A Proposition
Fake dating and contract marriages
Ft. Alhaitham, Ayato, Kaveh, Thoma, Zhongli
Tumblr media
Alhaitham:
Acting grand sage, respected scholar, rich, young, handsome, there's a bunch of things that make Alhaitham an ideal spouse in name
Which led to a fair bit of unwanted attention
Unwanted because he knew for a fact most people found him quite the intolerable romantic partner - not that he could fault them, for he didn't exactly try to be romantic to begin with
So when you accidentally hold his hand while reaching for a book, he scowled at you, ready for whatever cheesy, unwelcome pickup line you might hurl at him
Except he only got a questioning stare as you asked if you had slighted him in some way
Perhaps it'd be good to have you around, keep his "admirers" at bay
Of course, you're handsomely compensated, his salary allows for that much and more
What he can't seem to allow is you holding his hand
Or making any sort of physical contact, for that matter
He hates how he suddenly finds himself holding his breath when your arms almost brush
He hates the way you somehow draw his gaze towards you when you stand beside him
This wasn't part of the agreement. At some point he asks you to live with him, under the guise of keeping up appearances
You had been dutifully fulfilling your role as his make belief spouse, surely that was why he felt so attached
His reasons are not reasoning, he needs you, he desires you
Well, at least the contract keeps you with him
After all, it wasn't so different from a real marriage, no? Both were contracts of sorts
Yes, he'll satisfy himself with that unless you try to leave
Ayato:
A high ranking official well loved by those under him?
Terribly popular, and yet a situation very unlike Alhaitham's
While yes, he had his fair share of admirers, the issue was with how he knew his staff keenly analysed every interaction he had, eager to spot if he ever took a fancy to anyone
After all, he'd been thrust into responsibility at such a young age, and the elder who'd helped raise him just wanted to see him happily settled down as elders do
So, as considerate as he is, he decides to ease their worries by taking on a pretend lover
Things move fast when you've the entire Kamisato estate and all its staff encouraging your relationship
Meals cooked to perfection, ambience dialed to just the right level of romantic and light-hearted to set the mood for your shared meals
And you will share meals, the staff ensure that much
Fake courtship quickly turns to fake dating, which turns into a whole ass Fake wedding ceremony everyone eagerly wishes you well with
Worst of all is how you seem to be the only one worried about the contract
Ayato? He hasn't said a word about it since it progressed to an engagement, easily going with the flow and taking you to choose a ring
Of course, you assumed this was part of the deal with how normally he treated it, but you couldn't help but be doubtful since marriage was a pretty big deal
You were inclined to believe Ayato was an incredibly convincing actor until he kissed you after he said his vows
"Despite the circumstances that brought us together, I have to say, I never quite expected you to find a home in my heart so easily. I can only hope I've a similar lodging in yours, and that you continue to trust in me, as you have thus far."
Kaveh:
He couldn't date - not when he only brought misery to those around him
It was what he'd gaslighted himself into believing until Alhaitham got sick of it and hired you to be his pretend spouse
You were quite confused when Alhaitham had approached you, not expecting a man of his status to require your services
Even more confused when you find he hadn't even sought you out for himself, commissioning you to play the role of his roommate's lover
Still, Alhaitham paid well, and surely, the roommate of such an esteemed person had to be good company, right?
Your jaw dropped to the ground when you realised it was Sumeru's star architect
Your worst mistake was probably assuming Kaveh knew about the contract
Poor guy was panicked as hell when you sidled up to him and slipped your hand in his
Until Alhaitham explained the situation and frankly, if you were doing it to make a quick buck of Alhaitham? He could respect the hustle
So he lets you dote on him
And it's nice...he fears...he starts to enjoy it
And he feels so terribly guilty because how dare he covet you when you're only in it for the contract
So he tries to open up to you in the hopes you start to fall for him even if only s little bit
And of course you pick up on it because Kaveh is a wreck when it comes to his emotions
There's no helping him once he's attached, he all but begs Alhaitham to keep paying you to stay
And you continue to take the money because cash is cash and it lets you spoil Kaveh
You're essentially given an allowance to be Kaveh's doting spouse
Maybe one day Kaveh will catch onto how you reciprocate his fondness, but hopefully not before you've gotten enough out of Alhaitham's pocket to live comfortably
Thoma:
As much as Ayato and Ayaka adore him, they do worry his life centres around being their housekeeper
They appreciate his work, truly, but they can't help but want him to have other activities he enjoys
Of course Thoma insists he simply enjoys his job, to which there's nothing either Kamisato can do about it except remind him that he's free to change his mind since they've complete faith in his ability to balance work and life
So naturally he finds you, a charming outlander wandering around Ritou, and proposes you pretend to date him
The story was simple enough, he was showing you around and you bonded over having to assimilate into Inazuman culture
It wasn't entirely false, since you did bond a fair bit over that
Maybe a little too much
It was simply so convenient, so easy to be together, that at some point, the two of you had quite forgotten about the deal entirely
That much made itself apparent with the matching wedding bands on your fingers
Zhongli:
Who more likely to propose such a contract than the god of contracts himself?
A loving spouse is simply part of the package to being your average joe among humans, he hears, so why wouldn't he try his best to blend in?
Of course, he'd never impose something like that upon his citizens and simply pick a spouse to his liking - he'd outgrown that immature, thoughtless, tyrannical phase of his life
Instead, he happens upon you in the lap of one of the statues of seven, absently tracing his stone chest as you murmured your worries
A strange sight, admittedly, but it wasn't unheard of for some believers to be...exceptionally devoted
It seemed he provided you some solace even in his "death", and that made you the perfect candidate
He courts you formally, conversing with you naturally like you'd known each other all your lives
But of course that wasn't nearly enough
He had to stand out, he knew that much
Which is why in his eyes, he let a bit of his old self show - the cold, reptilian gaze of his dragon self seeming to pierce through you
As patient and gentlemanly as Zhongli makes himself out to be when he's with you, he's nothing short of calculative
He feels the rush of heat to your face when you notice him glaring subtly at some poor fool who dares to cover you with their mortal eyes, he noticed the way your breath catches when he leads you with a firm hand on your shoulder, holding you close to him in a sort of half embrace
He knows you're falling
And in your infatuation, he is certain he's charmed you enough to make a proposition: be his. Help him keep up appearances
He seals the deal by revealing his draconic form to you, in all its intimidating glory
There's a different sharpness, a fearsome edge to him that you're certain he never had before and yet it has you rooted to the spot, eyes glued to him
There's a finality in his tone, a possessiveness as he presents the yellowed certificate to you, scaled, clawed hands holding a pen as he patiently waits for you to sign
And he knows you will
Zhongli is thorough in his act, so much so it may as well be true
As you play your role to the best of your ability, he plays his to perfection, the ideal husband
It's enough to convince you he truly did fall head over heels in love with you, and yours believe it if you hadn't been informed of the contract at the very start
Make no mistake though, you are in no way encouraged to believe it's an act. He will convince you it's real by any means he deems necessary
After all, it's a contract that will only terminate with your death, so why not believe his every word when he so earnestly takes care of you?
Tumblr media
Happy belated birthday @zhongrin !! Hope you enjoyed your husbands<3

The Girl With Two Dragons, Chapter 10
Word Count: 1.9k
Warnings:  manipulation, major angst, noncon relationship
Tumblr media
“Aemond…we have to leave…”
Aemond turned to the woman he loved with a wide eye, “Wh-what?  What are you talking about?  I have to go into the city to find Aegon.  Mother asked it of me, and I can’t just ignore that.  Father-“
“Can’t protect us anymore,” she said quickly as she rushed him, “my love, I know that you want to fulfill your duty to your mother, the queen, but you cannot.  This is all going to come back to harm us, my love.  If Aegon is found, he will force me to marry him.  You have to know that.”
“He wouldn’t do that,” Aemond said quickly in response as he shook his head, “everyone knows what father said.  He gave us his blessing.  So long as we wait until our babe is born, I am allowed to wed you in front of the eyes of the kingdom.  We are already married by ancient rites.  Aegon wouldn’t hurt me like that.  He wouldn’t hurt us like that!”
“You know that your brother doesn’t care about any of that,” she all but sobbed as she clung to her husband, “your brother only wants to control you.  He can do that by holding me against my will, and forcing me to marry him if he’s king.  And now that King Viserys has passed, and Aegon’s drunk somewhere in the city, we have the time to run.  The second Aegon is found we do not have that option any longer!”
“Daemhyra-“
“Aemond, for the sake of our child, I beg of you,” she pled, falling to her knees.  She took his hands in her own and rested her face against them, “please, Aemond.  We must run for Dragonstone.  My father will protect us.  My mother would protect us.”
“Your mother?” he asked.  He shook his head, figuring that you were referring to Daemon’s wife, his elder sister, “No.  Daemhyra, we cannot do that.  Your father hates me-“
“He would rather see me happy and in love than forced to marry someone I do not wish to wed!”
“WE are wed!” he growled angrily, “my brother would not step on me like that.  He would-“
“Your ass of a brother will do anything for power!” she cursed, cutting her husband off, “your brother would do anything if it meant getting ahead!”
“And right now he’s lost in the kingdom,” he growled in response, “does that sound like a manipulating king?  Does that sound like someone who would do anything to get ahead?  He’s lost, my love.  We just lost our father and he’s going to rule the entire kingdom.  My brother-“
“If you won’t run with me, then I will run regardless!” she proclaimed, sniffling against her husband’s thigh.  He looked outraged as he looked down at her, but she held firm, “I will do what I have to, in order to protect our child, Aemond, even if you will not!”
“I will always do what is best for you and our child,” he said firmly, upset over the insinuation that he wouldn’t, “but right now, I must do what is best for the kingdom.  Father is dead.  Which means I need to find Aegon, as he is the next rightful heir to the throne!”
Aegon sat atop the throne, glaring at Daemhyra, “you have tried to run away from King’s Landing, princess…”
“Aegon, br-“
Aegon slammed his fist down on the arm of the throne; the loud crack resounding through the room and cutting Aemond’s argument short.  His jaw twitched, and you held back your tears, wishing that you’d just left instead of holding out hope that Aemond would change his mind and run away with you.
“When I want to hear from you, I will call upon you, Aemond,” Aegon said firmly, shooting daggers at his brother.  Alicent placed a hand on Aegon’s shoulder, and he looked back to her, “he is defying me by speaking out of turn, mother.  I am in the midst of dealing with a potential traitor.  She was fleeing the city.  She-”
“Your brother is the one that brought you back safe and sound.  Daemhyra is his wife.  She meant you no ill will,” she reminded him, “Aego-“
“And his so-called wife was trying to flee the city on her dragons while he did so,” he huffed.  He turned his attention to Daemhyra, “No doubt she was probably off to inform her father and his whore of a bride about father’s death so that she could usurp me and steal the throne.  That sounds like traitorous activity to me.  Tell me, do you really despise me that much, cousin?  That you were willing to risk your life…your child’s life…to be a traitor to the throne?”
Daemhyra didn’t answer him.  She quietly continued to sob to herself from her kneeling position in front of the throne’s steps.
“ANSWER ME!” Aegon screamed, leaning forward in the throne, “for if I have to come off this throne, I will make sure you not only spend your days miserable and alone, but I will cut the very babe in your belly from your stomach and make you watch as I slit it’s throat.”
Aemond was ready to lunge at his brother once more, before the king’s guards stopped him.
“Brother…do you know why Daemhyra tried to flee the city?” he growled, trying to pull the attention back towards himself, “do you just aim to make accusations without hearing my wife’s side?”
“She’s a traitor…that’s why!” he said matter-of-factly.
Aemond’s jaw tightened, “no, she is not.  It was because she believed that you would try to take her as your bride, when we are already wed.”
Aegon chuckled, “take her?  Why would I do such a thing like that, brother?”
Aemond turned his attention back to his wife, “I told you so.  Aego-“
“It is an odd query,” Aegon chuckled, “you mention that as though she wasn’t promised to me first.”
Aemond, whose attention had turned to his wife when his brother started his sentence, snapped back to Aegon as he finished it, “what?”
“Daemhyra was promised to me first, dear brother…she snuck out with you and the two of you wed under the laws of old Valeryia.  But Daemhrya was meant to be my wife.  She was meant to carry my heirs.  Not yours!”
Aemond felt his heart sinking as he looked at his wife. His stomach turned as he realized that she’d been right in her assumptions, and suddenly he found himself wishing that he’d taken her up on her offer, allowing them to flee to Dragonstone when they’d had the chance, instead of searching throughout the city for the man who was now condemning his life.
“I am married to Daemhyra, brother.”
“Cousin, why do you despise me so?” he asked, turning his attention back to Daemhyra, “I’ve never hurt you or mistreated you.  I tried to comfort you when we were children the best that I could…but you only ever had eyes for Aemond…even when he became a mutilated monster of a prince.”
Aemond felt his chest tightening as he looked back to his brother.
“You know what I think?” the soon-to-be king mused, “I think that you’re every bit the attention stealing whore that your mother is, and that you were planning to steal Aemond away because he’s in love with you.  You were planning on making him follow you to Dragonstone to your mother and father, so that you would have one more for your side when they came to steal what is rightfully mine.”
“I love Aemond…and only Aemond.” She said, not daring to look up, “this has nothing to do with the crown or my parents.”
“EVERYTHING DEALS WITH THE CROWN!” he screamed through the chambers, “I am the rightful king, and the world moves as I tell it to.  BUT YOU COULDN’T STAND THAT IDEA, COULD YOU?”
“I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CROWN.  LET YOUR SQUABBLES WITH MY MOTHER REMAIN WITH THE TWO OF YOU!” she screamed in response, finally raising her head to look at Aegon, “I ONLY WANTED TO LEAVE WITH MY HUSBAND AND LIVE IN PEACE.  I WANTED TO RAISE OUR BABE IN PEACE!  I would renounce any titles so long as it meant that I had Aemond and my child.”
Aegon stood from the throne and rushed the princess and backhanded her so hard that her entire body hit the floor.  Aemond went to rush them but was immediately held back by the guards.
“DO NOT DISRESPECT ME, YOU WHORE!” Aegon spat, “YOUR LIFE HANGS IN MY HANDS.  YOUR BASTARDS LIFE, HANGS IN MY HANDS.  YOUR HUSBANDS LIFE, IS IN MY HANDS!  YOU SHOULD BE BEGGING ME TO SPARE YOUR TRAITOROUS FAMILY!”
“AEGON!”
Aegon turned towards his brother, “She is mine to do with now as I please, brother.  As your future king, I ask this once…will you defy me because of your whore?”
“You are better off hanging me in front of the kingdom,” Daemhyra spat, drawing the attention back from her husband to herself, “you will never have me, Aegon.”
“Your grace…speaking of such matters,” Hightower said firmly as he looked around the room to break the tension within it, “what are we to do with those who will look for your sister’s ascension to the throne instead of your own?”
“It was your father’s wish that you become king, Aegon…we must do everything we can to ensure that it happens,” Alicent began as she too, tried to lead the conversation away from the deadly path it was heading down, “it was his dying wish.”
“Anyone who opposes my rule shall be locked up until after my coronation,” he said firmly, looking at Daemhyra, “and that is to include my future bride…after my coronation, bastard inside your belly or not, I will take you…and then I shall make you my second wife…just as father had originally promised.”
“I would rather be violated by molten steel.”
“Oh, cousin…that would be an easy death for you,” he growled in a low voice, “SIR CRISTON!  I demand that princess Daemhyra be locked in my quarters until after the coronation, at whence time I can provide her with the…guidance…that she desperately needs.”
“As you wish, your grace!” Criston nodded, snapping his fingers.  A few guards started in towards Daemhyra, and she looked to Aemond, who was beyond shocked at his brother’s words.
“Aemond…” she whimpered softly.
“Is this going to be a problem, brother?” Aegon taunted, looking towards his younger brother.
“Aemond…please…”
His heart ached as he looked at his mother, who was undoubtedly begging him not to have a reaction over it.
“She is my wife, brother.”
“And if you are good…I shall return her,” Aegon mused, “after I’ve had my fill of her, of course…. now I will ask again, brother.  Will this be a problem?”
Aemond turned his head away from Aegon so that he couldn’t see the tears slipping down his cheeks, and he shook his head, “no…no brother…my loyalty is to the kingdom.”
“Good,” Aegon smirked, looking towards Daemhyra once more, “and for that, I shall allow her to birth your bastard…and since I’m an understanding, and compassionate king…your bastard shall be raised as my own as well.  He will not know you as his father.”
“Aegon…” Alicent gasped.
“It is a kind gesture, mother,” he reassured his mother with a shrug of his shoulders, “Aemond is a mutilated prince with no purpose….his son shall want for nothing under my care.  Aemond…you are dismissed from the chambers until the coronation.  Please go with the king’s guard and round up those who are not going to be supportive of my ascension.
“As you wish, your grace…”

Hi! I went through the ship list you attached for the spicy bingo list, and I was very intrigued by the paring of Manwë/Eönwë, for the Blindfolds box.
Author's Note: Again, a fic that turned out longer than I intended, but I was just having too much fun with it.
Thanks a lot for sending me the prompt - this pairing was one I'd only been "theory crafting" until your ask and I was super excited to actually try writing it. Hope you enjoy!♡

