(Jason looking up at the whole Batfamily)
Jason: In my defense-
Duke: How the fuck did you start a cult!?
Tim: For the second time!
Duke: Yeah, for the- wait he what?
Steph: We don't talk about the first time.
Duke: Why not?
Dick: Somehow the cult ended up sacrificing bats, and they were all dressed like us.
Cass: Made all uncomfy.
Jason: It just happened-
Damian: Honestly, Todd-
Babs: Boys.
(silence)
Bruce: How'd it happen?
Jason:
Jason: Okay, so, it all started when Roy left me unattended with Lian-

so I was just scrolling throught your blog and I saw the fanfic of Jason in the room with the gas AND I NEED MORE. Like I know how Bruce reacted cause of the tags but I would like to know how Roy and Lian reacted to it if possible.
Sorry it took so long to reply, I was like oh I'll write a little thing for you from Roy's pov and then it ended up being like 4,500 words, so like, it may not be quick, but it is plentiful and should sustain your need lol
(Original post OP is talking about)
Tick. Tock.
Drip.
Tick. Tock.
Drip.
Even when the room is silent, there is so much noise. My brain feels clouded by the ticking of that stupid clock on the wall, the dripping of the IV. I can't lose Jay. I can't even stand to look at Jay in this condition.
I grab Jay's hand, intertwining our fingers, rubbing my thumb along his.
Please wake up. I need you. Please.
I bring our hands towards my lips and kiss his hand. I lower our hands and close my eyes.
Tick. Tock.
Drip.
I hear hurried footsteps pattering across tile. Then the door barges open. I open my eyes to find Bruce Wayne standing there, mouth ajar, staring at Jason on the bed.
Dick comes up behind him a few moments after. We make eye contact and he weak heartedly smiles. It's a little awkward, we kinda drifted apart a while ago, and we haven't really addressed the elephant in the room, which is me getting- um- close to his younger brother since after we drifted apart.
Bruce walks to the other side of Jason and sits in a chair, Dick walking to a chair right next to Bruce. Dick and I are right across from one another now, so I stare at Jay's hand again, entangled with my own.
Bruce is talking, worked up about something, but I don't listen to his words. I need to pick up Lian soon. She'll be surprised it's me picking her up. Usually Jay does that. Should I bring her here? No, I don't want to traumatize her. She shouldn't have to see Jay like this. Seeing him like this is the kinda thing that would stick with a child. She can just see him when he comes home- when he wakes up-
"Roy, are you listening?" Bruce says.
"I'm sorry, what?" My eyes dart up to the two of them, Bruce staring at me.
"I asked about arrangements after." Bruce says.
"After?" My brows come together and my nose scrunches. I look to Dick for help.
"After he wakes up," Dick clarifies for me.
"Oh." I say. I make eye contact with Bruce again. He takes it as a sign to keep talking.
"I just think it would be... best to have him stay at the manor during his recovery, a close watch might be best, besides, we can't have his medicine going... Missing."
"Bruce!" Dick turns to him. He meant he doesn't want me to steal any of his medicine. It's been years and yet, when all he knows is Green Arrow who last saw me when I was at my rock bottom, I suppose he thinks I will be too tempted, that it won't matter what kind of drugs, as long as it's drugs. That it won't matter that I've been clean for years. That it won't matter that I get scared just taking cough medicine or aspirin.
"Look, I don't mean any disrespect. I just want Jason to get better-"
"Me too." I cut in.
"So are we agreed then, the manor is the best thing for him."
"I- uh- I-" I let out a deep sigh, "Sure." I squeeze Jay's hand even harder. I dont feel like fighting with Bruce.
I look over at the clock. 45 minutes til she's done with school. How far away is it from Wayne Manor- I'm not usually here. I should probably leave early anyway to make sure I get there with time to spare, plus then I can get out of this unbearable talk with Bruce, no offense Jay.
"I need to pick up Lian," I say, standing up. Dick perks up.
"Oh, can I go with. I haven't seen Lian in forever, and," he looks over at Jay, "It's not like I'm doing much here."
"Oh- uh- sure." I say. Dick stands up.
I can't look at Jason, so I give his hand a squeeze, hoping it's enough; hoping even in his state, he understands.
I walk the halls with Dick at my side. The silence between us is deafening. I don't know how we are going to make it a whole car ride like this.
I get into the car, and then I unlock the doors, pulling out my phone for a gps. Dick opens the door, hopping in.
The address- what is the address of Lian's school. Can I just type in the name? That would make sense, it is a phone-
"I'm sorry about what Bruce said. He didn't mean it." I close my eyes and take a deep breath for a moment, then I go back to my phone, typing in Lian's school.
20 minutes away. I will have to spend- I look at the time. 19 minutes to in the car with Dick once we get there. Should I suggest we do something else in the mean time? No I really just want to see my daughter.
I start the car, getting out of Bruce's driveway, which should take up like 15 of the 20 minute drive, like who needs this big of a driveway.
At the end of his driveway, I offhandedly say, "You can put on any music you want." At least then it will fill the silence and we won't have to talk. But Dick makes no movement to put on music.
"So, what have the others been up to lately? Garth, Wally, and Diana," I say.
"Well, Garth is now the Tempest I think. He- um- I think he tried to go back to his tribe- Ideali- Idolic-"
"Idyllist, right?"
"yeah, that sounds right, but they um…"
"yeah, but also that's just the stupidest thing ever, purple eyes doesn't signify shit."
"right! Like I feel so bad for him. Imagine casting out your kid cause you don't like their eye color."
The conversation picks up from there, and it's actually an enjoyable car ride to the school.
"We still have like 15 minutes before I should go up there." I will give myself 4 minutes so I can make sure I'm out before she is.
"Oh?" Dick's words have more weight, a 'You left really early, something I have never known you to do, ya wanna talk about it'-ness to them.
"I- I can't stay there for long. It's so hard to look at him like this, I-"
"Yeah, like he's my brother, so I can imagine how hard it is for you, you guys are close friends." Wait- does... Does Dick not know me and Jay are married? Oh god, I don't think we told him or Bruce cause then we would have to tell them we didn't invite them to the wedding. I mean, we didn't invite Ollie either, but still- Dick has been my friend since the teen titans, and he's Jay's brother, but I don't wanna be the one to tell him. He's a detective, I'm sure he'll figure it out. Oh shit, he's still talking.
"- and I feel like you are probably one of the people who know Jason best, so this is probably hitting you harder than a lot of us." Dick finishes his sentence.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you."
"Tell me?"
"When Jay knocked on my door that day, I knew you and Bruce were falling apart, but he asked me not to tell you guys, and I didn't want him to run, so I took him in and I got clean and we worked on his anger, and we grew closer, and I don't know, I probably should have told you but I wanted him to tell you when he was ready, I didn't want to take that from him."
"I was not mad at you, if anything, I'm just glad he was safe and with someone I trust the whole time. And I get it, part of me knows it would not have gone so well if he came to Bruce right away."
"It was so hard to keep it from you though, every time we hung out, it was on the tip of my tongue, it was, like, about to burst out of me, I wanted to tell you so much."
"And that's why we stopped hanging out as much after."
"Yeah." My eyes dart down. I'm still kinda ashamed of myself, that I wasn't stronger. But then again, it felt like I was constantly lying to him, so maybe it was better I cut him off.
"I-" he glances over at the clock, "Oh, we should probably head up there." 5 minutes until she's done. 5 minutes until she asks about Jay. 5 minutes until I have to tell her everything.
"Yeah, let's go up." We get out of my car and walk up by the other parents who are waiting for their kids. I say hi to a few of the other parents, we have short conversations, a few ask about Jay, saying they thought he would be here. I tell them he got hurt so I came today.
When the bell rings, kids start filing out. A little girl with black hair comes out, and upon seeing me, says "Daddy? Daddy!" Before running up to me. I pick Lian up, hugging her. Then she leans back, swiveling her head around, searching.
"Where's Papa?" That's what she calls Jay.
"Papa?" Dick asks from behind me. Lian looks at him, confused who he is.
"Oh, Lian, this is Papa's brother, Dick." I say.
"You told me I'm not allowed to say that."
"No, Lian, it's not a bad word, it's his name." She looks Dick in the eyes.
"Your parents must not like you." I barely keep myself from laughing. I'm gonna have to tell Jay about this later.
"How about we go to the car." I wave at a few parents before turning around and walking towards the car, hoping Dick is following behind.
"Are we going to see Papa?"
"No, Papa is sick, so he's gonna be gone a few days."
"I thought when you are sick, you stay at home, not go out."
"Sometimes, but if it is really bad, you gotta go." I get to the car and unlock the doors. As Dick is getting in the passenger seat, I open the backseat door and set Lian in her carseat.
I get in the driver's seat and turn on the car, pulling out of the school and start on our short drive home.
"But guess who's coming over tonight?"
"Who?"
"Aunt Kori!" Dick's head turns so fast I'm afraid he'll break his neck. I don't know if he's seen her since the two of them broke up but I don't think he knew Jay and I were really close to her.
"Yay! When is she coming over, is she staying for dinner? Can I show her my toys?"
"I'm sure she would love to see your toys, and I don't know when she is getting here."
When I texted her that Jay got hurt, she said she will be over here by tonight. I told her he is not at our apartment, that he's in Wayne Manor's medical unit. She said she can wait for him here, and that 'besides, someone should entertain Lian so I can worry about Jay and I can go to work.'
Jay usually is at home when I am at work, so Kori figured someone should be here even when he's not. This is no where near the first time she's slept on the couch, she does it so often, she doesn't even have to ask anymore. We talked about getting a three room apartment so she can have her own room, but we are still looking for one that wouldn't move school districts so Lian wouldn't have to switch schools.
We get home, going to our floor, and Dick is following at our heels. When I get to the apartment, I don't need to unlock it, which means Kori is already here.
I walk in, and I can see she already set up on the couch, right next to our marriage license. We had to forge the marriage certificate, but now he is Jason Harper. A pro of being married is that he can take my last name when 'Jason Todd' is dead, then we don't have to worry about finding a whole new identity for him. We are simply known as the Harpers to people around here, a normal family. Lian looks like Jay too, so much so that most people assume she was his kid, not mine.
As soon as Lian sees Kori, she runs at her, nearly leaping at her and talking a mile a minute. Dick follows, merely taking a step inside the apartment so I can shut the door, not moving past that, just staring at Kori.
Kori looks up at us, a moment of confusion crossing her face when she sees Dick, but it goes away just as fast as she looks back at Lian, still talking.
Call me a coward if you will, but I went to the kitchen so I didn't have to be there for their awkward reunion. I started dinner- usually Jay does this- so I grab something simple, pasta, it's hard to mess up noodles. I fill the pot with water and put it on the stove. Kori comes in a few minutes later and takes a seat at the table near me.
"So..." She starts. I know she wants me to talk, she is waiting. Whenever she wants to talk about something, she says 'so...' then refuses to talk until I talk about what she wants to talk about. If I try to avoid it, she just stays quiet and raises an eyebrow, daring me to keep trying to change the subject.
"Look, I'm fine, it's Jay we need to be worrying about."
"Roy, you are cooking dinner at 3:30pm so you can do something that makes you feel productive. A dinner that takes less than 20 minutes to make."
"Well you came in here to avoid talking to your ex."
"And we will be talking about that later, but you cannot change the subject."
"What do you want to hear? That I couldn't even look at him today? That I am spiraling thinking about what could happen if he died?"
"Is that what you want to talk about?"
"I don't know."
There is a moment of silence.
"Jason isn't coming home when he wakes up."
"What?"
"Bruce said he wants Jay to be at the manor when he's recovering."
"Like hell, Jason won't let that happen."
"He- he brought up-" I cut myself off and her eyes narrow. I shouldn't have said that.
"He brought up what?" She looks on the verge of rage.
"It's not that big of a deal, he just used you know what as a low blow to justify keeping Jay at the manor."
"It better not be what I think it is."
"Forget I said anything."
"How am I supposed to forget something like this?"
"If it makes you feel any better, Dick stood up for me." Stood up for is a bit of a stretch, but still.
"Oh. He did?" The water starts trying to boil over, so I turn off the stove. Dinner before 4pm probably isn't the best idea anyway.
"Do you want to talk about being around your ex now?" She's quiet, "Look, Jay isn't here right now and I won't judge you if you say you still have feelings for him." She sits there for a moment longer, then she just smirks and stands up.
"Let's go play a game with Lian." We walk out of the kitchen and by the couch where Dick and Lian are sitting. She is currently showing him her toys, probably Kori's doing, but he is sitting there listening intensely like this is the most fascinating thing on the planet, occasionally asking her questions.
"Hey Lian, why don't you go get your board game, we can play it." They look up at us, then Lian nods before jumping up and running to her room.
"Uh, hey Roy, where is the bathroom?" Dick asks, standing up as well from the criss-cross-applesauce position he was in.
"Oh, it's down the hall, second door on the right." There are 4 doors, the first door on the right is a closet, the second is obviously the bathroom, the first door on the left is Lian's room, then the second door on the left is Jay's and my room.
Lian came back and we started setting up. Then Dick came back, looking like he had something he wanted to ask, but he didnt. He had that look throughout the entire game and through dinner.
"Ok Lian, I gotta go take Dick back, I expect you to have taken your bath by the time I get back. Kori can get your water ready and help you if you need it." She gives a little soldier salute before shoving a few more noodles into her face.
Dick follows me out to the car. Getting in the passenger seat.
"I assume the manor?"
"Yeah, my car is there." He pauses. "You know, I think this is the first time I've been to your apartment since before Jay moved in." Oh. I think it has.
"Oh, well, you're welcome any time." I say, starting the car. We sit in silence for a bit as I drive through neighborhoods and out onto the main roads.
"Are you and Jason together- like romantically?" He blurts out. My body tenses and my hands grip the steering wheel tighter.
"I was meaning to tell you- it just never came up." I say.
"How long?"
"Uh, a bit after Lian came to live with us."
"It's been years? You two are married. He took your last name. You live together and sleep in the same bed. You are friends with parents at school. Lian calls Jason 'Papa'. None of this was worth mentioning? He's my brother. You are one of my best friends. I wasn't even invited to the wedding."
"We got married before you knew he was alive, so we couldn't very well invite you. We would have though. You don't think I miss hanging out with you too. You don't think I didn't want to text you all the time telling you 'hey, I'm married to the love of my life and you and I are brother-in-laws now. Lian is now your niece. Ollie and Bruce are in-laws now and don't even know it." As upset as he is, he chuckles at that last part.
"They are going to be so mad when they find out."
"Oh please, they'll just use it as an excuse to invite one another to parties and such just to upstage one another." I say. Ollie and Bruce have been rivaling each other since before Dick and I were on the Teen Titans together.
"That would be pandemonium."
We sit in silence as I pull up to the gates of the manor. I drive up to the doors, and before Dick gets out, I stop him.
"Please don't tell Bruce." His eyes search mine. "Jay and I haven't talked about it yet and I don't want to tell Bruce without Jay's permission." He nods.
"I'll text you with updates on how he is doing."
"Thanks. And Dick-" he turns to face me.
"Yeah?" he asks.
"Sorry I broke the code."
"Code?"
"The friend code, don't date your friends' siblings." I say. He laughs.
"I'll forgive you this time, just feel lucky that you don't have any siblings I could date to make us even. After all, Connor is asexual and you don't have any other siblings."
"I see Kori like a sister." I blurt out. Dick went red, avoiding eye contact.
"Goodnight Roy."
"Goodnight Dick."
The next few days went by with little news. Dick would text me but not much happened. He told me Bruce would not leave Jason's side, even after we were told he'd be ok, that he just has to wake up and he will be okay.
I would go to work, Kori would stay at the apartment and pick up Lian from school. At nights, we would eat dinner, Lian would take a bath, and I would tuck her in. I can tell she misses Jay, she keeps asking how much longer until he comes home.
I also miss him. After I tuck her in, I go to the kitchen. I avoid going to my room for as long as possible, I don't want to sleep in our bed knowing he isn't there, that he's in that hospital bed in the medbay. Kori comes in and talks to me, knowing why I don't want to go to bed.
On the third day like this, after I tuck Lian in, I go to my phone and I see a text from Dick. He woke up. HE WOKE UP. I tell Kori, she takes the phone, asking more questions- how is he? What other injuries is he facing? Is his head foggy or is he doing well? Questions I can't bother to ask because all I can think about is that he's awake!
Kori takes a phone call, probably with Dick. I just sit down, still grinning ear to ear. I can't wait to see him. I'll take the day off work, I can take Lian over to him tomorrow. Hell, I can keep her home from school and if he's feeling up for it, we can go do something.
I go to our room and tidy a few things up. I don't want him coming home to a messy apartment in a few days. I finish making sure things are nicely put and I walk out to find Kori sitting on the couch.
"Dick said he's in good condition, they want to keep him a few more days, but we can visit tomorrow. He also sent a picture." She shoves the phone towards me.
The picture is of Jason sitting in his bed, a tray of food in front of him as he gives a thumbs up to the camera.
I smile at the photo.
"Wanna send him one back?" She says. I sit down and we make silly faces at the camera before sending it.
"Ok, now that you know he is awake and safe, you should go to bed so you are wide awake tomorrow when you see him."
"I know you just want me out of your hair... But I will comply so I can be banging on their door, Lian in tow, at 7am to get to him." I walk back to my room. I am so antsy that I sit in bed for a while longer, looking out the window that leads to the fire escape. It's the same fire escape that Jason uses when he goes out as Red Hood, and I use when I go out as Red Arrow. It's the same one he used that day last week, before-
I hear the door open.
"They're gonna be mad." Kori's muffled voice.
"I don't care." Another familiar voice I recognize all too well. I stand up, walking to the door.
"Where Roy?"
"He's sleeping." I'm walking down the hall.
"Should I go wake him up?" I turn the corner and I see him, standing in front of Kori, eating food he probably picked off of her plate.
We see each other, and I let out a shaky breath. He just smiles his little crooked grin at me.
"Jason," I say before we collide, grabbing onto one another like if we let go, the other will disappear. He hasn't showered in days and he needs to shave, but I don't care, I bury my face into his shoulder and he clings to me.
"I missed you so much." I mumble into his jacket.
"Not as much as I missed you." He lets out a breath, one that sounds like it's been stuck in him for a while, like this is the first moment he's had to just pause and appreciate that he's here.
I let out an amazed laugh, "What are you doing here, I thought you were gonna stay at the manor a few more days."
"I wanted to see you." He says, looking at me like he still can't believe I'm really here, probably how I'm looking at him now. "Both of you." He's eyes go from lingering on me over to Kori, going back and forth as we both stare at him like he was just raised from the dead. Again.
"You know, I don't care how mad Bruce will be. I'm just glad to see you again."
"Papa?" A little voice squeaks up behind Jason. Lian comes out of her room, rubbing her eyes. Jason turns around and when she sees it's him, comes running over. He squats down to pick her up and then spins her around. Settling her on his hip as she has both arms hanging around his neck.
He turns back to Kori and me, his eyes resting on me. He mouths the words 'I love you' and I mouth the words back. Kori interjects.
"Ok, as much as I hate to break up this family reunion, it is like 2am. I'll go put down Lian again so you two can talk." She gets up and walks over to Jay and Lian. Lian shakes her head and clings harder to Jay.
"Nuh-uh. I wanna stay with Papa."
"Don't worry, I'll be here tomorrow. We can hang out all day, but you gotta go to bed so you aren't falling asleep while we hang out." She bites her lip, thinking it over. She looks at me, and I give her that parental look of 'You know what you are supposed to do'.
"Fine, but you have to hang out with me all day tomorrow." He kisses the top of her head and then passes her off to Kori.
"I promise." Kori leads her over to me to give her a kiss before bringing her to her room to put her back down.
Kori will probably want to go to sleep when she gets out. I tilt my head to gesture that we should go to the kitchen. He nods.
I sit down at the table and he fiddles with the radio on the counter, playing some song softly in the background. Jay loves to play music if he's in here, so I let him.
He sits down next to me, and I take his hand in mine, entangling our fingers. I bring it up to my lips and kiss his hand, looking him in the eyes. We sit there enjoying the moment for a while. A few songs later, he stands up.
"I love this song." He pulls me up to my feet before pulling me close to him. He grabs my waist and leans his head on my shoulder, swaying. We stay like that after the song is over, softly talking, long after Kori turned out the lights, the only lights left being the lights of the city out the window.
Eventually, at like 4am or so, we went to our room, and we rolled into bed, clinging onto one another as we talked to each other about everything and nothing until we drifted to sleep.

