SNW Drabbles (PikeUna)
Just something that's been in my notes app for months and I've never done anything with. I think my idea behind this originally was La'an had turned little in an accident and Chris and Una looked after her before they could turn her back to her regular self. And that this experience made them realize that perhaps having another little one of their own wouldn't be too bad...
________
Christine was ever the professional when one afternoon the Captain came for his bi-yearly physical looking more hesitant than his usual confident self. She had thought nothing of it at first, thinking he was just a little embarrassed that she'd be the one doing his examination. Usually, MBenga covered the Captain's physical but sickbay had been swamped with an unusually high caseload of a rare Andorian flu and he was flat out covering all the patients. So Christine had offered to cover his scheduled check ups for the week.
It was only at the end of the exam in which the topic of his sexual health came up that the Captain's nervousness was explained. She had to have similar conversations about sex with over half the crew multiple times a year, often with many she considered personal friends as well as colleagues. So the nervousness positively radiating from Chris as he sat on the biobed didn't phase her in the slightest, right up until the point in which he mentioned that he would be declining the birth control shots he'd been receiving since he was 16 years old. That was interesting.
She buried her head in the PADD to tick the decline box next to birth control, desperately trying to keep a composed expression before looking up to meet the Captain's eyes.
“This is going to be awkward Sir.” Christine said. “But I need to ask, are you sure about this? The consequences, have you discussed this with your sexual partners.”
“Partner” Chris clarified with a chuckle. “And yes, we are both fully aware of the consequences that come with coming off of birth control, that was, uh, kind of the point.” Chris’ face turned red as he tried to explain to Nurse Chapel without stuttering.
“I wish you luck Sir. You and Number One will make very cute babies.” She said nonchalantly as she wrote a note in his file on the PADD she was holding.
“I uh didn’t say who.” Chris' face slackened at the mention of Una. They'd been trying to keep their relationship on the down low, and their recent decision to try for a baby was definitely not something they wanted to advertise yet. They were both fully aware their ages meant that their chances of procreating weren't guaranteed, but they had agreed about giving it a go and seeing if it worked out. Their recent experiences with La'an as a toddler had been the spark behind their rather unexpected decision. The experience of caring for her together had led to both of them realizing that the presence of a small child in their lives was something that they actively enjoyed, and now missed now that La'an was back to her usual self.
It had been scary trying to broach the topic with Una, having known her stance on children since they were in their early 20s, they're cute but not something for me. However, halfway through his ramblings Una had cut him off and actually asked him whether he wanted to have a baby with her. He had not so articulately stuttered a yes in response and then they had stood in his kitchen grinning at each other like idiots for several full minutes.
Even the thought of it now, a baby, a Chin-Riley and Pike baby, brought a wide smile to his lips and they hadn't even really started the process yet. Although there had been lots of practice already, because they'd never want anybody to accuse them for being underprepared for anything, in any facet of their lives, professional or personal.
“Firstly, it’s obvious the way you look at her," Christine couldn't help but a grin escape her lips as she responded to the Captain's comment. "Secondly I think La’an will literally kill you if you have a baby with anybody that isn’t Una. And thirdly, I already had to have this conversation with Number One last week and nobody else on this ship except from her has come to let me know they’re willing to procreate anytime soon."
“Ah, okay."
Not to embarrass him further, Christine turned away from the Captain and moved towards the matter synthesizer in the corner. She played with the settings for a moment before replicating a few vials of what she needed. As she handed them to him she noticed his hands were slippery with sweat.
“You might want to take these supplements every morning, to increase sperm production. I’ve already started Una on something similar to increase her chances of ovulation.”
“Okay, thank you.” He said awkwardly, hopping off of the biobed in the private exam room.
“Good luck Sir,"
The Captain nodded at her and thanked her for her time and help, before quickly escaping out of sickbay.
Christine shook her head as she watched him leave. Did she just wish one of commanding officers luck in having sex with her other commanding officer? This ship was weird.

if she calls, i'll be right there | megumi fushiguro
He's quiet. He's helpful. He's good with your kids. He's handsome and smart and totally not living up to his potential. He's younger than you. Months after your divorce is final, you find yourself entangled with your next door neighbor in more ways than one. At first it's just a casual thing, a way to blow off steam. But you realize after some time has passed, you're both in far deeper than you ever meant to be.
Cw: age gap- Megumi is in his early twenties, reader is in her early-to-mid thirties. Reader is divorced and has two children. Mentions of infidelity and emotional abuse. Alcohol use. Consensual (unprotected) sex. Slightly obsessive Megumi. 5.7k words (how did this happen?) Largely unedited. We die like men around here. Please don't be afraid to let me know if there are any glaring errors. Minors please dni.
Tumblr media
You met Megumi on a cold, rainy November afternoon in the parking lot outside your townhouse. You'd just dropped off your kids to their dad for the weekend and stopped to pick up a few groceries on your way home. Weary and stressed from a busy week of work, playing taxi, helping with homework and hairstyles and extra-curricular activities, you were looking forward to a quiet weekend alone to decompress and try to remember yourself.
Your divorce was still fresh, still raw. Your ex husband made it difficult for you to be civil, but you did your best to be polite in front of your children. They seemed to be adjusting to the custody arrangement as well as could be expected, but you found that working full time and being a single parent was far more taxing than you had anticipated. There was little time to connect with friends or to fit in any sort of leisure time. So when weekends rolled around and you had a bit of a break, you often found yourself overwhelmed and lacking direction. Do you catch up on laundry and mow the lawn, or do you meet friends for drinks and indulge in a night of fun? Though you didn't yet consider yourself old, you certainly didn't feel young and desirable these days. Dating wasn't an option just yet, either. You knew that the baggage you carried around was too heavy to ask anyone else to bear, so most weekends, you preferred to tidy up around the house enough so that you wouldn't feel guilty about lazing around, then you'd open a bottle of wine and order takeout and binge a few episodes of your favorite series.
For a few minutes, you sat in the car, hoping the rain would lighten up and the wind would die down just a little. You drummed your fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the song on the radio, humming quietly, running through your mental list of restaurants that would deliver dinner. The song ended, the rain still came down in sheets, and you sighed. "Here goes nothing," you muttered, putting up the hood of your raincoat and ducking your head under the deluge. You ran to the back of your car and lifted the hatch, only for one of the bags of groceries to topple out onto the asphalt. A glass jar of marinara hit the ground and shattered on impact, and the loaf of sourdough you'd been looking forward to–wrapped in a flimsy paper sack– slipped directly into a puddle.
With a heavy, tearful sigh, you put back into the bag what hadn't hit the ground and hoisted it up on your hip, then grabbed the second bag. You'd have to come back out when the rain stopped to sweep up the glass. As you turned to hurry up to your porch, you heard someone call out to you from a few doors down, footsteps splashing quickly through the puddles.
"Hey! You need help?"
A slender hand reached toward one of the bags at your hip and you reflexively recoiled, turning yourself away. "I got it, thanks," you said, eyeing the stranger warily. He looked a little offended, then hooked his thumb in the direction of your car.
"Looks like you dropped something back there. Sure you don't need me to help?"
Something in the way he looked at you made you soften a little, and the cold, driving rain only furthered your decision that yes, you did need help, so you thrust one of the bags into his arms and dug your keys from your pocket.
"Hold that for just a sec so I can–"
The bottom of the other paper bag in your arm gave out, spilling the rest of your purchases onto the sidewalk; suddenly, you were thankful for the rain, because it hid your frustrated tears.
"Got it," he said quietly, bending to scoop up your goods before they could be further ruined. You quickly unlocked your door and directed him inside.
"Just put it there," you said, motioning to a side table in the front hallway of your home. He did so, carefully, making sure not to drop anything else. The two of you stood on the rug while you shrugged out of your coat with a disgruntled sniffle. "Thanks, uh–"
"Megumi. I, um, live a few doors down." He pushed back the hood of his jacket and ruffled his hair, peering at you through long, dark lashes.
"Oh, Megumi! Yeah, we've met once before!" You told him your name, and he nodded. Said he remembered you, too. You smirked at him, toeing off your shoes and setting them over the vent to dry. "Well thanks for helping me." With a weary sigh, you started gathering up your groceries. "I really appreciate it."
He nodded again, looking a little unsure of himself. "No problem. I should probably go now." He looked out to survey the rain and found that it was beginning to let up just a little. "Unless you need some help putting that away."
"I think I can manage from here, but thank you." You really didn't want to be rude, but the day had already taken its toll, and you really just wanted to take a warm bath and curl up in front of the TV with some comfort food and your favorite blanket. "But if I ever need help again, I know who to call on," you say with a wink.
Megumi ducked his head and lifted his hood so you didn't see the blush that flooded to his cheeks, then shoved his hands into his pockets, using his shoulder to open the door. "Sure, yeah. Anytime." With a short nod, he steps outside. "See ya."
"Bye," you said, watching him go.
You lingered so long in the doorway that the glass began to fog over with your breath.
Life stayed busy, as it tends to do when you're a single parent, and you didn’t see Megumi again for several weeks. In fact, it was nearly Christmas before you ran into him again.
The days turned cold quickly, and when the snow began to fall, your daughters wanted nothing more than to spend time outside playing in it. So you bundled them up, snug and warm, and ventured out into your front yard to teach them the art of building a snowman.
Megumi watched you from his second story window for a little while, and when you struggled to lift the middle portion of your snowman onto the base, he thought maybe he ought to help. It was also an opportunity to talk to you again.
"Use your muscles, mama!" your oldest daughter instructed. "We'll help!"
The three of you tried your best to hoist it off the ground. You giggled so much that your strength left your body entirely, and you all fell to the ground in a giddy fit of laughter and decided to make snow angels instead. Eyes closed against the fluffy flakes of snow that continued to float down from the sky, you didn't notice Megumi walk out onto the lawn and lift the large ball onto the base. He packed in a little more snow to close the seam, then began rolling what would become the head.
"Ok, girls, let's try again," you said, pushing yourself off the ground. Once you were upright, you came face to face with Megumi, his cheeks rosy, breathing out gentle white puffs of air. "Oh!"
This close, you could see the intense green of his eyes, the snowflakes that gathered in his long lashes. He stared back at you for a second, surprised at the close proximity of you. "Hey."
You laughed sheepishly, taking a step back, then brushing the snow from your bottom. "Hi!" you said, a little too loud. "You scared me!"
Megumi bent down to continue rolling the head of the snowman, and your youngest daughter hugged you around the hips, watching him curiously. "Who's that, mama?"
You draped your arm over her shoulders and hugged her close. "That's our neighbor, Megumi. Go on, say hello," you encouraged.
With a tiny, mitten-covered hand, she waved to him. "Hi 'gumi."
"This is gonna be the best snowman ever!" your oldest daughter chimed in, dashing over to help Megumi push the ever-growing ball of snow around.
He offered her a comfortable smile and let her take over for a minute. "I think so, too. You guys are good at this."
The four of you worked together until the assembly was complete. You gathered some stones from a neighboring driveway to add eyes and a mouth, and a carrot from your kitchen made a fine nose. Two sticks gave the snowman arms, and an old, knit hat covered his head.
"He needs a scarf!" your oldest cried, tugging at your jacket. "He looks cold!"
You looked around, trying to remember if you had an extra, old scarf laying around anywhere inside. "I don't think we have one," you said.
Seeing the girls look a little crestfallen, Megumi took it upon himself to unwind the plaid scarf tied around his own neck, and held it out to them "How about this?"
Their squeals of laughter made him smile, and he looked at you as if seeking approval.
"Oh, you don't have to do that," you said.
He shrugged, even as the girls had accepted his offer and were tying the scarf onto its new owner. "I've got another one. I don't mind."
You looked at him, and for a moment, you saw more than just the guy next door. Your heartbeat kicked into a faster rhythm as he held your gaze, and it wasn't until your daughter had cried Mama, mama look! a handful of times that you tore your gaze from him, shaking your head, a little dizzy.
"I see, baby! He's perfect!"
Megumi stood off to the side with his hands in his pockets, watching as you adjusted the snowman’s limbs. And when your youngest whined about being too cold, her little teeth chattering in a sudden gust of wind, you began to herd both girls toward the house. You turned back to Megumi and gave him a gentle smile.
"Um, do you want to come in for hot chocolate?" When his eyes widened and your girls cheered, you added, "We have mini marshmallows."
He chuckled– warm and deep, ducking his chin down into the collar of his coat. "Yeah, that sounds nice."
You made small talk in the kitchen while you sent your girls upstairs to change into their pajamas. The sun was setting, and you didn't plan on going out anywhere else that evening, so you figured it would save a step later to have them go ahead and change.
Megumi offered to help with the hot chocolate, but you wouldn't have it. He sat at your kitchen table, tearing a napkin into neat little squares while you chatted idly about work. You learned that he worked at a call center for a health insurance company. And though you meant no offense, you laughed a little.
He raised a curious brow and blew over the top of his mug before taking a tentative sip. "What's so funny?" He asked.
You shrugged and dropped an ice cube into each of your girls' mugs, then gave them a stir. "You don't seem like an insurance salesman, I guess."
"I don't sell. I just field questions about policies and stuff."
"But you don't, like, get commission or anything when you try and upsell someone?"
He shook his head. "I don't upsell. We're not allowed. I literally just talk to people about their claims and usually end up sending them off to someone else who can handle it."
You leaned against the kitchen counter with your hip, fingers interlaced around your own warm mug of hot chocolate. "Aren't you bored?"
Megumi looked at you for a moment, tilting his head to the side. "I mean, yeah, but the pay is decent."
"I dunno. A smart, good looking guy like you? I bet you could get any job you wanted."
It took you a moment to realize what you said, and how it must have sounded to Megumi. You stuttered a little and called your girls into the kitchen. "Hot chocolate's ready!"
The girls bounced into the room and sat down at the table, instantly dominating the conversation. Truth be told, you didn't mind one bit. The last words you spoke echoed around in your mind and you kept stealing glances at Megumi while your daughters chatted about school and classmates and their favorite cartoon characters. He was good at asking them questions about their interests, staying just interested enough to keep them chattering away while still being able to turn his attention to you now and then, sharing a secret smile with you that spoke volumes.
Once their mugs were empty, you shooed them off to their room to play. Megumi stood and helped you clear away some of the mess, then said he should go, too.
"Thanks for the invite," he said, lingering near the doorway, hands in his pockets, shoulders rounded.
"I hope I didn't make this awkward," you breathed, putting away the last of the spoons. "I didn't mean…" What did you mean?
He lifted a hand and made a dismissive gesture. "Tch. No worries. I didn't take it badly. I know I can do better." He sighed, looking at you meaningfully. "You know what they say– money makes the world go 'round. Or…something." He laughed sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck, cheeks tinted pink. "I'd better stop before I say something else dumb."
You smiled sympathetically. "Let me walk you to the door."
He slipped on his coat and stepped into his boots that were now warm and dry. "Thanks again for having me."
"Sure, no problem, honestly. The girls really liked you. I haven't heard them talk that much to someone that's not me or their dad in…well, in a really long time."
Megumi's eyes widened considerably, and he took a step back, zipping up his coat. "Dad? Oh. Are you–?"
"Divorced," you blurted out, pointing to the lack of ring on your finger. "Recent. Um, actually. Final! Not tied up in court or anything anymore. Nope, I'm single!" Shut up, shut up!
Poor Megumi had no idea what to say or how to say it. He wanted to say he was glad to know you weren't married, because it would have made him feel terribly guilty for being attracted to you. In fact, he already felt guilty enough for the thoughts he'd been wrestling with, considering the fact that you were at least 5 years older than him (he guessed) if not more. There was no way a beautiful woman like you– with two kids and a rich life of your own– would ever consider getting involved with a younger, directionless guy.
He swallowed. "Me. Uh, me too." He showed you his own, ringless finger, and you felt your cheeks flood with heat. "Uh, goodnight. Thanks again for the hot chocolate."
"Goodnight, Megumi. Don't be a stranger, okay?"
He scratched the back of his neck and smiled at you– shy, unsure. God, you were beautiful. "Okay, yeah. See ya later."
He found little ways to ease into your life after that snowy, December afternoon. He learned your routine, memorizing when you left for work and when you got home, what days the girls stayed with you and which weekends they spent at their dad's. He made sure your sidewalk stayed clear of ice and snow and even woke to scrape the frost from your car once the frigid temperatures of January and early February took hold. He helped you carry in groceries more than once, helped you juggle backpacks and dance bags and even a coffee table you salvaged once from a flea market. He was a good friend to you, one whose company you cherished. You never really considered Megumi someone who would want more than just a casual friendship with you.
The day he found you crying in your car was the day things changed.
It wasn't that you were still in love with your ex husband. What he did to you– the very reason for your divorce– made certain that you'd never be able to look at him with love in your eyes again. And it wasn't that you didn't think he deserved to find happiness with someone in your stead. But when you ran into him on your lunch break and saw his arm around the waist of another woman, your stomach lurched and your vision blurred, and you had to excuse yourself. Your coworkers had murmured quietly as you darted to the restroom and locked yourself inside while your thoughts spiraled.
It wasn't fair. Of course you didn't want him back. Of course, you'd never be able to reconcile and have the relationship you'd once thought would last forever. Till death do you part, right? In sickness and in health? Your vows didn't account for him being a compulsive liar, though. A man who could look you dead in the eyes and tell the most convoluted stories and expect you to believe every word. You did for years, though. Excuses for why your savings gradually disappeared, for being late coming home from work time and time again. For missing dance recitals and holiday dinners. For so many reasons, so many times you lost count. He left you with no choice but to leave.
His happiness (or lack thereof) was no longer your concern. So why did it bother you so much to witness him touch another woman the way he used to touch you? You knew in your heart that their relationship would flounder, just like yours did. You knew he couldn't be faithful or truthful with anyone, including himself. Where was your happiness? Why couldn't you find it within yourself, as so many people promised you would?
A gentle tapping on your window startled you so much that you yelped and jolted, your heart kicking into overdrive. You swiped a hand through the fog on the glass to find Megumi, staring back at you with concern etched into his pretty features. Hurriedly, you wiped your tears away and rolled down the window, faking a tight-lipped smile.
"Don't," he said, fingers closing around the top edge of the window.
You scoffed, then sniffled. "Don't what?"
"Smile. I know you don't mean it."
You tucked your chin into your chest and squeezed your eyes shut; a couple more tears spilled free, and Megumi reached in to catch them on his cold fingertips. "Go inside. It’s cold out here."
Sighing, you killed the engine. Megumi stepped away from your car to allow you room to step out, then walked you to your door, hand hovering just above the small of your back to guide you. You were trembling so much that you couldn't even get the key in the door, and it caused a fresh wave of sadness to wrack your body, so you leaned your forehead into the wood and sobbed. Megumi gingerly took your keys from your hand and did it for you, ushering you gently inside. He took your coat and hung it, bent down to slide your shoes off your feet, set your purse on the table. "Come on," he said, helping you to the couch.
"You don't have to do this," you whispered, watching him as he grabbed the blanket you kept on the back of the couch and draped it over your lap. "You…you should go. I'm not good company right now."
He looked as if you'd slapped him across the face. Standing before you, eyes full of disbelief, of tenderness, he ran his fingers through his hair and looked off to the side. "I've never seen you cry," he murmured. "I just got worried."
"That's really sweet of you," you say, pulling the blanket up to your chin while you tuck your legs under your bottom, curling into the side of your couch. "I just need to be alone right now." Please don't leave me, you wanted to say. You felt incredibly vulnerable, and you knew if he stayed…
"I mean, if you want to talk about it, I'm right here." Something in his voice made him sound a little offended, as if he thought you didn't find him trustworthy. The weeks you'd spend making idle small talk with him didn't add up to much; in that moment, however, you realized you'd shared much more with him than just the little details about your life. "Was it him?"
Your eyes welled with fresh, burning tears, and you sunk your teeth into your bottom lip, nodded, then buried your face in the blanket. "I'm so pathetic."
Megumi sat down beside you then, laying a tentative hand on your knee. You could feel his warmth even through the blanket, and you sucked in a breath, trying to calm yourself. "No, you're not," he implored. "I think you're amazing."
You laughed in spite of yourself, swiping at your runny nose with the sleeve of your sweater. "I don't feel amazing," you argued.
Megumi's hand pressed a little harder on your knee, and he shifted closer, reaching over to touch your chin. You gasped and turned your head at his gentle insistence, meeting his intense stare.
You'd touched him before. Accidental brushes against his shoulder in your kitchen. Bumping into him when you, he, and your daughters all crowded through your front door at once, carrying bags and hanging up coats. A playful nudge when he made you laugh at something silly. This felt new, though. Different in a way you didn't want to admit. Your intense sorrow gave way to something else, something you had been pushing down for weeks now.
“Megumi…”
The next few moments passed in a dreamy blur. You weren’t sure who kissed who first, who took that initial leap, but the next thing you knew, he was leaning into you, pressing your back against the couch. Your hands threaded through his hair and you held him against you while he licked into your mouth– hungry, passionate, all-consuming. For one tender, quiet moment, he pulled back and kissed your tear-stained cheeks, thumbing at the moisture collected in your eyelashes. “So beautiful…” he breathed, soft lips bumping against your own.
You grabbed his wrist and pressed your forehead against his, trying to catch your breath. “We shouldn’t be doing this.”
Down the column of your neck Megumi dropped featherlight kisses and you moaned softly, eyes swung toward the ceiling. He shifted his weight against you, fingers spread around your ear, tilting your chin so his mouth could explore further, down to your collarbone. “Tell me to stop.”
You couldn’t. You should, but the more he kissed you, the more you relaxed into him, the more you kissed him back with the same eagerness he showed you. Soon, his hands were beneath your sweater, thumbs grazing over the satin cups of your bra. You drug your nails up the back of his neck and he moaned so beautifully into your mouth that you felt a surge of arousal between your legs. When he tugged at the hem of your shirt, you leaned back and lifted your arms to allow him to pull it off, then crawled over him, into his lap, kissing him with a hungry intensity that he met in kind. You weren’t surprised to feel the bulge between his legs when you rolled your hips down into him. You wanted to devour and be devoured.
Once his own shirt was off, he took great care in unclasping your bra, lifting it away to reveal your breasts. For one reverent, quiet moment, he cupped them in his warm hands, tracing the outline of your areolas, thumbing over your nipples. You’re sure he’d seen breasts much younger than yours, not deflated from breastfeeding and fluctuations in your weight over the years, but the way he looked at them made you less insecure, more proud of how your body had aged. You wanted to say something, to ask him what he was thinking, but when his tongue laved over your nipple before his lips closed around it, all coherent thought flew out the window along with your sense of self-preservation. “Oh my god–”
“Want you so bad,” he whispered, hands kneading the fat of your thighs to pull you further down into his lap. You linked your arms around his shoulders as your hips found a rhythm, grinding yourself against him, desperate to ease the ache in your gut. You worked your hands between your bodies to unfasten his jeans, taking care to pull down the zipper so it didn’t catch. Megumi pulled away from your kisses to watch, breathing through his open mouth as you freed his cock, smoothing your hand over its heavy, velvety warmth. “Please,” he whimpered.
You smiled, eyes hooded, clouded with lust, and leaned in so your lips touched his ear. “Please, what?”
“Need you,” he said, rutting against your hand, head laid against the back of your couch, fingers toying with the waist of your pants.
“Not here,” you said, pulling him off the couch. He stumbled to his feet and straight into your arms. He couldn’t bear to stop kissing you, to not be able to touch you. Out of the living room and up the stairs to your bedroom, you bumped into walls, you tripped over stairs. You giggled against his neck and he nipped at your shoulders as you discarded your pants in the doorway before crawling backwards onto your bed. Megumi stood before you, skin flushed pink, chest heaving, staring down at you with awe. “Come,” you commanded, letting your legs fall open. You watched as he swallowed, his throat bobbing before he climbed over you. Another kiss, and he trailed warm, soft fingers up the inside of your thigh, then swiped them lightly through your folds. You keened as your back arched off the bed and Megumi shuddered. He was fascinated with you. On one hand, he wanted to take his time, to map out every curve, every freckle and mole, every dip and scar. He wanted to know what every inch of you felt like against his lips, what kinds of sounds you’d make when he kissed your most intimate places. He wanted to know what it felt like to be inside you, to feel your ankles hooked at his waist, to whisper his devotion against your ear while you gripped his hair with a trembling fist and cried out his name.
“Hey, you ok in there?” you asked. He’d been still for a few moments, tracing idle patterns across your belly, the hand between your legs resting comfortably, fingertip just inside. You stroked his hair from where his head laid against your breasts and his ear caught your heartbeat.
“Yeah,” he whispered. “You’re so beautiful.”
You kissed his hair and scratched lightly across his shoulders. “Thank you.”
“I mean it,” he said, a little louder. He hooked his finger inside you a little deeper and found your clit, rubbing small circles against it. Your breath caught and you gripped his hair a little tighter, closing your eyes.
“I know. I know you do, Megumi. You make me feel that way.”
He pressed in further and murmured something about how wet you were, then shifted himself over you, pushing your thighs apart with a strength that surprised you, thumbs pressing hard into your flesh. You moaned in tandem when he finally entered you, meeting in a messy, filthy kiss as you arched off the bed to meet him.
You made slow, sleepy love, moving in the way people who have been together for years do. No rush, no daring positions or fast, hard fucking. Megumi worshiped you, all soft kisses and breathy moans, careful hands and tender affirmations. Your body bloomed in response, and for the first time in forever, you felt alive. Every nerve ending felt warm, blood rushing to your fingertips, your toes, to your head; you were drunk with pleasure and let yourself get swept away in his affection. And when you came, it wasn’t earth shattering. It began as embers in a fire, warm and stirring before it spread outward and consumed you with its overwhelming heat. You felt it everywhere– every beat of your heart only drove it deeper into your veins. You clung to him as you rode out your high and he reached his own, face buried in the space between your neck and shoulder, panting open-mouthed against your skin.
For a long time, you held him, tears sliding across your temples as you lay on your pillow, heart thumping against your chest. Megumi closed his eyes, one arm slung across your abdomen. His opposite hand laced with yours and he squeezed, subtle and quiet, breathing softly against your shoulder with his head tucked beneath your chin.
You weren’t sure when you fell asleep, but you woke several hours later, covered in a knit blanket from your bedroom closet. Blinking slowly, you stretched your arm out across the bed in search of Megumi. Somewhat disappointed (but not surprised) to find only cold, empty space where he had been, you got up, dressed in panties and an oversized t-shirt, and wandered down the stairs.
The clock on the wall told you it was past two in the morning, and the soft glow from the nightlight in the kitchen made you smile. Leaning against the counter was Megumi, nursing a cup of something you assumed was hot chocolate based on his preferences. You turned on the tap to get yourself a glass of water and tucked yourself into his side.
“I thought you went home,” you said.
“I probably should.”
You pressed into him further, sliding your arm around his waist. “You don’t have to.”
He slid a warm hand behind your head and held you against his chest, leaning to kiss your hair. “Good. I didn’t want to.”
From that point forward, you couldn’t keep your hands off each other. You restrained yourself when your daughters were with you, playing it cool and making sure they never saw you kissing or otherwise showing affection. Megumi found ways, though. He’d hook his pinky with yours while you sat on a park bench watching the girls play. He’d corner you in the kitchen to kiss you when they ran outside to get the mail, or rest a hand on your thigh while you watched a movie. It became a habit for him to spend the night in your bed when your daughters went to their father’s for a weekend, and when you weren’t fucking like rabbits on every surface of your house, you’d stay up late with a few bottles of beer and a cozy little fire on your patio, resting comfortably together while you talked and learned about each other. You couldn’t get enough of him, and he worshiped the ground you walked upon. You were in deep. Infatuated. Obsessed with each other. If it was unhealthy, you didn’t care. You felt vibrant, relaxed, beautiful. Ready to conquer the world.
What you had with Megumi wasn’t defined as anything specific. And though you weren’t explicitly together, you also hadn’t dated other men. A well meaning coworker had asked you if you’d tried a dating app, and you politely told her you weren’t ready to put yourself out there just yet. You told Megumi one evening, a few days after it happened, and felt him stiffen at your side. He reached for his beer and took a long drink, then remained sitting forward, elbows on his knees. “Do you wanna date other guys?”
You huffed a short laugh and bumped him with your shoulder. “Do you think I want to date other guys?”
He looked…irritated. “Answer my question.” You watched his jaw clench and felt heat rise to your cheeks.
“I thought– no, nevermind.” You shook your head and poked at the fire with a long stick, not daring to look him in the eye.
“You thought what?” The air was thick around you, even as a cool breeze blew through the trees. You shivered involuntarily, gathering your cardigan tighter around you.
“I mean, aren’t we dating? I guess we never really defined it, but…” You dared a peek at him, how the flames from the fire reflected in his eyes, how he looked at you with such devoted reverence it took your breath away. Quietly, you admitted, “I don’t want anyone else.”
“Neither do I,” he whispered, visibly relaxing.
“I’m…a lot older than you, Megumi.”
“I don’t care about that.”
“I don’t want to have any more kids.”
“Doesn’t matter,” he said, a little more tense than before. He squeezed your thigh and scooted closer, ducking in to kiss your forehead. “Still want you.”
“I don’t even know if I want to get married again.”
He kissed your brow. “Don’t care. I’ll wait. And if you decide you don’t want to, I’ll still be here.” He hooked his finger under your chin and turned your face toward his, nudging his nose against yours. “I’ll still be in love with you.”
You breathed a little sigh and averted your eyes. “Megumi…”
“I’m serious. I do love you. And…” he tilted his head trying to meet your eyes again. “I think you love me, too.”
You kissed him. A distraction, a way to buy time before you said the words out loud. The words you’d rolled around on your tongue since the night you first slept together. It terrified you, the possibility of loving someone new, of giving your heart over to someone again. Megumi was nothing like your ex husband, but the hurt he caused made it nearly impossible for you to trust someone not to do it all over again.
But for Megumi, you thought you could try. You wanted to give him that chance, to ease into something beautiful that you’d already been building.
He cupped your face in his hands and gently pulled out of the kiss. “I love you,” he repeated. Expectant. Hopeful.
“I love you, too.”

