Idk why, but rn sk8 is like my full on comfort anime. I’m in the middle of watching AOT and Blue exorcist, but I seriously had like the worst day ever, sat on my bed, played the first episode of Sk8 the infinity again, and I feel like nothing even happened… never thought that I’d consider myself having a comfort anime, I’ve always had comfort characters, but I think I finally found the right anime 😂😭

im thinking of Reki and Langa a lot lately

specifically Reki

98% Reki thoughts bc hes a dumb little dork that 100% would smack his face on the same door multiple times bc his key didnt work either way so Skateshop Papa has to come all the way from home, like 5 hrs before his shift mind you, to tend to the dumb fox boy and his door problem.

Reki was never allowed to open by himself again. Langa has to go with him... who also gets stuck on the door sometimes-

Miya gets confused and worried about you everytime you touch wires and fiddle them

When you get shocked he'll only laugh a little then asked if you're ok, which he knows you are

When Reki found out about this, he would ask you to put some of your knowledge into his knowledge of building skateboards

When Langa saw you playing with electric things, he also want to play with it too but he only got shocked really badly, but he still want to learn how to handle it better

Joe and Cherry can see how Miya always looking/staring at you from a distance, when you're with Reki and Langa

Cherry thinks it's nice for Miya to find something/ someone he loves dearly

And Joe is happy that he's finally growing up

But that doesn't mean Cherry and Joe won't tease him about it

When they do that to Miya. His face will explode and yell random words and sentences at them

Miya was sitting on one of the stools in Joe's restaurant. He was silently watching you. The way you was putting a noodle in your mouth and faking it as a mustache with Reki and Langa.

Miya sighed and closed his eyes. "Gosh, they are really an idiot," he opened his eyes and smiles when you came back to his vision. "But they are surely my idiot." Miya flinched when he saw long pink hair flowing beside him.

Miya turned his head and saw Joe and Cherry with a smirk on their faces.

"Don't you da-"

"Aww our baby kitten is growing up so fast! Finding love and all!" Joe yelled.

"They're a good one, Miya, take good care of them." Cherry smiled at him. Miya's face was super red, his face start to turn into a pout.

"I don't know what you guys are talking about! I was only day dreaming about the new video game that's coming out last Thursday!!!" Miya yelled.

"You mean next Thursday right?" Joe tilted his head in confusion.

Now, he knows what your thinking. Langa should’ve just been a big boy and communicated his feelings to Reki. But, he didn’t want to make his best friend worry to death about him. What he wasn’t expecting were the repercussions of the secret being kept.

How did this all happen?

Reki had just watched Langa finally nail his trick. It took the new skater quite a few tries, and it was quite obvious that he was frustrated.

Regardless, the redhead threw his arms around his best friend excitedly, damn near jumping him onto the ground.

Langa grimaced at the contact, leading the other boy to instantly remove himself.

“Langa?” His eyebrows furrowed as a pout found its way to his lips.

“Don’t worry about it, Reki.” The blue-haired boy replied with a faint smile.

That was enough for Reki to enter overthinking mode. What did he do? Was someone hurting Langa? Was Langa hurt and didn’t want to tell him? Did Langa not like him anymore? What if? What if? What if?

“Sorry!” He chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck in a sudden meekness. “I just got a little excited, that’s all.”

“…Right.” Langa replied in a quiet monotone.

The redhead’s heart seized at the response. He fumbled his phone out of his pocket, opening any apps possible to feign getting a message.

“Oh man, mom needs me home. The twins got into the pantry and there’s applesauce all over the floor.” Reki sighed and faked a smile toward his best friend. “You know how babies can be eheh…”

“Don’t worry about it. Just let me know if everyone’s okay.”

“Right! I’ll let you know, see ya later!”

Reki’s should’ve known to actually going home. But, he didn’t know what else to do, so he went to see the person he knew would always have his back. He tried to keep his emotions in, but his mind was swimming, and he was quite honestly panicking.

With shaking hands, he pulled open the door to Sia La Luce. The restaurant was quite busy, given the time of the day. He was about to turn back around to deal with his emotions outside when he heard a voice over his shoulder.

“How many for- Reki? Why aren’t you in school?” Joe appeared from behind the kitchen, wiping his hands with a towel. “Reki?”

The redhead turned around, revealing the tears dripping down his cheeks, and the choked sobs he was barely managing to keep inside.

Joe’s gaze softened as he placed a reassuring hand on he boy’s shoulder. Reki closed his eyes and leaned into the contact, leading the older man to move his hand down to the small of his back.