So, I have no idea if any ones already talked about this, but I've always subconsciously thought that Roy in his and Jason's team up was a clone, and no one caught it because "no way could that happen again".
Cause, last I checked there are like, three clones of Roy(speaking as someone that the most I know about Roy is the Young Justice cartoon and peoples rants I find

I'm on a random Roy Harper and John Constantine kick rn so I need literally anything with them and black batsis😭🙏🏽❤️
i need to write more for roy and black!batsis. they have my heart. there are some brief allusions to roy's background as an addict
@blckbarbiedoll let me know what you think!!
Tumblr media
"Roy, you hate these things," Dick spoke while standing next to his best friend. Dick's eyes scanned the crowd of older people at the annual Wayne Holiday Gala. He was on older brother duty and making sure the younger siblings didn't completely destroy them even before everyone went home.
"Yep," Roy sighed sipping apple juice from his champagne flute. His eyes, however, were trained on the person. Y/N Wayne walked and talked on the arm of her father as they made their rounds. She looked gorgeous in that red dress with a high slit and her knotless goddess braids were pulled into a half-up half-down fashion. She looked up and saw him staring and gave him a soft smile that he quickly returned.
"You hate suits," Dick said plucking hor d'ouevres off a waiter's tray as they walked by. He didn't get it, Roy was so utterly devoted to Y/N. Dick was raised with her and knew all her faults and flaws but none of that mattered to Roy.
"Yep," Roy pulled at the collar of his tux at the reminder of the stiff contraption that he was wearing. Y/N had it custom-made for him so it was as irritable and it matched her dress. His hair was slicked back with one or two strands falling to frame his face.
"So, why are you here?" Dick couldn't fathom being in love with one person this much. Sure, he'd put himself through hours of torture for Kori or Babs but something so minuscule in the grand scheme of things seemed a bit tiring.
"I'm your sister's date," Roy shrugged. She asked if he wanted to come and said he didn't have to but the way her eyes lit up when he said yes made it all worth it.
"You know you don't have to do everything she asks," Dick stated. Roy considered it for a second. Sure on the surface it did seem like Roy mindlessly followed Y/N around but there were things she did for him that no one could fully understand even if they tried and he loved it. She was more than Bruce Wayne's daughter that everyone tried to make her out to be.
"I know but look how happy it made her. I'd do anything for her to be happy, you know that, right?" Roy stated clearly without hesitation.
"You're a good man, Roy," Dick patter his friend on the shoulder before going to take a knife from Damian.
-
"Roy?" A voice called from behind him. A voice that he'd recognize from anywhere.
"Oliver," Roy turned to the older man. The two had fallen out of contact in the past five or six years. Not because of bad blood or anything but the two had simply stopped talking. It was a little odd how the man he considered to be a father figure just disappeared but it was okay. Roy was going to get better regardless of whether Oliver was there or not.
"I didn't know you'd be here," Oliver wasn't clear on what to say. What do you say to the person that you raised as a child but abandoned because of a drug problem?
"I'm Y/N's plus one," Roy continued to sip his apple juice.
"Right, Bruce talks about how happy he is to have a grandkid. How is Lian?" Roy smiled at the mention of Bruce and Lian. The old Bat had enjoyed babysitting whenever Y/N and Roy needed a day off.
"She's good. She adores Y/N." It was true. Lian and Y/N were basically inseparable at times. It felt like Lian preferred at times but Roy would never have it any other way.
"Good, that's good. Why don't you, Y/N, and Lian stop by for dinner sometime?" That sounded like an empty offer but Roy would follow up with Dinah nonetheless to at least say he tried.
"Yeah, yeah" Roy was this close to breaking his champagne glass but if he learned anything from Y/N, it was to smile through the pain.
"Nice seeing you," Oliver disappeared into the crowd of rich people. Roy sighed with relief. His mood cheered when he saw Y/N walk towards him. She wore a bright smile on her face and seeing that smile made the painful interaction with Oliver so much more worth it.
"Hey, babe. Thank you for being here. I know you hate these things," Y/N pulled him close and inhaled his cologne. Her social battery was almost at zero and she wanted nothing more than to be cuddled on a couch with her boyfriend.
"You're welcome, sweetheart." He pressed a kiss to the top of her head. There was nowhere else he would rather be as long as he was with her.

Mending a Family 2/?

