ROR Virgin Destroyer Dress
Tumblr media
(Dress designed by https://twitter.com/Dishwasher1910)
Oblivious Y/N: *back from another shopping trip where Aphrodite assisted in picking out a new outfit* Lookie~! I got a new outfit! What do you think?
-Buddha: *if he was holding something it is now on the ground in thousands of pieces as he froze in shock, words escaping him as he trotted up to him, blinking up at him as he didn’t answer you* Y/N: Love~ are you okay? *He didn’t care that you were in the middle of his paradise, snatching you up before easily pinning you to the ground beneath him, eyes red with lust and passion as hearts appeared in them* You better hope I don’t rip this, because I’m going to ruin every inch of you!
-Poseidon: Sea God.exe has crashed and burst into flames *no words came as his brain couldn’t comprehend your body in such an outfit; when he tried to speak* Dolphin sounds *his face burned bright, his cold facade breaking as he threw you over his shoulder again, sprinting to your bedroom* You’re going to pay for this!!
-Sasaki: *he dared not turn around, remembering the last time you did this, the dress that he ravaged you in for hours was hidden away, so he wouldn’t attack you again* *he swallowed hard, slowly turning as you called out his name and he felt his heart stop and instantly his hands flew to his crotch as his face burned and lewd thoughts quickly took over* Y/N!! Are you trying to kill me?! *You batted your eyelashes at him innocently, confused by his words before he quickly grabbed you, rolling you to your back so he loomed over you, his eyes blown wide with lust before removing his scarf and grabbing your wrists to bind them...again*
-Jack: *he couldn’t believe his eyes, he refused to believe them, turning back to his tea, sipping quietly, not looking over at you, thinking it was a trick of the light* *When he finished his tea he looked again, seeing you smiling warmly at him, giving a dainty twirl, asking for his opinion. He wiped his mouth on a napkin before folding the newspaper up and stood* My dearest Y/N, I am a gentleman and shall always be one. However, for the moment, I am going to indulge with you in an uncontrolled and savage way. *Before you could blink, he had thrown you over his shoulder, rushing to the bedroom as if you were going to disappear before he could fulfill his desires*
-Loki: *drops to his knees as a light shown from above upon him, tears cascading down his cheeks as he beheld the most stunning of creatures before him* *a feral grin quickly takes over as he rushes you, pinning you to a wall* Can I ravage you Y/N? Please say yes! *You turn your head with a pout, arms folding beneath your chest* Y/N: no, you ripped my dress last time *instantly he’s on his knees, arms around your hips, his chin resting on your belly, apologies falling from his lips like a mantra, hearts appearing in his eyes* I’ll beg, please let me have you, please, please, please~~~!!
-Odin: *the mug in his hands instantly shatter as you twirl in front of him, showing your newest outfit off with a bright, unaware smile. With a sigh, Muninn and Huginn are quick to make their exit again, knowing what was going to happen...again* *Odin quickly snatches you into his arm, sitting you on his lap so your back was to his chest, his large hands coming to rest, only momentarily, on your hips* You’re playing a dangerous game, Y/N *you blink up at him, innocence in your eyes which only seems to make him more feral* Y/N: what do you mean? *Yeah... you couldn’t walk for two days after he finished with you but requested the outfit to be worn again. He was the only one to send Aphrodite a thank you message.*

Debunking the “thanos brainwashed loki” theory (kind of)
DISCLAIMER: i don’t really have any problems with people taking this theory more lighthearted/just as an headcanon/au sort of thing, my issue is when it is accepted as fully canon, and words, meanings, and statements in interviews are completely twisted. people too often use it to mischaracterize loki, and disregard any of his motives, acts, and issues.
when i first got into the mcu and started interacting with the fandom, i too believed this theory when i first heard about it. until i thought about it a little more, and learned more about loki.
i’m aware that this is a little controversial to say since a lot of people truly take the theory as canon and have basically forever now… but in all honesty i REALLY don’t think it’s true. but let me just state that yes, loki definitely was persuaded/coerced into doing the things he did in avengers by thanos and his goons in order to retrieve the tesseract, that’s very canon as we can see in the scene of loki interacting with the other. loki fears thanos for a reason. thanos is a piece of shit and is shown to be a piece of shit to others including nebula and gamora, who were supposed to be his “daughters”. if he would torture his own “children”, why wouldn’t he torture and subject a stranger that he wanted to use to get the tesseract? so loki definitely was tortured.
i know there’s these two interviews, one with tom hiddleston (here) and the other with joss whedon that confirm loki went through a lot of horrible things between the ending of thor 1 and the beginning of avengers. they don’t necessarily give any specifics, just that it was really bad for him. please forgive me as i cannot find the joss whedon one right now, but i believe it was a video. the article with tom hiddleston which i’ve linked, is him saying “I think somewhere between the end of Thor and the beginning of The Avengers, Loki has been to the Marvel equivalent of the 7th circle of hell. At the end of Thor you see him let go. He lets go of the spear, he lets go of Asgard, and he lets go of the need of his brother and father’s affection and approval. He has bigger plans now.” and joss whedon pretty much said the same (in regards to loki going through horrible things between thor and avengers) from what i remember.
(but even with that being said, i’m going to focus more on canon rather than interviews.)
i’m not here to disprove that loki was tortured, i fully believe that he was and it makes sense considering thanos’ character, but i’m here to prove that he wasn’t FULLY brainwashed into doing what he did.
also trust me, i know that most of the movies loki has been in disregard a lot of the shit he’s been through, but i do feel that if he was truly forced into it, it would’ve been elaborated on. which i will elaborate on in this post.
…………………………………………………………………………….
if anyone was brainwashed into committing the acts loki committed in avengers, they would be very distraught and traumatized when they eventually gained full consciousness and realized that they did those things. examples of this in the mcu being clint (who is literally in the same movie), as well as bucky who really was brainwashed by hydra into being an assassin, and is shown as being deeply traumatized when the brainwashing is undone. even if he didn’t commit those acts intentionally, and in his own will.
we can see in the dark world that loki was not really shown to be regretful about what he did. and honestly, i don’t think that was just them choosing not to show loki as being vulnerable, or them disregarding loki’s issues (per usual) because we actually get to see some of his true feelings, as well as him having a breakdown in the movie. he is willingly vulnerable. “now you see me, brother.”
he is shown to be deeply troubled, and vengeful about the possibility of him unintentionally leading algrim/kurse to frigga, the fact he was locked up and unable to be of any sort of help, as well as obviously frigga’s death in general. it was something that was truly done unintentionally by loki.
if loki had really unintentionally, and unconsciously committed the acts he did, he would be shown to be very distraught about it in the dark world, and it would’ve been elaborated on.
the approach the writers, as well as tom hiddleston wanted to take for loki’s character in the dark world was one that showed us as the audience, and as fans of loki more about him, as well as to see him at his most vulnerable, so why would they leave out his supposed trauma from brainwashing? because that’s not really how it happened.
they would have shown him be vulnerable about being brainwashed, and doing something unintentionally if it were something that really happened. since loki’s writing in the dark world was meant to “humanize” him. we’ve seen him at his most villainous in the last movie, so now let’s see him at his lowest in the one after that.
a major point of mine that disproves the theory is that although loki is shown to fear thanos, he’s not necessarily doing this whole thing JUST for him. he is also focused on ruling over earth, rather than just retrieving the tesseract.
if he was brainwashed, however, he would’ve got the tesseract to thanos without anything in return. thanos wouldn’t have had to bargain with loki, or offer earth/an army to him. he would have just mind controlled him with the scepter, the same way loki did with clint, and called it a day.
another point that disproves the theory is that if loki truly was mind controlled by the scepter, he would act almost robotic, and would be quite still, only doing things when told/motioned to the same way clint was when the scepter was first used on him in the beginning of the movie. (i’ve linked this scene further down in this post when i talk about the misconceptions of loki’s eyes being the same blue as the character’s who were mind controlled.) loki clearly says, and does whatever he wants in the movie. this would not really be the case if he were being mind controlled.
(also another example of loki realizing he had partially caused something unintentionally was thor’s banishment. he is shown to be quite nervous about the fact that thor got banished, although it did end up working in his favor later on in the movie.)
loki has shown many times, even before avengers when he is undeniably a villain, that he has no issues with hurting people to get what he wants. people who use the theory and accept it as canon often (i kind of hate this word, so forgive me for the lack of better words) infantilize and mischaracterize loki as being this character who is completely innocent, and helpless. and that he only became “bad” in avengers. meanwhile loki has always (always meaning since after/during the events of thor 1) been shown as a manipulative character with dark thoughts and violent tendencies. in thor 1, he committed genocide against the frost giants BEFORE he was under the influence of thanos or the scepter.
(let me state that i’m not saying loki is a bad person or a psychopath who just goes off hurting people left and right merely for the fun of it. i’ve elaborated on this, as well as loki’s motives in this post. but basically i’m saying that loki does everything he does with reason, and purpose. he is conniving, and calculated with his decisions. he doesn’t get satisfaction in hurting people, he gets satisfaction in getting closer to his goals.)
loki is already a “tragic victim” type character. you don’t need to erase that he’s capable of and willing to do wrong, and imply that those things were very out of character for him to prove that. characters can simultaneously do bad things out of their own will, while having a shitty past. not all victimized characters are completely innocent, and without flaws.
loki is never shown to have any love for midgard, or midgardians in general. he genuinely wanted to rule over them. in thor 1, loki says “i never wanted the throne, i only ever wanted to be your equal.” in thor 1. but in avengers, he says “i’ve grown, odinson, in my exile.” showing that he, and his motives have changed since then. he’s not the same person he was in thor 1, begging for his father’s love and recognition. not wanting a throne isn’t the case for him anymore. if he wasn’t able to prove himself to his own father, then midgardians were the next option.
in the dark world, loki no longer cares for odin’s approval. “he’s not my father!” “i didn’t do it for him.” as well as banishing/exiling him, and taking his throne. his focus shifting from odin’s approval as his own son in thor 1, to the approval of midgard as their king in avengers, to the approval of asgard as their king in the dark world, shows how loki’s character and his motives developed and changed with each movie. he realized that odin will never approve of him as his own son, let alone as king of asgard. thor 1 was just the start.
the reason this is relevant to disproving the theory, as well as the points i’m trying to make are:
1. the motives were already there. the will to do bad things, was already there before thanos and even the scepter’s influence/interference.
