Still With You | A Jeon Jungkook Series | Chapter Seven
Tumblr media
Summary: Jungkook introduces you to his Hyungs but his jealous streak comes out and shows you the worst of him Pairing : Luna (reader) x Jungkook and Jimin, f2l love triangle Word Count: 4.5k~ Warnings: JEALOUS JUNGKOOK like I mean jealous, possessive, territorial the whole nine yards (and it's pretty hot ngl lmaooo) which leads into an argument, explicit language (I think?) making out and all that stuff a/n: I have part one through eleven written already so I figured I would just post this to fill up some space until the next update for my other stories :) Start from the beginning
As Jungkook leads me towards his hyungs I feel myself getting a little anxious. I know I'm safe with Jungkook but I'm on edge nonetheless since I'm still not sure why we're here. The guys turn their backs and start walking towards the building behind them and we follow close behind.
Looking around I notice that this place almost looks like the bare bones of a warehouse but from the looks of it someone has been working on remodeling it.
Once we get to the back Namjoon opens a door and leads us down a set of stairs onto what looks like a boardwalk. I knew we were getting close to the coast but I didn't realize we could get to a place like this so quickly.
As we make our way down the boardwalk I take that time to look at all the little shops lined up on either side of us that have been long forgotten and start to imagine what this place might've looked like in its heyday.
Getting too lost in thought I feel myself trip on a loose board, and before I even have a chance to react I feel a pair of hands on my waist steadying me before I fall.
"Hey daydreamer, you alright?" Tae says with an amused smile. "Yeah, sorry" I say, quickly tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear that had fallen out of place. "You don't need to apologize" he says warmly "Just watch your step okay? Do you want to hold my hand just in case?" he offers.
"No she's fine, I'll help her" Jungkook says coming out of nowhere and pulling me in by my waist from behind. With my back now up against his chest and his arm wrapped around my waist protectively I give Tae an awkward smile but I can see from his expression that he's clearly enjoying Jungkook's reaction. "Let me know if you change your mind" he says sending a not so subtle wink my way and giving Jungkook a devilish smile clearly taunting him.
"What is this place?" I ask aloud in hopes to direct Jungkook's attention to something other than boring holes into the back of Tae's head. "It's an old boardwalk that my uncle just bought" Namjoon answers having overheard my question.
"It used to be super popular back when he was younger but I guess people stopped coming once that new shopping mall opened up a couple of miles down the road. They ended up losing too much business so they finally closed up about 20 years ago, it's kind of been frozen in time ever since. He just started working on restoring it and he finally finished the arcade about a week ago, so I thought I would finally invite you guys to come and check it out!" he continues. He seems to be putting on a laid back act but I can tell he's really excited to show us.
I look up at Jungkook with my back still pressed against his chest and notice that he hasn't made an effort to follow the guys into the arcade. "Is everything alright?" I say seeing his jaw clenching. "Jungkook" I say hoping to bring his attention back over to me.
"Huh? What? What'd you say?" he says finally breaking out of that possessive headspace. "I asked you if everything was alright? You seem a bit tense" I say turning around to face him. "Everything's fine, it's just, I didn't like the way he was looking at you" he says finally admitting to his jealousy.
"I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it, from my perspective it seemed like he was trying to get a reaction out of you and you gave him exactly what he wanted" I say placing my hand on his arm.
"Kook I'm here with you. I came to meet your friends but I promise you, you have nothing to worry about" I say looking into his eyes trying to convey my sincerity. He looks away from mine and huffs, "Maybe it wasn't a good idea to introduce you guys".
"Aw come on they're harmless!" I say laughing at how moody he's been ever since we got here. "Plus Tae was just trying to make sure that I didn't fall" I say explaining the situation. "Yeah I know, I saw" he says looking back down at me. "So then why are you still upset?" I ask hoping to help him make sense of situation.
"I didn't like the way he was touching you either" he says, continuing to justify his reaction. "Oh come on it wasn't that bad, see?" I say placing his hands where Tae had touched me. Looking back up at him I now realize what he meant, and feel my heart rate pick up under his gaze.
"See" I say, clearing my throat, "It's nothing" I continue trying my best to convince him. He looks down at me and I can feel my skin burning up from the intensity of his stare, and then let out a small gasp as he quickly pulls me in by the waist.
"Now is it nothing?" he says into my ear in a tone that wakes up all of my sense. "Tae didn't do this" I respond in a breathless tone feeling the mood change drastically.
"Yeah, but he could've" he says continuing to speak directly into my ear, feeling his warm breath fanning my neck. He leans in closer and I soon feel his soft lips placing feather light kisses on my neck and now exposed shoulder.
"Jungkook" I choke out trying to keep a level tone. "What if someone sees?" I continue once I realize he isn't stopping. "Good, because then they'll know who you belong to" he says stopping his kisses only long enough to respond. He increases the intensity of his actions and walks towards me placing my back up against the wall of the building behind me.
I hiss slightly once I feel him start to bite and suck one spot, now realizing what he's doing. Before I'm given a chance to protest he crashes his lips against mine, swallowing the beginnings of an argument.
The kiss is rough from the very start, feeling him kiss, bite and suck on my lips with more intensity than I've ever felt. I try to suppress a moan from coming out but it's impossible from the way he has my head spinning.
Feeling myself running out of breath I press on his chest firmly and he pulls away from the kiss, resting his forehead against mine. Looking into his eyes and seeing the way he's looking at me makes it even harder to breathe let alone think and before I have a chance to say anything he whispers "Mine".
"Hey are you guys coming in or what?" Jin yells from the doorway. Jungkook takes a deep breath and calls out "Yeah we'll be there in a minute Hyung" not making efforts to move away from me just yet, but nonetheless Jin in turn retreats inside.
"I don't want anyone else touching you like this. Do you understand?" He says firmly. "Jungkook I already told yo-" I start in protest still feeling breathless. "I don't care. I just want you to know that I don't want anyone else being this close to you" he says cutting me off and making his stance clear.
"Okay" I respond, not really knowing what else to say. "But did you really have to give me a hickey to prove your point?" I question rolling my eyes at him.
"No, but it was a nice touch" he says with a smirk rubbing his thumb over the mark. "Oh so giving me swollen lips from making out wasn't gonna be enough for you?" I call after him as he walks away towards the arcade. "Nope" is all he bothers to say before opening the door and waiting for me to catch up.
"You're insufferable" I say as I walk past him and he gives me a light slap on my ass in response. I glare at him but am cut off before I can even utter a word of scolding by Namjoon asking me to come and play a basketball game with him. Gladly accepting I take the first chance I have to escape Jungkook before giving it a second thought.
"Have you played this game before?" he questions and then glances down at my neck where I can only assume is the place where Jungkook's mark has started to bloom.
"Uh yeah I have" respond shortly, turning away from him to place it out of his line of sight. He starts the game without any other questions and we keep going until the timer runs out.
"Yes!" he says exclaims in victory. "Yah!" Jin exclaims, having seen the exchange. "Don't be rude, you challenged her to your favorite game so of course you won" he further scolds. "It's okay Jin, I'm not very good to begin with but it was still fun!" I say trying to lighten the mood.
"Why don't you pick out a game and then we'll see who wins next" he says giving me a genuine smile which happens to be accompanied by two adorable dimples. "Sure! Best two out of three?" I propose excited for another chance at victory. "Best two out of three" he repeats in agreement.
"I would propose to play a few more but my guess is that he won't let me keep you for that long" he continues, nodding his head towards Jungkook who has his eyes trained on the both of us. "He can get over himself" I say turning back towards Namjoon.
"Now, what would you say to playing a round of Guitar Hero?" I ask excitedly. "I would say I should just accept defeat right away" he admits laughing at his lack of luck with said game. "Oh come on it'll be fun!" I say trying my best convince him to play. "Alright let's get this over with" he says shaking his head and laughing, knowing the future result.
"Man... you really do suck at this game Hyung" Tae says after watching the beating Namjoon just took from me. "Hey he tried his best" I say placing a hand on his shoulder trying my best to keep my composure.
"It's okay Luna you can laugh" he says giving me a painful smile. I can't help but break after being given permission and feel Tae joining right along side me as we laugh for a bit at Namjoon's clumsiness.
"I'm sorry Namjoon" I say, still trying to calm down. "It's okay, and call me Joon okay? Namjoon sounds way too formal coming from you" he says playfully.
"Alright Joon" I start, complying with his request. "What should our tiebreaker game be?" I ask, feeling the tingling sensation of victory continue to run through my veins. "Hmm" he says looking around the room before laying his eyes on a particular spot.
"Air hockey?" he suggests. I can see from his expression that he's trying to hide his confidence under an indifferent demeanor but what he doesn't know is that I haven't lost a game of air hockey in 7 years. Even Jungkook with his competitive spirt refuses to play with me anymore. "Sure, why not?" I respond following suit in trying to conceal my excitement.
Walking up to the table I look over at Jungkook and see he's still there watching me closely and I can see a smirk slowly growing on his lip. I don't make an effort to give him a reaction in return and turn back towards the table to grab a hold of the mallet. I feel the air turn on and notice that the puck comes out on Namjoon's side.
"Why don't you start?" he says making moves to hand me the puck. "No that's okay, age before beauty" I say and hear the boys laugh at my response as they all seem to have drawn their attention towards our tiebreaker challenge. "This is gonna be good" I hear Tae whisper to Hobi but I try my best to not let our little audience psyche me out.
Taking a deep breath I watch as Joon starts to place the puck on the table and sends it my way. I in turn send it back to him but bypass his mallet and hear the clinking sound signaling my first point.
All the guys react by laughing, cheering or teasing, but as the game continues I have yet to hear one voice during the entire match but I do my best to keep my head in the game nonetheless.
Once the time clock is close to running out I hear the boys countdown from ten and then feel that same thrilling sensation of victory I've felt time and time again as they finally shout out zero.
I celebrate my victory for a second or two along with the guys but after taking a couple of steps back from the table I cut my cheers short as I feel myself hit a wall of muscle accompanied by arm slowly wrapping around my waist.
"Good job Noona" Jungkook says in a low voice fanning his breath against my neck again making me shiver at the unexpected contact. "How many wins in a row is that now?" he continues, speaking softly enough so I'm the only who can hear. "I-i've lost count" I stutter for a second and clear my throat immediately after.
"I'd expect nothing less from my champion" he says as he rubs his nose into the side of my neck, taking a second to gently breathe in my scent before taking a step back making his hold a little less intimate.
"Wow Luna! I had no idea you would be that good! I can see why Jungkook has always been so competitive being friends with someone like you" Hobi says with a big smile on his face. "Thanks! I think?" I say confused as to if I should take it as a compliment.
"You're a worthy opponent Luna, I'll give you that" Joon says coming up to me and giving me a high five. "You too! Not gonna lie, it bruised my ego a bit losing the first game but I guess you could say it kickstarted my competitive nature" I laugh.
"Thanks for asking me to play with you!" I continue, giving him a friendly smile. "Anytime" he responds reciprocating my smile. "Hey Hyung I think Jin Hyung is looking for you" Jungkook says while pulling me in closer. "Oh alright, I guess I'll go see what he wants then" he says and makes his way over to the man in question.
"You know you don't have to do this right?" I say turning around to face Jungkook who is still holding me. "Do what?" he says feigning innocence. "This" I say running one on my hands up his arm. "I always do this though" he says in defense. "Jungkook I already told you that I'm not interested in any of them" I say trying to reassure him yet again.
"It's not you that I'm worried about, it's them" he says glancing over at his Hyungs, now surrounding Yoongi and Hobi while they compete in some sort of racing game. I don't bother to look at them for too long so as to not give him another reason to be jealous and continue on with our discussion.
"What about them? They didn't do anything" I say confused, "We were just playing games, it's not like they hugged me or something. You made it very clear from the start that you didn't want that to happen" I say trying to explain away whatever he was worrying about.
"You do realize that almost all of them were checking you out the whole time right? Especially when you were leaning over the table" he says sliding his hand down lower on my waist. "Jungkook it's whatever, don't let it bother you" I say trying my best to get him to drop it but he persists nonetheless.
"But it does bother me Luna. I'm in love with you, and I know you haven't fully figured out how you feel about me so, I don't know, I can't help but feel insecure" he finally fully admits.
"Jungkook I'm sorry but I don't want to rush into something right now. Give me some time and I'll let you know soon okay?" I say in hopes to reassure him that I'm still thinking about us. He nods his head in response and leans in to kiss me and I turn my face to the side and make him place it on my cheek instead.
"Time Kook" is all I say and pull away from him before he can pout any further.
Walking over to watch the madness that is this racing game unfold I feel someone take a hold of my hand. "Luna can I talk to you for a second?" Jin says as I turn and make eye contact with him. I politely slide my hand out of his grasp and nod my head yes, following him to the other side of the room so we can talk.
"What's up?" I ask looking up and seeing his unreadable expression. "Is everything alright between you and Jungkook?" he questions straight away. "Yeah! Why wouldn't they be?" I question trying to figure out exactly what he's trying to ask me.
"Well, ever since I saw you guys get out of Jungkook's car I noticed that things were really tense between the two of you. I know we just met, and I haven't really seen what your relationship with Jungkook is like normally, but I can tell that there's something going on" he continues doing his best to be considerate but also wanting to get some answers out of me.
"I just want to make sure that you're feeling safe and comfortable around him. I know you guys have been friends for forever from what Jungkook has said but I just want you to know that if you ever need to talk or want me to talk to him just let me know" he finishes, fully explaining his motives. I'm taken aback by his maturity and observation of the dynamic that Jungkook and I have going on and am honestly touched by his concern.
"Thank you Jin that really means a lot to me. Things are kind of rocky and uncertain between us right now but we'll get through it" I say trying to wrap things up neatly. "How long ago did he tell you he has feelings for you?" Jin says not wanting to drop the subject.
My eyes widen realizing that Jin saw a lot more than I wanted him to when he came outside. "I- um-" I fumble for a second before settling on just telling him the truth. "Last night" I admit.
"And what did you say?" he prods further. "I told him that I needed time to figure things out. I just barely caught onto the fact that he might have feelings for me a few days ago so everything about our relationship has just switched up drastically and I just haven't had time to think about it all" I respond dropping my gaze to the floor.
"You're scared of losing him aren't you?" he ask when he knows for a fact that he's right. I nod my head in response not really knowing how else to respond. "Luna, that boy is crazy about you! He's always thinking about you and bringing you up in any and every conversation he can. Not to mention how many times he's ditched us to go see you. Not that I'm complaining" he laughs trying to lighten the mood.
"He would always tell us how much he likes you and would pout when you were taking too long to respond or had to cancel on him because of work. I highly doubt you would ever lose him even if you tried" he says smiling down at me. "
All I'm trying to say is that he loves you and cares for you a lot. If you want him to back off let me know and I'll talk to him. I know what it feels like to be put under pressure, especially when it comes to relationships so know that I'm here for you if you need anything" he finishes.
I thank Jin for his advice and make my way back over to the guys just in time to see Yoongi cross the finish line. Unfortunately for Hobi he comes in last, having somehow managed to get his car stuck going backwards off a cliff and can't seem to get it to respawn in time to catch up.
While Hobi does his best to get Yoongi to give him a rematch I feel someone bumping their shoulder into mine and turn to see Tae looking down at me. We make eye contact and then see him turn his head over to another part of the arcade and makes his was over there.
I turn back towards the group of guys trying to find Jungkook in the crowd and notice that he's finally taken his eyes off of me to talk to Namjoon. I take that as my chance and follow after him to see what exactly he's wanting to do.
"Hey Luna" he says with a soft smile leaving me retuning his greeting and inquire as to why he's brought me over here. "I just wanted to see if you're having fun. You really killed it in that game against Namjoon hyung" he says with an amused smile. "Yeah it was really fun! I'm glad he asked me to play" I say truthfully turning my attention over to the other games in that area.
"Have you ever played this game?" he motions over to a Zombie Apocalypse simulator. He walks over towards it and I watch as he climbs inside the little two seater cubby that shows the war torn landscape on a big screen. I walk over to it and observe the setup.
"I haven't. Is it scary?" I ask, apprehensive to trying out such an immersive game. "I don't really think so, you just gotta keep on telling yourself it's not real but also do your best to defend yourself. It's a delicate balance" he says with an encouraging tone.
"You wanna try it out?" he offers, scooting away from me so I can sit next to him. "Sure" I say coming around to the idea after hearing his explanation. He pats the space next to him inviting me inside and hands me the gun that is directly in front of me once I get inside.
I mutter a quick thanks and feel myself getting a bit nervous from being this close to him but I do my best to focus on the task at hand.
"You ready?" he asks making moves to set up the game. "Ready as I'll ever be" I say with a nervously. "You'll do great!" he says giving me a warm smile. He pulls the trigger after having chosen his gun and has me do the same.
The pace starts off slow with a couple walkers here and there and soon escalates to more and more coming faster and faster. I flinch a bit seeing one having jumped on to the screen and do my best to get him off of me.
Tae aims his gun over onto my side of the screen to help me out and we quickly get it off and we continue on finishing the final round.
"Wow you're really good at this!" I say impressed with his skills. "You're not too bad yourself" he says bumping his shoulder against mine again making me smile at the friendly gesture. "Do you wanna play again?" he proposes the idea but I'm soon cut off by another voice.
"Hey no fair! You can't keep her all to yourself! Luna why don't you come play with me? I'm sure you'll find it very... stimulating" Hobi says in a suggestive tone while leaning on the side of the game where I'm now held captive between the two of them.
But yet again before I'm able to respond I see Hobi being pulled back and feel someone yanking me out by my forearm.
"Luna get your stuff we're leaving" Jungkook says dragging me towards the exit. "Jungkook hold on a second let me grab my bag!" I say trying to pull out of his grip. He loosens his grip on me just enough to place his hand in mine and have me lead him towards the spot I had left said bag.
Once I do he pulls on my hand and leads us towards the exit yet again. I see the guys take notice and send me a questioning look, observing the situation and contemplating whether or not to intervene. "Bye Luna" is the last thing I hear before the door closes behind us.
"Jungkook wait!" I say in protest waiting for him to listen to me yet he continues to pull me towards the building we had once come through.
"Jungkook STOP!" I yell at him finally being able to yank my hand out of his grip. "What?" he exclaims but does his best to keep his voice level. "What was that all about?" I say, finally given the chance to question his behavior. "I told you I didn't want them to be that close to you!" he says defending himself.
"Tae and I were just playing a game and then Hobi came over seconds after we had finished our game. It's not my fault that he was trying to get closer to me. And if you had given me a chance to speak for myself I would've taken care of it" I continue, poking holes in his argument.
"You shouldn't have been that close to Tae in the first place. I told you how it makes me feel when stuff like this happens" he continues trying to patch up his reasoning.
"Jungkook you're not my boyfriend!" I say finally fed up with his controlling behavior, but immediately regret it as soon as the words left my mouth. Seeing the slight change in his already frustrated expression I know I've hit him where it hurts. "You're right, I'm not" he says and turns his back to continue down the path leaving me behind.

Last night could not have been any worse for Jungkook—well, he’s sure it could have—but luckily the worst that could’ve been, had not come to be. Today, however, is proving itself to be a challenge in its own right. Jungkook knew he had to work early in the morning, but was alright with going out last night because he was with you.
Last night honestly had been turning into a great night—the way you had silently laid your claim to him at the club, possessive of him in a healthy way—Jungkook thought things were progressing in the right direction. And clearly, you did, too. Hell, he knew he was all over you last night. Knew that he was taking a huge risk in advancing the relationship past friends with benefits when he threw all caution out the window to kiss you like that in front of your friends, but at the time, Jungkook didn’t care.
And now? Well, that would be a different story, seeing as now that several people know that you’re the one he’s been fucking every night, they might all think something more should come from this situation. Jungkook doesn’t know what to tell them if they ask, and he’s been avoiding Jimin every chance he gets during his shift so far, because he doesn’t really know what to say. He walks to the nurses station to grab his oversized water bottle, drinking several large gulps before being interrupted.
“Jeon, we have a case that’s just moved over to us, can you help?” Park Soo-hyun, the head nurse for the shift, asks him. As he lowers the semi-transparent canister, he takes in her cotton candy pink hair, which is mussed in a few places; the corners of her eyes are pinched with stress.
“Yeah, no problem.” Jungkook sets the bottle back on the shelf, and follows the shorter Nurse Park down the hallway to the right of the nurses station and watches as she pauses at the elevators to press the call button. Jungkook slows his walk and raises an eyebrow at his fellow nurse.
“Sorry, we need the help on another unit,” she shrugs, elbow extending her arm to pass Jungkook a slim tablet with the patient's info pulled up.
“Honestly, that’s perfect.” Escaping to a different floor means almost zero percent chance of Jungkook running into Jimin, so he strolls into the elevator with no regrets.
Jungkook scrolls past the general information to see just exactly what he’s dealing with as the metal carriage rises.
His heart breaks a little when he sees that this case is a hospice care one—a focus on the quality of life at the end of it. He follows Nurse Park, barely noticing as he puts one foot after the other, approaching the room. There are several acronyms listed in bold to the left of the door. This clues him into the fact that the goal has shifted from treatment care to comfort.
Jungkook sees a sleeping, elderly woman in the hospital bed closest to the window, her grey hair pulled away from her face in a short ponytail. Next to her side is a similarly (he assumes) aged man, holding her wrinkled hand in his own. It is a sight that tugs at Jungkook’s heart; he doesn’t usually struggle with the elderly, just small children who end up in this unit, but with how he’s currently feeling about you, he thinks it's impacting him more than he’s used to.
“Mr. Kim? This is Nurse Jeon. He’ll be with you and your wife for most of today,” Soo-Hyun says kindly as she pats Jungkook’s back in a motherly nature. “Please let him know if you need anything, okay?” She passes Jungkook a small phone, which he pockets, and leaves him in the sunlit room. He steps closer, pulling up the doctor’s chair to sit; a small, rolling, cushioned stool in hospital green. He glances at their names on the whiteboard. Patient: Jung Min-Ji, Spouse: Kim Tae-Woo.
“Hi, Mr. Kim,” Jungkook starts, voice gentle and quiet so as not to disturb the sleeping woman.
“Hello,” Mr. Kim replies, voice weathered with time and wisdom. “We’re okay, son, you don’t need to sit with this old man.”
Jungkook is no stranger to the phrases the older generation tend to say when in this position. The feelings of being a burden on the hospital staff, guilt for brief thoughts blaming their loved one for being in this position, grief that they could possibly lose their loved one—they’re all valid emotions, and a lot for a person to bear. Especially an elderly man who appears to be carrying this weight alone. Instead of responding to his statement, Jungkook changes the topic. “How did the two of you meet?”
