Whelp... I’ve done it again. I’ve once again created some new characters. These three are all outliers, teamed up by coincidence.
Palisade is tall, stiff, and serious. He’s probably the logic and reason behind the trio. His ability is to conjure up walls made of pure energy out of thin air. He can’t do bubbles or cubes yet. Just walls. He takes everything really seriously and prefers to keep to himself, and he absolutely hates physical contact.
Bass Drop is a big goofy teddy bear. His ability is to produce sounds so low pitched that they jostle people’s internal circuitry and shake the ground, knocking enemy bots off of their feet. His speakers enhance his ability and his servos can transform into sound blasters. He is a party animal and a major hugger, just wanting to hang out and make friends everywhere he goes.
Scramble is a bit too traumatized when their story starts for his personality to be clear, however as he recovers he shows that he is incredibly innocent and curious, and often a bit reserved. He has the most powerful ability of the trio, and that is that he can store a massive electrical current and discharge it through his fingertips, essentially scrambling the circuits of any bot or piece of technology he touches. If he is holding enough current, he can easily fry the circuits of a bot’s processor and neural net, causing irreparable damage.
If I wrote a fic about them, it would be about how Palisade and Bass Drop rescued Scramble from the decepticons experimenting on him to weaponize his outlier ability, and how they wound up helping the little guy through recovery. Palisade doesn’t want anything to do with Bass Drop and just wants to be left alone but their superiors put him in charge of making sure Bass doesn’t smother Scramble with attention.
There have been several instances of Bass Drop trying to hug Palisade only to get slammed into by a wall. After rescuing Scramble, Bass Drop and Palisade are assigned to help the little guy recover because of the intense trauma he went through at the hands of the decepticons. Bass Drop is thrilled, but Palisade just wants to get back to work.
You are welcome to send anons and asks regarding these 3 characters as well as any of my other characters, and soon I might start roleplaying them. I might even find time to draw my replies.
But anyways- here are the bois!

So... I decided to get out the acrylic paints and I painted this for one of my best friends. It’s based off of this horrible dark AU they came up with where the decepticons reformatted Prowl, wiped his memory drives, and used him as a data hub by hooking all these horrible cables into his door wings and taking out almost all of the sensors to replace them with data ports. In time he remembered who he was and slowly began to help the other Autobots who had been captured. Later on he was rescued, but the trauma remained with him. I really hope my friend likes it.
I worked really hard on this painting and it took about 5 hours within 2 days to finish it. I’m not currently open for commissions of Acrylic paintings because they’re a lot more time consuming and messy than alcohol marker pieces, and I’m not quite confident in my abilities with the medium. However, I hope you guys like this piece, and I hope my friend likes it when I give it to them.

Prowl and Brainstorm (Happy Valentines Day)
Okay, so.... go ahead and hate me for this. I know this ship is super non canonical and possibly even nonexistent, but like-... it makes me happy. It makes me happy and it makes my friend happy and I just love the interactions between this rare pair.
I’ve been super nervous to post these drawings because I’ve been terrified of facing hate and rejection simply because of who I ship or don’t ship, but since it’s a day after Valentines Day and I didn’t have anything else to post because I’ve been super busy preparing for a DnD campaign, I might as well.
Please note- this is only based on my friend and I’s interpretations of the characters. I know it could probably never happen in canon.
I kinda started shipping these two on accident when a friend and I were doing an rp with the two of them, and it kinda just happened. We were messing around with the concept of one of my fanfics in progress in which Brainstorm accidentally invented a cabinet that teleported things directly into Prowl’s closet on Cybertron. He had originally made the cabinet as a waste disposal unit to get rid of contraband before Ultra Magnus discovered it, and it was supposed to teleport the stuff into a black hole. Unfortunately Brainstorm only found out that the calibration was off after a curious Swerve and Nightbeat got stuck in the cabinet, but more on that later.
After the war and the closet fiasco, Prowl told Brainstorm he’d have to melt down his weapons because there was no longer a need for them. Brainstorm was devastated, and so Prowl awkwardly tried to console him by telling him that he understood how Brainstorm’s weapons saved so many lives and how many more lives could be saved by his future inventions. Being the head tactician, Prowl would probably know just how Brainstorm’s weapons and inventions were implemented during the war. Brainstorm was so touched by Prowl’s words and he felt so understood and appreciated that he then began to follow Prowl around and invent things for him.
These drawings take place much later in the relationship in kind of an AU. This ship really makes me happy and I love drawing them together. I understand if you don’t, and you have a right to an opinion. I’m not posting this to receive hate and I really hope at least someone doesn’t hate this. I just wanted to share my art of them in hopes that at least someone will appreciate it. And yes, I used my figures as a pose reference.

