Jungwon

Yeah so what im getting is that off camera he's a very traditional guy with traditional values here and there he shares it, off camera he still can be a bit reckless like all the kpop idols, cause we all know they're humans. A little neglectful. But even the cards say a leader lmao. Still witty, sometimes daring, very like single- minded. But ja

He's a balanced guy off camera and has a little bit of patience and calmness. It's like he doesn't let things get to him, but he only gets to himself. If you know what I mean.

Overall pretty good tbh.

Heesung

Okay damn, so off camera he is practical, logical, hard worker, making his dreams come true, but at the same time extremely chaotic, which causes him to like go home take a shower and think deep about what he has done and how chaotic shit is. Very pessimistic too which causes him to be very nasty at times and make cruel comments, bad at communicating too.

He's a good person deep down and he means well, but communication skills are bad and he's too focused on the bad and being perfect.

Jay

Okay so he's very in his head a lot and he's so in his head that he misses good opportunities for him and he even refuses some offers to him, idk if it's pettiness or just because he's so stuck in his head, but he had a lot of nurturing and creative energy, not shocked from all his Taurus placements.

But he's more on guard and tries to think before he speaks and tries to not get into arguments. But ja sometimes he questions things a lot. Too in his head, but nothing too bad. He should just get out of his head otherwise depression starts.

Overall chill, but ja something he should work on.

Jake

So I feel like off camera he does have a lack of enthusiasm and gets bored easily and has a blocked creative side. Idk what stopping it but I think he's fixing it rn. He's overcoming obstacles and has self-discipline and some will power in him.

He's too focused on materialistic things and I feel like he feels trapped, but I think he out himself in that trap not gonna lie, he tries to avoid these problems but I think he realized he can't now.

Now he's getting over his addictions and gaining control again. Yaya yaya

Sunghoon

Idk this is confusing, so he can be very nasty and abuse his power and be a bitch, but still very emotional like nice and kindness and shit, womanizer bro. Anyways. He might break a lot of his promises

He has a lot of options and he procratinates a lot and has a lack of enthusiasm, I don't blame him.

But he's very controlling ngl and abusive, or abuses his power. He seriously needs to get a grip of himself.

Sunoo

So off camera he is still very cheerful, optimistic, confident and had a high self-esteem. But he can be a little relentless and be emotionally cold to some people and be like cold and gone.

He can be very indecisive and he holds onto his fears and anxiety a lot. But that's not all he holds on to, he holds on top people, his belongings, ect ect.

A little stingy ngl and ja very possessive.

Niki

Ngl I can imagine, he basically doesn't even have a proper teenage fun years. He has blocked emotions and stuff. Shame man he just needs more friends and people that will hear him

turns out a little girl was lost between the tall aisles

renjun is a lil bewildered cause what is he supposed to do? not like he’s tall enough to see other the aisles in his dreams maybe

but you seem to know EXACTLY what to do as you crouch down in front of the girl and speak to her so gently not even renjun can hear properly

and then as if nothing happened she stops crying

just like that so renjun decides to try his luck too o｜◕ˇ▽ˇ◕｜ツ

“come on, let’s go find mommy and daddy”

and lemme tell ya the little girl sprung into your arms and clung to you with everything she had as she mumbled into your neck

and that’s how you end up taking a stroll to the announcement desk with a whole child gripping onto your hand

thankfully it didn’t take long for the parents to run over and thank you for returning their child safely but there was only one problem left

getting her to let go of you

poor renjun was left exhausted after this he gave up any grocery run he intended to do and dragged you home pronto (ﾉTдT)ﾉ

he admires you so much for how you handled the situation and how you seemed to be so natural and in your element he can only think of how great of a mother you will be in the future with his beside you hopefully

one word, his greatest asset: PATIENCE

i see jeno as a man of patience which is more than just helpful when it comes to handling children ❀.(*´◡`*)❀.

he’s also volunteered in all these programs that involved children and he did really well if you ask me soooo he’s a good ally to have (︶.̮︶✽)

and you really REALLY want to volunteer together at one of those like emergency centres for children or something

warns you that the new kid, a little girl still in primary school, is still very closed off and wary of everyone

he knows that you just have a way with people, he’s been in the same position mesmerized by you, it’s one of the reasons he loves you so much and seeing you so purely happy surrounded by children

eventually you drag him into the happy circle too and he seems to fit in just right by your side with giggling children everywhere around you

you just giggle as you colour some pictures with a few kids but stare at your boyfriend from the corner of your eye

jeno is so simply happy and comfortable he doesn’t even notice when you disappear from the crowd at first

but then he spots you

so when you coddle the baby in your arms and just gently bounce him a little he just settles down so cutely and most important QUIETLY as he stares up at you with curious eyes, small fingers curling up around a necklace swung around your neck or just the fabric of your shirt

HOW DID YOU JUST DO THAT!!!!

and he watches with eyes even more curious than his nephew’s eyes as the baby slowly dozes off peacefully in your arms (꒡ ω ꒡ )zzz

it just hits him just how natural the scene looks

he approaches carefully once he’s sure his nephew fell asleep and lays a gentle hand on your head as he peers down at the cute chubby baby face

“you’re a life saver, how did you even manage to do that?” ◎ܫ◎

“you know, i have to take care of you all the time so-”

he flicks your forehead faster than you can finish that sentence

way to ruin a moment (oT-T)

but *SIKEEE* the baby fusses a little as soon as you frown and chenle immediately freaks out

he showers the spot on your forehead with kisses and his nephew settles down once again as you smile at him proudly ໒( ͡ᵔ ▾ ͡ᵔ )७

chenle rolls his eyes as if he doesn’t wish for this scene to become familiar to him sometime in the future

