Having honestly the wildest experience flipping back and forth between binging Empresses in the Palace and That Omegaverse Thai BL. Yes, here to report that I have watched 4 episodes of Pit Babe on iQIYI, despite the name itself subjecting me to second-hand embarrassment, and it has officially vaulted over the hurdle of, "Is it good? Is it bad? Does that matter?" in the vein of Love in the Air.
It's.... exactly what it intends to be: that omegaverse AU boyband fic you read on AO3 at 2am when you couldn't sleep. I have never watched a more fanfic-y fanfic projected on screen. An incredible achievement.
Part of me feels strangely exposed and I have to push past my discomfort of thinking about a wider audience getting access to material that I generally consider to be our private fandom matters. But if I repress the knowledge that non-fandom people can see this, it's a dumb tropey good time. I hear there's canon mpreg, which makes sense cause I am pretty sure not a single woman has been on screen in four episodes. Do they canonically exist? Everyone is Gay™ and every named character is dude. I'm honestly racking my brains to recall if anyone mentioned a mom or if a female employee was in the background at some point and I missed it due to covering my eyes from mortification lmaooooooo.
The Babe character is that cliche hot/skilled/rich asshole fictional archetype who condescends to the people he sleeps with, treats them as disposible objects who can be traded to other assholes. (Until this alpha runs into his perfect match, per omegaverse rules!) But innocent flower love interest is apparently Not What He Seems and has his own agenda, as per fanfic 101. We all know how this goes. Supporting characters frequently marvel at how how Love Interest is so special™. Oh what a shock, this scum man alpha never allowed a fuck buddy to do X, Y, Z before. 😮
Naturally, our toxic boyfriend material has a Tragic Backstory that makes him Secretly Vulnerable and everyone wants something from his hot, skilled, rich self. 😢
no but truly, the desperate clinging of love interest Charlie who is thankful for the bare minimum scraps from Babe would be intolerable if we didn't know he has A SECRET SPY MISSION. or something. idk what his deal is yet. Anyway, it's not gross to see Charlie acting out pathetic thankfulness to be included in outings & allowed suck to his dick when Ulterior Motives Are Afoot.
The Sign is out there trying to be good but Pit Babe is so galaxy brain beyond such matters. I was charmed by how much Love in the Air reminded me of Cinemax After Dark and the Red Shoe Diaries of my 90s youth, soft core romance novel stylings surrounded by melodramatic plot (mysteries & fast cars & locker rooms & bar scenes) and Pit Babe charms me in the same late-night tv nostalgic way. The music that kicks up whenever there is a romance moment totally has that early 2000's softcore background track sound. My brain whispers, 'lol that's porn music'.
Characters yelp out Pit Babe at the rate of Sifeng!!!!!!! so I have built an immunity that will serve me well if I venture forward. 💪

In Bliss's defense
Sit down, and look at the pretty water. We need to have a talk.
Tumblr media
Anyone of the PPG fandom, who cares, the hate around Bliss is overrated and leaves a more hurtful message than people realize.
And I was a part of that crowd at some point, but I was wrong, and im calling myself out.
People virtue signaling hate around her always somewhat rubbed me the wrong way, especially when the rant boiled down to "She's pandering to black people!" Erhm, she's dark skinned, so any darker skinned person of any race can identify with her, and in that case...
"so what if she's here for pandering?"
For a decade, the ppg has pandered to white people. There are no diverse people of color from the cast. Also, whenever this topic of "inclusivity in media" comes up, there's this crowd that runs up with their shields wailing, "but kids or 'x crowd' shouldn't care about race! Or the way main character's look! It should be about the message."
And then the 2023 Live Action Little Mermaid came along, and society really showed their true colors.
There were people, who spoke different languages, in the depths of the comments, reprimanding the idea of Halle Bailey playing Ariel. Black people were posting these reaction videos condemning Disney for changing the race of such a "beloved classic" and white people working together to make A.I renditions of "what should have been."
And that is such a traumatic experience that gets gaslit into "if it doesn't matter what Ariels race is, why change her race?"
That question was asked so many times, ironically.
So, Bliss is what happens, when people who are honest about imagery realize their is a lack of a common worldly reality in a popular media. Why not have a dark skinned Powerpuff girl, when younger Dark-skinned girls and boys will definitely watch the show?
