Lex kidnapped Wally.
Bruce, holding lex by his collar: where the fuck did you put the Flash, Luther!?
Lex: wow, Batman using harsh language. Tsk, tsk batty, what's the children going to think about that.
Bruce: Lex, I'm not not in the mood we are holding back Wonder woman, his aunt, and the Titans as best as we can to keep your bald ass head still attached to your body. Just tell me where he is before the rest speedsters, my kids, and teen titans catches wind of this. His villains ain't going to like this either...
Lex: aw you really are very protective over your flash, but I ain't going to let him go from a threat.
Bruce: I'm not threatening you I'm literally saving you!?
Lex: ha ha, I'm not falling for it—
Bruce: I'M NOT JOKING —
Dick: where the sunshine of this awful world at Baldie!
Bruce: how did you get back that crowbar!?
Dick: agent A.
Bruce: of course... Nightwing, we can be civil about this, Lex doesn't have to die like the Joker... Original or copy, we still don't know which...
Diana: bat move away from the little man, we just want to talk.
Bruce: that's a lie. Put the sword down now...
Lex, now actually fearing for his life: uh he's in my office eating fruit snacks... Please don't kill me!
Wally: hey Lex, I think you should let me — oh, nvm hey guys! You need to try these fruit snacks wingy, they are shaped in Pokemon!
Bruce, look at Wally the lex: you bribed him to stay with fruits snacks!?
Lex: you'd be surprised what food can do to keep a speedster in your lair!
Leo: at least he's fed.

I’m only asking as a joke, but sure
I see a lot of Yandere home where they lock someone inside.
try that?
OKAY SO LIKE... IDK WHY BUT WHEN I READ THIS IT MADE ME THINK OF THAT ONE GAME... What was it called... THE LAST MONDAY YEAH, THAT'S IT. Idk why but I just thought I'd share because I love that game's dreamcore vibes omg-
Home Locking the Reader up:
TW: Captivity/Isolation/Kidnapping, Manipulation
🏠 So, you would probably be good friends with Wally if you were able to get Home to like you so much. You see, Wally is the main person helping to take care of Home. Others help, sure, but Wally is the main guy. So, if Wally trusts you, Home will, too. Home has had trouble trusting after a few of its past owners' treatment of it.
🏠 Home trusting you is just the first step to the slippery slope of Home deciding to hold you captive. If you want Home to love you enough to do that (which... who would want that...), you need to go out of your way to care for it. You need to do as Wally does, as in, try to find a more accurate way to communicate with it. Onomatopoeia isn't the easiest thing for someone to understand, so you have to find some other form of communication. Wally will happily help, of course! He has been doing so for a while, now! With little success, yes, but it is the thought that counts!
🏠 Home was already thinking of holding Wally hostage. Now that you are also being so kind to it, it will think of keeping you, too. Wally will need a friend, and Home is having a hard time choosing which one of you to keep, so why not both?
🏠 Wally is easy to trick, plus, he lives in Home. You, however, are very smart. It will be much easier to have Wally come and invite you over! With what little communication that the two of them have created, it lets Wally know that it wants you to come over. It'll use an excuse, like only trusting you to help with this or that. Wally's answer, of course, is "Sure, Home! I will go ask them right now!"
🏠 Wally will go an retrieve you, a happy grin on his face, oh so ignorant to what is about to happen. The both of you go to Home, with you helping with whatever task it requested help with. It could be something as big as sweeping the floors to something as small as hanging up a painting Wally made. You have some dinner, before heading to the front door to leave.
🏠 However... as you turn the handle, the door doesn't open. You try again, only to have nothing happen. "Home... Is this a prank? Come on, this isn't funny!" Wally peeks his head in front the dining room, asking "Is something wrong, neighbor?" "The door won't open!"
🏠 Wally walks over, his grin still wide, but his eyes full of panic. He tries to open the door, only to fail, as well. "Home... this isn't funny... Home?" A loud creak resounds through the whole house, before Home's eyes look in at the both of you.
🏠 Both you and Wally look at each other. The last words said between you two that night being "I'm sorry, (Y/N)..." "It's alright, Wally... You didn't know this would happen."

Cw: weird existential crisis type stuff, Wally is creepy and a little unhinged, just generally disturbing stuff, kidnapping (technically) tbh I’m not sure how to describe it sorry, just don’t read If you are easily freaked out!! I don’t wanna make anyone uncomfortable!!!/gen
————
-Ezri (or whatever their real name is) used to be a regular human living in our world
-he got interested in an online restoration of an old show called Welcome Home, finding himself increasingly infatuated with its main character, Wally Darling
-little do they know, while they’re watching him, he’s watching them from the other side of their screens (phones, computers, tvs)
-as they’ve grown to love Wally, Wally has grown to love them as well in his own strange way..
-he (through Home) reaches out and grabs their soul, taking it to put in a new puppet body, named Ezri Astrophel
-the irony of making Ezri’s new body an alien was not lost on Home, who designed said body for them that way on purpose
-after all, Ezri was alien to this world, just not in the way they’d grow to think they were
-see, Ezri has no recollection of being stolen away, they only remember that they “crash landed” on their spaceship in the neighborhood
-but as they spend more time there, they start to piece things together…
-things that don’t add up… how can they be an alien when modern science says we haven’t yet discovered them?? And why does it feel like they’re always being watched…
-eventually they piece it all together and the memory comes flooding back
-by this point in time they and Wally are already in a romantic relationship
-Ezri confronts Wally abt it and he admits to what they accuse him of but they find that they’re not actually unhappy here in this new world
-after all it’s much happier and easier to live here in the neighborhood than in the real world
-after some time apart, Ezri finds that they are actually Okay with being here and grateful to Wally for taking them away
-now they have everything they could ever wish for here and they haven’t felt sad since
-life is good… so long as you don’t look too far below the surface..

hiwo i would Love to hear more about your Very Specific Titans North Team i love them very much
Tumblr media
AH THANK YOU now some hc about them in so specific order:
Herald is the self proclaimed voice of reason except he's internally screaming all the time. Things were so much simpler on his own. Now he's got to keep Wally from teaching Jericho slang while also trying to make sure Red Star doesn't accidentally nuke the kitchen
Kole's entire color pallete is literally the trans flag and Jericho is the single Fruitiest Looking titan in any given room so when they get assigned to the same team she shakes him by the shoulders demanding they be best friends
Kid 👏 Flash 👏 Is 👏 Autistic 👏
They're all trying VERY HARD . Also B list Titans get B list villains. Punk and the hive got bodied at the brotherhood of evil battle and decided harassing titans north would be easier
Hint: it was not and punk still regularly lands on his face
Argents whole demeanor on the working as a team thing is kind of just "I hate you all" (affectionate)
It's a running joke that Private HIVE is the only villain Jericho really instigates and goes full beating on and it's revealed to have been his Cain instinct the whole time
He also beats up punk rocket a lot but that's for other reasons
I could talk about the Punk/Jericho rivalry too but I don't want to ramble
Red 👏 Star 👏 Is 👏 Autistic 👏
I make the rivalry joke abt kydflash a lot but it's rlly that Wally doesn't discern good and bad attention and Kyd sure has some Views™ that blew his little conservative Midwestern mind but he doesn't know how to deal with them
That vine that's like //intense bass boosted music, girl vaping in full leather// Wally: w o w
Wally 👏 Is 👏 Not 👏 A Jock👏
The Kole/Wally/Jericho friendship is a nightmare for everyone involved except them
Herald and Jericho have a cancelling effect on each other's anxiety
Jericho NEVER knows what's going on but he's HAPPY to be here anyway
Red Star ALWAYS knows what's going on and he wishes he didnt
There's a very dramatic episode about Jericho being kidnapped and it splits between the Titans tracking him down and Jericho tied to a chair for a Wilson Family Lunch
This is all very funny until Jericho's Actual Trauma comes up later and it takes a more Wilson Family Therapy turn
Kyd/Wally is a recurring theme with Wally being exposed to someone who doesn't think he should try to dampen his personality for the comfort of others and Kyd being exposed to someone who doesn't think anyone or anything is innately bad or monstrous
Accompanied by Wally being Wally and kyd being this 🤌 close at any given time to tackling him
Compared to Joey and Herald who are very obviously in love in the bg but in the calm non-Wally way
Wally's incident that gave him powers left him with lightning shaped scars on his left eye (which are actually the dual purpose of goggles. He's very hard of seeing in that eye)
Red Star is a direct foil to Joey's previous and toxic relationship to his brother Grant. Which in turn makes Grant take a harder look at his life choices
Red Star mostly just hangs with Jericho bc he doesn't have to talk as much and he prefers Jericho's quiet contentness over Wally and Argent trying to drag him into a scheme to harass Punk Rocket
Jericho teaches him to draw which is nice
A lot of the smaller details have a dual meaning. Wally almost always has purple and red bandaids on and Only purple and red bc Kyds version of apologizing is grumbling and patching him up
Everyone is aware of Wally's crush on kyd, including kyd, but it's mostly harmless and it's not like kyd is trying to take over the world. He's just here to annoy Wally and steal tarot cards