ೃ♡⁀➷ Spicy Bingo: Blindfold + Manwë x Eönwë ৎ୭
Eönwë's heart flutters in his chest. He has no idea what exactly the Vala is planning, but he can guess what it will involve–more warmth, more affection, more pleasant touches. It's not the first time Manwë has granted him special favours, and the mere suggestion has him yearning for more.
ৎ୭ Synopsis: Eönwë receives a reward for his loyal service to the Elder King
ৎ୭ Featuring: Eönwë's sensitive wings, inexperienced Eönwë, blindfolds, handjobs, fingering
ৎ୭ Oneshot (~1.4k)
Tumblr media
"Well done, my little hawk."
Eönwë allows himself to smile, his chest swelling with pride as his lord praises him. He has returned to Ilmarin after delivering all of his messages and is now kneeling in front of the Elder King's throne to report his findings, loyal and conscientious as always.
Manwë's blue eyes are warm with fondness while he looks down upon his beloved Maia, and he gracefully reaches out with one hand to caress his pale blonde locks. Eönwë instinctively leans into the touch, basking in the affectionate gesture. Closeness to another is something he doesn't allow himself to experience often, yet deep down he craves it and considers himself fortunate that his lord offers it so freely.
"Would you like a reward?" Manwë asks, and his hand trails downward to cup the Maia's cheek, his thumb resting on his lips as if by coincidence.
Eönwë's heart flutters in his chest. He has no idea what exactly the Vala is planning, but he can guess what it will involve–more warmth, more affection, more pleasant touches. It's not the first time Manwë has granted him special favours, and the mere suggestion has him yearning for more.
"Yes, my lord. I would... like that a lot," Eönwë affirms as politely as he can, yet the quivering of his wings betrays his eagerness.
Manwë rewards him by caressing his bottom lip, yet before the Maia can wonder if he's supposed to kiss his lord's finger or open his mouth, he withdraws his hand.
"Disrobe for me," he commands gently.
"Everything?" Eönwë asks, rising to his feet and reaching for the buttons of his robes.
"Everything, dear. Show me how beautiful you are."
Obedient as always, Eönwë removes his clothes until his fána is completely bare. While the cold winds of Taniquetil don't bother him, he trembles slightly upon feeling his lord's gaze on him, hoping that he's pleased with him and will allow him to come closer.
As if sensing what he wants, Manwë holds out his hands once more. "Sit on my lap."
Eönwë takes a hesitant step forward, unsure how to best fulfil such an order–should he simply climb on the Vala's lap? Which direction should he face?–yet before he can keep wondering, Manwë takes his hands and guides him to straddle his thighs in a kneeling position.
The feeling of the Vala's robes underneath him reminds Eönwë of just how naked he is, and he's tempted to wrap his wings around himself, but keeps himself from doing so without explicit command; the way Manwë's eyes roam his fána tell him that his lord wishes to admire him. Warm hands draw invisible patterns on his skin until one settles at the base of his wings, and soft lips kiss his brow.
"Do you trust me, my little hawk?" Manwë asks.
"Of course, my lord."
His free hand produces a strip of cloth from the depths of his robes and presents it to Eönwë.
"You... wish to cover my eyes?" he asks.
"I would like you to let go, to give yourself to me while I take care of you," Manwë says. "But only if you want it as well."
Eönwë contemplates the suggestion for a moment; he can't remember the last time he has allowed himself to be put in such a vulnerable position, but he trusts his lord with his life and wishes to explore this new sensation. He nods in lieu of an answer and closes his eyes, letting Manwë blindfold him.
"So good for me," the Elder King praises and leans in to plant a kiss on his lips, a brief taste of what is to come, and Eönwë finds himself wanting more.
His silent plea is fulfilled when he feels his lord's hand return to his wings to pamper them with gentle scratches and massages, taking full advantage of how sensitive they are, amplified by his current lack of sight. He eagerly fans them out and arches his back with a hesitant, subdued moan; he isn't sure if he's supposed to verbally express his enjoyment.
Yet Manwë appears to react to what noises he makes, focusing on areas that elicit such responses from his herald. He peppers his face and neck with tender, open-mouthed kisses and allows his free hand to roam his body until he has him gasping for breath and clawing at his robes for support.
Eönwë can feel his cock harden despite his best efforts to suppress his growing arousal, worrying that he isn't allowed to display such physical reactions. It has happened before of course, even though he tries his best to forget about it and deny it to himself, his fána reacting to the touch of another with eagerness and excitement and demanding relief, but he can usually hide the evidence underneath his robes or armour. Now, however, he's completely exposed, in front of the Elder King no less.
"M-my lord, I–" he tries to apologise, only to be silenced with another kiss.
"You are beautiful like this, dear."
Manwë trails his fingertips down his torso until he reaches his cock and takes it in hand.
"Don't hold back. I want to see how much it pleases you."
Eönwë nods and is rewarded with slow, careful strokes that have his breath hitching in his throat and thighs trembling.
"Do you enjoy this? Would you like me to continue?" Manwë asks.
"Y-yes, my lord. P-please do, I–"
Words elude him and Eönwë opts to bite his lower lip instead to stop himself from making too much noise. It feels so good, almost too good to finally have someone tending to his secret needs, granting him the pleasure he denies himself so often, be it out of necessity or out of shame. He wants to thrust into Manwë's hand and rut against him for additional friction, but he doesn't allow himself to disrespect his king like that.
His thoughts are interrupted when two fingers push against his lips, and Eönwë parts them to grant access.
"Lick."
He swirls his tongue around the invading digits, gladly obeying his lord's command. The intense feeling of pleasure rising within him has him nearly drooling all over the Vala's hand, but Manwë doesn't seem to mind; in fact, Eönwë senses that he's delighted by his enthusiasm.
The fingers are withdrawn soon after, and he feels an arm wrap around him as they dip between his legs from behind, searching for his entrance. A small whimper falls from his lips; he hasn't been touched so intimately before and he doesn't know what to do, but he knows his fána wants it, craves what his lord is giving him so generously.
"Relax."
Manwë takes his time gently massaging his rim until his muscles are soft and pliant under his fingers, allowing him to slowly push inside. Eönwë throws his head back with a moan, nearly overwhelmed by the sensations he's experiencing–two hands pleasuring him at the same time, stroking and penetrating him with gentle expertise.
"Tell me, does it feel good? Do you like your reward?" his lord's voice reaches his ear, suddenly very close.
"It's... s-so good–ah–my lord, I-I–mmh–'m going to..."
Eönwë's thighs are trembling as he attempts to sit still and resist the urge to rock his hips back and forth, to buck into the warm hand wrapped around his cock. He wants to show Manwë how well-behaved he can be, even as his need for relief threatens to break his resolve, yet his fána gives in before his mind does. His muscles twitch uncontrollably and he climaxes with a breathless groan, collapsing against the Vala's chest.
It is only a few seconds later that Eönwë feels something sticky on his skin and his lord's robes and realises what a mess he made. He tries to sit back up, but Manwë pulls out of him to place his hand between his wings once more, guiding him back into his embrace.
"Don't concern yourself with such trivial things now, my little hawk," he says gently and shakes his head when Eönwë looks up at him and opens his mouth to apologise. His wings unfurl and wrap around the Maia on his lap to keep him warm.
"Take your time, catch your breath. You may remain here as long as you need to."
"Thank you, my lord."

Webwish! The Riverclan elder who cares maybe a little too much about the warrior code. While originally a very promising young apprentice of Webpaw, a bite from a scraggly rogue resulted in his health suddenly having a lot of issues, he seemed to get sick constantly, often with fevers, he kept losing weight and not wanting to eat. His coat condition became more ragged and required help grooming pretty often.
While the clan cats had no clue what had happened to him beyond stories of other similar bites from other medicine cats, we are not clan cats and can know that that bite wound carried FIV to Webpaw, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, which also resulted in him developing cancer.
After he never seemed to recover, Hopestar gave him his warrior name Webwish, to show off his optimism and how the whole clan was wishing for his recovery and he was made an elder. He fell into a funk about what to do with his life, as he felt like a burden despite all the well wishes. Eventually he turned more to Starclan to cope with it, trying to figure out what his purpose in life was if it wasnt as a warrior. Then all the violence happened with Salmonstar and everything, and Webwish found his purpose.
The warrior code had been thrashed, torn to bits to serve greed and malice, he would remind the cats of Riverclan the purpose and point of the Warrior Code is while teaching how important and great it is and vital for True Clan Life and it should Never Be Questioned. Starclan needed a cat who could remember them fully, who was not busy like a warrior or medicine cat and could thus take time for even the smallest details of their whims and help everyone else follow these whims.
Most cats admittedly find this annoying of him but ever since he found this purpose Webwish seemed more determined then ever and less desiring to just be left to rot, they don't stop him. Though the main reason is because the "Elder's eat first" rule is often used against him as a way to make sure he doesn't starve himself.
When he's not bothering newly made warriors to ensure they keep vigil or poking fun at Twinstar for not having an apprentice, he's become a very beloved storyteller to the kits and apprentices due to his vivid imagination and weird dreams his on and off fevers keep giving him.
While he still has a long way to go about learning the warrior code as an ever evolving thing and not a stagnant force, his determination to bring the clan back to the code and help his clanmates live happier more fulfilled lives has helped with the rebuilding and morale after Salmonstar's reign.
(Also like feel free to simplify his spots if you draw him, starclan knows im certainly not going to be able to keep it consistent)

As the colony grows, its dynamics change.  Having kids around provides a lot of fun.  Everyone pitches in with the child rearing to the point that it doesn’t matter whose kid is whose.  I think Anthony is a bit sad that he doesn’t have a child of his own though.
Tumblr media
I give the younger kids the duty of tending the garden.  While the teens seem to take it upon themselves to help with the babies and toddlers.
Tumblr media
When the second summer rolls around everyone takes an interest in fishing and I try to fulfill those wants as much as possible.
Tumblr media
The adults start to branch out more, learning new skills and discovering how to make new useful items for the camp.
Tumblr media
Magda’s untimely death was a blow to the harmony of the colony.
Tumblr media
But it gets worse when after many days her vengeful ghost appears.
Tumblr media
In one night she takes out Fernando

and Misha
Tumblr media
and would have killed Rosalyn if she hadn’t wished for the power to cheat death.  With sims swarming around and not enough space between the beds I wasn’t able to get anyone to the Grim Reaper to plead for their lives.
Tumblr media
After that single night massacre nearly wiped out half of the adults in the colony, I decided to make a graveyard to move Magda’s grave out of the camp.  Then when Misha showed up two nights in a row attempting to murder my sims, I sent her grave there as well. I decided to let the graves stay on site for a little while, but once a ghost starts to be too troublesome, they have to go.
Tumblr media
With Fernando gone as a romantic competitor, Doug decides to propose to Rosalyn, but she turns him down.
Tumblr media
Anthony has better luck.  Since I was losing so many women between my original camp and the second family I created, I made a third family of single women.  Anthony and Heidi hit it off and he invited her to join the camp and become his wife.
Tumblr media
I didn’t realize she was showering in the waterfall when I directed them to get married. (Oops.) My sims don’t seem to realize that it’s fine for them to get dressed before they do whatever I direct them to do.
Tumblr media
The elder years are rapidly approaching, but Anthony is finally getting the love and family he always wanted.

Excerpt 3:
A myriad of garbled death grunts and pain-filled wails called out into the ever twilight of the Crypt Realm—chaos echoing off dirty rubble stone that nature started to reclaim as ghouls lay slain on display for any who might oppose fate. These were my enemies, demons and ghouls who liked to infest the mortal world with their wrongness. An infection that often seeped into the cracks, but not if you killed them off at the root. That was the plan for my Opsona brethren and myself. I was fulfilling my Opsona duty, helping my brothers invade the Underworld Realms, but not everyone saw me as an asset.
“I found another one trying to get away,” the man standing over me joked as I gasped to gain some air. The large brute of an Opsona struck me down when my back was turned using his lance to choke me from behind, as another Opsona landed a kick to my gut. It was an attack I wasn’t prepared for, and I would surely never make that mistake again.
Three others arrived chuckling at my misfortune, they knew what they were doing was wrong. I wasn’t the enemy, hell I led them here. I opened the gateway so they could take out the ghouls of this part of the Underworld. By doing so I now labeled myself an enemy of my demon brothers, a damned sinner who could never come back. There would be no place in the Underworld I could hide from retribution, and no chance to repent.
The reality of what was about to happen hit hard, and I gritted my teeth trying to hold my demon side back. This would be no time to prove them right, to show I was the monster they thought me to be, but I couldn’t show fear either. Showing fear would only urge them on more.
“You want to be one of us?” one of the men asked, stepping forward, a mocking tone to his voice as he asked his question. This asshole was the leader of the small group.
“We can grant you that wish, can’t we, boys?”
I didn’t like where this was going, but I bit back any response. I wouldn’t give them the pleasure of knowing my rage.
It had been a difficult few years training with the Opsona elder, Rhea. While she accepted me, the others still refused to acknowledge my Opsona blood. I was seen as a demon, a creature of sin. No matter my skill or strength I was still an outcast, but this? I never imagined they would take up arms against me. The Elders would not be pleased, but what punishment would they really face? Probably none—in fact they may even be rewarded for killing me, the bastards.
On cue two of the bigger men of the group restrained each of my arms and kicked my legs to bring me to my knees. A third ripped open my shirt and I growled like the beast I was, delighting in the way he jumped back. Aww, fear. I could smell it on him, making my demon purr with a special hunger. Chuckles from the others sounded for their companions’ frightened retreat. If they only knew what I could do to them.
The leader moved closer as I struggled to break free. It wouldn’t do me any good. Fighting one or two of my brethren I could handle, but five? No, I didn’t have the skills to escape without killing them. Here in the cover of twilight I had the advantage, but it would mean unleashing the demon I could not control. My demon, raging beneath the surface, would surely dismember them. I had to hold it back and take what abuse they were going to dish out.
“You want to be one of us?” ~Cret~

Coming Home (C.E)
Chris Evans Fanfiction (Fanfiction Masterlist)
Summary: dad!Chris Evans. Chris comes home to his twins fighting and he scolds them. But he also takes care of their wounds with you and then you all go out to eat ice cream and have a family day.
Warnings: None. Minimum angst but fluff all the way.
._._._._.
"Where are the kids?" Your husband came and sat right next to you on the couch. It was a shock to him when he didn't see his two little munchkins clinging to his legs the moment he entered the house. It has been kind of their routine from the moment they could walk on their little two legs.
“They are busy playing in their play room. Why are you not happy about it?” You knew that after a full day of shooting, coming home to two energetic kids was tiring and stressful. So you were shocked when he wasn’t glad to have a moment of peace by himself.
“Well, they are a part of my routine now. It feels weird not having them jumping around me.” The three year olds have always been more attached to Chris than you. Initially, you were a little jealous that the twins focused all their attention on your husband but now you were glad. Having a piece of quiet while he handled the children was pretty awesome.
You both had pretty successful careers and when the twins came into your lives, you both decided that you would handle it all together. In the start, each one of your married girlfriend told you that you had to quit your job as the marketing head because being a mom was a full time job. You were scared and when you shared your concerns with Chris, he consoled you and told you that you would both do it all. Having successful careers while being good parents.
“Just spend sometime with me while Emma and Jason are distracted.” Pouring him a glass of wine, you leaned in to him with your head on his shoulder.
“That is a good way to spend my evening. How was your day, sweetheart?”
“It was hell. My boss gave me a project to complete with a bizarre timeline and when I couldn’t complete it on time. He just took it all out on me in front of my colleague.” Today was humiliating for you and you couldn’t wait to get home, drink a nice glass of wine and relax. “Hated it, babe. How about you?
“Well, my co star couldn’t get her part right so we had to do the same scene five times. We are behind on shooting now and I have to get up early tomorrow morning so that we can catch up to the schedule.” Sighing, he took a long sip of the red liquid and felt his muscles relaxing.
There was a moment of silence that enveloped the room and you just basked in it. “A crappy day for us both.”
“Indeed. Let’s do something exciting then.” He kissed you and just when things were about to get heated, a piercing scream interrupted the moment.
“What-What is happening?” He was still in a haze and couldn’t properly interpret anything.
“It looks like your kids are fighting again.”
“Are you going to handle them?”
“Oh no!” Laughing at his incredulous request, you picked up your glass again. “You wanted to spend time with them so go on.”
Chris got up from the couch and went upstairs. Emma and Jason love each other to death but they have been fighting from the womb. Emma is the stubborn one and while, Jason backs out most of the time. Sometimes, he retaliates and it turns real bad, real fast. They were pretty hot headed, just like you.
“What is happening here?” The dad mode was fully in place when he saw his little girl sitting on the floor with hands pressed to a bloody forehead and his little boy trying to console her.
“She pushed me and then I pushed her. Not my fault. But she hurt, daddy.” The panic in Jason’s eyes was evident.
“(Y/N)! Come here, right now!” You scrambled to your feet as soon as Chris’s voice boomed across the living room. “You never hurt your sister, Jason. This is not alright.” The stern voice was new for Chris but the situation required it.
“But, daddy-”
“No excuses, Mister. Now, apologise to your sister and no toys for you for the whole week.” He got in to action with the first aid kit that he took out of their walk in closet. Emma was still crying her lungs out even when Chris tried to console her. She was not letting him touch the wound and was squirming uncontrollably in his lap.
“Daddy, why you always bla- blame me? Hate you.” Hiccuping, he stuttered on the big words and then stomped out of the room. You tried to stop your son but he just ran past you.
“What is- Oh my god!” The blood was now soaking up your little girl’s shirt and she still wouldn’t let Chris touch the wound.
The one thing that your kids inherited from your husband was the fear of blood and stitches. The small three year old knew that a boo boo that hurts really bad will lead to stitches. You knew how to handle all three of your babies in situation like these. Taking Emma from your husband, you hugged her lightly.
“Bubba, I need to look at your boo boo and then you can have the Elsa bandage.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.” When she removed her chubby, little hand, you were relieved that the cut was not big or deep. A bandage would just do the trick. You softly hummed a tune in her ears while you applied an antiseptic to the wound and then the band aid. She had tears streaming down her face and she was sniffling quietly. Chris took her from you when you were done and gently rocked her in his arms. He always loved it when both your children seeked comfort in you. It reminded him of how lucky he was to have you. “Where did Jason go?”
“I scolded his regarding this and he threw a tantrum.” When Emma heard Jason’s name, she further curled herself into his chest.
“Give her to me.” Raising her face by holding her chin, you sternly asked her. “Tell me what happened, young lady?”
With a guilty tone, she told you both that she was the one who pushed Jason first. They were both playing with the doll house that Chris bought Emma as her third birthday present. Jason wanted to add his toy cars to the doll house but she won’t allow it. She pushed him first and he hit his wrist on the small coffee table but then he pushed her back. When she fell back, she hit her head on the side of the wooden house.
“You are going to apologise to him, Emma. I told you that this much anger is not alright, bubba.” Chris took her to the twin’s room that had two different themes running through it. Emma was never a fan of the color pink so she went with purple and Jason really loved yellow, so he got that. The room looked like a clown’s den but Chris was never the one to deny his children’s requests. They had his whole heart well, except you.
“Jace, Emma would like to say something to you.” Setting her on her feet, she went towards his elder brother by barely three minutes.
“I am sorry, Jacey. Never should have pushed you. Kiss your boo boo to make up?” He nodded gently when his sister climbed in to the body. Extending the bruised wrist, Emma held it in her hands and lightly pecked on it. Meanwhile, you got a numbing cream for Jason and you stopped in the doorway with Chris and watched their interaction. They were your and Chris’s two little bundle of joys and you both couldn’t get enough.
“I am sorry that I yelled at you, baby. You two will not have your toys for a week. But who wants ice cream right now?” They both jumped at the mention of their favorite treat.
Chris had a way with the children. He completed all their wishes from eating ice cream as dinner or buying the most expensive toys for them. Making them happy was his primary job and he fulfilled it with great joy. However, he knew when to step up. He knew when to tell them no because he didn’t want his children to be some spoiled brats. He knew how to mediate and that was one of the many thing that you loved about him.
“I will get your jackets while daddy will help you with your shoes.” Going downstairs, you placed Dodger’s food in his bowl because you were going to be out for sometime. Chris always turns a simple outing to a full blown family day. A walk in the park, dinner at a high end restaurant and then shopping at the mall.
“Let’s go.” He buckled both the kids in their respective booster seats and made sure that they both had their preferred stuff toys. God knows, if they didn’t have them on their car ride.
The ice cream place on the fifth avenue was your favorite because it was where Chris took you on your first date. Both the children went for chocolate ice creams and Chris cleaned them up after they were done anything. It was so wholesome to watch him perform his dad duties.
“Then Oliver tried to eat dirt and the teacher gave him a time out.” You never understood why your son was friends with that boy because all he ever cared about was dirt.
“That’s why I hate boys. They are dirty.”
“That’s right, bubba. They are all dirty and disgusting. You stay away from all of them.” Gently nudging him with your shoulders, you playfully scoffed at him. He was sometimes very protective of his children.
“Ollie said girls also have icky germs.”
“Yes. You also stay away from them.” Chris was full on laughing at the situation right now because both the kids were in some serious thoughts.
“Okay dadda.” They both started skipping on the side walk and already started bickering about who was their dad’s favorite. He took you in his arms and kissed you on the forehead.
“Thank you for all this, babe. I love you.” He was truly thankful for you and for everything that you brought in his life.
“I love you too. Now let’s buckle them in before they start pushing each other again.”
Hope you guys enjoyed it!!