Tumblr media
Representation, seriously, does matter. And children of color shouldn't be denied pandering just because, we as a society, have our grandstand hang-ups over 'what is pandering, what is not'.
At this point, we can't tell that non poc characters ARE being pandered, 24/7.
I have a theory that in the late 90's to early 2000's media shifted into white fragility code. Basically it was an unspoken rule of, "if we don't talk about it, it doesn't exist!" It was the height of excluding poc characters. It was the height of reducing poc roles to their stereotypes. It was the height of recognizing "this is the white version, this is the black version."
White people were behind a lot of popular media, and they were very scared to talk about black people. How couldn't they when civil rights and slavery were right up the crack of their asses? Hell, as of September 17th, 2023, Ruby Bridges is still alive and well.
Tumblr media
Yes, her!
I feel like this created an Era of normalization. This notion that "white people can be anything! But people of color must ALWAYS be people of color."
Another day, I will talk about how white people have to shoe horn 'minority tropes' into even their fanatical stories to create empathy, which is always a glaring red flag when I see white people attempting to talk about privellege with monster 'white coded' cartoon characters. But for now, I'll say this.
Bliss' personality is mid at worse.
Okay, so people latched unto the fact that she gets angry as a dark skinned character to dismiss her. Mainly, black people were upset about this.
I'm starting to see the problem with that.
People say that her unique, colorful design is bad.
Subjective, but also their are underlying tones.
People say her story messes up the Powerpuff girls story, which is my biggest red flag.
Okay, let me just get something off my chest.
My fellow black women and girls who are also creators and are creating. Let me remind you.
We, as black women and girls are allowed to portray anger.
Flaws.
Misfortune.
Unattractiveness.
Non conformating ideas.
Trauma.
Etc
And still be interesting, likeable main character's without being urbanized.
This also goes to Poc who are Dark-skinned and non poc who are creating diverse casts.
But mainly black women, as I've learned it's best to give advice, like that, within my own community. It is important that we prioritize our image or else we get .. well, what I'm ranting about.
Anyway, just because a dark skinned person is non urban does not mean they have to be this... precious, agreeable cinnamon bun 24/7.
That makes the most blandest characters.
They have no real stakes nor relatability!
Take some notes from Japanese animation. Japanese people do not focus their stories on 'what it means to be Japanese' 24/7 in anime.
And I'm tired of westerners turning Dark-skinned girls and women into 'sista soldier's ✊️' everytime they need a dilemma on a screen!
Bliss is a cute, fun, character who has temper tantrums that effects her story.
We are allowed to do that! To portray a dark skinned character with conflict! To show that she has flaws!
This isn't a stereotype! What the actual hell!
What would make it a stereotype is if she was being shown in a horrible light. Like she's overly sassy, and that's her only quality. She's been reduced to constantly telling the crowd, "hey, I'm dark skinned! Look, I'm about to do something 'only dark skinned people do', amirite? Amirite?" 😃
Bliss' situation is non color coded. We all know someone who deals with bad news, badly. Hell, Buttercup from the og series is more of a 'stereotype to Black people' then bliss is, and society knows it! When they go to make anyone Dark-skinned, more than likely they'll make it Buttercup. Hell, even the show runners know that shit!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That... is a stereotype.
Because, obviously, the cute bubbly one, can't be black. Nor can the quality leader everyone wants to be.
But the tough one with an attitude? Um, duh!
And I'm not gonna lie, I love me some Buttercup. I'll do an essay on her character someday, but I'm just trying to point out a very real problem.
It's no coincidence that when they wanna shoehorn diversity in, they have no issue choosing Buttercup over and over again.
That in the grander scheme of things, put what it means to be a poc girl, in a box. Very upsetting when you see it for what it is.
Bliss has tempers because it contributes to her story and character arch, two things people creating poc characters are very afraid to do. Because we can't have dark skinned characters with traits that are not outright agreeable.
Tumblr media
Or 100% liberal.
Even though we have a history of white characters that are flawed, controversial, and crass that go down in history as icons.
Because, the reality is, no one likes a black bitch! It's enough if she's black, but now she's a bitch!?
Goes back into my theory of when white fragility was at its height in the early 2000's. All these white bitches were getting movie lead roles and stamps of approval.
WHERE THE HELL WERE THE BLACK BITCHES?
