Which do you prefer? Handwritten notes or digital notes? Writing digitally allows you to make mistakes and try out different things without consequence, but handwriting your notes gives you the instant gratification of holding them in your hands. But at the same time, digital notes saves paper and saves the environment.
(also quick sorry for my hiatus!)

second last set of exams done (before wace exams) but I feel like I couldn’t focus at all, and I was just so exhausted and I crumbled under all the pressure (under everyone’s expectations) and the constant underlying stress and i just-

I feel so incompetent and discouraged after these exams,,, but oh well! hard work never betrays you right? we’ll just have to rebound back from the other problems, learn from them (to be a better and more advanced person) and to start anew.
let’s work towards our goal and to get that grade we deserve! continue to be resilient!
p.s. I’ve had a residing headache for the past two weeks - I don’t think that’s any good for concentration and what not.

An explanation (of sorts) of Logarithms
For a friend. Note that I use log() to represent the common log, log with base 10.
Logarithms can be thought of kinda like this: Take a number, express it in scientific notation, and look at the exponent. If you have a function that just does that, that's the integer part of the log with base 10. If you think about rounding numbers down to the order of magnitude, so m × 10^n just becomes 10^n, and work with math that way: 10^a × 10^b = 10^(a+b)
Logarithms were invented as a kind of mathematical trick so people wouldn't have to spell out the 10^ part all the time. Instead of saying 10^2 × 10^4 = 10^6, we just say 2+4=6. But there's more to it than that. People realized that you didn't have to have exact powers of 10 (or any base for that matter) for this to work.
So say you wanna multiply 8675 by 309. There's some number, that when you raise to the the power of that number, you get 8675. Let's call this log(8675), such that 10^log(8675) = 8675. Similarly, there's a number called log(309) such that 10^log(309) = 309. So, in the olden days, to find 8675×309, you'd look up in a table log(8675) and log(309) and add them together.
Unfortunately, a log table won't have values that go that high. But there's another trick! Remember how we said that it's pretty much reverse scientific notation? That means 8675 = 8.675×10^3, so log(8675) = log(8.675×10^3), and because 10^a × 10^b = 10^(a+b), then log(a×b) = log(a) + log(b), so log(8675) = log(8.675) + log(10^3) = log(8.675) + 3. Similarly so for log(309).
So, in the end, we find that log(8675×309) = log(8675) + log(309) = log(8.675×10^3) + log(3.09×10^2) = 3 + 2 + log(8.675) + log(3.09) = 5+0.938269+0.489958 = 6.428227, and 10^6.428227 ≈ 2680575 = 8675×309.
Nowadays, people use calculators, so you don't need to memorize this algorithm for logarithms, but it illustrates the basic mechanism. There's also the change of base formula, for when you're expressing things in powers other than 10 (such as 2, which is useful in computer science, or e, which is useful all throughout math). If anyone wants that, I’ll be happy to expand this, once I review the algebra.
