the fellowship at the beach:

aragorn: knows exactly where to go for peak waves and sun. it’s not crowded and quite frankly the fellowship is unsure if they’re technically trespassing but it’s a good enough time for them not to care. likes to set up canopies and umbrellas for everyone then disappears for like 2 hours on a walk/hike.

boromir: likes to grill/camp out. he enjoys large bond fires and roasting marshmellows. during the day he likes to do beach volleyball or swim in the ocean, a very physical dude. enjoys activities,,, has to be doing something.

merry: likes to fly kites with boromir on the dunes. not a huge fan of water, enjoys playing games and building large sandcastles. he and pippin like to turn gandalf into a sand mermaid when the can, as well as dig a giant moat with gimli.

pippin: gets sunburnt everytime. has so much sand in his hair. gets it everywhere. is a walking disaster- has lost several hats, sunglasses, beach toys, wallets, keys, phones,,,, everything pippin has in his possession when he comes to the beach he will no longer have when he leaves. this also includes the many stickers, magnets and keychains he swipes from nearby shops for keepsakes. wants to rent a jetski but no one will go with him.

frodo: likes to wade in the water and collect pretty seashells. brings them back to his friends to show them off. finds rocks in all shades and sizes, brings samwell heart shaped rocks as well as any cool colored ones that remind him of sam. gandalf once asked why frodo never brought him any rocks, in which frodo started collecting all grey rocks and bringing them to gandalf. funnily enough, most rocks are some shade of grey, and gandalf got rather sick of pebbles being chucked at him.

sam: has many towels and lots of sunscreen. very prepared with the snacks, brings sandwiches and drinks for everyone! likes to hang out in the shade and walk along the shore. enjoys the touristy shops along the coast, especially likes the salt water taffy and keychains. laughs loudly at all the gimmicky tourist traps,,,, always goes in/falls victim to them.

legolas: is weird about sand,,,,, cannot have it between him and something else. ex: between the shoes, clothing, hair. has to be directly on him or nothing at all (walking barefoot) once they are even within proximity the beach he jumps out immediately charges towards the water. likes to push people in/splash them.

gimli: no shoes no shirt no problem,,, immediately in just swim trunks as soon as they pull up to the parking lot. enjoys building massive sand castles with the hobbits as well as digging deep trenches to trap their compatriots in. they cover it with a towel, someone falls in and nearly breaks their neck- good times.

gandalf: brings a book to read, likes to chill in the shade and listen to the waves. falls asleep more often then not, wakes up barricaded in sand or made into a sand sculpture. will disappear suddenly and come back with ice cream. no one knows where he got it. he does not share or tell anyone where he gets this mysterious ice cream either.

bilbo: is reading with gandalf. he brings some iced tea and good sunglasses and just relaxes. he is a active people watcher, likes to eavesdrop as well as note and speculate on interesting figures. likes to do some light journaling/writing as well.

gollum: is fishing. lurks in the bay and attempts to catch fish with his bare hands, then proceeds to immediately eat them raw. also chases seagulls- will chath and eat those as well. he is, unfortunately, quite successful in this. he is also no longer allowed in or around several public beaches.

Gorgug Thistlespring has fully possessed my brain soooooooo

Headcanons

Mostly listens to like, rock music and sad boy indie music. Every song on Zeldas playlist is in his liked songs.

(I saw someone draw him in a shirt that said 'Mithril Maiden' on it which i assume is the like, in-universe version of Iron Maiden and it is his favorite band)

Enjoys to sew and embroider. Also made about a hundred thousand of those little woven friendship bracelets after Kristen taught him some designs.

All of his stuff is covered in stickers, patches, and pins.

Transmasc Demiboy & Bisexual

He's been gauging his ears since the 7th grade (theyre at a 12mm) and he got his septum peirced in the 8th grade. He gets a vertical labret when they're in Leviathan.

In the Thistlespring tree, way up in the branches, Gorgug has a hammok tied up and a small table built onto the tree. During summer break, he can spend full days up in the hammok listening to music and drawing or making/tinkering with something.

