Thank you guys so much! I don't think that 150 is much to other creators here on Tumblr but i am absolutely SPEECHLESS. 150 People deemed my blog good enough to follow and im thankful for every single one of you pookies! You guys motivated me to continue writing, and you may not know me well yet, but i suck at continuing things i started- So chapeau to you guys!!

I wanted to make 150 headcanons at first, but when i began writing, i realized that i was a bit too confident haha. I hope 15 headcanons are alright too though! Once again, thank you so, so much! <3

SO! Here's how the headcanons work:

These are headcanons about Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, 5 each. Genderneutral Reader.

1st: What they like about you physically 2nd: Their favorite activity with you 3rd: Something you helped them accomplish 4th: Their favorite clothing piece/outfit on you 5th: Something they like about your sex life

Max Verstappen MV1

He likes your hands a lot, whether it’s when you guide him through a crowd with your hand on his back, or the way you softly brush against his knuckles under the table while visiting friends for dinner. He loves your soft, innocent touches. The way you hold his arm or give him a reassuring squeeze has him melting.

His favorite thing to do with you is stay at home and cook something together while his cats circle your legs in hopes of a treat. You can bet that you two will be baking a lot during festive times like Christmas or other holidays. "Oh Max, come here. You have a bit of flour on your nose", you say as you wipe it off and press a peck to his lips.

It used to be a challenge for Max to talk about his feelings, especially about his negative ones. Even if he still has a hard time doing that, he now know that he has someone who will listen and support him. His worries are valid and he loves that you taught him that.

Max loves it when you wear a comfortable, but fancy outfit to sit in a yacht club and sip champagne with him. His arm around your shoulder while you two talk and laugh under a clear night. He won't be able to take his eyes off of you!

During your more intimate times, it drives him crazy when you choke him. Even if only lightly, having you in power turns him on, because in every other situation he is seen as THE dominating force. If only others knew how whiny he can get. 'Please y/n, please', his voice sounded weak and desperate.

Lando Norris LN4

Lando loves your eyes, no matter what color. He catches himself getting lost in them very often, but he absolutely loves it. You’re focused, Lando sneakily gawks at your eyes and when you turn your head to look at him, he quickly looks away and flushes. The only thing he can mutter is 'You're pretty', while his face turns redder by the second.

He absolutely loves to get comfy on the couch and watch your favorite movies together. You sitting between his legs, while he rubs your back, paired with hot chocolate and a few snacks, makes him the happiest man alive.

Lando learned a lot from you. Not that he was stupid before, but the things you talk about intrigue him, so he asks about it and is willing to learn more. Like this man did not know that manatees eat 7-15% of their body weight each day, but now he does.

His favorite clothing pieces on you are his hoodies since he has a whole collection of them. It’s the typical high school scenario of stealing your boyfriends hoodies.

The brit’s favorite thing in the bedroom is soft sex. Not that your ‘wilder’ nights aren’t good too, but he loves having passionate, sweet, and soft sex after a rough day. Gentle moans and sweet whispers rung trough the air, as Lando brushed his finger over your thighs. 'Love you', he adoringly looked into your eyes.

Oscar Piastri OP81

Oscar adores your hair. Whenever you two are laying on your bed, he gently runs his fingers through it. Or when you get up in the morning, hair all messed up, he loves to brush it for you, while leaving gentle kisses on your shoulders.

The Aussie loves going out with you. Not the typical restaurant date, but for example going to the Aquariums or visiting a Museum together. He'd also take you along to an art Exhibition or the Zoo. 'Look at this one!', he pulled you towards an Aquarium full of beautiful sharks.

Oscar learned to be more vocal about his needs and wants. Sure, he is still reserved, but he is now more comfortable with coming out of his shell. You are the most empowering being in his life and showed him that it's ok to need and demand things.

His favorite outfit on you are your pajamas. A big, loose tee with a pair of shorts or whatever you usually wear and this man’s heart is doing somersaults. He loves the casual, cozy you, snuggled up to him on the couch while it's absolutely pouring down outside.

Oscar loves when you mark him up. His pale skin reddens quickly when you suck, nibble or full on bite it. He won't admit it out loud, but waking up in the morning with your marks all over his body does it for him. You appear behind him, wrapping your arms around his torso which is littered with love bites. He groans lightly as you trace your fingers over the red spots.

MC who believes they’re going back home (Vampire AU) - Lilia, Idia, Leona, Vil

Lilia:

You would probably try your best to avoid saying things like this around Lilia because of both the awkwardness and the fear that he’ll misinterpret things.

He’d end up overhearing you say this to others sometime and his reaction is definitely ambivalence. While Lilia does feel guilty for keeping you at the mansion, he knows the guilt is worth protecting everyone.

He wouldn’t be angry or anything at your words, he understands your reaction is completely natural. If this is at a point where the two of you have gotten closer, he may feel a bit upset that you’re so desperate to leave everyone behind, but he’s aware enough to realize it’s pretty much his fault.

Lilia would approach you to talk and explain that, while he doesn’t feel comfortable just letting you go right now, he’s willing to compromise and give you some more freedom than before, like chaperoned trips.

He’d ask what else he could do to make your life comfortable and make you happy, other than letting you go. Lilia would do anything in his power, spoiling you with gifts and luxuries. He would also try and send Silver to comfort you, because he knows you would rather be around his son than him.