Sweet Child of Mine Part 4
Series Summary: You’re Eddie’s former best best friend. The two of you drifted apart freshman year of high school and now you’re more enemies than anything else. Despite the hostility between the two of you, you still come around to help out with his eleven-month-old sister, Emma, who he and Wayne keep most of the time due to his father being in jail and his mother being an addict.
Also, I know Sweet Child O’ Mine didn’t come out until 1988, but the song is just so perfect for the story.
Characters: Eddie Munson x Female Reader, Wayne Munson, OC Emma Munson, Wendy Munson and Greg Thompson
Warnings: Eddie and the reader get into a huge argument (as usual), Eddie is sick and reader takes care of him.
Word Count: 2.k+
Part 1|Part 2|Part 3|Part 5|Part 6
Fuck. Fuck.
Eddie sprints through the house, hunting frantically for something clean to wear. He was already late for school and he was supposed to sell some kid a dime bag before the first bell.
"Eddie, it's almost nine a.m." Wayne chides him. "You were supposed to be at school an hour ago."
"I fell asleep before I set my alarm. I had a bad headache. And now I can't find any clean clothes."
"That's weird, Y/N did laundry last night while she was here."
Eddie checks the dryer, nothing. Where did she put my clothes?
Then he sees them. Sitting in the basket in front of the washer, untouched.
She didn't do my laundry? Why didn't she-
The words from your last conversation dawn on him.
I didn't ask you to do my laundry. You act like my girlfriend, it's weird.
He runs back to his room and digs around in his drawers, finding a white t-shirt that's about two sizes too small. He throws it on and sprints out the door, stopping to kiss Emma on the cheek on the way out.
Emma immediately starts fussing as he leaves. Wayne picks her up, patting her back.
"He'll be home before you know it, sweet girl, and then I can get some sleep.”
__________
You stroll into the cafeteria, adjusting your ponytail as you sit down. Your friends greet you, talking excitedly about a party coming up the next weekend.
You're halfway through your sandwich when Eddie walks in. You almost choke as you take in his skin-tight t-shirt, so small on him it looks like a crop top. Even with his jacket and vest on, you can see the lower half of his stomach and his happy trail that disappears into his dark jeans. Your mouth goes dry as your gaze lingers on his belly.
He makes eye contact, points at his shirt, and flips you a bird. You grin mischievously.
"Flirting with the freak?" Greg asks, slinging an arm over your shoulder.
"Don't be ridiculous. I played a little prank on him, that's all."
"That's my girl."
You push his arm off you. "Just because we hung out this weekend doesn't mean we're back together."
His eyes narrow. "Come on, baby. We're perfect for each other. You can't let one indiscretion-"
"Is that what we're calling it now? You getting balls deep in another girl is just a simple indiscretion?"
He grimaces. "You really need to stop hanging with that freak. Your language has gotten so vulgar. He's rubbing off on you."
"Why do you have to bring him up all the time? I told you, I work for his uncle. That's all."
"You two were friends before high school. And you know what they say, old habits die hard."
You roll your eyes and stand up, dumping the rest of your lunch in the trash.
Eddie sees you leaving and hurries after you. You yelp when his hand wraps around your elbow, tugging you into an empty classroom.
"If you're just gonna yell at me-"
"I should do more than that. Are you kidding me, Y/N? You could have at least told me you weren't gonna wash my clothes."
You cross your arms and glare at him. "You told me to stop doing shit for you. So I didn't do your laundry, I didn't tidy up your room, I'm sure you noticed Wayne's lunches are in the fridge, but I didn't make you any."
"You're such a bitch."
"Hey, I'm just doing what you said. You want someone to cook and clean for you? Start paying me. Or find a girlfriend.  Wayne pays me to care for Emma, not you."
"I swear I hate you sometimes."
"That's fine considering I hate you all the time."
You see a flicker of hurt in his eyes. He hides it quickly, standing up straight, squaring his shoulders.
"Forget it. I don't need you to do shit for me. I don't need anyone to do anything for me. I'm used to handling my shit myself." He starts coughing.
"You don't get to guilt trip me for doing what you told me to do! If you were ever nice Eddie, if you ever said thank you, just once-"
"Thank you for what? For what?" He yells, and you flinch. "Thank you for ruining our friendship? Thank you for becoming friends with the people that torment me? Thank you for abandoning me freshman year, when I needed you the most?"
You freeze. So that's what this is all about. That's what it's always been about.
"Eddie, I did not abandon you. My interests changed, yes, but I was here. I tried to be your friend. You pushed me away."
"You were gonna leave me behind!"
"I wouldn't have! I'm not like your mom, Eddie! I care about you!"
He flinches, taking a step back.
Shit. That came out wrong.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that the way it sounded."
He laughs bitterly. "No, you're right. My mom doesn't give a shit about me. If my own mother doesn't care, why should you?"
"Please, I didn't mean it that way. I would never say that. I wouldn't-"
"You just did."
"I worded it wrong, Eddie, I just meant-"
"Don't. We both know what you meant."
"Eddie. Listen to me." You plead.
He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a crumpled ten dollar bill, slapping it into your palm.
"I don't want your money, Eddie, that's not what this was about. I just wanted some appreciation."
"I'll be home late. So if you can have my clothes done by then, that would be great. Don't worry about tidying up my room or making my lunches, I can handle that on my own."
"Eddie." You start to reach out for him, forgetting yourself. He slaps your hand away, visibly recoiling.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking." You apologize, take a few steps back from him. "I won't touch you."
He looks down at you with a pained expression. "Don't. Ever."
"I won't. I'm sorry. I just wanted you to listen to me."
The bell rings and Eddie steps around you, walking out the door and into the hall.
You blink back tears. You'd really fucked up this time. Any chance you and Eddie had of reconciling was done. He really hated you.
__________
You're sitting in Eddie's room, rocking Emma to sleep when you hear him come inside. You lay Emma in her crib and pat her bottom a few times.
You walk into the living room. Eddie is slumped on the couch, eyes closed.
"Emma's asleep. Your clothes are folded on your dresser. There's spaghetti in the fridge."
Eddie groans in response.
You sigh. If he's high or drunk you can't leave Emma alone with him.
"Eddie, take a shower. I'll make you some coffee. You need to sober up."
He shakes his head. "I'm not drunk."
His voice is raspy, crackling as he finishes his sentence.
"High, then, whatever. Come on, get up. I can't leave Emma with you when you're like this."
He lifts his head and you notice how flushed his cheeks are. He's shivering, you realize, as he tries to sit up.
"Eddie, are you okay?"
He coughs, taking a deep breath as he wheezes. "I'm fine."
"You aren't fine. You're obviously sick."
"Said I'm fine." He mumbles.
"Don't be stupid. I'm not leaving you to take care of Emma while you're ill. And I don't want Emma getting sick, either."
"S'not sick." He protests, but lets his head fall back on the couch.
Damn it.
You go into the bathroom and wet a washcloth with cold water, then come back into the living room and lay it over his forehead. He whimpers and tries to knock it off, but you shove his hands away.
"It's cold!" He groans. "So cold."
"You have a fever. We need to cool you down."
You hunt through the house and find some Tylenol and cold medicine. You get a glass of ice water and hurry back to his side.
"Eddie, sit up a little. I need you to take some medicine."
"S'not gonna. I hate it."
"Eddie, don't be a child. You need medicine to get well." You scold. "Now sit up!"
His eyes fly open when you raise your voice. He struggles to sit upright.
You shove two Tylenol in his mouth and hold the glass to his lips. "Swallow. Now."
He does as you say, furrowing his brows.
You measure out the cold medicine and make him swallow it. He gags at the taste.
"Do not throw up." You warn. "Swallow it down."
He scowls at you. "Mean."
"Yeah, well, you'll thank me when you feel better."
"S'will not."
"Yeah, you probably won't." You sigh.
He lays back and tugs the blanket off the back of the couch. You wrestle it away from him.
"Eddie, no, your fever is high. We gotta cool you down."
"I'm cold." He groans, trying to get the blanket back from you.
"You'll be even colder when your temp goes up. Listen to me, please."
He sighs.
You check on Emma, who's thankfully still sleeping peacefully, before rewetting the washcloth and putting it back on Eddie's forehead.
He whimpers but doesn't protest or open his eyes.
You sit on the floor beside the couch, watching him closely. A half hour goes by and he's still red-faced and groaning in his sleep.
You know you have to get some of his clothes off and cool him down. You just aren't sure how to do it without upsetting him.
"Eddie." You say softly. "Could you try to take your jacket off?"
He grunts.
"Eddie." You say louder. "Your temp isn't going down fast enough. We need to get some of these layers off you."
No response.
You sigh. You know he hates being touched and you don't want to violate that boundary. But at the same time you've got to get him cooled down.
You start by slipping his shoes off, then his socks. He mumbles but doesn't try to stop you.
You tug on his shoulders and his eyes shoot open.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." You whisper soothingly. "We just need to get this jacket off, okay? I'll stop touching you after we get you stripped down, I promise."
You manage to tug the jacket off without too much of a struggle.
Eddie catches your hand as you start to pull away. You stare down at him, surprised.
"Thank you." He murmurs.
So all I gotta do to get a little appreciation around here is get him sick? Wow.
You don't say that though. You squeeze his fingers, and offer him a warm smile. "You're welcome."
You sit back down on the floor. Eddie rolls on his side toward you.
"Emma-"
"I just checked her. She's fine. Get some sleep, I got you both."
He nods and drifts off.
You watch over him until his fever breaks. You wake him once more to give him more Tylenol, then let him rest.
Eventually you give in to your own fatigue and your head slumps back on the couch as you close your eyes.
That's where Wayne finds the two of you the next morning. He smiles to himself when he sees Eddie gripping your hand.
He checks on Emma before gently shaking your shoulder to wake you.
"Y/N, everything okay? Why are you asleep on the floor?"
You open your eyes. "Hey, Wayne. Eddie was sick last night."
"And you stayed over to take care of him?"
"Someone had to watch Emma, he was in no condition to." You explain. You’d never admit that you stayed for Eddie.
"And yet you're in here on the floor, instead of in the bedroom with Emma." He observes with a knowing smile.
You blush slightly. "I'm gonna go now that you're here. Will you make sure he drinks something every hour or so? And he needs more Tylenol around 9am."
"I will. Thank you for looking after him- I mean, after Emma."
You stand up and start coughing.
Motherfucker.

WIP ... Some day...
So we're probably closer to Friday... but I've been tagged in WIP Wednesday by the incredible @thequeenofthewinter and @dirty-bosmer. I'm slowly, slowly starting to chip away at the masses of OUTSTANDING chapters to catch up on and I've been hammering at a little bit of Layers of Snow and Ash. It's been tricky and chances are this snippet will be severely chopped and tidied before the next chapter is ready.
I'm so late to WIP Wednesday and I have no idea who has been tagged already or not so... if you see this and haven't posted a WIP yet, this is my invitation to you.
Tumblr media
Today's screenshot represents me trying to write this chapter and Nera trying to cope with all the new people in the college.

Chapter 12 - The Tour
From their position in the crowd, Nera and Brelyna were barely close enough to hear Master Ervine. Her voice was nearly lost on crashing waves of several footsteps. The fragile, icy shell that had sealed the courtyard earlier was well and truly shattered by the morning sun as flaming rays of sunlight bathed the layers of frost on trees. Nera nearly fell into the person in front of her as the group abruptly stopped next to one of the magical light fountains.
“You will have noticed this, as well as the several others around the college, I’m sure. We ask that you do not touch these. In simple terms they channel the magic being used here, keeping it safe and stable. Any interferences could result in catastrophic consequences…”
“Like another great collapse?!” a tiny voice squeaked.
The group turned to the speaker while Master Ervine pulled her lips together in a tight line. The person, an elf, blushed, turning their olive skin pink and they quickly pulled their hood down over their head. The only thing that could be seen of their face were swirling, thorny tattoos coating their chin like a beard.
Master Ervine cleared her throat. “I won’t lie, it’s certainly a risk. This college currently has four hundred mages studying and working here. It takes a vast amount of energy to accommodate this power.”
Nera’s eyes widened. “Where are they all?” she blurted out and felt the eyes of the group land on her. She nearly apologised for speaking out of turn but a quick look from Brelyna saved her. She was a Maryon now. She could ask any questions she wanted.
“You have Master Neloren to thank for that,” Master Ervine said. “He is our Master of Illusion and has helped enchant the college to be capable of sustaining large groups of students while maintaining a tranquil environment. Now if there are no further interruptions…”
Nodding, Nera ignored the group until Master Ervine started walking onwards. Brelyna nudged her with a silent glare but too many people were crowded around them. Saying anything was impossible so Nera settled for a subtle shrug. She winced as one of the Argonians stepped on her foot, however she had no way to tell if it was a harmless mistake of someone crushed in a small group, or a deliberate attack. She shook herself. This wasn’t Windhelm. There would be no attacks.
Master Ervine led them across the courtyard and stopped outside of the Lustratorium. “Before we enter, I must let you know, there are some plants in here which may be considered dangerous, they will not harm you unless you try to disturb them. Please do not touch anything.”
Silent mutterings of agreement rose from the group. Nera gasped as she was shoved forward, stuck in the current of flapping robes and stamping boots. She hurried forward, avoiding the harsh slap of a tail and ended up behind the crimson clad battle mages.
Entering the Lustratorium was intoxicating. Her eyes watered as soon as her feet crossed the threshold, her nose burned as a hundred types of pollen wafted over her. She wasn’t the only one affected by the plants and several mages coughed, wiping their eyes on their sleeves. Master Ervine looked over her shoulder and smirked.
“You get used to it.”
Somehow Master Ervine was able to speak over the coughs and sneezes of the new mages. They passed plants from different corners of Tamriel and Nera resented being pushed forward, longing for a chance to stop and admire the flowers. Especially when Master Ervine mentioned alien flora and leaves from Morrowind.