Replaced his shoelaces with those fancy stretchy ones so he can slip his shoes on and off easier.

Farsighted

Gorgugs sketchbook and journal are one book, so people dont often see his drawings. He doesnt carry the book around with him, in exclusively lives in the shoebox under his bed, along with a small collection of cassette tapes, condoms (his parents insisted) a lighter, some cool heart-shaped pebbles Zelda gave him, and the last of the duskmoss from the nightmare forest.

Hasnt cut his hair since 7th grade and has no intention of doing so any time soon.

The white streaks in his hair are more prominent, laced all through the front half of his hair and down through his right eyebrow.

He likes to get stoned and do yoga like, once or twice a week. It helps with mindfulness and self-grounding.

(dont tell anyone but he usually finishes his routine up with a good shower cry as a way to release that pent up anger- doing yoga helps bring those emotions to the surface in a healthy way so that he can expel them after).

Really, really likes grilled cheese and carrot sticks.

Unrestored 1934 Mercedes-Benz 500 K Offener Tourenwagen,

The name Offener Tourenwagen, or “open touring car,” in Mercedes-Benz parlance often brings to mind the vast and weighty 770 Ks of the late 1930s. On their sibling supercharged 500 K chassis, however, it referred to something entirely different: a very attractive two-door open model, with a rather low, subtly curving beltline, that recalled the powerful Sports 4 style of earlier K and S-type models. It was a very sporting automobile and one of the most masterful creations of the factory coachbuilders at Sindelfingen, who finished each body with the superb craftsmanship and quality materials for which they were renowned.

Chassis 105355, is one of only five surviving examples of this style on the 500 K chassis. According to its original Mercedes-Benz kommission sheet, a copy of which is on file, this car was originally delivered in late 1934 to Rudolf Hess of Berlin, one of the highest ranking members of the ruling National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Hess famously flew solo to Scotland in 1941 in a failed attempt to get the UK to exit the war. Instead, he was taken prisoner and convicted. To the victors, however, go the spoils: The 500 K was eventually commandeered at the end of WWII, and like so many of its brethren, wound up being used by American GI’s in Germany, then afterward came to the US.

As early as 1955, the car was in the ownership of V. Link Milsark of Vienna, West Virginia; a copy of a West Virginia title in his name, dated that year, is on file. Known to friends as “The Mayor of Rose Holler,” Mr. Milsark was an auto mechanic, aviator, model train collector, and a genuine character in every sense of the word. He is not known to have shown the 500 K in his decades of ownership but was nonetheless an enthusiastic owner, maintaining membership in and listing the car with the Classic Car Club of America for decades.

Mark Smith acquired the long-hidden Milsark 500 K in 2005 through what can only be described as one of his characteristic transactions, involving multiple cars and parties. He was undoubtedly pleased with the acquisition, which remained one of the great centerpieces of his collection ever after.

Retaining its original, numbers-matching chassis and engine per factory records, as well as the original typenschild on the firewall, the car remains startlingly original, never restored, and “improved” only as necessary over the years. Mr. Smith kept it much as he acquired it, with sensitivity towards preserving the condition in which it had been left by its long-term prior owner. At some point the bottoms of the front seats were replaced and covers were fit over the seat backs; the balance of the interior, including the door cards and rear seat, is that fitted at Sindelfingen in 1934. A 1955–1956 West Virginia DMV inspection sticker is even still intact on the windshield.

Mr. Smith exhibited his 500 K in the Prewar Preservation class at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® in 2006, and at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in 2019, where it received an Amelia Award in the exclusive 500 K/540 K class. Due to its high degree of originality and fascinating history, it ought to be a welcome entrant into many other concours, recognizing what its longtime owners saw in it: a very special automobile, made only more so by its passage through time.

