Blood Is Thicker Than ‘Sea’water

I was reading a fanfic (not related to Young Justice) that brought up the quote “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb” and I suddenly recalled when Kaldur used the shortened and modified version of that quote in Season 2 ‘Alienated’ after the reveal of him working with his father (although we hadn’t yet found out he was actually a double agent)

It made me wonder: Was Kaldur using the real meaning? That the bonds he formed with the team and League were still stronger than the connection of his birth father? Was he using it in a way that sounded like he was truly on Manta’s side while hinting at the fact that he was still working for the team?

I just thought it was interesting so I have no clue if someone else picked this up in the time between Season 2 and now 😅 Anyone else?

Okay idk if anyone has said this yet but hear me out:

I think that in the synopsis for the next episode, the "Bart Allen went shopping" line is gonna be referring to a note that Bart left at home (for Jay) before he went with the Legion as an excuse for where he's gone.

It's the only part of the synopsis that is in the past tense, so that made me think that it may be a quote (or at the least referencing something that has already happened, obviously).

Some people say that Hal Jordan in the Young Justice TV show is starting to/will become Parallax, due to the graying hair on his temples. If what the wiki said about his graying hair simply him getting older is false, then yeah, I can sort of see this happening. But, for me personally, I don’t think this will be the case.

‘Cause I don’t think we’ll be seeing Parallax Hal in a LONG time.

Not only ‘cause this show focuses on the sidekicks than the Justice League and other adult heroes, the timeline has simply stretched far too long for Zero Hour (the event that caused the whole Parallax thing) to happen. If you didn’t know already, in the comics, Zero Hour is usually reffering to the destruction of Coast City, Hal Jordan’s hometown. Mongul and Cyborg Superman (from the Reign of the Supermen series) laid waste to the city because as a means to create a new Warworld. This, in turn, tipped Hal over the edge and allowed Parallax to take him over. But, as in Season 3, he is still trapped in a Stasis cell. And Cyborg Superman isn’t going to be created, I don’t think, ‘cause the main reason he even exist isn’t there (the death of Superman). So, we can blow that theory into the water.

The lore on the Lanterns and attention to the Lanterns in general are almost nonexistent in this show, or never mentioned as much. Guy Gardner by far has the most screentime and voiceover, as of Season 3. John Stewart has some lines in Season 2, but overall he’s more of a background character there. And Hal freakin’ Jordan, the main man of the Lanterns, has one spoken line, and it’s ALL THE WAY in Season 1. Other than that, Hal Jordan is just- gone. So unless the show writers puts attention on the Lanterns, however impossible it may be, the Lanterns are being kept in the dark for much longer.

And that fourth Green Lantern King Orin mentioned? Some say it’s Kyle Rayner, but I am more inclined to believe that that’s Alan Scott. Kyle Rayner’s rise as Green Lantern doesn’t start until after Zero Hour and Hal’s descent into madness, and you already know my thoughts about that. And, as of Season 4, Hal Jordan is still being described as a good guy, still a part of the Corps. Unless Hal suddenly turns bad, Kyle Rayner will not be entering the scene anytime soon.

But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe there will be something that causes Hal to tip over the edge. A certain tyrant who wants revenge on a certain someone. A very important someone. Who will probably cause destruction to prove a point, to rule the earth over. A certain...

Rewatching the first few episodes of Young Justice, and this is kinda birdflash kinda not (you can absolutely take it as them just being besties), but Wally grabbing Robin’s utility belt when Dick uses it in CADMUS, so Wally doesn’t get left behind is SO cute to me. Dick is just minding his business, being one half of the dynamic duo who doesn’t play well on teams, but then there’s Wally who is so clearly repeatedly saying “if you’re going, I’m going” by sticking close to Robin. Dick isn’t thinking about the others, but Wally is SO prepared for Robin’s next movements, and it speaks to such an amazing friendship and partnership in the field😭I miss them so much - they were never the same again after the 5 year time skip what HAPPENED to THIS version of them goddammit

the barbenheimer bluepulse theory

isnt it weird how "barbenheimer" sounds suspiciously like "bart 'n' jaime"?

"barbenheimer" is a combination of the two words "barbie" and "oppenheimer", the name of two movies that released on the same day.

now what movie is coming out this august? yep, the blue beetle movie. blue beetle's civilian name is jaime reyes. "barbenheimer, bart 'n' jaime"

and what dc character has the first name "bart"? that's right. impulse.

this leads me to believe that on august 18th, not only will we get the blue beetle movie, but we will also be met with an impulse movie that has secretly been worked on at the same time as the blue beetle movie.

now, i know what you're thinking: "well, no. there has been absolutely nothing from dc regarding an impulse movie." and i have a perfectly logical explanation for that.

bluepulse.

think about it. think about young justice, the cartoon. the second season specifically. think about all the gay energy bart and jaime had. that much romantic tension simply can not be ignored. we, as viewers, embraced this. dc, however, did not. because in the very next season, we find out that jaime has a girlfriend, and bart is implied to have a boyfriend. and on top of it all, bart and jaime had a very small number of interactions compared to the season before. almost like dc was trying to make the audience forget about their relationship. to make the audience forget about bluepulse.

dc taking such extreme measures leads me to believe that not only do they dislike bluepulse, they are scared of it. scared of us.

it has since been many years, and bluepulse, as a nation, is much quieter than it used to be. that is why dc is testing the waters by making their own version of barbenheimer, with blue beetle and impulse.

why impulse specifically?

because dc wants to make sure they've won. of course, they're wrong.

this is something dc will learn the hard way on august 18th.
