It's New Year's Eve (or New Year's Day, depending on where you are), and are you looking to change things up for the year to come? Maybe paint your nails or dye your hair a new color, or maybe you just wanna start small and change your computer or phone background?

(I'm really proud of the original piece, actually. I've got it as my desktop background right now. Anyway...)

There's only a handful of designs up for grabs right now, but I'm hoping to add more eventually if this catches on and even open commissions for special order ones! I don't have the means to actually make physical merch yet (thinking about investing in a Cricut or something to at least make some stickers. Also thought about trying INPRNT), so I decided to start small with stuff like this!

What is Doc’s phone wallpaper? I feel like it’s either:

(1) the default iPhone wallpaper that came with the phone and he never changed it cause he has better things to do, or

(2) those autoplay slideshows of various pictures of the RS residents / town / desert, or

(3) some bizzare selfie that Lightning took when he stole his phone and messed with his settings (“it’s not my fault your password is so easy to guess!”) and Doc can’t figure out how to change it back.

I'm thinking something closer to number 2.

Lightning notices a few different ones offhand and asks if he can see. Doc hands him his phone because he's got nothing worth hiding on it.

There are far more pictures than Lightning expected and some of them surprise him. Current ones of the racing season and town make sense but there's an even amount of black and whites among them too.

He's tried to get into Doc's phone for a selfie to mess with him once but his password is actually too hard for Lightning to figure out lol

Progress Report 7/10

Taking a break from making So Many Wallpapers to bring you breaking gamedev updates re: TCM

I've been feeling really fatigued this last week especially, I'm not sure if its lingering exhaustion from the stress of the kickstarter, the unbearable summer heat (I live in the desert so), or I've just been neglecting myself but I've been really struggling to stay awake all day. That being said, there's lots I hope to get done this week but I'm trying to be realistic about what that workload will look like. I'm gonna play it by ear and see what I'm able to manage!

My #1 goal this week is to shift out of Kickstarter brain back into Coder brain and make some notable progress in implementing the new UI assets and transitions ingthing has ready for me.

Begin drafting a post ks devlog -> begin to write up the process of budgeting, research, and marketing strategies. To be made public on patreon and kickstarter within a few weeks' time.

Correct some backend issues on pledgebox

Begin work on making a LoFi Study Beats Youtube video with the TCM soundtrack (Maybe add thumbnail to the To Commission list)

Composer Melonine has completed work on 4 custom tracks for TCM!! They're SO GOOD YOU GUYS AUGH.

Currently focused on building the wallpaper pack. It includes all the game backgrounds, cgs (censored and not), cg backgrounds, daki art, and mousepad art in four different sizes (tablet (vert and horz), 1920x1080, two mobile resolutions i forget what they are off the top of my head but one was iphone 13 friendly and the other was a common android size)

Love letters are all mostly written, continue polishing their visual components and then export into a nice, neat folder of pdfs for distribution soon.

I literally just spent 2 hours figuring out how to properly use iphone’s “focus” feature, so that I can hopefully avoid having to turn off all of my notifications when I live near my parents again soon

I literally just made identical phone home screens with slightly different wallpapers, but one has social media notifications off and one doesn’t

it was a terrible terrible waste of time… but now my mind can be at ease lol