He’d also be willing to promise you that one day you would be allowed to leave, even if it isn’t soon, but he hopes that you will at least come back and visit them occasionally, even though he knows you rightfully resent him.

Idia:

Idia would be pretty down whenever you bring it up, going from being normal around you (since he’s gotten used to you) to suddenly closing up sullenly when you start talking about going home.

Not many of the residents can tolerate him for too long, so he pretty much relies on you and Ortho to keep him company and not become a complete recluse.

Idia is far from delusional and, given his own experiences of feeling trapped, understands your desire to leave and live a normal life again where you have freedom.

That said, it’s hard when one of the only people who actually likes him and who he doesn’t get anxiety hanging around wants to leave.

This kind of talk, while rationally he knows has nothing to do with him, is pretty upsetting for him to hear because he feels like he’s not enough for you to stick around.

He can also be pretty blunt about it, telling you to be realistic and that it’ll be a long time (if ever) before you leave. Also isn’t afraid of weaponizing his little brother against you by telling Ortho to ask if you’ll keep playing games with them forever to guilt you.

It’ll probably be a big source of conflict between you, until you’re able to actually sit down and have a conversation about why he’s saying these things and why he feels this way.

Leona:

Leona is similar to Idia in that, while he’s smart enough to understand that your feelings are valid, he also can’t help but feel annoyed at your desperation to leave.

He thought the two of you had gotten pretty close and it feels like a bit of a slap in the face when you’re willing to talk about how happy you’d be to leave while simultaneously cuddling beside him.

When Leona is feeling rejected or hurt by your words, he’s quick to become more cold and dismissive, pushing you away when you try and touch him affectionately.

You don’t seem like you’ll miss him when you leave, so why should he allow you to touch him now?

If you keep pushing the issue, he’ll probably start mocking you, saying what a naive little herbivore you are for thinking you’ll ever escape. Unfortunately, Leona is hardly forward about his true feelings so you’ll pretty much have to be the bigger person here.

He’ll stay grumpy for a while unless you’re able to catch on to his feelings being hurt and properly comfort him by saying you’d want him to come with you or that you would be willing to stay with him.

Vil:

At this point, Vil is just getting to know you, so he doesn’t respond with the same vitriol as some of the other residents.

He’s pretty neutral about it, he understands your reasoning and thinks it’s understandable, although it does annoy him a little when you constantly bring it up, completely oblivious to the change in mood from your friends.

Vil sees how upset you make Epel when you talk about leaving, so he’s willing to have a private conversation with you about it later. He explains that while he understands, it would be nice for you to spare the feelings of others.

If you argue back, I think Vil would begin to point out that, while it definitively sucks that you can’t leave, other than that you have a good life. You don’t have to work, Lilia gets you everything you want, you get to spend endless time with people that care about you. That’s much more than other people can say.

He would just emphasize to you that while the situation isn’t ideal, all you can do is make the best of the situation and not spend all your time dwelling on leaving.

Although his words may seem harsh, they come from a place of maturity and care for both you and the others. Vil would offer to try and get you more freedom with Lilia, taking you to his filming sets when they’re nearby enough, bringing you back souvenirs, etc.

alright, so...

i'm gonna be honest since i found @bugbytez13 's blog welt sickfic ideas don't want to leave my head LMAO except i will write a detailed description of a fic instead of the fic itself. that's it that's the post

tbh this ramble in particular could be made into two separate fanfics (one sickfic and one specifically about the nightmares) but shh

i will forever be self conscious or anxious about things i post that aren't just headcanons or silly little rambles, but also... writing this went surprisingly smoothly so! enjoy the essay or something idk HAHA

so, about welt...

i just know this man is going to force himself to stay awake. maybe his self-sacrificing issues are less present now, and he doesn't immediately throw himself in danger in every fight ever, but he's still stubborn as hell. so he won't admit something is wrong. he won't admit that maybe getting way too little sleep several days in a row wasn't doing wonders for his immune system and he's now finally feeling the consequences. to be fair, he expected it might end like this, but he didn't want to take breaks - there's still too many things to take care of before they finally head to penacony. and now, he will still insist of taking care of everything, even though his body is basically begging him to go take a nap.

except maybe, he didn't even expect it to get this bad. or thought that he can just power through it. i mean, he's been through much worse, right? this is nothing compared to literally losing his body for some time. but he's sitting in the parlor car, and he's half awake, and unusually cold, and his head is hurting, and keeping up the act is getting harder and harder - but he has to, because the younger members of the crew are here too, even if only march is talking to him.

but they pick up on the fact that something is wrong, of course they do. his eyes are unfocused, he looks like he's about to fall asleep - or pass out - and march had to repeat herself twice for him to even fully process what she was asking him, and so suddenly stelle is next to him, attempting to touch his forehead - and he recoils. "i'm fine," he says, and it's probably a bit too quick and a bit too firm than he'd like it to be, and all of this is stupid, really, because he shouldn't be scared of someone touching him. how hot can it really be anyway if he's feeling so cold, right? but if that wasn't enough dan heng asks an even more dreaded question, "are you sure, mr yang? do you want us to call himeko?" and welt decides it's time to excuse himself, before he makes them even more worried. because even in his present state, he can pick up on the fact they're concerned, but at the same time unsure of what to do, and it makes him feel guilty. of course they're unsure; he's usually their caretaker, and he always knows what to do, and it should never be the other way around. he should've just stayed in his room all day, shouldn't he.

