"Jungkook," you say his name a bit in a scolding way, but the smile gracing your features tells otherwise. You pull your clothes out of the drier, folding them neatly on top of the machine before dropping them in your basket. "I don't know, it's... it's not-"

He interrupts you as you stay indecisive, his eyes round and so, so filled with hope. He helps you fold your clothes while you're talking together. This time he stops after having dropped your folded jeans in the basket, gently grabbing your bicep to make you face him.

"Just... why not?" He softly asks, your eyes finally meeting him. You still haven't folded the piece of clothing you're holding, but you look at him anyway. "One date, that's it! Nothing more if you don't want to, but if you want... you know I wouldn't mind," he grins and you can't help but do the same.

You sigh, defeated, because there's really nothing holding you back other than yourself. You would like to, but you keep overthinking.

"But what happens after? You'll still be friends with Jimin and..." You bite down on your lip, stopping mid-sentence, not sure what you're worrying about exactly.

The past, maybe. The implications, the consequences, how you'll see yourself after that. Things with Jungkook started being different when you came back for the summer break. You haven't seen him in years because you were studying abroad and seeing him again is, to say the least, special.

Jungkook is someone very loyal, he stayed in contact with your brother and made plans the minute he knew Jimin was back in town for the summer.

The loyalty he has for your brother you would have never noticed it before, but now it does something to you. You like it, you like that he doesn't forget years of friendship, that it still means a lot to him.

"And what? Jimin's a big boy," Jungkook justifies. "And so am I," he adds, making you smile. He is a big boy, that's for sure. "We'll handle it."

You look into his eyes when he says those words, staring back at you with a serious expression. He often laughs, but you know it when he speaks seriously, like right now.

You think for a moment, a short moment, comparing the pros and cons. You realize the cons are just things you worry could happen, that you're not even sure they would end up being true. Thinking twice, you don't think it's worth it to rely on the cons.

"The real question is... can you handle me?" You flirt and Jungkook surely likes this.

He smirks, his eyes looking at you up and down. Before, he would have responded no, that he can't handle you, that you're too good — too much — for him.

But now, heck yes he can.

He steps closer and takes your right hand, a stupid little grin on his face. "Can you..." He begins, passing your hand under his tank top, your fingers brushing against his abs. "Handle that?"

You're surprised, but you appreciate how he's blunt with you, not scared at all to shoot his shot. You voluntarily don't take your hand away immediately, though you remember you're not exactly in a private place.

"Jungkook!" You scold, but still giggle it off.

"Don't reject me," he pouts, and he genuinely looks sad.

You sigh again, knowing you don't really want to refuse his proposition. You enjoy his presence, he's funny and he always manages to make you laugh even when you're not feeling well.

He's an adult and so much more mature than other guys your age. He's attractive, so kind and attentive. He's a good man and Jungkook's right, it doesn't matter what others will think — aka Jimin.

"Okay. Go for a date."

is laios touden happy?

I keep coming back to the question that a lot of Dungeon Meshi (manga) fans seem to be asking: is Laios happy at the end?

My two cents on this is: well, yeah. He actually is.

He’s sacrificed a lot, it seems, far more than all of the other characters. He’s the driving force behind the reason they survived to save Falin - through eating the monsters. Only in the end, he’s not able to explore dungeons, be near monsters (RIP his special interest) or even eat without feeling 30% empty. It’s a real tough bargain.

But that’s the whole point. And that loss makes the story so much more impactful to me.

When talking with the Winged Lion at the end, Laios’ true desires appear. But we can see through Mithrun, Thistle and Marcille’s time as Dungeon Lords that The Winged Lion seems to expose really selfish wishes that, whilst having good intent, don’t end up benefiting others the way the Dungeon Lord wants.

Obvious as it may seem, Laios’ true main wish IS to save Falin over the course of his storyline. It’s what drives him despite having other, arguably impossible, desires that he longs for.

Even though Laios wishes to become a monster, this desire has never overtaken his motivation in any other part of the narrative.

Yes, he loses a lot. But he’s gained Falin.

It seems obvious, but that’s the key to why I think this is a good ending for him. It’s about sacrifice. Itsusumi is a great microcosm for this - you have to do things you don’t want to do, eat things you don’t want to eat. You also have to give up things you don’t want to in order to gain more.

The similarity between Dungeon Meshi and Fullmetal Alchemist (manga) is wonderful to me. Both stories explore the giving and taking of life and the goals of our lives.

At FMA’s conclusion, Ed sacrifices his ability to do alchemy; the reason the whole story started. It cost him and Al so much, but also helped them recover what they’d lost and literally save the world (are we starting to see the similarity?). Whenever I reread FMA, it’s sometimes hard watching Ed give up all his talent and everything he worked towards. What does he have without it? But for him, in that moment, it’s not such a difficult price to pay to get his brother back.

Maybe Laios is not aware of how much he would lose when he defeats the Winged Lion. But we do know he wants his friends and Falin to be saved, even if he dies. But that’s the thing! Both he and Falin are prepared to die to save their loved ones, but what about being prepared to LIVE to save their loved ones?

In our lives, we won’t often be sacrificing our lives for people, but we might be faced with a choice to give up things we love for people we love. Losing his life would be the easy way out (a great example of this is through Mithrun. It takes conscious effort to live. It seems so much simpler to die). Losing your dreams is hard, but that’s what it ended up costing for the safety of not just Laios’ friends but the world. He made that choice, now he must live with it. Even if he’s not fully happy at the end of the narrative, he still can be. You can be happy without having everything you desperately desire. That’s Dungeon Meshi.

Dungeon Meshi’s theme of neurodivergence fit into this really well. Personally, I think Laios is the perfect person to become King, possibly because he doesn’t think he should be. We know it’s not necessarily what he wants to do most. Heck, we know he doesn’t even like people that much and they don’t even seem to like him. But that’s what will make him the perfect candidate. Unlike others, he doesn’t have some high and mighty vision of becoming revolutionary at the end, nor does he have misconceptions about his abilities. He is genuinely righteous and humble, whilst having his flaws.

Laios knows what it’s like to feel different, outcasted by the world. But despite being awkward, strange, having weird interests and an inability to read social cues; people that once hated him ultimately end up having his back. There are bound to be others like him in his world (and ours), who don’t feel like they belong within humanity. People that would want a benevolent leader who genuinely cares and is enthused about things that don’t fit the norm because he doesn’t either.

It’s not his dream job but I believe he will eventually settle into it. We see this in the extra chapter where he willingly gives up his sword. That hit me hard. It felt a bit like a betrayal, like he was giving up who he was and everything he had worked for. But maybe it just shows that it’s okay that he couldn’t achieve all his desires. At least now Falin can achieve hers, and wasn’t that his fear for so long? That she would be lost and alone without him?

But now, because of Laios, Falin has the ability to choose her own path. She can choose make to leave as he once left her without the fear and guilt that Laois felt with his own departure. It shows both of them that it’s okay for them to take separate paths. They can grow and change and love each other from wherever they are. That protection, that survival and that connection between people is at the heart of Dungeon Meshi to me.

Both Laios and Falin choose to live. When Laios eats the Winged Lion’s appetite and Falin returns it’s down to their own decision. The choice to eat; the choice to experience life the way it was intended, with all its thorns. When they eat the monstrous parts of themselves they choose to be human, they choose the consequences of life, they choose to change and to go forwards. They are two sides of the same coin.

It seems only just that after all Laios has been through and after all we’ve seen him do, he should be allowed a perfect happy ending. But that’s just not Dungeon Meshi, is it?

There will always be sacrifices. Dungeon Meshi is not just about accepting life and death, but also accepting the possibility that you may not achieve everything you want, that things will not always go to plan but that you can always achieve other things despite this.

Laios has made his choice to become King. Just like the choice to eat, it’s another part of life and of moving forward. Think of all the good he could do. I think he can be happy. That’s life.

