Jungwon watches as a raindrop splatters onto the living room window from his spot on the burgundy couch, a blanket haphazardly thrown over his legs. The voices of the characters of the random movie you had chosen on Netflix drone on in the background as he follows the path of the raindrop. It flows down before splitting apart into smaller drops, eventually coming together again, but not wholly. His observation of the raindrop is interrupted as you walk back into the room, a bowl of buttery popcorn in your hands.

You’re wearing one of his hoodies, the splash of blue and orange contrasting with your black sweatpants. Jungwon’s heart squeezes at the sight of you in his clothing and he resists the urge to grab his phone and take a million pictures of you. You would probably not appreciate that and just think he’s a creep, which is not an unreasonable conclusion.

You’re not aware of his feelings for you and if Jungwon had his way, you would never be aware of them. The two of you were friends before anything else and he couldn’t risk destroying the precious friendship you both have had since the day you met in 2nd grade. He still remembers the day clearly, as if it had only happened yesterday.

“Ew! No, you can’t play with us! Your toys are old ugly.” The little boy stuck his tongue out at you before running away, his minions following right behind him. Jungwon watched from a little ways away as you turned around and started to wipe your eyes. Even at your young age, you hated letting people see you cry. Jungwon summoned all the courage he had in his 7-year-old body and walked towards you.

“If you want, I can beat them up,” he said timidly, not sure if you would like someone talking to you right now. He just wanted to cheer you up a bit. Your head snapped up at the sound of his voice and your eyes widened as you realized that he was talking to you. You and your family had just moved to town and you hadn’t been able to make any friends so it was a surprise to you that he had approached you. “I mean, I just started taekwondo but I’m gonna get better and I’ll kick all their butts for being mean to you.” He had a determined expression that looked so ridiculous on his chubby-cheeked face that you burst into giggles.

A fierce blush crept onto his face as he watched you laugh, your eyes that were filled with tears moments ago, were now lit up with happiness and what he later found out was relief. Little did he know that from that very moment, a seed planted itself in his heart and wouldn’t stop growing and growing until it fully bloomed into a beautiful flower.

“Hello? HELLO? Earth to Jungwon!?” You were waving your hand in his face and practically screaming in his ear when Jungwon came back to the present, snapped out of the pleasant memories. He winced and quickly covered his ears before you started actually screaming which had happened once too often. You snickered as you realized what he had done and plopped back down on the couch, getting comfortable. You squirmed until you found that one perfect spot and then nudged your legs onto Jungwon’s lap as if they belonged there.

Which they did. Just as you belonged in Jungwon’s heart. Jungwon sighed internally before focusing his attention on the rom-com playing on the TV. The main character had just confessed his love to the female lead and by the looks of it, she reciprocated his feelings. Jungwon could only wish that that would happen to him, but it was less than likely. You had never shown any interest in him before and no matter how many times his friends try to convince him to tell you of his feelings, he never will. It’s one risk he’s not willing to take.

While he is lost in his thoughts once again, Jungwon doesn’t notice the way that you’re looking at him. If he had been paying attention, he would see that you look at him the same way he looks at you when you’re not looking. Jungwon thinks that you don’t have feelings for him, but he’s completely wrong.

You’re in love with him.

And you know he’s in love with you. Although he tries hard to keep his feelings in check, it’s painfully obvious to you and everybody around you that he has more than platonic feelings for you. When you first learned of Jungwon’s crush on you, you were overjoyed that he returned your feelings, and you waited and waited for the moment that he would confess to you. Alas, it’s been 5 months and he still hasn’t said anything. Your eyebrows furrow in frustration just thinking about it.

God, if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself. Or whatever the fucking saying is.

“Hey, Jungwon,” you say innocently. Right as he turns to you, you grab his face with both of your hands and plant one on him. A big fat smooch that is honestly more of a pressing of lips than a kiss. But that doesn’t matter because the awestruck look on Jungwon’s face as you pull away reassures you of a redo.

1) My first impression of them

Okay, don't crucify me for this but-

Despite William being lauded as the strongest Magic Knight Captain/the only closest to being Wizard King, he didn't leave that strong of an impression on me early on. He was masked and mysterious but he was somewhere in the background for the longest time. His presence only really stuck when he revealed his curse (yeah, sorry it took me that long) and I was like "KAGAYA UBUYASHIKI?! What're you doing here?!"/j

But also I quietly tucked him in the back of my brain because the reveal made it clear to me that he would be important in the future. I still didn't see the betrayal coming though because I'm very... I guess I'm trusting of characters.

7) A quote of them that you remember

William's speech to Julius, or well, the tail end of it.

"Both you and my friend are precious to me. I can't choose one of you. And so.. The two of you will have to choose for me."

It speaks to William's strength of loyalty towards Julius and Patry. But the quote also speaks to his weakness of being unable to choose (though who am I to talk when I have Josele). It's part of his tragedy. To love two people who walk completely different paths. Both loves are selfless in a way, as William's only real goal is to help Julius and Patry reach their own goals.

19) The most random ship you've seen people have with them

Honestly, I can't say that any of the ships I've seen for William are completely random.

I've seen Mereo x William as a crack ship which is a weird dynamic but "date the guy who helped someone disarm your brother" isn't the worst ship dynamic./lh I mean even William x Zenon doesn't feel random (to me) since it just plays along with something like Dante x Yami.

Spending New Years Day with the Jujutsu Kaisen characters (headcanons + short fic)

Warnings: a little ooc sukuna (because I love making him a softie for y/n)

A/N: Hiiii this is my very first fan fic so I hope you enjoy it! Happy New Year everyone!

Characters: Itadori Yuuji, Fushiguro Megumi, Kugisaki Nobara, Gojo Satoru, Nanami Kento, Ryomen Sukuna x GN reader (Sukuna has his own body in this but isn't in his OG form)

Itadori Yuuji

- Is super hyper and enthusiastic

- Starts preparing snacks and drinks hours before the countdown

- Of course you help him because you love spending time with him

- Gets permission from Gojo for you two to use the roof to watch the fireworks from the dorms

- Literally brings a picnic mat and basket to the roof at 11.30 pm

- When it hits midnight, he hugs you really tightly and kisses your forehead

- Under the fireworks, he presses his forehead against yours and whispers, "I love you y/n"

- After you two are done watching the fireworks and having a picnic on the roof, he brings you back to his dorm and you two start binge watching movies and shows.

- You two spend the rest of the day going out to arcades to have some fun on the first day of the new year

"Yuu! It's almost midnight!" you shout as you run up to him. He smiles and holds your hand. "Yeah almost a new year huh," he says, "another year to make memories with my dear y/n."

You blush and Yuuji laughs at your flustered expression, kissing your lips for the last time that year.

Happy New Year!"

As the fireworks went off in the background, Yuuji hugged you to his chest and leaned down to kiss your forehead. Pressing his forehead against yours, he whispers, "I love you y/n my precious."

You smile softly and kiss his lips. He kisses back, the two of you completely lost in the moment. "I love you too. So so much," you reply. Yuuji's eyes light up and he pulls you in closer to him as you admire the last of the fireworks together.

Fushiguro Megumi

- Didn't really plan anything special but after seeing how excited you were over the fireworks at midnight, he promised to watch them with you.

- Sets up his dorm with random things the two of you like, like plushies, flowers etc

- Makes the two of you hot drinks and plays music from your shared playlist

- Cuddles you while reading his book just before midnight

- When it strikes midnight and the fireworks start, he closes his book and smiles at you

- "Happy New Year, y/n," he says while hugging you to his chest

- "Happy New Year 'gumi," you reply, kissing his cheek

- His whole face flushes red, making you giggle

- Spends the rest of the day with you in his room, reading and playing with his shikigami

"Look look! It's almost midnight 'gumi!" you say excitedly while your boyfriend continues reading his book. He hums in acknowledgement and hands you a cup of f/d. He summons his demon dogs for you both to cuddle just as midnight strikes and the fireworks start.

"Happy New Year y/n," Megumi says as he hugs you to his chest.

"Happy New Year 'gumi! I love you so much pretty boy'" you reply cheekily as you kiss his cheek.

You look up to see his whole face flushed red, leaving you a giggly mess as he ruffles your hair.

"I love you too, my little cutie," he says, barely audible but loud enough for you to hear. You stretch your arms out, inviting the two demon dogs sitting at the edge of the bed to join you and your boyfriend in a group hug. The demon dogs howl in happiness as you and Megumi cuddle with them, ruffling their fur and patting their heads.

Kugisaki Nobara

- Another really excited one

- She can't wait to count down to the new year with you

- Starts a countdown party at 8 pm, with snacks, music and magazines

- You give her a manicure after she does your hair for you

- The two of you chill and eat while reading the fashion magazines she brought

- After a while she gets bored and starts a pillow fight with you

- You two were having so much fun that you didn't even notice it was midnight until the fireworks started

- She pouts a little because she didn't get to count down to the new year but you giggle at her before kissing her cheek to cheer her up

- She smiles and holds your hand while you two wish each other a happy new year.

- Spends the rest of the day going around town to shop with you.

"Gotcha!" Nobara giggles as she throws the pillow at you. You laugh and throw it back at her just as the sound of fireworks went off in the background.

"Awww I didn't get to count down with you," she says, pouting slightly. You smile at how cute your girlfriend looked and kiss her cheek in hopes of cheering her up. It works of course, as it always does, and she holds your hand while snuggling up to you.

"Happy New Year, princess. Love you," you say, squeezing her hand lightly.

"Happy New Year babe. I love you too," she replies as you both stare out of the window, admiring the fireworks illuminating the sky.