2. loki has changed between thor 1 and avengers, and he didn’t need to be brainwashed for this change to happen. he didn’t change and become “evil” because of what thanos put him through.
3. some people who take the theory as canon, believe that loki is fully good and would have never willingly hurt others to get what he wants, or to prove a point. which could not be further from the truth.
i know most of this won’t really make sense to people who already know these things, but my words (and this post in general) are more directed to/are about those who use this theory to try and make loki seem like he’s a character who only started doing bad things, due to being brainwashed. that he’s a character who would never do anything wrong against his own will. meanwhile, he’s exhibited “bad” behaviors willingly since the first movie he was in.
he’s a character with manipulative tendencies, and deep rooted resentment and jealousy towards those put above him. he is insecure, and is willing to do anything to prove himself worthy.
also a lot of the things and points that the people who believe this theory as canon use as proof are things that have been debunked. a point that they often use is that marvel has confirmed that loki was influenced by the scepter. but the only thing they confirm is that it heightened his anger and negative feelings. a big issue is that people hear “influenced” and misunderstand, taking it as a confirmation that loki was mind controlled, and not that the scepter was just amplifying his negative emotions that were already there, and have been since thor 1.
Tumblr media
(link to the whole page.)
nowhere does it say that he was brainwashed, or mind controlled. influenced? yes, that’s what the scepter does.
another thing is people talking about his eyes supposedly being the same blue as clint’s, and erik selvig’s when they were under the influence of the scepter. when in reality… their proof of this is just lighting, edited photos, or them mistaking loki’s eyes as being green when they’re actually blue. tom hiddleston has blue eyes, and loki in avengers has the same blue eyes that he did in thor 1, before he even met thanos. his eyes aren’t green, and have never been. (also if loki was MIND CONTROLLED by the scepter, his eyes would be EXTREMELY blue, considering his natural eye color is blue.)
examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he has the same beautiful big blue eyes eye color. not the insanely bright blue that clint, or erik selvig had when they were mind controlled by the scepter.
more examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
guys, if loki was being controlled by the scepter… his eyes would be the same color as theirs since the cgi was purposely used to make their eyes very unrealistically blue so that everyone would know they were being controlled. these two characters both have blue eyes. these pictures show them before being mind controlled/brainwashed, versus afterwards. also… his eyes would be that same blue throughout the movie. which they’re not… clint’s eyes remained that bright blue until the mind controlling was undone by natasha.
Tumblr media
it won’t let me add any more pictures so forgive me, but trust me… it’s not the same blue. loki’s eyes do look a little brighter here so maybe i understand the misconception a little bit, but that’s due many factors that can be explained. one being the makeup put on tom hiddleston in this scene to make his skin lighter as well to make him appear exhausted. another factor being the lighting!! as someone with blue eyes, i know that basically anything can make them appear a different shade. but that even goes for other eye colors. that’s just how it works. another thing to mention is that tom hiddleston is naturally blonde and has warmer skin than this. the contrast of the darker hair and the makeup (ESPECIALLY the makeup used to make his under-eye area look dark, which is only used like that in this scene btw) will make his eyes look really bright especially when he already has bright blue eyes. here’s the scene.
another example of his eye color being this post of mine right here. he literally has the same eyes
we can see that the avengers, specifically the hulk, were influenced by the scepter as well. but their eyes weren’t bright blue, because they weren’t being brainwashed by it and instead their negative emotions that were already there were being heightened. this caused cap and tony to argue even more, bruce banner to become angry and emotional about being the hulk, everyone else to become more hostile, etc… these were pre existing issues. loki’s resentment towards thor as well as his need for approval were pre existing.
……………………………………………………………………………
anyway i will probably update this in the future if there’s anything i left out/to correct mistakes.
moral of the story is, loki was canonically tortured, subjected, and manipulated by thanos. but even with that being said, he was not necessarily brainwashed and he was definitely not brainwashed by the scepter. there is no canon proof of that. the scepter only heightened his negative emotions that were already there.
if loki really was brainwashed, don’t you think he would’ve just retrieved the tesseract for thanos without wanting to rule over earth? it would’ve been that simple. but since that isn’t true and loki was consciously and intentionally doing these things, he wanted something in return. neither clint, nor erik selvig wanted anything in return. they did whatever loki needed them to, unconsciously.
people tend to take the proof of his torture, and mistake it as proof of him being brainwashed for some reason. loki is not an innocent character who only started exhibiting “bad” behaviors in avengers. just because he’s done bad things doesn’t mean that you cannot love him, sympathize with him, or see him as the true victim in the story. he is the god of mischief. he is manipulative, and has deep rooted issues that causes him to do bad things in order to prove himself. you don’t need to dumb down his character, and motives in order to like him.
sorry if none of this makes any sense. i’m really bad at explaining my own thoughts and putting them into words, and i’m sure this could’ve been worded better. i just made this to clear things up as well as give my own take on the theory. don’t take it too seriously but also feel more than welcome to correct me on anything, as well as add your own take or anything else onto this.
thank you for reading!!

Loki S2 Review
I rewatched S2 and I liked it even more on the second watch. I'm giving it a 6 out of 10 in average(8 for the finale). Since I didn't post a review week by week like for S1, I'm just going to talk about the main things I liked/disliked
The Improvements & Things I liked:
The pace and the narrative's tone and framing have changed. While the pace drops sometimes, these moments aren't as boring as S1. Meaning you don't want to constantly check when it's going to end(like you know, S1 and especially 1x06). The narrative is neutral and doesn't villain code Loki and hero code others. It doesn't turn Loki into a clown, a punching bag or someone who deserves humiliation(I guess they've done enough of that in S1). On the contrary the characters are shown as flawed people, with Loki being the most moral, considerate, logical and heroic amongst them.
They stated bluntly in episode 1, that what TVA used to do, were atrocities. That they were killing numerous innocent people who had a right to live their lives as they chose.
The characters were three dimensional, likable or tolerable despite their actions in S1. They showed remorse for the things they had done. Although the way the narrative chose to go about it in S1 still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It shouldn't happen to you for you to realize sth is wrong. But at least it was shown that the characters weren't slaughtering people mindlessly and some of them deep down knew it was wrong. Although the fact that they still did it, because of the "greater good", and "woe is me! It's not a comfort it's a burden" attitude about it is repulsive.
OB, Casey and Timely being funny, cute nerds and fanboys :D
Loki using amazing magical stuff and DID YOU SEE THE GREEN MAGICAL GLOW IN HIS EYES?*incoherent screaming*
No Romance. It was unnecessary and rushed in S1. This time they focused more on Loki needing friends and that was definitely a better choice imo and what they should have gone for in S1 too.
Sylvie's actions and personality framed as what they were. She wasn't put on a pedestal as this amazing different FeMaLe version of Loki. She was framed as a flawed character with wrong and right actions and beliefs.
Loki and Sylvie's talk in the pie land, about change, hope, fixing what's broken and being gods. That sigh before Loki saying "We are gods" with all the weight of the world on his shoulders. Wonderful acting.
The ending and its epic soundtrack.
Topics & Things That Could Have Been Handled Better:
The Topic of New York Invasion
"Sometimes a rage builds up and you just gotta let it out. Do you remember that time I was so angry with my father and my brother, I went down to Earth and I held the whole of New York city hostage with an alien army? Tried to use the mind stone on Tony Stark? It didn't work so I threw him off the building. It wasn't tactical. I lost it"
On the surface it looks like Loki's saying that's why he attacked New York and probably most people accept this without a second thought.
But the context of the scene matters. We see during the interrogation Mobius loses his temper. He was worried about Loki getting angry, but he was the one who loses his temper and hits Brad. Loki tries to calm him down by sympathizing with him to try and see what caused his behavior. It's the same thing he did for Thor in the first movie, before coronation and after it, while Thor was nervous and angry. What he says about New York while isn't the whole truth, it also isn't untrue. He was angry with Thor and Odin but as we know his anger and thoughts were influenced by the scepter. We also know Loki doesn't like to talk about his time with Thanos or being tortured. Instead he uses a half-truth, sth that is in character for Loki.
So the scene can be rationalized by this analysis but it's still annoying that this analysis is even needed. They should have been clear about the scepter's influence especially when mcu confirmed it.
Loki thinking about Thor's change as being a weakness. While both Thor and Loki were groomed and taught to consider being soft as a weakness, that wasn't Loki's true feelings. At least I don't think someone who prefers words and magic-that are considered a weakness in Asgard-over brawn thinks like that. His goal in the first movie was to goad Thor into fighting him. So the line should have been sth like this: "Asgard taught us being soft is a weakness, so I used that against Thor to goad him into a fight. I said he's gone soft…"
Plotholes and things that weren't explained.
Why Loki and Sylvie weren't sent to their original timelines like others? And why neither of them showed any interest in seeking their family? You're telling me Loki wants to see these people he knows for 10 seconds more than Frigga or Thor? OOC.
Sylvie's sudden mastery of magic since 1x06 isn't explained. She didn't know much, but then suddenly could do everything Loki did. I mean I can headcanon that her and Loki linking their power taught her some things but these sudden developments without any explanations are annoying.
Loki's genderfluidity. No mention of it at all. Although I believe that no representation is better than bad representation. And you should leave a topic alone if you don't understand it, otherwise you're gonna mess it up. Because bad rep can be more harmful. And so maybe it was a good thing mcu let that one go. But they could still fix it with some shapeshifiting, explaining its difference with illusions and Loki confirming that he is comfortable in her female form.
Loki's clothes. It's probably not that important in comparison with other issues but I really hate that beige suit. Why Sylvie who doesn't even want to be Loki and wasn't in Asgard since childhood changes into an Asgardian outfit for a fight and not Loki? Yeah I get it. It was because of the last reveal and transformation and finding his identity blah blah blah but at least they could have gave him his old Asgardian clothes or he could change the suit's color ugh
Criticism & Things I didn't like:
The ooc moments for Loki in some comedic scenes. Especially in episode 5. While the character has a comedic potential, it's not based on clownery or clumsiness. The best humorous moments for Loki are the ones where he outwits others, use sarcastic language or he is being outwitted despite his careful plans.