CHAPTER 21: IMPROVVISANDO
Music glossary: Improvvisando: with improvisation
Glossary: Wǎnshàng hǎo : Good evening Shīfù : Teacher/Master
(Mood music: Night of Beijing - Jia Peng Fang)
That evening
Marinette fidgeted with her napkin, occasionally sipping her now-lukewarm tea while sitting at the kitchen bar counter. Chat Noir sat on the stool beside her in silence, also nursing a half-emptied cup. She checked the clock for what seemed to be the hundredth time in the last few minutes.
“It’s about that time. I’ll head up to my room to let Ladybug inside. Will you get the door if your visitor arrives before she does?”
“Sure,” he replied, uneasy but compliant, doing his best to avoid staring at the black eye she’d received earlier that day.
Marinette set her cup in the sink and headed upstairs, leaving Chat alone with his thoughts.
He tried to keep his fast-beating heart in check, subconsciously clenching his jaw. It was finally happening. He was going to meet “him”: The Guardian of the Miraculous.
Following the events at school earlier that day, Adrien had walked Marinette to her house, where her family invited him to stay for a cup of tea until his “ride” arrived to pick him up. Of course, he’d eagerly accepted. It was nice to interact with the family as Adrien instead of just as Chat Noir.
After leaving, he hid away and transformed so he could sneak in through Marinette’s balcony as he usually did.
Upon transforming, however, he found a series of voice mails from Ladybug that she’d left during Adrien’s attempted abduction. Her voice was frantic. He could hear the urgency and distress in her tone, and a heavy blanket of guilt settled onto his shoulders as he listened.
The first message asked him to come to their school, that it was an emergency, to please call her back as soon as possible. He chewed on his lip, wanting nothing more than to hide away in a cave in shame.
The second one must have been left right after she’d rescued Adrien and left him at the school nurse; she’d called to let Chat know the incident had passed. Then she asked if he was okay, since she hadn’t heard back from him. He sighed. Typical Ladybug, always worrying and thinking about others first, even when she was having a rough time.
The last voicemail caused a trail of ice to trickle down his spine as he listened. Ladybug informed him that she had scheduled an impromptu meeting with the Guardian at the Dupain-Cheng’s house that evening, with Marinette’s permission, and that it was of utmost importance that he attend.
He shivered as goosebumps appeared on his arms and he swallowed hard. What was the purpose of this meeting? Was he in trouble for not showing up today during ‘Adrien’s’ kidnapping? And why meet here, at the Dupain home, instead of somewhere more private and away from civilians? What was the Guardian like? Would Chat get reprimanded and treated with disdain for having been their enemy for all these years, or would he be understanding and forgiving?
More importantly, would he have to disclose his identity to him, or to both him and Ladybug, to prove his loyalty? He winced at the mere thought of it. The last thing he wanted was for Ladybug to think less of him, or to pity him. Especially after the kidnapping attempt.
Additionally, if they were to learn that Hawkmoth was Gabriel Agreste, would they want to confront him head-on? Adrien didn’t feel ready for that, for several reasons.
First of all, would he be able to protect Ladybug, as he’d promised her? Hawkmoth had shown that he’d developed some sort of new power. Either that, or an entirely different person had become involved and was helping him. In any case, he didn’t know what exactly they were dealing with anymore.
Secondly, if the time came and he had to hurt or even kill his father, he didn’t know if he’d be able to do it. Yes, Gabriel was a monster and Adrien despised what he had become. But what if the damage was reversible and there was still a way to bring him back to normal? He just had to know, before doing something he might permanently regret.
The sudden ringing of the doorbell startled Chat out of his thoughts and he practically fell off his seat.
He ran to answer the front door, looking to make sure no one else was around. At the last second, he remembered to detransform and slip on the hood of his zip-up sweater (the one Marinette had gifted him), pulling a scarf over his nose and mouth so he wouldn’t be recognized if anyone outside were to catch a glimpse of him.
He looked out through the peephole, only to see the very top of someone’s head, balding with grey hair, and a little bit of their eyebrows.
Huh. Somehow Adrien thought the Guardian would be a bit… taller?
He turned the knob and the door opened, its squeaking hinges somehow louder than usual. Peeking out from the side like a scared tortoise, he checked to make sure the individual matched the description he was given, then stepped back to allow the door to swing open all the way. The older man stepped inside, closing it behind him.
“Hello,” Adrien said meekly, bowing his head slightly. “You must be…”
“Yes. I am Wang Fu,” he replied, bowing politely in greeting. “It is very good to see you again, Adrien Agreste.”
While Adrien’s face scarf efficiently concealed the way his jaw dropped when the elder man called him by name, there was no hiding the way his eyes grew to the size of dinner plates.
“W- what?!” he sputtered. “How did you—”
The man called Fu chuckled, stroking his beard. “It was a long time ago, but we’ve met before.”
Adrien lowered his scarf and frowned in concentration, falling silent for a few seconds. Then it dawned on him.
“YOU!!” he gaped. “I do remember you! It was my first day of lycée! You fell down in front of our school and I helped you up. It was you who put the cat miraculous in my bag that day, wasn’t it?”
“That is correct,” Fu confirmed.
“But why me? You could’ve picked anyone, so why did you choose someone like me?”
Fu’s smile faltered when he said this. Adrien had said “anyone”, but he could see that Fu knew what he’d actually meant. Why did you choose someone as broken as me?
The man folded his arms behind him, considering his answer. “Guardians are bestowed with several powers and abilities. One of them is to locate and select good candidates for the miraculous jewels. And so I was led to you.”
Chat grimaced in confusion. “So if you already knew it was me, why bother to ‘test’ me?”
“My powers as a guardian may lead me to a potential candidate, but ultimately the choice is still mine to make. It was a simple test, but it showed me what your first instinct would be if you saw someone in need. The answer I received was satisfactory. You were meant to be Ladybug’s Chat Noir.”
Adrien sighed, running a shaky hand through his hair. “Honestly, a couple of months ago I wouldn’t have known whether to hug you because I got to become Chat Noir, or whether to punch you because I had to become Chat Noir. But it’s because of you that I got to meet Ladybug, so I am grateful to you for that. It’s good to finally meet you. Officially.”
He extended his hand and Fu took it with a smile, giving it a firm shake.
Afterwards, Adrien’s gaze fell, brows scrunching together. “I can’t believe it. All this time, you knew. You could’ve told Ladybug who I was years ago. She could have figured out a way to take away my miraculous while I wasn’t transformed, like at school, and she would’ve had one less enemy to deal with. It would’ve––” he pursed his lips, expression full of shame, and he lifted his eyes to meet Fu’s once again, “–it would’ve made it easier for her. She would’ve suffered less if I’d been out of the picture. So why didn’t you?”
Fu’s countenance became somber, his eyes carrying years of pain and regret. He took a few moments to consider his words. “When I was a boy, barely a teenager, something terrible happened. Hundreds of innocent people died, and it was all because of me.”
Chat almost reeled back as if he’d been smacked across the face, puzzled about the sudden switch in topic. He remembered Ladybug briefly mentioning this a few months ago, on the night they danced together. He waited for Fu to elaborate.
“I was only trying to protect them,” the older man explained. “After I was orphaned as a child, the monks of the Guardian Temple took me in. They became my family. They were stern, but fair and kind. It was a tough childhood, but I was happy.” He sighed. “However, there were those who would try to steal the miraculous and use their power selfishly. It was an endless struggle. Many were lost over the years. I longed for peace. I wanted my family to be safe, I wanted us to be left alone. So I did what I thought would be a better route, an easier one; one with less hardship and bloodshed. You see, one day while I was supposed to be on guard duty, I sneaked away to where the miraculous box was kept. I put on both the ladybug and cat miraculouses and used them to make a wish: I wished that our enemies would disappear.”
The older man exhaled, squeezing his eyes shut, the memories of what came next clearly still haunting him. Adrien couldn’t help but hold his breath while he listened.
“It worked,” Fu resumed, voice quiet and slightly shaky. “But as you might have suspected, there is always a price to pay; a balance that must be maintained. Therefore, because of my wish, all the monks in our Guardian temple and the innocent people of the surrounding village were ripped away from me, along with our enemies. The wish was technically fulfilled, but I never suspected that the cost would be that high. I have had to live with that in my conscience for over a hundred years.”
He clasped his hands behind his back, appearing more vulnerable than Adrien would have ever expected. He continued, “Since that time, I have both seen and caused much death in my lifetime, protecting the miraculous box alone as the last Guardian. So, you see, if there was even one person I could save, I had to try. I wanted to trust in the miraculouses, like I should have decades ago, during my misguided attempt to control the outcome of a complicated situation.”
Adrien absently rubbed his arm, pondering Fu’s words. “Looking back,” he began, “I can see the reasoning behind a lot of Ladybug’s decisions and principles, now that I know your story.”
“Indeed. Ladybug is a remarkable young lady; I knew that even back then. When I would ask her if she was willing to risk her life for the sake of a stranger, she would say yes, every single time. If anyone can persevere for the greater good, it was her. Was it unfair of me? Probably. Have I asked too much from her? Absolutely. Have I made mistakes while trying to guide her? Yes. Many of them.” He put his hand on Adrien’s shoulder. “I wanted to save you that day by giving you the cat miraculous. But I never would have guessed that it would also doom you and force you into a role of servitude. I hope that you will forgive me for this.”
Adrien’s heart pained for Fu as he admitted his guilt. “You couldn’t have known it would’ve turned out that way. It wasn’t your fault,” he insisted.
Fu shrugged. “I try to tell myself that, but I can’t quite convince myself. The situation made sense once Ladybug told me about Hawkmoth.”
“You mean, when she told you that Hawkmoth was my father?” Adrien asked.
“Yes,” Fu replied. “I had my suspicions, because it would explain your motivations, but I had no proof, no way of finding out for sure. It made sense that Hawkmoth would be Gabriel Agreste. The butterfly miraculous requires its wielder to be creative and inventive, since it relies on their ability to convert the subject’s emotions into a source of power. And he had the motivation.”
Adrien hummed in agreement.
“Additionally, such a clever and talented individual getting ahold of the cat miraculous would be incredibly dangerous. I’d be lying if I said I had never considered taking your miraculous away. But even still, it was safer to let it all play out. I didn’t want to repeat past mistakes. And if Hawkmoth was Gabriel Agreste, your fate if you were to lose the cat miraculous would have been disastrous. Maybe it would have even alerted him about the presence of a Guardian in Paris. But now that we know the truth, we can plan accordingly.”
Adrien gulped. So Fu had considered taking his miraculous away before. “A-are you going to tell Ladybug who I am?”
Fu shook his head. “It is not up to me to decide when it will be right for there to be no more secrets between you two. I only know that it is not yet time.”
Adrien curiously tilted his head, brows furrowed in confusion. “How do you know that?”
As Fu started to answer, Adrien heard a doorknob twist open behind him and he quickly pulled his scarf back over his features.
The door opened and Ladybug’s voice exclaimed, “There you are! What are you two doing out here in the entryway?”
Adrien cleared his throat, then stammered, “R-right, pardon my manners. Please, come in.”
Fu walked past him, entering the living area. He took Ladybug’s hands between his, shaking them briefly, and said, “Wǎnshàng hǎo, Ladybug.”
With a small bow, Ladybug replied, “Wǎnshàng hǎo, shīfù. Thank you for coming at such short notice. Please, have a seat.”
Chat entered the room, having transformed now, and stepped forward to greet her.
He stopped short, realizing that he wasn’t quite sure how to greet her since last night’s development in their relationship, not to mention being very conscious of the Guardian watching them. He settled for a hug, which she returned, squeezing him tightly, and added a quick, discreet peck on his cheek. He smiled, feeling his face heat up.
Pleasantries aside and everyone seated, it was Ladybug who spoke first.
“Thank you both for being here. There’s a lot we need to talk about.”
----------
A transformed Wang Fu stood at the bedroom window, curtains drawn, chanting in a language that neither Ladybug nor Chat Noir understood, holding the last of several metallic talismans he’d blessed and scattered around the room. The pair kept their eyes on him, marveling at the efficiency and care that he put into each incantation. There was something sacred, even holy about this ritual. They could feel powerful magic emanating from his form, invisible bursts of energy swirling about the room, dancing all around them in a silent symphony.
Ladybug cast a furtive glance at her partner. He’d been quiet for a little while, after learning about his attempted akumatization the night before. Ladybug had told him that it was Marinette who let her know, and that Plagg was the one who had informed her.
She’d called Master Fu before going to school to let him know what happened last night, and he promised he would figure out a solution. He’d spent all day preparing these special talismans, which would ward off akumas and keep them from entering this room. But only this room. He wasn’t strong enough to cast such a potent, long-term spell over a larger area; especially not at his age.
Fu, or rather, Jade Turtle, was silent for a few moments after placing the last charm, a silver one with indecipherable symbols carved into it, then turned around to face the couple.
“The talismans are almost done being enchanted,” he said, pretty out of breath, beads of sweat present on his brow. “There is one more thing that needs to be done. But I think I’ll need your help for this, Ladybug.”
Ladybug stepped forward in response. “Sure, Master. What is it?”
“I would do it myself, but, well… let’s just say I’m not as young as I used to be.”
“Of course Master, anything you need. Just tell me what to do.”
Fu removed his bracelet, the turtle miraculous, and turned back to his civilian self, then handed the jewelry to her. His kwami, Wayzz, floated next to them awaiting instruction.
“If you could transform with my miraculous to finish the protection spell, I’d very much appreciate it. I’ll show you what to do when you’re ready.”
The young woman gaped at him, having never transformed into any hero other than Ladybug before.
“Oh! R-really?? S-sure! No problem...” She took the bracelet hesitantly, studying it like she’d never seen it before, then excused herself to the ensuite for privacy.
In the bathroom, Ladybug detransformed and removed her earrings, handing them to Tikki for safekeeping. She put on the emerald stone bracelet, staring at it as if it might try to crawl away from her if she wasn’t careful enough.
She squeezed her eyes shut in preparation. “Wayzz, shell on.”
Jade green light shone around the bathroom, and Marinette felt the magic of the turtle miraculous engulf her form. When it passed, she gulped and opened her eyes, lifting them to the mirror to catch a glimpse of her newly transformed self.
“Whoa.”
Tumblr media
The heroine stared at her reflection across the way. She ran her fingers over the various bits of fabric and armor, taking the time to appreciate the feel and texture. Somehow, she felt quite powerful. Tough. Solid. Almost like a sentient brick wall.
“Wow, Marinette! You look incredible!” Tikki whispered to her.
“Aww, thank you Tikki,” she replied. “It feels so different, but it’s also really cool.”
Sparing one last glance into the mirror, she finally emerged from the bathroom. Fu was seated at the desk chair across the room, taking a short breather. Chat was speaking to him in hushed tones, but turned around when he heard her re-enter the bedroom.
His jaw dropped and he gasped.
“Oh my God, you’re adorable!” Chat blurted out. He caught himself and turned tomato red, then stuttered, “Umm! S-sorry, I––”
Ladybug (Lady...turtle??) giggled, stepping forward to stand beside him once again. “Thanks,” she replied shyly, reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear as she usually did when she was nervous, but her hand bumped into her suit’s hood instead. Not quite sure what to do with her hands, she folded them in front of her as she awaited further instruction.
Tikki flew in front of Master Fu, bowing her head in greeting. “It’s good to see you again, Master!”
“Likewise. I hope you are doing well,” he greeted back.
Tikki flew over to Chat Noir, to say hello to him as well. “Hello, Chat Noir! It’s nice to formally meet you,” she chirped happily.
Chat beamed and answered, “Tikki, right? It’s great to finally meet you too! I must admit, you look a little different than I thought you would.”
Tikki giggled. “Did you think I’d be more insect-like? Maybe with six legs and an exoskeleton?”
Chat shrugged timidly. “Well, I mean… Maybe…?” ‘Ladybug’ and Tikki looked at each other and snickered at his reply.
Fu smiled at their interactions fondly, recalling times spent with loved ones, allies no longer here. With a small grunt, he stood up to continue the protection ritual.
“This way, Ladybug. Chat Noir and Tikki, please stand over there; we’ll need a bit of space for this. You might feel a bit tired once this is finished, so be sure to get plenty of rest tonight,” he instructed.
Tikki perched on Chat’s shoulder as he moved towards the edge of the room. They spoke in hushed voices as Fu instructed Ladybug and had her repeat phrases from his notes.
While they waited, Chat turned to Tikki and whispered, “By the way, I wanted to thank you... for helping Ladybug and keeping safe all these years. She means a lot to me.”
If kwamis could blush, Chat was sure that’s what Tikki’s face showed at the moment. “It’s been a pleasure to be her kwami. She’s the best! I’m glad you’ve gotten to know her and see what a sweet person she is.”
Chat smiled, cheeks dusted pink. “I am too.”
------
Many minutes passed, and Ladybug and Fu finished casting the protection ward. Chat helped Fu gather his things as Ladybug excused herself to transform back to her regular hero self.
As she re-emerged from the bathroom, Chat handed her a glass of water and invited her to sit on the bed so she could catch her breath and gather back some of her energy. “Welcome back, Lily-bug,” he greeted her with a wink. Ladybug beamed at him, accepting the water and taking a seat next to him.
Fu stood beside them, having finished gathering his belongings in a satchel. As he gave Ladybug time to rest, he asked, “Do either of you have any questions about the protection ritual, or about anything else?”
Ladybug replied, “I actually do have some questions, sir.”
Fu nodded.
“Master... why did Hawkmoth attempt to akumatize Chat Noir last night? If he’s tried it before, why did he not succeed during other nights?” Ladybug’s questions came faster once she got started. “Since he tried to akumatized Chat, does that mean he knows where he lives now? Is Chat even safe here anymore? What about the Dupains? Are they gonna be okay? How much does Hawkmoth know?”
Chat looked at Fu expectantly, realizing that he, too, had those same questions.
Fu replied, “The owner of the butterfly miraculous sends out his butterflies in search of a specific strong emotion, but is not aware of their location until after the host accepts it. He is able to learn some vague details about why they are feeling that certain emotion. My guess is that he was able to locate him while he was having a nightmare. So, no. He does not know that Chat Noir lives here. His powers have limitations, just like you do with yours. He is more powerful since he is older and more experienced, but even he can’t overextend the capabilities of his miraculous.”
He paused, stroking his beard, and contemplated. Then he asked, “Did something happen last night to make your emotions different from what they normally are?”
Ladybug and Chat Noir looked at each other, blushing furiously, stammering as they attempted to answer without divulging too much unnecessary information.
Fu raised an eyebrow, then chuckled knowingly, raising his hands to stop them. “It’s okay, I don’t need to know the details.”
“Umm! I-it’s not what you think!”
“M-master, don’t misunderstand–”
“Y-you see–”
“What happened was…”
“My guess is–” Fu interrupted, “–That Hawkmoth sensed your great joy last night, and became enraged. He couldn’t stand the thought of you being happy because it would mean that he is in the wrong, and his pride won’t allow him to accept that.”
Chat and Ladybug fell silent, looking downcast, as the explanation both made sense yet was immensely disheartening.
“There’s something else, Master,” Ladybug spoke again. “Something happened at school today. Akumas, but they vanished without a trace. I mentioned it to you earlier today over the phone. Have you ever heard of such a thing?”
“Ah, yes. And all that remained was two white feathers?” Fu asked.
“That’s right. Could the akumas still be out there because they haven’t been purified?”
Fu shook his head. “Allow me to explain. Firstly, as Ladybug already knows, two of the miraculouses in my box went missing when the temple of the guardians was destroyed: the butterfly and the peacock. One of them fell into Hawkmoth’s hands sometime within the last few years. But after hearing about what happened at the school today, we can now confirm that Hawkmoth is currently in possession of not just one, but of both of them. Either that, or he has someone else working under him.”
“The Peacock… of course!” Ladybug gasped, voice filled with dread.
Chat looked at her, then back at Fu, waiting for him to elaborate.
“The Guardian’s Grimoire calls them ‘sentimonsters’, mystical beings created out of thin air using the peacock miraculous, which harnesses the power of emotions. They can be created and destroyed whenever the wielder desires. Usually they are simple creatures, designed to be helpers or perform smaller tasks. However, they can also be more sophisticated, even indistinguishable from other humans, although an enormous amount of energy is required to create these complex sentimonsters. One can even ‘borrow’ the appearance of an already existing person. In this case, Hawkmoth chose not to give the sentimonsters the ability to speak, so they couldn’t divulge their secrets, in the event that they were caught.”
Ladybug shuddered. “What the hell?! That is so creepy.”
“Indeed.” Fu looked over at Chat, who had remained pensive throughout this exchange. “Any thoughts, Chat Noir?”
Chat looked up at him, trying to figure out how to phrase what he wanted to say. “I… I think I remember seeing the peacock miraculous in my father’s safe once. I only caught a glimpse of it; I just thought it was some of my mom’s jewelry he kept as a memento. I had no idea it was a miraculous. Otherwise, I would’ve had Plagg help me break into the safe and taken it with me when I ran away from home. There are so many things my father never told me… I’m sorry I don’t know more.”
Ladybug reached out to hold his hand, giving it a small squeeze, which he returned.
“You’ve done more than you know, believe me,” Fu replied as he unconsciously squeezed his satchel, which contained the electronic tablet where his copy of the Grimoire was stored.
He stuck his hand in his pocket and stepped forward, handing Chat Noir a card with his cell phone number.
“Call me if you have any questions, either of you. Even if it’s the middle of the night. Wayzz will make sure I hear my phone if it rings; he’s a much lighter sleeper than I am.”
“Thank you, Master Fu,” replied Chat, smiling. “And thank you too, Wayzz.”
“Thanks, Wayzz. Thank you, Master.” said Ladybug.
“Also, I must remind you once again that your identities must remain a secret until things settle down. There are negative effects that could happen if you are revealed too soon, and I’m not sure what they could be; but it’s best not to find out.”
Ladybug frowned. “But when will that be, Master? It would be so much easier to be able to communicate without having to transform.”
Fu shrugged helplessly. “I’m afraid I don’t have an answer for that. We must allow things to continue to develop on their own. I'm sure we’ll know when the time is right.”
Ladybug let out a displeased sigh. Chat nodded, glancing away with a worried look in his eyes. Despite Ladybug’s eagerness (and despite his own curiosity), waiting suited him just fine for now.
After saying their goodbyes, Fu left the pair behind and let himself out with a final wave. The two heroes remained in the bedroom, contemplating what had been discussed.
After sitting in silence for a few moments, unsure of what to say next, a lightbulb seemed to light up inside Ladybug’s brain, and she began typing away into her yo-yo communicator. Chat watched curiously, wondering what she was up to.
Moments later, she hopped out of the bed to jot something down onto a sticky note from Chat’s desk, then walked back.
“Just because we can’t tell each other who we are doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to contact each other when we’re not transformed. Kwamis aren’t pagers, after all.”
“Pagers? What decade is this, anyway?” Chat razzed.
“Hush, you,” she mock scolded him, suppressing a smile. “ Anyway! Here’s my brand new, Chat Noir-exclusive email address,” she said, handing him the note with a wink.
Chat’s eyes lit up. “Wait, really??” He unfolded the paper as if it was a Christmas present, excited to read the contents. His eyes widened and he burst out laughing.
“ ‘[email protected]’ ?!”
“What, you don't think I’m great?” she teased, striking an exaggerated, Chat Noir-style pose.
Chat’s snickering only intensified and he nodded. “Oh, for sure! The greatest!” he agreed.
Ladybug smirked. “I made it just now,” she explained. “So you’re the only one who knows about it. We may not be able to hang out in person yet, but I’d still like to talk to you during the day. Plus, it’ll come in handy for emergencies.”
“Buginette you’re a genius!”
Ladybug giggled, feeling her face warm up despite herself. “M-maybe we can message each other when you have some free time? I mean… now that you don’t have to worry about getting akumatized in your own room anymore. Your bedroom’s pretty much the safest place in Paris now, thanks to Master Fu.”
“And thanks to you, as well, my dear ‘Lily-bug’,” Chat reached up to take her hand, gently pulling her down to sit next to him. “I feel much better already. And knowing I can talk to you anytime makes me feel even safer.”
She scooted closer, setting her head down on his shoulder. “Y-you know… you make me feel safe too, Kitty.”
Chat’s insides twisted into pleasant little knots, suddenly feeling rather warm. “Really?”
He felt her smile as her hand squeezed his arm, her other one sneaking across their laps to wrap her fingers around his own. “Yeah. I know we’ve only been allies for a short time, but I’ve already lost count of all the times you’ve saved me or sacrificed yourself to help others. Our partnership grows stronger every day, and I think Hawkmoth knows it. He knows we’re stronger together. And it’s only a matter of time until we can be together without these masks too, I just know it.”
He turned towards her, putting his fingers under her chin and lifting her head to have her look up at him. Their eyes met, her pupils dilating as they focused on his own, and he could see a bright blush blooming on her cheeks.
“Me too,” he whispered, as he brought their lips together.
She blissfully melted into him, letting out a small noise of contentment. She deepened the kiss, reaching behind his head to caress his hair with her slender fingers. Their kisses and breaths mingled together and they lost track of everything else around them.
A little while later, they faintly heard the grandfather clock striking the hour in the living room, then some noises as the Dupains shuffled upstairs from the bakery to get ready for bed.
Ladybug pulled back and they separated, his lips still tingling from her touch.
“I… I should probably get going soon,” she lamented with a small shrug. “It’s starting to get late.”
“Would you like me to walk you home? Or rather, to somewhere around your neighborhood?”
She shook her head. “That’s not necessary. Besides, I’m closer than you might think,” she added a bit cryptically.
“I wish you could stay,” he said softly, reaching up to tuck some hair behind her ear. He gave her nose a tiny smooch. “Just a teeeeensy bit more?” he begged, giving her the best kitten eyes he could muster.
Ladybug giggled shyly, cheeks still dusted with pink. She gave his own nose a peck, her lips soft and inviting. “Well… I guess I could stay just a little bit longer,” she said with a smirk.
“Purr- fect,” he said, capturing her lips once again.