The man’s eyes sparkle to life as he looks at Jungkook’s eager face. “Oh, we’ve known each other since we were kids. She was the most beautiful girl in the village, and I was just some dumb kid who followed her around like a puppy. She’s older than me, you see, and I was the annoying little brother of her best friend.” He smiles fondly at her sleeping form, and Jungkook feels his chest grow tight. “She used to hate my guts. My friends and I would terrorize her and her friends, pull their ponytails, leave frogs in their backpacks, all the terrible things thirteen-year-old boys would do to pretty girls they were afraid to talk to.”
“No wonder she hated you, Mr. Kim!” Jungkook laughs. “I’m guessing you finally stopped tormenting her if she ended up married to you?” Jungkook points out.
“Yes, yes.” The man chortles fondly as he reminisces. “I finally grew up, and realized that treating her badly was not the way to her heart. A little too late, though. She ended up married to some other punk in the neighborhood. He wisened up a little faster than I did, told her how he felt one winter, and they were married by the time the cherry blossoms bloomed.” He sighs, and Jungkook tilts his head, questioning. “Oh, I was distraught. I couldn’t do anything about it, though, I realized that I missed my chance, busy playing games. I ended up married to one of her friends, and well, we spent the next fifteen years circling each other.”
“Wow, that must’ve been hard to deal with.” Jungkook can’t imagine being in his shoes. Or well, he can, but he doesn’t want to imagine that future for himself. Doesn’t want to see a future where he stands in suit and tie to take wedding photos, and it’s not you next to him in them.
“Oh, I loved her enough, my ex-wife, but I think she always knew deep down that she wasn’t…she wasn’t Min-Ji.” Jungkook can see his hand tighten imperceptibly around his wife’s frail one. “We never had kids, and when I came home from work one day to find her waiting with her things packed...I think I always knew that day would come.”
“So, how did you end up winning over Min-Ji?” Jungkook is intrigued by the man’s story. He doesn’t know what he would do in this situation.
“Oh, I wouldn’t call it that. She was thirty-two with a new-born daughter, and left a widow after the Gwangju Uprising. Her husband was one of the many lost that summer. I was freshly twenty-eight, newly single, with an empty house, and still in love with her. I stepped up as her friend, offering her and her daughter a place to live and slowly we became a family. I asked her to marry me a couple years later and she said yes.” Kim Tae-Woo’s eyes water, and even in the dimly lit room, Jungkook can see the love he has for the woman in front of him.
“That’s an amazing story, Mr. Kim. I’m glad you found each other.”
“Oh, me too. She’s given me everything I never knew I wanted. Three children and the best forty-three years of my life. She’s my everything.” He turns back to Jungkook, a look on his face that he can’t read. “Do you have someone, Nurse Jeon? Someone you love more than your own life?”
The question throws Jungkook for a loop, because the whole time his patient’s spouse was telling their story, there was only one person who crossed his mind. You. He hesitates to answer, but Mr. Kim was honest with him, and Jungkook is sure that he can be vulnerable with this man, too.
“Yeah, I think I do.”

“Stop staring at your phone and moping, oh my god.” Yoongi rolls his eyes at your mood, whispering to Leah about how you’re the rain cloud following them around, ready to ruin the wedding tomorrow.
You glance at the message one last time before locking your phone and stuffing it into your hoodie’s front pocket.
Tumblr media
You hate that you and Jungkook ended the night like you did, even more that he didn’t text you his usual morning text. The thumbs-up emoji haunted your dreams last night, and you barely slept, waking up throughout the night. The bags under your eyes reflect the nightmares, a fact your annoying little brother enjoyed pointing out when they picked you up at 10 AM.
-10 am flashback
“Shush Yoongi!” Leah berated him gently, “need I remind you how you looked after our almost break-up?”
“Hey! I thought we promised never to bring that up again!” Yoongi pouted the whole trip to the wedding venue for the final review of the plans.
-end
You sit back in the chair, your head facing away from the floor-to-ceiling window of the wedding venue, wishing not for the first (or even second) time that things had gone down differently last night. Sorting through all of your feelings is a lot harder than you thought it would be. Especially with your brother’s looming nuptials while seated in a decorated wedding hall.
“I’m not moping, jackass.” You pick at non-existent lint on the sleeve of your hoodie before tilting your head back and allowing the hood to fall off. “I just don’t know what to do with myself.”
“We’re almost done. Leah is just dropping off the last of the checks for the vendors, and we are running through the ‘Day-Of’ itinerary one last time with the planner. Then we can grab some lunch, and you can fill us in on the troubles running through that head of yours.”
“Sushi?” You make your eyes big and pout your bottom lip as you turn your head to look your brother in the face. He looks good; his hair is freshly done with an undercut cropped close to his head and the top layers falling in organized, chaotic layers. He has a healthy glow about him that screams ‘happy and in love’, that makes you feel wisps of green envy. His face breaks out into a smile, eyes disappearing in delight.
“Of course, princess. Whatever you want, if it means you’ll be in a better mood.”
Hearing Yoongi call you ‘princess’ reminds you of Jungkook, and you turn away again, hiding your crestfallen look as Leah walks back into the room with the wedding planner. Yoongi leaves you to join his soon-to-be wife’s side, shaking hands with the wedding planner as they bid her goodbye and motion for you to meet them at the exit.
Finally supplied with sustenance, you feel a little better as you chew and swallow the tempura-fried shrimp drizzled in spicy aioli sauce. Though that feeling dissipates a bit when Yoongi sets a deliberate gaze on you.
“Spill it. I know you're moping about Jungkook, but what happened? Do I have to kill him?” he attempts to make you smile, but the joke falls flat with you today.
“To be honest, it all happened really fast. One second we were good, really good. And then he just kind of shut down and called me a taxi and kicked me out at like 2 AM.”
“Wait, that dickhead kicked you out at 2 AM? I should fucking kill him! What if something had happened to you?” Yoongi’s ears are red and his eyes glint in anger. Leah reaches out a hand to soothe him as you speak quickly to do the same.
“Nothing happened to me. I’m a big girl, Yoongi. I’m pretty sure I said some hurtful things to him, and if the situation was reversed, I would’ve asked him to leave, too. If I had been a little more sober, I probably would’ve left on my own volition instead of getting into an argument.”
“If you don’t mind me asking,” Leah cuts in tentatively, “you do like Jungkook, right? Like not just as a friend?”
Your face says everything your mouth won’t as you shift in your seat. Leah nods knowingly, and Yoongi takes a deep breath.
“Okay. You’ve already told Mom and Dad that you’re dating him or whatever, so what’s holding you back from taking that step with him if you like him so much?”
It takes everything in you to not cut your eyes at him. You see Leah cover her mouth; the mirth there doesn’t match the situation, but she can’t help but feel like her very smart and emotionally aware fiance is missing some important social factors. You don’t blame her for the smile, in fact, you welcome it, knowing full well that she gets it.
“What’s holding me back? Maybe that conversation with Mom earlier this week, where she nagged at me for being single and not giving her grandkids, and then when I told her I was seeing someone, she ridiculed Jungkook’s age? Or how about the fact that the stupid goth art teacher talked shit about how young Jungkook was?” You shake your head, defeated. “Everyone judges the relationship between me and Jungkook, before it’s even a relationship. So what happens when it is real?”
“What changed?” Leah’s brows are furrowed, and you can see her mind sorting through the information you’ve given, or lack thereof. “Something must have happened to make what you had going no longer work for either of you, right?”
You decide to trust them both and tell the truth of what happened.
“So after we left the club, we went back to his place since it was late. Taehyung, Jimin, and Hoseok are now fully aware that there’s something between me and Jungkook because he wasn’t exactly subtle. To be fair, I didn’t stop him either, so I guess if I’m being honest, we weren’t exactly subtle. We get back to his place, and it’s business as usual.” Yoongi grimaces as he reaches for his whiskey, downing the entire thing as you skim most of the sex, though a memory surfaces as you let the night replay in your mind.
“Oh god!” You slap your hands to your face, covering your mouth. “I just remembered…I kind of let slip that I loved him while having sex,” you mumble into your hands, head dropping down in embarrassment. “And then right afterwards he’s receiving a ‘you up?’ text from SoHee—with a fucking topless picture!—and I just lost it. There was an argument, which I honestly can barely remember what was said. We were both so mad, you know?”
“Wow, no wonder you were mad. I’m guessing he didn’t say anything about your confession,” Leah questions, validating your feelings in a way that warms your heart. You definitely think you and your new sister-in-law (as of tomorrow) will get along great.
“No, he didn’t. And it’s not even that he has to say it back or anything, I didn’t say it for that reason, but the fact that we just had—”
“Please don’t say it again!” Yoongi interrupts.
“I wasn’t! Anyways, the fact that we just had such an intimate moment happen, and here comes SoHee texting Jungkook her perky tits asking if he’s awake? I know a booty call text when I see one.”
“Wait, but you just said SoHee texted it to Jungkook, right?” Yoongi sits back, a quizzical look on his face. “So, he got a text from SoHee and you got jealous. But I’m gonna be that person right now and point out to you that technically, you and Jungkook aren’t together.”
“Yeah, thanks for stating the obvious,” you say with a roll of your eyes. “Anyways, we were in the bathroom,” you think back through the specifics. “His phone went off, and he set it down to dry my hair, and then it went off again. The message lit up his phone, so I saw the text from SoHee.”
“Sis, you know I love you, but I think you’re jumping to conclusions. It sounds like Jungkook was just the recipient of the messages, not necessarily the instigator. Guys can receive unsolicited tit pics just as much as women get dick pics. People just think all men are horny 24/7, but we also can feel uncomfortable in these situations. If we’re at work or start dating someone new, and an old flame sends us a ‘you up’ text or sends nudes? Not to mention, sometimes we just aren’t attracted to the people sending us stuff. It causes issues no one asked for.”
Yoongi’s eyes show no malice as he speaks a truth you’re upset with yourself for not realizing in that drunken stupor, or even in the light of today. “Jungkook’s hot, you know? He could’ve just been the recipient of unsolicited nudes. He might actually get quite a few that he ignores, because that man is high-key in love with you.”
“Honestly, I’ve seen you and Jungkook together, and I agree. Who cares what other people think, especially the ones who don’t know either of you well enough and shouldn’t matter enough to sway your happiness with each other.” Leah looks at Yoongi, and he takes her hand gently. “This wedding tomorrow will not be my first one, but it’s the one that matters the most to me. Your brother loves me on a level that I never knew was possible, thanks to my ex, and though our age gap isn’t as big as yours with Jungkook, I’m still older than him. Both of these are things your mom took issue with, but you know your brother.” She looks over to him with a fondness you understand. It’s how you look at Jungkook. “The only thing that matters is what you and Jungkook want. I know it’s not easy, but it’s infinitely worth it.”
Tumblr media
By the time Jungkook finishes a sponge-bath and documents the care Min-Ji received during this time, he realizes it’s past the typical lunch time and that the husband has yet to eat. The three children he mentioned live on the other side of the country, but are traveling now to be with their parents. He had hoped they would arrive earlier with the promised food Mr. Kim is waiting for, but Jungkook insists he get something to hold the man over for the time being. He reminds him of which buttons to press to contact the phone in Jungkook’s pocket, then heads to the canteen.
The employees share the cafeteria area with the visiting families of patients, and it is bustling quite a bit as Jungkook exits the elevators straight into the lobby of the cafe. To the left, the room extends into a seating area once past the cashier lines, and Jungkook sees the moment SoHee spots him through the crowd.
He’s tired of hiding from people—tired of hiding from his feelings, really—so he decides not to run away this time. If SoHee decides to talk about the messages she sent last night, he will address it and let her down easily. They’re still friends, in Jungkook’s mind, so he smiles at her as she approaches him, soft pink scrubs swishing lightly from her quick steps.
“I am so excited about the wedding tomorrow!”
Jungkook can tell; her smile is glowing. Once upon a time, he might’ve been enthralled by it, it’s still a beautiful smile, and it sucks to know that he might be the reason it fades in a few moments.
“Yeah, me too. I actually wanted to talk to you about it.”
“Yes, that’s why I came over here, in fact, so we could finish coordinating and—”
“SoHee, wait.” Jungkook knows he’s being rude, cutting her off, but the longer she stands there, grinning up at him like that, the more his chest feels tight. “I can’t be your date for the wedding.”
As he predicted, the rosy apples of SoHee’s cheeks lower along with her smile as she processes his words.
“I don’t think I understand?” She's polite as she speaks, head quirked to the side as if showcasing her confusion, but Jungkook is no fool to the glint of a woman’s eye as she braces for battle.
“I know that it took me a lot longer than I promised to get back to you about this, but I’ve only just figured things out myself, and I just don’t want to string you along.”
“What have you been doing then, if not stringing me along?” SoHee crosses her arms across her chest, stance shifting to one of defensiveness. “I’m not trying to be a bitch, Jungkook, but from my point of view, it kind of seems like you’ve been doing exactly what you claim you don’t want to do.”
Jungkook sighs, restraining himself from rolling his eyes at her words and tone. He can’t help but feel that SoHee is being a bit dramatic—it’s not like he was the one who started all this wedding date talk, and he never even agreed to be her date! He did put off turning her down, but she’s the one who texted him to say he didn’t need to feel obligated to take her. And then she sends nudes and a booty-call text message at the worst possible moment last night and wants to get mad at him?
“Look, SoHee, I know that you probably feel like I’m the bad guy in this, but—”
“You’re an asshole, Jungkook.” SoHee’s voice carries a little too well, and other nurses standing nearby tune into the conversation. He really hates public confrontation like this, especially when he didn’t do anything wrong, and yet, here he is dealing with this bullshit.
Jungkook doesn’t mean the words he says in the way that they come out, but he feels cornered. “What do you want me to say, SoHee? ‘I’m sorry that I like somebody else’? Or possibly, I’m sorry that you sending me nudes I never asked for at 2 AM fucked up my relationship?” He probably could’ve said it with a little less attitude, probably should’ve held back from the second example, especially when he sees the way SoHee’s eyes begin to fill with tears as she looks at all of the gawking bystanders. One of the other nurses walks over and places an arm around SoHee’s shoulder, glaring daggers at Jungkook as if willing him to keel over on the glossy linoleum.
“You really are an asshole, Jeon. Why would you say that to someone, in front of a crowd? You have no tact.”
Jungkook is about to fire back at the other woman, but a hand on his shoulder reigns him back in despite his blood continuing to boil.
“Janice, why don’t you escort SoHee to the employee lounge for a bit? I’ll have a chat with Jungkook here.”
Frozen eyes sending a final chilling glare, the women disappear as Jungkook finally moves through the cafe line to the cashier, Jin following quietly. He continues to shadow Jungkook as he makes his way back to the palliative care and hospice unit to deliver the food. As he rounds the doorway, he sees that the patient’s adult children have arrived, a few grandchildren as well.
To his surprise, Min-Ji is awake, but this only makes him worry about what’s to come. He sets the food to the side, greeting the members of Min-Ji’s family as he does a quick check of Min-Ji’s breathing. The pattern appears abnormal—though normal for someone approaching the end of life. He’s glad her family made it in time to see her; he knows that before the day is out, possibly even before his shift ends, she’ll quietly cross the veil.
Jungkook slips back out of the room to give the family some privacy, and to meet with Jin, who he knows is waiting for him. The two men walk to a nearby empty nurses’ desk, and Jungkook waits expectantly for Jin to speak.
“Well, that went swimmingly.”
“All thanks to you, my friend,” Jungkook responds snidely, “not only is SoHee mad at me, I’m also not talking to You-Know-Who right now because of a pretty serious fight we had last night.”
“Calm down, she’s not Voldemort,” Seokjin snorts out. “But you two fought about something serious?”
“Yeah…She was at my place last night and saw a series of messages from SoHee that included a nude. She kind of went spastic on me, accusing me of requesting the nudes from SoHee after having sex with her because I’m ‘too young’ to behave any differently. I honestly was so angry, I called her a taxi and sent her home.”
Seokjin blinks at Jungkook dumbfoundedly before speaking. “Maybe if you’d already told our dear friend you’re banging his sister, and then told her that you want to date her, none of this would have even been able to happen.”
“This advice would’ve been better than encouraging SoHee’s imagination,” Jungkook grumbles out, though his voice takes a softer tone when he says your name as he continues, “if she had wanted to date her brother’s youngest friend, I think she would’ve said something by now.”  The condescension towards the age gap is laced through every word. Seokjin ponders his words before speaking his point of view.
“You know, I think that maybe the two of you put too much weight on this age gap. Even now, you’re taking on this submissive role, waiting for her to tell you or make the first move. But let me tell you a little something about women. No matter their age, they want someone who isn’t afraid to want them back. And you, my friend, are shaking in your scrubs.”
“I’m not scared,” Jungkook instantly defends, but even he can hear the lie whistle through his teeth.
“Then why are you waiting for her to make all the decisions? Why haven’t you had an adult conversation, sat her down, and told her what you wanted for a change?”
“Because I—” Jungkook pauses, unsure of how to answer. In all realness, he is scared. He enjoys what the two of you have going on, and he worries that if he speaks up for what he wants, if he asks you to change the friends-with-benefits status to something real…being incinerated by the sun after being lit on fire by jet engine fuel would hurt less than the hypothetical rejection he fears.
Seokjin just gives him a knowing look, his eyes soft with empathy for his younger friend's dilemma. “Just talk to her. Show her you want her, and not just in a friends-with-benefits way.” He once again gives Jungkook that knowing look. “Tomorrow is the perfect opportunity to clear the air. Everyone loves a good wedding.”
“Except SoHee is also going to be there.”
Seokjin curses lowly under his breath and is about to say more when Jungkook’s phone begins to emit a shrill tone for attention. The two men silently make their way back to Min-Ji’s room, knowing that if the phone is ringing, it’s not for any good reason.
Tumblr media
It’s been a long day full of revelations. The long talk with your brother and his soon-to-be wife has left you feeling drained and empty. Sitting on your couch, you open up the app to order food from your favorite takeout place barely a block away. Carelessly, you reorder the last meal you placed before slumping backwards into the plush cushions.
Now that you’ve ordered, you really wish you had chosen delivery, like the lazy ass you want to be, but it’s not that far from your place. You close your eyes for what feels like a moment, but an alert jerks you out of the light slumber you’d slipped into. Your food is ready to be picked up. Sighing, you rock back then forward to lift yourself from the sunken spot on your comfortable couch and shrug on Jungkook’s hoodie for the trek.
The weather teases a light rainfall, the petrichor scent enveloping you as you quicken your steps through the glass door of the establishment. Approaching the counter, the cashier recognizes you and pulls your order—two plastic bags with a brown paper bag inside each full of steaming hot food.
Checking the receipt stapled to the first bag, you see that you’ve accidentally ordered twice as much food; your last placed order was a meal for two, and the extra food? Jungkook’s favorite dishes from here. With resignation, you grab both bags, attempting to balance them on each forearm and use your foot to push open the door, but the door swings open as a man with an umbrella steps through.
Jungkook says your name as if it's a curse and a prayer, sidestepping back onto the sidewalk to hold the door for you to exit. You thank him, fully intending to keep walking past him, but he follows you instinctively.
“Let me help,” he says, his hand reaching out to grab one of the bags, and like muscle memory, you allow it, both of you walking in tandem until you reach your place. Unlocking the front door, he follows you in if only to set down the bag, but you stop him with a hand to his wrist before he can leave.
“I, uh, accidentally ordered your favorites when I rushed my last reorder. You can have it, if you want. I can’t eat all of this.”
Jungkook just shrugs, and you finally notice how he looks. It’s not good—well, he always looks good; he can pull off anything. It’s more so that he doesn’t look well; his face is pale, eyes listless and devoid of any joy, parts of his face a bright red from being picked at. It’s one of his habits you’re well aware of, like when he bites his nails when nervous. Reaching into the bag, you lift out the container and pass it to him along with napkins and utensils. Taking the food from you, he steps into your living room, plopping down onto your couch as if muscle memory has taken over, he takes off the lid and begins the motions of eating the meal.
Your own thoughts are racing, unsure of what to do or say, so you just say nothing, instead pouring two glasses of water and delivering them to the coffee table before going back for your food. You end up sitting on the smaller couch, the corner closest to where he sits on the larger couch. The room fills with the sounds of you eating, an awkwardness that never used to be there lingering in the air. Your eyes flit from your food to Jungkook’s slow movements, so after you swallow your most recent bite, you take a sip of water before speaking.
“Is everything okay, Jungkook?” The urge to call him ‘baby’—to cuddle him to you and comfort him—is strong, but you resist.
His hand moves the food around a bit, and you watch him as he gathers himself to reply. It feels like hours, but he finally looks at you. “Yeah, I just had a really hard case today. It was a hospice patient, and I spent most of the day with her husband. Well, second husband—but the love of her life, I’m sure.”
“Oh,” you don’t know what to say; you’re not really sure what made the case so hard, so you wait for Jungkook to elaborate.
“They, uh, knew each other for a long time, since they were kids, you know? But he was the younger brother of her best friend, and she married someone else before he worked up the courage to pursue her. He ended up married to one of her friends instead, but she left him. He said his first wife knew that no one could compete with the girl he actually loved. So when the first husband died in the Gwangju Uprising, leaving her a single mom with a small baby, he stepped in to provide them with a place to live and just help out, but they ended up together eventually and they have a big family.” Jungkook’s eyes look back at his food, a bit teary. “I met their kids and grandkids. They arrived right before she—” he clears his throat, but a small tear sneaks down his cheek.
You reach out for him, pulling the food from his hands and placing it on the table. You scoot closer to him, taking his hands into yours as he looks down at where the two of you connect. He sniffles, trying to stabilize his voice before he continues with his story.
“They arrived right before she passed. She’d been asleep the whole time I was there with her husband, but once everyone arrived, she woke up and was talking to them all, told them she loved them one last time, and then she just…slipped away. I don’t think I can ever forget the sound her husband made as he cried.”
“Oh, Jungkook…” unable to bear it, you join him on the same couch, holding him close to you as he cries. Your own eyes are wet; something about this couple’s story resonates with you after everything that you’ve experienced today.
“I can’t imagine going through that,” Jungkook says with a wobbly voice. “Losing the person that you love the most in the world? I mean, he almost avoided having to go through this, she married someone else! And the chance comes around for him to be with her and he takes it, but the way he cried when he lost her…I’m not sure it’s worth it in the end.”