Park Jisung

this chick is still a baby who barely hatched

so he’s still in CONSTANT WONDER of the world ༼ つ ◕o◕ ༽つ

and in this episode of ‘jisung the explorer’ he’s discovering... ACTUAL babies

so you were on a date at the local mall when you met with a family friend of your mom’s who was struggling with her fussy baby girl in a carrier while trying to shop for some baby products

so you offer to watch over the girl until her mom finishes up (•́⌄•́๑)૭✧

but just as you’re about to attach the baby carrier to yourself, an old woman asks for directions around the shop

so you pass the baby to jisung for literally a minute to show the lady the way └(>ω<。)┐

and jisung is HIGHKEY PANICKED

he holds the baby by the underarms at arms length and obviously she doesn’t enjoy that and just starts wailing in the middle of the shop

and people just... stare (,Ծ_Ծ,)

and jisung is all like ‘IT’S NOT MINE!!!!! AND I’M NOT STEALING OR MISTREATING IT EITHER!!!!!!’

the moment you’re back in his sight, he’s THRUSTING that tiny loud bald creature in your arms it’s a child jisung ║ * ರ Ĺ̯ ರ * ║

and he expects for you to panic too but right away

the baby quietens down as you cuddle her close to your chest and coo softly in a hushed baby voice

and she plays with your shirt while you glare at your boyfriend (눈_눈)

“y/n, you sorcerer, how did you just shut it off?”

“i didn’t ‘shut it off’, she’s a baby not a tape recorder”

“oh REALLY, i couldn’t tell the difference for a moment there”

you just might consider returning jisung and keeping the baby（ ಠωಠ）

he watches in wonder as you entertain the baby for the next few minutes until her mother comes back

and he swears his heart skips a beat when he sees your smile widen with tenderness once you get a small giggle out of the baby (*ฅ́˘ฅ̀*)

he supposes maybe she isn’t so bad since she makes you so happy

even though she was louder than even chenle which is an accomplishment at this point

and when jisung notices your slight pout once you gave the baby back and parted ways he makes sure to shower your face in kisses until you regain the same smile that made him fall so deep in love with you

I'm not even gonna think about getting another dog anymore. I'm probably just gonna fuck it up anyway, just like Oscar. Sure, he had problems to begin with, but I probably have only made things worse instead of better. I don't think I'm cut out for this. Oscar's issues have been so frustrating. I have no patience anymore. I know sometimes I'm kinda mean to him because I get mad pretty quickly now. I know getting mad at him doesn't help. I know I've reached the end of my rope. My bucket is as full as his is. Training him has become bad for my own mental health tbh. I'm not equipped to deal with his issues and I have done the best I can with what I have, but it isn't enough. I don't have the knowledge or the tools to properly help him so when we do train it's like we are struggling to stay above water. We are just flailing around and not making any progress. I'm obviously not a dog person. I should just stick to cats. I never had any issues or feelings like this until we got Oscar. I've had dogs before and never felt like this. I don't know if it's that I've just changed or if Oscar has changed me. Also now I'm fucking terrified of any dog that isn't mine because of him. Because of all the times we have been rushed by loose dogs and almost attacked. Now every single dog I don't know fucking scares me and I don't trust them. Idk I just feel like I need a break away from Oscar for a while and when I come back I want him to just be better. But that won't happen because I can't afford to send him to any board and train thing and no one else in my life here is going to do a better job than I have with him so I just feel like it's hopeless and now I'll never be able to have another dog because I just don't have the patience that a dog needs. I feel like having Oscar has ruined me. If anyone needs someone to tell them not to impulse get a dog who's history you know nothing about, I'll fucking tell you. We found Oscar. He was a stray. We decided to keep him because I was so desperate for a dog and I craved that kind of companionship so badly, but Oscar was not the right dog to bring home. He is not right for me. I'm just done. I'm done and I can't do it anymore. I'm tired and miserable. I'm a shit dog owner. I know that. Please no one try to reassure me that I'm not. I know what the facts are here. I know my actions have been the wrong ones. I know I've been stupid. A big part of why I left dogblr was because I knew I was doing a bad job and I have felt so inadequate for a long time. I see everyone else's perfect dogs and how easy it seems for them. How little they struggle with their dogs. And I see them all interacting with each other and talking and being friends and despite trying to reach out to other dogblrs I could never really make a connection with very many people. I felt alone and rejected by many and I felt like a fraud because I was struggling so much with my dog and nothing was progressing. Also I got lazy and wasn't taking or editing photos. And not just of him, of everything. I just don't have the energy or motivation for that much anymore. Or the money for film. But yeah I feel hopeless and very very bad. I feel like a terrible person. And I feel like if we did get another dog I'd be just as short fused and frustrated with it as Oscar and everyone would think so poorly of me because it isn't any different than this other dog that I've already failed. It doesn't feel like it'll ever get better or easier and this is just how it is. I know Oscar's issues are definitely not novice dog owner things, but at this point I feel like anything is going to be too much.

Natasha, there’d be no questions asked. No guilting afterwords for whatever it was. Clint would mock me for my pain too much, Tony would go all overprotective Irondad on me, Steve would exude so much American Disapproval I’d probably just shoot myself to get away from it. Bruce is never to be called ever for anything other than a hug. Pepper maybe but also she’s very busy and needs a nap. Sam maybe but depending on how in trouble I am he might not be able to help. Sam with Scott and Hope. Thor would cause too much of a mess. Loki would just get me into more trouble. T’Challa is too busy for my shit and would just say no. Shuri would laugh at me, Okoye would be sooo done with all of it. Wanda maybe yeah but she’s not very covert and would end up causing some kind of scandal. Pietro would get me out of trouble and then promptly get me into even more trouble. Vision would try his best but who knows how that would end. Bucky would hurt people very badly and it would be a very bloody ordeal full of screaming and trauma, but hey, he’s trying. Janet honestly, if we’re talking OG Avengers would be a good person to call if Nat isn’t available, she’s great in a crisis, can talk her way out of everything and is also brilliant.

