I haven't finished it yet, but I watched some of it, and skimmed through the rest (I will finish though at some point; when/if I have the time), and what I did see of it the "Undertale Insomnia: Something Isn't Right" Trailer looks amazing! Ur art and the looks of the characters and the Blasters is on point and great as always! And ur animation is looking awesome too! I think ur comic already had some cool gifs/small animations, but if not; it is cool to see animations from u now too!

The Paps's (both older and younger) and his Casters and/or the Blasters are looking great in the trailer u released!

And Asgore (I think) and the fallen human kid(s) look great in some of the animation WIPs and/or whatever too!

I hope someday to see some of the other Undertale cast in animation form, or at least some of the other Insomnia important and/or etc. cast members like Sans (could be both older or younger), Gaster - before or after getting goopifed, lol (though, I think he might be in this animation and/or at least the full? one), Frisk, Chara, more of Blasters and/or Casters, and/or Alphys (I have gained a soft spot for ur Alphys). Maybe Asriel and/or Flowey too?

Not mentioning Asgore or the kids here, because I think u might have some stuff/ideas/etc. with them already. And not mentioning Undyne either, even though it would be awesome to see her too, bc I don't think she has been in the comic too much yet?

Ofc, u don't have to do any of this. I know animations, and animatics even, can take a long time! Just seeing the Undertale Insomnia (one of my favorite UT, and maybe just in general, comics/series's!) cast brought to life even more through animation like this, has got me excited! ^^

Last of all; I just wanted to clarify, the animation release is just the trailer, and not full thing, or...?? I just wanted to confirm.

Heya! First off thanks! That little tidbit is just a teaser more than a full trailer. IT's definitely not the completed thing. I didn't want to give a solid release time due to genuinely not knowing how long this all would take (at this point a little over a year- Good god). But I wanted to share at least a little something since this whole project has been so all consuming- that from the outside world's perspective I've been more or less absent. It's kind of hard to be active with other things when a singular thing both eats a bunch of time but can't be shared since it's not done X'D. It's a lot of behind the scenes work and not much to show for it yet.

Other characters will definitely be getting way more time to shine in the comic moving forward since I finally hit a particular turning point. Also regarding animations I have a lot of ideas for the other characters and the fallen kids that all more or less tie into the same world in a "how did we arrive to this point" kind of scenario. But due to how long all of this takes and I can't promise how many of them I will get to. Or at least how quickly because right now I'm moving at a blistering speed of _not very fast_ ✨ That said this one with Papyrus is absolutely being released (hopefully later this year) because if I have only one of these in the system it's gonna be for this guy XD The other one that I absolutely want to do as another animated update for Insomnia involves Chara and Frisk to answer what exactly happened at the end of the last run before this one. I'm hoping that since I've learned a lot (this is my first animated project) that that one will go a lot smoother. An account of figuring out a lot of things I Was doing that made my life INFINITELY HARDER. Hope that answers things.

big post of all my random rvb au ideas and some hcs, decided this was more reasonable than making like 20 different posts.

Hc the freelancers who die are like submarines that go missing, officially still out on patrol. Florida is the only freelancer that is officially gone from the program. A rumor starts that the freelancers suits are in some way connected to the us states so people think that when florida (state) blew up, so did Agent Florida's armour killing him in the process

(I'm an ace Tucker believer) Y'know how Tucker gets charged child support for a bunch of kids post chorus? I don't think he has any kids outside of Junior. I think a bunch of people who got pregnant post temple of procreation were like shit idk the kids other parent. Uhhhh. Let's just say it was the rich famous planetary hero guy who claims to have slept with everyone. He probably doesn't even remember the people he's slept with. And then Tucker, asexual who has had sex one (1) time and realised he didnt like it very much, is stuck between revealing to the whole goddamn planet that he doesnt actually fuck, and paying a billion dollars of child support.

In an everyone lives no one dies type au I think Donut gets Maine, Locus, South, and Wash to come to his wine and cheese hour and he does their makeup and their nails.

Au where Sigma is just so fucking invested in getting Maine and Wash to date that he doesnt do anything evil. "Agent Maine, I think you will find this course I have signed you up for quite informative" Sigma this is a couples wine and pottery class "Oh look, is that Agent Washington over there? you should go say hi."

Au where Wash and Epsilon bond. It still fucks Wash up and shit, cause yknow. Epsilon issues. But Wash goes like "I am going to fucking kill the director he fucked you ai over so much" And Epsilon is so taken aback bc of Alphas view of Wash from an outside, heavily filtered perspective made him seem happy go lucky, innocent, and a bit naive.

Au where the freelancers find out that the director is Linas dad and behind her back they're all like "hey is she okay? why does he talk to her like that?" but then whenever she's around they just accuse her of nepotism. Gamma and Sigma team up to hack the leaderboard and change her name to nepotism baby.

