What if I was a lonely brooding man but my features softened as I stared at you adoringly?

Character relationship tropes I like
Angry intimidating looking character who just has a serious case of "that's just my face :(".
And their best friends (or partners :))
Happy-go-lucky ray of sunshine looking character and shy introverted very quiet character who both have a shit ton of hidden internal rage that could kill a god. These two consider attacking people daily for upsetting their "that's just my face :(" friend.
The "that's just my face :(" friend wouldn't harm a fly and stops their best friends from attempting homicide daily. They have the brain cell of the group most of the time

“There was only one bed trope” but there are two beds and three people and no one can agree on who gets to sleep alone so they all sleep in one bed out of spite.

Something what I really love about SS & eremika is that thier love is so beautiful & tragic. Nobody in thier respective universe had experience what they experienced both ships were put in to different circumstances in which the reason why they called 'toxic' both men were focused on thier goals, goals that were far & beyond in the respective shows no matter what they commit both women would still love them no matter what the men are just "how can a heart like your love a heart like myn"
That's why I love both ships so muchhhh, it's just my trope! I'm really weak for this kind of relationships in fiction.
What I also love about it is how the men were focused on their goals for a long time but still always had a weak spot for their women. I guess I'm fascinated by deep, everlasting and enduring love, which both ships represent.

Clint: *eating a sandwich watching Steve and Bucky stare at a group of science majors*...so am I going to sit here and watch you both weep at smart people?
Bucky: *jumps stuffing his face with food*
Steve: *hides his sketch book* no!
Clint: *look at Tony and Rhodey arguing about a television show* *stares at them with a deadpan look* look, Sam is part of that nerdy smart circle, I'll tell you now, you two aren't half as charming and good looking as-
Bucky: *shoves him away*
Steve: *trying to stop them from arguing*
Tony: *sees them* see the tall dark haired one, I have zero self preservation and I need a tree to climb
Rhodey: *snorts* we still had mid terms to study
Tony: *throws his hands up* come on, Steve likes you!
Rhodey: we are not triple dating *guides him away chuckling* if they want to date they have to use their big boy words
(IDK!! I wanted Clint being a smug man and taunting the soldiers about their crushes on nerds. For every jock or popular like character there is a nerdy counterpart. Bruce and Thor are clearly one. Some beat those odds. Only some. XD this all in good fun though)

I think a lot of people misinterpret the friends to lovers trope…
It’s not “their friends but they both been secretly in love with each other the entire time” but “they were strangers until they got to know each other and became an important part of each others lives but might become something more”
The whole point of it is that they have good chemistry as friends and the intrigue of that chemistry becoming romantic
At least to me

Yes, you're right, "I'd kill for you – please, ask me to kill for you" is a fun relationship dynamic, but where's the love for the classic attack-dog power dynamic reversal? I'd have thought Tumblr would be all over that one, too. The old "I'll kill for you – and kill, and kill, and kill, if needs be – but first you have to tell me exactly what it is you want. You are not permitted moral distance. Tell me what you need from me and admit your soft hands are just as bloody as mine. Say it. Say it."

I understand the "I will die for you" ship dynamic, but what about the "I will not let you die, I will not let myself die- we will, at any cost, survive" kind of couple?
