logically i know that dean stopped going out and hooking up with people so much in the later seasons because a) the writers didn't want to write that and b) dean was having a *nick nelson voice* proper full-on gay crisis. but like. it WOULD be funny if he really was trying to hook up with people but cas just kept cockblocking him in the most bizarre ways. extra points if cas showed up at the bar and flirted his way into having sex with dean's prospects in his place just so dean wouldn't. like dean leaves for a moment to get another beer or something and cas just materializes out of nowhere and is like I Would Like To Have Sexual Relations With You and because he looks Like That™ the women are like. Okay! Sure! and when dean gets back they're gone and he's too drunk to find someone else so he just goes back to the motel and falls asleep.

Oh my god the next part came Super Fast let's GET IT
Tumblr media
They way he told them to sit. Hi ! hey. Okay i'm sitting.
Damn the Bennetts tried to get other Houses to join the endeavor about CloseKnit. Good riddance then.
William didn't "banish" Porter after his scuffle with Vincent, just a convenient way of him doing his job with less suspicion ? Since he techincally wasn't "affiliated" with House Solaire anymore ?
William ordered PORTER to do it all ? Using the Summit as a way to carry out a "Favor" for another House in the Council ? Seizing the assets of the House of Bennett in the outcome ??
Holy fuck, just how powerful is Porter. That whole murder/alibi plan of his is Wild.
Okay William not wanting to wait around for another 1500 lives lost to get eyes pointed on House Bennett and get the ball rolling. That's a slay. I get it.
I'm with Vincent, What's the logic of all of this !! This "Game" is confusing !!
What is William's part in this !! What is he doing right now !!
I don't blame Vincent for "seeing in black and white" in this moment ! His world is actively crashing down around him, everyone he trusts is in on Something but Him and Lovely (maybe Sam, who knows), and it's out of NOWHERE ! If this didn't happen, who knows how long this would have been hidden from him ! He has the right to be upset about it !!
William thinks of Vincent as his actual child, loves him like a son :( enough to not want his hands dirty. Knowing that he shouldn't have turned him, his biggest regret, saying what he did to Vincent was wrong..... I actively had to pause and cry on the floor for a good five minutes.
GREAT Reminder from Porter that William isn't a Saint. He doesn't have to be ! He is still a good man, who does good things !!!!! The ways that these results are obtained is rather questionable, but what comes from it cannot be denied !!
He took Porter in and gave him a new life, showed him unending kindess. That's how you obtain allies !! Bonds that truly matter !!! All the things William feels for those in his House are genuine !!!!!!!! He cares for all of them so deeply !!!!!!!!!
The circumstances of Porter's turning is very interesting. Turned by a Mass Maker, constantly invocated and used for his powers in a way he had no say in. Running and Running until he found William, who cleaned him up and mentored him on his powers. That's very nice :(
I'm glad Porter understands that the experience he had was not universal. I'm glad he has the perspective of Vincent's, and i'm glad Vincent has the perspective of Porter's.
---
Overall, I'm very glad that the Two of them (Three, since Lovely sat in on it) had that talk. It was definitely not the most pleasant or comfortable, given the circumstances, but it was absolutely Needed.
And if anything, it's a step in the right direction for both Porter and Vincent. They learned a little bit more about (and from) each other during this whole Event. They may have wildly vast differences, jarringly so. But there is something inside of both of them that is so strikingly similar to me, even if I can't put a finger on it. I don't expect them to be Best Friends after this, but hopefully they have some level of understanding with each other after this. And maybe become the slightest bit nicer to each other, even if it takes a while.
(I see why William wanted Shaw Pack there, since they were all looking into CloseKnit. He let them see some evidence to get DUMP on the ball, as well as some actual justice for the Inversion. But geez, that could have gone bad !)
----
This was a GREAT audio. Poor Vincent and Lovely. They deserve a LONG fuckin' break after all is said and done. Please let them be happy for ONCE lmfao.
Still love you with my life Porter I'll do anything for you by the way.

Starfleet Year One by Michael Jan Friedman
It is becoming clear to me that the optimum length for a Star Trek novel is around 300 pages. Long enough to tell a story, and short enough to not be cumbersome. This one was interesting, not belonging to any particular Star Trek Series, but instead being unrelated to any on screen character. Let's get into it!
The Author
I wanted to look a little bit into this author because this is his debut on this blog! It appears it won't be his last as he has written a massive number of tie in novels for Trek (around 30 or so). He has also written for a variety of different properties including X-Men, Lara Croft, and Alien. He also co-wrote a Voyager episode ("Resistance" which I remember enjoying quite greatly). His website doesn't contain any really personal details about him that I could find.
The Summary
Okay first we have to get something kind of confusing clear. This book was written and published at least 4 years before Enterprise was airing. The note at the beginning says that this originally was published serially and then expanded and compiled into this novel, so that means that it doesn't line up with the plots of the other books I have read so far. It takes place at the end of the Romulan War (which we just saw in The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm). The final battle takes place at Cheron. This is where we were for tRW:tBtS, so that got me wondering if that was a nod to this book made by Martin or what. Some digging on the Memory Alpha says it was mentioned in ENT as the end of the war, so the only logical conclusion is that the thought originated here and was put into the show and then in tRW:tBtS! Which is so cool and fun. Back to the main point, I am going to consider this a like companion piece to what may have been happening while Archer was doing his own thing. The names of all the Federation representatives are different but oh well! I can hold two truths in my head.
Okay real summary time. On Earthbase 14 we meet Shumar, the current head honcho, his security officer Kelly, Corabyn who is a Rigelian running cargo, and Dane who is a Cochrane pilot running protections for him. They fight of a little Romulan attack. Shortly afterward Six Earth Defense captains go to Cheron in order to put on a final offensive against the Romulans. One doesn't make it but the rest of them get the job done. Some of them are then all tapped to be the beginning of Starfleet after the Federation is created.
It is very clear the fledgling Starfleet needs some soul searching and parameter setting on what it's mission is. They tap three military personas (Matsura, Stiles, and Hagedorn) and three civilian perspectives (Dane, Shumar, and Corabyn) to be Starfleet's first captains. The next generation of ships is being built with the USS Daedalus the first to be ready, and only one of them is going to be in the captain's chair. Whoever gets picked truly sets the tone for the rest of Starfleet, military or science, that's the question.
The captains get their crews together (that need to have an alien quota). They are given current Chrisopher class ships to start getting Starfleet's name out there in the federation. They make decisions more or less along party lines while they are out there, but some of the science minded folk get military experience. The military captains disregard their crew's want to explore and discover. Lot's of tension all around. The captain's run into each other a few times and express (civilly) their different opinions. Corabyn tries to seduce Kelly (for the second time, he tried at the very beginning of the book too).
They are called to the Orieas system as there are human colonies there that recently experienced an attack. The military folk go in there guns blazing looking for the attackers and trying to destroy them. The Starfleet vessels appear to be outmatched by the unknown attackers. Matsura and Shumar figure out the these are the descendants of ancient inhabitants to these world that are upset the colonists disturbed some burials. They find a peaceful solution, and then Matsura is named captain of the Daedalus, but it is clear that they are a team now, bringing different backgrounds to a common goal. Starfleet will have fire power, but pursue peace and science as primary missions.
My Thoughts
I thought this one was great! Characters well defined even though none of them are on screen friends. I was concerned that it was going to feel like these characters were forgettable, but they were each distinct enough that they were memorable. My favorite of the captain's was Corabyn. At some point it is told to him that he only got the job because he was an alien who tolerated and wanted to work with humans. He understood that was the logic behind his placement, but was excited about the opportunity because of his optimism and curiosity. His flirtations with Kelly were also very fun and good.
The conflict was very clear from the beginning, brains vs brawn. There were big power players in the higher ups that each had their reasons for wanting one or the other. I was excited to see how Friedman got us to the Star Trek I know and love. One of exploration and peace seeking. I like thinking of how you go from a military to an organization like this because that is a pivot that we will have to make as a society.
In terms of writing style I enjoyed Friedman's blunt prose as opposed to Martin's more flowery prose. I am excited to see what he does in more established Trek.
I give Starfleet Year One 8/10! Next up is back into Enterprise with Rise of the Federation: A Choice of Futures by Christopher L. Bennett.

Part 4 - Basic Concepts of Miraculous Ladybug: Glamour
You can call it however you want: kid's show logic, superhero disguise logic, magical girl show logic, cartoon laws, suspension of disbelief, etc. But the fact that nobody recognises Marinette, Adrien and others when they are suited up IS NOT BAD WRITING. It's one of the main laws of this genre. That's not because characters are stupid, okay? So, being frustrated that everyone in the show acts stupid about this "wearing a mask that covers only eyes" trope is strange. This criticism is not valid or fair.
Tumblr media
But, this trope has to make sense in-universe as a worldbuilding and narrative element.
Miraculous doesn't give us much direct information on how glamour works. And in this case, I think we need both SHOW and TELL. Because if you don't establish the glamour rules clearly, you are going to run into problems and create unfortunate implications with your storytelling choices.
Appearance
Miraculous obviously gives our heroes magical glamour. In "Lady WiFi" we find out that masks can't be taken off. It's magic. No other explanation is needed.
Miraculous can slightly change the appearance of users (eyes, face shape, height and hairstyles). People can identify and notice the hairstyles of heroes (numerous Ladybug wigs, statue in Copycat). Jagged Stone points out the change of hair when he mistakes Chloe for Ladybug ("Antibug"). But it's just a costume. There is no magic that prevents Jagged from understanding that Chloe isn't Ladybug. So, how does it work? But it's forgivable because it's cartoon logic. Suspension of disbelief works here, I suppose. I won't judge this too harshly.
Glamour also obviously prevents people from making a connection that Marinette and Ladybug have identical hairstyles. So people know that Ladybug wears her hair in pigtails, but magic does not allow them to notice similarities.
Another important question. Does glamour work on Kwamis? Can they see who is behind the mask?
New York Special makes it clear that magic does not affect robots and they can see through glamour. Does that mean that Markov, AI built by Max, knows the identities of Ladybug and Chat Noir? And it's never addressed.
Plagg in "Frightningale" says that holders can subconsciously choose their superhero appearance. This is actually pretty interesting and I like this idea a lot. Except the show is not consistent with this. The transformation of Master Fu looks identical to Nathalie's. And we have seen how different from each other Ladybug and Black Cat holders looked in the past. At the same time, Master Fu and Nino have different takes on Turtle superhero suit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Age Glamour
Does age glamour exist? Do people see Ladybug, Chat Noir and other heroes as adults even when they look like teenagers to the audience (their height and build are smaller even when they are transformed)? Is that why no one ever questions the fact that children nearly die on a daily basis?
I mentioned unfortunate implications earlier. Well, this is where they come into play. Let's talk about "Copycat". A lot of people discussed it before me, so I won't bore you with details.
Tumblr media
When I watched "Copycat" for the first time Theo's crush on Ladybug didn't bother me, because I thought that he sees Ladybug as his peer, a girl who is about 20-23 years old. Theo is an artist, his character design is that of an adult. He has his own studio, its appearance indicates that he did serious commissions in the past. The guy has no idea that Ladybug is like 13.
Tumblr media
But then we get "Heroes' Day" and "Ladybug". And Hawkmoth calls them "kids", which means that there is no age glamour. Others see Ladybug and Chat Noir as teenagers. Perhaps, other Miraculous users aren't affected by age glamour. Therefore regular people see all heroes as adults but other heroes are able to guess their age more or less correctly. But you must spell this thing out because the audience can interpret "Copycat" differently. If there is no age glamour, then Theo is crushing on a teenage girl and he is fully aware of this fact. And this doesn't look good for your show.
The "No Age Glamour" theory is further confirmed in "Sapotis" where Alya just straight up analyses voice recordings and says that Ladybug is a girl their age. If glamour exists then it should also cover technology. Kwami can't be photographed. Face and voice recognition software shouldn't be able to analyse transformed superheroes and detect their identities in any way.
Besides, after "Sapotis" Alya should definitely be sure that Ladybug is not 5000 years old (also not an adult), especially after she wore Miraculous herself and was one door away from detransformed Ladybug.
SEASON 4 UPDATE! There's no age glamour after all.
Tumblr media
In "Furious Fu" Su Han calls Chat Noir a child without knowing his identity. It means that everyone knows their superheroes are teenagers. "Copycat" can't be saved from that, uh, subtext anymore. No one questions the danger of their job or the balance of their lives outside of the mask. No one doubts their competence after "Origins" ever again. No one becomes annoyed after being bossed around by two teenagers in spandex. You had many opportunities to drop these details into the narrative. Someone could have been akumatized over this (I will not be ordered around by some magical kids!).
I don't know why writers decided not to use at least this idea and slightly adjust "Copycat" if they got rid of the age glamour completely. It can be explained as kid's show logic, but unfortunately, I'm reluctant to do it. If many characters sympathise with akuma victims on-screen, why not with the teenage superheroes who must fight them?