I love South. I wish she existed more. I wish her and North and Theta could have gotten along. I wish Theta could suit jump like Omega and Alpha. I wish Theta could spend time with South. Like yeah South wouldn't like having to share an ai with her brother but like. He's their littlest brother.

Junior and Theta could autism bond. I think they'd both like comics. Also Junior teaches Theta basketball and Theta teaches Junior to skate. Skateboard kid plus scooter kid. I think Palomo would like to skateboard too. Wash and Palomo both helped teach Theta to skateboard. Wash bc he's friends w North, Palomo bc he's at the skatepark frequently. Jensen roller skates, she's... okay at it. not good. but okay. She broke her tailbone trying to impress Palomo. Andersmith would work at a youth center that the teens hang out at. Matthews works at a movie theatre, Bitters watches a movie there every week, maybe just to see Matthews.

Sarge werebear. Simmons vampire. Grif faun. Donut Light Elemental. Lopez is a ghost that got stuck in a shitty robot Sarge built. Church and the ai are ghosts, Tex is a vampire, Caboose is a werewolf (big doggy :3). Siren Tucker. Deep sea mermaid Junior (glowing octopus type stuff). Faun Kai (same as Grif). Carolina’s a Phoenix. Wash some kind of big cat thing. Florida Shapeshifter (he prefers being reptiles). The twins are demons. 479er is a harpy. York poltergeist (throws stuff at people). Wyoming's some kind of “answer my riddles three” type of imp. Ct is also a shapeshifter. Maine’s just a regular guy with a lot of weird friends. Felix and Locus are a fire elemental and a dryad respectively. Siris is a water elemental. In my au Donut’s a light elemental which makes it so fucking funny if Church pops up and says "boo" Donut just fucking decks him. and through Church being a ghost (a form of light) and Donut being a light elemental, Donut’s fist connects. South is the demon people are more likely to fear, but North is the one you really need to look out for. When South loses her temper people get frightened, when North loses his temper people die. If there's like. a group of kids exploring or something North’ll hold South back from doing anything more than scaring them. If there's a priest attempting an exorcism or someone with a cross threatening South, their organs will be found separately from their bodies.

It's kinda funny when people make Church and Lina siblings and then Tex is just some random girl that Church likes. Like I fully understand why and the only other alternative i can think of is like. Church is the director's younger brother who was raised alongside his daughter after their parents died. and Tex is Allison's younger sister. Only way I could put together Church kinda being the director and Tex kinda being Allison but also Church and Lina being siblings without there being any relation between Tex and Church.

Florida and Ct have a coworker friends relationship i think. When they first met I think Florida said something vague and threatening to her so she pulled a knife on him. They've been sort of friends ever since.

Hello Beautiful! Before I begin, I have to say I love you so much T-T I’ve been lurking in your shadows since the first chapter of A Crush To Much. I thought it was a one shot at first but was giddy when I saw a part 2, then part 3, then I went fucking nuts when I realized it was instead a multi chapter story! I’ve been stuck on you like a remora ever since.

Ok now my questions, please bear with me for we’re going waaay back here to the beginning of WS.

Even though it’s not from his perspective, we can see when Donnie interest begins to change with us the reader. But when does he transition from this person is intriguing to they are attractive (mentally, physically or both) and I want to fuck their brains out?

(Also, low key like to know if the other ((NOT)) brothers have so’s?)

… I had another ask but I can’t remember atm… OH I REMEMBER! We see Donnie finding his inner BootyShaker9000 (tears of pride and happiness) but will he ever discover his (canon) love Jupiter Jim?

Alright, let's see what I got for you!

So I have written what I like to call my Midnight Sun, which is a summary of the beginning of Weak Spot from Donnie's perspective (the name comes from Midnight Sun aka the Twilight book that does the same from Edward's perspective, so I gift you this:

So like the companion comic, Donnie doesn't 'see' other people anymore; they're just blobs. When reader sasses him about the sandwich it's the first time he 'glimpses' someone in years and that makes him curious. From there, the first meeting is him basically watching a hyperactive puppy vie for his attention the whole time which he pities. The thing is, reader isn't just that though. They're intuitive and, several times, he finds them reading his cues which he didn't think should have been obvious. It leaves him impressed and curious enough to test this anomaly again. Chapter 2 was a test in that he upped the stakes to see how reader would act outside their element (aka shop they're familiar with). The chip thing was not apart of the equation though. He only quizzes them over it because he saw them freaking out. Again, the conversation doesn't go as planned. This hasn't happened in years. Everyone has been so terribly predictable up until this point. When reader asks him if he likes eggs, that was the deciding moment for him. It was completely out of left field, but most of all, it was fucking earnest. Reader didn't want the conversation to end so they asked something wild, but, at the same time, it happened to be something they genuinely wanted to know. How could anyone want to know anything so banal and asinine about him? It was then he realized he was interested in more them as an more than anomaly. From there everything is an upward trend from that revelation~

This has been added to since; we know from chapter 49 that Donnie revealed he first realized he was down bad and had recorded a record of his feelings for reader back in chapter 8. I think that taking all that into account and the fact that Donnie was fighting for his life to finish the dinner in chapter 9 that it was safe to say he was just as attracted to reader as reader was to him by their first real date.

