Okay, anon, for real, this is the sweetest ask I've gotten in a big while. Thank you so much for liking my stuff so much and liking me enough to just 'want to hear me talk' about my stuff. For that, I'll give you a little excerpt from my few WIPs and I'll talk a little bit about my planned projects.

An excerpt from Before Your Kisses Turn Into Bruises (A time loop fic for Kaz Brekker x Reader)

There was a look in their eye that did something to Kaz, a gravity about them that tugged at him. It threatened to pull him closer and into their orbit, closer than he would let most people get. He managed to resist that gravitational pull, but only just. Instead, he watched as they made their way across the small space of the intersection and came to stand at his side.

A frustrating excerpt from Tutoring the Popular Student (the story before the ASMR script)

“Here’s the number for the Tutoring Center. For the ones you need, that’s gonna be on the ground floor of the BI building.” Jason stared at him blankly. "Sorry, Coach, I've never been to the BI. I don't even know what it's used for. All my classes like that are usually in the general Business Building of the BU." Coach Bradford sighed. "The center for Business and Industry, the BI, is to the left of the BU from the back. It's right behind the bookstore, next to the cafeteria."

Okay, those are the two excerpts I've got for you unless you wanted stuff from finished but not posted works.

As for not started works, I don't really have any clear order of how I want to work on them. I'm probably going to work on smaller scripts as I work on the Tutoring series as it is a series, just like I'm working on smaller fics along with the longer fic that is Love Me Gently (Protect Me Fiercely). Although, I really do need to get back into working on that one, it's kinda stalled a bit because wording has escaped me for it. I need to reread it for characterization of the reader and stuff like that.

A small note: The kinda ramble about the College Buildings in the Tutoring excerpt is based on the way my actual college campus so it's a little personal joke of mine.

I can say the next script I'm most likely to work on after the first episode of Tutoring is probably going to be Bodyguard X Royal Listener [A4A]. The premise of that one is actually written in my notes as a little ramble from the Bodyguard XD

Hey, you just woke from a nightmare and are pretty scared right now. I know I’m technically supposed to just be posted outside but I couldn’t help but barge in when I heard the scream, are you okay? I’ll just sit in here until you fall back asleep, it’ll be fine. Oh, you want me to sit on the bed next to you? Okay, I can do that. Oh, now you’re snuggling against me. Yeah, anything to make you feel safer. God, you’ll never know just how much I love you. Wait, you’re not asleep yet? You love me back? Okay, I’ll make sure you sleep as comfortably as possible. I can’t take off my armor cause I’m still on duty but put your pillow on my lap or against me and I’ll stroke your hair and whisper to you until you fall asleep.

It's a very cute concept to me and I'm really interested in writing it, I just can't figure out how to actually start it. It'll get done soon, I think.

One thing I feel like we neglect to talk about in the "Boyfriend ASMR community" is how readily praise is given to those who do the voice overs (which isn't that bad in its own right), but neglect to offer the same amount of praise or recognition for those who write the scripts that are being voiced over.

"But Grim," exclaims my overthinking mind and my insatiable need for balance, "What about those who write their own scripts or don't use scripts at all?"

That's not what I'm talking about; rather I am talking about trends, kinda.

There are thousands upon thousands of boyfriend asmr youtube videos floating around, and most of them use scripts found on reddit.

Why?

Simply put: It works

It's fun. It's efficient, not only for building your platform, but gaining experience in the medium.

This is all good and well, but what's my point?

Very well written scripts of varying genres are utilized practically everyday by boyfriend asmr youtubers. The amount is so inconceivable that, when scrolling through audios, it's incredibly common for people to use the same scripts for videos. Scripts by ItsEsmeJones and softlikestatic, both on reddit, are incredibly popular writers and commonly used.

Despite the fact that script writers are commonly credited in the description of the video; the comments, recognition, and support are most usually given to the, for lack of a better term, voice actors.

There is this kind of this overlooking of script writers, and the script itself, within the community.

While most people are there for the comforting presence of another human being/voice, it's important to realize that the words these ASMRists are speaking have been curated and written by incredibly talented individuals, sometimes free of charge.

These youtubers have a nice voice, sure, but without the words written out in front of them:

It would mean NOTHING.

To be clear, I am not hating on anyone; whether that be people who don't recognize the significance of script writers or those who use scripts. In fact, I think youtubers using scripts is a good thing.

The most popular and notable example that comes to mind is Audio by Dominic. He uses fairly popular audio scripts but adds his own flair to it through his own voice and sound editing. He also credits the writers. That's all fine and dandy.