Uhh here's a thing I'm writing, it's the first chapter

Chapter One

Rows of townhouses lined the streets, streetlights illuminated the wet streets, the area recently built as shells of houses could be seen in the distance. The smell of rain leaked through the slightly cracked window as people walked down the sidewalk of the newly developed area; only a few years prior it was empty land. The area was lively, yes but one couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness as they gazed at the carbon copy townhomes without a sense of individuality to spare, the cars parked in the microscopic driveways looked nearly identical.

The developing Township once farmland was unrecognizable, it's once warm atmosphere exchanged for a faceless memory no one could recall, a cheap shot at life.

The sound of the train could be heard in the background, metal clanking against itself as it barreled through the track that connected in the middle of this new development without care, breaking the deafening silence that surrounds the area. Beyond the town stood trees upon trees, primarily oaks but pines could be seen peeking through the darkness as the sound of the wheels hit the wet dirt road, a loud crunching sound from the pebbles hitting the dirt.

Reaching over Dana turned on the radio, wanting to break the silence as music played, the radio station the same as she remembered it. It never could fully connect and had a slightly crackle to it while classical music along with the occasional pop song played through, she remembers when she was younger the hosts for the local radio station could never get along with what they wanted played through the airwaves.

The smell of old tea was faint, her to go cup forgotten as she focused on the shrouded darkness, the lights of her car barely pierced the trees that went on endlessly, no streetlights to guide as the lights of her slightly beat up red van with worn out bumper stickers from her teen years, quotes and references barely legible from years of being on and damage from the elements.

The radios static progressed as she got closer to her grandparents house, the car losing connection with the radio tower that Dana couldn't even remember how far, the clock in her car reading '10:38 pm' in the old digital font, the hazy green from the clock the only thing lighting the car.

Cursing the radio she turned it off, the static now unbearable and distracting.

A single car passed, a beige little car with a slightly rusted grill and a faded license plate that was barely legible.

The back lights of the car lit her car for a second as the car faded from the rearview mirror, she was alone again.

Though it wasn't technically real company, it was nice.

The road felt endless and she almost missed the turn to the house. It was an older house, built in the 1930s with mismatched bricks and white trimmings. She wondered if they installed the Air conditioning like they were talking about on the phone. She hoped so, the rain would only keep the air cool for so long. Parking into the dirt driveway she collected her things from the back, a duffle bag and laptop bag was all she needed.

The ground was muddled from rain, her steps collecting dirt and mud and a light splash from puddles hidden in the night staining her jeans causing her to curse slightly at the mess. Walking up the two wooden steps she looked around, noting the plants hadn't been watered in a few days, something that was strange to her as her grandmother was very particular with her plants.

Three knocks to the oak door she waited for an answer, she knew it was late but someone was home. They never were out past nine pm.

She stood for five minutes before knocking again, turning the knob and realizing it was open "they probably knew I was coming.." she mumbled, no one came around these parts so it made sense, her Grandfather had sleep apnea and her grandmother loved to sleep to the sound of nature so hearing a knock wouldn't be easy.

Keeping quiet she carefully took off her shoes, not wanting to get in trouble for making a mess on the floor as she glanced around before walking to her room. It hadn't changed, the posters from her teen years and girlish bedding and shades of pink and green everywhere and her swimming trophies on a shelf by the window. It hadn't been touched in years but her grandmother obviously came in and dusted, how kind of her. The mirror had photos of high school friends and celebrity crushes and an old concert ticket that was faded out but the words vaguely read Midnight cowboy, it was a good concert.

Setting her bags on the empty desk she changed into clean sleep clothes, Christmas pajama pants and an old shirt from college.

Her bed was cold, the smell of fabric softener fading as her vision clouded into darkness, the exhaustion from the drive overtaking her… she hoped her grandmother would make her something for breakfast tomorrow.