Gojo Satoru

- Went out shopping with you the day before and bought wayyyy too many sweets

- Claims that it is crucial for him to have sweets while counting down and that it must be his first activity of the new year

- He sets up the living room of your shared apartment with lots of cushions and creates a pillow fort while you organise the mountain of sweets he bought

- After choosing which sweets he wants, he brings them to the table along with both your favourite drinks

- Goes out to the balcony with you to watch the fireworks, 2 packets of mochi in his hand

- When the fireworks start, he wastes no time in pressing his lips to yours

- After the heated kiss, he hands you one of the mochi and the two of you eat together while looking at the view

- Tells you he loves you so so much over and over again, kissing you after each time

- After you two go back into the house, he starts a sweet party and watches movies with you till 3 am

- Spends the rest of the day with you going to buy more sweets since he claims that the party "caused his stock to run dry"

"Satoru! Hurry and come out here! The fireworks are starting soon!" you call out from the balcony of your shared apartment. He grabs two packs of mochi from the table and places them in the pockets of his sweatpants before joining you, just in time for the fireworks.

You admired the fireworks, clearly awe-stricken. Your boyfriend smiles at the wonder in your eyes and grabs your hand, pulling you towards him.

"Happy New Y-" you get cut off by his lips on yours, the kiss short but passionate. He laughs at your shocked face after pulling back and hands you one of the mochi. "Happy New Year, my little mochi," he says, kissing your forehead.

"Happy New Year you giant man-child," you smirk as he places his hand to heart, pretending to be offended. You hug him tightly as the fireworks end. The two of you spend a few more minutes on the balcony, munching on the mochi while admiring the view of the city, in the warmth and presence of each other.

Nanami Kento

- To him it was any other day

- Until you started screaming about it days before

- The joy and excitement in your voice made him think that he had to do something special for the two of you that day

- He brings you to a fancy restaurant at the top of a high rise building, giving you the perfect view of the city

- Afterwards, he brings you to a park

- Little did you know that the view of the fireworks from the park was the absolute best

- The moment it strikes midnight, he hugs you from behind so that you can see the fireworks while getting hugged by him

- Kisses the top of your head and wraps his arms around you

- The two of you watch the fireworks together in awe before heading home to your shared apartment and spending the rest of the day watching shows at home.

"Hold on Kento where are you bringing me?" you ask your boyfriend while he pulls you to a nearby park. "Kento the fireworks-" you start but he continues walking ahead. You wanted to see the New Year fireworks really badly but your boyfriend started to pull you to a park surrounded by high-rise buildings. You started to doubt if he really cared until he stopped in the middle of the park just as it struck midnight.

The view was spectacular. The fireworks were visible over all the buildings and the light from them illuminated both of your faces. Nanami wraps his arms around you and kisses the top of your head while you gaze at the fireworks.

"Happy New Year y/n my love. Hope you like the view. I love you," he whispers. You start to tear up because of just how perfect this was, how perfect your boyfriend was and how much you love him.

"Happy New Year. I love you my dear. And the view too of course," you say as you kiss his lips, the last firework launching into the sky.

Ryomen Sukuna

- Literally doesn't care

- Until you tell him that there would be fireworks at night and begged him to join you in ushering in the new year

- Rejected the idea until he saw you pouting

- He didn't plan much but made sure that the two of you were wearing matching clothes just before midnight

- Stands with you on the balcony of your apartment while complaining about how boring it was to count down and all

- Deep down, he was planning to do something to you the moment the new year arrived

- The moment the fireworks started, you turned to wish him a happy new year but he pulled you into a heated and passionate kiss

- Every time you tried escape from his kiss, his grip on your waists would tighten and the kiss would get even more heated

- Ends up kissing you till the end of the fireworks, making you hit him lightly for not letting you watch the fireworks

- Spends the whole day going out to wherever you want to go to make it up to you

"Sukuna! The fireworks are starting soon!" you exclaim as you poke the cheek of your boyfriend lightly. He rolled his eyes but broke into a small smile, ruffling your hair lightly. You started counting down excitedly, Sukuna's gaze fixated on you.

Finally, the fireworks were shot into the sky, painting the sky in beautiful bright patterns. Sukuna looked at the fireworks with you, hand in hand, kind of understanding why you were so excited about it. It really was beautiful and stunning. You look over at Sukuna, his eyes shining with happiness.

Just as you are about to wish him a happy new year, he pulled you into a heated and passionate kiss. The kiss lasted forever in your opinion, and every time you tried to pull back, Sukuna would only pull you back closer. Not that you didn't enjoy it. By the time he pulled back, the fireworks ended. "Awwww the fireworks are over. All thanks to a certain someone who kissed me throughout the whole thing," you send a playful glare at Sukuna.

"Mhm but I love you too much," he grins as you poke his chest as revenge.

"I love you too. That probably was the best fireworks display I ever saw, just because you were there," you reply, pressing your face into his chest.

What I Thought About "Yesterday's Lie" from The Owl House

Salutations, random people on the internet who absolutely won’t read this! I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons!

Here it is! The midseason finale of The Owl House Season Two! An episode featuring Luz going back to the human realm, is hyped up to heaven about how painful it'll be for the audience, and features more anxiety by how Creepy Luz is a thing. And BOOOOOOOOY howdy were fans not ready for this. I'm sure as hell not ready for when I wrote this intro at *checks time* thirty minutes before watching the official premier. Yup, the words you're reading right now are from me in the past, when everything was still pure and simple. Whereas future me is still probably destroyed by the events that transpired. Isn't that right, future me?

Future Me: Actually, it wasn’t that bad. The ending hurt, sure, but other than that, it wasn’t too painful.

Wow, that is some neat input! At least, I think it was. I wouldn't know because I literally wrote that after watching the episode. With the words you're currently reading being written at *checks time* twenty-six minutes before the premier...this whole intro is confusing, isn't it, future me?

Future Me: Sure is.

Yeah, it's definitely confusing. In any case, let's dive into this spoiler-filled review as we find out together just how painful this episode was! Take it away, future me!

Future Me: Will do! Major spoilers ahead, folks!

Now, let’s review, shall we?

WHAT I LIKED

Luz’s Room: We only see it for a short time, but everything about it just screams Luz. The pile of weird-looking stuffed animals, the witch hat in the center of the floor, and the fact that she has bunk beds, a single child's dream (Or so I've heard). It's a small thing, but I love it.

Vee: Here she is! The character previously dubbed Creepy Luz who now turns out to be yet another new addition to the ever-growing list of characters that we, as a fandom, would give our lives for. Because holy s**t was Vee the best type of expectation subversion. Showing us all the ominous ways of how she basically took Luz's place made fans assume that Vee was an evil doppelganger. Turns out, she was just a tortured soul that was desperate to live a new and better life and lucked out in finding Luz's. What Vee does is...questionable at best, but seeing what she went through with the experiments Belos pulled on her, you understand why she would do it. And I personally love it's that same background information that makes Vee resentful of Luz of all people. Luz's life is a relative dream come true, and running away from that would be insane to someone who spent most of their existence through imprisonment and experimentation. It's an intriguing point of view, even though it's admittingly flawed given how it's mostly Camila that seemingly made Luz's life bearable. But the flaws don't matter. What matters is that you can see where Vee is coming from, and to me, personally, I think she's understandable enough to make me root for her to have some kind of happy ending. Whether as Luz or as herself, I'm hopeful to see Vee get some semblance of peace.

Camila: *Round of applause* Don't mind me! Just taking the time to love how all them sons of b**hes who thought Camila was a bad mom are now heavily invalidated. 'Cause, guess what? Camila is a fantastic mother, both to her daughter and her daughter's doppelganger! Allow me to walk you through the highlights:

How Camila looks like she’s not okay with the fact that "Luz" is clearing out her weird stuff, seemingly acting too different to the Luz she knows. Added to the fact that Camila doesn't like it.

How Camila drove Luz to camp whether than letting her take the bus

The fact that Camila takes that box of junk back in, not willing to part with the tin foil sculpture Luz made.

The way she was willing to play along with the game she thought Luz was doing, supporting her daughter's creative mind that Camila admits to being glad to see.

And, best of all, the willingness Camila had to help this poor creature, despite the lies it lived.

It's that last part I really want to touch upon, though. Because an action like that shows just how much Luz's heart comes from Camila. The kindness and generosity of helping this poor creature, who she has every right to run out on, proves how Luz learned to be everything she is today through Camila's own loving heart. Vee was scared and hurt, and the second Camila saw that she was then more than willing to help because of it. It's something that Luz would do, and it proves that even though Camila didn't exactly get everything right, she's still a great mom where it counts.

“A new life”: A perfect line.

Initially, it makes audiences think that it has everything to do with replacing Luz. It's only through future context that we know it's about escaping the s**t show Vee once lived through that it's clear she's talking about starting over. It hits us with intrigue on the first viewing, only to hit harder with the feels during a second. Really well-done.

Luz in the Mirror: A well-done surprise that makes fans curious about how this even happen in the first place. Kudos to you, writers.

The New Portal: I don't mind that they found a way to build this off-screen. Showing Luz and the gang slowly building a new portal would have been a little too tedious to watch, and it's so much better to just start this episode out with it. Besides, maybe we'll get the slow and steadier version now that we've seen how quickly building one might not have been the best way to go, given how fast that thing fell apart.

Luz Between Dimensions: I have no clue what the hell that place she was in is called, but it's awesome! The overall design of the realm is the correct type of unsettling, like it's oozing with mystery, but it's somewhere that you probably don't want to be in for too long. Whoever designed it deserves all of the credit because I don't want to even think about all the hard work that went into making this look as well-made as it was.

Luz Resisting to See Amity: What? Luz and Amity are adorable, and seeing Luz's immediate thought about seeing Amity makes my shipping heart scream with glee. Don't judge me!

Hiding Luz’s Dad’s Face: Well, that was a fun story while it lasted.

So, it turns out that Luz's dad really was a part of Luz's and Camila's life at some point, but not anymore. As for why remains to be seen, as we don't really know yet if we'll see him make an appearance. I'd say that the odds are high that he will, given how much of a point this episode made about keeping his face hidden. Shows don't usually do that unless the goal is to hype up some official reveal, and I can't wait to see what comes of it.