The other bros do not currently have SO's! Leo I'm saving for something special, Raph I just never came up with anything, and Mikey is aroace and too busy for a relationship.

So Jupiter Jim is something he was raised on and that sort of low budget scifi isn't something I think he can come to anymore. You get a special kind of nostalgia for things like that and our Donnie here never had a chance to be fun and silly. Weak Spot Donnie was unfortunately 'raised' with an impressed view on how terrible fake people are. He despises them and fake worlds by extension. He'd watch Jupiter Jim now and be appalled by how hokey it was. (sorry if this is something you've already said. I only started following you during your teen titans 03 retrospective)

First of all, the idea that people could have come in here in different "eras" is fucking...sending me...hold on I...I need to sit down. There are 400 people who give a shit about what I have to say...oh dear god... *Existential Crisis* ANYWAY (See Rant Below)

For those of you who don't know, the Global Guardians are a DC comics superhero team whose gimmick is implied in the name. One member from each country in a grab bag of national symbols and stereotypes from around the world. (The fact that their only American representative is native is so fucking good it makes me wish they were more popular JUST to watch Twitter fucking blow up) I think they're awesome! There's so much room for pathos and drama here, so many things that could be looked at from global perspectives, letting us see outside of what happens in the 10-ish cities that DC wants us to give a shit about at any one time. Just having them get tie ins during events would be giving writers some of the most free and fascinating content they've had in years. ...unfortunately DC fucking HATES them. When their first attempt of getting rid of them by basically replacing them with the JLI didn't work (Not saying I don't love the JLI but looking at the roster it is 99% either Americans or aliens which just kicks the feet out from anything interesting about the premise). They did what DC always does when they have rosters full of beloved and underutilized D-Listers who are just yearning for a writer to give them one good story to show what they can do... ...they started killing them off. En masse. Repeatedly. Not only making the team look like a bunch of chumps every time they want a new villain to look tough but also jumbling the team's status quo to the point where trying to figure them out or use them is an exercise in frustration. At any one time 90% of their membership is either dead, replaced with a totally new person or evil for some reason. Honestly the only good stories that give the Guardians the due their premise is owed are the Super-Friends tie in issues introducing the team (The Super-Friends tie in comic is actually just really good in general and you should read it). And the team up issues the had with Superman in DC Comics Presents where I first met and fell in love with their Danish member Little Mermaid. The mentioned issues, listed below are:

Super Friends Vol 1. 7-9, 45-46 DC Comics Presents Vol 1. 46 That's all I've got. At this point I'm basically resigned to having to make good content for them by doing it myself.

23. Have you ever met any celebrities?

Hmm. It's hard to say where the line for a celebrity goes. I'm an author so I've met other authors and since my country is small, the big names and the small ones mingle in a lot of places, so I have met some big names.

Other than that, I am comically unaware of celebrities. The chances that I wouldn't realise I was talking to one, are pretty good, because I don't watch much TV or follow popular culture outside of my quite niche interests. It's even funnier because my mom is a real celebrity magnet, and especially my grandmother. She was close friends and neighbours with arguably the most famous pop/rock star in Finland, but I never met the guy.

38. What's the longest you've ever gone without sleep?

Two days and two nights, I think? I'm a night owl but also my body pretty much just shuts down by itself after I've stayed up too long, and needs a lot of sleep, so I won't be breaking any magnificent staying up records.

73. Do you correct people when they make mistakes?

Depends entirely whether the consequences of correcting them or not correcting them are the more favourable ones. If I see someone being an asshole, I will pretty much always interfere. As well as if I see people miscommunicating, I will step in to rephrase what they're saying to help them understand each other. But other than that, things are more complicated.

For example, if someone uses a word, out of ignorance, that is offensive to a group of people, I will explain to them why it's offensive, and why it shouldn't be used, because I can see them using it again in the future. If someone I'm having an argument with makes a factual mistake that doesn't directly relate to the outcome of the argument, I won't correct them, because it would distract them from the point of the conversation, and possibly make them more defensive. If I scroll by a post on Tumblr that is spreading misinformation about a topic I'm informed in, I will comment about it unless it's inconsequential as far as my imagination reaches. If it's more of an impression thing, grey-area or a matter of perspective, even though it seems wrong from my perspective, I will generally not comment on it, unless the post is directed at me somehow, in which case I will offer my perspective as contrast.

I have taught ballet, which is highly technical and has an exact right way of doing things a lot of the time, so I have spent a lot of time thinking about which mistakes make sense to correct at any given time, and which ones can wait, when considering the entire package of a person, their goals and well-being, and their impact on a group. From that I can pretty much draw to any situation that involves correcting others. I generally try to be as holistic in my interactions with people as possible, so I think about correcting mistakes the same way, it's not about what I get out of it, it's about what they, and people as a whole could get out of it. If the only beneficiary from correcting a mistake would be my ego, then I don't correct it. I try to consider one interaction's impact on a bigger scale. Not that I'm always able to, or wise about it, or judge the consequences correctly, but I try.