New York Special had this weird focus on collateral damage out of nowhere (the damage done by sentimonster Robostus) and yet it has 0 effect on the main story. No one in Paris is pissed that their 2 teenage protectors weren't there.
Ironically, "Furious Fu" and that one remark made by Su Han also created unfortunate implications for other moments in the show. Just hear me out. Apparently, Jagged Stone wrote a "thank you" song for Ladybug knowing that she is 13-15 year old child back in "Pixelator". Fandom is more than happy to roast Lila for lying about saving Jagged Stone's cat and him writing her a "thank you" song. Fandom claims that Lila's tale could harm Jagged's reputation, when he wrote a song for teenage Ladybug several weeks prior. Meanwhile, in-universe this lie is 100% believable.
If we put on "realism glasses", then both this whole song situation and Theo's crush in "Copycat" have uncomfortable implications. However, the show's canon can't be viewed and criticised through "realism glasses". I admit that bits and pieces of my criticisms are affected by these "glasses", but, ultimately, I'm trying to be fair and concentrate only on things that can't be justified by "cartoon logic and worldbuilding".
Could the existence of age glamour solve this problem of unfortunate implications and other concerns mentioned above? YES. Is it better for the narrative? YES. Is essential for the story? NOT QUITE. Could the absence of age glamour be called an irredeemable storytelling flaw? NO.
Disclaimer: On a side note, only older audience can notice these implications. Children, the target audience, most likely won't understand this subtext simply because they don't have enough experience. So, perhaps, this criticism is unfair, because these moments only look weird to me as an adult. It's like an adult joke in a cartoon that you don't get until you reach a certain age.
There's nothing technically wrong with adult writing a "thank you" song for a teenager. It's just an expression of gratitude. However, unfortunately, we live in a world, where adults normally wouldn't write songs for teens to express gratitude only. In real life similar actions would imply pedophilia and would be actively scorned by the public. No one would risk their reputation like that even if their intentions were genuinely pure and sincere. But this show can't be viewed through "realism glasses", because it's a cartoon and in certain cases we as the audience must use suspension of disbelief and pretend that certain things are possible for plot to happen.
Su Han also wants to give Ladybug and Black Cat to adults. Why didn't Master Fu do this then? Writers don't give us any explanation. Throughout the show we never question this up until the moment it's revealed that adults don't have time-limited powers. Then comes "Furious Fu". Story suddenly becomes self-aware here. Because apparently nothing prevented Fu from giving the most powerful Miraculous to adults who won't have time limit and will be more effective against Hawkmoth (see part 3 for more details).
I have a very good example of Age Glamour done right. It works in the story. There is no confusion or unfortunate implications. There is like one plothole connected to the glamour (it's been years and I still can't forgive them for Cornelia and Caleb) but otherwise, it's a pretty solid example of both show and tell. Clearly, writers wanted to avoid uncomfortable implications which are present in "Copycat". I am talking about W.I.T.C.H. comic books and animated series.
If you are not familiar with it, I'll give you a brief explanation. The story follows 5 girls, the Guardians of Kandrakar who are chosen to protect their world and parallel ones from evil. They receive magical powers from the amulet known as the Heart of Kandrakar. Their powers are based on elements: fire, water, earth, air and energy. Our main characters are about 13-15 years old. In the animated series they are younger and they attend middle school, making them 12-14 years old. But the transformation makes them look 18-20. They look like young women to each other and to other people. At the same time, people can recognise them, their looks and voice don't change. Most people don't know that they are really teenagers when they are not transformed and these people don't know that magic can make them look older. That's why everyone treats Guardians like adults when they are transformed. Comics establish this fact in the very beginning. In first issues characters state that they look older, we are also shown this multiple times.
Tumblr media
In fact, one of the first side plots revolves around the fact that Irma uses her powers to sneak into the disco club to meet up with her crush. Irma is 13 at the beginning of the series, she is a high school freshman. Her crush, Andrew Hornby is a senior guy 17-18 years old. Irma has liked him for a long time and wants to impress him, so she decides to be clever about this. She transforms into her Guardian form of the 18-year-old girl, hides her wings, sneaks out to the club after her parents are asleep without any problem, and meets Andrew, who obviously doesn't recognise Irma in this girl who looks about his age. Smitten Andrew offers her a ride and 13-year-old Irma doesn't understand the implication of that offer, so she accepts. And, obviously, he decides that she is interested in more than just a ride home, since she agreed, and the comic implies that he fully intended for them to have sex in the backseat of his car. But Irma understands the implication only when Andrew tries to kiss her. She panics and turns him into a frog. And she actually pulls this "I need to look mature" trick more than once over the course of the series.
It's not the only situation where this age difference is handled well and makes sense. People who know the main characters in everyday life remark on their older appearance during transformation. Sometimes people flirt with Guardians when they are transformed. In one of the side-novels centred around Cornelia, she is worried that the prince of the realm they helped to save from famine would try to marry her. That never happens, but Cornelia actually brainstorms with her friends about how to tell the prince that she is really 15.
There are many other plot points where this happens, but I think that you got the idea. I really like how "Age Glamour" was handled in W.I.T.C.H.
How do we fix this? Create the situations where people offhandedly mention "Age Glamour" in the presence of Marinette or Adrien, use Kwami for this.
"Don't worry, dear. Chat Noir and Ladybug are adults, who know what they are doing. I am sure that they will handle this. "
Theo could say: "Oh, I wonder which university Ladybug goes to?"
"So, does that mean that other people see us as grown-ups, Tikki?"
A few words and boom, problem solved. Then allow the "show don't tell" rule do the rest.

How do you cope with Steve's completely out of character actions in Endgame? And by coping I mean have you ever tried to come up with some kind of logical explanation not to justify, but at least to try to explain them? Because it's been two years since Endgame came out and I'm still wracking my mind about certain scenes, trying to come up with a logical explanation for all of them. For example, the one at the very beginning where they're going to space to kill Thanos and Steve had to look, of all things, at that goddamned compass (I've never held so much contempt for an inanimate object); again, during that therapy session meant for people who lost loved ones in the Snap, and he just went and talked about Peggy, and I want to know, why? Or him telling Natasha that maybe "it doesn't need to be done" and how is that actually Steve Rogers? And I'm not even going to talk about the ending, because well... I don't think they'll ever retcon that ending, but if they do I'm rooting for the Skrull theory.
Oh, I forgot to say, I'm not talking about the deliberate writing choices, I'm talking more from a fictional standpoint.
How do I cope-
Tbh I don’t?
I never understood why fans could go so mental over certain directors (all this fuss about whatsisface and Star Wars, for example). Until Endgame.
I’ve never left a cinema before feeling like I hated one of my favourite characters, re-evaluating everything they’ve done before as if maybe I’d misread them and they’d been a douchebag all along. It was absolutely gutting in a way that shocked me.
So I just don’t watch it; Steve’s isn’t the only character assassinated, after all. Thor’s portrayal was actually nasty (I’m not a fan of Ragnarok either, for how much it took the piss of or destroyed; I want Asgard back!) And there’s a scene where Tony is asked to save trillions of lives and he just says no?! WTF?? Steve giving Sam the shield was the only thing it did right and even that frankly, as we’ve seen in FATWS, was a poison chalice.
.
BUT
you didn't ask how shitty I think it is (we ain’t got all day) you asked how I'd explain it so:
Some possibilities...
.
1. Steve is a Skrull.
Steve had a breakdown after Infinity War but still didn’t want to be seen to let his remaining friends down so he hired and trained a skrull to imitate him. Maybe he went to live somewhere else, maybe he put himself into cryo. This opens up the problems of how he know what a skrull is, and how he made one imitate him.
Maybe it wasn’t Steve himself who hired them but someone else? Fury? Or maybe someone else kidnapped Steve, shut him into a cryo unit, and put the skrull in his place, with a view to abusing Steve’s power in the snapped world...
.
2. Steve is some other supersoldier wearing a Steve nanomask.
Again, hired to impersonate Steve for some reason and not very good at it and raises the question of why.
.
and my personal fave:
3. Steve is Loki.
Ours isn’t the universe in which we beat Thanos.
In our universe, Steve turns to dust along with half the world.
But, all the wizardly timelines show that the Snap can only be undone, and the stones restored to their rightful places, by a team which includes Steve.
So...
While he is fixing timelines with the Time Police or whatever they're called, Loki is tasked with imitating Steve to make sure events go as they’re supposed to with Thanos, the second time around.
This begins by inserting Loki-Steve into the first Thanos battle in Wakanda, immediately after Our-Steve dusted, while everyone is disorientated, and in such a way that nobody notices the switch.
The Time Police Or Whatever They're Called give Loki a copy of everything Steve’s ever said, but he only skims it and so only has a very superficial basic idea of who Steve really is. To do his job Loki isn’t allowed to abuse Steve’s power, and since he isn’t a Steve fan at all this results in a Steve who seems unusually apathetic and self-centered and doesn’t connect with anyone else who’s gone through the Snap because Loki himself didn’t.
This means that during the time heist, in 2012, there were two Lokis.
BUT, like all good plots
There's a Twist!
You remember how 2012!Loki briefly impersonated Steve to make fun of him, before Thor put the gag on him?
What if he did it again?
What if:
2012 Loki stole the tesseract from the lobby, disappeared, got the gag off, and then reappeared elsewhere in Stark Tower because -- like the 2023 time-thieves -- he wanted to go and get the mind-stone scepter for himself.
He knew everyone trusts Captain America, so he took on Steve’s form.
And he was wandering around upstairs (where 2012 Steve shouldn’t have been since he was supposed to be out in the streets helping with clean up), when he bumped into...
2023 Steve...
Who was also Loki.
2012-Loki loses the fight because 2023-Loki has the scepter and 2012 can’t give away that he has the tesseract.
After being knocked out, 2012-Loki wakes up, and uses the tesseract to take off before he can be caught again.
(But then he is caught by the Time Police Or Whatever They're Called and told or forced to badly-impersonate Steve on and off for five years.)
2023-Loki-Steve and 2023-Tony go back in time to the 1970s to get the Tesseract. Because he’s Loki, he also sneaks a bunch of extra Pym Particles for himself.
When Bruce snaps his fingers and brings everyone back, that includes Our-Steve.
During the confusion created by Thanos’ arrival and nuking of the Avengers HQ, 2023-Loki briefly pulls Our-Steve into an alternate timeline.
There he explains to Steve what he needs to do: including shaving his beard 😩  , cutting his hair, switching his Nomad costume for his OG Steve get-up, and then going into battle against Thanos.
He also explains that he has been whanging on about Peggy and that he stole extra Pym-Particles so no one will be surprised if Steve were to- say -disappear back in time.
Then they nip back to 2023, where our Steve slips into step beside a clueless Tony and Thor.
So the Steve in the awesome kickass portal battle is our Steve, from Wakanda.
This is why he is able to wield Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.
The Steve on the time-platform is also our Steve, but is half-assedly acting out the shitty ending Loki arranged for him because he's decided he does want to disappear and retire.
And the old-Steve who gave Sam the shield is our Steve who used the half-developed time-heist suit to age himself up, before then reverting back to his proper age.
(Bucky, of course, was in on all this, and pointed out that if Steve were really from the future he would probably be wearing a wedding ring. This is how he and Steve accidentally get engaged.)
Loki sneaks up to New Asgard, where he impersonates Valkyrie; so he can spend a bit of quality time with his brother -- only for Thor to declare him (as Valkyrie) King and announce he's off on a spacetrip.
So Loki goes back to the Time Police Or Whatever They're Called, mission accomplished.
Or does he...?

Olivier [Beyblade theories on crack]
Welcome to my random rants about random beyblade things. I have a lot of things to say about the Euro Team and how tragically underestimated and undervalued they are, as characters, but also as very smart plot devices, so in these posts I'm gonna pick a fight with the writers and yell at clouds while probably drunk. If you want a trip, and you think you don't like the Euro team, then jump on.
Tumblr media
This guy.
I love this guy.
This guy is great and I swear to god they knew what they were doing when they decided when and how to introduce him.
So, from the encounter at the top of the Eiffel Tower in ep 33 we know that this guy is mysterious and that he blades; he randomly starts roasting the Bladebreakers unprovoked, which is always fun, but fucks off before anything interesting can happen. What the writers decided to do in the next episode was split up the team, and have them find out more about Olivier separately: since everywhere they go they meet someone that has at least heard of him, we can't help but feel that this guy is kind of a big deal. From Max we learn that he's bloody rich, from Rei we learn that he's a great cook, from them both (when two guys conveniently share the information right in front of them… anime logic) we learn that he's the best blader in France, and from Takao and Kyouju we learn that he likes art, and… prepare your tinfoil hats, guys, because we're going deep.
