11/18/22 wt 251
Had a salty meal last night, so I'm not worried about the weight.
Making last week's taco meat into this week's veggie chili. It is in the crock pot.
Pic below is my lunch, and my wild outdoor cat.
Did a 5k on elliptical on my lunch break.
Yes, the cat came in. I don't like him outside & it is bitterly cold. He was following me around as I did chores.

advice? <3
okay, random share but my secret to working out regularly and going hard af or when not doing a full workout and just some pushups on my break is to imagine i’m doing it in front of my fictional crush. laugh all you want but SHIT WORKS!!!! never been more consistent and happily so in all my life. also bit of a silly ego boost some how. i know my imagination has no bounds. #WillGraham would be proud. lol THIS IS MY DESIGN, but i share it with you. honestly i do this for everything now. imagine your hero or crush is watching you study, your posture is better, you dont distracted, write neater, try harder. just try it and tell me it dont do something different for you. all of the secret history squad (that i like NOT the losers like Charles creepy ass) and the goldfinch (theo and boris) aaaand Donna Tartt herself watches over me and tisk me everytime i fuckin suck lmfaoooo. (also ngl nigel and alex from like minds/murderous intent be there too but like straight up being mean af if i fuck up and go off course.) i even started to more consistently get dressed as if i was meeting them for studies/work which probs also helps my confidence.
(side note i dont see or hear anything im not delusional its just a bit of a passive way of playing with my imagination and working my brain in a creative way while doing what i already have to.)

The Cost of Ambition:
Late Nights, Early Mornings
Lots of associates, very few friends.
You will be misunderstood.
You will be single, unless you’re lucky to find someone who understands your lifestyle.
People want you to do good but never better than them.
People would rather put you down, than uplift you.
You will be challenged.
You may even have to prove yourself.
Mindset is everything.
It can be negative and positive.

Today, I want to talk about the “why” behind consistency in attaining success. If you struggle with consistency & it inhibits your ability to acheive your goals, I urge you to reconsider why you are seeking a certain result. Our motivations are what propel us during times in which we don’t feel like upholding our goal. For example, when a workout starts to feel dreadful, taunting you to quit, it is paramount to dig deep and pull strength from your deeply-held motivations. Strong motivations—ones that we truly believe in and agree with—keep us going during times of uncertainty. A solid foundation upholding your goals begins with a reason for seeking a particular achievement, and it is ultimately the strength of that reason that is called into question in the face of adversity. Accordingly, the best way to achieve a desired result is to have a really, really good reason for doing so. The more time and consideration dedicated to considering the “why” of your motivations, the more likely they are to hold value personal to you.

11/16/22 Wt 251.8
Now I know the number. Not super higher than my pre period weight- Thank heavens. I would feel more comfortable under 250.
I CAN DO IT.
Tumblr media
What can I do today that will help ensure my success?
Basically just don't binge. That is all I need to do. Treats are ok, just stick with a serving and pair with a protein.
I have an eyelash appt at 2, and will work before and after the appointment.
I do plan to fill the bird feeders and try to fill my tires prior to leaving. And add some weight in the back to help traction.
There is a herbistore next door that I have been going to for a shake afterwards. Special treat, but like 200 cals, so not terribly indulgent.
I have some veggies prepped for meals. Stir fry + the Turkey stew thingie.
I have a "pasta" salad ready to go. Shirataki + veggies.
Plenty of protein rich foods in the fridge. Yogurts. Eggs.
Coffee is made and ready to go. Death Wish Pumpkin Chai. 🎃
Wide variety of seasonal tea available if I so choose. Lots of water available too!!
I know all this stuff. Like... I know know know it. 20+ years of knowledge. Put it into action. What is stopping you from achieving your goals?
Get out of your own way!!!!!!!!!!!!
Belief Framework:
I could end the year 10-20 pounds lighter.
Other people do, surely I am no worse than them.
It is easily achievable to lose 1-2 pounds a week.
I am capable of doing hard things.
I am capable of saying No to foods that do not align with my goals.
I have so much delicious food available, I just need to cook it myself so that I know the ingredients.
I am capable of being consistent with exercise, as I have been proving. 20-30 min elliptical and some biking while watching TV help me to achieve my goals.
Before you eat something, remember HALT. [Are you hungry, angry, lonely, or tired? Depending on your answer, you may need to change your path to suit what you really need. Like really really need.]

#3 How nurses show compassion
The four pillars of medicine! AKA, the medical ethics.
We have..
Beneficence (doing good)
Non-maleficence (to do no harm)
Autonomy (giving the patient the freedom to choose freely, where they are able)
Justice (ensuring fairness)
I believe that all of those who enter the medical field hold a deep compassion for people, or at least start off with one. The motivation it takes to study and continue in the medical field is a complex one; some might say it's the altruism that motivates them, but such a phrase is often said without heart (but only for those without true experience). Personally, I want people to feel less lonely. I want people to understand things about themselves, not to be scared of their body but to admire how ruthlessly it works to keep you alive - even if it accidentally kills something else of you in the process. I say this because I think that everyone goes through a phase (ever-lasting or short-lived) where your body confuses you, and then even your brain gets caught up in all that mess. I want to give someone a chance to be listened to regarding their problems, allow them the respect they deserve. Hopefully, one day, I'll be working in the medical field and I'll be able to contribute to that system of people, alongside those who need my care. Then, I want to "fix" the brain for what is wrong.
Incase you were wondering, I want to be a neurologist.
In fact, I think the way I'm thinking there shows a decent amount of compassion!
Nursing is far more than shadowing a top-notch doctor, it's caring for the patients in the way that you might care for a close friend. It's amazing how many healthy relationship attributes can apply to being a nurse.
Sometimes, a nurse might hold your hand when you're feeling lonely. They have to maintain their composure, their positive attitude even when they're down, and medicine is by ungodly measures one of the most stressful things; I'm sure of that. It's only when they're in private or with other co-workers outside of working attitudes where they can show themselves out to be this kind, patient and adoring human being. I've even met a nurse who told me to "get out while I can" because I am so sincerely focused on an education with medicine. I took her words to heart, but I haven't let them steer me off my goal. After all, even then, all she chose to provide me with was advice: and in a bittersweet way, it provided further value to her and many other more nurses in the industry.
It's the smallest gestures that make the biggest difference - especially for those who are not used to such treatment be it in their isolation or in their upbringing. Patience, understanding, that acute sense of empathy.
I should only hope that our nurses receive the same treatment.