An idea below for a force field
that protects babies and others. One that can be only used by 1-5 fingerprints.
I got this image of a playpen that goes green/blue/yellow (I don’t know the exact color) when needed, protecting the children and adults inside the area. A stroller does the same, not as big, unless you get a lot of strollers in a circle…
Women and children are saved from being kidnapped/killed by the force fields. They can be tampered with because of the wheels on the strollers but it gives the families enough time to get to them. That is then fixed.
The cribs also have the same design, it’s a disc that can be moved, and I had a thought of a mother protecting her baby and 14/15 year old sister/sister-in-law from intruders/her sister’s‘ future husband’s family’ by putting the crib down, it’s one that can be made into a bed, and pushing the 14/15 girl I n with the baby and making herself the distraction. Her younger brother/brother-in-law goes for help but it’s to late for the woman but the baby and 14/15 year old are saved.
Gaza, Afghanistan, Israel, the Middle East, Africa, etc, anyone who has children under five and can’t afford it (it’s proven or you live in a war torn region) are given the technology free. Everyone else pays.
All of this has been in my head but it really came forward when I was thinking of Tim having a half brother and meeting Wally’s/Jason’s sister (she’s Jason’s half sister given to the West’s, Catherine’s brother, to raise but then somehow she gets involved with Tim’s half brother.) who is divorcing him, abuse and etc, and is pregnant (she had a choice, have the baby/babies and have a better chance at being able to have children later on or have an abortion and no choice at having any children) (I don’t know if that can happen but here it can) and Damian and Duke come up with the idea.
Queen Industries, Wayne Enterprises, and Luther Corporation (I think that’s the companies names) build it together which is why it’s not that expensive. They would have done their own baby line but Jasmine (my OC) suggested the disc since it be easier to carry if people needed to get away.
It’s military proof as much as they could get it. Bombs were the only things not tried but the world finds out that the force field does protect a little bit when a desperate mother put it to use against a bomber that was trying to kill people. They got hurt but not as bad as they could have been. It’s then made better.
So?

Can u do some headcanons for Conner Kent (DC comics) where his s/o has scarlet witch powers???
Yess, thank ya babe <3 I'm in love with your idea and hope you'll like it.
------------ zz ------------
KON-EL DATING A READER WITH SAME POWERS AS SCARLET WITCH HEADCANON
Warnings: Basic violence and mentions of sex. Pairing: Conner Kent (DC Comics) x You. Word count: 609 Caption: 💜
MASTERLIST // REQUESTS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, this headcanon really took me a while because the idea was brilliant.
You probably met at Young Justice;
as we all know, Batman is not the best at dealing with people who have super powers, so the most skilled person to help you without a second thought is Diana, our dear Wonder Woman;
you had a relatively difficult childhood living on the streets with these super weird purple powers, causing your mentor to take you to Themyscira;
the island is really really cool;
Amazons are badass who taught you to have that confident way, besides showing you how to contain your powers and use them for good;
Coming back… with Robin, Kid Flash and Superboy starting the youth group of heroes, she saw an incredible opportunity to fit her Wonder Girl and you as Obscura, a hero in training so that in a few months she would join the Justice League;
I'd say you first appeared to young people when Wally accidentally activated Red Tornado;
with the two of you getting to know each other little by little, it was quite common for the boy at first to just flirt non-stop;
thxs Amazons for teaching not to fall into men's temptation;
he was quite frustrated that his attempts failed;
Little did the baby badboy know that you just didn't fall for the kid's lip because he underestimated you, dammit, you were the most powerful member of that team and he in the middle of a fight just said to stay on the bench so you don't get hurt...
he didn't do it because he wanted to, he just activated the boy's protective mode to see you get hit by someone;
after months of frustration, Dick would feel sorry for his friend and try to talk to you;
Boy Wonder is really genius, he managed to put a couple together, like… wtf Richard?
anyway… after you guys got together, I think he would never stop trying to protect you;
but he would also stare in awe, because his girl was a fucking badass;
couple labeled bad bitch and bad boy;
outside YJ you guys would have a lot of make out sessions because he doesn't really hold back (especially when you use his powers);
Kon would think dirty things just to make you blush with telepathy;
you would think even dirtier things and transmit everything in images to his mind…
poor kid who would get turned on quickly - getting giggles from Wally and Dick;
"Princess, don't make me punish you later"
oh, he did punish…
Getting back to the main point… Conner would actually live with one hand on his waist;
jealous beans;
he doesn't usually go with a lot of pda in front of others unless you want to;
movie Saturday nights between the two of you, with popcorn and lots of cuddling;
the boy would always ask you to use your powers at home, just because he would love to see his girlfriend in action;
and also because it is much easier for you to telekinesis a glass of water than for it to run;
the most powerful couple;
no one really messes with you two because you always have each other's backs;
once a villain tried to kidnap Kon with a serum very similar to kryptonite…
let's say the guy was almost presumed dead and Batman didn't even get to judge her, because he would do something like that if you were Richard in Conner's place;
anyway, the two of you really have a unique connection;
as much as they fight at times, both love each other and intend to have a future together.

Hey Vic and Donna??? Wally's been cleared. He didn't kill Roy. It's not 'far more complex than the news outlets have let on' it's 'yeah actually another evil speedster killed Roy and framed Wally'. It's pretty simple actually??? Maybe stop distancing yourself from him because that's really messed up.
Tumblr media
IN FRONT OF HIS FUCKING CHILDREN?!?
See this is why saying 'yeah, no, he was falsely accused' is way easier because then people don't scream and accuse him of kidnapping his children.
Tumblr media
Hey Donna??? Chill. I love you but calm tf down.
Also two things... Is this impling that Raven's super creepy mind control love spell is still on Wally??? That's insanely creepy Raven?? (For context, Wally never wanted to join the New Teen Titans because he wanted to go to university. Raven put a love spell on him that made Wally obsessed with her so that he'd join the team instead of going to university. Wally's 'crush' on Raven was entirely mind control, so having him get tongue tied and forget his wife's name here is SUS AS HELL RAVEN)
And second, I love that Wally immediately goes "Hey guys! Great to see you! Where's Dick!" Give him his best friend DC. They haven't seen each other since before the Ric fiasco and HiC. Let them have a reunion.

cont. from [x] with @speedsterredhead
“Kids are usually easier to get what you want during negotiation. And I’d say that the Justice League is even more hazardous to one’s health than Batman.” Superman, Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman was just three of them, none that you wanted to pick a fight with. “Plus I’m human, I’m easier to handle than Hermes here.” Not to mention that Wally could get reinforcement here much quicker than he could.
When he whispered to him, Tim almost wanted to roll his eyes. It seemed like Wally was forgetting who he was underneath the mask. “So have I.” Being the son of one of the richest men in Gotham, and now the adoptive son of one of the world richest men, Tim had been kidnapped so many times he began to feel antsy if too much time went between the kidnappings.

[[Admittedly biased to your smaller fandom work but it’s either the KND scene where Abby does the “from here down, it’s all fake” reveal or the Detentionaire scene while the outcasts were being kidnapped!]]
She turned to give him a deadpan look. "Honestly, if it were up to Numbuh 5, I'd have ya sent home, but all I can do is try and convince you."
He stood, cradling himself on the rungs of the stool to hover at her height. Wally doesn't quite realize that tears are bubbling up. "And do what? Hold Joey and 'ave him freak out when he notices I ain't got the right parts? He'd feel it; what baby wouldn't? Listen ta' mom and dad laugh and joke while I gotta cruddy robot arm meltin' inta my shoulder?"
"It ain't easy." Numbuh 5 agrees. "But is it any easier here?"
He froze, then slowly slid back into his seat. He moved like an old man. "Least ya' get me. Least I don't have ta' lie."
"You took an oath, Numbuh 4." Abby's voice is gentle and sympathetic, but also firm. "It's what you swore you'd do. Our childhood ain't our's. It never was. We gave it up to fight evil, and they took it without even a second glance. It's like sellin' your soul- once it's gone you don't get it back."
"Abby?"
"Huh?"
"You've lost somethin', haven't you?"
"Baby, I've lost a little of everything. Just lookit my track record."
"I meant- ah, you know what I mean!"
Numbuh 5 is quiet. He can't see her eyes from under her hat, but he doesn't doubt she's staring at him with years of painful experiences. Finally, she pulls his hand up by the wrist, pressing the fingers into her side, right about the waist.
"From here down." She whispers, swallowing. Wally's fingers flinch. "It's all fake."
(Crud, 2016)
Tumblr media
Oh, man, this baby is still one of my favorites! I know the writing hasn't aged the best, but the concept behind it, the delivery... probably one of my best KND bits tbh. I had a long list of angsty headcanons that I drew forth for the fic itself, including what each scar was- Kuki broke her spine ejecting from bunny the first time, Hoagie lost his ear from a shootout while he was overdosed on chocolate (hence why he quit), Nigel's time with the Delightfuls. Abby's in particular was from a school about to be blown up from some sort of bomb, and she was pushing some kids out the doors and got caught up halfway. The whole thing was done on-scene and was very traumatic.
As for the Detentionaire 'fic- I kind of resent it? Because I had, like, this whole giant story planned of the outcasts trying to seize popularity via school elections post the finale, with a story about Cam getting kicked out for being bi and rooming with The Serpent and a race against the clock to stop Lee's weird bro from doing smth stupid. I was gonna add some steampunk body parts too. So while I like the oneshot, it feels like a taster for a dish I kinda threw out. I still have the notes I'd written out for it somewhere, too. And while I could rewatch and make it happen, lbr, it's just one show on a LONG list of stuff I need to rewatch, so it's gonna take a long ass time.