The thing is, we know this guy is manipulative, and we know it because he offers Takao lunch in his own super expensive restaurant to distract him from the fact that he just ruined hundreds of people's day. Kyouju even points out that something's wrong when he sees Takao go into the Louvre absolutely furious at Olivier, and then sees them come out like buddies. We also know it because… come on guys, have you seen his face? Have you seen his evil smirk? He's a walking troll face. It's like the animators want us to not trust him. And yet, every background character seemingly adores him, even though we don't really get a specific reason why.
I mean… this is a kids show, I know. And the writing is messy most of the times. But this guy. This guy is shady as fuck. You can take him at face value and assume he's a well-meaning asshole, completely oblivious to normal interpersonal relationships, living in rich people's world where he can just do whatever the fuck he wants. Or. He could be one bad day away from being a chaotic-evil type of supervillain, because it's almost like he's doing everything he possibly can to lure and provoke Takao into battle while holding the façade of smiles and politeness. And the funny thing is that Takao doesn't even notice his intimidation attempts (while Kyouju falls for them at every step)
But, exactly, how manipulative is he? And, more importantly, is he even aware of it? Let's assume the worst about him for a second, that everything he did and said had the purpose to push buttons and provoke a reaction. Then just in episode 34 we have the following:
- He reserves the whole Louvre knowing that the Bladebreakers were going around famous tourists attractions
- He immediately interrupts Takao and makes him waste time on honorifics before letting him speak
- He invites Takao and Kyouju, two guys clearly not dressed for the occasion and who probably don't know proper etiquette, to his high class, really expensive restaurant, serves them delicious food he cooked himself, and even implies that he could kick everyone else out if he wanted to
- He namedrops that one guy from Team Who, in a conversation that really wasn't going in that direction, and then uses the bait to imply that he's much stronger than those guys, knowing fully well that Takao was having a hard time the previous day against them
- He basically corners Takao into battling in the middle of a fucking public park, knowing that there are a lot of people around and everyone wants to see the French champion battle
Now. The thing is, I can't prove he's the Machiavellian mastermind I suspect him to be, and the only way this whole thing works is that, in this episode, Olivier somehow got Takao and Kyouju alone and the rest of the team (Kai in particular) is not there to call Olivier out on his bullshit.
On the Eiffel Tower, at the very end of ep 33, Olivier did mention, among other things, that he has unresolved business with Team Who, and it's Kai that questions him to get more information. And what does Olivier do? He immediately cuts him off with "none of your business" and basically flees. We even get a reaction shot of Kai. Afterwards, Kai goes around trying to find out more information about Olivier on his own, and spies on the battle unseen. What's going on here? Well, Kai is not like his teammates, he's not naive, he knows what manipulation looks like and I think Olivier realizes it. That's why Olivier doesn't even try to play dumb with him like he does with basically everyone else, and that's why Kai circumvents the problem by playing bully with random kids instead of trying to confront him directly.
And I know all of this may be "chemicals are making the frogs gay" level tinfoil, but come on, just look at Olivier's reaction when Takao barges into the Louvre and somehow finds him. What does he looks like he's thinking?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end, it doesn't really matter, because Olivier doesn't win like he expects. Granted, at this point he can't lose - because the arc has just begun and Takao needs to work harder, and because Olivier already shit-talked Team Who in two different occasions while the writers want them to be a legit threat for the Bladebreakers. But Olivier can't win either, because we're already at the end of episode 34, we have three teams to juggle, and Takao can't keep losing and having to fight against the same people the whole arc. So they tie… and Olivier is shook. He miscalculated. For some reason this guy, this clueless, impulsive idiot, didn't lose immediately and neatly like he expected. And since Olivier does have honor, and respects people stronger than him, he immediately changes his tone, shuts down the peasants that don't understand these kind of things, and he starts treating Takao like an actual person (kinda).
Option A) Oh, what's this guy doing here while the Louvre should be closed?
Option B) How lucky, I caught him alone
One thing that stands out, though, is that he is the one member of the Euro Team who never loses. They had reasons to make his fight with Takao a tie, but why did they make him tie with Rei? Although I do have my own little theory about this, I noticed that he's the only member of the Euro Team that actually has other things going on in his life other than beyblade. The guy is rich, he is very interested in art, he works as a chef and wins culinary competitions. The fact that he's probably a bored psychopath is balanced by the fact that he seems to have his personal life together, he doesn't put his whole worth into spinning tops clashing against each other, and he has the self-confidence to admit when he was wrong. Which is… more than we say about the other European guys.
So, I'm thinking, because this is called Beyblade theories on crack after all, and there's too much reasonable stuff in this post so far… maybe the writers wanted to use the Euro Team to make a point about not winning, and being ok with it, and they really couldn't make it with the Bladebreakers because they are the protagonists. They can't lose - not permanently. Olivier doesn't win, twice, and… he's shook that he miscalculated, he seems to be honestly confused, his whole drive is not winning, but understand what's going on. That's why he sends the Bladebreakers to Giancarlo, that's why he convinces him to bring them to Ralf, he does want to study Takao, and… is he using the rest of the Euro Team as guinea pigs? Or did he notice something that's missing in them, and subconsciously wants to fix it?
Here's my hot take, and the conclusion to this dumb post. Olivier is not aware of his own machinations. He's a natural manipulator and he has a talent to read people or get info out of them, and he mainly does this by playing dumb and wait until people scream at him who they are and what they want. He reads the Euro Team, he reads the Bladebreakers, and realizes one thing: they could help each other. He baits Takao with the prospect of more beybattles and then follows him to see what happens. If it's chaos, good, if it's some life lesson, better. He manages to get Giancarlo on board and the both of them, combined with Takao, eventually get to Ralf. But what Olivier doesn't realize is that the very thing that he is subconsciously asking Giancarlo, Johnny, and Ralf to fix, is their inability to lean on other people, their skeptical and wary natures, their need to be perfect, without weaknesses, in the eyes of the world; and if Olivier was aware of his own machinations he would have realized sooner that, all this time, all he wanted was to have friends. And if I’m right about anything about this, then the writers will have done a good job with at least one member of the Euro Team, because it’s not only a fucking genius way to introduce the arc, the team, and the theme, but he’s also a damn good character.
I love this guy.

A murder happens and s/o tries to save the victim but fails and gets injured in the process. I want to see how that'll affect Gumshoe, Miles, and Simon when investigating and how they'd treat the prime suspect and culprit (prime suspect doesn't have to be innocent btw). Maybe some light hurt/comfort between them too when the case is over.
For the sake of writing, Reader was injured to the point of being rendered unconscious for the initial day (an investigation day!) and doesn’t come to until late into the first trial day.  For Gumshoe’s and Edgeworth’s, they serve as a decisive witness in terms of testimony on day two after coming straight to the courthouse from the hospital.  Prime suspect is the culprit in each one!  Wanted to keep these consistent.  ^^Hope you enjoy, pal!  Miles and Simon are under the cut!
Dick Gumshoe.
Detective Gumshoe is very protective of his friends and especially so of his romantic partner.
So when a bad guy not only kills somebody, but hurts his partner in the process, too?  It’s personal, pal.
Will not rest until the person who did such a terrible thing is locked up and you’re safe again.
He uses his height and stature to try and intimidate the culprit because he’s convinced of their guilt (all of the evidence points to them, after all!).  Additionally, he’ll be harsher on the subordinate officers on scene, as well, yelling at them and ordering them around as if it was second nature to him.
He’s just very much on edge and uncharacteristically prone to snapping, like a certain K-9 unit.  The junior officers steer clear of him as much as possible when he’s like this, not wanting to get yelled at.
Edgeworth has to scold him and remind him that he needs to keep his act together if they want to get this villain locked up.
This poor man gets absolutely no sleep as he juggles between spending as much time with you in the hospital during your short stay there.
He looks exhausted and worn down whenever he’s at the hospital, just holds onto your hand like it’s his lifeline.
After he gets the call that you’ve woken up, he rushes down to the hospital after picking up a bouquet of discounted flowers.  Cries upon seeing you really are all right and scoops you into a hug, careful of your injuries (but not mindful of the bouquet, which he crushes, oops).
Once the conviction is handed down, Gumshoe sweeps you out of the courtroom and back home.
He is very big on comfort cuddles and will probably take the first day afterwards off just to spend it sleeping and cuddling in bed with you.
Will make you weenies and attempt to make any of your other favorite foods (or try to!  they’re always made with love!).
He picks you up from work and is just always escorting you places, wanting to be there for you in case something like that ever happens again.  His worry slowly eases as things stay normal, though, but he’ll keep up with it as long as you need to feel safe.
Probably encourages you to maybe take a self-defense class or at least let him teach you some moves from police training for some peace of mind in the future.
Miles Edgeworth.
Prosecutor Edgeworth remains focused on finding the truth, as always, but with a greater urgency because he needs to get to the bottom to what happened to you.
Is thoroughly convinced that the defendant committed this heinous crime, hurting you in the process, but he does his best to not let his biases color the investigation.
The more evidence he finds, the more convinced he becomes that the police have the correct individual.
And thus, the colder he becomes toward the suspect in question as he engages them in games of logic.  Trying to find holes in their narratives and logic.
Despite looking like he’s keeping it together, those close to him can tell that he’s having a rough time.  The furrow between his brow is deep and he tends to stare off, lost in thought more regularly.
As much as he hates not being able to be with you in the hospital, he needs this investigation to be overseen with great care.
When he is there the first night, he simply stares at you feeling utterly helpless.
Once the first day of the trial is finished and he checks his phone to see a notice that you’ve woken up, he makes his way to the hospital posthaste.
The sentimentalities come after he makes sure you are absolutely okay and hears what happened from you.  Presses a gentle kiss to your brow as he brushes some hair out of your face, promising you that justice will be served.
He makes it very clear to the defense that there will be no badgering of the witness tolerated, given the fact that you came directly from the hospital to testify.  He’s not happy about it, but a decisive witness is the key to winning this case.
Afterwards, the two of you go home together and he just… holds you.  It takes you a while to realize it, but he’s crying.  It’s a call that’s too close for comfort, another loved one potentially being ripped away from him.  Leaving him behind.  Unbearable.
Dotes on you afterwards, despite his job taking such a high priority in his life he’ll make as much time for you as you request.
Touchier than usual for a time afterwards, it’s reassuring to the both of you.  You may even be able to squeeze out a bit of PDA from him.
Will scold you at any hint of self-sacrificial behavior going forward, not wanting you to risk yourself like that again.
Encourages you to get therapy and recommends you to his therapist, wants to make sure that you heal from the trauma and is there for you every step of the way.
Simon Blackquill.
Simon has suffered too much loss, he takes this crime against you.  Because he could have lost you, too.  And that’s unacceptable.
Really, he takes this whole ordeal very hard personally.  Protecting the ones he loves is one of his most deeply held and important core values.
He feels like he’s deeply failed you (the one he loves) on that front.
Given the suspect’s psychological background and the evidence, he’s quick to figure out that this is, indeed, his culprit.
You think he’s bad in the courtroom?  He’s hell in the interrogation room.  Psychological manipulation and intense, drawn out interrogations to try and break down the suspect or trick him into confessing or slipping up.
He is merciless and all steely edges, there is no ‘good cop’ to save this cretin.  The threats are less empty than usual…
Enjoys making them squirm a bit too much, it’s honestly a way for him to take out his own frustration.
By the time you’ve come to, the case is already closed.  A single day in court is all it took.  He spent the first day in interrogation, but doing so allowed for him to be there for you consistently not long after.
Simon’s by your side, arms crossed over his chest as he stares off into space—lost in thought.  He doesn’t notice you’re awake immediately and you get to see that he’s lost in thought.
He looks like hell.  He’s got bags under his eyes and the stains on his face seem more pronounced than before.
After the nurses and doctors run their tests, he’s quick to hold onto your hand once you’re alone once again.
“Tsk.  Don’t do something so brainless ever again.  I won’t forgive you if you do.”
You both know he would’ve done the same in your situation though.  And you sense there’s some underlying meaning behind his words that isn’t directed at you.
He becomes like a shadow afterwards, a bit too reminiscent of an overbearing mother hen with her chicks.  However, he’s simultaneously emotionally distant.  It’s a strange, contrasting combination and it can be confusing to navigate with him.
If you weren’t learning swordplay with him before, you are now!  He passes on his iaijutsu technique onto you.
Tries to find the humor and encourages you in his own snarky way.  It’s familiar and comforting in its own and he lives for seeing more of your smile.
Takes a few days off work to spend time with you, has his arms wrapped around you as much as he can and treats you to as much comfort food takeout as you want.  It’s the least he can do...
Athena conducts a couple of therapy sessions with the two of you.  She’s the only person he trusts enough with you and his own feelings.  It really helps clear up that emotional distance element.

Chapter 4: Finally, The Tea
Undertaker seemingly relaxed as he let out a loud laugh.
''Well that would explain your weird attire and speech.'' He said as he sat down.
''That's it? No 'that's not possible'? Or you know, at least some confusion and disbelief that I'm going through?'' you said completely flabbergasted by Undertaker's lack of reaction.
''When you work in my line of work, you realize that reality is incredibly feeble, and that time is just a trivial concept.'' He said as he sipped his cuppa.
