"You know, no matter how many times you look at your watch, it doesn't make time go faster."

Aziraphale put his pocket watch back in his jacket and replied to Nina in a tone he intended to be casual, "I don't know what you mean."

The coffee-shop owner chuckled and replied, "Just that you've just looked at your watch for the tenth time in less than a minute. It's not going to make him come any faster."

Maggie whispered, "Nina, leave him alone."

Nina nudged her shoulder as she replied, "You're no fun..."

The Backroom owner said softly, "I know what it's like to wait impatiently for your loved one to come to you."

Nina's face softened as she took Maggie's hand in hers and replied, "Okay, I'll stop."

Then, looking at a spot behind Aziraphale, she added, "Oh, Aziraphale, I think you can stop looking at your watch."

The angel turned his head immediately, then waved at Crowley to show him where they were.

He was pleased to see the demon smile as soon as their eyes met, and watched as he approached, making his way through the crowded pub.

Arriving in front of him, Crowley greeted everyone before leaning over and softly pressing his lips to the angel's before sitting down in the empty chair beside him. Then he immediately took Aziraphale's hand in his and placed their intertwined hands on his lap.

The demon and angel smiled at each other, then Aziraphale asked, "How was your aft-"

"Damn."

Aziraphale and Crowley looked at Nina, who looked at them with an annoyed expression.

Maggie said with a smile, "Be a good sport, honey, you bet and you lost."

Seeing the confused looks on the faces of the angel and the demon, Maggie explained, "Nina was sure you wouldn't kiss to greet each other and I wasn't. We made a bet, and thanks to you, I won."

Aziraphale laughed softly and Crowley asked with interest, "And what did you win?"

Maggie smiled broadly as she replied, "The loser rubs the winner's feet and buys the next round."

Crowley chuckled and said cheekily, "Oh, then I'll order one of the more expensive Taliskers."

Nina threatened him with her finger, "You!"

When the mood calmed down a bit, Aziraphale asked, "Why did you think we wouldn't kiss?"

Nina shrugged and replied, "You don't seem like the type to have visible displays of affection in public."

Aziraphale nodded before replying, "You're not just any public, you're our friends, we have nothing to hide from you."

He raised their entwined hands to his lips and planted a kiss there to illustrate his point.

Crowley muttered under his breath, "Angel..."

Nina sneered and pointed at the demon, "Ooooh, you're blushing, you're embarrassed, aren't you? Admit it!"

"Me? I'll show you who's embarrassed."

He turned to Aziraphale and, after wrapping his arm around his neck, pressed his lips to the angel's in a kiss that lasted much longer than the hello kiss they'd shared and left no doubt, even to a stranger, about the nature of their relationship.

As they broke apart, they heard Nina say to Maggie, "Okay, okay, I'll buy the next two rounds."

The angel and demon looked at each other and began to laugh out loud, soon joined by Nina and Maggie.

The floor of the garage wasn't the comfiest, but they couldn't stand to be walking around at this point in time. Thus, the underneath of the table against the wall opposite where Toto was sat in the garage was her next option.

The race had been red-flagged, and all the cars and drivers had been called back into the pits. They had stayed in their car originally as they came back, only to clamber out with shaking hands as the realisation of what had happened had set in.

They now knew he had gotten out, that he was safe and alive, but at that moment, they were scared.

It's not every day a bad crash happens in formula one. But it's highly likely that the driver isn't getting out of their car alive in that instance.

The safety under the table was interrupted when the sight of their boss appeared in front of them. The Austrian crouched down to be almost at eye level with the younger driver on his team.

"The race is continuing," he began to say before his head turned to look at something on his left, "Are you going to be okay to get back into the car?"

She deliberated it whilst looking at Toto, the team principal turned back to face her. Although it was thoughtful of him to ask, she knew she had no choice in the matter. She would have to climb back into that car and race unless something drastic happened to her. She had to go and defend her title as well. To win the championship for her and the team.

Nodding in response to Toto as she didn’t trust her voice yet, the almost 50-year-old patted her leg before pulling himself up and allowing the shadow that appeared next to him to draw closer. As she blinked back the tears that began to form, the shadow became a person she could make out. The familiar black fireproofs of her teammate appeared as the person crouched down to her level.

Lewis turned and slid under the table coming to a halt next to her, his leg resting against hers. His face mask covered his mouth so she couldn't see the soft smile he was aiming at her. He offered his hand to her, allowing her to choose to hold his or not. She grabbed it, holding on tight to it before squeezing it three times, the couple's way of telling each other they were okay and that they loved them.

Bringing his other hand to where hers was clasped in his, Lewis began to trace the outline of her hand, his fingers gliding over the back. Her head fell to his shoulder as she sighed contentedly and somewhat afraid.