Probably Clint or Pietro. Most likely Clint cause Pietro would just leave me to take the heat, Loki would never get caught in the first place, Tony doesn’t get arrested. He’s Tony. But Clint? Yeah. Or Scott, tbh. Although in the first it would be Clint’s fault totally, in the second only like 50 percent Scott’s fault.

Basketball: which Avenger do you pick first for your team?

Not Thor, he doesn’t get the game very well and there would definitely be lightning involved. Steve doesn’t get basketball, Bucky would refuse to play, sam with Nat...hmmm. Sam probably. He’s normal enough to get it, athletic enough to be good at it and friendly enough to have fun. Everyone else honestly would be a hot mess. Peter maybe? Sam or Peter.

Nat is a horrible matchmaker, so choosing her as a wingwoman comes with a lot of risks. She’ll get very invested and weirdly competitive about the whole thing. Clint would be very eager but generally kind of shit at it. Tony is too distracting to be anyone’s wingman. Rhodey honestly would be perfect. I choose Rhodey.

Tony, it would be a night full of bad decisions of badness and Rhodey and Pepper would scold us thoroughly. Mostly Tony, he’s a very bad influence.

You are on a road trip, which Avenger do you ride with?

Mmmm, I don’t know. Tony would have great taste in music but no patience at all and would eventually drive me crazy. Natasha would insist on silence and/or weird russian music. Clint would be a good road trip buddy, great conversation, good snacks. Peter too, also Sam because you need a responsible adult. Thor doesn’t understand what you mean by ‘roadtrip’ why not just fly? Steve would suck honestly, like a roadtrip with your overly responsible dad. Wade would be fun, but also very dangerous, we might end up dead. Scott would be a good road trip buddy, Quill as well I mean he’s got some pretty great music.

Idk if I could just pick one. But honestly I’d go on a roadtrip with Clint and Quill and then drag Sam along kicking and screaming because we need a grown up to make sure we don’t die.

Carol. Mmm, definitely Carol. Or Doctor Strange. I feel like he’d be a good time.

Scott, he’s a good concert buddy, he’s got that fun dad energy and would definitely rock out with you to whatever, he’s just happy to be there.

Pepper, she’s got impeccable fashion sense perfectly suited to the person. Tony would insist I dress like he wanted me to dress and everyone else is kind of a disaster fashion-wise. Like Comic-Wanda is very red-hippie-cleavage and it works for her but she doesn’t relate well enough to others to be able to give advice of any kind.

Peter, a hundred percent. He is the Goodest Boi (tm), and everyone would immediately fall in love with him. It is science. Lowkey though I’d want to bring Natasha or Carol just to scandalize some people. Like hello yes here is my Murder Girlfriend, she does bite so watch your hands.

Bruce. He’s good at this sort of thing, and it doesn’t involve hulking or smashing so he’d be down to babysit the injured person. Also he’s super chill to hang with so bonus.

Mm, not Tony he’s not clean. Pepper would do it but I would feel bad. Bruce no, Clint definite no, Natasha would probably stab me for asking. Sam would guilt me into cleaning it myself. One doesn’t ask such things of Bucky honestly. Vision would try but I don’t think it would go well unless you like all your stuff put in weird places. Same with Wanda, Pietro would just fuck with you. Honestly Steve. Cause I could definitely trick him into doing it, would feel absolutely no guilt whatsoever and if he got upset I could just say it’s his fault for being gullible.

You want to play a prank on the team but need help, which Avenger do you pick to help you prank the rest of the team?

Clint or Peter. Or Clint and Peter.

Tony is terrible to buy for until you realize all you have to do is draw him a heartfelt picture and he’ll cry. Pepper is a nightmare to shop for. Natasha as well. Bruce wants infinite comfort items. Fuck Steve. Anything you get Bucky will be received with lowkey tears. T’Challa, don’t even try honestly. Get Peter something funny and spider themed and you’re good. Sam eh, no matter what he’d be polite about it. Thor would honestly be the easiest. I could get that guy socks and he’d be so fucking touched, wear them everywhere and brag to all the other avengers about his cool poptart socks.

You are going on a mission but only one other person can go, which Avenger are you taking with you?

It would depend on the mission. Anything politically tricky that would require tact and know-how I’d take either Natasha or Tony. Tony if it was well publicized because he has the most experience with the media and Natasha if it was more covert because she has the most experience dealing with murky politics of that sort. Anything to do with stealing I’d take Janet, Hope or Scott. Probably just Scott. Not Bruce, he only goes in when things get destroyed and he doesn’t need help in that arena. Steve if it was something fairly straight forward but that needed good press. Bucky if I need help murdering someone. Anything to do with magic I’d bring Strange, not Wanda cause those things end badly since they usually involve Doom or Sinister who always end up fucking with her head which ends in reality warping shenanigans. T’Challa if it was something to do with either Atlantis (cause he’s salty) or Wakanda. Clint if I need a strategist, Thor if it’s cosmicy, Pietro if I absolutely had to but honestly he doesn’t work well with anyone other than his sister. Getting into part-time avengers Logan if it’s a problem I can’t or won’t handle I can just toss him at it and he’ll sort it out. Same with Deadpool tbh. Carol if it had to do with Space politics (Thor’s a terrible politician, ask Loki). Loki if it had to do with big magics (honestly I’d go to him first in the case of magic, he has more free time than Doctor Strange and he’s definitely more powerful good god he’s fucking ancient jesus).

Honestly the most consistently useful one is Spiderman. Peter would be covert, could manage to maneuver political minefields, could get good press (not including the daily bugle fuck those guys), is super OP and would be great company.

I’m not gonna tag anyone else but I had fun with this.