TW: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE/ SUICIDAL IDEATION
Disclaimer: I don't know anything about Roy Harper except what I've learned through fandom and Wiki. Please excuse me if he is out of character. Roy accidentally finds Jason.
Roy couldn’t believe his eyes. Jason Todd stood a few feet in front of him. The same Jason Todd who died years ago. He had red hair instead of black, and his eyes were green instead of blue. He was taller and broader, and a kid was hanging to his leg.
Roy would recognize him anywhere, no matter how much he had changed.
(Jason’s death was the reason he fell to alcoholism and tried to commit suicide via Killer Crocodile.)
“Daddy, I want to get closer to the edge,” Lian said.
Lian had wanted to see Niagara Falls for her sixth birthday. He never imagined he would run into a dead boy.
Jason hadn’t noticed him yet. Roy had no idea what to do. It’s not as if he could Dick and say, “Hey, how have you been? Did you know your dead brother is walking around Niagara Falls with a kid in tow?”
Roy could imagine how that conversation would go.
“Sorry, sweetie, it’s too dangerous,” he answered his daughter a beat later. His little girl pouted. Roy couldn’t help but smile. He loved Lian so much it hurt sometimes.
Suddenly, the little boy holding on to Jason looked at Roy with eerie green eyes before tugging on Jason’s pants and pointing at Roy. Jason looked at them. Roy watched as Jason’s eyes grew in fear before he got the little boy and ran. Well, if that wasn’t confirmation, Roy didn’t know what was.
Roy didn’t want to leave Lian alone, so he let his old friend run from him. It seemed he had some favors to call.
____
Raven was the only person Roy could think would help him without wanting to spill the beans right away. Wally was Dick’s best friend and would tell him immediately that they found his little brother alive; Starfire was out of the picture for similar reasons. Garth wouldn’t be able to keep it a secret. Cyborg could go either way. And Donna would want to go to Dick without even investigating first. So, Raven it was.
Once Roy explained who he saw and why he went to her, Raven agreed to help him.
She teleported them to Niagara Falls.
“There is a feeling of death here; it’s very strong.”
“Well, he did die. If he’s back…”
Raven shook her head, “It’s more than that. It feels like death magic but not malicious.”
Roy blinked. How was death magic not malicious?
Raven lifted him telekinetically, and they flew past the Canadian border.
Twenty minutes later, they landed in front of a little cottage in the middle of the forest. Jason was sipping a cup of tea on the porch on a rocking chair. He glared at Raven and Roy.
“If you wake my kid, I’m gonna kill you,” he threatened in a low voice. “What do you want, Harper? Did Dick send you?”
Roy blinked at Jason’s hard tone, and then what he said caught up to him.
“Dick, why would Dick send me? Aren’t you supposed to be dead?”
Jason snorted.
“Of course, they didn’t tell the hero community about the failure of the Batfamily coming back,” he said bitterly.
Roy blinked and turned to Raven, who frowned. Then what Jason said hit him, “Wait, Dick knows you’re back?!”
An hour later, Roy knew everything, and he was fuming. Dick had no right to keep something like this from him. So Jason had come back angry and spiteful; who cared? He was better now. Roy could understand not telling the whole damned world, but he couldn’t have told Roy that Jason was back? Roy almost committed suicide because of Jason’s death!
“So, how does the kid factor into all of this?”
Jason drank the rest of his now cold tea.
“I found him when he got spat out through a portal. I couldn’t leave him. I know it sounds weird, but I have a connection with him. We’re similar.”
“Not similar,” Raven said, “the same. Whatever he is, you are, too.”
Jason smiled sadly, “We’ve been touched by death and came back different. He’s not fully human. He’s half ghost, half human. Please, don’t tell the Bats you found me. They’d take him away from me, and I don’t think I’d survive it.”
Raven put a hand on Jason’s shoulder, and he felt a wash of calm come over him.
“Don’t worry; I know how you feel. I won’t tell anyone.”
“Me either, kid.”
Jason gave them a grateful smile. His eyes were suspiciously wet,
“Thank you.”
There was a beat of silence.
“So, when can we meet the tyke,” Roy asked.
Jason frowned, “When he wakes up. He doesn’t sleep enough, so I try to let him catch his Zs.”
“But I’ve been awake this whole time, papa,” a small voice said; no one was around.
Roy looked a bit spooked, and Raven looked surprised. Jason sighed.
“Danny, show yourself.”
A little boy with black hair and blue eyes appeared before them.
“Chum, you’re supposed to be asleep.”
“I couldn’t sleep; I felt a weird spirit’s presence. I wanted to make sure you were safe.”
Danny looked at Raven.
“You’re not like me and daddy, but you’re not fully human, either. What are you?”
“Danny, that’s rude,” Jason scolded him.
Danny pouted, and Raven laughed.
“It’s okay, Jason, he’s just curious. I’m half-human, half-demon.”
“That’s so cool! Me and daddy aren’t fully human, either. We’re halfas—half-human, half-ghost.”
“Danny, I’ve already told you I’m not a halfa. I don’t have any powers.”
“Okay, whatever you say, papa,” Danny said in a sing-song voice. Jason sighed.
Suddenly, Danny turned serious and pierced Raven and Roy with an intense look, “You’re not going to tell those bad people about us, right? They hurt daddy.”
Both Roy and Raven looked at each other. Raven flinched when she felt Jason’s overwhelming sadness and grief hit her. He was fingering a scar he had on his throat. How had he gotten it?
“Danny-lad, I already told you; I hurt them first. It’s okay; you don’t have to be mad at them.”
Danny’s eyes turned an eerie shade of neon green that had Raven shivering in her skin. Jason’s eyes turned into the same shade in response.
“It’s okay, Danny,” Raven tried to reassure the kid, “Nobody will find out about Jason from us.”
Danny looked at her for a while longer before nodding.
“Good, they don’t deserve him.”
Jason sighed.
“C’mon, I’ll make us some breakfast.”
Raven got up and followed the boys into the little cottage. She frowned as she felt a disturbance in the air. She looked south; something big was coming.
Hundreds of miles away, a green portal opened. A young teenage girl with red hair and glowing, teal eyes stepped out with a toddler in her arms. She was armed to the teeth.
“C’mon, Ellie, let’s go find our brother.”
Jazz is here! Is it a bit early, maybe, but I couldn't help myself. I chose Raven as the Titan to help find Jason because of her empath powers. She'd be able to understand Jason, and she's half-human like Danny and Jason. Jason is in denial that he is a halfa, but his powers will come in the future. We might not see the Batfam for two or three chapters.

Howdy! Could i make a request for arsenal Roy harper from young justice?
Lian is adamant that reader is her uncle Roys boyfriend.
Reader teases Roy about it everytime it happens (for this, I'd prefer that Roy is coming to terms with being bisexual, and reader is also bi)
Pairing: Roy Harper x male!reader
Summary: Roy is babysitting Lian when she once again refers to you as his boyfriend. shenanigans ensue
A/N: AAAAAAAAAAAA Finally I have written something again and hopefully I will manage to do it more in the next time. I will probably work on my Roy Harper Requests first because...well...he's my husband. Thank you for everyone who's supporting me :3
REQUESTS ARE OPEN
Tumblr media
Roy Harper was leaning against the kitchen counter, watching Lian, his niece, bouncing around the room with boundless energy. Well…he called her his niece. At some point he just got tired of the whole ‘Yeah i got cloned and that clone had a child with an assassin’-talk. But he liked Lian. He really did.
"Uncle Roy!" Lian's voice cut through his thoughts as she came to a skidding halt in front of him. "When is (y/n) coming over again?"
Roy raised an eyebrow, trying to suppress a smile. He almost hated how easy the mention of you made him smile. "Why, Lian? Getting bored of me already?"
Lian giggled at that. "Maybe! And besides, I wanna show them my new art project."
"Your art project, huh? You know I’m really not sure if (y/n) has time to come by today. You know how busy he is with Uncle Dick and the whole crew”
Of course Roy loved Lian. He loved hanging out with her, even if babysitting was not on his usual agenda. But the thought of you being out there on a mission without him made him…he wasn’t sure. He didn’t like it.
Lian's eyes widened innocently. "He’s there without you? I thought he was your boyfriend.”
Roy nearly choked on the glass of water he had been drinking, caught off guard by Lian's bluntness. At this point it shouldn’t even surprise him anymore. Lian did mention it a lot. He had no idea what made her so insistent that he was dating you.
It wasn’t even realistic considering you were way out of his league. (he would never say that outloud)
"Well, Lian," and of course in that exact moment you had returned to Will’s apartment because who are you to say no when the little girl begs you to come by. Roy was hoping you hadn’t heard anything but his hopes weren’t high. "I don't know about being Uncle Roy's boyfriend, but I do like spending time with him."
Lian's face lit up with excitement. "See, I told you!" She pointed at Roy, triumphant. "I knew it!"
Roy rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a warmth creep up his cheeks. "He said he likes hanging out. He also likes hanging out with Dick and Will and Kaldur.”
You chuckled and draped an arm around Roy's shoulders. "He’s right, Lian. Cut your uncle Roy a break. We’re just good buddies.” you looked over at him, giving him a quick wink. “Even though I do like hanging out with him the most.”
Lian rolled her eyes dramatically, clearly unconvinced. "Sure, just good buddies. Like I believe that."
Roy groaned playfully. "You're impossible, you know that?"
You just chuckled. “Wonder who she got that from.” he lightly hit Roy in his side with your elbow. “Surely not from Roy Harper who never manages to keep his mouth shut.”
“Hey!” He gave you a playful pout.
“To be fair, Will isn’t better so it might just be the Harper gene.”
“Oh wait, I can show you the picture I drew!” Lian grinned and skipped out of the room, leaving you and Roy alone.
Roy sighed, looking at you with a mix of exasperation and affection.
"You know, one of these days, she's gonna get it into her head that she's some kind of matchmaker."
You laughed, leaning in to bump your shoulder against Roy's. "Well, can you blame her? She's got a great judge of character. Can’t blame her for wanting me in the family either. Do you have like…arrow family game nights"
Roy's gaze softened as he met your eyes, not being able to hold back from giving you a soft smile. "You're something else, you know that?"
You winked again. “I’m gonna take this as a compliment, Arsenal.”
The way you looked at him made his heart skip and it was hard to deny that he had some feelings towards you.
You knew of course. Or at least you thought about it. You were the last person to just assume Roy’s sexuality especially after the guy apparently had been frozen on ice for some time and now had to pick up on all the stupid shit you do as a teenager.
Like figuring out your sexuality which you thankfully already had behind you. And you were really glad about that. Because you know how hard it is. Especially if you have literal world ending scenarios to worry about.
He opened his mouth to say something when Lian raced back into the room.
“Here, Uncle (y/n)! Look!” she said and held up a piece of paper to you.
Roy leaned over your shoulder to also catch a look at it. His breath hitched in his throat.
It was the usual colorful and stickman drawing you would expect of a small child. It took you a few seconds but you eventually managed to recognize the figures in the picture. The small one and the big one were Lian and Will. There were Oliver and Dinah, and Chesire on the other side. And on the far left of the drawing were two figures that were unmistakably you and Roy, holding the others stickman hands and having a few hearts drawn around each other.
You moved to kneel down in front of Lian. “This is really beautiful.”
“You like it?!” her eyes were basically glowing.
“We like it, right?” you looked up at Roy.
Roy was a bit speechless for a moment, hoping no one was able to see the faint blush on his cheeks. “Yeah…yeah it’s nice.”
“Yay!” she excitedly started jumping around in a circle.
That’s when you heard your front door open. “What are we being excited about?” Willa asked while walking in.
“I draw (y/n) a picture! He likes it!” Lian said with a wide grin, running over to her dad.
“Really? That’s–” Will stopped when he looked at you and Roy. “...are you two crying?”
And you were TOTALLY NOT getting really emotional over the child’s drawing of you.
“No.” both you and Roy said at the same time.
“...ooookay” Will slowly nodded. “Well..eh…thank you for babysitting, Roy.”
“No problem.” Roy awkwardly looked at you.
You looked at him at the same moment before looking at your watch. “...I know this really great Italian place. Hungry?”
“Are you paying?”
“Aren’t you using Ollie’s credit card? Isn’t he like a billionaire?”
Roy looked at you for a moment. “...good point. Let’s go.”
With that Will watched you two leave the apartment after you both said goodbye to Lian.
“...they are going on a date, aren’t they?” he looked down at Lian.
“No. They are just very good buddies.” she giggled while going back into her room to get another picture she drew for her dad.
Will just decided not to question it.