Certain emotional stakes aren't clear from the start. The audience know that saving TVA is the right thing because it protects all the freed timelines but they don't know why they should care? Or more accurately why Loki is so emotionally invested in this goal. That gets answered in episode 5 and while Loki's talk with Sylvie is a good emotional scene, the fact that it's stated so late in the story, makes the first few episodes boring when it comes to saving TVA.
The main reason the emotional stakes aren't clear(at least for me), I believe is because most of the people Loki call them his "friends",  haven't done anything to either deserve his friendship or aren't close enough to be considered a friend. Let alone someone Loki tries to move heaven and hell to be with them, instead of for example trying to find his brother and family. It is an issue which again is rooted in S1 and carried to S2. What happened in S1 wasn't therapy or a healthy friendship.
However, Loki being loyal to anyone who show him an ounce of affection or him being moral enough to try to save people are in character for him and that's sth good about it.
The torture scene.
The trick Mobius and Loki pulled was predictable as hell. I didn't even doubted Loki in TDW, let alone here. And even though I didn't believe for one second that Loki's actually going to hurt the guy, and he wasn't shown enjoying it, I still hated that he went along with the torture idea Mobius had come up with. Especially considering the fact that he was a victim of torture himself and never shown any sign in canon that he would torture someone. So yeah I hated that scene.
And why that scene was even necessary? Loki could get into X-5's mind when they weren't in TVA. We know he is capable of it. He did it both through mind stone in Avengers and in TR. how else they were going to delve into Mobius' problem though smh
But alright let's say they needed a scene like that. Still the whole Brad believing Mobius is against torture, and Loki's the one who would be in favor of it, is so fucking ridiculous. Any way you look at it, it has always been TVA and Mobius who did any torture we've seen during the two seasons. The tortures that Loki endured might I add. Even in the previous scene, it was Loki who didn't hit Brad and only tried to intimidate him non-physically by acting as a villain. It was Mobius who hit him, who was shown more affected by Brad's insults. So logically the scene they had planned to fool Brad, should have been played completely the opposite way. By having Mobius do the torture. At least it was recognized that the torture idea was from Mobius and both he and Loki gave the credits for it to Mobius.
Verity Willis. Hunter B15 unlike the Verity in comics, doesn't have a close friendship with Loki or truth detector powers. Not having a good friend like comics Verity for Loki, was such a wasted opportunity in the series.
Mobius saying to Loki "You're a man of action...". That was such a stupid, unnecessary line. As if the main difference between Loki and Thor wasn't Thor acting before thinking, and Loki thinking and planning before acting. While Loki is also a man of action, he is first and foremost a man of strategy. The only plausible explanation imo is that Mobius said it to not feel useless in comparison with Loki and his skills.
"Thor's not that tall". Yeah, no. I don't think Loki's reaction to seeing Thor and Odin's statues would be that. Knowing his brother and family were murdered by the very same people he's working with now. Remind me again why he's considering them "FrIeNdS"? Someone really needs to explain the concept of friendship to Loki. Or rather the writers of this show.
And while we are at it. Let's talk about how Loki's past and identity issues were completely swapped under the rug as if they were all magically fixed and didn't matter anymore. As if those weren't the most important part of his journey. Another issue rooted in S1.
Final Thoughts(for now :D)
Season 2 was definitely better than season 1. Not perfect, and not for those who care about OG Loki's issues. They set him on a completely different path in S1 and they messed up any chance to actually delve into his problems. So in S2 we're having a character that we're supposed to accept has moved on from certain issues, and now tries to find what he wants and where he belongs. Still, I think that they listened to the criticism for once as they tried to fix some of the problems of S1. After many years it didn't feel like that the creators hate the character, or using him as a prop, or a plot device. It was a story about Loki. A bittersweet story for the god of stories.

The whole way down to the first-floor lobby, Loki was floating. From the moment you saw the burns on his wrists, you had shown him nothing but patience, empathy, and kindness at a level he hadn’t experienced fore. Outside of his mother, and you did remind him of his mother’s golden heart and that fact made him smile, he didn’t have anyone who had stood up for him like you had. You even risked the job you loved, your life’s work and passion. For him! Why did you do that? Loki stole glances of you every chance he got, trying to understand why a pure soul such as yourself, would care so selflessly for a monster like him. It perplexed him and delighted him all at the same time.
It also made him feel both worthy, and unworthy to be in your presence and that feeling only got worse as you walked together into the Stark Tower lobby. The very lobby where he once was shackled for his crimes against New York and whisked away to rot inside a glass box in Asgard. It was midmorning, and the lobby was hustling and bustling with people and Loki felt all eyes on him. The embarrassing outfit didn’t help. He was acutely aware of how short his pants were with each step he took. He could deal with the ridiculous decal of wolves adorned on his chest, but the high waters made him cringe.
But every time he laid eyes on you, all that embarrassment faded away. As long as he was with you, he was okay. He had that feeling right away about you, as soon as you met each other, and your vicious tirade against Stark only confirmed that. Unbeknownst to you, you held a god in the palm of your hand because of your sweet gesture. Your delicious backside in those pencil skirts only aided your cause.
Suddenly, you stopped right in front of a set of doubles doors. You took to Loki and offered your hands to him. Immediately, he placed his palms in yours. Norns, he hoped his hands weren’t sweaty.
“Beyond those doors is the parking garage. I will be deactivating a part of your dampeners, so we can leave the building and wander freely outside. If anything happens while we are outside the building, it will mean terrible things for the both of us. Do you understand?”
He looked down at you, loving how he towered over your small frame. After what you have done for him, after all the kindness you have shown him in the past twenty-four hours that had surpassed all he had received in his lifetime so far, he would never betray your trust.
Trust. He felt a pang of regret and guilt at the fact that he started your relationship, albeit a professional one, based on a lie. What if you found out? No, there was no way.
“You can trust me.” He said simply.
You rewarded him with a smile and moved your hands from his and onto the bracelets. Immediately, they picked up on your fingerprints and a hologram screen popped up between the two of you. Tapping away at the screen, your brows were furrowed in concentration as you entered in a code. You looked adorable, Loki thought. With one last tap, the hologram vanished again, and Loki gave the bangles a closer inspection, the cold metal almost touching the tip of his nose.
            “I don’t feel any different.”
“It is just so we can leave. Unfortunately, your magic is still dampened. I’m sorry, Loki.” You frowned, and looking at you, he knew your sentiment was genuine. The only liar here was him, and it was starting to make him feel sick.
            “That’s alright, Darling. Shall we?”
You were the first one to step through the double doors and right before Loki stepped through, he paused. The shocks he felt yesterday were unlike anything he had felt before, but it brought him right back to his horrific time in Thanos’ clutches. The thought of feeling it again was making him tremble, despite his will to keep his panic at bay. His chest tightened, and his breathing became shallower. Then he heard you.
“It’s okay, Loki. You are safe. You won’t get hurt; I promise.” I promise. The prince lifted his crystal blue eyes to you, and he was greeted by your soft, reassuring smile. It was enough to will his body past the threshold. When he emerged on the other side and nothing happened, he let out a long-shuddered breath and smiled back at you.
You led him down a long line of cars, until you reached a small blue sedan. With a few clicks of your keys fob, the car was unlocked, and you invited him to sit in the passenger side.
“Seat belt, please!” You chirped and Loki easily complied. While you were getting yourself situated, Loki took a moment to look around the car. It was in a much better state than your office, but he noticed the same Styrofoam cup in all the cupholders of your car. Every single one.
“You must really like this drink?” Loki asked. Every morsel of information about you made him crave more, even if it was something as minute as your favorite drink. His mind began to wander again to you in his bed – naked, cozy, and his. Your sleepy eyes would flutter open, and he would offer you your favorite drink. The thankful blush you would gift him would be better than any treasure he could find.
“Loki, are you listening?” Your giggle pulled him from his thoughts, and he flushed in embarrassment.
“I am sorry, Darling, can you repeat that?”
“It’s one of my favorite drinks, a coffee that is probably too sweet for my own good, but I love it. Have you had anything like that before?”
The fact that you had a sweet tooth made him grin, “No, I can’t say I have.”
“Would you like to try one? We can grab it on the way to the store. My treat.” You mirrored his grin, and it held a mischievous glint that suggested that you were likely not authorized to do this with him.
“How could I say no to such a generous offer?”
This coffee, it’s…electrifying, Loki thought. Its chocolatey flavor tantalized his taste buds and its hot temperature felt good in his hands and in his belly.
It also made him go a mile a minute. By the time you both made it into the department store, the god was practically bouncing off the walls.
“I have never felt this way before! I feel so, so…alive! This coffee elixir is amazing! Incredible!” He bounced on his heels, practically vibrating, and moving from clothing rack to clothing rack.
“That’s the caffeine in the coffee. It’s a stimulant and gives you energy, but with how you’re reacting I am not envious of the crash that will come later,” You laughed at his childlike glee, “I am surprised it is even affecting you like this. I don’t think I’ve seen Thor this hyper when he drank it.”
He popped his head out from behind a rack of sweaters, a wide, Cheshire grin on his face and flashing one of his wrists, bangles jingling, “Must be the dampeners. What do you think, Darling, green or blue sweater?”
You opened your mouth to answer, but Loki’s lightning speed energy beat you to it, “Green, of course. It is MY color after all and honestly, it is one of the best. No, THEE best color out there, don’t you think? Much better than that brash red that Thor seems to love so much.”
Another laugh escaped your chest despite yourself. You had been on a few shopping trips like this before with some of the other Avengers, including Thor, but it wasn’t nearly as fun. Loki’s unbridled joy was infectious, and you found yourself enjoying it a bit too much.
“Loki, I need to talk about something with you.”
The god stopped right in his tracks, almost losing a few garments that were stacked high in his arms, “What is it, Darling? What’s wrong?”
You smiled at his perceptiveness, “It’s nothing bad, Loki, I assure you. But since we will be working together for some time, I want to go over some things with you. Sort of like rules.”
Loki made his way over to you and heaved the pile of clothes unceremoniously onto the top of another rack, so he could speak to you properly. The seriousness of your eyes made him deflate instantly and his heart clenched in warning. Was this the crash you mentioned?
            “I am listening, Darling.”
You shook your head, “That is one of the things that will need to change. You cannot call me ‘Darlin-”
“Pet then?” Loki said, cutting you off, “Or Dear or Dove? Whichever you fancy, I don’t mind!” The tenderness in his eyes made you glad that you were having this conversation. It also told you; it wouldn’t be easy.
