While the Epic Mickey video game is getting a remastered version (and that's a good thing, because that video game is really underrated), it's a shame that Disney canceled a video game project called Epic Donald for stupid reasons. It would be like Epic Mickey (spin-off to be exact), but Donald would star as the hero who saves Duckburg from various troubles and villains. Donald would be like Indiana Jones, but you should know that Indiana Jones was modeled after the Carl Barks comics and the adventures of Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey and Louie.

That game would be based on the Carl Barks comics with some references from the OG Ducktales and in addition to Donald, there would be Scrooge McDuck, Donald's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, Gyro Gearloose, Magica de Spell, Launchpad McQuack, Beagle Boys, Gladstone Gander and other characters (with appearances by Goofy and Mickey). And these are some of the concepts for this game which was specially left by one of the last current American writers and artists for Donald Duck comics Patrick Pat Block. It was also planned to realize the video game Epic Mickey Racers in which famous Disney heroes would race, and one of them would be Scrooge McDuck who would ride a motorcycle together with Donald's nephews. This sounds familiar, doesn't it?

It's a great shame that they canceled this video game (especially after Ducktales Remastered Game), because if they had realized it, they would have realized how much they could do with Donald Duck, his family and friends, and the comic book material, which there is a lot of, and people, through the video game, could be interested. for Carl Barks comics, as well as other comics by other authors, especially in America where interest in Donald Duck comics has declined since the 1980s era. In Europe he would be even more popular because Donald is a much more popular character than Mickey (which is not to say that Mickey doesn't have a role in his comics, especially look at Egmont and the Italian comics) and has a significant role in those comics. I have a feeling that American Disney has a lot of intolerance towards Disney comics, which is unfortunate. Shame on you Disney!

I wish that this idea and this video game could be realized and that Donald could be restored to his old reputation. This is just my opinion.

A Date at the Diner

Summary: A blurb in which you and Mike go out on a date where it's actually just the two of you, but come to find out, you prefer the old version more.

Warnings: Just a blurb were you and Mike are on a date and giving each other witty banter. It does get the slightest bit implicate-y but that's it. Just banter.

Author’s Snip: Saw the FNAF movie and we be simping for Mike. Am I surprised? No. It was foretold in our tea leaves. This was written in stone, and so was William.

Notes: This has no actual ties to the movie or reference to it at all other than one niche one that's literally just a cameo.

"Did we really have to go out?" you tease as you look across the table at Mike as you both sit down at a booth table in a small diner. Mike looks up at you a bit confused before shrugging. "I thought it would be nice to actually have a night where it was just the two of us." he said.

"No sitting on the couch watching rented movies with Abby here half the time till I shoo her off to bed," Mike explained glancing at you with a soft gaze, "Just..." he muttered before holding your hand from across the table "You and me." he concluded more confidently.

You smile and laugh a little, "Well what if I like those date nights where we have our little third-wheel. If I'm honest, her movie taste isn't too half-bad. I'm okay with watching Never Ending Story and Princess Bride till she gets tired and we can watch more stuff catering to us." you remark. "What's wrong with here?" Mike asks prompting you both to look around.

You grimace a bit at the faded colors of the diner, looking like it's past it's golden times by a little, and shrug. "Nothing," you respond, "I just like the homey feel that our rent-a-movie dates have better." you say as you glance back at Mike for a bit holding his hand a bit tighter. "I like it anywhere you are." you flirt.

"Even if there's a risk of Abby catching us sucking face." you joke with a wink. "Well then," Mike says in response, "Maybe we can suck face in peace later on toni-"Mike attempts as a joke of his own but gets cut off by a waiter handing the menu to the two of you and talking about one of the dishes like he's being paid per word.

Prayer from the Pagan

I did it I finished it ughhhhh This scene has stuck in my mind for so long and I just thought that something should have been done, so this happened.

And I even wrote a fic for it. Haha. Help.

Some details for archaeology nerds:

The pattern on the pillow is from the circular brooch found in the Pentney hoard, which was located in East Anglia at the time. In contrast of the celtic brooches worn by vikings, which we are more familiar with, this type of brooches were the one anglo-saxon nobles commonly wore. This one was dated around AD800-840, made in Trewhiddle style, popular in the period Alfred lived in, and it is now in the British Museum.

And the cross on the ground is from the pectoral cross found in the Galloway hoard, which at the time was in Northumbria. It was also built in Trewhiddle style, dated around AD900, now in National Museums Scotland, and despite not looking obvious on the picture it was actually made in silver!

And the whole tomb effigy thing—ok, it was not a thing until mid-11th century but since there was one in the tlk universe I just went yolo, lol. I think what the crew took as a reference was the one for Æthelstan, but that was built in 15th century and Æthelstan himself isn’t there, so yeah, that didn’t exist during the time they lived.

love waking up from a dream having been gifted with THE MOST PROFOUND KNOWLEDGE THAT I MUST WRITE DOWN AND SHARE WITH THE WORLD IMMEDIATELY only to properly wake up like 2 minutes later and being like "this is nonsense".