Recently I was rewatching G1 and I got to the episode Triple Takeover where the triple changers are all trying to take over the cons, and while most of them are being devious lil butt holes, there’s just Astrotrain adopting an army of train friends and talking to them like they’re his children. When one falls over, he’s like, “C’mon! Get up! You can do it!” While the other cons are just making fun of him. He ignores them and tells his train friends “Come on! You can do it! Don’t listen to them-!” And like-... my heart just about melted. That’s the wholesome scrap I signed up for when wanting to rewatch it! I drew Astrotrain because I love this man and would heccin die for him! He is so wholesome and pure, and like- hhhhhh-! Sorry it came out a bit messy. It was my first time drawing him.

My Speculations on Cybertronian Morticians
Okay....so... This has been on my mind for awhile.
I've been thinking a lot about what Cybertronians do with their dead, what their procedures are for processing the deceased, how their culture views death, and what they believe about the afterspark. I know this is a bit morbid, but hear me out.
In canon, being melted down for scrap is often threatened in multiple continuities, and there are several examples where when a bot is growing old/is injured/is dying, they talk a bit about them being on their way to the scrap heap. There is also a lot of evidence that once a spark is extinguished, it either goes to the well of sparks or the allspark. What I'm curious about is what happens if a spark doesn't make it to the allspark for some reason, if that's even possible, or just what happens to the sparks once they're back in the allspark. Different continuities have different interpretations of what the allspark is and such, so I'm not sure if I'll scratch the surface of possibilities. Cybertronians place a lot of value on a bot's function while they're alive, and being called a scrap heap or anything related to scrap for that matter seems to be one of the worst insults in their culture. Calling someone scrap means that they are unfit to live.
ALSO- I've been thinking a lot about what a Cybertronian morgue would be like, since my character Grimspur was the Cybertronian equivalent of a mortician. I almost imagine a Cybertronian morgue being like some sort of twisted chop shop where bots come in, and the morticians run inventory on their internal components and sort out the pieces that can be transplanted, and then the rest is melted down for scrap. I see them as going through dead bots' parts and just like- sorting everything into piles after determining cause of death if it wasn't determined before the dead bot was brought in, taking out any parts that are in good condition to pass along to the hospitals, and then sending off the rest to the scrapyards.
The life of a Cybertronian mortician is probably pretty boring most of the time, because of how tough Cybertronians are and how long they live. Deaths are almost always caused by other bots, bad accidents, plagues/malware, circuit booster overdoses, suicide, and bots neglecting their health/not getting health care for long enough for them to eventually drop. (Of course there is the times when the functionist council committed genocide against certain model types that they saw as obsolete if we're talking IDW1) Almost all of their common causes of death are probably preventable one way or another. It might be that Morticians don't have to even show up for work some days because of how hard cybertronians tend to be to kill. I wonder how often live bots are mistaken for dead and are sent in to the morgues, only to be
Now- What I've been mostly thinking about is what happens when bots are dying off because of a plague? How do the morticians and clean up crews protect themselves from things like malware and rust infections? I think that Cybertronians would likely have EXTREME health and safety policies regarding handling the dead because they are a proud species that probably hate facing their own mortality. I imagine entrances on the morgues being one-way only, and that morticians would have to go through some sort of decontamination process when leaving the morgue in order to even get out of the building. Morticians would also probably keep themselves well groomed and maybe even use special waxes/solvents/cleaning chemicals on themselves to prevent rust infections and keep them from cross contaminating the corpses. I can see Cybertronian morgues also being away from the main cities and civilization, and having extreme lockdown protocols to protect the populous from plagues.
Another thing I've been considering is what if a dead cybertronian was part of a criminal investigation? I kinda headcanon that they might have TONS of drawers in cybertronian morgues for spare parts and husks of bots. There isn't hardly any likelihood of a bot rotting except for rust, scraplets, and corrosive environmental chemicals. Storage of dead bot bits probably involves just shoving the bits in a climate controlled, super dry drawer, and then waiting for the investigators to show up and do their thing. A dead bot's husk could theoretically be kept in the morgue indefinitely.
Cybertronian morgues would also probably be a HUGE player in disease control, because if there's a plague, they'd be one of the first places to be hit and one of the first places to potentially research plagues and collect samples. The morticians would likely record the factors of every bot's death and they probably have a super advanced computer system that runs calculations and sorts the medical records of every bot that dies and is brought in to find similarities so that they could catch a plague before it got nasty.
I wonder what kind of bots would be assigned as Morticians. Would cities bring bots online for that purpose? Considering how Cybertronian society works from my limited understanding of it, I can almost see the functionist council picking bots who are social outcasts and failures at their functions to be the ones to process and work with the dead, because it is literally just opening bots up, sorting out the good bits vs bad bits, and being faced with the mortality of their species every day. They would be some of the first to be infected if a plague was going through Cybertron, and they would possibly even be seen as unclean by the rest of their species because with how long lived Cybertronians are, they probably don't like to acknowledge the fact that their race can die. It would be a depressing and psychologically damaging job, to see case after case of deaths that could probably have been prevented, isolated from society and treated as if they're on the verge of being tossed on the scrapheap themselves. I think that any Cybertronian who chose to become a mortician would either have something wrong in their head, be curious about the potential mortality of their species, or just be pretty emotionless/cynical.
Feel free to send asks or anons regarding these headcanons of mine. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this, even if you disagree with my headcanons. I just realized that how Cybertronians handle their dead is an untapped area of exploration and I’d like to see if anyone else in the fandom has ever covered this base.