Polyblank’s “death” (2/3)
Polyblank’s POV
Peace. That was all he felt when he lost consciousness. He didn’t feel pain, he didn’t feel dread. In fact, he felt... happy. Relieved. He got the files, so he completed the mission, at least. In just a few minutes, he will arrive back at Darlington Station and the Director will give him another objective to complete. He didn’t get to see everything in the corporate building. He was in just such a hurry. Oh well, I’m sure the next mission will be much easier. Who knows, maybe he’ll go to the Kai Tak Resort again. Maybe this time, he won’t need to dress up as a girl.
He began to feel a floating sensation. It felt like he was being lifted up by something. He looked around, but there was no one carrying him upwards. No strings attached to him or anything. His positive emotions turned into confusion. What...? What is this...? It was supposed to be a simulation. What was happening? Is the Missionyl still in effect for him? If it was, it was beginning to feel too real.
Suddenly, he heard someone playing a piano from somewhere. He would call it a peaceful melody, but a few of the keys were broken, giving it a touch of dread. What the hell? What is going on? Polyblank was really confused right now. Is this still a simulation? Where was he? Why isn’t he back at Darlington?!
“C’mon, Poly, stay with me. You will not die on me, alright?”
That voice... Ed?
He was suddenly outside the Tokyo corporate building. He could see two men carrying a stretcher with a familiar person laying on it. Beside the stretcher was another familiar man, having an uncharacteristic look of fear on his face.
Wait a minute. That’s Polyblank in the stretcher. That’s the Editor beside him. And that’s two of his henchmen.
His mind now had a sense of clarity. This isn’t a simulation. This is real. He’s actually dead. At that moment, a calming voice began to sing.
Ah, that’s it. It all came to this. He died doing his retrieval mission and his nemesis was over his body, worrying his fancy suit off. Though, he was still confused. Why was the Editor begging him to stay with him? He was supposed to be an antagonist for the Syndicate. A cold, heartless kidnapper and murderer. He was the one who kidnapped the Director in the first place! He had no idea why the playboy would be worrying about him at all.
A warm hand was placed on his shoulder. “It’s time to go, Polyblank. It’s time for you to rest.”
He nodded and closed his eyes. The feeling of being pulled up was felt again. He started to walk up a long staircase. He could see a bright light in the distance. If he could just reach that light, everything will be okay.
“Don’t be afraid, Polyblank. Nothing will hurt you anymore. You’re safe.”
Nothing will hurt me anymore...
His life began to flash before his eyes. Some of them are standard memories of his childhood, his earlier missions, and him getting to know the Director. But his most recent ones were of the Editor.
They played golf, gravy boat racing, even some VR tennis. While Ed proved to be quite a cheater at the first game, Poly couldn’t help but think he at least had a bit of fun. Especially when he had the chance to inflate his ego just enough for him to literally pop him like a balloon.
Even though he should be feeling nothing for this man, he couldn’t help but feel sad. Here he was in one of the memories, introducing himself to Polyblank. The way he spoke just felt right to him. The line “I swear, I’d marry you if I wasn’t such a playboy.” was enough to make his heart flutter. He knew nothing about this man. Well, he knew him enough to know that he was an antagonist, but he shouldn’t be feeling infatuated with him. No, it wasn’t that. It was love.
Unconditional love. It took him an entire pufferfish to realize that he loved him. He loved this dastardly young man who kidnaps and murders people for fun. Well, that and he makes potpourri, but still. The way he looked at him, the way he smiled at him, even the way he talked to him felt... strangely right.
He suddenly felt apprehensive. He was almost at the border. He had a decision to make. Should he step in or should he go back?
Eddy...
The Editor’s P.O.V.
“Poly! Goddammit, Polyblank, open your eyes!!” The Editor shouted at him as the goons wheeled him to the medical room. The nurses began tending to the spy as the henchmen started to pull him out of the room. They hooked him up to some devices, one of them a heart monitor. Polyblank had already went through decontamination so the only thing the nurses had to worry about were his vital signs. And by the looks of it, they were not good.
His heart rate and breathing were slow. Almost 20 minutes had passed since the toxin had been in Polyblank’s body. They need to act fast or else...
The Editor felt himself start to shake, not with fear, but with anger. Who... Who do they think they are? They think they would just surprise attack Poly with fugu fish?! Whoever they are, they are dead! If he dies, he will kill them!
“Sir, calm down. Nothing will be gained by you losing your cool.” The henchman by the name of James said.
“Oh, I am keeping my cool. I’m just thinking of ways to murder whoever did this to Poly!”
“Look, can we just step out and try to-” The other henchman by the name of Wally started to talk before the Editor snapped his icy glare at him.
“Listen here, I don’t have time to be standing around talking to you idiots! Instead of that, why don’t you go and track down whoever tried to kill Poly?! If you can’t do that and Polyblank dies, I will go to hell and back to make sure they pay! Now, I won’t tell you this again. Go track down whoever tried to do this to my nemesis, you understand?” His usual aloofness was gone, replaced only with an anger that can only be described as terrifying. The two henchmen both nodded and ran out of the room.
At that moment, a rapid beeping started emitting from the monitor as Polyblank’s heart rhythm began to change. The nurses immediately prepared to shock him. Ed could only stand in horror as they tried to revive his rival. This... This isn’t right... There is no way... There is no way he’s dying here. He went through more dangerous stuff before. Well, okay, this is dangerous, but-
*Beeeeeeeeeeeeep*
“..........No........”
The nurse looked somberly at the Editor. “I’m so sorry...”
“No... No, no, no, NO!” He scrambled over to Polyblank’s bed. “No, you will not die on me! Do you hear me, you bastard?!” He started doing chest pumps. He did not know what he was doing, but he was not going to lose him.
The nurse tried to pull him off, but he pushed her away. He glanced over at the monitor and saw he was flatlining. Okay, what do you do if someone’s flatlining? Whatever the Editor was doing is something you should do. You shouldn’t shock them when their heart’s not beating- Ah-hah!
The Editor swiped the bottle of adrenaline and a syringe that was sitting on the table and filled it up. He hoped it was the right dose. He jabbed it into Polyblank’s chest right where his heart is. He killed enough people to know where the heart is. He continued to pump his chest until the monitor detected something. Poly’s heart finally started beating.
Ed sighed and stepped back. He’s okay... He’ll be okay... Thank god...
The nurse led him out of the room as the others began to tend to him again. Polyblank may be alive now, but he is still not out of the woods yet. He still had to get his stomach pumped and monitored until the toxin’s completely out of his system. Until then, it was just a waiting game to see if he pulls through.
In the mean time, Ed is planning on having a little visit with this red-haired fiend.

zukka hp au part 6
Thank you so much, everyone! I hope you continue to enjoy this au. I had a few minutes last night, so I wrote up a couple scenes for all of you.
I haven’t written anything in so long though, so I’m sorry about the quality. Also, if someone is OOC, I’m sorry, I really tried. I need to rewatch atla at this rate. But feedback is always appreciated! I’m tagging anyone currently on the tag list, but if you missed it or just saw it, please let me know on the tag list post and I’ll add you in for future posts. (If you’d like me to reblog and tag you on this one, that’s also an option, but please comment or DM me so I know exactly who would like that.)
Also, if you couldn’t tell, I have no idea what I’m doing. So if I left someone off the tag list by accident or put it in a weird spot, I’m sorry! It’s possibly because I had to google how to make one yesterday XD But if I missed you, please tell me! I swear it wasn’t intentional. If you have any other suggestions or questions, let me know!
If you’d like to catch up:
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5 part 6 part 7 part 8 part 9 part 10 part 11 part 12 part 13
If you would like to join the tag list
And with that, hope you enjoy :)

There’s a suspicious bump.
The minister really does not like suspicious bumps.
But working in the Ministry of Magic for as long as he has, eventually he stopped jumping at every single one. He calls that progress. His wife says he’s finally lost whatever survival instincts he used to possess.
The minister doesn’t care overly much though. Today’s a happy day! The Avatar defeated Lord Sozin! He should be drafting congratulatory letters for the poor kid. Speaking of the child, he needs to find out where they are. And also who they are. There’s an astounding lack of information on this baby.
There’s a suspicious fwoosh and two masked wizards stand before him.
The minister is a calm and collected man. So, of course, he screams.
“None of that now,” says the older man with absolutely wild grey hair. “Stop screaming, Minister. We’re not here to hurt you.”
The minister wasn’t born yesterday, and his mother has reliably informed him that he isn’t a complete imbecile. He continues screaming.
The other intruder nudges the other and sighs. “You’re scaring him.”
“No, really?” Lunatic One groans. “I didn’t notice over all the screaming. Silencio. Honestly, he supposedly went toe to toe with Sozin in the Wizengamot for years. You’d think he’d have more guts than this.”
The nicer interloper (but still Lunatic Two) sighs again. “One who knows when to retreat will live longer than those who stay to fight past their abilities.”
“No, no, nope, we are not having your little philosophical riddles today. They just make my head hurt. You’re only here to make sure I don’t get bored and decide I want to wear his spine as a necklace.”
The minister’s eyes must pop out of his skull a bit.
“Just get to the point, my friend, so we can let this nice man enjoy his evening.”
“Nice man? He’s a politician. They’re all crackpots,” necklace man says.
The minister privately wonders why his friend bothers to sigh again when he clearly isn’t surprised.
“You’re a politician, too.”
“Yes,” the crazy one replies sagely. “I’m a crackpot. It means I wear the stench of insanity with pride and can identify it elsewhere.”
“Anyway,” the same man continues, but this time clearly directed towards the minister. “Simple request. Don’t look for the Avatar. No, no, no, I see you shaking your head at me. Just don’t look for them, or I’ll be back for my new bony accessories.”
His calmer friend looks the minister in the eyes. “We will keep the Avatar safe. But if Sozin’s followers find out where the child is, they’ll be dead before their next birthday. Do you understand, Minister?”
The minister likes to think he’s good at reading the room, so he nods a bit frantically. With them taking care of the child, that’s one less thing for him to worry about. And he gets to keep his spine. He’s rather partial to it now that he thinks about it. Anyway, it’s a win for everyone.
“Excellent.”
And then the two men are gone.
Hurray for delegating responsibilities.
Today was enitrely too exciting for his delicate sensibilites. The minister pulls out the biggest bottle of Firewhiskey he owns and Floos home. Maybe he’ll get that takeout his wife likes today. She always deserves nice things, but especially today in exchange for all the blubbering he’s about to do.
oOo
“Did you really have to scare him so thoroughly, Headmaster?” Iroh asks once they’re safely back in the Headmaster’s office.
Headmaster Bumi throws his head back and laughs. “Fear is healthy! It keeps the blood pumping. The masks just added to the overall effect. And it’s not like I’d actually follow through. He just needs some character building. But at least that’s done. The kid’s with a friend of mine tonight. You’ll take the child to the orphanage tomorrow then?”
Iroh nods. “We’ll check in on him sometimes?”
“Of course,” Bumi says, looking scandalized. “What do you take me for? If he isn’t being treated well, prophecy or no prophecy, I’ll raise him myself. We don’t tolerate child abuse in this house.”
Iroh is extremely alarmed by the idea of Bumi raising any child, let alone the Avatar. But he is relieved they’re on the same page. At least now he doesn’t have to plan a kidnapping. Finally, after a long, but successful, night, Iroh leans back and enjoys his freshly brewed tea in peace.
Bumi’s chewing breaks the comfortable silence.
“Want a biscuit? They’re lemon poppy seed.”
Moderate peace then, but he thanks the Headmaster and enjoys his biscuit.