"thank you all for your concern, but i'm alright." he stands up. "now, please excuse me, i still have some work to do." of course that's true, but he's almost certain he won't be able to focus on that- but he just needs an excuse to get out from here and be left alone anyway.

but stelle is right next to him, and looking determined to accompany him to his room, too. "you look like you're about to fall, mr yang," they explain, and he wants to insist that he's okay once again, but realizes he's too tired to do so. it would take him at least a few minutes, and it's a few minutes he doesn't have nearly enough energy for. he just wants to finally lie down. so, he lets stelle essentially escort him into the hallway and to his bedroom, and make sure he doesn't collapse on his way there, and-- it's embarassing, honestly, because it's already so difficult for him to show himeko the slightest hints that something might be wrong, and right now the situation is similar but ten times worse - so it's also ten times harder for him to come to terms with the fact he needs to rely on someone.

"my... apologies for making you all worry," he says quietly when they reach his room, and he's so thankful that he left the lights off, because the parlor car was way too bright, and though the hallway was a bit better, it still wasn't good.

"it's alright," stelle shakes her head, and stands there in the doorway, even as he heads towards his bed and sits down. "i'll ask himeko to check up on you in a bit?" she asks, and he only nods, though he isn't sure if she can actually see it. he doesn't want to talk anymore, he doesn't want to think because even just that seems to make his headache worse, he just wants stelle to leave, he just wants to sleep-- he isn't even sure if he understood her question correctly, but he also doesn't have the energy to care. he falls asleep the moment the door closes behind her, fully clothed and half covered with a thick blanket, but even then he isn't allowed a peaceful rest.

memories from old battles flash before his eyes, silhouettes of enemies he once fought, those against whom he won - but also of those who severly injured or even killed him, and with that come the memories of the pain

and the fear of losing his body again.

when he finally awakens, sweating, shaky for reasons other than his fever, and still feeling pretty awful, it takes him longer than usual to remember where he is. it takes him longer than usual to remember that he's safe.

but now there's medicine and a thermometer on his nightstand, and a note written in himeko's neat handwriting - though he actually spots and reads it some time later - telling him to rest as much as he needs to, because she'll take care of everything; and only after he does read it and feels a sense of relief come over him, he realizes how much the thought of having to leave all the work in order to take a break actually stressed him out. he still feels bad about it, because of course he does, and of course he's going to apologize to everyone later.

but he's also able to sleep more peacefully now.

Please don‘t change your writing style and story for something as minor as a „fucking stoner“ (I love your response to that user btw, very diplomatic, very polite) because your writing is something that you enjoy, your story is your own creation and quite honestly, making the teens have a bit of weed (even though he didn’t) makes some of the stories somewhat more relatable in my opinion. I think I saw you interacting with the author of Third From The Son and they put that in their first work and I was shocked when I first read it, but it gave such a…casual vibe to their characters (not that the story is casual in any other way, but I digress, it’s still great). I mean, as long as you don‘t write about some heinous stuff or anything and especially as long as you tagged your fic appropriately (which you did) and put warnings in the notes (which you do) I don‘t think anyone should have any right telling you what to write or not write about, especially in such a rude way.

Sorry, I don‘t know if you like strangers on tumblr writing you stuff or if you‘d rather keep to your mutuals, I just sent an ask a bit ago, I was already pondering about doing that, but I felt really bad reading that comment, I hope you don‘t take that personally, it‘s solely the user‘s issue with a bit of weed I guess and they were really rude about that when the solution to their problem would have been to simply swipe away from your work.

It's disheartening to get such a comment, because if one person is commenting their displeasure, the actual figure of readers who dislike it is probably higher. (Big dip in comments for this chapter too, but that might have other reasons as well ofc :3)

You mention that scene in @thedawningofthehour!! Oh yeah, I see you there! It was the same for me! It also helped me notice that "marvelization" of storytelling, the santized-for-commercials purity that's been prominent in most media to maximize profits. It's explaining some of that cinematic blandness to me. Fanworks are free, we can do what we want. xD

I knew it was illegal, but if I had educated myself better on the public image of weed in the States, I might have approached the scene differently.

Though I already depicted graphic violence, and showed Donnie injecting drugs to change his genetic make-up. It's a little bizarre to shy away from "oh, he grew weed at some point".

Hello!! Okay so ROs reaction to MC being asked out in front of them..? (crushing stage vs. relationship stage)

I don’t really think any of them except for ??? would interject during the crush stage. While they would be sad, they wouldn’t feel like it’s their place to interject because they aren’t dating the MC. They would only interject if MC looked uncomfortable, but that’s about it. So this will just be for when you’re in the relationship stage. (Except for ???)

Liviana- In a relationship, through gritted teeth, she would calmly and politely tell them you're already taken. And then complain about it for the rest of the day, because how dare someone try to flirt with the queen’s lover!

Amare- He would watch the exchange in pure amusement, and interrupt the other person by flirting, or wrapping an arm around you if you’re comfortable with that. He’d be touchy and shameless to make the other person uncomfortable and back off. After the other person leaves, he’d laugh it off and joke about how they thought they could ‘compete’ with him. But feel free to give him some validation and reassurance, he’d probably feel a little nervous after this encounter.

