There's something that I noticed about most of the deaths in CQL/MDZS:

Jin Zixuan: *stands between WWX & his bitch of a cousin* "A-Li is still waiting-...A-Li is still waiting for you at Golden Carp Tower."

Jiang Yanli:" A-Xian, before, why did you run so fast? I didn't even get the chance to look at you. Or say something to you. I'm here to say...I'm here to say..." *pushes Wei Wuxian away & dies saving him*

Wen Qing: "I'm sorry. And thank you." *gives herself and his dearer than eyesight brother up to save WWX. Says goodbye to his loved- ones and goes to her death with her head held high & gives a reassuring smile at Wen Ning while she hold his hand as they wait for their death.*

Yu ZiYuan: *gives up Zidian to JC and sends her kids away, in CQL kills herself when she sees that her husband has fallen, tries to reach for her husband, dies holding his hand and smiling at him.*

Jiang Fengmian: *sends his kids away, goes back for his wife, in his last moments he reaches his hand out to hold hers and dies holding her hand and smiling at her.*

Xue Yang: *risks his life by going to WWX and LWJ to try to save XXC, loses his temper for the first time in the fight when Lan Zhan takes XXC's soul's pouch, falls into WWX's tap when WWX says that he just wants to resurrect XXC to play more games with him and that the revenge he sought was bc of XXC, not himself, dies looking at XXC's candies as he holds them in his hands*

A-Qing: *dies helping LWJ to wound XY. Finally taking the revenge for XXC that she had sought for years.*

Song Lan: *finally finds XXC and seems nervous but determined to reconcile with him and ask him for forgiveness, fights Xue Yang because of him, falters when XY reminds him of what he said to XXC, loses the fight with XY when he calls XXC's name. In his last seconds hold out his sword to XXC in hopes that he can touch the sword's name.*

Wei WuXian (in the show): *smiles at LWJ and very softly calls his name and asks him yo let him go, smiles at JC and as his last words, very softly calls Jiang Cheng's name, closes his eyes and smiles while shedding tears in acceptance when he sees JC's anger and heartbreak, frees his hand out of LWJ's grip when he sees that LWJ might fall with him.*

Jin GuangYao: Er-ge, stay & die with me. *pushes Lan Xichen away* (closely followed by fuck you NMJ but it's not relevant rn.)

THEY'RE ALL ABOUT LOVE! THE LAST ACTS AND THE LAST WORDS ARE ALL OUT OF LOVE!

I'm especially thinking of how Xue Yang, Jin GuangYao & Wei WuXian all died knowing that if nothing else, they were loved, & maybe it wasn't enough compared to the whole shitshow, but it made it all worth something

They smiled before they died.

It's also true for the last scenes of the characters: Song Lan asks Wangxian to tell Xiao Xingchen that it wasn't his fault if they ever see him, the Wen remnants as fierce corpses save Lan Sizhiu & WWX & those with them and bid LSZ farewell, Lan Xichen leaves the story mourning JGY, Nie Huaisang takes JGY's cap with him before he leaves(in the book)/is affirmed to be the mastermind behind everything because he was seeking revenge for his brother (in CQL), Jin Ling decides that even though JGY, WWX & WN all had a hands on his father's death he can't hate them 'cause they've all given him reasons to be unable to. He then asks JC why he let WWX & LWJ go and asks him what was it that he had left unsaid, Jiang Cheng's last scene is him remembering his sacrifice for WWX and deciding that he can't reveal it to him for the same reason that WWX couldn't reveal his own sacrifice to him, in CQL he tells WWX to "take care.", Lan Sizhui remembers WWX from his childhood and they reminisce the past, he hugs WWX's leg and teases him about his PG-13 teachings to him back at that time, and he & Wen Ning, still happy to have found each other decide that they're going to bury the ashes of their people properly & Wen Ning declares that he's going to make his sister a cenotaph, Wangxian... get busy Wangxianning.

