People are acting like Yang being gay with Blake while bad things are happening to ruby is Yang being a “bad sister” like Yang not being allowed to have nice things because the universe will immediately attack ruby is new???
Like it’s not either of their fault that the gods of rwby just hate Yang being gay
Back in atlas Yang and Blake going dancing? The party rubys working at gets attacked
Yang and Blake have a moment after killing Adam? Rubys getting attacked by a giant mech
Barn scene? Like minutes later they’re all attacked by the apathy which leads ruby alone to defend them
Even in the like beginning of the series this been happening
Remember when they got that SINGLE DANCE TOGETHER!?!?!? Minutes later ruby goes and fights CHILD MURDERER CINDER FUCKING FALL
They went on that one mission in the abandoned city Blake and Yang had a little “your not one to back down from a fight Blake” yeah wasn’t that nice- RUBY GETS KIDNAPPED you guys remember that??? She was so freaked out poor yang
literally the second she becomes partners with Blake they’re having a great time literally the easiest time out of any other team partners even renora in which Nora’s having a great time but rens suffering they get there first and they’re just chilling and you know what rubys doing meanwhile FLYING ON A DAMN NEVERMORE
For like the earlier stuff that happened it was a lot of ruby being a gremlin child and taking every opportunity to get away from her overprotective sister to go and be a menace to society and then later on it’s that the universe is literally trying to give ruby every kind of trauma and yang physically can’t be there to help with all of it
Like when her and Blake got together Yang was TELEPORTED AWAY ABOVE SOME MAGICAL INFINITE ABYSS and try and Yang might to be as not gay as possible avoiding with all her might saying I love you out loud she’s literally got no choice and then the next day ruby gets the worst mental breakdown of her life
It’s not rubys fault she doesn’t support yang being gay that shits a survival tactic Blake seducing her sister is gonna get her killed
No wonder Yang was so overprotective especially in the beginning of the season it starts out with ruby getting FUCKING ROBBED yeah that’s probably the last time ruby was ever allowed to go shopping by herself

Can we get more bellamy blake
Y/n’s pov
I’ve never felt so unhappy in my life. Clark had the whole group, me, Octavia, Raven, Echo, and a few other girls, sit down so she could tell us the news. She and Bellamy are officially dating.
All of us except for Octavia, always talk about how in love we are with Bellamy. How can you not? He’s a leader, he’s fit, his voice is the most attractive thing I’ve heard, his hair is always amazing and he looks at every girl like he’s in love with them.
The only girl he’s ever been touchy with was Clark. That’s when the group started to back off and I began to think I wasn’t enough. Clark would even tell me herself that I’m not his type. I should have listened to her.
“I can’t wait to see little Clark’s and Bellamy’s!” Echo said, making us all laugh. I fake laughed. Clark didn’t stab me in my back but she knew I always had something for Bellamy way before he got hot. It feels like as soon as I told her, she started liking him as well.
“Speaking of the devil. Here he comes,” one of our friends said as Bellamy came up behind Clark and hugged her tightly. That’s when my heart shattered. He looked so happy.
Bellamy had whispered in Clark’s ear for about a minute, probably asking about the party later tonight. Clark had stared at me for a few seconds of that time but maybe that’s because I’m Monty and Jasper's only friend around here.
“Everyone’s coming to the party tonight, right?” Clark asked. “Yeah!” We all replied. Bellamy nodded his head and then turned around to leave but Clark held him back. She pulled him in by his waist and pressed her lips on his. She looked to the side, making sure all of the girls saw how lucky she is.
We all clapped and yelled as I faked it. Octavia can probably tell, but she knows not to ask about how I feel. She knows how I feel about Bellamy already and Clark doing everything better than me, any chance she gets.
“Oh, I’m doing great!” I fake smiled as I held up my cup. “Doesn’t seem like it. You’re drinking,” Monty said. “You never drink,” Jasper said. “C'mon, guys. It’s just one cup,” I said. “Yeah and when you said that 2 years ago, you kept filling that one cup,” Jasper said.
“I know, I know, but I won’t this time guys. I promise,” I said, knowing I shouldn’t have but I did to get them to not worry about me. Why can’t other people care about me and not the same three people?
“We’ll keep checking up on you,” Monty said then walked away with Jasper as I turned back around and leaned onto the bar table. “Another one?” The bartender asked. “Yeah,” I said, making it onto my 4th cup. Usually, I can take it but Monty and Jasper have found stronger berries throughout the years.
“So are you gonna keep drinking or come and dance with your friends?” Someone asked as they stood beside me. “Monty and Jasper will be just fine. They have each other,” I said my last sentence low and a bit slurred.
“I wasn’t talkin’ about them,” I slightly jumped at the low and deep voice of Bellamy speaking next to me. “O-Oh! Oh, then who?” I asked, placing g my drink to the side that I already almost gulped all down.
“Me,” he said. I’ve never considered him a friend. He’s more like a dying crush I want so bad but can’t have. “Didn’t know we were friends,” I awkwardly laughed, still keeping my eyes off of him, knowing his eyes are on me.
“Of course we are. You’re my girlfriend's, best friend,” he said causing my heart to drop. A chuckle slipped from his mouth like he saw my reaction and knew why I reacted the way I did.
“Oh, well, that’s good to know. I think I should get to Monty-“ I tried saying as I grabbed my cup and turned to leave but he stood in my way. “Why? I’m here. Plus, I’m a bit bored and like to be with you,” he said. “W-Well, there are other people for that. Like your girlfriend,” I said
I stepped to the side and then walked off, heating him chuckle one last time. “C'mon, y/n! I just wanna talk,” he said but I didn’t want to. I can’t even be around him anymore without thinking about him and Clark. Clark and him. Him and Clark.
I quickly made it behind the party, to my tent to be away from everyone. Why do I even go? I never talk to anyone and all I do is watch Bellamy dance or kiss one other girl. I’m 22 and still have a little boy crush. What’s up with me?
I changed into my night clothes then flopped on my bed and began reading a book I’ve been dying to finish. As I was flipping through my chapters, I got startled by someone coming into my tent.
“Hey? Hey dude, this isn’t your tent. Hey. Hey!” I yelled at the man as he sipped up my tent then turned around. It’s Bellamy.
“What do you want? You made the rule, no going into other people's tent without permission, Bellamy,” I said, not wanting him to see me like this. I don’t want to see him right now anyways. Too much has been going on.
“When it comes to you, I do what I want. Come here,” he demand, slightly intimidating me so I got up and slowly walked over towards him. “Don’t be scared, just come here,” he said as he pulled me into him by my arm.
“How many cups did you have?” He asked, making me roll my eyes. He’s touching my face and wishing my eyes, basically checking me like a doctor or parent. “Doesn’t matter. You’re not my dad,” I said, still staying still.
I quickly realized I should have answered correctly or ignored his question. Bellamy grabbed my face harshly, causing me to whine in pain. I tried pushing him off but he yelled at me to stop.
“How many, y/n,” he asked, sounding too serious for me to lie or ignore him. “One cup but I uh, I refilled it several times,” I said, making Bellamy sigh loudly and let my face go as he stepped back. He looked stressed.
“It’s not that serious, Bell. Look, I’m back in my tent, safe and sound. So you can go back with your girlfriend and kiss or something,” I said as I walked back over to my bed and sat down.
“Y/n, it’s not about me and Clark right now! It’s about you drinking Monty and Jaspers drink, knowing it’s too strong for you. I’ve seen you black out. And being blacked out in a not-so-secure tent is the last thing you and I need,” he said.
“Why you? It’s my problem if anything happens to me. Not yours,” I said. “Yes, it is!” He yelled as he sped up right in front of me at my bed. “You can’t just skip around here in these skimpy fucking clothes, drink till you’re defenseless, and come back to your tent alone. That’s a free game for anyone, y/n! You need to think!” Bellamy yelled.
“I’m not defenseless,” I said, crossing my arms in front of him. “Don’t start this shit, y/n. You can train all you want but sometimes, it just won’t help you. That’s how life is,” he said.
“I’m not defenseless!” I yelled at him. I got up and pushed Bellamy but he barely moved an inch. “I-I don’t wear skimpy clothes either!” I pushed him again, hoping he’d move this time but he quickly grabbed my wrists and turned me around.
Bellamy pushed me into my bed, making me dizzy. “You don’t wear skimpy shit? Then what the fuck is this?” Bellamy asked and before I could ask what he was talking about, Bellamy ripped my silk shorts off of me.
“No fucking underwear in these loose-ass short shorts. Fucking slut,” Bellamy chuckled in his last sentence. “Bell! Get off of me! What the fuck!?” I yelled, confused on why he was doing this. His girlfriend is my best friend.
“You like me around? I see how wet you are,” Bellamy said as he quickly slipped two fingers into my cunt, causing me to moan at the unexpected feeling of his thick fingers.
“Bellamy, stop it! You can’t just- You’re my best friend’s boyfriend,” I said as tears built up in my eyes. Why am I enjoying this? “Oh, really? You guys are? Then why are you so fucking wet,” he growled in my ear.
“Huh!? Tell me. I wanna know how your best friend's boyfriend is making you soak my fingers,” he teased in my ear, knowing I’m crying from pleasure and guilt. He loves it.
“C'mon, y/n. I wanna know what’s making my princess so wet. I’m not complaining, of course, I just really wanna know. It’s so hot. You’re so hot,” he groaned in my ear as I leaked down my legs.
“You think you can take me, baby? I need to get you use to me before people know we’re fucking. Can’t have them thinking you’re being murdered while I’m in your pretty little cunt,” he said as he fondled his belt and jeans.
“Wait, no- No, we can’t have sex. No one can know about this,” I said, trying to get up but he pushed my back down with the hand that was in me. “P-Please,” I cried, knowing I want this. I want him. I need him. I’ve needed him for too long.
“Thought you said you weren’t defenseless. Look at you now. Sobbing for my cock,” Bellamy teased. I went to try and get up again but quickly buried my face into my sheets as Bellamy pushed his cock all the way into me.
“Fuuuck!” I screamed into my sheets. “Oh yeah. This is what I needed,” Bellamy groaned as he began to thrust into me at a fast and hard paste. “Never knew your ass was this fat, baby. I have to see more of this. It’s already pulling me close to the edge,” Bellamy gave my ass a slap, causing me to let out a yelp.
“Fuck,” he groaned, grabbing my waist tightly to pull me into him like a sex doll. “Bell, B-Bellamy,” I moaned as my legs started shaking. “You’re so sensitive. Already going to have your second,” I could hear his cocky smirk.
“I knew you were slutty. By the way, you walk around in your tight fucking clothes. Fuck, I’m gonna milk you every day,” Bellamy gave my ass another slap, only sending another orgasm rushing over me.
“You’re mine, do you understand me. You fucking tell me. Tell me you’re mine while I cum in you, baby,” Bellamy breathed heavily in my ear. “Bell,” I moaned, feeling horrible but not at the same time. I wanted him first and Clark knew that.
“Tell me!” He growled in my ear as he gripped my neck and tugged my hair so that my head lifted back. “I-I can’t,” I cried as I grinded my ass up against him, riding out the pathetic orgasm that I so desperately needed as soon as he pushed his cock into me.
“Don’t say it in a few seconds, and I’ll cum in your face and make you go to the party,” he said, trying to keep his orgasm back. “Or better yet, I’ll stop right now, pull you to the party and make you get on your knees and finish on your face in front of everyone. Including Clark,” he mocked her name. He doesn’t care.
“Fuck, Bellamy! I’m yours! Fuck, I’m yours!” I moaned out loud as my body shook again. “Fuck, baby. Say it again. Tell me how much you want me to cum in your pretty tight pussy,” Bellamy groaned as he rubbed all over my body, still trying to fuck me with a good rhythm.
“Please cum in me, Bell. I need you,” I whined. “Only if we go to Clark tomorrow and show her how full I get you after morning sex. I know that bitch move she pulled and I played along. Just to get to you, baby. Just to get right here with me buried deep in your soaked pussy,” Bellamy whispered in my ear, causing me to cum all over his legs and mine again.
“O-Okay,” I whined, so dick-drunk that I barely noticed he admitted to getting with Clark just to get with me. “Mhm, fuuuck!” Bellamy groaned in my ear as he slowly thrusted into me as he filled me up until his cum leaked out of me.
“So fucking good, baby. You feel so fucking good,” he whispered into my ear as my eyes blurred out a bit from the amazing sex session and the alcohol still in my system.
“I’m sleeping here tonight. Tomorrow we’ll move all of your things to my tent. We can honestly combine our tents so we’ll have a bigger space,” Bellamy started speaking after he pulled out of me and pulled me into him as he laid back on my bed.
“Okay,” I smiled down at him. “Are you gonna continue being friends with Clark?” Bellamy asked, sounding worried. “No, especially not after this,” I giggled. “Good, because she’s been talking down on you for years and I couldn’t stand it. Only made me grow more love for you, actually,” Bellamy admitted.
“I’ve liked you for too long,” I laughed, embarrassed at how long it’s been. “Trust me, it’s cute and very noticeable,” he said. “What!?” I asked, making me laugh. “Hell yeah. You’re not slick at all,” he said, and I buried my face in his chest. At least he likes me back.

He’s So Jealous || Chicago Fire/MED/PD Preferences

Connor Rhodes
Tumblr media
A new Doctor had recently transferred to the MED, and Sharon had asked you to show him around. Dr. Ian Blake was smart, kind, and an overall nice person. He listened to everything you said, memorised where all of the different departments and wards were, and was very obviously doing this just to gain your attention, and to blatantly flirt with you in front of your colleagues. Connor was furious. Yes, the two of you had only been in this relationship for a short while, but seeing someone else flirt with you caused a wave of unbelievable anger to surge into his chest. Throughout the entire day, Connor kept telling himself that it meant nothing, that you weren’t interested in this new guy. But when he overheard Dr. Ian ask you out for coffee, he couldn’t take it anymore. He stormed into the break room, not saying a word as he angrily took your hand in his own and dragged you away to a vacant storage room, where he then kissed you passionately. Connor wasn’t one to complain, but when you pulled away from him and lightly pushed him away, he couldn’t help but pout. “What are you doing?” You questioned, raising an eyebrow in wait for his response. Connor shrugged “I’m trying out something new-” “Oh my god, you’re jealous of Dr. Ian!” You exclaimed, laughing to yourself quietly as Connor folded his arms over his chest. “I heard him ask you out for coffee, and I just...I don’t know, it was stupid”. You smiled at his childish pout, before reaching up to cup his face in your hands “Connor, you know I was going to say no before you pulled me away right?” You told him, standing up on your tip-toes and placing a kiss to his brow “Now come on, I’ll make it up to you after work. Tonight, at Molly’s?”. Connor nodded, smiling to himself as you disappeared from the storage room.
Will Halstead
Tumblr media
Will wasn’t usually the type of person to get jealous. But when he did, he became distant, mumbling short responses to long statements or questions. You had been visiting the ED a lot lately, whether it was to meet Maggie, April or Natalie for lunch, or it was to see him and drop off something you had baked early in the morning. But a few times now, every time you had walked into the ED, Connor had been there to meet you. At first you thought it was strange, but then you thought nothing of it as Connor always directed you to wherever Will was, stopping to have a conversation with you on the way. Will began to notice your interactions with Connor, and for some reason, he began to doubt himself. One particular morning, you entered the ED with a bright smile on your face, the smile widening when you spotted Will talking to April. April waved you over, whilst Will suddenly became very engrossed in his work. You couldn’t help but feel hurt by his actions, but brushed it off as you approached, “Hey...” You greeted happily “are we still on for dinner tonight?”. When Will didn’t respond immediately, you knew something was wrong. “Uh yeah, sure...excuse me” he mumbled, stepping around you and disappearing into Trauma 3. You stood bewildered, trying to ignore the painful tugging in your chest. “What the hell was that?” You asked April, who merely shrugged her shoulders “I don’t know, but I did hear him say something to Natalie this morning about you. I didn’t hear what it was but you could try asking her”. So you did, and you couldn’t help but feel guilty. Will was jealous of your friendship with Connor. He thought that maybe he wasn’t good enough for you, and you felt horrible. You wanted to talk to him, and try to make him understand that he was enough, that you cared about him. But every time you tried to approach him, he disappeared into a restricted section, or he went to tend to a patient. So, you thought that maybe you could get through to him some other way, and a brilliant idea formed. When Will finished his shift, he walked into the break room to retrieve some paperwork he had left there earlier when he spotted something familiar. It was a beautiful vanilla cake with buttercream icing. Specifically, your vanilla cake with buttercream icing. His favourite. Beside the cake was a letter, written in your delicate handwriting explaining everything. You apologised, telling him that you didn’t mean to make him jealous, and that if he still wanted to come over for dinner, he was welcome to. He headed to your apartment as soon as he left the MED.
Ethan Choi
Tumblr media
It was just a regular coffee date. You and Ethan had decided to meet up at the same cafe where he ran into you that day after Ethan finished an overnight shift. Even though he was tired, there was no force on earth that could stop him from seeing you. After ordering your regular and making your way to a window-side booth, it was then that you noticed black marker scribbled on the side of your cup. Curiously, you turned the cup to examine it closer, and blushed nervously as you immediately turned it away from you. “What is it?” Ethan asked, tilting his head to the side in wait for your response. You shook you head, releasing a small huff “It’s nothing, they just got my order wrong that’s all”. Not at all liking your answer, Ethan examined the styrofoam cup himself and couldn’t help the jealousy building in his chest. The barista behind the counter had written his name and number on your cup, with a small winky face drawn at the side. When Ethan huffed angrily, you winced. “It’s okay...” You tried to reason “he’s looks like he’s in his twenties. And besides, I’m sitting with you and not him”. His jaw clenched, his eyes not leaving your coffee cup. “Is he looking this way?” he asked, causing your eyebrows to furrow “Yes, why?”. In one swift movement, Ethan moved into the seat beside you, placing a long and lingering kiss to your cheek before wrapping his arm around your shoulder. Pulling you into his side, it was then that Ethan’s eyes met the barista’s, who’s brown hues widened in shock, realisation and fear. When the poor boy disappeared, scurrying into the back of the cafe, you rolled your eyes and leaned your head against Ethan’s shoulder. “You can be a real arse, you know that right?”. Ethan hummed, kissing the top of your head “Tell me something I don’t know, but no one messes with you”.
Kelly Severide
Tumblr media
Just as your relationship with Kelly was starting to get back on its feet, the world had decided to throw you a curveball. You had been tending to a patient who had come in last week, who fell from a great height and managed to break two vertebrae in his lower back. Every chance he got, he flirted with you non-stop, to the point where it was getting on your nerves. His pick-up lines were crude, they weren’t romantic at all, and you wanted nothing more than for him to get better as soon as possible. One such shift, Kelly entered the ED and ran into Maggie, explaining that he was here to take you out to lunch. “Before you do that, you might wanna rescue your girl first...” she teased, handing a clipboard off to Ethan who walked past “her patient’s been hitting on her every single visit, and I have a bad feeling that she’s going to snap any second now”. Without wasting a second, Maggie pointed him in the direction of Trauma 3, where Kelly spotted you talking to your patient with your arms folded over your chest. “I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in going out with you” Kelly heard you say, to which your patient rolled his eyes. Now Kelly wasn’t usually the jealous type, he was more protective. He was the type that wanted everybody else to know that you were his girlfriend. Before your patient could make another snide comment, Kelly decided that enough was enough. He knocked on the glass pane of the door, smiling brightly as you turned to face him. Your shoulders sagged with relief, a long sigh escaping you. “Kelly, thank god...” you spoke loudly, watching as he entered the ward with his hands tucked innocently into the pockets of his jeans. “I just came off a call, and I thought to myself, why not take the woman I love out to a beautiful lunch...” he began, now wrapping his arm protectively around your waist and pulling you into his side. You knew what he was doing, and you couldn’t help but smirk out of knowing and embarrassment. “I’m sorry, who are you?” Your patient interrupted obnoxiously, his glare zeroing in on Kelly. But before you could respond, Kelly’s arm around your waist tightened “I’m Kelly, and she’s taken”. An embarrassed blush formed on your patient’s cheeks, as his gaze suddenly found every inch of the trauma room very intriguing. You laughed, looking up at the man beside you with a smile “Come on, I have about five more minutes and then I’ll meet you out front, okay?”. Kelly nodded, placing a kiss to your temple in good measure and disappeared from the ED, waving to Maggie triumphantly as he passed.
Matthew Casey
Tumblr media
If Matt was jealous, he did a good job at hiding it. But sometimes, he would slip up, meaning that his jealousy was out in the open for you to see. He tried not to be irked by the guy in the corner booth, who was practically eyeing you up and down. But he just couldn’t, and you could tell that Matt was struggling. You knew that the guy had been staring at you since you walked in. To be honest, it kind of creeped you out, but you found it adorable that Matt was trying so hard not to do anything he would likely regret later. In the two months the two two of you had been dating, you knew Matt wasn’t one to openly display his jealousy. Placing your hand on top of his from across the table, you met Matt’s gaze with a warm smile “Did you want to go somewhere else? I really don’t mind if we do”. Matt shook his head “No, no it’s okay, I’ll just keep pretending that it doesn’t bother me, and we’ll have a good day”. You laughed, rolling your eyes as you stood up from your seat, swinging your bag over your shoulder before urging Matt to stand. He did so with a a confused expression, smiling faintly as you stood in your tip-toes to reach him. But his smile grew as you placed your lips against his in a soft and slow kiss. The cafe was fairly busy, so no one was really taking notice of this affectionate display. All except the guy at the corner booth, who’s gaze now focused on the constantly moving world outside. When you pulled away, you smiled brightly “Come on, we’ll have coffee at my place”. Matt chuckled, nodding his head in agreement “I’d like that very much”.
Blake Gallo
Tumblr media
A patient you had saved from an overturned car had been coming to see you every single day for the past two weeks. For the first couple of days, you thought it was really sweet. But when he constantly tried to ask you out, that was when you began to grow annoyed. One particular day, you had been working on Truck 81. Herrmann had broken something before blaming it on Cruz, and no one really wanted to fix it. So here you were. And at the same time every single day, your former patient arrived. But while you were oblivious to his arrival, a certain young firefighter was. Blake couldn’t stand the guy, and boy did everyone know it except you. As you lay beneath Truck 81, Blake made his move as the guy approached, under pressure now as Matt, Kelly, Herrmann and Mouch watched on with interest. “Hey, you here to see Y/n again?” He asked casually, to which the guy nodded “Yeah, is she around today?”. Blake shook his head, “Listen uh, I’m just telling you now because Y/n’s too nice to tell you this herself, but she kinda has a boyfriend”. He hated how amazing he felt when the guys face fell slightly, but he was completely oblivious to the fact that you were leaning against the 81 out of sight, arms folded over your chest in amusement as Blake said goodbye to your pursuer. When Blake turned to make his way back inside, he froze. There you were, a smug smirk on your face as you tilted your head to the side. “So, who’s this mysterious boyfriend of mine you mentioned, hm?” you asked, biting your lip in wait for his answer. Laughing awkwardly, Blake was lost for words. He looked anywhere but at you, before walking away and disappearing into the firehouse with his head down. You rolled your eyes and shook your head as Cruz appeared by your side. “You know that mysterious boyfriend is him, right?”. Your cheeks flushed a deep red, before you returned to the much needed maintenance on Truck 81.
Jay Halstead
Tumblr media
A new med student had been enrolled at the MED, and it was your responsibility to show him around the hospital. He was to be present when you took care of a patient, so he could learn from you and get a grasp on what life was like at the hospital. The only downside was that every time Will left the room after making sure the two of you were capable of performing a task on your own, he would flirt with you. Relentlessly. Your shift was almost finished for the day, and you were looking forward to the moment when Jay walked through the ED doors, where he would then sweep you off your feet and into a romantic evening of chilling at your apartment with pizza and wine. But until then, you were stuck with Clay. He followed you around like a lost puppy, even when he had nothing else to do. “Come on Y/n, just one date...” he spoke cooly, stepping in front of you and almost making you run into his chest “I promise I’ll make it worth your while”. Trying not to visibly cringe, you stepped around him and continued on “I’m sorry, but I’ve told you before I have a boyfriend, so please can you stop asking” you pleaded, walking past Maggie’s station and placing a clipboard before her. Before Clay could respond, the doors to the ED opened to reveal the younger Halstead. When his eyes met yours, he smiled, and you raced over before wrapping your arms around him. “Wow, hey. Not even a ‘hello’?” he asked jokingly, laughing as you pulled away from him with an awkward smile. When his gaze moved behind you to Maggie, who was in turn pointing to the med student at her desk, Jay put two and two together. So this was the guy you had mentioned. You had told him about Clay about a week ago, but at that point his advancements towards you had been harmless flirtations. But now, his plans had obviously changed. “Come on, let’s just go-” “Hang on...” Jay whispered, his eyes meeting yours with a smirk “do you want him to leave you alone?” he asked with a slight wink. Your eyes widened “Whatever you have planned Halstead, you better not-” Jay suddenly stepped forward, looping his arm around your waist and pulling you against him as he kissed you deeply. You smiled against his lips, pulling away with a light laugh. Jay grinned “Now we can go” he mused happily, waving goodbye to Maggie as you both left the MED with now sign of Clay anywhere.