"Are you going to be okay?" Lewis asked. It was quiet enough that she could just hear him above the sounds of the garage but not so the microphones accompanying the cameras could pick up on the words he said.

She looked up at him, wiping away the few tears that had fallen. Traitors, she thought before replying, "I should be."

She paused. Seeing his brow pinch and worry across his face she continued.

"Got to get back in the car and stop you from stealing my championship," she tried to joke hoping it worked to both convince him that she would be okay and convince herself that she would be fine.

Lewis turned the hand of hers he was holding, now beginning to trace the lines on the palm of her hand. The feeling of his fingers dragging softly began to soothe her, allowing her racing heart to finally slow. He leant down slightly placing a soft kiss on her head before reaching up and turning her head to look at him.

“You ready?” he asked, eyes full of concern for her. She nodded in return, pressing a kiss to the palm of his hand before Lewis and then herself hauled themselves out from under the table and began to prepare for the race ahead of them

It was just how he was. So open, friendly and warm and that always manifested itself in how he greeted people. Whether it was a friend or acquaintance, new or old, family or a sibling he would embrace them. Envelop them in his open arms, kisses pressed the back of hands or to each cheek as is the Italian custom. You watch this greeting ritual over and over again, people coming and going from meetings and gatherings. All got to feel that token of his open affection.

For you though it was always a kiss to the forehead. Always last thing in the evening as he dismissed you with his thanks. He would rest his hands on your shoulders and pressing his surprisingly soft lips to you before stepping away. It had taken you by surprise at first not that he was trying to kiss you, that you had been told to expect. No it was the chaste soft way he went about it as if he knew no other way to show you his appreciation. A kiss and a smile and then a faint smudge of his paint visible still when you looked in the mirror upon returning to your rooms. It has become your routine, the two of you which all gets disrupted by the announcement of the upcoming tour. There is so much to organise you both end up working late into the night, his rehearsals with the ghouls and all the extra administration you must complete eating into your usual day to day tasks, your meal times and often into your evenings. No matter what though he always sent you off with a soft press of his lips and a soft dismissal.

You’re sitting at your desk finalising the last arrangements the day before he was due to leave. The long days and nights spent together making sure every detail is perfect have paid off almost everything having been accounted for and although you are pleased that your frantic work has come to an end a part of you feels sad that it also means an end to spending your every waking moment with him. The work had taken a toll on him as well, you think as you glance towards his desk. He was visibly stressed, his hair falling into his face, mussed by his continuous fussing fingers fighting an unending battle to keep it out of his face. The glasses he pretends he doesn’t need to anyone other than you have smudged his paint where he keeps pushing them back up his nose. His usually pristine white gloves stained with the ink from his overly ornate fountain pen. It was bittersweet you thought as you watched him. You enjoyed spending this time with him yet it always meant he would be gone for weeks and months, your only contact irregular phone calls to relay instructions as you continued to work in his absence. The office was cold and quiet without him but for tonight at least it wasn't. With an emphatic sigh he looks up catching you in the act but he only offers you a warm smile in return.

‘Not long left Sorella and you will have some peace from me,’ he offers with a wink.

‘I can't say I won't appreciate catching up on sleep but it's not the same here when you are away Papa.’ If you weren’t so tired you might tease him about getting more work done but the little energy you have left only allows you to be painfully earnest. And if you hadn't made it your business to know all his expressions and tells you might have missed the slight widening of his eyes in surprise, his smile slipping away just for a moment.

‘You miss your Papa do you?’ He almost sounds like he is teasing you but there is still an air of disbelief in his tone.

‘Of course I do. I miss your company and your direction,’ you pause wondering if you are really about to say what is on your mind. ‘But I especially miss my goodnight kiss.’ He looks at you for a moment with the same air of surprise in his face until it is broken by a loud yawn, entirely interrupting whatever it was he was going to say next. ‘You should go to bed Papa you have a long day tomorrow. I can finish up here.’ You don't want him to go but it is probably for the best. Satan knows what you might admit to with another hour's worth of exhaustion.

‘You are good to me Sorella I think I will do this, si.’ He fixes you with one of his intense soul searching stares, just the hint of a smirk pulling at his lips. ‘There is one thing I must do before I retire though. If you are going to miss it especially.’ You feel your cheeks heat at him reminding you of your recent admission but still you lean back in your chair as he stands and stretches, waiting in anticipation for your kiss. He walks towards you slowly rubbing at his lower back but still smiling as he stands before you.