That being said, if you're one of my very closest friends and I have known you for a long time, I will freely correct any of your technical and factual mistakes, down to your spelling mistakes, depending on my mood, if I know you can take it. But that's reserved for my innermost circle.

Okay, this is clearly something I think about a lot...

90. What makes you angry?

Eh. I don't want to overwhelm you with detail, because I'm sure I could go on longer than the previous question. so I'm just going to say cruelty, unfairness, and generally anything that comes from malice, or lack of respect or regard for other people's well-being. I have a pretty low tolerance for people being mean and putting each other down. Unwillingness to consider other people's perspectives and acting like your opinions are objective facts is a pretty sure way to get me angry, too. The bigger someone's ego is, the sooner I will probably clash with them. On the pettier side, I get easily irritated if someone assumes I don't know something that is pretty basic knowledge, or I otherwise perceive them to imply I'm dumb/not knowledge or I get the feeling that they think they are smarter than me without actually knowing anything about me.

okay i guess i should do a thoughts dump post cause otherwise im gonna be spamming the tag with like a hundred posts lol:

warning, this is basically word vomit lol

first let’s get the non bart stuff out of the way:

- as much of an ass lor is he’s most probably the most insanely talented villain out there, his dad is a fool for not listening to him it’s gonna bite him in the ass !

- the zods tho r such a great couple LOL like they’re all so entertaining to watch, Ursa is unhinged we love to see it !! when they were in the solar pods i found it so funny they were like those cheesy couples that enjoy sunbathing together i’m sorry

- Kaldur showing sympathy to the kryptonians was needed tbh

- Dicks heartbeat thing? total throwback to Artemis faking her own death

- Rocket being caved in by the boom tube? messed up

- Also idk why everyone’s assuming team bioship kicked the bucket none of them were bleeding and this season has been very clear with having no problem showing gore and ur telling me Darkseids son, Martians and a Speedster were done by some blast? nah i don’t buy it

okay so moving on to our fave Kid Flash content 😁

- im sorry but bart calling supes big guy 😭 that’s so precious i love it

-in fact i really appreciate Clark looking out for Bart, tbh he must’ve been paranoid that his keeping secrets from the League could’ve (well, they have lol) endangered Dick, Zee and Bart. Like imagine if he was indirectly responsible for something happening to the Flash’s grandson, who is Kid Flash, who took up the mantle from the Flash’s nephew who famously died on a mission, like that is something that would weigh him down terribly for the rest of his life and i really got that impression since last episode and especially in todays. ALSO i love seeing bart as KF essentially working along side Supes on this high-stakes mission, like if we put it into perspective everything going on is really crazy it’s just that we’ve been kinda desensitised to it cause of the weekly release pace lol anyway now Clark is just left to worry about Dick and Zee (conner and earth and the galaxy being the obvious worry aside)

- the funniest thing was how all this was going down and Dick and Bart are just so unserious LOL we have Nightwing on one end quoting gandalf whilst Bart is literally a ball of excitement about LITERALLY everything and anything, they’re such dorks lol

- in fact, whilst ideally i would’ve preferred a bunch of other dynamics between bart and other characters to be explored this season, it’s interesting to see how he fits in within the older generation heroes and how they work together

- in fact x2 (lol), this whole arc is pleasing my lizard brain that finds both Conners and Barts classic comic involvement with both Legion and Superboy turned evil plots as so essential and how they actually are still connected in Earth-16 despite them being from different “hero generations” (both being part of outsiders aside, there wasn’t much of a connection between them prior to this plot). When I saw that detective board where they were both being investigated by Dick well let’s just say I literally screamed out loud LOL

- moving on, like i said in another post, i can’t believe this guy. He’s basically running (heh) on fumes but acts like nothing happened and just continues with the job literally immediately, someone get him to bed to catch some sleep (no bart laying unconscious doesn’t count as rest)

okay now on to some things that i’m annoyed by:

- i feel like the legion characters have been done kinda dirty this season, it was great until pretty much last episode but the thing is what we have had of them so far which i really enjoyed isn’t that much and has been so spread out thinly through out the season that i feel like their plot opportunity wasn’t fully taken advantage of

-whilst this main plot is objectively attention grabbing, i do think the pace throughout the season was a bit off and there really is a bit too much of telling instead of showing in terms of story telling technique, which is a bit meh. I think way too much time was invested in stories that really could’ve been tied up in significantly less time and could’ve been invested in more relevant stories

all in all, enjoyed it but i am annoyed with some stuff but oh well it’s okay, at the end of the day it gives birth to loads of head canons that i wanna write fics about

Just watched Joey's latest Empires and it's hilarious that the map Lizzie canonically made as a fake just happened to lead to his actual crewmate, she made it point to the Evermoor just because it made sense for someone to get lost there but it turns out she guessed correctly!