What's the deal with fanon Tim bc I read some comics with Tim and I've seen him in cartoons but all I see people talk about is "haha coffee addicted nerd who doesn't sleep!" and that just seems weird and wrong. Like my view of Tim has always been "he's a nice and extremely smart guy who sometimes pushes things a bit too far and maybe a bit set in his own ways/Batman's ways" but now I'm not even sure of that because I really haven't read THAT much (mostly seen him in other series) lol

So I understand where the coffee addiction in fanon comes from but Tim's not actually addicted to coffee in the comics. I actually don't recall him mentioning coffee at all. At some point he might have but if he did, then those instances are so little in the grand scheme of things it might as well be called negligible if it's trying to be called an addiction.

But more importantly, Tim is so much more than that!! My favorite Tim Drake aspect of him is how sassy and sarcastic he is, it makes him so endearing!!

In all honesty I find Tim the funniest of the entire batfamily to read because he's so-he's so wholesomely quirky in a mean way. That's such as awkward way to describe it but reading his comics, you just can't get enough of them because he's just too funny!

At one point he has a massive fever and stuck underground with a bunch of weird kids and one of the girls is just like "please get better, please get some rest!" as she's wiping away his sweat and Tim has like no breath or energy at this point. But with the last remains of will power, he uses his breath to push one last question between lips.

Like his situation and his question there's a massive gap that's almost incomprehensible about it all which is why it's so fantastic!!

But Tim overall is just like a normal kid. He's what authors tried to do with Stephanie but failed. They were able to make him relatable to the audience because the way he acts, it's so quirky but funny. Yes, he's a boy detective genius but he likes messing with people, he likes solving crime, he likes hanging out with his big brother, he asks for relationship advice, he can get insecure, he can get upset without acting cold, he gets tired, he gets anxious, he's determined, and he's super dorky.

This scene is probably what explains him best. Tim is someone who ponders a lot. He thinks constantly all the time whether it's about cases or his personal life, he just goes over the choices he makes constantly because he's just soul-searching alot.

He always means well even if he's awkward about it and he's just a diverse personality overall. The fanon interpretation of his character doesn't really do him any justice because it doesn't address how funny he is or confused or just a likeable, real person in general.

Today was supposed to be a relaxing day. A day off if you will.

The city had finally returned to normal after the Kraang invasion, and life was finally calming down. You and your new family were healing.

Then Donnie's radar picked up a huge spike of mystic energy across the city. So, you, Donnie, Casey and Raph were on your way to check ot out.

Mikey and April opting to stay back at the Lair to make sure Leo didn't attempt to strain himself, considering the red-eared slider was still very much recovering from his battle with Kraang Prime.

"Alright, keep your eyes peeled. We don't know what we're walking in on. Watch eachothers backs, got it?" Raph said, and you nodded along.

Donnie was tapping away on his tech brace, and Casey was crouched right next to you. The four of you stalked around the area quietly while Donnie attempted to find the exact location of the magic spike.

You were tense, your shoulders locked up as your mind went into warrior mode. Your steps were light, unheard like snowfall.

"It should be... just around this corner." Donnie muttered, and Raph moved to stand infront of you.

You noticed this was something he did alot after the events of the invasion, he'd place himself between the supposed threat and his family.

Cautiously, you peeked around the corner, much to Raph's protest as he was no longer infront.

What you saw made you gasp in shock, your eyes widening and your weapon dropping to the ground with a loud clatter.

The man (turtle?) standing infront of you spun around at the sound of your weapon dropping. The very sight of him sending you through a roller coaster of emotions.

Joy, denial, grief, and an overwhelming sense of safety.

"Papa..?" You muttered, and you watched as his eyes lit up the same way they always had at the sight of you and Casey.

Your eyes brimmed with tears as a hopeful grin split across your face.

"Hey there, birdy." He muttered, and without a second of hesitation you launched yourself into his arms with a choked laugh.

"Are you really here? Am I dreaming?" You asked, clinging to him like a life line. As if you were scared to let go for fear he's vanish.

"I'm here. I'm real." Papa responded, setting you down and wiping away your tears with a smile, "Where's your brother?"

You turned around, and smiled at Casey, who was standing next to Raph and Donnie with tears in his eyes. Papa motioned for Casey to come over, and CJ rushed over throwing his arms around Papa as best he could.

"We missed you." Casey sniffled, and Papa hugged the two of you tightly.

"I missed you guys too." He said, pulling away, then smiled proudly, "And look at you both! You got so big! Look at you, Case', you're all muscle now! And, (Name), you've... got bandages on your knuckles... why've you got bandages on your knuckles?"

You shrugged, rubbing the back of your neck, "I- uh I got into a fight- it's a long story."

Papa chuckled lightly, taking your hand in his own, "Well then, firecracker, tell me all about it on the walk, yeah?"

You nodded, smiling widely as you looked up at the man you never thought you'd see again. Things were going to be complicated for a while, you'd need to help Papa fall into a new routine to keep him busy.

But you'd help him, the same way your family had helped you. You weren't in your timeline, but you were where it mattered.

With your family.

A/N: My first entry for the In A Flash CCC! This one was inspired by the folks over on Discord, you guys rock for helping me finish a fic after so long! I will try my best to write some more as the challenge continues. For this fic, it's been split up as 2 separate parts, the first part being mainly from Jin's perspective and the second continuing from Yves and Nokto's. Many thanks to @lorei-writes for the feedback and suggestions. Enjoy!

Jin Grandet was not a warlock. At least, not officially.

It wasn’t because he had a late start. Most children couldn’t even read spells from the rudimentary tomes at age six, let alone pronounce them. And it wasn’t as if he was without talent. It was common knowledge throughout the kingdoms that the sorcerer’s gene manifested strongest within royal bloodlines. No, the true reason Jin failed his Warlock Mastery Examination was far less magical than he’d like to admit.

But that’s a story for another time. And even if the minimum age to apply was fifteen, it didn’t mean he was barred from trying again another year. Heck, most applicants didn’t even make an attempt until they were double that! But of course, Chevalier came of age the next year, and while the exam was merely a formality for the prodigy, barely anyone bothered to register for that round. Fueled by fiery rivalry, Clavis was hot on Chevalier’s heels the year after that, and Jin was too preoccupied with helping him train to even consider enrolling himself. And just a few weeks prior, Leon passed his exam with flying colors. A feat Jin attributes to his apt sideline encouragement and diligent inspections of Leon’s daily meat intake.

So what if he didn’t pass? Jin could still perform magic as well as any warlock. He just didn’t have a staff to show for it. Instead, he could boast that the never-before-seen-three-year-streak of fifteen-year old graduates were his students.

“For the last time, we are not your students,” Yves declared.

“And why wouldn’t you want to be?” Jin asked. He waved a hand and the curtain of low-hanging branches before him parted, revealing a narrow dirt path ahead. “I have a one-hundred percent success rate. And you’re my next conquest, Yves.”

“Yeah, Evie. Why don’t you take him up on his offer?” Nokto said, following Licht as they climbed down after Jin. “Then you can tell us if he’s legit or not.”

“Oh, he’s the real deal,” Leon said. He took a steady stance beside a cherry oak and swung his newly acquired staff overhead, making all the barren trees in the vicinity shake and shoot their branches upward like spikes. Nokto watched in awe as Leon calmed the trees down and flashed him a toothy grin. “Can’t recommend the big guy enough.”

“No, no, no, my brothers. You mustn’t let the opinions of others sway your decision making!” Clavis said, pushing past Leon. “Ask yourselves this: do I want to be taught by a syrupy dropout, or by the youngest, most renowned warlock of our age?” He struck the ground with his own staff and the dirt rumbled. Moments later, roots and tubers erupted from the earth like the undead, making Yves screech and trip on an upright rose stem. Clavis laughed maniacally as the plants continued to grow, until Leon whacked him on the head and the vegetary scene immediately reverted underground as if it never happened.

“I’m younger than you, remember?” Leon countered.

“And I was younger than you both when I passed,” Chevalier added, his pace leisurely as he joined them.

“Yes, yes, you don’t have to remind us again how your test happened three days after your birthday,” Clavis said, rubbing his bruised forehead. “It is insufferably pedantic of you.

“Shall I remind everyone instead of how you only passed because the examiner happened to sneeze when you flubbed the fire retardancy enchantment on your trousers?”