I'm really curious to see what you think of the episode once you watch it because I thought it wasn't that bad tbh

Hey nonnie, so I just finished watching the episode and I’m ... conflicted. I’m conflicted by my reactions towards this show since the Michael’s return SL ended tbh. In the first 7 episodes, I so obviously disliked the storylines and where it was headed but afterwards my reactions were not so resentful. I became a lot more ... conflicted because the writing is not obviously bad or bad bad, it just became confused, unfocused, rushed and somewhat inconsistent. Somewhat, being a generous qualification on my part tbh. So, I’m gonna try to break it down here. Keep in mind, though, that I haven’t given a ton of thought to what the show has had to offer in a while now. It seemed futile to me, primarily, but also, because I’ve been far too busy to actually spare too much energy here. Nonetheless, here it goes:

First and foremost, the romance in this season fell on its face in a lot of way. Starting with the main romances of Petramos and Jafael.

1. Petramos: In a lot of ways, the trouble of Petramos is a lot easier to spot for me, a little more obvious, and a little less complicated than jafael’s, more contained than Jafael’s. Probably due to the shorter history of the relationship. I think the controversial revelation that Petra’s been lying to JR about Anezka this whole time was detrimental to the relationship in a nearly unfixable way. To fix it would need care and finesse and patience and build-up. JtV has always had some trouble with all of that, what’s with it being so dramatic and over-the-top, but I think it’s struggled to achieve nuanced writing especially this season. In that way, Petramos’s writing has been doomed since the very start of the season. Like fine, okay, you went ahead with the Petra lying, something that I won’t even get into how unlikely it seems to me, but the relationship needed a LOT more care than what they gave it. Having JR choose to get back with Petra so prematurely only to have them break-up later on did NOT do the writers any favor. Their reunion was rushed, their build-up was quick and a lot of it off-screen. And then their break-up was a disaster writing-wise. It wasn’t heartbreaking, it was angering and insulting to me as a viewer who has functioning braincells thank you very much. It was done for drama and did not really follow coherently, especially with the add-on of Petra wanting to propose and all that. It just fell on its face. For me, a much better way to deal with the situation would have been to let their season 4 break up land throughout the first half of the season, then come up with a reason for a rekindling, a tentative alliance, a careful build up that leaves me squealing like a schoolgirl when they reunite. Have Petra go through the journey of getting over JR in the first half, have her go through that character growth, and THEN reunite them. And here’s the thing, I’m still about 99% sure that Petramos is endgame, but we’re literally supposed to get the reunion and the endgame in ONE episode, an episode that’ll largely be about Jafael so like... IDEK man. This’ll be really hard to sell beyond the aesthetics of two gorgeous people getting together on your screen.

2. Jafael: I have SO many conflicting emotions about Jafael this season. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, I ship them. I always will. And we did get some really good material over the course of the season, but boy oh boy, do I have problems with how this is all panning out. First and foremost, the treatment of this relationship with Michael’s return has been disastrous, and i think we can all agree on that. Like okay, fine, you want to reach this point of breaking up. Okay fine. You want to reintroduce the love triangle. Okay fine, but pray tell, what the actual fuck was that treatment of the storyline? I was genuinely excited about the potential for angst that this’ll give Jafael. I wanted the pain and the heartbreak, I wanted Rafael to be the one to break up with Jane because he just does not want to do this anymore, but the way they went about it was confusing to me. For example, I loved the idea of “Rafael got his memories back, too”. I thought that was clever, but to me the trigger of it was not as clever. Remember back in season 1 when Raf proposed and then he saw her laughing with Michael and that kind of contributed to sending him spiraling? Yeah, I needed something like that. Something to remind Rafael and the audience of this journey, a physical evidence of that trouble in front of him. We got none of that of course. And then we had to deal with the whole Mateo thing and Mateo’s feelings and involvement and it was so not the right focus. It lacked feeling, it lacked heart, it lacked things that were genuinely a part of the core of Jane as a show. The whole point of Michael returning was supposed to be the emotional baggage of it all, but it turns out JtV was truly not at all equipped to handle something with that complexity. So the break up was a bit of a mess in that regards and I’m just... yeah. Let’s just leave it there for now.

Because what was even more aggravating than the break-up, is their reunion. I’m not gonna get into the whole thing about Raf’s depression here (see below the section about characters), but what I will get into here is, how in fuck’s name did we get a whole reunion SL without even a glimpse of what, exactly, was going through Raf’s mind as he went through therapy? Like just how? How did he come to not trust her? How did he come to realize that he’ll always love her? What the f was going on in his mind this whole time? Was he pining in his own way, too? Okay, fine, you don’t want to give us this storyline about his depression (why thank you, fuck you too), but can you uhhh, IDK give us a SL about them getting through their issues. Remember Jafael in season 1 and 2 going to therapy to hash out their trouble? I miss those days. I’m honestly beyond flabbergasted that they did not immediately march into a therapist’s office and try to fix their trouble. That would’ve made their whole journey come full circle. It would have helped dissect their problems. His and hers. How they’l move on. How they’ve grown together. You know, the kind of stuff you do when you tell a person that you don’t trust them anymore but you also really love them? Remember the proposal episode? Yeah, how the F did we not get a we’re going to therapy SL afterwards? And now, in 5x17, Raf is like I’m not worried about MIchael trying to win you back again, anymore. And I’m like, k, cool, but why? We have seen very little development in that regards, can you please explain it better? Can you please show me more? PLEASE? But I guess not, and it is what it is now.

In a lot of ways, Jafael’s trouble is that the show is trying to cram 2 or more seasons worth of buildup and SL into half a season, half a season whose focus has been disastrous to say the least. So yeah, the reunion has been tainted for me with a lot of trouble. And now, thinking about it, I actually can’t find very clear ways in which Jafael’s journey this season could have been fixed wih easy and simple shuffling of certain events. To truly make it pop, they NEEDED to delve deep into Rafael’s mental health, which is not a simple fix in itself. Otherwise, this only partially satisfactory stuff is all we are left with. In my mind right now, I think I would have gone much farther back, though, and tweaked their story to maintain the Michael returns SL without it making the story so bland and aggravating. I think I wouldn’t have let Jafael get together at all in season 4. Rafael, following that breakdown he had with Jane in 4x05 goes to therapy. Jane has a romance with Adam that runs its course. Jafael rebuild their friendship and start to catch feelings again. They’re really falling in love and about to get back together when BAM Michael returns. I think that would have worked for the purposes of the triangle more. Jane is not really committed to anyone, except now she’s in love with Raf. And it would have made even her choice more powerful. But alas, it is what it is. But even more ideally, IDK, come up with a more creative obstacle than Michael’s return.