"If you want your panties back, wait for me in the classroom after volleyball practice"
You sputter, hand trembling. You also read the note again, and again, and once more, until your friend taps your shoulder and you squeak and push the paper in your mouth.
In. Your. Mouth.
"Hey, can I borrow a pen for the test?"she tells you, eyeing you wearily "I didn't brought any with me today"
You could tell her she never brings one with her— test or not— but you have a piece of paper in your mouth and your mind filled with thoughts of Atsumu stealing your underwear from your room, so you just nod and turn around to fish for one inside your locker.
She arches a brow at you when you hand it to her "Are you alright?"
You give her a thumbs up.
She shrugs "Yeah, I'm nervous too"
You're lucky you studied for the test before hand, because you have enough with not being able to focus that well, knowing that somehow, Atsumu's in his classroom in that same moment, with your panties.
They could be in his backpack.
Or he could have them in his locker.
But oh my god what if he has them in his pocket?
You shake your head, willing yourself to concentrate on the questions. When the bell announces the end of the day, you release the breath you've been holding for almost five hours and quickly get up from your seat to ask the teacher if you can stay behind to clean the chalkboard and tidy up the place.
She gives you a proud— and very relieved— face "Of course! You're always so diligent. I wish more students were like you"
"That's me" you say, trying to smile "Always here to help"
She hands you the key and asks you to take it back to the teacher's lounge when you're done, soon leaving you alone in the empty classroom. You look at the clock.
Two hours until Atsumu appears.
You do clean the chalkboard, and then close the windows that were left open and put every chair in its place. When you're done, you still have an hour and a half left, so you sit down on your desk and decide to study for a bit. It's exams season, and you've doing that non stop since a week ago. It's tiresome, and not your idea of a fun afternoon, but you have to keep your score intact.
Those grades need extra work.
Atsumu comes barreling down the door when you're in the middle of raking your brain with a math problem, knocking loudly to get your attention. He's leaning on the threshold when your eyes meet his, a smirk dancing on his lips, and you take your hands away from where they were buried in your hair and glare at him.
"You" you seethe.
"Hello to ya too"
"Give them back" you ask, standing up and shaking imaginary dust from out of your skirt, chin up and eyes like steel. Atsumu doesn't looks intimated in the slightest "Right now"
"Why? Are ya in a hurry or somethin'?"
"Ahm... I don't know if you noticed it, but we're pass school hours and we need to bring the key back to teacher's lounge"
Your boyfriend shrugs, unimpressed "Yeah, so?"
"So... I also need to go home to study for tomorrow's test"
He groans at that, entering the classroom and dropping his school bag on the floor next to your desk. You let him take you by the hand and bring you closer to him— the smell of his sweat mixed with his cologne as intoxicating as ever.
"I don't wanna hear about school now"
"Atsumu, we're literally at school"
He silences you with a hungry kiss that steals your breath away— and it's a luck that his arms quickly scoop you around to hold you against his chest, or the intensity of it all would have made you fall on your back. His hands carve into your skin, leaving hot trenches in his wake through your clothes, as he drags them down your ribs and all the way to your hips.
He breaks the kiss to nip at your bottom lip, teasing smile in place and eyes blown wide in excitement "Sometimes I just feel that ya were made for me to kiss ya"
You open your previously closed eyes to look at him drowsily, and before you have to the opportunity to answer, he grabs your hips with both of his hands and pulls you up to sit on the desk. Your legs part to make room for him, very much against your will.
"Atsumu... my panties..." you whisper, trying to remember both him and you the real reason why you're still in the classroom.
Your boyfriend hums, one of his hands disapearing below your skirt— his fingers lazily caressing the wet spot on your underwear "Yeah, your panties are so wet right now"
"That's not what I meant..."
He cuts you off by leaning down to ran his tongue up the column of your neck, grazing your shoulders with his teeth "Isn't this a good place to leave a pretty mark?" he asks against your skin, and you push at him before a moan can come bubbling out of your mouth.
"Atsumu..."
"It's just..." he trails off, settling for nosing at your neck "I almost never see ya anymore, ya know?"
"What?"
He surges up to bite you softly behind your ear "Yeah. All ya do now is study"
"Atsumu" you say, pushing him again so you can see his face while you talk. He's pouting "We're in the middle of exams season"
"Yeah, and does that means that I'm not your boyfriend anymore or somethin'?"
"Are you serious?" you ask in disbelief, because it totally seems like your boyfriend is really feeling neglected "Is this because we haven't been spending too much time together lately?"
Atsumu squeezes your tights, letting his eyes fall to your knees "Well, yeah! Maybe I kind of miss ya"
You're not really sure how he does it, but he always ends up making you feel a little bit sorry for him when he's like that, so you plant both of your hands on his shoulders and lean forward to peck his lips. He takes your head in hands and doesn't loses time in deepening the kiss.
"I'm sorry, sweetie" you apologize "I promise I'll make some time for you too"
That seems to make the trick, because Atsumu smiles brightly and lunges towards you, capturing your lips once more and now shamesly grinding against your core— the wet spot on your panties only growing in size at the feeling of the hard bulge in his pants. He coaxes your tongue out to lazily lap it with his, and then follows a wet trail from your mouth to your ear, his hips still weakly pushing against you.
"Have I ever told ya that I would really like to fuck ya on your desk?" he whispers, and you squirm and suppress a moan with your hand "And over my bed... with ya on top... from behind... " he pushes your hand aside to kiss you between words "In the shower... on a chair... maybe even over my bedroom's balcony"
"We can't... " you say, breathless "We can't do it here. Not now. It's too late... please"
He clicks his tongue at your pleading tone, but concedes anyway— and you instantly miss his warm when he takes a step back and puts his arms behind his head. "Fine. But promise that one day you'll let me"
You roll your eyes, refusing to promise something like that— at least out loud—, and quickly try to fix your hair and your clothes before grabbing your stuff.
Tumblr media
"Now give me back my panties" you say, once the two of you have left the school grounds behind.
Atsumu throws one of his arms over your shoulders at that, laughing out loud "Ya didn't really fell for that, didn't ya?"
"Oh thank god. So you don't really took any of my panties from my room?"
"Oh, no. I did" Atsumu admits, winking "But I would never hand them back"

hii what about Tom Riddle being fucking jealous about reader ?
So I got massively carried away with this one lol, apologies if this isn’t what you were expecting, my imagination went wild!

Jealousy
Summary: Reader has to tutor an insufferable jock and Tom Riddle starts acting very strangely indeed. Wordcount: 1.8k Content warning: none.

The Great Hall was bright and lively with morning sun and the chatter of students, spoons clinking against bowls and butter spreading on toast.
“What is he doing?” you whisper to Margot sitting next to you at the table.
“I think he’s attempting to show off,” she giggles back.
You were both watching Austin Varrowe, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, obnoxiously demonstrate his Beater swing for a series of very bored looking Ravenclaw girls who weren’t paying him any attention in the slightest.
“Slughorn’s making me tutor that idiot,” you grumble.
“No way,” Margot grins, rounding on you.
“Yup,” you sigh, “can you believe it? Two evenings a week for the rest of the term… I think I’ll brain myself with a cauldron by Friday.”
Margot pats your shoulder sympathetically.
That evening, you reluctantly set off for the dungeons to meet Varrowe with your bag slung over your shoulder, but as you round a corridor you very nearly bowl straight into someone coming the opposite direction.
“Riddle,” you say, surprised, “sorry, didn’t see you there.”
Riddle takes a step back and tidily clasping his hands being his back. “You’re out rather late,” he said smoothly. “And in the dungeons, no less. Are you lost? The library is that way.” He nods back down the corridor.
You resist the urge to roll your eyes. Riddle was such a know-it-all. “I’m meeting someone, actually,” you say dismissively, checking your watch. “In fact, I better get going or he’ll think I’m standing him up.”
Riddle looks very briefly surprised, and then a cool look of disapproval settles on his fine features. “I don’t suppose I have to remind you that curfew is in two hours,” he says stiffly, “you wouldn’t be intending on breaking that, would you?”
You snort a laugh and step past him. “Thanks for the reminder,” you say sarcastically, “see you later, Riddle.”
You manage to get away before he can say anything else.

“Varrowe,” you call, giving your friends a quick wave as you dash to catch up to him in the throng of students making their way to their next class. “Are you free tonight?”
“Oh – right,” Varrowe says, looking dispirited. “Sure. Seven o’clock?”
You nod and lean closer. “Please make sure you actually bring your textbook this time,” you mutter, managing to keep your exasperation off your face. “You do in fact need to read it at least once to pass the class.”
Varrowe grins and reaches out to ruffle your hair. “You’re smart,” he says loudly, “barely understood a thing you said last time.”
“Right,” you say through gritted teeth, trying to tidy your hair. “Well, see you this evening.”
“Sounds good,” Varrowe shrugs, wandering away.
You sigh. Slughorn better appreciate your sacrifice; tutoring Varrowe was the equivalent of torture. You turn on your heel to catch up with your friends, but once again you come face to face with –
“You have got to stop sneaking up on me,” you say dryly, “seriously, Riddle, it’s creepy.”
Riddle’s eyes slide from Varrowe’s retreating form to your face. “Is Varrowe the one you were meeting last week?” he asks smoothly.
The question surprises you. “Yeah, why?” you frown.
“And you’re meeting him again?”
You arch a brow at his decidedly clipped tone. “Yeah but don’t worry, I promise I won’t break curfew, I know that’s of the utmost importance to you –”
“An odd choice,” Riddle interrupts, something uncharacteristically irate in his voice, “Varrowe.”
You stare at him. “…Is he?” you ask pointedly, unable to think of anyone more in need of tutoring. Only yesterday Varrowe had lost his phial of Flobberworm mucus and had asked Slughorn if he could just use some of his own instead. “I think he’s the perfect choice.”
Riddle’s eyes flash. “I should be going,” he says curtly, “see you in class.” He gives you a single, stiff nod and leaves without another glance.
You blink after him, shaking your head in confusion. Riddle was acting very, very strangely.
・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚.
“So if you overboil it, it’ll turns green,” Varrowe said slowly, peering at the notes on Veritaserum on the desk between you, “but if you underboil it, it’ll get those weird lumps?”
“Yes,” you say with great relief.
“Is it better to overboil it or underboil it?”
You immediately regret having felt relieved. “It’s better to do neither,” you say flatly.
Varrowe heave a great sigh and carelessly leans back in his chair. “I’m too tired for this,” he complains. “Did I mention that we had an extra Quidditch practice this morning?”
He had. Six times.
You slide your things into your bag and stand. “You’re right, it’s late,” you mutter, “we can pick this up again on Monday.”
Varrowe gleefully stands too and is out the door of the Potions classroom in a heartbeat. “Are you coming to the game next weekend?” he asks you in the corridor outside, unsubtly flexing his shoulder muscles as he pretends to roll them out.
You very nearly roll your eyes. “Sure, I’ll be there.”
“Excellent,” he grins, “I’ve been working on this tag-team move with Procker that’ll really have Slytherin guessing, I’ll have to show you later –”
“Varrowe.”
The voice is crisp and cool, and it doesn’t take a genius to guess who it is.
“Riddle,” Varrowe says, looking disgruntled. “Why are you here?”
“I’m a prefect, if you recall,” Riddle says in a glacial tone, “patrols are part of my responsibilities.”
“How very fortunate indeed that you were patrolling this exact corridor at this exact time,” you say with a hint of sarcasm. “Merlin, imagine if we’d forgotten about curfew.”
Riddle’s dark eyes flash to you, and you impassively hold his gaze. “You should return to your common rooms,” he says delicately, “or I will be forced to give you both detentions.”
“Steady on Riddle,” Varrowe grins, “we’ve got half an hour yet, give us a second to say goodbye.”
Riddle wrenches his eyes off you and fixes Varrowe with a very cold look. “You will go at once,” he says in a dangerously soft tone, “do you understand?”
Varrowe bristles, standing taller and pushing his chest out in a way he clearly thinks is intimidating. Riddle looks utterly unfazed.
Sensing trouble on the horizon, you grab Varrowe’s sleeve and tug him back. “Come on, Varrowe,” you say quickly, “let’s go. You’ve got practice in the morning, right?”
Varrowe glares at Riddle who was yet to move an inch, his expression still cool and blank. “Right,” Varrowe growls, “yeah, let’s go.”
Varrowe turns and stalks off, not noticing that you don’t follow. Instead, you round on Riddle.
“Will you explain what the hell is going on?” you whisper angrily.
“Watch your tongue,” Riddle says sharply.
You glower at him. “So sorry – I mean, will you please explain what the hell is going on?”
His eyes narrow. “It would not be wise to antagonise me,” he says icily.
“Would it not?” you breathe, stepping closer. “What are you going to do, dock me points? Give me detention?”
Riddle’s eyes are dark and hostile, and something works in his jaw as he glares back at you.
“Back off, Riddle,” you snap, “I don’t know what your problem is with me, but seriously, drop it.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” he breathes.
“Oh? You always threaten people with detention when they’ve done nothing wrong? I’m sure Slughorn will be overjoyed to hear that his favourite prefect is abusing his power like that,” you hiss, leaning closer.
Riddle visibly grits his teeth with fury on his face. A tense silence falls, and you suddenly realise that the two of you are standing far, far too closely together.
You step back at once, trying to ignore the strange feeling that swells in your stomach. “Goodnight, Riddle,” you mutter, turning to hurry away.
“Why Varrowe?” he says sharply, stopping you in your tracks.
You look over your shoulder at him. Riddle’s hair looks even blacker in the dark corridor, his burning eyes on yours, the flickering light from the torch on the wall beside him throwing shadows down his cheekbones. “What?” you frown. Now was definitely not the time to get distracted by Riddle’s good looks.
“Why Varrowe?” Riddle repeats stiffly. “He’s a simpleton.”
You blink. “Exactly,” you say slowly.
Something hostile flickers on Riddle’s face before he quickly tempers his expression back into composure. “I appear to have misjudged you,” he says coldly, looking away.
“What are you talking about?” you exclaim in exasperation. “Do you not understand how tutoring works? If he wasn’t absolutely thick I wouldn’t have to waste my evenings explaining to him that Cough Potions are for curing coughs and not inducing them.”
Riddle stares at you. The silence drags on.
You sigh impatiently. “I’m going to bed,” you grumble, turning away again.
“Wait,” he says sharply.
You wheel around, annoyed. “What?”
But your frustration is wiped away in an instant because Riddle is once again much too close. So close, in fact, that you can see the shadows his eyelashes are casting down his cheeks and the heat in his eyes as he looks down at you.
“You’re tutoring him?” he asks quietly.
You nod silently, your throat suddenly thick with nerves.
“That’s why you were meeting him.”
You nod again, unable to look away from him.
Riddle hums contemplatively, his expression smooth as his dark eyes roam your face. “Good,” he murmurs.
“Good?” you whisper.
Riddle’s lips curve into a small smirk, his head tilting slightly, and you absolutely do not blush at the sight. “Weren’t you going to bed?” he asks silkily.
“Worried about me breaking curfew, are you?” you say with a flicker of a taunt, trying to ignore your heart pounding quickly in your chest.
Riddle’s smirk grows. “I told you not to antagonise me,” he says smoothly as he steps in even closer, so close that his robes graze against your arms and you can feel warmth radiating from him as he looms over you.
“I don’t know,” you whisper, “seems to be going pretty well for me so far.”
Riddle’s eyes flick between yours, and for a single burning moment the tension is so thick that you can hear your pulse thrumming in your ears, your gaze dropping to his full lips and seeing his do the same to yours – and then just like that, Riddle steps away.
“Goodnight,” he says evenly, “I trust you can get back to your common room without supervision.”
You nod blankly but Riddle is already turning away and disappearing down the dark corridor, melting into the darkness. You stand there a moment frozen in place, your cheeks burning and your heart still racing as the cold air rushes in where his warmth had been brushing up against your skin.
Riddle was acting very, very strangely indeed.

totally inspired by ur omegaverse manager going into heat it is literally a masterpiece!! could you maybe do the same prompt but for seijoh in honor of oikawa's ear making an appearance🥺been thirsting for seijoh content lately sos
a/n - writing this a little (sorry, a lot) later so it's in honour of his ear and his 5 seconds of fame. also i'm really pleased you enjoyed it!! i had a great time writing it (first time in a while that i finished a fic in one sitting). hope you enjoy this one :)
Tumblr media
Managing Seijoh was an experience, one that you were sure you would look back on with fond memories in the future. However, at the moment, it was borderline undesirable. A group of omegas and betas surrounded you, pressing letters and gifts into your arms.
"Please give this to Oikawa," one of them begged, placing a carefully wrapped parcel on the top.
You forced a smile onto your lips, peering around the stack in your arms to look at the people surrounding you. Voice filled with false kindness, you spoke, "I'll hand deliver these to him straight away. I'm sure Tooru will really appreciate it."
That last sentence was a lie. It had been a while since the gifts Oikawa received hadn't been shared between the team, particularly the food which was likely to feature heavily in the pile. A chorus of thanks followed you down the corridor, and your smile dropped as soon as you turned the corner.
"Dumb fan club," you grumbled, fighting the urge to throw the pile of gifts into the next bin you saw. You couldn't understand why they always came to you, why they begged you to hand him the gifts when he would likely appreciate it more if they were given to him in person. You kicked open the door of the gym, yelling out, "Delivery!"
Heads turned in your direction, volleyballs hitting the floor as everyone stopped practicing and jogged towards you. Iwaizumi removed a majority of the gifts from your hold, going to place them on the bench, and shooting Oikawa a glare, jerking his head in your direction. Begrudgingly, Oikawa took the last few gifts from you and placed them where Iwaizumi had placed the others.
"There any food there?" questioned Kyoutani, picking up a parcel wrapped with a teal ribbon. He sniffed it, nose wrinkling as the scent of an omega filled his nose. Then, he threw it to the side and grunted, "Tell me when you find the food."
"They smell a bit sickly, don't they?" you giggled, giving him a nudge with your elbow. Kyoutani simply nodded, moving away to sit on the floor, back leaning against the wall. You turned to Oikawa, hands resting on your hips. "I expect adequate payment for the hassle this caused me."
"Does my love and affection forever count?" he beamed, wrapping an arm around your shoulder and tugging you into his side. You simply glared at him, arms crossing over your chest. He chose to ignore your clear displeasure at his reply.
"You think way too highly of yourself, Loserkawa," smirked Iwaizumi, throwing a gift his way. Oikawa caught the item, cringing at the small piece of fabric that dangled from his finger. It was dainty, a delicate lace.
"Clearly that one was just meant for you," snickered Hanamaki as Oikawa held the item upwards, taking it in from a different angle.
"y/n?" he questioned, holding it out to. "Could be a good addition to your wardrobe."
"Fuck off," you snapped, turning away from him to grab a bin bag. You shoved it towards him. "Throw it in here."
As Oikawa disposed of the item, Matsukawa could be heard opening a parcel. He pulled out a DVD from the remains, peering at what was written on the case. He mumbled, "Watch when you're alone?"
"Oi, Oikawa!" he called, drawing his attention. Oikawa skipped over, clearly expecting something good. "I think someone sent you a video of themselves. Send us your reactions, yeah?"
Oikawa snatched the DVD from Matsukawa, throwing it into the bin, his nose wrinkled in disgust. He whined, "Where's the food? Why have they all got so much worse?"
With a sigh, deciding you had tortured Oikawa and delayed practice enough, you clapped your hands together. "Shoo. Get back to practice and I'll sort this shit out. All offending items will be binned. Only food will be kept."
By the time you had sorted through all the items, the bin bag was full, full enough that it required you to take it out. Only a small pile of food had been found, barely enough to share between the team. You supposed you would forgo your portion in favour of ensuring the first years got something. They were always hesitant to dive in, letting the third years take control. Kyoutani was also threatening, growling at any who got too close to the food he had acquired. You stood up, grabbing the bin bag and hefting it over one shoulder.
A sigh escaped from your lips as you pushed the door open. Maybe Oikawa could start requesting food, you contemplated, shifting the bin bag into your other hand. The weight was surprising considering the items you’d had to dispose of. Honestly, a part of you still couldn’t wrap your head around what Oikawa had received. How could they think Oikawa would appreciate that?
You grunted, swinging the bag into the larger bin around the back of the gym. Stepping back, you dusted your hands off, stretching slightly. As you turned to head back to the gym, a sharp, unfamiliar scent filled your nose. It burnt your nostrils, reeked of aggression and anger. The rational part of you told you to leave, to return to the safety of the gym. But the other part of you, the part that told you to help others, kept you rooted in place.
"Hello?" you questioned, inhaling deeply as you attempted to pinpoint their location. Judging by the strength of the scent, they were close to your location, somewhere to the left of you. You stepped in that direction. "Are you okay?"
A growl cut through the air, and you halted, eyes widening as you saw an alpha leant against the wall, hands clenched into fists. He was panting, nails cutting through the skin of his palm. He looked up, catching your eye and pleading with you. "Stay the fuck away from me. Please. Stay away."
It clicked for you then. The sharp scent growing more prominent, the aggression, the desperation with which he pleaded with you. Immediately, you clamped down on your scent, tugging it in as much as you could and ensuring it didn't head in the alpha's direction. You had to question whether bringing more alphas to him would be an aid. Knowing Oikawa, he would feel the alpha going into rut was a threat and would act aggressive in return. Matsukawa and Iwaizumi would likely be no better if they perceived them to be a direct threat to you. Kyoutani was usually aggressive at the best of times. It went against your better judgement to involve any of the first years. They were too young to be exposed to such danger. Actually, it went against your better judgement to involve any of the team. All you should do, you reasoned, was inform the coaches quietly and keep it hidden from the team.
The longer you stood there contemplating, the weaker you could feel yourself growing, a steady heat rising through your body. You cursed under your breath, a quiet fuck, before raising the volume of your voice. "Just stay here, okay? I'll send the coaches out to help you."
Slowly, you backed away, careful to avoid sending your scent towards him. Your scent was slowly growing sweeter, more enticing. It would cause him to lose his control, a situation neither of you wanted to be in. Judging by the tightening of his muscles and the way he launched a fist into the wall, he had caught a whiff of your change in scent.
"Get away," he growled, a low threatening sound. The spike in his scent told a different story, pheromones strengthening in an attempt to weaken you further.
Your throat felt tight, knees weak as you continued to retreat. Even at the door to the gym, his scent was overpowering. A desperate sound escaped your throat, a high-pitched whine as you collapsed against the door. Footsteps, quick and hurried, echoed from inside, the door being yanked open to reveal Oikawa, the rest of the team on his heels. His lips were drawn, teeth bared at the danger that was hidden from sight. A ferocious growl ripped from his throat at the smell of the alpha in rut.
"Coaches," you gasped, pointing in the alpha's direction. "Alpha. Rut. Get him. Safe."
Iwaizumi shot you a concerned look, picking up on your condition and the overwhelming scent of alpha around you. Oikawa's reeked of possessiveness, rising up to fight against that of the other alpha. Kyoutani's scent was pure anger. He was eager for a fight, bouncing on the balls of his feet. Matsukawa's scent was calm, but domineering enough to add to the scents already assaulting your nose. That was without mentioning the bitter smell of panic drifting from all the first years as they watched in fear.
"For fuck sake," he sighed, kneeling down to pick you up, cradling you to his chest. His soothing pine scent flooded your nose as you buried your face in his chest. A helpless sound escaped your lips as your hands curled into his top. Greedily, you drew in a deep breath, craning your neck up to brush your nose against the scent gland in his neck. Iwaizumi drew in a sharp breath, holding you closer. He looked up, making eye contact with Hanamaki and Watari, and jerking his head towards Oikawa and Kyoutani. "Keep them away from that alpha. I'm taking y/n somewhere safe. Yahaba, get the coaches. Kunimi, Kindaichi, head back into the gym and tidy up."
Iwaizumi didn’t remain long enough to see if the commands he had barked at the team had been followed. In his arms, you were slowly growing more feverish, your breathing coming out in heavy pants. All he could focus on was you. Your nose tickled the scent gland in his neck as you nuzzled against it, finding comfort there. It was a sharp contrast to the scents that had surrounded you previously. Iwaizumi had been the only one to not give in completely to his animalistic urges, his eyes immediately falling on you, his nose sensitive to the change in your scent. His first instinct was to take you to the medical room. However, he knew that you would feel safer at home, within the confines of your nest.
It was fortunate this wasn’t a usual heat. Your body had reacted to the overpowering scent of a young alpha’s rut, preparing you for what may have happened had the young alpha not had so much restraint. It was a defence mechanism, one meant to protect you from what could have been a traumatic experience. Therefore, your body would calm down once you were removed from the situation. As he turned towards the gate, you let out a whimper, “Locker room, Haji. Smells good.”
That whimper was all it took for him to change direction once again, heading towards the room. It wouldn’t be comfortable, but it was clear you craved the scents within there. After all, the team was your pack. You felt safe with them. His mind whirled as he tried to think of how to make it more comfortable. Iwaizumi knew Oikawa had some spare tops in his locker which could help form a cushion. He supposed he could place a couple different training jackets on the floor for you to rest on. His own he would use as a blanket.
Carefully, he placed you on the floor, leaning you against the wall and wrapping his jacket around your form. He brushed a kiss to the top of your head. “Just give me a second. The nest will be ready soon.”
“So hot, Haji,” you whined, tugging at the material of your thin t-shirt. Iwaizumi let out a sigh, scanning the locker room for anything that might cool you down. When he turned back around, you had removed your top and were curled up against the wall. He felt a flush rise to his cheeks, ducking his head as he finished laying the jackets down on the floor. Before moving you, he placed a hand to your forehead, feeling the heat radiating from you.
"Um, do you need a cold flannel?" he questioned, and you shook your head, reaching out to hold him, burying your face on his chest.
"No, just need you," you mumbled, pausing for a second before continuing. "And Tooru. And Issei. And Kentaro. And..."
"I know," he soothed, running a hand down your back, feeling the warmth of your bare skin against the roughness of his palm. "I know. The team will be here soon."
"Okay, Haji," you sighed, letting him pick up your weak body and lay you down on the nest of clothes he had prepared. You turned your nose into the t-shirts acting as your pillow, inhaling deeply when the scent of Oikawa hit your nose. Your hand reached out, grabbing loosely onto his top, stopping him from moving away from you. The continual tugging of his top hinted to him what you wanted. He lay down behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you back against his chest. As you felt yourself relax, felt your body steadily returning to normal, the door was thrown open.
Oikawa stormed in, coming to a halt when he saw you and Iwaizumi curled up on the floor together. He needed no prompting, joining you on the floor and draping an arm over you and Iwaizumi. Oikawa pressed a kiss to your forehead, then your cheek, letting out a pleased purr at the smile that tugged at your lips.
"Sorry about earlier," he mumbled, nuzzling his head into your neck. "Shouldn't have lost control. Should've been there for you."
"I had it handled, Shittykawa," grunted Iwaizumi. "Some of us can keep our alpha in check."
"You're so mean to me, Iwa-chan," whined Oikawa.
"He's not wrong, Tooru," you mumbled, though the kiss placed to his forehead showed there was no ill-will behind your agreement. You understood how hard it was to control your instincts, having fallen afoul to them yourself.
He stayed silent, letting his scent weave through the air around you, twining with Iwaizumi's. Just as you were settling in again, the door was thrown open, revealing the rest of the team. Matsukawa and Hanamaki collapsed onto the floor at you feet, the first and second years surrounding you. Kyoutani laid out behind Iwaizumi, partaking purely to help you and make you happy. Kunimi and Kindaichi curled up on the floor beside Matsukawa, while Watari and Yahaba laid down beside Oikawa. You let out a content sigh, breathing in the various scents.
Matsukawa traced patterns on your ankle with his fingertips, shooting you a lazy grin. "Feel better?"
"Much better," you said, another pleased sound escaping your lips. "Thank you."
"No need," said Kyoutani gruffly, rolling onto his side and propping up on one elbow so he could see your form.
"What are you accepting the apology for?" piped Yahaba, shooting a teasing smirk in Kyoutani's direction. "You did fuck all except getting angry."
"Shut up," growled Kyoutani, though he made no move to throw himself at Yahaba, mindful of you.
You felt a smile appear on your face at their interaction, the familiar sound of their arguing reminding you everything was normal and that you were safe.