Luz Telling Herself to Count to Five: Hey, more evidence for how I relate to Luz! I know how it feels to be all panicky about a specific situation, and I only got better when I took the time to calm down for a bit. Sometimes, I even tried the "count to x" method that Luz used...it never worked, primarily because it made me feel worse when people told me to do it, but I still tried it! Plus, there's also some narrative foreshadowing when after Luz says five, the realm shows her Vee, or Number V, which is a pretty cool detail you'll notice on a rewatch.

Luz Helping Vee: I gave Camila praise for helping Vee in the end, but that doesn't abstain Luz from her own set of recognition. The second that Luz realized that Vee wasn't really a threat and is far from evil, our favorite human does what she can to help and even makes a deal where they're both happy. Because, of course, Luz is that perfect of a protagonist who is more than willing to help others in need. And it's why we love her so.

Looking for Magic that Eda Left Behind: A pretty cool idea that gives Luz and Vee a chance to bond and giving us an insight into Eda's past antics and misadventures in the human realm. Not much I can add to it, though.

Gravesfield: It's surprisingly not as jarring as I thought it would be to spend an episode in the human realm. I thought for sure, after all that time in the Boiling Isles, there would be something off about walking around a normal environment for a change. Turns out, it's almost easy to get used to. Or, for me, it is.

But I will say that there's this neat use of colors when comparing Gravesfield with the Boiling Isles. In Gravesfield, the coloring looks dulled down and standard, which is a stark contrast to the bright vibrancy of everything we've seen in the Boiling Isles. It's a subtle way of showing how things are different, aside from the major discrepancies we could come to expect. And I think that's why I appreciate it much more.

Eda’s Called Herself Marylynn in the Human Realm: Hang on...hang on...do you mean to tell me that the crack theory about Eda being Stan's ex-wife is actually true?

...

...What even is this show?!

Vee Making Friends with Camp Members: This shows the most apparent difference between Luz and Vee. Where we see Luz is already fearing the many ways that could go wrong with interacting with teens, Vee revealed that she adapted to her situation and had a chance to make friends. The implications of this are worth discussing another time, but for now, I'll say that it's pretty intriguing that we gain this much insight into both Luz and Vee through such a small thing.

Belos Wanting to Learn How Basilisks can Drain Magic: ...Didn't Raine say that Belos was taking away magic? If so, I think we can figure out how he's doing it. The question now is: Why?

Jacob (The Curator Guy): This guy was a riot. At first, Jacob seemed like a threat with the way he trapped Vee and was apparently stocking her, but the second he goes off about his conspiracy theories, it becomes clear what type of character he is. And was it a blast seeing how much of a crackpot this man is. It wasn't cool seeing him wanting to dissect the precious angel that is Vee, but I still chuckle about things like his "Flat Eather's Certificate." So while he's not that much of a threat, he's still fun to watch.

The Owl Beast was in the Human Realm: ...How did that happen? When did it happen? And how the hell did Eda get out of a situation like that?! Who knows, but it's still a shocking piece of news to learn.

Luz Telling Camila the Truth: Hey, she faced her fear after all! Although, the results aren't as pleasant as when Amity faced her fear two weeks ago.

Camila is a Veterinarian: ...One insignificant reveal...managed to destroy so many fanfics. I mean, we probably shouldn't have just assumed Camila was a nurse...but what the f**k else were we supposed to think?! Sorry for seeing the scrubs, and the first thing that came to my mind was "nurse" and not "vet."

By the way, that had to have been intentional, right? There's no way that Dana Terrace didn't think we'd assume Camila was a nurse. She'd had to have put off a reveal like that just to trip up her fans. And if that's the case, then that is a major d**k move...but that's why I mildly respect it.

Two Human Brothers went to the Demon Realm: Turns out we don't have to be in the Boiling Isles to learn more about it. Because now we have more information about how two humans were taken to the Isles with the help of a witch, thus setting up a grander reveal if it turns out that one of the humans was Philip and the witch was Belos. Because if that's true...then there's more of a history between those two than we thought.

Jacob has a Training Wand: This helps me believe that it's highly likely for Jacob to make a return and to have a power boost for when he does. After all, focussing all that attention on the training wand is way too convenient for it not to come up again in the future. Meaning we're most likely going to get more pain from Jacob if he shows up again.

Camila Beats the Crap out of Jacob for Vee: ...Writers, don't make me choose between Camila and Eda on who's the better cartoon mom. I know Eda's technically not a mom...BUT I STILL DON'T WANT TO CHOOSE DAMNIT!

Also, the sandal...just...

Camila and Luz’s Talk in the Rain: Ooooooooh, I was not ready for this...

I wasn't ready for the crying.

I wasn't ready for the hurt in Camila's eyes when she found out Luz chose to stay in the Boiling Isles.

I wasn't ready for Camila asking if Luz hates being with her that much.

I wasn't ready for Luz profusely stating how it was never Camila's fault.

I was not ready for Camila to tell Luz that she'll try to do better.

And I definitely was not ready for Luz to barely have enough time to promise that she'll come back.

This episode wasn't the twenty-two minutes of nonstop angst that I thought it was going to be...but this short scene more than make up for it.

Luz Tries to Stay Strong: Yet another thing she unwittingly learned from Camila. Camila tried to keep a brave face when Vee was with her and Luz, most likely not wanting to tear either of them down in the process. Luz does the same thing here as she avoids talking about the details of what went down in her sort-of journey back home. And seeing her clearly fake smile slowly droop into an uncertain frown, it uh...it definitely tore me up inside.

WHAT I DISLIKED

I want to say it's perfect, but there's one major issue that really bogs this episode down.

Continuity Error in How Vee Replaced Luz: Having Vee take Luz's place the same day Luz appeared in the Isles is a smart idea on paper...if it wasn't for the fact that it's impossible.

Because Eda closed the portal door the second that she saw Luz, meaning that there's no way for Vee to go to the human realm. It's a major plothole that makes no sense, and it might just be the first time ever that this series wasn't so closely knit with its story. Which ends up taking a dive in quality in the process.

IN CONCLUSION

I'd say that "Yesterday's Lie" is an A-. Everything about Luz, Vee, and Camila is incredible, combined into a story that ends in tragedy and uncertainty for the future. That plothole may drag things down a bit, but everything else is handled so well that I'm not lying when I say it's easy to forgive and forget.

(And that's ten episodes in a row without a single stinker. HOW THE F**K DOES THIS SEASON KEEP WINNING?!)

sypnosis: It was an accident that (Y/N) met a certain tall, blonde male; a memory she isn't fond of remembering, but it is where it all started. And ever since, she magically makes her to his path. The image of the bespectacled man dwelled in her mind more than she thought. Tsukishima pushed away his softer emotions and denied their existence, or at least that's what he told himself. But then, he couldn't believe that this girl he labeled as a clumsy, unlucky creature who smashed his glasses is slowly bringing these strange emotions back to him. She might be irritating and dumb sometimes, but he couldn't get himself to completely hate her. Either that destiny was stupid, or he was blessed or cursed.

"Oh, the midget stalker is here."

"You again?! Seriously, I think it's you who's following me!"

(Y/N)'s eyebrows creased further in irritation. "Why do you keep mentioning my height?!"

"It was you who started it. Anyways, can you shut up? Do you know that you're in a library?"

She didn't retort back and simply sat on the chair with her arms crossed. It was a fine day then —BOOM— this giant decided to appear out of nowhere. She was trying to forget this person who's associated with some of her embarrassing moments but those just got smashed back to her mind. (Y/N) sighed and pulled a book at the bottom of the stack to start reading, but noticed that the blondie is still standing near the edge of the table, hesitating to sit down while glancing somewhere and back to her.

"What?" (Y/N) frowned.

"Why am I unnecessarily stuck with you on this table?" He sighed, pulling out the chair.

"Because all of the tables here are taken? If you're worried about your glasses being knocked off, don't worry, I won't do anything reckless anymore."

"That's a nice reassurance," He settled down and brought out his studying materials.

Both of them shared the table in the crowded library. Ignoring the people, between them was a silent atmosphere. No one was talking as they both minded their own studies; he was reading quietly and turning pages of a huge book while (Y/N) wrote key points from the printed work and highlighting her notes. Sometimes, the other would leave to return books to their shelves and came back with new stacks. This went on for a few hours until her pen ran out of ink. She scribbled at the back of her notebook in hopes that the ink just got stuck, to no avail. She sighed, resting her head on the notebook. But she really needed to take down notes for her upcoming entrance exam.

"Hey." (Y/N) reluctantly said.

The blonde male looked at her, confirming if he's being called, "What?"

"I'm sorry to interrupt your business but... do you have a spare pen?"

He stared at her with a straight face and placed his chin on the top of his knuckles, implying his refusal to lend one.

(Y/N)'s mentally gritted her teeth. I'm just going to borrow a pen and he's making it hard for me?!

Swallowing her pride, she said, "Look, I need to finish my notes. I'll return it to you right away when I'm done. I promise. Please?"

He scoffed as brought out a pen, "An inkless pen is all it takes for you to become a less lively puppy? You better keep your promise."

A puppy?! "You didn't need to compare me to a puppy but, thanks."

She continued her work but her focus was a bit shaken. This happens whenever she's interrupted or took a break away from writing. Soon, her focus vanished and boredom took over. She tried to read a book to review ideas but her brain won't cooperate. She groaned, her head and arms fell to the table again. The blonde saw but chose to ignore her.

She closed her eyes for a second, however, her gaze fell to the blank paper in front of her face. Her hands are itching to do something other than reviewing and writing, so she put down the pen she borrowed and took a pencil out of her pocket. She placed a pile of books near her notebook so that the male won't notice what she's doing. There, she started to sketch the base of the figure.

She would observe the four-eyed guy who's busy reading some sort of article while taking notes. He has a calm expression on his face rather than an irritated scowl or a mocking grin he usually has. He wears a long blazer and probably a long-sleeved shirt inside. His blonde hair is short yet the edges are a bit curly and his upper eyelashes are prominently long. This was the first time she stared at the jerk's face who she kept bumping into random places that irked the hell out of her, but for some reason, she felt that she had seen this person before the accident in the park, albeit she doesn't know where. (Y/N) came to a conclusion; he was a little good-looking.