His words cut like a knife to your heart. You want to remind him of the good that he told in the story, how the couple had a large family, how the wife was surrounded by the evidence of their love when she died. How the man taking that second chance meant a single mom and her baby had a better life—that anguish he felt when he lost her was because they shared a love like no other. To you, it’s always worth it.
Instead of saying what you want to say, you ask him what he needs. And those beautiful teary eyes look up at you and he whispers one word; “You,” and you’re unable to say no to him. Not when his lips meet yours with a desperation that you can’t begin to decipher, not when his hands pull you closer, and he clings to you like a lifeline, and definitely not when he sighs out your name against your lips, as if the simple utterance fills him with solace and relief of all that ails him.
His strong hands relieve you of your clothing as his lips remain fervently attached to yours. You relish in the feel of him as your naked form meets his own body, skin to skin, while he lays you back onto the couch. His kiss leaves you dazed; you have no idea how long it took for you both to end up naked, and by the time the question is flying through your mind, Jungkook is already nestled between your thighs, his cock hard and throbbing pressed against your lower stomach and your ankles crossed at his lower back.
When he pulls away slightly—reaching to line himself up with your slick opening—you bite his bottom lip where it was resting against your own, and the sensation causes him to surge his hips forward, fucking himself deep inside you. The intrusion is orgasmic, stretching you to a fullness you only experience when he doesn’t take time to prep you. Jungkook is needy, fraught with a raw emotion he can’t yet put words to, but his body can.
With each stroke, he finds comfort, the grip of your walls building the friction to a pleasurable high that he wants to drown in. Is there anything better to ease his mind than to be buried inside of you? He knows you're close, can feel the way you quicken—hurtling towards climax as you dig your nails into his back and cry out his name. Your body wrapped around him brings him a level of peacefulness that allows his mind to empty and his heavy cock to release thick spurts of cum until you're full and leaking around his softening member.
You lay underneath him, holding him close as his chest rises and falls, and he peppers kisses along your shoulder. His movements are slow and you can feel the effects of the day taking over and pulling him into sleep. He slides his body so that the two of you are back to front, him curling around you as the big spoon. He grasps the blanket you keep across the top of the couch and attempts to cover you both, but you take over for him.
He drops his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to his chest as he kisses the back of your head once more.
“I’m sorry, Princess,” he mutters before he’s softly snoring, and you lay there in his embrace, contemplating what his apology could be for.
Was he apologizing for sending you home last night? For that thumbs up he sent that ruined your day? Because he feels bad that he only made you cum once after using your body to make himself feel better?  It’s only when you’re about to drift off that you remember his words about his patient, and your mind wonders if his apology is telling you sorry because he can’t give you what you want the most. Himself.

1108: Facts and observations
•Day 0
1108 started on the 8th of November of 2015.
Jimin uploaded a video of him and Jungkook to twitter:
Tumblr media
On the 26th of January 2016, Jk uploaded a small snippet of a song he was covering.
•Day 100
And on the 15th of February of 2016, Jk uploaded the entire song Nothing Like Us and noted to listen to the lyrics as they were expressing what he wanted to say:
Tumblr media
In Korean culture, parents celebrate 100 days after a child is born. This is to indicate that the child made it through the first vulnerable phase in their life. In the same manner, the 100 days are celebrated by Korean couples.
And this is what Jk had to say 100 days after the 8th of November of 2015:
There's nothing like us There's nothing like you and me Together through the storm There's nothing like us There's nothing like you and me together, oh
•Day 366 (1 year)
On 08/11/2016, a year later, Jimin posted another video of them:
Tumblr media
•Day 732 (2 years)
On Oct. 28, 2017, Jungkook treated Jimin to a trip to Tokyo. It was because of this trip, that Jungkook released gcfTokyo on Nov. 08, 2017.
youtube
A fan used the images in the video and was able to determine the hotel and room jikook stayed at. It was room number 1108.
The video also used the song There For You by Troye Sivan:
Boy, I'm holdin' onto something Won't let go of you for nothing I'm runnin', runnin' just to keep my hands on you There was a time that I was so blue What I got to do to show you? I'm runnin', runnin' just to keep my hands on you
Day 811
On the 26th of January 2018, in a Japanese fancafe, Jimin gifted Jungkook a drawing of a set of champagne glasses and a bottle. Note the details of the glasses.
Tumblr media
•Day 900
On the 25th of April 2018, a day before the 900 day milestone, Jimin had a vlive where it was obvious he wasn't alone in the room. He kept looking to the side, laughing shyly and explained:
Tumblr media
After he said this, you can hear someone whisper, "Jimin."
Day 1000
On August 3rd 2018, Jk posted a selfie while they were all filming BV3:
Tumblr media
During BV3, jikook were able to look around the city alone, and have a boat date under the moonlight.
Day 1013
As you all may know 10:13 is also known as Jimin ssi, or Jimin time. It only makes sense that this day would be special to jikook too.
On the 16th of August 2018, Jimin tweeted a series of 3 tweets:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungkook was the only member that appeared in the photos with Jimin. It is also interesting to note the 2 butterfly temporary tattoos he had on his hand.
Tumblr media
This is the same time when they had the photoshoot with the inflatable unicorn:
Tumblr media
The next day, Jimin uploaded a tweet with the caption "Love Ya", and one of the photos was him and Jk.

•Day 1141
On the 22nd of December 2018, when fans uploaded their selfies on fancafe, the fans let Jk know that Jimin had uploaded his own:

My impressions
Based on Korean customs, celebrating different day milestones is typical in a Korean couple.
While some may think that jikook started dating on the 8th of November 2015, I think that's when they decided to be intimate with each other.
I feel like a jikook kiss had already happened since the last time Jimin asked Jk for a kiss publicly was in September 2015 for Jk's birthday. From there, one can only think that things proceeded quite quickly.
I think that in recent years, we have observed less mentions of 1108 because of BTS' popularity and so many fans expecting something from jikook.
It's possible that jikook has decided to not make these milestones known like they did before, but every now and then, they still reference that number. Who knows when they will do it again.
But who is counting, right?

By the time Jungkook returned to his apartment, all six of his lovers were seated around his dining table, waiting for him. The men looked at the youngest with an aura of moderate annoyance. They hated tardiness, and Jungkook could only imagine the story he spun about you.
“How are you going to be late to the emergency meeting you called?” Jin asked, sighing as he checked his nails impatiently.
“Go on, tell em where you were.” Taehyung snipped, but Yoongi clicked his tongue in annoyance.
“Don’t bother, he already whined about it.” Namjoon sighed out.
Jungkook snorted, “Yeah, I can tell by the way Jimin looks pissed too.” The MMA fighter bristled at this but sighed, crossing his arms.
“I’ll never understand what you guys have against her.” Hoseok rolled his eyes, “How is she, dare I ask?” He sarcastically spoke, “According to Tae she’s the Devil incarnate.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes at this, landing on the man in question to send him a glare, “Did he tell you how much of an asshole he was?”
“Funnily enough, he neglected to mention his behavior.” Yoongi spoke, not breaking his eye contact with Taehyung who shrunk in his seat a bit, “I also will never understand why she gets under both of your skin so much.” He looked to JImin who shifted in his seat, “None of our trysts have ever gotten to you both.”
“She’s different.” Taehyung snarled bitterly. No one said it, but the sentiment was there. You were different because Jungkook kept going back to you. You were different because instead of making him worse and leaving them to pick up the pieces, you made him… better. You helped him come from the depths of rock bottom in a way none of them had been capable of doing due to their own internal battles, and it weighed on the two men in a way that guilt could never fully encapsulate.
“Anyways.” Jungkook spoke, plopping down next to Yoongi who sat at the head of the table, “I’m sure everyone here wants to know why I called you here?” He asked, and the men looked on expectantly. It was rare for Jungkook to call these meetings, especially so close to the anniversary date. Truthfully, he was surprised that they were all even able to attend in the first place, but it was all fate after all, at least in his eyes, “Well, I have just given us the best anniversary gift yet.” The men in the room perked up noticeably.
“Did Byungjoo seriously give you something useful?” Jimin asked curiously, “I thought I was supposed to go in tomorrow because he’s not talking about the old man’s whereabouts?” He looked to Namjoon whose gaze stayed fixed on Jungkook.
“Yeah… you told me he wasn’t squealing?” The CEO asked suspiciously.
“And he didn’t, not about Byungyeol.” Jungkook confirmed, “But he did mention something… about the girl.” Yoongi’s back was pin straight as the younger man spoke.
“Isn’t she dead?” Hoseok asked, making Yoongi’s jaw set.
“Hey, we don’t know that for sure,” Jin argued for the sake of the second oldest who waited for Jungkook to continue with bated breath.
“Oh come on.” Taehyung huffed out, “That fire–”
“Enough.” Yoongi grit out, “Let him finish.”
Jungkook smiled a bit, all too eager to finally have you out in the open, “She’s alive.” The room went still as he continued, “He gave me her name, and I had to check it out to make sure he wasn’t lying but… I found her.”
“No way.” Jimin gasped, turning to the older man who had a lump in his throat, “What did you wanna do with her, boss?” The title was a bit sarcastic, “She sharing the same fate as Byungjoo?”
“No.” Jungkook and Yoongi spoke in unison, making the two look at each other curiously. Everyone in the room knew Yoongi had a certain fixation on finding the green girl, especially as they were preparing for the fall of the Moon group, but they weren’t sure why. The only person who really knew had been Jin who remained as tight-lipped as ever about the topic.
Yoongi cleared his throat to break some of the tension, “No, I don’t think I plan to kill her.” He spoke cooly, but Jungkook’s jaw set at the mere possibility.
“None of us will be killing or harming her.” Jungkook proclaimed, making the two bosses in the room glared at him.
“That’s not your call to make, JK.” Namjoon reminded him, but he shook his head in defiance.
“Why do you even care?” Jin asked curiously.
Taehyung watched with squinted eyes as he studied the scene before him. Jungkook never once cared about who lived or died. Hell, he hated attending most meetings. It didn’t make sense why he’d care about some random girl he didn’t know–
Oh.
Rage bubbled in the pit of Taehyung’s stomach as the puzzle pieces clicked into place, “It’s because she’s been right next door this whole time, isn’t it?” He piped up, and Jungkook’s glare at him deepened, “She’s fucking dea–” Taehyung stood and Jimin followed suit.
“Sit down.” Yoongi hissed, and the men had no other choice but to listen as he turned to the maknae, “Is that true?”
Jungkook pursed his lips and let out a short laugh, “And I had no fucking clue,” He admitted, and Namjoon wanted to bang his head on the table. All of the men knew that Jungkook wouldn’t lie about this kind of thing, not when it meant so much to Yoongi, but still–
“How could you be so careless–”
“We all thought she was dead!” Jungkook defended himself, and Yoongi remained quiet, “None of us knew her name, how she looked, hell, we didn’t even know her real age, evidently.” He sighed, “She didn’t even know about me.”
“What?” Hoseok chimed in, “You’re telling me this is all a coincidence?” He asked incredulously, but Jungkook stood his ground.
“The reason I’ve been so off these days?” He offered, and his boyfriends stiffened, “She saw Namjoon on the news as Bangtan Corp’s CEO, and she… I mean, she’s not an idiot. She added two and two together.” He bitterly admitted, “Our one rule was shattered, so we agreed to go our separate ways but…”
Jin scrunched his brows as he took it in, “You couldn’t let her go, could you?” He asked, and the implications made the men in the room feel ill. Jungkook, the man who could have multiple one-night stands in a night without feeling an ounce of affection for them, couldn’t let you, his friend, walk out of his life, “Jungkook you…”
“She was all I had during…” He trailed off, and the other men could fill in the blanks, “We found each other at our lowest, and now I see why she was so skittish at first it…” He sighed, “It was fate, I see that now.”
“Fate?!” Taehyung guffawed, “She was playing you!”
“How?!” He challenged, raising his voice back, “It’s been years and she’s never once asked me for anything!”
“Everyone calm down, okay?” Hoseok tried to mediate, “Look, I agree with Jungkook, there’s no way she knew or was playing him.” He defended and Jimin scoffed, “I’m serious. I was the one who watched her those days, alright?”
“Byungjoo had no idea I even knew her.” Jungkook mentioned, “I didn’t tell him I did, obviously. He just… immediately gave me her name and her phone number.” He said, but sighed, “She got a new phone the day after she saw Namjoon on the news, you know.” He admitted, “I know now Byungjoo called her that day and she freaked out, now I know why.”
“Freaked out?” Yoongi asked, expression unreadable.
“Why would she freak out if her uncle called?” Namjoon asked, the Moon family was supposed to be tight-knit.
“She’s…” Jungkook tried to find the word, “I don’t think she was raised how we thought at all, hyung.” He admitted, and it made the older man’s stomach churn, “I think we need to reevaluate everything we thought we knew about the Moon family.” Whispers in the Underworld spoke of a spoiled yet deadly princess who got everything she wanted at the snap of a finger. You were supposed to have been pampered to a nauseating degree.
“Why don’t we ask her ourselves?” Jimin bitterly added, unbelieving that you could be anything other than what they’d been told.
“Fine.” Jungkook surprisingly agreed, “But not tonight.”
“What are we even going to do with her?” Jin asked finally, “If we’re not going to kill her then what?” He felt the need to add, “We can’t let her run. Obviously, she was planning to.”
“We hire her.” Yoongi announced and all of the men except Namjoon looked at him in surprise.
“Just like that?” Hoseok chuckled, “Very well then.”
“What use do we have for her?” Jimin hissed just as Taehyung stood.
“You’re joking.” Taehyung seethed, “Hire her to what? Stab us in the back?”
“I haven’t heard anything to suggest she has any allegiance to her family.” Namjoon reasoned, “And she is a nurse, has been Jungkook’s very own for a while now.” He added with a tinge of bitterness, “It only makes sense that–”
“No way in hell am I going to the green girl prodigy killer to heal me.” Taehyung scoffed.
“Then don’t.” Yoongi clipped, making the man scowl further, “But if you need to, she is our new nurse, effective immediately.”
Hoseok, utterly amused, beamed a bit at this, “And no more coming to me to patch you up anymore.” He added, making Taehyung click his tongue, “I’m no good at it and it makes me have to cut into our supply.” He defended. Hoseok had some medical training, he had to in order to be the knowledgeable pharmacist he was now, but he didn’t like using it.
“And who’s going to tell her?” Jin asked, seemingly unphased by the night’s events, but he seldom was.
“I will.” Yoongi proclaimed, “I’ll speak with her tomorrow and lay out the terms after we hammer them out tonight.” Jungkook stiffened at the idea of the other members seeing you, but it was unavoidable. All he really cared about was the fact that your heart would remain beating and you would be relatively free.
Jimin glared at Jungkook, “What did you two talk about over there?” He asked.
Jungkook stiffened at the memory of just moments ago before returning his lover’s harsh gaze, “Have something you wanna say?”
“Interesting that Jungkook gets to keep his toy.” Taehyung spat, making the man in question snarl before Jimin had a chance to say anything.
“She is not a toy.” Yoongi hissed to everyone’s surprise. He cleared his throat, letting the heat melt from his body, “She is now a vital member of the group and should be treated as such.” This made Jungkook smile.
“...And then you tie it like this.” Eunhwa explained, tying the know just above the tip of your gash, “These are poligecaprone sutures, best for general tissue repair, like this.” She was so dutiful in her words, you almost envied how well-spoken she was. Eunhwa was a new instructor since the last one stopped showing up, and you didn’t have it in you to worry when she was so rotten. So far, Eunhwa was quite kind, but she made a displeased face at your wound, and you wondered if she blamed you for it. Father did, after all. He always said you had no business being as clumsy as you were.
Nevertheless, you watched the needle enter your skin and the knot she tied carefully as you nodded, ten-year-old mouth trying to form the word in silence as you did the next suture, the pattern being interrupted, “Pol–” You cut yourself off, looking at Eunhwa with surprise at the fact that you made a noise. You knew the rules, you knew legacies don’t speak unless they have something useful to say.
You gulped, waiting for admonishment or a behavior report to be made and handed to your uncle, but instead, she smiled, “Do you want help sounding it out?” She asked.
“Yes, ma’am.” You whispered out.
A brief moment of sadness, an emotion you couldn’t identify yet, flashed on her face before she dutifully guided you through the word.
You completed the knot and she checked your work with a nod, “Very good.” She mused before her eyes flicked to yours, “Did it hurt? Your father suggested I not give you numbing cream, but if it hurt too bad I can try to convince him.” She offered, but you shook your head. She looked at you quizzically, “It didn’t hurt?” You shook your head again. It hadn’t hurt more than anything else you’d taken, “You don’t want me to talk to him?”
You swallowed, left with no other choice but to talk, “I can take it. I must.” You echoed his words, “It’s my job.” You solemnly spoke and Eunhwa paused for a moment, before nodding.
“Very well.” She spoke softly, “I won’t talk to him, then. Just, speak freely around me, okay?” She asked, “I won’t tell, I promise.”
You nodded, unable to say that you didn’t know how to speak freely.
If sleep found you, it certainly didn’t feel like it. Your eyes opened, and it felt like a mere blink. Nevertheless, the sun was slowly beginning to light the sky. The world was still turning for you, for now. You wondered how long you could keep that up.
It wasn’t going to be long now before the devil was coming to collect your soul in the form of one of the Bangtan men, so you decided to use your last moment to speak to the only other person who ever cared what you had to say.
The line rang only twice before she picked up, and before she could say anything you spoke, “It’s over.” You breathed, “They found me.”
“What?” Eunhwa asked, and you could hear a door close, “No, that can’t be–”
For the first time in your life, you cut her off, “It’s okay.” You breathed out shakily, “I lived a bit.” You wanted to say you were ready to die, but you weren’t. You weren’t and the fact made you envious of your past self. A puppet with no concept of a life to live can’t fear death.
“No you didn’t.” She seethed, making your jaw clench. She was right. Your life had just barely started. You still had so much to learn and so many things to do that were now evaporating right before your eyes, “Are you sure they’re going to kill you?” She asked, and your brows scrunched.
“They’ve been looking for me this long.” You pointed out, “Why would they keep me alive? Even if Jungkook were to plead my case.”
“Why would they kill you though?” Her voice was too hopeful for you, but you let her speak anyway, “Why would they kill someone they’ve been pursuing this hard?”
“Eunhwa–” You were cut off by a sharp knock on the door that made your stomach fall, “Thank you.”
“Don’t talk like that.” She hissed, but you could hear the quiver in her voice, “I-I’m going to make a few calls and–” The knock on your door pounded louder this time, and you smiled sadly.
“I have to go.” You simply said before hanging up. You took a deep breath before approaching the door. You figured death was best faced without thought. You had spoken to the one person from your past life that would miss you, and that was enough.
The doorknob was unbelievably cold in your hand as you opened it. You didn’t realize you were looking down until you were left to stare at the fanciest pair of dress shoes you’d seen in a while. Finally, you looked up to face the man before you, and it was like time stopped for a moment. Something about his sharp eyes was eerily familiar, and it nearly gave you a headache trying to think about it.
Yoongi on the other hand, found himself blown away by you. Finally, after years of searching and clawing his way through unwritten records of the underground, here you were. Right under his nose this whole time. How many times had he passed you in the elevator or in the mail room? You were beautiful, stunning even, so how could he have missed you for this long? He watched you drink him in with knitted brows and a brief flash of recognition nearly made him jump back. Could you truly recognize him, even after all you went through since?
“Do… Do I know you?” You asked, and Yoongi smiled. You could see the melancholy dripping from the expression, making you feel even more uneased, “Are you here to kill me?” You asked, voice smaller than you hoped but you supposed it wasn’t going to matter much pretty soon.
“Quite the opposite.” He quickly corrected you. Yoongi couldn’t kill you even if he wanted to. You may not be able to recognize him, but he’d know your face anywhere. It was his one comfort for a long time until it was ripped from him, “May I come in?” He raised a brow and you shrugged.
“I don’t suppose I have much of a choice.” You mumbled under your breath before walking to your couch.
Yoongi shut the door behind him, studying your form. Even in this despaired state, you were full of more life than he’d ever seen before. A smidge of jealousy boiled in his blood at the realization Jungkook got to see you laugh and act aloof like a friend would this whole time. He shook it off, sitting on the armchair next to the evidently second-hand furniture you sat on, “Needless to say, I am involved with Bangtan.” You nodded, eyes clouded with a million different emotions, “I am Min Yoongi, one of the seven bosses.” You sat on the couch next to the chair, never taking your eyes off of him.
“I don’t recognize you like I do Namjoon.” You spoke, studying his face further.
He flashed you a tight smile, heart panging from hearing you say you don’t recognize him, “I’m in charge of running our underground operations and appearances.” He explained and your mouth formed a small O for a moment.
“Wait.” You spoke, studying him further, “Min…” His surname stuck to your lips for a reason you couldn’t place, “I know that name I…” You bit your lip, you prided yourself on remembering faces and placing them just as well, but something about him clouded that ability, “Did I…”
“No, I don’t have a vendetta against you.” He shook his head, and you scrunched your brows, “I do against your father and uncle, but you’ve done nothing to harm me.” He spoke, “It’s why we plan to let you live.”
“And not them.” You finished for him, heart dropping a bit when he nodded. You knew you should’ve been more upset hearing that your father and uncle were to be murdered, but you didn’t care too much if you were being honest. It wasn’t as if they would’ve felt any different if the roles were reversed, even if the child in you was mourning them.
However, Yoongi was unnerved by your lack of reaction, “Does that upset you?” He asked, genuinely unable to tell.
“Not really, no.” You spoke honestly, not wanting to nor trained in the art of lying all that well, “So I get to live?” The glimmer of hope in your eyes squeezed at his chest in a way that made him shift a bit.
“In exchange for something else.” He confirmed, and your body went stiff as you waited for him to continue, “Your time and knowledge.”
You sighed. Fuck, you were screwed if he needed you to know anything of use, but most importantly, you were tired, “If you think I’m at all still connected to the Underworld…”
“No, no.” He stopped you short, and you looked at him quizzically, “I would’ve found you long ago if you were.” You nodded, and his confidence was all you needed in order to see him for what he was. He was the man who triggered the downfall of your family. You wanted to hate him for it, but you couldn’t, not really, “We all agreed to hire you on as our new nurse” Your breath hitched at his words, mind swimming with a million different things, “We will compensate you for your time and stock whatever supplies you need. You will also have our protection.”
You nodded, but you could hardly believe it, “Who will be my patients?” You asked.