Estelle- She’d simply stare down the other person, attempting to intimidate the other person so they’ll go away. If that doesn’t work, she’d probably either drag you away or mumble in your ear that she would like to exit this conversation as soon as possible. She would normally be more confrontational about it, but she would like to keep her job, thanks.

Ellery- I think he’d be pretty mature about it, haha. Depending on how he’s feeling that day, he’d either stand back and watch, sizing the person up to make sure they’re not a danger to you, or he’d just drag you away from them as quickly as he could. He’s not good with confrontation. He’d tease you about it, asking if he could compete with them or if he should set you two up.

???- Prayers for the person who made this one mad. Crushing, or relationship, they’d attempt to scare the other person away, maybe they’d whisper a threat into the other person’s ear, or just simply give them a sly smile as their eyes trail over the other person, sizing them up. They’re quick to take you away from the other person, and most likely will try to impress you afterward to make you forget about the other person. Maybe they’ll take you somewhere new or buy you an item you could never find on Earth. This one has a problem with possessiveness, haha. They believe your eyes should only be on them 24/7 and can get all grumpy if you’re attention is elsewhere for too long.😅

I'm not sure if this was any good or not, haha. 😅 This is my first scenario ask so I might be a bit rusty, I hope it sufficed, though!

How goes the fma x albedo fic? I hope that doesn't sound pushy, I'm genuinely curious. And in that vein, do you have any little drabbles you may have written or want to write? Especially with your recent kny ocs/yourself and your siblings. That'd be super fun to read about! Your art AND your writing is so freaking good, the moment I see you've posted something new on your blog I'm clicking it so fast. Same with your ao3 account ❤️

Currently not working on any fics, since I just came out of 10 weeks of summer research where my days began at 8 am and ended at 9 pm for probably less than minimum wage hahaha (doing research is a Bit Sad but I get a whole month to relax before classes start again so thank goodness for that)

Plans include but are not limited to:

Finally working on Homuncular Nature again!! I definitely do have a lot of plans and cool scenes playing out in my head for the next chapter, it’ll just come down to when I actually put pen to paper (or stylus to iPad) to actually organize and write them all. The road block I think is that I have seen neither Albedo nor fmab very recently and all my concrete ideas are for around the 30 episode mark for fmab, the turning point with the first actual confrontation against father and the subsequent Briggs arc.

Rewriting Ten Thousand Maple Leaves! A lot of people have been very kind but I think I missed the mark with my first chapter to be honest. My writing has gotten a lot wordier and less succinct, which feels like I’m filling a chapter more with fluff and unnecessary description than actual content. I think I also dislike how I characterized Sanemi and how quickly Kazuha was willing to agree with things. Writing both of them is kind of a difficult challenge tbh! I think in rewriting it I want to give back to Kazuha more of his vagrant role in the games, where he is avoiding the law for reasons somewhat out of his control.

Ebisu siblings content! I think it might be fun to try having them interact with more of the canon characters in kny but I also think there’s some value in a complete sort of outsider point of view when inserting characters into a piece of media. I feel like whenever I see self inserts I see a lot of ocs making themselves indispensable and making meaningful relationships with existing characters that way and that’s totally valid! That’s a lot of what I do for crossovers as well. I think when it comes to my own ocs though, I want them to feel grounded in some form and the reality of it is that none of the characters I make based on myself or real people are that impressive or remarkable. But I also think there’s a lot of value in showing smaller scale things outside of the main interactions and plot to show that even though we aren’t remarkable, we still have our own meaningful connections and ideologies and stories :) in the end the Ebisu siblings are a lot more visual though so I may just continue making doodles and art without writing anything haha

Kirby & Meta Knight ageswap AU: I was mostly doing this on my ask-gikabi sideblog in short form comics, but I lost sight of what I wanted to do after making the discord and starting to interact with some of the people who followed it. I think a lot of people are inspired and have their own very cool ideas that I wanted to take into account but then eventually it was no longer my story or the story I wanted to tell, which is why I’m thinking of restarting it as a fic. This one is still in very rough idea stage though, I have honestly no clue how I’m even going to begin organizing it

Yanfei ace attorney crossover: this one’s just pure crack lmao I would definitely write it as crack taken seriously but I think this is fun to explore just for small ideas that pop up every now and then, i.e. yanfei is semi-immortal because she’s half adeptus so it would be Really Funny to me if she showed up in dgs era, got her attorney’s license, went into hiding after it became obvious that she wasn’t aging, and then re-emerged after rebranding herself as her own daughter or granddaughter. That, and I have a lot of fun imagining someone as pragmatic as yanfei trying to get through the sheer chaos of aa despite being otherworldly

Continuing winter weather advisory: I got to a really good point in that fic and was rereading it today like,,, damn I wrote that? And it would be fun to see where I planned on going with it so I do want to also try working on that a bit if I can

Kazuha & Kunikuzushi role swap au: this is something I posted about a Long While ago but it’s an idea I continue to be fascinated with :) I especially enjoy how these two characters could have had completely different roles and personalities depending on how their pasts happened (with wanderer being so nice and turning so bitter and kazuha growing up so spoiled (for lack of a better word) and turning out so weary and yet kind

Link click and mha crossover: this one is honestly just a very recent idea but I think it would be fun to make a drabble on how lightime photo studio would be able to continue operating even in another world and the trouble they might get into for illegal quirk usage and what using cheng xiaoshi’s powers in a world where being able to tell the future is canonically possible would entail

I have!! So many ideas!! And not enough time or motivation to actually write any of them most of the time :’)

no one ever really comments about how bittersweet it feels to read an unfinished fic. the longing feeling of wanting to not let go of it in a way that surrounds small bits of mystery. especially when the author had previously written as if they were super sure theyd update again in a foreseeable future. sure, they might not have and thats okay. i just hope theyre well.

i told myself i wasnt gonna get attached, though, damnit!!! told myself, "13 chapters and 50k words and unfinished?? that seems like a lot of content. what the hell!" it was a lot, but.... not enough as well...