What I'm trying to say that the average Youtube viewer consuming Boyfriend ASMR is not recognizing the importance, talents, and efforts of script writers.

If you look at the social media pages of ItsEsmeJones and softlikestatic, there are not nearly as much traction on their pages as the mass amounts of likes, subscribers, and recognition those who use their scripts receive.

As a community of writers, voice actors, and casual enjoyers, we need to acknowledge each other and our contributions. This is the same issue that "traditional" media forms (TV and film) still struggle with, and it's not fair to anyone.

I'm a listener who likes supporting writers that provide scripts for VAs, but I really wish I didn't follow some of them on Twitter. I really liked Lupin Scripts as a writer but as a person she seems really narcissistic. She constantly asks for affirmation and reassurance despite calling herself the "ruler" of the audio community, complains for days if she's even mildly criticized, and asks people for "tribute" in the form of throne gifts and money all the time in this weird entitled way.

If you're going to be that egotistical about how good and important your writing is, then at least don't go on twitter constantly begging for praise and affirmation, fishing for compliments, etc. It's such a bad look and it has tainted my ability to enjoy anything written by her. I agree that writers deserve a little more credit but at some point that desire for more credit starts to look like unchecked narcissism.

We're Audball Character Audios! We're a group of fandom creatives who have come together to start our very own Youtube audio channel. We're just starting out but we have big plans for the future.

We are currently looking for script writers that feel comfortable doing both NSFW scripts for our Patreon and SFW Youtube scripts. I was thinking about my notorious disrespect for the yandere trope, which is weird because I have written yandere audios before (as a script writer on behalf of other VAs) and enjoyed writing them. Sometimes I'm just like "ok do I hate this trope in audios or not".

And I think I realized that I just hated how watered-down it was by people who fundamentally misunderstand the point of that trope. It was really, really popular in the early 2020s, so tons of people jumped on it as a trend but fucked it up. Audios are usually based around romance to some degree, especially one-shot boyfriend/girlfriend ASMR roleplay, which kind of conflicts with the point of the yandere.

One problem is that yandere is a character trope, not a genre, but it gets treated like a genre and therefore has no direction for plot. The other problem is that the yandere is not *supposed* to be appealing, I see the appeal of wanting to imagine yourself desired by someone so obsessed that they'd do horrible things to have you, but that appeal is supposed to be IN SPITE of the mega-creepiness at the surface. Yandere is not a romance trope, it's a horror trope, and writing them as romantic love interests will clash with writing them as yanderes.

Some people who like the trope will say "oh well my yanderes are softer" or "my yanderes aren't toxic". My liege, the toxicity is what makes them yanderes. When you try to make them sympathetic, soft, or non-toxic you hollow them out into a husk. You didn't improve the trope by making them good people, they're supposed to be fundamentally frightening and immoral.

I see a lot of eagerness among VAs/writers to use bad guy tropes (ex: mafia bosses, monsters, supervillains, delinquents, etc) but a lot of hesitancy to actually make them bad. The mafia bosses actually have a code of honor and won't victimize innocent people, the monsters behave indistinguishably from regular people, the villains and delinquents are just misunderstood well-meaning people. It's actually so whack.

Let them be bad, I promise you, it won't damage their appeal. People salivate over pure fucking evil fictional bad guys all the time. The listeners who pick your video hoping for monsters, yandere freaks, and villainy are there for it, otherwise they wouldn't have chosen to watch it. Don't worry about making them non toxic. This is all fiction, there's tons of stuff that would ve horrifying and wrong in real life that is appealing and fun in fiction.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a classic yandere comeback one day where they are just god damn terrible people with no regard for being non-toxic soft yandere bullshit characters.

Due to your ADHD has it impacted how you do hypnosis/ASMR?

Great question!

The biggest impact it has is:

It effects my output of audios. I find it really hard to put out a consistent stream of audios because when I write scripts, I lose interest pretty quickly if it doesn't get done in one go. So it can take me weeks to make a script if my heart isn't fully in it. I have tried hiring script writers but it's not the same, so many in future I will try again to hire people to help me out but for now, I just make what I can when I can.

Also I am insanely passionate about hypnosis so it means that I get a little perfectionist about how it comes across. This is a blessing and a curse because it means I know a ton about it but some days I get mental blocks over it.

There's also my need for creative freedom. This is how I can make some wild things, but it also means I do need multiple projects to keep me going. Luckily now I also have ParaNorma and my music.