The girl looked back to her drawing and shook her head at her own ideas. I can't believe I actually thought that this guy is handsome. How can such a mean creature be blessed with such looks?! Ugh, don't mind, (Y/N). I'm only drawing him because he seems like a great canvas subject, it's not like I haven't done this to other people before...

She went on drawing and drew details to the sketch similar to the boy in front of her. To make the drawing more accurate, she stole small glances at him. She kept things low key because it'll be another embarrassing event if he found out what she's doing. She made the lines smoother in one swift move. The hair and clothes' folds are already well-drawn while she focuses on the detail of his eyes and glasses. She was about to shade when the male finally caught her.

"What is it?" He questioned, closing his book with a low voice and creased eyebrows.

(Y/N) froze on the spot. As much as she doesn't like it, she maintained eye contact with him, thinking of the best alibi that he couldn't argue with. Then, she remembered that she doesn't know his name.

"Uhm... nothing. I was just wondering if you have a name." While talking, her finger subtly moved to grab the nearest object it could get to cover her drawing.

"I have, but why would I mention it to you?" He cooly replied.

"It's alright. I'm not asking you to. Unless you want to be referred to as he/him or the tall, blonde glasses guy all the time?" (Y/N) countered.

He silently turned a page before answering, "Well, it's not like we'll meet every day."

"Oh," was her only reply. Looks like he will stay a nameless guy in her head for a long time. She was about to get back to her business when he spoke.

"Tsukishima Kei."

(Y/N) looked at him in surprise. "I'm not going to repeat it." He added.

She smiled, having clearly heard it right away. "Can you tell me how it is written?"

He looked at her to check for ill intentions but found nothing in her eyes. He hesitantly wrote the characters of his name on a piece of paper.

"I'm (L/N) (Y/N), nice to meet you again, Tsukishima-san." She'd like to initiate a handshake for peacemaking, but she knows how he'd only decline it. She wrote her name for him to see as well.

Tsukishima Kei. She repeated in her mind. What a nice name.

With a notebook covering the upper portion of the paper where she had drawn his portrait, she wrote his name at the bottom. She proceeded to the shading and background features. Backgrounds are one of the things she hates in art because it takes too long to draw one compared to the subject itself. Luckily it's only a sketch so she won't have to suffer. Although she doesn't know if Tsukishima had seen whatever she's doing so she's still cautious. She peered at him for the nth time so she could distract his peripheral vision. Maybe to test the social initiative skills she hasn't used for a long time too.

"Uhh, can I ask something?" She started.

"Hm?" He responded without taking his eyes off the page.

"What school are you from?"

"Amemaru Middle School."

(Y/N) hummed, thinking of another question, "Then, what school are you enrolling to? It must be an upper class one since you had to read those large books and all."

"Not really," Tsukishima closed the book, "I plan to go to Karasuno High School. They may not have a difficult entrance exam, but these readings are for decent grades and some stock knowledge."

"Decent grades, huh... you look like you could achieve more though. I'm pretty sure you'll ace it." She answered, "I was from Kitagawa Dai Ichi. I'm taking an exam in Shiratorizawa soon."

"You're going to that high-class academy? I see, I failed to notice that because you don't look like one. Have fun clashing with other elites there."

"Elites? What are you talking about, you still believe there's such a hierarchy?" (Y/N) chuckled.

"There is though. A gap between them and mere humans in terms of skills and power."

"In the end, they're still humans though. Be it numbers, hard work, or some unique strategy, those 'mere humans' you say will always struggle to step on equal levels with those on the highest rank."

Tsukishima only hummed and stared down at her, "Perhaps I was wrong on assuming you're an elite. You're clearly not."

"Are you underestimating me?" She challenged.

"No, I was just saying. Can I ask something though?"

"What?"

"Why are you suddenly talkative?"

She was caught off guard but tried not to stutter, "Me? Talkative? I'm always like this."

"Really?" He raised his brows, totally not buying it.

"Ugh, fine! I'm tired of studying!" She sighed, "I was scribbling some doodles on my notebook because I'm bored so I thought it wouldn't hurt to talk to Mr. Beanpole in front of me. Forgive me and my awkward social skills."

"Your social skills are not bad. I'm just thankful you aren't using the precious ink of my pen for drawing." He said, stacking the books he used.

She gasped, panicked inside, "You aren't looking at my drawing, are you?"

He got up to return the books,"Don't worry, it's none of my business."

She exhaled in relief, spared from another memory of embarrassment. Her eyes followed his walking figure and watched his movements. She looked at her drawing to compare and used her fingers to define lighting. When Tsukishima got back and placed new reviewers on the table, (Y/N) asked him once more.

"Do you ever get tired of studying?"

"Sometimes I take a break, but I can only do that if I have finished everything."

"What a diligent student you are."

"I hardly see any benefit in being dumb and slacking off all the time."

"Eh, I hardly see any benefit in studying Algebra and Calculus. I have a lot of questions. Do you use derivatives in counting money or salary? Do you use trigonometry in dividing pizzas or corn chips? Why do I need to find the limit of a function if numbers are infinite? Why do I need to get the formula of a certain point in each line or curve I draw on the graphing paper? What is the correct answer for?" (Y/N) complained.

Tsukishima looked at her blankly, doubting her chances of passing the Shiratorizawa's board exam. "I couldn't argue with that, I'd rather read a book composed of words than formulas, but you don't have a choice. Although, if you plan to be an engineer or something, that'll be a different perspective."

"No, thanks, I won't eat math books for breakfast. Other subjects are interesting enough to keep me awake in class, but numbers don't really entertain me."

"Then, what do you do?" He asked, writing on his notes.

"Not much. I just draw, paint, listen to music, and watch anime."

He let out an amused hum, "How about you? What do you do other than to study?" (Y/N) asked.

"I play volleyball, listen to music, and read narrative books."

"Volleyball? So that's what your height is for! I thought it's just for cleaning and reaching high places."

"That's rude."

"If I am, what do you call yourself? Besides, I don't want to make wrong assumptions."

"You just did."

"...right. I'm sorry."

The sense of familiarity took over (Y/N)'s brain, telling her that she definitely had met this Tsukishima guy before. Her face scrunched a little, trying to search her memories and connect the dots. Her eyes found his face again.

"Why do you keep looking at me?" His eyes narrowed, his annoyance towards the girl slowly rising.

"I HAD met you somewhere... before that accident, where did I see you?"

He was about to say something when (Y/N) stopped him, "Shh, I'm thinking."

He crossed his arms and frowned at her. Volleyball, Amemaru MS... She was about to say it but Tsukishima spoke first.

"Were you one of the audience who watched the middle school volleyball inter-high a year ago?"

"I was! Wait, you remember?"

"That was the only place where I could find someone from Kitagawa Dai Ichi." He confirmed.

"Correct. I was a part of the school paper where I was assigned in the sports category. I took a picture of you when my senior was interviewing you! You were the tallest middle blocker in the games! How could I forget that! So that's why whenever you irk me, it was familiar!"

"How am I annoying you? Aren't you the one who kept on talking right now?"

"I've figured out that there's no kind bone in you. And the way you keep on stuffing the spikes from the opposite team. It was never-ending that they didn't have a chance to score properly." She pouted.

"What do you expect from a middle blocker? It was my job to block spikes."

"You could've gone easy on them."

"The game would lose it's sense if that's the case."

"Fine. You're not wrong." Their conversation was cut short after she ceased talking. At least she found out where she first met Tsukishima. She finished the portrait sketch. Grinning, she believed that she captured his features accurately in her drawing. She'd like to hold it near him and compare to make sure though. Satisfied with her work, she went back on turning pages.

"So, you've finally decided to continue to study?" Tsukishima prodded.

She smiled, "I guess. Thank you for talking to me. That was a great stop."

Both of them worked quietly, but now, the irritation they felt towards each other lessened. After some time, a person in the speaker announced that the library will be closing before 6 pm. Tsukishima returned all the books he borrowed and packed his things.

"You're going home?"

"I don't want to come home late. You aren't finished with your notes yet?"

"Yeah, maybe I'll leave five minutes before six."

"Alright. I'll get going now." He swung his bag over his shoulder.

"Hey, wait! Your pen!" (Y/N) abruptly remembered seconds after.

"I don't need it anymore. It was useful, apart from its close on running out of ink."

"But it's yours and you told me to keep my promise!"

"Whatever. Keep it or throw it." He walked out and wore his headphones, having no intention to listen to anyone.

She sighed and checked the ink. More than half of it is gone, but she can use it again if she wishes. (Y/N) placed her fist to her cheek while writing.

Random Tsukishima Kei facts:

In the second prototype chapter (unserialized, one shot, the first idea of the author on how haikyuu will go) Tsukishima was a second-year, which was changed in the serialized version where he's a first-year. His initial height in the prototype chapter is 184cm, a little shorter than his official height (190.1cm). In an extra sketch, Furudate commented, "Tsukki and Tanaka being in the same year would spell chaos!

TGCF Book 3 Reaction pt. 6 - We are going to Mt. Tonglu!

hahaha. So, funny thing. I got impatient and just breezed though the last two books and consumed all of the post-canon content I could find. But, even though I have finished TGCF, that doesn’t mean I didn’t leave notes that I want in big chunks like this. So I will continue working on this

Even though I read the novel, I will stay true to my notes to the best of my abilities.

Ch 138: Xie Lian remembering that he threw his meatballs like bullets without any spiritual strength, like how he went about the past 800 years

- Me: Why do people not realize that Xie Lian is buff. Buff Xie Lian art, where?

Qi Rong turns out to be a better chef than Xie Lian. Like possible House Husband material

- Me: Yo. WTF. I call hack! How did- *remembering Qi Rong’s backstory*... Okay, but how did he learn and hone his skills?