The Fierce And Broken
1.04
Masters
Notes: Y/N and Raven finally meet, even though it’s only a small and brief interaction in this chapter. As I’ve said before, this will be a slow burn until season two.
The only noise that could’ve heard on the third level of the drop-ship was the sounds of you sobbing. You had claimed up to get some privacy while processing everything that had happened.
Wells and Charlotte were both dead, but most important to you Murphy was gone.
“Bellamy, stop! You'll kill him!”
The image of Bellamy almost beating Murphy to death was an image you were afraid you’d never forget. It was forged into your mind.
“Bellamy please!” You begged. They hung Murphy from a tree for murdering Wells, and the only thing stopping him from dying was the box underneath him. “Please! You can stop this! You know he didn’t do it!”
“Hey, it’s just me.” A soft voice said. You looked up to see Monty, he came and sat down beside you. “Clarke and Finn left a while ago.” Clarke and Finn bailed? What a surprise. “We don’t need to talk about it. I just wanted to see how you are doing.”
“Thanks, I’ll be fine.” You sniffed. Monty was a kind person, he was always looking out for his friends. “So...” you said with a smile, “who’s the girl you like?”
His face blushed. “Uhh, what girl?”
You gave him a knowing look. “Just give her time.”
Monty sighed as you leaned your head against his shoulder. You listened to him tell you stories about all the times he and Jasper got into trouble on the ark.
______
Hearing a strange noise, you headed outside the drop-ship, with Monty close behind you.
You looked up at the sky to see something coming in fast. Eventually you looked away hearing Octavia calling for her brother. Bellamy emerged from his tent topless, with Roma and Bree by his position. You pulled a face of disgust and turned away.
Two figures appeared on either side of you, Jasper nudged you. “What’s going on?”
“I’ve no idea.” You confessed. As you stood talking about what it could be, none of you realised how much time had passed until Octavia walked out of Bellamy’s tent. “Hey O, what’s going on?”
“My brother is a jerk.” You tried not to laugh at her comment. “He says it’s too dangerous to leave tonight, so we need to wait until dawn.”
You frowned at the news. By the time your people reached...whatever had fallen from the sky, it’ll probably already be gone. It was strange to you that Bellamy was putting it off.
“Alright, I guess I’ll see you guys in the morning then.” You said before returning to your tent for the rest of the night.
______
From the moment you woke up, you knew something was different. It took you a few moments to realize what it was. Your wristband was missing. How was that possible? You had it on when you went to bed... Bellamy Blake.Son of a bitch. You quickly got dressed and stormed out of your tent, not even bothering to close the flaps behind you.
“Hey, Alba. How did you sleep?” Octavia asked cheerily. Her smile faltered when she noticed the look on your face.
You held up your bare wrist. “Any idea where Bellamy is?”
She scoffed, “in his tent with one of his many...friends.”
“Mind if I kill him?” You suggested in a laugh. You and Bellamy not liking each other was one thing, but he had crossed the line.
Likewise, you and Octavia both headed over to his tent and pushed the flaps open. Seeing nothing but a sleeping Roma you both backed out quietly. Sighing you ran your fingers through your hair.
Octavia tried her best to comfort you. “It will be alright, hopefully Monty will be able to contact the ark and let them see we are alive.”
“Yeah. It’s just I don’t want my dad to worry, you know? I’m all he has left.” You confessed. The idea of your father thinking you’re dead left a horrible taste in my mouth.
“Tell you what,” Octavia interrupted your trail of thought. “I’ll go one way, and you go the other?”
“Deal.”
______
“Bellamy, you son of a bitch!” You yelled, getting his attention.
He turned and gave you a smug look. You’d been wondering about the forest for a while with no luck, just as you were about to turn back you caught sight of him. “There’s my favorite pretend nurse. What can I help you with?”
Glaring, you shoved Bellamy in the chest, causing his grin to widen. “You had no right to take my wristband off.”
You glanced down at your bare wrists. He shook his head and let out a chuckle, “I didn’t think Roma would actually do it.”
“Excuse me?”
“Roma has a problem with the privileged.” He shrugged. “Not my fault you’re one of them.”
“Privileged? There is nothing privileged about me.” You hissed.
Bellamy took a step closer to you. “Your dads a guard. That makes you one of them in my eyes.”
“It was the gun, wasn’t it?” You asked, already knowing the answer.
He nodded. “I knew it was aguard's gun the moment I saw it.”
“Why didn’t you say anything then? Why keep it to yourself? You could have thrown me to the wolves at any time.”
“I know.” He shrugged. “You helped my sister. Octavia doesn’t have many people watching out for her, and I wanted her to have someone who watched her back.”
“Bellamy Blake? They're looking everywhere for you.” A brunette said, stepping out in front of you.
He sent the girl a death glare. “Shut up!”
You stepped back as Clarke and Finn appeared. All three of them jumped down Bellamy’s throat about the radio he had stolen. You listened to Clarke explain how the oxygen supply on the ark was falling, and how they were about to kill 300 people to give the others more time. The only way they could have communicated with the ark is with the radio.
All you could think about was how you’d never get the chance to see your father again. There had to be something you could do. “The ark doesn’t need to speak to us.” You said, interrupting them. “Not directly.”
The girl whose name you still didn’t know smiled at you. “They just need to know we are here.”
“Could you make a rocket or anything to let them know we are still alive?” You asked.
She nodded. “If we find the radio I might be able to dry it out and make flares with it.”
You turned to face Bellamy. “Here’s look at you Blake, show us where you threw it.”
______
Time passed incredibly slowly as you all waited to see if the flares worked. Looking around camp, you couldn’t help but feel sad watching all the mixtures of emotions of the other kids. Some of them didn’t care what happened to the ark, but some like you missed their parents.
What bothered you most was how alone you felt. You did not know where Octavia was, and Murphy was gone. Monty and Jasper were great guys, but you didn’t have the same friendship with them as you did with John. You could have talked to him about anything, and he wouldn’t have judged you.
Your eyes travelled around camp and landed Finn who was getting his haircut by Raven, your eyes then shifted to the blonde watching them. A part of you felt sorry for Clarke. She seemed clueless to the fact Finn had a girlfriend, but on the other you were still mad as hell at her for banishing Murphy, so your sympathy only went so far.
You liked Raven; she seemed nice. She was a lot smarter than the rest of the delinquents and a total badass when it came to standing up for herself.
Feeling somebody sitting beside you by the campfire, you tilted your head to see it was Bellamy. “I’m sorry, okay. I didn’t really expect Roma was going to take it off you while you slept.”
“Whatever Blake.”
He let out a huff of distraction. “So what? You are just going to stay mad at me as well? I’ve said I’m sorry. I helped find the radio-”
You cut him off. “You think I’m mad about a damn radio?” Bellamy nodded. “Because of you, and one of your crazy girlfriends, my dad thinks I’m dead. You preach about being a great leader but so far all you’ve done is cause a bigger mess.”
“That’s not fair.”
“None of this is fair. You shot Jaha to protect Octavia, my dad joined the guard to protect me. What’s the difference?” Bellamy didn’t say anything. “I actually admire how far you’ve gone to protect your sister.”
Bellamy clenched his jaw. “You’re still mad about Murphy, aren’t you?”
You didn’t answer him. Instead, you looked around for Octavia, ignoring his question. “Speaking of O, any idea where she is?”
Bellamy called out a few times for her but when nobody knew her whereabouts you shared a look of panic. Octavia was missing.

Firen Lhain:  Chapter 807:  Streak:  Part II / III
"I grew up with you, Yang." Ruby said to her, "I know how many boyfriends and girlfriends you've had. I might not be very good at flirting, but it seems like you can't turn it off."
"I don't..." Yang tried to say, but quickly trailed off.
"Who here haven't you flirted with?" Ruby asked.
"We are like all married." Yang shyly voiced.
"And I suppose it was you who brought us all together. I certainly had no idea what to do, but thanks to you I get Jaune And Weiss AND Blake., and, and..."
"You don't have to..." Yang tried to say.
"THANK YOU!" Ruby shouted. "Without you, I-I-I-I... have NO idea what I would have done. You. YOU! are the one that brought us all together. We were all still fighting over Jaune, and each other. Who knows what would have happened if you didn't save us from ourselves!"
"But what does that have to?.." Yang asked.
"You're the one who brought us together!" Ruby shouted, "But you're the one trying to pull us apart. Can't you just be happy for us, Yang? We all know Jaune isn't going to cheat. But you, the only one here with more than one, before, you know, I mean?.." Ruby asked.
"Alright!" Yang shouted, and stood up, "I'm the one most likely to step out, and that's why I'm counting on ALL of you to keep me in line."
"I thought that was Jaune's job?" Ruby asked.
"He'll probably be the one to give me a spanking, but my co-uh-wives, are the ones that need to tell him about it."
"Are you telling me to snitch?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah." Yang said, and nodded.
"Okay, I guess," Ruby voiced, "it IS to Jaune, so I guess I can."
"Thank you, Sis." Yang said, walked over to Ruby and pulled her into a powerful hug. "I'll lay off, sis. Just, you know, keep me safe."
"You too, sis." Ruby replied.
"You, sure you're alright with Aurora, you know?" Yang asked.
The two stepped apart. "I suppose it is, I don't know, rational, or efficient, or whatever to have her live in the closet, and she seems to WANT to live in the closet, and Jaune thinks it's a good idea, and... and I?.. I really don't know. If any of us have a problem, we have to say so, but we can't just go around looking for problems. This is our marriage, afterall. We're all in it, together."
"We're all in RWBY together." Yang said with a smirk.
"But what about Jaune?" Ruby asked.
"He's in us all the time, every night. Except last night, but that's the exeption. I hope."
* * *
Jaune and RWB_ sat on the couches in their suite's antechambre. Yang paced in front of them. She stopped, looking between them. "I just want to apologize for being a bit of a heel for this Aurora-moving-into-our-closet thing."
"I don't know what you're apologizing for?" Jaune asked.
"Being a heel?" Yang asked, "I've been a bitch, you know, attacking everyone?"
"I think it's a serious concern." he stated. "As fun as it might sound, I have no intension of sleeping with anyone else. But that doesn't mean you're wrong to worry about it."
"Even if she, like?," Yang asked, "tried to give you a blowjob?"
"I doubt she would." Jaune stated, and then looked at Weiss, "Unless my Snow Angel told her to, or something."
"Which I have no intension of doing." Weiss stated.
"But what if she did?" Yang asked.
"I would be extremely surprised," Jaune replied, "and probably not know how to react."
"I would have taken leave of my senses." Weiss quipped.
"So?" Yang asked, "I'm just being an ordinary broken girl?"
Jaune pointed at his lap, and Yang looked about nervously. He emphatically pointed and she slowly moved towards him. She looked him in the eyes, but so no clemency there, and so bent over his lap. He pulled down her shorts and panties and started slapping her ass. "You're - not - broken." he said as she slapped her ass. He then pulled her back to her feet before pulling her down to kiss her on the lips. "You are my wife, and I love you. I would not be who I am today without you. There's nothing wrong with being a little jealous, but I have to assure you, you are well worth loving."
"Even more than Ruby?"
"Yang!" Ruby shouted, and Jaune glowered at her. She sighed and leaned back over his legs.
"I am almost certain she is doing this on purpose." Weiss stated.
"Before you spank me," Yang stated, "promise me one thing?"
"Hm?" he asked.
"If I run away, you'll come and get me, and spank me 10 times more?"
"That I can promise." Jaune stated. He then pulled her down beside him, wrapped his arm around her, and pulled her in for a kiss.
"I've got a question?" Ruby asked. Weiss and Blake quickly looked at her. Jaune and Yang looked over when they could finally break each other's gaze. "Alright, if Aurora is Weiss', um, minion?"
"I suppose?" Weiss asked.
"Does that make Ilia, Blake's minion?" Ruby asked.
"We could look at it like that, yeah." Blake stated.
"Does that mean we should let Ilia move in as well?" Ruby asked.
"She raises a valid point." Weiss stated, seemingly lost in thought.
"She, what?" Yang asked.
"Is it weird that I'm starting to understand her logic?" Blake asked.
"Do we really want another girl," Yang asked, "watching us, you know?"
"Implying she has not already?" Blake asked, and Yang started looking around nervously.
"Ilia?" Yang asked, as she turned her head to look around. "Naked butt?"
No one heard anything. "Relax." Blake said, and Yang glared at her, "I saw her spying on Cinder."
"I really don't know what to think about this, so let's vote." Jaune said, "On the assumption she wants to, who's okay with Ilia moving in here? I don't know if she'll be sharing with Aurora or sleeping somewhere else, but in general?"
"Jaune-dear?" Weiss asked, "Perhaps I could clarify?" Jaune sighed and nodded. "Are we comfortable with Ilia moving into the Master Suite, sleeping location yet to be determined, and if she wishes to do so?" Weiss raised her hand. Yang looked over to see Blake's hand already raised. She looked at Ruby who was completely lost. She saw movement and looked over to Jaune, seeing his hand raised.
"Wait, what?" Yang asked, and Jaune shrugged.
"Ilia stalking me has literally saved my life." he simply replied.
"That is a perfectly valid point." Weiss affirmed.
"I... guess..." Yang grumbled. "I mean, yeah, her stalking Jaune HAS been really helpful and all. And she is like nekkid all the time, and Jaune often lets her use our fantabulous bathroom to warm herself after her running around all naked." Yang then hung her head. "Shit, the only thing stopping her from being a sex slave is Jaune."
"And the fact she likes Blake." Ruby interjected.
Yang looked at her questioningly, "Aurora loves Weiss, and told us it wouldn't stop her."
"Would she?" Ruby asked.
Blake sighed, and everyone looked at her.
"Seriously?" Yang asked.
"Not yet." Blake said.
"I really don't like how you said that." Yang said with a scowl.
"I do believe we are forgetting something." Weiss said, and all eyes were on her. She left a dramatic pause before continuing. "That he would not, nor would we accept it if he did."
Blake stood up and walked over to Yang. Yang stood still as she sashayed up, stood beside her, and wrapped her arms around her. "We're a family and a team." Blake warmly stated. "We're not doing anything the others are not comfortable with."
"But, you said?.." Yang asked.
"I know what I said." Blake said with a cheshire grin.
"What did she say?" Ruby asked.
Blake still stared at them with a wide grin. "You'll find out."
"How mysterious." Weiss said, "And vexing." she said with a crossed look.
"Very Blakey." Ruby said with a confused look.
"Blakey?" Weiss asked. "I suppose I can be Weissy, which, if I am correct, or perturbing protection?" Ruby just looked at her with a confused look.
"She nags because she cares." Jaune said.
"Indeed." Weiss affirmed. "Thank you, Jaune-dear. Then, by the same logic, Blake's veiled, vaunted, vexatious, venerated glory."
"I like it." Blake said with glee.
"Contrary?" Jaune asked.
"Yes?" she said with glee.
"Come here." Jaune said to her, and she rushed over.
"Hey!" Yang complained.
"Wanted to pet my kitty-cat." Jaune said, as Blake laid her head in his lap as he pet her head and ears.
"I thought she hated this?" Ruby asked.
"You promised to not do it in front of my parents." Blake simply stated.
"We did." Weiss affirmed.
"Okaaay..." Ruby voiced. "Are we done here? Oh, wait, who's going to ask Ilia?"
"Yang." Jaune said.
"If I might ask, why, Jaune-dear?" Weiss asked him.
"Because she'll try to be nice." Jaune said, "I don't want Ilia to think it's an expectation."
"Why's that?" Ruby asked.
"Hm?" Jaune asked, "Ilia has a bit of a problem following orders."
"I don't know?" Yang asked, "She seems too good at it." Followed as a pause until it dawned on her, "Oh, I got." she said, dropping the left fist like a hammer into her right palm.
"Got what?" Ruby asked.
"Ilia is TOO good at following orders." Weiss said with a wide smile.
"Alright." Yang said, "I'm on it. I'll try to not to be too happy about it."
Jaune blew her a kiss, causing Yang to flush orange. She shook her head and ran away.
Ruby nervously shuffled towards Weiss a foot at a time. Weiss turned to her with a crossed look, causing Ruby to stop. Weiss then lept forward to pull her in for a hug and a kiss.

The airship decended into the glade, hovering a few feet over the ground. Ciel robotically jumped out and landed on the ground, Penthesilea coming out a moment later.
"Are we certain about this?" Ciel asked, and a great, bellowing shout could be heard from the woods.
"You brought a Human into my woods?"
"Ciel Soleil!" Ciel replied.
"I am Penthesilea." Penthesilea stated, and stepped forward. The darkened wood seems to take the shape of a great, black hart.
"You are curious?" the Black Hart said to her. "Why are you in my woods?!"
"I am here to aid my friends." Penthesilea eagerly stated.
"And they are?" the Black Hart asked.
"Friend-Ruby, Friend-Weiss, Friend-Blake, Friend-Yang, Friend-Nora, Friend-Ren, and last but not least Friend-Jaune."
"My Earl?" the Black Hart asked.
"Indeed, Your Majesty." Penthesilea replied and curtsied.
"Have you brought tribute?" the Black Hart asked.
"I am here to aid my friends, so my service is tribute, Your Majesty."
"Very well." the Black Hart stated. He then looked to Ciel, "And the Human?"
"I am here to aid Penthesilea, your, um, majesty?" she asked, and stood to attention to salute.
"And your tribute?" the Black Hart demanded.
"My service to Penthesilea, who serves the Earl." Ciel stated.
"Then you pledge yourself to service to my Earl?" the Black Hart stated.
"So long as Penthesilea remains as well!" Ciel stated.
The Black Hart grumbled for a few moments. "Very well." he said, before vanishing back into the woods.
"Do you realize what you have done?" Penthesilea asked her.
"I have pledged myself to a feudal lord's service for an unlimited duration." Ciel robotically stated, "Perhaps not the wisest choice of actions."
"I'm sure Friend-Jaune would release you from your oath?" Penthesilea asked.
"He might, but I take my promises seriously." Ciel said and turned to Penthesilea. "As of this moment, I am his vassal, so long as he will take me."