UGH. it was a gem and i absolutely did not expect to find a lumity fanfic abt metal bands and shit BUT IT EXISTS AND IM GLAD. not what i had in mind for a band au but hey!!! i liked it lmao.

the concept of amity dealing with compulsive heteosexuality and her thinking "maybe im just sick...." fucking made me want to start sobbing on the floor in a ball. like- i did NOT need to relate to her more in that way 😭. BECAUSE LIKE the concept of being like "this is whats supposed to be right, right? i should want this... so... why dont i?" </3. im on the floor crying. EVEN IF IT WASNT INTERPRETED LIKE THAT, ISTG. ive never seen that viewpoint but went through that shit too. thank u for validating but also emotionally wrecking me.

"jigen isn't arrogant like most people" (bahahaha) he accepts people how they are and "I think that sportsmanship of his is really the appeal of jigen" yes YES that is a big part of my love for jigen and the lupin iii characters in general

"he's in great contrast to Lupin who is a bundle of greed" lol

lupin and jigen don't need to speak to communicate or to express their bond, though usual anime would probably want to put it into words. ehh this is really just a holdover from 70s values and expectations of men, what is and isn't manly to do or say. but it is interesting how it's developed into a kind of specific lupin-ish flavor today when it's so much less common. and people in general, not just men, understand that words can only ever scratch the surface where there's real depth of feeling.

so I don't wear or care about watches, so I hope I understood this. but basically on set tamayama complained about the strap on jigen's watch having holes and a "rock and roll" vibe I guess. too flashy for jigen I think was the point. so he made the prop department switch it for a normal one. and otsukas just like "yes correct."

tamayama: "I learned a lot from you, like about men's dandyism. I'd like to become older in the same [cool] manner as you" otsuka: "with a face like gary oldman"

they spent so little time talking about jigen's magnum and stuff even though it had its own section... I swear twenty years ago that would have been the longest part haha.

this interview was made for the fan girls i guess "ooh he's kind and cute and shy!!" haha. jk jk i enjoyed it. they surprisingly didn't spend a lot of time discussing the movie either, but that was kinda nice because no spoilers and it felt less like a twelve minute-long ad. just two jigens in a meeting of the mutual admiration society.

ʚ In fear of angering him while you were already in such a horrid state you had become completely complacent - much to his delight. He quite liked it when you were in this state, it made it easier for him to bend you to his will

ʚ When the twins were born it was definitely some adjusting, he didn’t know the first thing of being a father so one could imagine that you did majority of the parenting, as harsh as that sounds

ʚ Would not be any easier on you during your pregnancy and would most likely close off all your contact with anyone else other than him. You would be locked within his chambers for the entire duration

ʚ Being the silver-tongued man he is he would probably begin weaving little threads of manipulation into your head - of how you need him, of how you have no one but him, no one would want you now that you are to give birth to the dark lord’s children

ʚ It seemed to work, over the months you had grown extremely reliant on him and he couldn’t be more pleased

ʚ After the twins are born, you probably wouldn’t see them often. Not that anything bad would happen to them; rather, he didn’t want you ‘tait their upbringing'

First off, I would like to say I thoroughly enjoy your Levi posts, especially the ones where you break down his character, very insightful ❤

I've been stalking your tags a bit, and I noticed you mentioned Levi incorporating his mother into his wardrobe can you elaborate on this?

And secondly, you've likened Levi to Joel from TLOU, but for some reason I'm stuck on the dynamic of Levi losing two fingers vs how Ellie lost hers, and the aftermath, the mental gut-punch with losing something that is part of what makes them feel "useful". (I'm a masochist lol)

haha yes about the wardrobe part, either you mean the crossdressing post, or the kid levi in canon post😭😭😭?and there's quite the steep difference in theme.

to summarize for anyone else, 1: it's plainly obvious to me that Kenny first came upon Levi while he wore his mother's dress (or one of), and throughout his childhood, he cut it into a shirt (and speculatively, later keeps it with him as a handkerchief/his cravat).