“Like I said, little ones. Follow what Jin says, and you’ll do just fine,” Clavis said.

“If you’re done sharing my many virtues, hurry on over!” Jin called. The group exchanged speculative glances before filing through the unanimated greenery towards his excited voice.

Flummoxed by their seniors’ effortless display of magical prowess, Yves and Nokto insisted they take the lead, bewitching wayward wood knots and saplings from the path. Once or twice they glanced back, hopeful to receive praise for their successful spells, only to find the trio engrossed in their own conversation.

“Maybe he wants to take us all on at once? Six against one?” Leon suggested.

“Please,” Clavis yawned, stretching his arms above his head and waving his staff teasingly. “He could squash the kiddos, no problem. But he won’t get much farther than that unarmed.”

“He brought his sword. Or is your staff so far up your rear that you did not notice?” Chevalier said, swatting Clavis’s staff away from his face.

Yves and Nokto whirled their heads towards the track ahead, struggling to keep their attention back on moving the plants. Is that what this was all about? Despite Jin’s domineering stature, they had never once seen their brother in a fight. But Jin also was the most knowledgeable about the contents of the exam, even if he did fail his. Was this the type of error-correcting that guaranteed Chevalier, Clavis, and Leon’s successes?

The path eventually fed into a wide clearing as large as one of the training arenas at the palace. Even in peak autumn, thick shrubs still flanked all sides like a fence except for one; a cavernous cliff plummeted behind where Jin stood, his arms folded and mouth stretched in an expectant grin.

“Are we really gonna fight?” Nokto said nervously, reaching for his sword.

“Alright! Loser gets thrown off the cliff!” Clavis whooped. “Chevalier, fight me!”

“Slow down, we’re learning defensive tactics today,” Jin said. “Magic has limitless potential to attack, right? So it stands to reason that the same should be true in defense. Far too often does a warlock fall into the assumption that one trumps the other in combat.”

“Spoken nearly verbatim from Elemental Charms and Combat,” Chevalier said unamused.

“That means he knows his stuff,” said Leon. “But then why’d ya bring us here too, Jin?”

“No, Chevalier’s right. There’s only so much you can learn from theory alone. We need experience to connect the dots. And I sure as sugar wouldn’t hurt a hair on the little guys’ heads, so that’s where you lot come in.” Jin crouched beside Yves and Nokto and patted their shoulders. “Yves, you’ll spar with Chevalier. And Nokto, you get Clavis.”

Yves froze on the spot.

“Oh, goodie…” Nokto mumbled.

“Just remember the basics, and you’ll be fine,” Jin said, then he turned to the warlocks. “And don’t you go blasting infernos at them. We’re out here to prevent unnecessary bystander injuries. But remember, this is still a highly flammable area.” He glared at Clavis, who seemed to get a chill and wrapped his cloak firmly around himself.

“Wait. Where’s my partner?” Leon asked. A quick lookover of the clearing proved Licht was nowhere to be seen.

“Maybe Leon’s branches pulled him up to the sky?” Nokto suggested.

“Or Clavis’s roots dragged him down below!” Yves gasped.

“Both,” Chevalier said, pointing over the cliff. Halfway down, Licht hung suspended and looking below, his shirt caught on a thorny branch tangled with crisscrossing roots.

“Licht!” Yves and Nokto cried.

“Why didn’t you say anything?” Clavis called down to him.

Shocked, and slightly relieved, Yves and Nokto followed Jin’s lead, the scraping sounds of their blades cutting rock disappearing with them.

“Moron,” Chevalier huffed. The air around him began to crackle as he inhaled deeply and swung his staff in a circular motion. “He didn’t even evaluate the situation for a full minute. And they still wonder why he didn’t pass—”

“You heard the boss!” Clavis and Leon yelled. Together they seized each of Chevalier’s arms and hurled themselves over the cliff, leaving their staves behind.

Listen, it is liberating to write Chevalier, Clavis, and Leon as comic relief side characters. Trust me.

About who MC of the next book will be....I honestly agree with you. I mean, taking out ship discourse, all the arguments I've seen to support Az being the MC for the next ACOTAR book are using points from the CC series. But guess what....I've never read CC! I don't know what the heck a Starsword is or whatever connection that has to Bryce or whatever. And I bet there are plenty of people who've only read ACOTAR. (1/2)

I have found, not just in the book world, that people struggle to think outside of what they know.

For example, I remember getting into an argument with my mother who had been a teacher. Two years ago, my kids school announced that in two weeks time, the teachers would be getting a day off for a mental health day and I was discussing how that is inconvenient for the parents.

I know how hard teachers work, I truly do, But around here, children are expected to go to school 180 days and as parents, they plan on their children being in school as scheduled. So it's very difficult for a working parent to suddenly make plans to keep their children at home outside of the already "budgeted" for sick days, snow days, etc. It's an extra day where a working parent either can't be present for their employer or they need to pay for childcare.

But my stance upset my mother because she thought I wasn't respecting how hard she worked (even though she had retired so it was a moot point), that parents should be expected to take care of their own children.

I wasn't arguing against the fact that teachers worked hard or that parents shouldn't be responsible, just that it did put working parents in a difficult situation that they hadn't been expecting. But she was only focused on what she knew as a teacher and not how she might have felt as a working parent who lost income by this surprise mental health day.

When it comes to the fandom, I think there's a bit of that mentality because the fandom thinks in terms of what they know because they are in the fandom. Understandable but I do think it's important to step back and remember the many people who aren't immersed in the world of SJM in the same way. Something you understand with not having read CC.

Yes, there was a bit of buildup for Az's future story in SF (his name was mentioned often but that doesn't equal buildup, it simply means he shared dialogue and Cassian's plotlines). Hell Emerie was mentioned 421 times and no one is claiming she's getting the next book.

But it's not just about SF or even the crossover which happened months after SF. It's about the ACOTAR series in it's entirety (something I think fans forget when they focus only on SF) and there has been SOOOOOO much buildup for both Elain and Lucien. Two characters with unexplored powers. Two characters with an unaccepted mating bond that snapped. Two characters who haven't found a court to call their own. Two characters who have not gotten to share their traumas though their traumas happened on page since books 1 and 2 and beyond (versus both Az and Gwyn where we were told of their traumas after the fact. I'm not saying that lessens their traumas, simply saying we didn't experience them with the character in "real time", at least not Gwyn's trauma that was the reason for her going to the library).

We watched Lucien nearly killed by Rhys and almost killed again in the second trial, saw that he was whipped for helping Feyre, watched him being pushed down by Tamlin, read as he was forced to flee Spring, witnessed his SA by Ianthe, we witnessed his sadness over Elain and his past when Feyre slipped into his mind and he was given a POV (actually, SJM had Feyre slip into his mind on three different occasions in the actual book, that means just as much as an Az bonus), we saw his brothers try to kill him yet again, it was revealed that he has an unknown father, he met Elain's father and has untold stories with that, he developed a friendship with a female who, at the end of SF was about to be called back to Koschei, was living in the human lands but then was permanently stationed in Spring.

With Elain, she was taken against her will and forced into a Cauldron. Changed into an entirely new species. We had the chance to read how traumatic that experience was for Nesta but some do believe SJM is just going to skip over Elain's experience in favor of Az. Skip over Elain finally being able to talk about the loss of her father. Skip over Elain finally making a decision about her bond and her fiance and Az's rejection. Skip over Elain finally proving that she is capable. Skip over Elain finally finding her home.

I understand that SJM wanted to tell Nesta's story first but Nesta is also an Archeron sister. SJM has always spoken of wanting to tell the stories of these three sisters. So why would she skip over the final sister in favor of Az who the fandom knows is a capable warrior, who knows he belongs in the NC despite his struggles? Who isn't even fully aware that he has a mating bond?

Does it really seem like SJM would bench a FMC in favor of a guy? That Az's story is more important than the 24 year old who was violently taken from the life she knew and forced into a new one, where she recently lost her father and her friends and her fiance, is possibly struggling with her snapped bond and she just doesn't get a voice until Az has his story told?