PART 10 – Domestication
Yang blinks awake. She wonders why her pillow is so dense until she realizes that she's patting down Jaune's chest. Her hand is dangerously close to his waistband.
She wants to move but can't. Below her, her hands run through the threads of someone's dark red hair. Ruby wriggles at the touch. She'd come back a week earlier. In time for the dance but she'll be gone again when it's over.
It's like her baby sister is slipping out of her hands. She wants to scream and shout. To demand that Ozpin give her back… but he wasn't the one who could make that decision for her. Her dad had made it clear, Ruby is the only one who gets to choose, and she chose Ozpin.
She dreads to think on what Ruby's actually chosen. What she'd picked over everything else. Her friends, her family, her team, maybe even her dreams of being a huntress.
Yang bites her lip. Ruby isn't a huntress-in-training anymore either. She's licensed and fully-fledged. Has jobs and is on record as the youngest to join an academy and the youngest to graduate.
Peeling back her bangs, Yang spots the scar running along her forehead. It's deep and an ugly pinkish-red. Jaune asked where she got it. She'd gotten too close to a behemoth and got clipped trying to dodge its tusk. She'd killed it, somehow. She wouldn't tell how, just that she did. If she really tried, Yang could probably extract the story from her; global secrecy or no. But she can't. Won't.
Suddenly respecting her privacy feels like a vice on her lungs.
Ruby grabs Yang's hand suddenly. She's still and her breathing is rapidly pouring out of her, but then Ruby tugs the arm into her chest and nuzzles into it.
It's like they're eight and ten again, when Yang would spend the day working herself to exhaustion to make sure Ruby had a fulfilling day, only to collapse in her arms. Then and only then did Yang permit her little ten-year-old self to breathe, rest easy, then finally sleep. She recollects it like a blur of sweat and aches she was entirely too young to have, but now that they've passed, Yang can hardly remember what any of those pains felt like.
How differently could things have gone if she'd had a father and mother to tend to them instead. Maybe not long enough to mind Ruby themselves, but at least long enough to rub her hair and tell her she did good at the end of the day.
Calloused hands run through her hair. She looks up to see Jaune spying her out of one eye.
"You're getting that scary, thoughtful look on you again." Not quite the loving encouragement she'd expected, but close enough. "I'd warn against developing some early wrinkles but I can't help but feel they'd look good on you too."
She laughs. "You can't be serious. Were you checking out my mom?"
"Pfft! Sure. Let's go with that." She rolls her eyes. He ruffles her hair. "But in all seriousness, you can't blame a guy for admiring that kind of craftsmanship." His thumb runs slowly down her cheek. "They chiseled you out good. You have all their best parts."
She blushes but pushes the feeling down. "God, Jaune, were you checking out my dad too?" she teases but her eyes widen at his brief pause. "Oh my god."
He waves it off. "It's nothing like that. Despite looking like he could bench-press a truck, your dad still manages to look the least threatening when he's got some alcohol in him. I had thought that the day I'd meet my girlfriend's dad, I'd be most worried about being hated. Instead, I ended up worrying I'd just disappoint him. Like making him sad was worse than getting him angry."
"Yeah, Dad's got a wounded puppy look on him. I think it's why Zwei listens to him all the time. Like he even makes the dog feel responsible for keeping him happy."
"He's a dangerous man."
"I hope the title is hereditary."
"Ha! What was that you said on our first date? You could total a car, or something? I think that qualifies as dangerous."
"Hm… Is that a turn on or does that make you afraid? Both, maybe?"
"I think I'd qualify as crazy if it was both. Do you qualify as crazy if you're still into me after that?"
"We could be crazy together." Her fingers run circles over his abs. "I could live with that…"
Ruby curls up and covers her ears. "Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross!"
Yang ruffles her hair. "Good morning to you, too,"
"Sleep well?" Jaune asks.
"Too well…" Ruby grumbles. "I don't think I could go back to pillows ever again. Maybe I'll sleep on Zwei or something… No, that doesn't feel right…"
Yang pulls her head up, inching enough along Jaune's chest to rest her head up against his chin. "I think it's the company. Missed your big sister that much, huh?"
Ruby's nose scrunches. "Yeah, I do." She crawls into them and snuggles in. She takes Jaune's hand and tugs on Yang's till they're hugging her now. "I'll miss you all so much when I'm gone…"
The way she words that digs a pit in Yang's chest. She squeezes her a little tighter. Her chest feels hollow for a little longer.
Ruby pulls out and Yang lets her go, but she jerks back a bit cause Jaune hasn't let go. "Sorry…" Jaune says. He looks like he wants to hold on.
"Don't be." The softness of her hands press warmly over his, and her smile shares its qualities. "I'd miss me too." She means it like a joke but it stops showing on her eyes and a frown worms its way into her cheeks. "I have to go get ready."
She glances over to the rest of the bed. Only Blake is there, her back turned to them. "Pyrrha's probably waiting for me downstairs. I'll see you two tonight, alright?" When she's pulling fresh clothes out of her travel bag, she calls out, "If Blake gets up, tell her we'll see her on the bullheads and grab a bite in Vale if she's late!"
JNPR's bathroom door shuts behind her. The door feels tiny from where they are, on the opposite side of a giant bed in the RWBY dorm room. Its distance echoes with the thrum of the muffled shower.
Jaune pulls Yang up and against him. "Sorry about this. I know you were looking forward to going with me."
"You shouldn't have to feel sorry for giving my sister a good time," she says. He can tell that she means it. "She's going to miss you too, and this might be her last chance to feel like a normal girl for a change. Besides, it's only sophomore year. We'll still have plenty of school dances to go to."
"I guess… Save me a dance?"
"I think I'll need a little more than one."
The distant pattering of the shower is notable when it stops in the quiet of the twin rooms. Jaune eyes Blake and realizes that her bow is on. "Didn't Blake stop wearing that?"
Yang shifts over his stomach and realizes how broad her outline is. "I don't think that's her."
They share a look before poking her in the head.
Ren groans and swats his hand away. He wiggles out and takes off the wig he's wearing, scratching his head.
They snort. "That's a good look for you," they say, realize they've said it at the same time, and high-five.
He groans again. "That's never not going to be weird."
"Not as weird as you in a wig," Jaune says.
Yang notices he's in Blake's pajama top too, sagging off his shoulder since it's so much smaller. "…Or in her nighties."
"It's called a jinbei." Ren shakes his head. "Before you ask, I lost a bet."
Jaune shrugs. "We figured. Not like we expected you to wear that for fun or anything."
He pulls on the delicate fabric. "Aside from the wig, it's very comfortable."
"Oh, I'll bet."
Ren rubs his eyes. "Jaune…"
He throws his hands up. "I'm kidding! … Not really. You want one in your size?"
"…Yes." He blushes which is weird cause Ren doesn't blush. But he does and it's adorable. They snap a picture. He can only summon the energy to scowl for a breath's length. "I should get going too."
"Why are you up so late anyhow?"
He blushes and he doesn't bother answering. They don't need one anyway.

The echoed bass of this year's dance bounces off the walls of the hallway just outside of reception.
Yang hasn't been on a dance floor in months and now the sounds feel alien. She used to attribute clubbing as a part of her, even as a freshman who could pass for eighteen. Breaking it down, it's clear that she only went out there to have fun. And she's been having a lot of fun elsewhere this year.
"I don't really wanna go in there," Oscar says beside her as they make their way to reception. They're both wearing green, to match hues with her eyes and to contrast his. "I'm starting to get dizzy on just the sounds of it."
"You get used to it," she says. "It's mostly just sensory overload. Just let it sink in and you'll hardly even register the music. It's meant to be white noise anyway so no one has to talk in silence."
"So it's, what, a social tool? Like a distraction?"
"Most of partying is. For all the awkward folks, it means they can hide behind something else while they get their wings. For the rest of us, the ones who've got it down, it lets us keep going. Longer than the night sometimes."
"I never thought of it that way."
She pats him on the shoulder. Even in flats, she's so much taller than him. "Try not internalize it too hard. It's easier when you're letting a conversation happen instead of trying to force any advice you hear into it."
"And if I end up in awkward silence with someone?"
"Then maybe you aren't talking to the right people. Take Ruby for instance." She points ahead of them, at Jaune and Ruby dressed in red together. They're talking and laughing. "You ever have a conversation just stop when you talk to her?"
"Yeah."
"Then she isn't the right people." She catches Ruby's glare but she goes back to Jaune pretty quickly.
"Uh… Oh! You're joking!" Oscar exclaims.
"Whoa! Hey! Don't take me seriously all the time. Half of me is comedy."
"It's often bad!" Jaune calls back.
"Shut up!" Yang giggles. "I have the worst boyfriend," she whispers loudly. Jaune pretends to be wounded by it.
"So…" Oscar rolls his hands. "I'm getting mixed signals here. Is it okay to have awkward silence?"
"Yeah! I mean… I guess had a bad example. It's okay if a conversation stops, but not when it drops."
He squints. "I feel like you're deliberately confusing me."
"I'm just not the most articulate person. Not like I learned to be social on a quotable handbook or anything. So when you talk to someone on something you're interested in, like, say, coffee –"
"-Or milk."
"Or milk. Yeah, let's got with that. Say you like skim milk – you monster –" he laughs cause he does, "then you know you've found someone you can talk to if they don't try to derail the conversation once they find out."
"Cause I brought up skim milk?"
"Cause they're still interested in talking even after you mention it. Someone you can talk to might agree and keep at it, or disagree but wants to hear your side of why you like it so much. Someone you can't talk to will try to change the topic after finding out what you like or not about something."
"I thought it was all about finding things in common."
"I think it's just as interesting if you don't. I hate Seven Rapids cause they're all noise and not even music to me, but that's precisely why Jaune loves them. Jaune and his sister used to be afraid of thunder, so when a storm hit their hometown, it was the only band they could listen to on the same pair of earphones without having to block out the other ear with something."
"That doesn't sound like he particularly likes it either."
"But it's a story I wouldn't have heard otherwise if I switched gears! Now we know each other a little better."
The bass thumps in their ears after they sign on in the registry and come through the doors. Blake is already dancing with Penny, Sun and Pyrrha are expectedly missing, and Nora is a having a subdued moment with Ren by the punch bowl.
"Ruby?" They're instantly stopped by Cardin Winchester of all things. His date, Velvet, trails behind him and crashes into Ruby first.
"You're back!" Velvet cheers. "For how long?"
"Not very," she says sheepishly.
"That big a deal, huh?" Cardin guesses. He continues before she can get uncomfortable. "We missed you at Leadership. Jaune cried."
Jaune rolls his eyes and lets it be… For an entire second. He punches Cardin in the arm and they laugh.
"I missed you guys too. Even the class. Ugh! Can you believe I miss waking up early for class?"
"I miss that feeling too," Velvet agrees. "When you're Juniors and Seniors, you lose half your classes and you're not even expected to attend most of your sessions. We're usually out on the field taking low threat missions. Even a noisy classroom is quieter than the woods."
Ruby rubs the back of her head. "I kind of know what that's like now, actually."
Jaune and Yang trade looks. Oscar tries not to look them in the eyes.
"We should get going," Cardin says, reading the room. "We'll catch up later." Velvet takes him by the arm and waves off.
Ruby, like Oscar, doesn't look them in the eyes either.
"It's okay!" Yang says soothingly, her a voice a titter with a laugh. "We won't pry. Just happy you're here."
"C'mon," Jaune says, taking Ruby's hand, "let's see how well Oscar taught you how to dance."
Ruby slaps a hand to her lips, trying feebly to hide her blush. "The punch bowl first, please. If it's spiked, I can pretend to be good at anything."
"Not a chance," Jaune teases. He kisses Yang on the cheek before leaving her with Oscar.
"He really is the worst," Oscar says, sarcasm bleeding off his cheek. "He's so sickeningly sweet. Wanna trade dates? I'd take him."
Yang slaps him on the back. "Ha! That's the spirit. I can see you're getting more comfortable."
Oscar shrugs. "I think you're just easy to talk to. We should go, too. I'm starving."

Ruby might have been right about the punch. Nora is loud and all over the place, but Oscar remembers a few stories about her and asks, "Is this how she normally is?"
Ren laughs, it's quiet and patient. He sounds older than he looks. "I don't think she qualifies for normal."
Nora crashes into a few people he doesn't recognize but they laugh and stand her up. They're all friends here. Or maybe Nora just has that effect on people.
"Here." Ren is standing in front of him with a plate of sushi, a black dip of some sort, and what looks like green clay. "Try one of these."
"You ever have these in Mistral?" Yang asks.
"Only the cities. Funny how my first time with it will be in Vale of all places."
Ren demonstrates with chopsticks, expertly grabbing the rolled sushi, dipping, then grabbing a dab of the clay before inserting it into his mouth. "Now you try."
Oscar takes a fork, stabs the sushi, dips it, end curves the fork's teeth into the clay-like thing, and shoves it in his mouth. He can only register Ren's panic when it's already too late.
"You took too much wasabi," he breathes.
Yang is already grabbing a cup from the punch bowl. Oscar's mouth explodes in heat. Then the rest of the night is a blur.

Ruby was right. Someone did spike the punch.
By now it's too late and they devolve into a flurry of laughter and dancing. No one seems to care that there's suddenly alcohol present, but a cursory glance reveals that the staff isn't even present. Coco does mention seeing Ozpin and Glynda alone in the plaza, and much of the staff was huddling in the dark trying to eavesdrop on them. Seems mischief is ageless.
Jaune and Yang don't dance. Ruby is too important for them to let the night be about them, so they dance with her instead. She's at least thankful that Jaune chose to lead her in a slow dance. She doesn't think she can keep up with him otherwise. Yang, on the other hand, is an expert on matching her pace. She's her big sister after all.
Oscar doesn't get to dance with her either but he's fine with that. What he isn't fine with is being completely hammered by one watered-down drink. Yang thinks its funny how similar he is to Jaune but the similarities end there. He gets swung around by Nora on the dance floor and the alcohol doesn't help.
Remembering this night mostly comes out as a thousand flashes. Their scrolls roll the whole night, and the photos flood the memory banks like they'll struggle to remember this night when it's over. Which doesn't happen because the alcohol doesn't make them drunk. Unlike Oscar, all the alcohol just serves as an excuse for everyone else to let loose.
Joan shows up in a dress and everyone has flashbacks of first year. Ruby jokes loudly about Jaune filling the dress out real well this time and most people momentarily forget that Jaune has a twin sister.
Somewhere down the line, they pour out of the dance and sing off-key in the garden, count stars in the courtyard, and then they're out on the roof where half their class has turned up for a grill off.
Jaune and Nora get so into it that they're scared out of themselves when Cardin shows up in an apron and a grill of his own. Yang remarks that Weiss would have loved the smell.
Oscar kisses Penny and Ruby doesn't know what to do with that. Yang lets her figure it out cause she's growing up and she can ask her whenever she's ready.
Nora's corsage gets caught in the wind somehow and Ruby jumps into action. She weaves through the crowd in a stream of red and rose petals. She's over the railing and she shows no fear as she leaps off the edge and curls over the shattered moon with the pink flower in her hands. Her smile is stunning, her confidence brimming off her cheeks.
Jaune and Yang hold hands at the sight. She's a burst of beauty that steals hearts.
There's a cheer when she effortlessly blurs back and falls into the crowd. She doesn't think what she does is anything special, but it is. She is. And everyone knows it.
And just when their spirits are highest, it rains.
Ruby doesn't leave the roof when it does. Her friends stay with her, Jaune and Yang especially. The look in her eyes tells them that she's barely holding something back.
They stand with her, letting the chipped pieces of them fall apart together so Ruby doesn't feel like she's alone. She tells them she's afraid. They tell her they are too. But fear doesn't get to take residence, it doesn't get to loiter and sink into the upholstery. They'll kick and scream until it's gone cause they never go down without a fight.
It sounds like they're all struggling blindly, but Yang tells her that defiance is only the first step. And that also makes it the most important.
In a moment of solidarity, Ruby screams at the top of her lungs as the rain hides her tears and her friends drown out her pain with defiant roars of their own.
And in the next she's on a bullhead, barely out of her dress, and she disappears in a sea of stars.

