Our world is becoming increasingly filled with distraction. Information moves faster, louder, and brighter than ever before. Entertainment, social media, and marketing have never been so prevalent. They beg for our attention and our focus. In so doing, our minds are diverted from more important work.
However, these distractions are easy to notice. After all, the battle plays out in front of us each day.
Far more detrimental to our lives are the subtle distractions that quietly surround us. They are not announced with blinking lights or beeping sounds. In fact, they have become so commonplace and ever-present, we hardly even notice their existence. But these distractions take residence in our mind and wreak havoc on our pursuits. And in the end, it keeps us from living our lives to its greatest potential.

personal goals for 2023
these are in no particular order~
physical, mental, spiritual and financial stability
yoga + exercise at least twice a week
accepting every part of myself and setting boundaries
more time to rest and recover from burnout
showing up for those i care for without overextending myself
sobriety
finding the right platforms to promote my creative businesses
creating more good memories with my family and friends
healthier eating
honing my digital art and animation skills
walking, talking, & existing like the woman i’ve always wanted to be
starting on my half-arm tattoo sleeves
gaining more social standing for networking purposes
building a better relationship with myself, including but not limited to more positive self-talk
road trip with my friends and/or family
taking myself out on dates, buying myself flowers & sweet gifts, & overall setting the standard for how i want to be treated in a relationship
starting my (very successful) creative business journey
moving into a new, high-quality yet affordable apartment
buying a pc + tablet for writing, drawing, animating, and gaming
being more active on social media to boost my confidence (only posting what i like regardless of how popular i think it’ll be!)
learning astrology, tarot, energy reading, and other spiritual disciplines
learning photography and cinematography
last, but most certainly not least, staying positive no matter what happens. no matter how hard life hits me, i’ll hit it right back 10x harder!
remember, you’ve had the same vision your whole life. the life you want for yourself and those you love is not too good for you, and it’s not too far out of reach. discipline is key! self-love, rest, and determination are solid foundations. keep going no matter what! the universe will align everything for you 💗✨

My focus for the next month needs to be working on my beliefs and focusing.
I am so close to the lightest I have ever been as an adult!
That is exciting and a little terrifying. It's the terror I need to work on. The suddenly becoming visible to people.
I realize I have used fatness as an invisibility cloak.
I am taking that cloak off. Intentionally and with purpose.
I deserve to live in a world where I am seen, religious background be damned.
Meal pics below from my keto-ish day. That light n fit yogurt does not really fit keto macros and I have so much of it. Arg.
The eggs is what I lovingly call truckers eggs. My favorite truck stop meal used to be the hashbrowns with all the fixings. Onion, mushrooms, ham, peppers & eggs. Back 13-14 years ago I developed a way to make it with all the flavor and none of the hashbrown.

*hitting you with a stick* no benoit blanc movies should not interact. they should not lead up to something. you need to detox from the marvel/sherlock bbc poisoning. they should be completely independent movies (maybe w some cameos/little references for fun) and go on for as long as there are stories rian johnson wants to tell in this universe. i do not want an overarching plot i do not want a team up i dont want a benoit-focused prequel i want some good old fashioned episodic murder mysteries that have nothing to do with each other!!!!!!!!!!! also rian johnson has literally said he's not gonna do a prequel and he wants the movies to all stand on their own
addendum 1: by "marvel/sherlock bbc poisoning" i dont mean that those caused this over-serialization, but i think they are partially responsible for why audiences are expecting it. learn to engage w murder mysteries on the genre's own terms
addendum 2: idc what headcanons you have. i actively encourage you to write fanfic about marta and helen solving crime if you wanna. that is literally what fanfiction is for my guy! if you want to know how phillip and benoit met THAT IS WHY FANFIC EXISTS

Triggers✨✨✨
Triggers can come in many shapes and sizes. Triggers are a form of trauma to where you get a feeling or even a flashback about something that triggered you. Some examples of triggers can be yelling, screaming, arguing, or even a form of touch. It can be emotionally, physically, mentally, verbally, or even sexually. For example one of the triggers is touching. Sometimes I hate it when a person touches me. I am not really a person that likes to be hugged but I will give hugs when I feel like it. Another one is yelling I absolutely hate it when someone yells at me. It will make me want to cry if I hear you yelling at someone or even if you are yelling at me.

I wonder what larger structural factors contribute to this widespread relationship people have to higher education. maybe this guy can use his big beautiful humanities degree to explain it to us

Cravings were at zero yesterday, thank God.
I do continue to take alot of supplements.
Recent addition for cravings is L-glutamine.
Tried to track my calories- half assed, basically but did try to do better. Higher protein, added fiber. Stopping the crazy nonplanned [binge style] eating is the primary goal as this is a super unhealthy state.
Focus on stress reduction also.
Had ham & scalloped instead of my planned tuna sandwich tho.
Did not workout. Focused on my chores, some reading and my mom's health.
Which is what I NEEDED.

Do the things in your life that help to make you happy. Whether that means trying out a new product or picking up a new hobby. Do what gives you joy. Journal put your feelings. Sometimes we don’t know how to express ourselves so express yourself by writing it down. You can even draw it out. It’s time for you to find the greater things in life.