Ch 139: Hua Cheng builds a little golden palace outside and then kicks it. The shady inn illusion crashes as well.

- Me: Man, I really hope that the Heavenly Emperor doesn’t die and make Heaven crash onto the ground, only to be upheld by the power of Xie Lian and then create a parallel of that scene in book 2, or Atlus holding up the world.

Ch 143: Heaven and the Ghost Kings have a mutual beneficial relationship

Hua Cheng using this fact to exploit Heaven singing him praises for a year.

Some ghost ladies get hurt and the cloaked stranger immediately asks: “Are my ladies alright?”

Pei Ming about to tease Hua Cheng when Ruoye whips out to hit Pei Ming

- Me: I don’t know if that was all Ruoye or influence from Mt. Tonglue, but go Ruoye.

Pei Ming’s mysterious candy he got to disguise his spiritual powers is revealed to be shady candy made form Ghost City. Consuming the candy is the equivalent to rubbing skunk spray all over yourself.

- Me: What did the army teach you Xie Lian?

Xie Lian calls out for Banyue & Pei Su knowing that they are not at Mt. Tonglu as a tactic to distract Ke Mo

- Me: lol. What if they actually come after Xie Lian called them.

When things start to look good, Xie Lian calls out on it. It is immediately changes into a bad thing

Tiny E-Ming grows with praises from Xie Lian.

Pei Ming does a big brain and smashes E-Ming’s hit to Xie Lian’s lips. E-Ming grows to a very long scimar

- Me: Pei Ming caught on what Xie Lian didn’t. Also E-Ming reflect’s Hua Cheng, so, affection makes E-Ming grow. Hua Cheng

As Ke Mo and Ming’Guang are abotu to beat Xie Lian and Pei Ming, Banyu and Pei Su do that badass entry of jumping down a cliff and kicking the opponents.

- Me: lol, Banyue and Pei Su actually appeared.

Banyue throws a scorpion-snake at Ke Mo fully knowing what she is doing and the 200 years of mutual dislike is behind it.

- Me: Ultimate betrayal.

Banyue: We came here with Rain Master

- Me: Wait. Rain Master is here?

Ch 148: Xie Lian thinks that if he does the same things he did to E-Ming to help him grow, it will help Hua Cheng grow

- Me: Awe. So cute.

Ke Mo vs. Banyue & Pei Su - Round 2: Banyue is too embarrassed to throw her snakes again at Ke Mo. Pei Su swoops in and yeets a basket full at Ke Mo who screams at them

- Me: For some reason I find this scene really funny.\

Xie Lian: Moves into kiss Hua Cheng. He kisses the forehead and is sad about it.

Pei Ming learns that Banyue is that Banyue while she backs away from Banyue as Pei Ming comes close to her

- Me: Oh wait. Does Pei Ming still smell of those Ghost Candies?

It is revealed that Banyue is weary of Pei Ming because of the candy scent

Ch 149: Pei Ming insults Banyue for not knowing how to cook like other females

Xie Lian says he will teach Banyue how to cook

Banyue is holding a pot of food

Ch 150: Banyue’s chicken meal is a black mass of questionable origins

Review

Spy X Family

Genre: Action-Comedy

Summary/Plot: A spy, code name Twilight, gets his new mission to form a family. Specifically, he has to get close to and investigate a guy’s subversive activities, but the guy only reveals himself during parties related to his kid’s prestigious school. So, he must get a kid to enroll in the school and a wife because the school won’t let single parent kids join. To do this he adopts a random kid from a shady orphan place. This kid, Anya, is able to trick Twilight into thinking she’s smart because she is a physic who can read people’s minds. Later Anya is able to help Twilight get a wife secretly using her physic powers. This girl, Yor, is a hitman and she desperately needs a date to a work party (not a hitman work party, she has a “cover job”) because she lied to her brother that she had one, and to be more normal like. The two agree to help each other out with what they need, a fake boyfriend and fake mom/wife. Everyone keeps their secret jobs/powers from each other. The only one who knows everything is the little physic girl Anya. The rest of the manga is all of them jump through hoops to keep Anya in the school, do well in the school, and do their spy and killing jobs. A future seeing dog comes in eventually too.

Art Style: It’s good. It looks different from most other manga. I would say the people are drawn a bit more realistic. The people, for the most part, look different and individualize. There are solid lines and texture to the people and objects. The backgrounds are nice. They are filled but not cluttered.

Personal thoughts: It’s a good story. I’m pretty sure this story doesn’t take place on our earth and I’m not sure what time period it would be in either. There is political tension between the East and West, which is how the countries are evidently titled. The spy and hitman jobs are used to keep the peace between the two sides as they got out of a war a few years prior. I’m not sure if the two adults would be on opposite sides of the fight or not. I’m not sure what side Twilight or and Yor are from, but if they both are just for keeping peace between the nations then there would be no issue. Though I’m pretty sure that eventually there will be a point where they have to fight or something because that’s just how these stories go. I would say this is mostly a comedy. There are plenty of fights but this manga’s main way of keeping you entertained is by putting funny moments. The comedy is mostly their secrets and lies cause funny things to happen. Also Anya’s shenanigans are always good. It’s also very cute. There is a good number of precious moments. Most of the side plots are caused either by Anya wanting something or wanting to do something, or something relating to a mission Twilight has to do or keeping the family mission running convincingly.

Characters:

Twilight, aka Loid (for this mission at least): He’s a spy known for being a master of disguise, or man with 100 faces. He is a cool, suave, smart man. Not the kind of guy to just run in some place, he will plan for every outcome then execute the mission. He is more of a lone wolf kind of guy. The whole “Make a family” thing is hard for him as he isn’t used to relying on others to get a job done. He is everything you expect a spy to be. As for his fathering, he starts out not so good. After all he plans on abandoning Anya after the mission is done. He does do better as time goes on, but I wouldn’t be giving him a father or the year award any time soon. At the very least he is dependable and a caring person. His motivation for being a spy is so that no child should have to cry like he did during the war between the East and West.

Anya: Little physic girl. Very cute and precious. Twilight, on first sight thought she was 4 or 5 but Anya said she was 6. This was probably a lie on her part to get Twilight to adopt her. Due to the way she acts compared to her peers I’m thinking 4-5 is right, more on the 4 side maybe. Because she reads minds, she is the only one who knows everyone else’s secrets. She does know to keep them secrets luckily, if not for any other reason than to keep her physic powers a secret. Other than the powers she is a normal girl. Not that smart, tries to be liked by people, enjoys a TV show called Bondman about a spy, and enjoys doing spy stuff. She does her best to help in whatever missions her new parents are up to, without letting them know she knows. I can see her growing up to be a spy or hitman herself. Her main goal right now it to make sure that her new family stays together. She also makes great reaction faces.

Yor aka Thorn Princess: She’s a hitman. She started murder to help raise her brother after her parents died. How and why she chose murder to do this, I don’t know. She has another job for her public appearance. She is a very capable fighter, and often shows off her abilities in plain view of the public. How Twilight hasn’t thought this suspicious is beyond me. He knows she’s stealthy and has good perception and has seen her acrobatics and kicks, but not a thought on it. Anyway, other than fighting she pretty useless. Despite having sharp instincts, she is kind of an idiot and she’s stereotypically bad at cooking. I have no idea how she raised her brother. She is quick to anger and the first thought she has to solving problems is normally to kill all who are involved. Her violence is often played for laughs. Luckily, she has a good moral compass and doesn’t hurt innocent people (will hurt bad people or attackers) or kill those she isn’t ordered to. But she is a kind person who genuinely wants to be a mother to Anya.

Also she can kick a car so hard it will swerve off the road

Frankie: Twilight’s supply guy. He is the one who gets info or small things for him. He is a pretty normal dude otherwise. He’s got kooky best friend vibes, and he probably is Twilight’s best friend though I doubt Twilight would say they are friends. He the guy who get unwillingly conscripted into doing things for Twilight, such as helping out in missions or babysitting. Which he expresses his dislike to. He is the one to get made fun of or get dragged through things for comedic effect.

Henry Hederson: He is a housemaster at the school they want Anya in. He also ends up being one of the teachers. He is obsessed with elegance. He will make every judgment based off this. He is strict but if you can win him over a reliable ally.

Damian: He is the kid Anya is supposed to get close to so they can get to his dad. He is a bit of an arrogant narcissistic brat, as you would expect. He does have a good side and probably just needs a push in the right direction. He doesn’t get to see his dad as much as he’d like. Also pretty sure he gets a crush on Anya.

Becky: Anya’s school friend. She gives off rich girl vibes. You’d expect her to be mean, but she turns out to be quite nice after Anya punches a kid saying it was because he stepped on Becky’s foot (it wasn’t but that doesn’t matter). Also because of that punch no other kid is friends with Anya cause she scary. Becky is defensive of Anya making sure she doesn’t get bullied, but also ends up getting in the way of the mission.

Bond: The future seeing dog. Loyal, protective, and good natured. He’s everything you’d want in a dog. He comes into the manga later on, so you’ll have to wait to see him in action.

Other info: as of 11/1/21 it has 53 chapters, I haven’t gotten though all of them yet. The chapters in my opinion are longer than most other manga. It’s also getting a anime soon!

All in all: This is a lighthearted spy story. There is both tension and comedy. You’ll be smiling though a lot of it. I’d say check it out, at least to the 3rd chapter. If it’s not doing it for you by then, it’s not for you. Otherwise you’ll enjoy it.

I would just like to say the title of this episode is so misleading…nothing crazy happened. False Advertising!

Eat the Rich

Seeing Anne’s room made me want to talk to her and urge her to revolt against the rich and distribute their wealth.

Spare Katarina, but rise up and revolt.

When I first saw her room, I legit thought Katarina was going to be surprised by Anne’s room and maybe (somehow by the end of the episode) was going to redecorate it and upgrade it for Anne…but nope. That idea quickly faded the second it went into my head.

Revolt against the aristocrats, Anne.

Spare Katarina, but rise up and fight.

Eat the rich!