Oh yeah. They were getting urbanized and glorifying dysfunction from within their respective communities 🙄
Not saying white women were always represented in a healthy way, but they were... roles of interest, desirability, nurture, femininity, images of ideal, relatability, etc.
The list goes on.
And that affected the way society views how to create poc. Suddenly, if you don't wanna be offensive, just have a poc being the ambitious voice of reason! If they're not that, they must have a pinch of black characiture and be the most grounded.
Tumblr media
Again, sad really.
So bliss to me, is an okay character. She's cute and funny, and she has an actual story.
Sure there wasn't an original 4th Powerpuff girl, but it's not like she ruins the pre existing story. She's another character introduced with her own narrative. And I can respect that the creators of the 2016 reboot noticed the importance of showing that literally ANYONE can be a Powerpuff Girl, without chickening out and creating another non poc design and minority coding them.
Like, there is an official dark skinned Powerpuff girl. A CANON DARKSKINNED POWERPUFF GIRL. THAT IS AWESOME.
Tumblr media
So good job 2016 reboot. You did something right.

Hey. Stop scrolling for a minute, please, and listen to what I have to say, because it could teach you something, or it could remind you of just how much of an impact you have on someone's life. It is long, but there's a meaning behind it that, if you have time to read it all, will be good for as many people in the world to know as possible.
In the interest of keeping my matters still generally private, I'm going to call the main person in this story C.
C was my second cousin, so the cousin of my father, and she was born around the late 90's to early 2000s. She was born and raised a male, and for many years, lived under the he/him pronouns. Then, shortly after turning the age of 18/19, she set out to make a life for herself by moving.
That was where she transitioned. She had surgery and went through everything without her parents' knowledge, and eventually returned home.
And when she did, it wasn't a happy sight. It was about a year or two ago when it happened and she returned home, and she was met with homophobia and hatred by her parents, disowned and kicked out. Some of her siblings shunned her as well, but one of them took her out of kindness and housed her for a while.
To put it simply and in the most HR-friendly way possible, she died earlier this month of self-inflicted causes. The entire family has taken it to heart, including her parents, homophobic and ally siblings, and all the rest, including me. We will soon go up to her funeral, and no one is sure how she will be dressed in the casket or what name will be on the gravestone. My sister is terrified that when she comes out as she/they, the same could happen to her, or if I came out as aroace, it could happen to me, and I can't promise her it won't. I don't know the future, but I do know that although I did not know C that well, it shouldn't have happened.
She shouldn't have died, she shouldn't have been kicked out, and she shouldn't have had to go through all of that. It's horrible that it happened at all, and I just want to send this out as a warning to anyone and everyone who is in a position like C's parents and siblings were, who are seeing their daughter, their son, their offspring, their brother, their sister, their sibling, whatever.
You have the most important job of all at that moment. You can decide their future, whether they feel secure in their skin or whether they feel unloved and in pain. You decide what their mental state will be like, you decide where they sleep and eat, you decide everything in that singular moment. So please, I beg you, be nice, be kind, and be accepting, because things like this can happen if you don't. And sure, you'll mourn them later, but the sad truth, to put it incredibly bluntly, is that it will be far, far too late.
It may be difficult for you to accept it at first, I know what's second nature to me or my sister can be difficult for others, but we're not asking you to be perfect or to get it right the first few times.
We're asking you to try. We're asking you to respect it and to support it, even if you don't understand it, even if you don't really agree with it, just respect it and try. It goes a long way, and it's not all that difficult.
They went through a lot to get to where they are, and at this point, they just want you to love and accept them. They value your opinion, and they value you, and it can be devastating to hear that all of the 'I love you's you told to them as children were turned on their head just because they are who they want to be.
So, I'm going to leave you with a simple word of advice. Please, take care of the people you love and value and support them, no matter what happens, no matter what changes they go through, because if you don't, you might lose them entirely. And no one wants that.

Commissions are open. ©
Don't repost without permission.
The last fanart of my favorite characters from The Sandman. I really liked Mervyn because of his face animation, it reminded me a lot of those late 90's / early 2000's stop motion animations that were a bit scary but really cool.

For once I'm actually gonna post about an online vinyl purchase!