It's the weekend again, and Yang convinces Jaune to come to the apartment for the day. Walking back into it feels like a lifetime has passed him by. There's a layer of dust on everything and he resists the urge to wipe it all down. He can't spend the one day they're here this month cleaning. Maybe next month when he's got the lien to cover his half of the rent.
No, that's an excuse. He could just as easily ask for an advance on his allowance or pick up an extra mission to cover the gap. He wanted to push them both to stay in the dorm, but when Yang pushes passed him with a box full of last night's freshly developed photos, he can see the forced curl of her cheek that's just a little too wide.
Ruby's been again for a week. She might not come back. Yang needs a breather to reconcile with that.
She plops the box down on the coffee table as Jaune sorts out their dinner across the room in the kitchenette.
"Anything good?" he asks.
She waves a photo in the air. "You in a dress!"
"Ha, well… Wait, no, I didn't do that this year! That's Joan!"
"Pfft! Not when I post it and tag you. I expect continued confusion from the campus."
"Yang…"
"C'mon, it's funny!"
He tosses an orange in a basket and reminds himself to eat it later. It's not gonna stay ripe if they leave it behind. In his head, it suddenly sounds like a shitty metaphor. "You're allowed to be sad about Ruby leaving, y'know?"
She chuckles and whips back to him. "So are you."
He doesn't know how to answer that. He spent a lot of that night dreading her leaving but he hadn't expected her to up and go before midnight even hit. It's still jarring, unreal even. Like he could walk back onto campus and bump into her, cause that night was a blur and he might have just dreamt it ending the way it did.
A hip bumps into his, and he drops the pork chops back onto the counter. Yang doesn't look sorry but she hides her face in his chest and he lets her hold onto him.
"It feels like I'm still halfway down a landslide. With my parents and uncle are off to god-knows-where, and Weiss and Neptune fighting for the soul of her company, it felt inevitable that Ruby would just… follow after. And it's a little scary, y'know? I don't know when all of this stops. I don't know if I'm gonna keep losing people." She doesn't cry, but her chest feels tight. "It's like I'm either waiting to see who's next or if I'm gonna crash when I hit the bottom…"
She'd been putting up a strong front, but her bravado feels like it's slipping, and she already feels like it's going to break her. Finding JNPR had stemmed the tide. She even thought she might stop slipping altogether but then Ruby comes and just goes into the night…
Jaune's pulls out his scroll and she can hear him clicking. She only then realizes that his other hand is squeezing carefully on her waist.
"What are you doing?"
"Finding people."
"What? Who?"
He brings the scroll close to his face. There's a call and it goes through almost immediately. It's a voice she doesn't recognize but she can guess who it is. She's already familiar with the stories about her.
"Hey, runt!" comes a woman's voice. "Caught me at a good time. Coral's burning the eggs again and she could use a few pointers from her big brother." Yang can practically feel her wink.
"It's nice to see you too, Sable. You're the eldest in the house now, don't you know how to cook it?"
There's a snort on the other end of the line. "Please. Wouldn't know my way around the kitchen unless I crashed a car into it. And even then I'd only familiarize myself with the quickest exit."
Jaune groans. "You can't keep getting take-out and engorging everything your pit crew gets you. One of these days you're gonna regret never learning from mom. At least Coral's trying."
"Well, Coral doesn't have a job."
"Hey, I totally have a job!" a muffled voice shouts.
"And besides, the track keeps me busy."
Yang mumbles into Jaune's chest. "That sounds like an excuse to me…"
Jaune laughs.
"Jaune… who was that?"
"She's the reason why I called you in the first place." He's already propping his scroll up against a bundle of uneven loaf.
"Ooh! Do we finally get to meet this elusive girlfriend of yours?"
Yang sucks in a breath. It feels like she's stepped into a different space altogether and she's nervous now for very different reasons.
"Girls, this is Yang."
"Hi there." Yang hopes she doesn't sound awkward.
On the screen is a set of huddled blondes all crashing to get a view through the screen. In the middle is the cheeky one she guesses is Sable. Unlike her sisters, her hair is red fading into blonde tied in a braid over her shoulder. "Hey yourself. I'm Sable. I heard you're good with bikes. We should talk. Grease monkey to grease monkey."
Another blonde in a bob cut and glasses pushes into her cheek. "God… hi. You're so pretty. Are you sure you're a huntress? Jaune, please don't let this be a prank." She seems all over the place.
"That's Coral," Jaune supplies. "Don't mind her. She'll make proper sentences when she starts calming down."
A dark-skinned girl with dirty blonde hair is pushed into view. Yang remembers Jaune mentioning having an adopted sister with dirty blonde hair. The dark hues accent her and it's all the more stunning when some of the white strands she has makes it clear that all that hair natural. "Ahem, I'm Dahlia," she says with the tiniest smile. She looks fourteen but she doesn't sound it.
She tilts her head to the side revealing another fourteen-year-old hiding behind her. "And this is Liona."
"Uhm!" Liona nearly screams, "H-hi!"
"Is she alright?" Yang asks.
Sable waves it off. "Oh, it's nothing really. She's just -"
"See?!" Liona points at the screen, looking at the other girls. "It's another blonde! The curse is real!" And she's gone.
Dahlia sighs and gets up. "I'll go after her. It was nice meeting you, Yang."
"She's polite."
Sable shrugs. "Grew up in a strict house. We're still trying to shake it out of her but enough about that, why don't you tell us how you got all that hair to behave? Mine spazzes out if I don't tie it down and there's only so many ways to tie long hair before I have to cut it down."
Yang starts going on about products she uses and Jaune slowly starts slipping away. There's an excitement brimming off her cheeks, a confidence to bury any embarrassment she might have had. It's like she's not even here anymore. She's in Clove with his sisters.
He feels a tightness on his wrist. Yang gives him a dangerous look. "Oh, no way, buster. You're staying here so I don't collapse in on myself." She tugs him in and wraps an arm around his.
They're shocked when another voice comes in. "We'll aren't you two cute," says Helia, Jaune's mom as she peeks over Sable's shoulder.
The afternoon is a blur of conversation. Bikes and Cars are both similar and different enough that Yang and Sable get along quick with always something interesting to add.
Coral has a distinct fascination with Yang's hair and has non-stop questions. It's got loose strands and is the furthest thing from perfectly straight but Yang makes it work somehow and Coral has an intense need to know how. Jaune just calls it Xiao Long magic.
Liona and Dahlia, despite being respectively excitable and largely subdued, ask Jaune and Yang both about being huntsmen. Yang catches the way Dahlia's eyes go a little wide at the excitement and terror of their stories, and Jaune never fails to point out every time Liona chews her lip like she can't decide if being a huntress is for her. He lets her sort it out until she's ready to talk about it.
The only sister Yang hasn't met yet is Cori, the second eldest, and that's cause she's in Atlas. Jaune notes that she's keeping an eye on Weiss and Neptune for them. They stop the conversation when Sable tells her that they're really allowed to talk about it.
Helia – she still insists on Aunt Hess but Yang's still getting the hang of it – reminds them that they promised to have dinner with her and her husband.
And when it's all over and they wave their goodbyes, Yang's eyes are as bright as she remembers. "I wanna meet them," she says when they're on the couch.
"This summer then. I was planning on coming home. Sable might have to run a summer circuit for her sponsors but she'll still catch us. And Cori will be there for a week. We can even get Saph to come join us."
"Yes. That. Please?"
He pulls his scroll off the coffee table. "Alright, alright. Calm down. It's happening. Let me just drop Cori a line so we can figure out when it's best."
She hugs him. "Thank you," she whispers.
"For what? I only called up my sister."
"For this. Them. All of it. I really needed to get out of my own headspace."
"Back to Remnant?"
"Not quite. It still hurts. Just a little. I can't shake the feeling."
He gently pushes her away, grabs her waist, and thumbs her cheek. "Maybe a classic distraction will suffice."
She giggles. Her cheeks are warming up. "I missed this. Just you and me."
They press their lips together. She pulls him down with her against the armrest of the couch.
While he's holding her steady by the waist, her own hands can't seem to settle anywhere. One minute she's clutching the back of his head grabbing a fistful of hair, the next she's tugging on his shirt and stretching the fabric. Now she's on his neck, pulling him in.
He loves the way she tastes. Practically devours her lips until he coaxes her into his biting his.
He gasps and that hungry look in her eyes tells him that wants him to sing for her. His eyes are dangerous in response, pulling away only to bury his face in her neck. She shuts her eyes and expects him to bite, to mark her like they do every time, but he's suckling and her skin feels like it's getting more sensitive.
"Ah…!" She bites her lip. She wants him to keep going but she also wants him to do more. Her fingers curl into the back of his neck. Arching her back to the sensations bursting from his ministrations, she hisses before whispering, "bite me."
She can feel the way hot breath pouring out of his nostrils as she says that. You're a dangerous woman, he'd all but said. And with the look he gives her in the periphery, she can't help but feel him saying it with his eyes. He bites down and her back arcs again. Its soft and he's suckling at the same time. She wonders how that would feel on other parts of her body.
When she's curling into him, she gasps as her limbs act without her consent. Her arms wrap around his shoulders and her legs bend and clasp around his waist. She's already off the sofa and hanging off of him entirely.
"Yang…" he breathes. They pull back enough for her to see the manic look in his eyes. There's nothing coy about it. It's just hunger. Need. And after everything they've been through, she knows she wants it too.
He's looking down at her as he settles his breathing and lays her back on the couch. She doesn't let go, only now his weight is on her. As meek as she looks, he has to tell himself that she can take it, but the innuendo sparks dangerous images in his mind. It doesn't help that she's a hot, sweating mess.
She feels him pull a tent in his pants. It's nothing new. She'd even teased him about it now, but it's not out of place here.
Daring herself to look at it, she spies it in the space between their legs. It feels taboo to even bear witness, but in her half-hearted attempt to look away, she instead finds the tear in his shirt just at the collar. She doesn't know if she caused it, somewhere in all the tugging and moaning, it must have happened. In the afternoon sun, it's a clear sight line from his chest to his stomach. Sweat trails down there too and it drives her wild to follow it down.
His hand settles experimentally on her belly.
She looks up at him. His askance stare and bated breath do not need words. She nods.
It trails carefully downwards, delicate even at the shallow scratch of his nails. It feels like he's uncoiling tension bundled in her abs, and every line is a full, happy sigh sung from her lips.
He can't stop staring at his hand as it seems to go on forever over the valley of her stomach. A hand is on his cheek. He meets her eyes and she seems to dare him not to look away from her. Her other hand wraps around his wrist and guides it till snags at the hem of her shorts.
His breathing betrays him. It's practically telegraphing the tremors dancing in his chest. He doesn't want to scare her. The way she jumped back the first time they got this close still sends the wrong kind of shiver down his arm like he might burn her if he tried.
But she isn't afraid. Her eyes are half lidded, her breath staccatos but its even. Her hand tugs at his wrist again.
He undoes the button.
She gasps.
His finger traces the zipper.
She bites her lip.
A hint of panic settles in cause he needs to see what he's doing but he can't look away from her. She has no trouble staring at him herself. It's like she's in a trance and all she's interested in watching is him. So he swallows his fears and kisses her again. Her lips are welcoming but her tongue is a tidal wave that swallows him whole.
It emboldens him. Lets his fingers push passed the zipper and straight over the thin bit of cloth behind it. The fabric is like his own. Nothing special. Plain and normal, and makes him laugh against her lips and she laughs with him.
Her hand pulls his wrist over her crotch. His fingers graze the unshaven hairs down there. Then she lets go of his hand and trusts that he'll figure out the rest.
He does.
His hand is so much larger than her own. That's what she first thinks when his digits span over her southern hairs and inch its way down. He has to pull his chest away from hers to get an angle that doesn't twist his wrist, but she doesn't stop moaning into his mouth.
A heated line draws sidewards from his hands, like her legs are tugging closed along the path his hand into her mound. She welcomes it. There's no alarm bells in her head. She wants to bring him there and trap him
She's okay with this.
And when his fingers smooth over her entrance and finds exactly where to make first contact, her heart's already ramming into the walls of her chest. She wants it. A bite of his lip. Bodies press firmly together. She's already trapped him down there.
She wants it. She wants it. She wants it!
Yang pulls away. He's shocked out of her nethers. His fingers are still wet.
"Yang… I'm – I'm sorry, I –"
She closes into him and shoves his damp hand into his mouth. "How do I taste?" she asks, voice hot on his neck. Inside, she's screaming because it would have been sexier to taste it herself. Then again, she isn't sure she wants that.
"Like you," he breathes against the back of her neck.
She laughs. "What's a girl supposed to take away from that?"
"Because like everything else about you, it makes me want more."
The hammering in her chest has evened out. "I want this. You. All of it."
"Then what happened?"
"Nothing. I'm not scared. I don't even know why I was in the first place anymore."
"Is that what happened? Did it bother you? Not knowing why?"
She doesn't need to answer. Instead she pulls away, kisses his lips, and tells him, "The Aries."
"My car?"
"Yes. Could you go and get the installment cleared and… maybe grab us dinner? Please?" She doesn't want to have to say that she needs a bit more time to figure this out, but he's already kissed her and is at the door.
"Later?" he asks.
She nods, a giddiness worming its way into her cheeks. "Later. I'll be ready when you come home."
He loves that look on her. He'd kiss her again if he didn't have to go.

Blake gets a call from Yang. She has to pull away from Ren and Nora on the beanbag. She's barely dressed as it is (Nora's slovenly habits are starting to rub off on her) and she isn't sure she's ready to answer any questions Yang might have about what's going on between them.
"Yang?"
"Blake! Uh… did you just get out of bed?"
She glances at her roommates. Nora's waggling her brows and Ren has that tiny smile of his that is somehow far more embarrassing. "Something like that. What about you? Do I even need to ask about the fresh hickey?"
Yang is silent for a moment. "I almost had sex with Jaune."
Her eyes widen hysterically. "Almost? What happened?"
"I needed to sort some things out." Her eyes narrow. "Look, we're gonna meet again in an hour or two, but before then, I need to bounce the last few months with my best friend."
Blakes gives her a good-natured sigh. "Fine," she says with a smile she can't stop, "give me the whole story."
"It all started on the day I was born."
"Yang!"
"I'm… I'm only half joking."
-0-
It's sundown when he gets home. He half expects scented candles, ambient music, thick makeup, and lingerie. But there's none of that. She isn't even in the living room.
"Yang?" he calls out.
His scroll pings.
"Take a shower in the guest room and come meet me in your room, please?" It reads. He takes off his jacket and pulls off his shirt when his scroll pings again. "If you love me, you'll come in only towel. So please love me."
He sprints into the shower.
Minutes later he's mostly dry and standing in his own living room, staring at his bedroom door like it'll fall on him if he even dares to come in to see his probably barely dressed girlfriend.
He knocks.
A moment of silence, but it is quiet enough to hear her take a healthy breath before she gives him a nervous "I'm ready!"
He expects a mountain of nerves. Maybe even another try at the lingerie with a bit of snide confidence beneath a toothy grin. But when he opens the door, he finds a gentle smile sitting up in an igloo of blankets. There's no put-upon anything here. She's not trying to be enticing, or trying to get a rise out of him,
He can only call that look honest.
"Are you cold?" he asks.
The question shocks her into laughter. Cause he's fresh out of the shower and she's been cozy in these sheets for the better part of an hour now. "No, no, I'm plenty warm."
"Could be warmer," he says. He doesn't intend to flirt but it's already out of his mouth and she's matching the nervous, embarrassed smile on his cheeks.
"Maybe. Why don't you come here and find out?"
With the towel wrapped firmly around his waist, he locks the door behind him and crawls onto the bed. He doesn't get any closer though.
Now that he's up close, he can see the silhouette of her bare legs just between the sheets. One of her hands comes out to pull both sides of the sheet together while the other comes to reach for him.
He takes her hand, bare knees touching.
"Hey," he says. And it's goofy, and so like him that it blossoms something in her chest.
"Hey, yourself." She calms her own nerves again and he loves the way the shape of her straightens like she's conquered something again.
He's staring and he knows it but the moonlight is sinking in through the gaps in the blinds and he swears her hair can put gold to shame.
"I've figured out why I was so afraid before," she says.
"Of getting intimate?"
"Yeah…" Her hands are sweating. Her gaze is locked to their hands. "I've already shown you so much of me. I've carved out my deepest fears and fed them to you like I was trying to stuff you full. Cause I didn't like having them in me. Like mom, and us, and Vytal, and now my team… When I'm with you, I already feel exposed. And I'm okay with that. I'm okay with showing you all these sides of me but…"
She looks up at him, and their eyes meet. "I still have secrets." She says it like an apology. "But I'm not about to share my every thought but I find myself speaking my mind around you all the time anyway. I've been open but it's like I can't hide anything from you." She inches closer and her hand on the blankets tightens. "And this? Us? It's like I'm showing you all that's left. I'm no prude. I don't mind showing you a little skin."
He laughs. She doesn't wear much to bed. Not that he does either. "You never really seemed concerned about it, yeah."
"Yeah, but… doing this means I'm giving you something I can't take back or keep for myself. What I'll say or do when we do it will be new secrets and they'll be yours and… I was afraid of that."
Was, she said. He focuses on that.
His fingers run over her knuckles. She fixates on the way his hands are trying to hold her without getting any closer.
"What changed?" he asks.
"You… you showed me that you were just as scared." She remembers the way he was breathing only hours ago, staring down at her like he was scared of hurting her if he kept giving in to what she was offering. "It was like a hundred little things. Adrian, Terra, wanting to ruin your hair like an idiot for me…"
He scratches the back of his head. "I thought I was keeping a brave face on that one."
"Please. I love you but there's no way you were going to be comfortable looking an idiot again no matter how much you say it wasn't going to bother you." She sighs. "It's funny how that made me love you more."
Her smile falls away. "When I was younger, I was used to affection. It was like I had a mom and two dads. They'd dote on me and sing my praises like I could be nothing but spectacular. I couldn't go a day without being smothered by someone's love… Then… Then I lose Summer and dad shuts down. Qrow would try to be there for us and did everything he could while he was around but he always had to go to work. And I kept thinking if I was feeling like this, how did Ruby feel? How much did she feel that she was missing out on? So, I smother her with enough love to make up for everyone else, but every time I did, I was reminded of how much I missing for myself."
"And then we happened and it's not all the making out, or the cuddling, or the hickeys. I was afraid I'd have to give up this apartment cause I was overstaying my welcome, but then you smile at me and… Jaune, do you remember what you said to me that day?"
He's been flush this entire time. "I, uh, no, I don't."
"You told me it was already decided. Like I belonged here and that I never needed to work for it even if I tried my hardest to prove that I did. I didn't need to earn a place here. We were friends and you thought that was already enough."
He squeezes her hand. "It goes both ways, y'know?"
She squeezes back. "Tell me."
"I hated this apartment. When I first got it I thought I'd just bought myself a hole I could hide in while I drown myself." He eyes the walls, and even in the dark he knows where he'd had to plaster over cracks he'd punched into. "And it wasn't like I had anywhere else to go so I couldn't leave. I thought I'd maybe show up at the clubs and find someone else to warm my sheets, but even when I got propositioned, I couldn't dare to drag anyone else into what I'd put myself through."
"Then you showed up and I forgot what those nights even really felt like. It was just you, tearing every sordid, manic page out of my book and putting yourself there instead. It isn't just Terra you replaced it was… everything else. No more cold nights, broken sinks, or empty bottles. Even when things are quiet in the morning, it was nice to remember someone else was there that I had to wake up. It was nice knowing I had to cook for two. It was nice knowing that whenever I had to go out and do something tiring, or frustrating, or stupid… there was always someone waiting for me at home."
He lets go of her and makes for the vanity. A drawer is tugged open. Yang recognizes it as the one Jaune uses to hide the previous tenant's wedding ring box, but that isn't he pulls out of it. It's his flask. He sets there in full view of her. "I haven't needed it in months."
There's warmth against her skin. Even back then he said that she couldn't fill the gap of every torment but there it is. Definitive proof that she has. And it isn't just that she's done it, or even that she's done it for months, but also that she hasn't noticed. That the part of him with doubts has quietly slipped away.
And it's the same for her.
When he's back on the bed, she slinks her hands away into the blanket, clutching its two halves.
She's surprised at how easy it is to pull them apart and show him all of her. That doesn't mean it gets any easier with the way he stares at her. Yang has to resist covering up again.
His eyes trace the length of her arms down to her toned, steady legs. Back up to her abs and the swell of her breasts, to the soft coiling of her shoulder blades into her neck. This woman is built like a brick house and he loves every inch of her.
She'd already been staring at most of him before the towel on his waist slips away. The broad stroke of his arms, the wound tightness of his chest, his abs are pulled taut but his navel looks soft and boyish between the strong ridges. His legs are thin but muscled. She never knew she could appreciate the curve of a calf before but his legs help make him tall and it looks like she can dine on its width.
He crawls towards her and she welcomes his look of uncertainty as if it was her own. She falls back onto the sheets, prepared for him. One hand on her belly, the other pressed firmly over her beating chest. He doesn't move in to kiss her. He's stopped and staring somewhere on her breast. She almost cracks a joke about it but his hand comes up suddenly and runs along her skin.
"What happened here?" he asks.
There's the shadow of a scar beneath her left breast. She's surprised he can even see it in the low light. "Accident. I crashed my bike one night when driving home back to Beacon. It was… it wasn't a very good night. Assholes just drove on by and didn't bother checking in. Everyone sees an armed huntress and they think I can everything handle my own. Never mind that I was bleeding and calling out for help."
His eyes narrow. "People in this city suck."
"C'mon, they're not all bad. That boatman's pretty nice."
"Tackle."
"What?"
He snorts. "Yang, that's his name. Tackle. You're telling me we spent two weekends with him and you don't even know his name? You remember the old guy who sells dust? You meet him every month. His name's Shop and he's Tackle's brother."
She's laughing. Mostly from embarrassment. Mostly. "And how do you know this?"
"I talked to him?"
She shakes her head. "Y'know what, nevermind. I'm lying back here naked and you've got me thinking about old men and their equally old brothers."
"But hey, not so nervous anymore, right?"
He's right. It's so much easier to just talk to him. "Yeah. Much better tha-a-anks~! Jaune!"
His head's below her breast, kissing along her scar. He's doing it so softly that it tickles. "J-Jaune! Ha ha! What are you doing?"
"Kissing it better," he says matter-of-factly.
"Quit it! Ha ha! It tickles!"
He pulls his lips off her and leans over her, resting his forehead to hers. "No more bad memories. I'll rip out everything from before and give you something new everyday."
She nudges her nose to his. "Everyday?" she asks softly.
He shrugs but he means it. "I'm exaggerating but I'll try."
She runs a hand down his cheek. "Why do you always gotta do that?"
"Do what?"
"Just… be real with me? Some guys just stop at the sweeping romantic gesture."
"I think I'm incapable of being anything else with you at this point."
"Scary," she teases. "Jaune Arc, ever exposed. How will I ever contain myself?"
"Shut up."
She shakes her head meaningfully, something beautiful dancing behind her eyes. He tells himself it's love. "I can't. Words are all I have when I can't do anything with my hands."
He kisses her knuckle, its strength softening at his touch. "And why don't you?"
He's flush against her. Her knees curl around his waist. "Because I won't be able stop myself if you let me."
"Don't stop," he whispers. "Show me everything."
Her hand braces against the back of his neck.
He sucks on her lower lip. Then he does the same to the other.
She moans and it's raw and animalistic, but it's a symphony in his ear.
-0-
Yang plops onto the sofa next to him. "If this takes any longer, I'm going to tear my hair out."
Jaune takes a sip of his apple juice and eyes her passed the glass. She's been stressing out all afternoon. "I don't think you've failed enough tests to warrant a failing grade. Didn't you pass the exams?"
"I'm not worried about failing." A pause. She doesn't look at him when she admits, "I need to get a B."
His brow creases. "You only need to not fail to be a huntress."
"Yeah, but they don't let you be a teacher or a coach without at least B."
"You wanna be a teacher?"
She scratches her head. "No? Yes. Maybe. Look, I wanna have my options open."
He sits closer. She can feel his warmth on her hip. "Is this cause of what Qrow said yesterday?"
"Mom, actually. We were talking about how she wishes she was home and worrying about cracking an egg right instead of trying to crack open a conspiracy."
She doesn't need to tell him more. "Yang, our kids will still love you if you're not home all the time."
"But I'd like to be home all the time. I hate the idea of being gone for months and… ugh, look at me. Losing my mind on imaginary children."
"You're thinking ahead. It's what a leader does. I like to think it's what a Xiao Long does too."
Yang rubs her arm. "Yeah… leader." With both Weiss and Ruby officially off the campus roster, Yang had been voted as the new leader. It's strange having to trade teammates with JNPR every once in a while to get teams of three, but they're always all together now anyway. Still, the title hangs over her head and she's trying her best.
"You'll get used to it. Leadership isn't a hard class and you'll only officially start taking it next year."
"But sitting in it makes me think a lot. I didn't think a class with no grades could be so stressful… I mean, maintaining team psychology? I didn't think Ruby had to consider our wellbeing all the time, and now that I do, I feel like we all take our leaders for granted."
He puts a hand on her shoulder. "See, this is why we don't talk about Leadership outside of class. You gotta detox. What would you like?"
She tosses her scroll onto the coffee table. "These grades. I get this out of my system, and I can start worrying about everything else."
He claps his hands and gets up. "Okay, bubble bath, massage oil, scented candles, and cake it is."
She gives him a wiry smile. "Thank you…"
"What kind of cake?" he asks when he's sifting through the cupboards in the kitchen. "I can whip up the chiffon and icing real quick if that's what you're after."
She picks her scroll back up and thumbs through her messages. She goes through a backlog from Ruby. She met up with Weiss a few days back and the photo of them together (and Oscar getting along with Whitley in back) always manages to curl a smile into her. Among the images sent, she finds another with Weiss alone in her room. Neptune's not allowed to get close just yet but she's wearing the aquamarine necklace her got her for the proposal.
"I'm thinking Red Velvet," she calls out to him. "Maybe you can experiment again? I'd love to help you try."
"Nah, not this time. I couldn't get the red velvet to mix right even with Ren's help. I'll need to pick a lesson with mom when we get to Clove so I can get it down."
She gets an image from Blake. She's having afternoon tea with her parents. Ren and Nora are with her. Ren seems right at home with Kali, and Nora seems to have gotten Ghira to laugh. Somewhere in the background, Sun's teasing Ilia about someone on her scroll. She's turned a shade of pink, which does nothing to hide her blush. Looks like Sun managed to find her a girlfriend after all.
"We can do a different cake then," she tells Jaune.
"It's okay, I'll just order again." He already has his scroll up. "But we're getting three little boxes. I'm not letting you engorge the whole thing again."
She snorts. "You can't stop me from snacking."
He pinches the bridge of his nose. "Yang, one of these days I'm gonna have to buy a padlock for the fridge."
"Like a padlock would stop me."
His hand slaps the counter. "Okay, no bubble bath, and no massage then."
"Fine. Little cakes. But you know I can just order more, right? It's a joint account after all." It was her mother's idea to help them balance finances between them. It managed to get Helia Arc to talk to Raven. They get along. Yang doesn't know what do with that.
"Please don't do anything crazy with the account. It's the last installment for the car."
"Which I'm helping you pay for. I deserve a treat."
Jaune stops what he's doing and just stares at her. She's not normally this difficult. Or difficult at all, for that matter. "Yang, are you messing with me?"
She peeks back gives him a sheepish grin from behind the couch. "Yes? C'mon, you know I love you. You like eating them with me anyway. You need to get your head out of the rain too." Because their new tub is big enough for two, the massage is always the kind with a happy ending, and she's pretty sure the scented candles are just a silent joke between them at this point.
He comes around to sit next to her again. "I'm not the one worrying about her grades."
"And I'm not the one stressing about his car," she counters. "Don't think I haven't noticed."
Leaning back into the cushions, he loses any desire to argue. "I took good care of it…"
"I know you did, so it's not your fault. Just you wait. The mechanic will be back with a message for you any minute now to tell you it was a nothing issue and they can fix it in an afternoon."
She's on her inbox with Jaune now. They hardly send messages anymore since they're together all the time so instead they send each other the pictures they take so they always both have copies. They had a mission at the ruins of Glenn, a dinner date by the docks, drew on Ren's face while he slept, spent an afternoon hanging photos off strings on the ceiling, visited Cardin in the hospital (he's got a cool scar along his arm and neck now), took a hike in the woods, and there's a dozen more photos of them cozying up in the apartment. These have just been in the last month, too. With summer coming, they'll have enough photos to hide entire ceiling at the dorm.
Jaune leans over. "Why am I Hummingbird in your contacts? I thought I was Vomit Boy."
She snickers. "Well, you know how Blake's books have all those fancy words for sex? Like the word vagina is somehow too crass for 'erotica'."
He squints. "I already don't like where this is going."
"So we got to talking and she mentions how, in her latest book, the vagina substitute is flower, and what comes out is nectar."
Jaune buries his head in his hands. "Oh my god, Yang…"
"And with the amount of time you spend down there…"
"Yang!"
"Did you know that hummingbirds can consume up to eight times their weight in nectar? Those are rookie numbers. They should probably take notes from you."
He grabs her face and presses his forehead to hers, manic eyes meeting hers. "I love you, but if you have an off switch, you have to tell me."
She looks down and up at him again. She points to her lips. "They're right here, lover boy."
He pulls back and looks between her lips and the coy look in her eyes. "I… no." He huffs and crosses his arms. "Not doing it."
This throws her for a loop. "What? Why?"
He glances back at her. She wants it just as much. Now he's the one being coy. "Cause this is funny."
"Fine. Why don't I send Blake a few of these little facts. She's started writing and I'm sure she could use some our juicy details."
"Yang, no."
She's already typing down on her scroll. Jaune crashes into her and they fall back onto the arm rest. For a moment they struggle as Jaune tries to reach for her scroll until Yang decides to slip the device into the back of her sweater. If he goes for it, he'll reach have to reach in closer and their faces are already close enough as it is.
"And it's gone!" she cheers. "I mean, feel free to try for it again but there's enemy territory down here."
He thumbs over her cheeks. "Fine. You win." He says with a chortle. "I swear, Yang, you're impossible."
"And yet you have me anyway."
Their lips press together warmly, making them meld together into a host of mewls and hushed laughter.
Their scrolls ping. They go completely ignored.
-END-
And that’s it! I hope you liked it! There’s a sequel coming down the pipeline but for now I have a major Dragonslayer story to work on elsewhere on my ff.net and ao3 accounts. Maybe I’ll post a link here to it when it comes out.
That said, thank you to everyone who gave this story their love. I would not have made it this far without your support. Thank you. :’)