2: I hc that Levi enjoys crossdressing with some resemblances to his mother because of, basically, the positive associations (similar to tea). for example, the perfume she used to wear.

there's not much to say that i can think of that i haven't already said🤔Kuchel was Levi's WORLD. she - would have - taught him the value of humanity and how to be kind, even though she didn't know what he'd go on to do. she was the foundation for the hero he'd go on to be. Levi's childhood is the antithesis of happiness (lol), but his mother was the closest thing to pure joy. it's just a fact.

similar to tea-drinking (as suggested in canon so far...), i don't see why cherishing memories of Kuchel would stop at that + there's the psychological implications.

as far as that goes, Kuchel died at what is the brain is soaking up info and experiences like a sponge. + the comparison is valid that Kuchel was heaven to Levi whereas he (and she) lived inside hell, so he as a child would latch on to her in common (ie, keeping her dress) and anomalous ways (ie, crossdressing as an adult (((w/ her as the primary influence for this behavior)))).

reminders of her are a source of comfort, tldr.

haha i've actually made a post on the symbolism around levi losing his fingers😅....and another post.... but to cut to the chase, levi's fixation on violence as pointless, unending (literally unending, bc zeke was healing as he cut him...), cruelty was his downfall + so was his selfishness when he chose armin while fully believing that erwin was the key to saving humanity.

his injuries were his punishment, but they didn't... destroy a priceless part of him like ellie's injury. he could still fight. in fact, if it weren't for levi's special way of holding one sword backwards, he would've had a much harder time.

but without her two fingers, ellie can't play guitar anymore. so her and joel's song won't ever ring out the same; that last connection she still had to him is ruined. also, what led to it, ellie succumbing to thoughtless, cold, cruel violence was her downfall in the world of the last of us, where one's humanity, so to speak, is the greatest refuge. in that fight, in the end, ellie tells abby to "just take him", referring literally to lev, but figuratively to joel. but along with that, ellie took away her own connection to joel herself.

so in the end of that, ellie loses everything, reconciles with her feelings towards joel, and - assumably - moves on. it's bittersweet... and she loses loses joel... but it's peace.

it's different for levi. yes cruelty that went against what His Person would want was his downfall like her, but he didn't lose everything. he almost did: his miraculous survival was out of his hands; if he wasn't an ackerman, he'd be dead. and dying would've been breaking his promise to erwin. levi's injury is a punishment of the highest order, and the establishment of his last chance to "keep his connection" to erwin, if you think of it in terms of how ellie's and levi's situations are related.

they both have their ups and downs :')

Okay, so for some weird reason, Tumblr isn't letting my replies stick. So, I'm so sorry to the people who replied to my post about Fanfic commenting. I'm not sure why the replies are not sticking, but I've already sent a support ticket about this issue. Just know that I've read them and I'll just post my replies here for the meantime... @nic-stars It really is heartbreaking. I remember getting replies that even theorizes what would happen next in my stories. Those were really interesting and fun. There were even really great constructive criticism ones that helped me grow as a writer and ones where you can feel connected with the reader and really being part of an incredible fandom. @aconstructofamind I feel fortunate that I haven't gotten a mean comment since returning. I'm all for criticisms as long as they are helpful, constructive, and worded in a way that doesn't demean or belittle anyone. It's really disheartening if meanness is now the norm, even when it comes to comments in fanfiction (or any fanwork). Also, I LOVE your handle. :D @pippinoftheshire Your handle made me smile, haha, thank you for that. Anyways, this should really be something brought back, and not because like we're starved for it (but, yeah, we are. a bit. haha), but also because it's a way for us to connect with our readers, too. Like, tell us how you feel (but in a way that doesn't demean or belittle what we made and poured our hearts out, please); tell us if we wrote something wrong and how can we make it better; tell us why you hated what this character did in the story or why you agree with their actions. Connect with us. We are part of the same community. @typicxlcato Don't be scared to be the first! Comments are always appreciated by authors. Even just a single phrase or just giving a quote that you loved from the story and telling the author you loved that? That can make anyone's day. :) @amliza By all means, haha. I'm currently on a commenting spree as well on all the fanfic's I'm currently reading. :D @she-elf4 The thing about an author/writer answering their own posited question of whether what they/we wrote or not is good is that we (often) are biased about it. That's why we need comments to tell us in what area we needed improving or if we did well. It's the same reason why book reviews exist. It's not just to tell others of why a book is good or bad, but to give an author a sense of what they need to improve on. I've never heard of commenting rules before, so that's a bit shocking for me. The only rule I adhere to when writing comments/reviews it to be kind and if I want to criticize an author for something, to do so in a constructive, respecting manner because I have to remind myself (and know from my own experience) that whoever wrote what I was reading poured enough of their time and talent (and maybe even a bit of their heart and soul) into that work. Honestly, though, I am curious about what these rules you speak of are.

@13flags Who ever said I (or anyone who agreed with this post) am/are only writing for reviews? I don't know where you got that from? Haha. The post I made pointed out that the reason I would love to get a review is for feedback, to grow as an author. If you write with only your own lens to view your own writing with no one to critique or comment on it, how will you know you are doing well? The reviews/comments I had the honor of getting from my own fics were kind enough to provide constructive criticisms, which is always good for an author. Also, it's nice to get validation for your writing, even if your objective is to share your stories to the world. Comments/Reviews are like symbolic to some (maybe most?) writers that they had been heard and can even be bridges for found friendships (as is the case with me. I made good friends from them). So, it's really nice.