Today a very cool, obscure record that I ordered a week ago arrived in the mail: Birds of Passage by a Norwegian dream pop band called Bel Canto. This thankfully has the original track order (unlike the Spotify version that horribly mixes all the tracks up...) as well as a lyric sheet too
I highly recommend listening to this album if you've never heard of it. It has this very ethereal feel to it that, unlike other dream pop albums I've listened to, also contains such an intense energy. Kinda reminds me of late 90's/early 2000's video game music at times in ways I can't fully articulate. It's really great, that's all you need to know ✨

The Obey Me! Cast's opinion on Furbies - pt.2 the side characters
repost from my instagram @/simeonsblondepeugot
A/N: Since the original posts on instagram caused a little bit of confusion in the comments, I just wanted to clarify that I am talking about the very first generation(s) of furbies that were released in the late 90s and early 2000s, not the newer ones.
Enjoy!
pt.1: the brothers
Diavolo
team pro-furby
much to both Lucifer and Barbatos' dismay, he's fascinated by furbies
Diavolo thinks they're very cute and incredibly charming and funny
everytime a furby randomly starts to talk near him it makes him laugh
he's started to collect furbies and has already shown interest in trying to customize them
can frequently be spotted talking to Levi and/or Belphie about it
Barbatos
team anti-furby
saying that he can't stand the mere sight of them...is an optimistic way of phrasing things
if he wasn't a demon, he would use holy water on them
furbies remind him of r*ts
he wants them to be banned, to be removed from existence permanently
and the fact that Diavolo has become obsessed with furbies...well...
Solomon
neutral
oh, he and his D.D.D. are just here for a good time
he tries to get as much of the ongoing chaos and drama about the cursing furballs on tape as he possibly can
very much enjoying himself
has no intention of ever choosing a side or doing anything that could possibly end the conflict
Simeon
neutral
Simeon has no intention of stepping in and resolving the situation
to him, it's a 'demon issue' that they need to resolve amongst themselves
may possibly be quite amused seeing Lucifer getting the short end of the stick for a change
he told Luke to stay away from furbies though
Luke
neutral
he's very curious about them ngl
but Simeon forbade him from ever interacting with furbies (because they swear and he fears they might have a bad influence on Luke)
& because of the possibility of accidentally encountering a cursed furby meant for Lucifer
Luke thinks they're very fluffy and cute, but something about their shape and face is just very...off-putting to him

i think i’m on episode 7 or 8! i really really really really really like terry. he’s so…i don’t really have the words to describe him that well bc i’m still learning his character but i do like him a lot and he is my emo bf. bruce wayne could still get it even at his rickety age idc. victor fries (mr. freeze) is one of my fave dc villains, he’s always evil but also teeter tottering on “morally grey” and i like that so i’m so glad he made an appearance this early on in the show. i also really liked inque’s powers and she was really kicking ass like when terry was like “i take it u don’t like water” or smth and then she went into the grout around the pool and blew up the pool or whatever ??? like yeah i was rooting for terry but i have to give credit where credit is due. i also really like the jokerz, not as actual villains but its funny that this random gang of people think they’re evil fr when they could never ever touch the actual jokers level of villainy and even bruce acknowledges that when him and terry are taking them down together. i also really like the art style, it reminds of some of my absolute fave cartoons and it has that late 90s early 2000’s graininess that’s so nostalgic. literally about to get a little snacky snack and then tune in again
-ivysangel
i wanna put terry in my mouth and chew him tbh and he is so emo bf youre right. also calling bruce "rickety" made me blow air out my nose
i do adore mr freeze :) i love that he was included, i especially love his voice actor i think he does such an incredible job with victor fries. my favorite depictions of him always include his aversion to actual crime lords bcos he thinks of them pretentious self assured simpletons. sure he kills people sometimes, but he doesn't suck his own dick about it, hes here with a righteous purpose! telling this shit to himself as if hes not self assured. i dig it. uses his wife as a scapegoat a lot of the time, like when was the last time he asked nora what she wanted? hes so funny
inque! my darling inque. truly her character design is superior. smooth, easy to read. shifts between human and entity. she's very defined as a villain tbh, someone interesting to watch without needing to name drop one of batman's past villains for views, you know? she's sick as fuck tbh, her statements always rock like the pool one.