tv rewatch: gg edition ep 16
ok to be honest, if blair and her circle are basically supposed to be like old money, which i don’t think they actually are but they’re positioned as if they are, then jenny’s social climbing antics would be cause for derision, it would basically be like in titanic where rose’s mother and her friends don’t like molly brown because her husband is new money
Tumblr media
except jenny isn’t EVEN new money
remember when dan as gossip girl spread rumours of jenny shoplifting at gap and stealing coins out of a fountain?
georgina is good, though, at pretending to be someone else.
oh so jenny doesn’t even know he’s gay yet. i didn’t particularly care for jenny at the beginning of the season but they do a good job in showing how hanging out with the upper east siders has changed her personality.
“yeah, i understand that you’re THREATENED by him” jenny, it’s YOUR boyfriend.
LMAO this distant parenting was so not my life. I couldn’t even have doors closed in my house. “YOU CAN CLOSE DOORS WHEN YOU PAY RENT.”
“Low blow.” “Wasn’t me, wish it was.” LOL Blair.
yayyy dair scene! “i don’t want to see her get hurt.” “well then you should’ve thought of that before you told all of manhattan that your sister was a glorified hag.” she has a point, dan, even though you were already tarnishing jenny’s image anyway for shits and giggles because YOU’RE GOSSIP GIRL.
i love wedding dresses, lily’s was ok. but i’ve also been called the rapper of wedding dresses, so there’s that.
“maybe his lacrosse stick isn’t the only thing he likes to play with?” LOL, i miss innuendo.
i hate these striped cardigans.
lol i forgot what a dick asher was. also the whole “do you really think someone like me would really date someone like you” is too pointed, i like chuck and dan scenes because even though chuck does say stuff like that, it’s with more ease and subtlety and he gets his point across just by being like “humphrey dumpty” or “humdum humphrey.”
“the minute you send tips to gossip girl you’re in the game with the rest of us” barring the absurd fact that dan is gossip girl, that actually isn’t true? because like serena and blair said, the four gs in jenny’s life were Guys, Girlfriends and Gossip Girl, i mean an argument could be made that instead of going to gg he could’ve gone to one of her friends but they aren’t actually her friends and the news would go to blair and end up on gossip girl anyway, he didn’t send it in for status, he sent it in because jenny was being illogical.
nowwwww lily’s reaction to eric being gay is what the show can criticize.
jenny’s voice gets all squeaky when she’s upset, it’s aggravating.
i’m sorry, jenny’s whole ‘you can’t control me’ ‘i’m going to leave even though you told me not to’ storyline drives me up the wall.
lol i remember this song.
blair does look good though.
i just realized U R Fever is in the background when Georgina shows herself as Sara to Serena and then it’s in the background again when Chuck gets Georgina in season 2 to take down Blair. It’s a good song for her.
and honestly, i understand why dan would break up with serena after this because there is just SO much lying happening and it‘s a lot of drama. georgina outs your brother then you find out she has been pretending to be someone else to infiltrate into your boyfriend’s life and you say nothing to him? no.
“it was not my finest maternal moment,” LILY FIND YOUR SON.
georgina, you have way too much time on your hands.
serena, if you weren’t going to tell blair anything why are you there.
but seriously blake always talks like her mouth is full of marbles.
“i killed someone.” UR FEVER. great ending tho. lmao.
i’m pretty sure i watched this like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
xoxo zalrb

Essential Avengers: Avengers #233: The Annihilation Gambit!
Tumblr media
July, 1983
“Up against... the BARRIER!”
Pretty cool cover!
So here’s the thing. This is a crossover with Fantastic Four. John Byrne even gets a credit for breakdowns and co-plotting.
I’m not going to completely cover the related FF issues but I’ll dip into the relevant parts of them.
For example, let’s discuss Fantastic Four #254 which coincided with the ending of Avengers #232. The thing with the fleeing crowd that didn’t know what they were fleeing and the invisible wall She-Hulk bonked off of? What’s the deal with that?
Allow me to summarize.
The Fantastic Four went off to explore the Negative Zone and had a series of weird and silly adventures. They left Alicia behind to babysit Franklin but Annihilus popped out of the portal and took them captive. This happened back in #251 so he’s had the run of the place for a while!
He’s been making modifications to the Negative Zone Access Portal and adapting the generators. For whatever reason, switching the machine on sends out potent fear waves which causes everyone to flee the area of the Baxter Building. There scene where She-Hulk and Wasp see the fleeing crowd and bonks off an invisible wall repeats.
And that’s all you need to know! Annihilus is messing around, potent fear waves, invisible wall, Avengers!
Now let’s get to the Avengers part of this crossover.
Tumblr media
The Avengers issue of Avengers starts with Captain Marvel booking it over New York musing about what an eventful day she’s had as a full-fledged Avenger.
What with having to rescue President Reagan after he was taken hostage by soggy swamp men. Then Eros (Starfox) showed up and insisted on joining. Then Monica, Starfox, and Thor went off to catch Plantman who engineered the presidential hostage thing. All of that in only six hours!
Monica Marvel Rambeau is on her way to the mansion to give her report when she too bonks into something.
Tumblr media
Captain Marvel: “It was as if I bounced off some sort of invisible wall! But that doesn’t make sense!”
Yeah, it really doesn’t!
As Monica herself points out, the wall is invisible ie light is going through it. So her light form should be able to go through it too!
Its a very selective invisible wall, apparently. And it gives her a weird ominous feel to touch.
But she’s not going to let sleeping walls lie and decides to try different energy forms to see if anything can get through.
Annnnnnd. Radios, cosmic rays, electricity, infrared, x-rays, and even gamma rays can’t get through. Although, Monica has the feeling that the wall gave a bit under the gamma, but not enough to matter.
Monica detours around the wall and heads back towards her original destination. AVENGERS MANSION!
When Monica arrives, cool team leader Janet the Wasp van Dyne is talking with the police. Obviously the police aren’t equipped to deal with an invisible dome.
At the least, though, Jan uses the NYPD data-link to figure out where the giant dome is centered.
Also, Wasp has another new outfit. This is the same day.
But its pretty snazzy black and purple so I won’t complain.
Monica tells Jan that Big Trouble is brewing and Jan is basically like ‘oh god now what’ but thankfully Monica and Jan are on the same case.
MEANWHILE, Steve Rogers’ modest Brooklyn Heights apartment. Where Steve Rogers is not having a conversation about his feelings with his girlfriend Bernie Rosenthal because his feelings are classified!
Steve Rogers: “In a way. It’s Avengers business!”
I’d mock this but what has Steve bummed and pacing like a caged bear is that Tony Stark, his good pal who he’ll never Civil War with, has quit the Avengers, gave Iron Man up to someone else, and is trying to drink himself to unconsciousness.
Which is very concerning! But also something you can’t really share the full details of without revealing a lot of secrets that aren’t yours to reveal! I feel like you could at least say ‘I think my friend is an alcoholic but won’t accept my help’ without spilling secrets but shrug.
At least Steve is open with Bernie. Yeah, she knows he’s Captain America!
Truly, the man is a role model. Not just as a superhero but also on dating.
Steve gets a BZZZT on his snazzy cool radio wristwatch, possibly the coolest thing to wear on one’s wrist ha ha don’t think about Avengers wearing Apple Watches.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Jan updates Steve on the invisible - and expanding - dome. And that weirdly, there doesn’t seem to be anyone trapped inside because everyone ran away from it because its inexplicably spooky.
So Steve rushes off to Save The Day, stripping mid-run because that’s the kind of casualness and comfort you can have in a relationship where you’re open and honest.
See how Steve didn’t have to make up a half-assed excuse? Maybe think about that, Spider-Man. You’re not in this scene but maybe think about it.
Meanwhile again, the Baxter Building.
Where thankfully for people not reading Fantastic Four, we get an echoed scene where Annihilus motive rants at captive audience Alicia Masters.
Basically, Annihilus is feeling very bummed that Blastaar stole his Cosmic Control Rod in Marvel Two-in-One #75. For one thing, it really tied his whole outfit together. For another, without it, Annihilus isn’t immortal and he’s freaking out about dying. And not dying eventually, he’s apparently got Doom-level messed up face now from how he’s degrading.
Tumblr media
So really the only real way to come to terms with mortality is to destroy two whole universes so you don’t die alone.
Annihilus broke Reed’s Negative Zone Access Portal and used its power core to power his own impenetrable NULL-FIELD. Which I guess is the invisible dome.
Annihilus: “How wonderfully ironic -- that a device which once produced a gateway between two universes should provide the power to utterly destroy them!”
I’m missing some middle steps here but basically invisible dome -> ??? -> destruction of the Negative Zone and the, uh, Positive Zone.
A MEEP MEEP from a computer which may be a roadrunner gets Annihilus’ attention and he sees to his shock that She-Hulk has planted her feet and is trying to bodily hold the dome back.
It’s not working but its slowing it almost imperceptibly and even that’s supposed to be impossible.
Annihilus: “What manner of creature is this?!”
I’d guess gamma-powered She-Hulk is having a tiny bit of luck against the dome for the same reason that Captain Marvel did when she tried gamma radiation.
Wasp, Captain America, and Captain Marvel show up to help She-Hulk.
Tumblr media
She-Hulk tells the other Avengers that the invisible dome keeps “oozing over everything inanimate” but that she(-Hulk) can’t stop it.
Cap suggests using his shield despite the risk of losing it inside the dome.
Because, when Captain America uses his mighty shield, all who oppose his shield must yield. So maybe he’s onto something.
She-Hulk plants the shield in the ground in the path of the dome.
So good news/bad news.
Tumblr media
The dome doesn’t swallow up the shield. But the dome just pushes the shield, carving a little furrow in the ground.
That cracks me up a little, I will not lie.
I don’t know why Cap’s super cool shield is exempt from getting schlorped up by the null-field but now they have a good idea where it is without having to bonk!
Speaking of bonk, Thor and Starfox come to join the party and Starfox runs right into the invisible wall.
Hee hee hee.
He also drops right into She-Hulk’s arms and they have a mutual banter moment.
Tumblr media
She-Hulk: “Hmm! I’ve never had anyone fall for me like this before!”
Starfox: “I assure you it was totally unplanned... but rarely have I fallen into such open and inviting arms!”
If I recall correctly, they do hook up at one point and then years later She-Hulk beats seven kinds of shit out of him when the question arises of whether his powers influenced her into it.
At least Starfox is receptive and she’s not stalking Ben Grimm.
Anyway, Thor tries his hand at busting the null-field by shooting a bunch of lightning at it. Even though Captain Marvel tells him she already tried electricity.
Thor gotta Thor though.
And when the field stands firm against all the lightning, he gets pissed and hurls his hammer into it.
Mjolnir flies into the field, loses steam, and just pitches gently to Earth.
Tumblr media
Bit confusing. I wonder why Cap’s shield can’t go through the dome but Mjolnir can.
BY THE WAY, THEY LEFT CAP’S SHIELD JAMMED AGAINST THE DOME.
They don’t comment on it but you can see it still gouging up the pavement. I guess they’re using it to mark where the dome is?
Amazing.
Anyway, Thor marvels at how Mjolnir left no mark on the invisible barrier and how its not returning to his hand like it should. Clearly there’s some weird property of the barrier interfering with Mjolnir.
Cap points out yeah thats interesting but isn’t there something that happens if you have Mjolnir out of hand for too long?
So Thor runs away and turns into Normal Doctor Donald Blake in an alleyway where nobody can see it happen.
Again: amazing.
Thor is basically out of the story because Normal Doctor Donald Blake can’t do anything to affect the barrier and he can’t get Mjolnir back while its up. So he’s just going to be twiddling his thumbs.
MEANWHILE, at Cross Technological Enterprises.
Hawkeye tries to cajole inventor Jorge to build some contraption for him but the man protests that he designed it in his spare time but if he builds a working model on staff, CTE will own the invention.
Unless someone approves a sub-contractor waiver that will let him keep the rights but who would do such a thing for him??
Hawkeye decides that as head of security he’ll do such a thing. I don’t know if head of security has any kind of sway like that but I imagine that won’t stop Hawkeye from insisting that he does.
Then Hawkeye hears about the Avengers dealing with the dome thing and gets sad that he can’t be out there with them.
Hawkeye: “Blast it, I oughta be out there with the rest of the Avengers! But, as long as my leg’s in a cast, I’m a liability to ‘em... until I prove otherwise!”
Maybe focus on letting your leg heal!
I don’t know what nonsense you’re brewing up and I know that months is forever in comic book time but maybe just take the time and let your leg heal up!
Back over at the Avengers, Cap and Wasp now justify to the others why Thor took off. Claiming that they sent him on a scouting mission. Captain Marvel objects that scouting is her specialty, what with the lightspeed dash, so Cap claims that brute force isn’t helping so its more important to have Captain Marvel’s versatility here.
Leading She-Hulk to snark that brute force not working doesn’t give her a lot to do.
Starfox has become instantly bored with the plot because he’s here for adventure dangit, so he wanders off to go flirt with an EMT.
Because Starfox.
A Quinjet arrives, because Wasp has put her true superpower to work.
The power of NETWORKING!
Aka, she placed a call to Vision and Scarlet Witch and they just showed up to help.
Wasp explains the situation and Vision decides he’s going to intangible through the field.
Vision: “Interesting. It does have an oddly unsettling ‘feel’ to it!”
Then he walks through and instantly collapses face first into the asphalt.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Avengers’ bumbling attempts to deal with the null field are almost farcical really.
Scarlet Witch is alarmed by her robot husband faceplanting so tries to use her plot-resolving probability powers on the invisible barrier but to no avail.
OH NO HER DOES ANYTHING POWER DID NOTHING!
She bangs on the invisible wall yelling Vision’s name but Cap tells her “that won’t do any good!”
True but c’mon. Her robot husband just collapsed. Have some understanding.
Although I wonder what’s going on here.
The field goes over inanimate objects but doesn’t let Cap’s shield through. Mjolnir and Vision can go through it (although Vision does the intangible) but lose power shortly after entering.
Then again it is called a “null-field.” It probably does whatever it wants.
I’m just wondering whether Vision counts as an inanimate object or not. He’s very animate but he’s not strictly speaking biologically speaking alive.
Meanwhile, in the Baxter Building, Annihilus is laughing up a storm at the Avengers’ silly hijinxes. But mostly in the ‘they thought they could stop me’ sense.
Annihilus: “Lesser beings such as these are helpless before the genius of Annihilus! They do not deserve to live -- just as I do not deserve to die! I curse the fates which have robbed me of my rightful immortality! But even though life slowly ebbs from the dissipated body within my exo-skeletal armor, still shall I be Annihilus... still shall I be He-Who-Annihilates!”
And he pulls the Big Dramatic Lever.
Outside, Starfox is still flirting with the paramedic while she asks whether he should be helping the other Avengers?
Starfox: -squishes her face- “Alas, I am not a full Avenger. I am but a trainee, at the others’ beck and call! If they want me, they will call.”
And then he tries to make out but she’s distracted by the Baxter Building suddenly glowing with an awesome power.
And Starfox freaks out. He freaks out so much that he realizes that now is not the time for making out. That’s how alarming things suddenly are!
Paramedic: “Brighter than the moon... glowing like there’s no tomorrow...”
Starfox: “I fear your choice of words is most apt!”
And then he wanders back on over to the Avengers to tell them how messed up everything is.
Something occurs to me.
The Avengers don’t really have a Smart Guy TM currently. Tony left them in the lurch in that regard. And they tried to recruit Hulk again (apparently in Incredible Hulk #285).
Cap(tain America), Captain Marvel, Wasp, She-Hulk, and Thor are great. But they’re not people who can look at a thing and instantly jump to a correct conclusion about which technobabble will keep things from bad.
I think... Starfox may have become the Smart Guy TM of the team by default because he does have advanced space learning even though I’m pretty sure he napped through advanced space learning science class.
My god, the state of things.
Anyway, Starfox directs the Avengers’ attention over to the Baxter Building. Within the invisible field, there’s a second glowing field. And based on Starfox’s brains, the invisible field is a null-field (yes, that’s true) which cancels out all energy within, except at its focal point. Uh, sure. I think if all energy was cancelled out, we’d see way wilder effects but sure.
The glowing field is positive energy. And when the glow meets the invisible, it will cause the universe to merge with the Negative Zone AND THEN DESTROY THEM BOTH.
See, this is something that’s known on Titan. They just study ways to destroy everything apparently, nbd.
Starfox even mentions that his brother Thanos knows about this but “not even my brother Thanos was mad enough to test it!”
I dunno. I feel like Thanos is exactly mad enough to do that. I also feel like Starfox doesn’t know his brother was well as he thinks. So, yeah.
Hence, they’re all doomed. I mean, unless there was some way to penetrate the null-field BUT WAIT, Starfox says, didn’t Captain Marvel feel the field give slightly under gamma radiation? THEN THERE STILL MAY BE HOPE!
Yeah... Yeah. Starfox is the Avengers’ Smart Guy now. God.
Its like a reverse-Beast. He came to be a smart guy but the Avengers’ had plenty of those so decided to be the fun guy.
Starfox came out just to have a good time and he has to use his space brains to save reality.
(Also, its because of Same Face but Starfox even looks like Reed while he’s transitioning from doomsaying to figuring out the whole thing just by panicking and explaining things)
So after the Avengers do some calculations and preparations, Captain Marvel blasts off into space!
Cap(tain America) estimates that they only have twenty minutes and that a lot can go wrong.
Then a giant shouty bug man appears in the sky to shout.
Tumblr media
Annihilus: “PEOPLE OF EARTH -- HEAR NOW THE WORDS OF ANNIHILUS! YOU ARE HELPLESS BEFORE ME! I AM YOUR DEATH!”
“The destruction of all that lives has ever been my goal -- but never have I had the means to kill so many! The time of universal death is at hand! I see among you those who are known as the Avengers... those who you would call heroes! Hah! They cannot save you! They are as helpless as the accursed Fantastic Four!”
“There is no hope for anyone this day! This is the day that Annihilus dies! And as I die, I shall reach out and I shall shake the very foundations of two universes! AND ALL SHALL PERISH WITH ME!”
Not gonna lie.
That’s a damn good villain speech.
You’ve got the villain head in front of an apocalyptic pink sky. You’ve got evil gloating. You’ve even got some dunks thrown at the superheroes because you just know that average civilians will be like ‘the Avengers will save us!’
Pretty good rant, Annihilus.
“Meanwhile, in the vacuum of space, the lightform of Captain Marvel has already flashed beyond the orbit of the moon”
Amazing.
Simply amazing.
Captain Marvel nyooms past the moon and traverses 93-million miles to go to the sun.
Which, even at lightspeed, takes over eight minutes.
A helpful reminder that even the ability to go as fast as light doesn’t necessarily mean you can get everywhere instantly. Cosmic distances are vast.
Captain Marvel nyooms around the sun, so close that even in the form of a light, she can feel the Sun’s gravity.
This is all some great stuff.
Then, Captain Marvel melds with a coherent light beam fired from solar satellite Starcore-One and transforms it and herself into a gamma ray laser beam NYOOMING right at Earth.
Blasting through the null-field just in time to interrupt more of Annihilus’ villain ranting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Annihilus: “Prepare to make your final accounting, mortals! These are your last wretched moments of... eh?”
And then with a SKRAKATA SKRAKATA BOOM, the null field and positive energy fields are neutralized.
She-Hulk who was casually leaning on an invisible wall FLUMPS to the ground.
Wasp assembles the Avengers still milling about and tells them to move on the Baxter Building since Annihilus might still have tricks up his sleeve.
With the null field gone, the terrified crowds of onlookers are now just confused onlookers and want to get back to what they were doing before they started panicking.
Normal Doctor Donald Blake has to reach through the crowd of legs to grab Mjolnir so he can become Thor and rejoin the Avengers.
Y’know, before someone starts pondering why they haven’t seen him in a while.
Scarlet Witch notices sudden Thor and since everyone else ran off without paying any mind to Vision (geez, what the hell, the Avengers? He’s your good pal chum!) she begs Thor to help.
Tumblr media
Scarlet Witch: “Thank heavens, you’ve returned! The Vision was injured somehow by that null-field! I... I can’t find any vital signs! His synthetic body is too different for the paramedics to do anything! Help us! Please -- !”
Thor slings Vision over shoulder exactly like you’d expect a buff Norse god to do and reassures Wanda that they’ll find someone to revive Vision.
At the Baxter Building, the Avengers very courteously go in through the front door because there’s just a lot of defensive systems that may or may not be active. And anyway, Wasp has a key to the special elevator.
Apparently, Wasp is such good friends with Sue Storm that she was given one of those special lasers incorporated into her new costume that opens the elevator doors.
Tumblr media
I’ll have to check with my friend who liveblogs Fantastic Four to see if Jan shows up much. Because Sue has shown up a couple times in Avengers to build the idea that she and Wasp are good friends after their cool brunch but I haven’t heard of the reverse.
When the Avengers get to the 34th floor to confront Annihilus, they find that it’s been taken care of off in Fantastic Four.
The caption tells me for the full story to see that issue #256 and for once, I will.
(Interestingly, while Byrne got a co-plotter credit on this Avengers issue, Stern doesn’t get the same in the corresponding FF issue which really suggests who the driving force of the story was.)
Over in FF #256, the FF are stranded in the Negative Zone for reasons but have also noticed the null-field and positive field thing going on. Reed works to limit the effects of the fields merging to only the Baxter Building instead of the whole universe, which will also help the FF return home. He also hopes that someone on the Earth side of things “an Avenger perhaps” is also taking action.
Which, yeah. Captain Marvel’s whole thing where she launched herself at the Baxter Building from the Sun.
While she’s doing that, the thing that Reed is doing starts shorting out the circuity that Annihilus is using.
Then, Captain Marvel’s appearance causes the console Annihilus is working at to explode in his face, destroying his life-support armor.
Annihilus tries to activate the ‘destroy the universe’ thing manually but because of Reed’s machinations, the Fantastic Four get pulled back into the universe and Annihilus gets booted into the Negative Zone.
Tumblr media
Its implied that Annihilus dies here but ha ha ha no he’s going to show up again without explaining how he survived. What a dick.
The Fantastic Four pop back into the Baxter building with the colors in their outfits changed because of technobabble. Reed instantly accosts Captain Marvel for being someone he doesn’t recognize but Thing tells him who she is and defuses things.
Thing runs off to take Alicia to the hospital, Sue runs off to look for Franklin, and Reed and Human Torch put out all the fires.
And that’s where the books sync up so back over to Avengers.
The Avengers meet up with the FF and compare notes and Reed starts trying to technobabble explain the change in uniforms when Wanda interrupts and asks someone to help Vision.
Reed examines Vision and comes up with some good news.
Vision is, more or less, okay. When he entered the null-field it drained his energy and disrupted his synapses but there shouldn’t be any permanent damage. The robot coma is Vision basically fixing himself up but Reed could speed up the process and help him recover faster.
And then Sue comes in with an unconscious Franklin.
Everyone drops everything to immediately rush off to the hospital, leaving Wanda and coma-Vision alone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean. Kinda rude. Its entirely fair for Reed and Sue to run off. Its their son. And Johnny flies ahead to alert the emergency ward. But does the situation really need Starfox, Captain America and She-Hulk?
(The FF issue actually shows that Captain Marvel stuck around. She barely knows Wanda and Vision and she’s actually being courteous to them. Geez.)
I’ll give Thor a pass because he can turn into a Perfectly Normal Doctor. But really? Everyone is just leaving Wanda alone? Just like they left Vision just passed out in the street?
The Avengers are being dicks to Vision and Wanda today!
Follow @essential-avengers and like and reblog perhaps. Because I wouldn’t leave Vision lying passed out in the street and I haven’t even been his friend for years. Just saying.