This isn't meant to sound Anti Az because he deserves his HEA too, I'm just not sure his story is more important to tell than Elain's at this moment. Or even Lucien's.

Because regardless of what we learned of Az in SF or the CC (like you said, some won't read the crossover and from a publishing standpoint that means the next ACOTAR book still has to make sense for those readers), that doesn't erase what we were told of Lucien and Elain long before that.

Az got buildup in SF (2021) and he is part of the crossover (2024).....but she's playing catchup for him because he didn't have a lot setting him up to be an eventual MMC before that.

His newly introduced plots (of which they are still a little unclear outside the Illyrians) don't automatically take precedence over Lucien and Elain's plots. It doesn't mean she's pushing Elucien to the side in favor of Az.

It could just mean she's planning ahead for what comes after Elain and Lucien's story and the crossover isn't necessarily some sort of trump card when we have no idea exactly when or how SJM plans on introducing what happened in the CC into the ACOTAR series or when the next ACOTAR book will start on the timeline. The crossover doesn't eliminate the very real threats they were facing in their world in SF and if people are saying that she can "shelve" Elain and Lucien's stories regardless of the buildup they had in books 1, 2, 3 (etc), then why can't Az's story also be temporarily shelved regardless of the page time he got in SF / the crossover so she can first tell us Elucien's story and take us to other courts outside of the NC? Wouldn't the series ending in the NC make the most sense?

Shouldn't they deal with threats on their own world before they really start worrying about threats from outside their world?

You're right though (in regards to your second anon), whatever story she tells next is fine. But the arguments saying why it has to be Az don't make sense to me because if she could sideline Elucien then she can do the same to Az.

Secret Clones AU

Short version: Secret Clones AU is the clones going into hiding in plain sight across the galaxy to force a fair wage and also to keep the babies safe from Kaminoans

The clones figure out the plan to take advantage of them, brain chips, etc. several years before the war hits. IDK how, maybe Jango decided to take a closer look with Mij and went Oh Shit. Doesn't matter. Point is, they caught on and decided that they needed to uhhhhh get Out.

There are millions of clones, yes, but there are tens of thousands of planets.

Once the chips are out and someone's jabbed them with anti-aging serum... they're not that different from standard humans.

And it's not exactly hard to tie up the Kaminoans long enough to get off planet.

So what happens is that a while, let's say a year and a half, before the war kicks off, you have a mass exodus from Kamino, and a wide dispersal of clones. They are generally staying together in groups of about half a dozen, claiming to be brothers, so that there's a 16-18-ish looking clone to take lead, with progressively younger cadets to look after. Each one has a commander they can 'report' to in case of emergency, and if something goes real bad, they can call in an Alpha (and Alphas can call in Jango in a worst case scenario).

It's still sort of a military structure, but... it's a phone tree.

And you have one of these groups of half a dozen clones in every major city. There are thousands of planets, and most of those planets have more than one city. Denon and Coruscant are nothing but city, so they can get counted as dozens of cities on their own. It's easy to disappear in places like that.

It's so easy for the clones, before anyone knows them, to just... disappear. Go into hiding in plain sight.

It's not like more than a handful of people know what to look for.

(It's not like they have a centralized record of who went where.)

(It's just the phone tree.)

They still get real excited-happy-eager when they run into a Jedi.

They want to work with Jedi. They're the good guys! And they're cool!

But your army did a mass desertion before the war started and finding/recruiting all of them is going to take a stupid amount of money. You cannot hire a bounty hunter for each and every clone.

And as @bytebun put it:

Somebody two years later: you look …familiar. Have we met? Clone: haha I get that a lot just one of those faces

AND THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE THE GALAXY IS HECKING MASSIVE

I think the Republic has to like… negotiate with Jango and the Alphas and set up paid contracts if they want these Ultra Skilled Warriors to fight for them.

The clones can fight. Some of them even want to fight. They are good at this and they recognize that many of the things that are occurring under Separatist invasion are Mega Bad.

But like. Pay them and treat them as citizens, first.

The Jedi are even more confused about this identical army that really loves them than they are in canon Where the heck did you guys come from Who trained you Why do you like us What the heck is going on

"Someone wanted us to be a trap for you but we took the trap out. Here we have a sample if you want. Anyway. We like you guys and want to fight with you because honestly civilian life is way understimulating. Let me punch a droid."

I think a few of the clones do 'scouting' where they voluntarily help a Jedi in the field to gather information on their validity as Friends. Cody keeps a number of spreadsheets that are just Various Jedi Encounters.

Rex does a scouting mission with Kenobi&Skywalker and just goes to Cody like "Listen. I know he's insane. But. I want that one."

Rex just "I call dibs" "Cody. Cody did you hear me. Dibs, I call dibs."

A solid half of the clones don't get recruited because the lack of advanced aging (past a certain point) means they're physically still minors and My Dad (Alphas and CCs) Said No. They stay behind on their various planets to look after The Real Babies.

"Let me ask my dad" "Wait--" "He said no."

Just want these boys to have Civilian Lives they can return to or at least experience before war gets them all fucked up.

I think some of them try to Make Connections with influential people (whether politicians or like... Space Influencers) so they have people vouching for them once the war kicks off. And there can be at least some public pushback on functionally enslaving them.

"I can't believe you manipulated people into liking you! That's so mean!" "Well you see. I wanted to survive past the age of eleven. So."

In the Plain of Nysa (Trigun Greek Mythology AU)

Priest of the Twins' Cult

Lives pretty much in the Sanctuary of Nysa by himself but gets occasionally visited by other Members of the Cult, his younger brother Livio or people in need of the Twin Gods' Blessings.

A (Kinda?) normal Priest living in his tiny Sanctuary offside from Civilisation on a small Island in the Aegean sea called Nysa.

His Duties for the most Part consist of Prayers and Sacrifices for the Gods And keeping the Temple and Statue of the Twins clean and occasionally doing a Ritual on thr Request of the odd Visitor.

Did not expect one of the Gods he is serving to be dropped off at his Temple by the goddess Meryl and her Satyr companion Roberto and to be stuck Body-Guarding said God but oh well here he is.

May Or May Not Regret Giving Vash That Short Chiton.

Additional Ramblings about the lore and WW’s design under the cut

This is btw what a Penennular Fibula looked like and I only now noticed that WW is wearing it wrong in my drawing 🥲 The needle is supposed to rest on the Bow of the brooch and not in the opening in the middle.

Also this Fanfic takes place approximately around the time of the Peloponnesian War (431-404 BCE), however Penennular Fibula were primarily worn by either Celts and Romans. So as you can tell while I am trying my best with historical research and keeping things somewhat historically accurate, there are still creative liberties being taken for this AU.

As for why this AU and Wolfwood‘s Sanctuary are called "in the Plain of Nysa“: It‘s actually a reference to the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, aka the most complete version of the Myth of Hades and Persephone we have. In this Hymn it says

In other words it was "in the Plain of Nysa“ in which Persephone was kidnapped by Hades. On a fun note, Nysa is actually not a real place anywhere in Greece. It was instead meant to symbolise "a place far away“ the same way we tend to say "in a kingdom far away“ when starting to tell a fairytale. However that did not stop some Ancient Greeks from guessing where Nysa might be located. Some thus point it to be situated somewhere in Macedon or today‘s Balkans, others claimed it was around the area of the Black Sea or…. That Nysa was on the Island Naxos. Which is why in early drafts the Sanctuary was meant to be located on Naxos itself but as I have never been to Naxos in my life it felt disrespectful to the actual people who live there so I just changed it to the Sanctuary of Nysa being on a lone non-existent Island near Naxos instead.

On a smaller note Nysa was also said to have been the Birthplace of Dionysos, with his name meaning "God of Nysa“. In other Stories however Nysa was the name of a mountain on which Dionysus had started his cult.