"its funny that this random gang of people think they’re evil fr when they could never ever touch the actual jokers level of villainy and even bruce acknowledges that" this
i adore the art style, im pretty sure its bcos the same guys that worked on batman: the animated series went on to create batman beyond, so it's familiar. also they and the justice league (2001) + unlimited are a part of the dini-verse/timm-verse which is paul dini and bruce timm who've worked on those projects and exist on one plane.
i hope u enjoy your snacky snack im rly happy youre enjoying the show

Today's compilation:
Now That's What I Call Music! 49 2001 Pop / Teen Pop / Adult Contemporary / R&B / House / Hip Hop / UK Garage / Trance / Dance-Pop / Pop-Rock / Pop-Punk
Finishing out the week by continuing this little UK journey that I've been on recently with a trip back to the middle of 2001. Here we have a double-disc dispatch from the incredibly prolific and pervasive Now That's What I Call Music! series, which is an enterprise that Americans have been deeply familiar with since the late 90s, but Brits have actually known for far longer, since it originally exclusively launched in the UK in 1983, and proved very successful since jump.
youtube
Now, as you could probably guess, there are definitely similarities and differences between the US and UK versions of Now. One, UK installments from the main series are double-disc affairs, but US ones are only single-discs; and two, plenty of hits manage to chart in both places, but a lot of songs also never end up crossing the pond in either direction. And a good portion of the UK hits that don't make it Stateside tend to be electronic and dance tunes. Pretty much since the advent of the acid warehouse parties that took place in the UK during the late 80s, Brits have been far more receptive to that kind of stuff than the US has.
And that brings us to the first song that I really wanna highlight today: British duo Zero 7's totally blissed-out vocal downtempo classic, "Destiny," which features the voice of the one and only Sia. If you're an American, the first time that you were probably ever exposed to the facially-obscured South African superstar was when she dropped "Chandelier" in 2014. But other parts of the world had known her for a lot longer than that, and maybe if you had on the right adult alternative station in the US, or watched MTV2 at the exact right time, you would've caught "Destiny" too, but I think if you had asked 99% of Americans back then if they knew who either Zero 7 or Sia was, they'd have absolutely no idea. This tune is a simply terrific piece of smooth, acoustic guitar-led late 90s downtempo beauty, though, and with some dubby effects on it too, it makes for a real, immaculately melty, sink-into-the-bathtub kind of vibe 😌.
And on the pure dance tip, we've got a few sweet cuts, but nothing really quite hits like Roger Sanchez' "Another Chance." I gotta admit, I kind of somehow forgot about this jam altogether, but it's such a nice slice of early 2000s house, and I'm really thrilled to have been reminded of it again with this comp. Sanchez crafts a lot of this tune by sampling from Toto's 1982 soft rock power ballad, "I Won't Hold You Back," and that includes the voice of the group's lead singer, Steve Lukather, too, whose calm and reflectively plaintive words are made shimmery by Sanchez himself here 😎. "Another Chance" managed its way all the way to the top of both the UK singles and UK dance charts, but it did absolutely nothing in the US, which is a total shame!
Almost everything else that's good and/or fun on this album was also big in the US too, though, and those tunes in particular should give any American who remembers 2001—before that big, main event, of course—a very sweet nostalgia rush indeed. We have one-hit wonder Wheatus' "Teenage Dirtbag," blink-182's "The Rock Show," the different version of U2's "Elevation" that was on the Tomb Raider movie soundtrack, OutKast's "Ms. Jackson," Destiny's Child's "Survivor," Dido's "Thank You," Janet Jackson's "All for You," and Nelly's "Ride Wit Me." So a really fine array of classic, poppy bangers there.
But, folks, we also have to talk about the complete and utter schlock that's on here too, because despite how many enjoyable tracks that are on this thing, there sure are quite a lot of plainly bad ones as well. And most of it appears to be just straight-up British pop, which is not to be confused with the often very good rock genre of Britpop. To be clear, there are definitely superb British-made pop tunes from this early 2000s era, but this 49th installment in the Now series doesn't have any to offer; and I have no idea how or why Geri Halliwell aka Ginger Spice's totally limp cover of The Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men" ever got to be a #1 hit in the UK, but that shit is really e m b a r r a s s i n g, man. And a lot of the rest of this pop sounds like music that was specifically targeted at nine-year-old girls too, so, diabetics, beware, because this stuff is *really* treacly.
Always love to sift through these UK editions of Now because they tend to be a lot more eclectic than their US counterparts, and while putting up a double-disc with every installment increases the chances of getting more good tunes, I also understand that it also naturally opens the door for more crappy filler as well. But at the end of the day, I really can't resist a good chunk of the electronic and dance music that gets put on these things, so if I have to endure some uninspired Spice Girls solo singles along the way, then so be it 😅.