The green-haired male observed the patrons in his restaurant, noticing that they were either finishing up their food, or hadn’t ordered yet. “I’m sorry to do this so suddenly, but I have a family emergency, and I need everyone to please leave.” Joe’s voice was calm, yet demanding, making the people realize he meant business.

Within five minutes, all of the patrons had left the building, leaving their bill money behind on the table. Joe turned to the crying boy and held both of his hands, “I’m right here, Reki. Take a minute, deep breaths.”

The younger male sniffled as he gasped in shallow breaths. His eyes were squeezed shut, tears leaking from them. He leaned forward quickly, letting his forehead collide with Joe’s chest. The older male didn’t hesitate to securely wrap the boy in a hug.

“Reki? What’s-“

“Langa ha-hates me.” the redhead choked, “He-He has to. He’s n-not himself.”

“I doubt he hates you.” Joe soothed, “Something must be up with him. I promise that everything is gonna be okay, okay?”

Reki sniffled and nodded as he leaned into the embrace. Joe whispered reassurances to him as he gently rubbed circles into the boy’s back. With his free hand, he took out his phone to text Kaoru a 911, only to hesitate with his thumb over the send button, noticing that the man had done the same.

Langa must’ve went to talk to him.

The two older men texted their plans, and within ten minutes all four of them were inside the restaurant. Reki hid his gaze from Langa, not wanting to piss his friend off.

“Okay, the two of you need to talk, right now.” Cherry noted, a secure hand on Langa’s shoulder.

“Reki I-“

“Langa I-“

The two spoke simultaneously, ceasing to let the other finish.

“Reki, talk.” Joe demanded.

“Langa I’m really sorry if I did anything to make you hate me I really don’t want to ruin our friendship and I’m just honestly really terrified of losing you because you’re one of my only friends and-“

“Reki.” Langa’s eyes were sympathetic, “Did I really scare you that badly? I’m so sorry!”

The redhead cocked his head as he blinked away threatening tears. “What does that mean?”

Langa sighed in remorse as he ran up to his friend, wrapping him in a hug. “When you jumped on me, you leaned on my bad shoulder. When I fell the time before landing it, I really messed up my shoulder. I didn’t want to tell you and make you worry, but now I see that I was wrong.”

Reki chuckled as he wiped his eyes “Did you really think that would work?”

“At first, yes. But now, no.” Langa couldn’t help but giggle too. “I’m really sorry, again. I should’ve just told you.”

“It’s okay. I’m just glad you don’t hate me or anything. From now on, no more secrets.”

“No more secrets.”

“How touching.” Cherry announced, “Have the two of you sorted things out? I’m not keen on keeping my shop abandoned this long.”

The two boys apologized as they looked at the ground.

“C’mon, Kaoru. I’m sure you have time to spare 15 minutes for a family emergency.” Joe teased.

“Family emergency…” the pink-haired male grumbled. He looked at the two boys and couldn’t help the smile that teased at his lips. “And what a wonderful family it is.”

Request: May I request a reki x reader where the reader is like egirl and like is secretly a pro at skateboarding maybe she has like alter ego at S called the Raven she called the raven because she secretly mysterious and the style and no one knows who she is since kinda wears like mask she is well known in S and the reader. Reki and the reader known eachother since childhood and reki doesn’t know the reader is pro skater at S since and maybe reki is sus about the reader since she always makes like excuses that she can’t skate or go to see reki at S. Maybe reki followers and sees The reader /Raven to racing Adam once they really competitive and reki recognized the reader and he shocked and gets worried about her. maybe she gets extremely injured by Adam (kinda the episode where cherry gets hit by Adam with skateboard only it’s the reader ) but almost dies literally And reki gets worried and check up her.

In the end she recovers and reki gets all emotional but they confess to eachother Sorry if this long prompt I really hope this make sense if not I can change it

You and Reki had been friends since you met at the skatepark, you had seen him around school many time before but he hadn’t seemed to notice you however after that fateful day in the skatepark where you gave him some advice on pulling off a trick before showing him, he was so excited that it was a fast friendship and after a day or two you were pretty much inseparable.

Unfortunately for Reki he spent so much time hiding S from you that he didn’t realize that you were already fully involved, you were one of the youngest skaters there, you were known as the Raven, you were always dressed in black with a mask that resembled a Raven to conceal your identity. You were good at what you did and climbed the ranks easily, you beat Cherry and Joe. As it stood you had grabbed the attention of Adam who had requested a race with you, you were worried but you had no one to talk to so instead you decided to help Langa with his skating because Reiki was a teacher but he wasn’t a good one.