I am also taking some creative liberties with how Priesthood functioned in ancient Greece. Unlike how it works in Catholicism and other religions, Priests in ancient Greece were not a separate social class. Heck apart from a few Cults and sanctuaries, being a priest was not even seen as a main occupation of job for that reason. And a priest usually wasn‘t chosen by some council, but in many cases you just paid a certain amount of money to become a priest. They did not even have an official attire like catholic or shinto priests do nowadays. However they were still expected to dress somewhat formally compared to WW‘s Exomis, which is basically the ancient greek equivalent of a priest showing up in shorts, flip flops and an old Tshirt.

The Twins Cult in this AU is by the way HEAVILY based on the Eleusinian Mysteries, aka the Mystery Cult dedicated to Demeter and Persephone. I will some day make a post dedicated to them and priesthood in ancient Greece as a whole.

And yes I still fucking hate drawing feet and shoes.

495. I watched Ghostbusters II, and I have questions

Hot take: I loved it.

When they fell on hard times in those five years, it made them more interesting to me. Although, it was never revealed what Winston did in those five years other than appearing at kids birthday parties with Ray. I know Red Letter Media didn't understand why Ray and Winston dances to the Ray Parker Jr. Ghostbusters theme, but I totally get it. My theory is that in the Ghostbusters universe, that song was totally a novelty song that only played on NYC radio stations. My theory is proven more after I saw Frozen Empire and Paul Rudd's character references it.

I do, however wonder why the kids wished He-Man was at their party instead .. I thought that Masters of the Universe/He-Man was more of a mid 80s craze?

I wanna know who Sigourney Weaver had 'dat baby with! Was it the guy who was jealous of Peter in the original film when he waited for Dana outside of orchestra practice? I bet it was him.

Egon wanting to do a gynecological exam on Dana as part of the investigation. Egon totally did it with that slime.

No more smoking! I kinda miss the smoking. I loved in the original that the boys pretty much welcome Winston in by lighting up a cigarette for him in the basement while they discuss Twinkies.

Peter MacNichol! I didn't even realize it was him until I was like forty minutes in. I love him, the only shining light from Ally McBeal! Did I miss why Dana was restoring paintings now instead of being in the orchestra? I guess it was because it was a day job so she could be with baby Oscar at night? I know at one point she tells Janosz that she'll be leaving soon since the baby is getting older?

They are cute as buttons in their suits fighting those death row ghosts in court.

Speaking of cute as buttons, Janine's glam makeover! She got that "return of Ghostbusters" paychecks now.

It's weird that New Years Eve is brought up, and is a giant part of the plot, but other than them wearing the Santa hats in the montage, and the aluminum tree in Peter's awesome apartment, that's all the Christmas we get. Did the entire movie take part in that week between Christmas and New Years? This video tries to figure it out.

Ooo the green dress. Winston saw it in a deleted scene, and said "[Peter's] not coming". Was that dress in the suitcase Peter brings over from Dana's apartment?

Speaking of the suitcase, that apartment scene before their dinner date, that scene felt like it was ten minutes long! I like Peter's apartment, so I'll let it slide.

Winston being scared of the ghost train is one of the best most overacted scenes ever. What was up with all the beheaded heads at the old Subway track?

Why did that scene involving Louis and Janine at Peter's apartment awake something in me? I do have a thing for guys like Louis. I need to put those feelings back away. Y'all know I gave up on dating!

I mean THIS?! With the earmuffs?! I need a minute. Even if Louis thought he had to save the Ghostbusters, I think him and Janine did some things first.

When that cop said "the Titanic just arrived", I felt the emotion in that line. He said it like it was real deal this really happened breaking news. Better Late Than Never.

Bobby Brown's sad cameo where he just opens the door at Gracie Mansion and asks the boys where he can get some ghostbusters stuff for his brother. Yes his song "On Our Own" (which I LOVE) is playing in the background.

I don't care about the Vigo stuff too much, the baby's acting makes the scene bearable however. Those twins who played Oscar were really good baby actors!

Them controlling the Statue of Liberty with the positive slime and the big flat Nintendo controller is silly as heck, and I am here for it.

Now, I know the movie got a cool reception when it came out in June of 1989, especially since it came out the weekend before the biggest movie of the year, Batman. Ghostbusters II made the biggest three day box office record at the time -- but Batman beat it the following weekend. I wanted to read some critic's initial reactions to the movie.

Vincent Camby of The New York Times almost gives away the entire movie's plot! I agree with most of his points, except for him saying the original was "overproduced and sloppy" the effects were made in 1984, what do you expect? On Christmas of 1988, NYT almost gives away the plot again in an article about the behind the scenes process of the film. (gift article)

I think Al meant a "junky" effect when he was referring to the Statue of Liberty walking around instead of a "junkie" effect, but I get what he's saying, even if I loved the scene for its silliness.

(My local paper ran this review too, so that's why you don't see one from my paper. ) I saw Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire the other day, and I feel like this was finally Ernie Hudson's chance to shine after being just the fourth Ghostbuster so so long. To me, each Ghostbuster has their own movie now: the original was Ray's, Ghostbusters II was Peter's, Ghostbusters: Afterlife was (ghost) Egon's, and Frozen Empire was Winston's.

I even found a newsgroup review from June of 1989. That is baby internet! Here is the archive, because I just feel like google groups is going to shut down the old newsgroup archives any day now. Wait, I just found another one (archive).

Here is an article about the press tour held at the newly renovated Plaza hotel in New York City. The press was already clamoring for a third movie. Of course, we wouldn't get that until 2020, 2021, of course.

In closing, never forget the Hardees promotion, with the noisemakers that were recalled almost immediately because lil kids ate the batteries. I remember being about six? and was terrified that my parents were going to take away my Ghostbusters noisemaker.

So I knew Echo'd be in this one, but I was actually also a 100% Rex would be there too, so I was a little bummed about that? like why would they release Rex's poster now if he isn't gonna be in the ep? and like ik this is a show about the batch, so they wanna show off Echo and I love that for him bc I love Echo but like,,, Rex🥺 yanno?

that being said, Echo and his team infiltrating that ship, fcking GREGOR?? amazing, loving that shit, eating it up

another suicide? this is getting intense. like this season has given us deeply seeded political issues about clone rights, depictions of blood, brainwashing and two suicides?? like??? things are heating up, the writers are getting more real and I actually kinda,,, love that even though its intense

ofc he snatched the gun, you rlly coulda seen that one coming dipstick

it struck me as really odd that Crosshair didn't shoot the female doctor. like the rest of the batch and most of the clones use stun guns ALL THE TIME whereas Crosshair has always shot to kill. again, "severe and unyielding", meaning he takes intense action, committing all the way all the while being so stubborn he hardly ever backs down. honestly, him sparing her is some serious character development. he recognised she was being kind to him and he decided that that was enough reason not to hurt her. either that, or he wanted to abuse her kindness later on

he never wanted to get out, he just wanted to warn his brothers, which is AGAIN SO DIFFERENT from the Cross we've gotten to know in these last two seasons. I actually don't think that's growth anymore. that's Crosshair standing by a choice that he knew was bad for far too long (SEVERE. AND. UNYIELDING.) and now finally admitting he was wrong and going back to what he always wanted and always knew to be right.

Girl Fight

SFW

Once Lisanna is back after the Tenrou arc, she challenges you to a fight, to be with Natsu

Natsu x F!Reader

Established relationship of nine years with seven year time skip

You and Natsu imprinted on eachother before the seven year skip, before Lisanna came back. Then you run away because you think Natsu cheated but he goes after you. You leave the city and go to your dragons gravestone then loose it and become a dragon out of control when Natsu and Happy get there.

A lot of angst, some fluff

You were in the Fairy Tail guild holding Natsus hand and eating a slice of cake while he was eating steak. Everyone was merry clanking drinks when she came in. A white haired pretty woman walked in and unbeknown to you but Natsu looked over and dropped his fork. You look back and hear people noticing them saying.

"Lisanna your alive!" Her sister and brother hugged her tightly. Turning back to Natsu he let go of your hand. Many emotions flashing through him that you feel as well from the imprintation. Your wearing a bikini thats white and a skirt that's light denim. Your short hair showing off your imprintation. You finish your cake and chug your beer.

"So shes the one from your past?" You ask Natsu who picked up his fork and continued eating.