NMJ's death and last scene are mostly driven by hatred & anger & spite, but still, he comes to his right mind when NHS comes close and calls him as he qi deviates, and his fierce corpse kills SMS as NHS shouts for help, so I guess that kinda counts?

I took the blood pool thing as a given so love that you clarified things there. also for my own clarification - I actually quite despise JC lol but it hurts to know how much wwx gave to receive that in return. Especially given that for once, JC does show himself capable of being selfless. Makes me wonder how he deteriorated over the years. Anyway, wwx deserved better 'family' and I'm glad he finds it 😭

Yeah, the blood pool 'prison' is certainly an interesting plot twist for a canon divergent fic, but unfortunately it is simply not MXTXs intention.

Oh, I hadn't assumed otherwise! My response was more for anyone else reading the post. I think JC is an interesting, yet incredibly flawed character and should be appreciated as such. Sadly too many people gloss over his terrible personality and excuse many of his awful traits as merely being some sort of 'tsundere' who just dislikes PDA haha - which is insane 😂 I also think that there are a fair few people in the fandom that don't necessarily like JC as a character, but still crave some form of closure for him at the end of the novel and would still prefer some form of reconciliation, despite all of that.

Aww I know 😭 it's heartbreaking. WWX spent most of his life searching for a family, somewhere he could feel safe and wanted. A place he could truly call home, without the strings of debt and obligation attached to it. Every time he came anywhere near having some semblance of a 'family' or 'home' in his first life it ended in tragedy.

Of course, he finally finds all that and more with LWJ and his unconditional love, forever being spoilt by his adoring husband. Someone he can not only lean on when required, but is strong enough to stand by his side as his equal, facing anything life throws at them together as an truly supportive and unstoppable power couple. It's everything WWX deserves 💕

me and my friends @yuzanrath and @mdzs-owns-my-ass-i-guess were casually brainrotting today and we came up with a pretty funny prompt (who knows if I may eventually write it but I do really enjoy it and I don't write enough funny things) For some context, this prompt started as a joke where JC single-handedly invents non-sexual dual cultivation cuz he's so chronically single, but this is a separated idea more focused on wwx haha (no warning cuz no real pregnancies are had, just shenanigans)

Let's say this is like, 2 years post-canon or more. So the 'juniors' probably aren't all juniors at this point but i'm still gonna call them that.

-wwx gets cursed with some sort of bloating while on a night hunt with the juniors but it doesn't start showing until the next day. wwx teases/jokes with the juniors about various forms of innocent touches/staring and points out he and lwj were holding hands the day previous before he left on his trip and kissed him goodbye and so everyone starts to believe he really IS pregnant from such a little thing. (the juniors are ofc horrified at the prospect of such easily acquired pregnancy AND FOR A MALE, and lsz is secretly excited about the prospect of getting a sib)

-Wen Ning (as part of the night hunting party who is still around rn) is kinda doubtful, but he also ends up believing bc the juniors getting excited (mainly lsz) is infectious. And, wwx really does have abdominal swelling; so, as is the theme here, he ends up believing too despite his doubts.

-lxc is informed via a junior and wwx shows that he is in fact not stuffing his shirt and lxc is stumped, can't defute, so decides it's best to go along with it for now just in case, as to not stress out the potentially pregnant brother-in-law.

-lxc and the juniors are babying him a little bit but wwx finds it funny and enjoyable so keeps it up for now since the curse is something he can easily fix and doesn't really hurt.

-LWJ comes home and at first thinks "wei ying what have u done now" but then sees the swelling is actually attached to his body and falls for it too, cue the doting husband who becomes his shadow. No more spicy food while he's 'expecting', no sex cuz he's too rough, no liquor bc bad for the baby.