''Your line of work? Aren't you a funeral director?'' you said as you sat down in the seat across from him, trying to calm your self.
He chuckled as he looked you in the eyes ''Of course, I meant me' previous work.'' He said as he put sugar in his tea, stirring it with a tea spoon so it melts quickly.
''And what has that been?'' you asked, trying to figure out what job might have led Undertaker to be so calm about the situation.
''The 21st century, the year 202- to be exact. I lived here in London.'' you said with nervousness, this wasn't exactly what you thought you'd ever say in your life.
He only smiled in response as he put the cup to his lips.
''Where did you say you came from?'' he changed the subject, and you decided not to touch it for now, as it seems he doesn't want to talk about it.
He hummed as he took another sip of his cuppa, ''Then might you have any idea how you have ended here? After all, people don't just wake up a hundred years in the past.''
''I have no clue. I'm not even sure this is real, I mean, would you believe it if you woke up in the 19th century? No. I'm probably in a coma, or I died, or something, everything seems more logical than this.'' you mumbled off, your head hurt as the situation just weighted down on yoir shoulders and dragged you to a bottomless pit of questions you had no answer to.
He chuckled as he once again watched you have an existential crisis. ''Drink some tea, it could help you calm your nerves.'' he proposed as he handed you your cup.
''I have no reason to not believe you and it would be very irresponsible and cruel of me to leave a woman in need of help on the streets.'' He smiled as he watched you melt in to the drink he gave me.
''Thank you.. I don't understand why you're so kind to me, a complete stranger you found on the streets who claims she's from the future. I mean, I would have sent myself to some mental hospital.'' you said with a laugh as you tasted the tea.
''It's amazing!'' you said with excitement as you relaxed and enjoyed the warmth and deliciousness of the cuppa.
He looked at your clothes and shook his head in disapproval. ''Your clothes are all dirty, we'll have to find you some new ones.''
You looked down on your self and gasped when you saw how messy you must look. You've been in the same clothes for God knows how long, plus you've collected dirt and the stench of the streets as the man pushed you to the ground.
''New clothes? Where will I get those?'' you said with a frown as you looked at my ruined clothes.
''Oh you do not have to worry about that, I have many women's and men's clothing that I make for my guests frequently.'' He said with a giggle, but you couldn't help to feel bad.
''But you've done so much for me already, I can't exploit your generosity anymore!''
''Oh believe me, I am anything but generous and you've paid me more than enough times, now come, let me find you some appropriate attire.'' you didn't understand what he meant when he said you already paid him when you've done nothing but cause him trouble, but you followed behind him as we went to another room, which seemed as a sewing room/dresser.
''Wow! You really weren't joking when you said you make your own clothes'' you said completely amazed.
''I make them for me' customers, now I think I might have a dress just for you somewhere here.'' He said as he started listing though the coat rack full of dresses.
''I would rather prefer some pants and whatever you have with it, just until I can have my own clothes back.'' you said quickly to stop Undertaker from taking out whatever dress he has choosen for you.
''Ah of course, I should have thought of that, but it's a shame I won't see you in a dress, I had a very cute one picked out, you would look just like a doll.'' He pouted and gave out a disappointed sigh.
''Ah here, this would be perfect.'' He said as he pulled out a dark lounge suit formed of a white long sleeved shirt with cuffed sleeves and close fitting collar. Over the shirt was a dark waistcoat, with a pocket on the right breast. The dark trousers fell loosely to the ankle but had high waistbands and fit tightly at the top.
''Me? A doll?'' you couldn't help but laugh as you remembered in kindergarten when the pretty girls played princesses and you had to play the role of the evil dragon with 3 heads.. At first you were upset you could never play the princess, but then youabsolutely slayed it, as you had the privilege to destroy every backdrop.
Ah, the sweet memories.
''Oh that's perfect! I cannot thank you enough Undertaker!'' you clasped my hands together before running up to him and hugging his waist.
''Oh you do not have to thank me, I am always happy to help you, you're just the funniest thing.'' He chuckled to himself as you smiled and let go of him.
''Is there a bathroom somewhere so I could wash up? I really need a bath rignt now, but only if it's okay with you, of course!'' you say as you look at him with shy eyes.
''Of course it's fine, I'll show you where it is.'' he said and opened the door as you trailed behind him with the clothes in your hand.
''Are you sure I'm not being annoying now? I mean with all the things I ask of you..'' you trail off as look at the ground.
''As I said, having someone as amusing as you around is more than enough for me.'' that made you even more confused, as you furrowed your eyebrows in thought at his words. Seeing this, he chuckled and opened the door that you have arrived at.
''Shampoo and everything else you may need is in the drawer by the mirror.'' He said as he started the water.
''Again, thank you, I just don't know what would happen to me if you didn't take me in, and then save my life from that man, and then take me in again.'' you laughed as Undertaker chuckled.
There was a moment of silence as you waited for Undertaker to leave, you didn't know what to say or do as Undertaker looked as if he was waiting for something.
''So I'm, uh. going to get ready now.'' you awkwardly said as Undertaker cracked a wide grin.
''Oh are you sure you don't need me' assistance with that? All my guests were very satisfied with me' help.'' He laughed as you started gently pushing him out of the door.
''I'm more than capable of doing that, thank you very much!'' you closed the door behind him as you heard him laugh on the other side. It's weird how fast you've warmed up to him, normally you'll have to know someone for weeks to be this close to them, but then again you guess your meeting wasn't really in the 'normal' circumstances.
You quickly get undressed and look at your self in the mirror in the corner of the room. You have multiple bruises on your body from when the men threw you around and your hair is messy and full of dirt. You take out the bottle of, what you think is, shampoo, but it looks really weird and sketchy, and a sope and finally sat your self into the bath tub. You let out a relaxed breath as you completely soaked your self in the hot water. You slowly washed your hair and body and got out of the water.
You dry your self and pick up the clothes you got from Undertaker, as you looked through them you found a new pair of underwear and a bra in your size. You can feel your face getting red. Oh God.. How does he even know your underwear and bra size??(now, I know that there weren't any modern bras in 1888, but I didn't want to let the reader go through the process of making her own temporary binder, believe me, I tried) you try to ignore this question and quickly get dressed.
''What are you doing?'' you ask as you stop at his side. He looks up at you and gives you his characteristic grin.
The sleeves of the shirt and the pants were a little long, but nothing too bad or noticeable. You totally slay this look! Taking your dirty clothes you put them in to a bucket full of hot water and soap and wash them with the washing bat, it was hard, you don't understand how people do this for all their lives. After that's done you put them on the drying hanger.
You step out of the bathroom and make your way back into to the lounge room, where you find Undertaker, sitting by his desk and signing some papers.
''Just some formal necessities about me' next guest.'' he giggled his usual creepy laugh and let the pen down and took a glance at your appearance ''What about the clothing? Does it suit alright?'' His question made you blush as you remembered the weirdly accurate size of your undergarments.
''Oh.. Um yes! It fits perfectly, thank you!'' you said with shyness.
''You're just the cutest thing.'' He glanced at the clock, ''It has gotten quite late and I still have to do some work, but first I will show you where you will be sleeping.'' you looked at the clock, it's 10.pm already? You follow Undertaker as he guides you to a door at the other side of the house. This house is much bigger than it seems from the outside. He opens the door to show a small dark room with one bed and a small desk.
''I have never used this room, but I have read that every house hold should have a bedroom.''
''If you don't sleep here, then where do you?'' you asked with confusion as you looked at him.
''No, but thank you for the offer though, I'll keep it in mind.'' you smiled as you looked at his grinning smile ''Goodnight Undertaker.''
''Well in my custom made coffin of course! Do you want to try one?''
He said with his usual high pitched voice and giggle as you shivered from the thought of being closed in one of these things again.
''Goodnight, Y/n.''
After the door closed, you turned around and got ready for the night, as you laid in the bed you recalled the day. You woke up in a coffin in a funeral shop, with a weird (yet very generous) man, got assaulted, learned you're in the 19th century and nowhere near coming back. You were exhausted. Just as you got comfortable in your position on the bed a thought came to you 'But if Undertaker didn't sleep in this room, then why did he previously say he didn't have anywhere else to put me than the coffin?'

Hayato looked at the window, he has been in the hospital for a few months now as he wasn't sure who he was, all that they knew was the little they could find on his wallet. Name and from where he was, although the information was all false, but they still used the false name. A few days later he was finally found as he stares at the woman in front of him. "Who are you?" A nurse got in looking confused. "Oh miss? Are you lost? This patient doesn't have a family." - TYL bc I CAN.
[Unprompted ask] One r00d prompt after another. I don’t know if I did this one justice, but I sure did try! I hope I kick you in the feels.
Haru woke up to find herself in a hospital one day. Racking her brain, she could vaguely remember an explosion of some sort? She looked herself over to see bandages wrapped over every which way on her limbs. She couldn’t help but sigh in lament. “Surely he wouldn’t mind a scar or two… right? If he did, I married the wrong man.” She joked to herself, fighting depressing thoughts with something more light-hearted. Her stuff lay right beside her on a table.
Within the few months that Gokudera had gone missing without a word, Haru had done her best to fill in, but it was obvious that she could not do a perfect job. Not to disparage her own intelligence, but Gokudera was also extremely intelligent in his own right. That much she had to begrudgingly admit. Additionally, there were some things that required brute strength, something she did not have.
The most she could do is use her intelligence to quickly go through paperwork and make heads or tails of things. Whatever required brute force, she’d have to trouble someone else to get the job done. It would be a lie to say that Haru wasn’t a mess, overwork was evident in her face from all the all nighters she’d pull.
Gokudera probably thought he could go crazy with how busy he was when he filled in for Tsuna, who had passed away, but what about her? She now had to fill in FOR THE FILL IN! On top of that, she was riddled with worry about how her husband had been missing for months.
Even now the Vongola was struggling to stay afloat, but everyone was pitching in to help, and for that, she was grateful. For some time, Haru started acting as the proxy for the ailing Storm Guardian, stating that he had returned from a dangerous mission and needed time to recover. As his wife, she was speaking for him.
Of course, that was a lie. No one else knew except for a select few that Gokudera was missing in action. It was stressful to say the very least and she worried day and night about where that husband of hers was, but she never voiced a word of complaint to anyone. She had to stay strong and do her best for whenever Gokudera returned.
She would occasionally attend meetings and do her best to live her life as normally as she could, but things were never that easy. As she spearheaded her way to involving herself deeper in the mafia politics, the more dangerous things became for her. The more horrors she had to face. The very things that Gokudera had shielded her eyes from over the years.
She felt guilty for sure, but she also felt upset. Was she that untrustworthy of a wife that he didn’t want to tell her these things? No, she knew that it was likely a vain answer such as, ‘not wanting to make you worry too much.’ How silly. The moment they exchanged their marriage vows, they agreed to accept everything about the other. No matter how dangerous and scary things were, she would have to put up with it and push through.
This is how a Yakuza wife must feel in those movies. She couldn’t stay here for long. Taking her stuff from the side table, she climbed off the bed. With no one around, she went walking down the halls, searching for someone who could discharge her when she came to a sudden stop. There, staring out the window was a familiar figure. “Hayato?” She rushed over to his side, grabbing his face in her hands to get a good look at him. It’s him.
She recognized those eyes everywhere. Every scar she remembered (and a few new ones) were exactly where she remembered them to be. When he asked her who she was, she jumped back in surprise. Was this a joke? She searched his eyes and realized that he wasn’t joking. He couldn’t remember her. How much memory loss did he have? Was it that he forgot about her entirely, or he couldn’t recognize her? Did he forget about the Vongola?
Just how bad was his situation that he, with his incredibly memory, forgot everything? ‘It’s possible that his mind forced him to forget so he could focus on recovery.’ Did that mean he had to forget about her too?
Right, she probably gave him more stress than anything, huh? She felt like deadweight before, but she felt utterly useless now.
Next, a nurse came in to tell her that he didn’t have a family.
What nonsense was that? He had a family! He had a wife, and he had a half-sister, who was still alive, mind you. She was about to say something, but something came to mind. The nameplate aside his bed, the lack of a wedding band.
This man was her husband, but also wasn’t her husband at the same time. He had a new identity here at this hospital. He couldn’t remember her or the vows they exchanged back then. Perhaps, he’d be happier living out this life here unaware of the dangers his previous life offered him?
No, if his memory would ever return, he wouldn’t forgive her for leaving him there. She fiddled with her wedding band on her finger, hiding it from view. Yes, it was better this way if he didn’t remember a thing.
“No… I recognize him, he has a family. He has a half-sister who I can call to come pick him up.” She glanced at the hand that wasn’t wearing his wedding band one last time before she looked away. “He’d gone missing a few months ago and we’ve been looking everywhere like crazy.” She spoke as steadily as she could, but the shake in her voice couldn’t be disguised. Before tears welled up in her eyes, she bit her bottom lip hard enough that she could taste metal. “Please give me a moment, I’ll make the call.”