“You cannot call me any endearments like that, Loki. We have a professional relationship and that crosses a line.  It isn’t appropriate. If you wish, you may call me Lady Y/N.” There was a long beat of silence as Loki’s gaze shifted from you to the floor. Something inside Loki shattered. Every time had had indulged himself in a foolish, romantic daydream that consisted of a life with you, a part of him knew it was just that – a fantasy. Nothing about this budding obsession with you made any sense. He just knew how you made him feel
Not only he is a prisoner from another realm, but you’re a mortal. He is a monster, and you are the embodiment of the most radiant star. Besides, Loki was not one for relationships. The dark prince always took lovers, some staying longer than others, but not long enough to grab a hold of his heart. You? You had your hooks in him the first time he heard your voice through the door of that dreadful apartment, but what did Loki expect? A happily ever after?
Someone like him didn’t get happily ever afters.
“That’s quite alright, Lady Y/N” He easily lied, though his glassy eyes gave him away, “But if it is alright with you, I would appreciate your help on deciding on these garments?”
You smiled, though it didn’t reach your eyes, “Of course.”
Trying on the clothes with you sitting outside of the changing room was confusing for Loki. It felt intimate, despite your proclamation about professionalism just moments ago. But his heart was a greedy, masochistic thing and he selfishly just wanted to know what clothes you liked best. He still wanted to impress you. He wanted to look good for you.
The slim cut lines of his black trousers hugged his thick thighs and ass deliciously, or so Loki thought, as he twisted and checked himself in the mirror in the quiet changing room. He slipped on a blue Henley, rolled up his sleeves to expose his muscular forearms, and with one last fluff of his long black locks, he exited. Once his eyes set on you, he grinned, and you beamed at him.
“Loki! You look great!” You said just a tad bit too enthusiastic. You greedily drunk him in under the guise of evaluating his outfit – the god was beautiful, there was no denying it. Twirling your finger, you motioned for him to spin for you, and he happily obliged. He made sure to give you an ample view of his backside as he did, peaking over his shoulder with a smirk.
“You like this? This is considered nice in Midgard?” He feigned ignorance. The prince was not oblivious of the finer garments this planet had to offer, only wearing the best designers.
“Yes, it’s wonderful.” Handsome as ever, you wanted to add. Little did you know, Loki was wondering if your compliment went past his clothes.
“I haven’t seen any other Midgardian’s here. Did you arrange that?” He called out from the changing room.
“Yes! Courtesy of Stark. Sometimes stores like this can be a bit overwhelming if you aren’t used to it.”
Loki emerged yet again from the changing room, and it felt like all oxygen left the area around you. You had told him he didn’t have to show you everything he was trying on, should he so choose, but he insisted on getting your opinion on every clothing item. Every. Single. One.
The low hanging gray sweatpants were no exception.
The god was just slipping on a tight black thermal over his torso, giving you a teasing look at his sculpted belly as he stepped out. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was left to the imagination. Your eyes traveled from the outline of his pectorals to the lines of his Adonis belt, small, curly hairs just peeking out above the drawstring of his pants that led to nirvanda. Every curve of his kingly length was available for your viewing pleasure, and you found yourself swallowing thickly – your throat suddenly very, very dry.
“And this one? What do you think?” Your eyes snapped to his, upon hearing his voice. The purr, undeniable.
Loki saw your momentary brain malfunction and he felt a swell of pride bloom in his chest. Oh, my darling, you like more than you let on.
You cleared your throat, “It’s perfect for a comfy day at home!”
Loki furrowed his brows, now wanting to wear this outfit everywhere just as long as it gets you to look at him like that. “This isn’t something to wear ‘out on the town’ as they say?” He knew this was a more casual outfit, but he loved watching you squirm and struggle to find a place to look.
“Some do, but I don’t think it is appropriate.” Loki suppressed a groan. He hated that word now, ‘appropriate’. What was inappropriate about his affections?
“Was that the last of it?” You asked, having gone through several different outfits for the past hour with the god. Loki sighed, his shoulders slumping.
“Yes, yes, that’s the last of it.”
After purchasing the clothes on Stark’s dime, some of which Loki wore out of the store after refusing to put back on the ‘demon sweatsuit’, you both made your way towards the exit. But not before you passed the woman’s section of the store. There, in all its glory, was the most magnificent gown you had ever seen. The formal gown was covered in delicately crafted sequins and beads and its plunging neckline, low hanging back and sweeping train had you questioning if you were too poor to even stand next to it. It was just a flicker of a glance really, but it was enough of a lingering look to catch Loki’s attention.
“You should try it on.” Loki said over your shoulder, his breath fanning your ear and making you shiver.
“No, there’s no point,” You argued, checking the price tag, and letting out a mirthless laugh. The dress was three times your rent. “Yeah, no.”
Loki stepped next to you, both your gazes admiring the beadwork and sleek lines of the beautiful garment.
“What’s the harm in trying it on? It’s just a bit of fun.” He didn’t turn to you, instead choosing to look at you indirectly and letting his web of reason spin inside your mind. Loki could see the wheels turning, and for a moment he thought you would pass on the opportunity, but you surprised him.
“You’re right. Let’s do it.” She would look like a princess, Loki thought. And after flagging down a rogue employee and shimmying your body into the gown with a few expletives slipping passed your lips, you emerged from the dressing room. You swung the dress in front of you, having to heave the long train due to your short stature. This dress was far too long for you, but it was glorious.
The dumbfounded look on Loki’s face told you as much and you couldn’t help but smirk. Loki’s predictions were correct, you looked like royalty and it sent the god’s mind reeling yet again into another fantasy. A fantasy where you attended a formal event within the Asgardian court, and you held proudly onto his arm. Instead of black, the gown would be in his colors. A deep emerald that perfectly matched his royal leathers. All eyes would be on you, but you would be his. Only his.
“You should buy it. No,” Loki corrected himself, “You NEED to buy it.” Every word he spoke was laced with wonder and awe. His gaze made you feel like you were, in fact, royalty and he was your loyal subject, ready to worship. It made you shift uneasily on the small platform that was in the center of the changing area. You were surrounded by mirrors, each reflection reminding you of who you are and more cruelly, who you weren’t.
You stepped down, “No, I have no reason to wear it and it is way too expensive.” The concept of things being too expensive was new to Loki. Not once did he ever concern himself the price of things, being a prince. If he desired it, he got it and more often than not, he wasn’t the person who even did the monetary exchange. That was someone else’s problem. His only role would be to point, and it would become his.
You had all but fled to the changing room, ripping off the dress as quickly, and as carefully as you could to avoid damaging it and an unwanted bill. There was little reprieve from the anxiety you felt, and you stayed in the changing room to try to find some semblance of peace. Why was it suddenly so hard to breathe?
“You could wear it to one of Stark’s parties!” Loki called from his perch on the couch, just outside of the changing room. It was much like how you sat as he modeled for you, and it made him grin. He would buy all the gowns for you if you just asked.
His grin faltered. If he had money.
“You can even use the little card that Stark gave you! He wouldn’t notice. Just a drop in the proverbial bucket, really.” It occurred to Loki he just wanted you to be happy. To be taken care of, and it made his heart clench at the thought that he couldn’t be that for you. Yet, that very same thought made him scoff. As if he would even have the opportunity to do that. As if he would want to. As if he was worthy.
Stepping out of the changing room, you left your beloved dress hanging behind you. Your eyes were red, Loki noticed, “No, that card is for clients only. It wouldn’t be appro-“
“Appropriate?” Loki finished for you, and you nodded with a long sigh. He really hated that word.
“Let’s head back, okay?” Wordlessly, Loki followed you back to your car, his grip filled with bags of his new Midgardian apparel. The soft sound of music from your radio floated around the vehicle, but it couldn’t replace the heaviness that already filled the air there.
“I didn’t mean to upset you,” Loki suddenly said. Your grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly, before releasing it and giving his hand a reassuring pat.
“You didn’t. It’s okay.” The meaning of those words didn’t quite reach your eyes. Loki sighed and leaned back in his seat. He couldn’t even do this right, whatever this was. The silence resumed and stayed during their walk back to his tiny apartment. You only whispered a soft, ‘sorry’ when reactivating his dampeners. He smiled down at you, but like you, his eyes gave away his sadness.
Just as you turned to leave, you spun to face him, “Oh, before I forget, did you choose your furniture order?”
Loki hummed thoughtfully and retrieved the catalog, now filled with dog eared pages. “I didn’t have a pen,” He chuckled out his explanation and your mouth rounded, squeaking out an ‘oh’. You ruthlessly dug around in your bag and pulled out a pen, handing it to Loki.
“It’s my lucky one. Keep it.” And the prince gladly accepted your gift. He quickly circled all the items he wanted as you peered over his shoulder.
“That set looks really charming. Good choice, Loki.” You smiled up at him, your cheek almost touching his shoulder and making something burn within him. You looked at him as if you hadn’t echoed the very thing, he daydreamed about with you just yesterday.
“I will place the order for you. It will take a couple of weeks for it to come in, but I will see if I can rush the order for you, okay?”
Loki felt utterly deflated. This day was such a roller coaster of emotions for him. Each happy moment with you elating his cold heart, but each crash reminding him of why he shouldn’t even entertain the idea of a romantic relationship. Not with a mortal, and certainly not with you.
“Thank you for your service today, Lady Y/N. I sincerely appreciate it.” And he meant every word. Even with his heart cracking, he treasured every morsel of kindness you had so freely given him. You nodded, and left silently, leaving him in his apartment for another evening alone yet again.
Periodically, his thoughts would drift to you and each time, the prince would try to cast them away. But a bored mind has nothing left to do, but wander. Sitting down in his armchair, he opened his flip phone and brought up the photo of your smiling face. The butterflies in his stomach were instantaneous.
The feeling of the sun always felt amazing on his skin, even if he burned him.

Again, I don't want to scare you or ruin your mood, but the Mobius you see in the currently released footage is our Mobius from season 1. He doesn't have his memories erased and he fully remembers Loki and everything that happened in season 1.
I'm saying this now because I don't want you to be disappointed when the show comes out. This very much is the same Mobius and I would tame certain expectations regarding his arc. I know some plot points of the season and I can reveal them in a separate private ask if you want.