"Yes I'm just shocked to see her" he says.

"If it's me or her who would you want?" You ask him. He thinks for a moment before saying

"We were allready together, imprinted, and she was a childhood thing a small crush that died long ago" he says as you feel sad because of his imprintation.

"If she pulls anything who would you want to be with? You let go of my hand so I'm assuming theres still some emotion for her" you cross your arms. He thinks for a moment.

"I still choose you (n)" he says holding out his hand to you. You hesitated before taking his hand. He looked saddened but tried to smile anyways. You both stayed sitting with Happy. After Lisanna loudly explains everything so we can hear her. She talks with her sister and brother. After everything dies down you Happy, Natsu and Lucy are looking at quests when you feel a hand on your shoulder and all the hair on your body stood up. As we all turn around we see its Lisanna.

"Hi your (n) right?" She asks and you answer

"Yes and your Lisanna right? Nice to meet you"

"Yes nice to meet you too. But I'm not here for formalities. I challenge you to a fight to be with Natsu!" She yells pointing at you. Happy, Lucy, Natsu, Grey, Erza and you look shocked.

"Lisann-" Natsu tried to speak but was cut off.

"I've waited long enough Natsu we can finally be together" Lisanna says.

"Did you know were mated and imprinted allready?" You say

"Doesnt matter to me. Let's go" she responds.

As you hear people say

"Oh look Lisanna challenged (n)!"

"What no way why?"

"Its about Natsu he has two girls fighting over him lucky!"

We walk out in front of Fairy Tail with a crowd following. You and Lisanna are about thirty feet apart. Someone raises their hand then drops it quick saying

"Fi-fi-fight!" You quickly look at Natsu and decided whatever he felt about you or her, you will throw the fight if that's what he wants. Lisanna had allready started running at you. When you snapped back using gravity field causing her to drop to the ground with force and a purple color.

"Ahh what the heck?! What is this?!" Lisanna yells in pain.

"Its my gravity field you walked right into it" you say. You feel Natsu feel hurt and sadness so you let Lisanna go.

"Hey what's the big deal? Your holding back S class (n)!" Someone in the crowd yelled.

"Yea go at it for real!" Another person yelled. Lisanna used her fasted speed to use her rabbit form to deeply wound you. You and Natsu yelled out in pain. Lisanna notices and yells

"Are you allright Natsu?" He just holds his belly.

"(N) take her down but be gentle" Natsu yells to you and you nod.

"Gravity Wings!" You fly up in the sky as you feel bloodloss. Lisanna is angry. She jumps up.

"Perfect!" You yell as Lisanna just realised her mistake.

"Gravity Field, Gravity Fist!" You yell as you flew mock speed into the ground. She coughed up as you fall to your knees, bleeding profusely. As you hear Natsu yell (n). You fall but feel warmth. Barely opening your eyes and cough up some blood before completely passing out.

Three Days Later

You wake up eyes flickering open only to see Wendy, Carla and Happy.

"What happened? Why am I in the med bay?" You question as they all look to you surprised. They explained what happened and now your caught up.

"Thanks for healing me Wendy I owe you" you say as you suddenly feel a super warm feeling in your chest from the imprint. You crawl over to look over the edge of the second floor only to see Natsu talking with Lisanna. Anger shot through you as Natsu looked up and saw your hair shift away from the railing. You crawl back in bed and sit up then try and stand.

"Be careful your still not healed" Wendy and Carla yell as you stand anyways, gets dressed and start down the stairs. Natsu was walking up and you just shove him using gravity armor.

"Go back to your fucking new girlfriend you seemed so happy with her so fuck off!" You yell at Natsu who was taken aback. Once at the bottom where everyone was they all froze.

"(N) liste-" Natsu tried to say something but you have had enough.

"She fucking cuts me so deep I almost bled out! Then while I'm resting because I held back because of you, you go and cheat on me!" Your gravity encompassed the entire floor cracking the floor and making everyone fall laying on the ground.

"(N), Natsu! Take it outside!" Erza yelled standing pointing at you both.

"Dont worry about him I'm leaving!" You yell as your gravity goes away as you walk through the Fairy Tail door. Natsu was about to run out the door when you used

"Gravity Lock" you used your gravity to lock on Natsus feet in place. You knew your area of effect reached across to the train station. So you go home.

Once home you pack your suitcase and grab a gaint sack of coins and a change of clothes then leave for the station.

Natsus POV

"I cant move fuck! Shes leaving town!" You yell panicking.

"You do kinda deserve it, you've been talking to Lisanna for those three days (n) has been asleep. That's kinda messed up buddy" someone says.

"What exactly happened?" Someone else asks.

"She saw me talking to Lisanna when she woke up... but I've also been waiting by (n)'s side these past three days which she doesnt know." You reply.

"Maybe you should leave her alone for awhile?" Another person asks.

"But I have to explain what we were talking about as soon as she let's me go." You say to everyone as your still stuck.

"Man you messed up Natsu" Happy says.

"Ugh I know.." you say looking down tears starting to form.

"I'm shocked her magic can stretch so far away if shes really leaving town." Grey says.

"Were imprinted of course I know where she I-" Natsu said but was cut of by (n)s magic weakening then dissapeared.

"I cant feel her anymore shes out of range..." you say while tearing up.

'I've felt her for nine years and now I dont, I realize just how much she really means to me.' You think as you speak to Happy.

"Let's go Happy!"

"Ai sir!" He says. As you both run out of Fairy Tail and Happy holds onto you flying up.

"To the station mock speed!"

You yelled.

~At the Station

Looking down you dont see a train.

"Keep going Happy we have to cetch up to that train!"

"Ai sir!" Happy yells going mock speed.

~At the train

"Natsu I'm running out of magic" Happy says as your almost to the rail cart. Poof went Happys wings. You scoop him up.

"Fire dragon iron foot!" You yell as you barely make it on board opening and closing the last cart door with Happy in your arms. Becoming motion sick but you felt a glimmer of her still there. 'Good thing this is a storage cart'

"Blehh!" You throw up

"I'll go look for her" Happy says as he leaves you alone. After some good amount of time Happy returns.

"Natsu this is just a cargo train shes not on this one!"

"I have to rest and itll be awhile before I can mock speed again dangit" Happy says defeated.

(N)POV

Your so motion sick your eyes are swirling.

'I'm definitely getting off on the next stop.' You think to your self. As the long awaited time has come the train stops and you immediately feel better you get off the train with your suit case in hand. You only stayed for five minutes looking at the city map as you depart on ward towards your goal quickly up to Ice mountain.

Natsus POV

At The Next Train Stop

Happy flies you off the train and drops you down in the station. After you recovered you cetch a familiar scent.

"(N)!" You yell as you sniff the air to the map of the city then follow her scent.

"Dammit I'm so close to feeling her but so far away." You yell attracting attention to you from merchants. You continue into the mountain path of Ice Mountain sniffing the air.

(N)POV

"Almost there just a little while longer" you say as you start to see a huge clearing. A gravestone is in the middle of the clearing. As you made your way to the gravestone tears formed as you screamed as loud as you could your gravity spreading in a circle making a pillar in the sky. Aching heart sweaty palms freezing body.

"Why did you have to die Zigron!" Your gravity is out of control as you feel your body change into the head, wings, scales, and a tail. Looking up at the sky.

"Gravity dragon roar!" You yell up into the sky.

Natsus POV

Suddenly the earth started shaking as you look up a massive amount of magical energy is being produced. A pillar of purple is in the sky.

"I can feel her! She up there Happy!" You yell as you start running with Happy flying along side of you. Once to the clearing you dont see her anywhere just a dragon blowing magic everywhere.

'(N)?' The dragon is about five bodies long with a beautiful purple tone. She looks at you and fires a gravity dragon roar and sends you flying into a wall of the clearing. Happy managed to dodge the attack.

"Natsu!" Happy yelled but she turned to him and dragon roared again. Missing Happy by inches. You finally manage to stand in the field of gravity and start running towards her.

"(N)! I know your in there! Say something! Anything!" You yelled as Happy picked you up and flew towards her.