No, but in all seriousness, sometimes I have problems with anime (stories in general) where the affluent and opulent wealth of characters is just the background and it’s never going to be address in all seriousness. Particularly when they show that not everyone is as wealthy…

Why show Anne’s room to be like, if you’re never going to actually talk about it nor resolve the wealth gap. Why show her room to be depressing looking? Why not just give her a nice room? It doesn’t have to be Katarina’s room’s level of finery, but something.

That aside, let’s continue onward to the rest of the episode.

Katarina running off to tell everyone (and to thank them) for her making it to the second year, was adorable. Katarina throughout this episode was so goddamn precious.

I just…Katarina must be protected at all costs. She is the best girl that ever existed.

I love this beautiful, bisexual-mess of an idiot. She’s perfection.

I’m still mad at Anne for denying Katarina’s original PJ choices. How dare you Anne! How dare you deprive me of that. How dare you!

I’m going to discuss the episode in more detail further down, so we’re going to get into some spoiler territory (I guess?). So, you’ve been warned.

Potential Spoilers Below

Anne’s view on each of the character’s feelings for Katarina was fantastic.

Geordo’s Feelings

While we didn’t actually get to see it, which was disappointing, Anne being scared of Geordo for initially telling Katarina that her scar was gone was hilarious. I am disappointed we haven’t seen Geordo at his true level of horrifying, but still…

Just his eyes narrowing may have cut a few years off of Anne’s life alone.

Keith’s Feelings

Poor Keith. Again, I don’t ship them, but still you still gotta feel bad for him.

What is the purpose of others thinking you’re good-looking, if the one person you want doesn’t?

I love Keith and his mother. They’re hilarious.

Alan’s Feelings

OMG Alan, how have you not figured it out, yet. You’re playing the violin for vegetation at the request of Katarina…I just.

Alan sweetheart, you are in love with this woman.

I do like how he actually did it for Katarina. That’s so fucking funny.

But also, just look at this face, how could he not.

It’s a good thing Katarina doesn’t want any actual political power or anything like that, she would be unstoppable.

Mary’s Feelings

Mary is several levels above everyone else. No comparison.

She is subtly convincing Katarina that Katarina won’t do well as a Princess-Consort and has already figured out a way for them to leave and probably already has a manor set up by the sea, with a field already to go for the two of them (and Anne).

Mary is a bit scary in all honesty.

Nicol’s Feelings

Nicol’s cute smile was just adorable. Nicol x Katarina aren’t really one of my main ships, but I do love the contrast between these two.

Katarina this bright and bubbly ball of energy and sunshine and Nicol, a stoic statue who has trouble expressing himself, but can’t help but smile when he’s in Katarina’s presence.

Sophia’s Feelings

Sophia wanting Katarina to get with Nicol, even though she also loves Katarina is everything. Her listing off her brother’s good qualities (at random times) is hilarious to me. Always has been.

Sophia is just so damn cute.

Maria’s Feelings

Maria is giving Katarina all the treats. Smart Lady! She may have come late into the race for Katarina’s heart, but she’s playing to win.

In general, I like how we got quick snippets of everyone’s feelings for Katarina. I also love how the anime, legit just says the girls are in love with Katarina. I’ll always appreciate that.

Anne and Katarina

Anne’s POV in this episode was just everything. I’m so glad the anime adapted it from the Light Novel, seeing as the Manga just ignored it. I’m so very happy.

When she lifted up her sleeve to reveal the burn marks, I gasped.

I wasn’t sure if the Anime was going to actually include that part (the Manga did skip over it), so I’m very happy the anime chose to include Anne’s full backstory.

It makes me sad, but it’s good angst.

It’s not the same as the Light Novel, but Anne’s backstory and her relationship with Katarina was everything. That little montage of Anne and Katarina… my heart can’t handle such cuteness.

Also, I genuinely really love how when Katarina asked Anne’s father to not take Anne away, she had a bit of a bratty vibe to her. Very similar to Katarina before she regained her memories.

Even though she has her memories, Katarina is still a kid. And I just love that.

Anne refusing her father’s order. Mwah!

I really appreciate how the anime changed that scene from the Light Novel to Anne standing up for herself and actually speaking up.

Well Done! Good Choice!

Also, Luigi Claes stepping in to talk to the Baron himself was just nice to see.

It was great seeing him being intimidating and such. While Katarina sees him as her dopey, doting father, there is more to him.

In the LN, it’s made clear that he learned about the man Anne’s father wanted to marry her off to and was not happy with that and came to Anne’s defense.

But I also just like how a part of it, is probably because Katarina wanted Anne to stay with her (and Anne wanted the same thing) and Luigi can’t deny his daughter anything.

Luigi Claes doing the right thing (because it’s the right thing) but also, because he’s the kind of father, who will give his daughter anything. There’s a reason why OG Katarina was so spoiled.

The fact that Katarina knew Anne would come into her room in the middle of the night to put her covers back on her, was just so sweet.

Because Anne probably thought Katarina never knew she even did that, but of course Katarina knew.

Katarina giving gifts to Anne and being the first person to ever give her a birthday present…I swear I’m not crying, you’re crying.

I LOVE THESE TWO!

I guess while it’s never stated, I presume all the other stuff in the box were gifts from Katarina or objects related to a fond memory Anne has of Katarina.

Which gives me a headcanon.

Headcanon – Everyone has kept all the gifts they’ve ever received from Katarina as well as certain items they associate with a specific time or event they shared with Katarina.

We know from the Light Novels, that Keith has kept all the birthday presents he’s ever received from Katarina. And I thought it was said he kept the remnants of the door Katarina broke down, but I couldn’t confirm that. But now that’s a headcanon of mine as well.

More specifically, I now have the headcanon that either Geordo or Alan kept the snake toy that Katarina first threw at Geordo all those years ago.

Probably Alan, as that memory is 100% positive one for him. While for Geordo, that memory probably mixed at best.

There is something cute about Geordo being scared of that toy, telling on Katarina and getting her in trouble, but nonetheless keeping that dreaded fake snake.

Anne and Katarina and their whole relationship was just everything. They were truly and absolutely the highlight of this episode. My heart was ready to burst.

Sleepover

Overall, it was very cute. It was nice seeing the girl’s hang out and be in their pajamas.

Katarina saving Anne from the girls’ question about marriage, was just very nice and does show Katarina is not as dense as we may think. She’s aware.

I will say, though, it was a bit lacking in comparison to the bonus Manga chapter in Vol. 5 (LN).

Particularly in regards to Mary. I mean just look at Mary in the Light Novel for comparison. It almost feels like a different scene.

Also, while I did realize this last week.

Sophia’s wish in romance and how over-the-top, pure fantasy, based on romance novels her ideas actually are, really makes her fantasy in last week’s episode (I became Engulfed by Desire) feel way more off.

And just not accurate to Sophia’s character.

You’re telling me that Nicol in his amplified fantasy is basically Tuxedo Mask jumping around Venice with Katarina, but Sophia’s amplified fantasy is just her being in her family’s library with Katarina.

I call bullshit.

Sophia’s desire book fantasy, should’ve been the most crazy and over top thing ever. 100%. And this episode confirms that.

Both Maria and Katarina wanting to cook for their partner is very lovely and shows their compatibility.

I am a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see the boys’ sleepover, but Nicol’s eyes sparkling when he heard that the sleepover would include boy’s talk was just too precious.

His thoughts are definitely much more innocent in comparison to what Sophia was thinking when she heard about Boy’s Talk…I love Sophia.

Geordo and Katarina

I was really looking forward to seeing Ch.17.5 be adapted to the anime, but unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed by it.

It was much less sweet, cute and funny then it was in the Manga. Seeing the scene in the anime just made me want to read the Manga chapter again.

Seriously, you don’t have to read the whole Manga (you should though), but do yourself a favor and read Ch. 17.5. It’s amazing!

Just look at this dork

This was a golden opportunity for the anime, to really show Geordo’s feelings and relationship with Katarina from his perspective. And just endear the audience to him.

They completely dropped the ball.

I feel like the anime doesn’t understand or even like Geordo’s character. He seems less dynamic, engaging and interesting in the anime. And the aspects that make very endearing and heartfelt, are basically taken out.

He hardly comes across as the leading male…which is disappointing for me, since I really love Geordo and Geordo x Katarina.

I am very disappointed with the treatment of Geordo. The anime is doing a disservice to him, in my opinion. Especially in comparison to Alan who the anime has added extra moments for.

I do appreciate those extra Alan moments, but I would appreciate them a lot more if it didn’t feel like Geordo was being left out.

Nonetheless, Geordo’s face when he saw everyone else and when saw that they all got Katarina gardening shears as well was fantastic!

Katarina Speaks Two Languages Headcanon

I mean this episode basically confirmed that. With Katarina writing the letter to Geordo, but writing everyone’s name in Kanji (?) on their gardening uniforms.

While we do have Keith’s and Duchess Claes’ signs not being written in the country’s language, that’s more for comedy sake as those signs don’t exist in reality.

But did anyone in the Harem wonder, why Katarina wrote their names in an entirely different language? I just love the idea of everyone being shocked to learn that Katarina can speak and write fluently in two languages.

Conclusion

I overall enjoyed this episode.

Some scenes I found a bit lacking (or more than a bit) in comparison to what they were based off of from the Manga or Light Novel. I will say I liked how this episode did take its material from the Light Novels and the bonus chapter in the Manga, as well as adding their own bits and pieces.

It was well done.

I’m definitely salty over how wrong they got Ch. 17.5. I just…at times it feels like the anime gets the core of certain scenes and characters (without doing the exact same thing from the LN or Manga or adding their own scenes) just right, but for Geordo they just seem to miss the mark.

Also, the material from Ch. 17.5 just felt like it was added onto the end, it didn’t really go with the rest of the episode…

And in relation to that, Mary being subdued in the sleepover scene was disappointing as well.

I understand there are budgets and restrictions, so I’m hoping they’re saving it for the last three episodes.

