my least favorite thing about Worm is how the fandom acts like it's so inventive. "Powers are based of trauma and it's a deconstruction of traumaa" dude that might literally be THE OLDEST SUPERHERO TROPE THERE IS. Marvel has done it. DC has done it. Brandon Sanderson has done it. Dune does it. I could go on and on. "The way he uses powers are so inventive, read worm if you want to see how a hero wins with a weak power." Having complete control of all insects in a wide area, including poisonous ones, and being able to see and sense through them IS NOT WEAK AT ALL. The fights read like you took the battle to reddit and reddit decided, they don't feel natural at all. Comic books have been using unique powers creatively for years. Read 60s era Marvel comics by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee and you'll see way more unique stuff. Also, despite being made in the 60s, it's way less fucking racist. Why?? And then we have "oh but the characters are so good". They are just not. Give me almost any character and I could find you it better executed in another media. The worm fandom is just so snooty when it comes to other cape media, but it's clear they've never interacted with it because they think Wildbow invented the wheel.

Spider-Man: The Master Weaver

Just a custom suit I made with Spidey in a similar robe to Dr. Strange, with a bit of his webheaded flair built and embedded into it. The name Master Weaver came from the original Spider-Verse storyline in 2014, and since the Spider-Verse has already been established, it would make sense to see a version of Spider-Man like this, aside from Madame Web of course since she’s on a whole different level.
