Death tendency talk below the cut. (I'm fine, I promise.)

I don't think my depression in general is getting worse, but.... mental health is not doing well. I'm just not used to the death tendencies without the wallowing in self-pity. For weeks I keep thinking of how I would divide up my money in a will. I am not terminally ill and have no desire to die I don't know why I keep thinking about this. In high school I would like.... write a playlist in my notes of music to play at my funeral, but I wanted to be dead a lot more frequently then.

The like, magical coma/Sleeping Beauty in the park "bedtime story" has been making a lot more appearances lately when I'm trying to put myself to sleep without my phone. I mean, it's a step up from the "maybe I won't wake up" bedtime story, but that one was usually only employed when I was really stressed out with school and dreading the morning and like, wasn't just dealing with insomnia but was additionally too anxious to sleep and needed the 0.01% chance that the morning wouldn't come to pass to relax enough.

Part of it is the poor sleep. Part of it is social media (as my Twitter app has stopped working I've seemed to have replaced it with Facebook and holy shit is that even worse). Part of it is my living situation, although that's been unchanged my entire life. Part of it is the entire world, which is also not new but one of the current genocides is (rightfully) receiving a lot of attention and it's a US election year which is (wrongly) receiving a lot of attention.

I think a big part of it is pain. Dear fuck am I so tired of being in pain.

To be clear I don't wanna die and I certainly don't want to kill myself. But I keep catching myself thinking about being dead more frequently than I have since I considered myself depressed (2008~2019) and a little wistfully.

But ok picture this, you were tenderly washing and untangling his hair. And because it felt so comforting to have you playing with his hair, Muichiro ended up falling asleep.

After he fell asleep you give him a gentle peck on the forehead then sat and leaned your head against him.

He then woke up to find you sound asleep.

Muichiro would carry you back to the house you were staying in in the swordsmith village and help you get cleaned up.

Aaaaand you would wake up realising you were in Muichiro’s bed with him cuddling you from behind :)

Mitsuri

Let’s all be real here, you both would be flustered seeing each other in the hot spring.

“KYAAAAAAAAAAH! It’s our first time soaking in a hot spring together! Isn’t this exciting??!”

You both would be chatting endlessly the whole time while you were soaking.

While Mitsuri was ranting about food or cats, your eyes would dart between her fern green eyes and her b a d o n k e r s I know you would you little perverts

Yea there were definitely a ton lot of ranting about random things.

After having a nice long relaxing soak in the hot spring, you and Mitsuri would have a nice meal.

Genya

The poor boy would be painted red all over and be frozen in place as soon as you showed up.

You would be talking to him, asking how his day was, or whether he ate dinner already. But he would be too flustered to even open his mouth and talk to you.

You being intimate with him obviously did not help.

Tracing the scars that decorated his body is a must.

Throughout the whole time you both were soaking, the only thing anyone could hear was you happily ranting about random stuff, like what you wanted to eat for dinner.

After soaking, you would help Genya clean up. Because, well, the whole time Genya is too flustered to do anything.

Since he doesn’t usually go eat with everybody else during dinner, you would eat with him in his room.

You like seeing his soft side don’t you :)

Nezuko-chan

Nezuko is a fun and happy little girl, so I for sure know you both would be playing around in the hot spring

The both of you would splash water at each other, chase each other around the hot spring etc.

You would be playing with Nezuko like an elder sibling

Speaking of siblings, bring big brother Tanjiro too next time, Nezuko would be overjoyed to soak with her favourite two people in the world

Acts like he doesn’t like you, but he does. Tough guy act.

Atleast around his brothers. There’s just something about you that makes him a itty bitty lot softer.

But be prepared for him to push you when it comes to stuff like training or improving any of your skills.

Even if your interests or skills are ‘stupid’ he still pushed you, he’s always very encouraging.

Finds it odd the way his brothers act around you, like they like you. Reminds him of his romance books.

Kinda jealous when he caught on, but he’s now just showing off in his fighting, showing and teaching you all these cool moves.

Very supportive as always, pushed you and helps you even if he knows nothing of what he’s helping you with.

Mf is soft for you, especially in private. But like not soft as you’d expect all the time. Soft for you in the way he’s constantly giving you supportive and encouraging words. soft for you in the way he admires and respects all that you do.

You got special treatment april gets in canon. But like a lot more toned down (rewatching 2012 and I question my sanity each time we get some apriltello-)

You get early access vip treatment with new inventions!! You get subjected to his rambles about inventions, fandom fun facts, just his ramblings in general.

Donnie would research into all the stuff you like to get a bunch if fun facts to try and impress you.