Note:
Many of the events in the “Volpina” and “Collector” episodes happened in this AU, albeit heavily modified to suit the story. Adrien found the grimoire in his father’s safe, took it out to study it, and Lila stole it. Since Adrien didn’t act impressed about Lila knowing Ladybug, she didn’t magnify the lie and claim to be Ladybug’s best friend; therefore, Ladybug never showed up to call her out on her lie, and Lila was never akumatized.
However, Tikki did see the book in the dumpster and retrieved it, and Marinette showed it to Master Fu. After Gabriel discovered the book was missing and pulled Adrien out of school, Fu made a copy so that Marinette could return it to Gabriel, and Adrien was allowed to attend school again. Currently, Adrien has no idea that this is how Fu acquired his grimoire; he merely assumes that Fu has always had his own copy.
Of course, Marinette began to suspect that Gabriel might be Hawkmoth because he owned the grimoire. Gabriel akumatized himself into the Collector in order to avoid suspicion, and with Chat’s help, almost succeeded in obtaining the ladybug miraculous. Ultimately, Ladybug outsmarted him, got him to accidentally “collect” Chat, and succeeded in purifying his akuma. But by then, Gabriel had “proven” he was an innocent civilian and Ladybug dismissed his potential involvement as Hawkmoth.
----
P.S.  Another note: Certain things that are similar but not identical to canon have been in my outline since the beginning, so I apologize if they're a little confusing (such as the protection talismans being similar to Ladybug's akuma victims' lucky charms or the destruction/disappearance of the Guardian Temple)

Fandom: Obey Me
Pairing: Demon Bros x gn!Reader, platonic.
Warning: None
Requested by: Anon
Prompt: Could you do a one-shot where Lucifer arrives home after a looong day and walks in on his brothers laughing up a storm because teen MC accidentally exclaimed "Dad's home!" when they saw him?
A/N: Anon, I am SO sorry for taking so long! >< I like to write one-shot in one go, and recently I’ve been very busy. I hope you like it!
Word Count: 2,287
———————————————
Everything that could've gone wrong went wrong. First, Lucifer stayed up all night to finish a report for the RAD council. Then in the morning, his brothers ended up arguing and got into a food fight, so he had to forgo breakfast. When he got to RAD, he learned that Diavolo ran away to escape his responsibilities, leaving Lucifer a tall stack of papers to read and sign. On top of that, since the butler was out searching for the prince, the Avatar of Pride had to take care of Barbatos's student council work as well. For this reason, he had to ignore his rumbling stomach and skip lunch.
Just when Lucifer thought he could rest, a fight broke out between two lesser demons. Then he got caught in the middle of a prank and got doused in water, followed by pink glitter. There went his new clothes. After he left RAD, the raven-haired man stopped to get a snack but got attacked by hungry Devildom birds and had to give up his food. When he decided to head home, Diavolo showed up and asked Lucifer to save him from Barbatos; instead of helping the prince, the Avatar of Pride gave him a lecture which drained the remaining energy from his exhausted body. So, by the time Lucifer reach the House of Lamentation, he had no strength left.
All he wanted to do was eat, go straight to his room, and drink wine while listening to his favorite CD. The demon expected all his brothers to be busy with school work, but instead, he found them in the living room in a rather chaotic state. Mammon was rolling on the ground, holding his stomach and laughing up a storm; Levi sat on one of the sofas with both hands over his mouth, trying to suppress his chuckles; Satan leaned against Asmo's shoulder, laughing and wiping his tears, while Asmo pressed the tips of his fingers to his lips and giggled; Beel held onto his stomach and repeatedly hit one of his large hands on the center table, laughing heartily; the youngest brother was curled up on the couch beside his twin, chuckling. You stood near the fireplace, biting down on your lower lip, but as soon as you saw Lucifer, you covered your mouth quickly, hoping he didn't hear your words.
Seeing the state of his family, Lucifer felt like hitting his head on a wall. All eyes turned to him, expecting him to question them or cross his arms and frown at their behavior, but the eldest brother chose to turn on his heels and dragged his feet towards his bedroom.
Asmo and Satan stopped laughing and exchanged glances as soon as they saw him exit the room. Belphie saw his older brothers' reactions and wondered what happened. He tugged on Beel's shirt to get him to stop laughing. Levi blinked in confusion, questioning why his tyrant brother walked away without saying a word. Mammon didn't get the message and continued laughing until Satan threw a pillow at him.
"Hey, whatcha do that for?" The Avatar of Greed asked as he sat up and smoothed out his disheveled hair.
"Is Luci okay?" You questioned, not expecting him to give such an unusual reaction, "Should...we go check on him?"
Before anyone could reply to your question, a familiar voice interrupted, "Pardon my intrusion, but would Lucifer happen to be here?"
"He just came home," you replied, "hey, Barbatos, did something happen to Lucifer? He...didn't seem like himself."
"I thought that may be the case," the butler touched his chin and sighed before explaining the events that took place throughout Lucifer's day.
"You know, Luci always does so much for us," you mumbled and glanced at the ground, "we always cause trouble for him, but he still takes care of us. I think this time, we should do something for him!"
Your lips tugged into a smile as you held up your curled hands close to your face, "Let's turn his bad day into a good day."
The brothers pondered for a second, and Asmo was the first to speak, "I agree. Whenever I have fashion emergencies, I can always count on Lucifer to help me."
Beel nodded in agreement, "Whenever I ask him for his food, he gives it to me. Also...he took care of Lilith a lot."
Belphie's muscles momentarily stiffened at hearing his sister's name, but he regained his composure. "He locked me in the attic to protect me...even though I caused him trouble."
Levi twirled the cable of his headphone around his index finger while mumbling, "He always makes sure my bank account is full, so I can buy all the games I want."
"He takes Goldie away from me," Mammon sighed and averted his eyes, "but to keep me from running into debt."
All eyes turned to Satan, waiting for him to add his point to the conversation. The Avatar of Wrath crossed his arms as the corners of his lips turned down, "What? You really want me to say something nice about Lucifer?"
"Come on, Satan," you pouted, "you know he has done nice things for you. Admit it! It's not like Lucifer is around to hear you praising him."
After a moment of silence, the blond man shook his head and admitted defeat. "Fine, even though I always hated him, Lucifer still looked out for me."
"See, that wasn't hard, was it?" You chuckled, earning a deeper frown from him.
"Seems like all of you have the situation under control," Barbatos smiled, "Then I shall take my leave. If you require my aid, then do let me know. Please excuse me."
----
Asmo opened the door to his elder brother's room and peeked inside. "Luci? Sorry, to disturb you."
The Avatar of Pride sat on the chair next to the fireplace with his arms crossed over his chest and head thrown back. He didn't open his eyes but motioned his brother to come inside.
"What's wrong?" Luci asked in a sapped voice, slightly opening his eyes.
"I need you to come with me." Asmo took hold of his brother's hand and helped him to his feet before Lucifer could protest in any way.
"Can this wait?"
"No, sorry!" Asmo forced a small smile as he studied his sibling's lifeless face.
Upon reaching his room, the Avatar of Lust asked his sibling to lie on his bed faced down. At first, the elder brother looked at Asmo with a raised eyebrow, but lacking the strength to protest, he gave in. While the other brothers fulfilled their duties, Asmo kept Lucifer busy with a body and face massage.
"Asmo, what is going on?" The raven-haired man asked in a muffled voice.
"Shh, no talking allowed. Just relax." The Avatar of Lust cooed as he worked his fingers to break the pent-up tension in his brother's muscles. In the meantime, Belphie and Levi snuck into Luci's room to draw him a relaxing bath with candles and soothing music.
"D-Do you really think this will help?" Levi asked while lighting the silver-colored candles around the black bathtub.
"It will help. Besides, we need to give Asmo time to sneak out and buy Lucifer a new outfit. Levi, while I add the final touches, go tell Asmo we're done."
After Belphie added the remaining petals in the bathtub, he made his way to the kitchen to check on his twin and Mammon.
"Beel! Don't touch that," Mammon loudly said as he whacked the top of his younger brother's hand, "Remember, we are cookin' for Lucifer."
"Beel, are you hungry again?" Belphie chuckled, stepping into the kitchen to find his twin pouting. The Avatar of Gluttony touched his growling stomach and nodded once.
"How are ya still hungry? You ate everything we made just a few minutes ago," Mammon sighed and shook his head in disapproval, "Belphie, will ya make sure he doesn't eat any of Lucifer's food? We don't have enough ingredients to cook everything again."
"I p-promise I won't eat anything." The orange-haired demon lowered his head and looked at the older demon through his bangs.
"Don't gimme that look. We'll getcha somethin' to eat after, 'kay?"
Beel's eyes lit as he vigorously nodded, "Let me help you with the vegetables."
"So, how's everything goin' on your end?" Mammon asked as monitored the food on the stove.
"Lucifer got his massage and should be relaxing in the tub. Asmo will leave to buy his new outfit soon." Belphie leaned again the wall and watched Beel rhythmically chopping the red, green, and orange vegetables.
“What about Satan and (Y/N)? Did they message ya?”
“Yeah, Satan said (Y/N) gave an earful to Diavolo for giving Lucifer and Barbatos a hard time,” Belphie smiled and rolled his long bang between his right thumb and index finger, “I wish I could’ve been there.”
----
Meanwhile, you and Satan worked with the prince and his demon butler to finish some of Lucifer's student council work.
"Prince Diavolo, I apologize for crossing my limits earlier, but you are the Ruler of Devildom. That means you have certain responsibilities to fulfill whether you like it or not," you huffed, "you can’t push those duties on others. Lucifer and Barbatos already do quite a lot for you, so please don't give them a difficult time. Promise me, you won't."
Satan pressed his lips into a firm line to hold back his laughter while Barbatos quietly chuckled to himself. Diavolo exhaled loudly and shook his head, feeling guilty for his actions.
"I promise. Barbatos, deliver an apology gift basket to Lucifer on my behalf. Also, let him know that he has the day off tomorrow."
"Of course, my lord." The green-haired butler glanced at you with a smile before exiting the room to purchase the present.
----
An hour later, you and Satan return to the House of Lamentation to find Mammon and Beel heading to Lucifer's room with a tray in hand. As the four of you reached the Avatar of Pride's bedroom, you saw the remaining brothers waiting in front of the door.
"Ah, seems like everyone is here," Asmo smiled and knocked on the door, "Lucifer, we are coming inside."
The Avatar of Pride was stunned to see the group enter his room but stared wordlessly. He scanned all of your faces with unreadable eyes, waiting for one of you to speak.
"Here," Mammon broke the silence as he set the food tray on the center table, followed by Beel. "We heard you haven't eaten today..."
Lucifer lifted the silver cloches to find three meals, an appetizer, main course, and dessert, messily arranged on fine china plates with intricate gold patterns. He examined the dishes but stopped to stare at the cake with a missing piece.
"B-Beel, you promised you wouldn't eat anything," Mammon rested his hands on his hips and shot a glare towards his younger brother.
"S-Sorry...I couldn't wait to eat," The Avatar of Gluttony innocently replied.
To everyone's surprise, Lucifer started chuckling, "Thank you, Mammon, Beel."
"Luci, I got you a new replacement outfit," Asmo chimed, "Though I must say, you looked quite good covered in pink glitter."
"Oh, I also have something I would like to tell you," you chirped and clapped your hand together, "you have the day off tomorrow!"
The raven-haired glanced at you with wide eyes, but before he could ask you why a loud knock echoed through the bedroom. All heads turned to see Barbatos stepping in with a large gift basket. "Pardon me, but Lucifer, Lord Diavolo asked me to deliver this on his behalf. He also wishes to apologize to you for causing you trouble today."
For a while, the Avatar of Pride grew quiet as he pieced the events of the day together. His lips curled up into a rather soft smile, "Thank you, everyone, for turning my day around, but I advise you not to get used to this kinder side of mine. I am curious about one thing though, what were all of you laughing at earlier today?"
"Oh dear, look at the time," Asmo gasped as he covered his cheeks,  "I need to go moisturize my bedroom."
Mammon watched Asmo skip out of the room and quickly added, "Uh, I think I left the stove on. Lemme go turn it off before the house burns down."
Levi looked around the room nervously as Mammon ran out of the room. "Um, I w-will go get g-gasoline to put out the fire..." The Avatar of Envy stiffly walked out the room, nearly tripping over his feet.
"I need to finish a report and pull an all-nighter," Belphie mumbled before turning on his heels and quickly sliding his feet across the hardwood floor.
"I need to go burn my book," Satan said and power walked out, mentally beating himself for making a senseless excuse.
Beel tilted his head to one side and blinked, "Why did everyone leave?"
"I should return to the castle to babysi- I mean to attend to Lord Diavolo," Barbatos chuckled and excused himself.
"Uh, I need to...go summon the devil. See ya!" You flashed a toothy grin and raced out of the room. Lucifer watched all of you with one eyebrow tugged up.
"Beel," he shifted his attention to the only remaining brother, "tell me, why was everyone laughing earlier?"
The tall demon chuckled, remembering your word, and blurted, "When (Y/N) saw you at the front door, they ran into the living room and said 'dad's home'."
"Dad...," Lucifer slumped on the sofa and touched his forehead with his thumb and index finger, "is that what (Y/N) thinks of me as? I suddenly don't feel well."