Highlights:

Top 10 “90’s” Sitcoms
For this one, I am excluding sitcoms mainly aimed at children (like Nickelodeon stuff. That will be or is already its own list. I am excluding animated stuff for the same reason. And I am focusing on shows that began in the 90s. It is ok if they went on into the 2000s.
1. Friends
Tumblr media
Sorry, not sorry. It’s timeless, and is my go-to for holiday specials or any time I need cheering up. I will never hesitate to flip to Friends reruns if i see it playing and I don’t know what I want to watch. Most of us see ourselves in one or more of these characters, know someone like them, or have faced some of the same real-world problems they have. It's heart-warming, funny, and endlessly quotable!
2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Tumblr media
This is another one that I will flip to anytime I see it on. The cast of this show made it so special, and I especially love how real it got at times. And who doesn't know all of the words to the theme song still?
3. Home Improvement
Tumblr media
Tim “the tool man” Taylor is an every man. Not particularly skilled, but knows his way around a tool bench. I love the humor in this show (both vocal and physical). It is somewhat of a nod to classic comedy, with many of the old tropes. The supporting cast is really great as well. I can just feel the 90s oozing from this one every time I watch it. Everything about it screams 90s! And there’s LOTS of plaid, too! I love all of that. I love being reminded of my life growing up a 90s kid!
4. The King Of Queens
Tumblr media
This one also takes me back to the late 90s and early 2000s. I crack up so much watching it. Doug is relatable in so many ways, Arthur is a loveable nut, and Carrie’s wit is the best! I especially like seeing who will guest star in each episode. I mean, Lou freaking Ferrigno is their neighbor!!!
5. Boy Meets World
Tumblr media
There's not much I can say about this one that hasn't been echoed by 90s kids all over the internet. It's the quintessential show of our generation! Cory and Shawn are friendship goals. Cory and Topanga are among the top couples of our time. Eric's, well, Eric! And Mr. Feeny is the absolute best!
6. Sabrina The Teenage Witch
Tumblr media
I have always had an interest in witches and the supernatural. Seeing that in a sitcom was fun! Bewitched did it for the elder generations, but STTW was the one for 90s kids. Melissa Joan Hart just had IT. And Salem is the king of shade and sarcasm!
7. That 70’s Show
Tumblr media
The 70s (decade) has always kind of been "meh" to me. But That 70s Show made it seems cooler somehow. I think most of the credit goes to great acting and fun storylines. I found parts of myself in many of the characters. And I absolutely adore all of the pop culture references!
8. Everybody Loves Raymond
Tumblr media
I've been slow binging this one for a while now. I always enjoyed it, but binging through it has made me appreciate it that much more. There's not one single person in the Barone family that I don't LOVE. I even find myself struggling to decide who my "favorite" is. They're all so great! It's not too often that you get a show where the entire cast is equal parts witty and sarcastic! The crossovers with The King of Queens are great, too.
9. The Nanny
Tumblr media
Nanny Fine has the voice of an angel...just kidding, it’s the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard! But I enjoy the character otherwise. I love that she doesn’t follow rules and does whatever she wants to do. The Will they wont they with her and Max goes on for forever, but it's a fun ride. I like the supporting cast as well. Particularly Niles. He's always on hand with a great insult!
10. Martin
Tumblr media
A show where Martin Lawrence plays the titular character? Yes, please! Martin Payne is every bit witty as he is filter-less! Nothing beats him picking on Pam in nearly every episode. Or oftentimes even hurling insults at his best friend, Tommy. And who could forget Tisha Campbell as Gina? She's the perfect counterpart to Martin.

Hi angel ♡ tbh I feel so happy lately, thanks for asking I hope you are well too ❀ tysm for sending your question!