I think shadow gets a lot of headaches but got them the most after spending 50 years in the freezer (thats not the right word I know but I forgot what it's actually called) so rouge has a habit of keeping headache meds in her pockets for this specific reason. also I think using chaos control makes the headaches worse sometimes. also I don't think omega understands what a headache is

also I think sonic is either weirdly skilled at tying his shoelaces fast or just refuses to tie them. tails struggles to tie them so she made a little clip thing to keep them tied and amy mostly wears shoes with the velcro things that stick together so this isn't an issue for her but she's really good at tying shoelaces into ribbons and stuff and showed cream how to tie hers in cool ways

also on the topic of cream. I think she's a shiny rock collector. occasionally she just goes down to the river or something and collects a bunch of pebbles and uses the non shiny ones for rock painting and puts the siny or smooth ones into a box with alot of stickers on it and stuff

sonic mostly wears buckled shoes so i think he can’t tie his shoes but maybe that’s just me.

scout: ok so we know he draws but yknow what??? his passion is collecting little knick knacks and anything fun he finds along the road. he'd probably go running and get distracted by that odd looking pebble so he'd snag it and plop it into his box of goodies

solider: oh my god soldier would do yoga. please. i mean look this man is beefed up he could easily hold the difficult poses and a mans gotta work on his flexibility!!!!! soldier probably caught sniper doing yoga once and called him a fairy, but when sniper replied by saying how unamerican it is of him to not be flexible you KNOW soldier is now religiously doing yoga every morning. (turns out he actually likes it but shh)

pyro: they do photography :)!!! they have little photo albums filled with candid photos of everyone and yes of course they decorate the album with heart and star-shaped stickers. engie puts his favourite photos onto the fridge and they couldn't be happier!!

demo: ooh demo would do pottery!! he'd have a whole station and a good chunk of the plates and bowls in the communal kitchen would be made by him. he would also make the most rancid novelty mugs. most definitely a dick and balls mug.

heavy: he would absoloutely build miniatures and he would be Damn good at it. his miniatures would be kept in pristine condition and he'd get engie to help build him some lights or moving trains to add life. he'd hand paint and craft everything and would not let the offense team even LOOK at it because they would accidentally crush it.

engie: oh this guy loves to do puzzles. its the perfect Old Man activity that is engaging enough but also you can put some music on and its a ticket straight to Relax City Baby!!!!!!

medic: he'd do gardening but in the way crowley from good omens does gardening. he yells at the plants if they aren't doing good enough and violently trimming the dead leaves is great for stress relief!

sniper: ok so this man has definitely tried every imaginable hobby on the planet but i think among his favourites would be whittling/woodcarving. partially because theres a knife envolved, but also because he finds it super relaxing to slowly trim away at some woodblock, and with enough patience it turns into something useful! very practical that man

spy: this man's got a Passion for Fashion and i think he would design his own clothing! sewing clothes is a long and often frustrating process, so he'd really enjoy the battle and sink his teeth into it. he'd grab his favourite bottle of wine and start sewing!!

[a package arrives, it is sealed with a Koffing-Sticker.

Inside is... a jar of Honey! There are also a few printed photographs! they show: a very small dawn stone, about 3 inches across

a small pebble. It is very round, almost spherical and light grey in color. I thas a small dark line running right across the middle

a lightly grey, almost white-ish rock. It is sort of flat on one side and has three differently sized spikes on the other. It looks a little bit like a tiny mountainrange. The background is a typical forest floor... except it seems like the brightness is turned up

another rock. It's slightly darker in color and has a tint of brown to it. It's longer and more flat than the other rock and is pointy at one end. It also has a slight protrusion at the side

another pebble! It is very round but flat, except for a small indent on one side. It has two different colors. One part is almost white, the other is a light red-ish or pink color, split about 2/3 and 1/3 respectively. There is a also a black line that runs across the white part and exactly at the border to the pink, it splits into three more lines.

a... cranidos sitting on a forest floor. It is happily smiling at the camera, eyes closed, it is gnawing at a pebble. The top of its head is a light, but saturated red. The usually colorful marking on its back is completely white.

a maple leaf. There is nothing special about it except that it has a pretty light green color

a patch of moss on a birch tree. It looks... suspicious. there are two somewhat circular patches at the bottom that fuse into a sort of elongated... shaft.

there is also a letter! It reads:

Hello Hello ~ You wanted some cool photos from the white forest! So here you go. Also i thought you might enjoy this honey! It's from my parents farm, from the Monarch-Vespiquen in particular. I got it specifically for you (i visited my parents for this), because you might be interested in a little trivia! The Monarch-Vespiquen is a hybrid Pokémon! It's actually part Beedrill, which is why she is the Monarch after all. She decides which of the hives collect what kind of pollen and nectar and produce different kinds of honey. This specific jar is linden honey and was (partially) produced by the Monarch-Vespiquen herself! it's from last year though. This year she's doing fir honey, and not everyone likes that... - love, Tix]

Thinking of the Krulu offerings posts, what sort of gifts would the others like? Would they want expensive trinkets; elegant hand-crafted items; or are they just going to melt at the implication that you were even thinking of them? (cough)patches(cough)

What gifts they like

Breg enjoys anything informative the most. Although it takes him a little while to read, the monster enjoys books too. Movies, romance book and very cliché romantic trinkets will do. But then again, he'll take anything you give him and get emotional, you could toss a pebble at the breeder, he'll squeal with joy.

Well, aside from booze, Fasma has a collection of keychains going on. The monster man may be tiny, but he has a fondness for shinny things. Do you have ridiculously expensive custom lighters? He also collects those.

Don't cook for Morell, he appreciates the effort but he's not going to be able to see it past his criticism. Instead, give him kitchen utensils, wacky stuff, funny aprons, that type of thing.

Vinnel likes clown-themed stuff. He has a small collection of ugly clown dolls somewhere. In general, anything clowncore or ugly is greatly appreciated. Has a small fondness for crooked toys as well, don't ask why. You can also give him bells, he needs those.

Gallon has peculiar tastes, you'll never quite know what he'll like. It either has to be really amusing or small and elegant. Like a glass paperweight with something glowing inside. He's a minimalist when it comes to decorations.

Santi loves gold, although that's understandably expensive. He insists people don't give him anything since his tastes are pricey, but jewelry is the fastest way to the incubus' heart. Or pants. Anything that flashes mostly. Either that or shitpost shirts, the "art thou nasty" kind.

Grimbly likes just about anything. He craves stuff. All the things. Give him more. If you see something cute that you think will fit him, he'll be very happy you got it for him. That being said, he has an endless Amazon wishlist so, don't bite off more than your poor wallet can chew just because he gives you puppy eyes.

Patches honestly doesn't even believe you'd give him anything. He's secretly a metalhead, and also a bit of a manic horse girl, so you're better off giving him hot topic trash or like, horse-themed stuff. Give him a metal horse shirt and this dullahan will take the knee right then and there. You're the one.

Nebul is another one whose tastes aren't too clear. As a monster who has lived for a longer while, he appreciates things that can still shock him. Bizarre stuff, thingamajigs with no real purpose- Something that screams and weilds knives, show him stupid stuff. Alternatively, he "eats" precious pearls. And by eats I mean he just shoves them in the mist of his head and dissolves them. Why? It apparently feels good.

I think we've discussed at length what Krulu wants by now, but he's by far the most demanding one. Remember to keep sentiments in mind when you offer them things. A statuette that reeks of boredom or spite is offensive to him.

Fank-e, bless his robot heart, wants just about the most cringe-inducing items you can get a hold of. Invader Zim t-shirts, neon bracelets, things so colorful it'll make most people's eyes vomit. Big fan of stickers, get him as many as you can, or glue them to his frame, he covers the broken part of his visor with them too.

Ludwig just wants food man. He's a hungry boy and he eats trash all the time, so give him a nice meal for once. He's not too attached to material possessions, even if his demon instincts tell him to hoard stuff at times, he mostly doesn't care that much. Ironic gifts always get a laugh out of him, such as glasses, which do nothing since his eyes are always closed.

Sandals, gelato, can pull off white, history buff, throws coins into wishing wells, gold jewellery, perfectly roasted coffee beans, tucking their hair behind their ear only to have it fall into their face a few second later, distinctive style of sunglasses, walks everywhere, the epitome of someone who “stops to smell the roses”, oriental floral perfume, thick hair.