Now you're worrying me, but please let me rant a little bit about the "new Mobius" theory (which is just an assumption I made from the recent releases, nothing cerebral).
So, we know that the Mobius Loki meets at the very end of s1 is a Mobius who doesn't know who Loki is ("who are you? What division are you from?" still haunts me).
Tumblr media
In the first and never-seen trailer of Loki s2, the one they showed at the Disney Plus day or whatever that was called, we saw an extra scene (not shown in the recent released trailer) where Mobius and Loki are sitting at a table (where, we don't know) and Mobius is asking Loki "who said you were?" (probably replying to Loki's "I don't want to be the problem anymore Mobius", we couldn't hear the exact words because people were applauding and that was a leaked video).
(I can't find the leaked scene pics but this is the scene. The one I'm talking about is an extra dialogue that wasn't shown in the recent trailer).
Tumblr media
Loki answers Mobius, "I don't know. My mother, my brother, the Avengers, Odin etc etc and... you". Mobius smiles softly. We all assumed that Mobius had no memory of what happened in season 1, so he doesn't recall calling Loki the villain, or accusing him of being a murderer (then fixing it saying Loki can be "whoever or whatever you wanna be, even someone good" btw). That's why he smiles, like saying "oh, didn't know that, sorry".
Also, I think the "lemon cake scene" takes place after Loki and Sylvie's reunion at the McDonald (and Mobius is there too). There's a scene where we see Loki and Sylvie, in the same rounded room with the cakes, talking (they're alone, Mobius isn't there anymore). That's in the trailer. Sylvie is wearing her own clothes again.
Tumblr media
I assumed this scene takes place after the McDonald reunion and after Loki and Sylvie (and Mobius) have fought together (against what we don't know), and here Loki and Sylvie are confronting each other once again. But whether this scene is set before of after the fight, it must be at the beginning of the series (like in episode 2 or 3?).
This is the fight (you can see Mobius behind Sylvie):
Tumblr media
The lemon cake scene was the one people has been calling the "jetski cafe scene" since the first leaked trailer, but I don't think that's from the jetski cafe set. I think it looks more like a TVA room (look at the circles on the top in the prev pic). We have zero scenes of the jetski set, except the one where Loki is surrounded by jet skis.
Tumblr media
(if in this scene mobius doesn't show up I'm gonna sue marvel)
By the way, what makes me believe this Mobius doesn't know/remember who Loki is (besides the fact that we saw it at the end of s1), is how Mobius talks to Loki. In this scene, which may be set at the beginning while the two of them are searching for Kang (before Sylvie's return? Or later?), Mobius says "you're a man of action, which is fine... while I take a more slow deliberate cerebral approach... this is a good pie!". Like, why does he need to say that? They already know each other, don't they? It could be Mobius just joking around, but it sounds strange.
Tumblr media
Why, if this is the same old Mobius, should he asks "who said you were?" to Loki when he perfectly knows Loki's backstory, and their own beginning of relationship? Why does he have to say he's not a man of action while Loki is? It all sounds very much like a Mobius who doesn't know/remember who Loki is, but he's teaming up with him again, ready to believe in him as he has always done.
Being said so, if you know something you can write me in private! There many rumors (a major character being killed off, the jet skis scene, and more) and I'm starting to get quite nervous and my expectations are pretty low (they have been so since the last episode of s1 which ruined my whole vacation day and I will never forgive marvel for doing that shit).
End of the rant!

Hello [redacted].
You know who you are. You have shown time and time again you feel no remorse for the hurt and pain you forced your own children through.
You abused your eldest daughter, constantly degrading were for being Autistic while claiming to were to be Autistic yourself. This psychiatric report says otherwise; you lied to were. You told were that were wasn’t as good as were younger sister and step-siblings.
But the worst crime isn’t even the abuse. You’ve now decided to hide behind a false name and persona to escape your crimes, while throwing the entire Trans community under the bus with 0 regard for the consequences your actions will bring to them.
Jail couldn’t hold you. And you were never going to learn a thing. But now, you will be forced to. Before you is a series of games that will push your senses to their limits. You will bleed, you will be blinded and deafened, you will starve and thirst, and yet it will not stop. The only way out is through the very little girl you abused all those years ago. But, if you are as “smart” as you think you are, you’ll recognise that the little girl is long gone and cannot help you now.
In other words; you burned your bridges. None of your family want you. Let’s hope your serial killer ghost of a ‘boyfriend’ will save you from the torment you enforced on your own child.
And don’t think death is an escape. Were Gods are waiting for you; Fenrir loves putting an abuser in their place. Specifically; into his jaws. Loki hates abusers with all his guts. You managed to make the chaotic neutral God of change and mischief infuriated. He loves playing tricks; who knows what he will do? Sigyn will show you no compassion. For you deserve none. Angrboda will show you the true rage of a mother scorned. Jormungandr will make you feel powerless. And Hel will not let you return to the living to “make amends”, no matter what you plead. And maybe, just maybe, that little girl’s grandfather, the man you scorned the minute you laid a finger on were, will watch. Silent. Unmoving. You rejected his help long ago. Why would he want to help now?
Make like Emperor Belos and die, you miserable excuse for a human being. No one will remember you. No one will mourn you. And, I hope that I shouldn’t have to spell this out; your spirit is not welcome around your “daughter”. Ever. If you try, then I know for a fact were will curse you. Show you the monster you created.
You will not see the light of day again.

In which the Loki variant from the episode that lives in my head dies in battle with He Who Remains (Kang? Is it Kang? Are they one and the same? I haven’t watched Quantumania so I’m unclear if this is supposed to be the same character? I’m assuming so?)
Anyways, this is just self-indulgent art cuz I’ll never be able to write the story I have in mind but I can attempt to do some scenes from it.
More ramblings under the cut
Originally I was thinking Sigyn would also wear Loki’s colors to show they’re a united front, but I like the idea of her having her own color palette and then each of them having some small details as a nod to the other, at least when it comes to their battle clothes. I gave Sigyn here blue and gold with some green here and there for Loki, and Loki got a bit of Sigyn’s blue.
If they had been given a chance to grow old together their colors would probably blend more as sometimes happens with old couples (ha), but alas they never got that chance. Sigyn also gets pointy elf ears cuz who knows maybe she’s a descendant of the Dark Elves somewhere along the line. Who’s ta say?
Back to the story/episode idea:
It’s been about a week since TVA Loki and Mobius have shown up in Sigyn’s timeline. They’re still searching for this timeline’s HWR and haven’t had any luck so they decide they need to draw him out. Not sure how yet, it’s a WIP, but at any rate one evening there’s a party at the palace. Not sure why, maybe someone’s birthday, or they’re just having a good old fashioned “it’s winter, let’s feast” party or something idk.
Everyone’s having a good time but Sigyn has been a bit melancholic since Loki returned dredging up old memories. She leaves the party discreetly and goes to this one long hallway where there’s a massive long memorial relief depicting Loki’s life, culminating in the battle where her Loki was killed.
She’s alone, or thinks she is, as she runs her fingers over the carving of her Loki. She smiles as tears form, she’s thinking about their time together when she senses someone there with her. She begins to speak:
“We were just kids when I met him. You…him…” She turns as our Loki comes out of the shadows to stand beside her. “Millennia ago now, but I remember it like yesterday…”
So she walks Loki down the hallway telling him their story. How they fell in love, how Thor had decided he didn’t want the throne because he fell in love with a mortal woman and how her Loki didn’t want it either, he didn’t feel worthy of it, but he was. And he was good at being king, he was loved by his people and they all mourned with her the day he died
Scene ends with her holding Loki’s face in her hands and just smiling and saying thank you cuz she got to see him again. Loki’s full of all the emotions and before Sigyn wanders off into the night he hugs her and holds her for a while. She also takes the opportunity to “borrow” Loki’s TemPad (unbeknownst to him. She’s a trickster too, after all, learned from the best). She’s curious about this whole time jumping, fate of the multiverse stuff
At the end of this so-called episode, after they’ve caught this timeline’s HWR and returned to the TVA with him so they can read his temporal aura and hopefully prevent the meltdown of the loom, Sigyn has a talk with her sons, telling them it’s their time to rule. When she’s alone, she pulls out the TemPad, activating it: it’s time for her to have adventures of her own

Achievement Unlocked: Time Travel
Looks like I got the time slipping theory right. Loki learned how to teleport himself - or maybe his own consciousness - to different points in time. He's travelling within and between timelines without the need of TVA tech.
I think Sylvie can do it, too, since she's a Loki variant. Whether she will do it, though, remains to be seen.
Remember how He Who Remains said BOTH Loki Variants had to rule the TVA? Maybe he was referring to this. Maybe, in Episode 6, an event will happen which will compel Sylvie to learn how to time travel as well. And together, with Loki, they might save the TVA.
Or maybe this is Loki's story, as he said it himself, and he's the lone hero that is destined to save the day. But it would be cooler if Kang's prophecy were fulfilled.
On another matter, Kang was shown in the mid-Season 2 trailer. It's possible he'll show up after the Loom is fixed. Either he'll issue a threat to Loki or offer a partnership.
Remember, the Sacred Timeline is now officially devoid of a Kang Variant. Victor Timely will likely not survive, which means other Kang Variants might see this as an opportunity to seize power.
And since Loki is likely the official "Guardian" of his own timeline, his own universe, along with the TVA, the other Kang Variants might challenge him for his position.
Who will take the throne to govern ALL timelines, for all time, always? My bet is that Loki's problems are just starting, and we'll witness the beginning of the Multiversal War at the end of Episode 6

A bit of a rant: on Sylvie
Okay, look, as a preface: I do not hate Sylvie. I feel like I see a lot of hate for the character from a lot of people not Sylkie shippers, and I definitely do not hate her, even if the ship is something I struggle to see.
I actually like Sylvie's character a lot. She has had to struggle and fight and flee for something like a thousand years. I honestly don't begrudge her desire to stay in a quiet universe and just live a life. I want that for her, even.
Is she being a huge dick to Loki every time they interact this season? Yes. She refuses to listen to him (though he isn't being entirely straight with her either, to be fair), and she continually belittles his own choices and refuses to take responsibility for her own. She blames him and the TVA for the destruction of timelines, even though Dox's crew was, at the time, acting as a rogue element, and the issues that the timelines and TVA are currently facing are entirely her fault.