Fun to take care of you
REAL LIFE COUPLE TBS X READER RATING: SWEET
Tumblr media
The morning has always been my favorite time of the day, the time to scrub away the troubles of yesterday and look forward to whatever the day shall bring.
This morning was no different from any other particular morning. I woke up as I often did to the early morning sun, I had myself a hot bath with the sweet lavender soap making sure to wash my hair. I dressed in my little lilac dress trying it tight in all the little places, tieing my sandals too lacing them up my legs. I opened my little window letting the beautiful sunlight flood in with the gentle morning breeze looking out to apali the sweet little homemade buildings surrounding the many temples and shrines, the hush of the ocean just beyond the walls. The sounds of people just walking about getting ready for the day ahead, the pigs and chickens already wide awake bussing in their pens. I grabbed a lilac ribbon to match my dress and slowly plait my hair working the ribbon inside, often getting my hands wet where the tightness would ring water out of my still wet hair. Once finished I grabbed my bag and headed out of my little apartment hurrying my feet down the old wooden steps until I reached the little downstairs door giving it a gentle little tap. Yet no answer came. I tapped again a little louder and still no response. I huffed slightly tapping my feet on the straw covered ground. I knocked as loud as I possibly could using both hands to slam and bang on the door.
"Uhhhh! Alright! Alright! I'm coming!" The familiar voice yelled from within until the door opened revealing the sight I honestly expected.
He stood his back hunched over his hands either side of his door frame, a blanket wrapped around his body to cover himself not even sandals on. His skin slightly dark under his eyes where he was tried. His expression of annoyance, his light blonde hair in its usually curl pattern however out of place where he had just arisen.
"Must you insist on waking me at such ungodly hours?" He pouts
"Good morning to you too Thomas" I smiled pushing past him to hurry myself inside.
His apartment was almost identical to my own but considerably messier, his stone floor covered in dirt and hay, his kitchen piled high with pots and plates, his bed unmade and his space in general disarray. He shut the door behind me and sat on his bed leant against the wall.
"Tea?" I suggest
"Alright, make it strong" he requested
Eventually I found a clean cup and steeped him some tea once it was alright I handed it over to him and grabbed my apron from my bag wrapping it around my waist and starting work on the various dishes
"Thanks. What's the weather like today?"
"Warm and a gentle breeze from the sea" I smiled
"Alright, do I need a bath?" "Yes"
"I wasn't asking you"
"No but I think you should"
"You think I should have a bath twice a day"
"I mean…. It would be nice"
"And I'm not made of money to keep wasting water so much"
"It's not wasting if you have a bath Thomas"
"Yes it is" he argues Getting up and starting to get dressed for the day arguing with his clothes and his hair as he did
"You went out last night didn't you?"
"No"
"Liar"
"How can you tell?"
"You're irritable. At everything." I shrug as I finished the dishes so I began tidying up the rest of his apartment "you always get tried and irritable when your hungover"
"I'm not hungover" he protests "I had one glass of wine with markus then I came home"
"Ummmm hummmm" I glared slightly as I set his table
"One glass of wine. That's it"
"With Jack. And then what?"
"Okay when we went to pennies for an ale or two I was back before curfew" he shrugs
"Alright, I'm choosing to believe you"
"Why are you so invasive to my business?" he complained poking my arm
"I have to be" I remind him as I went to make his bed noticing the stains there but I didn't have time to do another load of his bedding so I just made it and gave him another glare
"You know you don't actually have to take care of me Y/n?"
"Someone has to" I smiled "I don't mind, it's fun to take care of you"
"I know, I don't know where I'd be without you" he smiled pulling me into his chest giving my head a kiss,

Wicked Desires, Chapter 3
Tumblr media
You place the thin, dark emerald dress on your body and tiptoe out of Loki’s chambers, two guards are stationed outside the doors, they don’t even move as you walk past them, you raise a hand in front of one of their faces, he doesn’t flinch or show any sign that he sees you there. You look down at the pendant and smile a bit realizing Loki’s magic is working. Making your way back to your chambers, you look down at the dress as it moves around you. It was quite a beautiful dress, a soft satin that clung to your skin, the entire dress being held up by two thin straps that wrap around your neck, the neckline dipping all the way down your torso, barely covering your breasts. Your back is completely exposed to the warm Asgardian spring air. There’s two high slits on either of your thighs, showing your entire leg when you walk forward. The immodesty of it caused you to blush, but you couldn’t help feeling powerful in it, it looks like you belong at Loki’s side.
You hurry into your chambers, glad to find them completely empty, you had nothing to do today besides crafting a dress for the upcoming spring celebrations, you sigh as you sit next to your sewing station deciding to busy your mind with creating a pattern until you leave for Loki’s chambers once nightfall comes.
A low whistle pulls you away from your work, you turn to see your best friend and chambermate come through the door, her arms filled with fabrics and flowers.
“Quite an extraordinary dress, does this have anything to do with why you were gone all night?” Her fingers grab the material by your hip, her eyes widening once she feels how luscious and expensive the fabric feels.
“Actually yes Risa, I was gone all night putting it together, I was hoping to use it for the spring festival but I made it a bit too risqué so it’ll be saved for a more appropriate event.” Risa’s eyes crinkle, she could always tell when you were lying but she decided to just nod her head and set the rest of her supplies down next to you.
“Well, I have to leave again but I thought I would bring you some more fabric. Are you still ok with making my dress for the festival as well?” You nod your head slowly, her harsh blue eyes still holding yours, she smiles a bit as she turns to walk towards the door again.
“You’ll have to tell me who he is at some point.” The door closes behind her but her words continue to bounce around the room, she knows you too well, of course she would notice if something was amiss. You grip the edge of the table trying to calm your breath, maybe you shouldn’t go see Loki tonight, it would be too suspicious if you were gone two nights in a row.  The logical part of you knew that is exactly what you should do, but the illogical part of you, the selfish part Loki has brought out is screaming for you to go to him, let him devour you whole, feel his hands burn their mark into your skin. You clench your thighs together thinking of his words last night,
‘The smell of me, the taste of me, the feel of me, will be burned into your mind always. Because you are mine.’ How right he was, one night of passionate fucking and you were ready to throw everything to the wind to feel his lips on your skin again.
You loosen your grip on the table and slump back into your chair, staring at the fabric in front of you, your fingers run over the smooth fabric of the dress, the motion soothes your racing thoughts. Your fingers pause, you stare at the fabric and then back to the sewing machine, a small smirk tugs on your lips as a devious thought pops into your mind.
You’re hunched over your table putting the final touches on your dress when there’s a soft knock on your door. You stand up and smooth the fabric of your regular everyday skirt walking to the door to see who was behind it, you open it slightly and see a guard. He just hands you a simple piece of paper and turns to walk away. Your eyebrows raise in confusion, you open the note. The words cause you to shut the door quickly, as if anyone who walks by can somehow read the words that were obviously meant for your eyes only.
“Darling, I’ll be all yours shortly, wait for me in my chambers, if you aren’t wearing my dress then I expect you to be wearing nothing at all.”
Yours,
L
You fold the note up and place it in the small pocket of your skirts, moving back to the dress you just finished working on, you quickly drop your average dress to the ground and step back into the gorgeous dress Loki gave you, now with slight modifications. You fold up your dress and set it on a chair in your room, closing the door tightly. You move quickly around the common room to tidy the mess you left before finally exiting your chambers to make your way to his.
The walk is shorter than you remember, or the nerves are just higher this time. Once again the guards don’t notice your presence at all, you quietly slip into his chambers, you expect to be alone but Loki is sitting on the couch with a glass of wine in his hand. His eyes widen as he takes in your attire. He sets the glass down and stands up, never taking his eyes on you. He holds his hand out and you walk towards him, placing your hand in his own, he twirls you, the dress fans out showing him all your additions.
“Is this the dress I gave you?” His voice sends a shiver through you, it's full of curiosity and amusement.
“It is, but I needed to add my own touches to it.” His hand drops yours to touch the soft gold glittery fabric you added to cover the bodice and skirt, his hand roams across it before reaching up to touch the gold gems you added to the neckline, his hand lingers on top of your chest, his eyes meeting yours again, he smirks as his fingers inch their way underneath the neckline to rub against your nipple.
“You added to its beauty, but I do believe my note specified for you to be wearing my dress. Since you’ve gone and added to it, it’s now no longer my dress, but yours. Strip.” You glare at him as you move the straps off your shoulders letting the fabric fall off your body to pool at your feet.
“Is that better, Your Highness?” Your words drip off your tongue with malicious sarcasm. Loki’s eyes harden but the smirk never leaves his lips, he moves so quickly you don’t have time to dodge his advance, he picks you up and throws you over his shoulder. You try to wiggle out of his hold but it’s impossible, he begins walking towards his room. He lands a loud smack to your backside before dropping you on the bed unceremoniously, you huff as your body bounces on the soft mattress. You prop yourself up on your elbows to look at him, heat fills your body as your mind replays the events of last night when you were in quite a similar situation.
“Turn around and hang your head off the bed.” You quirk an eyebrow at him but do as he says, you hang your head off the end of the bed, now looking at Loki upside down, you take in his appearance, he’s wearing his usual leathers, his hair looks the same but he has an unmistakable glimmer in his eye, you repress another shiver when he meet your eyes. He works to undo his trousers, letting them fall to the floor before he works to undo his top, quick enough he’s as naked as you. Loki bends at the knee until his eyes are level with yours, his hand wraps around your throat as his lips crush into yours, he kisses you fiercely, his tongue making quick work into your mouth, you let out a small whimper as he nips at your lips before pulling away. He looks in your eyes, his hand tightening slightly.
“I’m going to fuck your mouth now, if you need me to stop, tap my right thigh three times, do you understand?” You nod, Loki places a soft kiss to your lips before standing, breaking the kiss. You stare at the underside of his hard cock as he strokes it, his eyes fixed on your face. You open your mouth and press your tongue against the head of his cock, eliciting a soft hiss from Loki, he rubs his head against your lips for a moment, teasing both himself and you.
“Use me Loki. I’m going to enjoy this just as much as you do.” That was all the encouragement Loki needed to slam his hips forward, his cock burying itself inside your mouth, your throat constricts around him fighting the intrusion. Loki brings his hand to the side of your neck massaging gently, helping your muscles relax. You open your jaw wider, shifting your head allowing Loki to thrust with ease, his fingers shake on your skin, you let out a small whimper as the pleasure of feeling him claiming your mouth with his cock. Loki hisses through his teeth and drops his other hand to the bed next to your shoulder. You open your eyes momentarily and can only see Loki’s body looming over you, his balls moving next to your forehead. You squeeze your eyes shut and move your tongue, trying to stroke the underside of him.
Loki’s hand tightens around your throat, his fingers still caressing the muscles there, keeping you calm. His thrusts are controlled and even, like he’s trying to refrain from possibly injuring you. Your mind is finally wrapping around the situation, your hands snake up from where they lay at your side clutching the duvet to scratch against his defined stomach, his hips pause for a second. Your hands move from his stomach, running over the smooth skin and muscle to his hips, you dig your nails in and swirl your tongue around him, letting him know you didn’t want him to stop. His hips resume their controlled thrusts, he lets out a soft whine as your fingers dig in deeper to the skin of his hips.
The sound was like music to your ears, you clench your thighs and rub them together, thrusting your hips upwards. You never thought you could gain so much pleasure from pleasuring someone else, but here you were writhing underneath Loki while he used your mouth and body as if you were nothing more than a pretty toy. You enjoyed it too, you loved feeling like you were his own personal sex doll, the feeling of him filling you was intoxicating and you were falling head first into an unhealthy addiction. The thought almost made you laugh, you were addicted to Loki, it was the best way to put it. The way his fingers touched you, the way his tongue seemed to know you better than you knew yourself, the way his cock felt buried deeply inside of you. It was intoxicating, addicting, you couldn’t stop yourself even if you wanted to. Which you knew you should, you should stop this. It’ll never end well, if the circumstances were different then maybe — you push the thought from your mind, you don’t need to worry yourself with that, not when Loki is moaning and groaning above you because you’re bringing him pleasure. You refocus on the moment and drag your nails down his hips, his thrust stutters, the hand by your shoulder moves and you know he’s getting close.
You think back to last night when he explained he enjoyed being hit with the crop, maybe he enjoys a bit of pain with his pleasure. You move your lips, allowing your teeth to scrape against the sensitive skin of his cock. He hisses in pleasure before he rips his cock from your mouth, he bends his knees until his eyes meet yours again, his hand tightens around your throat.
“You’re getting brave little fox, I love watching you explore pleasure” his hand moves from your throat to stroke your face, his breath is labored and his eyes still hold a look of unbridled lust. “And as much as I would love to cum in your pretty little mouth, I have so much more planned for tonight, kneel on the bed in front of me.” You scramble up quickly at his command, you sit back on your heels, looking up at Loki’s face. Even kneeling on his large bed you were still several inches shorter than him. His hands move to either side of your face, his thumbs gently caressing the skin of your cheeks. You let him lean your head back, his hands move from your face to your neck. Loki leans forward and brushes his lips against your own.
“What do you want darling?” Your breath hitches as Loki turns your head to the side to run his nose along the side of your face.
“You.” Was all you were able to croak out, Loki’s warm breath fans across your face as he lets out a soft chuckle.
“And you have me, but I’m asking what you want right now.” Loki slips his tongue out and licks a stripe up your neck, he hums quietly, blowing cool air over the spot he just licked. Your fingers reach out to tangle in his hair, you turn your face to meet his eyes.
“I want to ride you, I want to feel you deep inside me. I want to shatter around you until I can no longer think of anything besides your name.” Loki’s eyes light up at your words and before you can even comprehend what’s happening he moves onto the bed pulling you onto his lap.
“Who would I be if I didn’t oblige every one of your desires and fantasies darling?” You sit straddling his lap, your fingers interlock behind his neck, he presses his forehead against yours as he guides his cock to your entrance. You both groan as you sink onto his length, his hands grip your hips to help you move. You bury your face in his neck as his cock stretches you open, you bounce up and down, cherishing the feeling of his cock buried deeply inside you. Loki’s hands massage and pull at the flesh of your hips eliciting another loud moan from your throat. His steady hold helps you keep rhythm. A sheen layer of sweat forms on the back of your neck as you continue to work yourself on his cock, the drag of it coupled with the new intense position was quickly working you to your climax.
You turn your head from his neck to capture his lips. Loki lifts one of his hands from your hips to crush your face against his. His tongue consumes your mouth in a sloppy, passionate kiss. You moan into his mouth as he pulls your body closer to his, your clit catching on the skin of his groin.
“Loki — Loki I want us to cum together.”
“Then I suggest you hurry little fox, you’ve had me on edge since you walked through the door in that dress.” Loki’s hands on you tightens, he moves his hips to meet each one of your thrusts, the pressure builds quickly in your lower stomach, all the skin in contact with Loki heats as you race towards your climax.
“Loki, Gods I’m going to cum!” Your orgasm hits full force, you slump against Loki’s chest as he continues to thrust upwards into you, he lets out a loud groan and you feel his cock twitch inside you.
“I’m your God darling, only me.” Loki’s chest rises and falls quickly. He falls back against the bed, holding you close to his chest. His hand moving to brush your hair away from your face. You shift your hips, feeling Loki still inside you. You try to move off his lap but he holds you against his chest. Locking you in place on top of him.
“Loki, I need to go back to my own chambers tonight, my friend brought up how I didn’t come home last night. It'll be too suspicious if I’m gone again tonight.” You try to pull away again but Loki doesn’t loosen his hold on you.
“You can spare a few more hours darling.” For some reason his words anger you. You push with all your might and he finally releases you.
“Loki, you are not risking anything by seeing me, I’m risking everything. I can not be caught up in this. I will not, I’ve worked too hard to have it crumbled by you.”
“Little fox, I’ve promised you safety, I meant that. Stay with me a while longer, we’ve just gotten started.” You stand from the bed quickly, trying to ignore the wobble of your legs, you walk from his bed chambers back to where your dress lays against the ground.
“No, I need to get back before anyone else notices my absence. I’m willing to bruise your ego to make sure my reputation is not defamed.” You turn to see Loki standing naked, his face looks pained for a moment before it returns to it’s normal stoic expression. He turns his head to the side, the green glow appears, he’s suddenly fully dressed again.
“Very well then. It seems I misunderstood our arrangement.” You narrow your eyes at his words.
“Our arrangement? If I remember correctly last night we only talked about my selfishness? You allowing me to explore pleasure. Now who’s the one being selfish?” You walk closer to him, until your chests are touching. You stare into his eyes with as much intensity as you could muster.
“Then stay and continue to be selfish darling. Can you look me in my eyes and tell me that you want to leave right now?” His hand comes up to touch the side of your face but you move away and look at the ground before he can.
“It’s not about what I want Loki, I can’t be swept up into rumors.” Loki moves quickly to wrap his arms around you, his fingers moving to the straps of your dress, he slowly pushes them off your shoulders. You want to move, you know you should move but his soft touch keeps you firmly planted in your spot.
“You’re right you shouldn’t be swept into rumors, and I’ll see to it that you're not. I can charm a double of you to go to your chambers, it’ll walk past everyone and go straight to your room to sleep.” Loki pushes the straps completely off your shoulders, letting the fabric pool around your feet for the second time tonight. He pushes your hair behind your ear and kisses your lips with fervor. You finally move to wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him closer to you. Loki easily pulls you off the ground, walking towards the couch. He sits with you straddling his lap, your lips fight his for dominance, if you’re going to stay he needs to give up control. Your fingers tangle in his hair and you pull his head. He stares up at you in amusement.
“If I’m staying you’ll have to make it worth my while.” Loki tries to move his head but you keep a firm hold.
“I fully intend to, darling, all you have to do is ask for what you want.” You lower your mouth until it's close to his face. You feel him shiver when your lips press against the sensitive skin of his neck just below his ear.
“I want to be in control darling .” Loki’s normal term of endearment falls off your lips smoothly, his hips buck up into you as his arms tighten around you.
“Anything you wish for, little fox, the control is all yours.” At his words you pull his head up and lick into his mouth.
“I think I’d like you better on your knees.” His breath catches but he’s quick to set you carefully on the couch before kneeling between your legs. “It’s a bit unfair that you're fully dressed, why don’t you change that?” The green glow appears around Loki, once it disappears you take in his full nude body again. You meet his eyes and you’re captivated by the intensity behind them, you notice his small smirk, he seems fully amused at the stunt you’ve pulled. You didn’t think you’d make it this far, your mind goes blank trying to think of how Loki commanded you last night. You just wanted to prove a point, but now you're determined to see it through.
“I think I rather like you being in charge.” Loki presses a soft kiss to the inside of your thigh as he speaks. You lean forward to grab his jaw, tilting his face to look up at you.
“Don’t speak unless I say so, now be good and bury your face between my legs, you said the night had barely started, why don’t you show me what else you had in mind.”  Loki’s eyes narrow slightly, he presses an open mouth kiss high up on your thigh before dragging his lips closer to your center. Your fingers stroke his hair as he licks a long stripe up to your clit, his mouth latches there. Your head falls back and you let out a high pitched whine, his mouth is fucking magical. Loki wraps his fingers around your thighs, pulling them onto his shoulders. His tongue continues to swirl around your clit and the surrounding area. You tug on his hair pulling his head even closer to you. You look down and see his eyes are still trained on your face. You push the stray hairs away from his eyes, whispering praise to him. Loki hums, his eyes closing as he drives you closer to your peak. You roll your hips on his face to create more friction. Loki’s hands tighten around your thighs, his fingers scraping against your skin.
“Fingers— add your fingers, I’m so close.” His right hand peels away from your thigh and works its way to your entrance, he teases you for a moment before sinking two of his fingers into your cunt. His fingers mixed with his tongue pushes you over the edge into another mind shattering orgasm, your grip tightens on his hair as you buck your hips into his face, he moves with you and lets your orgasm work through your body in full. Loki places a few soft kisses to your inner thigh before pulling away to look at you.
“What else would you like, little fox? I’m here for you to use.” His words send another shockwave through your body. You sit up further and turn around, your fingers grip the back of the couch as you arch your back. You turn your head to look at Loki.
“Take me from behind, and don’t be gentle.” You watch as a devious smile spreads on Loki’s face, he stands to his full height, towering over you. You turn your head to keep his eye contact, he lets his fingers trail down your spine as he lines up with your entrance. You feel the blunt head of his cock rubbing against your cunt, sending more pleasure through your body. The head of his cock presses inside of you and he pauses for a second. His hands moving to your hips. He pulls you back roughly until he’s buried deeply inside of you again for the second time tonight. His fingers dig into the bruises he left the night before as he viciously thrusts into you. Your head falls forward to touch your forehead against the soft fabric of the couch. You swear this is the deepest Loki has ever been inside of you, his thrusts continue relentlessly. You arch your back more, the angle changes causing both of you to groan. You reach a hand between your thighs to rub at your over sensitive clit. Loki catches your hand and places it back on the couch before sneaking his own hand between your legs.
“Your pleasure belongs to me darling — oh I’m sorry am I allowed to talk yet?” You can hear the smirk in his voice. You throw your head back to look at him and aren’t surprised to see the signature smirk on his lips.
“Shut up and fuck me harder.” Your words wipe the smirk right off his face, his thrusts become brutal, abusing your poor cunt. His fingers speed up on your clit, yet again launching you closer to another orgasm.
“You’re so worried about your reputation darling, yet you aren’t worried for them to see you limping for the next week?” Your fingers tighten on the couch, your nails digging into the fabric deeply. If you weren’t so close to your release you would push him off you and leave right now. Loki feels you tighten and flutter around him, he leans over the couch moving his hand from your hip to cover your own.
“Stay with me tonight little fox — please.” Loki’s voice sounds strained against your ear, your heart stops for a second, you’ve never known Loki, the God of Mischief, to ever beg anyone for anything. Your fingers spread letting him interlock his own with yours as he continues the brutal rhythm.
“Just for the night.” You whisper back to him, turning your face to look at him. He lips meet yours desperately, he murmurs something against them but you're to swept up in your own pleasure to figure out what he had said. Your orgasm peeks on a particularly violent thrust, you flutter around Loki, pressing your hips back further to grind against him. Loki shifts behind you, wrapping both his arms around your stomach, his forehead presses against your spine as he continues to thrust into you, slower now. His arms are the only thing holding you up at this point, your entire body has liquified with the power of your third orgasm. Loki lets out a soft groan behind you, his teeth scraping against the skin of your back. He hips slowing to a stop. He pulls out of you as gently as possible but you still hiss at the feeling of his cock dragging against your sensitive walls. Loki lays your body against the soft couch, he gets up and works his way into the bathing room and returns quickly with a steaming towel. He presses it between your thighs to clean you. The intimacy of the action causes heat to rise to your cheeks.
You watch as his eyebrows furrow, his hand gently working the soft, warm towel between your legs, you almost giggle at how focused he looks. Once he’s satisfied with his work the towel disappears in a green glow and his eyes move to look at you.
“Lets go lay down” Loki helps you stand on your shaky legs and places a hand on the small of your back, leading you to his bed again, he places a kiss to your lips before he pulls back the duvet for you to lay down.
“I can’t keep disappearing every night to come here.” Loki sighs at your words as he gets into the bed on his respective side. He pulls you close against his body and begins to mindlessly play with your hair.
“You’re right, what about every other night?” You prop yourself up to glare at him.
“Once a week.” Loki narrows his own eyes at you. You hold his gaze until his features soften again.
“Once a week it is then, but just now you’re welcome in my bed any day of the week, you have an open invitation to my rooms.” You settle back down against his chest, his fingers move back to your hair.
“I’m only here right now because you asked so nicely, I didn’t think you had manners, it seems I was mistaken.” Loki lets out a small laugh at your playful insult.
“You’re the only one who will ever receive that treatment from me.” You turn your head to look at him, his eyes meet yours, he looks so tired, not just physically, he looks mentally exhausted.
“And why is that Loki?” Loki’s eyes light up a bit, a soft smile tugs on his lips.
“I’ve told you little fox, you’ve piqued my interest, your presence is intoxicating. I’ll do anything to keep you at my side, including asking nicely — and maybe I’ll even admit I’m wrong at some point, but don’t let it go to your head.”
“Too late, I think my ego could rival yours now.” Loki laughs again, his fingers rub at your scalp and you’re quickly lulled into another peaceful sleep tucked next to Loki’s side.