September 1, 1990
Sokka kind of assumes that he’ll be extremely bored during his first year of Hogwarts. He isn’t friends with anyone in his year yet, and Katara is a year younger.
Out of the limited number of other wizarding families he’s met, he hasn’t gotten along with many of the other kids. They were all either too dull, too old, or too annoying.
So Sokka has to admit he didn’t see this coming.
The boy in front of him is cool.
He’s already changed into pressed black Hogwarts robes with a red tie, so Sokka assumes the boy is maybe a second year Gryffindor. His black hair is neatly pulled out of his face, and there’s just a hint of the hair piece holding it up. Sokka’s busy staring at the rings on the boy’s fingers, a clear sign of an elemental magic user. But he’s too far away to figure out which element.
Sokka doesn’t really care though. People are people. It can’t hurt to ask if he can sit there.
So he screws up his courage and opens the door to the train compartment.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
Sokka blinks. This boy isn’t very friendly, but he presses on.
“Everywhere else is full,” he says, lying through his teeth. “Mind if I join you?”
Five full compartments can be rounded up to all of them. Sokka’s a man of science. He would know.
The boy doesn’t answer for a beat, looking him up and down. Then he sneers. “Wolf’s tail, all that blue? You must be another Water Tribe peasant.”
Sokka can feel the blood rushing in his ears. Of all the compartments he had to walk into, it had to be a Fire Nation one.
“And you must be half troll with manners like that,” he bites out, before slamming the compartment door shut and walking away.
That was terrible. But it’s too late to go back and properly insult the other boy, so Sokka angrily walks away.
oOo
That’s all for now!
A few more things:
I’m trying to make my life easier with dates for this au, so Halloween 1981 is when Sozin tried to kill the Avatar. Aang’s birthday is just going to be so late in the year that he got bumped to the year below. So we’re going based on Sokka’s years in school, first year starting in 1990. If something I’m doing doesn’t make sense or I’m completely contraindicating something, please ask! There’s a really good chance I’ve missed something.
Also, any and all commentary or jokes made by characters about being insane and so on will not extend to actually poking fun at a character’s mental health. If they’ve got an issue that’s bothering them, that’s that. In this case, I think random people appearing in your office would scare you. And Bumi just sounds like someone who assumes everyone is as sane as he is.
Lastly, say hello to one of the few straight characters we have. The minister was just a fun OC I made up, so I don’t have any corresponding atla character in mind for him. I was going to give him a name, but it just felt better having him be this random competent leader with a badass wife.

Quick! rate your Sams by how good they are at childcare go!
Mainverse (before being exposed to Joey) - 8/10 He’s a twenty something aspiring musician, not an expert in child care. So naturally he’ll make a few mistakes, but he’s sweet, he listens to his charges, and he takes his newfound responsibility very seriously. Like all Sammies on this list (sans the one below), he is an absolute master at bedtime stories and lullabies.
Mainverse (Post Joey exposure) - 1/10 Do not let your child near this angry drunk. The best case scenario is that he’s a terrible influence.
Mainverse (during the studio) - 9/10 It’s sad for him to see little lambs pop up in the studio already succumbed to the ink by the time he eventually finds them, but at least he can keep them safe among his flock so that they don’t have to cry themselves to sleep alone inside the little miracle stations anymore.
Post studio AU - 9/10 (Assuming he didn’t kidnap children while he was on the lam) The differences between how he cares for children while in the studio and how he cares for them outside the studio all basically boil down to he has more resources to properly take care of them now.
Sheepdog Sammy AU - 9.5/10 This is basically Sammy but a Boris. So for the lambs in the flock he protects, he’s both a good guard dog and a good therapy dog.
ATDT AU Sampson - 7.5/10 He’ll fight tooth and nail to keep the kids who stumbled into the studio alive and out of the ink’s grasp. But if someone dumps kids into his care unprompted and just wants him to ‘deal with it’, you bet your ass he’s going to teach those kids every swear word in the book, every single annoying song he can think of, and spoil them absolutely rotten out of sheer spite.
ATDT AU Samuel - 8/10 A good voice of reason to tell your problems to and a good shoulder to cry on. Lives to serve and might unintentionally spoil the kid at points, but he’s not spineless and when he gets strict, he gets scary.
That one fic where I rewrote DCTL Sammy’s introduction - 6/10 In spite of his creepy and harsh demeanor and the unflattering rumors around him, he does mean well as is just trying to get Buddy out of a bad situation the only way he knows how: Intimidation. Too bad any and all good intentions he has can and will be corrupted by the ink.
Joey Drew in Dreams Come True AU - 4.5/10 When it comes to children he’s more of a fun uncle that you only see on Christmas and other special occasions type, but not a proper parental figure. Why is he ranked so low if the problem is he’s ‘too fun’? He’s a living cartoon and unintentionally puts them in cartoonish amounts of life-threatening danger.
Monster AU (pre meeting Joey) - depends on the species. Human child? 0/10 he will eat them, human children are a rare delicacy that he will happily indulge in if given the opportunity. Bird monster child? 10/10 feeds his little chicks the best meats he can hunt down, keeps them warm and safe, and throws them of the very best cliff he can throw them off of to make sure they develop excellent flying skills! Other type of monster child? 50-50 shot of either getting eaten or thrown off a cliff at some point.
Monster AU (Post getting humanity and humility beaten into him by Joey) - 10/10 He takes care of a pack of werewolves every month and children are much, MUCH easier to handle than a pack of werewolves. The kids greatly prefer his bird monster form to his human one as they can fly on his back when he’s a giant bird. Although Wally panics at the mere thought of letting one of his own kiddos onto Sammy’s back. He knows ravens do that ‘flip’ thing when they fly!

