vase of flowers
she is a vase of flowers
fragile and sweet
her colors are pretty but her stem is weak
delicate petals that are ready to fall
the vase needs no water, her tears fill it all
she lifts up her face to soak up the sun
but inside she is tired of being so numb
she once was free with growing strong roots
but then someone trampled her
with brawny brown boots
he plucked her up, cracking the ground
she shrieked at the pain, but there was no sound
now she leans against the glass of her vase
drooping her head to hide her face
she misses the earth, the bugs, the trees
now dust settles on her thin tired leaves
finally, she wilts and she moans and she dies
no one around her to hear her cries
a flower once beautiful, true, and tall
placed in a room with no love at all
i wrote this song yesterday without a clear idea of what i wanted to say. i still don't know who it is meant for. perhaps i'm just talking to myself. the sentence i repeat at the end means "please forgive me".
Okay so I remade that guitar song thing, and extended it into this, it sounded like sad/emotional so I guess it’s gonna be an emotional dubstep sort of song, but for now have a piano sneak peek!
using “Claustrophobic Piano” by Christian Henson over on pianobook. i haven’t gotten to write something to completion in a long time and this is just. refreshing.