“The seven of us.” He didn’t need to elaborate much further than that, “The lower echelons have their own designated medical services.” He explained, and you were a little impressed by it it all. Your father’s organization was not nearly this… well, organized. You and Eunhwa were the primary medical services for the upper echelons and the lower members had to fend for themselves.
“And can I still have my current job?” You asked, and you breathed a sigh of relief when he nodded.
“Yes, it’s best that way.” He confirmed, “If any of us need you during your work hours, we will make sure to tell you beforehand so we can coordinate that in a way that doesn’t look suspicious.” He said, but it all sounded too good to be true.
You fixed a sharp look on him, “What else?”
He sighed, “Tomorrow, we plan to have you come forward.” You had to grip the couch to stop your bones from turning to jelly at the fear that burned you from the inside, “Without revealing your identity fully, of course.” He quickly added, but it did nothing to ease you, and something about your evident panic made him feel sick, “We plan to have you announce your intent to bring your father and uncle to justice. It may draw the old man out.” He leaned forward, trying to catch your panicked gaze that’d been darting across the room, “All you have to do is record a voice line tonight, include something that only you would know, and send it to me.” He said, and it slowed your heart a mere fraction, “We will take care of the rest.”
“How will you explain this to the public?” You asked, but he simply shook his head, “They’re going to demand my head I bet.” You were a cold-hearted killer. You knew that the few people that did hear of you firsthand had seldom good to say. Who even knew what your father publicized about you? You stayed away from the news because you didn’t need to know.
“How scared you are right now tells me that the public will never have been so happy to be wrong about someone.” He mused, and your brows scrunched in confusion, “You were supposed to be some prissy spoiled heiress who killed when she bribed to.”
“Bribed? Spoiled?” You balked, shaking your head, “That–” You didn’t even know what those words really meant until you met Jungkook, “How did–”
“Your father controlled the narrative for a long time.” He spoke, words heavier than he knew, “He won’t now.” He spoke as if it were so simple, “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but be honest about what kind of man he and Byungjoo were.” He chuckled, no amusement behind it, “Taehyung will be by in a bit to take your statement and give you the contract.” He stood, and you wanted to complain about Taehyung being the one to do it. However, you held your tongue, only nodding, obedient as ever and you hated it. But what choice did you have?
“Yes, sir.” You sighed, and the silent submission made Yoongi feel disgusted with himself.
“No need for that.” He shook his head, making you look up at him in confusion, “Please, just call me Yoongi.” His plea was a little too noticeable, but you nodded anyway, “I’m not your father nor your uncle.” He said softly, but that was only something you would believe when you saw it for yourself, “Were they…” He stopped, trying to think of how to ask such a thing, “You really weren’t spoiled or sheltered, were you?” He asked, already knowing just by how you looked away.
“No, not in the way you think.” You breathed, “I was an employee more than anything.” You murmured, embarrassed for some reason, “I see that now more than ever.”
“I see.” He simply said, “And Jungkook…” You stiffened at the mention, “Has he been good to you?” He asked against his better judgment. This wasn’t his business, no matter how much he wanted it to be.
You nodded, and he felt his shoulders relax, “No one had ever been so kind to me.” You refrained from cursing him for bringing the Underworld back to your door. Not only were you unsure how angry you were, you doubted his boyfriend would fancy hearing it.
“Good.” He simply said before taking his leave.
“Look, I don’t want to be here anymore than you want me here,” Taehyung said when you opened the door to reveal him and Jungkook’s favorite MMA fighter, Park Jimin, at his side. You didn’t even have the energy to be surprised as he regarded you with as much hatred as Taehyung held, “So let’s get this over with.” He pushed past you to enter your apartment. Namjoon trailed behind them, at least having the decorum to nod at you.
You thought about introducing yourself to Jimin, but decided against it at his glare, “Right.” You simply breathed.
“First, here’s the contract.” Jimin shoved the paper toward you as you read through it. You may not have been the best speaker or the best writer, but you could sure as hell read. Reading was all you could do for a long time. When you signed your name, his nose scrunched, “You write like a grade-schooler.” He spoke, and it pricked at your deepest shame. You had only been writing for the most part for five years.
The pen snapped in your hand, but you paid no attention to the ink that spilled onto your skin, “Fuck you.” You hissed, taking him aback for a moment.
“Watch it.” Taehyung snapped, pausing as he set up the equipment.
“I don’t talk back unless spoken to.” You snarled, moving to wash the ink off, “I don’t need this from either of you, especially not tonight.” You sat at the table, waiting for him to position the mic, “So let’s just get this over with, I have work tomorrow.”
“Everyone relax.” Namjoon finally spoke, “We can be adults about this.” He glared at the three of you, before letting his gaze land on you, “I’m going to ask you questions, and you respond accordingly.” You nodded.
“Okay, Ms. Moon, I say as this is not your real last name, please address your father Byungyeol.” He spoke into the mic. You opened your mouth, but nothing came out. What the hell was there to say? You had laid it all out to him five years ago. You had shown true and genuine weakness, real desperation, and he didn’t hesitate in turning his back to you.
You looked at Namjoon, expression totally lost and much more vulnerable than you wanted. Something about the way you looked like a puppy tugged at his heartstrings a bit in a way he didn’t understand, “What? Don’t wanna disparage your precious dad?” Taehyung taunted, snapping the CEO from his trance.
Your eyes snapped to him in a sharp glare, “How many times do I have to tell you that you don’t know one thing about me?” You seethed, but he looked less than convinced.
“Look, just pretend he was rotten and mean and you’re scared of him.” Jimin spoke to you as if you were a child, and it only made you angrier, “You should be used to lying, come on princess.”
“Enough!” Namjoon silenced the two men, “If you upset her it’ll show in her statement.” He spoke, as cold as ever, “Behave.” He ordered before looking to you, “Now, tell me is Byungyeol a good man?”
“No.” You spoke, immediately, and you were both disappointed when he waited for you to elaborate and you had nothing to say. You didn’t know how to do this, and it pissed you off. Jungkook knew how to keep you talking all the time, and so did Eunhwa, but outside of them, you were a mere soundboard. Namjoon could see the frustration on your face, and it unsettled him.
Why were you having such a hard time talking? He looked around the room to see his lovers glaring harshly down at you and figured maybe that was the reason. He sighed, “How is she supposed to feel comfortable saying anything with you two looking at her like that?” He asked, shaking his head, “Bring Jungkook or Hoseok in.” He waved them off with a sigh.
“No, it’s fine.” You grit out, the pride in you swelling, “They can think what they want to.” You didn’t even dignify them with a glare, “Again.” You nodded at Namjoon who finally broke his disbelieving look at you with a sigh.
“Okay.” He fixed his tie despite this whole thing only being audio, but you supposed it just made sense he was constantly aware of his appearance, “Let’s try a different approach.” He announced, “Just talk directly to your father.” He said, as if it was the simplest thing in the world, “Tell him to turn himself in and be sure to mention something only you would know. Do the same with your uncle for the sake of optics.” He ordered and you wanted to say you weren’t sure if your father committed his actions towards you to memory. Odds are many of those days and nights tattooed in your memory weren’t out of the ordinary for him, as mundane as brushing his teeth. However, you shut your mouth. It wasn’t your problem if it didn’t work.
You nodded and he gestured for you to start after Taehyung clicked the record button, “Father, I…” You took a deep breath as you tapped on your thigh mindlessly, “I think it’s time to atone for your sins.” Your words were shaky, “Remember? We don’t show fear, and you shouldn’t now.” The words were heavy on your tongue, “You told me that you find me in three years… that we would be a normal family after I begged you not to leave me alone, all by myself in a world I never got to see.” You wanted to choke on your father’s false promise, “It’s been five years since that day, and I’ve grown up a lot since then. I understand now more than ever how wrong you were about so much, and I have solemnly accepted the consequences of my actions under your guidance.” Your leg began bouncing as you spoke, “It’s time for you and uncle to do the same.” You tried to think of anything else to say, but it was all you had, so you looked at Namjoon, “Good?”
His eyes were clouded, and you were unable to make out how exactly he felt. However, one thing remained that was clear, he was undeniably skeptical of you. That was fine, you didn’t need his trust, you just needed your heart to be beating, “Yeah, that’ll do for now.” He nodded to Jimin and Taehyung, “If he doesn’t come forward, we may need more.” You nodded, and that was thankfully enough for him.
“You can let yourselves out.” You sighed, “I’m exhausted, so goodnight.” You didn’t bother to wait for a response as you turned on your heel and shut your bedroom door behind you.
Namjoon opened his mouth to mention that they didn’t have a key, but you didn’t seem to care anyway. He sighed, a mix of conflicting emotions swirling in his chest as Taehyung packed up.
“She’s the worst.” Tarhyung grumbled under his breath as Jimin curtly nodded. Namjoon rolled his eyes, knowing the two men well enough to see when they felt a twinge of regret. It was obvious at least some of what they heard about you was incorrect– if your statement was to be believed, that is.

Episode 7: Still Purple
Beyond the Star, produced by HYBE Media Studio
"Every single one of our performances was significant to us, they are all precious memories." – Jimin
The song Butterfly starts and I know this episode is going to be hard to watch because I'm already tearing up.
This is a long post. Apologies. There's a lot to say about it.
They are talking about what concert memories mean the most to them:
Hobi says it was their first stadium concert at the Rose Bowl which was the most significant memory for him as far as which concert was the most memorable.
Tumblr media
Jungkook says it was Chicago when it was the first time they'd ever performed in the rain:
Tumblr media
Jin says it's when they perform IDOL that is his favorite concert memory.
Jimin says even though fans would see what he's talking about through photos but in real life, what they see from the stage is so beautiful, words can't do justice to describe it:
Tumblr media
They reminisce about their concert at the Olympic Gymnastic Arena and recalling the emotions they felt then, that they had reached the top in 2016 are a very precious memory to them
Concerts are what they were made to do. Their type of performance, the big choreography, the big songs... big performances... belong on the live concert stage.
And now we're at the series of concerts that were to be their last before they really embark on Chapter 2: PTD Las Vegas.
BigHit/Hybe pulled out the stops for this one. The city of Las Vegas was all in and being the party city it is, it was one of the most fun and extravagant things I've ever witnessed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I 1000% regret not going. I didn't know it was going to be the last chance for a long time.
They get to do things like attend a few concerts and visit the Bellagio Fountain when the fountains of water are set to the rhythm of Dynamite and Butter. I know Hobi has a video of Jungkook and Tae vibing to Dynamite at the Bellagio Fountain on his camera roll! Show it to us Hobi!!
Tumblr media
Jimin, Yoongi and Namjoon went to the Silk Sonic concert.
I think it's curious that they do not mention the 2022 Grammy performance or event at all. When they left Seoul for this trip on March 28, 2022, Hobi was not with them because he had tested positive for covid prior to departure. Jungkook wasn't with them because he'd left the day before for the purpose of a work schedule but I don't remember what it was, and upon landing in the U.S. he tested positive for covid and had to quarantine until he had a negative test.
They were to perform at the Grammy Awards show on April 3, 2022. They were missing two members up until the day before the performance. Thankfully Hobi tested negative in time to catch a plane to Las Vegas:
Tumblr media
Jungkook tested negative the day before the performance and was able to practice ONCE with the group. Here he is doing a Vlive while quarantining in his hotel room:
Tumblr media
And after all that, they gave a performance of a lifetime during the Grammy Awards:
Tumblr media
Anyway... I digress... just curious they make no mention of it at all...
Jungkook brought his boxing coach (Coach Tommy) and this might be the workout he was doing prior to joining Hobi, Tae and Jimin for that Vlive following one of their concerts.
Tumblr media
Jungkook says the only thing he regrets about the previous 10 years was that it took him a while to realize certain things and then put them into practice.
Namjoon wonders what it would've been like had they ended things after ON and Yoongi reflects that they would've taken a break from November 2020, if the pandemic had not happened and they would've been on a break for about two and half years (for enlistment). They didn't expect the pandemic to go on for so long (none of us did).
Tumblr media
Namjoon wonders if he stayed true to the lyrics he wrote in ON while living his life. He thought they were running straight ahead all this time but as it turns out, they had gone in a circle and were back at the starting line. He contemplates what to do to run forward again.
The last PTD Las Vegas concert is bittersweet for all of us. So much has happened to culminate with this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tae says it's time for them to organize their thoughts so they can come back with a better image and performance and they aren't saying they are done, they are saying they've worked hard and now they need the time to grow.
Tumblr media
And then we see Jimin in the car, on the way home after their last PTD Seoul concert on March 13, 2020. He is on the phone inviting someone over. Guess who?
It looks like he's taken a shower. He shows us a pot of fish cake soup his dad made for him. Jimin prepares three place settings, fetches 3 bottles of soju, and pardon me but the fact Jimin has a can of spray cheez in his auxiliary kitchen changes everything for me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why is he consuming that and why does he store it above the kitchen sink in is extra kitchen? Why do these expensive apartments have two kitchens? Jimin barely needs one kitchen but he has two...
Anyway, Jungkook arrives and they proceed to eat and drink.
While they are having a conversation about what time they go to bed and wake up, Jimin says he might sleep until 4 pm and then this ensues:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Jungkook makes the remark that he sounds like Yoongi, off-camera, you can hear someone stifling their wheezing laugh. Staff camera man is in on the joke and the documentary editors are too as they cut briefly to Yoongi eating take out chicken.
Tumblr media
The editors were wrong for that! HAHAHAHAH!
Then Tae and Namjoon talk about and show us their living spaces and how they feel living on their own.
Namjoon is very particular about his space and he says its very precious to him. He says the way one curates their living space speaks a lot about their personality and taste. I agree 100%. He says he wants to show us his space so we can know what kind of person he is.
Tumblr media
Tae says he decorated his own space, commissioning art pieces for it. He has an extensive collection of vinyl records and puts on a yellow vinyl disc that appears to be Betty Wright, a recording of a live performance. He says boredom can be a given when living alone and he says he looks for Small but Definite Happiness in his daily life. SDH. We should all strive to do that.
Tumblr media
Then we're back at Jimin's and Jungkook is cooking more food, chopping vegetables. FYI, that Miele induction cooktop is about $3,500.
Watching Jimin retell the story of when one of his friends pointed out that he seemed depressed, was not himself, was one of the most revealing things we've ever heard from Jimin.
Tumblr media
And now he feels he's in a very healthy place. I'm gonna elaborate on this in another blog post when I'm done with this series.
All in all, the members had to learn to live alone after living together for 8 years or more for some of them.
Yoongi reflects on running so hard in their 20s. He wonders if they shouldn't have enjoyed themselves more and not let the pressures become overwhelming. Regardless, now that he's reached 30, all those worries and thoughts have disappeared and he feels liberated.
I've realized some of these interviews for these episodes were conducted on the day they traveled from Seoul to Las Vegas because they are wearing the same clothing.
Episode 8 coming soon... and more.

~*~
“Let me get this straight,” Jimin says through a mouthful of tteokbokki. He’s still in his sweats and t-shirt from dance practice, and his tiny bean sprout ponytail bobs up and down as he chews. “The coworker who is a jerk to you, and who you think suspects that you faked your way into this job, and who locked you out of the office tonight… is Suga?”
You stab angrily at a fish cake, your voice sullen. “Yes.”
“Like, the Suga?”
“Is there another?”
“The extremely famous and talented and all-around big fucking deal producer, Suga? That’s who you picked to be your arch-nemesis?”
“Shut up!” You flop back angrily onto the floor of your living room. “I didn’t pick him! If anything, he kind of picked me. He could’ve just been nice to me, and none of this would be happening.”
Jimin nods, returning to his food. “Well, he does have great taste in tteokbokki, if that counts for anything.”
You throw an arm over your eyes and groan. “He’s such a fucking… smug asshole jerk face.”
“You have such a way with words,” Jimin giggles, and you grab a pillow off your couch and launch it at him. He only barely manages to duck out of the way. “Hey!”
You flop over onto your side, cheek rubbing against the carpet. After a few moments of silence, you feel Jimin’s socked foot wiggle against your ear. You instinctively reach out and grab it. “What are you thinking?”
“I’m thinking,” you grunt, “about all the things I’d like to do to destroy that man. Like maybe trash his office, key his car… and you had a good idea with the rat poison in the coffee thing.”
“I actually specifically told you not to do that—”
“I don’t understand why he has to make my life so hard,” you steamroll over Jimin, giving his foot another squeeze. “I didn’t do anything to him, and it’s like he takes every opportunity he has to question me, belittle me, berate me, embarrass me, and just generally drive me fucking insane.” Your grip tightens reflexively with each word as you get angrier and angrier.
“Okay, ow! Don’t take it out on me!” Jimin jerks his leg and you release. He rubs tenderly at the top of his foot, which you were nearly crushing to death moments before.
Too indignant to apologize, you roll onto your back once more and stare up at the ceiling. “Maybe I should just quit. I can find a job where all my coworkers are nice and normal.”
“Are you really going to give in like that? You know that’s exactly what he wants you to do!” Jimin pauses for a moment, a sly smile on his face. “And besides, this is only the beginning of your story.”
You give him a look. “What on earth does that mean?”
“I’m just saying, if your life was a drama, this would be like… episode 2.”
You groan, your head smacking back against the carpet. “You watch too much TV.”
“I’m serious, this is a perfect set up. You’ve got the enemies part down, tensions are high, you’re both scheming to get back at each other— then BAM!” He smacks his hand on your coffee table for emphasis.
“Please, tell me what happens.” You deadpan with a roll of your eyes.
Jimin pauses as if considering the options. “Well, it depends. There’s a few directions the story could go. One of you could develop amnesia—” he makes a face. “Bleh, so overdone. You might realize you knew each other when you were kids.”
He pauses to shove a rice cake in his mouth, then continues as he chews. “But the most likely outcome is, of course, discovering that under all that hatred, you actually deeply desire one another.”
At this, you sit up. “What?!”
“Come on, enemies to lovers. It’s a classic.”
You glare at him. “Are you trying to get smacked?”
Jimin puts his hands up. “No more physical violence! I’m an innocent man.” He scoots back, attempting to get out of your range. “It’s just… basic physics. All that tension’s gotta go somewhere. When you and Suga end up hatefucking on the conference table, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
He’s not fast enough to avoid the second couch pillow, which hits him squarely in the face.
~*~
You’re up an hour before your alarm the next morning, fueled purely by anger, and you make it to the office so early, Jungkook is still in his boxing class. This time, the door gives when you push, and you slam it open so hard you nearly dislocate your shoulder.
You storm down the hall to Yoongi’s lab—he’s lost the privilege of you calling him by his stupid producer name now—and smack your fist against the door.
“Open the fucking door, Yoongi!” You shout, realizing only a little too late that you didn’t censor yourself. Hopefully no one is around to hear; it’s not even 7 AM so you’re almost definitely the first one in the office. Even if you aren’t, you’re too far gone to really care.
The second the door cracks, before you even catch a glimpse of him, you jam your foot in the opening to prevent him from closing it again. “Give me my keys back, and give me one good reason why I shouldn’t have you fired today,” you hiss.
The door swings open a little wider until you can actually see him on the other side. He looks… bad. The deep purple circles under his eyes could nearly pass for bruises, and you realize he’s wearing the same clothes he had on last night.
Irrelevant, you tell yourself. Still stole your keys. Still an asshole. No mercy.
“Fine,” he grunts, and his voice sounds like gravel. He crosses back towards his desk, and you take the opportunity to push your way inside and slam the door behind you.
You round on him. “I don’t know what kind of game you think this is, but I am not fucking playing.”
Yoongi stifles a yawn as he grabs the keys off his desk. “It’s not personal, I just needed to get this track done, and I couldn’t focus with you banging on the door and yelling about how hungry you were.” He turns back to you, keys in hand, and smirks. “And blasting your awful music.”
You open your palm for the keys and he drops them into your hand.
“Track’s done,” he continues with a shrug, “so I’m good now. Until next time.” He walks past you, so close he nearly shoulder-checks you, and collapses onto the leather couch in the corner of his office. He curls up on his side, facing away from you. “Turn off the lights when you leave.”
You stand there, bewildered. “Hey, no, I’m not done! You don’t get to sleep.” You stalk after him and kick the base of the couch for emphasis, which doesn’t do anything except hurt your foot. “We need a better plan for next time, because I am not repeating last night ever again,” you say firmly. “I don’t care how much you hate me, you need to figure out a way to work with me, because I take my job seriously. I’ll wear these keys around my fucking neck if I have to.”
Yoongi gives a frustrated groan, most likely at the fact that you’re still talking, and rolls over to cross his arms behind his head and look up at you. He sighs for a moment, examining you in a way that makes you long to put your hands around his neck and squeeze. Then finally, he speaks.
“Yeah, you take this job so seriously. That’s why you’ve never used a computer before.” He laughs dryly. “Where did they find you? Don’t tell me…” He hums sleepily as he pretends to think. “You decided you couldn’t hack being a bartender anymore. I mean, you aren’t personable enough to make decent money, that’s obvious. So, you had someone, maybe a coworker, fake a reference so you could break into the corporate world.”
He yawns again; your stomach drops as his words hang heavy in the air. What hurts even worse is how close he came to the truth.
That stupid smirk is back on his stupid face. “Seems like I got it. You really have no poker face, has anyone ever told you that?”
You cross your arms with a huff, embarrassed by how easily he can read you. “Shut up.” You hate that he makes you feel like this, always so flustered and unprepared, even when he’s half asleep.
Yoongi fishes in the pocket of his sweatpants for a second, then pulls out his phone. “Give me your number.”
Your stomach drops. “What? No. Why?”
“I’ll call you when I need to get into the studio,” he says, like it’s obvious. “Then you can come unlock it for me, miss key-holder.”
You make a face. “And what makes you think I’ll drop everything to help you?”
Yoongi stretches and groans, one hand reaching up to rub the back of his neck. His shirt just barely rides up, exposing a stripe of pale skin and the black band of his boxers that peeks over his sweatpants.
Your eyes linger for a second, and Jimin’s trashy TV show theory comes back to you. You force yourself to avert your gaze and not think about hatefucking on a conference table– because that is never, ever happening. You turn away from Yoongi entirely and take in the so-called Genius Lab.
It dawns on you that you’ve never actually been in here before. Half the room is taken up by a desk which boasts a sleek desktop and six monitors that you’re sure would easily cover more than a year’s worth of your rent in price. A massive second screen is mounted on the wall, and littered across the desk are things you only vaguely recognize as mixers, interfaces, and drum machines.