So yes, it does get in my way of work sometimes but it also is the reason I can do as much as I do to the level I do. So it's a win for me.

do you have any tips for making n$fw content? probably specifically audios tbh. i want to get into it but i don’t even know where to start and it’s hard to search for tips and and stuff bc the site blocks searches.

oo okay so this of course is just my personal experiences and thoughts and all that. and i don't know if i can give the best advice but i will say what i can.

in my opinion there's sort of three types of n-sfw audio creators. i would think about which one of these types of audios you want to make or what platforms you want to use, but there's nothing saying you can't do multiple of these.

there's people who make regular audio p0rn which is real recordings of them actually participating in sexual acts, whether alone or with others, usually these are posted on reddit and places like p0rnhub. essentially regular video p0rn but audio only.

scripted and improvised audio content that are made up scenarios being acted out and not actually happening, like the kind found on r/gonewildaudio (shoutout to my favourite inactive audio creator who i hope is doing well u/msa_andeh, he is the reason i got into making audios, seriously go to his reddit or soundgasm). i crosspost all my public n-sfw audios on this subreddit, and where relevant also to r/GoneWildAudioGay and r/GoneWildAudioTrans.

asmr voice actor youtubers who make sfw content on their youtube but nsfw exclusive n-sfw content on their patreons, whether this be original scenarios, original characters or fandom characters. this is the type of content i make and so do creators like CarlinAudios, YuuriVoice, Dark & Twisted Whispers, Kink Radio, and more.

so firstly if you're trying to learn about n-sfw audios you need to knwo about r/gonewildaudio. it's a sub reddit just for posting scripts and audios of n-sfw audios. i assume you've seen the tags i use in my audios, the ones in the square brackets like [M4M] [Comfort] [Praise], well these are using r/gonewildaudios tagging system. gwa is also how i discovered soundgasm as an audio hosting site that allows n-sfw audios to be posted to it. this subreddit contains anything from someone recording themselves getting off, to scripted fantasy audios about knights and kings, to 'boyfriend helps you relax'. anything and everything n-sfw audio related. there are writers who post their scripts on there and the purposes is for people to 'script fill'. a script fill post is where a person on there reads off and acts out one of the scripts. so if you do want to get into n-sfw voice acting but are struggling to write or come up with ideas, you could start out by trying out script fills but make sure to abide by the the subreddits tagging system, and as with most subreddits its no self-promo policy (which makes reddit a hard place to promote your other social medias or patreon on).

there are also a couple more subreddits for the same type of content but more specific, there's r/GoneWildAudioGay for M4M n-sfw audios (male 4 male, and yes this includes trans and cis men), and r/GoneWildAudioTrans for any n-sfw and sfw audios where the listener is trans (which means any identity under the trans umbrella, eg trans men, trans women, non-binary, genderfluid, etc).

but also wait there's more. there is g/GWABackstage which is another subreddit for n-sfw audio and script creators to share other projects unrelated to n-sfw audios but also for asking questions about how to make audios, tips, feedback, how to post audios online, how to make sfx, what microphone to use, anything and everything you might have questions for! there's also r/GWAScriptGuild for script writers to share their work, ask for feedback, ask questions, advice, etc.

if you want to post audios publicly you can here on tumblr put there is a size limit on audio files that i quickly discovered that made my audios compressed so badly they were inaudible and that's why i stopped putting the audios directly on here and instead just embed the youtube videos. but if you want a proper n-sfw audio hosting site there is soundgasm (which i use) and also erocast. there might be more, but those are the ones i know. some people also just use p0rnhub to post the audio as a video with either no visuals or just one picture the entire video.

if you are wanting to make money out of doing n-sfw audios the only way i know is by putting stuff behind patreon. 237 out of my 288 patrons are part of the n-sfw audio tier. that is the majority of my income at the moment. if i posted n-sfw content publicly more often or had all those patreon exclusive audios public i wouldn't be making a living. though i don't know if it's possible to use something 0nlyfans or fan$ly instead as i don't know if they allow you to make audio posts. i know that ko-fi doesn't allow audios posts, you'd have to post them as videos. of course you an always take commissions as well, but you have to be the one to market yourself and try and reach people who are interested in custom n-sfw audios.

i guess basically my advice has been don't search on tumblr, go to reddit. that's not saying you can't post your audios on tumblr, you can, hell i started by posting my things on tumblr. and there's a different in how you'll grow and what audience you attract depending on whether you want to do original p0rn audios in which case you might want to use reddit and 0nlyfans, or if you want to make fandom audios in which case well what better place can you find fandoms and people in love with fictional characters than tumblr (don't be offended guys, this is a self call out)