This is kind of weird and I’m going to preface this with saying that I think your writing is absolutely excellent. If I were Elena in your Steferine fics, I don’t think I’d be able to seriously believe Stefan loved me because of how addicted he is to Katherine. I know the purpose of the fic isn’t a HEA Stelena and that it’s meant to hurt her because it’s Stefan and Damon choosing Katherine over her, and if I were Elena, I wouldn’t be able to get over that, if that makes sense. Like I know Stelena have this bond, this soulmate love and Steferine is ultimately obsession and great sex and I don’t think Stefan needs to validate Elena when she chose his brother over him and Elena does need to face consequences for her actions, but Idk, after seeing them both with Katherine in the context of your fic (Stefan continuing to see her despite Elena’s objections and jealousy, Damon actively pining after her, hell even Matt agreeing to hook up with her), I would just rethink everything in my life and just leave town. I know Elena wouldn’t do that because she loves Stefan and would stay and fight for him, but after it was all over, I think she would, just for a little bit. Everyone who has ever claimed to love her has in a sense picked Katherine over her, never mind that she picked Damon over them because Elena is nothing if not a hypocrite, and I think that would eat at Elena long after it was over and Katherine was gone.

I’m not requesting that you write this or anything, this is just a badly worded way of saying I think the sheer hurt you manage to insert into your writing is nothing short of masterful, that if I were in that character’s place I would be utterly unable to take it. Ngl, sometimes I have a hard time reading it because I cannot fathom what I would do in Elena’s situation, but then again if I were Elena I would have tried to run over Damon with my car in 1x04.

Idk if this is the kind of engagement that you want from your readers, but I thought I’d say something. I hope I didn’t come off as critical of your writing because that is so not the case, you are absolutely incredible and these are just my deranged musings. Is there anything I can do to better engage with your stories? I do like and reblog them but in terms of commentary/discussion, what are you looking for and how can I do it?

Oh, this is great engagement, thank you! But who says it's not an HEA for Stelena? 😉 (I'm not saying it is either! but it's more like Steferine is the prominent relationship in the fic rather than Stelena).

I get what you're saying, though, because I definitely dial everything to a hundred in that series (even though I sometimes wonder if I go far enough haha) while keeping it as in character as possible for a scenario like this while also kind of being like, if we're going to be honest about what all these people mean to each other and really looked at how these people reacted to each other, the outcomes of these dynamics would be extremely messy and extremely painful. And that means Elena is taking some pretty hard Ls and actually has to deal with the emotional consequences of them.

But in the same regard what makes Stelena Stelena is that they stay through circumstances where other people would leave. Like, Caroline, for instance, isn't staying through something like this, not with Stefan, not with Tyler, that's just not who she is. And I certainly would just take my L and go, haha.

But Elena's journey through the series is fun because when it starts, she's just sick with jealousy, and she's just indignant and angry and reactive and realizing that she made a choice to be with Damon and fully feeling the loss of Stefan, like it really sinking in for her that she made the wrong choice and that she didn't think of what losing Stefan would actually feel like and mean

Stefan sighed and shook his head. “Elena. Katherine’s right, you made your choice. You moved on. You didn’t think I’d move on too?”

Elena gritted her teeth putting her hands to her head. “I just didn’t think it would–”

“Rip your heart out?”

Elena didn’t say anything and only looked at him, devastated.

so the in "Toxic" she's here

but I make it a point for Stefan to explain that what he feels for Katherine isn't love, it isn't even affection, which in its own way makes Elena lose her mind

“I can’t believe you’re defending her! What, you have feelings for her again?”

Stefan rubbed his temples. “This isn’t about having feelings—”

“No?” Elena yelled.

“No!” He insisted. “I know who she is, Elena, I’m not falling for her, OK?”

“OK, so it’s not about revenge, it’s not about emotions then what could it possibly be–”

“Maybe we just have great fucking sex!”

Elena flinched as if struck and Stefan closed his eyes, still indignant but regretful.

but she knows that despite it being intense, it's not necessarily profound.

Which is why in "Choices" when they meet and they have their shared memory of a previous Valentine's Day, what that night meant, what the sex they had on that night meant, when he confirms that nothing like that is happening with Katherine, she's still jealous but she's relieved

“OK, let’s just say I’m not releasing two dozen doves for anyone.”

“Or going to any Victorian balls,” she whispered.

Their eyes glistened as if they were sharing the same memory of that night, the ballroom, the dancing, the feel of the bookshelves, of the fabric of the chaise, the ripe, wet urgency of their lovemaking…

“No,” he said finally, lowering his gaze. “Nothing like that.”

Elena’s relief was only outmatched but the nagging curiosity – if she could even call it that – about what he was doing and who with, she didn’t want to know but also wanted to with her whole being.

and then in "Blood", when she sees the blood sharing, it breaks her brain

Elena had never thought of it before, Stefan drinking from someone who wasn’t her, someone drinking from him like she’d done. Sharing that kind of intimacy. Elena’s vision went off-kilter, the world tilted off its axis.

Was this how Stefan had felt when he’d found out about her and Damon? She didn’t know what that had meant at the time, not really, but Stefan did know, he knew now and he still …

The moment was over.

Everything happened quickly.

Elena sped forward and dragged Katherine away by her neck, ignoring the cries from Stefan and Caroline and Bonnie for her to stop.

but what's more is that even in the midst of all of this, they're still them, like it's not even just about a gaze, it's their physicality, it's impossible for them to not be them even when she just wants to be enraged and even when he's over his head in a toxic cycle

and then suddenly the pain was gone. Stefan threw Katherine to the side, her body crashing into the wall, and helped Elena up, bringing her to a corner, inspecting her head, her face, saying frantically, “It’s OK, you’re OK.”