But what if it's more than that.

I can't stop thinking about how, several times, they've shown just a bit of behind the scenes and blurred the line on what might be canon. Some people have a scene in as a joke and others in that scene edit it to be serious in their perspectives. fWhip canonically turns villagers into goblins to make more goblins and given that his skin was human at the start of the series that probably also canonically happened to him.

The most obvious example that should definitely be an understandable exception is Pixlriffs' videos, as he's the DM he's showing a lot of the behind the scenes, he'll have moments where he's acting in-character for the sake of others but when he's alone it's clear that none of the story is real to him. And that would make sense, except that sometimes he does act out his character a bit while he's alone. He doesn't have the depth of backstory the others do, but he narrates stories, is motivated by preserving the past like an archaeologist, and while of course this is still all in service to making a coherent story alongside everyone else, the thing is that I'd expect him to be the only one to really go meta with stuff.

But then there's Joel. His whole running gag this season is that everything is "LORE" that he's making up as he goes along but that was true all along in the history of the world he's making up. He started out as a human jumping into a wishing well, and ended up "remembering" things about his "true past"... Is he playing a character who's totally deluded? Or is he playing a character who is, knowingly or not, altering reality?

Is Jimmy a toy, or is it a joke, or is the joke changing the story in a way that is perfectly balanced in the paradox between "real/canon" and "comic relief"?

Gem is canonically a world-hopper roleplaying. Jimmy might just be roleplaying too, with that time he admitted he just decided to be the Sheriff, when Gem told him she just decided to be a princess... Does his hat make its wearer start to go power-mad, or is that just a joke?

Oli came as an outsider to the narrative, but quickly slipped into his role as the bard. He makes meta jokes, he knows he's in a story. From his POV, at least, it is a canonically fictional world, right? Maybe?

fWhip's not the only one to customise villagers on-camera, in-character. And now, Pixlriffs isn't the only one to create a map out of nothing that leads to one of Joey's pirate crew.

What if it's not just the DM and the "god" of Lore? What if everyone on Empires has the power to change the world through stories?

It's literally what's happening, of course. Playing in a Minecraft world, making up the story and backstory as you go along, that's what it's all about! But what if this story is one of those fun meta ones that actually makes that aspect of its own existence canon? What if, between the jokes and the not taking lore too seriously, they end up telling that sort of story?

I know it's not super likely, and I'm excited to see what stories they have planned, with the sculk corruption remaining and whatever else they have in store! But I love stories that get a bit meta/weird, and if Empires S2 leans in that direction, it would be so cool!

Dr. Strange MOM SPOILERS

I’ll start off by saying I didn’t really like this movie, some of the stuff they did looked cool, but storytelling wise and plot/universe advancement wise, sucked.

For starters I think the Dr.strange the mcu has made is kind of boring, and instead of adding to his character by having him bond (not counting the child America) with other heroes, or elaborating on his grey morality at times, they just put concrete evil things infront of him so like, you don’t have to wonder about the morality of his decision. Like in the beginning of the movie they re-emphasis that “he made the only call” with thanos. But from an outsiders perspective people would have no idea how he came to that conclusion. Dr.strange isn’t a bad character in the mcu by any means, it just seems things happen around him instead of him taking an active roll.

And then there’s Wanda…I thought the plot twist at the start of the movie that she’s gonna be the villain, awful. This movie made it seem like the 2 most powerful magic users were gonna team up and (i thought go through the hell dimension or something) to fight an outside threat and expand on the mcu lore. Instead we got generic “Wanda bad and crazy” and they didn’t even show that decent, weather it be from the dark hold or her consuming grief. At the end of wandavision she went off with the dark hold to look for her boys, at the very least they could have shown her being corrupted by that in some way.

In comics her kids are taken by Mefisto and she goes to rescue them, making some morally dubious decisions along the way. I’ll admit it is in character both comics and movies for Wanda to be alittle off her rocker, and there should be consequences for west view. I thought a self imposed isolation on her part was good enough, especially since no other hero went and checked up on her after all the traumatic shit that happened. But I think this movie faults it’s self in a corporate way of maybe having to assume the viewer might not have watched wandavision, so instead of giving her the growth she experienced in the show, we see her go through the same out of control grief in the movie, but worse, and for not a very good reason. Cuz without acknowledging the unconventional origins of speed and wicken, they lessen Wanda’s character motivations in a significantly negative way. I don’t think Wanda failed to over come her grief and became evil by the dark hold, I think the writers failed her character and took and easy cop out instead of writing an emotionally in-depth self actualizing arc for her. Also like, why the hell wouldn’t this movie want to being speed and wicken into our universe, I wanna see them in the young avengers in the future, but that can’t happen if they don’t exist.