Cisco's reaction to learning about the mirrorverse just solidified a notion I've had for a while now, which is that Cisco is the type of person who needs--or at least thinks he needs--to have a leader to look up to. I don't mean that in a "he can't think for himself/make his own decisions" or a "he's not leader material" way--far from it, actually. It's not about what he is or is not capable of, but rather what he is and isn't comfortable with.
I think it's partially due to a lack of confidence, and partially due to him just being used to having to follow someone else's lead. He's the youngest in his family, for starters, which automatically makes him more receptive to being told what to do, because that's just a part of life for younger siblings. And then when he started his job at S.T.A.R. Labs, he had Dr. Wells, Ronnie, and Hartley all working above him in some type of leadership position. Then along comes Barry with his newfound powers and the desire to be a superhero, and Cisco is just as thrilled as he can be to be Barry's behind-the-scenes sidekick, and it takes him a while to actually realize that Barry sees him as an equal and not as an underling.
So even though Barry tells Cisco that everyone will look to him while he’s stuck in the speed force, in all the time that Barry's gone, Cisco is perfectly content with letting Iris take up the role of team leader. That validation from Barry was just enough to give him the confidence to go behind Iris’s back to bring Barry home, but after that, Cisco resumes answering to Iris. Like when Barry and Caitlin got kidnapped at the same time; he relied on her to tell him which one of them to focus on saving, because he was afraid of making the wrong decision (and having already been forced to choose between Barry and Dante before, that’s not a position he was eager to be in again).
Then, in season 6, Barry chooses Cisco to lead the team post-Crisis, and all throughout that arc, Cisco struggles to make decisions for himself because he can't stand the pressure of what could go wrong if he makes the wrong one. But there are two moments in this arc that stand out as moments where he was a great leader, and that was when he realized there was no one else to do the job. The first was when Frost had a panic attack while Barry was fighting Bloodwork's virus, and the second was when the other Flash stole Barry's speed, and he had to make a choice between letting the other Flash sacrifice himself, or stopping him and risking the safety of the rest of the world in the process. Cisco really does not like being in charge, because he knows he’s going to second guess the hell out of any important decision he has to make, but damned if he’s gonna let that stop him from taking charge when others need him.
There are several other moments scattered throughout the series where Cisco steps up because the need to get something done is more pressing than the fear of making the wrong decision, or his instinct to wait until he's been instructed what to do. I think that's part of the reason why his powers don't get as much use as the others' (that, and the fact that he was more powerful than the writers knew what to do with), because while the rest of the metas on the team are out saving civilians on the daily (which, granted, Cisco has done, too), Cisco's powers are more often than not used to save other heroes. He lets Barry, Ralph, Frost, Wally, and even Iris when she had superspeed, be the ones who get to save the day, but when things don't go as planned and they end up in danger, Cisco swoops in just in time to save them.
So with all that being said, I think a big part of Cisco's frustration with Barry in the beginning of 6x18 is with not having someone to tell him what to do to get Kamilla and the others back. He's just had a major bomb dropped on him, and he's at a loss for a solution. So when the man who usually has a plan to save the day seems to have a passive attitude toward their problem (which is really just him feeling as hopeless as Cisco and trying to hold it together), it's more than he can handle. Because now no one has a plan for what to do, and if someone doesn't give him a reason to believe everything will be okay, he's going to be swallowed by his fear of losing someone he loves and there not being anything he can do to stop it--and after having recently lost Cynthia and Harry, no less. It’s Cecile’s interjecting when she did that stopped him from spiraling any further, and enabled him to change tracks and start thinking of a way to get to Kamilla, Iris, and Singh, instead of worrying that they could already be dead.
ETA: I started writing this right after seeing the 6x18 sneak peek. Now having seen the rest of the episode and thus his meltdown with Cecile, I feel this even more, and would like to add that Vibe is like a lifehack around this mindset that he has. He talks about Vibe almost like Caitlin talks about Frost, like he’s a different person, or a side of himself that he can’t access without his powers, and what he doesn’t seem to realize is that his powers aren’t what made him a hero. Vibe is just a nickname; the hero is and always has been Cisco, with or without his powers or his suit and gear, he is always the same person. His meta alias isn’t a different personality, it’s just a mask he hides behind, in part to protect his identity from villains, but also because really looking at his life and seeing himself the way his friends see him scares the hell out of him, because he doesn’t know how to recognize his own value as a person when it’s so ingrained in his mind to be his own worst critic. It’s easier to give the credit for his accomplishments to a conceptualized version of himself, than it is to overcome years of being diminished by his family, hated by his peers, and then used and betrayed by the first authority figure in his life to appreciate and validate his worth. It’s easier to separate his strengths from himself than it is to give himself permission to realize that despite everything in his life working against him, he’s actually amazing, and he can and has done great things on his own, and everyone who ever shot him down has been wrong the whole time.

Profile | The Summer Court
Tumblr media
SUMMARY The Summer Court is where our allegiance lies, however shaky. We’ve agreed to serve the Summer Crown and complete a task for them in exchange for fame. It would be easier if the King we swore fealty to hadn’t been kidnapped. Cass is currently Queen.
THE FAIRCHILD-REXS  Merowech (MIA), Oberon (MIA), Eliora (Desceased), Cass (Queen), Mack, and Max.
THE COURT
This seems like the Party Court. We’re invited to a lot of parties here.
Sexy red and black aesthetic. Roses and thorns.
Mainly made up of Unseelie Fae.
STORY NOTES
Oberon has been generally amused with us, until he disappeared.
Merowech was the royal advisor. He’s a powerful sorcerer.
Oberon did genocide on the demons at his father’s demand.
Adonis, Oberon’s late father, did A Lot More Genocide before that.
Rest in Pieces Fuckwad
Titania is Oberon’s ex wife, and Merowech’s sister in law.
Merowech’s wife passed away when the children were young.
Circe is Oberon and Merowech’s younger sister.
Oberon, Merowech, and Cass got kidnapped.
Max became temporary king, with Wilson advising.
Cass was replaced with a doppelganger and crawled her way out of hell back to us, missing an eye, and is now Queen.
It sounds like Cass and Titania are at each others’ throats.
INTERPERSONAL NOTES
Sadie currently has Oberon’s sword, Arthur.
Merowech is Mack’s asshole dad who kidnapped and terrorized him.
Cass is dating Wilson, Wally’s ‘brother’
Cass is hiding Cosmo from Everyone, including her dad.

25 Days of Westallen Fanfiction: Day 5 - Fateful Kiss [1/?]
A/N: Based off the past WA scene Nora spied on in 5x08. This is set in pre-FP era b/c I don’t want to deal w/ the effects of FP. This is sort of a canon divergent take on that scene and will turn into a multi-chap that I will hopefully finish within the month. Hopefully you enjoy.
*Many thanks to @valeriemperez for beta’ing.
...
Chapter 1 -
Everyone dispersed from the room pretty quickly. Joe left with Wally. Cisco likely retreated to his workshop, devastated over Caitlin’s unexpected kidnapping. Harry left, blaming them all for this turn of events. Despite being aware of the direction everyone had gone, Iris’ eyes stayed glued to Barry. When he rushed into the hall, overwhelmed by what had just happened, there was no question that she would follow him.
She found his face pressed to the wall as he fought to stay standing and quietly slid in next to him.
“Barry,” she said softly, greeted with nothing but his heavy breathing. She placed her hand on him in a hopefully comforting gesture. “You can’t let your losses stop you. You’re the one who taught me that.”
He turned around, not facing her but not leaving her side either.
“You have to keep moving, you have to…push through. You have to find a way. You have to fight.”
He sank down the wall, no doubt trying to listen to her words, trying to see a path through the failure.
Iris went down on her knees beside him, resting her hand on his back, reassuring as always, gentle in her determination to keep him from falling apart.
“So that nothing will ever hold you back, Barry.” She paused. “Zoom took Caitlin, and I know you lost your speed, but…everyone is here to help.” Barry nodded, and she felt a minor victory. “My dad, Cisco, Harry…” She held her breath, wondering if she should insert one more name. Wondering if she should put herself out there, given how she felt about him. Even if he assumed she only meant friendship.
Resolved to accept whatever it might bring, she gripped his arm to bring his full attention to her.
“Me.”
He turned to look at her, finally meeting her gaze, seeing the concern there and letting it wash over him. She felt relief, and she knew he was feeling it too.
She also registered how he wasn’t looking away, and how she wasn’t looking away. Unable to stop herself, her eyes dropped to his lips. When she looked back up into his eyes, she saw some confusion there, like he thought he’d seen something that wasn’t real, and she couldn’t stop herself.
She leaned forward and kissed him.
It was a single kiss, meant to satisfy her urge, meant to be addressed later. He responded by kissing back, but only slightly, maybe only on instinct. When she pulled back, she saw more confusion in his eyes. He didn’t know what was happening, and he didn’t know what it meant. She didn’t blame him. She hardly knew herself.
She should’ve stopped then. She should’ve brushed it off as something, she didn’t know what. Maybe she should’ve just ignored it, laid her head on his shoulder, gripped his hand as a comfort and just pretended it didn’t happen.
But she didn’t do any of those things.
Instead, she reached out and sank her fingers into his hair, sweaty, plastered to his skin, but she didn’t care. She watched how her fingers disappeared into the brown locks, and then she leaned forward and kissed him again.
This time he responded more. He turned towards her fully when her other hand cupped his face and started pulling him to her. Iris could hardly get a hold of herself until he was falling out of his perched squat and nearly on top of her. The jolt caused them both to break apart.
“W-Wait, Iris.”
He was breathing heavily, and she waited for him to right himself. Whatever he wanted to call this, she would let him. He deserved it after the night he had. He’d saved her brother and lost a friend, his speed, and any hope of protecting the city from Zoom. If he didn’t want to deal with what had just transpired in this moment, then-
“I can’t go home,” he said, interrupting her thoughts.
Her brows furrowed.
“I can’t go home to Joe, to Wally. Wally doesn’t know I’m the Flash. And I can’t…he won’t understand. He won’t-”
“Hey, hey, it’s okay,” she said, rubbing his arm soothingly. “You don’t have to.”
He sighed, relieved, but the dilemma of where he would stay crossed his features. Harry was going to be at STAR Labs, and he was pissed. Cisco was devastated over the loss of Caitlin. That only left…
“You can come home with me.”
His brows furrowed. “Iris-”
“Not for that,” she said. “Not unless you-” She shook her head and met his eyes again, determination at the forefront. “If you want someplace safe to stay, where you don’t have to worry about answering questions you don’t want to or… If you just want to get some sleep. I have room.” She gripped his arm again, squeezing gently. “Come home with me.”
Barry debated for a couple seconds, maybe more, and then nodded.
“Okay.”
When Iris opened the door to her single room apartment and Barry spotted the loveseat couch, he felt a fight rise up in him.
“Iris, maybe I shouldn’t-”
She spun around to face him. “What? Why?”
He gestured to the couch. “There’s no way I can-”
She relaxed. “Oh, don’t worry about that. I’m taking the couch.”
“Iris, no, I’ll just-”
“You’ll stay here and sleep in my bed is what you’ll do.”
“Iris.”
“I fit perfectly on that couch, Barry, and my bed is long enough to fit you on it.” She looked away briefly at the implications of that. “It’s fine. I insist you use it.”
Not wanting to argue the point, Barry nodded.
Iris smiled. “Let me just grab some blankets and a pillow, then you can get to sleep.”
He heaved a heavy sigh but didn’t try to stop her. Within minutes she was changed into cozy pajamas and had situation herself on the couch. He still stood there looking helpless, so she got up and hugged him tightly. It didn’t matter that he didn’t really hug her back.
She tipped her chin up to look at him.
“Get some sleep, Barry. We’ll figure everything else out in the morning.”
He nodded again and untangled himself from her. Then he went down the short hall to her bedroom and closed the door behind him.
Iris hadn’t lied when she said the couch fit her perfectly. It did, and she was comfortable. But she couldn’t sleep for the life of her. She kept thinking about Barry and how he must be feeling. Not just about his speed and Wally and Caitlin and Zoom, but about their kiss. It was probably selfish of her, but she couldn’t help it. She’d been unsure if he still liked her the way she realized she now liked him. She couldn’t help but think that his reciprocating their kiss, especially the second time, was a sign that he did.
He wouldn’t just kiss her because he was seeking some comfort, right? Her Barry wouldn’t do that.
Iris turned over again on the couch, trying to put the thought out of her mind, to clear her mind so she could finally sleep. But she noticed then a stream of light under her bedroom door. She didn’t know if it had been on this whole time or not, but it was past 3am. Maybe Barry was having a hard time sleeping too.
She peeled the blankets back and quietly stood to her feet, rounding the couch. She hesitated, unsure of where this would go, if nothing would happen. Maybe he just wanted to sleep with the lights on because having the lights off reminded him too much of Zoom, reminded him of everything he hated and all that he’d lost.
But then she saw a shadow under the door and knew he was either pacing or approaching it just as she was.
“Barry?” She called out quietly, pausing a few steps down the short hall. “Barry, are you-?”
The door opened, and her eyes widened. She held her breath as she looked up at him, his hair a disheveled mess, his expression heartbreaking. She could see he’d been crying or at least near tears. She berated herself for not hearing it. She knew the sound of muffled crying into a pillow because she’d heard it numerous times down the hall when they were children.
“Oh, Barry.” Her heart broke and she reached her hand up to the side of his face. He leaned into it, breathing a little bit easier.
Then he lowered his own hand to her face, cradling it, transferring comfort to her the same as she was to him. Surely he was more burdened than she was, but he saw the heartbreak for him on her face. He wanted to soothe it, and he wanted to thank her for being so good to him.
“I can’t sleep,” he finally said, but he didn’t open his eyes. He held her hand against his face instead, afraid she’d let go. Nothing on earth could’ve made her.
“Barry,” she said softly but as a demand that brought him to attention, made him open his eyes.
He looked at her, his eyes searching for an answer just as they had before when she’d kissed him with no warning. She slid her hand up his shirt, clutched his collar and pulled him down to her just as she went up onto her tiptoes.
When their lips touched, she swore she felt a spark, even with his speed gone. Or maybe it was just the inevitability of what was about to happen, of what had always been destined between them.
“Wait, we were married?”
She broke away after one kiss, but she didn’t move. She stayed frozen inches from his lips, their breath intermingling, fate hanging in the balance.
And after that one moment, he kissed her on his own. His hands cupped her face, and he kissed her again and again. The kisses became hungrier, more feverish, and before either of them knew it he was backing up into her bedroom straight for the bed and Iris was kicking the door closed behind them.