"Go now Happy mock speed I need to get to her before her next attack" you yell. Once you reached the center Happy let you go as you grabbed her neck and sat on her back.

"Look I know it seems like I cheated, but I didnt I swear on Igneel! I know you saw me talking to Lisanna but I was telling her that I had no feelings for her and talking about the past and how it should stay in the past! How I love you so very much! How I want to marry you!" you yell as loud as you can.

"Your going to kill yourself, if you dont stop please!" You scream. As her magic seemed to slow at first then it dissapeared all together, while some of her scales fell off and she returned to herself passed out in your arms. You just hug her close. And give her some of your magic since hers was drained completely.

(N) POV

Feeling a warm embrace you leaned into Natsu with tears running down your face. He just held you until you stopped crying.

"Natsu are you sure?" You ask weakly.

"Of course I'm sure" he says as he strokes your (c) hair.

"Now tell me why are you here of all places?" Natsu asked.

"This is where Zigron lays my dragon master and dad, the dragon of gravity" you say softly as he looks at you shocked then looks at the grave.

"No way... why havent you ever told me?" He asks.

"It was too painful..." you replied.

"Did you know I stayed by your side for those three days?" Natsu questioned. You just looked up at him in awe.

"Really?" You question.

"Ask Happy" he says.

"Ai sir he stayed there so much people had to make him eat and drink" Happy explained.

"I feel so stupid!" You squeel.

"Wait why do I feel different?" You ask as some fire came out of your mouth.

"You were going to die if I didnt give you some of my magic" He answered. Then shifted your body so you were sitting on him. Natsu wrapped his shirt and arms around you to keep you warm. Tearing up again you confess.

"You are the only one I have ever loved besides Zigron" you say to Natsu who looks shocked.

"What about your parents?" He asks.

"I dont know because they abandoned me at birth then Zigron found me. Zigron was the one who raised me. Then he died. But he trained me super hard for six years." You answer.

"Thats horrible I'm so sorry you had to go through that" he kisses your wet cheeks. You whisper in Natsus ear.

"Igneel killed him because Zigron threatened to kill you..."

"I didnt understand before but if Zigron were to live you would be dead. That's why I'm in so much pain." You say quietly. Happy is just sitting next to you both listening.

"That does make sense Igneel left for awhile then came back all bloody he never told me why. I'm so sorry!" Natsu held you close rocking you trying to ease your suffering. After awhile of silence Natsu spoke.

"We really should be going it's too cold here well freeze to death"

"Okay"

"First let me collect the scales" you say weakly as Natsu and Happy nod. After everything was picked up into your suitcase Natsu said

"Give me your suit case. Happy take her down the mountain. I'll be there in a minute." You obliged and waved at him as Happy flew you down the mountain and dropped you off. You both waited for Natsu to get back as he was shirtless in the snow.

"I hope he doesnt get sick" Happy said and you nod. But after awhile you spot the pink haired man you love so much and well up with happiness. He smiles at you feeling your imprint. Once he walks over to you both he says

"You look good in my clothes"

"Awe thank you dear but here, you must be cold too." You hand him back his shirt.

"Thank you"he says to you.

"Let's hurry to the station" he says and you nod.

"Ai sir!" Happy yells. Once you board you and Natsu start getting really motion sick the entire way there.

~ In Magnolia

"I have to give Erza something but I'm also embarrassed to go back" you state.

"Dont be that's why you have me and Happy here technically it was my fault." Natsu says as you all approach the guild. Once you enter a pit formed in the middle of your stomach.

"Hey S class" someone says

"Hey(n) glad to see your back" another person retorts

"We thought you just left for good" a group of people says

"No I'm good now hey does anyone know where Erza is? Does anyone want to see real dragon scales?" You pick one out of your suitcase. And let the now formed crowd around you look at it.

"Erza is up stairs" Cana says sitting across from Gildarts.

"Thank you I must be going thanks for giving it back" the crowd hands you the scale back.

"Did you slay a dragon without us?" Grey asks

"No there all her scales" Natsu says to everone.

"So you beat a dragon, (n) and Natsu??" Grey asks

"No I would not dare hurt her. The scales fell off once she calmed down" Natsu replied and Grey just nods.

"All right that's enough" Erza says.

"You better not be back to fight" she says.

"Weve brought a piece offering" as you unzip your suitcase to show her the twenty-five dragon scales. As if a light has been shown on her she starts to have sparkles in her eyes.

"Are they real dragon scales or manufactured?" Erza questions

"Well their mine so there real, for your armor set." You say to her. Erza grabs a bag and scoops it all up except the money at the bottom.

"Were you really planning on leaving?" She asks

"At least for a night but Natsu actually saved me from dieing" you say with a chuckle as Natsu wrapped his arm around your neck and squeezed gently.

"Erza I just want to say I'm so embarrassed for me actions" loud enough that people started murmuring.

"Just try and control your instincts next time." She says to you.

"Yes ma'am"

"Btw are Wendy and Carla still here?" You ponder.

"Their upstairs go on oh and thanks for these" she points to her bag of dragon scales as you just nod. You, Natsu, and Happy make your way upstairs and see Wendy and Carla talking to the old master. He turned around to notice all of us.

"Well look whose back" Old master says.

"Ya we worked everything out somewhere else, but you may find us in the paper..." you state.

"What did you kids do?!" Old master yells.

"We fought but away from people" you say

"She made a pillar in the sky on a mountain next to a town and turned into a dragon pops" Natsu says finishing the details.

"You stupid kids you could have caused an avalanche on the town!" Pops says. You pull out the last scale you were hiding in your skirt and hold it out for him to see. Pops takes it and looks at it.

"Dont do it again, I'll be keeping this as your word" pops says grumpily.

You and Natsu both nod.

"Are you done with Wendy and Carla pops?" Natsu asks.

"I was never busy to begin with go on now kids" he says sweetly.

"You need to be healed more (n)" Wendy says patting the bed. You obey and lay down Natsu and Happy sitting with you.

"You were in no shape to travel (n) what were you thinking?" Carla says.

"I wasnt thinking..." you admit. Carla just shakes her head. Natsu held your hand as you were being healed after what felt like and eternity she stops healing.

"This is as much as I can do now, you have to let your body heal on it's own now" Wendy said and I nod.

"But it does feel a lot better thank you Wendy and Carla" you say sweetly as they let you get up while Happy and Natsu do the same. "I'll repay you with something Wendy, Carla I promise" you say.

"If you must then all right" Carla says for them both.

"Thank you so much I'll never forget this" you say and Natsu nods.

"If it wasnt for you (n) would have died so thank you" Natsu says politely. After saying your goodbyes. You, Happy and Natsu walk down the steps and continue headed home.

~Once home

"You should rest like they said." Natsu states.

"I'll make dinner at least sit down (n)" he says politely. You obeyed him and sat in the kitchen chair.

"I cant believe I almost lost you twice.." Natsu says while preparing everything. You just look down very saddened by the turn of events. He looks back and says

"Well it's all over now right" with a smile. Which made you feel better. After he sets the table and calls Happy to eat.

"Thank you for the food!" As you ate slowly letting your body adjust to no food for three and a half days. After dinner your all in the bedroom/ living room. You set the fire place ablaze getting out all the fire that Natsu had placed in you as they stare in awe. You turn to them and say

"That was fun but to bad I'll only be able to do this once hehe" you speak

"I'm sure there might be a time or two where well have to do it again dont worry" he says then kisses you on the forehead.

"Come to bed please?" Natsu asks politely. You obey and undress besides your panties he does the same as you crawl into bed with Natsu. All the lights are off except the fireplace. As he spoons you wrapping both arms around you hugging you close. You hold his hands and give them small many kisses.

"Longest three days of my life" you say as Natsu says whispering into your neck.

"I know but your safe now, dont ever run away from me again. You had me scared. I love you so much (n)"

"I'm sorry I promise I'll talk it out next time" you whisper back to him.

"I love you sweet dreams Natsu my love" you whisper gently squeezing his hands.

"I love you so much (n) sweet dreams" Natsu whispers as Happy curls up on a pillow by the fire place.