The woman left the room and made a call, making arrangements to bring him home, and telling for Bianchi to come with a different identity, one that would match the backstory of the identity Gokudera had according to what he carried in his wallet.
“You didn’t tell him? That you’re married?” Bianchi asked as she handed Haru a cup of coffee that she got from a vending machine. She had finished talking to the doctors about getting Gokudera discharged. They were getting him ready to leave.
“No, I thought it would be better for him not to know. I want him to focus on recovery.” Haru said as she took a sip of the bitter coffee. “Don’t you think you could help him recover by being by his side?” Bianchi questioned, unsure of why Haru was being this passive. Before, Haru would insist on being by his side, nursing him back to health. She would’ve fought tooth and nail to ensure his steady recovery.
It was something that Bianchi always liked about Haru, her earnest nature in caring for those she loved. It was something that she could relate to, after all. Unfortunately, Reborn was gone from this world.
For a time, Haru was the only one who could understand her feelings of the anxiety losing a loved one, but that didn’t comfort her. After all, the one Haru ‘lost’ at the time was her own brother. So Haru’s passive behavior was questionable.
A bitter smile flashes across Haru’s face, her thumbs rubbing against the warmth of the coffee cup. “You know, I’m going to do it. Be a messenger.”
“You-! Absolutely not! Who put such a stupid idea in your head!? You know what happened to the last messenger! They killed him!”
The younger woman didn’t react, taking another sip of her coffee. “They demand to see someone who has some rank within the Vongola. I may not be an able fighter, nor am I heavily involved with politics… but I am the wife of the right hand man. That in itself gives me enough rank to qualify. This is to show our ‘sincerity’ about wanting to proceed with peace talks.”
This was a woman who was determined to do something for the sake of others. She may be somewhat of a coward, but Haru always seemed to have a heart of a lion if it meant she had to protect something. In this case, she had her friends and her family to protect.
Haru had the confidence in being able to hold her own in peace talks, but she’d be thinking too optimistically to assume the Millefiore weren’t simply asking for another sacrifice to make an example of.
Logically speaking, she was the best option. They could fulfill their sick desires and the Vongola, in theory, wouldn’t lose much. She wasn’t a fighter. She historically wasn’t involved in politics. She only involved herself recently due to Gokudera being MIA. Sure, the Vongola would lose some face, but their battle strength won’t weaken with her death.
Who knows? Maybe they’ll become stronger in the name of vengeance. Wouldn’t that be nice if that’s what they needed to win?
“Even so, that doesn’t mean that you-“ “I know my status. My rank is empty. We can lose another guardian or an able fighter. Letting me go would yield the smallest damage. I’m sure if Hayato regained his memories, he’d volunteer himself to go, but… Bianchi… I’ve already lost him once, haven’t it? I can’t lose him again, don’t make me do it.” Haru’s stony countenance shattered as she broke down into tears.
Did she want to die? No. Did she fear death? Yes, but she feared losing Hayato far more than that. She already thought she’d lost him before and she refused to send him off to his death a second time.
Bianchi quietly pat her back, understanding the conviction the woman had to keep her husband safe. She understood the sacrifice that Haru was steeling herself for in order to ensure the Vongola didn’t lose out on too much.
She understood it all logically, but she still didn’t want to admit to it. This girl, was her brother’s wife. That meant she was her dear sister-in-law. Why did things have to turn out this way? It was incredibly vexing and unfair.
“He’d never forgive you.” He would never forgive Bianchi either for letting Haru go as a messenger. She hoped that by saying this, she could shake Haru’s resolve.
The brown-haired woman pulled away from Bianchi, wiping away her fallen tears, steeling her heart once more. “The dead don’t ask for forgiveness. I’ll find a way to convince everyone. If we’re lucky, they won’t touch me, a non-combatant.”
That’s a lie.
“It’s too dangerous to send a guardian there, and they’re needed on other missions.” That’s the truth, and she’d know, because she had a hand at assigning guardians to different tasks. She’d purposefully sent many of them away so they couldn’t stop her and volunteer themselves instead.
As much as she believed in their strength, it was too much to assume anyone could get out alive when in the middle of the Millefiore base with all their forces looking down on you. It was much too risky, and organizing a rescue mission would be even more tricky.
She believed it best to simply use someone as a discardable piece and she nominated herself.
“Don’t tell him about anything. Let him heal at his own pace. Hopefully, he’ll never remember about me, that way, he won’t ever had to lose me.” You can’t lose someone if you can’t remember them.
What a blessing in disguise. “There has to be another way.”
Haru shook her head. If there was a plan that had a good probability of succeeding, Haru would gladly take the option, but there wasn’t. The Millefiore was just too strong and their hands reached far. It wasn’t worth the risk of losing a guardian or two for a plan that had less of a 10% chance of succeeding.
“I won’t hesitate to sacrifice myself to protect everyone for a while longer. I’m sure Tsuna-san and Hayato would’ve done the same. Think of it as me giving back for all the times I was protected.” She was going to make herself truly useful.
“If… he ever regains his memories… tell him I’m sorry for being selfish.” She didn’t want to lose him again. Hopefully her sacrifice would push the Vongola in the direction of victory.
Surely, he could find someone better. Someone who could help him more than she could.
“Those bastards! Who let her go through with this!?”
“How did she die?”
“The tests show poison. She hid it within her ring. Where did she get her hands on such a thing?” Eyes turned to look at a certain individual who said nothing.
She could only remember something Haru said a couple days ago:
“If they’re serious about a peace treaty, I’ll do fine. If it’s a ruse, I’ll make sure they can’t get any useful information out of me.” She fiddled with her ring that had a mechanism to inject her with lethal poison should the situation go down south.
It was a bit morbid, but adding this feature to her wedding ring was poetic in her mind. Before she could be used, she would save herself with death.
Bianchi looked down at the woman laying in the casket that the Millefiore had so ‘graciously’ sent to them filled with Edelweiss flowers, symbolizing courage and devotion.
“Don’t let her sacrifice go to waste. We have work to do.”

The new video sure was something, uh
So, as usual I'm here to brag about the newest video. This time, I'm going to analyze "Dealing with INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS", and it's a long analysis/theory, so be patient with me.
This will majorly center around Remus and "the Others", so beware! (I'm so happy I don't have to call them Dark Sides anymore, it was never fair)
I wrote many points to consider, and each one will take quite a bit. With that, let's begin!
1) So:
Tumblr media
[ 1) Remus: Who he is, what he does, why he's there ]
I think we can all agree that his debut was a surprise, especially because most of us were expecting the "Green Side" to be associated with something like Envy, or Greed, since dark green is sometimes associated with money.
However, we got Remus, aka Intrusive Thoughts, which I think is, in my opinion, the best option they could face.
So: he is Thomas' nasty thoughts, the evil, twisted fantasies, and he keeps Thomas' awake at night with dark ideas, he gives him the worst thoughts to deal with, things Thomas is deeply troubled to think of, because as Logan said, his catholic beliefs instilled in him that thought is the precursor of action.
Remus is there, and why is he there?
The fun thing is: I don't think he's there to be "useful". Later I'll explain where I think his Character Arc is going to go, but Remus really doesn't have any reason to be there except that intrusive thoughts are something absolutely everyone deals with. You all have to consider that, even if those are Thomas' Sides, they're also everyone's Sides. We all have Logic, Creativity, Morality, Anxiety, and we all lie (I'll return to that).
And this traits help us live with eveyday life?
But intrusive thoughts? They just majorly upset us, and worsen our view of ourselves, but we all still have them.
However, I'm really happy with this choice, because Thomas is starting to really show what I've been screaming since Deceit's debut: things are not black and white, and he is NOT a completely good person, because NO ONE is, not 100%. We can act like good people and sincerely mean to do good, but we're still gonna have dark, horrible thoughts. And, as Thomas' said, that's ok. Those thoughts don't make you a bad person if you don't act on them, but you should consider a therapist/psychiatrist if they bother you too much. There's no shame in that, too: please, reach out for help, if needed.
[ 2) Remus' relationships with: Roman, Deceit, and Virgil ]
- Remus' relationship with Roman
At 35:50, it's officially and definitely confirmed that Remus and Roman are brothers, probably even twins.
A moment after the Duke disappears, Roman says "I don't like him".
Thomas goes, at Roman: "So, you have a brother?"
And Roman clearly is uncomfortable with it: "Yeah... It's a little like looking into a fun-house mirror. But instead of a giant head, or, like, long legs or a tiny torso... It shows you everything you don't want to be."
Thomas answers: "That doesn't sound like a very funny house"
And Roman: "Yeah... Uhh, whatever, y'know-? (...)"
Roman and Remus obviously don't get along, but we understood that the moment Remus knocked out Roman with that weapon I don't know the name of (sorry rip, don't focus on this :'))
Roman considers himself a dashing Disney Prince, a knight in shining armor, an example of bravery and justice, while Remus is pure chaotic evil. He doesn't care what other people think and his idea of fun and fantasy is twisted, and he isn't afraid of Roman and his sword in the slightest. They're opposites.
Unluckily we didn't get much brotherly interactions or interactions at all, so there's no much to say, but those two have a whole damn lot to work through.
The question that many have been asking is: do Roman and Remus share a room?
The answer is: I honestly don't know. It would be a complete and utter mess that Roman would hate to have to share. Time will tell.
Tumblr media
- Remus' relationship with Deceit
We haven't even seen them interacting on screen, but we already know so damn much about it.
WAY BACK in "Can LYING Be Good?", this was said about Deceit:
Roman: "If you really don't want to know something, he (Deceit) can keep our moutjs shut."
And Logan immediately goes "You don't want to believe it. That's where his (Deceit's) power comes from. Things that you want to believe. Things that you wish were true. And things that you wish weren't."
And later:
Tumblr media
Deceit is able to shut up the Sides, but he's also able to hide them. That's what he did with Remus, he kept him locked away.
I've always been rooting for morally gray/sympathetic Deceit, but I'll try to stay neutral on this: though, I really believe that Deceit was trying to protect Thomas.
Remus is... A lot, to say the least. He's pure chaos, and isn't useful or helpful (for now) and doesn't even care to be. Deceit, on the other side, really cares about Thomas, and he showed that in many ways: he just cares about Thomas in his own way. Missing the callback of SVS still hurts Thomas after all this time, and I already explained why Deceit tried his best to do what was good for Thomas in court (https://ordinaryfander.tumblr.com/post/183871155711/thomas-shouldve-gone-to-do-the-callback-he).
I also said, tho, that in SVS Deceit was frustrated to no end because the other Sides weren't listening to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look how confused he is at Patton's words.
You know why? Because Thomas thinks what he says. Thomas lies, and Deceit is there to prove it.
But they didn't listen to Deceit, but Deceit isn't like Virgil: Virgil waited lots of episodes to be listened to until he finally ducked out.
Deceit straight up released Thomas' worst thoughts because Thomas had to face in the most hard way that he is n o t a completely honest person. Deceit just got really pissed and went: "You know what? I'm useful, you need me and I'll prove it."
Tumblr media
And he just did that. He straight up released Remus, Thomas' worst thoughts, on them. Deceit is the only one who could do that, and you know why he did?
Remus: "Thomas, speaking of knowledge; recently a snake offered me a morsel from the tree of knowledge. He said you're wanting to be more honest and be direct dealing with your issues, no longer will you deceive yourself about the ugliness within you, me!"
Deceit smacked in the face Thomas with Remus, so Thomas could get the point. I think he did. "If you don't want to lie to yourself, at least face who you really are"
About Remus and Deceit alone...
I don't think Deceit really likes Remus. Deceit is kinda goofy, but he's also sophisticated, charming, a silver-tongue. Remus is a stinky garbage man.
Deceit wants to protect Thomas' reputation, Remus would destroy it. Probably Remus likes Deceit (I think he likes everyone, he doesn't care), but Deceit doesn't really reciprocate the feeling. I could surely be proven wrong, those are just my points.
- Remus' relationship with Virgil
Boy oh boy.
Well, the video already said what I could'be said: Virgil dislikes Remus, he doesn't trust him, but he's also not as scared of him anymore like he used to be.
Virgil, at Remus (32:27): "I thought you were some... Horrible illness. Now I can see that you're just a common cold, a mild inconvenience that's gone before you know it."
And Remus looks at him like this:
Tumblr media
That's not a evil look. He's soft, almost proud.
He isn't even offended. He just goes "Eheh, you tickle me, emo."
And Virgil has one blink-and-you-miss-it-moment when he genuinely smiles.
Tumblr media
I think he did somehow used to like (platonically y'all) Remus, even if he was scared of him. They were still... Friends, maybe, at some point. Deceit and Virgil never had such a kind-of-sweet moment, even if just a few seconds long, and even if the Duke and Virgil still are not likely to get along in general and for the time being. The Duke's phrase about Old Times wasn't a welcomed one by Virgil.