Wally West X Wife! Batsis! Reader

Arthur's notes! Third P. O. V
Y/N is 5 months pregnant with Wally's baby. She confronts her husband after he becomes distant from her.
Tumblr media
The news of her pregnancy was a complete delight to not only the Wayne family(adopted included) and the Allen's but also to the team. During the news of her pregnancy Wally was overjoyed but as she began to show more..
He barely touched her. Barely even looked at her. She had enough and she needed answers before she exploded at him. Y/N stands with her arms folded looking to Wally who had guiltily expression on his face.
"do you even want to have a baby Wally? Because these last few weeks you barely even look at me. You avoid talking about names. You haven't gone with me to my appointments in weeks... You have to be honest with me!"
"I.. I..I.. I know" he didn't know what to say or how to form the right words of how truly scared he is "I.. I don't know how... To say.. "
"well until you do. Don't sleep with me!" she snapped tears running down her face
Wally feels absolutely sick. Damaged as she slammed their bedroom door shut.. He speeded out of their home. He stood in front Roy's house. He knew Grayson would worry too much and is too close to Barbara who is close to Y/N. Barry was currently off planet with a justice league mission. Roy was more of his older brother figure over the years. He didn't feel like running his emotions out.
It's 2:45 a:m. He moved his hand to ring the doorbell. He then stopped realizing Lian is probably asleep right now.. Oh right Lian. Best she doesn't see her uncle like this. He sits on the step to the porch.
"get your shit together West" he sighed to himself with a bitter laugh while pinching the bridge of his nose.
Donna Harper maiden name Troy wakes as she heard footsteps on their porch. She shakes her husband's shoulder
"hmm already ready for round two Don" he yawned with a smirk
She roll her eyes scoffing "not that! I hear someone on our porch Roy"
"what?.." he said still not registering what his wife said.
"oh for the love of--" he cut her off
"relax Don I got it now"
Roy sat up and pulled up the security camera to the front porch.
"Wally?" the couple both said
Roy quickly gets out of the bed. She followed suit putting on her robe as Roy put on his sweatpants. Roy and Don step to the kitchen. He opens the fridge grabbing two drinks with a box of cold leftover pizza. Don kisses his lips.
"you know the drill"
Wally hears the entrance door open and then heard the door shut.
"couldn't have called us West?" he asked with a soft laugh "you ok kid?"
He sits next to him and offers the drink to him. He gives Wally the box of pizza! He snatched the box opening it and grabbed a piece. He began to devour the pizza. Wally swallow hard and put the empty box behind him. Wally drinks some of the beverage
"what's going on kid?" Roy further questioned his deeply stressed friend
Wally ran his fingers through his short red hair "I'm not in the mood to fucking talk about my feelings Roy" Wally scoffed lying. He did, he needed to confide in his brother.
"when you gonna stop lying to me kid? I told you can trust me" Wally then began thinking back to when he was getting abused by his dad.. The source of what was bothering him.. Roy was there for Wally. He always is.
Angered he extend his arm glaring off in the distance "it's not that fucking simple Roy. I promised her I was happy but--" he sighed heavily his throat shaking
"Wally you two will work things out" he said with a shrug to his shoulders "she loves you enough to put up with you"
"I don't want to be him ok" Wally said shallow breath "I look at her and I think about the baby. Then my joy is absolutely ripped away as I think about..."
"West.. You're--" he cut him off
"don't, just don't." he hissed "I'm fine Roy. I acted like a complete dumbass. I deserve to feel like this" his voice broken
"no your not and no you don't. Wally listen to me man. Just tell her what's going on. It's not gonna stop hurting but it will get easier" Roy promised him.
"I am so fucked up right now Roy. I keep having nightmares of me turning into.. Him" Wally lightly shakes his head being honest with himself "I don't know how.. " he feels so broken. Like he's sick. He takes another gulp of his drink "I am going to lose her" he strutted clenching his face.
"go home West, be honest with her.." Roy yawns taking the empty drinks and boxed pizza. Wally gently nodded taking his friends advice "well I'm exhausted some kid-idiot woke me up" he sarcastically said Roy stands ruffling Wally's hair like he did when he was a kid "go home, talk to your wife. Fix this. You're gonna be a great Dad Wallman. You're great with kids and honestly you're not ever going to be like him"
As he opens the door "you got me out of the storm again Red" Wally thanked
"I'm always here to be your therapist but try to come at normal hours.."
It's 4 o'clock in the morning. Y/N sits on the recliner chair rubbing her bump lovingly. She had fresh tears running down her face. Y/N feels a gush a wind seeing Wally with food from her favorite restaurant. He knew the baby always was kicking at this time of night and she would be having cravings.
"I know I've severely fucked up, I know this won't fix it"
He fixes her a plate and a glass of water. Wally gave her the plate of food and sat the glass on the coffee table. Wally sits on the couch still trying to convince himself he won't ever be like his parents. Y/N finished her plate of food. Wally speeded to take, her plate to the sink and clean it.. Then he puts, it away and comes back to sit on the couch.
"do you not want the baby?" she asked yet again trying not to sob "are you not happy anymore?"
The speedsters heart physically heavies. He made her feel like that. Wally shakes his head as his eyes became glassy. Wally kneels beside her taking her hand and gently kisses the palm of her hand.
"babe I am so sorry I made you feel like I wasn't happy with you.. I couldn't be happier. I just am scared.. Of hurting you and our baby" his eyes shake. He tried so hard to keep from crying. He stuttered choking back a cry "I'm so scared of becoming him Y/N... I didn't know how to tell you.. I just tried to block all my emotions and ignore them.. I don't want to hurt you or our baby.. Because I love you.. And our baby so much. If anything would ever happen to you or our baby it'd kill me"
She takes his hand.. With so much love and a hint of sympathy. How is she still in love with him?
"Wally, you're my love. You are so much full of light and love.. You are nothing like him. You are my other half and I love you. Our baby will love you"
She pulled him closer into a hug. He lays on her chest letting himself cry. He kisses her bump feeling the baby kick for the first time. Then guilt hits her hard enough to make her cry.
"I should have told you sooner I just you'd been distant from me and I.."
"what's wrong? Is something wrong with the b-baby?" he asked his voice became heavier as a tear falls down.
"I'm not pregnant with just one baby" she admits
A wide smile came to his lips.
Months later...
It was late in the night Wally was cuddled up next to his wife after patrol with Nightwing. She had just told him to be quiet so he didn't wake up their son. As Wally finally felt rested he hears a gentle cooing sound from the baby monitor.
Wally speeded into the nursery. He lifts his daughter into his arms. He loved to hold her. To hold his son.. He loved them so much it was better than getting struck by lightning, better than anything. The fact that his wife went through what she did to bring them into the world.. He began to cry. He never thought he could feel so much adoration and love.

Roy: Could-
Jason: No.
Roy: Why-
Jason: "Why not?" Listen, Roy, I'm willing to do a lot of things with you for the sake of causing our mentors pain. But this takes the cake for the dumbest idea you have ever had.
Roy: It's not that bad-
Jason: You want to try and jump across the gap of a volcano with a modified car! Nevermind the logistics of that, I not only enjoy my girlfriend, but also being alive again!
Roy: Okay, fine! Damn.
Jason:
Roy:
Jason, remembering the best point to make: Plus you're responsible for a whole child!
Roy: As opposed to half a child?
Jason: Roy!

It’s so interesting to me how the DC fandom right now is stuck in this weird time period which has never existed in the comics but seems to exist entirely within fanon. And it exists in an extremely substantial amount of fanon works even though it’s never been an established time period
Its like. Damian is robin, Dick is nightwing and Bruce is Batman, but Tim is still red robin. And even though he’s red robin he’s out as bi, which happened like ten years after his red robin run. And Babs is still oracle and she’s still in a wheelchair and no one is batgirl, but her and Dick are usually not dating even though they’re dating atm in the comics. And Jason exists in this nebulous state where he both is and isn’t an active criminal like some high stakes Schrodingers cat. Steph and Tim usually aren’t dating either. Alfred is somehow still alive, and almost no one in the fandom acknowledges that he’s dead in their fanwork
And Jon and Damian are friends, Jon hasn’t been aged up, but he’s also usually acknowledged as being bisexual (even if it’s not a ship fic). Kon is alive and everyone remembers him. The powers that either of them are able to use are entirely dependent on the whims of the author
It’s anyone’s guess as to whether a fanfic author decides that Barry or Wally is going to be flash in their fic. Bart is always impulse, he never retired at any point, in a few fics he never even died even though Kon did. Roy Harper is Jason’s friend and rarely Dick’s, Lian is a young child, and Kori is Jason’s friend. No mention of the other titans
It’s so weird cause like. It’s not that these events never occurred in canon it’s just that they all occurred at wildly different points in time, not usually overlapping, and somehow the fandom has collectively decided and agreed upon this made up time period which has never existed in the comics. It’s kind of cool honestly but also genuinely bizarre

