I kind of broke my "finish in one sitting" rule for this one but only because originally she was going to be flying closer to the water, so I drew her reflection in, then decided it would look better if she was higher up and didn't end up using it. That and I underestimated how hard water/waves are to draw from this angle lol. I'm really happy with how it turned out though!

I also made a little logo as a placeholder for any chapters where I can't be bothered/don't have time to do artwork, but I thought it looked nice in the corner there lol, here's a no logo version too though.

Do honorifics seem kind of silly? Well, besides the formality of them, they could work for anyone who might view them as a status. Fictives might have a certain ranking or status from their source. Otherkin might see their species as having some kind of required rank or formality based on the culture. Nonhumans in general might want to do away with any honorifics that refer to them as human, gendered or not. I think they could be useful and fun! 💙💚

Some example sentences below:

"This is Nr. Apollo and xe are visiting the local college to talk about xer experiences as an agender person. Have you been to one of xer lectures? I love to listen to xem talk. Go check out Nr. Apollo when you get the chance."

My attempt at drawing my cyborg! reader mind you she doesn't have to look like this....God I can not draw hands or feet!

her body was designed by Zoffy and herself to mimic an ultra's appearance, but under all that armor, clone tissue and bio-tech is the broken and scarred body of a human woman who had her whole life turned upside by a person she trusted as a friend and mentor before Zoffy learned truth and rescued her.

Other Ultras or aliens are put off by her presence when they first meet her. cos everything about Cy screams "uncanny valley."

finally got tired of finding images to color pick from every single time I draw them and just made a masterpost for their colors

a couple notes just so I remember

>the lighter tones on Flower, Y2K, Tucker, and Cyborg Tucker, should be used for under wrists and feet, and in Tucker and Cy Tuck's case, in vitiligo patterns

>the blue for Cyborg Tucker's skin should only be used on vitiligo patterns in complete darkness (they glow!)

>the extra hair tones on Flower and Barb should be used to define curls

>the darker skin tones on Flower and Barb are for freckles. the darker skin tone on Y2K is for the shaved part of their head

>in signature colors- Tucker's top row is for his clothing when he's a kid. the bottom row is clothing for when he's older

>for Barb's signature colors, the top row is uniforms, the second casual clothing, and the third is for her gold tooth

>for Y2K's signature colors, the top purple should be used for piercings and nails while the magenta is for their glasses

>also, when drawing older (as in when they were younger) pictures of Y2K their hair is not that dark purple naturally, naturally it's brown

the signature colors aren't colors they strictly wear, just colors they wear often enough I need a reference for them

Hi, I'm Cyborg or Cy for short 💜 I have purple colour affinity, so you might see abundance of that here. Keep in mind that I'm 26 and there might be more mature stuff, so you have been warned.

I'm agender and go by they/she, tho I generally don't mind anything.

You might see there lots of reblogs: from memes, cats&dogs videos, to different fandom and my friends things.

I might or might not post my own things like my art or writings. Usually I just share it with friends on our server. Heh, I can dream 😔 if I do those might be fanarts, ships and self ships

I was not expecting my first piece of fanart for a wings of fire character to be shipping one of them with a Spyro character, but here we are lol. Shipping the two "edgy" moody dragon girls sounded like too much fun not to do though. They're lesbians now, I don't care what cannon says.

I've been on this site for less than 2 months and I'm already doing unusual ship art that I spent way too much time on lmao

Tips for drawing and writing amputees: The prosthetic needs something to hold onto

Prosthetics need to be able to hold on to the body.

If you're giving your amputee something similar to 99.99% of modern prosthetics, this will be done through a socket. This is a ridged cup made perfectly for the amputee that holds the prosthetic onto the body. Older prosthetics (mostly anything before the 90's) made the prosthetic socket intentionally tight in spots, which is what held it in place. Some people with sensitive skin still use this style of prosthetic but they've mainly fallen out of use in favour for suction sockets. These sockets create a vacuum seal that holds the prosthetic in place. These can work in two ways, either just by forcing excess air out of the socket and creating the seal that way, or for some legs, sucking that excess air out and into an "ankle" mechanism to offer some extra suspension and padding in the step.

Some prosthetics will also use additional measures as well as suction, such as pin-locks, where the amputee wears a sock with a screw at the bottom that clips into a mechanism at the bottom of the socket, or a prosthetic with movable panels that can be tightened via cables running through the socket.

I've used all of these except the pin lock socket, and they all have one thing in common: The sockets need as much space as possible. For prosthetics using suction in particular, this is to spread out the amount of force being applied to the leg. If all the suction is being applied to the end of the stump, it's going to get sore and could even damage the skin. If that same amount of suction is applied to a much wider area, it's going to feel less intense. Likewise, older prosthetics needed as much space to work with as possible too, as applying tight pressure to a small area as opposed to a larger surface to keep the tension isn't good for your skin or muscles in that spot.

For this reason, the sockets will take up all of the space available without limiting movement, meaning they will go all the way up to the next major joint. An amputee who lost their hand through the wrist will have a socket that goes all the way to their elbow. An amputee who lost their leg through or above the knee will have a socket that goes all the way to their hip.