Reaction: Having sex with the companions
Cait
At first, Cait would be an absolute animal in bed. No shame, no holding back, just raw, animalistic sex, and the more worn out you were after the deed, the more satisfied she was. Almost like she had something to prove. And she realized quite soon that that was indeed the case. Not that you had put expectations on her, but she had a reputation and though she trusted you enough to be open to you and even let you help with her drug problem, there were times when she - subconsciously - would slip back into her old defense mechanisms. Depending on how close you two were the first time you had sex, it might take quite some time or not at all for Cait to open up to you about all of this and tell you that she’d be down to take things slower if you want to do that. Wanting to make her feel loved, you of course take her up on that offer and the first time you two took things slow in bed was for the both of you probably the best sex you ever had. Though she wouldn’t likely want to admit that, and keep these moments of slow love making for special occasions.
Curie
Curie would be pretty much down for anything as her curiosity almost always got the best of her. That same curiosity would make things awkward sometimes though as she’d ask very non sexy questions during the deed or explain the more biological processes that went on in your bodies while you were just trying to make her feel good… Overall, sex with Curie would include a lot of experimenting and getting to know each other’s bodies from head to toe.
Danse
Danse would be quite new to the concept. Him being a man of protocol, not personal relationships, made the whole thing quite nervewrecking for him. But soon he would lose himself in how good it felt, how good you felt. He’d love to be close to you, holding you or burying his face in your neck, but always making sure to be gentle with you throughout the whole experience. If the events of blind betrayal had already taken place, it would take Danse a lot longer to get to this stage. No matter how much you reassured him that you loved him no matter what, there’d always be this little voice in the back of his head reminding him that you deserved so much better than someone… something like him. He wouldn’t say no to you if you wanted sex, in fact he’s probably do everything you wanted him to, because being as flawed as he was, the least he could do was obey your every wish and command. Sex would revolve completely around you, with Danse almost forgetting to enjoy himself whilst busy making you feel good. If your relationship kept going strong however and you kept reassuring him of how much you loved him he would eventually try to push his insecurity and doubt away and Danse would start behaving like I described in the beginning of this reaction.
Deacon
Deacon isn’t the kind of guy to mindlessly have sex with people ever since Barbara died. The few times he had were always mere days before a facial reconstruction surgery, so he’d never have to actually “face” the people he’d share a bed with. So it can be safe to assume that if you’ve reached the point in your relationship where Deacon is willing to have sex with you, he already trusts you 100%. Deacon will be rather careful the first few times you two have sex. He’d want to make you feel good, as it had been a while since he has cared about the pleasure of the person he shared a bed with, never mind his own pleasure. So the first few times would be all about you. Only after you’d both discover each other’s turn ons, kinks and/or sensitive spots would Deacon try some light teasing. If you’d react positively to it, the teasing would get worse over time, until eventually pushing your boundaries would become almost routine during sex. He didn’t mind you doing the same to him, though if he could choose, he’d definitely prefer to be in control.
Hancock
With Hancock it’s neither trust nor experience that’s the problem. He has enough experience to last him a lifetime (or two), and if you say you love him, he wholeheartedly believes you. What was holding him back however was his low self esteem. Sure you said you loved him, but you’d never seen him naked before. Did you know what a ghoul’s body looked like? Probably not and whatever you were imagining, it probably wouldn’t be nearly as pretty. He’d ask you a few times whether you were 100% sure you wanted this and if you insisted that you were, he’d end up fulfilling your wish. If he noticed that you weren’t grossed out by his body he’d become more confident and sex would become a much more frequent occurrence. Hancock would be open for trying literally anything you wanted, but he’d never push his own kinks onto you (sure he’d talk dirty to you and tease you occasionally, but he would never ask if he can blindfold or tie you up for example, though he’d never refuse it if you suggested it).
MacCready
Sex with MacCready would be unpredictable. He’s open to trying a lot of things, he has no preferable position or location, and on top of that, he’s still really young so his need for sex would pop up in the most random of situations. If you’d have a particularly weird or uncommon kink, he’d might take some convincing before he’d be down to try it, and most of the time he’d take most pleasure just doing things vanilla.
Nick
Doesn’t take you seriously at all. He thinks you’re either joking or completely out of your mind the first few times you tell him you’re down to have sex with him. He doesn’t think your humor is great, but he’ll just brush off whatever you said without going in on that. It’ll go so far that you actually get upset with him about his dismissive demeanor that you just straight up ask him: “What is so wrong with me that you don’t want to have sex with me?” This is the moment Nick actually realizes that you’ve been serious all along and he wouldn’t believe what he just heard you say. “Wait a minute, do you honestly think you’re the problem? Have you seen me? All this skin and metal is just going to make this unpleasant for you.” You’d remind him that if you’d have a problem with any of that you would have never gotten together with him in the first place and for the first time in a quite a long time, Nick felt incredibly stupid for not figuring that out himself. Though still not convinced that you’d actually enjoy it, the sex would be slow and careful and it wouldn’t happen all that often.
Piper
Piper is not one for one night stands and random flings. If you two were to have sex, you’d already be in a relationship. That’s really the only requirement for her. Once you two are together and she trusts you, the sex could be as slow and soft or wild and crazy as you’d both see fit. She’d be down for it. Weird kinks? “Um, okay, hadn’t seen that one coming, Blue, but hey don’t knock it before you try it I guess.” New position? “Let’s hope I’m flexible enough for this…”. Different location? Okay, here she might draw the line. Public sex would really depend on the location, the more risk of getting caught the less likely Piper would give the ok sign. After all, sex was still a private thing and she didn’t want anyone walking in on you two.
Preston
Sex with Preston would be pretty vanilla. This boy isn’t into anything weird or extreme, and not much into dom/sub play either. Things would rarely get wild inside the bedroom as he’d see sex more of an act of showing how much he loves and cares for you. (Sorry this one bad, I really don’t like Preston rip.)
X6-88
The concept of relationships is foreign to him and before you openly ask him to have sex with you, he’d never even thought about it. He’d say yes very casually, because he doesn’t understand that sex for couples can be a very special moment. Even if you tell him that it is something couples do when they love each other, he wouldn’t put much mind to it. You love him, he loves you, great, let’s have sex then. Though he’d definitely understand way better why people like having sex so much after actually doing it, he might never grasp the emotional bond that can form when two people who love each other have sex.
Bonus! Maxson
As elder, Maxson is used to showing dominance, ordering people around and demanding respect. At first, he’d take these things with him into the bedroom, because sex puts you in an vulnerable position and he was not vulnerable. No matter how much he trusted you, there was this irrational little voice in the back of his head that stopped him from letting down his walls. At least, that was what he was like at first. It would take him some time, maybe even a very long time, maybe it would actually take so long that you’d have to be the one suggesting it instead, but he’d finally be down to trying to take things slow. Keep in mind, this would only happen if he trusts you 100% and knows for certain that you haven’t breathed a word to anyone about how Maxson is in your relationship. He’d end up enjoying taking things slow a lot, but one night really changed everything. This one night was the one when you decided to take control. It was the first time in a very long time that Maxson let someone else do the work, where he could just lie back and enjoy being submissive, and enjoy it he did. But boy had you done something now. Maxson would always come to you after having a particularly stressful day and let you take control, to the point where him being dominant in bed would almost be a rare treat.
Oh boy why did I choose to start off with this? Haha
Also I only added Maxson because almost every blog sees him as a dom and I’m just not sure if I agree. But apart from this reaction, he’ll only be included if someone specifically asks for it.

——————————
It was a little over three weeks later before anything else had happened. But you’d tried very hard to remain reasonable with your daydreaming in the time between. Because Loki owed you nothing after all.
It would have been far easier to write off your experience with him as just brief acts of lust that any two beings could experience. Yet, you’d found yourself thinking just as much about those quiet hours sitting beside him with a book in your hand as you did that very physical night in the cave together. The parts were equal in your mind. You desired to have both again, because all of it was him.
The real surprise was still there though when word finally reached you that he’d again returned to the ocean’s edge. You could not take a moment for granted. And you wouldn’t, even as each time he came you found your excitement only grew. That warmth that rose through you at just the sound of his name only came quicker and lasted longer every time.
Yet today had also been the first where he hadn’t called from that southern beach where you’d met all the times previous. This fourth meeting actually came in the north. From the lands you would have more associated with the legends of his family to begin with.
Even though the bifrost could open wherever he asked it to you supposed, your curiosity still swelled predictably as you stepped out of the icy waters onto these more foreign black sands. It was rocky, and the sky only grey above as you first saw him standing there near the water’s edge.
And you did stare, seeing his normal black and green leather now replaced with golden armor and a flowing emerald cape. He was in full adornment this time, including that horned helmet you’d only seen in artists’ renderings from the books you’d studied before.
It suited him well, though making a stark contrast between the two of you you were sure as you only stood before him barefoot and dripping wet in one of your usual dresses.
“Are you off to battle?” You asked in genuine question, still taking that view in.
He just smirked though, seeming to be staring at you as well. “Don’t you ever get cold running around so uncovered like that?”
“I feel the cold, yes. But it doesn’t harm me.” You answered simply, though still looking at him expectantly as he’d ignored your own question.
He just turned after another moment though, beginning to walk back up the bank. “I’m only here on an errand for Father. Normally this foolishness would be something I’d decline. But with Odin and brother both off battling in Alfheim, it left Father no choice but to send his second option of course.”
You were already walking as well then, following him without even being asked. He made it all sound so uninteresting though. And if he didn’t even want to be here, then why would he have called you as well then?
A path cut between the cliff face that edged the shoreline, and before you could ask anything further, you were surprised to see a large mortal village coming into view further up the path. You stopped immediately, hesitating at the sight.
But he noticed as you did so, only looking back at you tauntingly as he paused as well. “Don’t tell me you’re shy now?”
What was he planning to do? You tried to keep your contact with mortals limited save for whatever your own father asked you to do, as directly interfering in the wrong ways could sometimes lead to serious consequences. You honestly shirked the attention, often not even letting them lay eyes on you unless you were under the guise of something else.
“Are you planning to make yourself known to them?” You asked a bit incredulously.
“Well of course. How else should they know who to thank when we’re done here?” He answered as if it was only the most obvious thing in the world before he just continued ahead without you.
His stride was so confident. Not a trace of feeling out of place at all even as you couldn’t bear it any longer, transforming yourself into an osprey just to fly nervously along up above him before you could be seen.
Yet he didn’t seem surprised, only a slight smugness in his expression as he glanced up at you briefly in your new form.
That was before the mortal soldiers erupted out at the edge of the settlement anyway. Their yelling brought Loki’s attention back to the path, and you circled in the sky, trying to interpret the words.
Their tone was so much gruffer and faster, harder for you to translate in realtime.
But Loki’s elegant, almost indifferent tone of response you understood far better as he only answered back in that same Nordic tongue.
“Unleash those arrows upon me, beasts, and you’ll find them quite wasted. Are you really so inept as to not recognize your own savior now standing before you?”
With that, he extended out his arms in a grandiose gesture of self importance. Yet the movement proved to be more than just empty posing as you then saw all their arrows fall to the ground as writhing snakes.
The illusion was extremely convincing, even these burly men startling in surprise at the sight.
“Sorcery!” One of them called, though rightly looking no more trusting at the revelation.
“What clan do ye hail from? State your purpose here, sorcerer!” Another said.
Even from this distance, you could see the brief look of exasperation as Loki rolled his eyes. “Has my brother really been away from Midgard so long that you now fail to recognize the house of Odin at all? Such disrespect.”
It was only the mention of Odin’s name that brought an all new nervousness to the men’s body language.
And that edge of newfound fear clearly pleased Loki. “Oh, now things are finally coming together! But seeing is believing, isn’t it boys?”
In an instant then, there was not just one of him, but multiple as replicant images of Loki suddenly surrounded the men. His voice echoing as it came from each, “Odin the Allfather has answered your prayers, I, Loki, god of Asgard shall spare your clan and this village from your enemy’s approach.” His cold smirk returned. “But I require your full allegiance in return of course.”
The fear was really evident in their faces then, but in your own mind you doubted the duplicate images were anything tangible. They likely couldn’t harm the men, only the real Loki could. But the trickery was sufficient as in your surprise, you saw the men fall to their knees one after the other.
And the most genuine grin you’d ever seen on Loki’s face spread instantly at that. He actually chuckled, an honest, happy sound as the men’s heads also bowed.
“Forgive us, Loki, god of mischief.” The oldest looking of the men spoke humbly then. “No one here has laid eyes on a god of Asgard in our lifetimes. We only know the legends our ancestors have taught us, of your victories at Odin’s side across the nine realms. Our loyalty does still lay with you, son of Odin.”
“Finally, a wise man speaks.” Loki answered, still pleased before continuing. “You must be the clan chief. Listen to your elders, boys. And remember it was only Loki who came here today. Not Odin, not Thor. Me. That should be noted in your carvings from now on. Those little hammers embellished on your shields gave you no help today. Mjolnir hears not your pleas.”
And still circling above in your bird of prey form, it was only then that you did notice those emblems on their shields as well. It was clear no details escaped Loki.
“Thor forgets you, too occupied in the happenings of the other realms, but I, merciful as I am do not.”
You may have sighed at that, if you’d been physically capable anyway. He was clearly enjoying this now. But out the corner of your vision, something else caught your eyes as you turned sharply back into the wind.
Sails. Large white sails approaching over the ocean’s horizon. You suddenly remembered Loki’s comment then about sparing this place from their enemy’s approach. But now your nervousness only returned full force as you swooped back down towards him.
Did he really plan to interfere in a coming battle here? Maybe he had permission to do so, but you absolutely did not!
You chirped sharply, but realized quickly he could not understand you in this form. Not like the nymphs could. He seemed amused though at your evident agitation as he offered his forearm. You landed awkwardly on his arm, talons closing around the armor there as you spread your wings to maintain your balance.
He leaned his face in slightly though, speaking only to you in your native Greek. “Was it that many boats then? They’re only marauders. I’m sure your father won’t mind if you kill a few. All you’d need say is that these Norse folk had shown you hospitality, and then these other fools attacked. What else were you to do? And regardless, I’ve already promised our protection to them.”
Our? Your eyes stared holes into him at that. You had promised nothing. This was beyond ridiculous. Yet even in your annoyance, you knew deep down that there were still rules of etiquette that had been bred into you. Ones that couldn’t be ignored when it came to dealings with other gods. If he told them he would do something, while expecting your help to make it happen, and then you let him fail...it could only make them lose further faith in all your kind.
Which even Zeus himself would have admitted that lack of respect as a worsening problem with every successive mortal generation. They believed less and less.
“If you let their boats reach the shore, they’ll happily kill every last man and child on this soil. Only the younger women would live, albeit would they really wish to once they’re sold off like livestock?” Loki added, almost chipper even in those dark words.
You gave the side of his helmet a good, harsh peck, making him turn his face away in reflex before you finally took flight again.
God of mischief indeed. What were you really getting yourself into if you only kept showing him that you were here for whatever use he saw fit?
Though you had somewhat told him that hadn’t you? Back on the beach that day. That whatever kind of relationship he desired with you, you would address the needs as you came to them. You’d more meant in the sense of possibly becoming closer than friends of course. More like that night in the cave. But this...what in Gaia’s name was this?
You pumped your wings hard, then flying back over the sea as you neared the boats and quickly counted them. How many would you have to destroy in order to break their morale?
The quicker you could get this done though, the better. Any kind of prolonged battle may only attract more onlookers, increasing the chances of you having to explain these uncomfortable motivations with your father soon.
Tucking your wings in, you dove suddenly, the only difference between you and a real osprey being that as soon you hit the water, you didn’t surface again. You regained the form of a woman once more, sinking beneath the boats even as you raised your arms towards them.
It took real concentration, especially when your emotions were still all over the place. But the previously calm seas did eventually start to churn. As you clenched your fists, the whirlpools began to tighten around first one, then two, then three of the longships
That should be well enough you thought to yourself. Even from below you could hear the wood snapping as the hulls began to give. Once the boats listed past the point of no return, the masts began to snap as well, the large canvas that was the sails crashing down to the water below and billowing out.
The sunlight cut through the fabric, making the strangest shadows as you swam back from under it. You noted that these men were fairly capable swimmers as well as the fallen began to make their own ways back to the surface.
You left their survival to chance, not trying to pull them any further down, but not helping them either as they swam for rescue towards the remaining boats.
The nymphs that had followed you to this shore also kept things hands off, merely watching in a mix of awe and confusion from beneath the water. But you didn’t have time to explain, only nodding your acknowledgement towards them. They would have to wait.
But you weren’t sure what you were really going to tell them either as you only changed back into the osprey then, breaking the surface before you flapped hard enough to leave the water entirely. You simply glided back towards shore once you caught the wind again.
Loki now stood expectantly on the beach, far more men than you had seen earlier gathered behind him. Dumbstruck expressions graced all the mortals faces as that prince of Asgard only offered you his arm once more.
You landed on his forearm again, making sure to fluff your wet feathers hard enough to throw some seawater on him. Just because you’d done what he’d wanted didn’t mean your frustration was at all over. Conversations would definitely be had.
But he only smiled even as that bit of cold water ran back down his neck and beneath his armor, further annoying you before he whispered then. “Quite a performance. But don’t act as if I won’t be rewarding you later. The day is still young.”
Yet you could only ponder the meaning behind such words, as you were then the one who had to endure several more hours of the village’s praises for Loki instead.
When the marauders had indeed retreated, fading back from sight, all the mortals had come out to rejoice. The ones who had witnessed it all firsthand, recounted the events with excitement again and again to all those others who came to listen.
You’d ended up in their mead hall, candles burning in the dim structure as it filled with the smell of cooked meat and the raucous noise of the townspeople. Men, women, and even the children all filled the hall in celebration.
Loki of course sat at the head of the long feast table as the guest of honor, quite comfortable you thought in their most ornate chair as you only perched on one of its armrest beside him. In the candlelight, the shadows danced around the edges of his face and helmet.
Even in this bird form, you thought he caught you staring at him a few times though. But what else did you have to do? You couldn’t speak, and you still didn’t want to reveal your true self to these strangers. You kept hoping he’d have his fill of the attention at some point, where you’d finally be able to leave again.
But that was wishful thinking surely. Though you did put your attention back to the mortals as the clan chief had made his way to the both of you.
He bowed respectfully, “Prince Loki, I wished to inform you that I have spoken to our carpenters and they believe the building you requested could be finished within two months time.”
Your confusion may have even translated through your body language then as your head tilted and your feathers ruffled. The what?
But Loki didn’t add any elaboration to the subject, only seeming pleased. “Good.” He said simply.
And before you could show any further displeasure at being left in the dark, you saw that mortal leader then looking at you specifically with curiosity.
“If it is not too much a question, prince...” He started, yet treading carefully. “I have heard the stories of the Allfather and his ravens Huginn and Muninn. But I did not know you too possessed a bird, and of such ability. What is its name? It’s quite beautiful.”
His words were unexpected, but the greater surprise was the feel of Loki’s fingers then down your neck and back, physically petting you as if you really were just some adored companion.
You startled, chirping as you turned your head to nip his hand in reflex.
Loki only grinned once more though, moving his fingers out of your reach just as quickly. “Oh, she’s quite proud. Which she should be. Father’s birds are only spies. This bird you see here is...” Loki gave you a sly look, as if teasing that he would reveal you in that very moment. But he didn’t, just glancing back to the man instead. “I call her Kærr.”
Who? You stared. So he was just making up names for you now? And you didn’t even recognize the word as you racked your brain to try and remember a meaning for it in the Norse words you’d read.
But you couldn’t. It could mean fool for all you knew. Little fool who just followed Loki, letting themselves be used in all the dumbest ways.
——————————
At last, the festivities had finally begun to wane and Loki had stood. The mortals all praising him once more as he’d made some speech about needing to return to Asgard, but now being a protector of this town as long as they kept their loyalty to him.
You were truthfully tired by now. Not so much physically, but mentally from the run of emotions you’d had to deal with in silence over the last several hours.
It was fully nighttime when he’d finally walked out of view from the village, now deep in some dark forest, probably heading towards wherever he planned to reopen the bifrost.
When you were confident that no mortals had followed though, you at last landed on the forest floor in front of him, changing back into your true form of a woman.
“Start talking. Now.” You breathed. The anger you’d wanted to express earlier though just sounded like exasperation. But you had so many questions.
He paused, the bits of moonlight that broke through the tree canopy, now glinting white off his armor as he grinned.
“You do have patience, goddess. But I didn’t ask you to trap yourself in the form of a bird all day, let’s remember that firstly.” And he only walked closer to you at that, seemingly all too confident that you wouldn’t attack him just in spite now. “Secondly, I did this for the both of us.”
“For us?” You asked incredulously.
“Well you were too shy to take proper credit of course, which again, not my fault. But I told them this town was under our protection-”
“And you’ll just go back to Asgard and leave me to deal with it! If a god goes back on their word, you know how that makes us all look. I didn’t ask to adopt a village today!”
Yet he was unbothered even as your voice rose. “You’ll do wonderfully. Don’t pretend you don’t have a weakness for these creatures. I’ve seen how you pity them. Consider them your new pets, my gift to you.”
But you scoffed, still so disbelieving. “You’re mad. And really, did Odin even send you here? Or was that more fantasy as well?”
Yet the more flustered you got, the more amused he started to look. “Well, the village leader’s great, great, great something or other ancestor actually was a friend of my Father’s. They fought side by side once. But no, Father doesn’t know I’m here. He’s in Alfheim, as I said.”
But Loki knew it’d give you more inclination to go along with things surely if Odin’s name was attached. Didn’t he? “And the marauders?” You asked as your questions only continued.
He just smirked. “That probably would have happened on its own eventually. There’s a lot of bad blood there apparently. But I’m not as patient as you. That did need a little goading.”
You sighed. “Which you provided I’m sure. Did you pass word to them that this village was preparing to attack them?”
“Oh, something like that.”
“Okay, but why? They say you like chaos, but I haven’t seen you do anything yet that wasn’t for a reason.”
“I already told you. This is for us.” He only reiterated.
“And I still don’t believe it. What building was that man talking about making? A shrine to you? A temple?”
“A house.” He corrected.
“A...what?” You stared.
“Well, not what I’d consider a real one. It had to be quite small unfortunately, or else it’d take them a year or more to build. But nearby, up on this hill actually is where it will be. I told them we’d need a place to stay when in the mortal realm. And if they kept it well maintained, our protection would continue.”
You were finally silent for a few moments then, thoughts spinning furiously. Madness was right. Did he really...did he really plan all this for just this reason? “So, is that why you did all this?” You asked at last.
“I’d prefer not to just meet in wet, muddy caves for the foreseeable future if it’s all the same to you.” He answered with a little air of haughtiness returning.
But you weren’t ready to trust yet. Not where it really counted. “And should I be flattered? Or is there a ‘house’ like this in every realm for you?”
For those words though, even in the moonlight you could see a greedier look come into his eyes as he tilted his head, examining you once more. “Hmm. That’s new. But as fetching as jealousy is on you...you’re wrong. My only other bed would be in Asgard. And I don’t waste my time trying to fill it.”
Jealous? Is that what he thought? You opened your mouth as if to retort, but realized anything you could think to say in defense would only make him sound more correct.
“This is ridiculous.” Was all you finally said. Not knowing how to really express anything further.
“And what else would you really have done so important today if I hadn’t come?” He smirked, reaching a hand out.
He held your chin lightly then, making you realize how close he’d really moved to you in the time you’d been talking.
“You already forgot what I promised didn’t you?” He asked more quietly then.
Your look in return said that you clearly had before he just continued.
“Your reward.” He spoke, before leaning in to kiss you.
You tensed, but didn’t pull away. Such arrogance you still managed to think though, him acting as if his touch alone would erase every negative feeling and upset of the day.
But life was now more complicated than you’d ever known before. Even if this didn’t make everything alright and forgiven...you didn’t want him to stop either as you eventually returned the kiss, leaning further into him. After his hand let go of your face, you felt his arms slide around your waist next, pulling you to him tightly.
It wasn’t as fully desperate, as hungry as that night in the cave. But there was still a clear need there, tasting him all over again as he kissed you again and again.
“I have to return to Asgard.” He breathed eventually though, yet looking at you with body language that didn’t at all match his words as he hadn’t loosened his grip at all. “But speak up, goddess. Would it be more insult just to leave, or to only be quick this time in taking something we both want?”
“Are you, are you asking me...” You were trying to catch up with his thought process. It was late in the night, and he’d already been gone from his kingdom all day. He may be lying still, but it was very possible he had already overstayed whatever time he’d intended to be here. Especially if Odin and Thor really were in another realm right now. Loki’s absence would only be that more evident to his people. So he was about to leave, but he wanted to know if you wanted him to...jump to the finish before he left you?
“Why is it so hard for you to say?” He pushed, moving his hips against you slightly to further his intention.
“I will not be your whore, Loki. That much must be understood.” You replied. Not angrily, but still serious enough to show your sincerity in that statement as you found your voice again.
Yet he just laughed, a genuine one at that. “Just when I think you can’t surprise me any further...you go and say something so foolish.”
But he’d already grabbed your wrist before you could slap him, then continuing. “Calm your temper. I only laugh because you keep assuming so much. If there’s a whore here tonight, it would only be me of course.”
The resulting confusion in your eyes only seemed to encourage him too as he smiled again. “I know it’s not just fucking you want. And there will be more time later to explore that. But gods, woman, I left an empty throne sitting there in Asgard today just for a chance at this. How else could that not make me a whore tonight?”
You really didn’t know at this point, if all his words were only meant to manipulate you further, or if he was actually being truthful right now.
“You make my head hurt.” You grumbled at last, just running your hand down the armor on his chest until it reached his waist.
“You make my...well, I think you can assume what part of me hurts right now.” He just smirked at your resulting expression, his hands starting to bunch up your dress a little. “What? Too crude? I could change into a woman just as easily you know, if you rather something a little different.”
“I thought you said you wanted to make this quick.” You retorted. As in your mind, working up a woman to full arousal would be far more time consuming if your own body was any indication. While men were up and ready at a moment’s notice weren’t they?
“You imply that I can’t have you trembling just as fast then?” He said, seeming to accept the challenge when you didn’t stop him from further raising your dress.
* SMUT STARTS HERE
*
*
You’d only expected to feel one of his hands back between your legs next. So when he abruptly dropped to his knees in front of you instead, you were truly shocked.
You felt his hands on your bare waist, keeping your dress bunched up and out of the way as he glanced back up at you briefly, a wicked look in those blue eyes. How someone could look so predatory, even while on their own knees, you did not know.
All you could do was gasp as you felt his mouth meet your opening roughly, sucking you before his tongue quickly flicked out, so much like a snake against the sensitive flesh.
It was so surreal really, the cool metal of the horned helmet also brushing and scraping against your skin as its master moved obscenely in his attempts to unravel you.
Reflexively, your hips also tried to squirm away from his pressing mouth, so sensitive to the roughness as he went back to sucking what was already becoming swollen. But he’d allow none of it. He only gripped you harder, fingers digging into your soft bottom to keep you against him.
He was going to win. How this had even become a contest, you were not sure. But pride or not, your legs were already feeling like jelly. He would win.
“Loki,” You pleaded, nothing to really brace yourself against as your own knees started to bend.
But he didn’t stop, no. He only pressed even faster at your desperation, tongue flicking and probing over and over, mouth sucking for what felt like ages. But you knew it really couldn’t have been that long at all. Embarrassingly short even before you shuddered harshly, the orgasm cutting through you.
Even in those little aftershocks though, you could feel his teeth as he smiled against you. But he didn’t let go of you, helping you stay upright even as he stood back up himself. “Was that fast enough for you?” He taunted lowly, lips still clearly wet in the moonlight from you before he moved you almost gently backward.
Your back found a large tree trunk behind you, the bark gladly smooth as it helped further support you while he pushed your dress back upward again.
Your eyes met again as you felt him abruptly slide into you at that. He was still fully dressed, but at some point as he’d stood, he’d opened just his pants, that hard flesh now fully sheathing back inside of you before he began to thrust.
It was steady this time, slower, but still forceful as he watched your expression every time he reached that deepest point.
“Do you think you could get used to this?” He asked, breath still a bit labored, likely just from his own arousal.
You knew your own heartbeat was still pounding in your ears, so you could only imagine that his was now doing much the same as you kissed him again.
The taste was strange, still the remnants from you of course, but you didn’t mind it.
“I could.” You did answer though when you pulled back slightly again.
But you didn’t know how this would really work. Would you just keep meeting here now whenever he wanted to see you? The mortals would make some sort of cabin? Room? What have you, for you to stay in? Is this really what he wanted? Wouldn’t he only grow bored of the novelty eventually?
Either that, or one of your families may end up intervening. This couldn’t be kept just to the two of you indefinitely. Heimdall already knew of you of course.
There were still so many questions.
Yet he only seemed focused on the here and now as he finally shuddered against you as well and you felt that tell tale wetness of his cum overflowing slightly down your thigh.
His hands ran up under your dress still, not seeming to want to let go even as he continued to watch you as his own orgasm dissipated.
“...It may be a while before I can return. The mess in Alfheim I don’t see as being resolved soon.” He spoke after a few more moments, breaking the silence.
And he did slide back out of you then, covering himself back within his pants once more after his hands finally let go of you to let your dress also fall back down around your legs.