To your left is a gorgeous keyboard, to your right, an entire electric drum kit. Hidden LED lights run along the edges of the walls, bathing the room in a soft purple glow, which you don’t hate. You spin in a full circle to take it all in.
Against the back wall is the leather couch, next to the door. For a split second you wonder how many times he’s slept there instead of going home— or gone without sleep at all, like he apparently did last night. The thought makes your heart sink a bit.
Your gaze lands back on Yoongi, who you realize has been watching you. When he speaks, his voice is even and serious.
“You’ll answer when I call because, supposedly, this job means a lot to you. I doubt you’d be too happy if I started planting ideas in the boss’ head about your complete lack of experience.” He shrugs. “The way I see it, you can probably make it a couple months here before people start to catch on. Or, I can go talk to the boss today, and we can expedite the process. Just depends on whether or not you give me what I want.”
You instantly regret feeling any ounce of empathy for him when you realize he’s fucking blackmailing you. “You wouldn’t,” you hiss, but you already know he absolutely would.
“Do you really want to take that chance?”
You open and close your mouth, trying to think of a way out, but you’re very much backed into this corner. Defeated, you recite off your number, and he types it into his phone.
“But I am not pulling all-nighters here,” you clarify. “I don’t care how behind on a deadline you are, when I’m tired, I get to kick you out so we can both go home.”
“Whatever.” He lets his phone drop to the floor next to him and throws an arm over his eyes. You can see you are effectively dismissed, and you make sure to leave the lights on as you storm out, just to spite him.
When you get back to your desk, Jungkook is standing at the front door, looking confused. “There you are! Wow, how early did you get in? Everything okay?”
You press the cold metal of your key against the palm of your hand and try to remind yourself that you do still have power. Fuck what Min Yoongi says. You don’t have to do anything for him. You’re the one in control here.
“Yep, everything’s great,” you say with a smile. Jungkook gives a nod that looks equal parts affirming and confused.
“Oh hey, Jungkook?” You stop him before he disappears off to his own desk. “Any chance I could join you at that boxing class?”
~*~
“Wow, have you done this before?” Jungkook is short of breath as the two of you circle each other in preparation to review the final combination of class.
“Nope.”
The instructor gives the signal, and you run it again.
Right hook. Stupid floppy hair always falling in his face when he’s threatening you. Left uppercut. Stupid patronizing smirk when he’s laughing at you. Right hook again. Stupid dark eyes that make you feel like you can’t do anything right when he’s looking at you.
Cross, jab, cross. “Stupid— fucking— asshole!” You grunt under your breath as you slam your fists into Jungkook’s gloves. When the instructor calls time, you drop to your knees on the mat, panting hard and unfortunately still fucking furious. This class wasn’t exactly the release you were hoping for.
“That’s it for today, great work everybody! And remember, we should only ever be hitting at 50% strength while we’re partnered!” The instructor gives you a not-so-subtle look as the class disperses, and you glance sheepishly up at Jungkook. He wiggles a hand out of his glove and offers it to help you to your feet.
“Be honest, did I break you?” You ask, still trying to get your breath back.
Jungkook shrugs like it’s no big deal. “I can take it. It was kind of impressive, actually. You’re really good, especially for your first time.” He pauses, and you can tell he’s trying to be polite and not ask the extremely obvious question.
You answer it anyway, wiping sweat from your temples. “I’ll tell you at breakfast.”
One body shower and a speed-run application of your makeup later, you’re standing in line for egg sandwiches and pretending not to notice Jungkook tenderly rubbing his thumb over the center of his palm. You do feel a little bad for hitting him so hard. It’s not like any of this is his fault.
“So, I get back to the office with the food, and that’s when I discover that he locked me out,” you say with a frustrated sigh. It’s still embarrassing to admit it out loud. “I left my keys on my desk and he managed to grab them without me noticing.”
“Wow,” Jungkook breathes. “That’s terrible. I mean, I feel like you should tell someone.”
Your pulse quickens as you realize you can’t exactly share the entire story. Jungkook has done way too much for you already, and the thought of revealing that he’s stuck his neck out for someone who is a complete fraud and is now being blackmailed about it is more than you can handle.
You sigh. “I think it’s okay now. I mean, I was picturing his face on your gloves. My ego definitely still hurts. But we worked it out, I guess. Sort of. It’s hard to explain.”
You pause, wondering if that sounds weird. Jungkook has a strange expression on his face that you can’t decipher. “At least, he won’t take my keys anymore, I can tell you that,” you continue. “I’m never letting them out of my sight again.”
You fidget with the strap of your purse over your shoulder. “The only thing that pisses me off is the fact that he gets an extra lock on his door. Even I can’t stop him from locking himself in that stupid fucking lab. And then what am I supposed to do?”
Jungkook looks like he’s going to say something, but you’re called up to order, and by the time you have your breakfast in hand the conversation has changed entirely and he’s pulling up his phone to show you his most recent viral TikTok. You welcome the distraction— you’re honestly tired of talking about Yoongi. The rage hasn’t dissipated, but it’s at least a little more contained, enough that you think you can probably make it through the day without being escorted from the building in handcuffs.
With a few different projects you’re a part of all starting to ramp up, you’ve got plenty of things to attend to when you sit down at your desk to begin the workday. In fact, you don’t think about the conversation with Jungkook again until an email from him pops up in your inbox just after lunch.
The subject line “use it for good” is enough to pique your interest, and you click the message open and scan down. There’s no greeting or signature— there actually aren’t any words at all. Just four numbers stare back at you: 0 7 0 5.
Your heart jumps into your throat as you realize what it is. The code.
“Can’t lock me out now, asshole,” you mutter happily to yourself as you file the email away for safekeeping.
~*~
A week passes in a relative truce, or at the very least a stalemate. Yoongi says nothing to you, and you say nothing right back, more than happy with the silence. You don’t have any scheduled projects or meetings together for the foreseeable future either, thank god. He keeps to his 5:55 exit schedule, and you wake up an extra hour early to beat the shit out of Jungkook’s hands every morning.
But of course, you know it’s only a matter of time; eventually, giving him your number does indeed come back to bite you in the ass.
Tuesday night, you split the last of the bottle of prosecco between two glasses on the coffee table as Jimin tilts his head back to readjust the lay of his sheet mask. Ahn Hyoseop’s beautiful face is paused on the screen as the two of you are neck deep in your third rewatch of Business Proposal. You pick the remote up, but right before you can unpause, your phone rings loudly from between the couch cushions.
Jimin does his best to keep his face still as you dig for it, instead opting to make a noise of surprise. “Who is that? Everyone who calls you is already here.”
You smack him hard in the side as you finally retrieve your phone, only to groan when you see PROD ASSHOLE as the listed caller.
You’d dug Yoongi’s number out of the company’s HR database specifically so you could save it in your phone and ignore his calls. The rude contact name is a fun bonus, but it doesn’t make it any less annoying that he’s able to ruin your relaxation whenever he so chooses. It’s like he purposefully waited for the perfect moment to disturb you.
You make a mental note to sweep your apartment for cameras later, and then you swipe to ignore the call.
Jimin returns a smack in kind on your upper arm. “I’m sorry, you gave Suga your phone number? And you’re ignoring his calls?! And you’re telling me this isn’t my new favorite drama?”
“Shut the fuck up, Jimin.” You unpause the TV, eager to squash this line of conversation and get back to Taemu and Hari sucking face.
When your phone starts vibrating repeatedly as texts flood in, one after another, you turn it on silent and flip it facedown on the coffee table. Then you drain the last of your glass of wine in one swallow. Not tonight, Yoongi.
Of course, you don’t know what else you expected when Yoongi barges into work on Wednesday morning and strides right up to you, stupid iced Americano in one hand and his phone in the other.
Before you realize what he’s doing or have any time to react, your phone starts buzzing against your desk, PROD ASSHOLE flashing across the screen. You snatch it, but you’re certain he had plenty of time to see his not-so-professional contact name.
He seems taken aback for a second and ends the call, then laughs. “I really thought you gave me a fake number. I see now you were just ignoring me.”
You roll your eyes, doing your best to continue the email you were midway through typing. “No, Yoongi, I was sleeping. What normal people do at night.” You can tell he’s glaring at you even without looking, because you instantly start forgetting how to spell basic words.
“Hmm,” he grunts after a moment. “Well, a normal person like you might want to keep your phone on, unless you want to go back to bartending at night instead of sleeping.”
Yoongi stalks off down the hall towards his lab, clearly uninterested in anything else you have to say. It takes every shred of willpower in you to restrain yourself from throwing a stapler at his retreating head.
~*~
Thursday morning, you tell Jungkook you can’t grab breakfast after class. You don’t share the specifics with him, and he doesn’t pry. You have something much more important to attend to.
The minute the boxing instructor dismisses everyone, you rip your gloves off and race to be the first person to shower and change out in the locker room. You don’t even bother with your makeup, opting instead to bring it with you to put on in the bathroom. You nearly get run over as you fully sprint down the street towards the office.
When you unlock the door and push it open, panting from the effort, you glance at your phone for the time.
7:05 AM. Perfect.
Setting your purse down, you lean up against your desk and scroll through your contact list until you find the name you’re looking for, working to get your breathing back under control. The line rings once, twice, and you almost think it will go to voicemail until the very last second.
“…Hello?” His voice is even lower than it normally is, and rough with sleep.
“Hi,” you try for your warmest corporate tone, but your voice still shakes a little. “Is this Min Yoongi?”
“Mmm?” You hear shifting on the other end of the phone, like he’s sitting up in bed.
“Good morning, this is your admin. Just wanted to inform you that the studio is now open for the day.” You will yourself to keep your voice neutral. “If you get hit by one of your big genius breakthroughs, you’re more than welcome to come in anytime between now and close.”
Yoongi makes a frustrated, exhausted sound, and you have to bite down on your lip to keep from laughing. “…Goddammit. I was sleeping.”
“Aw, so sorry.” You quickly hang up and nearly throw your phone onto your desk, your heart hammering in your chest. You can’t manage to keep the self-satisfied smirk off your face as you ride the high of that phone call for the rest of the day.
You’re stifling a yawn on the bus ride home that night when your phone rings. For the briefest moment a thrill of fear runs through you, but it’s just Jimin. You drop your head against the window as you slide to answer the call, watching the lights of the city stream by.
“Hi bestie.”
Jimin wastes no time. “Two questions, ranked in order of importance from least to most. One, are we still going out tomorrow night?”
“A thousand percent yes, I need a drink. Several drinks. And I promise, no puking this time.” You’re curious what his next question could be; what could possibly be more important?
“That brings me to two.” He pauses, building some sort of tension that is entirely lost on you. “How do you feel about the Grammy news?”
Your eyebrows pinch together, and you shift sideways on the bus seat to stretch your legs out. “What?”
“Uh, hello, don’t you work in the music industry? You know Grammy nominations dropped today, right?”
“I—” You falter. “Well, no, actually, I wasn’t aware. It didn’t come up. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if all our talent was snubbed, they’re not exactly known for their global inclusivity—”
Jimin laughs over you as if in disbelief. “You really don’t know. Oh, this is so fun for me. You’d better think again, because your very own male lead was, in fact, nominated.” You clap a hand over your mouth. “He produced one of the songs up for Song of the Year. Look it up, bitch.”
You partially uncover your mouth so you can speak. “First of all, call him my male lead again and this friendship is over.” Jimin scoffs on the other end of the line, and you do your best to keep your voice quiet despite the overwhelming shock. “But seriously, what the hell, Jimin?! You better not be fucking with me right now. Actually, hang on.”
You pry your phone away from your ear to do a quick Google search. The results that stare back at you quickly confirm that Jimin is, in fact, not fucking with you. When you press the phone to your cheek again, he’s still going.
“I seriously can’t believe I’m the one telling you this. You literally work with him.”
“He didn’t say anything about it.” You shake your head as you say it, trying to understand. “Nobody did. This doesn’t make any sense.” You rub wearily at your temple, suddenly filled with dread at the thought of how insufferable Yoongi might be when you see him next.
But come Friday morning, to your surprise, Yoongi isn’t insufferable at all. In fact, he’s not even there. You can barely focus on getting anything done— you feel like you’re glancing up every five minutes, anticipating the moment where he’ll finally burst through the doors, officially a Grammy-nominated producer, hellbent on driving you insane about it.
But the hours slowly tick by, and he never shows.
You convince yourself that surely, a third cup of coffee is what you need to be able to concentrate on your work, never mind the fact that your hands are already shaking from the first two.
When you step into the break room, Jungkook is sitting at a table, scrolling through his phone while absolutely destroying a to-go salad. You fix your mug of coffee and take the seat across from him, and he waves his fork at you. “Happy Friday!”
You only grunt in response, then wince inwardly when you realize you sound like Yoongi, and then that thought alone is enough to make your pulse race all over again. You have to resist the urge to bang your head on the table, and instead do your best to smile back at Jungkook and control the emotional chaos inside your brain.
“Sorry. It’s been a long week.”
“Tell me about it,” he says through a mouthful of chicken.
You take a sip from your mug, contemplating whether or not to leave it alone. But you know you can’t. “Hey, can I ask you a question?”
“Always.” Jungkook locks his phone and sets it down, giving you his undivided attention. “What’s up?”
You pause, trying to figure out how the hell to word it. “Did you see the… news?” You lower your voice a little. “The Grammy nominations?”
Jungkook’s eyes widen and he chews a little faster. “Yeah, it’s crazy right?”
You stare blankly at him, waiting for more, then shake your head. “I don’t understand why nobody’s talking about it! I feel like that should kind of be a big deal, you know? At least worthy of a team meeting? Or an email?”
He shrugs. “Suga probably asked them not to. He’s weird about that kind of stuff.” Jungkook must be able to read the look of pure confusion on your face, because he pushes his salad away and continues.
“For instance, a couple months after I started working here, he had a track hit number one on Billboard, which I thought was pretty cool. So—” his face reddens a little, and he honestly looks embarrassed, almost cringing. “I was just trying to be nice, so I threw a little surprise thing here, just to congratulate him after work.”
You pull your bottom lip into your mouth, biting back the urge to tell Jungkook that he is genuinely too pure for this world.
“But yeah, we get maybe fifteen minutes into the party and then we realize nobody can find Suga. Turns out he went back to his studio and locked himself in.” He shakes his head as he reaches for his salad again and stabs at a few pieces of lettuce. “I even got him a cake. I don’t think I saw him take one bite.”
You smile sympathetically. “It sounds like a really sweet gesture.”
Jungkook shrugs, talking with his mouth full. “Yeah, it was good, too. Red velvet.”
Everything whirls around in your head and you do your best to make it make sense as you walk back to your desk. You can’t understand how the puzzle pieces of “smug asshole” Min Yoongi and “hiding in his office to avoid his own party” Min Yoongi fit together. More importantly, you don’t understand why you care about Min Yoongi at all. If anything, you should be rejoicing in this Min Yoongi-free day– god, you can’t even stop thinking his name, what the hell is wrong with you?
You shake your head in hopes that it might get your brain to calm the fuck down, and as you pull your chair out, you notice a red blinking light on your desk phone, indicating the mailbox is full. When you pick up the receiver and start to play back the messages, your jaw drops.
It is not an exaggeration: every music publication you’ve ever heard of, plus many more that you haven’t, has called within the last 24 hours, all with the same agenda— to schedule an interview with the Grammy-nominated producer Suga. You groan internally as you play back dozens of messages in a row from eager reporters, all of whom have left a number to call back. You’d rather rip the phone out of the wall, you think to yourself, but then a much better idea starts to take shape in your head.
No one has technically told you to avoid discussing the Grammy nomination— gossiping in the break room with Jungkook doesn’t count as a legitimate channel for workplace communications.
So it stands to reason that in this situation, you should do what any good admin would do and set up as many interviews as possible. If they just so happen to be for a producer who hates meetings, and apparently hates recognition of his successes… Well, how were you to know that?
You practice your innocent smile, keeping the receiver pressed to your ear with your shoulder as you navigate to Yoongi’s calendar and start scheduling.
~*~
“Drink up, bitch!”
Hours later, you lock your arm through Jimin’s as you each throw back another shot, far from the first of the night. You lost count somewhere after four. He immediately scrunches up his face and shakes his head, trying not to gag, but you’ve had enough that yours goes down like water.
“Amateur,” you giggle, bopping your head to the thudding beat of the music as Jimin grabs the lime from the rim of your last drink and pulls it into his mouth for some relief.
It takes you a minute to differentiate the buzz against your hip from the all-encompassing pulse of the music, but when they eventually end up on different tempos, you automatically fumble for your purse. Your limbs feel heavy and delayed as you work to dig out your phone, which has inevitably sunk to the very bottom of your bag.
You’re definitely well past tipsy and hurtling pleasantly towards drunk, which is why you don’t even think to check the name on your screen before you slide to accept the call.
“Hello?” You instantly realize that trying to take a phone call in a club is not one of your better ideas.
“Hang on,” you tell whoever’s on the other end. “It’s loud. Hang on. Shit.” You stumble away from your table, waving over your shoulder to Jimin and hoping he can telepathically understand that you’ll be right back. At first you head for the restroom, but halfway there it starts to seem like a bad idea, so you swing in a circle, immediately colliding with the person behind you. Profusely apologizing, you head for the back of the building, trying not to smack into anyone else.
There’s a door that leads outside to the patio, where a few groups of people stand in semi-circles, smoking or vaping or just getting some air. You continue walking unsteadily along the side of the building until the bass-boosted speakers are reduced to a dull thud, and then you hear someone calling your name on the phone in your hand.
Oh, yeah. You’d forgotten the purpose of going out here in the first place. You press the phone back up to your ear, wobbling in place in your heels.
“Are you there?” The voice nearly yells, and you wince.
“Hiiiiii,” you start, and then immediately have to choke back a laugh because wow, you’re more fucked up than you realized. The combination of walking and talking has provided you with a solid reality check. “Um, who is this?”
There’s a pause on the other end, long enough that you’re about to pull your phone away and make sure the call didn’t drop, but then an uncomfortably familiar voice speaks. “I thought you had me saved. As a very colorful name, if I remember right.”
You blink, trying to focus your mind enough to process the words. That voice… The name swims back to you. “Prod Asshole?”
“Hi,” Yoongi says flatly. “You know I have you saved as Admin Bitch?”
Oh, fuck. You let out an accidental whine, kicking your head back so far you smack it against the wall of the building. You do not want to talk to Min Yoongi– ever, really, but especially not right now.
“You’re the fucking bitch,” you retort. Any semblance of professionalism has disappeared somewhere in the many rounds of drinks you’ve thrown back over the evening.
“Sure,” he says, sounding unfazed. “I need to get into the studio.”
You turn your head to press your cheek against the brick wall, keeping your phone tight to your other ear. “Yoongi, it’s Friday night.”
“I’m aware,” he says dryly, and you can see the stupid fucking smirk on his face when you close your eyes. “You’ve clearly been celebrating. You know it happens every week, right? No need to get alcohol poisoning about it.”
“Fuck off,” you groan into the wall.
“Where are you? I’ll send an Uber. I just need a couple hours.”
Hours? Now he’s pissing you the fuck off. You pull your face off the wall, pivoting to lean up against it instead, and nearly eat shit when your ankle rolls. Stupid high heels. You manage to right yourself and realize Yoongi is waiting for an answer.
“Why should I do literally anything for you?” You start, indignant. “You’re just a fucking… smug bastard asshole.” Ugh, not your best work. You really are drunk. You press the hand that isn’t holding your phone up to your forehead, as if that might make your brain work better.
“You’re not wrong,” Yoongi says. “But I finally figured out what my project is missing, and you already blew me off once this week.”
“I don’t caaaaaare.”
“Well, you probably should.” He pauses, almost definitely trying to be dramatic, and you hiccup. “You see,” he continues, “I found something today.”
Are you gonna puke? No, you’re not gonna puke. You’re strong. You’re fine.
“You there?”
What you are is fucking sick of this asshole. Why is he still talking? “What, Yoongi?”
“Remember those expenses you had to reconcile?” He asks, and you really don’t. You squint, trying to recall, but he just keeps going. “I was looking back on my financials for the quarter so I pulled them up in the system and…” He pauses and you swear you hear him laugh softly. “Well, it’s kind of funny. The charge codes are all wrong. Literally all of them.”
Is he enjoying this? You think he might be enjoying this.
He’s still going. “Which, of course, everyone makes mistakes, but I mean… They aren’t even close, really. Certainly not the thing someone with years of experience would fuck up. It would be pretty questionable, if I was upper management. How could an experienced admin assistant make such a rookie mistake?”
You groan, leaning forward slightly. You actually might puke.
“Of course, I fixed them.”
At this, you snap your head up. “You what?”
“I mean, they are fixed. Right here, on my laptop. All I have to do is hit enter. But...” Your fist involuntarily clenches at the over-acted sigh he lets out. Oh, it would feel so good to kill him. You don’t think you’d even mind the jail time.
“It seems wrong, you know? I think I need to be in the studio to do it. Work-life balance, right?” Yoongi gives a small, self-satisfied chuckle, and now you know he’s enjoying this. “It’s just unfortunate, since that report’s gonna auto-generate tomorrow morning. By the time you or I get in on Monday, the boss will already have it on his desk. All those very, very wrong codes. It’s such a shame, really. If only someone could do something.”
A thrum of actual panic runs through you; you’re not quite so drunk that you’re immune to the very real threat of losing your job. You smack one heel backwards against the brick wall, helpless to do anything else. “I fucking hate you.”
“That’s fine. I just need your location.”
Yanking the phone away from your ear, you slam the button to end the call and shoot him a quick text with the club’s name before you can talk yourself out of it. You’d cry if you weren’t so fucking pissed off, but instead you sling your purse over your shoulder and storm back inside to find Jimin.
“What the fuck happened to you?!” He shouts to be heard over the music, and you roll your eyes and shake your head.
“We don’t have time. I have to go, baby mochi. It’s a stupid fucking asshole work emergency.”
He must be taken aback because he doesn’t even pause to make a joke about the TV show that is your life. “I’ll come with you?”
You scrunch your face up at the thought. “Trust me, you don’t want to deal with this. I don’t even want to deal with this, but I’m literally going to get fired if I don’t.” You squish his cheeks between your palms. “Just go. Be wild and free. Remember me and tell my story.” Jimin’s eyes narrow as he laughs between your hands, and you press a kiss to his nose. “I love you. I’ll text you when I get home.”
You do your best to sober up in the car on the ride over, but it’s no small task, and when you reach the company’s floor, Yoongi is waiting for you, leaning up against the glass doors looking impatient and tired.