3. Villadero: Honestly, I’m only gonna talk about them to vent, cause I’m MAD, you guys, so MAD and I don’t even ship it. But I’m MAAAAAD. Like just... okay, okay, you take all of season 5 and it’s literally just Jennie shitting on M/J and I’m like what the actual fuck? The blows never stopped coming? Michael returning only to have his heart broken all over again not enough for ya? Having to see Mateo say that he hates him not enough? Oh, no, it’s not. We gotta not only make the book about their relationship a flop (which like, fine, as an aspiring writer it’s cool to see this being a more complicated journey for Jane than an immediate hit) but to also have its publication be a literal bribery? Why?? JUST WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? And then to imply that M/J where just a step for Jafael and M/C now?????????????????? WHY WHY WHY???????????????????? Remember the show that had Jane worry that her moving on with Raf would make it seem as if Michael is just a step? I want that show back. I just... UGH.

Characters and characterization is another thing that the show really struggled with this season. Like a LOT.

1. Petra: I’ll start with Petra because I honestly think she got the better deal out of everyone. This season has really managed to highlight and showcase how much she’s grown and how far she’s come. I think aside from the supposed plan to propose to JR, Petra has been the least inconsistent this season. Though she did have lines that showed real amnesia on the writers part, like telling Jane that JR is the reason she doesn’t lie and manipulate anymore. But oh well, she did well.

2. Jane: I feel like Jane has lost a lot of her vibrance this season. I can’t really pin point why, but I think it’s a combination of reducing her to her bouts of guilt, the weird way that they’ve dealt with her career this season, fluctuating between utter disregard and then literal cramming of episodes worth of her writing development into half an episode (I mean Ro has FAAAAAAAR more build up towards This is Mars than Jane has with her book) it’s been really hard to see the life that Jane exuded in the past.

3. Rafael: I’m tired. I don’t wanna talk about it. I’m just tired.

4. Michael: Also tired. I just wanted him to feel like a person with emotions and trauma but like... *rubs forehead*

5. Xiomara: This makes me the MOST tired. She faded into the background so much I want to ram my head through a wall. Like what the fuck man just what the fuck? The build up of her going to nursing school came from no where. Now she’s willing to go to NY so quickly? No struggle? All the struggle is on Ro’s part? Why just why I don’t understand how the writers who gave us Xo from season 1-4 can just suddenly forget. Even the wrap up of her cancer SL was anticlimactic. It’s just.

Also, Luisa deserves better.

Another thing that season severely struggles with is focus. So much screentime for Jorge and Alba and it’s just not that interesting of a SL. So much time for River Fields and literally no one I know gives a flying fuck. So much wasted time, time that should have gone to Raf’s depression, more Luisa, and definitely more Xo. But NOOOO we had to deal with River’s relationship with her daughter and I’m like... who even gives a damn?

One last thing I’ll say cause I’m too tired to say anymore about this, though I could: where are the magical realism elements in the show? Where has that magical feeling about them gone???????????????

Anyways, let’s see how they wrap it up I guess.

I love Sileves, I love her big generous heart and how eagerly she accepts friends of her children and her husband as honorary family members. I wish I could talk more about her job as a healer because she takes such immense pride in it and she is what I would want any nurse or doctor to be; so caring and patient and kind.

2. Methenor

Methenor is a soft boi hidden under layers of icy indifference, sarcasm and dry etiquette and I love it. He cares for his family so much ;-; And like I feel incredibly bad for him because no wonder he’s cold as ice when pretty much his entire family left him in Rivendell; His parents sailed, his older sister is who knows where, his younger brother ran for Lothlorien and now his only son left him too.

3. Malgelir

Chirpy social butterfly with a small bit of a “ME FIRST” complex towards her siblings. Malgelir always wanted to get married and have a child, and the fact that she did so before her siblings does make her prouder than she probably should be. Thankfully this isnt out of pure malicious intent because I don’t think she ever had an evil thought in her life.

Like it’s not that she doesnt want to be married to Lagoron, she loves him very dearly, but there’s certain expectations that comes with having a wedding especially as a highly valued member of the Rivendell guard.

Idk I kinda want to dive more into the complex nature of her always wanting to be on top and number one in her class despite the fact that she has a lot of… performance anxiety, I guess you could call it?

She doesnt like to be put on the spot or even necessarily in the spotlight even though she has an ambitious drive and is always looking to improve as a guard.

6. Innith

With Innith I’m kinda having the opposite problem I do with Rhoscthel. I don’t get to use her much because she’s a shy, introverted scholar who would really only want to interact with coworkers and patrons of the library in Rivendell; and unfortunately there’s not a lot of those muses around.

this is very much me asking you to throw Pan at her sometimes I think they could be fun together plz

I’m also a bit sad the one ship I had for her has long since sailed away. F/F ships are so hard to come by.

7. Nethel

You would think I have a similar problem with Nethel like I do with Innith but since Nethel is such a drastically different character I actually dont find it hard to find interactions for her lol. People seem to be rather drawn to her even though she’s brutally blunt. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Nethel is a lot like Feanor just minus the genius linguistic part.

Plus while Nethel is cooped up in her workshop most of the time she does need to come out and tend to her biological needs like eating, bathing, sleeping, much to her dismay as she has little patience for small talk.