cards -> six of coups, five of swords, ace of swords, the judgment, eight of pentacles, five of coups and ten of swords
First of all I pictured a little boy, it doesn’t mean that it’s a boy, it could simply mean that your future child projects a masculine energy, but to make all this more "easier" to read, I’m going to use the pronouns he/him if it’s okey with you :)
Your future child is a rockstar! Haha, he has such a unique personality
The little boy I pictured was sitting on a toy motorbike for babies, he was wearing sunglasses and a red and gray cap and the song that says “they see me rollin” was playing, like he was in his moment to shine haha
While I was shuffling the cards in the background the song "Kool kids" by Maneskin was playing and with that song I could feel all his energy and personality, he will be so liberal (he will not be conservative at all) he will be very authentic in his ideas, this perception of fighting for rights is very strong and important for him. The way he will think/his ideals in life reminds me a lot of how Hobie Brown thinks ( the spiderman character) I heard: “I don't believe in the government”
I asked for a celebrity who had a similarity to his personality and immediately thought of Jin from BTS (I also thought of Alex Turner but from my perspective Jin resonates more) His personality is very similar to Jin's because Jin is so spontaneous, he's extremely funny, he can literally make a joke out of everything, he's sarcastic, Jin doesn't care if people don't laugh at his jokes, as long as he likes his own jokes, everything is fine, you don't know what Jin's next move will be, and everything I just said, your future child has it in his personality. Jin can also be a bit dramatic at times, your child will be like that too. He won't care what other people say
I feel that he can be that type of child who tells you super random facts about super random topics or topics that you have never discussed with him before, past lives? reincarnations? I heard this: “like mom, do you remember when I used to live in France?” (that was so random haha)
Another thing that reminds me a lot of his personality are the songs from the 90's and the early 2000's, specifically the raps, songs with the same vibe as the artist 50 cent. Maybe he will really like songs from that specific era.
This part of the song “Video games” by Lana del Rey "heaven is a place on earth with you" I felt it as a message from him to you, I felt a very beautiful energy when I heard that part of the song
Tumblr media
Fine China by Chris Brown ☆ Power by Little Mix ☆ Go go by BTS ☆ Kool kids by Maneskin ☆ Hello you by Arctic Monkeys ☆ Gang over you by Brent Faiyaz ☆ Ice ice baby by Vanilla Ice ☆ Always on my mind by Brandy ☆ Video games by Lana del Rey ☆ You know how we do by Ice Cube ☆ Hey ya by Outkast ☆
Important things of this reading -> the number 5 and the number 32 seems to be important, 222, 90’s music, r&b and rap, “punk”, motorcycle, planet Pluto, Eminem?
Tumblr media
It was a pleasure doing your reading, I hope you enjoy it!

wow. that was a roller coaster. pan seems exhausting to be around, but even more so, it seems exhausting to be him. my heart just aches for him.
spoiler-y comments below the cut. and feel free to message/ask me if you want content warnings for this episode.
+ I'm glad that Bew and Gus were defending him to the press at the end. At least I think that's what they were doing, unless it was all backhanded compliments somehow - their managers looked suspiciously conspiratorial. But I really hope they were genuinely defending him. I just want my poor broken boy to have more people on his side - he's so lonely and alone.
+ Pan's phone call with his mom broke my heart. 💔
+ that ending was a genuine twist for me! I was not expecting that Nott would have slept with Pharaoh/Fang. Although in retrospect it makes sense. Nott is kind of a mess too, albeit more contained than Pan, and we've already seen his chaos when he's acting out out of jealousy.
+ but why were they having that big confrontation in public? was it a deliberate strategy of Pan's to publicly call out Koon? or just more of his self-destructive impulsiveness?
+ Relatedly, I'm really impressed with Billy's acting here. Pan is the showier part, but Nott feels very real. And even though there's a lot of overlap with Nuea from Secret Crush on You, Nott feels like an entirely different person, just from the subtle way that Billy is embodying him.
+ For the last episode, it looks like we'll be digging into the weeds of the exploitation of young actors/idols/models. This subsection of the series could have gone in a lot of different directions, but it feels right that it's (seemingly) ending with that. I do hope that Nott and Pan are allied as a team for most of it, my heart just can't take it when he's abandoned and all alone. Even when it's because he's pushing people away.
+ I was expecting to get more of Candy after the first episode - I initially had her pegged as the villain of the piece. I wonder if she will reappear in the final episode or if she was always unimportant.
+ the actor who plays the producer that's always hanging around on set reminds me so much of someone else, and I can't for the life of me figure out who. not even another actor necessarily. some dancer? some teen heartthrob from the late 90's/early 2000's? someone from my real life and not a famous person at all? I'm distracted by trying to figure it out whenever he appears in a scene.
