Dungeons and Maidens | Eddie Munson x (Elven) Fem!Reader |

Summary: Eddie meets a mystical being to real to be true and realizes the many years of playing D&D is going to help him become the hero to save Hawkins and a whole other world.

A rolling cheer erupts throughout the room earning a joyful laughter from the head of the table. "Well done travelers." Eddie starts cutting the rooms celebration short, a eerie edge to his tone. "You are weary, but satisfied with the journey which put an end to the Cult of Lord Vecna." Brown eyes search each member at the table; gauging their reactions to his end monologue of the journey taken of their by the players of the current campaign. "Now, you lay at rest as a new danger takes form. Shadows take form of a dark figure. He who is tall, robe sewn from darkness itself, and skin like ice." Eddie brings two hands up towards his face, mocking the removal of a hood.

"No." Dustin starts, eyes blown wide with fear.

"Yes, my friends. He hath returned." Eddie confirms with a mischievous grin. It was just the reaction he needed.

"Mallus the Wielder." Gareth mutters. It was deathly quiet and wonderful ending to a nights campaign.

As the younger crowd filtered out of the building and the Drama Club room, Eddie stayed behind to clean up. Once finished with that he locked up and headed towards the school lot, exiting through the unarmed fire door. He fished his keys out of his back pocket and made his way towards his van. He glanced around the vacant lot humming to himself as he strides towards his own vehicle. The night was silent, crickets chirping, wind whistling, and birds cawing.

When he reached the door, on the other side of the lot one of the trash bins clattered, followed by the shattering of glass. "Hello?" He turns on his heels, the gravel crunching beneath his feet. His nose scrunched up and eyes dangerously narrowed. "Who's there?"

Footsteps run past him from behind and Eddie whirls around holding his hands up in defense. Another crash off in the distance and he's shaking his head, "Nope. No, not gonna die tonight." He hurriedly turns back to around the front of the van and flings open the door clambering inside. Eddie fumbles with the keys in trying to start the engine.

"E-Excuse me?"

Eddie jumps ten feet in the air, his chest tightens, and his whole body turns. There sitting in the back of his van amongst the clutter of tossed papers, old beer cans followed by the other mix of mess. Knees pressed to the dingy floor and sat back on haunches. A girl.

You a magnificently beautiful creature was inside his van. Completely ethereal and gentle, pointed ears peeking out from behind your locks. An elf? You were an elf?

"Please, I need help." Voice pleading with him. His eyes scanned your face and notice the small scratches and bloodied temple.

Eddie looks down at you and he nodded. You were in danger, needed help, and he was going to give it to you. "Firstly, sweetheart I am going to take you to someone that can help." You nod in agreement. He drove to the one place that he knew would provide you with the care you needed.

Dustin frowns as he walks over to the door, "Guys, I said no more sleepov-" The curly haired child paused as he flung open the door, laying eyes on the one figure he thought would be the last to show up at his doorstep. In his arms lay your limp figure.

Eddie raises his brows, "Can I come in?" He asks. Dustin steps aside and ushers him into the house quickly. Once, he's inside Eddie places your weakened form on the couch and lets you rest, noting that your skin nearly glimmers in the light. Dustin watches then grips Eddie's forearm dragging him into the kitchen to talk.

Dustin lowered his voice to an angered whisper, "Dude! What the heck is going on? Who is that? Is she an elf?" The rapid fir of questions made Eddie slap a hand over the child's mouth.

"First, chill." He nods, eyes darting to the hand that is clasped over his mouth and Eddie huffs removing the hand and continuing. "Secondly, keep your voice down you'll wake her up and I don't know. She appeared in my van, then she explained how she was in danger. Next thing I know she's passed out and I panicked." Eddie explained.

Eddie glances back into the living room and Dustin nodded, "She's an elf? That's-"

"Amazing, I know. I'm freakin' out, man." Eddie's lips pull back into a half-smile. Dustin gets that toothy grin as he thinks about it. How often do people get to meet real life fantasy creatures that only existed in their minds and books.

"Did she say anything about the danger?" Dustin inquires peering into the living room like Eddie who shakes his head, mangy curls bobbing along with his movements.

"Nah, just passed out after asking for help."

"She's so pretty." Dustin commented looking up to his elder who gives a curt nod.

Is as if on cue your eyes flutter open and you sit up on the couch, eyes worriedly taking in the strange surroundings. "Woah, woah, take it easy." Eddie hurries over from the kitchen and kneels before you.

"Danger, I'm- He's coming!" You whimper in fear. Lips trembling and body shaking beneath his soothing touches. Dustin follows behind the metalhead and he gains a worry.

"Who's coming?"

"Mallus. Mallus the Wielder, he's coming." The two share a look of worry and regret. How could any of this be real?