Sometimes, if an amputation is particularly close to a major joint and there isn't a lot of space left between the stump and the next major joint, prosthetists will opt to immobilise the closest joint and take the socket all the way up to the next major joint. This was something I've actually discussed with my prosthetist. My left leg is amputated below the knee, but I only have a few centimetres of space below the knee. That leg occasionally needs revisions, meaning they take the very tip off of the stump to help correct issues with weird bone growth, scarring, infections etc, but if I get another revision, my leg will be too short to comfortably wear a socket, so my knee will need to be immobilised and my leg will become, functionally, an above knee amputation, despite still having the joint. This is rare, but it happens on occasion, showing that sometimes that need for space trumps even the use of a still functional joint. It's really important.

I wanted to bring this up because I see a lot of people draw sockets on their amputee's prosthetics, but they're much too tiny to be comfortable!

I did mention most prosthetics use a socket, but not all do. Some old prosthetics did not have sockets and were held in place using other methods.

This is a "prosthetic" my prosthetist found in his company's back room. He's not sure when it was made, but together we came up with an estimate of it being made around the 70's for a through-hip amputee (meaning someone who's whole leg was amputated with no stump at all)

It's designed so that the user would rest their hip on the cushion and use the handle to hold it in place and move it in time with their walk. This kind of mobility aid isn't often used anymore (me nor my prosthetist have seen one out in the world), and seems to have faded in use during the 80's as sockets were invented that could better hold onto the hip and pelvis for through-hip amputees and the use of wheelchairs for amputees became less stigmatised.

There's also A new type of prosthetic has been developed called the Osseointegration prosthetic, which also doesn't use a socket either. These are very rare as they are incredibly expensive and still very risky, but these prosthetics bypass the socket and implant the prosthetic directly into the body through a rod planted inside one's stump bone. This rod has a clip at the end of the stump, so the external part of the prosthetic can be removed as needed (and replaced). The reason they are risky though is that they are EXTREMELY prone to infection. I only know one person who had this implanted successfully, but he has to be very careful to keep his leg clean or else it will get infected (and it frequently does, he's constantly on antibiotics). Everyone else I know who got it had to get it removed.

With time these implants will get safer, but we are a very, very long way off from that right now.

Remember that TETOCU Roleswap AU I posted about yesterday. Well, I'm working on the next chapter on ACIT, but I've had pretty bad writers block. So this will help the writer's block down.

The 6 OCS from the Roleswap AU!

Eleanor White is the art teacher. She is generous, lovable, loyal, and a natural problem solver. She loves drawing. Sometimes Eleanor draws a picture and her daughter Rosalie adds color! Eleanor is such a kindly girl, even the jerks George and Harold think she's adorable! She is aroace, like my ACIT OC Hazel (remember her?).

Esther is Eleanor's oldest daughter. Esther knows the truth about what makes a real friend. She has zero tolerance for anything or anyone unkind or with ill intentions. She is very protective of her sisters and will stand up for them, even if it means getting violent. Sometimes, Esther struggles to keep his cool. To blow off steam, she reads books. Esther can sometimes be a bit shy, but it doesn't stop her from being a brilliant friend.

Mariana is trans, and the Middle Sister/Brother. She’s female presenting but has male genitalia. She loves tennis. She also has a soft side for cooking. When she was little, Mariana didn't know how to swim! Eleanor taught her how. Mariana's outgoing personality pairs perfectly with Esther's shy composure.

The youngest sister, Rosalie is so kind and sweet. The problem is, not everyone is as nice as her! As a result, she's sometimes accused of looking at the world through rose-colored lenses. Along with being a bit of a dirt, Rosalie has two left feet and can almost always be found tripping over something or falling flat on her face. She uses painting to show her emotion and feelings.

Rosalie loves anything creative and is very artsy. She played a certain visual novel once. Rosalie sometimes likes to make her friends laugh by doing a silly dance move with her trusty paintbrush.

School nurse. Clare is a college student, and not quite a teacher. She has heterochromia. She can commune with animals, both gaining information from them and using them as allies. Yes, animals include Pokémon ;) Clare is friends with Esther, Rosalie and Mariana. When asked about it, Clare says it wouldn't really matter anyway since she's not included in Eleanor's family. Her bow tie is expressive! Clare doesn't have a best friend. She likes all people equally. Yes, this includes George and Harold, the jerks no one likes. Every day, in a special notebook, Clare writes down one thing that has made her smile that day. This mostly includes adventures with the trio, but other things too.

Cy-Eleanor is Eleanor's future self, and Melvinborg's girlfriend. She and her boyfriend were involved in the same car accident. They swear that the age gap when dating is good for them! I took all of the traits that Eleanor had, and gave a contrasting trait to Cy-Eleanor. Generous? Try greedy. Loveable, loyal and a natural problem solver? Cy-Eleanor is cruel, conniving, and powerful. Aroace? Try a person who will do anything, no matter how depraved, to help her beloved cyborg, even if he doesn't want anything to do with her! She appears in season 2. And yes, the gray bits are meant to be her cyborg half.