‘Perhaps when I return we can try a hello kiss too, si?’ You don’t answer but the smile that spreads across your face as he presses his lips to your forehead should be all the answer he needs. As he pulls away you tip your head back looking up at him while butterflies flutter in your stomach as you get caught in his gaze. He leans towards you slowly giving you plenty of opportunity to stop him but you let your eyes drop closed content just to let the moment happen. The kiss you get is as soft and sweet as any other he has given you but this time you get to give him one back.

a/n: hi i'm back and got kinda carried away... tag yourselves i'm a combination of woozi and lee chan 🤠

seungcheol: "i love you i love you i love you" "SAY IT BACK WTH" gets all pouty dkxhsjhb would also attempt to talk to you seriously about whatever is going on with your life <//3 big believer of a drunk persons words are a sober persons thoughts

jeonghan: "ha i knew u were a lightweight" "bet u can't take one more shot" DEADASS what an enabler u both would already be drunk and he'd still be challenging u to drink more. the competitiveness just jumps out i guess???? but it would be a fun night. 50% chance of tears if the mood is right

joshua: stopppppp he'd be holding ur hand or leaning his head on ur shoulder i know u all saw that tipsy dingo live. he'd probably also just be muttering stuff under his breath or singing along to whatever song is in the background he is my king of sitting pretty wherever and whenever he'd also be making sure ur ok

wonwoo: ok depending on the vibe he either gets even more quiet or hes literally just laughing at everything im gonna cry diusfkghjfj,cm (sorry that was my bias talking) like if it's a drinking situation where deep conversations are happening he's probably really internalizing everything going on and paying attention to whoever is speaking so he really remembers the moment but if its a fun drinking time he's 100% laughing at whoever tf is acting up and throwing sum jokes in here and there:/ HES TRYING HIS BEST OKAY

woozi: yeaaaaaaaa we got our resident sentimental drunk here 🤠 like he's kinda like wonwoo in the sense that he's really basking in the moment and noticing every detail about what's happening and who he's with but he's really just... a soft guy when he's drunk i think he'd be the type to take out his phone in the middle of the night to just write about how he feels/drunk thoughts in his notes just so he could think abt it when he's sober or potentially get inspiration from it :( brings up nice past memories n all... LEE JIHOON I LOVE YOU

minghao: he's just giggling the entire time and maybe just a lil more snarky... "sorry? did u say something? i couldn't hear u over the shot i poured out for u that u didn't take" would also initiate several group toasts and takes pics of u/whoever he's with to capture the moment. becomes more vocal abt his feelings in general actually. would 10/10 want to get drunk with minghao

mingyu: hes a flirty drunk stop it rn. opens all ur bottles/cans for u and hands it back to u with a wink, takes shots for u, has his arm draped across ur seat.... HES JUST NATURALLY LIKE THAT OK PHYSICAL TOUCH IS HIS LOVE LANGUAGE :/ its just even more pronounced when hes intoxicated. asks u ever so often if ur ok if u need water :/ "i'll take the shot for u just remember u owe me something" MOVE!!!!!!!!! but he's v receptive of u and that translates in how caring he is... ugh what a man

seokmin: byeeeee hes also so touchy. hes showering u with kisses and hugs. "i actually LOVE you though!!!!!! return my love!!!!" ur in for a long night if u put him and hoshi together. im being serious good luck. but he's suddenly down to do anything now - cook a feast? go night swimming? karaoke? he's ur guy. would not stop letting u know how much he appreciates and loves u:/ romantic or not:/ if hes sweet sober hes even more drunk:(

seungkwan: omfg he nags at u so much "ANOTHER SHOT?? REALLY???" "WHY ARE U ASSUMING I WANT TO TAKE ANOTHER SHOT" then takes the shot anyway lmao he'd be easier to fool into doing smth stupid to make everyone laugh bec he just wants good vibes n good memories :/ and he's even more doting on whoever he's with like he would 100% get u water and u could trust him with anything. my dream wingman for real he would know how ur feeling and how the night is going without any words needed. he is ESSENTIAL

vernon: he's the one finishing all of the snacks on the table while everyone is talking. he is pure vibes. nodding his head to whatever music is playing in the background and listening to the conversations going on. inputs here and there but hes happier going with whatever vibe is of the night. great person to have beside u imo if u wanna go crazy he'll jump with u if u wanna sit down and talk he'll do that too. might even share a cig with u if the mood calls for it. vernon is on my night out dream team as well

dino: THE LIFE OF THE PARTY!!!! like he doesn't even ask to be it -- he just naturally draws attention and everyone loves playing with him jiskfdhrkd "guys ive literally been the only one taking shots this isnt fair" "WHAT DO U MEAN I LOST THE GAME I HAVENT PLAYED" but he just goes with it because he wants a good time. however as the night progresses and the group gets smaller n smaller he starts becoming serious lee chan and tries to heart to heart with whoever is there. :/ he has a lot of valuable thoughts to let out so whoever is with him pls LISTEN!