Batman - The Carving - Issue #1
This is the script for the first issue of my fan created Batman comic story line, subtitled the Carving. It stars ‘The Carving’ the joker’s traumatised daughter, her fractured psyche and emotional state lead her to throw herself backwards in time on a one way mission to the only freedom she could ever understand.
The Carving – Part One – Betrayed Beginnings
Page One
Panel A – Light drops of rainwater drips down an axe, washing away dried blood. The unstained parts of the axe reflect the vibrant colours of the city shining into them.
Caption – Gotham City – The Year 2043
Caption – 09:32 PM
Caption – Two days after the Joker’s body was discovered.
The Carving – Caption – For decades I’ve wondered what it felt like. Living, that is. Human Living. Being more than just a heartbeat and breath.
The Carving – Caption – I wondered what it felt like to be a person.
Panel B – In the foreground, shrouded in shadow stands the flash (Barry Allen), his hood pulled down, his long beard swaying gently in the wind as he watches from the rooftop doorway. Standing on the edge of the building, looking out to the beautiful Gotham skyline is a figure wearing a dark stealth suit, a bloody axe hanging gently from her hand as she spreads her arms freely. Her long, vibrantly green hair flowing in the wind, sickly pale skin shining in the moonlight of the clear sky as the colours of Gotham city dance across her face. She is The Carving.
The Carving – I know what that feels like now. I know what it means to be a person. Which kinds of people there are. Which person I am.
The Flash – And who is that?
Panel C – The Carving jumps down from the edge on to the roof in front of him causing the flash to flinch slightly.
Silent Panel.
Panel D – The Carving runs up to the flash holding the bloodied axe in front her face. The entirety of her lower face, her mouth, cheeks and nose are hidden beneath an advanced looking skin-tight mask. Despite the mask, her excitement and joy can still be seen in her eyes and raised eyebrows.
The Carving – I’m the person that cut the Joker’s head off!
Page Two
Panel A – The Carving jumps back on the edge of the building spreading her arms wide and the axe high in celebration. The flash stands in the background, looking away from the Carving, guilty.
The Carving – He’s dead!!!!
The Carving – Ha! Ha! Ha! Haaaaa!
Panel B – E – This succession of panels is intended to display the swinging nature of The Carving’s moods and to demonstrate her separation from who and what the joker is. She is something different to her father. Over the first two panels, the joy and freedom in the Carving’s face are slowly replaced by despair and agony as she slowly lowers her arms defeated as tears begins to fall from her eyes. The third panel shows her screaming into the empty air in front of her in pure broken agony. In the final panel she begins to appear leaning forward over the edge of the building. Across the four panels the flash moves towards the Carving tentatively until he rests his hand on her shoulder in the final Panel.
The Carving – He’s dead…
The Carving – I’m Free…
The Carving – Never hurt…
The Carving – No more…
The Carving – Never…
The Carving – I’m Alive…
The Carving – AHHHHHH!!!!!
Page Three
Panel A – Splash – The flash is holding the Carving’s Arm as she stands nearly horizontal on the wall of the building staring down into the traffic dozens of stories below her. The Flash holds onto telephone wires to keep himself and her from going over the edge.
The Carving – You wouldn’t even let me go if I asked, would you?
The Carving – I know you’d consider it. I know you’d want to. You’d hate yourself for thinking it, but you’d want to.
The Carving – Maybe I’m wrong, maybe you would let me go.
The Flash – Clark would never forgive me.
The Carving – Well, he is dead, if that makes it easier for you.