I don't wanna dig in too much else, we already know that Virgil doesn't still trust the Duke. That was just some looks I noticed that stuck with me.
Also, I won't ignore the fragment revelead his name and said: "Of course (I told you, Thomas), I would never hide anything to you." And it cuts right off to Virgil. Eh. Busted.
- How Will His Character Arc Go?
That one is the most important question.
Everyone is gonna believe what they will, but I don't think he'll get... Sympathetic, even? He's just pure chaos.
Maybe his Arc will entangle with a Roman new one, maybe his Arc will entangle with Deceit's. I do hope that Thomas and co. will now value Deceit better, he really isn't that bad... At least, not compared to Remus.
Deceit shut up Logan guys, but Remus straight up murdered him. Even if they can't literally die, y'all really can't close a whole eye on that.
So I just think he's gonna stay around and do mischief, but will surely get some sort of development related to other characters. I'm almost sure he won't get a Solo Arc, surely not for now. However, I'm pretty sure they'll get back to talk how to manage him, and how he can become more useful.
- Conclusions and predictions for the next video
Honestly, sorry this was messier than my normal analysis/theory posts, but I don't fully know how to take Remus yet.
Y'all see, the moment I knew Deceit I made my mind up: he's morally gray, he has a purpose, he has to get credit for it.
Remus confused me in every possible way. He's chaos. I'm sure we won't see him in the next video, but I predict maybe Deceit will be in it, just to look how good of a job he's done.
And that's pretty much it. I hope you all have a good time :>

Destiel Chronicles
(Vol. XXVIII)
It was a love story from the very beginning.
Remember me
(7x17)
Hello my dears!! Well... Welcome to this volume and I'm so happy because CAS IS BACK! 👏👏
And the most beautiful of all is ... Sera ... She had to write it. She had to write Castiel coming back and not just that, she being a Bro-only Stan, had to make it VERY VERY DESTIEL. And she made a great job. Thank you Serita.
Okay! I want to say thanks to my friend @agusvedder she made the gifs for this meta and discussed the scenes with me.
Well, what are we waiting for? Let's talk about Destiel.
Cas! You're back! But wait.. who's she?
We are going to talk just about episode 7x17 The Born Again Identity... Because it has a lot of Destiel on it, and we need an entire meta for that.
Remember my last chronicle, Dean was in bad shape, depressed and suicidal because Castiel was gone? Okay... Keep that in mind, and watch this reaction when Dean finds Castiel...
He was mourning Cas, and Bobby, and his brother was about to die too, and suddenly, he found his faith back, his best friend, that person who changed his entire existence, was alive. In front of his eyes. So yeah, in Dean's face we can see the shock.
Tumblr media
But then, the happiness to find his friend vanished, because Castiel doesn't remember him, and worst. He's married!
The whole scene in Daphne's place is very heartbreaking for Dean.
Do we need to repeat the similitude between Dean and Daphne, the similarities in their names and the green eyes and light brown hair? Because that something very known in the fandom, so yes.
Now... This will be a travel through Dean sad facial expressions... First of all, when Emmanuel presents Daphne as his wife... Dean's face is like...
Tumblr media
"Your wife, right."
Dean is shocked, and sad, and confused. Cas has a wife? My Cas? When this happened? And he can't remember me?
And then, the hand shake as if they were strangers, another daga in Dean's heart...
Tumblr media
He's trying to swallow Cas doesn't remember, he's like disoriented, and even so, Cas is watching him with his typical questioning eyes. Is Cas feeling he knows this man from somewhere? Or is just curious about Dean's awkward reaction.
And I can't stop noticing the tremble in Dean's lips before articulate any word on these two gifs... Jensen played it deliciously. The nervousness, the pain and the confusion in his eyes, the brokenheart.
The name Emmanuel means the God's sent one. Cas was sent to save Sam this time?
But... The thing is... Dean is still in shock, and when he had to make some conversation in the car with Emmanuel he just threw the matter that got him in awe (and nervous, and mad, and heartbroken... Remember Jeffrey in episode 15 when the demon came back... But possesed another man? Well this is the parallel I told you... Who's she, Cas?)
Tumblr media
DEAN: So, Daphne – is that, uh, your wife?
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: She found me and cared for me.
DEAN: Meaning?
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Oh, it's a...strange story. You may not like it.
DEAN: Believe me, I will.
So yes, Dean is intrigued... But hurted too, there's a pause between naming Dahpne and your wife, and is the first thing he wants to speak about with CAS. Is something that's bothering him. And also he wants to know how is that Cas is alive. (I just wanted to point here... When they're in the car talking, outside the windows, there's green and blue lights passing by only... Destiel coded color... Sigh...)
When Emmanuel said it's a strange story, and maybe Dean wouldn't like it, Dean is very sure he needs to know badly what happened to his Cas that ended like this...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: A few months ago, she was hiking by the river, and I wandered into her path, drenched and confused, and... unclothed. I had no memory. She said... God wanted her to find me.
DEAN: So who named you Emmanuel?
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Bouncybabynames.com.
DEAN: Well, it's working for you. Must be weird not knowing who you are.
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Well, it's my life. And it's a good life.
So maybe knowing Emmanuel name meaning, Dean said it works for you. Because Castiel is an angel. But... Keeping the "identity" topic, Dean had his issues still with Cas, his grudges... and he can't talk about it with him, because Castiel doesn't remember what he did. So yes, Dean needs to say something about those grudges he has with Cas, so he said this...
Tumblr media
What if you were... A bad guy?
Why is Dean asking this? Because he needs to get something in return. You were bad with us, Cas.
Even if Cas tried to apologize before he died, Dean couldn't heal that wound. Because it was Cas.
And Emmanuel answer is similar to what Cas thought was doing right... I feel I'm a good person. Of course he is. He did everything thinking he was doing right. Till everything went wrong.
Dean can't forget what Cas did to him
We're in one very angsty point here. This chat in the car, is Dean trying so hard to not explode with these so many months of suffering and ruminating his best friend (and something else) betrayal. And his lost. And now he's there, with him. But he can't discuss, or talk, or threw at him his anger, because he doesn't remember.
So... The conversation gets weird...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: So, your brother...
DEAN: Sam.
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Sam. What's his diagnosis?
DEAN: Well, it's not exactly medical.
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: That should be fine. I can cure illness of a spiritual origin.
DEAN: Spiritual? Okay. Someone did this to him.
Okay, Emmanuel talked first about spiritual origin, so Dean should feel worst there... Yeah, spiritual is something Cas did with Sam. The anger again. The remembrance...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: You're angry.
DEAN: Well, yeah. Dude broke my brother's head.
Emmanuel saw through those words, the tone in Dean's voice and his face. He saw Dean was angry. So Dean couldn't say these words directly to CAS, so he will say it to Emmanuel anyway, he needed to say, to vomit everything there...
And he's not just angry because of what Cas did to Sam, but ... Everything behind that action. The betrayal... His death... The talk to solve things between them that never happened...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: He betrayed you, this dude. He was your friend?
DEAN: Yeah, well, he's gone.
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Did you kill him? I sense that you kill a lot of people.
Two things in Emmanuel observation: he named betrayal and friend and that's the wound that didn't heal in Dean.
The hunter said HE'S GONE. Because that Cas isn't there. That's Emmanuel. So, his Cas, is gone. And that's heartbreaking too.
And Emmanuel doing his "reading minds" stuff... By the end... Dean had to vomit again more things...
Tumblr media
Pay attention to Dean's words and the way he talks... He doesn't name "things that may hurt him" that people does... Like lying, or die. Betrayal. He didn't name it. He just says wherever it was, In one way he's avoiding those words... is hard for him to talk about this, after being depressed because of that. He confesses he always could endure those things then he repeats I always could with sorrow, because that was before Cas. Cas would be always different to him, in every aspect.
When he says... What Cas did he makes a pause... And his face is showing the pain, because what Cas did, that... He couldn't endure it. And here my friends, we have the confirmation, from Dean's mouth itself, he was in bad shape, depressed, suicidal, because of Castiel.
And he finished with a I don't know why, but we do, because we learned Cas is more than family. He's in love with Castel. And he'll discover this in season 8.
Remember Me
When Meg appears, Dean is worried she can tell the truth about Emmanuel's true identity, but it isn't just that... He really gets jealous...
Tumblr media
This scene is a classic but check out Dean's facial expression, he IS jealous. He remembers Castiel kissed her. And he remembers she was flirting with him, just like now. This confirm that if he was jealous of Meg, who get a hot kiss from CAS, how jealous he had felt for Daphne? Who actually was Emmanuel/Castiel's wife? Is just logic, my friends. Beacuse being a wife gets more benefits that just a kiss... Well we don't actually know if Emmanuel and her... You know what I mean, but Dean can imagine that they were a real couple... Ergo, yes. Dean was jealous of Daphne too.
Now... Let's talk about that scene that always makes me sigh... Damn...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: This silence is very uncomfortable. Is there something I should know?
MEG: I don't know. Dean?
DEAN: No. Meg has that effect. Awkward. You know?
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: That must be difficult for you.
MEG: Dean's making a joke, Emmanuel.
Tumblr media
I wanted to put the previous dialogue to give context... I think this is one of my fav angsty Destiel looks watching when he's not watching.
Each time I see it, my heart beats fast. Beacuse... This is Emmanuel, right? But Emmanuel is behaving like old Cas, not understanding the joke. Being literal and all of that. And he even chuckled a little when Meg explained to him it was a joke... So... Look at Dean... He's side eyeing him... Because that's his Cas, the clueless, and cute Cas. And I'm certainly sure this is one of the things he missed of him. The clueless and cute angel. I'm sure is one of the most beautiful and innocent characteristics of CAS that enchanted Dean. So... He watched him, secretly, in silence, Cas is there... But he doesn't remember. He doesn't remember him. He missed him, besides the pain of his betrayal, and the rage that doesn't let him forgive him easily... Besides of that... He missed him. His Cas. That's the look, a sad, longing, and melancholic look in Dean's face.
Then... It was time for Revelations...
EMMANUEL/CASTIEL: Why wouldn't you tell me? Being an angel – it sounds pleasant.
DEAN: It's not, trust me. It's bloody, it's corrupt. It's not pleasant.
Dean was protecting him? Trying not to loose Cas by telling him the truth? He needed him to heal his brother, so... It could be. But it was also true that... Knowing what he had done... Will be devastating for the angel. Dean knew it. Maybe he was trying to protect him.
MEG: He would know. You used to fight together.
Tumblr media
Meg said it, they were bestest friends, Emmanuel is in awe, and immediately he asks Am I Cas? And ashamed because he can't remember Dean, he averted his eyes to the ground. But those words are like dagas in Dean's heart. He doesn't remember him.
I understand why you did what you did
When Cas went to smite those demons, he began to recover his memories, and most of them were of Dean. When he comes back, he's puzzled, because he doesn't know why is he alive and the whole Godstiel mess kicked him hard, and most of all... Because he knew Dean's words in the car, full of anger and resentment, and pain were for him. He knows Dean can't forgive him. That's the worst for him.
So he tries to run away...
CASTIEL: What I did. What I became. Why didn't you tell me?
DEAN: Because Sam is dying in there.
CASTIEL: Because of me. Everything. All these people. I shouldn't be here.
The guilt in Case is huge, and Dean's words are knives for his heart.
DEAN: If you remember, then you know you did the best you could at the time.
This could be desperation because the only hope to save his brother was running away, but it also is because Dean didn't want to lose Castiel again. So, he threw this desperate quote, is kind of what his brain maybe was telling him the whole time to help him forgive Cas.
CASTIEL: Don't defend me. Do you have any idea the death toll in Heaven? On Earth?
Castiel's regrets and guilt again.
CASTIEL: We didn't part friends, Dean.
DEAN: So what?
Castiel recalls, he tried to fix things, but he couldn't, he couldn't apologize or even make Dean to forgive him. He remembers the break up of their friendship.
But Dean is willing to forget all of that, he needs him now, and he doesn't want to lose him. Is like what Cas did, it doesn't matter anymore, because... He doesn't want Cas to go away from him again.
CASTIEL: I deserved to die. Now, I can't possibly fix it... So why did I even walk out of that river?
That's the idea will remain in Castiel's mind for a long time from now. He thinks he deserves the biggest of the punishment. Death. For what he did. He killed angels, innocent people, he broke Sam's mind wall and he betrayed Dean.
DEAN: Maybe to fix it. Wait.
Dean wants him to know this could be a second chance for them.
And then...
Tumblr media
Dean kept Castiel's trenchcoat with him, he even moved from car to car. Why? Because he couldn't forget him. Because he needed to remember h. Because he was CAS, more than just family to him, and because (from the deleted dialogue) he felt inside he'll be back... Inside of his heart... Because he couldn't believe that was the end for them, their special friendship or wherever that was. It couldn't end like that.
And Cas is amazed, look at his face. He can't believe Dean kept that for him. And he can't say no to him. As always. His human weakness.