Prague:

Really into architecture, photogenic but hates having their picture taken, may seem a little distant, defensive, strong connection to their roots, likes cold weather, faux fur coats, bitter coffee, Slytherin vibes, knows what they want out of life, Villanelle from Killing Eve, long kept secrets, monochromatic outfits, snowflakes in their hair, cat like eyes, hands in their pockets.

Tokyo:

Watches anime religiously, aesthetic fairy lights in their bedroom, cute tech accessories, energetic, probably has a seemingly out of character emo playlist, vibrant outfits, collects quirky stickers and clothing pins, changes their hair style/colour a lot, neon signs, stuffed toy collection, watches movies that no one has heard of, sweet tooth, Disney obsessed.

Los Angeles:

Sun bleached hair, palm trees, a little bit naive, their favourite colour is turquoise, rollerskating, big eyes, sheltered, always looks on the bright side of life, thinks a trip to the beach can cure depression, social media generation, instagram filters, Lana Del Rey, sells their art on Etsy, loves reality TV, converse shoes, burns sage to banish bad vibes.

Dubai:

Conflicting personality traits, strong spiritual beliefs, wind swept hair, probably comes from money, family values, mosaic tiles, loves lounging by the pool, the view outside a plane window, billowing skirts/dresses, pebble gardens, statement earrings, hand tattoos, expensive tastes, doesn’t take selfies because they make whoever they’re with take full body shots.

Personality: They are an energetic and intense child with sadistic tendencies. They find other people being scared or in pain hilarious!

He’s very much an attention- and thrill-seeker, and can’t stand boredom or being ignored, meaning that they can be quite reckless and annoying. They’re insensitive at times, since they don’t get why other people’s feelings matter. Unlike canon, this version of the Collector does know what death is, and they don’t get why people get so upset about it. Why be so upset when they’re a mortal who was gonna die soon anyway?

The Collector can be surprisingly perceptive at times. They can also seem very oblivious, due to a combination of denial as a trauma reaction, not noticing stuff , and not understanding social cues. Star is the type of kid that many would view as a “problem child” --and because of their powers, they can be quite dangerous but, like many real-life “problem children”, they’re act like that due to being lonely and traumatised. They want to be loved, but they don’t understand how to have healthy relationships. He deeply cares about his friends (he is callous and apathetic to pretty much everyone else) and is fiercely protective of them, as well as quite clingy and somewhat possessive. However, they are capable of learning boundaries and learning how to have healthier relationships. His friends tend to be the ‘exception to the rule’ when it comes to the Collector being violent and sadistic..

He is usually a lot nicer when around King, and when around friends who encourage kindness (the opposite if their ‘friend’ encourages their crueller side, such as Belos).

The Collector was neglected by the other collectors, and spent much of their early childhood wandering space alone.

They found the boiling isles planet by themself, and they lived there for a couple centuries or so before some other collectors found them and decided to annihilate the titans.

Can react to mirrors with intense fear and/or anger, depending on his mood—especially if they’re round mirrors.

Very, very touch-starved. They will most likely flinch if someone tries to touch them, unless they’re the one who touches the other person (such as by holding hands). Can be very clingy with friends. He finds physical touch such as hugs very grounding, especially if he’s dissociating. They like tight hugs from friends because then they feel sure they won’t be left behind.

stims: hand flapping, chewing their sleeves, pulling on his hat, spinning, humming, repeating his and other people’s words. He also has some self-destructive stims like biting and scratching.

Was supposed to collect living things, but finds it boring when living things aren’t doing anything, so he rarely does that, instead opting to collect anything that interests him: smooth pebbles, pieces of glass, bones, eyeballs, teeth, plushies, stickers.

Chaotic neutral

After being freed and splatting Philip, they sometimes find themself missing him. Even though he was not a real friend, he’d been their only companion for 350+ years.

Boredom is actually quite painful for them to experience, hence why they avoid it at all costs.