-wwx handles this for a couple days, the super healthy food, lack of everything he likes, and a subtle pain in his gut from the swelling getting worse too quickly (skin isn't meant to stretch that fast) before he can't do it anymore and confesses that it was him teasing the kids and kept the joke going too long. (He cures the curse in front of him perhaps and lwj is just devastated but in his lwj way. That or LWJ cures it with something simple like cleansing idk)

-They tell lxc & lqr and lxc looks disappointed bc he likes children but mainly bc lwj is sad too (and of course lqr is celebrating oh thank god it was fake)

-they tell lsz & Wen Ning and that's the final straw, the sad subtle puppy-eye looking disappointment makes wwx drag the three on a journey out of the cloud recesses; They find a little bebe orphan to take in, perhaps they have a goofy journey of offering parenthood to orphaned kids who don't trust/don't want it before they find a local single mother died giving birth or something and they end up having a real connection with the baby, including lsz who gets insta attached, and so its decided one way or another that this is their baby.

-They go back to cloud recesses and the juniors are all like "WHERE DID YOU GO WHILE YOU WERE PREGNANT AND THEN LXC SAID YOU WEREN'T AN- OH" baby reveal. and thus wwx grins and the baby joke continues, says that he just had the baby etc etc and lxc was mistaken they just wanted a private birth or smth blah blah blah

-lsz immediately goes along with it because he is extra happy he has a little brother/sister now and he's feeling mischievous too, and says they need to take the baby to the nursery etc etc and wwx needs to rest (he is a bit tired tho after running around and getting rid of that curse n stuff)

-JC comes storming bc of the rumors bc even in gusu they can't shut their traps and sees baby, deflates but still has grumpy face like wtf happened (probably Jin Ling's fault that he finds out)

-wwx would probably joke a bit then tell him the truth immediately instead of trying to make him believe it too to avoid confrontation but asks for him to keep it secret for the joke, and Jc is like "..." cuz its an opportunity for the two to joke around together again even if he's grumpy™️ about it and so he doesn't dote on wwx but he does play along with the joke in his own way for a bit until maybe jc says something crazy and/or outrageous that couldn't be true to jin ling and he goes to wwx in a panic and so the jig is up but he tells all the juniors with 100% honesty that they did just adopt a baby and that part wasn't a joke but he didn't give birth himself and he was OK and then its just cute baby and junior interactions

bonus that came up later:

-lwj gets drunk and ends up going out again with wwx tailing close behind. they come home with another child, and thus when lwj is sober again he's suddenly a father of two young children. Cue cute timid wide-eyed bunny mode lwj while wwx comforts him (but laughing and teasing him like haha you made me pregnant again what a scandal! one look and I instantly gave birth! lwj you're so insatiable) and lsz not-so-secretly celebrates their suddenly growing family.

-JC is extremely pouty in his JC way about all these nephews he only gets to know about after they're already adopted.

-lxc is feeling quite a bit better getting to baby the babies and help his brother with raising children again, and thankfully with wwx also by lwj's side.

It was too wild a ride not to share 😌💖✨

TLDR; wwx tricks the juniors, the jades, lqr and even jc temporarily into believing he's pregnant as a way to beat the boredom while lwj is out of cloud recesses (and continues until he can't stand the doting/guilt because he succeeds in his joking too well.) wwx and lwj end up actually adopting bc wwx can't stand the disappointed faces.

I don’t really know how to explain this without sounding rude again this TK dude but like… I always said I had basically the same taste in men as Taylor, like even YB with the limited info I had on him when they started dating I could see the appeal. She had a type very aligned to mine. So I have been completely shocked about her dating this NFL dude because there isn’t a universe where I could find him attractive, at all. He’s so not my type that I rather not see him, i don’t think he’s a bad guy but he kind of makes me think of one bc he looks like the stereotypical american dude that is a douche. And Like I get that’s maybe his appeal, the different type, but… wow. What a change in taste. Bc this guy is not only unattractive… personality wise? What i’ve seen so far seems very… attention grabbing but not in a good way. He seems to never shut up… and after years of not hearing anything about her rs this constant stream of news being like: TK said this, TK said that… is giving me whiplash. Like I get she doesn’t want to be again with a guy who won’t speak about her… but this completely the other extreme, and i doubted she wanted that either…

I just can’t get what she sees in him

Oh my goodness, Anon, YES. To virtually all of this.