“So what got you all wound up?” Reki asked as he sipped on the drink that you gave him. “What are you talking about?” You asked. “You seem distracted.” He answered. “Have you ever had to do something that you don’t want to do?” You asked. “Not really, I just don’t do it.” Reki shrugged. “You don’t worry about what people will think?” You asked. “People don’t think much of me anyway.” Reki shrugged. “That’s because they don’t realize how great you are.” You informed him “you are by the way.” “Yeah yeah.” He waved you off. “Hey guys did you see I did it!” Langa cheered and you both looked at him. “Of course we saw it but do it again to prove you got it.” Reki said as you smiled looking over to watch Langa complete one of the many basic tricks he needed to know.

That night you found yourself at the starting line, screams from the people around you drowned out by the nerves as you took a deep breath “Are you ready Raven?” Adam asked as he leaned down to look at you. “Are you?” You asked as you stepped around him to get ready. “Feisty today.” He smirked as he got in position next to you. “Do you want this race or are you just here to talk?” You asked. “Shall we?” He asked. “Mm.” You hummed as you face forward. The race went on for a while without any problems, Adam made usual power play of giving you the head start but when as the race progressed he decided to make things harder for you threw you completely off balance at the speed that you were traveling you were unable to adjust yourself, your board came out from under you and you hit the floor hard.

Reki watched on the screen as the Raven wiped out but as the underside of her board flipped up his eyes widened, he made that board. He made that board for his best friend, his crush. “Reki.” Langa said having recognised that skateboard. “You guys okay?” Shadow asked. “No, we need to get to The Raven.” Reki answered. “Come on old man.” “I’m still 24.” He grumbled as they all climbed into his car. By the time that they got there a crowd had gathered around you, mostly because they had noticed that you mask had broken and it was a chance to get a glance at your face, Reki pushed he was through and gently moved your head as Joe and Cherry (who had become quite fond of your alter ego) tried to move people away. Reki assessed the injuries, he could see the friction burns from you hitting the ground but lucky your face had been protected by the mask, he was more worried about your neck based on the way that you had landed but he had no option but to move you, they had to get you to the hospital. “How’s she doing?” Joe asked. “She’s out cold, I have to take to the hospital…” Reki answered. “You know her?” Joe asked. “Yeah, she’s been helping me teach Langa.” He answered. “I didn’t know that she even skated here.” “She kept her identity a secret and she was very good at it.” Cherry said “she never gave anything away.” “None of that matters now, come on I’ll take you to the hospital.” Shadow shouted from his car, Reki nodded and Joe helped him move you to the car before they headed off to the hospital.

When you woke up you were more than confused, the white walls were nothing like the dirt road that you remember falling onto, your body hurt though and when you looked over you saw the head of red hair that belonged to your best friend. “Reki?” You asked. “(Y/N)?” He asked head shooting up to look at you. “Hi.” You smiled softly. “Did you bring me here?” “Yeah, they called your mum though, she might never let you skate again.” He scratched the back of his head. “You know that would never stop me.” You smiled and he laughed. “Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked. “About the race?” You asked. “About everything, you know who you were, I could have modified your board, I could have helped!” His voice raised as he spoke and you reached forward taking his hands. “It started before we became friends and you were someone that I cared for so much, everything was fine without adding that to the mix, I just thought it was better this way.” You answered honestly. “Well you're someone that I love and I watched you fall and they explained that you might never open your eyes again because of your concussion.” He explained “please don’t do that again, I want to help you anyway that I can.” “You love me?” You asked. “I what?” He asked, cheeks turning red. “You said that you love me.” You pointed at him and then hissed as pain shot through your arms. “Will you stop that!” He ordered jumping up to gently place your arm back in a comfortable position. “Reki?” You asked softly and he looked at you. “I love you too.” You smiled. “Please just be more careful.” He pleaded. “Well now I have my mechanic start Reki, there’s no way anything could ever go wrong.” You winked “but while I’m out of commission you and Lange need to keep things interesting, you know so there’s something for me to make a big comeback for.” “Yeah okay.” Reki nodded. “One more thing.” You said and he looked at you “come here.” You gestured for him to come forward before you pressed a kiss to his cheek and watched as he became as red as his hair. “When I get out of here, you're going to get sick of me.” “Never,” He mumbled softly. “We’ll see.” You winked and he smiled, he knew that you still had a long way to go but you were getting better and that was all that he could ask for.