If you’re like April and join in the fight, he’s protective of you. Or well in general. But not to a degree is like really over protective, like he knows you can hold your own but he’s always watching your back whenever enemies get to close.

Makes you things, especially if they’re useful or related to your interests.

I don’t think he notices much the way his brothers act, but he might catch on quicker to others and get a bit jealous.

Always trying to include you in his work, whether it’s studying something or an experiment. Well the non dangerous ones. He cares to much for your safety.

He would take you out on rides in the shellraiser if you ask or convince him enough.

(He will not admit it but he has a lot of fun when you do, relaxing a lot more.

The real simp of the family. Little giddy over anything you do to help him around in his lab or just in general.

Yall don’t cuddle 1 on 1 often, he’s too busy in his lab or out on missions. But on the times you do manage to pull him away from his work!

In away he tries to show off too, in a way he makes you things, in a way he just he’s his regular old goofy self we all love.

Skateboarding tricks done, even the hardest ones to learn. Mikey tries to come up with a skateboard trick to name after you even if it already exists you don’t say anything.

Will (attempt) making you anything you want to eat.

Especially your favorite foods!

Oh and if you have a dish from your culture that is your childhood favorite. You teach him it and it’ll be one of the things he remembers by heart.

He tells and comes up with jokes just for you. Laughing at them because he saves his funniest ones for you.

He does not see himself being different or weird. He’s just unapologetically Mikey and we love him for that. Calls out his brothers on it but them just being the brothers they are and gang up on him bout it.

Finds out what jokes you like and tells those like 99% of the time.

Really affectionate but like he’s always like that.

He would totally make you both costumes of your favorite show, yes I imagine he a very good designer with the right materials.

Idk much in what to add besides Mikey is literally just himself (except x10).

The frequent cuddler, yall cuddle just about anywhere and everywhere.

It’s just been accepted that 99% of the time if you aren’t on his brothers time then you and Mikey are cuddling.

Very excitable and loves hearing about your day.

Very creative dates, arts and crafts, he’ll cook something and play it as a fancy restaurant (he absolutely does it when his brothers ask because he enjoys it.) You both probably go on walks around the sewer and graffiti things! or he graffiti’s things while you watch.

Pulls pranks on you lovingly, just cause you’re dating doesn’t mean he won’t.

Oh but you both absolutely pull pranks on his brothers though.

Just be ready to run and hide.

He likes gifting you art pieces.

Likes herring what his brothers do for you! Gives him ideas that he can make in to his own.

Doesn’t like when your sick, gets worried but brings you things to try and cheer you up. You appreciate the laughs and giggles.

Ah, Thoma? You don't even need to ask. he's already part of the family!

the safest option, really. they already considered him family long before your heart started fluttering around the househelper.

"well, it's honestly about time. ayaka and i have long noticed your affections for thoma," ayato smirks as you two turn red, "don't think i don't know what's going on in my own household, do you?"

not much would change after having your relationship official; thoma might be the only one to experience the change in people's treatment of him as the three kamisatos encourage him to be more proud in his status!

"we're going to get married, don't let people trample over you like that!" you pout. surprisingly enough, thoma is quick to adjust to a "noble behavior" while still keeping his friendly boyish charms.

thoma might be the only one a little more open to the idea. sure, he's sad but he respects your choice and who you love.

"Mondstadt is a great place. I'm sure it'll be a home for you, just like how Inazuma became a home for me."

ayato is more or less suspicious. "I've heard... rumors," he says carefully, "That man is suspicious to say the least. I'm not sure I trust him."

all in all, with how closed off inazuma seems to be, the kamisatos would be most reluctant to send you off to another nation for some solitary man with a questionable schedule.

you really don't need him -your siblings would try to convince you- he has money? the kamisatos have money too. he's someone of rank? so does your siblings. what do you mean you love him so much?

In fact, Ayato would go on a thorough investigation about exactly what the harbinger has been up to. From the incident in liyue to the homicidal tendencies.

unless you decide to elope, there's no way your siblings would give their blessing.

the scribe of the academia is a fine man, but some call him a... lunatic.

this one is a 50/50.

admittedly, your siblings are content with his status and background. he works under sumeru's government, just like the kamisatos, and was nominated for the highest ranking position only second to an archon.

he works rationally too! smart and efficient. that's great— but why is he such a blunt smartass?

Throughout the meeting with him, Ayato has a plastered smile on his face. Each conversation seems like a landmine, waiting to explode, trying to best the other with words.

Ayaka is more or less nervously sweating beside them, but you suppose you're glad that they're getting along!