"Goodnight Happy" you both say

"Ai goodnight" Happy replies.

While the player appreciates them, their oshi takes top priority.

(Using Rei as an example for this. I started playing enstars because of him lmao). Imagine Rei just gets all the privileges, attention and love. The player pulls for all of his cards, grinds events for his event cards, puts him in the home screen and sets him as a leader for every song. The favoritism is so obvious it just hurts, and probably pisses off most , if not all of the characters. Heck, they even hear the player gush about Rei in the real world.

Oh and something that really hurts, is that one of the other characters' 5* comes home: they're so happy to be with the player, but they only get to see their disappointed face because they're not the favorite.

I imagine that the other characters would do everything they can to ruin Rei's time with the player. Maybe they'll force themselves into the home screen in the hopes you'll give them attention. Or mysteriously appear in the office even though the player knows that they only put Rei in there.

While the chaos is happening inside the game, the player's just confused with all the glitches and hopes that it'll get fixed the next update.

When the player sticks to only one character and shows obvious favoritism when playing the game ( Rei)

Ooh, this would be a nightmare for all the other characters! I´ve discussed a similar scenario with Anzu before but let me talk a little more about it!

So let´s start this off by saying that there´s one person that would be *very* upset if you preferred Rei over everyone else. I don´t think I even need to say it but Ritsu would not like this at all. His brother completely abandoned him in his time of need and now he´s also taking away his beloved player? Hasn´t he tormented him enough, does he really need to steal away his last piece of happiness? Ritsu doesn´t understand what you see in his brother and he´s very mopey about this. He´s even lazier than usual at practice, it´s like the last bit of his motivation has fizzled out now. He will never forgive Rei for this but that doesn´t mean he´ll give up on you. He´ll find a way to make you see that he is the superior brother!

Rei himself is obviously really happy about being your favorite ( good choice btw, he was also the starter card I chose when I started on my jp account! I heard that he was a vampire and has a coffin with wheels underneath them and was sold ksjlfsd). It means that all of his efforts were worth it in the end, if you recognized him and deemed him worthy of your affections.

Oh, he can´t help but feel a little bit smug when everyone else starts to realize how you favor him. You´re always pulling for his cards in the gacha and passing on everyone else, you try your hardest to score as many points as possible in his events to maybe even get several copies of his card, you´ve unlocked all of his outfits and SPPs, his fans are maxed out and he´s the only idol that gets the privilege of staying in your office, even though more spaces would be available.

It´s so so frustrating and they feel almost helpless with it too, because what are they supposed to do when it seems like you´ve already made up your mind? You´re not pulling on their banners and only doing the bare minimum for their events, deciding to instead save up in case Rei gets another card.

At this point, some of them are desperate enough to ask Rei for help. Kaoru is on his knees, begging to let him be the 4-star on one of his banners to give him the chance to come home to you, even if it hurts when you show basically no reaction to getting him. The spots on banners Rei features in are very competitive because a lot of the idols see it as one of their only chances to get to you. Yes, they could try to break through and give you their off-banner 5-star but they seriously can´t handle the clear disappointment on your face when they show up instead of Rei.

Some others will indeed try to ruin the time Rei has with you, using the stories to smack-talk him in front of you with the goal of changing your mind once you see more of his bad qualities or invading your home screen and your office. You swear you didn´t put them there but maybe you accidentally tapped on them when you were changing Rei´s outfit? Who knows. Maybe it´s also just a bug that needs fixing.

One thing is sure though, Rei is very hated within the game now as everyone is jealous of him, wanting to be the one to get all of your attention instead.

What if lil maple is like mitsuri ( little spoilers? Not too much just a bit) like super super strong like her.in manga it's says that mitsuri is 8 times stronger then normal person and when mitsuri was 13 months old, Mitsuri lifted a stone that weight around 10kg (I'm not sure in manga it says "4 kan" but i think that 10kg)

Anyways!

Lil maple is really really strong! And i think Kazuha mentioned that Yoimiya's fireworks are heavy, but what is lil maple just lift them whitout struggle! Or when maple was 4 they were able to hold kazuha's sword even tho it was heavy for kids that age.

even some of crew members were surprised when lil maple would help them carry heavy things around

the kaedeharas are a known samurai clan, hence kazuha being a ronin (masterless samurai, i think that's what he is if my knowledge in samurai things serves me right). neways, i think it was mentioned in some of my fics that maple does watch kazuha when he's practicing his swordmanship. i headcanon that the kaedehara clan, despite the whole irodori shit drama, are set on training their descendants in using a sword (soumon swordmanship, according to kazuha's talents) and that kazuha was trained in his early childhood. the same goes for maple!

for a short period of time before the complete fall of the clan, maple had started with the basics, still clumsy but they know what a sword can do to a person. but since they're a timid person and the whole runaway thing, they weren't able to learn all that it takes to use a sword

BUT!

they've always been stronger than your average kid! to be able to hold a sword, you need to be strong enough to wield one! (kendo classes coming in clutch lmao) while maple haven't learnt much with a sword, they can pack a strong punch! their timid, soft, and child appearance can fool anyone, even kazuha when he first saw maple deck someone on the shins!

kazuha's not completely clueless when it comes to maple's strength. due to his father's *ahem* family drama *ahem* it was mostly kazuha who trains them, especially now that it's just the two of them left and he doesn't want them to be completely defenseless. he knows, like KNOWS, about maple's strength. fuck the sword when they can render someone's leg useless with a punch to their knees!

he's seen maple carry heavy metals when they're still at the estate, helping in cleaning the spare swords and when the family swordsmith need assistance. heck, he's seen them swing a real sword around, clumsily tho because they haven't started training by that time yet, but they can carry it without wobbling like any normal children would! he soon found out that it wasn't just purely from training that maple got this strength, but somewhere in their family bloodline, someone had super strength or something that skipped a few generations and now maple has it his mother theorized this when he told her about maple's sudden burst of strength and he spat his tea out from shock

"oh my, are you sure you want to help, little one?"

"mhm!"

it's been a few weeks since you and your brother joined the crux fleet. the crew was very welcoming to the two of you, letting you travel with them even after you escaped the vision hunt decree. to repay their kindness, kazuha had decided to help them in their feats for the mean time. and wherever kazuha goes, you go.

you weren't exactly a bubble of happiness around other people. you keep to yourself, collectively calm like your older brother but you still have that glow that children has. you're eager to discover and see the world with those sparkly young eyes! beidou and her crew cooed when your eyes sparkle at the sight of liyue harbor while excitedly rambling to your brother how different it was to inazuma.

despite being shy and reserved, you're very helpful! assisting and running errands around the ship and making everyone happy at the sight of your tiny figure going around the deck with a determined look to help others.

kazuha stood at the side with a proud smile, nodding and telling himself, "mhm, that's my little maple," and beidou would sigh, "yes, we know, you've told us a thousand times already."

that's why, when you first tried to help in carrying the shipments in and out of the ship, the whole crew had their jack slacked to the ground.

imagine a child, seemingly weak because of their small stature and quiet nature, casually carrying a box filled to the brim with wine and other products without breaking a sweat.

everyone casted a look on kazuha, seemingly unaffected and unbothered. in fact, he doesn't seem to be shocked in the slightest!

"your little sibling..." beidou's voice trailed off.

"hm? what about them?"

he searched for your tiny figure amongst the crew, finding you waddling back and forth to deliver boxes in and out the deck, and looks back at the crew's astonished face. he paused, before snorting when he understood what made them so shocked.

ah, he could never get tired of other people's expression when it comes to your strength.

"oh, that's normal. my maple has always been like that."

"NORMAL!?" they all exclaimed, while your menace of a brother laughs.

"that's a box filled with shipments of fireworks from the nagonohara family!" one of them pointed out, "even you complained how heavy it was!"

"and they just carried on like it was nothing!"

his laughing fit trailed off, glancing back at your focused face, smiling softly at the sight before his smile turned smug, proud and amused at their reactions.

"well, that's a kaedehara for you~"

"THAT DOESN'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING!"

oh, how he loves whenever this happens.