Anne and Katarina were the clear highlight of this episode. Without them being the focus of the episode, I would’ve found it less enjoyable, even with all the cute and precious moments we got to see.

But overall, a lovely episode with so many precious moments and it gave me so many feels in regards to Anne and her relationship with Katarina. So many!

My favourite characters (the order is random)

🖤 Magna - I think it is pretty obvious that Magna is my favourite character. And not only because he is my crush 😂 I really like his energy and the way he uses his powers, in fact I think he deserves more screen time and more power ups. I love the way he is characterised: he is a bad ass and tries to play it like a bad guy, but he is lowkey a softie who loves his squad and worships his Captain like an idol (which I find extremely cute and heart-melting). Absolutely love him.

🖤 Yami - he is just so fucking powerful. He is the one who killed Vetto saving his squad and the one who made possible for Asta to beat the demon in the elves arch. Everyone else had a pretty hard time but he was capable of slashing him in half with just one precise spell. I am convinced that he should be the next Wizard King if it wasn't for his reputation, social status and the fact that he couldn't be less bothered to deal with such a responsibility.

🖤 Asta - Asta reminds me of myself. I have a thing for determinate protagonists that come from nowhere and want to achieve everything through hard working and never giving up, who value friendship more than anything else. That is because I live my life following pretty much the same principles. Asta feels very personal to me.

🖤 Mereoleona - because GIRLS POWER BITCH. Most shonens use female characters as cute companions that cannot defend themselves for shit, or if they are powerful they have a very shitty personality. Mereo is beautiful, sexy, very feminine in her appearance but at the same time fierce, wise and one of the very strongest characters in the whole story. I loved every single figh of hers, she is such a role model.

🖤 Leo - He is precious! He is royalty but never gets cocky about it. He genuinely appreciates other people strength regardless their status (I absolutely stan his friendship with Asta) and works hard because he knows that one day he will have to be in charge of the Red Lions. I think he is very aware for his age and takes his future responsibilities very seriously. He is going to become very strong for sure and I can't wait to see him more, because he deserves more screen time.

🖤 Zora - his aesthetic, his facial expressions, his look, his background, his powers... There's nothing about this character that I don't absolutely adore! Even his voice in the anime is a solid 10/10. That's it, there is not much more to say. I think he is just a master piece of a character.

🖤 Noelle - best character development in the whole story without any doubt. She is a traumatised child that slowly starts to overcome all her insecurities to become this freaking powerful wizard and I love it. And this is not the only aspect of her development: she also emotionally grows when she finally finds people that love her and appreciate her, which is actually one of the main reason why she menages to develop her power so much.

🖤 Fuegoleon - he is powerful and a true gentleman. I really love his kindness and his fairness. He takes care of Leo teaching him everything he knows and looks up to Mereo as an example. He really deserves to carry the fire's spirit with him.

🖤 Yuno - I prefer Asta over him big time, but this doesn't stop me from loving him. His relationship with Asta is great, it is amazing to see how much he cares about his brother (yes to me their are not friends, they are brothers) and how much he respects him, even if he likes to play cocky when he is around. He has a great sense of duty, respects his captain and squad mates, he is extremely charming and... Of course, extremely powerful, which adds extra points to his coolness.

🖤 Luck - he is extra cute, very powerful and crazy. I would spare with him all the time! And his friendship with Magna is simply wholesome. Plus I just love the thunder magic, I find it ao unique.

🖤 Yamichar - I MEAN COME ON. I just can't wait for this to happen because it will happen, I am sure about it. They are both powerful, good looking and I think they would be so cute together.

🖤 Asta x Noelle - maybe a bit cheesy but I think she is the one for him. They are perfect for each other.

🖤 Lugna - these two send so many homoerotic vibes I just can't. I absolutely love them. Cute little gay babies.

This Halloween was like Christmas, it was fabulous and no matter what they try, they cannot undo it. And I am confident D&C were fully aware of what was happening on Thursday night with the pictures. They have been playing this game for years, they know how not to be in the background of photos. They wanted those pics circulated.(more confirmation bias) So my question is, why now and who allowed those pics to be published? We all know the content is generally very controlled. And I would imagine EP has full control over the pics that are released from his party, I always question his involvement and well he was responsible for the only formal pic to date of CC, albeit a group photo.

C killed Halloween with his 2 costume choices. They were amazing. And I love that both he and D wee in drag last Saturday.

As for M/iarren, while the costumes themselves were not that great (kind of cheap and poorly executed though D as a dalmatian was adorable). I would say she spent more time and effort on the pics with her “squad’), i loved both of them. The villain and the victim. And in both cases, the D character won. And costume one was a blatant nod to C and his amazing books. Proving she is obsessed with us and what we say and trying to one up C.

Sad for her, she lost Halloween this year and CC triumphed and caused an absolute riot (a riot caused by Chris, Darren, Will and Mia speaking together at a party.. it has come to this#SAD!).

On K/athy thanks for the insight. I guess i cannot imagine asking such a direct question if I knew the truth. I guess what she failed to realize is that D is a terrible liar, especially back then. Your fantasy has overtaken the truth once again. Luckily we have video proof). But since D could not muster an answer, she answered for him and then he was able to collect himself and go with the joke. (that isn’t true at all-it’s a complete a lie).

Intereting side note, when that video originally aired, i still believed the PR story and I remember thinking about how odd his answer was and how uncomfortable he was. And i wasn’t looking for anything as I didn’t think there was a reason for him to lie.

I love this interview. And example of something team shit would dream about if only d could answer convincingly and instead it completely shined a light on the fact that D is queer and prefers the company of men, at least at that point in his life (Not making a statement on his past and sexuality) (OMG really? Yes! If it’s a series, I write the whole plot down on a book with details and elements that I want included. I keep it besie me to be sure I follow the plot whislt writing it.

Since I write in the evening, if there’s a one shot request that I lack inspiration about, I write something else and think of a plot when I’m in bed before i go to sleep. It really helps be get the requests written and in the queue.

I normally sit in front of my TV, catching up on my series or something and just write. I don’t really have a ritual other than this!

questions. fandom questions. questions in which i am too lazy/tired to use grammar. but questions none-the-less i think maybe. But yes, on to these questions, where i may occasionally use actual words how they are supposed to be used. Anyway, yes.

1) Are you ever in a fandom and there is a ship that you don’t necessarily like, but you don’t hate (or maybe you REALLY don’t like it) but at like 3 A.M. you are sitting at your computer just doing whatever it is you people do on your computers at 3 A.M. and you are just like man, i really want to look at fanart/read fanfics/headcannons for this one ship that i haven’t even come across in forever but like, i must remember the right way to search it NOW? Like, you know the feeling? THAT one? and you know that eventually you are going to go to sleep and when you wake up it will be another back burner ship because there is that one that is just absolutely precious and you fully support it, but for right now, for this slot of time while you are surrounded by media it is the #1 ship and it is the best. (honestly this is me with the Cinder/Emerald stuff. i mean... it exists but like... white rose also exists...) you know?

2) or maybe you aren’t even part of a fandom but you were on the internet and hey that couple looks cute and now you don’t know how you ended up passing so much time clicking through a path of pictures and you don’t know where you are anymore, but while you don’t know all of the deets because you never watched/read/played/whatevered the source material you are still pretty aware of what is going on and you absolutely love these two disaster children and no you don’t even know who they are but you have to protect them because you are pretty sure that that ones mom wants them both dead. (i have no clue what i found but chick with green hair and blonde chick are adorable, i love them, i don’t know who they are, i have no desire to, but they are my children)

3) or you are scrolling through tumblr, just being bored, and you see a fanart/fanfic/whatever for something and you have no clue what it is from, or what it is about, you don’t fucking know, but you NEED to find out. You have to involve yourself with the source material and you need to find more stuff from this fandom because DAMN it just looks GREAT. Like, you don’t know why, but this pretty black bird with the weird red mark and that blurry football player in the background make you really want to hunt down this show/book/whatever. but it isn’t in the tags. So you hunt through the blog and finally find the same raven except again, no tags. But now there is a clear image of a boy so now you are looking for this boy, etc, etc, until finally you are on what you think based on context clues is a shape-shifting psychic wolf and you finally find tags that tell you what it is from and you go and consume the source material and now you are tits deep in a new fandom and it is fucking precious. (the ravens name is Caleb, the girl is Lilliana, the wolf’s name is bane, and i love them all. Also, Xev is a precious baby and he doesn’t deserve this shit... ANyway,)

4) Or like, randomly NEEDING to revisit a fandom you haven’t seen in forever. Nothing happened to push you in this direction but you have chocolate and sprite and you want to go back and look into THAT fandom and maybe its from a cringey phase in your life and maybe you think it is stupid but regardless, you need to check in and then its an hour and a half later and you realize you ran out of andies candies. and fuck is it really that late already, i was just dropping by, whoops. (... Black Butler... I don’t know why. It just sort of happened.)

5) or like, you started a thing a while ago and kinda liked it but like... eh so woo now its time to finish that thing. Wait it has TWO WHOLE SPIN OFFS NOW uh... OKAY BINGE READING THIS SHIT TONIGHT. (Started reading a fanfic for a thing it had like 6 chapters. i bookmarked it. i was clearing out my bookmarks and i found it. it has 36 CHAPTERS and seriously two whole additional spin off serieses and like... yes. this was like a year ago and i don’t know why i am remembering this now but it deserves it’s place on the list)

6)or finding a fandom and loving the fandom but having no interest in the ships or anything or even the source material to the point that you don’t even really go watch the source material. you just sorta read all the fanfics that you happen across on this hell site and enjoy the headcannons and fanart and stuff because it seems cool but not like... something you would binge watch ( i am not stating what it is here because... as much as i love the fandom it scares me too. pretty sure they could kill me. Love you guys)

7) or starting a thing and getting really immersed in the fandom but not ever really finishing it so now you are like here but you don’t entirely know what’s going on so you just kind love everything and smile and die a little. (Hunter X Hunter. I started watching it with a friend. We never finished it. We got about halfway through what is on Netflix. I honestly don’t even remember the last thing to happen. but i love Killua and Gon and Hisoka is a fucking creep)

8) or like, you see a fandom/interest come across your dash so much that you just assume it was something you were interested in at some point and followed some poeple but then you like... forgot about it... and you don’t really remember anything about it. So like... you don’t really know. Maybe the people you follow just collectively started liking stuff they hadn’t before, which is fine, but you can never be quite sure. (i have seen A LOT of witchy stuff recently, and like... it seems in character for little fourteen year old me but like... i can’t quite tell...)