Top 5 worst male characters and Top 5 worst female characters in RWBY, and brief reasons why?
This is the type of ask that’s gonna get me shit but I have known no hubris in my life so let’s go. These won’t be in the case of being intentionally bad, I’m doing more on personal taste and the quality of their writing.
Worst Male Characters
1. Adam Taurus
Obviously, Adam is at the top of the list for me. His storyline was butchered from a story of racism and vigilantism to a story about domestic abuse, his brand was cheap shock value with very little substance, he stopped being threatening after the Fall of Beacon and instead became a whiny little bitch, and his voice acting is just bad.
He sounds like he’s gonna call me a slur on Xbox Live.
2. Jacques Schnee
Yeah, the abusive rich man who runs slave mines is bad, but that’s not the main reason he’s on this list. I could accept a character like that if the writers made him good, but they didn’t. Jacques wasn’t intimidating at all. He wasn’t smart at all. The man who conned his father in law and wife into giving him complete control of the most powerful company in Remnant is not the same man we get in the actual show.
He’s whiny, cowardly, and a useless villain who’s entire downfall was treated like a poorly made joke, and now only serves as comic relief in the Jailbirds scenes in V8.
3. Hazel Rainart
Same issues with Jacques and Adam, but less egregious. Hazel was actually a pretty interesting villain in his earlier volumes, and even after his blunder at the Batlle of Haven, he went back to being kinda good in V6 with his protective behaviour towards Emerald. And then V8 came around and I grew to hate how stupid his reasons for joining Salem were, and the fact that he just beat the shit outta Oscar while whining about his dead sister.
Bro, Idgaf about someone I never met while you’re maiming a 15 year old boy because you wanna be mad at the guy in his head.
4. Qrow Branwen
It’s the same case with Hazel. I actually liked Qrow up until V6, and even then I cared enough to try and see where his alcoholism arc went since it’s a serious issue that affects not only my family, but my people. I started to dislike him after he punched Oscar and kept being horrible to the boy, all without apologising in the end, but v7 and 8 made me really hate him.
I don’t care for his edgy attitude, and I don’t care that he got his self-help book boyfriend murdered by a crackhead. Add onto CRWBY butchering a serious topic about alcoholism with him, and he’s just sank right down writing sense.
5. Ghira Belladonna
I never liked Ghira. I think the others are higher than him on this list just on the virtue that I liked them, or the idea of them, and the writing just pulled them down so much.
But I never had that problem with Ghira, so the disappointment doesn’t sting as bad. He’s just an unnecessary character that cheapens Blake since she’s now a princess, a useless father who somehow couldn’t get his own 12 year old daughter back even thought she didn’t even bother to change her own name, and then featured live on a tournament channel that the whole world saw. He was a useless leader, his ideology was stupid and almost got him and others killed, and he was so ungrateful towards Adam for saving his stupid furry ass that I completely sided with Sienna calling him the fuck out.
At least he’s not on my screen anymore, but I know that won’t last forever and I gotta look at his dumb face again.
Worst Female Characters
1. Cinder Fall
God, she is the worst villain and character in this show. She’s so flat, her stans are annoying as fuck, her voice leaves a lot to be desired, and the fact that there’s hardly anything to her for seven years makes it even worse now that we finally got a backstory for her, and it’s one we ALL GUESSED.
Who would’ve thought she’d be a Cinderella who killed her abusive family, I am shooketh.
2. Blake Belladonna
Blake was my favourite girl in RWBY and I’m mad at CRWBY for what they’ve done to her.
It says a lot that a girl still affected by the abuse and trauma of fighting in a terrorist organisation has more personality and backbone than one who’s supposedly broken free of her traumatic past and moved forward. Blake now is spineless, flat, boring ass cardboard cutout of what she once was, who would rather let her human friends defend her from racists than call them out herself like she did to Weiss in Volume 1.
She’s spoiled, priviledged, annoying, and Arryn has such a flat voice on top of being a gross ass person that I get annoyed every time she speaks. She’s no longer an oppressed minority fighting for the rights of her people, she’s a princess who would rather go to a club with people she didn’t even like than a rally against the man who caused so much suffering to her people. Even her talk with Nora about not letting yourself be taken over by who you’re with romantically is hypocritical, since that’s exactly what’s happened to her since she’s been paired up with Yang.
She couldn’t even have the spotlight of fighting her own VILLAIN, Yang was the one who broke Adam’s Aura and had the big triumphant moment of throwing his sword in the river while she was too busy fucking rock climbing.
3. Yang Xiao Long
Yang was my second favourite girl in RWBY and I’m mad at CRWBY for what they’ve done to her.
Yang wasn’t super developed in the earlier volumes. Honestly, I didn’t think much until her talk with Blake about Raven in Burning The Candle, and her dismemberment leading her towards depression and PTSD. Come Volume 4, I was alright with the portrayal of her recovery. I don’t think they gave enough time between her trying on the arm and then being good enough to leave, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t bad.
What was bad was everything after. Yang became a hypocritical, moody bitch who would drag everyone for their bad decisions while ignoring her own. Her PTSD, something VERY personal to me, was ruined and up and vanished by V7 since she’s now killed the man who gave her the disorder so obviously it’s cured! She is always on Ozpin’s case for the birds shit, and then keeping secrets, but then goes and does the exact same thing while giving little resistance to others doing it because they’re family.
Even her argument with Ruby in V8 was tame as fuck. She blamed Ruby for things not going well while ignoring that it was her own dumbass decisions that contributed to it. Ruby didn’t tell Yang to go and spill the beans to Robyn, her stupid cat girlfriend did that, and Yang went along with it while being unrepentant later on when Ironwood was RIGHTFULLY pissed about it.
Add onto v8 then having her worry about how BLAKE thought about her, rather than RUBY, and I just hate her. This ain’t Yang, I want Yang back.
4. Nora Valkyrie
Nora is just a flat character. Her voice is annoyingly high pitched and screechy, her jokes aren’t funny, and all the things I loved that she got in v4 was later dropped entirely. She had such good moments in V4 that actually made me appreciate her more, and then she just became another hypocrite in v7 who wanted to yell at Ironwood while refusing to look at her own flaws.
On top of her kissing Ren when he was clearly not in the mood to talk, and it made me hate her. It’s not a cute ship moment, it’s a creepy disrespect of someone’s personal space. If it was the other way around, no one would think it was cute.
5. Robyn Hill
Similar to Ghira’s reasons, I never liked Robyn, so she’s low down on the list compared to the others since at one point I loved the others (Minus Cinder but she’s just so bad that she’s #1).
Robyn isn’t a good freedom fighter. She runs in without thinking about things and then proceeds to deny any responsibility of her actions. She won’t accept that maybe her agreeing with the same serial killer that nearly killed her and Fiona, on top of succeeding in murdering some of her supporters and Forest, and starting a fight with Clover in an enclosed space wasn’t a good idea.
Add onto the fact that she’s really just incompetent. She steals supplies from Ironwood to fix the wall and help Mantle, but after time we see that nothing has been done.
Christina Vee is wasted on her honestly.

Motion Sickness Chapter 82
pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq pq
I woke up to my head feeling split open. Not my best start to a day but considering where I'd left off yesterday it was about as good as I could expect to be doing. I couldn't recall my dreams either which I took as a promising sign. Maybe Mother had laid off for once.
Yeah right. And maybe pigs will fly.
She'd probably attacked me as ferociously as she ever could if she knew I'd met my sisters yesterday. I remembered so much.
Digging up worms with Iris before a fishing trip.
Fake .
A family photo with me surrounded by my energetic sisters. Lily smiling and upside down on the couch for the photo. My eyes rolled for the camera.
Fake.
Playing huntsman in the woods near my home with Saphron. I used a small stick as a small imaginary sword to fight off pretend Grimm.
Fake.
Kolumbine and Juniper teasing me over my first crush. A wispy girl I could hardly remember from back home.
Fake.
Home. Where even was home for me? I remembered it as a lone tall house in a small woods but where had it been? What was the name of the town it had been a part of? I couldn't remember. Had it been anywhere at all? Or was it all fake pressure from my Mother to help me along the way to losing my mind? A gatekeeper to my madness.
I stood from my bed and took my morning medications. I swallowed them down my dry throat without any water. I tried to shake off what I knew were incomplete memories but I couldn't. I remembered so much and so little at the same time. The same few frames replaying over and over in my head, there was nothing I could do to escape my wrathful memories of peaceful times.
I felt like a bug on a leaf. So unsteady. So uncertain. Ready to be swatted down at a moment's notice. I felt like hardly anything at all.
I wanted to kill something. That would make me feel better. Even if it was just Grimm. Slaying monsters would get me warmed up and ready to go. It would put me in the right mindset. Instead I settled down at my desk and pulled out my chair. I pulled out my needle for a moment and I focused on it.
Change.
I demanded of it.
Transform.
I told it.
It did neither. The needle remained a needle. And I performed no magic. I wasn't sure who Ozpin thought he was fooling. My sisters had done no magic and they would have had my Mother to teach them their entire lives. However long that was. They couldn't be older than me chronologically or biologically. They must be younger than me. They must have been grown until they were about as old as they are now give or take three years. How long I'd been alive and out of my tank for.
There came a knock at my door. A polite double tap-rap. It sounded like Weiss from my experience without even opening it. I could be wrong but it sounded like her.
I wasn't sure I wanted to see her. Or anyone. My head still ached and remembered losing my mind a little the night before. I was embarrassed by it. I was embarrassed by my own weakness. And Ruby and Weiss had seen it all unfold.
I got up anyway and left the needle behind. The frustrating fucking thing that it was. Ozpin had transformed it so easily and here I was still struggling two weeks later. I'd made no progress. None.
I opened the door to find Weiss as I suspected I would. Her blue eyes like shimmering ice and her hair not yet done up in her plait. It left it mid-back length long locks of platinum. She was beautiful.
I looked away. I was embarrassed about losing my marbles last night over my sisters.
"How are you feeling, Cloud?" She asked in a low voice. She raised an eyebrow at where I blocked the door. "Are you going to let me in?"
I was because of course I was. I stood to the side of the door frame and held the door open. She stepped inside, slippers making soft noises against the cold floor.
"I'm alright," I told her.
"You always answer that way. Even when you're doing poorly. You can tell us how you're really feeling. We won't hold it against you if you're not your usual self," she murmured. She gave me a soft reassuring smile.
I looked away and sighed. "What is my usual self? I'm feeling fragile today. I want to kill something though. I want to be violent. I feel like that's all I'm good for. Violence. I can barely stave off the memories in my head that I know are fake. I know that they're fake."
"Tell me about them." She brushed her hair back behind her head as she spoke.
"My Mother was always wearing the same white dress in every memory I have of her. And… and I don't remember my father's face. There's other inconsistencies too. Little impossibilities. I remember being teased by my sisters about my first crush when I was a small boy. Something I know is impossible. It couldn't have happened but it feels real to me. I wonder if they remember these things too but from their own perspective. I wonder how twisted Salem has made them."
"You care about them. Your sisters."
"I… I do. My feelings for them are not real, though. I've never met them. Not like I've met and gotten to know the rest of you. You and Ruby. And Blake and Yang. Even my team when they were around. When they were around."
"Your feelings are valid, Cloud."
I scoffed. A low sound. She reached out and touched my face. She had to stand up on her tiptoes to truly manage it. She forced me to look at her. I could hardly stand it. She was gorgeous even with the long scar running over one eye.
"What?" She asked. "They are. Just because Salem has you all twisted and strung out doesn't make what you feel any less true. I remember my own father's emotional manipulation. My feelings were valid then even if they were caused by him."
"Your father… will you tell me about his manipulations?" I asked. I bent low and ran my lips over hers. I threaded and held her bottom lip between my own and she let out a little sigh through her nose. I watched her eyes flutter shut and I reached my long arms around her waist and just held her close to me. She put both her small hands on my chest and let out a hum into the kiss.
"I will if you let me," she whispered when I finally broke off the kiss. "Are you going to let me?"
"Tempted to not…" I groaned.
"He brought up my mother a lot. He liked to imply that I was responsible for her drinking habits. I wasn't. She had only herself to blame for them."
"Your mother was a hard drinker?” I confirmed. I think she’d told me before but it had been a while.
"Yes, she was. Ever since I was very young. My father was sober and in control throughout most of my life. It wasn't a good thing. I wonder sometimes if my mother would have been a better parent even as a drunk. Or perhaps no one at all. At least I had my butler, Klein. He really raised me."
"Well, not to shave off your suffering, but I think you turned out pretty good. Good enough to keep," I informed her.
"You would say that," she said softly. But she had a small smile quirking her lips to let me know I scored at least a few points with her.
"How did the election go last night? I went to bed and didn't pay it any attention."
"I forgot, myself. But when I woke up this morning Robyn won her seat. She's a sitting member of the council now, with Ironwood. But there's some investigation going on into the election. Electronic voter tampering."
"Sounds like bad news for Mantle. But then what isn't in this place?"
"You're so pessimistic, my gods," she laughed at me a little. "Good thing Ruby is around to balance me out or I might join you down there. She keeps me balanced."
"It's my experience. All my recent, which is to say real memories usually involve somebody I care about dying. Or worse."
"We're here for you. So don't be all doom and gloom. You have two beautiful girlfriends."
"Little arrogant of you, don't you think."
"Please," she retorted. Swishing her hair back behind her. "I am beautiful."
"Don't forget narcissistic."
"You don't go down that road. This is the part where you agree with me. Didn't you say boyfriends agree with their smart girlfriends?"
"Hey, of course I think you're beautiful. First real crush, remember? Couldn't believe I thought I had a chance with you. Then it turns out that I did. Still can't really believe it."
"You just needed to change a little. To grow up some, lose the fake confidence and get your hands on something real."
"Change my look, too. That probably helped."
"Now who's being narcissistic."
"Please," I pushed a hand back through my hair. "I am beautiful," I managed a passable imitation of her and she beat my chest with a tiny fist in retaliation but she was giving me a sly smile.
"You don't go down that road either," she cautioned me.
"Fine. Fine. What's Ruby up to?" I asked.
"Still sleeping. I am an early riser, I wasn't sure you'd be up."
"Late to bed and early to rise? Aren't you burning your candle at both ends? And I was just up trying to turn my needle into a feather."
She shrugged. "I can't help it. It's a part of who I am. Did you have any luck?"
"Not really, no. I'm starting to doubt that I have Ozpin's brand of magic. My sisters didn't fight with it either or anything like that."
"Maybe you just need more time or more faith."
"Maybe…" I trailed. I looked down at her and she gave me an odd sort of pleading look her lips pursed out and her eyes closed. She looked scrumptious like that. I figured what she wanted and I bent down and I kissed her again while she hummed in satisfaction.