Again, I totally understand why she didn't listen to Loki at the end of season 1. It makes sense that she wouldn't want trust anything that He Who Remains had to say, and it makes sense that she wouldn't trust Loki at all. She barely knows him, and she's been alone her entire life. She doesn't really remember her life before the TVA ruined it. She has no friends, no allies. So yes, it was foolish of her to not stop and think for like ten seconds, but killing He Who Remains had been her ultimate goal for centuries. Of course she was going to do it.
HOWEVER. Because she killed He Who Remains, the multiverse is in danger. And just because I understand her inability to accept responsibility for her actions, does not mean I condone it. The lady is incredibly emotionally stunted. Of course she doesn't know how to take responsibility. She's been blaming other people for her problems her entire life (and most of that was 100% justified). To stop doing so now, when she hasn't had a chance to learn, would be bad writing.
I am all for a good character arc and a redemption story. Loki's himself has been...a little rushed. And they haven't touched on the trauma that was his time Before New York at all since that like, thirty seconds in season 1. Sure, he mentions NY a little flippantly here in season 2, but we all know that was just a way to get Mobius to talk. Point is, they have set Sylvie up for a good character arc, and kind of fast tracked Loki's without actually talking about some of the things I'm most interested in, but...eh, whatever. I can rant about that another time.
What I don't understand though, is Sylkie shippers. Like...number one, are we watching the same show? Season 1 seemed to have some unrequited pining going on, on Loki's side, especially before Loki and Mobius made up, but Sylvie has never shown any interest in Loki beyond that of a tentative ally. And really, there's no reason she should. When would Sylvie have had time, ever in her life, to think of romance beyond, possibly, an errant daydream? And this season, it really seems like she can hardly stand him.
Every time they interact, she lashes out, she tries to hurt him. She has told him, unequivocally, to leave her alone, multiple times. She listened to him say that he feared being alone most of all, and then she left him (I assume she has a tab at that bar, otherwise who the hell paid for those shots, and also, I've never met a bartender who would hear 'two bourbons' and just pour shots immediately, if it isn't a common order for that patron, but that's yet another rant for another day).
Like, she just seems to be going out of her way to be cruel, to drag him down, to blame him for everything, and to paint him as the bad guy. Sure, he wants to have his friends back, and maybe that IS selfish, but he ALSO wants to save the TVA because he believes that will save the multiverse, and that isn't, but she knows that once she pokes any holes in the story he's concocted for himself, he's only going to dwell on the bad side. Which he does. Her goal, I assume, is to get him out of her hair and leave her alone. She doesn't want to be involved with all this TVA stuff anymore. And...yeah, fair enough, except that the multiverse is actively disintegrating. Which is at least...oh, 45% her fault. (I'll grant that most of the fault lies on the heads of the old TVA, He Who Remains and Ravonna. And maybe like 3% Loki's fault. Everyone can take somewhat a share of the blame, but she really was trying to do the most. And she is the only one of our 'heroes' who hasn't taken any responsibility for the problems now facing the multiverse).
Look, I have shipped Loki with almost every single character he has had screen time with, if the story is well written enough for it to make sense. I've even read a Sylkie story that I actually managed to really get behind. (It took place before season 2, the premise being that in their fight at the Citadel, there was an accident and they ended up in Westview during the events of Wandavision, and were paired as a husband/wife duo for the show. It made sense, and there was enough of a build of their relationship that I was like...yeah, sure).
The writers of this show have NOT done their due diligence to make Sylkie make sense. In season 1, I could see that he might have a thing for her. But I never saw that being reciprocated.
Sylvie needs friends, she needs to learn how to trust, she needs stability, and she needs to figure out who she is as a person when she isn't on the run. She does NOT need a romance. A romance at this stage would be incredibly bad for her, really, if we give a shit about a fictional character's mental health.
I like Sylvie as a character. I think her arc has been interesting, but she is definitely still in the middle of it, and it is nowhere near resolved. I can't see a single instance in the show where she showed a romantic interest in Loki. (And...what, she kissed him? That was only to get him distracted enough to kick him out a time door so she could kill He Who Remains).
If this season ends with Sylkie endgame, I will have honestly lost faith in Marvel's ability to write a good story entirely. If they want the two of them to be together, they have to write them together. They have to actually be a team, not just constantly bickering (or in this season, Loki begging for her help and her telling him to stuff it). She only comes to help because her own universe gets shredded, not because she wanted to help Loki or save the other universes. She would not be good for him, at least not right now. That relationship would be hella toxic. Has she ever done anything for him? Just for him, not because he was useful to her in some way?
Look, TL;DR, I like Sylvie as a character and I want to see her grow and thrive, but Sylkie makes no sense and if they go that route this season it is bad writing. MCU has always been bad at romance and character development, but this would take the cake.

The Sun and Her Flowers
Read on AO3
Warnings: None
Relationship: Loki/Reader
Summary:
You and Loki finally settle into the domestic life you deserve, and you couldn't be happier. (Or, a complete fluff bomb where Loki gets his happy ending.)
A/N:
hello! i'm so new to writing small one-shots, so i hope this one is good :) i'm still working on Hold My Hand, and I'm like 3/4 done with the next chapter, but in the meantime i wanted to write some fluff <3
You loved to watch your garden bloom in springtime.
You watered each and every plant with such tender care and love, humming sweet songs to yourself as you went. There was something about gardening that felt so right, so at peace, that you dedicated your life to exploring it. To expanding it as far as you could.
After Thor’s coronation, and the declaration of Loki as his royal advisor, you and Loki decided to take a step back from the spotlight that came with being members of the royal family. As the Prince and Princess of Asgard, you of course had certain responsibilities and functions you must attend, appearances and galas and whatever else the good King Thor could come up with. But a quiet life was all the two of you desired.
The years hadn’t been kind to Loki. He still grieved the life he once lived, and mourned the person he was before. In all his time with you, he had learned to release the anger he held toward his father and brother. He met you at a dire crossroad in his life, on the verge of acting drastically in an attempt to prove that he was worthy of the pride Odin showed Thor, despite Loki’s true parentage. You, though. You’d shown Loki unconditional love, without lies, without secrets.
You were there when Odin fell into Odinsleep. When he woke, only to pass not long after. You were there when time took Frigga as well, her bright, twinkling eyes fading into beautiful and revered memory. You held him when his shoulders shook in grief and pain for months following. And you loved him even more as he became the man his mother always knew he could be.
When Loki had presented this lovely place for the two of you, a modest countryside home - or as modest as a Prince can get - you couldn’t believe it. He knew, and listened, to your desires of a simpler life. One where you could use the gardening knowledge you’d gotten from Frigga during your lessons, where you could learn to be a homemaker without the bustling of staff around you. You’d wanted a quiet home for your future children, where they would learn of a life without the pressure of royal perfection.
Thor was all too happy to allow the move. With Loki as his advisor, they had fitted a device that strengthened Loki’s ability to travel in and out of the palace with ease, and for Thor to reach you if needed.
But in the evenings, when Loki’s work was done and your garden was glistening in the setting sun, you lived the life you’d always desired. Sitting by the fire with each other, limbs tangled, cheeks flushed, speaking in hushed voices about the events of the day, you felt your heart grow every day for your husband.
-
As you continued to garden, you heard the telltale sound of Loki returning, and you hurried inside to greet him.
“Hello, darling,” He said, his eyes brightening when he saw you.
You smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck and placing a gentle peck on his lips. “How was everything today? Did the two of you sort out the final arrangements for his,” You lifted your hands to motion air-quotes, “‘post-coronation’ ball?”
He rolled his eyes, chuckling. “We did. He insists it’s not to celebrate the coronation itself, but to celebrate the new start for Asgard, but I saw him choosing the drink list.” He lowered his voice, pressing his forehead to yours as if guarding a secret between your bodies, “Between you and me, I do believe our lovely King plans on letting himself particularly loose at this ball.”
You laughed, tossing your head back. “He was always a partier, was he not? Don’t think I don’t remember the stories of the Mighty Thor, protector of Asgard and resident drinking champion.”
You had been around for many years, and Thor never changed. Your brother-in-law was always lighthearted, trying his very best to make the people around him laugh even when the pressure on him was tremendous. Watching him grow over the years, you could see Loki realize how much work Thor was putting in to be the leader Asgard needed, and even now you could see the respect and pride Loki had in his brother despite his antics.
That night, after the two of you had enjoyed a meal together, you lay in the bath before bed. You sat between Loki’s legs, his arms wrapped tightly around you as your back pressed against his chest.
“You’re so beautiful, you know,” He said quietly. “I worry I do not tell you enough.”
You leaned your head back, pressing a light kiss under his chin, smiling at the way he still shivered slightly at your touch. “You tell me every day, my love.”
“Perhaps I should tell you twice daily.” He pressed a kiss to your ear. “Or thrice.” His hands rubbed up and down your arms.
You hummed. “Prince Loki, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were up to something right now.”
He let out a low chuckle in your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. “My dearest. You should know by now, I am always up to no good when I am with you.”
-
Later, you laid in bed sated and happy, facing each other in the soft candlelight.
“Thank you.” You said simply, watching as his face crinkled in confusion.
“For what?” He asked.
You rested a hand on his cheek and he leaned into it, pressing a kiss to your palm. “For loving me.”
His eyes opened slowly and you basked in the way he looked at you with a sort of reverence, as if he was worshiping you. “I will always love you, my heart. You have shown me what it’s like to grow, to bloom. You are my ray of sunshine and I am the garden you have tended with such love and care, and I swear to you until my dying breath that my heart is yours.”
You leaned in and kissed him with wet eyes, and neither of you got much sleep that night.
-
You were gardening again.
You woke slowly in the morning, a note on your bedside table left behind by Loki as he left for work.
I hope you dreamed of me, It read.
You stood in the light of the sun, enjoying how it always felt on your skin. You loved its warmth, the comfort it could bring you as you knelt in the soil, adding to your beloved display.
Life continued, slowly. Asgard changed for the better, while Thor ruled with a kindness the kingdom had not seen in a long time. Loki worked tirelessly beside him, returning to you with proud eyes each day he was able to make a positive change. Every hand he shook, every expression of gratitude he received, showed him that he was worth everything.