He raises an eyebrow as you step off the elevator and it’s only a split second, but you see his eyes rake over your body and back up. Fuck. You weren’t exactly sober enough to consider that he’d have to witness you in your clubbing outfit: a black mini dress and sky high heels, much racier than anything you'd wear to the office. Heat creeping up your neck, you dig in your bag for the keys and will yourself not to read into whatever the fuck that look was.
You get the door unlocked and step through, then purposefully let it slam back in his face, because you’re absolutely going to be a petty bitch about this entire thing.
Seemingly unbothered, Yoongi follows you inside and brushes past you. It’s not lost on you that neither of you have said a fucking word to each other. He heads straight for his lab and you hear the door shut a second later.
Nothing else to do, you pull out your desk chair and slump forward, resting your head on your arms with a frustrated groan.
When the world spins back into focus, it takes you a second to remember where you are and the events that led you here. Your head is pounding, your throat dry as sandpaper. You blink blearily at your phone, realizing you must have fallen asleep at your desk, and it takes you almost a full minute to digest the time on your screen. 2:43 AM.
You have approximately one billion texts and voicemails from Jimin, so you quickly shoot back a reply so he knows to call off the search party. Then you drag yourself out of your chair and down the hallway to Yoongi’s lab.
So tired you can barely stand, you slump against the wall next to the door and give a loud bang of a knock. Another minute ticks by with no response.
Maybe he fell asleep too, you reason. You’re staring at the door, trying to mentally force it open, when your eyes glance over the combination lock. Jungkook’s email jumps into your mind; your heart leaps into your throat. God bless that Baby Star Candy.
Quietly and carefully, you lean forward to press the numbers on the number pad in the right order. 0 7 0 5. You close your hand around the handle and feel it turn; the lock gives. You realize you’re holding your breath as you slowly push the door open and step over the threshold.
Yoongi is slumped in his desk chair, headphones on, half turned away from his computer so all you can see is his side profile. For a second, you think he’s sleeping— his head is tipped back, the column of his neck exposed. His eyes are closed, his lips parted slightly, his breathing shallow. But then you see a flash of his tongue working at the corner of his mouth and it suddenly dawns on you that he is very much not asleep.
Your brain processes the rest of the picture in rapid succession. The muscles of his right arm are tensed in a tight grip. The silver jewelry on his wrist catches the light as he motions up and down. His white t-shirt is riding up, and his sweatpants are pushed low enough that you can see the flat plane of his stomach. And then your eyes trace even lower, to where his delicate fingers are wrapped firmly around his completely exposed and fully erect cock.
It is, unfortunately, the most attractive thing you’ve ever seen.
You should leave. You know you should. You are not supposed to be seeing this. But you’re still more than a little drunk, and Yoongi’s dick is pale and long and unfairly pretty. Precum leaks from the tip and he slows his pace just slightly, using his thumb to rub the wetness over the head of his dick. He gives a hoarse groan at the feeling and the sound thrums though you.
Your imagination takes off running before you can tell it not to. You wonder what it would feel like to replace the hand on his cock with your own. What other noises you might elicit from him if you were to tease your tongue up his shaft and then swallow him down.
His eyelashes flutter and you take a step back, bumping into the half-open door behind you and grabbing it to steady yourself. The movement is enough to make Yoongi open his eyes. When his gaze locks with yours, his pupils are blown black with lust. You swallow hard, and you see a flicker of recognition in his face as he processes that you’re in the room, too.
The gravity of the situation finally lands. “F-fuck, sorry!” You stutter, then you scramble to push the door open and back out of his lab as fast as you can.
You race to your desk, hands shaking, head reeling, and your heart feels like it’s about to beat out of your chest. What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck. Your mind instantly jumps to denial: maybe you’re still asleep at your desk. If this is a nightmare, you’d really like to wake up now.
You take a seat and do your best to steady your breathing and calm down. It’s fine, you tell yourself, it was a mistake. Just don’t think about it. Don’t think about Yoongi, or his dick, or his hands, or his mouth, or his tongue– it occurs to you that you’re in way too fucking deep here.
It’s been entire minutes of trying to get your shit together by the time you hear his door open again, but you’re no more composed than you were the second you sprinted down the hallway.
Yoongi is, remarkably, even quieter than usual. You drop your gaze when you hear his footsteps approach; there’s absolutely no way you can look at him right now. There’s a pause as he stops in front of your desk, and then after what feels like an eternity, he finally speaks.
“How did you know the code?”
You wince, still staring down at your lap. “Jungkook gave it to me. In case I needed it.”
“That traitor,” Yoongi huffs under his breath. You say nothing.
“Look,” he starts again with a sigh. “I–-obviously you weren’t supposed to see that. It’s just something that helps me, sometimes, to get unstuck. This is embarrassing. I really didn’t mean…”
You think he might actually be about to apologize for once in his life, but then he stops talking. You can feel him studying you, and you try to hide how badly your hands are trembling, how hot your face is, but that only makes both conditions worse.
Yoongi says your name like a question, but you shake your head and keep your gaze lowered. He can clearly tell now that you are completely unable to make eye contact with him.
“Don’t tell me that was the first dick you’ve ever seen.”
That makes your head snap up. “Shut up. I’ve seen dicks. Plenty.”
Yoongi gets a strange look in his dark eyes and flattens both of his palms on the front of your desk, leaning forward. He looks like he’s debating whether or not he should say something, and then he gives a little shrug. You can’t really blame him for foregoing the filter. You are still drunk, and you just saw his penis.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d think you liked what you saw.”
Your face drops and you swallow hard. You can’t help it.
His eyes widen. “Oh. Oh, wow. You seriously need to work on your poker face.”
“Shut up,” you hiss.
“This is incredibly useful information.”
“Stop talking, Yoongi.”
He rubs his hands together with a soft laugh. “Huh. Well. In any case, I’m done for tonight. Definitely can’t get back to it now. Would you like a ride home?”
You fix him in the most murderous glare you’re capable of. “I’d rather fucking walk. Barefoot. Through broken glass. In the ninth circle of hell–”
“Point taken. Let me get you another Uber then. It’s the least I can do.”
Your ego jumps to decline, but you have no idea how you’d get home otherwise. You wince at the thought of tonight’s bar tab and your rent bill that’s due tomorrow. You’re really not in the financial position to say no to a free ride.
“Fine.”
Yoongi schedules the car while you gather your things, and you’re almost out the door when your stomach turns and your knees go weak. You nearly twist an ankle in your heels as you scramble backwards towards your desk.
“Wait, wait, shit! The charge codes, Yoongi, the codes. Did you fix them? What time does the report run? Oh my god, I totally forgot. I’m so fucked.”
He watches you with a furrowed brow at first, then recognition lights up his face. “Oh, yes. The codes.”
Yoongi pauses for a moment with that infuriating expression, like he’s holding all the cards and trying to figure out how much he should tell you, then he slowly walks towards your desk to close the distance between you.
“Ahh, you’ve had a hard enough night, I won’t keep it going. I lied to you.”
“You what?” Your mouth goes dry.
“Your codes were perfect. Exceptional, really, especially for a first-timer.” He claps you on the back once and your stomach turns. “You’re a natural. Keep it up!”
There’s a rush of something in the back of your throat, and for a moment, you think you might be about to literally murder him. It’s only when you open your mouth that you realize what’s actually happening, and by then there’s no time to give a warning or do anything at all.
Helpless to stop it, you lean forward and puke your guts up all over his pristine sneakers.
A/N: just in case you want to suffer a little more, the song that gets me in yoongi's head at the end of this scene (and moving forward bc you KNOW he's about to ruin this poor girl's life sdklfjlsdkf) is fan behavior by isaac dunbar. so feel free to queue that one up and enjoy ;)

gifmaker / cc wrapped 2023!
thanks for tagging me my angel @jkvjimin 💜
i tried really hard not to choose all comp sets, but those take the most effort and therefore are what i'm prouder of than a standard set, but regardless...
here are my top 10 fave creations of the year:
bts chapter 1 insta feed // this was an insanely taxing project and is probably the most work i've ever put into anything, but i was really inspired to do it. it took about a week (one day for each panel) and was repetitive, i literally threw out my back by day 3 from sitting working on it that my body was in SO MUCH PAIN, but i wanted to get everything right and make it make sense which is why i wrote up a detail post breaking it down and explaining every decision that went into this. i still intend to make this a series and do one dedicated to their japanese discography (i actually started on one before i published this but didn't like the concept) and for their solo work, but it doesn't feel like the right time yet as things continue to release. but i look forward to it!
cheesy bts valentine cards // this was purposely corny, but the response was unbelievable! i had fun working on it and was so happy it made people laugh and smile. the tags were a joy to read on this post and it's my fourth most popular gifset ever. thank you!
bts guide to troubled birds // yet another corny idea, but i get a kick out of making silly comps and was inspired to make this. i started with jimin's as an experiment because his poem was the easiest to choose and built the rest of it from there, carefully deciding which poem to apply to each member and recreating them from scratch. i love celebrating their chaos in fun ways, so this was nice!
jungkook's sensitive tear ducts // sometimes i get really random comp ideas and spontaneously start making something with no plan. this was one of those times and it is now my third most popular gifset since making this blog in 2020 lol. ofc i'd never gif him upset about anything serious, so i only chose moments that didn't feel inappropriate to include to keep this set lighthearted and humorous.
long live bts (10th anniversary set) // i always knew i wanted to make something with the lyrics of that song because every word of it reminds me of their story. the 10th anniversary was perfect since it literally says "it was the end of a decade". i wanted the set to just be really simple so i went with a more desaturated look and focused more on choosing a scene from each year that fit the lyric per that gif.
love me again mv // this was my first time bothering to gif a music video in 4k. i usually avoid it bc it slows my computer down and takes a lot longer (i also have to reconvert the youtube download to a different file type to get it to play in my kmplayer, it's a whole process) but i waited a few days after it came out because i originially didn't think i could color it when it premiered so i just didn't gif it. but i gave it a try anyway when i didn't feel so pressured and i really like how crisp they came out.
jungkook's bday set // i didn't have a plan for this when i started, but i searched a lot for inspo and finally found something i felt like i could make something with so i came up with this very barbie-esque rendition for jungkook that i'm still very fond of. i purposely didn't write happy birthday on it anywhere so it could be shared year-round. it's probably my fave set i made all year and everyone seemed to like it too!
jimin's bday set // this was originally just going to include songs from FACE, but i decided it didn't celebrate jimin's work as a whole if i didn't include all his solo songs/endeavors so it turned into a big monster. i like how it came out though!
standing next to you mv // this year i was introduced to HD master files, so instead of rushing to download a new mv from youtube and giffing it fast, i'd wait for a higher quality rip from apple music to show up online. the difference is quite astounding. i made gifs with master files for all three of jk's music videos this year (seven, 3D), but i like how this one turned out the best.
vmin comp // just felt like giffing my two favorite people before they left and needed to channel my sad emotions into something before seeing them seperate for so long. i included moments i've giffed before and ones i've never had the chance to gif. i could have made this post so much longer but forced myself to stop lol. i like the pink and blue colors in it a lot <3 i miss them so much
thank for all your support on my work this year! i have lots of (old) new stuff in my drafts to share in the new year so please keep your love coming x
i'm going to tag @userjiminie @userjungkook97 @btsiu and @cordiallyfuturedwight to do this if they'd like to!

Tumblr media
Once all the tents are set up, dinner is eaten, and Hoseok’s speaker plays soft summertime music; everyone gathers around the fire.
Immediately, you wish Yoongi was here.
You haven’t really spent much time with Taehyung or Jimin since they’re more of Jin’s friends, but you’ve seen them around here and there. If Yoongi were here, for a split second, life would feel complete.
Even so, life goes on and it’s so fucking beautiful right now.
The cotton candy sunset and the scent of roasting marshmallows fills the air radiates so much nostalgia. The people around you, though none are your family, make you feel so at ease.
Especially the one sitting next to you.
Everyone is making childish smores and you’re sitting next to Jungkook, laughing about how disgusting his smores look. It’s overflowing in every aspect. The marshmallow is melting onto his fingers and he reaches them out for you to lick. You do so, not thinking twice about it. Jin catches this and feels a little weirded out by the sight.
Nam Joon, who is sitting beside Hoseok and Jin, notices. It makes him think a thought or two but ultimately brushes it off once Taehyung and Jimin announce that they forgot their blunts in the car and plan to smoke their weed there.
“Jungkook, wanna join us?” Jimin suggests, nodding towards the car.
He looks at you.
Both Jin and Jungkook do.
You take a bite from Jungkook’s smores. With your mouthful, you manage to utter, “I’m not your mom.”
Jungkook shrugs back at you, “but you don’t like it when I ditch you to smoke.”
It’s true.
“It’s just weed,” Taehyung groans. “What’s the big deal? I’m sure Jungkook has done worse.”
He has.
The thing is, weed is just weed. No one needs to convince you that it’s okay because it is! It’s none of your business what others do anyway.. But when it comes to Jungkook, you prefer him sober.
You feel safer—like you know him better. Is that selfish?
Maybe a part of you feels resentment towards this kind of shit because it’s what made you two drift from one another. He had a habit of choosing vices over you. More than often, you found yourself fighting the urge to beg him to pick you.
You hate yourself for it.
He’s a grown man! He can make choices for himself.. Besides, how will he ever find balance if you’re always making the decisions for him?
“It’s just weed,” Jungkook shrugs.
Pick me. Stay.
“Then it’s just weed,” you repeat. “Do what you want, bhie.”
“Will you be okay here?”
Hoseok scoffs, “you need to chill. Definitely smoke some weed. Get out of here!”
Jungkook gives you a meaningful look. You smile, reassuring him it’s okay even though you wish he’d stay. He doesn’t see it though. He doesn’t see through you.
He gives you his smores.
“I’ll be back in like 15 mins tops.”
“I don’t care,” you laugh, softly pushing him. “Go have fun. Whatever!”
He flicks your forehead before you’re out of reach. Leaning in, he squints his eyes at you, “miss you one.”
“Miss you two,” you mumble back, ignoring the lump in your throat.
With that, he happily leaves and catches up with Jimin and Taehyung. With a heavy heart, you watch him walk away and all you can think to yourself is; fuck.
Old habits die hard.
Tumblr media
When you finish your smores, your eyes widen at the realization that you’re left with such nosy people.. All alone.
Jungkook isn’t here to defend you or divert unwanted conversation. You have Jin… But Jin is literally the hot topic. Hoseok and Nam Joon’s constant glancing and confused facial expressions throughout the day only indicates one thing: they know.
Before you can spiral, Jin scoots over and Nam Joon is sure not to miss this. “You okay?”
“Mhmm,” you answer him, rather unconvincing.
“Nervous?” he whispers slowly. “Relax. Can’t do shit with these two here.” Without much thought, Jin wipes a string of marshmallow and chocolate off from the corner of your lips. Your eyes fall to his lips before they catch Hoseok’s glare.. A look? It’s definitely worth making your heart stop.
You can’t believe it.
Even in the midst of others, Jin is too shameless.. And right. You are nervous. How could you not be when—
“___, truth or dare?” Hoseok asks, causing you and Jin to break away. He’s pointing his marshmallow stick at you with a mischievous grin on his face.
“All of the sudden?”
“Mhmm! I’m spontaneous. Like, ugh, I know! So super duper sexy of me.. Anyways, truth or dare?” he waves the stick around you once more, even more annoyingly than the first.
You huff, moving the stick away from your face. “There’s nothing for you to know and nothing for me to do.” You got him there. “But I’ll play, sure! As long as I’m not your first target.”
“But it’s my game,” Hoseok whines. “You are literally no fun.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time someone’s said that to me today,” you sigh, recalling Jin’s comment from earlier. “I think you should get in line.”
Chuckling at your passiveness, Nam Joon points his marshmallow stick at Hoseok and waves it around. “Listen to her,” he insists. “I don’t trust you either.. I’ll do it. I’ll ask first.”
“Sure!” Hoseok smiles, relieved his game gets to be played regardless. “Ask ____—”
“Hobi,” Nam Joon grins, “truth or dare?”
Hoseok huffs before groaning, “dare.”
“You sure?”
“Bruh, just tell me my dare!” Hoseok exclaims, more than ready to play. He sounds childish; too excited for his own good. “Ohhh, it better be good—”
“Skinny dip tomorrow morning. We all watch.. Yay!” Nam Joon laughs, making you and Jin do the same. Hoseok’s mouth hangs open. He gulps, shaking his head.
Tomorrow morning will truly be a good morning.
“Hilarious,” he claps his hands slowly before sticking his middle finger out. “Fuck you! I know you just want to see my hope monster—“
“Your hope what?”
Hoseok rolls his eyes. “I’ll do it... Anyways… Let’s move on to.. Oh, I don’t know…” his eyes land on you. For a split moment, you feel yourself worried.
What the hell could he ask you?
Everything.
Yoongi, Jungkook, or Jin.
Fuck.
You’re so fucked—
“Jin!”
You feel relief.
“I’m not playing..” Jin sighs, leaning back. You get shivers down your back the moment you feel his fingers plucking at your bra straps. It’s lowkey, but definitely has potential of exposing you two.
“Truth or dare?” Hoseok sings, wiggling his eyebrows. After a moment of silence, Jin groans as he gives in. “Come on, Jin!”
“Dare,” Jin says easily. “If I choose truth, there’s nothing interesting for you to know about me so—”
“I dare you to join me skinny dipping tomorrow.”
“Sure,” Jin agrees, “but all dares go first.”
Hoseok glares at him, huffing as he slumps over. “Your turn,” Hoseok mumbles at Jin. Jin smirks, turning to you. You do your best to hide your nervousness. What the hell could he ask you? Now that you think of it, were you and Jin even close enough to fool around like this? For a guy who agreed to keep things on the low, he sure has been acting up today.
“___, truth or dare?” Jin asks you.
“... Truth—”
“Lame!” Hobi interrupts, waving his marshmallow stick at you again.
Nam Joon shakes his head, utterly disappointed. “God, let them play—”
“What are we playing?” Taehyung stumbles in between Hobi and Nam Joon. Jimin follows, and Jungkook, without hesitation, squeezes himself between you and Jin. He leans his body against yours, obviously feeling more relaxed. His weight against you makes you laugh.
“Lit already?” Nam Joon asks, observing them.
Jimin nods happily, “Jungkook can fucking smoke. 5 minutes in and this guy was halfway through.”
His statement doesn’t surprise anyone but it does make Jungkook feel a little uncomfortable. You can tell by the slight panic that grows in Jungkook’s eyes. You motion for him to sit next to you. Immediately, he does so.
Immediately, Jin hates the way Jungkook is cuddled up to you.
“You okay, Jungkook?” Jin asks.
“More than,” he replies, digging himself more into your embrace. “Anyways, go on..”
“Truth or dare. Jin asked ___ and she said truth before you stoners so rudely interrupted,” Hoseok explains to them. “I’m trying to get juicy shit and you guys just—”
“Peaches or oranges?” Jin peaks his head over Jungkook’s, eyes soft when they catch yours.
Your mouth drops.
“Peaches,” your lips curve into a shy smile.
Jimin gasps, eyes blood shot. “Jin! Don’t you like peaches?”
“Love them,” Jin replies.
Jungkook turns his head to ask Jin why the fuck he would ask such a stupid question and instead finds himself more confused than ever. Sure, he felt a little fuzzy from his blunt, but he swears he’s probably hallucinating when he notices Jin’s ears go rosy pink from your answer.
Tumblr media
“Hobi, seriously.. I’m so tired. Why do you have so many games you want us to play?” Nam Joon cries, rubbing his eyes. He’s sunk into his camper chair and well on the brisk of death. “It’s almost 2AM. I want to sleep and you and Jin have to skinny dip tomorrow. I need to be awake for that shit!”
“Sleep in tomorrow! Let’s play hide and seek! It’s fun since it’s dark!” Hoseok has always been the life of the party. It’s almost insulting that everyone thinks it’s okay to sleep so early. A little offended, it only motivates him to do more.
“3 rounds, I’ll be it for the first one. Everyone can hide.. Mhmm, no partners? It’s spookier this way.. I’ll give you guys 5 minutes before I start to seek. Boarders… No one inside tents. The dock is okay. Washrooms are no… No cars too… I think that should be it.. Bring your phones in case!”
Everyone nods, following what he has to say.
“Wanna hide with me?” Jungkook giggles, pulling you to him, tugging you towards the woods. You resists and takes the opportunity to wrap himself around you. Sniffing your scent in, he can’t help but sneak in a kiss or two on the top of your head.
God, when he’s high, he is a lot more affectionate. You chuckle, unwrapping yourself from him.
“No partners, remember? Plus, I want to win. You’re terrible at hide and seek.”
Jungkook gasps, “will you ever let that go? We lost to my brother and his friends once and you will—”
“We were 9, Jungkook! We were more than capable of winning but you—”
“Okay, can’t hear you!” Jungkook covers his ears with his hands. He starts to back away from you and yells, “I need to hide and win! I’m gonna beat you!”
“Okay, go do that,” you laugh as he stumbles away. Then, when you realize that everyone has already begun to look for their hiding spots, you groan.
He was stalling you! That piece of shit.
All alone, you eye Hoseok typing away on his phone. Thinking he can’t see you, you might as well make your run for it.. But where? If Jungkook went into the woods, where did—
“___, get fucking going or else I’m going to call Yoongi and tell him you’re terrible at hide and seek.” Hoseok threatens.
“I’m amazing at hide and seek!” you cry, playing along. “Don’t be a liar!”
Oh fuck it.
To the docks you go.
Tumblr media
“This is my hiding spot, get your own.”
His voice sends shivers down your spine.
“Jin?” you whisper.
Soon enough, you feel your arm being tugged. He then guides you to behind the a boat. You two lean against it, trying hard not to laugh.
“I feel like I’m 8 years old again, trying so hard not to pee my pants right now.” You can’t see it, but you know he’s smiling like a child. It makes your heart glow. You feel like he’s been going through so many moods today.. He must be tired now.
“Oh my god, do you have to pee?”
“No, but I want to come.”
“Jin!”
He laughs.
God, how you’ve missed hearing his laugh this close and personal. Your heart flutters at the thought of being the reason why he laughs so angelic right now.
“Finally have you alone,” he whispers, tucking your hair behind your ear. “What should we do?”
You gulp.
“Hobi is probably gonna find us any second now and—”
“I promised you the stars, ___.” Jin hums, tugging you towards him. You let him do so as your hands find their way to his hair.