"I never even got to drive the bike yesterday. We were attacked by Cloud's sisters," Ruby said.
"What? You were? Why is this the first I'm hearing about this?" Yang asked around the dining hall breakfast table.
"You got in late, remember? You and Blake both. We were already asleep by the time you got back," Ruby responded. "Cloud took it poorly. I thought the experience might have knocked some screws loose for him."
"You mean a few more screws loose. Cloud doesn't scream stability."
"Blake!" Weiss hissed.
"No, no," I said. "Blake's got a point."
"Well you don't have to agree with her," Weiss muttered. She shook her head at me. Plait waving slightly as she did. We'd split up and she'd gone back to her room in the early AM to get it done.
"She does though. I'm not the sanest of individuals."
"That's not your fault," Ruby told me. She reached out and stroked my arm.
"So I have more excuses than your average person. Salem's influence, the way I was grown, probably some other factors I can't think of… the list goes on." I shrugged through a bite of eggs. "Plus I think I did almost lose it yesterday. My head still hurts off of it."
"You sure that's not just because what's her name shot you in the head a couple of times?" Ruby asked.
"Saphron. And not entirely."
"How many times did you get shot exactly yesterday evening?" Blake asked.
"I forget. She was really hitting me in the head a bit. I'm not immune to headshots."
"Then she hit you with that knife…" Ruby reached out and touched my face. "She cut your cheek. You'll have a little scar there, I think."
I reached up and touched where I'd been cut next to Ruby's own fingers. There was a triangular scab on my cheek. Ruby was probably right.
"And there goes my good looks. You will be missed, we hardly knew ye."
"Oh stop it. You'll look fine," Ruby sighed exasperatedly but she smiled up at me.
"They never really got through my aura. A bit like you. You got shot yesterday too."
"I was fine." She waved off. "My aura protected me from everything but a bit of pain. Thanks though."
"A bit late for that kind of worry, isn't it?" Yang asked.
"It's the thought that counts." Ruby returned. "And Cloud was really out of it last night. He was delirious and talking about a family reunion."
I shuddered.
"A family reunion for Cloud. Get me the fuck away. His family is problems," Yang said. "No offense Cloud but your family has issues."
"I'm really the only one with issues. All my sisters seemed fine. The ones I met did at least."
"They tried to kill you," Blake pointed out. Jabbing a fork at me as she did.
"I think I'm the black sheep," I muttered. "They even seem to get along with Mother fine. No, it's just me that has a problem. I am the failure, after all."
"And your sisters are all successes?" Oscar asked. He'd been quiet in his new huntsman outfit. A suit jacket with a white undershirt and orange gloves.
I nodded.
"Well according to who? The people that made you all? Those aren't good people anyways. What would they know about being a failure or a success."
"Yeah. We're not taking a bunch of mad scientists' word on it," Ruby followed. "You're not a failure to us, Cloud."
I took a bite of banana and said nothing. They didn't really get it. I was a failure in a scientific sense. Not a moral one. I was just a prototype for those models which came later.
"Do you know your sisters' names?" Blake asked.
"Iris, Juniper, Kolumbine, Saphron, Violet, Lily, and Lavender," I told her.
"They're all flowers. They have pretty names, at least," Yang said. She took a forkful of her own food.
"I told the others this but they're like car models, the successes."
"That sucks to think about people like cars. And you're what? Jealous of that?" Yang asked.
"I wish I'd been built better. I guess,” I defended my feelings. It sucked to think about myself as the kind of failure I was. “Might as well just end it all, the way I see it.”
"Bad, Cloud. No suicidal thoughts," Ruby scolded. She hit me, harder than flirtatious. "You need to want to live."
"Damn, Ruby, let him alone. He's going through a lot right now," Yang protested. "Just listen to his family problems."
"That still isn't the kind of line of thinking we want to encourage in him," Weiss retorted in Yang's direction. "We want him to be on the bonuses of living. Not thinking about how bad things could be."
"'How bad things could be,'" I quoted. "My fucking family is literally the worst, isn't it?" I asked nobody in particular. I took another bite of banana. "It's just me that's this side of fucked up as opposed to the other side. The other side of fucked up, that is."

Flirting game Jaune vs yang
Jaune was sitting peacefully in the common area of the Atlas dorms. His taskings and missions complete, he relaxed with an X-Ray and Vav comic he procured last week. The comic was about the Corp-Pirate's most recent and fiendish plot to embezzle all the gold in the city.
Jaune enjoyed this comic series. There was something about the most mundane of superheroes fighting the city's most sinister members of the criminal underworld, using the most mundane tactics to do so, enthralled his inner hero.
He also enjoyed how barely anything changes in these comics. The last issue he read before was Issue #40: The Mad King's Regards, and this current one he is reading is Issue #67: Less For Gold. In the last issue, #40, the Mad King has hypnotized Mogar into attacking his criminal rivals, ending with Vav facing against Mogar alone with X-Ray fought The Mad King. What happened next? Who cares! The next issue would resolve it, then on to the next story.
"Jaune?" A voice called to him. He looked away from his comic and saw Weiss was standing in front of him, her arms crossed. Once she had his attention, she spoke. "Am I too small?"
"No." Jaune then returned to his comic. This was the wrong answer because she tore the comic from his hand. Literally. If it wasn't for his aura, Jaune was sure he would have lost his hands to papercuts.
"I'm serious!" Weiss snarled, red in the face. She then fidgeted uncomfortably as she continued. "I know I don't have a double D size or wear the biggest pants, but," Weiss paused, nervously chewing on her thumbnail. "I just feel like everybody wants a big girl, and I'm just not up to it."
"Okay." Jaune said cautiously. "So, what was your question?"
"Am I too small?" Weiss repeated. Jaune sat in silence. Was he thinking of a lie? An excuse? Or was he just going to reach for his comic again? Weiss silently wished that would happen, just so she could vent some frustration.
"Turn around." Weiss blinked. Confusion was plain for all to see on her face. "Turn around." He said again. "Trust me, it's important to answer your question."
"Very well," Weiss said as she turned, "but I don't see how this will he-Elp!" Weiss yelped as she felt hands grip her love handles, g ed gently yet firmly, and pulled her down onto the stone-hard body of her neighboring team's leader. Seriously, was he made of iron or something?
Jaune turned Weiss around to position her to sit perpendicular to his form, with one arm behind her back and the other holding her bicep that was away from him closer to her body. He then stood up, shifting his arm from hers to behind her knees. He was holding her bridal style.
He set Weiss down with a smile. "I think you're the perfect size."
Weiss' face felt hot as she turned away. "Thank you!" She shouted, face red as though she had a fever. "I appreciate your candor. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to powder my nose!" Weiss bolted for the nearest bathroom and locked it.
Jaune sat back down to enjoy his comic. "So how many points was that?"
Yang stepped out from around the corner. "Meh, I give you a six out of ten."
Jaune set down his book. "A six?!"
"Yup. Six. Like only slightly, marginally above average."
"Did you see her face?!"
"Yeah, and?" Yang chuckled. "Princess in there has spent her entire life feeling alone. A guy saying hi to her would be enough to make her panties drop."
Jaune scoffed. "Whatever. That was an eight, at worst."
Yang laughed. "Yeah, keep telling yourself that, handsome! You're lucky you're cute". Shit! Hopefully he didn't catch on.
"Oho?" Jaune said.
'Double shit,' Yang thought.
"Cute? Handsome? Why, Yang, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were try to get into my pants." Jaune teased.
"Heh. Wouldn't be hard to get into your pants with an ass like that." Joke about his butt. That'll make him uncomfortable.
"You'd be surprised. These pants can get soooooo tight now and then." Jaune said, sliding his palms against his jeans as he spoke. "If only someone big and strong could help me loosen them."
Shit! He turned it around on her! What to do? What to do?!
"By the way, Yang..." Oh no. "...I was wondering if your mom was any good at baking."
"What?" Why was he bringing up her mother? That was an instant kill, in a tease or a flirt. "Nice try, vomit boy. Raven is a better butcher than she is a mother."
"That makes sense," Jaune replied, turning to face Yang, though not in the eyes, "'cause she sure knows how to make a breast and a thigh."
"Boo!" Yang shouted as she laughed. "That doesn't even make any sense! Zero points!"
"Oh, come on! Not even a pity point?" Jaune pouted.
"Rule number one, kid, always know your audience." Yang poked his nose. Jaune grumbled and returned to reading his comic.
Yang walked away, smirking. "Flirt Queen!" She shouted, raising her fists in the air. Unfortunately, in the midst of her celebration, she bumped into Blake.
Yang caught her, though the response Blake gave caught her off-guard. Blake thrusted herself deeper into Yang's embrace, piercing through the defensive barrier of her lips with her mighty tongue-spear, leaving no centimeter of her girlfriend's mouth untouched. Meanwhile, Blake started grinding her lower half against Yang's while simultaneously reaching under her shirt to cop-a-feel and into her pants backside to squeeze her ass.
These actions happening all at once caused Yang to overload. Blake released her and stepped back, admiring her work. Just as Yang whispered, "Why?" Blake blew a kiss to Yang, who toppled over.
Jaune stared in awe. Blake smirked at him. "What? Never heard of cats playing with their food?"
As Blake walked around the couch to seat herself, Weiss exited the bathroom. Her face looked slightly less flushed and she was taking calming breaths. As she entered the common area, she saw Yang splayed across the floor. "What happened to you?" Weiss asked.
Jaune snapped out his stupor to answer. "N-Nothing. Just a game we were playing."
"I take she lost?"
"Yup." Jaune turned around to finish his comic book. "We both did."

Also remember to let me know if you want to be added to the taglist!
Season 3a; Episode 10: The Overlooked
Pairings: Scott McCall x Twin Sister, Lydia Martin x Best Friend
Warnings: Just the typical teen wolf things
Word Count: 2,756
Season 3a Masterlist
Stiles, Scott, and I hide in the shadows of Derek's loft. We just finished telling him that our teacher, Jennifer Blake, is the Darach. Not even a minute later the steel door slides open and Ms. Blake calls out, "Derek? Derek, where are you?"
Derek steps out of the dark, "Right here."
She spins around so she can properly face him, "Thank God." She runs over, wrapping the Alpha in a tight hug. "Something happened at the recital. At the school. I need to tell you before you hear it- before you hear any of it from them."
"From who?" Derek asks.
"(Y/N), Scott, Stiles- they're going to tell you things. Things you can't believe. You have to trust me, okay? You trust me."
"What is it?"
"Promise you'll listen to me."
"I promise." Ms. Blake presses her lips to Derek's right after the words leave his mouth. When he doesn't kiss back she pulls away.
"They're already here, aren't they?" The three of us step out of our hiding spot. Ms. Blake backs away, like she's afraid of us. "So they told you it was me? That I'm the one taking people?"
"We told him you're the one killing people." Scott corrects.
"Oh, that's right. Committing human sacrifices. Cutting their throats? I probably do it during my lunch hour. That way I can get back to teaching high school English the rest of the day. That makes perfect sense."
"Where's my dad?" Stiles shakily asks.
"How would I know? Derek, tell me you don't believe this."
"Do you know what happened to Stiles' father?" Derek questions.
"No. I have no idea."
"Well, how about why you almost killed Lydia?" I ask, my glare hardening.
"Lydia Martin? I don't know anything about that."
"What do you know?" Derek snaps.
"I know these three teenagers, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story. One they can't prove, by the way."
"What if we could?" Scott asks, stopping Ms. Blake from continuing her rant.
She looks away from Derek and back over to Scott, finally noticing the vial in his hand. "What is that?"
"Mistletoe. My boss told me it's a poison and a cure. Which means you can use it, but it can also be used against you." Scott throws the mistletoe at Ms. Blake. She raises her hands but we can all still see how her face changes to show the slashed face of the Darach.
Derek flinches like he was punched then as soon as the dust settles he rushes towards Ms. Blake, grabbing her by her throat. "No, Derek wait- wait, just wait. You need me."
"What are you?" Derek asks through gritted teeth.
"The only person who can save your sister." Derek freezes, "Call Peter. Call him."
Once Derek is off the phone with Peter he starts squeezing Jennifer's throat harder. "Derek? What are you doing?" Scott questions.
Jennifer chokes out, "Her life- it's in my hands."
"Stop. Derek, stop." Stiles calls out.
"Stilinski-you'll never find him."
"Derek, enough!" I yell at the Alpha, hoping he'll listen to me.
Finally he releases his grip, "That's right. You need me. All of you."
 *_*_*_*_*_*
In Stiles' jeep, we follow Derek's car to the hospital. "We're going to find your Dad." Scott says.
"Alive." I add.
Stiles sighs, "How do we know he's not already..."
"He's not. We're going to find him." Scott reassures.
"Something feels wrong about this. We proved it to Derek, but she had this look like it didn't matter. Like it was all still going according to plan. You saw it, didn't you?"
Scott reluctantly nods as I answer, "Yeah, and I have a feeling."
"You have a feeling?"
"I have a feeling." I confirm.
"Danger sense?" Scott asks.
"It- it's not the danger sense. More like a pre- danger sense. I know something bad is going to happen but it doesn't feel like someone's going to die."
"Well, that could be a good thing."
I shrug, "It could be."
 *_*_*_*_*_*
Once at the hospital Stiles parks the jeep beside Derek's car. The hospital is in a frenzy due to people evacuating because of the storm. Stiles pulls a wooden baseball bat out of his car, causing Scott and I to pause. "You got claws. I got a bat."
We enter the hospital through a side door, stopping when we hear our mom call, "(Y/N), Scott?" We turn to look at her as she continues, "What are you doing here? The hospital's evacuating."
"We're here for Cora." Scott answers.
"All of you? And why does Stiles have a bat?"
"Mom, trust me on this. You need to get out of here. Right now."
She looks past Scott and I to see Derek holding on to Jennifer, "The building is supposed to be clear in thirty minutes. We've got two more ambulances coming back. One is ten minute's out. The other's twenty. Cora needs to be on one of those. They'll be picking up in the basement garage."
"Got it, be safe." I say, giving her a quick peck on the cheek.
"You too." She whispers, watching us walk away.
In the elevator we all keep a close eye on Jennifer. "You don't need to keep me on a leash, Derek. I'm going to help." We all stay silent, Derek still tightly gripping her upper arm.
One we step out of the elevator Derek lets go of Jennifer to look for his sister. Instead of seeing Cora and Peter we see an empty bed and black throw up on the floor. "Derek." Scott calls, gesturing in the direction of the black drops.
We carefully walk towards the double doors, but before we can push them open a body soars through them. Groaning, Peter looks up, "We got a problem." He turns his attention back towards who attacked him, "Big problem." Through the doors are the twins in their combined Alpha form.
 *_*_*_*_*_*
Derek, Scott, and I all quickly switch to our werewolf forms. I try and attack but am quickly overpowered. The twins throw me into the wall, "Ethan, Aiden-stop. You don't know what you're doing." Scott says.
"All we want is her." The twins say, gesturing towards Jennifer, who is slipping back into the elevator.
"That bitch." I grunt out as I shove myself off the floor. We all quickly run away from the twins. We run behind Stiles, Peter, and an unconscious Cora, who is being carried in Peter’s arms.
Stiles, trying to be helpful, decides to try and take the twins by surprise. He hides next to the door and once the twins walk through he swings the bat at their face. The bat breaks as it comes in contact with their cheek.
The twins turn towards Stiles, who now has a look of pure horror on his face, and roars. Stiles begins to take steps back to put as much distance between himself and the twins as possible.
I hear Scott say to Derek, "Give me a lift." Then a few seconds later Scott is flying through the air, ripping out the light fixture, and sending it to land on the twins head.
I quickly grab a hold of Stiles, getting him to run with me away from the twins.
 *_*_*_*_*_*
Peter and Stiles rush into an operating room. Derek, Scott and I are right behind them. "Where's the big guy?" Peter asks once he puts Cora down.
"Close." Derek states.
"What about Ms. Blake?" Stiles questions.
Scott and I shake our heads, "The last I saw her she was getting into the elevator." I answer.
"What? Like she's gone?" Stiles asks.
"Quiet." Derek scolds.
"Me by quiet? You're telling me what to do? When your psychotic mass murdering girlfriend- the second one you've dated by the way- has my dad tied up somewhere waiting to be ritually sacrificed?"
I walk over to Stiles and gently grab his face, "Hey, hey. He's going to be alright. I promise. Just breath, okay?"
"You can't promise that, (Y/N/N)."
"I just did. And I don't break my promises." Stiles swallows and nods.
From behind me, Scott asks Peter, "Is she really dying?"
"She's definitely not getting any better." Peter answers, looking down at his niece. As Peter answers, I finally let go of Stiles’ face so we can both properly listen in to the conversation.
"There has to be something we can do. We have to help her."
"You can't." We all turn to the new voice. Jennifer is back, standing on the opposite side of the room, "Only I can. I can save her and I can tell you where Sheriff Stilinski is. But there's a pack of Alpha's in this hospital who want me dead. I'll help you only when I'm out of here and safe. Only then."
Derek instantly tries to attack her but Scott stops him. "Derek, wait-"
"She was trying to get out."
"I was trying to keep from getting killed. You can't blame me for that." Jennifer argues.
"You want to show us you're one of the good guys?" Stiles asks, he then points to Cora, "Heal her."
"Not until I'm safe."
"That doesn't seem fair. We need two things from you yet you only need one from us. How do we know that the minute we get you to safety you won't just take off?" I ask.
Jennifer shakes her head, "I've never met a Zeta before but if they're anything like you I really hope I don't meet anymore."
"Yeah, well this Zeta isn't particularly fond of you either."
"I'd like to volunteer a different method of persuasion." Peter pipes up, "How about we torture her?"
"Works for me." Derek replies.
At the same time I say, "Sounds like a plan."
Before we get the chance to act on our threat, the PA system crackles to life. "Um... Can I have your attention."
"Mom?" I whisper.
"Mr. Deucalion- excuse me, just Deucalion- requests you bring the woman calling herself Jennifer Blake to the ER reception. Do this and everyone else can leave. You have ten minutes."
"He's not going to hurt her." Jennifer says the second the PA clicks off.
"Shut up." Derek snaps.
"He won't. Scott, you know why. Tell them it's true."
"What does she mean?"
"Scott?" I ask, looking at my twin.
"You're not the only one he wants in his pack." Jennifer continues. "Deucalion doesn't just want an Alpha pack. He wants perfection. That means adding the rarest of Alphas to his ranks."
"A True Alpha." Peter says, a look of awe on his face.
"What's that?" Stiles asks.
"The kind that doesn't have to steal the power from another. The kind that can rise by their own force of will. Our little Scott."
"It doesn't matter." Scott says, he nods to Jennifer, "We still have to get her out of here."
Jennifer smirks, "You don't realize that it's not just you he wants."
"What's that supposed to mean? Why would he want-" I pause, cutting myself off. "He wants me?"
Jennifer nods, "Took you long enough to figure it out. You may not be an Alpha, but Zeta's are incredibly powerful. And if he can find an Alpha for you to kill, maybe even sacrificing one of his own, you'll be even stronger."
There's a brief pause, Scott finally breaks it, "We need a plan to get her out of here."
"But your mom-" Stiles tries to argue.
"My mom said there was one more ambulance coming in twenty minutes. I don't think we've been here that long. If we could get down to the garage, we could get that last ambulance and get out of here."
"The twins aren't going to just let us walk out the door." Peter states.
"I'll distract them."
"You mean fight them." Derek says.
"Whatever I have to do."
"I'll help."
"Sorry, but I'm not going anywhere without you, Derek." Ms. Blake interrupts.
"I'll do it. But I'd prefer going out there with an advantage." Peter says.
"What's that mean? Like a weapon?" Stiles asks.
"Something better than a baseball bat, yes." We quickly start looking around the room trying to find something that Peter could use to aid him in the fight against the twins.
Stiles raises a set of defibrillator paddles, "Do you even know how to use those?" Derek asks.
"No." Stiles replies.
"Then put them down."
"Epinephrine?" Scott asks, holding up a syringe with a clear liquid inside.
"That would just make them stronger," I answer, not looking up from my search.
I only stop looking around when I hear Peter ask, "How strong?"
 *_*_*_*_*_*
Stiles and I lead Jennifer and Derek, with a still unconscious Cora, through the garage. "It's still here." Stiles states when he sees the ambulance parked.
Derek places his sister down on the gurney then walks over to Jennifer who just called his name. Stiles and I then hear Kali calling for Ms. Blake, though she calls her Julia, the name that Jennifer used to go by.
I quickly push Stiles into the back of the ambulance then hop in behind him, shutting the doors. I put a finger to my lips telling him to stay quiet.
When I know that Kali, Derek, and Jennifer are gone I look at Stiles, "Lock the doors behind me."
"(Y/N), what are you-" I don't let him finish the question though because I am already out of the door and moving heading back into the hospital.
Rushing inside, I strain my ears to hear anyone that is on my side. I tilt my head, listening to some people talking. I quickly realize that it's Isaac, Allison, and Mr. Argent and make my way to them.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask as I walk about behind them.
Argent turns around quickly, his gun aimed at my head. "Woah, just me." I state, raising my hands in surrender.
Argent lowers the gun. "Don't sneak up on us next time."
"Noted. But seriously why are you here? The hospital is supposed to be evacuated and it's really not safe here with the Alpha pack on a rampage."
Allison opens her mouth to explain but before she can we hear Scott, "Allison?"
All together now Scott explains to us that Jennifer and Derek are stuck in the elevator. "So they're essentially trapped?" Argent asks.
Scott nods. "There's no way to get them out without turning the power back on?" Isaac questions.
"Wait, when the power's back on, they'll hear the elevator moving, right?" Mom asks.
"And they'll be on Jennifer and Derek as soon as it stops. we can't get into a fight with them."
"We need a distraction." I say.
"You've got us now." Argent replies.
"It's too much of a risk. They want her dead. And if she dies, there's nothing we can do about Stiles' dad or Cora."
"What if she's lying though? She could be just saying we need her so that we help her." Everyone looks at me with looks of wonder, "What? It's what I would do."
"I am so happy you're not the bad guy. You would be like an evil genius." Allison says, shaking her head with a small smile on her lips.
"I don't even think I know which teacher this is." Argent states.
"She's got brown hair, kind of hot." Isaac starts. We all throw him looks that pretty much say 'what the hell', "Just an observation."
"I've got an idea." Allison says.

Scott and I rush to meet Derek and Jennifer at the open elevator doors. But we stop in shock when we see an unconscious Derek. "Mom." We both whisper together, eyes widening at the realization that Jennifer was in fact lying to us.
"Go!" I scream at Scott. He rushes up to the roof to try and stop Jennifer from taking our mom while I rush to Derek trying to get him to wake up.
"Scott! Scott, wait!" I hear Stiles yell from behind me.
"Why are you here? I thought you were with Cora?" I ask as Stiles makes his way to me.
"They're getting out of here, we need to stop Scott."
"What? Stiles-" I yell after him, but he doesn't listen as he chases Scott up the stairs.
I shake my head but turn away, trying to wake Derek up once more.

