I'd been feeling pretty demotivated about Japanese because I felt like I hadn't made any progress for months, but I finally started watching anime again and managed to catch quite a few words, and sometimes I could match up the translated subtitles to the Japanese words. I also went back through the anki decks I made for the N4 and realised how many of the words previously graded E or F I now know without really thinking.

Of course, there are still plenty of words I struggle with. But I'm getting there. Maybe by the end of next month I'll be able to move on to learning N3 properly. I've already started on N3 kanji (and, by extension, some vocabulary). I really need to focus on grammar though honestly.

I made a start on Enjoy Norwegian too, again. I've had this textbook for a long time and I keep saying I'm gonna actually use it and then I forget lmao. Unit 1 was pretty easy so I mostly just read aloud and answered questions aloud, focusing on pronunciation.

And then I had a 2-hour conversation with my Norwegian teacher. I booked a 1-hour lesson even though he said I didn't need to pay him, he just missed me and wanted to catch up. We've become pretty good friends honestly which is kinda cool, and we only stopped talking because I had to go to bed.

Last week's goals:

Learn the first bridge + second verse of 少女S - I'm more or less there with the first bridge (although I need the lyrics sometimes) but the second verse still needs work

1 chapter of Minna No Nihongo - Yes, I completed ch 6

At least 1 HIIT session and 2 stretching sessions - I did yoga twice, two HIIT sessions, went for a walk and did some dance. Go me!

Finish January's beginner Norwegian crash course + another 2-3 of February's WOTD posts - I queued half of the remaining posts and another week's worth of February's posts. Truly an ADHD mood lmao

This week's goals:

Learn second verse + bridge of 少女S

1 chapter of Minna No Nihongo

1 unit of Enjoy Norwegian

Finish queuing January's content + another week (up to day 21) of February's content

At least 4 stretching sessions/yoga + 2 other kinds of exercise

Hi~ normally I go by Yurei.Yozakura but here I'll just follow the trend(?) and name myself whatever shabernack goes on in my brain~ I'm 27 y/o, english is not my native tongue so I might make some mistakes here and there. personality:

In her years, Shoko has come to be a rather serious and gloomy person, despite how she was in her younger days of being the more laid back of her peers. One to previously avoid most conflict, she now tends to mediate instead, especially when it comes to Gojo harping on others. She also tends to be more to the point on getting work done, though finds enjoyment in her work—showing disappointment when she was unable to perform an autopsy. While not as expressive and high energy as her peers (not anymore at least) she is still able to keep up with how they work and seems to have the patience to handle their eccentricities. Despite how she may come off she also holds some compassion, ensuring that Itadori understands it wasn't on him when he killed a human that was mutilated by Mahito's curse technique to become more monstrous and that the technique itself is what got them first, knowing that it would weigh on the boy otherwise.

your muse’s greatest strength: her ability to stomach some of the worst shit you have ever seen

history / background:

Shoko was born with the ability to see what are called curses, manifestations of human's grudges that are otherwise invisible and intangible to the layman. She was also born with cursed energy, and was naturally able to harbor the ability to reverse it in order to heal others. These facts combined allowed her to enter Jujutsu High in her later years alongside Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru, her classmates and close friends. Her last contact with the latter was in Shinjuku when he was already on the run, calling him childish for believing no one would understand him before calling Gojo to come get him instead.

After graduating Jujutsu High, Shoko obtained her medical license in two years by cheating. She then began working at the school as a doctor, healing those who worked on the field as well as performing autopsies on bodies brought back to her that needed to be identified and for studying purposes. Living this life along with events of the past and losing a close friend is likely what led to her alcoholism—though it's not mentioned much.

At current, she is dealing with the aftermath of the incident in Shibuya caused by the curse that is piloting Geto Suguru's corpse. In one night she was reminded of the friend she lost years ago (though only dead for one year, she considered him gone years before then) as well as lost the other two left, leaving her on her own. Work comes first of course, and there is plenty of healing to be done given the circumstances.