I have never before had to work this hard to wrap my head around what Blondie sees in a partner. I can imagine it, sure. (Our views do not align. At all. But I can imagine what she sees.) But in the past? All the other times? I immediately understood. I didn’t always like the guys—JM creeped me out at one of his concerts I attended pre-Blondie, early on CH seemed unfaithful and kind of petty, and MH is a giant, privileged child—but it wasn’t hard for me to identify the reasons why she did.

Prior to this, these men seemed to be: handsome, lanky guys who were either kind and charismatic charmers (sometimes love bombers, which was a problem), were polite and articulate British men, or BOTH. The intersection of those two is my personal preference. Here are some of my celebrity crushes over the years (a few I discovered while watching things years after they debuted).

I am trying to view this as I do with my friends when they date partners I do not like: I am there for them. I love them (which does not shift even if I do not care for their partners). And yeah - my husband gets an earful. But I show up for them. I can do both things at once.

Hear that, Anons I have had to block? I am fine with this duality: being a Blondie fan while not being a fan of her partner. Both of these can be true.

But I haaaate that I am being forcefed TK content simply because I am a Blondie fan. I like HER. Don’t punish me by sending me content I am actively trying to avoid (men who look like him, and anything to do with the problematic NFL).

OMG IT WORKS! HI!

Yep, my mom is a big fan and I listened to it (the original cast recording) as soon as I learned some English (my first language is Russian), so I think at 8?

My faves are the 1973 movie (cuz classic) but I don't at all like Ted Neeley, Питерская Рок-опера (st Petersburg Rock Opera) but it has to be with Bayarunas as Jesus and Kazmin as Judas, and the Swedish version from 2012 in Stockholm. I am completely in love with Peter Johansson's Judas and this musical is actually the reason I got into Scandinavian languages! I'm studying Norwegian now, not Swedish, but there are a lot of similarities so I understand a pretty big part of the words. Also I have a life-sized cardboard version of Swedish Judas in my room (I'm moving in with my girlfriend @furciferangeli rn so ya better believe Judas is coming with me. I showed her the thing and she has a giant crush on him as well, so he is now ✨OUR✨ cardboard husband).

I am so mentally ill about Chriscariot (Jesus/Judas) that I wrote a very short angsty-ass fic in Russian about them at some point, but I've only showed it to the aforementioned girlfriend so it's just chilling in my notes app for now✌️

My blog was even named after JCS: it was originally scripturethumpinghack from the line "He's just another scripture-thumping hack from Galilee" from "Then we are decided", a duet between Caiaphas and Annas (it was only included in the st Petersburg version and the movie, it's not even in the original album), but I decided it would be easier for my ADHD brain to remember my usernames if I had them the same across the board :) I also had a TikTok account called jaded-mandarin I think, but I don't use it anymore for reasons of Russia lol

College student jc who has to take care of his recently dead sister and her husband son. Its rather hard to do, since he has no one else to help him, but he does his best.

He's thankful that his teacher don't mind him bringing jl to his classes, sitting at the back taking note in silence. He's also happy that jl is a rather quiet baby and doesn't start crying or making too much noise when he's in class.

He already knew lxh a bit before, but the man slowly entered his life a bit more afterwards, helping around with jl. He learns quickly that jc won’t accept him helping with giving money or anything that would be pricy because he doesn’t want to have to repay him, so he helps with small thing like taking care of jl when jc has an exam the next day or is too close to a dead line, doing babysitting when jc has to work and the nice wife of his boss couldn’t do it for him anymore (he doesn’t have the money to spare for a babysitter and he repay lxh by doing a meal since the man won’t accept money). They grow closer as weeks go by, jc slowly letting lxh help him out a bit more.