Night Time Drop-In
Pairing: Jigen Daisuke x Reader
Tumblr media
The late hours of the night offered a peace and solitude that differed from other times. You often found yourself up, despite the negative toll it took on your sleep schedule, occupying your time with a variety of things. Sometimes you would scroll online for hours at a time, waving away boredom with videos of your interests or with articles or other things. Other times, you would indulge yourself into hobbies you had (sometimes trying out other things, adopting or dropping it depending if it was a good fit for you). And sometimes, you would just stare out the window, gazing out towards the city you resided in, taking in the night scene.
This was one of those nights.
A sigh passed through your lips, a visible puff of air presenting itself from the condensation within the air. It was far too cold to have a window open, but the faint sound of sirens beckoned you forward with no concern for the chilliness.
Sirens were as common as they came, and while hearing one meant something was about to go down, you couldn’t help but feel a twitch of hope fill you upon hearing it. For every time you heard one, there was a possibility you’d see your love again. A slim chance, yes, but a chance nonetheless.
The screech of car tires and a call of nearing sirens caught your attention. You leaned out your window for a better look, and from the light of a streetlight you saw a yellow car round the corner and hightail it up your street. A smile spread on your lips at the sight of the yellow car. The fiat 500 classic was recognizable for you just at a glance, and as it passed the streetlight in front of your home you caught a glimpse of the inhabitants inside the fiat 500. Two men sat in the driver and passenger seats; one of them, the one your eyes settled on in the split second of the streetlight, donned a hat that hid half his face.
You couldn’t help but feel giddy.
You turned your head to watch the yellow fiat speed down the street before turning into an alleyway. Your head whipped back to the corner, where a couple police cars had just started to turn the corner and speed through the street. The police cars and the sirens quickly faded. A couple minutes passed, and your gaze would flicker over to the alleyway, in hopes that the fiat would return into view, or that the fiat’s inhibitors would come into view.
It only occured to you then of the breath you were holding. You exhaled, feeling the chilly air tingle the inside of your throat as you breathed in. The fiat’s appearance was a welcoming one, since it had been a while since you last saw it. So seeing it now really took your breath away.
The stir of an ongoing-engine pulled your eyes to the alleyway again. A study rise in your heartbeat grew until you swore it could leap out of your chest, and at the worst possible second you heard the rumbling engine cut off. The smile that had been on your lips faltered.
Did he leave? The thought nipped at you, but you shook your head in dismissal. No, of course not. He wouldn’t just leave after appearing. Jigen isn’t like that. The goosebumps running up your arms became apparent to you, and you rubbed your arms in an attempt to warm yourself. You couldn’t bear the thought of him coming to the city and leaving without saying hello.
Them being in the city.. did they plan a heist here? Was it successful?
Two familiar figures approached from the shadows of the alleyway, and when the light’s end made them recognizable to you a wave of exhilaration washed over you. In a flurry you left the window and made your way over to the door, slipping on some slippers as you hurried out the door. After a brisk walk down the hall and descending the flight of stairs down to the ground floor, your footsteps echoing through the hall, you hurried to the main doors that led into the apartment building. Through the window you spied the two men nearing the apartment, and when opening the door the cold air bit at your skin. But you couldn’t spare a moment to curse out the temperature; happiness pinched you, seeing the two men on the other side of the door.
The gentleman thief Arsène Lupin iii, and the gunman of the show, and your love, Daisuke Jigen.
“Jigen, Lupin- it’s been a while,” you said, your smile unwavering.
“It sure has,” Jigen says. A smile of his own peeked from the shadow cast on his face by his hat, and as you studied his face you noticed some grime on his cheek and over his nose, and on the front of his dress shirt. This made you raise an eyebrow.
“Couldn’t agree more,” Lupin piped up, his usual grin ever present. A once-over of the gentleman thief showed you he had grime smeared on him and his clothes too.
Two usually-tidy men with grime smeared on them and their clothes. An odd sight, to you. Before you could ask, a sheepish smile swapped Lupin’s previous grin while Jigen pulled the front of his hat lower as he glanced away. “Excuse the dirt,” Lupin says, waving off the look you had. “Mind letting us in?”
You nodded, beckoning them inside and closing the door behind them once they came in. You studied them for a moment, looking for blood or injuries. They looked fine, but she couldn’t be too sure. “Are you guys okay? Any injuries? Bullet wounds?” It’s been a bit since you had to patch one or all of them up. You kept the medic kit updated for whenever they’d visit, and after a couple of them she had gotten some more-qualified tools to help with taking care of injuries.
“Just a sore back,” Jigen says.
“Other than that, we’re perfectly fine,” Lupin said. “We were pretty lucky to get out unscathed. They shot at the fiat though-” he lets out a sigh, reaching up and rubbing at his head as he glanced away. “God, I don’t even know how many times I’ve had to replace the windows and other parts. We don’t always have money lying around to replace what other people destroy!”
“Lucky indeed, and a drag,” Jigen pipes up.
You hummed in response, nodding. “With the fiat in the condition it’s in though, is it safe to leave it unattended?”
“It’ll be fine,” Lupin said, dismissing your concern. “Besides, the only thing probably worth stealing from it is car parts, but the folks around here don’t mess with stuff that’s not theirs, right? So it’ll be okay.”
“If you say so,” you mumbled. You noticed the dirty footsteps the two men tracked in, your nose scrunching up in revulsion. You were going to have to mop the floor in your apartment sometime later, probably. “Your tracking dirt in. You guys can use my shower to clean up.”
Jigen turned his sole up to check at her mention, a ‘sorry’ coming from him. He opened the door, letting the chilly air in as he scraped his soles on the ground to get rid of the dirt. Lupin, on the other hand, jumped at the offer to use your shower.
“How kind of you!” he said, not noticing his tone becoming loud.
“Hush! You’ll wake up the neighbors,” you hissed at Lupin. Lupin chortled before making his way to the stairs, leaving you and Jigen behind a couple feet. You glared at the floor as Lupin walked off, his dirty shoes tracking filth on the hallway, before you turned away to look at Jigen, who came in again and closed the door behind him. With his partner’s back turned Jigen pecked your cheek hastily, saying he was glad to see you again. You beamed up at him, taking his hand and squeezing it before tugging him with you to catch up to Lupin. Jigen’s affection usually came in private, when it was just the two of you, but sometimes he’d sneak a peck (and you would too) when no one else was looking. Those were some of your favorite moments; alas, they were few, as you both would go months without seeing one another due to his adventures with his friends and being on the run from the law. While you would be lonely and yearn for him, you were able to keep yourself busy to avoid the thinking and longing, with the times Jigen would appear being spent with you together. Sometimes he’d be with you for a couple days (a week, if you were lucky), but most times it’d be a night before he had to leave.
“How've you been since I was gone?” Jigen asked. As you two got up the stairs, you heard Lupin call to you guys in a whispered tone to hurry up. “We’re coming, we’re coming, jeez, Lupin.”
“I’ve been keeping myself busy,” you replied to his question. You then shrugged a little, before adding, “If I have to admit, it’s been a little lonely.”
Jigen chuckled, his free hand adjusting the brim of his hat as his eye peaked out from underneath. You adored seeing his eyes, even if Jigen said they were nothing special. “It’s a good thing I’m here, then.”
You nodded in agreement, a soft giggle leaving you.
You reached the floor your apartment was on, and saw Lupin standing where your door was, leaning against it and tapping his shoe against the floor in an impatient manner. “And where are you on a rush to?” you ask.
“I’m just taking you up on your offer for using your shower is all,” Lupin says. You roll your eyes as you waved him away.
“The door’s open,” you tell him. “Don’t make a mess.”
“You got it!” Lupin calls behind him as he hurries into the apartment after opening the door.
“Don’t yell!” you hissed again, before groaning upon realizing he left the door wide open. “And don’t keep the door open-”
“Don’t take all the hot water,” Jigen calls after him, this time tugging you with him into your apartment. Lupin didn’t respond; only a jolly hum coming from the bathroom as you heard the shower turn on. You closed the door once getting inside, watching as Jigen knocked on the bathroom door, telling Lupin to not take a long time.
“Stop worrying, Jigen!” Lupin called over. “Just go snuggle with (y/n) while you wait!”
“God, the neighbors are gonna wake up if you don’t shut up,” you said. You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “The last thing I want is to have the police called because I’m harbouring criminals.” They would consider you an accomplice. That wouldn’t be good- you were no thief, just a regular citizen of the law. If anything, due to your relationship with Jigen, an affiliate would be more accurate. That was your only crime- except maybe for that one time you went fifteen miles over the speed limit to try and get to work, already being a half hour late.
“Sorry about ‘im,” you heard Jigen say. He moved over to you, and you wrapped your arms around him in a hug and rested your head against his chest. You didn’t care if you got dirty from the dirt on his clothes; you missed the closeness between the two of you. Jigen’s arms soon found their place around your waist in a cozy embrace, a satisfied hum leaving him. “I missed you so much.” His words came out in a soft whisper.
You smiled softly. “I missed you so much, too,” you whispered in return. You squeezed him in your embrace before loosening an arm around him to cup the side of his face. Some of the grime on his face caught your eye; you rubbed your thumb over a small patch of it, Jigen squinting his eye while your thumb became grime-coated. “How on earth did you and Lupin get so much grime on you? It looks like you rolled in the dirt, for pete’s sake,” you said jokingly. From your angle, you had a good look of his face, being able to see the features his hat brim’s shadow casted on him.
“That’s not too far off,” Jigen admits. An unbridled feeling of euphoria burst in you as Jigen leaned into your hand, the smile he was wearing gentle. He releases an arm and rests his hand atop yours, his gaze shirking away from yours as his smile twitched a little. “You know that museum about five, eight minutes from here? With that famous alexandrite gemstone necklace?”
You cocked your head to the side in curiosity, nodding. You knew what he was talking about, having heard that the expensive piece would be displayed for a limited time at the museum that week. “I know what you’re talking about- the necklace just got showcased today.” You guys stole it, you figured. They were thieves, afterall, so this wasn’t news to you. It did explain their unexpected arrival though.
“Yeah, well..” Jigen let out a sigh, his hand slipping from yours to scratch his cheek. “The heist didn’t go as we thought. Somehow we looked over another security system the museum had, and the police got there before we could even snatch the necklace.” Your eyebrows furrowed as you nodded your head in understanding. “What a waste, too-” Jigen mumbled, his hand propping on top of his hat before pushing it down to hide part of his face. “We got inside, didn’t get caught by security, almost got to the alexandrite necklace-”
“Hey now,” you interjected, cutting him off. You hated it when Jigen talked like this. Sure, sometimes their heists didn’t go as planned (either from Fujiko, the police, or some other force, you’ve heard enough stories from Jigen and his friends), but all they could do was try again next time or turn their sights to a different prize. With a softened gaze you kissed Jigen's bearded chin, causing him to look back at you. "You tried your best, and that's all there is to it," you state simply. Jigen was still for a moment before nodding his head. "If you need to, you two can stay here for a couple days to reassess the new security they'll probably have up. And Goemon is welcome to stay here too, if he likes."
"All three of us?" Jigen asked, surprised. "You're a really good host, but don't you think three of us would be hard to handle?"
"Just don't break anything or get the cops called here, and I think we'll all do just fine," you assured him. Then, teasingly, you add, “Besides, don’t you have faith in me?”
A chuckle came from the man you embraced. “I do, I do. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
The running water from the bathroom shut off, telling you Lupin was finished. “That won’t be a problem,” you tell Jigen. You lean up and kiss him, feeling him smile against your lips before pulling away. “I’ll get the couch ready for Lupin,” you say.
Jigen hums in reply, leaning down and pressing a kiss to your forehead before saying, “Alright.” A giggle escaped you as his beard tickled your skin, followed by another as he pressed a chaste kiss to your cheek. You turned your head and kissed him just below his lips, and felt Jigen’s chest rumble as he chuckled.
Just as Jigen leaned down to kiss you once more the bathroom door opened, revealing Lupin in the doorway with a white tank top and a pair of striped boxers. He was smiling, unashamedly staring at your and Jigen’s affectionate display. Jigen’s stop-mid-kiss had his cheek pressed against yours and both your heads turned to face Lupin, which only looked to amuse him more.
“Oh? Was I interrupting something?” he asked, feigning an innocent act. “My, my- what a sight, seeing Jigen all affectionate with his darling.”
“You’re always interrupting,” Jigen grumbled, scowling at his friend. “Go pick up your clothes- it’s my turn to use the shower.”
“Okay, okay- yeesh.”
As Lupin turned to pick up his dirtied garments, Jigen mumbled something to himself about ‘bad timing,’ kissing your cheek once more before pulling away. “Do you need to take a shower at all?” he asked. You shook your head, saying you already took one hours ago. Jigen nods, humming in reply before asking, “Did I leave some clothes here from last time I visited?”
You nodded. “Yeah, I kept them in the bottom drawer.” You took his hand and showed him to your bedroom, pointing to said drawer of your dresser before going to find some blankets to make a makeshift bed for Lupin. In a matter of minutes Jigen was in the bathroom taking his shower while you helped Lupin. Lupin’s clothes were getting washed in the washer, and once those were done you would have Jigen put his clothes in to get washed. You asked Lupin if he was comfortable, receiving a nod from him.
“Yep, I’ll be sleeping like a baby tonight!” Lupin replied cheerily from his spot on the couch. You sat in the arm chair beside the end of the couch, waiting for Jigen to finish up so they could retire for the rest of the night.
It’s already morning hours, you thought to yourself, checking the time on the wall clock. We’ll all be sleeping into the afternoon, probably. And I guess Goemon won’t be turning up soon- maybe he’s staying at a hotel for the night, or something. You turned to look over at Lupin, seeing him study the living room with a drowsy face. A lit cigarette hung from his lips before he pulled it out and held it between his fingers. “Hey, Lupin.” He turned his attention to you. “I told Jigen that you two and Goemon are welcome to stay a couple days if you need to. Depending on how much the museum ups their security because  of your heist tonight, you’ll have to figure out a way around it. Your fiat isn’t in the best condition, either, so getting it repaired before you leave would be wise.”
“You’re not wrong- the security will definitely be heightened, and my car isn’t in the best condition. But, ‘welcome to stay?’” Lupin repeats, his face matching Jigen’s when she told him they could stay. He breaks into a smile. “Gee, I never expected that, but thank you, really. Y’know, I’m glad Jigen found a gal like you; he’s still a big grump sometimes, but I know he gets really happy whenever he gets to see you.”
A fuzzy feeling warmed you at hearing Lupin’s words, nodding in response. You found it endearing, how Lupin was in regards to Jigen and your relationship; he was happy for you and him. ‘Especially since things were looking to turn around for Jigen,’ Lupin would say.
“You’re not thinking of anything all sappy, are you, (y/n)?” Lupin asked, interjecting your thoughts. You shook your head ‘no,’ although the smile you failed to bite back was apparent to the monkey-man. “You totally are! Probably something about Jigen’s smile, or me looking out for the guy, or about Jigen being-”
“You better watch yourself, Lupin. I can kick you out if I need to.”
“I’m done,” you heard Jigen say from the doorway. You turned over onto your side, smiling to him and beckoning him to get into the bed. He complied, first setting his old clothes on the small table at the end of your bed with his hat on top of the pile, before climbing into the bed and joining you beneath the covers. You set the book you’d been reading on your bedside table before turning over again and facing Jigen. You couldn’t resist a grin when seeing Jigen in his nightgown and cap, despite the weird look he gave you. "What's the face for? You've seen me wear this."
“I know, I know," you say, humming softly. You felt Jigen's arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him and his warmth. You curled your arms in a loose hold around him in return, your fingers rubbing soft circles and lines into his back while he fiddled with the ends of your hair.
A comfortable silence settled over the two of you, your breathing matching his own. You leaned into Jigen, tilting your head up to admire him. His eyes were closed and face was relaxed, and the soft rise and fall of his chest dozed you toward sleep. A small smile graced your lips as you tucked your head into his chest. “I love you,” you whispered to him.
A squeeze from Jigen in your embrace came as your response. “I love you, too,” followed thereafter.