I digress. The Xavier cameo and Wong were my favorite parts of the movie. Wong deserves his own movie tbh. But like all those other ppl in the illuminati didn’t make alot of sense in the fight scene. Black blot was just super ick, way to downgrade the most powerful inhuman. Also if Wanda can take was is mouth by thinking, and know enough about Read Richards to pull him apart like taffy at a glance, then the other 2 Illuminati wouldn’t last 5 seconds, and the excessive gore was cool but was only made possible by the total mental deterioration on Wanda’s character. That whole scene was straight from a horror movie and they made Wanda the monster, which to me is a crutch and also doesn’t make sense why she’d be running after ppl when she can like, fly???

Also they introduced Xavier and Black Bolt but didn’t mention the X men or Inhumans. So this movie failed as a set to introduce those possible future charters, which is what I really wanted from the movie. Some hint or sign somewhere on how they’re going to fill the spots of all the now dead heros. Instead the only progression we got was the end credit scene, and I don’t think they deserve to do that. This whole movie should’ve been a set up for the hell/dark dimension if that’s where they were going next.

If they had advertised this solely as a Dr.strange movie I wouldn’t have a problem with it. Keep Wanda and the multiverse out of it. Let the dimension hopping be the surprise of the movie, spend more time exploring that. And because they made such a big deal out of the multiverse, I thought something big and world changing was gonna happen that would pay off and effect the universe later on. I thought when Wanda and Strange first squared off at the temple, something like the unstable spell in spider-man:no way home was gonna happen. Instead the movie was campy and relied on dimension hopping as a crutch of a plot devise. And they didn’t even expand on America that much since the dimension hoping just kinda made her a tag along, and there’s no current super hero group for her to be sent off to and become apart of.

This is all obviously just my opinion, but this movie left a disappointing impression on me.

my fave character to write for changes all the time i used to do a TON of swerve and have a lot of swerve ideas and im not really 'burnt out' on him per se but ive explored his character so much in terms of romance/smut that i feel im rehashing the same ideas and i think a fresh perspective would help

im a sucker for rodimus i have a soft side for arrogant people irl and crush hard on anyone who is just way too confident but i love how he is soft and really cares about people too bc i can relate to that i have so much love for rodimus even if he is a shallow bastard and makes poor decisions for his own ego, i feel like theres a lot of room for improvement there esp if he had someone as his opposite (cough rival cough) to push on him and force him to think outside his own worldview im a big dork for rivals to lovers tho its like enemies to lovers but enemies generally start off VERY antagonistic and rivals are generally antagonistic yes but have room for an underlying respect and admiration and wiggle room to how they could interact as friends

someone i never get requests for but love immensely with my whole heart is bumblebee all bumblebees (i even have a soft spot for bayverse but i will NEVER touch those movies i dont want them within the bi county area stay away from me) i have loved bee since i was a kid bc the first transformers i watched was tfa and i loved characters like jack spicer and bee and other such overconfident jerks with a soft side as ive explored other series that love for bee has only grown i love him when hes a bold leader who wants to earn respect but treats even his enemies with kindness and i love him when he's a scout who gets into trouble bc hes just too gentle and weak i have so many thoughts about bumblebee i love him lots i could go on and on about the different bees (and their relationships with starscream ill die on this hill) hes always such a gentle good guy and deserves the whole world i dont care if transformers is overrun with bumblebee content i want MORE

i also love to write cheetor but strictly beast wars and cyberverse cheetor i feel only terror with beast machines cheetor im a big sucker for anything that has a likeness to cats and the fact that his alt mode is a cheetah i think is so cool im a cat lady through and through i love cat mugs and posters and slippers so ofc one of my fave robots has to be the cat one which also brings up ravage whom i adore in a different way than cheetor they are complete opposites in many regards but they are both loyal which is a quality i treasure in any character or person i think the most interesting thing about ravages story (particularly idw here) is that he is essentially a man with a body that makes others see him as a creature rather than a person i like that the writers took the time to think about all the altmodes the decepticons have and how their original functions made them sympathetic to megatrons cause

i also like writing for rumble and frenzy (all the cassetticons really) although i have a hard time bc two of my friends are big cassette fans and i want to portray them in a way that they would when it comes to transformers or any fandom imma be honest and say,,,,,,,,, ive hardly looked at the source material i havent read much and i havent watched much i saw big sexy robots and i was hooked and i love the story but,,,,,,,,,,, theres no way my attention span would allow me to read a full range of comics man i dont have that in me

other than that i dont want to say that im clinical in how i approach characters but im technical and i know them in a general sense and expand upon them in a way i feel a real person with specific personality traits would act i want them to feel more in depth than just a one or two dimensional character i want to write them in various situations bc deep down we all are just,,,,,, love creatures we all love and we all love to be loved

How smart is Bruce Wayne?

I was re-watching The Batman (2022) on HBO and thinking about the ways that Battinson compares and contrasts from Bruce-the-comic-character, and one of the things that jumped out to me was that Bruce seems to be less... observant? Like, for one thing, I can’t imagine comics Bruce seeing Riddler’s pictures of Mayor Hill and not think to check the angle of the photos to see if the photographer left any evidence behind in their roost.