Aside from that I think most of the muns I toss her at are aware that she’s a deeply insecure person under all that brutal facade, and people generally seem to have a little more patience with a character like that? like idk, just something I noticed.

8. Miston

Honestly without Miston this blog wouldnt exist and I wouldn’t be here to gush about all my characters, so needless to say Miston is incredibly important to me. I feel like he has grown as a character a lot since the beginning of this blog but that he has also remained true to the description I give him in his about section. He is still a character who doesn’t like sharing his feelings and rather deflect them, ignore them entirely or distract you with conversations about literally anything else.

Miston is very near and dear to my heart.

9. Eredhon

Baby. Precious soft child. Eredhon is such a sweetheart and it’s truly thanks to a lot of brainstorming with @legolasgoldy that he has been crawling out of his shell because for quite a while I myself didnt even know all that much about Eredhon.

He is a soft, gentle soul with a lot of deep running emotions and his social anxiety can definitely play cruel tricks on him, but with the right support system he blossoms into a very sweet and devoted friend who will always try to help you through any emotional problems. He’s also a lot more emotionally intelligent than I originally gave him credit for. He’s usually paired with social butterflies (see Malgelir) because he does get those type of characters to kind of.. relent the walls they build around themselves and let him see the emotional struggles they tend to ignore

He’ll also never apologises for feeling his emotions. He’ll apologize for snapping, for raising his voice, for letting his anxiety drive him up a wall and for anything that deserves an apology, but he won’t apologize for feeling sad or anxious or happy or in need of comfort.

10. Calithilon

I’ve been thinking about aging canon Cali up to at least a talkative elfling because honestly because he is so young in canon I haven’t really gotten a chance to use him all that effectively in the main storyline.

Most of Cali’s development comes from modern aus with @hclliish where he’s a teen, dating her Sleipnir (another precious child, just not one of mine lol)Cali takes after his mom in looks and unfortunately for him after his dad in personality, making him a rather shy and quiet person with a lot of insecurities. Being born to two singers makes him a natural singer as well, and his voice is higher in tone than that of his father.

Despite being an anxious teen (because when is puberty ever kind) he does find a lot of comfort in his parents unconditional love for him. They’re a very solid parents-child unit tbh.

11. Lagoron

Another character that I don’t get to use all that much, which is unfortunate because I find Lagoron an incredibly funny and interesting character. He’s a very un-elvish elf, in fact he’s more a hobbit in an elven disguise. While also being a guard, he is an entirely different type than Amathel; where Amathel yearns to be the best and the strongest, Lagoron is a team player who believes in the strength of numbers and strong bonds between guards to drag them through the most difficult situations; and that hasn’t exactly made him the top performer of the class.

He is however truly the kind of person you want on your team, and in a fight he’s surprisingly endurant and likely to exhaust his opponent by focusing on dodging their power attacks rather than wasting his energy in fighting back.

Always has food on him and will offer it to anyone he feels like stricking up a friendly conversation with. 10/10 good friend.

12. Hinnoron

Hinnoron is definitely more of the tradtional elf. He’s radiant, and ethereal, and pleasant to be around. He also has a natural calmness about him and a certain kind of wisdom. Y’know, typical Tolkien Elf TM stuff.

Hinnoron gets interesting when you dive into his deeper relationships. His relationship with his eldest sister is on a very low pit, and the one he has with Methenor has definitely taken some blows. When Gelwenil left to follow the stars, Methenor got rather clingy towards Hinnoron, who felt suffocated in return.

Hinnoron left for Lothlorien, and to this day regrets that he abandoned Methenor when Methenor was clearly struggling with the departure of their parents and their sister. While they have mended their bond since, this kind of guilt does seem to creep into his relationships with Haldir ( @thehiddenhero ) and Oropher ( @oropherrrrr ) He often doesn’t tell them when things about the relationship upset him and bottles his emotions up to an unhealthy degree, all because he fears of upsetting their feelings or even damaging the image they have of him if he’s not the perfect, ethereal and unconditionally supportive partner. For someone who gives love so easily and unconditionally, he seems to have a hard time believing that the love he receives doesn’t come with the condition that he has to be a perfect lover or it’ll be revoked.

Someone plz teach him that he’s allowed to have needs and that he’s allowed to have those needs tended to.

13. Gelwenil

Ah yes. The lost one. Well no, not lost, she knows exactly where she’s going but nobody else does. Gelwenil honestly never meant to upset Methenor or Hinnoron when she left to follow the stars. Like Methenor was definitely struggling when his parents left for Valinor, but in retrospect Gelwenil left several years after that. Maybe not enough for him to have healed and moved on, but I don’t blame her for thinking that with his wife, children and their youngest brother Methenor would have enough of a support net to justify her wanting to explore the skies.

Gelwenil is an avid believer in the power of Varda, and also deeply respects Tilion and Arien. Any type of celestial Maia can be expected to be treated with the deepest respect from her.

Out of all my characters Gelwenil deserves the most TLC tbh I feel like she’s underdeveloped compared to everyone else because I dont use her a lot.

14. Faerveren

Uuuugh I miss Faerveren so much. Mistons second cousin twice removed, and probably the only person to ever leave him flabbergasted and when Miston is the voice of reason in a duo, you know somethings up.

Faerveren is also an interesting character because with her I wanted to present the idea of people assuming you’re always emotionally fine as long as you’re physically strong enough to be virtually invincible.

15. Nengelon

Local edition of the “I’m so fucking done with this shit I don’t get paid enough to deal with” club, together with Feren and Lindir. Nengelon tends to fall into an elven variety of Welsh when he runs upset with the leader of the Sabaid elves, and just about no one knows what he’s saying.

There’s also the implication that he basically ran away from the Riunnag (waterelves, maybe related to the Teleri through distant blood but sources (ie me) dont confirm that yet so its just rumors) tribe he belonged to because of his secret romantic ties to said leader, but Nengelon doesn’t speak of his romantic outings to anyone so it’s just a rumor.