Kiro’s Collection of Sounds Date Translation [CN]
Tumblr media
Hey! Just a couple of things before you begin reading. I don’t actually know Chinese so this translation was done through the power of Google Translate and with help from @keliosyfan. Thank you! 💛
I highly recommend reading the prologue to this date which I’ll link here. It gives some context and has some sweet and spicy moments. 😍 There’s also a phone call that comes before the date which I’ll link here.
This translation contains spoilers for a date that has not yet been released to the English server. If you wish to not be spoiled, please don’t look below the cut.
Hope you enjoy~ 💛
*Spoilers below for future content!*
[First Part]
The moment I opened the car door, unlike the smell of the city, fresh air flooded into my nose.
The air seemed to carry the fragrance of grass, and there were also some hints of wet grass.
Several flat brick houses in the distance were scattered on the hillside, and the smoke from the chimneys was also reflected by the sun with a faint golden light.
Ahead is the end of our journey; a village far away from the noise--
Kiro is currently composing a new song. To add more special elements to it, we are here to collect sounds.
Kiro: Miss Chips, come and help!
The flustered tone brought my thoughts back. I looked behind and saw Kiro getting out of the RV with several pieces of recording equipment.
I quickly hugged the microphone boom on his shoulders in my arms. He stabilized his balance, closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Kiro: The air here is so good. I picked a good place.
Kiro: We will definitely find the best sound here!
Tumblr media
Kiro: Gogogo!
We picked up the hand-drawn map and started to walk towards the village not far away.
MC: Passing through the small forest ahead, you will reach the elderly lady’s house!
As soon as the voice fell, there was a rustling sound in the grass not far away, accompanied by a few animal noises.
I followed the sound, and a big plump goose appeared in the gap between the grass and walk towards us swayingly.
I don’t know who was blocking the other’s way but we both stopped at the same time.
I couldn’t help thinking of the stories of many people being chased by geese, and my feet involuntarily took a step back.
Kiro: We unexpectedly met the rumoured “Country Bully”; Goose Boss!
It flapped its wings, telling us in a high-pitched manner, “Don’t mess with me!”
*Can confirm. Geese, especially Canadian geese, are hella vicious. They will just stand there and 👁👁. If you stare long enough, they’ll start honking and flapping their wings at you. They’re cute though!*
Kiro: Hahaha, it’s really as fierce as the ones in the video.
Kiro looked at Big Goose curiously and didn’t seem to realize the “crisis-ridden” situation at hand. I couldn’t help pulling on his sleeves.
MC: Let’s take a detour, just in case….
Before I could finish, there was another noise coming from the grass.
A few goslings poked their heads out. They are like yellow pompoms, and their eyes are looking at us steadily.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Hey~ *The way he said this was so cute!*
He spoke softly, bent down and waved.
Immediately afterwards, the goslings wandered over with wobbly feet, trying to climb on his calf again and again.
Kiro couldn’t help laughing. He put down his luggage, sat down and carefully touched the goose.
Kiro: Hello, future Goose Boss~
[Second Part]
After a while, one of the goslings flapped its wings and struggled to climb to the toe of Kiro’s shoes while making a soft sound.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Little guy, do you want me to hug you? *He’s talking so softly here 🥺*
The gosling seemed to understand what he meant by spreading its tiny wings and shaking its body.
Kiro gently held it up, looking at the little life in his palms without blinking.
Kiro: Miss Chips, would you like to come closer?
MC: Ok!
I just took a step when the ‘Goose Boss” in front of me gave a more threatening honk than before, and it rushed towards us with its neck thrust forward.
MC: ….Be careful!
Kiro quickly put down the goose in his hand steadily, but it was too late to dodge the collision of the Big Goose.
Tumblr media
The moment the Big Goose pounced on him, he opened his arms and held the Big Goose in his arms.
“Goose Boss” was stunned for a second, then spread its wings again and his long beak approached his cheek.
Kiro smiled without worry. He stretched out his palm to cover the goose’s head and gently pet it.
Kiro: Don’t be afraid, don’t be angry. I won’t hurt you. *Changed some wording*
The Big Goose shrank its neck somewhat resisting and honked a few times in protest, but Kiro still stroked it without letting go.
Kiro: We can be good friends, right?
His voice seemed to have magical power, and the Big Goose gradually quieted down. Its menacing wings also retracted.
It leaned lightly on his shoulder and squinted its eyes in content.
Kiro smiled and hugged the Big Goose and couldn’t help rubbing its white head a few more times.
Suddenly, the young goose at his feet wailed as if hungry, and the Big Goose immediately spread out its wings and jumped out of Kiro’s arms.
It gently combed the feathers on the goslings and then swaggered away with them.
Kiro smiled crookedly and waved his arms.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Goodbye, Goose Boss~
Watching them disappear gradually, Kiro stood up and rubbed the mud off of his body.
MC: Unexpectedly, the frightening Big Goose gave in to the “head pats”~ *This came out weird in GT so I changed this part up a bit*
Kiro: Of course, no one can resist “head pats”.
MC: Are you the same?
Kiro walked towards me, lowered his head and shook it.
Kiro: Miss Chips, would you like to try it too?
The curly blond hair swayed gently in the breeze as he shook, seemingly sending me the most sincere invitation.
It looked so soft and vibrant under the sun, I couldn’t help rubbing it a few times.
Kiro: Well….it’s true.
He immediately wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head into my neck and shoulder.
Tumblr media
Kiro: I am like a big goose now. I don’t want to leave anymore.
His warm cheeks were close to my collarbone, and a sudden rush of heat quietly reached the tips of my ears.
I didn’t know if he could hear my accelerating heartbeat. He raised his head and looked at me with pure blue eyes.
The next second, a hand fell on top of my head and rubbed it.
When I didn’t react, a sly smile raised at the corner of his mouth.
Kiro: Now it’s your turn.
He opened his arms and seemed to be waiting for me to pounce into his arms.
MC: ….Let’s hurry up and get to the elderly lady’s house!
I pretended to glare at him and walked forward with a chuckle.
But even if I speed up my pace, it seems that I can’t hide the sound of my heart beating like a drum.
(Cut to elderly lady’s house)
Soon we arrived at elderly lady’s house.
She is the person who is most familiar with the mountains and forests in the entire village. After she learned that we need to collect sounds, she enthusiastically introduced us to many places here.
After we gave her a greeting gift that we had prepared a while back, she took us to the backyard.
Although I heard many things about this lady’s backyard filled with a sea of flowers; after seeing it with my own eyes, it was even better than I had imagined--
Clusters of slender branches are adorned with flowers of different varieties. Large painting-like flowers rippled with the wind, setting off a “wave”.
I closed my eyes and the wonderful sounds around me continued to interweave, entangle, and overlap, as if playing a song.
I turned my head to look at Kiro and found that he had also closed his eyes.
The sunlight gleamed on the side of his face and the corners of his lips curled up as if greedily taking everything in around him.
Against the background of the sea of flowers, all the light and colours are gathering towards him, becoming extremely dazzling.
I don’t know if he felt my gaze but he opened his eyes and looked at me.
Kiro: Miss Chips, are you ready to move into our Flower Sea View Room?
(Cut to room)
We walked into the cabin. Although the space was not large, it was very tidy. Some flower buds had even bloomed, filling the cabin with life.
MC: It’s really nice here and the scenery is pleasant. And along the way, it was very quiet because there were no people around!
MC: This way, you don’t have to worry about being interrupted, and you can do what you want without any restraint.
Tumblr media
Kiro: With no restraint?
Before the words finished, he raised a lazy smile and dragged me into his arms. Our center of gravity was thrown off at the same time and we fell on the soft bed.
I stared at Kiro above me in a daze. He pushed some hair on my face away, leaving an itchy feeling.
Kiro: Then I have a lot of things I want to do….
Tumblr media
Kiro: You will cooperate with me, right?
His breath was so breathy and soft, it made the tips of my ears turn red instantly.
MC: If it is a reasonable thing….of course I will cooperate.
Kiro: Let’s rest for a while.
He fell on the bed and hugged me tightly, leaving only a small gap for us to breathe freely.
Kiro: Before collecting sounds, let’s be lazy. But not too much~
[Third Part]
After the afternoon nap, Kiro and I walked into the mountains with our equipment and started the official sound-collecting trip.
Seeing the porcelain doll originally placed in the RV hung on his backpack, I couldn’t help but be a little surprised. He seemed to see my doubts and shook his backpack.
Kiro: It is the main character of this song, and I want to take it and set off.
Kiro: I believe that everyone listening will be moved by it. *Changed some wording*
Kiro: Creation is like a kind of communication. The creator just tells us what the character wants and does it another way.
Kiro: So since it is going to find the “fragments” that have been lost, this doll cannot be absent from the process.
Kiro lowered his eyes and gently rubbed the porcelain doll with his fingertips. I couldn’t help holding his hand.
MC: So have you figured out what sound you want to collect?
Tumblr media
Kiro: Of course….I’m collecting all of the beautiful sounds.
Kiro: There are always people experiencing unsatisfactory things, I want to use these sounds to awaken the beautiful memories that are not noticed by them.
His earnest words can’t help but remind me that each of his songs seems to bring light and power to everyone.
MC: Then I have to make a contribution and prick up my little ears to find the sound!
Kiro looked at me and raised his brows slightly.
Kiro: Miss Chips, do you know?
Kiro: In fact, in some special circumstances, you can let the sound actively find you.
MC: Really, how do we do that?
Kiro: Such as….
He pressed the corners of his lips, his eyes closed, and then a warm touch pressed against my ears.
Kiro: I am the “sound” that will come to your door. *It took everything in me to keep to the original as much as possible. My mind went many places 😳*
Tumblr media
Kiro: Whenever Miss Chips gets bored or misses me, I will be the first thing to pop into your ears. *HIS VOICE IS SO BREATHY AND LOW AAAAAAHHHH*
I couldn’t help but tremble and my heart was beating wildly.
MC: You….!
He tilted his head, smirking like a little devil.
Tumblr media
Kiro: I seem to hear a special heartbeat.
I realized that I had accidentally fallen into his “trap” and had to blush and ran forward.
MC: There seems to be a sound in front of me. Let me go and take a look!
(Cut to spring)
Kiro and I walked forward slowly and the sounds from the distance before became clearer and clearer--
The gurgling clear spring faintly made the sound of water colliding with the stones, and the crisp birdsong in the sky also flew near and above.
Kiro put in his earphones and walked forward softly.
He bends down for a while and stretches his hands in front of him; he raises his arms high again as if he is adjusting his posture following the bird’s path.
The sun shines through the gaps in the leaves, through the mist in the forest, and poured a little bit onto him, creating a beautiful aperture.
Looking at Kiro like this, I was subconsciously drawn in.
It seemed that whenever he was immersed in the world of sound, his expression would become extremely pure and profound.
There is a sense of keenness in his eyebrows, but the curvature of the corners of his mouth never fell.
He is very happy.
Thinking of this, I smiled to myself.
Suddenly, he walked up to me, took out the earphones and gently put them in my ears.
Kiro: Listen with earphones; you will find many unexpected nuances.
Following his whispers, the natural sounds around me rushed into my ears like a spring.
The sound in the earphones seems to be completely different from the sound heard by human ears at ordinary times--
The sounds of birds, cicadas, springs, and the wind brushing leaves are more delicate and clearer than usual.
These pure sounds are usually drowned out by the sounds of the city.
Tumblr media
Kiro: How do you like it?
MC: I think these sounds have become a song….
Kiro looked into the distance with a serene smile in his eyes.
Kiro: They are original songs created by nature.
Hearing this, I quickly took off one of the earphones and put it in his ear.
MC: The let’s listen for a while~
I leaned against Kiro’s body, quietly feeling the “music” in the earphones.
The sounds around me kept flowing and flowing into my ears. I couldn’t help but close my eyes and imagine the invisible scenes one by one--
The leaves fell on the ground with the wind and the fish flipped in the stream with splashes, water droplets falling from a height….
These sounds automatically filled the picture inside my mind, drawing every detail. I couldn’t help but laugh softly.
Kiro: MC, what are you laughing at?
I opened my eyes and found that he had seemed to have been looking at me the whole time.
MC: I was just imagining the scenes of these sounds and I thought that the experience this time was amazing.
MC: I haven’t finished yet, why are you laughing!
I said, poking at the corner of his raised mouth.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Because I found myself thinking the same thing as you.
Kiro: So I can’t help but feel…. very, very happy.
Suddenly, a ray of sunlight seemed to pierce through the clouds and shoot straight down, making the surroundings shine brightly.
Even the porcelain doll hanging on Kiro’s backpack was shining brilliantly.
[Fourth Part]
As it was getting late, Kiro and I were passing by the small pool in the backyard with a “full load” when he suddenly stopped.
MC: What’s happening?
Kiro glanced at the pool next to him, his eyes flickering slightly.
Tumblr media
Kiro: MC, do you want to cool down?
Although my clothes weren’t soaked, the sweat from my forehead kept coming.
I looked at the cold pool and couldn’t help nodding.
We put down the equipment in our hands, turned on the hose and walked towards the pool.
He sat down by the pool first and then stretched out his hand to me.
I thought he was going to help me sit down but I didn’t expect him to gently pull me to sit on his lap.
Kiro: There is mud on the ground. Sit with me.
As if guessing what I would do next, he wrapped his arms around my waist and tightened them.
MC: I’m….I’m not afraid of getting dirty.
I blushed and retorted but did not continue to struggle. My feet splashed the water gently.
The water splash sounded continuously and it blended into the surrounding cicadas seamlessly--
This is the sound of summer.
I couldn’t help but lean my head on his shoulder and the porcelain doll was reflected by the moonlight in the corner of my eye.
Thinking of its story, I couldn’t help but feel something in my heart and spoke slowly.
MC: This porcelain doll may represent a lot of people. Despite being “broken”, it felt that it was not a big deal.
MC: But over time, more and more cracks in the body began to make it incomplete….
MC: When I think about it, it must feel empty.
Kiro lowered his head, his breath lightly brushed my cheek.
He looked at me quietly, his eyes seemed to be mixed with inexplicable emotions.
MC: However, I’m not worried about this situation!
MC: Because I have you, Kiro.
MC: Whenever I encounter problems in life and work, I will face them more positively as much as possible.
MC: Because of you, I am not afraid of anything.
I couldn’t help laughing and there was a little splash on my feet.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Mm, Miss Chips has me.
Kiro: I hope you are always happy.
His tone was with undeniable certainty and a warm current suddenly surged in my heart.
MC: However, Kiro, you also have me.
MC: I will also make you happy forever and ever.
Kiro looked at me deeply and suddenly widened his eyes slightly as if thinking of something.
Kiro: I seem to have a new idea!
He raised the corners of his mouth and hummed a brisk melody on the spot.
MC: Is this your new song? It seems different from the demo before.
Different from the soothing tune before, the melody this time is light and free; as soft as lying on a cloud.
Tumblr media
Kiro: Because MC has changed it.
MC: Eh, how did I change it?
Kiro wrapped his arms around me tightly again and looked at me softly.
Kiro: Before, I wanted to awaken some of the beautiful memories that people hadn’t noticed and retrieve the lost goodness.
Kiro: But there are actually more powerful ideas than this, like a porcelain doll, for example.
Kiro: Even if it doesn’t get its lost fragments back, it can still use the leaves, petals and grass that pass by to complete itself again--
Kiro: It can have a new ending in the future!
Kiro looked straight at me, his eyes full of stars.
Tumblr media
Kiro: In fact, we can also re-decorate with the beauty around us and become who we are now.
Kiro: Just like how you have been by my side, I became the current Kiro.
Kiro: When I am happy, you turn it into double happiness. When I am tired, you will be my power bank. When I’m frustrated….
Kiro: You are the reason that I won’t fall down.
Kiro: I accepted all the “fragments” you gave me and became my current self; a better Kiro.
Each word he spoke pulled my heartstrings inadvertently.
MC: Kiro….
Before I finished speaking, there was a sound of water pouring coming from the hose.
I don’t know why the hose was still trickling just now. A large amount of water came gushing out of it and began to dance in the air.
Kiro and I couldn’t avoid getting most of our bodies soaked and he hurriedly reached out to hold the hose in a panic.
Just as Kiro had grasped it, the hose sprayed me.
I instinctively turned my head and threw myself into Kiro’s arms, but my lips brushed against something soft.
I immediately lowered my head and buried it in his neck.
Tumblr media
Kiro: What’s wrong? Why is your face suddenly hot?
MC: It’s nothing. It’s just a bit hot.
Suddenly, his chest trembled slightly, as if he has seen through my cover and was trying his best to hide a laugh.
Kiro: Oh~ So that’s the case. Let me cool you down.
As soon as the voice fell, he raised the hose in his hand and pointed it at me at a relatively safe distance.
The jet of water brushed my ears, bringing a comfortable icy coolness.
Kiro: Is it cooler now?
I subconsciously looked away and responded to him in somewhat of a daze.
MC: Okay, much better, thank you!!
Kiro: Now that you’ve said thank you, can I ask for another reward?
MC: ….What do you want?
Tumblr media
Kiro: I want Miss Chips to replicate the moment with me before.
He seemed to be deliberately reminding me that he was very close to me, his hot breath blew from the tip of his nose.
I stared at him blankly and finally looked at his lips.
My thoughts flooded like a tide, and my lips suddenly became a little hot.
MC: You are shameless….!
Tumblr media
Kiro: No, I’m asking for it honestly.
Seeing him blinking his eyes cheekily, I wanted to laugh.
MC: Well….
I took a deep breath, held his face and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
Tumblr media
In the next second, a jet of water splashed my ears--
Kiro: That one just now doesn’t count. Do it again.
MC: Kiro!
As soon as the voice fell, he touched the tip of my nose, his eyes locked onto my face.
Kiro: I want more than that.
His soft voice crept into my ears, leaving traces of tickling.
Kiro: Those lost fragments….
Kiro: Let me fill them in for you.
After he finished speaking, he closed his eyes and my lips were instantly covered by a soft touch. His breath is sweet, like a fruit gummy.
He seemed to pour out all the hidden emotions that he couldn’t express out into this kiss, which was long and uncontrollable.
I also close my eyes and responded softly. In fact, I still have a lot to say.
I want to tell him--
Actually, you have done more for me.
You have brought light to me, and you have made me more courageous to look forward to a better future.
Because of you, I gradually became a better version of myself.
End