And this is absolutely NOT a criticism of the movie, by the way-- I think Edward might have actually expected Batman to think about the photo angles, given that he thought his plan would end with Batman dragging Falcone into position for Edward to shoot from his window. Bruce not thinking about the photographer’s POV is emblematic of his larger flaw of being unable to see the world through anything but his own perspective, something that the movie addresses through his eventual character development when he realizes how blind he’s been to Gotham’s corruption and the effect of his obsession with vengeance. The fact that no one else thinks about the photographer’s POV just reinforces Edward’s point that he and his followers are “nobodies” who the city has ignored and forgotten. Fun thematic writing, 10/10, etc.

...But this whole thought process DID remind me of a really annoying poll DC put out in 2021.

So there is a VERY POPULAR idea in the “mainstream” DC fandom that Bruce is the smartest character in DC comics, period. The comment section of this poll was pretty much the same “Batman could plan for them ahead of time and beat them, thus he’s objectively smarter” repeated ad nauseam. Bruce being the “perfect” strategist obviously has a long legacy in his comic portrayals, but probably only reached its current memetic status as a result of Mark Waid’s JLA: Tower of Babel storyline back in 2000, where it was revealed that Bruce had created contingency plans to take down every member of the Justice League.

But notably, even in this storyline, Bruce isn’t an unbeatable genius-- the only reason it even comes up that he has contingency plans is because Talia al Ghul figured out how to steal them from him. And I think it’s relevant that unlike characters that are considered in-canon to be The Smartest, like Lex and Mr. Terrific, Bruce is not inventing the weapons he plans to use on his teammates. He’s stealing them from other characters, like how his plan for Aquaman is to utilize Scarecrow’s fear toxin.

[”The Scarecrow has already done a substantial amount of work on customized fear responses” is a good quote here: Bruce’s methodology in general tends to be finding the path of least resistance, something that Riddler complains about constantly in comics because of how often Batman “cheats” rather than properly solve his puzzles.]

Bruce is canonically a very good detective and skilled at reverse engineering other people’s inventions, but I would argue that he’s not... “creatively” intelligent, the way that actual genius characters are in DC. He can competently analyze Poison Ivy’s newest pheromone cocktail, and may even have the chemistry knowledge to adapt it for his own purposes, but he’s never going to be able to MAKE anything like that independently. It’s a lot easier to break down and reuse other people’s ideas than it is to come up with your own. Not to AGREE with the Riddler of all people, but he summarizes it pretty well in his issue of Year of the Villain:

Bruce’s real claim to fame (outside of his more obvious wealth) is probably his impressive memory, and his ability to predict people’s future actions based on close (read: stalkerish) observation of their behavior. But even this isn’t something he’s perfect at, and makes him exceptionally vulnerable to being taken by surprise: whether from large scale events like the Crime Syndicate coming out of nowhere in Forever Evil, or even something as small as one of his rogues gallery randomly changing their modus operandi.

[Panels from Detective Comics #835, during a plot where Scarecrow eschewed using fear toxin (meaning Bruce couldn’t track him down through his chemical suppliers) and started attacking during the day (when Bruce let his guard down because he wasn’t expecting it). “All of Batman’s carefully constructed files about Jonathan Crane and his alter ego are useless.... Batman’s lashing out because he feels helpless.”]

To bring this back to where I started: Bruce in The Batman (2022) definitely doesn’t seem to have had the same extensive and obsessively variegated training that Bruce has had in the comics. Apparently in the somewhat-canon tie-in novelization it’s established that he studied with a few martial artists, but that’s a lot less than he’s done in other continuities, and the movie itself seems to imply that his primary teacher was Alfred. His established rogues gallery seems to be limited to just Joker, and if he has any peers in vigilantism he’s clearly not in contact with them. So, if Bruce’s intelligence is primarily rooted in observing or borrowing from other people with more traditional genius... doesn’t it kind of make sense that he’d be less “smart” in the 2022 movie where he doesn’t have anyone else to borrow from?

Obviously there are other skills comics!Bruce has that Battison does not-- social manipulation being prime among them, since Battinson has an ABYSMAL socialite mask and probably couldn’t talk his way out of a paper bag. But comics often go out of their way to characterize child Bruce as being taciturn and socially awkward (and generally lacking an interpersonal emotional intelligence that he really still doesn’t have as an adult), traits that stay with him until he comes back from his world travels and establishes his “playboy” personality. Maybe 2022!Bruce just... never met the teacher who taught comics!Bruce social skills. And now he doesn’t know how to look up at windows OR how to make eye contact.

➣ You are over at his house, the two of you idly watching a sitcom while browsing your phones and chatting in between; it’s comfortable, as times with Sugawara usually are.

➣ Every time Suga leans in to show you a funny meme on his phone or throws his head back in laughter at a joke from the show, you find your heart skipping a beat.