G O R O U

oh? the general of watatsumi? an interesting choice!

ayato considers it a political win. with the kamisato name tied together with the general of watatsumi island, this could lead to better peace relations! and the kamisatos would be the head of it all.

being a general is no easy task, thats something ayato could greatly respect. meanwhile, ayaka and gorou are already familiar friends!

it's a little sad that watatsumi is on another island, but at least you get to stay in inazuma! you're also happy that you get to contribute to inazumas progressive politics as part of the kamisato household, living up to your duty.

K A Z U H A

the wandering samurai. . . ? are you sure?

while a good friend of the kamisato household, kazuha has already left the noble lifestyle of the kaedeharas.

it's not that your siblings want you to marry into nobility, it's just that they'll feel more comfortable if you were in a familiar environment.

meanwhile, kazuha is constantly on the move, never staying at one place. they trust him immensely but are you sure you're up for that change?

kazuha is a good choice, but a worrisome one nonetheless.

Nicknames: They don't have much nicknames, however friends that know Fornax well enough can call them "Lily" (Delmira especially calls them that, this is because of their association with the flower), otherwise only Ryss gets to call her sea puppy or treasure

Age: 37 (by Endwalker)

Nameday: 5th Sun of the 1st Umbral Moon

Race: Sea Wolf Roegadyn + Xaela Au Ra (au roe, if you will. tehe)

Gender: Non-binary Butch (she/they)

Orientation: Lesbian

Profession: Outside of WoL responsibilities... bodyguard and marksman

P H Y S I C A L A S P E C T S

Hair: Black with a bunch of grey hairs. If it's short, it's spiky and either has the sides and the lower back of it shaved down, or they have their sideburns. If it's longer, then it's generally messy and uneven with a "wild" look.

Eyes: Black sclera, slit pupils, and vibrant orange. Fornax's eyes only glow because their dad taught them how to apply limbal rings when she was young, but never learned how to accurately do it (or when to stop doing it, until there was a full glow) after his death.

Skin: Dark grey, has a black gradient starting at their forearms and goes all the way to their hands. Has a fair amount of scales, though some are broken and ripped off around scars.

Tattoos/scars: Decorated in scars all over their face and body, but the most notable ones are on their face, neck, and torso. Some of her face scars are from saving a coeurl kit from hunters, and briefly got mauled by its mother when returning it (they understood the protective instinct, but OUCH). The scars across their neck and chest was an incident that put them at deaths door, and then a large scar on their side is from... WELL. Ryss. :) Don't worry about it :)

Very important: their top scars!! Those tits: chopped off. Also the end of their tail (that doesn't have the top layer of thick scales) has a bite scar from the Major-General, no one believes them when they say a tiny shark with tiny legs bit them while fishing.

Fornax has a very subtle trail of faint orange stars on their back for a tattoo!

F A M I L Y

Parents: Unnamed Roegadyn mother & Xaela father. Her mom was a traveling merchant of sorts, while her dad was part of the Dotharl clan. Unfortunately, both were murdered while Fornax was young... :')

Siblings: No siblings

Grandparents: N/A (I don't think that far with family LOL)

In-laws and Other: No idea about in-laws, but for other: their lovely spouse, Ryssrael!!! :)

Pets: Befriends every stray and animal that they cross, but specifically, they have a little black coeurl and a baby amaro that follow them around.

S K I L L S

Abilities: Very skilled with a rifle and axes of any kind (WAR/MCH combo), though they are in their best element when within melee range. Weaponizes their teeth, claws, and tail as often as they can, and wields terrifying, brutal strength that amplifies when angered or under a need to win and/or survive. Best not to piss off a butch who could pull an entire ship with just them and their partner!!

Hobbies: LOVES cooking and all kinds of hands-on crafts, but specifically knitting and crocheting.

After a while.... yes they indeed remembered the lesson and eventually stopped bickering.

They summerized the lesson for you and explained the concept of the lesson. You were then able to answer all the questions which they checked.

"There all done!" Noya happily said while Ryu was having his moment being the best senpai ever.

You were relieved and thanked them after. You also offered to get them ice cream next time you bump into each other to thank them for helping you (Literally ATE UP your free time from all that bickering T.T nevertheless, you were grateful)

He would be the one to approach you since he noticed you were having a hard time since the morning recess. Brows furrowed while you were scanning your note book.

You were on the verge of crying for being frustrated at not understanding the lesson. He noticed it and patted your back as he smiled at you warmly.

A COMFORT PERSON FR (he's such a sunshine)

Makes you calm down first so that you'd be able to clear your mind for you to understand the lesson completely.