Your feet drag you out of your apartment the second the words left Peter’s mouth. He had called you and explained to you what happened. Your purse over your shoulder, car keys in one hand and phone shaking in the other.
“What do you mean?” You ask, trying to comprehend. Hot tears fill your eyes the second you hear his words for a second time through the speaker.
“She was in an accident, Y/N. They called her parents already and they’re on their way. I’m with Ned, he’s driving. Just, be safe a-” You couldn’t even listen to him anymore. Your vision turns blurry as sobs escape your lips. Peter sighs and tries to get your attention as he repeats calling your name.
“Y/N! I’m on my way to yours, we’ll drive together.” he says before hanging up and leaving you in the silence of your room. You only nod and lower your phone as you stare ahead of you, remembering what happened only a day ago.
The grin on her face disappears the moment she registered what you said. Your eyes turned glossy and you looked down, trying to hide the fact that you were about to cry.
“What? What did you say?” She came closer to you, in an attempt to take your hand and lock your fingers. You stepped back, back hitting the door behind you and pulling your hand back.
“Mj, you heard me…,” She shakes her head, muttering “no, no..” until she looked up to you again and the tears started spilling out her eyes. You only nod, not being able to drag out any words. You didn’t want to do this, and she knew. But you had to, after what Tony told you, that’s what she didn’t know.
Tony had told you about his job, and about the many times Pepper was in danger because of him. It started off as a normal conversation between him and you. He was just trying to warn you of the dangers of your new job as an almost-avenger.
You had gotten your powers after being bitten by a spider, the same way Peter got his. The only difference: you were better at keeping secrets. That’s why it took Tony almost six months longer to recruit you, after he recruited Peter.
Since Mj didn’t know why you were doing this, she kept asking you why. Pulling you in, but you resisting. Her hands reach to you, only for you to step back, again.
“I promise you, I don’t- I don’t want to do this, Mj. I just,” you looked up and let out a shaky breath,”I’m so, so scared! Please, just understand.” Were the words you let out before turning around, stepping out of her cozy home and walking home.
You weren’t going to forget this night.
And you didn’t. Oh, how much you wish to have stayed and hold her in your arms, telling her that everything was going to be okay and you weren’t going to leave, never.
Instead, you are waiting in front of your front door step for Peter and Ned to pick you up and drive you to the hospital, in which your now ex-girlfriend lay.
You don’t even notice them pulling up after seven minutes of waiting, until a black car honks and pulls you out of your crying state. The window rolls down and Ned waves at you. You quickly get up and sit in the backseat, taking out your phone and scrolling through the messages you got earlier today.
You had tossed your phone against the wall when you came home yesterday and ignored every call and message you got, most of them from Mj, which you now regret more than ever.
Mj 🌺
y didn’t u pick up?
look ik you probably don’t want to talk but at least give me a reason??!
hellooo?
A couple more of her asking for reasons and demanding to know why, two messages from Ned and the last one from Peter, telling you to drive to the hospital. You sniffle, tears threatening to leave your eyes, again, and look out the window at the houses and trees melting away as the car passes them. It was still morning, which is why it was dark. Why was she out this late?, you asked yourself and look at her messages again. She sent her last one at two am.
Mj 🌺
u can’t just do this and leave?
yk what? i’m gonna find out myself
A gasp left your mouth as more tears slipped past your eyes. She was on her way to yours to find out why you broke up. She tried to find out why you ignored her calls and texts and didn’t want to be with her anymore.
“Ned?” You ask quietly when he stops the car in front of the hospital. Peter gets out and opens your door, taking your hand and helping you out. Ned steps out, too, and makes his way to the registration.
“I’m sure she’s fine, they-” before Peter could finish, you jog after Ned and stand next to him. An old lady, hair pulled back in a tight bun, wearing a white coat and tired smile sits in front of you. She glances up at you and then back at the computer screen in front of her.
“We’re here for Mj, she came in an hour ago-” The woman cuts off Peter as she nods.
“You three are related to her in what way?” She wants to know. Ned opens his mouth but shuts it when you’re about to interrupt him.
“Her brother,” you lie and motion with your hand to Ned and back at you. “And I’m her girlfriend.” She looks sceptical at first, as if she knows you’re lying. Then, glancing back at the screen and you, she gives you the floor and room number.
You instantly turn around and make your way to the elevator, the two boys behind you thanking the woman silently and following along with you.
You step out the lift and look at the long, empty hallway in front of you. On each side were big, grey painted doors with small windows. The hallway is empty, except for two nurses who sat behind the reception. There were paintings by kids hung up on the white walls and a long, white lamp luminating the corridor in low lights.
“Number 305, 305, 305,...” you murmur as you make your way past the doors on your right. Peter darts from door to door on your left, whilst Ned is following you and takes a double-look, as you seem to skip over them hastily.
“Guys, guys!” Peter hurries you to the closed door before him and peaks through the small window. You take a sharp intake of breath and grab the door handle swiftly, but you stop yourself.
“Wha- why did you stop?” Ned wonders out loud.
“I think I’m the least person she wants to see right now,” you say through glossy eyes and biteyour bottom lip. Peter scoffs.
“Dude, she wanted to see you. She’s been asking about you non-stop yesterday. The least you could do is go in and be the first one she sees,” he demands and slowly pushes the door open, “and explain,” he narrows his eyes at you and pushes you in, closing the door quietly after stepping in with Ned.
Walking in, you plant your feet at the end of her bed. There was a food try on a small table next to her, with a bouquet of flowers and a small card. You couldn’t make out much of what it read, except for a “get well <3”, which you assume must’ve been from Betty. It resembled her handwriting.
An IV connected to her left arm, that was draped over a white, thin blanket with black spots. The lights were low, but the wide and tall window let in an excessive amount of light, as it was getting brighter outside. The second patient bed in the room was empty and tidied, and the privacy curtains were on one side. The TV next to her head was turned on, silently playing some cartoon she must’ve watched before falling asleep. The room smelled like lemon-cleaner, which made Ned hold his nose before he got used to the new smell.
Her head was draped to one side and her eyes shut. There was a white band around her head and you could see that her hair was a little shorter; They must’ve cut it to attend her wounds, you think. That thought alone made your eyes turn wet again and step away from her. Peter shoves you back to the bed and motions to the girl laying on the bed.
“I can’t, she probably hates me now,” you shake your head as tears threaten to spill again and your hand goes straight to your chest, fisting the fabric on it.
“Y/N, you can’t ju-” There was movement on the bed, which made Ned stop talking. Mj moved her head, slowly opening her eyes. She looks around the room before her eyes settle on you three.
“Wha-” Her voice comes out harsh and croaked. Coughing, she goes on, “What the fuck.”
Ned stifles a laugh but goes back to serious when Peter glares at him. Your friend on the bed moved up again. Peter nudges your shoulder, signaling for you to go and help her. With wide eyes, you stare at him, arguing with your eyes to stay back.
“Wait- Y/N, go help her. I’ll tell the nurse she woke up,” Peter demands as he leaves the room, without sparing you a last glance. Ned leaves with him, silently apologizing and wishing you luck.
You walk to the small TV first, turning it off and moving it away from the bed and replacing it with a chair to sit on. You take the remote next to her bed and push the button for the bed to lift and make it easier for her to sit. She grabs the blanket tight in her fist and lifts her body up to sit straight, you help her and adjust the grey pillow behind her back.
“Uhm, hi,” you whisper, looking anywhere but her face as you sit down. She was confused, a frown sitting on her lips and her eyes squinted at your figure. You didn’t want to face her so soon, even less in such a situation.
“I’m- I’m sorry, I don’t really know what to do and,” you sniffle,, letting out a sigh, your face hiding behind your hands as you rub your temple. “I came to- to see you and ask how you are?” It sounds more like a question leaving lips. You didn’t know how to start the conversation.
“What?” A small laugh leaves her lips, which calms you down. Her laugh and giggles always help you through difficult times and make you feel a kind calmness you only experience with her. She doesn’t seem mad, you think before mentally slapping yourself- she had just woken up from surgery after getting into a car crash because you wouldn’t tell her the truth.
“How do you feel?” You wonder. “Do you remember anything that happened?” She nods and looks down at her hands.
“No, no. This is going so fast. You- you broke up with me, for no reason, and now you’re here saying you’re sorry?” She searched for an answer. Her eyes were boring into you, waiting for a valid answer. She had every right to know, but it was complicated for you to explain.
“I’m-” The door opens and Peter walks in.
“The doctor’s gonna come in to check,” he comments as he sits down on the chair next to the small blue table. Taking out his phone and unblocking it, he starts mindlessly scrolling through it, ignoring you and Mj in front of him.
“Uhm, Pete?” You cough and tilt your head to the side, signaling for him that you weren’t done talking.
“What- Oh,” he whispered as he got up again. “How do you feel?” He walks up to the bed and looks at Mj. She glances at you and back at him, pursing her lips before talking.
“My head kinda hurts, my ribs hurt when I breathe, I can’t sit straight and my girlfriend broke up with me. I feel excellent!” She replies, sarcasm dripping off her voice.
That 's Mj for you. Sarcasm is what gets her through the day, there's not one situation in which she stayed serious. The day she asked you out, she reminded you of how obvious it was that you had a crush on her and that you’re not really good at hiding your flustered state everytime she catches you staring at her in class. Spending more time with her after your first date just proved it for you even further.
Peter lets out a breath and looks at you. “Should I-?” He points to the door and gives it a look. You nod and put your lips into a thin line as he leaves the room slowly, apologizing and closing it quietly.
“I’m so fucking sorry. I shouldn’t have done that yesterday. It’s just,” you stop yourself and breath in slowly, stopping yourself from exposing your secret. She doesn’t know about your alter ego. All the times you wanted to tell her, you were too scared she’ll be mad you didn’t tell her sooner or ask why you lied about doing homework and went patrolling instead, facing any danger there was out there waiting for you as if it was nothing.
You were already scared something would happen to her because you told her your secret. And now? Now, she lay in a hospital bed in front of you, with broken ribs and a head wound, because you didn’t tell her about your secret.
“What? What were you gonna say?” She presses. You lean back on the chair, hugging yourself as you stare into her beautiful brown eyes.
“Will you promise to not tell anyone?” You ask, already scared of her reaction.
“Tell anyone what?” She frowns. “If you’re gonna tell me that you lo-”
“I’m Capes,” you blurt out before she can finish her sentence. To your defense, you already knew what she was going to say. Letting her finish would just drag this out longer.
“Capes?” She asks again. You nod and lean forward. Tony picked the name for you. It was simple yet mysterious. Most people think of somebody wearing a cape, who can fly, and is strong. Yes, someone like Superman. This was your disguise: making people think of your abilities as something completely else and not letting them know. This way, they could assume all they want, and never find out your true abilities.
“So, you’re...an avenger?”
“No, well yes, but actually no,” you shake your head and go on,” I fight with P- uh Spider-Man, but we do talk with the avengers and meet them,” you explain.
“And what exactly does this have to do with our relationship? I might have skipped something, but, why did you break up? Because you’re a superhero?”
“Yeah, that’s the whole point.” You shyly smile at her.
“Tony told me about the danger Pepper was in and-”
“Tony Stark?” Her eyes go wide as she clutches the blanket on her stronger. You nod, again.
“Yes, Tony Stark. The internship, remember?” You remind her. You had told her about having an internship with Peter at Stark’s. She supported you through it, always motivating you to do better. She nods and lets you continue.
“Tony told me about the danger Pepper, his wife, had and still has to go through. With the world knowing he’s Iron Man and who he’s married to, they could take her any time or do something to hurt him. I- I didn’t want this to happen to us. It reminded me of you,” you whisper.
“But I guess me not telling you and lying just got you in more danger.” You let out a breathy sad laugh. Her eyes soften when she understands.
Her hand rests limp by her side. You dared to take it and lace your fingers with hers. She glances down to them and back up to you, squeezing your hand lightly and sending you a light smile.
“I- I never knew…” “How? I never told you. I don’t want you to feel bad, it wasn’t your fault. I lied to you. All the times I stayed over at the library? I was on patrol. That one time I told you I was sick? Tony had called me in to try on a new suit. I’m sorry,” you apologize, looking at her with sad eyes.
“I know it wasn’t my fault. It’s just...I never would’ve thought you were the one fighting alongside Peter or that you actually went and saved a little girl and her cat from a fire, instead of arriving to our date on time.”
“Yeah, I know and-” You stop yourself. “What? Peter? What, no,” you laugh nervously, shaking your head repeatedly. How does she know?
“Don’t worry, it didn’t take me that long to find out. At first, I thought you were cheating everytime you and him left at the same time or skipped class together. It hurt, you know? But, after being sceptical for a long time I had enough.” You frown, a pang in your chest at the thought of her thinking you were cheating. You would never, she meant anything to you. Never in a million years would you think about trading her as if she was nothing just for something like a hookup.
“I followed you once and you ran into this, really dark and smelly alley, with Peter behind you,” she whispers. Your heart breaks. “Em, I’d never. I promise, you mean so much to me and I’d never trade what we have for anything else. I regret this so much. I’m so, so fucking sorry. Please,” you whisper and shuffle your chair closer to the bed. Your left hand rests against her cheek, wiping the tear escaping her eyes.
“Are you- Are you still mad?” You ask. “You have every right to be mad, I’m sorry. But I told you my secret and I have to know if you don’t tell anyone because even if we stay apart now, you’d still be in danger if people found out we dated,” you rant and look behind her out the window to calm down.
“Shut up,” she whispers as she comes closer to you, and you scoot closer, too, making it easier for her.
“What do-” She pulls you closer, resting her forehead against yours and breathes in. “I said, shut up,” she murmurs against your lips and pulls you in, pressing her lips against yours and grabs the back of your neck. Your eyes open wide with surprise before flattering close slowly, getting used to the kiss.
She pulls you closer by the neck, her soft lips moving against yours smoothly. You can hear your heartbeat thud with excitement in your own ears. This wasn’t the first time she had kissed you, but you still need to get used to her lips pressed against yours. Your noses bumps against each other, making you pull away awkwardly and look at her rosy cheeks
“Oh.” You turn around to look at the door, Peter and Ned standing there.
“I think this means you guys are good?” You turn back to look at Mj, her loving eyes already staring back at you. You quickly look down, flustered under her gaze.
“Yeah,” you respond and squeeze her hand three times. It was your secret way of saying ‘I love you’ before you came out to the others and were left to say goodbye in front of them.
Peter and Ned sat down on a chair and high fived each other, happy for their two best friends being back together. She looks at you. “Does Ned know?” She whispers your way, only you can hear her. You are taken by surprise. You didn’t expect her to mention your secrets in front of him. “Yeah, he does.”
“By the way, Peter,” She starts. He lifts his head and looks back at her, nodding. “How was it being recruited by Iron Man himself? Fought alongside Thor, yet?” She winks at him. He blushes and snaps his eyes to you, asking why she knows.
“I didn’t tell her:” You shrug and look back at her. “She’s just smart, y’know,” you add.
“Dude!”

Todomatsu - Kill her? Why Would I?
𝘛𝘰𝘥𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘶 𝘟 𝘚𝘪𝘤𝘬!𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳
(Can you tell I'm running out of title ideas)
"[Y/N]!" Todomatsu sang from outside your front door, rocking back and forth on his heels excitedly. "We're gonna hang out today, remember?"
It was silent from the other side of the door. His smile faltered for a split second before he knocked again.
"[Y/N]...? Y-You haven't forgotten, have you?" His laugh was tense while he fidgeted with his fingers, shifting from one foot to the other. He tried again, louder this time.
"Hey! Did you sleep in? You're at home, right?" He hated how desperate he sounded, but this was you he was talking about. One of the few people (if not, only person) he truly cared about. The one person he wanted to keep by him for as long as he could before those five demons came along and messed everything up for good.
The thuds on your door echoed throughout your apartment before shuffling was heard from behind the door. Todomatsu froze as it began to unlock and open slowly, squeaking on its hinges. He gasped, quite dramatically.
There you stood. Still donned in your pyjamas, with your hair very dishevelled and eyes rimmed a pale pink. You were breathing a little heavy for someone who just walked a few feet to their door. All in all, you didn't look good. Todomatsu would never say it out loud, but you looked horrible.
"[Y/N]? Are you okay?" He quickly asked after a split second of silence. You clutched onto the door frame, a guilty frown on your lips.
"Todomatsu.." he flinched at how dry your voice sounded, "I'm so sorry.. I didn't forget about our plans today, but I got sick. I meant to call, but my mind's been all fuzzy..." At those words, your legs wobbled dangerously. Although you were using the doorframe as a stand, you began sliding down to the ground as all strength dissipated from your body.
The man leapt into action, hastily wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you against him. He could feel your body heating up through your clothing (which he tried not to let get to him. It wasn't the right time).
"S-Sorry.." you mumbled. You tried to push him away with feeble hands, only for him to hold you tighter. "Don't, Todomatsu! You'll just get sick, too!"
"It doesn't matter," he stood up carefully with you still in his arms, leading you back inside with no struggle. "I can just pass it on to my brothers. I'm not gonna let you stay like this on your own, though. Who do you think I am?"
You were taken back to your bedroom, and you thanked your past self for at least managing to keep it tidy, save for your bed. Todomatsu straightened it out a bit before helping you sit back down. His cheeks flushed a light pink as he moved away.
"I'm gonna get some stuff from back home. My mom has some kind of homemade remedies for this kind of stuff. In the meantime, you..." he cleared his throat. Now was not the time to act like some kind of virgin. "Y-You should change out of your c-clothes, since you're probably... s-sweaty. I'll be back later!"
He cursed himself for stammering and that damn squeakiness in his voice, hoping you hadn't seen too much of his now flushed face. If you didn't know any better, you would think that he was the one who was ill.
You let out a small smile as you slowly went about gathering a fresh set of pyjamas, the image of his pretty pink cheeks and quivering lips stuck in your mind.

The door to the Matsuno home slammed open and shut in a hurry, startling the five others in the living room. They watched curiously was the youngest brother rushed through to the kitchen, making quite the racket as he rummaged through various cupboards and shelves.
"Todomatsu?" Choromatsu called from the doorway, squashed by the others. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing." He replied blankly, pointedly ignoring them as he reached up for a small container. Ichimatsu glared at his younger sibling, knowing he was hiding something.
"What a dry monster..." he murmured darkly.
"Totty!" Osomatsu leaned against the small table in the kitchen. "C'mon! You can tell your favourite older brother what's going on, right?" He cooed.
"Of course he will tell me!" Karamatsu jumped in, pushing Osomatsu out of the way. "Dear burazza, whatever the issue is, just know that I, your absolute favourite older brother, am here for-!"
"Why are you getting the homemade medicine?" Jyushimatsu asked, covering his mouth with along sleeve.
"Eh..?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Todomatsu shoved the small containers and numerous other medicines into his bag before adjusting the strap over his shoulder, preparing to walk out as if nothing had happened. However, he knew that a fight was to be fought as the aura of his demonic brothers flooded the doorway, blocking his escape.
"Now, now, Totty," Choromatsu grinned darkly. "Just tell us what's going on and we'll let you go."
"Don't try to bluff your way out of this," Ichimatsu toothily smiled, placing a hand on Todomatsu's shoulder with a painfully obvious tight grip. "Play nice with your onii-sans, okay?"
Todomatsu's expression was blank as he stared down at the ground. He flexed his fingers around the strap of his bag, taking a deep breath.
"[Y/N]'s sick."
A tense silence filled the room.
"...Huh-?"
"So.." His face contorted into fury, eyes practically bulging from their sockets as he suddenly grabbed the kitchen table, chucking it across the room towards his shocked brothers. "Get out of my way!!"
His screams echoed through the house as he took off at a sprint, leaving his brothers in the dust. They all squirmed to get out of the pile of heavy bodies and wooden bits of table crushing them down.
"What the hell was that about?!" Osomatsu wheezed as Jyushimatsu pressed his body weight further into him instead of getting up, laughing giddily.
"Totty's gonna kill her, probably!" The yellow clad boy chuckled.
"How can you sound so positive when you say something like that?" Choromatsu scolded, being the first to squeeze out of the pile.
"Get off me, Shittymatsu!" Ichimatsu growled, kicking at his older brother as he scrambled out next. Karamatsu fell to the ground with a light thud, groaning as he rubbed at his head.
"M-My apologies, burazza..."
"This is an emergency!" Choromatsu cried.
"Shouldn't that be my line..?" Osomatsu mumbled underneath his breath, sitting up.
"If we don't hurry, Todomatsu's gonna kill [Y/N]!"
"What if Todomatsu's actually trying to help her, though? We shouldn't doubt our youngest this quickly," Karamatsu contemplated, cupping his chin. He felt a hand grab his shoudler, finding Osomatsu staring at him with a tense smile.
"Don't you remember what he did to us the last time we got sick?" He reminded. "He set us on fire, the little bastard."
"...True." Karamatsu began to sweat, worried for your safety like the others. They all leapt to their feet, rushing out the door together.
"We're gonna save [Y/N]!" Jyushimatsu announced excitedly, waving his arms around as they all took off down the street, heading towards your apartment.
»»----- ♔ -----««
"I'm back!" Todomatsu sang happily, as if he hadn't just ran for his life. He popped his head into your room, smiling softly as you tried to sit up.
"You didn't have to do this, Totty.." you clutched your head, feeling dizzy. The man came over and guided you with soft hands, fluffing the pillow behind you so that you were comfortable.
"You're right, I don't have to. But I want to look after you," you were a little surprised by how soothing his voice was, only for him to snap back out of it. "Doesn't that just make me the best? Teehee!"
You rolled your eyes playfully, swatting weakly at him with your hands. He chuckled as he rummaged through his bag, bringing out the medicine.
"I'll just go and grab a spoon.." he mumbled, leaving for a moment and returning with the utensil in hand. He settled beside you, pouring the liquid onto the metal.
"Say 'aah!'" He teased mischievously, making you giggle. You took the spoon into your mouth, face scrunching up almost instantly at the weird, tangy taste lingering in your mouth.
Todomatsu laughed loudly at your reaction, pressing a kiss to your temple.
"That was adorable! I should've taken a picture!" He nuzzled into your hair before pulling away, sure that the redness of your cheeks wasn't entirely from you being sick.
You covered your face with a whine, wishing you could hide in your bedsheets if it wasn't so warm. Todomatsu smiled fondly at you, opening his mouth to say something else.
"[Y/N]!!!"
There was a loud bang from the other room, startling you both heavily. Todomatsu shot up out of his seat, running over to the front door to find his brothers on the floor in a heap once again, the front door barely hanging on its hinges with a large crack in the wall from where it hit.
You stumbled after him, gasping at the wreckage of your home.
"What the fuck are you guys doing?!" Todomatsu screeched, seemingly more frustrated than you.
"We came to save [Y/N]! What else does it look like?" Osomatsu replied with a pointed look. All heads whipped towards you, taking in your appearance.
"[Y/N], are you hurt?" Choromatsu asked, trying to crawl towards you only for Todomatsu to kick his face.
"Did he actually give you poison and not medicine?" Ichimatsu asked next, earning himself a smack.
"Did Totty try to set you on fire?!" Jyushimatsu called, crying out after he get pushed back out the door.
"Did he-"
"Shut up, Shittymatsu!!" Todomatsu screamed, attempting to push everyone out. "Why do you all think I'm trying to kill her?!"
"Because that's just who you are!" They all responded.
You watched on in shock as they continued to argue violently in front of you. Releasing a heavy sigh, you massaged your forehead. A really bad headache was coming on...
"Guys!" You yelled suddenly, freezing everyone in place. "Todomatsu's looking after me! He hasn't done anything to hurt me and he never will, okay?"
"But-!"
"I think we all know that if he, or anyone, tried to do anything, I would kick your asses harder than Totoko can punch."
Your threat hung heavy in the air, making them gulp. You dragged your feet over to the pile of bodies in your doorway, removing Todomatsu from their clutches and looking down st the others on the floor.
"Thank you for being concerned, but there's no issue other than me being sick. I trust him to take care of me, so there's nothing to worry about, okay?"
You were met with silence. Another sigh, you tugged at your door, thankful that it was still somewhat intact. You began closing it up, offering a final goodbye to the Matsuno brothers before shutting it completely.
Todomatsu was tense behind you, eyes worriedly darting from you to the door.
"I-I'm really sorry about that.. You know how idiotic they can be!" He pointed at the door, hoping you wouldn't get mad at him. Instead, you turned to him with a tired hit gentle smile.
"I'm not mad, Totty," you weaves your hand into his, intertwining your fingers and tugging him back to your room. "Let's just forget about it. You're still gonna take care of me, right?"
"Todomatsu!" Osomatsu yelled from behind the door. "If you don't come back a virgin, then don't come back at all!"
You both rolled your eyes, Todomatsu's deathly aura increasing slightly. Way to ruin a sweet moment...

⤷ Day 3: Kirishima + blind date
Synopsis: in which you and Kirishima go on a very, very messy blind date, courtesy of your best friends
Word Count: 868
Fluffvember Masterlist
You were absolutely nervous as you went through your head for who Mina and Hagakure could’ve set you up with. Ochako and the other girls had promised to keep their mouths shut and it wasn’t until you stepped into the little restaurant with your sundress and neatly done hair that you were met with the red headed Kirishima, the one boy you’ve loved for, for oh so long.
He was dressed in an all white suit which you were sure Kaminari and Sero had chosen for him, and that thought was confirmed when you saw the two of them peeking their heads out from one of the nearby booths and Bakugo grumbling about something beside them.
You started to shake your head at their intrusion before you noticed Mina and the girls on the other side as well. You facepalmed and sighed as Kiri scratched the back of his head shyly while eyeing the ground.
“So… it looks like you’re my date… did you know about this?” You ask, letting out a nervous chuckle.
“Nah, Sero and Denki just told me to hurry up and get dressed in something nice and they’d take me somewhere,” he starts, eyeing the outline of your dress and taking you in, “anyway let’s grab a seat.”
Stuffing his hands into his pant pockets, he guided you to a booth far, far away from any ahem… unnecessary eyes.
You notice how clean and tidy Kirishima could look when he puts in the effort. You chuckle as he fiddles with his bowtie. So this was Red Riot Unbreakable at his prime huh?
“So what are we going to do about those prying eyes?” You ask Kirishima playfully, pointing a thumb towards their booth.
Kirishima is basically glaring at his friends and making a shooing motion but they just give him a thumbs up and stare with ignorant smiles.
“Errr, I would say we just ignore them and order some food now? What kinds of foods do you like?” Kirishima asks.
It’s not that you've never talked to the energetic boy before, it’s just strange to be in this setting with him, all romantic and… stuff. In fact, you wouldn’t have been so in love with him if he wasn’t there for you since your first year at U.A offering jokes and smiles like it came so naturally to him. And it helped that you were there since his middle school days when he still had black hair and big doubts. He’s come so far since then.
So you place a reassuring hand on his, nodding at him in hopes of calming his nerves and you can see him breathe out a sigh of relief.
“Thanks y/n. You’re not my best friend for nothing.”
You internally cringe at that word. That’s why it’s so hard for you to be here with him in this romantic restaurant: he was your best friend and they could never be more.
The waiter comes over and takes your order, leaving you with two glasses of water before thanking you for ordering.
You both reach for the same cup and Kiri ends up knocking it over onto your side and spilling it over your dress. You gasp as your dress starts to get drenched and Kirishima leaps out of his chair with the cloth napkins in hand to wipe it off.
The momentum causes him to knock off balance, falling right into you and knocking your chair backwards. You shut your eyes bracing for the impact as Kirishima wraps his hand around your head to protect it.
Now the two of you were tangled on the floor of the restaurant with water over your formal clothes and a baffled audience to top it off.
‘His face is so close,’ you think as the two of you laid still waiting for the other to make a move.
“Have I ever told you how pretty you are?” Kirishima asks in a breathy whisper, his eyes never leaving yours.
The room is quiet as they anticipate your next move. It’s as though it were a movie that they were watching and this was the climax.
Suddenly, you hear the shutter of a camera and turn to see Mina, Hagakure, and Kaminari flashing their cameras. Like they weren’t already obvious enough.
The silliness of it all made you and Kirishima start to laugh. Whether it was a successful date or not, it was definitely a memorable one. He helps you stand up and smooth out your dress.
As the two of you turned to scold your friends, you see them creeping out the entrance like the sneaky little fiends they are.
Well, there was nothing you could do now and Kirishima grabbed onto your hand and dropped off the money on the table with the other.
“Let’s get out of here. I’ll make you dinner at my place. I make a mean steak,” he says, pointing to his chest.
You snort at him and nod your head, letting him guide you into the night. There was something fitting about this being your first date with the love of your life, heels off, messy clothes, and tons of laughs as the Musutafu lights burned on.

