Him Grumpy You Sunshine

You were walking slowly to school until you saw a familiar silhouette of a guy with headphones on. Excited, you run and hug him from behind.

- Hello~! - you chirped with a smile. He looked at you with an annoyance.

- If you’re gonna keep doing this, one day I might accidentally hit you, don’t sneak up on people.

But he knew that no one else in this universe would even try that. Most people have some self - preservation, but you were like a baby chicken who doesn’t sense any danger.

- No, you wouldn’t - you smiled brighter. - So do you have plans after school? Maybe we should go to this new arcade…

You were right, he wouldn’t. And he also wouldn’t want to admit how much he enjoyed you around, even if he couldn’t properly put it into words. No matter how many times he wanted to put distance between you two, you just came back like a wrecking ball. At first he thought he was annoyed, but to be honest, he was just out of his comfort zone. He wasn’t used to someone clinging to him even after he was mean or cold.

- Whoa, did you just smile? - He heard your loud voice getting through to him and snapping him out of his thoughts. He turned his head away from you.

- You are seeing things. Get your eyes checked.

- What are you writing? - You heard his voice right next to your ear. He had a really annoying habit of showing up out of thin air and ignoring your private space.

- Homework.

- Whoa, already? Wasn’t it just assigned? You really are a hard worker, Sunshine! - And this stupid nickname again. It was a running joke, as it was quite obvious who was the sunshine between two of you.

Since the beginning of the school year you barely had any occasion to spend some time in silence, because he came along. Always finding you in lunch time and inviting himself over. Asking you to borrow him pens, notebooks, hair ties and hair pins (why? What for?), and even when you told him to just get things himself, he still bothers you on daily basis. At this point you just accepted, that at one point or another of the day, you’ll hear his voice next to your ear, or even worse, he just throw his arm on you and call you “Sunshine”. At the beginning you took into consideration that he was trying to bully you, because of the obvious sarcasm, but the longer you two spend time together, it looks like he was genuine. To be fair, you’d never met a person radiating brighter than a summer sun, but now he is here, showering you with his light. Even worse, it’s not… awful.

- You should do that too, you know. I won’t borrow you mine last minute - you said, not taking eyes of your notes.

- That’s so mean - he pouted. You knew he wasn’t really hurt, but it kind of made you feel uneasy. You opened your bag and hold up juice from the vending machine in front of him.

- Here. I accidentally pressed a wrong button and got it. You can take it. - You didn’t look at him at all, hoping he won’t see a tiny blush on your face.

- Oh you accidentally got my favourite? What a coincidence~ - You could hear just by the tone of his voice what a huge grin showed up on his face.

- If you don’t want it, I’ll take it. - You put the juice box on the table next to your notebook.

- No! It’s mine now! - In split second it was gone. You came back to the last sentence you’ve been writing. - You really like me, don’t you?

- Just drink your damn juice.

he hates himself for not being able to talk. obviously, he can speak, but not in the way he wants—not in the way where he can outwardly illustrate in words how much he adores your smile, your laugh, your kindness, your everything. he tells you this, and you’re always reassuring him that its okay; you understand he isn’t the best at these things given his troubled past. but what you don’t tell him is that he doesn’t need to tell you his feelings in words because its written plainly in his actions. it’s written in the way his eyes crinkle at jokes only when you’re laughing, and the way he watches intently at your every move and reacts if your body is too close to the corner of the table or stairs. in the way his mouth opens ever so slightly when you wear that dress he loves so much and the tracing of your name on your back when he’s anxious. thus, despite his doubtful mind, you know he loves you. nonetheless, every so often you two will lay in bed, waist cradled between his arms, eyes shut in false slumber as you listen to his rambling. “i love you. a lot. i’m sorry i don’t say it enough. do i deserve you? sometimes i feel selfish for keeping your perfection to myself. someday i’ll get over myself and find out how to tell you how much i love your eyes, your face when you’re excited over the things you like, and the way you’re so understanding over everything. i’ll love you forever. i hope that’s obvious.” the confession is so quiet, you can’t be sure if it’s real, but it’s enough for a smile to ghost your lips as you turn around to press a chaste kiss to his lips. “i love you too.” “you were awake?!”

The two of you had been rivals since they first crossed paths in grade school. Both were known as child prodigies, with an unmatched intelligence and a thirst for knowledge. Note: I don't normally do notes for these, but i did want to say that this one is more melancholic than angsty. I got the idea for this piece ages ago but could never quite figure out how to word it, and I think this is as close as I can get while keeping it general.

Sometimes you want to go back. They can see it too.

They see it in the vague movements they catch you making when they come over. The ones you act out unconsciously when the itch strikes. It’s still muscle memory, even if your strength and flexibility aren’t nearly what they were.

“Do you miss it?” They ask one day.

You’re both in the kitchen making dinner, and you’re mocking out an old practice exercise. You don’t stop what you’re doing when you look up at them, legs still moving about.

“Sometimes… some of it.”

“Why did you stop?”

Whatever the reason you left, be it injury or environment, it’s obvious to them how much you still miss it. They can see how bad it kills you inside, how even though it's been a few years the wounds haven’t healed, but they can also see how you aren’t over it. There’s something about it you miss, that-

“I’ve thought about going back, just on my own terms, but I don't know… something about it feels wrong.”

“You don’t have to go back to any kind of unit,” they offer, “we can just do it together.”

For the first time during your conversation, you pause. A small smile pulls at your lips.

“That sounds fun.”

Need someone to write a fanfic or something like bllk/haikyuu/knb/tbh any sport anime x a reader who is lazy, truly don’t give af if there partner had to travel for 2 years and use their money and also a scammer (HELP I don’t know if that make sense)

Scenario:

They came back from overseas into y’all shared apartment. You haven’t text or call them. They notice the withdraw from their bank account. You come out the room and the first thing you said.

“Aren’t you supposed to come back in like 2 months?”

With bubbly characters like Kise, Oikawa, are the type to give the reader a handful of complaints.

“Why haven’t you answer my calls? I tagged you in my post! Don’t you love me!?”

And reader like “umm…yes?”

Or with playboy characters like Oliver or etc, the type to get nervous knowing that recently a photo was leaked of him kissing a model/actress. He would try to apologize but the reader genuinely don’t care as long as she getting money to buy roblux or games.

“Yes, I saw but you’re not the only rich man who’s in interest in me, so I recommend you to step up your game.” (This kind of sound corny, idk…)