To Conclude:
This episode is huge in Destiel content. Each dialogue and facia expression in Case and Dean talks about the pain and angst, recalling their break up, and trying to fix something, little by little.
Dean was heartbroken, because he did find Cas, but he couldn't talk with him because he didn't remember him.
Dean missed Cas badly, and when he saw the angel was about to leave, he tried to convince not to go away again from him.
When Dean gave him back his trenchcoat, Cas couldn't say no. And we couldn't believe the hunter had kept the trenchcoat all this time! 😱
I hope you like this chronicle, it was very large!
See you in the next one!

The protective steak
CHAPTER 1
Pairings: platonic Seventeen/vernon, seventeen friendship, seventeen family/Vernon/Sofia
Genre: Hurt/Comfort, mild angst, AU
Warning: mild violence
Note: Seventeen is a mafia that does illegal things to help good people from bad people.
~~~
[Third person Pov]
~~~
It was a normal day. As normal as it could be for them being in the mafia. They had a normal mission of infiltrating a group of drug smugglers who were causing too much trouble on the streets of Seoul.
The plan was simple; Vernon, The8, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo and Scoups were to be the ones entering the premises in groups of three. Scoups, Jun and Hoshi had to mingle with the group of smugglers that wasn't that big in number, the smugglers had a meeting that Seventeen was aware of which is why they decided to act out the mission that day and time.
It wasnt difficult for three to blend in with their dirt covered face and filthy look that they seemed to pull of quite well. They just had to listen in on the meeting and figure out if there was particularly someone who brought their goods or if they did something else as well. The oy problem was that, they couldn't wear the stereo earbuds to communicate with other members but that was fine, it wasn't a big deal
While the other three had snuck off deeper into the area in search of the place where they stocked the drugs.
Quite simple if you ask them. They were also quite familiar with such simple missions. It wasnt anything special but just a normal job.
Woozi was guiding the members through their in ears while Jeonghan and Mingyu were waiting outside as their get away drivers.
"Wonwoo position?"
"We're outside the office which doesn't have that hard security."
"Yeah hyung is trying to muddle through it." Vernon supplied the answer which seemed to satisfy the rest of them.
"By the usual meeting time, you people have about 36 more minutes to get outside."
"That will be fine. Oh we're in." Wonwoo said in a deep voice that might not have any emotions in it but they could clearly hear the underlying victory in his tone.
The three walked in the office and slowly closed the door behind them.
It wasn't anything sophisticated rather consisted of a small table with 2 chairs on opposite sides facing each other. The room consisted of minimum furniture with a cabinet and a book shelf.
"Hopefully we will find the door behind the shelf." Hao said as the three pushed the shelf aside to locate a door.
"This feels very simple for a group doing a large damage." Vernon hummed and his reason seemed quite logical. It just felt like someone wasn't right but they didnt have time to dwell on their feelings as Wonwoo once again hacked through the password panel beside the door.
"Careful guys." Woozi warned in a small voice.
They just hummed in their ear piece to state their agreement.
"We're in." Hao stated in the matter of fact which was soon sounded by gasps from them.
"Guys?! What's wrong?" DK asked, his nervousness spilling in his voice
"Holy fucking shit hyung what in the world is this?!" A harsh whisper was sounded by Vernon. Their reactions only increased their curiosity.
"There aren't just drugs in here Woozi, there are people, there are dead people here." Wonwoo said which made the others a bit serious.
"Are we still supposed to plant the bombs here?" Hao asked, feeling complicated about the situation.
"They are dead anyways." Woozi spoke, the sound very cold but they knew better, they knew that the said person cared but he was cold in his decisions.
"But hyung.." Vernon whispered.
"Let's get on with it guys." Wonwoo stated in a sense of finality which made the two younger shut up and place the bombs around.
"20 minutes now."
They worked faster and set about 10 small bombs around the place and in the drug packets. That should do.
"GUYS?!" A frantic voice called out in a harsh whisper.
"The meeting is over, they are dispersing, you three need to get out of there." Scoups whisper shouted which raised panic among others.
"Yeah we are almost done." Wonwoo's calm voice traveled which did nothing to help their nerves whatsoever.
The three fastened themselves and were ready to leave through the door when someone held Vernon's hand. He was shocked at the contact and looked at the person whose hand it belonged to.
"Please." She whispered. She looked dead but wasn't, she was barely alive.
"Help" She whispered out with great difficulty.
Vernon was still. He didnt know what was happening. He was supposed to get out of there.
"Vernon what the hell are you doing, come fast!" A shout reached his ears which seemed to shake him out of his thoughts.
The other two looked back to notice the girl who held Vernon's hand. They were shocked to see someone alive.
Vernon turned around to face the girl completely, he knew he had to leave, the smugglers could come anytime soon but he was one of the good guys, he didnt leave people to die, he saved them.
Vernon bent down and took the girls hands in his own. She looked young, maybe a teenager at the most. She was seated on a wooden chair with her legs and hands tied to the arm rest, she had a loose scarf hanging around her neck which might have been used for covering her mouth.
"Are the others.." the incomplete question hung in the air but she understood, Are the others alive? He could check but there seed to be more than 10 people in there and they had no time.
"No no, only me.." She struggled to get the words out as tears flowed down her face.
Vernon knew that he had to get out, he swiftly cut the rope around her limbs with his dagger. He put one arm under her legs while the other supported her back.
" I'll get you dont worry." He whispered comforting words and started towards the door.
" We have to hurry up!" Wonwoo all but dragged Vernon out as Hao kept pushing him from back.
They heard noises in the corridor and quickly entered one of rooms to avoid any confrontation.
There were 15 minutes for the bomb to blow up.
"Where the hell are you people?!? You were supposed to be out by now!" He heard the angry voice of Jeonghan which voiced out his concern.
"We will be there hyung, we are fine, got held up but we are fine." Wonwoo stated calmly.
The voices seemed to decrease so they figured that people were away by now. They just had to reach another door which had an air vent which had a window through which they will leave.
"Let's go." Hao quickly ran to the door followed by the other two. The girl didnt weigh a lot which made it easier for Vernon to carry her.
The three entered the room and locked the door. They walked to the window which was considerably high.
"You go up first and then I'll pass her to you, and then you jump out, okay?" Wonwoo quickly explained while Vernon just nodded and passed the girl over to Wonwoo.
"Who is her?" Came a confused voice of Dino.
"What the fuck is taking you people so much time?!" Scoups sounded really angry.
"Are you three out?"
"Yeah we are in the car." Jun said to which the three relaxed a bit.
Vernon sat on the window ledge while Wonwoo passed to girl to him and he jumped down followed by the other two.
"10 minutes for blow up!" Woozi warned and they heard the complaints of many members for them to hurry up.
Just a short way and they will be in the car but then it happened.
The feeling of something came true when Vernon felt a gun pressed to the nape of his neck and were surrounded by 7 other men who held different sorts of weapons in their hands.
"Look who it is" He felt chills creep up as he slowly turned around to face a huge burly guy who held a sinister smile on his face. He looked hideous with his oily hair matted and his yellow teeth that gave an unpleasant look and he smelt worse then he looked.
"Guys?!"
"Vernoni!"
"What is happening Wonwoo yah!?"
"Hao?!"
"Shit?!"
He heard many voices in his year but the one that stood out was a whimper of fear from the girl in his arms.
He bought her closer to him. He felt the need to protect her.
"What do you want?" Wonwoo questioned with a voice that gave chills and Vernon saw hesitancy in his eyes.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that." The sickly sweet smile was even more hideous.
They had to fight, they had less time before the building blew up, atleast the part where they stood coz the room was nearby.
"And you also took my little prisoner." He now brought the gun to girl and softly stroked her cheek with it. Vernon grew with rage.
He quickly ducked and swiftly tripped the guy with his foot and kicked the gun out of his hands. This seemed to start the fight as Wonwoo and Hao quickly got fighting with the others who ran to them. The guy got up and removed two knives as he came at him and then there was another guy who came at him from behind. It was hard to fight off two people while holding someone in his arms but he made sure to not get her more hurt. Soon a knife was thrown at him or rather at the girl but he caught the knife in his arms which cause a huge gash on his palm as he threw the knife down. It hurt. He struggled to keep his whispers in.
The burly guy knocked into him which mad him fall down and he placed the girl on the ground and got up. He has to end this fast. He quickly took out his dagger and aimed it at the other guy and it was a clean pierce right through his heart and dead. The other guy looked at him in fear while handol ran towards him but the shot echoed through the space which made Vernon halt slowly as he looked down at his abdomen while he slowly bought his plam up to press to the wound. This wont stop him.
He took a stick that was lying near him and in a blink of the eye the stick flew through the air and slammed onto the guy which knocked the gun of his hand.
Vernon picked the gun and aimed at the guy before him. He never shot anyone he wasn't asked to or if it wasn't self defense. This case involved neither but he hurt the girl in his arms. That protective steak in him rised for some reason. That steak grew at hearing the whimper sof the girl upon seeing the guy. And that alone was the reason why Vernon wanted to hurt him, he wanted to shoot him and carve out that face of his. He wanted to hit him continuously and badh his face on stone.
He settled for kicking the guy in the head and shooting at a place where he knew even if he survive would hurt him like hell.
He shot the guy on his right foot toes which erupted from him a scream so loud and next he shot him on the palm of his right hand then left then he aimed the gun at his knee cap and shot out. It was cold, too cold and mean of him. He never behaved this way which is why Wonwoo and Hao stood facing him with gaping mouths but they didnt comment on it thankfully.
He turned around to look at the girl sitting down who looked at him with wide eyes full of fear as tears flowed down her face. Oh shit.
Vernon slowly walked towards her so she doesn't get scared and bent down while his palm was pressed tightly on his wound. He looked at girl and answered sincerely,"I'm sorry but he wasn't a good guy, I promise we wont hurt you." At those words the tears seemed to slow down but small sobs still came from her.
Wonwoo came forward to carry the girl as he noticed that vernon has a wound. Wonwoo carried the girl while Hao supported Vernon and the hurriedly walked further for the next 5 minutes with greatvstruggke and they sneaked out of the premises through an abandoned door and walked out, no one suspected them since many people were seen carrying others. How many wer killed here? a question floated in their minds.
They rushed towards the car which was parked on the sidewalk a little further away to really concerned looking members and quickly climbed in the car. They noticed the girl in Wonwoo's arms but made no comment on it. They can talk about that later.
As soon as the car started moving the side of the building erupted in a huge bang as debris showered down but they were at a safe distance from the building. A few seconds later they heard another bang and then another.
It was over. They finished it. They were fine and on the way home. Vernon looked down at the girl lying on the seat with her head placed on his lap,who looked asleep but he knew she fainted and right now he didnt have any equipment or food or water to give. They have to wait till they get back home. And he felt energy draining him as blood loss continued but he didnt tell anyone. He was very tired to do anything and they didn't question him because they thought he was just tired.

Chapter 2: Morning Meeting
The loud, repetitive beeping of the alarm shook Ink out of his slumber. He didn't dare open his eyes, his head felt too groggy and hazy to even think about properly waking up, however his alarm didn't fail its job of annoying him awake. Despite having no true emotions and having to rely on bottles of paint to feel, Ink made it day to day acting - almost - like a normal monster. He was happy, sassy, bright, he got annoyed *very* easily, and... he was forgetful. Was that an emotion? Ink didn't know, no one ever told him. No one explained exactly what feelings were to him. Since he FELT forgetful, he just assumed it was a feeling everyone got, just like happiness or sadness or whatever else.
Ink opened his eyes to a ceiling marbled silver and gold and walls filled with papers and ideas, sketches mostly. Color peeked through every few inches, giving the room an incomplete feeling and giving Ink the adequate motivation to get up. He hated incomplete things, hated the way it made his head ache and his spine tingle and his chest tighten. He switched the alarm off, wincing at the bright red colored numbers. 6:30. He slid his legs off the bed onto the hardwood floor, not bothering to make the bed. By his logic he was going to sleep in it again in a few hours and felt no reason to waste time on tidying it. Although it was quite contradictory to his hate of incompletion, Ink just didn't have the energy to care about the bed. It wasn't like magic or a drawing; sometimes it doesn't do what you want it to. Some days the fabric is just wrinkly, for example.
He stood up slowly, careful to not jostle his skull too much, and wove his way through the stacks of notebooks and papers and whatnot, careful not to knock anything over as he made his way to the door, the only think uncovered by paper. He took his sash off of the hanger set off to the side and made his way through the house to the living room. It was empty.
Ink was then hit with the memory of the previous night, realizing his mistake far to late.
Meanwhile, Blue was already awake in his tidy room, silently scribbling away ideas and plans at his large desk. He rarely needed sleep and he considered himself lucky, for the most part. He had only slept 3 hours the night before, but he didn't dare go to the kitchen or turn on any significant light source, in case Dream was awake. Dream was like an older and overprotective sibling, however Blue refrained from considering Dream a brother.