It’s always been like this.
Moments of sexual tension finally being acted upon—it happens so fast.
His lips crash into yours, melting and syncing into the perfect kind of a sinking kiss. His lips have always been your favorite thing about him. So plump and full, so fucking perfect against yours. You gasp when you feel him slide his hand into your underwear. He runs his thumb against your fold and you squeal.
“Oh my god,” you giggle, “can’t you be a little more patient? I just wanna kiss.”
“No,” he groans. “Want you now.”
“Kiss me first,” you whine. “Kiss me only.”
He bites his lip, stunned and flattered at the desperation in your voice.
“Give me your panties,” he compromises.
“Deal.”
You pull away and strip. Taking your pants off, then your underwear, Jin can’t help but drool. You’re a sight—the prettiest he has ever seen. Once your underwear hits your ankles, you take them off and shove them to his chest. He takes them with a silly grin, watching your pull your leggings up again.
“Kiss,” you pout. “And no funny business.”
Jin shrugs, smiling down at you. “My hands are full anyway.” He crunches your panties in his hands, waving them to you. You laugh, pushing his hands away as you wrap yours around his neck. There, you place yourself in between his legs, platting kisses up his neck. He moans from your tender touch and can’t help but want to wrap his arms around you. Shoving your panties in his pants pocket, he places his hands on your waist.
“No funny business,” you smile into the kiss. “We made a deal.”
Fuck.
He loves it when you do that.
“Don’t you want to be fucked under the stars though?” Jin asks, fully curious.
You shrug. “Isn’t that too romantic?”
It is.
“It’s whatever,” Jin reassures you. “But if you want me to, I will.”
You blush, instantly bowing your head to his chest. You hide your smile. Shaking your head, you give yourself a moment to collect yourself. It would inflate his ego if he saw you this red.
“I do want you to,” you confess. “I want you to fuck me right now so bad. This is the prettiest night sky I’ve seen in so long.. It feels wasteful to not.. Do anything.”
“See,” Jin could see right through you. “Fuck kissing. You don’t need to act all innocent for me, bum.”
“I just don’t want to get caught!”
“Why not?” he asks, wanting to be amused. “We’re all adults here. Sex is sex.”
“Yeah? Is that what you’ll tell Jungkook when he sees you balls deep inside me?” you chuckle, fixing the strands of hair that stick to his forehead. He pushes your hands away, instantly upset at the mention of his name. Your smile drops, feeling a little uneasy already.
“Is he really all you care about?”
Your heart drops.
It’s not often that Jin makes comments about Jungkook.. But when he does, it usually does sound like this. Like petty competition and butthurt energy.. You wish it didn’t.
“No,” you tell him, “I care about other stuff too.”
“Like?”
You hum, gripping his collar and tugging him close.
“Wanna take a guess?” you laugh, pressing a kiss on his lips. He doesn’t kiss you back, but against him, you can feel a bulge that begs to differ. “Oh, I think you know.”
You lean in, kissing him again. When he kisses you back, you can’t help but smile into it like it’s the first time you two have ever kissed. Instantly, he can’t take it. He isn’t strong enough to control his need for you... And to think, all it took was smiling into the kiss to set him off.
“Shut up,” he hisses before he places his hands on your shoulders, shoving you down to your knees.
On your knees, you watch him pull his pants down. You know where this is going. Jin takes himself out and jerks himself off a few times. They’re sloppy, but he just wants this done here and now.
“Thought you were gonna fuck me under the stars?” you tease, taking his length into your hands. Stroking it, you place chant kisses on the tip.
“You wanted to kiss,” he groans. “You got that. Now it’s my turn. See? It’s a win-win.”
“You have my panties and now you’re getting your dick sucked. I only got a few kisses. This seems unfair,” you bat your eyelashes before you pretend to get up. Jin catches you in the act, cupping your face with his big hands.
“Give me this blow and I swear to god I will fucking get you the moon and stars myself.” Jin promises. He runs his thumbs across your bottom lip before pushing your lips open with it. You suck on it, letting him take it out with a small popping sound.
A string of saliva follows and all you do is smile cutely.
This is all Jin needs.
Before you know it, he guides your mouth to his length. Your mouth parts by his cock. You take him in like a true champion. He knows it too. Jin lets out a loud breathy moan as you begin to bob your head, sucking him like it’s all you’re good for. He doesn’t hold himself back as he grips the back of your head, taking a fist full of your hair, and takes over. Roughly, he moves your head to his liking. He pulls you off and lets you take a breath. After a moment, he shoves himself back into your pretty little mouth.
He thrusts himself into you. You choke a bit and it only pleases him more. You hands grip his waist, needing to do so for balance. You look up at him with teary eyes, thankful for such a time. He wipes away a fallen tear with his thumb before caressing your cheek that is full of him.
It goes on for a while. Your mouth gets tired and your knees feel like giving in after what feels like forever. Finally, his thrust stops mid way and his voice hitches when he says, “fuck, I’m close.”
Then, he spills himself into you. His cum overflows from your mouth, you gag. You swallow as much as you can, but a good amount of it drips onto your shirt.
You sigh as he helps you up, wiping your mouth.
“Here,” he takes off his hoodie and offers it to you. Thanking him, you take his hoodie and put it on. Jin puts on his pants and takes a deep breath. “Think we should head back? It’s been like 30 minutes and no one’s come to find us.”
“Sure,” you agree, brushing the sand off your knees. “I think we won.”
“I think we should’ve hid inside my car,” he comments. “Definitely would’ve fucked you there.”
“Idiot,” you face palm. “You act like we don’t fuck every week.”
“I’m keeping these, by the way.” Jin smirks, showing you your underwear before shoving it back into his pockets. “Thanks for the weekly peaches. These ones especially.. I’ll give you the moon and stars someday.”
“Just the moon is okay.”
“Just the moon it is.”
Tumblr media
“Where the fuck have you been?”
“Hey, no one freaking found us!” you squeal, running to Jungkook and linking arms with him. Jungkook looks over you, noticing Jin trailing behind. When he sees Jin shoving his hands into his sweat pants pockets, he realizes how cold Jin looks. Then, Jungkook’s focus falls on you. As you tug on his arm, yapping away about how you’ve won, he can’t help but wonder why the fuck you have Jin’s hoodie on.
“I thought the game was no partners? Why were you with Jin?” Jungkook asks, eyebrows furrowed in concern. “Why are you wearing his hoodie? That’s not my hoodie.”
“She was cold,” Jin chimes in. “You would have killed me if I let her freeze to death.”
He has a point.
“Wait,” you connect, “where’s Nam Joon? Taehyung—”
“Asleep. We finished the game like 20 minutes ago,” Hoseok explains. “We’re gonna continue it tomorrow night since they’re all too high or too sleepy to play. I found Nam Joon asleep by the washrooms and Jimin and Taehyung attempting to do cartwheels near the fire.”
Jin rolls his eyes, unsure if he should be amused or concerned for his two friends. Jungkook, who can’t seem to connect the dots, is still frustrated at how you didn’t want to hide with him but hid with Jin. You feel blissful. Even though you didn’t come tonight, you felt some sort of clarity between you and Jin.
“If the game finished ages ago, how come no one bothered to—”
“What do you mean?” Jimin giggles, poking his head into the conversation. “Hoseok found you guys first.”
“What—”
“Yeah!” Jimin says sluggishly, “and you know what? It’s a good thing he found you two first! Serves you two right for not playing fair.. Teaming up when we said no partners? Rude.”
Your eyes immediately go to Jin. God, everything inside you feels like you could lose it right now. Kind of like you’re walking on thin ice. Your eyebrows furrow at the sight of Jin when you realize he doesn't look worried at anxious at all. Instead, he looks content.
He looks relieved.
Your heart races. You send him a question look and he sends you one back. Jungkook doesn’t miss this exchange and neither does Hoseok.
“Liars,” Hoseok sighs, approaching Jin. He puts his arm around Jin’s shoulders, leans forwards and glares at you. “I fucking hate them.”

Note
no. 1 (I'm curious), 10, & 33!
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting? Lmao, I had to check, but it's Palatino, font size 13. I can't remember how or why I first started using this font. I also can't remember if it was a default setting but I used it first when I began using Scrivener to write and I have been using it no matter what app I use since. I just think it feels comfortable in the eyes. Not too much weird cursive to distract me but doesn't seem too basic or boring either.
Tumblr media
10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you? Oh, boy :))) If it’s about a piece of writing that I read in the past, then I’m not sure if I do have something that is still haunting me. I tend to block out my memory when it comes to reading something that’s disturbing or...weird. But if we want to talk about being “haunted” in a good way, then I probably should mention Transference by @dark-muse-iris. That story has definitely changed my life. I was never the same person again after :’) As for my own writing. I can name a few :)))) Let me just say that everything that I wrote before year 2018-2019 haunts me to this day and not in a good way. That’s why I separated them from my main masterlist and put them all in archive. I personally think this only means that I do find growth as a writer, so I guess it’s a good thing, after all.
33. Do you practice any other art besides writing? Does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate?  I recently talked about what I do for a living in a post that I shared. In short, I work with paintings and drawings (mostly technical drawings as I work in interiors), and I’m also surrounded with people working in music business (my brother, my boyfriend, etc). If you’ve read some of my fics, you might find that they do tie into my writing. I have characters who work in art businesses, music, or as an interior designer. I also use sketches to help me draw out the settings that I write into my story or where the scenes take place.  You may remember about the World Map that I created for my Shifters series. Aside from that picture, I also made sketches of the cavern where Jimin and his SO first met, some interior layouts of the buildings mentioned in the stories (eg. Celeste’s tavern, Aurora’s mountain cabin, etc), even rough maps of the town when I needed it. For Carousel, I even used the design program that I normally use at work to draw the layout of Yoongi’s penthouse, Taehyung’s office floor, and OC’s winery to help me describe the settings (I think I mentioned about releasing these pictures in the past, but ended up not to lol). For other fics, I tend to use rough sketches whenever I need to figure out the layout of a room. Exhibit A, one of the sketches I made of La Rouge mansion for In Motion (please ignore the ugly handwriting lol):

Tumblr media
His silvery black hair complemented his skillful movements on the pole at the center of the stage, and consequently he was the cynosure of all eyes that were on his graceful, fluid body. For a while, everybody seemed to have forgotten they were at a strip club, admiring his dancing as if he were doing the Ballet at the Academy of Contemporary Dance.
His performance was slowly drawing to an end, and he gave it a grand finish by running up to a man seated at the front row (who was presumably very rich AND easily three times the stripper’s age) and grinding his hips onto the man’s lap in a series of eloquent movements for near to about thirty-five seconds. The audience gave him a thunderous applause, which as it was easy to tell, had never ever happened for a stripper, at least in this particular club.
You shifted on your seat slightly. Knowing you were soaking wet after the performance you had just witnessed, you fought the urge to touch yourself and make it to your grand finish. The strip show was to continue, and you could not bring yourself to miss even a second of it, because they were charging three hundred dollars for each hour spent there.
Another stripper came up on stage to take his place, but the audience was still whispering about the silvery black-haired guy that had set the stage on fire.
“What is his name?”
“Jimin, I think. Heard he is just twenty-two…”
“I heard he’s learnt contemporary dancing…”
“Fuck, his plump lips made me imagine my cock inside his mouth in fourteen different ways…”
You bit your lip. The silvery black-haired guy had distracted you so much that you couldn’t believe the magic he had spelled on all of you. You excused yourself to go to the restroom, when in reality all you wanted to do was to get off to the thought of that silvery black-haired guy…what was his name? Ah yes, Jimin.
You began strutting on your black heels down the low-lighted, red-carpeted corridor to the restroom, but you couldn’t find where it was. You looked around for someone to give you directions and spotted the silhouette of a lone guy standing in the dark towards the end of the corridor. You quickened your pace and reached him, just on time, before he entered the room on his right. You tapped on his shoulders.
“Excuse me, could you please…wow.” Your words got stuck in your throat as he turned around, letting you admire the form of the silvery black-haired guy from before, now standing this close to you. He turned around and flashed you a toothy smile before saying, “Excused.”
“Yeah, umm…we-ell…you’re J-Jimin, right?” You stuttered like an imbecile and hated yourself for doing that.
“Y-yes, I’m Jimin.” He did an impression of you before giving you an apologetic smile. “Sorry, I was just kidding.”
You smiled shyly. “I just wanted to ask you where the restroom is…” You came to the point directly, but didn’t feel like leaving his charismatic presence.
“You can use the one in this room, if you like.” He gestured in the direction of the door both of you were standing at. “This is my room, just for your information.”
“Thank you,” you mumbled, not being able to believe your good luck, as he opened the door for you. You went straight in the direction of the toilet and heard the room door get bolted shut from the inside. You turned around in his direction, just to see him removing the sparkly, fake diamond-studded black vest that he had worn for his dance. You gulped at the delicious sight of his topless self, those well-defined abs and lean muscles of his biceps accentuating his sexy form to a Godlike appearance.
‘What am I doing?’ You thought, breaking into smile that disappeared as soon as you entered the toilet. It didn’t have a bolt, how would you lock it shut?!
‘Here goes nothing.’ You hadn’t come there to use the toilet, after all. And why imagine his self to get off to when you had him in all of his glory, right there?
You exited the toilet after touching up your makeup. Jimin was sitting at the edge of his four-poster bed, looking straight ahead at the white walls, still topless with nothing but his makeup, jewelry and tight black pants on. In short, he looked like a dream.
The room had been illuminated by the dim red-colored light of a lampshade by the side of the bed. The dim lighting caught your attention for a bit.
“Hey…” You stage-whispered. He turned around and sat cross-legged on the mattress, facing you.
“Hi.” He bit his plump lower lip.
“I loved your performance.” You had nothing else to say, you stood captivated by his beauty.
“Thanks.” He nodded with a slight smile, eyeing your form with a keen, interested gaze.
“You are-” Both of you started speaking together. Jimin smiled a bit and said, “You speak first.”
“Yeah, you are so hot.” You spoke shamelessly, knowing that you were both alone, after all, in a locked room.
“It’s funny, I was going to say the same thing.” He tilted his head to the side, licking his lips, checking you out as shamelessly as you were doing it.
“I wanna-” You both started together, yet again. This time Jimin chuckled. “You speak first.”
“I wanna have sex with you.”
“Yeah, same.” Jimin gestured with his index finger for you to come closer to him, and sat at the edge of the bed. He bit his lip as he spread his legs a little, pulling you in by your waist. He let his fingers linger at your thighs, at the hem of your little black dress.
“You’re gonna charge me for this, right?”
Jimin laughed. “No, if you let me fuck you without using a condom AND if you let me cum inside you.”
“Why?”
Your cute, open-mouthed expression made him laugh again, and he whispered. “I wanna feel you.” His hot breath hit the exposed skin of your chest (because of your low-cut dress) and you felt the warmth in your core explode.
“Are you not on the pill?” He asked next, face suddenly all serious.
“Oh, don’t worry. I am.” You mouthed the answer, stroking his hair as you locked your gaze at his enticing lips. You lowered your face and smashed your lips against his.
A few moments had passed before he pulled away and slid his hands under your dress, fingers teasingly caressing the soft skin of your ass cheeks. He tugged at your black lace panties (that matched with your dress) and pulled them down. He then picked the pair up and walked to a closet. He threw them inside and locked it shut.
“Why did you do that?” You were amused.
“I like to keep souvenirs of all the chicks I’ve done.” He shrugged and pushed you to lay you down on your back, on the bed. Your legs dangled from the edge of the bed, and Jimin pushed them apart gently to stand in between them, his hands palming his cock from the outside of his tight black pants.
You couldn’t believe your eyes when he slipped out of his pants, eyes widening into saucers because of two reasons-
One: He wasn’t wearing underwear.
Two: His cock was easily the biggest you had ever seen.
“Don’t tell me you go around with a monster cock like that!” You exclaimed in astonishment.
“Yeah, I do.” He chuckled softly, rubbing his member furiously for a short while, moaning low moans while trying to decide what to do with you. He helped you out of your dress and your bra, and now you lay there, stark naked, in front of his alluring form and waiting for him to start fucking you.
“Once I’m done with you, you’ll beg for my cock every night.” He spoke in a cocky tone, before spitting on two of his fingers and inserting them inside your tight wet fuckhole, the continuous sliding-in-and-out movement making an embarrassing sloppy sound.
“You do seem ready for me, babe.” He moaned, stroking his cock a few times before he lifted your legs up and hoisted them on his shoulders, and slid his member with almost no effort into your slick pussy. You moaned out a response incoherently, and that brought a mischievous smile on his face.
The fucking picked up pace, and soon he was gliding in and out of you at a speed almost unachievable by mortal standards. Loud, indecent noises of skin-slapping and incessant moaning filled the room. While he was still rolling his trained dancer hips, he threw a question at you, in between pleasured, musical groans.
“Y-you haven’t told me your n-name yet…”
Your eyes flitted shut in ecstasy as you felt his hands cup and fondle your breasts. “My n-name is Y-Y/N.”
“Ohhh…Y/N…” He pulled at your nipples lightly with his teeth, moaning. At that moment, your name sounded the most magical word that ever existed, to your ears. “T-that’s a nice name.” His thrusts had started getting sloppier and you knew he was nearing his climax.
You moaned a “thank you” as best as you could, while you began rubbing at your clit to help reach your own high.
“Ah…that’s it…my baby…your pussy…i-it feels so good, s-so tight!” He was groaning uncontrollably.
Not much later he came, without warning, inside you. It felt so good to get filled up again.
Your circular rubbing motions on your clit and his seed filling you up to the brim worked in perfect synchronization to help you come, screaming his name at the top of your lungs as you squirted all over his dick, wetting the violet-colored bedcovers as well, having the most fantastic orgasm you had ever had.
You lay flat on the huge bed, breathing rapidly while he plopped himself down onto the ground, grunting occasionally as he struggled to catch his breath.
“That was wonderful, Y/N.” He flashed you a sexy side smile, his sweaty face increasing his hotness quotient by a million times. “I loved it.”
“Yeah, me too.” You almost melted.
“Let’s exchange phone numbers.” He proposed, “Y’know, just so we can stay in touch. I would love to go out with you.”
You couldn’t believe your ears. “Are you serious? But won’t the club disallow you from engaging with your clients at a personal level?”
“They’d never know.” Jimin stood up and hovered over your body. He caressed the skin of your tummy as he began kissing your neck. “I’m wayyy smarter than these sixty-year old nuts here.”
“You’re so humble.” You said sarcastically, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him close. He winked at you.
“But before that, another round?”

The flavored soju tastes nice on your tongue and you’ve no problem swallowing it all down, serving as a great distraction at the same time.
It’s been a few minutes since Jimin announced to you that his friend Jungkook is going to join you. You’re not going to lie, you’re not sure if you’re good with new people and especially when it is a stranger. Well, he’s supposedly a good friend of Jimin and Taehyung.
You only met Taehyung today as well and you’ve a feeling as if you already were besties, but that’s thanks to Taehyung’s extroverted personality who has made you feel very welcomed and comfortable once Jimin introduced you to him.
Maybe you’re this nervous because you don’t actually have any friends in Seoul yet, it’s exactly why you’re feeling like this actually. You’ve known Jimin the longest, him working at the company you’re doing your internship at made it easier for you to meet new people. New people as of Taehyung who’s sitting next to Jimin, across the table and you. And now you’re waiting for Jungkook, one of their friends.
Taehyung’s mouth hasn’t shut up ever since he joined you and Jimin, and even though he scolds him for scaring you, you assure them you’re totally okay and you vibe with Taehyung right away. Not going to lie, the soju that he keeps ordering helps a lot too but even without it, you get the feeling Taehyung is a nice person and will be a good friend.
It’s not you who automatically assumes he’s going to be your friend, but he already made sure to tell you that you should hang out with them more often and join them whenever they’ve got some plans. Maybe it’s an act of politeness and friendliness, so you don’t want to take him too seriously. However, he has already invited you to hang out with them over the weekend and Jimin agreed right away.
“Honestly, you have nothing to worry about,” Taehyung says as he takes a bite of his probably cold sausage by now but he doesn’t look as if he minds it that much. “Jungkook is such a cool guy, you should’ve met him when I met him. He was kinda shy and timid, and now… well you’ll see!”
Great, is he one of those guys that were shy when they were younger and now he’s going to be this overconfident guy? You’ve heard about this Jungkook a lot, it doesn’t help you’re about to meet him any second.
“That’s true,” Jimin nods knowingly, “Jungkookie was the quietest one out of all of us, now he’s probably the loudest. Well, right behind this one because nothing and no one can beat this idiot.”
Snorting, you’re seconds from laughing as Taehyung starts to complain with a full mouth which Jimin scolds him for with a disgusted look, using you as an excuse. But you don’t mind, waving them off as you continue to laugh at Taehyung’s frowned face.
On the other hand, Jungkook had no clue there’s someone else joining them, a girl at that. He spots you after he spots his friends, brows slowly pinched together in confusion at the stranger. Who are you?
When Taehyung texted him to come to have a glass of soju, he never mentioned anything about someone else joining and he only hopes this is not some kind of twisted way of trying to set him up with someone. Jungkook isn’t all about hooking up with strangers and that kind of lifestyle his friends love to have and live. They only talked about it a few days ago at Jimin’s place where Jungkook not so quietly scolded them for always trying to find him some hot girl. They act as if Jungkook needs any help with that. The difference is that he had chosen not to live the same lifestyle.
So yes, when he sees you laughing at something that his friends undoubtedly said, he is a little bit skeptical at the newest addition to their hangout. Whether it’s just a one-time thing or not, he’ll soon find out. Maybe you’re one of their ‘friends’ but he finds that weird, because they usually don’t hang out with their hook-ups.
Making his way over there, his friends’ backs turned to him and you don’t know him, so you’ve no clue who he is. The moment of surprise that Jungkook wanted to take to his advantage and prepare himself for having to find out who are you and what you’re doing there, is ruined when Taehyung suddenly turns around as if he was checking if Jungkook finally made it and sees that yes, his friend is finally indeed here.
“Jungkook-ah!”
Jungkook sighs, waving at them as he rushes past a few tables and notices there’s only one seat available next to you. As he’s sitting down, greeting his friends he takes that opportunity to look at you closer. You look young, you’re probably younger than any of them.
You’re sitting there in a white knitted sweatshirt in this chilly evening, eyes slightly sparkling at the alcohol you’ve consumed but you’re nowhere near tipsy or drunk. You watch him with big eyes, growing almost nervous when he sits right next to you and the nice mixed scent of him brushes through your nose.