At nights, when you were alone, the two of you had long conversations like you were still in your youth; whispered jokes and quiet giggles, secret glances at each other as you sat in different parts of the room. You couldn’t have asked for anything better.
And, when the time was right, your family expanded, and the sounds of small feet became a welcome addition to your lives. As you sat listening to the giggling of your children playing in the garden, your husband’s warm laughter behind them, you smiled to yourself.

so i saw a post (originating in Leverage fandom) recently drawing a parallel between this exchange from Leverage S3E16 (San Lorenzo Job)
Moreau: I have the media. I have the guns. I-I have the… government. Nate: You know what I have? I have a 24-year-old genius with a Smartphone and a problem with authority. You really never stood a chance.
And this exchange from Avengers (2012)
Loki: I have an army Tony: We have a Hulk
And I know this is primarily a Leverage blog, but I have to channel my Avengers(2012)-obsessed, Science Boyfriends (Bruce Banner/Tony Stark) shipper self from 2013 for a moment and say that I think there's a fundamental difference between these scenes.
The Leverage scene, to me, at least, reads as about Nate's confidence in and pride regarding Hardison's ability to take on an entire country, the media, the guns, etc. Emphasis on the 24yo-genius-with-a-smartphone-and-a-problem-with-authority and how dangerous that could be for his enemies.
The Avengers scene, however, while superficially similar, is not about Tony thinking the Hulk can take on an army. It's about Tony's confidence that Bruce is going to come back. Indeed, the next line in the Avengers scene is this:
Loki: I thought the beast had wandered off.
Because, like, the beast had wandered off. Bruce had earlier only been with the Avengers because he was tricked (by a little 6-year-old agent! and you've got to know someone like him wouldn't like the idea of child agents, and especially people who would use a child agent against the Hulk) into walking into Natasha's trap and then got talked into joining them on the Helicarrier where he learned that they had built a prison just for him.
(So they could kill him, but they can't--he knows; he's tried. (Yes, even a decade later, I remember every Bruce Banner line in this movie.))
The emphasis is not on the fact that he's the Hulk, but on the fact that they have him. Because at the moment, they don't have him: the beast had wandered off, and there was no reason to think that he'd come back.
Nobody else thinks that Bruce would come back: Recall this exchange, right before Bruce comes back, while the Avengers are assembling.
Tony: Where's Banner? Has he shown up, yet? Steve: Banner? Tony: Just keep me posted.
Like, Steve (who's ostensibly the leader of the team) clearly does not think Banner is going to show up. Nobody else seems to think he's going to show up, either.
Hell, even Banner himself does not seem to think he's going to show up to help his fellow Avengers, or that the Hulk can even be helpful. Recall this earlier exchange on the Helicarrier, before everything went to hell:
(Conversation starts at 3:09, but I think the entire scene is pretty informative regarding what Tony's getting at here:)
youtube
Tony: That's the guy my dad never shut up about? Wondering if they shouldn't have kept him on ice. Bruce: Guy's not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us. Tony: What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit. It's gonna blow up in his face. And I'm going to be there when it does. Bruce: Yeah? I'll read all about it. Tony: Mm-hmm. Or you'll be suiting up with the rest of us. Bruce: Nah, you see. I don't get a suit of armour. I'm exposed, like a nerve--it's a nightmare. Tony: You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart. *points at the mini-arc reactor in his chest* This stops it. This little circle of light. It's part of me now, not just armor. It's a... terrible privilege. Bruce: But you can control it. Tony: Because I learned how. Bruce: It's different. [Bruce tries to read the computer screen, but Tony slides the data aside with his finger so the two can see face-to-face] Tony: Hey, I've read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you. Bruce: So you're saying that the Hulk... the other guy... saved my life? That's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Saved it for what? Tony: I guess we'll find out. Bruce: You might not like that. Tony: And you just might.
So, yeah, I don't think it can get any more clear than this. The Hulk has never been anything but a monster and a threat to everyone Bruce loved, but Tony, only Tony, sees something positive, maybe even human, in him.
Tony's so confident, not that the Hulk can tear apart the Chitauri army, but that he'd try, and that he'd do it without also hurting the people Bruce cares about. That he'd want to help the people Bruce cares about. That he'd be on their side. That they have him.
Even when they first meet, you see Tony having more confidence in Bruce and the Hulk than Bruce does:
(Conversation starts at 1:23, but, again, this whole scene shows how naturally Tony gets Bruce to relax and draws him out of his shell when Bruce is already on-edge on a helicarrier 30,000 feet above ground with a room specifically designed to kill him)
youtube
Look at how dejected Bruce seems at even the mention of the Hulk. But Tony gets out there right at the start that the Hulk doesn't bother him in the least.
(Steve also says something like this,
Steve: Word is you can find the cube. Bruce: Is that the only word on me? Steve: Only word I care about.
Except as later scenes make clear, Steve is just being kind/polite there. He is terrified of the Hulk, just like Bruce is. Tony, by contrast, is actually being honest.)
Interestingly, at the beginning of the first video I linked above, Bruce doesn't back Tony up. In his argument with Steve, Tony asks Bruce to back him up, "It's bugging him, too, isn't it?"
But Bruce doesn't back him up. "I just wanna finish my work here...", until Steve asks him to back Tony up.
Yet despite all this, despite all of Bruce pushing back against Tony, all the, "Last time I was in New York, I kind of... broke... Harlem," in response to Tony's more-than-generous invitation, all the not-backing-Tony-up until Steve asks him to,
Tony knows that Bruce is going to come back for him. He knows, given Bruce's "Oh, shit--" right before the Helicarrier gets attacked that Bruce knows where the cube is going to be, that Bruce knows that Stark Tower is in danger, and that Bruce is going to come back to protect him. And Bruce does exactly that.
Also, in the end, Hulk is not the one who delivers the killing blow with the Chitauri.
In the Leverage episode, Hardison is the one who delivers the killing blow. It turns out not even to matter how the vote count comes out or what the media is saying, because Hardison managed to email every single resident of San Lorenzo.
But while all the Avengers definitely contributed, and the Hulk delivers the first major blow (punching out that Chitauri space whale as it flies in, guided by Tony "Tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you"), it's unequivocally Tony who delivers the killing blow with the Chitauri by flying that nuke through the portal.
But you know what the Hulk does at the climax of the film?
Tumblr media
yeah.
He comes back for Tony.

On "Lady Loki" PSA: You mean Loki being Femme?
“Lady Loki” is NOT Loki being genderfluid. The name is a mixture of “Lady Sif” (because Sif’s title is “Lady” like “Lord”) and “Loki” because Loki stole Sif’s body after Ragnarok ensued, and trapped her in a dying old lady’s body. Loki first shows up possessing Sif’s body in Thor Vol. 3 # 5 back in 2007. Loki continued to use male pronouns in Sif’s body, but just gets misgendered by everyone else. And as much as I love aspects of Loki’s characterization in that era, having that plotline in this political climate would be awful, incredibly damaging, and way more problematic than anything the Loki show gets accused of. I need people to know what the fuck they’re talking about before they refer to wanting "Lady Loki" in the Loki show because this is what you're talking about.
Tumblr media
I will be open and say I am not a fan of much of the majority of Thor comics. They are fucking annoying and read like some Gary Stu male fantasy because they’re always going off about how Thor is the fucking best and his plot armor makes him the only and best choice to be Asgard’s ruler despite there being other characters with similar qualities in Asgard but Thor’s “just better”. The misogyny is off the charts in these with all the ridiculously and impractically scantily clad “warrior” women that all want to fuck Thor and have little personality past that. I also loathe the “Loki’s just evil” crap. My fascination with them is more like gawking and wanting to be pissed off. Plus, I find pre-reincarnation Marvel comics!Loki to be a fascinating study of a Comics Code Authority/Hayes code era villain (and I kinda root for him because the narrative annoys me). He’s up there with all the Disney villains despite not originally being Disney.
In those pre-reincarnation comics that often piss me off, Loki is meant to evoke disgust and to “disturb” through his failure to be the epitome of manliness. Marvel has tried to distance themselves from that once they had their “Are we the baddies?” epiphany by retconning Asgard to be more progressive. It kinda annoys me because panels exist where they’re being queerphobic to Loki. To me, it’d feel more organic if Asgard was shown going through societal change rather than “We have always been progressive, what the fuck are you talking about?” But that's just me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I remember when Loki was about to come out as bisexual in the comics on 2013 after becoming very popular largely due to Tom Hiddleston’s Loki (Young Avengers #13 where he flirts with Prodigy, followed by Agent of Asgard revealing he's a genderfluid shapeshifter in 2014), queer organizations expressed concern over the whole “queer-coded villain á la Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.” If you are not familiar with Buffalo Bill, he is the main antagonist from Thomas Harris’s very copagandic and transphobic book, Silence of The Lambs, the book with Hannibal Lecter (played by Anthony Hopkins who plays MCU!Odin lol) where he’s like “I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. T-sss-tsss-tss.”
Buffalo Bill is said to not be a “real transgender”, whatever the fuck that means especially with all the policing around bodily autonomy, and some statistic about how transgenders are the least likely to be violent is shoehorned in, but everything about the character ends up being a queerphobic trope. The “difference” is that Jame Gumb “thinks” he wants to be a woman but doesn’t actually want to be (the transphobia in this book is off the charts).
I am glad Loki has gotten redemption arcs of sorts, because a lot of the tropes employed on comics!Loki just pissed me off. And I am glad MCU!Loki never went through the transphobic possession storyline in the name of being "comics-accurate".
The easiest way to represent genderfluidity in the MCU with a casting choice that predates Loki's coming out in comics would be through dialogue in the magic-less TVA. Have Loki say that her pronouns are she/her while looking the same because people can't shapeshift in real life.
I have seen criticism about the comics' "Genderfluid Shapeshifter" trope not being accurate. But even if it's not "accurate" to the real world, from what I've been told, Loki being a part of the genderfluid shapeshifter trope or that trope in general is not an issue, because lots of genderfluid and trans folks enjoy that kind of fantasy. And Marvel's Loki is based on a shapeshifter of the same name from Norse mythology that is most people's first introduction to the concept of genderfluidity (myth!Loki was my first exposure to the concept and they're a shapeshifter).

Why do people even say that Bayonetta 3 story sucked? Didn't like story was always bad in these games?
