oh maaaan i had a v similar long distance situation! it worked out for a good while and i'm glad i gave it a shot, the reasons we broke up wasn't even bc of the distance thing in the end!! approaching it with that 'if its meant to be itll be' attitude is really good and it shows youre a tough cookie who can cope w the consequences/outcomes of somethin like this!! you go girl

i saw your acne/acne scars post and oh boy if there's one thing i know about it's that!! for acne: i use tea tree oil (purer is better, you don't want anything w/ sugars) on the spots themselves and lush's catastrophic cosmetic face mask for the redness and inflammation - i'm not kidding when i say you can literally SEE the difference after using it!! ~ for acne scars: i use neutrogena complexion scrub, amie moisturiser and occasionally bio-oil on big ol' bad ones!! i hope this is useful!

I’ve just bought tea tree oil, I saw somebody recommend that! I have a quite allergy prone skin so idk tho, we will see after some time of using it. Do you apply it directly to skin or on a cotton pad?? 

Dang it, we don’t have Lush in Poland. I wish I knew that sooner, I’ve just been to Budapest and went to Lush like very day :c My biggest problem is the scars tho, my acne is mostly gone now. I’ll go try to find the Neutrogena thing, we have a lot of their products in stores here.

Hi my 3 followers (ily) and anyone else. My name is Mel and I’ve actually been on studyblr (inactively for about a year or so. Just started my first year of university and well, I need all the motivation and community I can get. So here I am!

🕯about me

- I’m 19. First year, woohoo.

- We haven’t chosen majors yet, but im very interested in Biochemistry or biotechnology, and I hope to have the capacity to minor in Computer Science (:

- I have a lot of career goals. I’d like to be a dental surgeon, a neonatal surgeon, an interior designer, a travel blogger, a cosmetic scientist... a lot. I love everything. But being a dentist is the one I’m working towards!

- I love the sciences but I do get distracted very very easily. It’s a work in progress..

-Currently I’ve been hovering around Bs and I’d like that to change for the upcoming semester. I’d love to make friends online to motivate me/keep me on track!

- LOVE Harry Potter. And I’ve romanticized the idea of living in France so I’m currently working on being fluent in French and taking my first trip there to get a real feel of the place.

-Love the colour pink. Love being girly.

-Sometimes my notes are neat, but I know I’m productive when they’re messy as hell.

- I’m pretty introverted, but one of my goals next year is to work on networking more and maintaining friendships!

- I’m ass at every sport I’ve ever done so I’m more of a service club type of gal. I volunteer wth children all the time (:

Finally made a studyblr!

Hello, studyblrs!! This is my first post after a short break and a change of perspective, so I thought I should introduce myself:

~ My name is Emma Jean, I’m 16 and I’ve have just moved to Australia after three months of backpacking the world!!

~ Long story short, after a bad academic/mental health period last year, a couple of existential breakdowns, and a eye opening overseas experience I’ve decided it’s time to knuckle down and get my sh*t sorted.

~ After travelling and seeing the wonders of the world, I feel the urge to understand it all. Astrophysics is a path I have recently decided is the career for me. What better to do than fill my tiny contribution to humankind than to help find out what’s beyond! Hopefully this idea will last, as I’ve wanted to be everything under the sun since I was born.

~ My other hobbies include all things music related. I play piano, drums and I hope to start the harp next year

I also love painting, sewing, writing and of course reading.

~ I am hoping being a part of the studyblr community will encourage me academically and inspire me, as well as making some new friends!

~ I will admit, I got inspired by @astraeuzz post, so I feel the need to credit those studyblrs/ musicblrs that got me through some tough times, even if it was just a meme or two

i hope you've had a good shift at work!!! i don't know what to share other than that today i FINALLY got around to organising all my uni notes and files and it's like the biggest weight of my shoulders bc it's been on the back of my mind for literally months hahah!

i am the worst and forgot about these messages!! I put in my two weeks (one week) and I can’t believe that school is two weeks away… that is so amazing that you got things organized!! one of my before-college goals is going through aaaallllll my computer files and organizing/recycling. I don’t want to delete my IB files because they’re (painful but great) memories of all the work I did hehe but I do really want to reorganize (and honestly just take a trip down memory lane because there are some oooold abandoned drafts in here, hehehee.) anyway thank you for sending this to me even tho I am so late responding!!

also the softer the sponge/flannel you use on your face the absolute better!! buy a new one as regularly as possible and wash pillowcase once a week! i know that sounds weird but i honestly noticed my acne was less severe when i got into that habit - but i could be telling you things you are already well aware of haha!

Yeah I’ve heard about that too. At home, sure. They also recommend using paper towels since you use them and then throw them away.

It can be tricky at the dorms tho. For me, at the rented apartment that I go back to once uni starts. I’m home only once a week, so I can only bring a new towel once a week 3 I think they should be changed like every 2 days or something?