16. Braigon

Ah, big, bulky, burly, 7 foot something Sabaid leader Braigon. Rides a grizzly bear as a warmount, wields a gigantic twohanded battle axe, and is an absolute terror on the battlefield… when he bothers to get his tribe of warrior travelers involved. Braigon tends to stroll around like he owns the place, because not many dare to defy this mountain of an elf.

Maybe thats why people are so bewildered when 5′9 sized Nengelon curses him out on his bullshit in some incomprehensible tongue they don’t know.

Braigon is actually a pretty solid leader of a tribe where elves can pretty much do as they please as long as they do their job as either warrior or provider (finding food and other supplies) outstandingly. The Sabaids aren’t a big tribe, there’s only a couple hundred of them, but they make for fantastic allies… but only if you can manage to convince Braigon to risk any of his people in any given war; and he usually isn’t concerned with fighting the battles of others for them without a good reason.

17. Bereneth

Bereneth is an interesting case. An accident between a Sinda lady and a Noldo refugee, at a time when those relationships weren’t exactly accepted after the reign of destruction left by the line of Finwe. (I like to believe thats something that took a generation or two for elves to get over dont @ me.)

Because of this, Bereneth was relentlessly bullied to the point where as soon as the oppertunity rose, her mother left for then newly settled Rivendell. Being under the rule of Elrond, she figured her daughter would be safe there. Bereneth remained there and bore three children to Carandolon and sailed to Valinor when their daughter in law was pregnant with her first child

18. Carandolon

Chieftain of a squadron while Greenwood was under the rule of Oropher, Carandolon was a bright eyed and wanderlust filled soul, born to two fullblooded Silvan elves. When on a mission to Rivendell, where he had to accompany a diplomat, he saw Bereneth and for him it was love at first sight.

When the mission was over and he returned to Greenwood, he immediately requested to be dismissed from his chieftain status and to be allowed to move and live to Rivendell.

A reckless and bold move, and it did take him a while to woo Bereneth, but they ultimately fell in love, got married, and had three children. He sailed with his wife when their daughter in law was pregnant with her first child

19. Nemiron

The missing link that connects Miston to the line of Finwe. Nemiron is the bastard son of Írimë and an unknown father of Vanyarin descent. Nemiron lost complete vision in his right eye when the healer tent he worked at got raided by the enemy in that war; and he threw himself as a shield between the blade and the wounded soldier it was aiming for.

During the war, he was usually found in the company of either Finrod or Edrahil, as he needed help to adjust to his new lack of depth perception. Sometimes during that same war, he left to settle in Lothlorien, where he met the weaver apprentice Dillothés. They married and moved to Rivendell as a position for an experienced healer was open there, and they had their family there.

Nemiron remained in Rivendell, despite yearning to sail, for the sake of his only daughter, and he ultimately sailed for Valinor when she was pregnant with her third child.

I havent decided if the power of Valinor heals Nemiron’s injury, but if it does (and I doubt it), it would do so only partially. His right eye will never be 100% functional.

20. Dillothés

The third and last born daughter of her parents, Dillothés worked as a weaver’s apprentice in Lothlorien before moving up to becoming a weaver of her own, selling her selfmade fabrics to tailors and others interested and making a comfortable living out of it

She became infatuated with Nemiron, who was often found in the library studying Lothlorien native herbs to aid in his small healer practice. After she learned of his injury she never backed away from him once, and helps and supports him to the best of her ability. This remains the case when they went to Valinor and whether or not he partially heals from his injury

Shance-

Pro: tbh I think they would have a supportive relationship, and Shiro has the patience and energy to handle Lance's (Anxiety) problems.

Con: Shiro has some problems I don't think Lance can handle, but they would work through it together.

Shallura-

Pro: Very stable relationship, space mom and space dad. Allura, is very mature despite her age, and is very supportive of other people's problems. Shiro cares for others deeply and attributes these factors amazingly. I think together they could really kick some butt.

Con: Cannon, Allura is heartbroken, it would take some work for her to put her walls down for anyone.

Shatt-

Pro: Both would support each other's problems, since both have been through the same thing. Both would know what it takes to love each other and maintain a relationship.

Con: I think they would fight, idk, it's just me.

Latte

Pro: Best, lit couple ever. They would be so great with kids, and teamwork on this couple is so strong.

Con: Too many past issues, and both hide them the same way.

Klance

Pro: Stablest relationship ever. Opposites in a relationship are great for stable relationships that can last years. Both, never get bored of each other, and a bond between them would be amazing.

Con: Honestly, the only con is that opposites can also get in some of the toughest fights.

Kidge

Pro: Honestly, just watch Toradora! To see why this ship would be great.

Con: Tbh, with their personalities, I just... Don't see that much wrong.

Punk/Hidge

Pro: Biggest nerds ever, and one of the most stable fluffy ships I love. They honestly would have the cutest, awkward love stage ever. Another one of the most understood between couple.

Cons: Honestly, It's one of the most underrated ships that have so much potential, it'll probably not become cannon.

Plance

Pro: Ever watch Ouran High School Host Club? If you did, then you have your answer. Another Opposites attract, dumb ass egotistical teen, with smart humble teen. This ship would have a great stability.

Cons: Again, Opposites can oppose.

Allurance

Pro: Cute guy meets girl feel, hottest girl out of his Legue. One of the most best power couples ever, no one can take them down.

Con: Finding other things better in their lives. Sometimes, you think you want something, and it wasn't the case. This especially happens when you date a girl/boy out of your legue.

Hunnay

Pro: Cinnamon Rolls, both would be the softest parents ever. They would support each other well, and have a stable relationship.

Cons: I think some of y'all forget Shay is literally a living rock.

Sheith

Pro: Would be a loving relationship, both would let their walls down easily due to their personalities.