Panel A – The Flash, using all his strength, pulls the Carving back onto the ledge of the building, she makes it hard for him by not lifting herself in the slightest, or shifting her weight back onto her legs, which are still on the ledge.
The Carving – We’re going with saved then.
Panel B – The two of them are standing on the rooftop once more, the flash still not looking at her directly. The Carving looks at him with curiosity.
The Carving – You still can’t look me in the eye. None of you can. Why?
The Flash - …
The Carving – Guilt? Shame? Hatred? Am I getting close? Or is it pity?
The Flash – After what you’ve done, you don’t deserve any pity from me.
Panel C – The Carving’s smile returns, but it is crueller. She leans in close to the Flash who stares at her coldly; she seems bigger and more intimidating then she is.
The Carving – But it’s still there. And you hate it. You hate that you can’t hate me. Don’t you?
The Flash – Yes.
The Carving – Heh. Heh. Tell me why. I want you to tell me why, Barry.
Panel D – A look of resentment runs across Barry’s face as he continues to stare down at the bemused Carving.
The Flash – Because I didn’t save you.
Carving – No!
Carving – That’s not right. You can't even admit it to yourself, can you? Boy Scout could, you know. Just before… He was brave in the end, I guess.
Panel E – There is a silent look of rage from The Flash directed at his taunting company.
Silent Panel.
Panel F – Finally the Flash looks away in shame. Causing the Carving’s glee to somehow present itself more clearly on her face.
The Flash – Because I chose not to save you.
The Carving – Yes…
The Flash – All of us. We all chose not to. For years…
Panel G – The Carving wraps her arms around the shamed Flash in a taunting and false hug causing the Flash to only look more disgusted, but he doesn’t try to fight her off.
The Carving – There you go. There you go, sweetie. Get it out.
The Carving – Now, doesn’t that feel so much better.
The Flash – You belong in Arkham. Sealed away.
The Carving – Wouldn’t be the first time you kept me locked away in hell.
Panel H – The Flash turns away from her as he continues where he was cut off.
The Flash - …Bruce stopped us.
The Carving – No! No! No, he didn’t. He asked you not to interfere. And you just accepted that. He never had to stop you because you never tried!
Page Five
Panel A – The Carving’s face becomes sympathetic in an instant as she continues the one-sided hug on Barry. Meanwhile behind his back she is picking at some of the dried blood still stuck to her axe.
The Carving – Oh, I’m sorry sweetie, I didn’t mean to shout. I just… I just get so mad. You are so big, so far above the rest of us. But you still bow to that Big Bad Bat like a little puppy. Doing what master says, hoping for a treat.
Panel B – The Flash tears himself from The Carving’s grasp and begins to walk away. The Carving raises her hands in mock surprise at his withdrawal.
The Carving – Aren’t you going to ask me why I’m here?
The Flash – No.
Panel C – A close-up on Barry’s stunned face as he hears the Carving’s next words.
The Carving – Just gonna’ run home to sweet Iris, and uh, … what are their names it’s so hard to remember? Dan and Dianne?
Panel D – The same shot as before but now rage has taken over Barry’s features.
The Flash – Don and Dawn.
Panel E – The Flash, using his super-speed is holding the Carving by the scruff of her combat suit, holding her mostly over the edge of the building.
The Carving – Oh! Ha! Ha! Back here again!
The Carving – How old are they now? 16? 17? I forgot to ask.
The Flash – What did you do? Where are they?
Panel F – The smile and cruelty vanish from The Carving’s face as a wave of cool focus seems to wash over her. She has power over the situation and she knows it, and so does the Flash.
The Carving – Let go.
Page Six
Panel A – The Flash releases her and takes a step back to allow her to stand fully on the roof once more.
The Carving – That’s better.
The Flash – Where are they?
The Carving – No. Not yet.
Panel B – The Flash turns around and bends down to get into his running stance to leave, but the Carving pulls a clicker with a big red button with the word ‘Boom!’ written on it, from her belt.
The Carving – Always in such a rush. You must miss so much going so quickly.
The Flash – What is that?
The Carving – You know what it is.
The Flash – What do I have to do for you to not press that?
Panel C – The Carving sits on the ledge, folding her arms and legs, letting The Flash stand straight once more.
The Carving – 23rd September 2022.
The Flash – Why?
The Carving – Why not? Ha Ha!
The Flash – Whatever you plan to do, you have no idea what consequen…
The Carving – Are you going to take me, or I am going to have to go and kidnap Wally’s family too?
Panel D – The Flash hangs his head in defeat. As the Carving saunters towards him in gleeful victory.
The Flash – I have a responsibility, Carving. I can’t use these powers to disrupt time. Especially knowing what happened last time I changed history, it nearly caused the world to tear itself apart.
The Carving – Well that sounds like an exciting story Barry. But I think that, right now at least, you have a choice to make, all of time and space, or little Iris.
The Flash – Tell me why. Why that date?
The Carving – Oh, you’ll figure it out when you get back here, don’t worry. Now stop dilly-dallying.
Panel E – Small sparks of energy begin to bounce off the Flash’s boots, as he holds out his arms in an invitation to the Carving.
The Carving – We have a deal then?
The Flash – It seems I don’t have a choice. The Carving – Don’t you remember Barry?
The Carving – We always have choices. You should know that by now.
The Carving – Don’t hide behind helplessness Flash. It’s not a good look on you… hero.
Panel F – The Carving jumps into the Flash’s arms bridal style, hanging one arm around his neck.
The Carving – Good choice, Flash!
The Carving – You know, I’ve always wondered what this felt like.
The Flash – Time travel? 4. The Carving – Being held in kind arms…
The Carving – But yes, time travel too, now that you mention it.
Panel G – This panel will show the Flash in very stages of descent down the side of the building and onto the road below in the heavy traffic, his streak trailing behind him. The Carving is waving her arms around like a child in an amusement park.
Silent Panel
Page Seven
Panel A – Splash – The Flash runs towards a time vortex. The vortex appears to be tearing itself into reality, dragging everything towards it with bolts of lightning shooting out of it. In the centre of the vortex, The neon sign of A.C.E. Chemicals sits in the eye of the storm. The Carving is no longer waving her arms, instead focusing intently ahead, her grip on her bloody axe is clearly tight.
The Carving – I’m ready.
Page Eight – Nine
Panel A – Double-Page Splash – This splash is meant to serve as a fragmented introduction to the DC Universe which the Carving and this older Barry Allen originate from. As the two of them travel through the time vortex, moments of importance flash through the vortex. The muscular body of Superman lying on a lonely country road, costume torn and bloody, with his neck visibly broken and jutting out into the skin; In the background Lois holds the body of Superboy who looks as bad as superman, his neck in the same condition. The hands of a Green Lantern wrapped in yellow chains with the cracked, lifeless ring of willpower still sitting on his finger, mocking him. A lonely Diana sitting upon the throne of Themyscira wearing her mother’s crown, darkness engulfing her. Arthur Curry turning away from a holo-image of Amnesty Bay with his brother Orm standing at his side. Penultimately, Bruce Wayne, cast in shameful silhouette, standing in the doorway of Wayne Manor as Alfred Pennyworth and Damian Wayne carry their most valuable possessions away, never to return. Finally, Batman, without his cowl to hide his agonised face, aiming a pistol square between the eyes of the Carving herself.
Silent Panel.
Page Ten
Panel A – A silent, gloomy Gotham alleyway. Trash and filth cover the floor and walls as shadows try their best to hide the disgusting site.
Narration – Gotham City – 2021
Panel B – The portal smashes through reality into existence as bolts of lightning lash out at the walls and fire escapes. Stray newspapers and other trash are claimed by the violent winds swirling around the opening in reality.
Sound Effect – Krack!
Panel C – The portal has disappeared as soon as it appears, Barry Allen now standing in its place with the Carving already eagerly jumping from his hands. Her eyes wide as she takes in the Gotham of the past.
The Carving – It’s…
Panel D – She turns and looks at Barry with disappointment.
The Carving – It’s the same. Isn’t it?
The Flash – Gotham is always Gotham.
Page Eleven
Panel A – The Carving catches a stray piece of newspaper that is still floating about in the air.
Silent Panel.
Panel B – C - A close-up of the front page, the attached photograph shows the Penguin sitting in a bulletproof glass box inside a court house, but the article is more focused on the captivating Bruce Wayne standing in the middle of the court room. The title of the article reads, “Bruce Wayne, Batman’s Elected Court Representative!” The paragraph of the article that hasn’t been torn away from the old paper reads “Bruce Wayne appeared in court today, acting as the middle man between Batman and the Gotham High Courts. He presented evidence provided Batman and authenticated by the GCPD with assistance from several divisions of Wayne Enterprises. The Penguin will face life in court for numerous counts of arms dealings amongst other charges including…” The rest of the article is missing. Silent Panel. Panel C – The Carving brings the paper close to her eyes and crosses her eyebrows with heavy scrutiny.
The Carving – He looks so young. He still has his eye…
The Flash – Where is my family?
Panel D – The Carving walks down the alleyway towards the main road still engrossed by the newspaper. She absentmindedly calls back to the Flash.
The Carving – Who?
The Flash – Is this all a big joke to you?
The Carving – Yes? Yes.
The Carving – That’s the answer you wanted, right?
Page Twelve
Panel A – The Flash launches a vibrating hand right at The Carving’s belt, she watches but chooses to not react what so ever. Silent Panel. Panel B – The Flash crushes the trigger in-front of her in a righteously victorious manner. While the Carving just rolls her eyes.
The Carving – Party Pooper.
Panel C – The Flash grabs her and slams her against a wall, his face a complete mess of confusion while the Carving just seems bored with the whole situation.
The Flash – You’re done! You’re coming back with me to our time. And I’m giving you back to him. He can decide what to do with you. As long as I never have to see you again, I don’t care.
The Carving – Good little puppy.
Panel D – The Flash turns back to the centre of the alley where the portal had been moments ago. But is halted in his tracks, his face is cold with shock and dread.
The Carving – And I thought you loved her. I mean, she clearly loved you.
The Flash – Whispering – loved…
The Carving – Yes, Flashy boy. Loved. You see…
Page Thirteen Panel A – Splash – Without holding back, the flash slams her into the wall sideways with all the force and speed he can.
Sound Effect – Slam!
The Carving - #### Barry! What was that for?
The Flash – Enough ####### games. What did you do? Where is my family?
The Carving – They’re waiting for you at home. Just hanging out.
The Carving – Hehe. Cough* Sorry. Hahaha!
The Flash – What. What’s so damn funny.
The Carving – Hanging!
The Carving – Panel Sound Effect – Hahahahahahahaha!
The Flash – No… 10. The Carving – Yep.
Panel A – Indent – Barry’s face collapses to tears as he raises his fist and begins to vibrate is right in-front of the Carving’s face.
The Flash – Whispering – Why?
The Carving – Cause Barry.
The Flash – Why!
The Carving – Because now you can’t take me back.
The Flash – You’re right! I might not even take back a body.
Page Fourteen
Panel A – The Carving, seemingly enjoying playing with the Flash shrugs lightly.
The Carving – Oh, come on. You’re a smart little puppy Flash. Why did I pick this date?
The Flash – I don’t care!
The Carving – Yes you do. Good little detective like you? You need to know. It’s scratching away at the back of your mind. Chipping away. Chip! Chip! Chip!