Cardinal Sins Chapter 4
Tumblr media
𓅪 Living with your vigilante boyfriends for the past year has been amazing, well, almost. Butting heads, old wounds resurfacing and a deadly threat still looming overhead could threaten the sanctity of everything you've ever fought for. Will you finally overcome your tainted past and survive the trials and tribulations, or will your relationships and your faith crumble under the pressure?
Rated: E | TW: mentions of alcoholism | 8k Contains: arguments, girls night, 69, oral, anal sex, dick riding, squirting, fingering, break ins fem!Reader x Jason Todd x Roy Harper [masterlist] Previous in Series: Art of Rehabilitating Snowbirds
Chapter 4: Don't Worry Baby
Over the next few weeks, Roy begins to disappear for hours at a time.
Jason doesn’t seem particularly disturbed by this new development, but you can’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy spark.
He’s been MIA for two-three hours each night for the past week before you finally break.
You have no trouble taking care of Lian and you don’t mind hanging out with Jason, but regardless, you deserve to know where your other boyfriend has been disappearing off to.
“Where does he keep going?” You finally ask Jason one night as you cuddle on the couch. You’d just put Lian to sleep and Jason insisted on watching a horror flick with you.
Tumblr media
On the screen, a dude is being ripped in half by a chainsaw. Your lip instantly turns up slightly in distaste. Could the movie be considered horror so much as gore? Are those not two different genres?
Apparently not.
“Try not to sound so jealous, babe,” Jason shrugs nonchalantly, “I wouldn’t worry about it too much.” You glare at him, shifting in his muscular arms so you can better face him to pout. “What?”
“So, when you guys were dating, he’d just disappear like this and you wouldn’t care?”
“No,” He responds like it’s obvious.
“Okay,” You drawl, “so, shouldn’t we be concerned?”
With all the recent shit with Cadmus, coupled with the death of Guardian, you knew it couldn’t be easy for Roy. Contrarily, every time you made to ask, he’d say he’s still coming to terms with it before conveniently changing the subject.
All that being said, your inner jealousy flickers at the irrational possibility he’s in someone else’s bed.
As if hearing your ridiculous thought, Jason finally turns his attention from the TV to address you.
“He’s not fucking cheating,” Jason rolls his eyes and disturbs your cuddling cocoon to pause the movie. At your finger in the air and mouth poised to debate, he quickly rebuts your other argument before it can slip past your plump lips, “And no, he’s not at a fucking bar.”
You start to ask him how he knows for sure when the elevator stops on the floor and a sheepish Roy trudges in.
“Hey,” He nods his head at the two of you nonchalantly as he patters about the kitchen before joining the two of you, shirtless, with a water bottle. Instead of cuddling up, Roy remains at the other end of the couch with Jason’s feet in his lap.
“Sup,” Jason’s already invested back in the movie, having hit play soon after Roy had made his entrance.
“Chainsaw Massacre?”
“Yup,” Jason doesn’t even bother to look away from the screen, popping the ‘p’ at the end distractedly. That’s all they say. You must look between the two of them like they’re crazy because Jason asks, “What?”
“Seriously?” You ask incredulously.
He’s really not going to question where Roy’s been?
“I’m not going to ask ‘what’ again, babe.” Regardless of his dry humor, his hands continue to gently drag up and down your skin from under your shared blanket.
Roy peers at you out of the corners of his eyes. As soon as your eyes lock, however, his guiltily retreat forward again.
“Jay treat you right tonight, princess?” His shoulders are tense, nearly squared, as he pretends to follow along with the massacre on the screen.
Your eyes never leave the side of his face. You watch as he visibly swallows under your heavy gaze.
“I always like it when it’s the three of us,” You reply pointedly, “but maybe that’s just me.”
Jason’s obviously deriving way too much pleasure from seeing Roy get the brunt of your heat for once. Regardless, he remains silent as he observes the two of you out of his peripheral.
“I like it too, baby,” Roy cautiously scoots closer to you and you allow it. He wriggles around a bit, crushing your fucking calves as he kicks off his jeans, leaving him in just his boxers and trucker cap. “Sorry,” He says about your legs before finally giving in and allowing himself to be absorbed into the cuddle pile.
You bite your tongue as best you can, trying to ignore how good the massage he’s giving you feels, but it only lasts for so long.
“Roy,” You can tell he already knows where this is going based on the way his hands are still on your shoulders. “Where were you tonight?”
Jason and Roy are lounging side-by-side on the widest part of the sectional, with you sitting on either half of their laps. To face Roy, you have to shuffle a bit, but he ends up coaxing you to straddle his lap instead. Jason briefly fusses with the blanket before throwing an arm around Roy’s shoulders.
“She’s been worried,” His eyes resituate back on the screen as soon as he settles beside the two of you.
“Not you, though?” Roy snorts. Jason’s lack of response is answer enough and soon Roy’s smile falls. “I’ve just dealing with the aftermath of everything,” He runs his smooth hands along the bare expanse of your skin, pushing up the edge of his over-sized shirt of his that you stole to rub gentle circles into your hips, “It’s been hard to come to terms with everything, even still.”
“Why do you feel like you need to do it alone?”
“That’s not what I’m doing.”
“That’s exactly what you’re doing,” You counter resolutely.
He quiets instantly. His verdant eyes search yours for salvation he seems to realize only truly comes from within, something that breaks the core of your very being. You want to be there to take the pain away, you want to be the one to take away his pain. You know Jason feels the same. The fact of the matter is, you and Jason can support Roy all you want, but only if he lets the two of you in first.
The sudden blood-curdling scream from the TV scares the shit out of you and sends you flying into Roy’s chest. He wraps his arms around you without a second thought, though your boyfriend’s annoying laughter is what follows.
Jason finally fucking pauses the movie to join the conversation. You stare at the side of his face, noting how constipated he looks as he tries to find the right words.
Meanwhile, you can’t ignore the feeling of Roy’s unwavering gaze.
“We love you, Roy,” Jason’s voice sounds slightly monotonous, but the way his Adam’s apple bobs in the wake of his words tells you and Roy everything you need to know. “I talk to you guys about my shit; she talks to us about her shit. Why wouldn’t you be able to open up to us, too?”
You try not to stare at Roy as he works out his words, but you can’t help it. You love him, every inch of him and you can’t imagine your life without him. You want him to tell you what’s on his mind, you want him to come to you with what keeps him up at night, you want to be the one to make it better.
Now and always.
“I don’t want to be a burden,” Is what he finally chokes out.
“Do you fucking hear yourself, Roy Harper?” Your eyebrows furrow together in anger.
“How can I not when I let you get captured?” Roy rubs at his face irritably. “I fucking let myself get scared and got so fucking caught up in it that I couldn’t even protect the ones I love. Not even my fucking clone,” He begins to ramble, “and it’s weird I fucking feel that protective over him when he and Will were the reasons I nearly drank myself to death in the first place. I just…” He trails off, “ I don’t know how to feel.”
“And that's okay,” You emphasize. “You’re processing some crazy, traumatic shit, baby.”
He nods and both of you wait for him to collect his thoughts.
“The whole thing just fucking triggered me. Like, it threw me back to that moment in time. All those years wasted in that wretched place, all the resentment that stuck with me because of it,” Roy sighs. “I feel like I let you down by letting you come on the mission and then not even being able to keep my cool enough to protect you,” He snorts humorlessly. “Fuck, I sound like Jay after that gala shit.”
He looks at you guilty for bringing it up, but you merely nod in response, “We were talking about the similarities that night, post mission.”
Roy looks confused until Jason fills him in on your prior conversation, “You were asleep. We didn’t want to wake you, but yeah,” Jason clears his throat, awkwardly looking off to the side as he does so, “I felt that same shit. Just know you’re not alone, love.”
He pulls the two of you in for a bone crushing hug.
When he pulls away, he heaves out a great sigh, “I’ve never had the urge to drink so much as I have these past few weeks,” He watches the two of your reactions carefully before continuing, “I’m, like, feeling really squirrely.” You and Jason watch with the same level of concern as he scratches at his forearms briefly before stopping. “I’ve been upping my meetings, but I can’t deny that I never finished all my steps considering the programs some religious bullshit half the time, but the talking helps. I tried to do the steps in a way that felt logical and authentic for me from my Native upbringing, but, yeah,” He looks dejected, “I never technically followed the program the way they wanted, so it’s always been sorta difficult to feel fully healed.”
You don’t know what to say, but you know you want to comfort him.
“How can we help you, baby?”
Roy looks up at you sheepishly, “I just have to go to my meetings, maybe talk with Leslie again,” He nods Jason’s way. “I know I can’t let it seep through to the point that Lian notices, though,” Roy’s begun scratching again and doesn’t seem to realize it until you and Jason place your hands over his to cease the action. “Sorry.”
He looks seconds away from tears and you feel yourself very much in the same boat.
“Baby,” You coo helplessly as you gather him in your arms.
You feel his tears hit you before his sniffles hit your ears. It only makes you pull him in closer as he falls apart. Jason guides the two of you to the floor in his secure grip as Roy crumbles.
“She’s fuckin’ old enough now to remember all this shit,” Roy’s always been an ugly crier, oozing every ounce of his essence into each slick tear and snot-ridden wail. You and Jason hold him through every sob that wracks his tired body. “I can’t let her see me like this, I can’t slip up like I did, I can’t-”
Jason cuts off his shallow, panicked breaths with his calming rumble, “You won’t.”
“I won’t?” Roy sniffles loudly, snorting excess snot back into his nose in a way that leaves you cringing, though you hold onto him regardless. “How do you know?”
“Because you’re this worried about it, baby,” You say it like it’s obvious. “Being worried shows concern and shows you’re actively avoiding making that mistake. If you weren’t concerned, well, that’d be more concerning.”
He nods half-heartedly, but Jason continues where you left off anyway.
“You’re not going to mess anything up and you’re not going to mess our little girl up any more than normal parents mess their kids up,” Roy opens his mouth to say something, but Jason cuts him off, “Especially not with your addiction, love.” Roy doesn’t seem so convinced. Jason releases his grip on Roy to face where him with you curled up in his freckled arms. “She’s our daughter, Roy. No parent’s perfect, but you fucking try, Roy. Listen, you’ll piss her off when you have to go on long missions and leave her behind; she’ll curse at you when you tell her no social media until she’s 12 and that she can’t date until she’s a Sophomore,” His eyes burn earnestly into Roys. “She’ll blame you for not having a normal job and having to move so much; she’ll scream at you when she realizes you’ve lied to her about being a hero, but she’ll always love you and she’ll always look up to you. She’s our daughter, Roy.”
“I love you, Jay,” Roy allows Jason to wipe away his tears. “You both always know what to say to make me feel better.”
Jason shrugs, looking at you, “It’s true.”
You feel Roy shift and look up to see him looking down at you earnestly, “Don’t cry for me, princess.” He slowly wipes away tears you hadn’t realized you’d let slip with his thumb. You can’t help but smile at his ridiculous request. He leans over and captures your lips in a sweet, sloppy kiss that leaves a trail of, what you hope is, spit behind. He looks down at you through half-lidded eyes before murmuring lowly, “It’s gonna be okay.”
“Isn’t that what I should be telling you?” You scoff lightly, pulling him down slot your lips gently against his wet ones.
“It’s gonna be okay,” He says again as he rests his freckled forehead against yours. “Don’t worry, baby.”
•••
You do end up worrying.
Endlessly.
Jason’s in the exact same boat, something he only mentions when Roy’s at his meetings and never in front of Lian.
Needless to say, your trio’s been on edge with Roy’s recent struggles.
The majority of your group’s energy has been rightfully focused on making sure Roy stays safe and healthy. Unfortunately, this means other dynamics in the relationship get lost in the woodwork. Other dynamics being, of course, your fiery spats with Jason.
Regardless of all the headway you’ve made with Jason and your arguments, it was only a matter of time before someone slipped up. Shit like Joker escaping sets you and Jason off to the point that both of you are back to acting like you aren’t each other’s main support systems right now.
You don’t blame Roy. You know Jason doesn’t either. There are always going to be times when one of you needs more love and support than other times, hell, there are days when one of you needs more attention, so, that’s what happens. No, you can only blame yourself for reveling in the past few days, argument free, with Jason. Instead of using the ceasefire to work further on the relationship, you’d both gotten lost in each other.
By the time Roy gets home, you and Jason are already at each other’s throats.
You know both of you don’t want him seeing this. Roy’s already stressed enough, but neither of you can stop.
“With Joker on the loose, it’s an opportunity for justice.”
“You mean vengeance,” You say without missing a beat.
“God,” Jason runs frustrated hands through his raven locks. “Stop trying to sound like that fucking deadbeat.”
“He’s not a deadbeat, Jason.”
“Jason,” Roy tries to wedge between the two of you, but neither you nor Jason back down.
“I’m not sitting here arguing with you about Bruce. It’s fucking weird,” He dismisses you with a disgusted face.
“Why?!”
You wish he’d just admit outright that he has an issue with you being seen as part of the family.
“Roy got his justice with Cadmus,” He completely avoids your question. “Why not me? Us?”
You see his point, but it’s not enough to calm your worries.
You just got your real family, you can’t loose them.
Not now.
“Bruce will-” You start, only to have him immediately cut you off.
“I don’t give a fuck about Bruce. If he’s truly the father he claims to be he’d love me,” He looks off to the side uncomfortably as he broaches a topic he never has before, “us, regardless of the blood on our hands; regardless of the sins.”
You don’t want to risk it out of your own petty fear.
“Jason,” You trail off, feeling your frustration bubble over.
The only reason you’d stopped him from killing Joker at the dockyards was to prevent Jason and, subsequently, you from the family. If you weren’t willing to part with Bruce and the Batfam then, how could you now?
How is Jason so willing to lose the people he loves over the death of one man?
“Listen, if push comes to shove and I get another chance,” Jason takes your hands into his own. “I will end him once and for all. For you and Babs, for all the innocent people he’s hurt. And, you know what? Selfishly for me.”
Your stomach churns uncomfortably. You see both sides of the situation, but it sure as hell doesn’t make it any easier.
“I don’t know if I’ll let you.”
His eyes grow emotionless again as his hands slip from yours and into his gym-short pockets.
“Please,” Jason smirks, though there’s no amusement behind it. “You couldn’t stop me if you tried.”
“Already have,” You taunt back, ignoring Roy’s pleas for the two of you to calm down.
“That was then,” His deep voice booms across the cold apartment. “I won’t let you get to my head this time. That was my mistake.”
“Your mistake was listening to me?”
“Maybe,” He shrugs indifferently just to piss you off. You try not to let it, but it ends up doing exactly what he’d meant it to.
“Good to know,” You mutter, feeling your feet move before your brain can catch up. You’re not going to sit here and take this pointless back and forth.
No, you refuse.
Jason scoffs, “You’re leaving? One little fight and you’re just ditching?”
“Fuck you, Jason,” You brush past him, stripping off his t-shirt you’re wearing and throwing it in his face as you do.
He angrily throws the shirt to the ground, stomping behind you as you make your way into the master closet. To spite him further, you change into one of your skimpiest outfits.
Once you’re clothed, you turn around to face Jason’s cross-armed ire.
“Guys, come on,” Roy picks the shirt up off the floor, following anxiously after the angry train.
“Seriously,” Jason continues to taunt you. “One little argument and you’re running off to Damian again?”
You stop in your tracks, completely dumbfounded by his accusation. Does he seriously think so low of you, or is this just another example of him saying hurtful things in a fight?
You test the simmering waters. “Do you really think of me as some whore?”
“Don’t ask me that right now,” He growls, blocking your exit out of the closet.
Roy sighs as he takes in the misplaced passion.
“You know what? Fuck you, Jason,” You angrily finish slipping into your heels before clomping past him. “Sorry that shit was so much fucking better before I was here.”
Another point of contention has been your jealousy that they were officially together long before you. You know it makes no sense, really, you do, but what part of jealousy is ever rational?
It seems like every time you get in an argument, Jason will look at Roy like the issue is solely yours. Like you’re this obvious outlier because their previous years had been, for the most part, argument free.
You hate it.
Hell, even when Jason and Roy do fight, 9 out of 10 times, it never escalates much past some griping and the cold shoulder for an hour or two.
“You know that’s not true,” His voice is deadly serious.
You don’t offer another word as you storm into the elevator and place the call. The other line picks up as the doors begin to shut on a pissed-off Jason and a worn-down Roy.
Regardless of your captivated audience, you don’t hold back the desperation in your voice.
“I need to see you.”
The doors clank shut as you get your response.
•••
You arrive at the restaurant first.
It’s one of those new, shitty gentrified places that stand out horribly against the historic grime of the buildings surrounding it. The restaurant boasts the best views of Gotham’s waterways in the city, but you’re just here for the overpriced drinks.
Besides, you’re really not in the mood to argue in favor of Waffle House over this place, so.
You called last minute, but you weren’t expecting to wait alone this long. You’re getting lost in thought when someone startles you out of it.
“Hope you don’t mind that I brought a friend.” The voice startles you. You jump, hoping to cover it up by turning around on your swivel stool, but you’ve been made. “Didn’t mean to scare you, beautiful.”
You roll your eyes, “Oh, it’s you.” You say in faux monotony before turning to the redhead beside Steph with a more enthusiastic welcome. “Babs! How are you?” You slide from your seat to bend down and give her a warm hug.
“You look stunning,” Babs gives you a once over before giving you two thumbs up.
Steph huffs, “Oh, yeah, yeah. I forgot you have a redhead kink.”
“Fuck you!” You smack her on the shoulder with a wide smile before dropping your teasing act to pull her in for a hug, too.
The three of you move away from the bar, finding a seat where you remove a chair so Babs is able to pull up to the table. The rambunctious chatter surrounding you coupled with your friends now being here only amplifies the cottony-residue your drink has left in your brain.
Though the entire restaurant is packed, it’s dying down for the night. The two tables beside you leave within a few minutes of your group sitting down, leaving you with more freedom to talk about why you called Steph over here in the first place.
“What did we come to bail you out from tonight?” Steph, always one to get straight to business, doesn’t bother beating around the bush any further.
You sigh, absentmindedly stirring your drink with your straw before inhaling the whole thing. The alcohol burns your throat, instantly filling your stomach with warmth that leaves you shivering in the aftermath.
“Shit,” You say, scrunching up your face as the overwhelming taste takes over your mouth.
“Damn, that bad?”
“Maybe,” You snort at Babs’ question. “I dunno,” You stir the ice in the empty glass, absentmindedly watching as it clinks around before lifting your head to face your friends.
“So, you’re gonna be stubborn, then?” Steph huffs before calling over the waiter.
Babs catches on to something your tipsy brain obviously doesn’t. She smiles devilishly as Steph mutters something to the tired-looking waiter, then moves to distract you before you can question it.
Listen, you know you’re tipsy. You also know that both these women know exactly how to get you to talk.
Two shots and a half a drink later, you can’t hold back any longer.
Yes, you’re a fucking lightweight now.
It’s been so long since you’ve gotten shitfaced. You know you’re going to regret all of this in the morning, but right now? Right now, you’re having a fucking ball.
Babs is teasing you about your pronunciation, or lack thereof. Meanwhile, Steph keeps bringing up old inside jokes that leave your sides in stitches.
“Soo,” Steph starts, “what happened to the happy throuple?” You wince, motioning for Babs to hand you the shot in front of her. She easily obliges. “That is what this is about, right?”
“Jason and I can’t stop arguing,” You finally huff out with a tipsy pout before downing the burning liquid.
“Jason argues with everyone,” Babs states as if it’s obvious.
“Yeah,” You roll your eyes, “everyone except Roy.”
Babs and Steph share a look as if they already have you all figured out. Hell, they probably had you figured out from the moment you begged them to meet you.
“Well,” Steph starts, “first of all, you guys are the cutest couple, throuple,” She corrects herself, “I’ve ever seen.”
Babs doesn’t miss a beat, “Second, I guarantee you Jason and Roy argue more than you’re letting on. You might just be overreacting because you’re hurt. Has it just been recently?”
You pout even more, crossing your arms as you slump down in the booth like a petulant child, “Maybe.”
Steph snorts like your tipsiness is the cutest, most pathetic thing she’s seen, “I don’t know what advice we can offer you considering neither of us have ever been in any kind of situation like this before, you lucky fuck,” Stephanie adds the last part teasingly. “What I do know is that you guys have been making it work for over a year now-“
“And years before that!” Babs adds, referencing your high school years when the three of you were unknowingly chasing after each other.
“And years before that,” Steph agrees. “You all love each other dearly. I’m sure it hasn’t been easy now that…” She trails off unsurely, noting how you seem to straighten at the shift in conversation. She clears her throat, “Now that Joker escaped.”
“Yeah,” Your tone makes it clear you’re not wanting to talk further on the subject. If anything, it only proves her point further. “It only adds to it that Roy’s been struggling ever since Cadmus. I don’t blame him, obviously, but it does have an effect on us.”
“Kon knows what he’s going through. Well, about as much as anyone can, I guess. They should talk.”
You think back to Roy mentioning meetings not helping and wonder if this could offer the shift he needs. At the very least it could offer some solace.
She gives you Kon’s number while Babs presses deeper.
“Joker and Cadmus are all big, sure, but you’re forgetting you’ve gone through major changes too. I mean, you’ve just started out on patrol,” Babs adds. She lowers her voice, leaving you and Steph to lean across the table to catch her words, “Being a vigilante is draining. It can weigh on you like no other and if you don’t get a safe outlet, it can leak out in other, less than healthy ways.”
You nod, nursing the last remnants of your drink.
“How do you guys cope?”
Steph smiles, “Painting.”
“Reading,” Babs offers. “Making sure I’m practicing self care and all those good things. It’s important to know when you’re reaching your limit too. Do you think this is what that is?” You stare at her quizzically until she continues, “I just mean, could this maybe be an emotional response triggered by you reaching your limit without you realizing it? Jason too?”
“I-“ You start, trailing off as you get lost in the way the condensation forms on your cup. “I don’t know.”
These past few months have really been the first few times you’ve been out in the field with them. Maybe none of you were quite ready for the emotional toll it would take.
Maybe… No, you know Babs’ is right.
You sigh.
“Everyone goes through challenging times,” Babs places a comforting hand over your own. “Try not to read too much into things that aren’t actually there, yeah? You’ll just end up creating more problems than you know what to do with and the actual cause will go ignored.”
“Damn, Babs, do you charge by the hour?” Babs feigns being scandalized until Steph rolls her eyes, “I mean as, like, a therapist, you fucking weirdo.”
“Considering the debt I’m still paying off to GU, I’ll take what I can get,” Babs jests back easily.
“Drinks are on me then tonight, ladies!” Stephanie orders another round before settling back into her seat. “So,” She leans in with a mischievous smirk and diabolically clasped hands, “I may have some tea.”
“About the GCPD officer?” You ask.
Babs just laughs while Stephanie looks disgusted, “Oh, no, fuck that. That lasted maybe a few months after I told you about him.”
“Couldn’t see past him being a pig?”
“Jesus,” Steph cackles around your name. “You know Grayson’s a cop, don’t you?”
“Detective,” Babs corrects. “Besides, we all knew it wouldn’t last. Steph’s had her sights set on Tim ever since he ditched her sophomore year.”
She blushes as if confirming Babs’ statement, “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. It’s ancient history, anyway.”
“Not from what I saw,” You add cheekily, referring back to how close she’d been with Tim and Conner on your mission to Cadmus. “Seems like you have two tall, dark, handsome men to keep you company now.”
“How the fuck did you catch onto my situationship so fast when it took you five years to notice the three men chasing after you?” Steph seems absolutely dumbfounded.
You ignore the dig, “Situationship?”
Steph sighs, “We fucked.”
You and Babs share shocked, if not impressed, looks.
“You and Timmy or all three of you?” The look she sends both of you answers everything. “Oh, no fucking way! Chrismukkah is going to have two Kryptonians now?”
 “Fuck you, Babs.”
“Seems like your dance card’s already pretty full, doll.”
The three of you cackle loud enough to finally be booted from the closing restaurant.
Outside, the three of you linger a bit longer as you wait for Tim to pick the three of you up.
“That’s odd,” He says as he fiddles with Barbra’s chair.
“Do you need help?” You stumble toward him to bear some of the wait, but he waves your tipsy self off with a laugh.
“Not the wheelchair,” As if to prove his point, he folds it easily and stows it away just as fast. “I just didn’t expect those tunnels to be under construction.”
You quirk a questing brow but easily follow his line of sight to the group of construction workers hauling materials some ways off.
“Tunnel talk,” You slur.
“Yes,” He nods in amusement. “I thought they’d been abandoned two or three years back, but I guess not.”
“TIMOTHYYY!!!” Stephanie whines from the front seat, banging against the window as if she’s trapped. “WAFFLE HOUSE.”
He laughs in response as he helps you into the car before climbing behind the wheel, “How much did you guys drink, anyway?”
“’nough to call you for a ride, Timbo,” Babs slurs from beside you in the backseat. She belches loudly, then pats you on the knee, “Bless you.”
“Thank you,” You nod back, completely, drunkenly serious.
“Jesus,” Tim mutters as he totes the three of you over to the greasy, breakfasty wonder that is Waffle House.
By the time you’ve scarfed down your order, you’re definitely feeling slightly more sober.
•••
As if they’d tried to stay up waiting for you, Jason’s slumped over on a sleeping Roy. You note with a hint of tipsy amusement that his fabled reading glasses have fallen onto Roy’s lap.
You slip past them quietly to get ready for bed. When you open the door to leave the bathroom, you’re startled to find Jason right there. Beyond him, you see Roy sleepily hanging back as he gets changed for bed.
Jason seems to take your response the wrong way and steps back to let you pass. You definitely didn’t like how he’d prevented you from leaving the closet, but right now, you’d been taken aback because you thought they’d still be asleep on the couch. That, coupled with secretly having finished off the box of pregnancy tests, you’re on a bit more edge than usual.
“Sorry,” You attempt, though his face has already fallen.
He sheepishly rubs at the back of his head, watching as you join Roy on the bed.
“Sorry,” He murmurs back eventually. It’s nearly loud enough for you to catch, yet nearly quiet enough to leave you wondering if you’d imagined it.
Though you really want to be an asshole and snuggle up extra to Roy, you avoid the petty temptation and drift off.
•••
There’s nothing beautiful about this morning.
Absolutely nothing, as you rest your head against the cold porcelain of the toilet, dry heaving whatever’s left in your gurgling stomach.
If it’s not even light out, can it really even be considered morning?
It’s to no one’s surprise that as soon as you bolted from the bed, your boyfriends worriedly, read: sleepily, followed behind.
“You okay, baby?” Roy yawns as he gathers your hair to hold back for you.
You look at him, then back at the destroyed toilet.
Jason’s deep morning voice grumbles sarcastically, “Can’t handle your alcohol anymore?”
He’s standing some way off, but he looks as if he’s waiting for your cue to come closer.
“Joker serum has nothing on vodka.”
He chortles and you startle at the noise, having expected a lecture or another fight. This is his olive branch. You take it.
“How are you feeling?”
“Like shit,” You sigh. “From the alcohol and the fight.”
“Same.”
“I hate when we fight,” He moves closer to your crumpled form on the floor to take your soft hands into his calloused ones.
“Same,” He breathes as if it’s a weight that’s finally been released. “I’m sorry.”
“I am, too.”
He squeezes your hands before helping you up, causing your stomach to flutter.
Jason gently tucks your hair behind your ears before offering you your toothbrush, “You know you called me like 10 times last night, right?”
Your brushing halts, “You’re fucking with me.”
Oh, shit. What the fuck had you said?
“’Jason, I want to suck your dick,’ ‘Jason, you’re such a cunt and I love you,’” He goes to say more, but you cut him off.
“Did not,” You smack his shoulder. “You’re such a fucking liar.”
“Bible, babe,” He holds up his hands as if he’s swearing in to cement it.
“Well,” You pout cutely before spitting out the toothpaste into the sink, “I do want to suck your dick and I do love you.”
“I love you, too.”
The two of you embrace, slowly moving to kiss away the remaining tension the other has caused.
His tender touch leads you back toward the bed and, upon contact, wakes its inhabitant.
“What’d I miss?” He asks as he blearily takes in Jason’s mouth devouring your own.
“Grab the lube, love,” Jason breaks away briefly to direct Roy.
“Apparently, a lot,” Roy mutters to himself as he reaches behind your tangled forms to get the lube from Jason’s nightstand. Roy pops the cap and helps rid Jason of his underwear. “This what you wanted, Jay? For me to stretch you out with my fingers?”
“You said you wanted to suck my dick, right?” Jason mirthfully smirks at you, referencing your drunk dial from the previous night.
“Always,” You slink down, tracing down his happy trail with one hand as you use the other to push him against the mattress. You place a light kiss right above his semi-hard cock before placing one on his bobbing tip.
You hear his breath stutter and it's all the encouragement you need to place a thick lick up the entirety of his excessive length.
“She’s been so good, Jay,” Roy makes a show of lubing up his index finger. “She deserves a treat, too, don’t you think?”
Jason groans, smacking lightly at your hip before motioning you to turn around.
With some help from both of them, you finally realize Roy wants you to 69. You straddle Jason’s lap backward until your thighs caress either side of his face. He jiggles your ass, parting it widely for his and Roy’s entertainment.
Roy gives each cheek a resounding smack before moving to settle between Jason’s thick thighs. From here, your face is inches away from Roy’s, something you use to your advantage as you draw him in for a messy kiss, biting his lower lip lightly as the two of you finally break apart.
Jason smacks your ass before using the tip of his tongue to teasingly trail along your wet folds.
“Fuck,” You breathe out, forehead resting against Roy’s freckled one as Jason finally makes contact with your clit.
Roy captures your lips for a moment longer before guiding your wet lips down to Jason’s aching member. Your mouth stretches across his girthy length while Roy’s lubed finger finally wiggles past Jason’s tight hole.
Jason lets out the most pathetic moan you’ve ever heard him muster. The vibrations of it echo across your trembling cunt.
You slow your pace on his cock as he pants pathetically against your pussy at Roy’s ministrations.
You watch in arousal as Roy’s freckled finger slowly curls inside before gliding in and out of Jason’s twitching hole.
“Such a whore, Jay. Taking my fingers like a greedy little slut. You already want another one, love?”
“Unh!” You deepthroat him before he can manage an answer. “Fuck. Please,” He begs.
Roy easily obliges with a wicked smirk. You have no choice but to kiss him.
You pull off Jason’s length with a ‘pop’ and a moan as your fingers tangle in Roy’s fiery locks. The kiss is sloppy, entirely too much tongue for what you usually like, but right now, it’s exactly what you need.
“I’ve never seen either of you so needy before,” Roy presses a chaste kiss to your swollen lips as he pulls away. When he does, you notice him fisting his cock and lean forward to spit on it before you can second-guess yourself. “Fuck, you’re so fucking hot, baby. So good to me, princess.”
You moan, eyes never leaving his as you salaciously arch down to take Jason back into your mouth. Roy uses this as an opportunity to stick another finger inside your boyfriend.
Jason’s hips snap off the mattress and deep into your throat at the addition
“Mph!” You gasp, nearly gagging as he fucks into your throat. Instead, you force him deeper, feeling tears sting at the corners of your eyes as his hips greedily rock into your tight mouth.
Your hair keeps getting in the way until Roy removes his hand from around his dick to grasp your hair. He uses the hold to pull your mouth from Jason to meet his lips in a dizzyingly erotic kiss. “Don’t leave our girl hanging, Jay.”
It’s all the reminder Jason needs to begin slurping at your syrupy cunt in fervor.
“Yes,” You moan against Roy’s chapped lips, feeling your hips sputter against his well-timed flicks and laps. You grind down against a particular swipe of his tongue, edging your clit against the delicious feeling Jason’s mouth produces.
Roy makes quick work of stretching Jason out as the two of you draw each other closer to orgasm. When Roy finally can’t take it, he grabs for your hand, which is wrapped around Jason’s girth, to drizzle lube in your hand.
You pull off his length, feeling as his cock bobs against your cheek. From there, you shift down and off Jason’s face to jack Roy off.
He fucks into your lubed grip desperately, whining like a slut as he bucks into your loose grip.
“I need to fuck you, Jay,” Roy’s voice is deep and gravelly as he takes in his lover’s pathetic state.
“Please,” Jason whines in response. Straddling Jason’s muscular torso, Roy fists your hair and tugs you in for a searing kiss as he presses into Jason’s tight hole. “Fuck, Roy. You’re so fucking big,” Jason’s hands have a death grip on the sheets around him as Roy fully settles inside of him.
“Au contraire,” Roy quips, breaking away with a string of saliva between the two of you, “I think you’re just extra tight for me, love.”
Jason’s too lost in the throws of pleasure to give him shit, but you’re not.
“Au contraire, Roy. Really?”
Roy snorts, quickly turning into a moan when Jason pushes down against him, “You’re such an asshole to me, baby.” You flip around on Jason, bending into Jason’s chest with your own to offer Roy a perfect view of said asshole. “That’s a nice fucking view, princess. I think I forgive you.”
Jason’s eyes are unfocused as he tugs you in for a shaky, breathy kiss as Roy begins to move inside of him. Your tits and ass jiggle obscenely with each thrust. Roy’s soft hands sink into the globes of your ass as his movements begin to pick up speed. Meanwhile, Jason cups your breasts, circling your nipples as he sinks further down on Roy’s cock.
“Ride me,” Jason’s wrecked voice requests when the two of you finally break apart for air.
You bite the corner of your mouth as you situate yourself above his cock, lining yourself up with his member. Roy’s metallic hand supports his weight on the bed beside Jason’s hip, with his freckled fingers trickle tauntingly up your torso. He grabs at your tits, playing with them for a bit as he slows his thrusts before finally moving lower.
Your entrance twitches over Jason’s tip as Roy expertly teases your cunt until you feel like you’re nearly about to come. Before you can, you sink down onto Jason’s length, bottoming out with a broken sigh that both men groan at.
“I can’t,” You shake your head, hands splayed across Jason’s abs as you will yourself to move. “I-“
“Yes, you can, baby,” Roy mutters against the side of your head as he thrusts into Jason again. “Ride him.”
It’s not a request, it’s a command.
You follow it, feeling all inhibitions release as you begin to rock against his cock. Roy’s fingers return to your clit as if wanting you to come prematurely. Your hips sputter as you grind against Jason’s dark happy trail, pressing Roy’s finger harder against your clit as you do.
Roy ducks his head to leave hickeys against your throat, only drawing you closer to your impending orgasm.
Ultimately, it’s Jason who comes first, emptying his load into your slick cunt with a wild buck and a wanton moan. You feel the warm stickiness slide out of your cunt and drip down his member as you milk his orgasm out of him until all he can muster are curses.
His rough hands clasp around your hips, stopping your bouncing, “Roy, please.”
Roy takes the hint and pulls out of Jason’s sensitive hole with an obscene squelch and a groan. Roy caresses his hand over Jason’s atop your hip, squeezing down as the three of you pant in tandem.
You slip off of Jason, sighing when you feel more of his load trickle out of your pussy and onto your thighs. Before you can question what to do next, you feel Roy’s greedy eyes on your come-filled cunt.
“Let me eat you out, baby.”
You fall to the mattress beside Jason, propping yourself up on your forearms to address Roy, “But I want you to come too.”
“Trust me,” Roy slinks closer with a mischievous glint behind his verdant eyes, “I will.” He parts your thick thighs with glee as he comes face-to-face with your creamy cunt.
Roy fists his cock in one hand, with the other planted beside you to steady himself as he dips down to devour you whole. Jason, who’s just come down from his orgasm, moves to scatter light kisses against your neck and chest, toying with your nipples as he does so.
It’s so heavenly, being filled and stuffed and with both your men taking care of you in all the ways you desperately need.
Jason wraps his arm around your shoulder as he lies beside you, drawing you closer against his side to kiss you deeper. Meanwhile, his other arm trickles lower to spread your pussy to grant Roy easier access to your aching folds. He only holds his hand there for so long before he’s drawing up your sensitive stomach, past the scar that lingers, back to your nipples.
You want to come so badly. You feel your orgasm building with each sensual touch they deliver against your vibrating skin.
A well-timed slurp from Roy, coupled with Jason sucking your tit into his mouth, leaves you arching off the mattress as you release against Roy’s wicked tongue, “FUCK!”
Roy groans, moving to jack himself off over your pussy, ultimately squirting out to mix with Jason’s and your own. He sucks in a sharp breath as the last spurt of come dribbles onto your cunt before shaking and falling on the other side of Jason.
It's still early in the morning by the time they’ve washed their come from you. Jason offers you the t-shirt he’d thrown to the ground as the three of you climb back into bed.
You fall back asleep only to be met by twisted visions of tunnels blowing up and crumbling cement.
Tim’s muddled words threaten to surface at the forefront of your mind, but the influence of the alcohol you’d been under easily suppresses it.
•••
Later that night, you’ve put Lian to sleep when Jason and Roy start gearing up.
“What’s going on?”
“Break in at Wayne Enterprise,” Jason throws you your suit.
You catch it easily, looking it over briefly before staring back up at his stripping form, “Why isn’t Bruce already on the scene?”
“He’s in Bialya with Damian.”
“And Dick?”
“Is on his way over right now to watch Lian,” Roy answers easily.
“Is anyone on the scene, then?” You rephrase your original question. With all of the Bat Family being out, it means you’ll have to hustle over there to get any good leads. The longer you wait, the harder the intruder will be to track.
“Guess we’ll find out soon enough,” Roy slings his quiver over his shoulders as the elevator doors open.
Dick gives him a quick hug before high-tailing it over to you, “No way! Is this the new suit?”
“Mhm,” You nod your head, showing off the fabric.
“Holy shit,” He nods appreciatively, looking the red suit over. “It looks really awesome. What name did you decide to go with- no, wait,” He places a pensive hand on his chin, “Red Devil?” You shake your head no, beaming under your mask at his enthusiasm. “Dominatrix?” He winks cheekily.
“Alright,” Jason places a possessive arm around your waist, tugging you away from his brother. “Enough with the guessing games- we’ve got to get a move on.”
“Well,” Dick calls after the three of you, “don’t leave me in suspense!”
“Cardinal,” You offer as you step onto the elevator.
You see him nod appreciatively before the doors slip shut behind the three of you.
•••
Luke greets the three of you as you come upon the scene.
Strangely enough, the metal vault you’d noticed on your first visit has been blown wide open. Whatever was inside the room is long gone now and, in its place, a single white feather has been placed in the center of the room.
“What was in here?” You’ve been dying to know ever since coming upon the mysterious door. The outside still clearly reads ‘All Rights Reserved Clean Energy Project, LLC.,’ something both Arsenal and Red Hood immediately notice.
“A microwave emitter.”
You glance back curiously at Arsenal and Red Hood, but neither seems to understand either.
“What does this emitter do?” Arsenal asks as he bends down to examine the feather closer.
“It was designed for desert warfare,” Luke states gravely. “It uses long waves that create a…” He trails off, arms moving sporadically as he thinks of the words, “microburst of sorts via long wavelengths.”
Arsenal appears grave at the news, but you and Red Hood are still visibly in the dark.
“What the fuck does that mean?”
Luke clears his throat, looking over at Red Hood warily, “It was meant to be used to vaporize an enemy’s water supply.”
Questions rattle around your mind as you attempt to connect dots that you don’t understand in the slightest. The most pressing one being: why does Wayne Enterprise even have this tech in the first place?
“We found evidence of this machine when we broke into Cadmus a few weeks back,” Red Hood fills Luke in on your previous discovery. “The feather, however, seems entirely random.”
“So, what did Cadmus want with it?” You ask, with the question alone producing 50 more in its wake.
The four of you look at each other with concern.
“That,” Luke looks up at the ceiling as if contemplating the question for the first time, “I’m not sure.”