Reverse Cursed Technique — Shoko is able to reverse cursed energy in order to heal others. This comes to her naturally, and is essentially taking the cursed energy (a negative) and reversing it (creating a positive) to heal wounds.

So when i started watching Jujutsu Kaisen I wasn't that fond of Megumi. And I understood that because he is that basic dark-haired "emo" guy and with that cool attitude many people like him (or maybe they would even kill for him...)

After starting reading the manga I finally reached chapter 58.

Yay, I love the questions! I’ll try to answer them all Aina! Thank you! ♥️ Will put the rest under the cut ‘cuz long answer ahead!

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

Oh not at all! :) Fortunately the fandoms I belong to aren’t toxic or at least the users I follow aren’t toxic, thus making my fandom experience a lot enjoyable and worthwhile. I owe it to them that I do not regret joining those fandoms!

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?

I would say Jujutsu Kaisen but I haven’t invested in it that much yet since I’m waiting for the first season to finish. So I’ll answer with my second to the latest fandom - Naruto! I got involved because my mutuals over here (hi trouvelle and purplellamanator!!) post a lot about Naruto and I got curious. So I watched the first part on Netflix and DAMN. My two months went by in a flash. 😂 720 episodes and 10+ movies later, here I am, a Naruto trash but most especially, a Kakashi simp. HAHAHA.

10. Is there a fandom you read fic from but don’t write in?

Yes! Almost all my fandoms except Detective Conan. 😂 I read fics of Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto, and Kimetsu no Yaiba but I never published any fic for these series. I’m good with just reading fics made by others. ♡

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

Yes, in Naruto, I’m quite surprised I find myself liking KakaSaku. I shall admit it’s one of the ships out there that get lots of hate because, well. But I will not tolerate it when people conclude that people who support the ship support p*dophilia. I won’t dig into that further because I might ramble. Haha! Anyway aside from KakaSaku, other ships which I surprisingly like in Naruto are KakaObi, KakaRin, KakaObiRin, SasoSaku, ItaSaku, ShikaIno, etc. For BNHA, BakuCamie, BakuMomo, and BakuJirou. It’s all surprising because those who know me know that before all of these, I mostly ship canon pairings. But then, idk, Naruto changed my life and widened my lens to a variety of rare, unique, non-canon pairings with dynamics I love and I want to tinker with.

I just have to add to this, the main reason I ship is because I enjoy characters’ dynamics. I ship because I enjoy how the ship works and that’s it. Sometimes one doesn’t have to necessarily ascribe to it any sort of ethical meaning. After all, shipping is about finding comfort in two (or more) fictional characters’ interactions with each or one another - there are lots of varieties. Certainly that doesn’t equate me being a bad/immoral person because I know for myself what’s right or wrong. Fictional characters won’t let me affect my stance on irl sensitive issues. Okay so I did ramble a little.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

No! Certain cringe-y scenes probably yes, but not the whole fic. I don’t regret writing any of my fics because I knew they gave me joy once. <3

27. What do you hate more: Coming up with titles or writing summaries?

Writing! Summaries! It’s tedious. It’s troublesome. It’s difficult! What do they mean I have to summarize the whole story in less than three sentences?! I can’t! What if the summary turns out bad? People will lose the chance of reading the actual fic which may actually change their lives! Yeah, I hate writing summaries. Hahaha.

30. What inspires you to write?

My daydreams principally inspire me to write. ✨ Following close are the reviews and kind feedbacks I get from people. ♡

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

I struggle with expositions, world-building, and dialogue. 😵 You know how I have it all mapped in my brain but when I convert the thoughts into actual words, my fingers do nothing but hover over the keyboard. 48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?

95% of the time I do! Very rarely do I not leave reviews. As a fellow writer, I understand how frustrating it can be to have someone read your work and not say anything. It makes you anxious or paranoid or lose your drive to write more fics. That’s why I always make it a point to leave a comment after reading any fic I read, may it be just an emoji or a simple ‘I like it!’. Writers deserve feedback after spending hours making their craft and mustering the courage to offer their masterpiece for the world to read. :)