*
*SMUT OVER
He continued though, not leaving your side just yet. “Father’s already been gone over a week now, brother too. Technically putting the kingdom in my care for now. I used the excuse of those marauders attacking this village with old connections to Father as a reason to come check on Midgard today. I don’t quite think Mother believed my motives either. The two of you would likely get along well in your odd combination of suspicion yet fondness for me you know.”
Fondness he said. That was some kind of word for it. But you weren’t sure it was the right one. “If you’ve never had much interest in my world before, then yes, I’m sure anyone would be doubtful.” Of course he’d never spoken of his mother to you. Maybe eventually you could learn more. But not tonight as you realized time was finally up.
As he pulled away, his hand only brushed yours gently, that green cape moving behind him as he walked away. “Goodnight, goddess.”
There was a clearing in the distance, evidently carved earlier from the bifrost as he stepped into the opening and called up to Heimdall.
It was only at that moment though that you remembered one more thing. You yelled out to him suddenly, so he would still hear you at this distance. “Wait, what does Kærr mean!?”
But even from this far you could still see his smug smile spreading before the light of the bifrost overtook him and he was gone.
“Dammit.” You said to no one. This would cause you a whole new trip to the library on Olympus you were sure. All for one simple word.
——————————
It wasn’t until days later that you did make it back to Olympus though. You’d had to apologize to a couple of the nymphs, asking them to keep an eye on that town for you. Your apparent new charity project that Loki had left you with.
Now in the library you’d been pouring over the few more detailed Norse language texts you could find. It’d been much easier the last time you’d been here, when you’d just been trying to learn the gist of Asgard’s history and the very basics of their language. Trying to find the definition of one specific word however proved far more tedious.
But you did finally come across it.
Kærr: Dear, of great value or excellence, precious, beloved-
And you couldn’t read any further, a strange emotion flaring as you’d exclaimed, “Oh, bullshit!” instantly closing the book back shut, then sitting there a moment as this new information settled over you.
He had to be kidding. Just a flippant joke to him surely. And yet, why did it bother you so much? You really had expected the name to have some sort of negative definition, some kind of taunt or insult that he’d be able to laugh about later whenever it’d finally dawned on you.
But this was far worse. It was cruel if he didn’t mean it. Yet...somehow maybe even crueler if he did. Because what were you supposed to do with this knowledge? What could you do?
“Hello, stranger.” A soft voice called as you heard footsteps approaching though.
You looked up in time to see a bit too beautiful god pull out a chair across from you, just sitting at your library table as well then with a friendly smile.
“Hi, Eros,” you said reflexively, still sounding a bit not yourself. He was just your cousin after all, well cousin once removed anyway.
But when he didn’t say anything immediately back, just giving you a sort of sympathetic look instead, the real threat of his presence hit you at once like a lead weight as your eyes widened a little.
“No...no, no, no.” You said quickly, lowering your voice as you leaned in towards the god, not knowing what other ears may be listening. “Eros, I literally just met him. Four times total!” You counted out four fingers from your hand, waving them in front of him for emphasis.
He tilted his head. Yet only answering gently, “Cousin, I sensed you as soon as you arrived here. Are you okay?”
You sighed, but knew you could trust him to keep this revelation to himself. It was part of his job frankly. “It wouldn’t matter would it? I mean, I know you haven’t met him. But he’s not going to feel the same. I’d think at most it would be some kind of possessive thing. He is...well, he’s very self important. Honesty is also not a preference of his.”
But to this Eros just smiled. “No one is perfect, especially among our kind. I can tell you with full certainty though that the biggest lie ever told is when someone claims to not desire love. I’ve seen the hearts of the cruelest dictators all the way to the homeless peasant in the street. They all beg me for it deep down. Even if they can’t always admit it to themselves.”
You rested your elbows on the table, just looking down again. “But that doesn’t mean he’d want it from me necessarily.”
“Love is never a given. It wouldn’t be so valuable otherwise. But you can’t lose hope too soon just because you’re new at something. You need to see it through. That’s the only way to ever find out.”
You looked back up at him wryly, knowing it would be foolish not to accept a little relationship advice from the god of love himself. But as he’d said there was no guarantee this would end up working either. “So if everything goes horribly wrong, I can just blame you, right?”
He shrugged, a bit of a wise ass himself to be true. “Might as well. Everyone else does.”