The Arrowfamily Is Comically Terrible at Secret Identities
I’ve mentioned a few times that I headcanon that the Arrowfam doesn’t actually have functional secret identities but think they do, but that’s...basically canon. So I figured I’d share the evidence!
There’s a lot of evidence.
Ollie has never been stupendous at maintaining a secret identity, but the whole thing fell apart completely in 1989, when the CIA asked Oliver Queen to assist them with a case. Ollie agreed, but wanted to know how they knew he was Green Arrow:
Tumblr media
Please note that he’s talking to a CIA agent here. This man deals in information, and Ollie’s identity was so obvious he didn’t even realize it was a secret. Incredible.
Tumblr media
Absolutely one of the funniest things Ollie has ever said. Bless his heart.
And when Ollie finally suits up for the mission...
Tumblr media
...he decides not to put on the mask. He continues to not bother with it until his death, so for another five years.
(Dinah also seems to drop her secret identity around this time, though it’s not commented on. She pretty much continues not to have one to this day.)
But what about his boys?
Well, Roy is a government agent in the late 80s and 90s, and "Agent Harper’s” former life as a sidekick is no secret:
Tumblr media
You could argue that Roy’s file is classified and so no one outside of Checkmate/the CBI knows it, but that’s pretty clearly not true. First of all, every babysitter Lian has ever had has known both of Roy’s identities. Second, by 1998, he’s wearing this costume:
Tumblr media
No mask. Just occasional sunglasses. Please note Vic dunking on him for them. (This whole exchange is golden. “You’re not supposed to say his name” lololol.)
And then there’s Connor, who wears a mask, but doesn’t seem to realize that it’s for anything other than decoration and tradition. Here he is introducing himself by name while in costume:
Tumblr media
(This is one of my all-time favorite Connor panels, by the way. “Are you Robin Hood?” “I’m his son.” Just shoot me in the heart, why don’t you?)
And in case you’re thinking, well, that’s a child, who’s she going to tell...here’s Connor being totally unconcerned about being addressed by his real name while in costume while on television:
Tumblr media
It’s hard to convey with just a few panels here and there, but I want to make this very clear: from at least 1994 to 2001, Roy and Connor simply did not have secret identities. They walked around in costume without masks, sometimes with a jacket on top if it was chilly but clearly not to hide the costume. They introduced themselves by name while in costume and by codename while out of it. Heroes with secret identities (Dick, Kyle, etc.) had to remind them to be discreet when they were hanging out together. Literally every supporting character in both of their books knew who they really were, including villains. They weren’t super public figures, but they weren’t hiding things, either.
(Connor’s existence also really reinforces that Ollie never had a good secret identity, because he always knew Ollie was his father, which according to the timeline of that era means that Moonday saw Green Arrow on TV one day and said “Huh, that’s the guy who got me pregnant.”)
And then Ollie comes back. Now, when he returns from the dead he has amnesia for basically everything after his road trip with Hal in the 70s, which means he doesn’t remember getting rid of his mask, and he certainly doesn’t know that Roy and Connor were running around identity-less for years while he was dead. None of that makes this scene any less funny:
Tumblr media
Mia has encountered both Green Arrow and Oliver Queen exactly once each and she instantly knows they’re the same person. Like the scene with the CIA agent, this scene is important because it establishes not that Ollie’s identity is known, but that it is easy to know. HE IS OBVIOUSLY GREEN ARROW. IF HE DOES NOT CHANGE HIS BEHAVIOR, HE WILL ALWAYS BE OBVIOUSLY GREEN ARROW.
(Spoiler: he does not change his behavior.)
A couple storylines later, Ollie becomes inexplicably obsessed with his secret identity. You know, the one he doesn’t have.
Tumblr media
This is Ollie standing at his own grave. [Insert Grant Gustin meme here.] He is there to meet Clark and ask him who attended his funeral. Clark provides him with paparazzi photos, and Ollie absolutely freaks the fuck out because he doesn’t recognize one of the attendees, and why would someone he doesn’t know be at his funeral? Maybe they know his secret???
Oliver. THERE IS AN ARROW ON YOUR TOMBSTONE AND IT SAYS “ALWAYS MADE THE RIGHT ENEMIES.” YOU DIED IN A HELICOPTER EXPLOSION. WHAT FUCKING SECRET?
Like. Archer’s Quest is an idiotic storyline and riddled with character assassination, but the fact that Ollie is upset that a stranger was at his funeral when the paparazzi, who are presumably also strangers, were also there is extra dumb. But my Archer’s Quest rant is a separate post.
Anyway, Ollie and Roy decide to go on a road trip to find various things that may or may not compromise Ollie’s secret identity. Before they set out, Ollie gives Roy a present:
Tumblr media
This makes me laugh so hard. It’s so fucking stupid. Truly what do you think that is going to do, Ollie? Is it a magic mask? If Roy puts it on, will it give the entire world amnesia? That cat is FULLY out of the bag, my friends!
It’s also funny because eight months later, Roy switched to this costume:
Tumblr media
This one doesn’t even have sunglasses! Screw you, Ollie!
Oh, and just in case you think that Mia is better about all of this because she’s seen how obvious Ollie is...nope.
Tumblr media
That is Mia making a trick arrow IN SHOP CLASS while loudly talking to Roy about the Fortress of Solitude on the phone. And then Bart shows up IN COSTUME to take her to a Teen Titans mission and it’s pretty clear that she is not at all concerned about the impact this will have on her secret identity. So yeah, she’s just as bad as the rest of them.
(Yes, Roy did steal a Phantom Zone arrow from the Fortress of Solitude as a teenager and then gift it to Mia a decade later. I love him.)
But then Identity Crisis happened, and all of a sudden everyone had to be super duper worried about their secret identity, even people who had not had one since 1989. And thus we get a hilariously dumb storyline where the Arrowfamily’s house gets blown up and Ollie spirals into hysterics about it:
Tumblr media
If the next words out of Hideous Wally’s mouth weren’t going to be “...have a secret identity,” I will be so disappointed in him. EVERYONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE, OLIVER.
Connor is not exempt from the hysterics, which is in a lot of ways even funnier because he never had a secret identity:
Tumblr media
Well, gee, Connor, maybe you shouldn’t have told every single person you met your real name for seven years! Maybe that would have helped!
(This is all triply funny because these histrionics are being written by Judd Winick, who was simultaneously writing Roy the Maskless Wonder over in Outsiders.)
I’m assuming this was all intended to be a soft retcon and we just...weren’t supposed to remember or notice that the Arrowfam didn’t have secret identities once they started caring about them again. But again: it was firmly established not once but twice that Ollie’s secret identity can be detected by literally just looking at him, Roy’s ID is a matter of public record, and the amount of government agents, supervillains, and utter randos scattered around the world who know at least one Arrowfam ID is literally uncountable. And Oliver is still publicly dating Black Canary, Green Arrow’s girlfriend. And yet they still think they have secret identities.
In conclusion: they’re stupid and I love them, your honor. And this is why I choose to believe that everyone in Star City 100% knows who every single member of the Arrowfamily is and they are just allowing them to keep their illusions out of affection for their dumb, melodramatic, ridiculous superheroes.