Be kind in the RPC in 2020
Be kind to veteran RPers. Especially if you are also one. You’ve both been doing this a long time. Long enough to develop your own ways of writing that work for you. You have spent your time differently and their differing writing style shows how unique each of your portrayals are. We all develop differently. No one is doing it “wrong”.
Be kind to new RPers. Don’t chase new writers out of the community because they don’t immediately meet your standards. Don’t put them down because they’re learning. Don’t shun them because they haven’t learned to make their own icons, graphics or themes. If they make a mistake, help them to learn. Don’t isolate them for being the person we all were at one time. Your seniority is not an excuse to be rude or hurtful. No one has been at this “too long to be nice”. No one’s “too old to have patience”.
Be kind to RPers of all skill levels. Don’t mock those who use flowery language or purple prose in their threads. They are writing what makes them happy and if their partners are okay with it then what is the harm? Don’t mock RPers who need extra time to write long replies because they’re not used to writing. Don’t send hurtful anons to writers threading with popular blogs about how they “aren’t good enough” to write with their partners. That is for their partner to decide, not anyone else.
Be kind to RPers who have firm rules. They are that way for a reason. Maybe someone hurt them before and that’s why so many rules on their blogs are necessary. You don’t know. Don’t attack others for having a lot of rules. And be kind to RPers who are very lenient in their rules. Don’t take advantage of a person’s lack of hard boundaries.
Be kind to RPers who ship your NOTPs. If you are against a ship and you see another RPer shipping it… You do not have to tell them how much you dislike the ship. You don’t have to tell them anything. Your personal preferences aren’t another RPer’s fault. As long as no laws are being broken in the writing of this ship, be kind and let others have fun in their own way.

I’m unfortunately not doing to well. If you saw my last post you’d know that I got an ear infection that ruptured both my eardrums. I did this little doodle to try and keep myself occupied. I’m in a mood to doodle a bit so if you have any questions for any of my characters, I’d love to take the time to answer them. I’ve been wanting to do QnA on here for awhile now. I just haven’t worked up the guts to do so in the past. If you have any questions for me or for Stormshift, go ahead and send them into my inbox.

Reblogging from my main blog in case more of you follow me here. Keep your fingers crossed for a speedy recovery, or pray if you're religious. My hearing is significantly decreased and it feels like I'm hearing everything under water or through a filter. I'm gonna try to get back on top of replying to stuff. I've been busy lately due to other life events.