"You cannot truly be considering this!" Bjorn thundered in the small, enclosed room.
Ubbe observed his elder brother- a man he had aspired to be like his whole childhood, a man he still looked up too, regardless of his faults. "Of course I am."
Bjorn slammed his hand on the wooden table, making it shake, as his voice shook like thunder in the room. "You are throwing your future away!"
"I am protecting our future!" Ubbe snapped, finally rising to his feet, irritation leaking into his tone. He met Bjorn's incensed blue eyes with his own resolute gaze. "We need allies, alliances, everything to make father's dream come true. If this is the price I must pay to fulfill Ragnar's dream, then I will gladly do it. It is not about me. It's for our people."
After a long, tense moment, Lagertha pushed off the wall she and Torvi were leaning against. Gliding closer, she moved to stand in front of Ubbe, tears swimming in her eyes. Gently, she cupped his cheeks. "Your father would be so proud of you, Ubbe. I pray the gods bless you with happiness in this."
"Thank you, Lagertha." Relief swelled in Ubbe's chest. If he had Lagertha's support, he knew Bjorn would come around.
Since they fled Kattegat and came to England, he had watched the shieldmaiden age before his eyes. He could not help but wonder if her soul yearned for Valhalla and to be reunited with Ragnar. Not that he could blame her. To hear her speak of Ragnar and his approval of Ubbe's actions, it only further solidified his choice.
Torvi spoke up, surprising him.  "I think Ubbe should do it." When Bjorn opened his mouth to interject, she snapped her gaze over to her husband. "This is his decision, Ubbe. He has asked for our advice but it is up to him. We need security and this, though we don't trust them, this can provide that security."
Bjorn huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "Fine! Do what you want!"
"Thank you." Ubbe softly said, looking at all the family he had left in this world. "I'll go inform King Alfred now."
With a firm stride, he left the quarters they had been given in Wessex. After some time trying to locate the young king, a passing servant was able to tell him Alfred's location. Thankfully the king was in his private study, reviewing petitions from the worker's guild. The guards at the door allowed Ubbe entrance only after the king called out to allow him entrance. With a look of unrestrained animosity, almost begging him to give them a reason to throw him out, the guards opened the door for him to pass. Ubbe nodded his thanks, but never removed his hand from the sword at his side until the door closed behind him.
Straightening in his chair, Alfred looked up from the papers spread out over his desk. "Good afternoon, Ubbe. I suspect you have sought me out because you have an answer for my proposition."
"I do, your highness." Ubbe paused, knowing how his life was going to irrevocably change once he answered. "And I will accept. I will take a Saxon wife to further the alliance between us."
"I am greatly pleased by your decision." The dark-haired man pushed away from his desk. He moved to a nearby table to pour them both a cup of wine, something these Saxons seemed to favor, as he continued speaking. "Alliances must be built on trust and understanding. A political marriage certainly helps solidify that trust."
Ubbe received the cup, missing the taste of ale from his homeland. After taking a small sip, he stared at Alfred. "So what do we do now? Do I meet some potentials or is there a matchmaker?"
"No, I already have someone picked out for you. My cousin." Alfred answered without hesitation before pausing in contemplation. "What your father and my grandfather would think of this arrangement….our families tied by blood."
 "Yeah…. What is her name?"
"My cousin? Lady Y/N. Fear not, she comes from a well-respected family and with a substantial dowry. She has spent most of her life at a nunnery, so there is no fear of her virtue being tainted."
"Great." Ubbe sighed out. Though he knew Alfred meant all that to be reassuring….it felt anything but.
 *****
It was not until almost a month later, Ubbe met his intended bride; with the wedding set for three days after her arrival. Apparently King Alfred and some of the Saxon noblemen were keen on the arranged marriage happening as soon as possible.
Ubbe stood off to the side in the throne room. With his hair freshly braided and pulled back and wearing one of his nicer tunics, he hoped he appeared princely. Even if by Saxon standards, he knew he fell woefully short. Lagertha had given him a nod of approval as they waited in the throne room. Though outwardly he kept his face passive and calm, his insides twisted into knots and his hands were clammy.
"Are you still certain about this, brother?" Bjorn clapped Ubbe on the shoulder as he whispered, eyeing the Saxons standing around.
The flaxen-haired Viking glanced over at King Alfred, who sat on his throne, talking in hushed tones to one of his advisors while his mother looked on with a sour expression.
Ubbe answered solemnly. "Aye, we need this alliance."
With a grunt, Bjorn removed his hand but stayed at his brother's side. Something Ubbe appreciated. Although Bjorn had no issue airing his thoughts on this foolish alliance and how Ubbe was making a mistake in regards to choosing a wife again, he kept his complaints behind closed doors. In front of the Saxons, they presented an united front.
The large doors to the throne room opened with a groan. All eyes turned to witness as a sole figure cautiously yet gracefully walked forward, head held high and hands clasped in front of her.
"Cousin!" King Alfred exclaimed, rising from his throne, arms spread wide. Immediately, he descended the few stairs with a fond smile on his face. "Your presence has been missed here at court."
The woman dipped into an elegant curtsey, her dress gliding around her like water. "You are far too kind, my king."
As King Alfred embraced his cousin in a warm hug, Ubbe could only stare in shock. Standing there in a deep red gown, the woman looked like a goddess. Ubbe had prepared himself mentally for his intended bride to be marginally pretty like most of these Saxon women, but someone he easily overlooked. Not her though. Without even saying a word to him, he felt beguiled by her. It was more than just her physical beauty, it was in the way she carried herself, with grace and a nobility. It reminded him distantly of his mother. A woman who knew her place and dignity. This woman, his intended bride, was truly stunning. He could not help but wonder if the true reason for her prolonged residence at a nunnery was not because of piety but to preserve and protect her. Something he was suddenly immensely grateful for.
"This is your betrothed." Alfred walked her over to where the Vikings stood, at the bottom of the steps leading to his throne. With a pleased smile on his face, he introduced the two. "Ubbe, son of Ragnar Lothbrok, this is my cousin, Lady Y/N."
She curtsied to him, her movements so graceful like they were part of a dance. When she spoke, he was further enchanted, for even her voice was beautiful. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lord Ubbe."
"It's just Ubbe. Since we are to be married, we can skip the formalities."
A coy smile played on her lips. "As you wish….Ubbe."
"Excellent." King Alfred beamed. "Perhaps a walk in the gardens to better acquaint yourselves would be desirable?"
Before Ubbe could whole-heartedly agree, wishing to learn more about his intended bride, a sickly-sweet voice interrupted.
"Y/N has only just arrived. We have wedding plans to finalize and she must try on her dress." Princess Judith interrupted, wrapping an arm through her niece's while pointedly ignoring the Vikings. "Maybe another time, but I am sure y/n will be quite busy with preparations. Come, my dear."
With that, she swept her niece out of the throne room as if the Vikings had the plague and she refused to breathe the same air as them. But before y/n disappeared, she peeked over her shoulder and met Ubbe's gaze with a tender smile teasing her lips, then disappeared from view.
"There is much to finalize and my mother wants to ensure the wedding will go smoothly. You and y/n will have time after the wedding to become acquainted." Alfred said, studying the direction his mother and cousin vanished. With a sigh, he pulled his gaze back to Ubbe. "Now that introductions are made, I have matters with the clergy to attend to."
Ubbe barely paid attention when Alfred walked away, returning to his throne and listening to some priests whine about something petty.
A bump of a shoulder against his own drew Ubbe's attention back from thinking about y/n.
Bjorn leaned over to whisper conspiracingly in his ear. "Well, at least you won't have a problem bedding her."
 *****
The wedding ceremony was outlandish and dragged on for entirely too long. Between the many prayers of the priests and the rigid formality of everything, Ubbe was ready to draw his sword and spill some Christian blood, just to break up the monotony. Even Lagertha appeared ready to fall asleep from where she stood.
The only aspect that kept his attention was his bride. Watching her walk down the aisle, he almost swallowed his tongue, leaving him gaping at her in a slack-jawed awe as she slowly approached. In her flowing wedding dress, a crown of flowers in her hair and eyes alight, she appeared ethereal. Standing in his nicest tunic and pants, he knew he paled in comparison to her, but he did not mind.
When the priests tried to forcefully convince Ubbe to dress in Saxon clothing for the wedding, he not-so-subtly threatened to decapitate them if they mentioned it once more. He was a Viking and would dress as such. Besides this was to be a physical representation of an alliance between Saxon and Viking, it would make no sense for him to dress as a Saxon.
Thankfully Alfred agreed with his thoughts, so the clergy kept any further comments to themselves.
Once the wedding concluded with Ubbe and y/n proclaimed man and wife, the couple was escorted to the celebration. The following feast was beyond lavish, with drink and food in overflowing abundance. To his dismay, Ubbe found himself unable to converse with his new bride. Either Alfred was introducing him to someone new, some nobleman pestered him with questions or worst of all, Judith purposefully continued to make excuses that pulled y/n away. When their eyes met, he could see the apology in them, which lightened the stone in his heart.
As the feast progressed, Ubbe found as more time passed, the more his gaze drifted to his bride. The gods had truly blessed him with this marriage. Watching her, he was captivated. Although, he found his hand frequently shifting to reach for the hilt of his sword no longer strapped to his side. All the appreciative or lustful looks she received from other men did not go unnoticed, and if one of them tried to lay a hand on his new wife, he would not be held accountable for his actions. His fists could be just as deadly as any weapon.
Finally, the time was called for the bedding ceremony.
Alfred and some of the clergy explained to Ubbe what happened during a bedding ceremony when he was learning about the wedding's customs and the vows he would have to recite. To say the Ragnarsson was shocked was an understatement. It sounded barbaric…. and him and his people were called the heathens. But he understood the need to maintain protocol for building the alliance and the trust of the Saxons.
So that was how he found himself walking down a corridor with Bjorn at his side, while the feast and celebrations continued on without him.
 "Are you sure about this?"
Ubbe rolled his eyes at his elder brother, his stride never faltering. "You did not have to agree to it."
Bjorn scoffed, keeping pace. "And miss out on all the fun?"
The two brothers laughed, the sound loosening some of the tension in the bridegroom's body. When Alfred told Ubbe he needed a witness to represent his people at the bedding ceremony, Bjorn was the only option. When Ubbe initially told his brother about the tradition and asked for Bjorn's presence, the hulking Viking had doubled-over in laughter, followed by making several crude comments about the need to instruct Ubbe on how to properly bed a woman. The discussion ended in a brotherly tussel but Bjorn agreed.
Especially when Ubbe explained his plan.
The bedroom was in the wing of the royal families' rooms. Since y/n was related by blood, she was given a room there whenever she came to visit and naturally, this meant it was where the marriage would be consummated. Several candles were lit but the bedroom was kept dim to give an illusion of privacy. A quick glance at the bed made Ubbe raise an eyebrow at the generous size and the curtains draped around it. A fire burned in the fireplace providing warmth in the bedroom, a sharp contrast to the stern, cold faces of the clergy who waited.
The bishop who married them stood off to the side with two other clergy, all in their robes and barely suppressed looks of disgust on the priests' faces. Two female attendees fussed over y/n, clearly everyone waiting for Ubbe and Bjorn. Once again, Ubbe had to force himself to keep his eyes from staying glued to his new wife. She stood there in a thick robe, with her hair falling about her shoulders loosely, free from the bridal veil. Her gaze jumped from Ubbe to the clergy and back as she nibbled on her bottom lip, clearly nervous about what was to occur next. Cheekily, he sent her a quick wink, hoping that would help settle her nerves. If the blush that grew on her cheeks said anything, at least she was not repulsed by him.
The bishop stepped forward. "Are you prepared to consummate your marriage to Lady Y/N before God and man?"
"I am." Ubbe defiantly met the man's eyes.
"Then by the power given to me by the Holy Church, let the two become one in the sight of God and these witnesses and the marriage shall be complete." With that, the man drew their strange cross sign in the air and stepped back to rejoin his fellow clergy.
The two attendees helped y/n out of her heavy robe, revealing a thin, white nightgown that seemed to only enhance her beauty and innocence. Desire thrummed in his blood at the sight of her, but Ubbe ignored the sensation for the moment. The heavy robe was laid on a nearby chair and the two women left the room with a quick curtsy, leaving only the men and y/n.
After a shared look with Bjorn, Ubbe walked over to his new bride, keeping his movements slow so as to not startle her. Her hands were clasped before her, but even as he approached, he could see the faint tremble in them. Her gaze never strayed from the floor. The confidence seen previously in her seemed to have melted away into anxiety, making him think of a skittish colt. He could not help but wonder what changed, if it was due to him or what was supposed to occur between them.
Standing before her, he gently reached out to take her soft hands in his own larger, calloused ones, pleased when she did not flinch at his touch. Although her gaze remained downward.
"Are you alright?" He whispered, aware of the four pairs of eyes watching their every move.
 "Of….of course, my lord husband."
"Remember, I told you to call me by my name."
That caused her head to snap up and meet his gaze. Now he could see the tears welling up in her eyes and her swollen bottom lip from constantly worrying it.
"It'll be alright." He tugged her bottom lip from between her teeth. The way her breath hitched at the intimate touch made his heart pound. He gave her hands in his, a quick squeeze. "Trust me, yeah?"
After a moment, she gave a faint nod, still eyeing him warily but appearing less like she wanted to flee, mutely squeezing his hands back.
A voice broke the stillness in the room, immediately causing her to tense again.
"The two of you must proceed to the bed to finalize the union. We do not have all night to wait for confirmation of her virginity and consummation." One of the priests drawled with an apparent undertone of disdain.
"Then it is a good thing you don't have to wait any longer." Ubbe retorted, narrowing his eyes at the priest. The man huffed but a quiet rebuke from the bishop had the priest pressing his lips together. With one final, assessing scan, the flaxen-haired Viking shifted, pulling his new bride into his side and wrapping an arm around her waist. He felt her tense against him but ignored it to stare at the three clergy with a mocking smirk. "Bjorn."
At the sound of his name, his brother moved from leaning against the doorframe. A scowl on his face, and with the shadows cast over him, made him appear more looming and menacing. "Everybody out."
The three clergy looked back and forth between the two Viking brothers, clearly confused and intimidated.
 "You can't….we must witness…."
"I SAID EVERYBODY OUT!" Bjorn roared, pulling the axe from his side and waving it in the air. "OR DO I NEED TO SPLIT YOUR SKULL TO HELP MY WORDS REACH YOUR TINY BRAINS?!"
The three scrambled, eyes wide in terror, tripping over their long robes in a pathetic attempt to reach the door faster. The bishop turned around, hands grasping the golden cross hanging from his neck. "King….King Alfred will hear of this." He stuttered out in feigned confidence.
A deafening war cry from Bjorn practically shook the room in answer. That was enough to silence the bishop and have him flee, following his companions.
At Bjorn's roar, y/n began shaking like a leaf, her hands tightly holding onto Ubbe's arm wrapped around her. He further pulled her against him, providing shelter from his brother's fury. Even as the room fell back into silence, he could still feel her trembling in his arms. He prayed to the gods that this did not darken her view of him and cause her to fear him.
Once the room cleared and the pounding footfalls of the clergy could no longer be heard, Bjorn turned around with a grin, scratching the back of his neck with his axe. "You know Alfred will be upset when he finds out."
Ubbe smirked. "We can't let him have everything he wants, yeah?"
That made Bjorn chuckle. "I'll go guard the door." He pointed his axe at Ubbe, still grinning. "You owe me for this."
"Scaring priests shitless isn't enough for you?"
Bjorn scoffed. "I can do that whenever I like."
"We'll name our firstborn after you."
Bjorn waved him off, opening the wooden door and stepping out. When the door closed, the echoing sound seemed to fill the empty space in the room.
Ubbe peeked down at the woman in his arms. "Are you alright?"
 "Your brother….is….frightening."
"Aye, don't tell him that though. It would only inflate his ego more."
Once he was certain she was steady on her feet and would not faint, he pressed a chaste kiss to the side of her head before striding away to the other side of the bedroom. Quickly he pulled off his tunic and boots, tossing them onto a nearby chair and then flopped onto the massive bed in only his pants. If nothing else could be said for tonight, he knew he would sleep well. The bed was comfortable, even rivaling his own bed back in Kattegat. With a pleased groan, he tucked an arm under his head and settled under the covers. A wave of exhaustion crashed over him, his eyelids sliding closed.  Even though he felt like he spent most of the day standing around and kneeling for the wedding, it was still tedious and draining. Thank the gods it was over.
 "Um, my lord…."
"Ubbe." He interrupted, lips twitching in amusement. "Or husband. Whichever you prefer."
"Ah, Ubbe….are we not….?" Her hesitant voice trailed off, but the unspoken question lingered in the air.
He snorted. "I have no plans to force myself upon you just to appease your priests and bishop."
"But we must consummate the marriage."
"I will only have sex with you if you desire me as your husband and not just to fulfill an obligation."
The following, prolonged silence caused him to open his eyes and look over at his new wife. It was apparent she had not moved from where he left her. He expected to see fear on her lovely face or revulsion at the idea of her ever willingly wanting him to touch her. Instead, she seemed to be studying him with a mixture of curiosity and respect. That confident woman he had previously met, making a reappearance.
After holding her gaze for a moment, he patted the bed next to him. "Come lay down. I doubt standing there all night will be pleasant."
With a soft smile, she stepped over and crawled under the covers, but maintained an arm’s length distance between them. They both laid on their backs, together yet alone. The only sounds were of the crackling fire and their breathing.
Before he realized it, Ubbe found himself speaking, filling the silence with his babbling but strangely felt he needed to share these thoughts with the woman beside him, the woman whose life was now tied to him, whether she wanted it to be or not.
"I doubt this is the marriage you were dreaming of as a little girl. Probably expected some prince or lord….not a Viking. Your people only see us as heathens, as barbaric devils, at least that's what one of the noblemen said. That we cannot stop the evil and destruction we cause because we are possessed." He snorted, rubbing a hand down his face. After a deep breath, he turned his head to look at her, amazed to find her already watching him. His tone softened as he continued. "I'm sorry you were forced into this marriage. I know it might not mean much to you but I vow I won't ever physically harm you or force myself upon you. After all the wedding ceremonies, you can return to the nunnery if that is what you want."
Her eyes widened momentarily, then drifted away as she worried her lip once again. As he waited for her to speak, his gaze traveled over her face, taking in the small details that until now he had not been able to observe. It would be a blatant lie to say he did not desire to lie with her, to touch and taste her. The current state of his manhood was evidence enough of how simply gazing at her beauty affected him. He made a vow to her. If nothing else, he hoped they could be friendly to one another.
To his shock, she rolled onto her side, facing him completely, hands tucked under her cheek. Without hesitation, he mirrored her action, but kept his head cradled on his arm.
"I have not traveled much," she quietly said, almost shyly, "but there is one thing I've learned through my studies and the observation of others. People aren't born good or bad. Maybe they're born with tendencies either way, but it's the way you live your life that matters." She paused as if choosing her next words carefully. "I do not think you are a barbaric devil or….or possessed. I think…."
 "What?"
"I think you are very brave and strong. Not many would seek an alliance with those that fervently claim them as an enemy….nor be kind to a simple noblewoman."
He smirked, finding himself charmed by her honesty. Carefully, he reached over and brushed a thumb over her cheek. "You are no simple noblewoman, my lady."
"If you are just Ubbe, then I request you call me, y/n."
An unexpected, loud banging on the door startled them both. Y/n gasped and rushed to sit up against the headboard, eyes wide with fright. Ubbe immediately pushed himself up, making sure to put himself between his wife and the door, unsheathing a dagger he had subtly slipped under his pillow.
"Are you two done yet? Some ugly priest out here wants to know!" Bjorn shouted through the door.
Ubbe groaned, putting the dagger away, before calling back. "No! This woman is insatiable! Tell the priest to come back in the morning! Hopefully I can still walk!"
A harsh bark of laughter preceded loud arguing, which could be heard through the door. Raised voices crept underneath the door frame, the loudest being that of Bjorn. Ubbe stayed perched on the bed, to assist his brother if the need called for it. No matter what Alfred or those whiny clergy ordered, no one would be witnessing any consummation of his. Ever. Eventually, the voices dwindled like a dying flame until only silence could be heard from outside. Ubbe figured Bjorn must have won the argument, or used enough threats of bodily harm, since no one entered the bedroom.
The dagger returned to its sheath under his pillow. A habit he had since childhood. A glance to his side showed his wife still shifted as far away from the door as possible, hands clutching the sheets in a tight grip. He reached a hand out to her. "It's alright. Bjorn won't let anyone in."
She took his hand, still eyeing the door warily. "What did you say to him?"
"Ah, nothing important. Just to keep the priests away."
 "Ok."
"We should go to sleep. Today has been long." He stated after he coaxed her back under the covers and no longer sent glances towards the door. Only after she was settled did he relax. Laying on his back, an arm behind his head, his eyes closed almost instantly. He could hear her shuffling occasionally but he paid it no mind. Sleep slinked into his mind, hovering on the edges.
"Ubbe…." A barely-heard whisper pulled him from the brink of sleep.
 "Yes?"
"What if….what if I want to."
 "Mmmm?"
 "Um, fulfill our marital duties."
Well, that got his attention. He turned his head to the side, noting how her gaze traced over his bare chest slowly then lifted to meet his gaze. "Are you asking me to have sex with you?"
"Yes." She bit her bottom lip, even as her eyes never strayed from him.
 "Are you sure?"
 She nodded.
"Hmmm….well, I may be convinced but….you have to kiss me first."
Cautiously yet deliberately, she scooted closer until they lay side by side. In a graceful movement, she leaned over and pressed her lips to his in an innocent, chaste kiss. Her lips were softer than even the pillow beneath him and by the gods, she was going to be his undoing. After a moment, she leaned back, gazing down at him with a nervous yet endearing smile. Before he could say anything, to encourage or instruct, her lips descended on his once again, but this time hungrily. His initial surprise transitioned to a carnal satisfaction when a soft moan slipped out of her after he tugged on her bottom lip. Their mouths connected with a needy kiss, sending a jolt of electricity through him. All thoughts of sleep forgotten.
Suddenly, he flipped them over, pinning her underneath him, taking charge of their love-making. She giggled at the abrupt action but that was quickly silenced by his mouth crashing against hers and thrusting his tongue into her mouth.
As she kissed him back passionately, he wondered if maybe this marriage was not such a bad idea. If the way her lips eagerly sought his, her hands gripped onto biceps as if to keep her steady, her back arched as he trailed open-mouth kisses down her neck….maybe the marriage could be more than just political.
Soon enough, all thoughts vanished from his mind that were not related in regards to exploring the exquisite body of his Saxon wife and listening to her moan his name repeatedly.

Looking inside the room filled with parchments and writing tools you could clearly distinguish your friend’s figure looking at one of the stories. The past few days had been difficult on the entire family and you could see the toll it had on Edward, especially since he had tried to stay strong for his mother and for what would be his kingdom.
Even when you walked inside the room he seemed to be too concentrated on the page to listen to your entrance. He was about to turn the page when your hand stopped him, forcing him to finally look at you. His face was paler than usual and the dark circles under his eyes were visible, even if his expression showed nothing but strength and a little bit of surprise at the gesture.
“How did you manage to enter? I ordered Steapa-” He turned in the direction of the door to probably reprimand the guard, but you interrupted him. “Steapa thought some company would do you good and he allowed me in.”
He took a deep breath trying to calm himself and looked at your still touching hands. It wasn’t a completely rare gesture, even if the priests and ladies of the court thought it was too bold, but that day it felt different. It felt like there was so much you wanted to say but couldn’t, like you wished you could take the pain away.
Life in Wessex had been complicated since you could remember. You were born in a time of fighting and chaos caused by the incursions of the danes, and that’s all you had known your entire life. Sometimes a sliver of calm seemed to settle on the land but everybody knew it only the calm before the storm.
Even amongst the continuous hardships you had been extremely lucky. You were the second born and only daughter to a Lord from a land close to Winchester, a lord who was a member of the witan and very close to King Alfred himself. Your privileges meant you were to be saved among the first if a raid were to occur and you would be transported to Wincester to stay with the rest of the ladies.
It was during one of those raids that you became close friends with the Aetheling Edward. Or at least as close as the scary Lady Aelswith would allow you to get to her darling boy. During the long months that it took the Wessex army to defeat the danes and return to your family the land, and during that time you seemed to find in Edward a nice companion for the scary times.
During the years you had visited Winchester several times and always felt the excitement of seeing an old friend again. The times the both of you spent together on those visits had slowly decreased, Edward being whisked away for his education as a future King and you trying to make yourself known around the city as a respectable lady in training.
But every visit included an arduous negotiation with Steapa and your lady in waiting to allow you a visit to the gardens away from the queen, the priests and every nosy person at the court where you could get up to speed with your friend. Even if the meeting took place while you were seated in different stone benches and your guardians were standing two feet away.
Somewhere along those multiple visits and secret meetings feelings arose but were quickly shut down by your father. He would love to see his daughter married to the King of Wessex but it was not a reasonable thought. Everybody knew you were not Lady Aelswith’s favourite person and she would never allow for those feelings to be acted upon, so it was better to concentrate your efforts in finding a husband whose mother didn’t dislike you that much.
And you tried, but it was easier said than done. After your third meeting with a possible suitor went wrong your father asked the Lord King to give you shelter in the court and an occupation that might help you find a suitable husband.
The Lord King, who you suspected knew all along of your feelings for his son but probably thought it would be entertaining to see how things developed. The man who had treated you with the utmost respect and who was now dead.
You felt Edwards hand enveloping your hand and gently squeezing it. If it was to get out of your reverie or just for support you didn’t care, but it felt good. Your thumb started softly caressing the back of his hand, the biggest show of affection you were allowed even if what you wanted was to wrap him in your arms.
“What are you thinking about?” You spoke looking directly at his frowned face.
“Everything, nothing.” With a deep breath he tightly shut his eyes and rubbed them with his free hand. “I spent all my life getting ready for this moment and now that it’s here I feel like I’m unprepared. The witan will be meeting soon and I know that they see me as nothing but a child who is not fit to rule Wessex. I don’t know what will be of my mother now that my father is dead. I don’t know what would be of me now that he’s not here to guide me.”
His confession made your stomach turn and a lump formed in your throat. He had probably been feeling lost since his father died but he was only now talking about it. And it made you feel useless because the most you could do was support him.
“You are the son of a king, the grandson of a king and will be the father of a king, Edward. This is what you were born to do, rule Wessex and fulfill your father’s dream of a united land.” You could feel him tense but tried to ignore it, prefering to get your thoughts out of the way first. “The witan wouldn’t dare to choose a different king when they know you are the best option. They will probably debate for days, because the Lord knows they enjoy just discussing the most trivial of topics, but the decision has been made since you commanded the troops at Beamfleot.”
He sighed deeply before unlacing your hands and letting himself fall on a chair. Running his hands through his dirty blonde curls muttering something. When asked about what he said he just smiled sadly.
"I said I liked being half-educated; you were so much more surprised at everything when you were ignorant."
You laughed, remembering the amount of times the priests had called both of you ignorant during your childhood years just for asking questions. And he was right, life seemed to become more complicated when the joyful feelings of childhood started to vanish.
“We were surprised because we were innocent, I don’t think you have ever been ignorant.” You tried to argue, memories flashing back of all the trouble he had gotten you out of just by being educated and charming. “Maybe we were just sheltered and now the roof has blown off and for once we’re on our own.”
Silence set around the room, the only noise present was your breathing and the shifting of your dress every time you moved. He seemed to be deep in thought again and this time you didn’t dare to break him out of his constant thinking. It wasn’t until he leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees that you paid attention to him again.
“Maybe we were sheltered and a little bit ignorant. Maybe our parents tried to protect us from the disaster and pain surrounding us all the time. We never heard real stories about battle or war. We never learned what it really takes to thrive as a kingdom…” He pointed at the books filled with stories of his father’s life on the shelves. “But that doesn't mean we are alone.”
He got up quickly, maybe too quickly for you to fully understand what the words really meant. In a long stride he was back in front of you looking at your eyes with an intensity that you knew only meant trouble.
“You’ve been here since I can remember. I saw you when you were not taller than two feet and I see you now that you are a beautiful lady.” He continued his speech making your face flush. “You are the closest ally I have ever had and I would like it to stay that way no matter the circumstances”
You had thought of him as more than a friend often but now that you were on the receiving end of his words it almost didn’t feel real.
“Maybe we can be alone together.” He tried to explain, offering you a hand to take.
Your mind was going faster than you could keep up. In a small amount of time you thought about it, about what it might mean for you and him, your families...you even thought about what it might mean for the kingdom. And in all that thinking you couldn’t find a single reason to say no.
You placed your hand back in his, and if before it felt different now it felt otherworldly. With a smile he raised your hand to his lips and placed a soft kiss to the back of it. You couldn’t avoid but softly hitting his cheek like you did when you were younger and you wanted him to stop being mean, because some part of you hadn’t felt this close to him since before rules were placed for your interactions.
“I would love to be alone together with you, Edward.”

You were happy to be in the arms of the man you loved. Happy to have people around who adored you. You were finally happy. You wished to put the past behind you, not wanting to let your loved ones know what you did. You were almost successful... until the ghosts of the past came haunting you.