Ask Game: Roy Harper 3,12,25
Please and Thank You! ☺️
Hii!! Thank you for the ask!
3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?
Okay I'm gonna avoid obvious answers/things that were circumstantial (new 52, the death of Lian, etc) and try to say something about him as a character I dislike... this is tough. There's not much about him I dislike honestly. There are some times in comics where he's a little... I guess 'excessive' would be the word? A few moments that have made me just 😬. He very much doesn't sugarcoat or hold back when he's talking to someone, and he's very forward, too. He says the first thing that's on his mind a lot of the time and, while generally I find it endearing, there have been a few moments that have made me cringe. Also, while I don't think Roy's entirely to blame for it since as I mentioned on this post I generally believe Roy didn't see the issue, Garth's resentment towards him is justified.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
I've already answered this before, so here's a copypaste :)
I think he's always moving. Just absolutely will not be still for more than five minutes. Drumming his fingers on the desk during meetings, pacing around the room when he's waiting for something, tapping his feet whenever music comes on. If Roy's in the room, unless he's trying to be stealthy, you'll know from the sounds of him moving around. He's the first one dancing at parties, he's drumming the beat to We Will Rock You on the table, he's this constant presence that you just can't help but notice because of how much space he takes up without even trying. Also he was one of those "chewing on toothpicks" guys in his Agent Harper days. Everyone thought he was trying to be cool, but in reality he just Loathed that he needed to stand still and be professional so chewing a toothpick was the best alternative.
Also, while he's trained himself out of the habit now, he was absolutely a pencil chewer when he was a teenager. Not all of the pencils he chewed belonged to him.
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
I've mentioned this before, but my introduction to Roy was, unfortunately, through Red Hood and the Outlaws, so my first thoughts of him were Jason Todd's best friend/the comic relief side character (and I was a Jayroy shipper...)
My impression now: he's genuinely one of the most fascinating characters to read ever. He's someone who just won't give up, won't back down. No matter what happens, he'll always get back up which, sure, isn't that uncommon in the superhero genre but the way Roy does it is just *so* interesting, he's the epitome of a survivor, but he's also constantly underestimating himself or holding himself up to Dick's standards/comparing himself to Dick. He's a character who overcame drug addiction and went on to be an amazing leader and role model for younger heroes and inspire teenagers with histories of drug abuse that they could be great, that their past doesn't define them. He's a single father trying his goddamn hardest even if he doesn't know what he's doing a lot of the time, because he loves Lian more than anything else in the world. And he loves so wholly, so completely, both platonically and romantically. If he loves you once, he will love you forever, he's given everyone second third and fourth chances even when they hurt him. And he means so much to me.