Elena kept trying to push forward but Stefan held her back, his arms around her, He stood still as a rock, allowing her to battle against him until she started to calm, to feel the recognizable comfort of his arms around her and she eased into his embrace, unable to fight against the peace he’d always made her feel …

and then anger bloomed, anger at the familiarity, anger at the intimacy between them even now

and it's at this part where Stefan describes his relationship with Katherine at the moment as an addiction, which again inflames Elena's jealousy because he continues to see Katherine despite the wreckage and that's painful but it also catalyzes Elena into looking at the situation differently

“So, this is about getting back at me.”

“No, it’s not about that,” said Stefan firmly. “It has nothing to do with you, Elena, it’s about her, me and her.”

“What about you and her? What is it? What is this thing?” The images came to her again and Elena put her hand to her head.

“I don’t know,” said Stefan. “It’s score keeping, it’s – it’s, it’s kind of like an addiction.”

“An addiction?” said Elena, looking at him pained and alarmed.

so that when we get to "Boundaries" and Stefan is saying these hurtful things

“You don’t want me, Elena,” he said.

“Stop it,” she said.

“You just don’t want me with anybody else.”

“Stop. This isn’t you.”

“I’m your safety net, your sure thing, and you think it’s being taken away from—”

She slapped him. The action surprised her as much as it did him. Her hand stung. The sound of the impact still ringing in the air.

Firstly, he never talks about how he stopped loving her, he talks about how she stopped loving him. So kind of like 1x10 where she's like don't tell me how I feel to let yourself off the hook

Secondly, what he says

“We met. We fell in love. It was epic. And now it’s done. This,” he gestured between him and Elena. “Whatever this lingering … this …” He breathed heavily. “It’s done. We’re done.”

Elena nodded angrily. “Done.”

“Yeah,” he said.

“Yeah,” she agreed. “Finally.”

He looked at her. “Finally.”

And then he left.

still hurts but it's very reminiscent of how he acted in season 3

So, by this point in the fic, in Elena's mind, Stefan is going through another form of addiction. Katherine is an obstacle she needs to help him overcome because he never says that he loves her, he never even says that he likes her, and he admits that he isn't happy,

“I know that you’re not doing this to hurt me—”

“Good.”

“But this is what you want? Really?”

Stefan didn’t say anything right away. “Right now, yes.”

Elena’s lips trembled. “This is what makes you happy?”

“I never said that.”

it's just that he can't stop.

All the while they're having moments like this

She walked up to him, holding his face in her hands, pressing her forehead against his, and he exhaled like he’d just remembered how to breathe, just remembered what respite felt like. They stayed like that, drinking each other in, and then the door flew open, Katherine appearing.

and he's clearly affected by her, he's not indifferent, he's not hateful, he's not cold, he's in complete agony

“Elena, why are you he—”

“I don’t know why I’m here, I’m just here. That’s my point, Stefan. I had to be here because you were here. With her. You had to see me here.”

Stefan stared at her, at a loss. “I never did this to you.”

“Yeah, Caroline said the same thing.”

“I left my house. I left my town—”

“I know,” said Elena.

“So then why are you doing this to me?”

“Because throwing tables wasn’t enough. I’m not as stoic as you.”

so even though she's hurt and she's extraordinarily jealous, when he's having his outbursts, it's kind of like his blood lust outbursts

“What do you want to hear, Elena?” He was shouting. “You want to hear that it makes me sick? Well it does! But the rush I get? I can’t —” He took a deep breath. “I can’t stop! Is this what you mean? This is what you want to hear?”

same vibes as

“Fine, let’s talk about it! Let’s talk about how good the sex is, that I’ve had her every which way for hours on end and it’s still, somehow, not enough! Let’s talk about how it feels like I’m addicted to her, like I’m hooked on the high I get when I’m around her! Let’s talk about how right now, I can’t see an end in sight! You really want to talk about that? You really want to hear that? Really? Do you want me to go on?”

Stefan burrowed his face in his hands, unable to bear the expression on her face.

kind of like

and it's also a continuation of

and she repeats that they don't give up on each other, that's not what they do

exacerbated by the fact that she had chosen Damon.

What I think you had to suspend disbelief the most for is when she waits outside Katherine's apartment for him but I just saw it as her wanting to see his reaction when he sees her, to see if he really had moved on and it's the complete opposite

Elena.

Stefan felt the ground shift beneath his feet.

“Please don’t tell me you’ve been out here the entire time.”

She only looked up at him, teary-eyed, but the devastation in that simple motion was all the answer he needed,

he confirmation a lance through his chest. He could only exhale, anguished and overwhelmed. “Elena—”

so basically this series' Wickery Bridge

which is all to say this fic is as much about what SE can withstand as it is about the fun toxic psychosexual power dynamics between SK and how the two things feed each other and the point is kind of that no one else would be able to get through this but SE (if they do!)

i know the feeling!! even though i’ve been following them for like 18 months now, i have to admit that lately it’s gotten considerably more intense (and i think it shows lmao)

yes, totally valid of you!!!! the thing is, i Wish we had a lot more interviews with them. or at least more interviews with eng subtitles because a lot of the things we learn about them are through fan cams translated by twitter people (god bless their souls or else we’d be doomed)