He wrote down idea after idea, answer after question, in beautiful cursive handwriting. He was almost done when a soft alarm went off in his pocket. He took out his rather modern phone, shutting off the buzzing immediately. He sighed softly, looking at the time. 6:30 already. Unlike the other Star Sanses and despite what people thought about Blue, he preferred to keep his phone on a dark setting and color scheme. In fact, most objects in his room where either a soft neutral color or a darker color. His eyes didn't burn that way.
He stood up, putting his pen down and pulling out a sweatshirt to wear instead of a tang top. It reminded him of his battle body. He never put it on anymore. He was pretty sure he burned it or at least tossed it. In the past. He shook his head, pulling the grey article of clothing over his skull and left the room soundlessly. He wasn't in the mood to get snapped at by either of his teammates, and no amount of them saving him could put him in the mood for that.
He stopped before going into the living room, taking a second to stop and self reflect. He was still riled up from being kidnapped just two days ago, plus last night's argument between Dream and Ink, and he needed some time to calm himself. He couldn't go into battle like this or even simply have a civilized discussion without his survival instincts kicking in. He had to tell Ink and Dream about it but he had no idea how the two would react. He wanted to put it off but if something happened than he would have no choice. Despite this, he decided to wait.
Blue casually strolled into the room, sitting down besides Ink on the couch, who seemed to be just... blah. "Mornin' Blue," Ink mumbled with a sour biting tone. "Good morning, Ink. Did you sleep well?" Blue inquired softly, keeping his naturally attention seeking voice low. Ink let out a 'hmpf', and let his head flop backwards. "I got sleep but there was no quality to it, if you understand what I mean." Blue didn't quite know what he meant, but he nodded believably anyways.
Dream suddenly walked into the room with a bright and happy pace. "Up and at 'em you two! We have things to do today." Ink groaned rather dramatically, and Blue sighed in frustration. Blue was generally a bright and happy person, but... today he was just so out of it. He was recovering, for Christ's sake. He wasn't happy about being kidnapped at all, and he had a lot on his mind lately.
But, being him, Blue reflected a bit on what the other two are dealing with. First off, they were immortal GODS who needed to protect and help the millions of AUs out in their Multiverse at any cost. That was already almost a good enough reason to spare them a lecture. And Blue could see why having an active mortal ally would be stressful to deal with, especially when going up against the Dark Sanses, who are by far the most dangerous beings out there. The two Gods had to watch their FRIEND get manhandled and get beaten within an inch of his life every single time they went out to fight. It must be hard on them. But Blue had to really wonder for a second. If they cared so much about him, why would they leave him to get kidnapped? The way it happened was quite stereotypical.
Before Blue could start becoming self conflicted, and start another argument within himself, a screeching ringing startled the three skeletons out of any security and peace they'd found in the last few minutes. Dream flinched harshly and wiped his head to the side and glared at the telephone with an intensity that could slice diamond. Blue had a deep blue bone club materialized in his hand in an instant, his stance tense and ready to strike at a moment's notice. Ink had his paintbrush in hand, his eyes already red, pointed and alert, his body language radiating an aura that could startle the most conditioned soldier.
But it was just a telephone call. After a few moments of just sitting there staring daggers and curses into the poor phone, Blue huffed and flopped back down on the couch with a soft thud and dissipated his club. Ink relaxed soon after, not dismissing his brush yet, and Dream grabbed the phone swiftly, not wasting another second. "Hello?... Uh, yes, we have plenty of time... Yes, we're all here toge..." Dream trailed off and his eyesockets widened, a glimmer of happiness dancing across his face. Blue and Ink looked curiously at their teammate, the two sensing either mischief or pure and utter relief and joy coming their way. Or maybe both.
"OHMYGOSHYESI'LLTELLTHEMASAP" Dream blurted, looking at Blue and Ink with a stupid wide grin. "Core found a lot of useful information about the concert thing. They said that they are actually pretty proud of their work!!" Ink cocked a bone brow in confusion and spoke with a cautious tone. "It's great they found that but... what do you mean that they're 'actually proud'? Core loves all the things that they help with."
Blue looked at the two skeletons with a tired glance. "Nevermind that Ink, make a portal already," Dream snapped and quivered with excitement. Ink rolled his eyes and and stood up with his brush, making a portal to Core. Core took a step into the room with a stack of notebooks, binders, and papers and smiled politely. "Nice to see you all again. I have some useful info."
The Star Sanses all smiled softly, except Dream, who was practically vibrating with pure euphoria. "Please sit down on the couch, Core!" Dream grinned as he ushered the monochrome seer to the couch. Dream wedged his way between Ink and Blue, hissing at the latter quietly to scoot. He patted the remaining space besides him for Core, who smiled brightly and laid their stuff out on the empty coffee table in front of them.
Blue blinked a bit, listening as Core started to explain and habitually ignoring Dream's rude gesture. It wasn't a full on conversation, so it was somewhat easier for Blue to follow. Everyone settled in, patiently listening. "So," Core began.
"I have gathered some information about the concert, and although it isn't much to go off of, it's enough to give an idea about how... well, in honesty how thought out this entire event is. First off, general stuff. The place is set in an empty AU, titled "\\\\\tale" and has 3 fixated portal ports, presumably for crowd control. It is accessible by every AU, which may be a problem with culture clash and whatnot. And the date and time is pretty straightforward, maybe they rely on people to translate timezones? We may need to do our part in sending out important points to others if that's the case. The music selection will mostly consist of EDM, house, alternative rock, electro, and remixes of all sorts of other things. Any more info is in these files here."
Ink interrupted quickly. "Uh, I've never heard of \\\\\tale. What is it?" Core hummed for a second, than reached towards a binder, flipping through organized pages filled with notes and a greyscale color spectrum. After a while, Core ran their finger across a line or two, their lips moving ever so slightly in sync. "Oh, it's just an empty copy. Nothing dangero-"
Ink coughed, and pushed away from the three on the couch, and puked putred black ink all over the light colored carpet. Blue made a somewhat frustrated, somewhat skeptical grunting sound, and raced to the closest closet to grab cleaning supplies before the ink stained the carpet. Well, badly, anyways. Dream rushed over to Ink, holding him up a bit while Core sped off to the kitchen with a pitiful "oh dear".
Core scurried back to the living room with a rag and a glass of water in tow. Blue waited until Ink was safely seated on the couch before he began cleaning the carpet vigorously, spraying anti-stain detergent onto the pale flooring, and not holding back with scrubbing. This almost reminded him of the honey-stained floors of his bro's... Blue resisted the urge to knock on his head to erase those past-thoughts out.
Ink rubbed his head, mumbling a soft apology. "Uh..." Ink started slowly. "What were we talking about again..?" Blue sighed, and muttered quiet annoyed curses to himself. Before anyone else could react, Ink glared at Blue, albeit hazily, and he growled defensively. "What's *your* problem..?" Blue glanced up at Ink with a blank expression. "Ink, I'm sorry, but the last few days have been a bit hard on me, and you and Dream as well. I didn't want to deal with your... uh... condition, so to speak on top of everything else."
Ink paused, his facial expression unreadable. Then, slowly but surely, it twisted into confusion. "What the heck happened? And you mean the puking thing right?" Blue sighed and inquired with a gentle but firm tone, balancing between patient and angry, "Do you remember ANYTHING about the concert?" Ink's eyes narrowed in suspicious perplexity, and he shook his head. Blue huffed, picking the cleaning supplies back up and placing them back where they belonged.
Dream sighed softly, putting his hand on the back of his fellow immortal. "Ink, I'll fill you in on what happened." Blue sat down in his spot, Core sitting down next to the former. Ink stared at Blue for a second, as Blue stared at nothingness with an exhausted expression. "Blue...?" Dream asked after noticing his teammates vacant air. Blue looked at the people on the couch with him, and slowly voiced his concern. "We need to work on Ink's memory." Ink looked somewhat offended, but before Blue could elaborate his reasoning, Ink blurted out in outrage.
"Yeah, you think I haven't tried?! I've tried taking notes, sending it on my phone, using connections to things or whatever!" Blue blinked at the outburst, surprised Ink got furious about such a thing. He wasn't exactly a self conscious person... maybe feelings from the fight with Dream last night were putting pressure on his already poor self control. "Well, uh... maybe there's something we haven't tried yet..?" Blue suggested. Blue felt rather helpless. Maybe he should have waited until Ink was filled in on the situation before pointing out the age-old nuisance that plagued his mind.
Ink scoffed, averting his eyes from Blue, with a shaky hiss. "Even if there were alternatives... I don't want to hear them right now. I. Don't. Care." Blue stiffened at the tone, that phrase always seemed to bring back memories after all. He took a deep breath, and-
"Ink, please calm yourself!" Dream begged. Blue blinked and nodded in agreement. "Please?" Ink glared at Blue and Dream. An eternity of silence and harsh tension passed. There was only hostility and anger in Ink's gaze. He was truly offended that Blue thought that it was an easy thing to fix.
Blue was... not in a good mindset. He wanted to smack Ink for not using his brain, he felt like crying or screaming. He wanted to snap at the others for not prioritizing such a huge problem that really needed to be fixed. He was so frustrated and stressed, and he was just so overwhelmed. He was sad and hurt that Ink turned on him so fast as well.
Dream and Core sat helplessly as Ink continued with his rant. "You know what? NO!" he screamed at Blue, grabbing his upper arm with a steely death grip. Dream gasped, reaching out to Ink to make him stop, but Ink pushed him back down. "Dude what the-" Blue panicked. It was too familiar. Too close. Too parental.
Core sat uselessly on the couch. They were worried out of their mind, as well as Dream, but they simply didn't know any of the skeletons, besides Ink, to do anything for them in the situation. If they said something, they were truly worried about the repercussions that would stem from Ink later on.
Blue struggled to get away from the Protector's angry grasp, his mind tittering between pure panic and a sense of normalcy. Ink dragged Blue to a back room. Dream sprinted after the two other skeletons before jumping and holding Ink in place. He could sense that all Ink wanted to do was to hurt Blue, and it made Dream *sick*. Blue released himself from Ink, running to his room before he had the chance to get caught again.
"ALL I WANTED TO TO WAS TALK TO HIM IN A SEPARATE ROOM!" Ink screamed at Dream and he tried to struggle out of his companion's grip. Dream held on tighter and said in a calming voice. "No, you didn't. You wanted to hurt him all because he wanted to get rid of your memory problem. He didn't know it would offend you." Ink still struggled, although too a much lesser degree. "C-c'mon Dream! That was a horrible time to bring it up though! Give me some credit here!" Dream squeezed tighter. "You don't deserve credit here, Inky. Calm down, please." Ink stopped struggling, and began to melt into the tight grip. "I... I'm so sorry..." he whispered. "You need to apologize to Blue, not me. But I forgive you anyways! And, uh, give Blue a minute to cool off before talking. He's probably really mad." Dream released his hug, and looked at Ink as Ink smiled. "Ok.."
The two walked back to the living room where Core was sitting. Dream was beginning to shake as he sat down on the couch, and Core noticed. "Dream..?" Core asked fearfully. "I'm fi... fine..." The sentence started out confident, but then Dream shivered and collapsed on Ink, who was beside him. Ink flinched, as he started to panic as well. "Uh??" Ink's confused voice rasped. "Oh. Uh. Dream probably passed out because of the abundance of negative emotions," Core commented calmly. "It would make sense after all."
Ink nodded, getting up after shrugging Dream off of his side onto the couch so that he was laying where Ink was formerly sitting. Core got off of the couch, lifting Dream's legs up and helped Ink shift Dream's unconscious form into a seemingly comfortable position. A blanket was draped over Dream, and the Guardian of Positivity's golden crown was removed and placed on the table.
Meanwhile, Blue laid on his bed, experiencing one of the worst panic attacks he's ever had. He was in the past, and the present and future paid him no mind.

Hate, worry, apprehension, fear, anxiety, panic, frustration, anger, nervousness, sadness, and betrayal.
Nightmare's single resting eye opened from his slumber. He took a deep breath, relieved at the singular negative emotions coming from an unknown source. He stood from his simple bed, leaving and walking towards the kitchen, where his fa-... minions were eating breakfast.
"Mornin' Boss!" Cross grinned. "Good morning everyone," Nightmare greeted, walking to the coffee machine, by which Horror was leaning on the counter, his singular eyesight fixated on the filling pot. "What's gotten you up so early?" Horror inquired, slowly. He was never a quick speaker, and the gang respected that. "You're one to talk," Killer snickered. Everyone responded with various levels of laughter and chuckles. "Well," Nightmare began. "I woke up because there was a huge influx of negative emotions from some random unknown place. And I have a feeling that if we go there, we can really fuck up whoever has those feeling, y'know?"
Dust grinned creepily. "Soo you're saying this isn't a slaughter, but a torture?" Nightmare chuckled, "That's one way of putting it. I have the coordinates so we can go right after breakfast. I've never seen code like it before though, we should be careful." All the Sanses agreed, as they began to cook and sip on their preferred drinks.
Little do they know...