The long summer nights turned into weeks and at the end of July, you turned 19. The town stopped talking about Hannah’s death because the search for the murderer was without any results. All of her well-known suitors had the credible alibi and this tragic occurrence fell into the pit of oblivion even though most of the women, who were walking around the night after the sunset, were being more careful than before and tried to avoid walking on the dark side of the streets and forests.
You soon found out that everything changed. You were securing your position as Jungkook’s wife and were devotedly fulfilling your marital obligations and most of the time, your face was glowing with happiness. You enjoyed sleeping on the same bed as him and longed for him if he had to be gone from you for a short while. Jungkook knew your body better than yourself and thanks to that, he increased the pleasure you felt each time. He considered making love to you to be an art and to you, he was an artist. His ways were unpredictable and refined. Sometimes he flirted with you, courted you as if you two were not married and you were just an innocent vigrin in his arms trying to find out what is the pleasure. He cooed you how beautiful you were, he was playful with you and gently caressed each part of your body until you were shaking with delight. Other time, when you did something unexpected, that turned him on, he simply ripped your dress, threw you on the bed and took you with so much force but each time it was with your consent and sometimes you even thought you liked this side of him more than the gentle one. He was playing with you, making fun of you and teasing you but you loved everything he did. He asked you not to be only his wife but also his lover, he wanted you to give yourself to him freely but also to rile up his desire but then also to satisfy him in every way possible. He was begging for your attention, touch and love. He just wanted you. “Are the other men also as romantic as you?“ you asked one night when he pressed you against the pillows. “Are other women also blessed with such loving husbands?“ Jungkook smiled and pushed the stranded hair from your face. “Are other men blessed with such seductive wives? “ He replied to your question with another. “Are other women so beautiful and so willing to satisfy their husbands’ every need?“
August welcomed you with bright hot sunlight and most of the families tried to be by the shore, wanting to refresh themselves by the breeze that was blowing there. You and your family spent a few nights at the beach house of Catherine Locke and the elder lady was more than content to tell everyone who tried to gossip about you two, that Mrs and Mr Jeon were sleeping together and were the most loveable couple she had ever seen.
Soon enough, Jungkook had to leave for the sawmill, to close up all the accounting books and McLohan family invited you to come with your husband and son to visit them for dinner. When you saw Sara McLohan, you were shocked by how much that woman changed. She looked very pretty even though she gained weight, as it only added to her beauty. The milky white skin that you thought was because she was malnourished turned into a tanned one. She looked way younger than when you met her for the first time. “She looks wonderful,“ you noted when your husband helped you walk down the carriage. “As if she were a completely different person.“
Ian McLohan walked out of the big white house and hurried to welcome you and your husband. Sara helped her youngest child to walk down the stairs as he was trying to follow his father. Mrs McLohan welcomed heartily welcomed Jungkook. She was used to his presence at the sawmill but when she saw you, she shyly smiled even though she was the one who decided to invite you. You could not help yourself but praise how good she looked. “Sara, this kind of environment helps you flourish.“ You told her happily. “You look wonderful.“ Your hostess blushed and Ian wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer gently. “I told her many times, Mrs Jeon, but she always thinks that I am just joking.“ Said Ian McLohan. “I have never felt so amazing before.“ Sara said quietly. “I almost forgot that I am expecting another baby.“ You and Jungkook smiled at the great news and congratulated them.
“It is going to take a few years for my wife to catch up with you, Sara. “ Joked Jungkook. “But I have a really good hunch that she will be able to do it. With our son, I barely touched her ... and here we are.“ Jeongsan was looking around at the unfamiliar people from the safety of his father’s embrace but did not mind being talked about. You looked at Jungkook with rosy cheeks hinting at him embarrassment but he smiled and pressed a soft kiss on your forehead. “There is no way someone would doubt who is his father, Mr Jeon.“ Sara smiled at the little boy Jungkook was holding. “He looks like your copy... even the dark brown eyes. “ Jungkook proudly smiled and quietly he was cooing his son who giggled at him. When Jungkook had his face near Jeongsan there was no doubt they were related. Now you knew that back when you decided to run away from Bangtan never wanting to meet Jungkook again, Jeongsan’s eyes would have reminded you of Jungkook for the rest of your life. “Will he come to me?“ Sara asked reaching out her arms to Jeongsan who firmly denied the invitation by turning his face to his father and placing his small head on Jungkook’s shoulder.  “Please, do not be offended, Sara. “ You apologized to an older female. “He does not want to be held by anyone other than his father. He loves him too much.“ You cocked your head to the side to look at your husband. “Looks like his face enchanted him as well.“ You smiled while your eyes glowed with love.
At your remark, everyone started laughing and the children of McLohan family started surrounding Jungkook to take a better look at the little Jeon. Soon enough, the oldest daughter won Jeongsan over and started cooing him while holding him in her embrace. Ian excused himself because he has some things to do at the sawmill and Jungkook went with him, wanting to ensure, that everything was alright. You and Sara were enjoying your time on the porch and from time to time, the older female walked away to check up on the meal that was being cooked in the kitchen. “I think I am looking forward to this baby even more than I looked forward to the others. “ Sara admitted shyly. “Before we were always worried if we would have enough money. Sometimes we had almost enough, but most of the time not. Now I feel like we are in paradise and in my prayers, I thank God for sending us your husband. He brought us up from nothing and gave us everything.“ You stopped sipping on the tea and your eyes became glossy. “It is strange, Sara, but he did that with me too. He helped me out of my horrible situation and gave me happiness. My life was worthless before he entered it.“ Sara was watching you for a while. “You really love him, don't you?“ You smiled softly. “Yes, “ You admitted and then sighed. “I love him so much that sometimes I am afraid. I think that our life is so perfect and I am afraid something might happen that would interrupt our perfection ... and if I were to lose him or his love... I would die.“ Sara smiled. “When I met your husband for the first time, Mrs Jeon, he was sitting alone in one tavern up north. From afar, some woman was watching him but he did not even look at her. He was looking into his glass absentmindedly and he looked somehow... sad. Later on, he mentioned you for a bit, telling me you were expecting a baby and his expression changed. He looked so happy talking about you and then I was sure that he loved you very much. Since then, I came to know him even better and I am sure my first impression of him was right. I have never seen any other man to love his wife as much as he loves you.“ You wiped the tear that fell down your cheek and smiled feeling sorry. “I think I am too emotional today when I am crying literally because of nothing. Forgive me, Sara. Usually, I am not like this.“ Sara smiled warmly. “Oh no, Mrs Jeon, this is the reason why I respect you even more. A woman, who cries because of love for a man, is perceptive to life itself. “
Later Sara prepared lemonade for guests, kids and workers from the sawmill and you asked her if you could be the one who brought them to the sawmill. When you were carefully carrying the tray to the sawmill, it was your first time seeing it work fully. You saw Mr McLohan in front of the building as he was talking to a few of the workers. He politely bowed to you with a welcoming smile and offered you to carry the tray for you which you rejected and poured the lemonade for workers yourself as well. They were greeting you and with awe, they were looking at you as you were slowly walking towards the smaller building where your husband was supposed to be. Ian McLohan coughed to catch their attention and asked them to close their mouths but even so, they were watching you discreetly.
You were standing in the doorframe of the small office that had only basic furniture in it and the walls were made of rough wood without any tapestry or painting. Your husband was sitting on the tall chair by the table with his back facing you. It was rather hot so Jungkook decided to take off his shirt so he could refresh himself with a soft breeze that blew in through the opened windows. You were watching the muscles on his back and thought about how wonderful it was to touch them. You moved a little which caused the wooden floor to creak. Jungkook turned around and when he saw you in the doorframe, he stood up and it was more than obvious how happy he was to see you, saving him from the boring paperwork. With a smile, he pulled you in and closed the door. He took the tray from you, placed it on the table and gulped the content of the glass you brought him. “Ahh,“ He placed the glass back on the tray and approached you. “This is what I needed while doing this boring accounting. The drink to quench my thirst,“ He pulled you in a hug. “And a beautiful woman I could look at.“ You giggled and hid your face in his chest. “I remember how angry you were with me when I interrupted you while working. Has the work become less important or do you long for me even more than before?“ You lectured him. Jungkook kissed you on the top of your head and became serious. “I apologize, little one. That day... I was just the worst. Your rejection to sleep with me made me act out on impulse and I acted like a savage.“
“My rejection?!“ You protested. “But Jungkook, I have never done anything to stop you from claiming your rights as a husband. You were the one who rejected to sleep with me on the same bed after I was sick on Bangtan. And you were the one who rejected to sleep with me at Hybe the first time we came there. I was mroe than willing to satisfy your needs but you rejected me and slept alone.“ Jungkook was listening to you carefully. “I see that our marriage was full of misunderstandings.“ He said quietly. “You thought that I wanted you less than the first time we met when I took you for the first time and... because we got married. And I thought you hated even the thought of me touching you, I was worried you might protest if I tried to do anything. It is very interesting how our overthinking turned against us. We should have acted on impulse.“ He leaned in closer to you and pressed his hot lips on your neck. “We would have found the love sooner.“ You felt heat growing inside you and you knew that as long as you live, his touch would always make you feel things. You had no will or desire to protest when he started caressing you. Your body and soul listened to his touch more than it listened to you. Thanks to Jungkook, your life seemed to be a beautiful dream that you never wanted to wake up from.
Jungkook traced your neck with his lips only to stop himself above the little dimple on your neck because a soft lace prohibited him from going lower. He played with the buttons on your dress as he was whispering you sweet nothings. He was sliding down from the first button to the second, third, seventh until the last one. A smile appeared on his lips when with a gentle tug he pulled lower the dress and the bodice you were wearing and your bust showed to him on full display. Jungkook kissed you and the bare part and you trembled at every one of his touches. “What if someone comes, Jungkook,“ you whispered trying to catch your breath. “I will kill everyone who touches the door, “ He replied calmly and did not stop kissing your bust, gently squeezing the right breast. “But what if someone barges in?“ You protested weakly not being able to resist him any longer. He slid his hands under your dress and pulled you in so close, your bust was teasing him while touching his chest. “I will need to put a lock on the door. “ He whispered hoarsely while kissing you on your forehead. “and I need to bring a bed too. These chairs are too small. “ Jungkook sighed and let go of you. “Well then, little one. Looks like I will give in to your pleads.“ Still filled with need, you tried to fix your dress and bodice but as you were trying to button up the dress, your fingers were shaking so you had to do it slowly. Jungkook returned to the table and was looking at you attentively. “My love, you would seduce even a saint. So before I take you right here and now, I will help you dress up. “

When you walked out of the office, your cheeks were still flushed with blush and you had no idea what you were doing. You almost tripped on Lucia, one of the youngest daughters of McLohan family that was kneeling on the ground, looking carefully at the mushroom. “Look Mrs Jeon what I found. “ You knelt down next to her and asked: “Do you think it belongs to some forest fairy?“ A little girl widened her eyes in happiness. “Do you think so, Mrs Jeon? Maybe they left it here. “ You nodded. “It is very likely. “ You replied and smiled at the thrill little girl felt after finding out it might be left by a magical creature. “Could we go to the forest to look for them?“
“Of course, “ You replied standing up. “Maybe we can find the whole magical land.“ Lucia held your hand pulling you towards the direction of the forest. “Let's go quick so they won't hide.“ With a smile on your lips, you followed the little girl to the forest. It was a dense forest and only a few sunbeams were able to come through the leaves. Soon enough you entered a small clearing and somewhere above you a bird was chirping happily at its mate. In the middle of the clearing was standing a huge oak and a few flowers were poking out from the tall grass. “I would live here if I was a forest fairy.“ You did not want to question the little girl, why she would pick the clearing instead of the forest. Instead, you were watching her as she spread out her arms and started twirling. “Have you been here before, Lucia?“
“Yes, Madam. Many, many times.“ You smiled. “I liked it here. It is a very beautiful place, Lucia.“ “I knew you would like it here, Mrs Jeon. “ Said Lucia happily as she stopped turning. You giggled at her innocence and pushed back the blonde hair that was falling to the little girl’s face. You started looking around yourself that caught Lucia’s attention. “I do not see any signs that forest fairies live here. Do you?“ The girl frowned. “No, madam.“ Lucia said but then again smiled. “But I feel like one is watching me. I am sure of it.“
You smiled at her innocence, liking the thought as much as Lucia. “But that is much better than knowing where they live, right? Not everyone is as lucky to be watched by the forest fairy. We should pretend that we do not know about them.“ The little blonde girl smiled brightly. “How should we do it, Mrs Jeon?“ You hummed for a while and then turned to her. “We will get some flower and pretend that we do not know about them being so close to us. Maybe they will show up.“
A little girl nodded. “Ahh, yes. Good.“ You were watching Lucia as she was trying her best to act like she was simply getting the flowers and not caring about the forest fairy, that she believed, was watching her. You did not care as much about what was invisible and what not and started gathering the flowers on the table of Sara McLohan. Lucia soon enough forgot about the forest fairy and flowers and decided to follow the butterfly. You were watching her until she disappeared in the direction of the sawmill. You stayed there and picked different kinds of wildflowers.
Even though you were focused on picking up the flowers, soon enough you also noticed a strange feeling of being watched. The soft, almost invisible, hairs on your neck bristled up and shivers went down your spine. When you started turning around, to see if your suspicion was right, you were almost expecting a forest fairy to be watching, because you were sure the little girl was right the whole time. You were looking into the forest to find the cause until you saw him. It was no forest fairy but a man on the horse standing not that far from you. His dark figure looked terrifying because even though it was a hot sunny day, he was wearing a black cloak that covered him. A tall collar covered half of his face and a tricorne created a shade on his face that made you unable to recognize who it was. Slowly, with his face hidden, he spurred the horse to move forward which caused you to froze up. You were unable to turn around and run but instead, you started backing away carefully. The man spurred the horse to hurry up and when you saw him approaching you, you screamed and with a frightened expression, you turned and ran from the clearing towards the road that led to the sawmill.
The rider on the horse was reaching for you and almost he grabbed you, but you threw the flowers you were holding on the ground and made your way through the dense forest. You were looking behind, scared that he might catch you, but you no longer saw the horse with a rider but instead a dark monster that was about to end you. Somewhere in front of you, you heard Jungkook shouting your name. The rider pulled the rein, which signalized that he also heard Jungkook. You heard the cracking of the branches and you ran there knowing it was your husband. “Jungkooook!“ You shouted knowing you were at the end of your strength. When you turned around to check on the rider, you saw the horse standing on its back legs from the sudden pull of the rein and the strange dark man turned the horse around and ran in the opposite direction than you. Before he disappeared in the darkness of the forest, for a brief while, you saw his back. Something about that men felt familiar but you weren't sure what. Jungkook ran to you and when you noticed him, you fell into his embrace sobbing. “Oh, Jungkook, he was horrible.“ You cried. “Horrible.“
“Oh Gosh, what happened? I came to call you for the dinner and then I heard your scream.“ He was hugging you tightly. “You are shaking,“ “There was a man... in the horse.“ You let out with difficulty trying to calm yourself. “He was chasing me. He almost got me.“ Jungkook pulled you away from him for a while and looked into your eyes. “Who was it, Y/N? Have you seen him before?“ You shook your head. “No. No. He had a tricorne and a cloak so I could not see him well. I was getting flowers for Mrs McLohan when I felt that somebody was watching me. When I saw him, he started approaching me, when I ran away, he chased after me.“ Shivers went down your spine yet again and the memory of a mysterious man. “He looked so terrifying, Jungkook.“ Jungkook pulled you to himself and held you close, trying to calm you down as best as he knew. “He is gone, little one.“ He whispered. “You are safe, no one is going to hurt you.“
“Who could it be, Jungkook? What did he want here?“ “I don't know, my love, but Hanna’s murderer has not been caught yet. It would be best if you did not go anywhere by yourself. We have to tell the McLohan family as well. If that man returns, I do not want any woman or children to stand in his way. We will ask men to guard different parts of the sawmill. It could help.“
“I threw the flowers I gathered because of him.“ You pouted sadly. “I had made a huge bouquet for Sara’s table but he scared me so much I let go of them.“ Jungkook chuckled. “It is alright, my love. We will go get them.“ He grabbed the hem of your skirt and wiped the tears from your cheeks. “And now stop crying otherwise you will have a red nose.“ Jungkook kissed your cheek softly. “You are not scared anymore, right?“ You leaned on him and smiled when you answered. “When you are here, Jungkook, I am not.“

Match up No. 13
Tumblr media
glasses-and-bandana-s hat gefragt:
Hi, I was wondering if I could ask you for a match up if you don't mind? 👉👈
My name is Nille, I'm 20, bi and I use she/they pronouns. I'm a college student in 3D animation 😊 I'm a pretty passionate person and hiding my emotions is not smth I'm good at or like doing for that matter. Aside from that, I try to be more laid back and relaxed. Being the mom friend, putting myself aside and stressing over everything for 6 years was enough for me 😅😂 I'm naturally curious and I try my best to be kind and helpful.
I like learning languages, all art forms (making and history), traveling and baking. I am a MASSIVE movie nerd, especially when it comes to animation.
I don't like my dad, feeling lonely, being underestimated and the snob mentality we have towards animation in the West (I can and will fight ppl over it).
As for a short physical description: I'm 1m69, have an hourglass figure and I'm as pale as a sheet of paper. My hair is a dark brown pixie cut and my eyes are green/grey. Oh and dem freckles lol.
Thank you a lot for your time and energy. Please take your time (not just with this request, but with all of them), your health goes first 💕 Take care and thank you once more 💕

- I´m gonna be honest with you. I was struggling. Like struggling real hard. Like was sitting in front of my laptop with a picture of Shanks and Ace in front of me while trying to figure out who to choose. But then Luffy popped up at some point but then vanished only to be replaced by Sabo. He at some time vanished too and I was back at wondering if I should take Shanks or Ace. But then I thought about Vivi and I was getting nervous. BUT. A FTER A MENTAL BREAKDOWN. I MANAGED TO CHOOSE! And here we are my dear. I will be pairing you up with Bartolomeo.
- ….
- No! Jokes aside now. I´m pairing you up with Ace. XD
- You were part of the Whitebeard pirates since a year now. You enjoyed every single day o sea while living your best life.
- You got along with every crew member, no matter if there were male or female. You were one of the youngest members and one of the most loved one. Not gonna lie you sometimes were even called Pops little princess. The way he always called you to sit next to him during meals was always adorable. But everyone understood why. You were a chill and cheerful young lady. You were easy going and sweet. You always tried your best to help wherever you could. There were a lot of days in which you did the least liked tasks what always got Pops to get mad at the boys for making you do it. But you never cared. You enjoyed and liked being helpful.
- You took care of every crew member. Mostly when some of them came back from a missions /fights. You loved all of them and always genuinely showed it what made everyone appreciate and respect you for being with them.
- And whenever you did not help out any crewmate you would be hanging out with Ace.
- Ace. That reckless and sometimes clumsy man was the best part of being out on the sea as a pirate.
- They say that a princess would never leave her comfort zone voluntarily. For nothing and no one. But if it´s a person that is able to make them forget who they are and treat them like a normal human being, they would drop anything and anyone to be with them.
- And exactly this was the case. You were part of the royal elite on a island that was located at the first half of the grand line. You were an intelligent and open minded young royal, that was liked by the civilians but hated and despised by the royalty for being hard working to achieve your dreams and fulfill all of your wishes. They didn´t like the fact that you did not make others work for you while you did nothing but enjoy life as a royalty. (Not gonna lie I was inspired by a character of another anime I recently started. XD). They wanted you to follow the words of the elders and simply focus on your appearance so the prince can fall in love with you.
- You hated your life there. You hated your family. You hated the norms and values they lived there. The only thing you wanted was to get out and live your life as a normal human being when Ace appeared out of nowhere and dragged you around the island in hope to find a good restaurant that served good meat.
- This might sound ridicoulus but that was your first encounter. Your first encounter with a man that did not bow in front of you, placed a kiss on your knuckles, made you tons of compliments and had a stupid conversation about the weather.
- He came up to you and asked if the old grumpy looking man was botheting you and if you wanted him to punch him. He was ready to fight the stranger for a stranger. But when you told him that the grumpy man was your father he shrugged his shoulders and just repeated his question. His beahviour made you laugh and you told him that as much as you wanted him to be punched in the face he still was your father. So you asked for his name and lead him around the park you currently were at. But the poor man got bored and made you lead him to the market so he could eat.
- Whenever you would think about your first encounter with him you would be smiling and thanking the gods for sending you such a good hearted and nice man. A man that slowly and with more days and weeks passing turned into your boyfriend who turned you, a well mannered and raised royal into a navigator of one of the strongest pirate crews.
- Ace never held you back from doing what you liked or wanted to try. In fact he always encouraged you to keep doing that and always made sure no one was bothering you.
- There was one think you really appreciated. And that was his habit of always being around you. No matter what the circumstances were. There was a party? He always made sure to keep an eye on you. The whitebeared pirates were docking on one of their islands? Ace would be holding your hand and show you around. He would go out to eat. He would always drop by at your cabin to ask if you wanted to join him.
- Ace knew that you didn´t like being alone since you were always left alone by your family so he alwys tried his best to accompany you.
- As much as you loved and appreciated him, there was one thing that always and forever will be overwhelimg to you. and that’s the fact that the most energetic and reckless man was able to fall asleep in a blink of an eye. Like you could be talking to him and look away for a second just to find him snoring on the ground when you searched for his eyes. Like WtF! How is he able to sleep on the ground so peacefully?!