"How are you feeling? Do you feel calm now? Don't worry, anything can be learned. Don't pressure yourself too much, you just have to give yourself enough time to learn it okay? Let yourself be a beginner too."

You smile warmly at his words. He seems to always know what to say to make a person calm down.

He explained the concept to you as simple as he can and gave you an outline of the lesson so that you have a guide.

He bought you your comfort food to help calm your nerves and walked you back to your classroom cause he was worried.

"Just approach me if you need tutoring okay? Your mental health matters, don't be too hard on yourself. Don't doubt yourself and your capabilities, you are an amazing person who is also capable of making mistakes. You're human too."

You hugged him as you felt how sincere he was and he patted your back.

Grandparents: Long dead, likely insufferable judging by how their children turned out.

A’vyra is the nearest thing to a friend she has outside the House. Not that Prudence would ever utter such a thing aloud.

The rest of the House’s odd assortment of characters are kept at a distance. Prudence is fully aware of her prickly personality and the strength of her bite. These things serve her well; she will not dull them to appease others, so she does not let others in. For their own good, of course.

Pets: No. Prudence technically owns a Chocobo, a gift from her Lady, but Bird is not a pet. Bird is a stalwart companion.

Abilities: Prudence is a capable young woman. A skilled machinist with a sharp eye it is rare for her to miss. She knows her carbine better than the skin of her hands, knows the bark of it as her voice.

Her duties as a retainer have sent Prudence to the far corners of many maps. She’s resourceful for all the traveling, with a genuine willingness to embrace local customs. She can chameleon her way through social situations; smoothing the barbs of her generally terrible personality and avoiding unnecessary conflict on the road.

Their body has a number of scars earned through years of combat before their first death, plus torture marks clustered over their back.

Cold nights and even colder blades. That was your life, and that was how you were intending on keeping it. The rush of adrenaline, the pain you caused onto those who caused pain, and the quick, quiet way you slipped into the houses to attack--it was all special. It was something you needed, much more than drugs, much more than water, much more than the world.

It was gruesome work, yet you admired the way you performed. Every day was different, every night was, too. There was no telling how a cleansing would go before it was performed, and that kind of variable was interesting enough to keep you going.

Your life was difficult, to say the least. Broken. You thought of yourself as an incomplete puzzle, and every cleansing you performed, you were adding yet another piece. Finishing yourself, slowly. You had no idea what you'd do when you completed the puzzle--or if you'd ever complete it.

You were a high school student--a junior. Seventeen years old, and you had nothing to show for it save for a few lockets and birthday cards from relatives you were pretty sure you hadn't seen since you were six. You had a job--a shitty job, but a job, and a hobby that you could argue was helping people. You helped pay the bills. You helped buy groceries. You helped take care of your younger siblings.

Yet, the only thing you'd actually impacted was through violence.

It made you feel empty, in a way. That wasn't to say that you weren't, but it made you realize that you'd never get famous for anything you could actually, legally, take credit for. You were forever to be the mysterious force weeding out the worst kinds of people from society, your presences always on the outskirts, your name mentioned in hushed whispers across worried parents and your title slathered onto the front page of newspapers. The Killer's Killer--that was your name. As lazy as it was, it was a title. Nobody gave titles to worthless killers.

You felt yourself breathe more deeply as you continued your walk home. California was a hotspot for serial killers--it was no surprise that there was another one in its midst, but the only thing the press couldn't figure out was why. It annoyed you, to a certain extent--could they not see the pieces of shit you were eliminating from society?

You were almost home--a shabby house that contained a much shabbier interior. Your mother had gotten the house from her mother's will--and as shitty as it was, it allowed for her children to go to a decent public school, which was why you were there.

You considered yourself lucky. You had the smallest room, but it was yours. Your two sisters shared the larger room, and your parents had the finished attic as theirs. It was a tight fit for a family of five, but you made it work. You had to.

You unlocked the front door with your key, slipping quietly inside. Your parents didn't really care about your nightly activities--not since you'd gotten your license. Besides, you were partly the reason why they still had a roof over their heads--they had nothing to hold over you without losing something much more valuable.

You had a small amount of blood on your pants, and you discarded them into your hamper with little thought. Your room was plain, save for a few walls of various weapons, and a giant poster with a picture of a cat with three eyes.

No knock at your door. A quiet house. You considered yourself lucky. You had everything you could've asked for. Life was better now that you were out of the shithole you were raised in. The scars of that could be worn on your mind, but you were safe with the knowledge it would never happen again.

If it happened again, it was certain to be a death sentence.