Of course, lxh falls head over heel for the young “dad” who is truly trying his best, yet he doesn’t tell him. How could he when jc has already so much to worry about? He doesn’t need to worry about unrequired love. Plus, he wouldn’t want for his genuine help to be seen as something he was using to get jc to give him a chance “because look all I did for you!”.

And of course, jc also falls for lxh, but won’t tell him. How could he not fall for the handsome man who is helping him out so much without asking for anything and is also very interesting? But he won’t tell him, because he doesn’t want to be a burden for lxh. After all, there a difference between starting to date normally and doing so while taking care of a child.

JL grows up taken care by his jiujiu, lxh basically a second guardian at this point by how often he was around helping jc and even present at big event. He grows up seeing the two man basically dancing around each other and juts pining for one another, thing slowly falling into place as he gets older and understand thing better about romance.

He ends up trying to play matchmaking (joined by his friends), pushing them a bit more towards each other as best as he could, but these two are just /too/ stupid to get together so he just sits them down and straightforwardly tell them to “talk it out, am tired of seeing you two pins for one another”.

They do end up actually confessing, under the careful eye of jl who won’t let them just backoff. They start dating after basically 15 years of looking like a couple who’s trying to raise a kid.

Meet the Khannas

we're robbed of all khanna family content, despite rowan being The best friend of mc. so, as resident rowan stan, i naturally took the job jc didn't and sharing it with you guys. feel free to use these in your own stories.

HAZEL AND FAMILY

- let's start with the nuclear family. hazel khanna is rowan's mother, and anthony khanna is rowan's dad. not to forget rowan's little brother, ashok khanna, who's about two years younger than harry potter, for reference. which means he's about 10 years younger than rowan and the hphm gang.

- hazel is the eldest daughter of willow khanna, rowan's grandma. hazel has three younger siblings: anya khanna, jehan khanna, and rani khanna. sadly, rani died when she and hazel were little — in a game of hide and seek, she hid in a dangerous part of the farmhouse and hazel was too late when she found her. she carries the tragic guilt for a long time, causing her to develop overprotective tendencies around the people she loves, especially rowan.

- anthony wasn't the first man hazel married. on her age of 18, willow had arranged her with a man she chose for her eldest. hazel experienced a miscarriage, which messed her up horribly considering her past experiences with a child dying thanks to her “lack of caution”. her husband was dissatisfied with her condition and left.

- anthony malhotra is a tall, cheerful guy. he and hazel had been best friends in their hogwarts years, along with two other people ( who i hope isn't very obvious as a rowan x mc activist hahahaha ) in their respective years. they met each other again by accident in a marketplace and caught up after years. anthony learned of the struggles hazel had been going through and stayed with her. he knew he can't help her, but he'll be there for her. after a few years of dating, they got married. they skipped having a baby for a couple of years due to hazel's trauma. but in the end, they had baby rowan.

- hazel tends to be restricting and overprotective when it comes to rowan. rowan is clumsy and loud and is prone to getting themself in trouble, which pushes hazel to fear the worst. she gets neurotic over the smallest scrapes in rowan's knee and over the most common tummyache they get from eating too much candy. anthony reminds hazel to relax, that their kid is fine, they're just being a kid who does kid things. anthony's words are soothing and right, and she relaxes in his arms as they watch their little kid run around chasing ducks.

ANYA AND FAMILY

- ashok khanna is the youngest grandchild of willow in the khanna household. he develops a more mischievous nature while also being little bashful at first. unlike rowan, he doesn't struggle with friends and has a bit of a rebellious streak which makes him likeable by kids his age. though, it's undeniable that he's a mommy's boy.

- anya khanna is the second child to willow khanna. being close in age to hazel ( smart, pretty, responsible, perfect hazel ) and jehan ( beautiful, loved, popular jehan ) leaves her in a somewhat constant “feeling inferior” state. also she's autistic, though not officially diagnosed.

- if you remember rowan mentioning their uncle ollie who makes brooms, this is him ! ollie o'brien is a specialist in broom making and loving his wife. he supports his younger kids' ambition in quidditch, as it is also one of his greatest passions.