Panel B – The Flash lowers his vibrating hand while The Carving just waits expectantly.
Silent Panel.
Panel C – The Flash snaps up looking at the Carving with sudden realisation.
The Flash – No… No, you can’t! You can’t do that. It will create a paradox. Time will tear apart trying to rearrange itself around the void.
The Carving – There you go. Clever little puppy.
The Flash – I can’t let you do this.
Panel D – The Carving walks forward knowing she now has the power of the situation.
The Carving – But you know you’re going to anyway. Don’t you Barry.
The Carving – You know that if there’s ever a chance. The smallest chance that your wife will be waiting for you when you go back. Your beautiful children running up to hug you as you walk through the front door. You will never fight me, because if you don’t let me do what I came here to; you will never hold Iris in your arms again.
Panel E – Barry let’s his shoulders fall as he stands back out of her way. The Carving forces his eyes to hers by lifting his head under his cheeks. He doesn’t hide the tears dripping into his beard, nor does he hide the rage and grief dancing across his face.
The Flash – I hate you.
The Carving – You all do. You always have. Now, I’ve just given you a reason.
The Carving – Now go home.
Page Fifteen
Panel A – Without another word the Carving walks down the alleyway towards the street. The Flash is left standing defeated in the dark; losing a fight he didn’t even realise had started, a fight he’d already lost.
Silent Panel.
Panel B – A Close-up of Barry as he looks down at his wedding ring, gently rubbing the beautiful gold band and the delicate metal work. The letter’s ‘Iris’ shining in the pale moonlight shining down from above.
The Flash – I’m sorry.
Panel C – The Carving is leaning against the wall, around the corner listening to the Flash. Her eyes are sad.
The Carving – I really shouldn’t be surprised. The plan kinda’ did rely on him believing it.
The Carving - *Sigh*
Panel D – The Carving looks up at the neon green sign that reads A.C.E Chemicals. Her shoulders are slumped, she looks weary as if she were about to let the earth consume her.
The Carving – I’d just mentioned their names, and he’d never even think to question it.
The Carving – Iris, he loves her so much. I wonder what she’s like.
Page Sixteen
Panel A – A joker thug is patrolling along the roof of the A.C.E. Chemicals building with a high-powered assault rifle in his hands. He is walking towards a Joker thug who is lighting a cigarette through a heavy plastic mask, with his legs dangling over the side of the roof.
Gun Thug – Even for him this is twisted.
Smoking Thug – Haha! You’re kidding right.
Gun Thug – Don’t laugh like that man. You know you sound like him.
Smoking Thug – I know, I know. I’m sorry. Come on, relax man.
Panel B – The thug with the assault rifle slumps down and sits on the edge of the roof next to his friend and lets his own feet hang off the edge. He sits the rifle against a pillar next to him. Behind them, The Carving appears in the shadows, her axes drawn.
Gun Thug – You know what he’s doing to her in their don’t you.
Smoking Thug – This is just their thing you know that.
Smoking Thug – He chases her. She runs. He catches her, drags her back kicking and screaming up a storm.
Gun Thug – I don’t know man. He’s never used chains like that. Back When they started, there’s used to be a glint in her eyes, a smirk behind the gag. Not this time. She was bloody.
Smoking Thug – I thought you didn’t have a shift on Tuesday.
Gun Thug – Rostering called me last minute.
Smoking Thug – Huh. Of course, they called Craig before they called Xavier.
Gun Thug – Hey, I told you not to give them your real name when I brought you in.
Page Seventeen
Panel A – The men continue their conversation oblivious to the figure who is moving closer towards them, raising her axes.
Smoking Thug – Whatever man. Why do you even care? She was bloody last time as well.
Gun Thug – And the time before I know. It’s getting worse though. I can’t remember the last time I saw her even pretending to be happy about being caught.
Smoking Thug – You suddenly grow a conscience mate. You know this is dirty. Just don’t think about it. They’re both sick. Just be happy the freak’s attention isn’t pointed at you.
Gun Thug – I was sitting with my daughter last night. She asked me to tell her about work.
Smoking Thug – Ah Jeez.
Panel B – The Carving lowers her axes slightly. The smoking thug puts an arm around the shoulder of his buddy.
Gun Thug – What am I meant to tell her. That I got paid to carry a bloody and beaten, barely conscious woman in a stupid clown costume. And then hang her by her cuffs on a crane above a vat of acid for some sick clown to come and play with?
Smoking Thug – I don’t know how you do it. Go home to her after working a shift here.
Gun Thug – I have lots of glass friends sitting in my fridge.
Smoking Thug – That’s only going to make it worse later.
Gun Thug – Whatever, crossing bridges and all that ####. I’m just trying not to think about what he’s doing to her in there right now.
Smoking Thug – Yeah. Me too. Wanna smoke?
Panel E – The Thug with the rifle is reaching for a smoke out of the offered pack from his friend when The Carving slams needles into both of their necks, causing them to stiffen and contort in pain.
Silent Panel.
Page Eighteen
Panel A – The Carving is checking the gun while she stands above the unconscious bodies of the two guards. Rain is starting to pore down on her and the bodies, she seems unphased by it.
Joker Thugs – *Groaning*
Panel B – The Carving lands gently on metal catwalks as the sickly green glow of the acid shines up from the bubbling vats below.
Soft Sound Effect – Clang.
Panel C – The Carving slowly approaches the edge of the catwalk, looking down in to the green. A look of disgust and fear crosses her face as she raises a hand in surprise to her masked face in surprise.
The Carving – Mom!
Page Nineteen
Panel A – Splash – The Joker is standing, half submerged in a shallow Vat of acid. His shirt is dissolving as the acid splashes over his body. With one hand, he is holding a purple trailing point pocket knife blade to the neck of a bound and gagged Harley Quinn, her arms being held above her by cuffs hooked into a crane. The Joker is laughing maniacally as he uses his free hand to run an acid coated hand through his electric green hair like a perverted shampoo. Harley is thrashing roughly in the acid as her pants melt. Her blood is dripping into and mixing with the green acid, as tears mix with the blood leaking from lacerations on her face, staining the fabric gag. High on the catwalk in the background, the Carving is visible in her shocked and frozen position.
The Joker – Oh Harley dear, stop thrashing about so much. I know you’ve missed this as much as I have.
Harley – MMM!
The Joker – You’ll have to speak up dear I’m afraid my ears are getting a little clogged from the bath.
The Joker – Now. What does my little minx want her pudding to do to her?
The Joker – HAHAHAHAHA!
Page Twenty
Panel A – The Carving turns away from the railing, from the scene below, she is slamming her eyes shut, desperate to stop the tears escaping them.
The Carving – No! Don’t let me see…
Panel B – C – These two panels are meant to follow the idea of like mother like daughter, both being subjected to the sadistic tyranny of the joker. In the first panel, Harley is screaming into the gag as the Joker bites into her neck while lightly dragging the blade across the top of her shirt. In the second panel, The Joker is uncomfortably close to a Terrified and agonised young girl with long green hair and skin paler then his own. He is kissing her forehead as he carves the letter “J” Into her chest.
The Joker in both panels – You are mine! My pretty girl!
Panel D – The Carving has slunk against the railing of the catwalk with her head in her hands, her body troubled as if it were shaking with dread.
The Carving – Go away! Go Away!
Page Twenty-One
Panel A – The Carving pulls her knees to her chest and holds them tight, her face is a wet mess of tears as they drip down her face and across her mask. She begins to softly sing to herself.
The Carving – “Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells, and cockle shells, and pretty maids all in a row.”
Harley Quinn – Off/Panel – MMMM!
Panel B – The Carving shakily returns to her feet, using her rifle to support herself. She is still singing to herself and her eyes are squeezed tight, trying to drown out Harley’s muffled screams coming from below.
Harley – Off/Panel – AHHH! MMMM!
The Carving – “Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells, and cockle shells, and pretty maids all in a row.”
Panel C – The Carving rests the rifle on the railing and aims it down at the vat of acid. Her face has gained some of its determination.
The Carving – “Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? With silver bells, and cockle…”
Page Twenty-Two
Panel A – The Joker reaches up and tears away the dissolving rag and tosses into the acid. Replacing it with his index finger as he moves himself as close to Harley as physically possible.
The Joker – Now my pretty little Harley, is all that screaming necessary. You sound like a dog caught in a bear trap. Or are you just whining for me like a good little girl?
Panel B – The Joker removes his finger and holds Harley tightly with both hands around her neck.
Harley – Softly as she’s struggling to breathe – Please, puddin’ ya hurtin’ me. Stop.
The Joker – Hehehe. I know Harl’
Panel C – A red dot appears on the side of the Joker’s face as he leans in close to kiss Harley.
The Joker – Come give your Joker a nice kiss and I might stop squeezing. Or maybe I’ll squeeze harder.
The Joker – AHHH-HAHAHAHA!
Panel D – The Carving’s finger ever so slightly squeezes the trigger.
Silent Panel.
Panel E – A massive swirling shadow appears over the Carving as she is about to fire.
Batman – Who are you?
Panel F – The Carving’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise as she recognises the voice.
The Carving – No. Not yet…
Page Twenty-Three
Panel A – The Carving swings her axe around, catching the fins on Batman’s gauntlets. He himself is still hidden mostly in shadows, practically invisible.
Sound Effect – Cling!
Panel B – The Carving launches herself at the shadows with her axes aimed high, ready to strike a killing blow. Her rifle now leaning unreliably on the railing.
Silent Panel.
Panel C – The Carving spins around with a kick aimed for the head, she is blocked by a floating hand as if the shadow was defending itself from her.
Silent Panel.
Panel D – The rifle is starting to slip from its precarious resting point.
Silent Panel.
Panel E – The Carving is contorting herself in an extreme fashion in an attempt to slice at the shadow’s legs with her axes.
The Carving – Hmm!
Panel F – The Rifle is now falling away from the railing towards the edge of the balcony.
Silent Panel.
Panel G – The Carving makes a dive for the rifle as it falls off the balcony to the full vat of boiling acid below them. Grabbing her leg are the finned gauntlets of the shadow.
The Carving – No!
Page Twenty-Four
Panel A – The Carving kicks at the shadow’s arms.
Silent Panel.
Panel B – The Carving launches herself into a sprint along the catwalk. In the shadow behind her are piercing white eyes.
The Carving – You won’t stop me! Not again!
Panel C – The Carving readies her axe to throw down at the Joker who is still oblivious to the commotion going on above him.
Silent Panel.
Panel D – As the Carving is mid-throw, a grappling hook wraps itself around the handle of the axe.
The Carving – No! No!
Panel E – The Hook retracts, dragging the axe from her reluctant grip pulling her to the floor as well.
Sound Effect – Thud!
Page Twenty-Five
Panel A – Splash – The Carving is kneeling on the ground with one hand on her second axe, looking ready to pounce on the figure before her. The figure being a larger than life Batman, holding her axe above her in a position ready to defend against the undoubtedly incoming blow. His cape is swirling around him, making him look almost animalistic and demonic in his visage that is still partially hidden within the shadow.
The Carving – You weren’t here Bruce!