Summary: Jade has brought Lian to the only person she could think of to protect her now that Roy is dead: Damian al Ghul.
[Context: this is set in my AU where Damian has adopted a bunch of Villain's kids. The 11yr old mentioned is Zoe Lawton.
TW: there are allegations to postpartum depression and abortion but nothing explicit.]
"You can't be serious. Nguyen, this is insane."
"There is no one else. She is not safe with me."
Damian took a sharp breath through his nose in frustration as he stared Cheshire down. She looked ragged. Tired in a way he had never seen her before, though unless you had known her for as long as he had you would never be able to tell.
In her arms was a bundle. Small, wrapped in a pink fuzzy blanket. Damian knew what that bundle was, and as he had just stated, it was asinine for her to have brought it to him of all people.
"What about, Queen? If the child is truly Harper's like you claim her to be, would it not make more sense for her to be with her adopted Grandfather?" Damian tried to reason.
Jade gave him a hard look. "Do you truly wish me to entrust the safety of my only child to Oliver Queen?
Okay, Damian could at least concede that Queen being given access to an infant was a horrible idea. Especially so fresh after he and Canary have split for what he assumed was the umpteenth time.
"I just don't understand why you would bring her to me. I can not be your first choice."
"Of course not," Jade snapped. "My first choice is dead."
Damian could admit he felt a modicum of guilt at invoking the thought of Roy Harper's demise. Especially as he was seemingly to be given the privilege of being the first to meet his daughter, when by all rights it should have been him.
"You aren't even my second choice," she continued.
"Who was?"
"Jason."
"Todd?" Damian asked.
It would make sense, he supposed. From what he understood he, Harper and Jade had all had some form of… arrangement. Harper being the focal point. Damian had only witnessed Jason and Harper together once, but they had looked so disgustingly in love that he made sure to never have to be in the same room with them again, if he could help it.
Grimly, he thought that would no longer be a problem.
But the problem with Jason being her second choice is that shortly before Harper's death, he and Father had some falling out in regards to the Penguin and he went off grid. Damian wasn't even sure if he knew his lover was no longer living.
"Yes, Jason." She said, "but though hard as I try I can not find him."
Damian sighed. "I'm not surprised. When Todd wants to disappear he makes sure that even Father can't find him. But I still don't understand the logic of me being your third choice."
Jade laughed bitterly. "Do you not understand, Little Prince?"
Damian winced. She had not called him that since they had been in the League.
"You are not my third choice. You are my only choice. There is no one else. I have no one else to trust."
The pair shared a long look amidst the silence of the cold night air.
"The Justice League would help you, Jade." He said, softly. It was not often he showed others this kindness. But he knew deep in his bones the hysterical and bitter feeling of having no one to trust. No one to rely on. It was part of the reason he had gone about collecting his little band of misfits. So at least he could be someone to trust, even partly.
Jade scoffed as she tightened her arms around her daughter.
"Please," she spat. "Like they protected Roy? Or Jason? Or you?
Damian had to look away from her glare.
"The Justice League can not even protect their own children! I can not- will not- entrust them to protect mine."
"But why me?" He shouted, demanding to know what the woman was thinking. "I'm seventeen. I live with a handful of other teenagers and an eleven year old. We don't even stay in one place for more than a few weeks. Not to mention that said eleven year old is also being hunted because of her connection to her father. Your child will not be any safer from your enemies with me, Jade."
"Perhaps not. But she will be safe from me."
Damian felt a growing sense of unease as he saw a deep hollowness take over Jade's eyes. He didn't have to wait long for her to elevorate.
"Sometimes she just… cries. And cries and cries and one night I- I almost- I could have-" she took a shuddering breath. Damian had never seen her this shaken. " I thought I could do this. I thought I could love her enough to be what she needed. But I'm not… I'm not built for this. For the… softness that she needs. It's just not in me."
Damian felt his heart twinge as he watched a single tear trickle from her eye.
"I tried. We're she anyone's but his… I would have terminated. But I… I couldn't bear to bring myself to kill the last part of him that remained in this world. I tried for her, for Roy, but… I'm just not built to take care of anyone but myself."
Damian opened his mouth to say something. What, he didn't know. But he felt she deserves to hear something.
She, however, interrupted him.
"But you are," she said, her voice nearly more than a whisper. Then stronger, " I have known you since you were a boy. I have witnessed you in many parts of your life. And what you have always demonstrated, without ever giving it conscious thought, is your ability to care for those you consider under your protection. Those you consider your own."
"My brother's would very much disagree with you."
Her lips twitched upwards. "You are a good man, Damain al Ghul. You always have been. Even all those years ago. I know that you will guard my child with your life. And that you will take the life of others in her defense, should you find it necessary."
Damian felt his shoulders sag in defeat.
"I still don't think this is a good idea. What exactly is your plan?"
Knowing she had won, Jade drew her shoulders back.
"Find Jason," she said, authoritatively. "He is who she has left now."
"And if he won't take her? Or if… he can't?"
"Do whatever you have to do to keep her safe."
Damian sighed for what seemed to be the hundredth time that night. "I supposed that's all I really can do."
He lifted his arms towards her to take the child.

The Unfortunate State Of The Arrowfam
With some old characters coming back it's fun to look back at the way the new 52 destroyed Oliver Queens family
Post Crisis family
Tumblr media
Oliver Queen had a weird one with the new 52 was he basically just loses all his history and goes back to being beardless, and halfway through they decided his dad actually had a bunch of history, but I'll get to that in a minute
Tumblr media
Dinah Laurel Lance got it rough with the new 52 having wiped out her history, doing the opposite of what it did for Oliver and mixed her and her mom into one, giving a weird husband situation with Kurt Lance, so we know she didn't just marry her dad, she doesn't really meet Green Arrow until after the new 52 ended
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Roy and Lian Harper had it real bad in cry for justice, and unfortunately neither a wave of life bringing white lanterns power, nor resetting the timeline could bring Lian back, instead we just got Ollie and Roy not talking to eachother and we never really know why
Tumblr media
Mia Dearden, poor poor Mia
Tumblr media
Sin was Dinah's adopted daughter who was raised to be the next lady Shiva, but in order to keep the league of assassin's from trying to find her Connor Hawke left her at a monastery after taking her death, and it kinda seemed like they forgot about her
And
Tumblr media
It wasn't until after the new 52 ended that Connor was suggested to be back, only under the control of Merlyn, that went nowhere, and now we're here
Honorable Mentions
Tumblr media
Eddie Fyers, while he hung out with Ollie for a while that didn't quite last, he's more there for Connor, but still counts, he showed up after new 52 as a random assassin
Tumblr media
His mayoral staff that knew his identity as Green Arrow and worked to help preserve his "secret" identity, also fun Robin Hood reference of names
Tumblr media
Shado ended up getting totally redone as well with her romantic interest with Oliver has been replaced by time with his father, it would be real awkward for both her children to exist at the same time, Robert this is your sister/aunt, now go play nice kids