- their eldest daughter, apple khanna. she loves baking and is often in charge of big event family meals. she's quiet and reserved but sweet and caring, especially towards her mother. grandma willow likes her for her diligence and obedience, though would love for her to be a bit more chatty and social.

JEHAN AND FAMILY

- their younger pair of twins, joni and jorya khanna. playing in gryffindor's quidditch team, these two are as chaotic as a pair of bludgers. they're loud and enjoy making their presence known by causing trouble. grandma willow finds these two infuriating, and are often the cause of anya looking ten years older. they love to bully and tease their younger cousin, rowan. joni also takes a special interest in duelling, while her twin brother has a secret hobby in sculpting and painting.

- jehan khanna is the third child to willow khanna. he's famous for his modelling work in the wizarding fashion industry, as he's the most fashionable guy in the khanna household. willow is most prideful of him, as his rising star career helps the farmhouse and the family greatly.

- jehan is married to perry gaumont ( they/them ), who is a well-known ballroom dancer in the wizarding arts community. they met during a convention and decided they clicked rather well, so then they hit it off and had two lovely daughters, also following in their parents' footsteps to fame.

- cypress khanna is jehan's eldest daughter, and also the oldest khanna grandchild. she's sweet, graceful, and attractive with a mesmerizing voice. she's a singer and a violinist, famous at a young age — way before she had even joined hogwarts. cypress is willow's favorite grandchild. rowan feels both intimidated and drawn to this particular cousin.

EXTRA:

- kiran khanna is jehan's youngest daughter. unlike her sister, being born into fame at a young age unfortunately makes her entitled and a little spoiled. she often feels one-upped by her sister, receiving less attention whenever she's around. she also enjoys picking on her cousins, especially rowan. grandma willow often overlooks her, which drives her competitive nature over the roofs.

- the founder of the khanna tree farm is a guy named elmer khanna, owner of an elm wand. his grandson came up with the khanna heirloom spell, which is then passed on for generations.

- if you noticed, some of the khannas have names resembling wood names. willow, hazel, cypress, apple, rowan. the khannas uphold this specific family tradition where firstborns are given the name of the tree they choose.

- there's a family heirloom in the form of a spell that can only be cast by a khanna, in which the spell is cast upon the firstborn, allowing the child to feel a strong magical pull towards a tree grown in their farm. the child will be named after the tree, and the wood of said tree is destined to be the firstborn's wand for a lifetime. a broken firstborn’s wand is considered a bad omen.

- cypress was a gryffindor, apple a hufflepuff, kiran a slytherin, the twins gryffindors, and ashok a ravenclaw. rowan was a huge hatstall.

- from the youngest grandkid to the oldest: ashok ( 1 ), rowan ( 11 ), joni and jorya ( 14 ), kiran ( 16 ), apple ( 19 ), cypress ( 20 ).

- jehan and perry helped make the family and community trans friendly, which is why rowan feels more comfortable exploring their own gender and sexuality at a young age.

- i'll add more if i remember !

- anthony, ollie, and perry are absolute trophy husbands who married into the family. <3

- hazel was a gryffindor and anthony was a ravenclaw. they were a group of best friends with kenneth and delia, adel's parents.

- rani stayed behind as one of the farmhouse’s resident ghosts, among with a couple other khannas who chose to stay behind. she’s the youngest ghost in the farmhouse.

- rowan looks a lot like their late aunt rani.

- not sure if i'll make this canon yet, but i made a headcanon ( for my own headcanon lmao ) that hazel's first son is actually alive. r took the baby for some reason and tampered with the khannas memories of the baby, leaving them with the knowledge that the baby was never delivered. the boy is supposedly around the same age as jacob, and is raised in r as their own boy. he later escapes and finds his family, unsure of whether or not the khannas will accept him, a boy they have no memories of, he turns into a fluffy ginger cat. 10 year old rowan takes him in and names him fuzzclaw.

