Oooo, I like the idea of changeling losing a mask, food for thought.

I can imagine that might be what starts the real rivalry between Eraserhead and Changeling. Izuku most likely changes masks throughout the night, so maybe just after he shifted maskes Eraserhead got the drop on him, leading him to drop one.

Aizawa then taking it down to the police station to see if it can be analyzed or tracked down anywhere. To him and Tsukauchi's disappointment, it comes back as just a regular wooden mask that they can't trace back to anyone. But given the uniqueness of it, they know it has to be originally made by Changeling.

I wonder if this would lead to a situation of Aizawa trying to use the mask to bait changeling out into the open, like going on patrol with it on his hip or something. Since this is before the reveal (and probably before a lot of important events even happen) then at this point in time Changeling would be seen as a wild card. All Aizawa would know is that he can use the mask to force Changeling to get close to him.

It would be funny to see how Izuku gets the mask back, or better- if he ends up having to steal it from Aizawa at school. That would be interesting.

this is definitely what starts the rivalry/Changeling annoying Eraserhead. Izuku was sloppy and Eraserhead trying to capture him caused him to lose a mask, which at first Izuku blaims Eraserhead for instead of him being sloppy. so he makes it his mission to be a pain in his ass.

Izuku when he started would change masks anytime he was given a chance. but after this he learns to more careful and calculated with his changes.

Eraserhead and Tsukauchi definitely try to use the mask(the loveheart mask specifically) to lure Changeling in, but unbeknownst to them Izuku replaces it with a stronger mask(the incubus mask). so he really doesn't need it anymore.

though it is a hit to his pride and would like it back regardless, though he won't let them know that.

So! Overall, the AU is a No Quirks AU(which leads to some relationship shifts). The creatures and Magic they have replaces their Quirks, so a lot of their species are based on their Quirk, but some I went for 'vibes' rather than Quirk-based.

Let's address the first ones that need context rather than just a 'X is Y' first:

Izuku, AfO, and Shigaraki - AfO is a powerful Fae. Izuku and Shigaraki are part of a Changeling Child deal. AfO created a fae child to trade so that he could take Tenko. The fae child ended up not staying where he was supposed to, and was taken in by Inko and named 'Izuku'. This will lead to complications later. Tenko was renamed like in canon, and grew up as a Fae, while Izuku grew up thinking he was Human.

One for All users - OfA is a old and powerful Fae Deal between users, powerful enough to turn the user Fae. Yoichi was a Fae in the first place, and users 2-7 were Witches(Humans who could use Magic) where All Might had no Magic whatsoever before his Deal with Nana. All of them turned Fae. All Might and Izuku make a new Deal, intending to turn Izuku Fae, but he already is so it just re-awakens his dormant powers.

The Todoroki Family - Just fuckin. How could I not do the Demon/Angel hybrid combo? It matches Canon's Fire/Ice thing. So Enji is a Demon, Rei is an Angel. All of the kids have mixed traits and powers corresponding to Canon's Fire/Ice.

ofc! sorry it took me a sec to answer this Lean on Me by Erzay is a great fic that explores Hizashi's insecurities and Shouta's past as a not so great friend. It's a nice slowburn! Why Can't Friends Just Kiss On The Lips Sometimes by spinneraki is another great erasermic fic. It was written before Shirakumo was introduced, so it isn't exactly "up to date" on their backstories, but it's another mutual pining/slowburn where they only show their feelings for one another while they're both drunk And the Sky Wept by tiniest_hands_in_all_the_land is a great fic that explores erasermic's friendship falling apart after shirakumo's death and being built back up into a relationship in their mid 20s, it's definitely a fic I would check out. Dreaming of You by StarBeeCreates is a fun supernatural fic where hizashi is an incubus and shouta is a mortal that really should be dead with all the demons that feed off of him, but isn't. hizashi's interest is piqued, and they fall for each other as they unravel the mystery of why shouta's a living demon battery. as you can guess from hizashi being an incubus, this fic is nsfw Chasing Nightfall by Little_Moth and the_obsessed_dragon is another slowburn. This time it's an au about vampire aizawa encountering a bard mic who doesnt seem to be affected by aizawa's vampiric abilities. this one is explicit in later chapters. this is technically the first fic in an installment of other fics that arent finished (I havent seen an update from them recently so this might be it but I also havent looked recently.) but it's still nice to read on it's own imo!