9)Or like, you see a post that is really random and it reminds you of that one thing you used to be really into but they are completely unrelated and you have no idea why that thing popped into your mind but you remember a surprising amount about it. (I really wanted to play trumpet. i did all of the bok studying but i was shit at playing. I practiced a lot... but it didn’t really work out. I saw a post about shoes the other day and i just kinda laughed for a minute remembering the trumpet thing and then i started remembering little facts and i just kinda... huh)

you know those feelings? like... those things that are like... is this something i am/was/could be/should be interested in? or is this just meh? you know the feeling? these are my questions. questions. fandom questions. questions in which i am too lazy/tired to use grammar. but questions none-the-less i think maybe. BUT IT FITS SO GOOD!? The happy cinnamon roll that’s too pure for this world and is always such a happy presence. Always smiling, being a hyperactive little ball of adorableness, enjoying of kids’ TV shows, and being the most loyal of companions to Noct. :’) The very loyal and happy sidekick, that remains badass in his own way. THIS IS A MIGHTY NECESSITY THAT I HAVE FOR THIS AU WITH THESE ROLES GODDAMMIT *punches through wall*

Everything fits so nicely, but Maya!Prompto is definitely the most accurate. Even when they’re sad it fits! You can just imagine the one frame where Maya has the head slightly down, eyes on Phoenix, and tears on the corner of her eyes, and see Prompto like that instead almost like he was made to take the role aaaaaah!

Ignis as Edgeworth and Gladio as Gumshoe COULDN’T HAVE EVER GOTTEN ANY BETTER.

Prosecutor Ignis, though, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT. UNGH. To start with, Ignis in fancy suits is already fantastic enough and I need it. Now imagine him going “Objection!” and being all smug and confident about his stuff. I just…love this.

And it also fits really nicely, considering the entire “childhood friends” with Noct! :O AAAAAH

Gumshoe reminded me of Gladio in some ways, but there were two or three parts where I was like “this is ABSOLUTELY some sort of Gladio”. I mean, Gumshoe likes puppies (he’s super fond of Missile, it seems!), he’s this big and tough looking guy but he’s really just a giant teddy bear, always laughing, and even a little naïve at times, he likes flirting with girls at times, but he’s not rude or bad with them, he has this absolute devotion to Ignis/Edgeworth…and not to forget about that time when Gumshoe arrived to Phoenix’s office asking for a job, saying he could be useful and cook, and said his speciality is “Instant noodles”. Hahahahaha!! And later on he says something about his salary being so poor that he’s been living on instant noodles for who knows how long. ABSOLUTELY GLADIO!

Caligo would work great as Payne just for the fact that they’re both annoying AND I HATE BOTH OF THEM.

It’s Final Gyakuten Saiban Fantasy XV. Also known as Final Ace Attorney Fantasy XV. It sounds- weird now that I read it, BUT IT’S THE MOST EPIC GAME/STORY YOU WILL EVER ENCOUNTER.

Noctis Wright Caelum, rookie defense attorney in the job. He likes blue and black suits and has a spiky black hair, and usually comes up with ideas as he’s on the go. He’s usually “wright” ;D

Meet his mentor! Cor Leonis, a more experienced defense attorney and friend to Noctis’ dad, an attorney retired due to health problems (now worries, he’s fine now that he gets to rest). Cor Leonis, usually coming off as rather serious and cold, but is actually a very caring and friendly ally during trial.

His son, Prompto, a rather bouncy and slightly hyperactive young boy, Noctis’ age, passionate for photography, and with rather poor comprehension of the law, BUT incredibly useful when it comes to seeing people’s lies and contradictions.

And on the prosecution’s side, we have one Ignis Scientia! With a mysterious background, Ignis is smart, calculating, sly, dark, and he’s tagged as a genius, having started at age 19/20 and not having lost one single case up until now. And his mentor, oh, yes, the man that took him under his wing when Ignis lost his father under mysterious circumstances…

Caligo von Uldor, a FUCKING PIECE OF GARBAGE.

And he grows up next to one grey haired and slightly aggressive, super sassy Aranea, who started prosecution at age THIRTEEN because she’s a bloody genius. And cheats sometimes. Because she’s still a mercenary as a lawyer but HEY I DIDN’T MAKE THE RULES.

And let’s not forget the friendly and adorable detective Gladiolus Amicitia, a guy that may come off as tough looking at first, but is really just a noodle-obsessed pet-lover flirty adorable precious angel that just wants justice and for everyone to be happy and for those he cares about to be safe. He has absolute devotion to and admires prosecutor Ignis Scientia a lot and would do ANYTHING for him… :’3

Detective Gladio likes to hang with the dog-in-training at the police department Umbra! A NICE FLUFFEEH ADORABLE LITTLE BOY THAT WILL EAT ALL THE SAMURAI HOT DOGS IN ONE GO!

And I would talk about the mysterious prosecutor Armaugh, and maybe also about Cor’s former and apparently now dead boyfriend defense attorney Weskham, but that’s- quite a long story and I’m not sure I should write it all XD

I recently beat the Ace Attorney trilogy for the first time just a few weeks ago and I’m still absolutely enamored and in love with it. I didn’t think it would be more than just funny criminal cases, didn’t know there was an entire plot and character building and development in there, and I had of course close to not a single idea I would fall for this series SO DEEP AND SO HARD.

And now, thinking about it mixed with the GLORIOUS FFXV that is sorta special to me…

77. What do you think of the fandom?

That’s a provocative question we got there, ahah.

HEH, it could be better as it could be worse too because there’s never a limit to the worse, is there?

Judging from the discourse I often see around here I think there are people who chose the wrong fandom. I mean, I don’t want to be THAT person but there’s a reason why DR has a certain rating and to be fair I did see people who even younger are still maturer than people who are older but in general, if the media you’re consuming has dark content in it, I don’t think you can complain much about toxic or abusive elements about the story and/or the characters.

“J/unko is a horrible person! She’s abusive!” Oh really? :D (sorry I don’t want to be mean, but…)

We all look for different things in what we watch/read so if these dark elements bother you, just leave instead of thinking to teach others how morally wrong or bad some stuff is, we know, thanks.

78. Favourite random/unnecessary scene?

Can I pick moments from both SDR2 and NDRV3? :P

SDR2: Everytime Souda pushed Hinata to join him in his stupid plans, soul friends were priceless, I swear x) The fireworks party bonus was scene was precious too :3

NDRV3: The Casino Bonus in V3, it was too good. Miu and Kokichi’s bickering moments were pure gold as well, lol.

82. Favorite Chapter

SDR2: I pick the third chapter. I liked it because I felt it was the very first chapter in which Hinata actually started to open himself more to others, as Kuzuryuu did and as Saionji was kinda trying to do as well, for how I saw it. It was interesting to watch the group getting divided and I also liked Mikan’s breakdown in the trial too, it was fascinating.

NDRV3: I pick the fourth chapter. Miu gave her best, TBH. Maybe since she was going to die the game gave her some spotlight on purpose but she was so damn funny, I swear. Also, bonus points for Shuuichi being the butt of her jokes and for Shuuichi and Maki for their bickering and mutual jealousness over Kaito, pure gold, lol.

83. Least Favourite Chapter

Mmm…

SDR2: I can’t decide between the first and the fourth. Yes, the first chapter introduced us to the situation and the characters but… I don’t know, it didn’t catch my attention that much at first. The party was a necessary evil since the killing game just needed to start somehow but it was too obvious that someone would have died there, I’d have preferred something less predictable to start, maybe? I don’t know. I appreciated Ko’s company and the twist about him was something I didn’t expect (I’m pretty naive lol) but then again… I didn’t feel sympathy for the killer at all and I felt like despite his good intention, Twogami was still a stranger I felt too detached from…

The fourth chapter exhausted me. The elevator gimmick became unbearable after a while, the motive wasn’t the most exciting and my eyes started to hurt at those pink and green backgrounds, lol. Starved people aside the only interesting thing was the Final Dead Room scene with Ko, even if I appreciated Kuzuryuu’s little talk with Owari. I also expected Mecha Nidai to be the victim so it wasn’t a very surprising chapter.

NDRV3: Since the other chapters all had stuff I liked, by exclusion I pick the second one. I think the “having no reasons to live” VS “having too many” wasn’t that bad but the whole Insect Friends Club thing made me cringe after a while. Not to mention the unnecessary trick with Hoshi’s corpse being eaten even if he was already dead, I thought it was mostly shock value, Idk. Even if it was made on purpose to frame Himiko it wasn’t a sharp idea.

I’m not really into the fandom, I prefer Equestria Girls, but I’ve watched the show for years so why not. Rainbow Dash isn’t high on my favorites list but I love her nerdy streak and devotion to both A.K. Yearling and Daring Do. Heck knows that’s how I feel about certain series (books or otherwise.) It’s a nice contrast to her otherwise cocky and athletic personality.

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)I guesssss I’ll do Monster High? I don’t really have one main fandom…although if it isn’t this, it’s X-men.1) More Cupid/Draculauraaaaaa! Come on guys!2) More people aware and obsessed with all the little Universal monster references in gen 1. Heck, more references to that stuff in general. There used to be such strong ties to it! That’s what really made me fall in love with Monster High. I wish I saw more people touch on or explore it. 3) I…can’t believe I’m going to say this but I’d love to see other fans explore and entertain the world set up in the anime shorts. I think it has a lot of intriguing potential. Characterizations aside.