I read that El País article and…wow. I have so much respect for Letizia. She hasn’t had it easy between the press, royal staff and even some of her own in laws and family working against her but she continues on. I think she’s more confident in her role now than ever before, working on causes she cares about and supporting Felipe and the girls in every way she can. It’s lovely to see her flourishing as Queen and although there will always be some who never like or accept her I think more and more people are seeing her in a different light.

I don't think we'll ever know what went on and I imagine it's much worse than what little is reported. The press has no incentive to uncover it since they were a fundamental part in the witch-hunt of Letizia. She will never talk since it would be a scandal that could only harm her daughters. I am just glad she was not "broken" and has been able to overcome it since her husband took the reins.

Honestly the in-laws are the worst of the lot, the others took their cues from them. The staff wouldn't have received the order to "briddle her" if it didn't come from the top, she was the Princess of Asturias. Thanks to Cristina's tax returns in her and Urdangarín's court case we know Letizia received less money than Elena and Cristina, who had very well paid jobs outside their royal roles and undertook very few official events while she was the future queen and a full-time royal.

Part of the press would have always been brutal, cruel and dehumanising, Letizia became royal at the begining of the golden age of trashy/tabloid tv and internet gossip. I don't think people outside Spain can grasp how big that industry was, the hours upon hours of gossip and "scandals". And Letizia was the perfect target, she never sued, the Royal Household never complained on her behalf, no matter what was said (and even fed the flames using friends of the family and staff (cough, secretary of Elena and Cristina, cough)). She is also, almost 20 years after her overnight celebrity, the most famous person in Spain. Press and photo agencies say that her photos are always the best-sellers, fashion and jewelry brands state that no matter what famous Spaniard (Rosalía, actresses, influencers) wear their stuff, it's nothing compared to the sales and reach as when Letizia wears it. And we're talking of a (almost) 50 year old who's been in the spotlight for 20 years and has two teenage daughters. So of course the press was going to exploit her image but in the last years, since she became Queen and they purged Zarzuela you can see the shift in the media coverage. The big narratives (that she's cold, rigid, overprotective of her daughters, is not royal 24/7) still prevail and Hola magazine, the royal magazine in Spain, is dismissive because they used to enjoy direct communication with Sofía sr. and Juan Carlos (they gave Corinna a cover and an interview while she was JC's mistress, a total wtf moment) and miss their access and their old masters who still try to put out their narratives. But in general the tone is much milder and less going for her jugular.

1. 1. Hii, if it isn't too much hassle and if you're still taking asks, i have a question about a fic i think has been deleted? I'm not sure.

A) It goes like this : Nie Huisang goes back in time, and he gets his brother to bring a young, severely malnourished Wei Ying and is trying to keep him from being sent to Yunmeng ( he kept intercepting his brother's letters to Yunmeng to let them know about Wei Ying). And he has this idea that if he gets Wei ying to believe he is an ugly child (malnourished ++) and that everybody will love him for him and not his skills.

I had it in my bookmarks but i think it was recently deleted? If you have any idea please lmk 🙏 i've lost too many fics this way.

B) There is another fic that's been deleted? a while ago. Wei ying had to wear a mask and was told to never reveal his face. He was married to Lan zhan in an arranged marriage but then Lan Zhan was supposedly forced to marry Wen Qing? Wei ying ended up adopting A-yuan and his twin brother.

Idk if i remember correctly (if it's the same fic) but the last chapter i read Wei Ying had to be forced through a sort of cleansing from demonic cultivation and he basically almost died bleeding ( he told lan zhan he was the one he trusted to do it). I think in the chapter count only one or two chapters were left till the end of the fic.

