आचार्य राममनोहर मिश्रा बताते हैं कि यह शब्द विष्णुचंद्र गुप्ता के मुंह से निकले जिन्होंने आंदोलन को धार देने का काम किया "सौगंध राम की खाते है, हम मंदिर वही बनाएंगे " इन शब्दो को विष्णीचंद्र गुप्ता ने उसी रात काव्य के रूप मैं नई जान दी जो आगे चल के प्रसिद्ध हुई जिसका पाठ संघ के कई कार्यक्रमों मैं किया गया।