Okay, so here's one important thing I've already said before: Bayonetta 3 story is SO bad that people who didn't even cared in the slightest about Bayos story or thought it was bad before said / say THIS ONE was really bad.
And here's the thing - it's actual truth. Like sure, we can pretend that Bayos story was masterpiece here and it never done anything wrong but that's just a lie. By videogame standarts the story is bad, especially in recent years when storytelling has evolved. By media story standarts and is general it's even worse and even more rough. But thing is Bayos doesn't have to be more than just character AND fun. Because gameplay is what people are after (the general audience) and it's always been like that. Noone was expecting some God of War level narrative or even Nier that is riddled with good stuff. (you know, as more action game as an example) Like look at Metal gear rising in retrospect and how it's wacky story got more love over the years, despite being hated at start. BECAUSE IT'S FUN. AND BOTH BAYOS, with it's flaws but still, WERE FUN AND HAD CHARACTERS. AN HAD CHARACTER. Like the stories are a mess, but regardless of that, the characters were fun and therefore you as a viwer had fun. It had action pieces, there was drama (i'd say to some degree it's genuine), there was humor. And again I think one of parts that played into it - Bayonetta was a character I haven't seen in games before like that. Like her figurine and style was a priority, but she still SHOWN to have emotions - she cared for Cereza, she cared for Jeanne, she cared for Luka, she cared for Loki, she cared for Balder despite knowing his fate, same goes for Rosa, even if it was for a brief moment. Ahd these moments are memorable, some of the favorite parts for many people. And Bayo3 just doesn't have that. Bayo in Bayo3 is so stiff - no care for other versions not really (on the surface levels at best), her relationship with Viola is kind of cranky too like she cares but it's alright like it's probably the strongest one (ugh), no care for Jeanne (except some hesitation with Egyptian one I guess) REMEMBER HOW WORRIED SHE WAS ABOUT HER IN BAYO2???? SURE MISS THAT ONE. Sure love how she shoot her mother and barely shows emotion, SURE THAT IS FUN WHEN CHARACTERS DON'T GIVE A FUCK, RIGHT? OH THAT IS BADASS AHA. Even with Luka, it's like whatever, so supposedly the most important component of the story isn't there either. Like it was basic and not engaging in any moment. Like, it's just a simple formula imo: Baoy3 story is weak, because Bayonettas characterisation in Bayo3 is weak. I think the whole excuse of "well, that's Cereza not Bayo" is SOOOO lame. Like, she was a child, we've seen her as a child. IF ANYTHING, she would be MORE fun and MORE charasmatic and MORE joyful.
And, like, not a lot of action-slasher protagonist get development. Like, look at Dante - for his five games he's different in almost all of them and yet he saves the characteristics he has. Even if different people were writing him, they at least tried to be consistent and one important thing - even if they introduced Nero "to pass a torch" they didn't somehow a) killed Dante b) didn't killed his character, what he is and I think that just felt so refreshing when new character-kid gets introduced c) he still remained the most fun of the cast, because didn't took so seriously. and i hate when people compare them, but it's the best example of things done with action franchise rightfuly But Bayo3 is just tries soooooooo hard to be this serious narrative which it never should been in the first place. Like what could be fun than meeting four (plus two at end) different Bayos??? AND THEY FUCKED IT UP BY TREATING THIS CONFLICT SO SERIOUSLY, YOU DON'T EVEN GET TO KNOW THEM AND THEY JUST WASTED FOR NO REASON. Like at this point just make a fun ride. Instead cutscenes drag longer than they should, they are not as entertaining as they should, support cast gets aside but this Bayonetta can't carry this solo, Viola isn't there for long either so it doesn't commit to that part either. THIS GAME HAS A PLOT TWIST VILLIAN??????? LMAO BITCH??????? AND HIS MOTIVATIONS ARE CLEAR ONLY IN CODEX???????????? NEVER DO THAT?? (THAT'S REALLY BAD STORYTELLING) IN FACT A LOT STUFF IS IN THE CODEX????? LIKE U ARE NOT DARK SOULS, THAT'S NOT HOW LORE WORKS. Not to mention, I think this time the ending is the worst one out of all. Last bosses suck (they do in prevous too, but at least they are grand and epic or something), but you also have to sit through TWO endings and you get lame ass dance sequences at the end (the credits one is sooo much better). And it's just drags and drags, like it's not only shitty but story standarts, it's just shitty in a way it conveys things. I would say to some degree it's even worse. Like bad thing is already bad, but then it lasts longer - OOF.

I'm obsessed with your Loki fics. Your ideas are so fucking cool!!! So unique, so well written, so creative!!! I just keep rereading them.
The Weeping Siren kills me every time.
Allow me to share with you my Loki hyperfixation's thoughts concerning his 'Adoption'
- Loki was "abandoned by his father in a temple" (source: MCU wiki) during a war. In the film, a structure is visible. In the comics, he is definitely in a fortress or temple of sorts. Clearly, he was left somewhere for protection. Temples and churches often get repurposed as emergency hospitals or shelters during conflicts, which I believe fits this theory.
- Loki was a new born at the time, as he was not even old enough to be given clothes (which his people are shown to wear in various forms).
My hypothesis: Loki's mother gave birth to him prematurely due to the stress of the battle, leaving Laufey to leave him with medics as he managed his troops. Asgardian soldiers attacked, killing the medics, and leaving Odin to find Loki. His facial markings clearly demonstrate him to be the prince. Loki is "small, for a giants offspring" because he was born prematurely. He is clearly capable of reaching full giant height, as the What If? show depicts him as a giant despite the only canonical change being "Thor was an only child", and that Loki was clearly still Asgardian baby sized as Odin could pick him up.
My question: why hasn't Loki reached his proper height and build yet?
What say ye?
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Once again, fucking love your fics so much.
<3<3<3 you're so sweet, thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed the Weeping Siren. It was a fun one to write and i still remember the joy everyone felt when they realized it was going to be long-term captivity instead of like. a weekened.
"what say ye?" that's amazing. thank you. like with full sincerity 0 sarcasm, everyone needs to be treated like a 18th century lord sometimes. It's good for you.
and hmm. idk. I kinda go back and forth on Laufey thing. I personally don't consider What If to be an expansion of MCU canon, more like canon-adjacent. like comics or books released.
It's kind of weird to me that Loki did grow to a full height in What If, so if it is canon then i guess...maybe not being on jotunheim stunted his growth? They definitely have different atmospheres and that would do Weird Things to Loki biologically. maybe he didn't get enough to eat of jotunheim food? Like not eating stunts your growth. I'm not sure. It's an interesting question to consider. It's a lot easier to stick with older MCU lore where Loki was naturally a runt, and "small for a frost giant offspring" because that. just made more sense rather than trying to do gymnastics to explain this.

Ikemen Revolution
I decided to say goodbye to this game and say a few farewell words. I wish I had more kind words… I still can't believe how long I've been torturing myself…
I started playing this game RIGHT after the developers stopped supporting it. Lucky me! I didn't participate in any event, I didn't buy anything with real money, and I hardly heard voices. So… my impression is based solely on the main stories and some routes through the looking glass (Sirius and Lancelot).
There will be some spoilers in it… just to explain my point, but no more than necessary.
Tumblr media
Lancelot, Sirius and Jonah. These guys are smart, dependable, with strong morals and a value system… And they ended up with a girl whose only value is to be absolutely and unreasonably optimistic. And she's pretty. That's all. I feel like they sold themselves too cheaply. Well, in Jonah's route, she's not that bad, but still…
Kyle you're perfect, just don't drink so much. Dalim you're perfect, just stop sacrificing yourself. No one has ever asked you to do it. Edgar, you're perfect, but stop listening to your uncle. You're not a kid anymore, you don't have to do this.
I just realized… These are all victims of the magic tower… Even Harr in a way. Zero and Levie's lives were almost ruined because of the tower. And without Harr, Loki's life would have been as well. I feel very sorry for them. Especially about Levie. Sweet kid.
I guess I'm a bit of a masochist. Dean is a typical teacher, and I would love to see his route. What could it be… She is not particually bright and naive, she definitely needs a teacher! Maybe at the end of his route, she would finally start behaving like an adult… Who knows. And Amon… He's terrible. He's not just want to cut Alice into pieces to figure out how her abilities work, but he's always angry, he's like a burning volcano. But who knows what's in his heart? He's just an abandoned, unloved child, and no one understands him. Something like that… But we never know for sure…
They're just kids. I know Luka is not a child, but he behaves like one. So he's a kid. And I know that Oliver is definitely not a kid. But he's a child for a half of the time. I can't bring myself to date kids. That's creepy.
The most difficult one… I really wanted to like Seth. He has long hair and it's very attractive. But I am not into girlish-boy friend/more than friend relationships. And his sudden switch from sweet and melodious behavior to something very adult and sultry was not convincing. I was expecting something like that because it wasn't my first route, but it still doesn't feel quite right. I don't know how to put it… he wasn't shown from the right angle to makes him shine. Shame. Fenrir… (exhales)… I deleted this game once because of him. It was so boring… I didn't find anything interesting in him and I didn't feel at least a little spark between the characters. A very strange couple. Blanc… He appears at the beginning of each route to say a couple of lines, and at the end of each route to say a couple more lines. And that's probably all. Yes, he flirts, knows a lot of things and is very old (he remembers how Levie was imprisoned in the looking glass)… There is potential in this, but… We'll never know. And Moss. I've seen him a couple of times at most. In Zero's route and maybe somewhere else, but I don't remember… So I have no idea what this character is like.
But the biggest problem of this game is not the characters. Yes, I don't like Alice, outside Jonah and Dalim's routes. But if the concept of the game was a little different, I would turn a blind eye to it.
From the very beginning, there is a feeling that this game is a bit childish. It is based on the plot of a fairy tale, most of the characters are overly positive and hyperactive. Story unfolds in the midst of a war, but they don't show any anxiety, fear, or any negative emotions… This is the behavior of children. But… some romantic scenes are shown too much… in an adult way. So at first I couldn't even figure out what age this game is aim for. Teenagers, probably…
But despite how much I dislike about this game, I don't consider it a complete failure. The developers managed to create very interesting and memorable characters. And used them as prototypes for other games. It was a good foundation. And I think they had outgrown the game. The latter routes seem to be written much better than the others, and bring up more complex and more questionable topics. So I think that was one of the reasons they stopped this project.
