I suffer from side couple syndrome at a level that is more severe than literally anyone I know

and the reason I’m so excited for we are is because there are THREE side couples, and all of them are the actors for the three main side couples that BRUTALLY murdered me this year: winnysatang, aouboom, and marcwin (aka soundwin, jengpok, and guynawa)

A Sign Of Affection - Just Why?!?!

AHHH Damnit Why?? I just watched the second episode of A Sign Of Affection and they introduce the best friend Oushi, he is in love with her and I could see it the very first moment he looked at her.

I mean look at these two they are absolutely adorable together. The innocents with her and even the genuine way he looks at her I want to be like nope 1000% team Itsuomi but damn its definitely not easy to shop one over the other now.

Like there is no denying there is something between them and when she looks at Oushi she doesn't look at him like that but I also feel like its because he hasn't been honest with her how he feels. Now its too late for him because her interest has switched to Itsuomi.

But seriously why do these shows do this. They show us a sweet couple and your like yep them to the end and then they bring in the second leading man and it leaves you conflicted. I feel like this is Snow White With The Red Hair all over again where it be you ship Shirayuki with Zen or with Obi. Always the friend guy seems to get left behind which is why its a trope that pulls me in so much.

Seriously not only that but why in the world bring him into the picture by 2nd episode plus make him attractive too. Like WTF reminds me also of some of the otome games that leave us liking side characters that aren't dateable. I so prefer anime's that are straight through one guy the rest all fall back as side characters but damn it this is gonna leave me conflicted to the end and I was looking earlier it seems like he is heavy in the manga too so its gonna suck either way to watch this man get hurt.. Thanks to makers of these games and anime's why would you drag our hearts through hell like this. I mean look at how he looks at her there is so much love there damn it.

It hurt less than before maybe its working maybe I like him less like his stupid hair, his stupid clothes, his stupid ugly face way less than before. "Is everything okay? " Roderick asks breaking my thoughts, no not really "yeah".

"Okay breath, just walk up to him you got this" I say coaching myself with Rodrick Infront of me for reinforcement Ig. "Hey mister prez, these are the tryouts right?" Rodrick announces grabbing his attention.

Mikey POV

"Yep.. and who's that hiding?" I ask walking around Rodrick to confirm my hope "my friend Carmen, really enjoys baseball" Rodrick says swinging the bat around, I never knew they were friends "id hope so it a really good sport" I tell them handing Carmen my bat "nice to see you again".

Rodrick POV

“Oh we are so in he even gave you his bat” I whisper in her ear which is probably more like a yell that cues her turning around i duck “easy there Carmen”I say covering my head. Probably should have factored the bat in.

“Hey you okay?” Mikey says running over to us. “I knew you’d be lethal with a bat” a voice from behind the gate says, I didn’t think she’d be here this early this isn’t even my nice shirt.

Carmen POV

"Sorry bout that!, I'm usually like ....i- I honestly don't know any baseball" I say loosening hold on the bat. "It's alright, I'm sure you'll turn out a Babe Ruth in that making" Mikey says bringing my elbows up standing back straight up I turn to him " oh oh you wanna hear a joke?, I think you'd be a Ruth too you know why?" He shakes his head smiling already I think he knows the joke "cause you're a babe" I giggling out "that was- was honestly the best pun Ive ever heard" Mikey smiles even bigger making me laugh more I knew someone would find it funny too.

"Your getting good is that what those poetry classes are doing for you, is it any fun?" Chanel asks trying not to laugh "dont be mad I've topped your dad joke quota" I cackle. "But uh Rodrick can describe it all he's in the same class, right?" I ask but I of course already know.

"Oh sounds cool" Chanel says "y'all should go over some more, probably behind the gate I'm a little out of shape" I say twirling the bat. Chanel cackles now "alright lethal weapon, we'll support from here".

Raising my arms back up I try to maintain a professional stance. "That's pretty good, now we'll pull back anddd-" he pushes twisting my body forward "swing" he finishes as we pretend to watch my invisible ball seemingly land. I watch him turn back to me out my peripheral vision "whatcha doing?" He asks "my balls still going see" I point to the sky making a long 'shooo' sound dragging my hand down and then a 'bom' sound signifying it now has landed.

"come on you said I was Babe Ruth, ain't he good right?" I state "that I did" Mikey responds I line back up to Shoot ? Swing? yeah swing. "Do you really think I'm a babe?" Mikey asks quite cheeky I huff "I have to remain professional Mickey" I say twirling the bat. Mikey let's out a fit of pure laughter confusing me "what?" "Mikey, you say it like Mickey" did I? "Oh sorry" I apologize "don't be I like it, it's cute San Diego" "San Diego?" "Like where on earth is Carmen San Diego" "oh you know my name, I didn't even remember to tell you" I rushed out "don't worry Carmen I always knew" he laughs "..oh, thanks".
