Haven't been on this site for years. Most of the debates that are on here I have never encountered when talking to real life queer people. Y'all still debating this discourse n shit?

what was y'all's identity progression? mine was something like
lesbian -> bi -> bi & ply -> ply -> ply & gray ace -> bi & gray ace -> bi lesbian & gray ace -> bi lesbian & gray ace & genderqueer
(there were a bunch of acespec and gender microlabels in there too that sorta come and go and come again but i simplified)

The first split attraction model (SAM) was made in 1879 by Karl Heinrich Ulrichs and described bisexuality as well as heteroromantic homosexuality. There’s literally a whole ass wikipedia article on this. Let’s use our brains here a bit, okay?

Sooo, potentially risking a nuclear bomb by posting this here, but fuck it. I did a video about 2016-2020 era "Ace Discourse," how awful and toxic it got, and how modern day LGBTQ debates are often just repeats of the same tired arguments. Let's all learn about it so we can know never to do it again. 😬

Shippers who use the "aroace people can date" phrase as an excuse to ship canonically aroace characters are infantilizing romance/sex repulsed aroace people. As a romance and sex favored aroace person, it's giving the same vibes as "you just haven't found the right person". I wouldn't be surprised if these shippers end up becoming exclusionists down the line.

Inclusionists and Radqueers
(quick note, I use the term "queer community" instead of "lgbtq+ community")
I think that many people need to know the difference between inclusionists and radqueers because a surprising amount of people don't.
One of the main differences is that inclusionists know the difference between valid, good-faith terminology and bad-faith, troll terminology, while radqueers do not (or don't care). This means that both inclusionists and radqueers accept communities such as xenogenders, neopronouns, a-specs (asexual spectrum, and aromantic spectrum), m-specs (multigender spectrum), and m-specs (multi-sexual/attraction spectrum) as valid parts of the queer community. However, radqueers take this many leaps further by accepting (harmful) xenogenders, (harmful) neopronouns (usually nounself pronouns based on sensitive topics or offensive words), and just generally harmful terms (e.g. transracial, z00philes, pokesexual, MAPs), as a part of the queer community.
This again, is one of the largest differences between inclusionists and radqueers. Many inclusionists understand the harm radqueers cause the queer community, and do not associate themselves with them due to this fact.

The wave of Thomas Sanders hate that was going for ages just because of him acting mildly annoying to some people while making jokes and being nice to people was INSANE. He's literally always been a cool guy

why do you think aspecs aren’t lgbtq+ have you read any gay history or do you just think we don’t exist because we do man and you also said “no kink at pride” but then we don’t exist
For one this isn't even a coherent argument. It's accusative, leading, and poorly structured and thus difficult to read, but I'll try my best.
So, i never said they aren't lgbtq+, i think the q+ is bullshit. It ends with T. The thing that holds us all together is the same type of issue. Issues relating to our gender, and what specific struggles that come about from it. Two experiences in particular. Same gender attraction, and gender dysphoria. Asexuals experience none of this.
They also have no meaningful association with our history, you'll see they were invited to pride, not made part of the subject matter or hosted as a main voice of the community at any point in integral pre-internet lgbt history (it's not just gay). The fact you insinuate such associates without providing any source as to how they are a part of LGBT history specifically doesn't help either. If you make a claim about history you should reference a specific thing that happened at that key event, or provide a source.
I never said you don't exist, in fact in several posts that asexuals and aromantic people do exist, have, a unique experience, are orientations, and are not a choice. However just because something is valid doesn't mean it is LGBT. Yes you exist, congratulations. However, your particular issues are not what the focus of the LGBT community is. Unless you have a separate romantic or sexual orientation that is towards the same gender or you have gender dysphoria. I'm sorry but heteroromantic cisgender asexuals just aren't LGBT.
No kink at pride has nothing to do with the asexuals argument, that's a red herring. Even then, these arguments are not mutually exclusive, and have separate reasons for them. I don't exclude kink from pride because i oppose sex and put everything non-sexual on a pedestal. Personally I'm a big fan of sexual environments. However that is not an environment literal children trying to express their identity need.
Also again, not at ome point did i say you don't exist.
Hope that helps!

Okay but in all seriousness I have never met an exclusionist who didn't turn out to also be ableist.
Not even just talking about terfs. Transmeds, ace exclusionists, battleaxe bis, anti mogai/neopronouns/xenogenders, etc. too. I literally have not found one, in the 5 years I have been active in the community, who didn't also say ableist bullshit. Tbh starting to doubt non ableist exclusionists even exist because I literally have never seen a single one.

remember in the height of ace discourse when inclusionists would make ace "positivity" posts that were like "don't listen to those mean exclusies! you ARE oppressed! everyone DOES hate you! coming out WILL ruin friendships! there ARE aphobic hate crimes and you WILL be targeted! you ARE at a higher risk for conversion therapy! you are valid <3" girl in what world is that affirming. in what world will that make an ace teen feel better about their sexuality. make fun of the love is love and it gets better campaigns all you want but at least their message was actually positive