2. Hi! I have been searching for a fic I read a while ago, but I only remember small details about it. Wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone: its wangxian time travel fic, Madam Yu is heavily implied to have had a past romantic relationship (or unrequited crush) on CSSR and JFM is implied to have been in a past relationship with WCZ. At one point, WWX & LWJ make a trip to Meishan Yu to meet an elder that helps forge a new spiritual weapon for WWX that will listen only to WWX & LWJ (during this process I think LWJ has to give up/break part of his guqin for some reason?) They fight the war, and then have to deal with WWX's reputation tanking post-war again - which is solved by a suggestion from JGY (something along the lines of "let the public see you as a dad (of a-yuan) and a husband instead of a demonic cultivating war hero"). @kilegriel

3. Firstly I have to say that I love this blog! It's keeping my To Be Read pile very well stocked! 😁

Secondly, there is a fic I found on AO3 around a year ago and no matter what tags I try I just can't find it!

What I remember is that it is modern with cultivation, married WangXian, and that it's the beginning of an apocalypse where loads of people have been turned into puppets. It was supposed to be blamed on WWX but, coincidentally, he falls ill just before the start and couldn't possibly have done it.

Iirc the apocalypse lasts for about a week and turns out to have been caused by something contaminating the water supply with JGS and/or JGY behind it.

It might start with something like "On the first day of the end of the world…"

6. Hello! As always, thank y’all so much for everything you do. I was hoping for some help finding a fic. It was a modern AU and Wei Wuxian was having some Gender Feelings, I think is the best way to describe them, and was sort of…jealous? of their very nice cishet neighbor. I think they live in a suburb and WWX gets kind of restless when he notices their neighbor is pregnant and he kinda maybe wants to play around with something like that, and anyway he tells LWJ this and they end up acting out a scene by having ‘normie straight people’ sex (i.e. LWJ basically does what he wants without worrying what WWX might want). C) Wei ying is trapped in CR, specifically in the jingshi. He and sizhui manage to escape from lan zhan, but it turns out sizhui told lan zhan before hand and he drugged him. Lan zhan had been drugging wei ying to make sure that he remains in the jingshi with him and sizhui wanted their family together forever.

D) Jiang cheng, huasang and wuxian go kn a camping/hiking trip? Anyways they take turns driving and the whole time jiang cheng is judging everyones ability to drive, including his. Huasang ran away from dage bc he didnt want to work out or something and jiang cheng has a crush on him (can’t remember) @minivminie

20. Hello again! I've been trying to find two fics for weeks and just can't seem to find them. A) One was an arranged marriage between lan zhan and wei ying that was set up by the jins; wei ying was never part of the jiang and he had some funky death stuff going on in the burial mounds, and took in the wens. The jin made both the wens and the Lans think the other was going to attack and that's why they did the marriage. B) The other fic has wei ying and lan zhan getting together but keeping it secret; I don't remember much, just that in trying to save the wens, jiang change tries to marry wen Qing and madam yu gets pissed off and says that since it was wei yings idea, he should marry her. Wei ying is later crying to lan zhan because both of them know it's the only option they have to save them, so he'll do it. Lan xichen comes across them and realizes they're in a relationship, and decides to marry wen qing himself to fix it - later lan zhan and wei ying reveal their relationship. Just one of them was enough to make him keep the two eyes very open, but the two, together… a true nightmare. A-Ling would fight over his jiujiu's attention - against Jingyi AND against Xichen. And Jingyi would fight back because… well, because he was who he was: the less Lan of all Lans.

LXC: Sometimes I wonder if there's any chance of Jingyi being actually a Nie changed at birth…

JC: Sometimes I wonder HOW Wei Wuxian managed to raise such a calm son while a-jie's child is… this full-time upset baby Peacock…

JL: A-Ling is not a peacock!

JC: Your dad is a Peacock, and so are you.

JL: Mean jiujiu!

LXC: Wanyin, making them cry won't help…

JC: Helps me to get my revenge for what they've done to us.

But then this wonderful Guardian fic by @the-marron left me overly emotional and I can't get out of my head everything I felt while reading.

So, Marron, a quick painting of someone who wished he had the talent to convey your impeccable writing on a canvas, but really just has a lot of feelings.

Fun fact: it's the first time in over twenty years of being part of fandoms that I've tried to paint something for someone else's fic.