You’re pretty, he gives you that.
On the opposite side, you’re freaking out because you’re not sure if you’re too good with new people and especially if they’re a guy, looking good. He’s wearing black jeans with a cotton shirt underneath his denim jacket, a black mask tucked under his chin which he pulls off and puts it into his black leather bag.
“Jungkook-ah, this is Y/N, I mentioned her to you.” Jimin says, reaching for some crackers he bought in the convenience store and plops them unbothered into his mouth. That sounds like news to you, he mentioned you to him? Of course, he did. He’s his friend, stop overthinking it.
Jungkook remembers. It’s not like Jimin talked about you many times, he mentioned you once or twice. Something about this girl doing an internship at the company he works at. According to Jimin, you’re friendly and nice and he feels awfully bad that you apparently have no real friends here. Well, a part of some girls from the college but you told him you’re not sure if it’s a friendship to keep after college.
Jimin, actually all of them, know that feeling but they’re lucky because they always had each other. Jimin is Jungkook’s childhood friend, both of them coming from Busan to Seoul to study and pursue their adult life here. Jimin met Taehyung during his college days, the two of them becoming friends instantly after one of the classes they had together and then later on, decided to go to a party together which resulted in them having the same kind of lifestyle which means… living their version of best college life by getting drunk and fucking around.
After Jimin’s introduction of you, Jungkook moves his eyes your way and is met with a soft yet nervous smile you give him. Your obvious uncertainty makes you look innocent, almost child-like and for a moment Jungkook feels bad for you because he can relate to that feeling of feeling left out and nervous, discomfort even.
And his features soften, even if they weren’t hardened at any point and he returns the gentle smile back.
“Hey, Jungkook,” he introduces himself, despite his friends calling him by his name more than once and you probably know his name by now. Still, it’s the politeness and the official introduction coming from him. “Y/N, right?” He asks unsurely, even though he knows your name because he’s not a total idiot. It’s not like Jimin said your name just a minute ago, is it?
“Yeah, it’s lovely to meet you. Jimin and Taehyung talked about you a lot,” you tell him, your voice smooth which kind of surprises Jungkook. Not because he actually tried to guess what kind of voice you have, but because he hears you speak for the first time and he thinks you’ve a nice voice.
“I’m sure they were,” Jungkook mutters, glaring at his two friends that quickly put their hands up as if they were innocent which makes you giggle, causing Jungkook to look at you with a grin playing on his lips. “What did they say?”
“They actually talked about you very nicely,” you chuckle, noticing Taehyung’s mouth opens as he dramatically gapes at Jungkook, as if they ever talked badly about him. He’s so dramatic but you love it, he’s funny and definitely makes the whole atmosphere more fun and comfortable.
You’re not sure about Jungkook yet, but from the looks of it he doesn’t seem like a bad guy.
“That’s hard to believe,” Jungkook grins at his friends, the older ones scowling at him before similar grins crack on their lips.
“They didn’t talk that much, only that you used to be quiet.” you shrug, chugging your shot to ease the slight nervousness you’re still feeling but now that Jungkook is talking, you feel a little bit better.
“Which you were,” Jimin ponders, lifting his glass at Jungkook before he repeats your precious action and chugs down the shot.
“I’m not saying I wasn’t,” Jungkook shrugs. The truth is, Jungkook is still that kind of guy he once was when he came to Seoul. He’s obviously a little bit better with people and his social life, but he still keeps to himself most of the time.
While Jimin and Taehyung would party not only weekends but during the week too, Jungkook would rather stay home while playing games, drawing or editing photos he took. Someone would call him lame, others would call him mature. Not that he cares what others think about him. Just because he’s not feeling to get drunk every weekend and fuck women who would willingly throws themselves at him, doesn’t mean he’s an introvert or weird.
Of course he experienced parties, of course Jimin and Taehyung dragged his ass to one of the parties so they could get drunk.
And it’s not like he’s repulsed at the idea of having that kind of fun from time to time. However, it’s not something he does often.
“Are you?” You interrupt his thoughts, the distant conversation between Jimin and Taehyung is noticed by the two of you but you’ve your own conversation for a moment as you ask Jungkook.
His brows scrunch in confusion for a second and before he can ask you, you’re already opening your mouth.
“Quiet, I mean… are you still quiet?”
He blinks for a moment, eyes dancing on your face as he sees the teasing glint in them which does surprise him because he thought of you as being shy.
And then he leans towards you, the glint in your eyes dropping as you stare at him with eyes full of surprise. He cracks a grin, making sure you look him right in the eyes as he says; “I guess you’ll have to stick around to find out.”
He pulls away, enjoying your lack of verbal response before you shake yourself out of it and snort at him. “Yeah, I guess I’ll have to.” you hum, turning towards Jimin and Taehyung while an amused smile plays on your lips.
During the rest of the evening, Jungkook isn’t as talkative as you’d guess him to be since your last conversation. He mostly stays quiet, throws a few words here and there and laughs at whatever Taehyung manages to get out of his mouth. But once again when Taehyung is on the verge of getting drunk, laughing like a maniac along with Jimin, he actually makes an effort to talk to you once again.
So he has asked about you – why you’ve decided to come to Seoul and with your answer being very much similar to Jungkook’s reason for being in Seoul, you’ve bonded even more. You’ve learned that he’s a photographer and even has shown you some of his pictures which you complimented straight away. Not because you wanted to be nice and friendly, but because this guy is a pure talent which you bluntly told him after your last glass of soju.
Jungkook has joined you and drank a few drinks, but other than that he has been the most composed one.
And when they all walk you to your home, dragging Taehyung behind you as he’s drunk with Jimin scolding him countless times tonight, you laugh your ass off along with Jungkook. They all say goodbye to you, already inviting you to Jimin’s place over the weekends.
“Are you sure you want to hang out with that?” Jungkook asks, pointing at Taehyung who’s currently sitting on a curb while Jimin scolds him for drinking too much, but attentively rubs his back which wants to make you snort but you push the need to do that.
“If I knew you better, I’d say you don’t want me there.” you laugh at Jungkook’s petrified expression as he shakes his black short hair which makes you laugh even more.
“No, that’s not it!” he exclaims, pausing for a second when he notices your smirk, his shoulders relaxing as he sighs. You got him.
You giggle, shaking your head at him. “Besides, I still need to stick around to see what kind of guy you are.”
You’re teasing him, he realizes. During the evening you’ve both talked to each other and actually clicked right away. Jungkook seems like a really cool guy and it’s hard to find those these days. But you shouldn’t be surprised, just as Jimin and Taehyung are down to earth, so is Jungkook. It wouldn’t make sense if their friend would be an asshole.
So he goes along with your teasing, the corner of his mouth twitching in an amused smirk as he nods while he purses his pouty lips.
“Yeah, you should,” he hums, “Besides, I can’t be alone on those two idiots.”
“Hey, I heard that!”
“Jeon Jungkook!”
And you both burst into laughter once again.
Yeah, Jungkook already seems like a good friend.

"I heard you were in an accident last night, babe. Are you okay? I'm so sorry I got mad at you yesterday." Seokjin comes towards you, cupping your face to look at every inch, every detail. You move away from his hold, backing up to give yourself some space.
"Seokjin, I told you to stop calling me that. Jesus. I'm fine. Don't need you to check up on me."
"Are you really gonna keep that up? I said I was sorry."
"Okay, and? I heard you."
"Really, that's it? Y/N, why are you being like this? What's the real reason?" He follows after you as you make your way to the library. To say Seokjin was persistent is an understatement— he was persistent for the wrong reasons. Like, keeping you close so he had you to fall on when things went wrong with another chick, his safety net.
"Because this is done, I don't know how many times I have to tell you. I'm tired of you doing this so, please. Just go." You slightly turn towards him as you climb up the stairs.
"I wanna work this out with you. Don't push me away. Let me help." You don't respond. He watches as you adjust your bag strap and wave at Jungkook. Seokjin chuckles and grabs your wrist gently, making Jungkook suddenly hop on defense as he balls his fists. Like he could do shit. Seokjin would probably wreck his ass with those broad shoulders.
Still. He hated how much of an asshole he was to you.
"Wait, what the fuck?" Seokjin laughs his rare, deep laugh that he uses when he's caught off guard. "You're hanging out with nerds, now?"
"And if I was, that would be none of your business." You snatch your arm away while glaring at him. You shake your head and continue walking towards Jungkook, relieved Seokjin finally left you alone today. Probably off to tell Namjoon, Yoongi and his friends how much of a bitch you've been and that you actually left him to hang out with a nerd.
Sunmi knows you're being tutored. However if that wasn't the case, she would question you, but she never take their side on shit. She remained loyal to you, and always supported you through whatever. That's why she's remained your bestfriend until this day. The senior chicks Seokjin and them hung around with though? Questionable. As long as Sunmi was by your side and you by hers, you both didn't care much for getting close to them.
"Hey, sorry you had to see that." You say as you sigh and set your bag down alongside of you on the long table.
"It's alright." Jungkook replies softly. "Are you okay?"
"Yes. Thanks." You give him a tiny, tightlipped smile. "So, should we get right into tutoring, or should we talk about the details of our deal? I have all afternoon." Luckily, it was quite loud in the loud section of the library. No one cared much to listen in to your secret deal with Jungkook, nor did anyone care because it was Jungkook.
"I do too. I guess, whatever works for you?"
"Let's get this tutoring over with first then iron out the rest." He nods.
"Sure." He pulls out his notebook. "Tell me, what are you struggling with?"
"Everything." He does a small head tilt.
"I doubt that. I'm sure you understand some things."
"No, you don't understand Jungkook. I'm legit drowning. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or where I'm lacking." Jungkook simply looks at you, lips pressed together before he nods. You're not lacking anywhere, he thinks. You're really not. The subject is just shitty and the spawn of the devil.
"That's okay. Well, can I go over some basics? Throw in some tips?"
"Yes, please. Lead the way. I need you." You chuckled, but it makes the heat rush to his cheeks. He hopes you don't catch the rosy tint creeping up on them, so he instantly grabs at the whiteboard near your table and starts to go over the very beginning, the very basics of this semester's OChem class. Maybe a bit from last semester, but last semester wasn't entirely that bad compared to this one.
He didn't expect you to be all that engaged for some reason, but he should have known you'd ask questions left and right, taking the black whiteboard marker from his hand to practice what you've learned with him watching and guiding you from your side. You were always focused, always so determined. You were incredibly smart. Incredibly beautiful.
Honestly, Jungkook go on for days.
The both of you hadn't realized it was nearing close to 5PM and neither of you had really eaten much since lunch. You sit, feeling pretty good about your first session with Jungkook. You feel a little bad having kept him for so long over OChem, realizing you still had things to iron out with him.
[sunmi] 4:34pm: hey babe, not gonna be leaving for a bit. i forgot i had to work on this psych project with jennie. you okay with leaving around 6/7?
"Crap."
"What's the matter?" Jungkook glances at you as you continue to stare at your phone and scroll away.
"Sunmi isn't leaving until later. I'll probably be stuck here for a little longer after you leave." You put your phone down, now resting your chin against your palm, nails slightly digging into your cheek.
"I-I can give you a ride, if you'd like? Plus, we still need to talk.. about stuff." He shyly says.
"Jungkook, that's too much to ask for."
"It's really not a big deal. How far do you live from campus?"
"Maybe a 10 minute drive, the next exit off the freeway." He shrugs.
"I'm going in that direction too."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive. We can just talk on the way home."
"Would you be willing to stop by for dinner? We can talk then. Maybe it can be considered our 'first date.'" You joke with a small giggle.
"Oh, sure. Yeah." He gives off a tiny, nervous laugh. "Where did you have in mind?"
"Can we get.. hm—" You hum. "Fire Wings? Down the street?" He almost feels intoxicated watching how your eyes gleam under the light, how they brighten and widen when you mention food. You were cute, and you didn't even know it.
"Only if you tell me what flavors you get." He tries to get smart, which makes you laugh. He made you laugh.
"Is this judgment day? Gonna see if you should call quits on our deal before it even starts?"
"Maybe." He goes along with it.
"Okay. Garlic Parmesan and Dragon." You pack up your things before shooting him a look.
"Okay, solid flavors." He nods. "I guess we can continue on."
"You're funny." You giggle as you both throw your bags onto your backs. You stay in your position until Jungkook comes to your side so you can walk by him. You don't know much about him, but he has a soft demeanor and he makes you feel comfortable. You had only seen him a couple of times across campus, not really noticing him much in class either. You feel a little bad knowing you didn't even try being that he sat behind you, but better late than never I guess? Maybe there was a reason for all of this happening. The way he tutored you today was insane, too— he was super smart, but broke it down perfectly, was patient. He was patient.
No wonder Dr. K loved his ass.
"What about you?" You picked up the conversation.
"I usually go for a dry rub and Garlic Parmesan."
"I haven't tried any dry rubs."
"You can try one of mine later."
"Okay." You suddenly remember to shoot Sunmi a text before she comes looking for you everywhere on campus. Jungkook stays silent beside you, allowing you to do your thing without being too overbearing or nosy.
But, he honestly can't help but glance a few times.
[y/n] 5:11pm: sorry just saw this, hitching a ride with my tutor. don't worry about me! ty ily, have fun working on your project.
[sunmi] 5:13pm: tutor, as in jeon jungkook?
[y/n] 5:15pm: yeah, he offered.
[sunmi] 5:16pm: okay, that was nice of him. if he tries anything tho i'll beat his ass. text me when u get home?
[y/n] 5:17pm: don't worry about him, he won't lol i will.
[sunmi] 5:18pm: kk love u b
"Sorry." You say, tucking your phone into your pocket. "Had to text Sunmi."
"That's okay. You two are really close, right?"
"Yeah, since high school."
"Cool." At this point, Jimin, Taehyung and Hoseok are coming out of the café at the same you two are passing.
"What about you, where are your friends?"
"Um." He sighs, trying to avoid his friends obnoxiously waving and calling him from the distance. You glance over from behind his figure, chuckling a little bit. "That's them."
"Cute. You all are really close, too?"
"Ya, I've known Jimin the longest though." You smile and wave at them, causing them to gasp and whisper amongst each other with huge smiles on their faces.
"I'll need to meet them if we're gonna do this thing for real. Do they know?"
"Yeah kinda."
"That's okay. We should probably work on keeping it between us though." He nods.
"Okay, but. Can we save meeting them for later? They're a bit.. much." You smile.
"Sure."
"D-do I have to meet Sunmi?" You nod.
"If you wanna make this believable, yeah."
"She's kinda scary."
"Jungkook, she's not gonna bite your head off. She just has that look, but I promise she's sweet." That look, that resting bitch face. Really, you could be biased because it's Sunmi. She really only had issues if she felt disrespected. Other than that, she meant well. Same with you— you've been accused of being intimidating and having the same look but you don't mean any harm by it.
"Okay." Jungkook unlocks his black 2016 Honda Civic and pops his bag in the trunk. You do the same, while Jungkook goes to open the passenger door for you.
"Thanks." You smile sweetly at him. He climbs into his seat, hitting the button to start the car and sighs. The music in the background starts to play, and it sounds mellow, soothing— like it came straight out of a fairytale. His eyes widen as he rushes to lower the volume before shyly looking at you.
"Sorry."
"What, no. Don't be. What is this?"
"A Final Fantasy lofi mix." He begins to drive off as you turn the volume back up.
"It's nice. Pretty relaxing."
"Ya, it's nice to listen to after a long day." He pushes his glasses up at the light.
"Do you have family here?" He nods.
"I do. My mom and dad live about an hour away. I'm the only child. What about you?"
"Same. They're probably 30 minutes up north."
"Do you live alone?"
"Yeah, I live in a studio. It's actually my coworker's. She bought the space to rent it out. She lets me rent it for pretty cheap though."
"That's nice."
"You?"
"I live with Jimin. Our parents are close."
"What about your other friends?"
"Hoseok is dorming, and Taehyung would rather live back home with his family and commute. He's close to them. He'll crash at ours or Hoseok's from time to time."
"Are you close to your family?" He nods as he turns into the plaza lot.
"I suppose, yes. I'm just really quiet overall, so they think it's hard to read me sometimes." He parks and you watch as he shuts the car off with the same button. "You?"
"Yeah, I'm really close to my mom. Dad, a little questionable."
"Why, if I may ask?" He comes to open your door again, causing you to give him a small smile.
"He, um. Just got into some stuff." He watches as your body tenses while you fiddle with your fingers waiting in line.
"It's okay, don't think about it. I won't ask again."
"It's okay, Jungkook. Really. Maybe another time?" You look up at him and he nods. He stands way taller than you, almost at Seokjin's height, if not the same. He likes to wear baggy, dark clothing and doesn't do much to fix or style his hair.
He's simple, but in a good way.
You both order your food with Jungkook going first so he can grab a table afterwards. Before he could pay though, you offer to cover him for dinner as your way of thanking him for driving you home. You make your way over to the table he snags, Jungkook silently sitting at the high table with his legs pressed together and his hands clasped tightly on his lap.
"You okay?"
"Ya, why?"
"You look tense."
"Sorry. It's not everyday I have dinner with Y/N." You smile.
"Stop, relax." You watch as he slightly eases up. "So, this deal." He nods. "A month?"
"Yeah, I suppose."
"We have to convince people it's real or else people will know something weird is going on." You look at his hand, now resting on the table. "You're gonna have to hold my hand and kiss me, you know?" He swallows the lump in his throat. Shit, he thinks. Don't know if I can actually pull this off?
A kiss?! Fuck.
"Y-yeah."
"When was your last relationship, Jungkook?"
"8th grade." Your eyes widen.
"O-oh, now I see."
"What's that supposed to mean? It's terrible, I know but I—"
"No, no, no. You're good. It's totally okay, it doesn't matter. I'll just have to teach you to make it look realistic and not.. awkward." You perk up again. "Not saying that you are though, okay."
"I know."
"So, are you.."
"Am I..?" He cocks hid head to the side in confusion.
"Like.."
"Just ask Y/N."
"Are you a virgin?"
"I don't know." You furrow your brows.
"Huh?"
"Look, this is gonna sound really embarrassing and I don't know if I'm even ready to tell my fake girlfriend about it."
"Just say it. We have to know things about each other." He sighs.
"I— ugh." He groans. "I did it with my girlfriend at the time. Or I guess my ex because we had broken up and this was sometime during freshmen year in high school and she came onto me out of nowhere at a mutual friend's pool party. But it was weird because we were just hormonal kids and I was just curious so I slipped myself into her only to slip back out right after because—" He's rambling, but you're doing your best to keep up.
"Because?"
"I-I, ugh. Y/N." He shuts his eyes and pinches the bridge of his nose. "Are you really gonna make me say it?"
"Jungkook." You lean a bit to try and catch eye contact.
"I came right away." He says just as the worker puts down your food and takes the number from your table.
"Ohhhhhhh." You say as you nod slowly. "Okay."
"You can just run now." His head hangs low as he slowly slides his chicken over in front of him, causing you to chuckle.
"I'm not going anywhere. It's okay. Stop that."
"It's pathetic."
"No. Besides, I know you'll get better overall, and you'll find someone who will rock with you till the end. We'll work on this."
"Thanks." He says, feeling comfortable around you. You were quick to reassure him and smile at him, he felt himself melting in his seat. Yeah, you were too good for Seokjin.
"You'll have to come to parties with me. Club events. Events in general. It won't look right if I'm always going without you."
"Okay. Can I bring my friends?"
"Sure." He nods. "What do you do in your free time?"
"Play video games and listen to music. Read comics, manga. Build lego sets with the guys."
"Cute." You smile.
"You?"
"Hang out with Sunmi, or just watch movies on my own at my place. Read. Eat by myself. Explore by myself. I value my alone time."
"It's nice." Jungkook's familiar with it. Even if he had his friends around, he truly liked being in his own peace when allowed. "What about outside of the public eye?"
"Hm?" You hum.
"Do we hang out?"
"Yeah we can." You nod.
"Cool." He smiles.
"Is my car gonna be a lot of work for you?"
"Don't worry about it, it'll be good soon. Just might take a bit cause I need some parts to make it look brand new again."
"I really can't thank you enough." He shrugs.
"Only trying to help my girlfriend out." He boldly says, causing you to laugh.
"Confidence is peeking through already, are you sure you need me?" You joke. The rest of the evening, you continue to talk to Jungkook about pretty surface level shit— what you like, dislike, overall experience in high school and college so far. It was a nice, harmless conversation, one where you were starting to see how warmhearted Jungkook really was. How real and laid back.
None of the shit in Seokjin's group. It was refreshing, a breath of fresh air.
Once dinner had finally finished, Jungkook was on his way to drop you off. He had parked in an empty guest spot, offering to walk you up just to be sure. At the door, he took a peek at how clean your studio was, mainly soft colors of white and cream taking over, with plants scattered around your living room area. The hallway in was sandwiched between your kitchen area and another wall, Jungkook assuming your bed was on the opposite side of it. He awkwardly stands at the door, afraid of overstepping.
"Well, goodnight Y/N. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Hey, wait." You smile and come close to him. He swallows, his mouth suddenly feeling dry when he feels your breasts press against his chest. "First lesson— give me a kiss."
"Right now?"
"Jeon Jungkook, we're doing this tomorrow. People are gonna have to see this at least once while we're together." He nods and presses a quick kiss against your cheek. "Not bad, but a little longer?" He complies and presses another kiss, leaving his pillowy lips against your cheek for a little longer before pulling away. "Perfect. Now here." You point at your lips before crossing your arms.
"Y/N, I—"
"Don't be afraid, just do it. I won't kick you in the balls or anything."
"It's not that. I just don't think I'm a great at this stuff."
"Okay." You tippytoe and gently grab his jaw while you lean towards his face. "Just relax, okay? Don't think too much of it." He stays silent, doe eyes constantly on you as you continue to inch forward.
Sparks. Just sparks everywhere for Jungkook.
He feels your soft lips against his and he relaxes, moreso because he feels like he's lost all senses being this close to you. Taking in your scent. Kissing you.
"There." He stands still, still trying to process the kiss. "Not bad. We'll get better over time, but at least that looks believable. Just—" You put his hands down as they were about to fall onto your hips during the kiss, but they fell short. "Let it happen and hold me, okay?" You smile. "Night Jungkook."
"N-night." He stutters as he watches you close the door. "Fuck." He whispers to himself when he realizes he's now sporting a boner. "Jungkook, what the fuck is this?!" He continues to whisper to himself as he waddles down your hallway.
