anyway im super proud of this!! dont have time to do much big drawings so this was. a pain but i’m very happy!

hi! I'd read nana first if I were you — it's a longer running series so the characters are more fully fleshed out, and the story's more interesting (and a little darker) than paradise kiss

but if you prefer to read physical manga, then paradise kiss isn't a bad place to start! I started with that one because nana hadn't been reprinted at the time and physical copies of the individual volumes were harder to find. they make an omnibus edition of paradise kiss that's fairly inexpensive, it's a bit cumbersome to handle and the pages are pretty thin, but ai yazawa's art really shines in print so it's worth it!

#nana has since had lots of volumes reprinted so you could check your library to see if they have it!#obviously reading digitally is fine but I think some mangaka's styles just look 100x better in print (yazawa araki fujimoto etc)#so it's worth seeking those out if you can :)