Con: Y'all signed up for this, canonically I would like to see how Lauren would pass up this brotherzone she put up.

Remember, this is just what I think, no hate towards any of these ships.

i watched h*athers at the other pal*ce last night and i have Thoughts

first off i actually,,,,,,,, don’t remember that much from off-bway 2014 h*athers cause i haven’t watched it in so long lmao but the most noticeable changes were from blue to a song called you’re welcome. mcnamara and duke are not on stage for that one, they get the car keys and leave veronica stranded w/ kurt & ram. the song is not much better off tbh. it’s even more uncomfortable but in a more predatory way i guess so it highlights how she’s....... literally about to be raped but there are still some jokes??? and it’s........ not the time to expect laughter like idk it personally made me very uncomfortable. and yEAH it’s supposed to make u uncomfortable ofc but then they’re throwing in jokes and it’s like friends we had this problem 4 years ago can we. not.

they added a song for he*ther d*ke which i was soooooo excited about!! look. i didn’t love the song. maybe if i listen to it more i’ll get into it but i feel like it was just this huge spectacle and kinda thrown in and also there’s this part where she rips the green costume off and reveals chandler’s red one. despite not loving the song, t’shan KILLED IT and i’m still not over her tbh lmao she was my fave part of the show last night i think. aLsO it added a biiiit more to the character since before she was mostly treated like a villain and now we see a girl who just Really wants to be liked and suffered substantial abuse from her “best friend” and now is just kind of....... free.

they kept d*ad g*y s*n which like. disappointed but not surprised.

the cast

c*rrie h*pe fl*tch*r as veronica - i’d listened to a couple of audios of her before and i wasn’t too happy that they’d removed veronica’s high notes but watching it live, it didn’t seem like a huge problem at all tbh. she was an amazing veronica and definitely has very powerful vocals but in my opinion she wasn’t particularly memorable tbh?? i just don’t feel like she was really able to make the character her own and a lot of it felt very derived from barrett but that’s just me.

j*mie m*sc*to as jd - i actually really liked his jd!! he had the look dOWN. he started out maybe a bit more cute-sy and hesitant (like, almost told veronica she had the wrong cup when she gave chandler the bleach & was almost kinda shocked like ‘oh shit i killed someone’) but grew veeeery dark and manic and manipulative and was revelling in moments like after d*ad g*y s*n and sh*ne a l*ght and was always like ‘ok who we gonna kill next!!!’ and was very creepy in general though the musical did prompt you to feel bad for people like him as well as kurt and ram which. it shouldn’t & i don’t bye!

- like quick lil note i understand veronica is in distress but i hate how she sings that they could’ve turned out good when they aLMOST RAPED HER like they didn’t deserve to die but come on!!

j*die st*ele as he*ther c - mixed feelings for this one tbh. i didn’t love her, i’ll start by saying that. her voice is definitely very powerful and very fit for the character, but i feel like she played everything as more comical than anything else and some of her meaner moments felt a bit forced. but she was absolutely hilarious in the me ins*de of me and all the other moments after she died lol. not my favorite but she wasn’t bad either. did have some more memorable little moments like her dance in me ins*de of me was gOLD.

t’sh*n will*ms as he*ther d - i!!! stan!!! i think she was my fave he*ther d tbh??? she’s a fucking powerhouse and she made the character pretty sympathetic, especially towards the end. looked genuinely concerned when she said v looked like hell. in the finale she just stands there kinda grumpy and doesn’t sing along but then veronica insists for like a solid ten seconds and she joins in, still not sure if she quite belongs, very hesitant, but with the cUTEST small lil smile and she gives martha this little wave i cRIED.

s*phie is*acs as he*ther mc - again, she was very good, but i didn’t find her particularly memorable. like, to me, lifeboat just kind of flew by and her almost suicide scene as well and i didn’t feel too much??? her voice is definitely very pretty and she’s a good actress but i think the performance fell a bit flat for me.

a few more lil notes!!

- costumes were fine but i gotta say i was not a fan of he*ther m’s skirt or jd’s trench coat

- the stage was very small but the set felt so big at the same time?? and the set was very pretty tbh i really liked it!!

- sh*ne a l*ght was hILARIOUS and r*becca l*ck was great and being vv interactive and pointing to the guy at the audience and being like ‘you brought your wife aND A KID????’ and the wife was living and the guy was dying

- i feel like some jokes didn’t work w/ the british audience as it happens lmao like when ms fl*ming was like ‘as my thesis from berkley says’ and there were like, two laughs, one from me. in brazil we usually translate these kinds of things but i get why they didn’t. makes me wonder how h*milton is working out here tbh lol.

- dominic & chris were on point as kurt & ram (def reminded me of all the dudebros i know) but i just feel a bit iffy about the whole kram thing and everyone...... you know........ forgetting they almost raped veronica.

- huuuuuuge props to the ensemble. it was very small but they nailed it and the ensemble numbers were just always filled with energy and a lot of fun!!

- also props to the cast’s american accents!! they did slip at times but they fooled the friends i’d taken with me who were all surprised to find out the cast was actually british.

- i hate paying for programmes. not a note for the show but one from me to this country. i know they fancier than playbills but we have similar ones in brazil and they’re free!! 4 pounds doesn’t seem like much. until you remember that’s twenty reais. TWENTY!!

- there wasn’t really a stage door, the actors showed up at the lobby, but there was a line that went all the way outside the theatre and i am now Old and no longer have the patience for these types of things so i just left.

- sooooooo many people went dressed up though so if you’re in doubt about whether or not you should i’d say go for it.

- overall it was a good show, definitely fun, didn’t really leave me in emotional shambles but maybe i’m just older & boring now. i’m glad they’re still trying things out and making changes because lemme tell you it needs some of those. but if you’re in london, i def recommend watching it if it’s your type of show (though i know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea), it was a fun experience (love me some h*athers themed drinks) and i don’t think you’ll regret it!