What would it be like if rwbyjnor met the dutch, revy and rock
I don't understand the specifics of this request so I'll do this in the best way I can. This going to be long so be ready.
Rwby x Black lagoon
Black Lagoon crosses to Remnant:
Revy and Dutch along with team RWBY, Ren and Nora are fight a bunch of Beowolves while Jaune and Rock are fighting side by side with mostly Jaune doing most of the work while Rock provides a view tips and assisting mostly with what he can find.
Revy: So, let me get this straight you fight shit heads freaks of nature like these like every single day?
Ruby: Yep.
Dutch: And all of you have a very specific weapon that you customize yourselves to be it a blade and firearm?
Ren: Precisely.
Benny: And you have unnatural and natural resources like dust and with highly advanced technology?
Weiss: Yes.
Dutch: And you can use all that as well as this thing called aura along with a semblance?
Nora: Yeah, semblances are like a superpower.
Revy: How super?
Yang: Universal.
Revy: Well-
Revy looks to see Ruby turn her weapon from a sniper rifle to a scythe.
Revy: Dutch, can we stay here?
Dutch: HELL NO!!! Look, I hate to say this, but I much prefer seeing crazy psychos, and bullets fly than this horror fest. Plus, I may not be father but ya'll parents let you do this every day, they are very stupid and irresponsible.
Yang: Hey we're trained for this. Well except one.
Revy: Yeah that guy with Rock over there. He is doing fine but I can tell he's not all your levels. How did even survive let only get into your school?
Ruby: That we don't know or bother asking as long he works.
Revy: Well I can say that it's stupid but I still I wonder how he got in.
*Jaune and Rock side*
Rock: So, let’s get this straight. Your father never bothered to train you and no combat school was willing to accept you, so your best method was to cheat?
Jaune: Yeah, I know, I'm a complete fool.
Rock: I mean if you were willing to work hard to get there despite the risk, I say, you sir have my respect.
Jaune: But I am an idiot, I mean, I lost the only girl you who believed in me.
Rock: Jaune, let me give you a piece of advice. Get over yourself! If you still have even just one friend in this crazy messed up world then you're okay. Trust me, I know a little on how you feel. I mean look me compared to the others, do I look like I'm a mercenary?
Jaune: Why do hang out with them anyways?
Rock: Like you with your friends, mines, I guess appreciate my abilities. Look let's talk about this another time and try to survive this freak show.
Jaune: Deal.
RWBY and JNRO crosses to Black Lagoons:
Team RWBY and JNPR are fighting a mafia group along with Revy and Dutch. Ruby armed with a handgun, an old scythe and sniper with a bayonet, Weiss with a rapier and little knifes, Blake with a handgun and a katana, Yang with a shotgun and iron brazed knuckles, Jaune with an military armed shield, sword and rifle(Dutch taught him how to use it. Surprised it took him a week.) Nora with a grenade launcher, Ren dual wielding pistols and knives and Oscar with a pipe.
Revy: Holy crap, you brats are good even without your powers or usual weapons.
Ruby: We adapt.
Nora: Seriously, you guys do stuff like this every day?
Dutch: For the right price, yes. But yeah, you kids on a natural.
Yang: By the way, thanks for teaching Jaune how to use a gun.
Dutch: Thank Rock for making him listen, he said he wouldn't last long if he didn't. But in all seriously the guy learns quick, I mean, it took him a week to learn how you use that rifle.
Ren: A week! We need to start teaching him and make sure he brings one more often.
Nora: Might makes things easier from here on.
Jaune: Can all of stop talking and focus! We'll talk when we're done. Oscar, hurry up.
Oscar: Oh, I'm sorry but fighting with a pipe is hard!
Jaune: Why didn't you bring a sword!
Oscar: I will not kill!
After a crazy battle, the group along with Rock and Benny celebrated their victory at the bar. While the girls, as well as Ren and Oscar was living it up with Revy, Benny and Dutch, at the front bar Jaune and Rock were talking after Rock told him a stories about how his employers sold him out, the hell he endured in his stay Roanaper, Yukio, and his old client Garcia.
{Rock's side}
Jaune: Damn.
Rock: Yeah.
Jaune: Well, you did what you had to.
Rock: But I didn't have to. I should've walk away and not attached. I'm supposed to be the good guy, Jaune. But this city, I feel like it's eating me alive. All these mafia bosses, war criminals and shit... it's all just getting to me. You know.
Jaune: Yeah, I understand, but what are going to do about it? you made the choice to stay and you got live with it. I mean, hearing all the crap you've done, I somewhat envy you.
Rock: What do you mean?
Jaune: When Chang said pull out, you went in. Every time something bad happens you try to be the good guy and make things better. True it fails at times and from the look of this city, you'll have no choice but to throw righteousness away to survive.  But in my opinion, you still at least stand as the hero of the story.
Rock: *laugh* How so!? Come on tell me, how can I, a piece of under burying shit can possible still be a hero to you. The worthless knight, who can barely fight and couldn't save his partner!?
Jaune: Exactly. Most people survive based on luck.  You on the other hand survived not just on what you know but what learn in return. The world's a crazy place, and most of time you don't know where you'll end up. However, you still have control of what you do next. Your still able to keep people alive. You still do your job. You still try to be nice and maintain some level of morality even if it may never be enough or get you killed. So, trust me when I say this, you have done all what you could. Hell, I barely can do anything.
Rock: Shut up. When it comes down to it your friends are as crazy and trigger happy as Revy. They need somebody like you who can keep them alive. Just keep trying to do right by them and for yourself. Trust me, you can talk down to yourself all you want. But it doesn't change the fact that your alive, you made mistakes and you change. Promise you won't go down how I did, because believe me once you go too far in the darkness you may never come back from it. Or at least not be the same person you were before.
Jaune: Yeah. Plus, that Revy woman, I think you can trust her to help you back up or shoot you down when you have gone too far.
Rock: Really? How come?
Jaune: She talks about you all the time when she's drunk. She saves you even when you deserve to die for being stupid. And finally, she hasn't killed you yet despite the many times you've pissed her off.
Rock: Speaking of women, which one of those lovely ladies is your girlfriend?
Jaune: Funny I was about ask you the same between Revy and the blonde, named, Eda.
Rock: *laughing* To the C.M.F.?
Jaune:  To the C.M.F *Shared a toast with Rock and started drinking*
{Revy Side}
Ruby: So, Revy?
Revy: What is it little red?
Ruby: Are you and Rock dating?
Revy: *cracks glass cup while blushing* W-w-WHAT!? NO!! Of course not. Why the hell would you ask that?
Nora: You look at him a lot.
Blake: You talk to him the most.
Yang: An unlike most, you call him your partner.
Revy: Well yeah cause he's useful. That’s all. Nothing special.
Weiss: Really, cause when you got drunk last time, we asked you about him, you got an attitude and started talking crazy.
Revy: Oh.
Yang: So how-
Revy: We started off at the wrong foot and we're just making up as we go.
Yang: Well that's great and-
Revy: Can't say the same thing for you guys and your friend Jaune, though.
Nora: Pardon?
Revy: I'm just saying, don't think you know everything about your friend, hell I don't think he cares about any of you.
Blake: *angry glare* What makes you say that?
Revy: Well let’s be clear here. Jaune was loser with dreams, he was willing to make those dreams a reality, no matter the price he didn't know he'll have to pay. And guess what, the debt was do and it caused Pyrrha her life.
Yang: Maybe so but-
Revy: And before you all start giving him praise for what he accomplished, let me ask you something. How did he feel afterwards? I mean, losing the only person to ever provide with some sort of love and respect, a family that never believed in once in his life, I say the kid must been a loser for a long time. And if him and his Sapphron were the only two to ever bother to leave the nest, then that proves that the rest of his siblings are just good for nothing nobodies who scared of the world, or just found more meaning in their lives without having to leave the comfort of their home. Face it, like Rock, your friend got something to prove and he's willing to do whatever it takes to prove himself to everyone. Even if it causes him his life and his humanity.
Ruby: No. No, we won't-
Revy: And what are you people going to do? Hold his hand? Give him those morally great speeches of yours? Pathetic. Just like your friend Pyrrha who died a meaningless death for worthless, foolish old man, who could barely do the job he's was given by god himself.
RWBYN: *angry at Revy comment but grows to accept it*
Ren was about to start threatening however Dutch stops him by reestablishing that one shot can turn the bar into a war zone and showing Ren that Revy always has her trigger finger ready. So, Ren does nothing.
Revy: Face it, you guys aren't capable of saving him. But what do I know, I'm no hero nor do I want to be? The only guy I seem to care about is changing and I don't know how he's going to turn out. To think that I might have to shoot him down someday. But fuck it, that’s just of missed up every world is.
Dutch: Wow Revy you changed.
Revy: What?
Benny: You act less bitchy than you were before and now you’re a little more open with others. Rock must have touched your heart.
Revy: Shut up, Benny. *looking red all over her face*
Everyone laughs at her embarrassment.
Revy: Oh, shut the fuck up you cunts! Hm. Anyways which one you are dating that knight in shining armor anyways since you're all worried about him?
Nora: I already got a boyfriend.
Revy: You mean twinkle toes right there. Mr. Emmo.
Nora: You must want to fight.
Revy: Anyone?
RWBY: Nope.
Revy: *makes a call*
Eda: Hey bitch, what do want?
Revy: Hey Eda do you like blondes? Because I got an average looking-
Eda barges in with her short green skirt and pink top shirt on. She looks at Revy, knowing what she wants, Revy points to Jaune with Rock and Eda makes her. She walks with hips swaying from side to side and sit between Rock and Jaune.
Rock: *surprised* Eda, what are doing here? When you did you get here?
Eda: Oh, Rock honey, I’m just taking advantage of my opportunities. *Sees Jaune staring in amazement. She smiles* Say, I heard rumors about you and your blonde friend right here and was wondering if you two would have some-
Revy and Weiss both break their glasses and make their way over.
Revy and Weiss: STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM YOU CUNT!!!
Revy surprised how Weiss and she were in complete sink and while she smug, Weiss was embarrassed.
Revy: Oh, so you like him like that.
Weiss: *grabs Jaune by the arm and pulls him away* EVERYONE! WE ARE LEAVING!
Jaune: But Weiss I finally found someone I can talk!
Weiss: YOU’LL PLENTY OF PEOPLE TO TALK TO ONCE WE GET HOME!!
Jaune: But Weiss- damn it, later Rock. See you someday.
Rock: God speed brother and remember everything I told you.
Jaune: You as well and good luck.
A bright light was opened and just like that the kids disappeared. Back to their universe. Revy and Rock were smiling but Rock, remembering what Jaune said about trust, ask Revy
Rock: Revy?
Revy: What up, partner?
Rock: Let’s say, I things took too far and made an enemy of someone who would want me killed. Will you be there to kill me instead? Even if you were paid to do so, will be there to stop me?
Revy: *smiles but then covers Rocks eyes so he never sees it* Of course. I got you into this, so you’re my responsibility. Partner.
Rock: *smiles* Thanks.

Firen Lhain:  Chapter 602:   Prismatic Confessions:  Part III/III
Blake sat on one of the beds in her room, Ilia sitting across from her on the other.
"I guess... I should explain..." Blake voiced, and Ilia just looked at her nervously. "Yang was my partner back in Beacon."
"Like... Adam?.." Ilia asked.
"I was SO afraid she would turn out like Adam, but Adam is not freedom, not independence, not even power or justice, he - is - spite. Yang is strength. She doesn't really know what to do with it, but... she's - not - out - to - destroy - the world. I kept her at arms length for the longest time... and... I can't believe I said that."
"Blake?.." Ilia quietly voiced.
"Adam," Blake said, fighting back tears, "cut off - her arm." Ilia did a double take before looking back at Blake. "But, apparently that wasn't enough to stop Yang." Blake shook her head, causing the tears to fall away, and developed weird smile on her lips. She then wiped her eyes. "Next we have Weiss, the... former... heir... to the Schnee Dust Corporation."
Ilia developed a terrified look. "She?.."
"Was disinherited for trying to help the people of Remnant. She became a Huntress so her father, who married into the family, wouldn't be the one to define the family name. As you might imagine..." Blake said with a bright smile, "we did not - get along - that well - at first. We learned to trust each other, love each other. Next is Ruby, who is," Blake said, and paused, "hope incarnate. She's the reason the rest of the team, the reason everyone, got back together. Just being around her makes me hopeful we can succeed."
"And... the buck?.." Ilia asked.
"He prefers hart, through he's actually a Caribou." Blake warmly said to her, "He's the warmest, gentlest warrior I've ever met."
"He did not feel..." Ilia tried to say.
"He didn't hurt you." Blake voiced, "I've seen him strip Yang's considerable Aura with a single punch." Ilia looked at her with wide eyes. "You can't tell me it didn't feel warm being carried by him."
"Even if I was being carried under his arm?" Ilia asked.
"Whom are you trying to convince?" Blake asked her, and Ilia stared into nothing for a moment.
"Wh... why... are you telling me this?" Ilia asked.
"Because," Blake voiced, "if you join us, it wouldn't be as my girlfriend... but you will still need to know how I feel about everyone here."
Ilia looked off into nothingness as she thought this over.
* * *
Blake walked down the stairs, only to step into the sisters shouting at each other. She didn't hear what Ruby had originally said.
"Chill, sis!" Yang shouted, "Everyone knows I've got it going on."
"But!" Ruby tried to say.
"But what, Sis?" Yang asked.
"I mean..." Ruby voiced.
Blake looked around inside, not seeing Jaune anywhere. It wasn't until she looked out on the patio that she found him. She walked out to the patio, closing the door behind her. Jaune turned his head briefly to see who it was before looking back over the night.
"I hope I'm not disturbing you." Blake nervously stated.
"A lot of things happened today," Jaune voiced, "but I wouldn't say disturbed is one of them."
"I'm not bothering you, am I?" she asked, as she nervously walked up to him.
"I honestly don't know." he said, and the two stared out into the darkness. "Just... so much happened today. It doesn't seem real. Does it?" he asked, and turned to her.
She nervously tried to look at him, but had to look back out into the darkness. Jaune turned to join her. "It, "she voiced, "makes far more sense than it really should."
"It, what?.." Jaune asked. "We can't... can we?.. I mean..."
"I mean," Blake said, and moved slightly towards him, "it makes more sense than it should." Blake took another step towards him, and then another snuggling up to him. He shook with a start for a moment and then continued staring into the darkness. He moved his arm around Blake, hovering over her shoulder, unsure of what to do. She grabbed his hand and pulled his arm around her. "You've never been shy, before." she voiced.
"It's never meant this much before." Jaune voiced. "You girls were always so unattainable. The most I thought I could expect was friendship. And you, along with my team, are the best friends I've ever had. I just... never... thought..."
"Never thought, what?" Yang asked as she walked over. "I've seen the way you look at us."
Jaune turned just enough to look back at her, trying not to disturb Blake, "With... respect..."
"Well... yeah..." Yang voiced, "but a little somethin' else. I've seen your eyes wonder, if you know what I'm saying." And Jaune sighed in reply.
"Okay, yes, you're all so amazingly beautiful." he stated.
"And apparently last night it was a cat burglar, as she decided to jump to the front of the line."
"I just... needed... someone..." Blake voiced.
"I could have..." Yang tried to say.
"You were having a... talk..." Blake voiced, "with your sister."
"Is there?.." Jaune voiced, "Actually a line, or?.."
With this Yang sighed. "Sorry." she voiced, as she walked up to Jaune's free side. When he didn't react she spoke up. "You've got two hands, and I expect you to use them." Jaune quickly wrapped his arm around Yang's shoulder. "So, we didn't want to fight about this, but this is my play. I'm a babe, and you certainly know that. I've caught you staring."
Yang squeezed Jaune and then slipped out of his arm, before returning to the house, Jaune's head following her before looking back at Blake..
"And?" Jaune asked, "this is yours?"
"Two Faunus," she said with a pause, "with eye-shine, staring out into the night?" Blake asked, "How could it not?"
"Exactly." Jaune said with a smile.
* * *
Jaune and Blake stepped inside, when a burst of rose petals appeared in front of them. "Okay!" Ruby shouted.
"Ruby?" Jaune asked, and Blake respectfully stepped away.
"So, Yang-and-Blake-made-their-move-and-I-want-to-make-my-move-but-I-really-don't-know-what-but-just-know-that-you're-the-first-one-to-talk-to-me-and-I-don't-think-I-could-live-without-you-and-I-wanted-to-thank-you-for-coming-with-me-and-I..."
"Easy, Ruby." Jaune stated.
"but?.." Ruby tried to ask.
"I don't think I could live without you, either." Jaune grumbled, "Which is one of the reasons this is so... difficult..."
Weiss cleared her throat, and Jaune looked over to her. Weiss had a light blue flush, and hands tented in front of her face; when she dropped them he saw a smile, "I do believe it is my turn." Jaune gave her a nervous smile.
"Is this going to be fancy?" Jaune asked, and Weiss nervously looked down and around, anywhere but at him. Ruby turned to leave but Jaune quickly pulled her into a powerful hug. He then kissed her on the head, let her go, and turned back to Weiss.
"I suppose?" Weiss teppidly asked, "candour is in order." She nervously looked up into his eyes. She breathed in deep for a moment. "Yes?" she nervously asked, and he lightly sighed.
"Remember, I want to spend time with you." Jaune stated, and Aurora appeared behind Weiss.
"As I expected." Aurora said, and Weiss jumped. She turned to glare at her. "I have made alternate arrangements."
"Aurora!" Weiss admonished her, and then breathed in deep, "And they are?"
"Not quite as fancy," Aurora voiced, "as he says, but a lot more private."
Weiss then looked at Jaune. "Well, he does seem to enjoy the idea..." She then turned to Aurora, "Very well. Dress will be?"
"Formal." Aurora said, and Weiss looked expectantly at Jaune.
"I... uh... walked here... with the clothing on my back." Jaune voiced.
"We could..." Weiss tried to say.
"After poking the dragon's den... queen... bitch..." Jaune voiced, "I would rather NOT be without my armour.
"Huntsmen are normally except from formal dress requirements," Aurora stated, "unless they are... well... Qrow..."
"You got a problem?" Qrow asked, and Aurora brushed her chin as she looked at him. "What, you don't like my beard?"
"That - "Aurora voiced, "is not - a beard."
Weiss looked at her incensed until Qrow just started laughing out loud. He then stood up and looked her in the eyes, "I like you." he said, and Aurora nervously looked away. "Oh, man, she's a keeper, Weiss."
"I will take your accolades into consideration," Weiss replied, "though, so far, she has been fantastic."
* * *
Weiss and Jaune walked along the street, side-by-side as they followed behind Aurora. "So, tell me?.." Weiss nervously asked, "Did you truly walk across two continents with but one set of clothes?"
"Well," Jaune voiced, "I did bring spare socks and underwear."
"And... who has been cleaning it?.." Weiss asked.
"The laundry fairy." Jaune stated.
Weiss smiled for a moment, "I doubt you mean that seriously."
"I think it's Ren," Jaune stated, "though I'm not sure, but Ren seems like the most likely candidate."
"Are you?.. serious?.." Weiss asked him.
"100%," Jaune replied, "swear to the good god. My clothes were always clean by the time I was done bathing."
"You - bathed?," Weiss asked, "Out in the open?.."
"Ruby and Nora always turn around, and Pyrrha was the same way."
"And I suppose you were just as much of a gentleman?" Weiss asked.
"Of course." Jaune said. "Trust is incredibly important."
"And as a former noble, you have your honour to think of." Weiss said, and Jaune sighed. "I'm sorry, I did not mean..."
"No..." Jaune voiced. "Whether that's why, or not, I try to always mean what I say."
"Your earnestness is infectious." Weiss replied. "Just please stay your charming self, and not the one I first met."
"Uh... yeah..." Jaune said, and then let out awkward laughter. "I was pretty terrible." he added, and Weiss giggled.
"Looking back on it, it's almost a fond memory, but... yes... you were. I much prefer this charming gentleman."
"Hardly... gentle..." Jaune voiced.
"You can be a bit of a lummox, but you are always genuine, always wanting to help. Too bad it took being a bird locked in a cage to make me realize it."
"I kind of find that hard to believe." Jaune voiced.
"Oh?" Weiss asked.
"Being in a bird cage and not trying to pick the lock or something?" Jaune.
"I tried to find lawyers to take my case, but the only ones I knew were the family lawyers."
"Ah..." Jaune voiced.
"They were right in that it was a conflict of interest." Weiss voiced.
"So?," Jaune asked, "then what did you do?"
"Hire Aurora." Weiss said, and made a thrusting movement with an invisible rapier, "And had her offshore my savings so I could be supported once I escape."
* * *
Weiss and Jaune sat on a table on a balcony, overlooking the night as a sommelier poured their wine.
* * *
Aurora opened the door to the house and walked inside, stepping aside so that Jaune could walk in arm-in-arm with Weiss. A burst of rose petals appeared in front of them.
"How was your wine tasting?" Ruby eagerly asked, trying her best not to be judgemental, or jealous, or at least less socially awkward than she usually was.
Jaune stepped forward to kiss her on her lips. Ruby turned pale(r) and nearly fainted.
"I suppose we can blame that on the wine." Weiss said with a smile, and then stepped forward to do the same. This time Ruby's knees did buckle, and luckily Jaune was ready to catch her. He picked her up like a princess and walked her over to the couch. He gently put her down, and stood up, staring at her. He dropped his hand and cupped her face before gently stroking her hair.
"Shit," Yang said, "you don't take any prisoners."
"You have your," Jaune said, and thought, "bodacious play. Blake had her quiet, Weiss her company. I had to give Ruby something."
"And ice queen?" Yang asked.
"My plan is to blame it on the wine." Weiss said with a bright smile.