Mr Wolf (Part Three)
Tumblr media
Derek x Reader
Requested by Anon
Part One
Part Two
“Have either of you seen (Y/N) recently?” Deaton asked as Scott and Stiles started to leave.
“No? Why?” Scott asked.
“Maybe Derek ate her, she does ruffle his… I want to say fur coat but that brings a weird image in my head and…”
“She’s been gone a few days. It’s not like her.” Deaton interrupted Stiles and sighed, glancing around as he finished tidying up.
“I thought you didn’t like her?” Stiles asked curiously.
“I think the way she plays with werewolves is… dangerous.”
“I dunno Derek seems into it.” Stiles said and spluttered when Scott gave him a look. “He gets all, you know… into it.” He said and shimmied his shoulders as he spoke. Scott started laughing, looking back at Deaton who was shaking his head and trying to look disapprovingly at Stiles though he couldn’t help chuckle.
“We’ll keep an eye out. But what is… what’s their deal?”
“Why’re they so obviously into each other?”
“(Y/N) is rare and she’s always had a rivalry with Derek. They both come from packs that… well.”
“We’re horrifically murdered by asshole hunters who magically got away with it? Dicks! The hunters not them.” Stiles finished for Deaton who agreed. He shooed the boys out of the vets and started to lock up.
“What do you think he meant? That (Y/N) is rare.” Scott asked Stiles as they headed to his Jeep.
“Maybe she… is a ghost…. Or a mutated werewolf that can rip Derek in half and he’s kinda scareoused by her!” Stiles offered, looking a little to into that idea for Scott’s comfort.
“Do you think we should ask Derek if we’ve seen her? Deaton did say she was born in a pack… maybe something happened.” Scott muttered. He didn’t get a response from Stiles but as they started to pass Derek’s penthouse Stiles pulled into the parking lot.
“It can’t hurt to tell him… right?”
The boys climbed up the stairs until they reached the door which was pulled open. Isaac looked at them with a smirk on his face as he leant in the doorway. The boys looked at each other before Stiles slowly asked.
“What’s up Isaac… where’s Derek?” Isaac rolled his eyes but led the way to where Derek was leaning on the small metal table at the edge of the room, reading. “Do you think he knows what chairs are?” Stiles whispered to Scott. The two of them snickered at his joke until Derek looked at them and they both fell silent.
“We were wondering if you'd seen (Y/N). Deaton hasn’t seen her for a while.” Scott muttered awkwardly.
“How long is a while? She’s like a wild cat. Turns up, gets what she wants and leaves.” Derek said as he closed his book and pushed himself up from the table.
“Deaton said a few days. He seemed worried about her.” Stiles answered.
“Maybe she finally left!” Isaac said in sarcastic happiness.
“I’ll let Deaton know if she turns up.” Derek said to the boys who both nodded.
****************
“Why’re we going through the woods?” Isaac called to Derek who had gone on ahead. He knew why they were there. Derek wouldn’t say he was looking for you but he’d heard Peter on the phone, asking if he’d seen you.
“Do you hear that?” Derek asked as he crouched down, inspecting a footprint in the soft dirt at the base of a tree.
“I don’t hear any…” Isaac trailed off as he heard faint grunting. Glancing at Derek who looked concerned he got ready to run. Derek bolted off and pushed through the trees. He paused when he saw you, trapped in a circle of mountain ash dust. Everynow and then you ran as fast as you could in the tight space, slamming against the magic wall and bouncing back into it.
“Oh great! Mr wolf.” You grumbled sarcastically.
“(Y/N) are you ok?”
“Peachy keen, Derek.” You snapped, slamming into the barrier again.
“Go get Deaton, tell him to call Chris and Stiles’ dad.” Derek muttered to Isaac who sighed and rolled his eyes.
“Oh, I so do not need our help! Yes, I'm stuck in mountain ash and yes, I stepped in a wolf trap, but I don’t need your help!” you gestured to your leg which was stuck in a loop on a long cord.
“So am I going or not? I can go either way on letting her out so....” Issac asked as he leant against a nearby tree. Derek glared at him so he shrugged and rolled off the tree and started leaving.
Derek crouched down as he rummaged through the dirt to find the end of the cord around your leg. Realising you’d have to give up eventually you dropped to the floor, crossing your legs the best you could while watching him.
“Bet it feels good to be an alpha.” Derek didn’t answer you as he continued to search. “Having all your little minions running around for you.”
“They’re not my minions.” He grumbled as he felt something and started pulling at it.
“Right they’re little kids that you tricked into turning. You know the little blond one is a pest. Cute though.”
“I didn’t trick them, I asked them.”
“Did you use Peter’s old, the bite is a gift line?” You giggled at him when he didn’t answer. He frowned up at you and you rolled your eyes.
“I can’t help you if you’re going to distract me. I could hurt you.” Derek complained. Just as he snatched at the cord you yanked yourself up to your feet and it pulled up out of the dirt.
“Oh that’s right, Mr. Wolf. Save the day. I’m some pathetic little kid!” You growled and if you’d been able to your face would have shifted.
“I didn’t mean…”
“Just don’t talk to me!” You snapped and crossed your arms.
“Will you two stop bickering. If someone is hunting werewolves they’ll spot the two of you immediately.” Deaton scolded as he came in through the woods and hurried up to the mountain ash buried. As soon as he broke it you held out your ankle for the cord to be cut.
“Thank you Deaton.” You huffed, glaring at Derek who rolled his eyes.
“You’re welcome.” he muttered sarcastically.
You turned and tackled Derek who went flying backwards. On instinct he tossed you away and you crashed through the trees. Flipping back over you threw yourself at him but Chris stepped between the two of you. “How about we finish this somewhere that isn’t full of hunters that want to kill you?”
“I didn’t think he was serious about her… being a rare werewolf.” Stiles whispered to Scott who had followed in the Sheriff's cruiser.
“She didn’t shift once.” Scott whispered back.
“(Y/N) let’s get you back. I'll get you checked up. We’ll get you some food.” Deaton offered.
“What was that about?” Stiles asked boldly when they left.
“I wasn’t exactly the nicest when we were kids.”
“Shocker.” Stiles muttered and raised his eyebrows when Derek glared at him.
“She couldn't shift and before she was sixteen the werewolf powers hadn’t kicked in. so you know. Little red. Running around with a bunch of werewolves.” Derek answered.
“Derek! Dick move!” Stiles gasped in mock offense and shook his head disapprovingly.
“That’s why you pander to her. I was worried you actually liked her.” Isaac pipped up from across the clearing. Stiles was the only one that noticed the way Derek’s face changed a little. Blushing and looking flustered. His tongue darted across his lips in the way Stiles noticed he did whenever he was trying to hide something. The group started heading back to the carpark as the sun started to set, all to aware that there were hunters after them somewhere in the woods.

So, maybe the last few days had been quite tense. Maybe you still had some very specific dreams about Geralt, even though you were still furious at him.
Maybe you thought about what he had said to you in that hallway over and over and over again.
Just maybe.
Maybe, the whole reason why you had insisted to practice drawing with Ciri was to catch a sight of him- to glare at him.
Nothing more.
“No, I give up.” Ciri’s voice pulled you out of your thoughts and you turned your head.
“What? No!” you took a look at her sketch, “That’s not bad at all.”
“Not good either,” she pointed out and you raised your brows,
“I should tell Fin to show you some sketches I made when I was your age,” you said, “He still keeps them, possibly to make fun of me.”
Ciri let out a laugh as you leaned your head back to the tree trunk, then shielded your eyes from the sun.
“Fin is coming.” Ciri said and you turned your head, then waved at your brother who approached you, then sat down next to you.
“Morning.”
“Morning,” you said, “Can you please tell Ciri of my drawings when I was her age?”
“They were good.”
“Fin!”
“What? They were.”
“Told you,” Ciri said and you shook your head.
“Don’t believe him,” you told her, “Does mother still need Cassie?”
Fin nodded, “Yeah. Tried to save her but mother shooed me away- this is still better than when I try to draw,” he motioned at Ciri’s parchment and she arched a brow.
“You’re just saying that,” she said, and looked up when you heard her name being called. Your heart started slamming against your chest and Ciri made a face.
“I’m not Roach, Geralt, say what you are saying here,” she called out and out of the corner of your eye, you could see Fin’s eyes narrow as he sat up straighter beside you, keeping his gaze on Geralt. You pursed your lips and made yourself busy with your own parchment as Geralt and Jaskier approached you.
“Come on,” Geralt told her and she put her parchment beside her, but then frowned for a moment and looked between you as the silence fell upon all of you.
“Oh no,” she said, “What did you do?”
“Ciri.”
“No I’m serious, what happened?” she turned to you, “What did he do?”
You looked up from your parchment and raised your brows, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Sir Geralt.”
“Your highness.”
Ciri groaned, “Fin?”
“If she doesn’t know, I don’t know either.”
“Geralt?”
“Hm?”
She rolled her eyes, “Never mind, Jaskier can tell me.”
“I won’t.” Jaskier said as Fin’s gaze wandered off to him before snapping back to Geralt. Ciri stood up,
“I’ll find you later,” she said, and walked past Geralt, making him pinch the bridge of his nose.
“Jaskier,”
“I’ll be right behind you, give me a moment,” he told him, and Geralt left without so much as sparing you a glare.
You tried to ignore the sudden pang of pain shooting through you, but managed to turn your glances to Jaskier.
“Yes?” you asked him, and he cleared his throat.
“Your majesty, I was wondering if I- if….” He licked his lips, “If your maid is spoken for.”
Fin tilted his head like a confused puppy, his eyes narrowing once again as you raised your brows.
“Cassandra?”
“Yes.”
“You’d like to know if Cassandra is spoken for.” You smiled slightly, “Well, you have quite the competition then. Everyone in the court wants her favor. Lords included.”
“I think I got this, sister.” Fin stopped you and leaned back, “What is your name, bard?”
“Jaskier.”
“Never mind, I’ll just call you bard. What are your intentions?”
Jaskier looked between you, “My intentions?”
“Regarding my beautiful, beloved Cassie. What are your intentions?”
“I just….” Jaskier swallowed thickly, “Uh- I’d just like to know her better.”
Fin tut tutted, “See,” he said, “You’re a good looking man. Isn’t he a good looking man, sister?”
“I’d like to know what fault I have committed to deserve being a part of this conversation.” You muttered dryly, and Fin motioned at Jaskier’s face.
“You know, bright blue eyes and sweet voice and-“ he cleared his throat, “That is if you are into that sort of thing. But Cassie is our precious jewel, and a bard with not so serious intentions….” He clicked his tongue, and you rolled your eyes.
“Fin, stop scaring him off,” you reprimanded him, “Cassie likes flowers. You might as well make use of them while introducing yourself.”
“Or don’t introduce yourself.”
“Fin.”
“That’s also an option.”
“Don’t listen to him,” you said, “Flowers are a nice touch.”
Jaskier nodded, “Thank you,” he smiled and rushed to catch up with Geralt and Ciri, and you turned to Fin.
“Speaking of love,” you said, “Are we having that conversation yet?”
He had the audacity to look clueless, “What conversation?”
“You know what conversation.”
Fin pressed his lips together and turned his gaze to the court, crossing his arms, “I’m fine.”
“No you’re not.”
“Y/N.”
“Fin.” You insisted, “You’re not fine.”
“Yeah, maybe I’m not fine because no one else but me in this damn court seems to know how it feels not to be able to touch the object of one’s desire,” he snapped and for a couple of seconds you gawked at him as what he had just said dawned on him.
“Oh I’m especially dumb today,” he told you, “Have you noticed that? I woke up dumb this morning.”
You scoffed a laugh, “It’s alright,” you said, “Who is it then?”
He clicked his tongue, and closed his eyes, leaning his head back.
“I’m afraid my heart will stay a desert, sister,” he mumbled and even if you wanted to ask again, you knew Fin way too well to do so.
He would tell you, eventually. When you least expected him to.
It had been like that since you were children.
“It won’t.” you heard yourself say, and he opened his eyes.
“How do you know?”
You shrugged slightly, “It would be terribly unfair if both of us were unhappy,” you murmured, “One victim is enough for a family. Fate could at least spare you.”
He squeezed your upper arm over your long sleeved dress and you smiled at him, then leaned back to the tree again, closing your eyes for a moment of peace.
                                                    ***
Thankfully, your mother was so distracted by the preparations of the guests’ room that she barely had any free time, so that crossed out the possibility of her asking you about embroideries or Fin, or anything really. By the time Cassie was allowed to come back to you, it was almost night but you had already lost the track of time due to being so engrossed in your sketching.
It was almost strange, drawing him. Normally, you needed a model in order to draw them correctly, to have someone or something to sit still in front of you, but Geralt had somehow burned himself into your memory that you thought you could draw him with your eyes closed.
No matter how much you despised what he had done.
“Your majesty?” Cassie knocked on the door and cracked it open, “Hello. I just wanted to say I’m back.”
“Oh come in, come in!” you told her as you put the sketch under the others so that she wouldn’t see, “Fin tried to save you twice, and I sent a maid. Mother just doesn’t seem to want to let you go.”
She let out a laugh, “It’s quite alright, it’s my job.”
“Your job isn’t to help my mother.”
“Your mother is the queen, your majesty. It’s everyone’s job in this castle.”
You shook your head slightly, “I suppose,” you mumbled, and Cassie walked to the big bowl on the table, spilled some liquid from the small vials and added water before the nice smell spread over the room.
“Your brother was reprimanded though.”
“By mother?”
“Yes,” she looked up at you and started tidying up the table, “I suppose the queen does not really like when the future king says “Leave my beloved be, I need her to discuss our wedding.”, who knew?”
You rubbed your eyes, “I’m going to smack Fin.”
“He has a good heart.” Cassie let out a laugh, “Can you imagine if he really was in love with me?”
“Oh trust me, you would want to divorce him if that ever happened. I pity his future wife.”
Cassie shook her head slightly, still smiling and your head shot up,
“I forgot to tell you,” you said, “You have another admirer.”
She raised her brows, “What?”
“Yes, Gera- um, the witcher’s bard. Jaskier.”
“Dark haired, blue eyes?”
“Yeah, that one,” you scoffed, “Poor thing, Fin intimidated him I think. He does look quite sweet though, wouldn’t you agree?”
Cassie curled her lips, shrugging and you walked to your mirror, grabbed your comb but both of you turned your heads when a blood-curdling scream reached into the chamber, along with the hurried footsteps and shouting.
You felt your blood freeze in your veins and Cassie held her breath, taking a step back while you put your comb down, trying to control your breathing. Both of you had been in the castle for way too long not to know what it meant.
If you heard a scream the middle of the night, it meant someone was either in danger, or was already killed.
You rushed to the door to swing it open as a guard came to block your way.
“Your highness-“
“Who is it?” you managed to ask through panic, “Fin-?”
“No, prince Fintan is alright, please go back to-“
“Who is it?!” you snapped at him and he licked his lips, exchanging glances with Cassie.
“Prince Tiernan.” The guard said, making your eyes widen,
“Did he-?”
“Someone has him, in the second hall. They’re trying to- princess!” he shouted after you as you bolted for the second hall, lifting your skirts a little to run faster. Your heart was beating in your ears, you could swear the fear had taken a hold of your body but you managed to reach the second hall, which was quite crowded with a lot of people staring at-
One corner.
The man was holding your baby brother who seemed to cry his eyes out, trying to reach for your mother who looked almost frozen, staring at them. The blade against Tiernan’s neck made the hair behind your neck rise but your eyes caught a sight of Fin, who had cornered the man and was standing still, maybe not even breathing as he held his sword against him, ready to attack the moment he made a move.
“Whoever paid you for this, we can pay more.” Your father’s voice was almost too calm, as Cassie reached you and covered her mouth. Fin’s sharp, fiery glare was unwavering as the man chuckled.
“You think this is about payment?” he asked, “You couldn’t afford my loyalty.”
“There’s no way out of this,” Fin growled, “Give me the baby.”
“Take one step and I will make his death slower.”
“Stay here,” you murmured through frozen lips and Cassie frowned,
“Your majesty-“
“Stay here.” You repeated as you made your way out of the hall, and looked around.
When you were children, one of your favorite games to play with Fin was hide and seek. By the time you were eight, you had already memorized every single hidden passage in the court, and second hall, just like all the other halls, had one.
You dragged your fingertips over the wall, then as soon as you found the spot, you pushed it and walked into the secret passage. The smell of dust almost made you gag, but you covered your mouth with your arm and kept walking until you reached the entrance, and slowly, very slowly pushed it so as not to make a noise. Fin’s eyes found you over the man’s shoulder before they snapped back to him.
“Who’s making you do this?” he asked to get his attention, and the man chuckled.
“I volunteered,” he spat, “This is an honor.”
“It’s an honor to harm a child?” Fin asked him as you swallowed thickly, barely hearing them over the sound of your own heartbeat. You flexed your fingers, taking a step closer and raised your hand, holding your breath.
“When this is over, Prince Fintan-“ the man said, “All of you will be dead.”
You could feel the fury roaring through you at the threat, and that somehow made the fear go away for a moment, making everything clearer in your head.
Then you touched his neck.
It was almost too easy, really. It barely took a second until his breath was caught in his throat, his body going limp and Fin threw his sword aside to catch Tiernan before he fell to the ground with the man. Tiernan let out a bawl, holding onto Fin as tight as he could before Fin pressed a kiss on his head, then handed him to your mother and rushed to you.
“Are you alright?”
You kept your gaze on the man lying on the ground, his eyes open but almost blank before you managed to nod.
“Yes.” You murmured, “I am. Are you?”
Fin raised his hand to squeeze your arm, but stopped when he saw that he had no gloves.
“It’s alright,” your voice was almost numb like the rest of you before you raised your glances to Fin, who nodded at you and took a deep breath.
And right in front of you, he turned into a king.
“Tell the guards to lock the gates,” he ordered, and grabbed his sword from the guard who brought it, “Everyone will return to their chambers.”
“Fin-“
“I got this, father,” he said, “Mother, you stay with Tiernan, there will be at least five guards- you, by the hall, grab four men and escort them.”
“Yes my prince.”
“Cassie, you and my sister go back to her chambers, send someone to check on Ciri as well.”
“Of course your highness.”
“Commander Bradan, I want every room searched, any suspicious letter will be brought to me.”
“Yes my prince.”
“Commander Marcel, you and your men, follow me.” Fin turned around and walked out of the hall, cutting through the crowd while you tried your hardest not to look at the men, the bile burning your throat.
Just like that.
Easy as that.
Neither your mother nor your father made any attempt of talking with you. You all just stood there for a moment as the whispers circled you, reminding you that there were people watching.
No emotions, no weakness.
Even if you felt like you could faint, you took a deep breath, threw your shoulders back and followed your mother and father out of the hall, all of you going in different directions without saying anything to each other as soon as you were out.
Deep breaths.
In and out.
Keep walking.
                                                             ***
You had sent Cassie to her room, insisting that you needed some time after the events of the night, and that you would eventually go to sleep.
You knew you wouldn’t be able to.
You had almost forgotten how easy it was for you to kill somebody. While it was true that you had made sure you wouldn’t touch anyone, always kept your distance and kept your gloves on whenever you were outside, the feeling itself had grown cold, like a distant memory, until tonight.
The slight creak coming from the window made you turn your head and you swung your legs over the bed to stand up, frowning.
Another attempt?
You could feel the nervousness filling your system once more and you looked around the room, then grabbed the huge golden candelabra, and walked to the window to stand right beside it, holding the candelabra over your head. You held your breath, and as soon as the figure pushed the window open and jumped into the room you slammed it over their stomach, the impact making you trip as he grunted and grabbed the candelabra to snatch it from your hands-
“Geralt?!” you exclaimed, instantly letting go of the candelabra and covering your mouth, “Oh Gods, are you alright?!”
He nodded, rubbing at the spot and shot you a strange look.
“What are you doing?”
“What are you doing?!” you asked back, “Why are you climbing through my window?”
“They locked the whole castle down while I was in the woods. You can kill people by touch and candelabra is your weapon of choice?” he asked you, making your heart skip a beat as what had happened before flashed through your mind, while Geralt tilted his head.
“Were you crying?”
You sniffled and rubbed at your eyes before walking away from him to sit down on your bed.
“I could vouch for you, you should’ve just sent a guard.”
“Why were you crying?”
“Ciri is fine.”
“Why were you crying?”
“So you have no reason to worry, we made sure of that-“
“Princess,” he cut you off, obviously not in the mood for these games, “Why were you crying?”
You tried to swallow the lump in your throat and rubbed your temples,
“Because,” you murmured, “They should’ve never let me out of that damn tower. I should’ve stayed there, no matter how much Fin and I begged father.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I killed someone,” you blurted out, “Tonight. He was going to hurt Tiernan, so I touched him and I killed him.”
“Princess-“
“I don’t feel bad about it.” You interrupted him, “At all. That’s why they should’ve left me there to rot, a good person feels bad about taking somebody’s life.”
“You stopped a grown man trying to hurt a baby.”
“By killing him.”
“Actions have consequences, sounds like he deserved it.”
“What about the next one?”
He frowned, “The next one?”
“Who’s to say it will be just him?” you asked him, “Who’s to say it won’t be someone that I don’t want to hurt, someone that I care about? What if it’s Fin, or Cassie, or-“ you wiped your eyes, sniffling, “Or you.”
A silence fell upon the room and you let out a bitter chuckle, looking up at him.
“Can you promise that I won’t hurt you?”
He stared at you for a couple of seconds, as if trying to see whether you were lying to him or not, but in the end he took a step towards you, then crouched down so that you could be eye to eye while you sat still on the bed.
“I can promise that I will do whatever it takes to make sure you don’t cry again,” his voice was low, and you blinked back tears, nodding slowly before wiping your eyes.
“Geralt if anyone sees you here you will be in trouble.”
He smiled slightly, “Right. Staring at each other, how dare we?”
A giggle you couldn’t stop left your lips and you bit down on your lip, stealing a look at his golden eyes that seemed to hold a soft light contrary to the usual.
“I’m glad you’re back safe,” you said as you sniffled and he raised his brows.
“Are you?”
“Of course I am.”
His eyes searched yours, then he cleared his throat,
“Princess, if I upset you,” he said “With my actions lately, it wasn’t….my intention.”
You licked your lips, suddenly feeling nervous as your stomach made a flip.
“I was merely under the impression that-“ you started, but then looked up when both of you heard the loud ring of the city bell.
Once, twice, three times-
Four. It rang four times.
“What does that mean?” Geralt asked and you swallowed thickly, trying your hardest not to focus on the last time you had heard it.
“Confinement.” You managed to say, “Of the city. No one goes in, no one goes out.”
He cussed under his breath and stood up, “I should-“
“Find Ciri. She’s in her chambers with two guards by her door, I made sure of that.” You stood up as well, “Go.”
He nodded before rushing out of your chambers and you walked to the window, then leaned your elbows on the sill and closed your eyes, the bell still ringing in your ears.