➣ He is beautiful, basically an angel in your eyes, but he is also your best friend and you don’t think he has any interest in you like that. Not in the way you do.

➣ That’s how you get the idea to test his feelings.

➣ Being the troublemaker you are (how else would you and Suga get along so well?) you decide to shake things up by casually mentioning you’re interested in starting an OnlyFans and asking if he thinks its a good idea.

➣ You expect either of two reactions: either he’ll be as supportive as usual, possibly advising you to be cautious with strangers online like the mother hen he is, proving he only sees you as a friend—or he’ll tell you not to, possible evidence that likes you.

➣ The response you receive is not quite what you were expecting...

➣ Once the words leave your lips his head immediately whips around in your direction, light brown eyes looking at you with a serious expression on his face, something you’d never really seen before. It makes you uncomfortable and you begin to regret all of your life decisions.

➣ And that marks the day of you and Sugawara’s first kiss. ♡

↳ Nishinoya

➣ Your best friend, Nishinoya Yuu, is notoriously unabashed with his affections.

➣ The two of you have an interesting relationship—Noya has no qualms with expressing how pretty he thinks you are, borderline flirting with you at times, and you frequently return the favor.

➣ But you don’t take any of it seriously, of course, regardless of how much you secretly wish it were real. Everyone at Karasuno knows about Noya’s undying dedication to the volleyball club manager, Shimizu Kiyoko, and he confesses his love to her at least twice a day.

➣ Unbeknownst to you those professions became less and less frequent after he met you and now most of Karasuno thinks the two of you are basically dating

➣ The two of you are at the mall, a frequent hang out place where Noya can look at volleyball gear and you can browse manga at the bookstore, when you get the idea to prank your friend.

➣ “Hey, Noya? I’ve been thinking about finding a way to make more money but I don’t have time for a part-time job so I decided to make an OnlyFans—I already have a few subscribers.”

➣ Nishinoya nearly trips and falls flat on his face. You would have laughed if it weren’t for how he immediately grabs at your shoulders, staring at you with a mix of anger and fear.

➣ “Absolutely not! No one should be allowed to see your beautiful body like that but me!”

➣ You immediately fluster at his loud declaration, acutely aware of how other customers in the mall are giving the two of your strange looks as they walk by.

➣ “B-but Noya, we aren’t even dating—”

➣ “Then let’s start dating!”

➣ And what are you gonna do? Say no?

↳ Tsukishima

➣ Being friends with Tsukishima could be frustrating at times—a sentiment you and Yamaguchi frequently discuss when the blond isn’t around.

➣ Tsukishima likes to think most things are beneath him and he’s too cool to find enjoyment in activities most other friends enjoy, ranging from mini golf to video games. The man seems content to waste his life away studying and listening to music if it weren’t for you and Yamaguchi forcing him out of his room.

➣ Naturally, something like a prank war would be something Tsukishima would want no part of—not that that has ever stopped you.

➣ Usually, your pranks are failures. Either Tsukishima easily figures out what you’re doing before it can happen or he doesn’t give you the satisfaction of a reaction, chastising you for wasting your time pulling pranks when you have a failing grade in mathematics you’ll later beg him to help you study for.

➣ He still helps you though, he’s whipped

➣ Your newest prank however, you feel exceptionally confident in. Not only is it simple to pull off, only relying on your acting kills, but it also might answer your curiosity on whether you have a chance in getting your dearest Tsukki to see you as more than just a friend.

➣ The day you decide to do it the three of you are hanging out in Tsukishima’s bedroom as usual, you working on the math homework Tsukishima forced you to study while he reads a book and Yamaguchi sits in the corner reading a book.

➣ You had already discussed your plans with Yama beforehand, to which his expression looked suspiciously devious, like he knew something you didn’t know, as he proclaimed his support.

➣ You hear Tsukishima turning a page and decide to speak up.

➣ “Hey, Tsukki, have you heard of OnlyFans?”

➣ You hold back a snicker as you see Tsukishima visibly tense, his eyes widening behind his glasses for a moment before he relaxes. From the corner of your eyes you can see Yamaguchi smirking behind his comic, watching the blond closely.

➣ “...yeah, I’ve heard of it,” Tsukishima simply replies.

➣ “I’ve been thinking about making more money but I don’t have time for a part-time job so my friend suggested it. She said I could make over ten thousand yen a month.”

➣ “I think only the really attractive ones make that much.”

➣ You gasp, thoroughly offended, and Yamaguchi looks mildly annoyed by his friend’s response, already opening his mouth to chastise him for being so mean—but before he can say anything, Tsukishima is speaking again, still looking down at the book in his lap.

➣ “Don’t do it though.”

➣ “Why not?” You pout, refusing to look up at him when you speak.

➣ “...I don’t want the person I like to do those types of things.”

➣ You nearly choke on your own saliva, head darting up to stare at him in disbelief. Yamaguchi, for some reason, only smiles softly, looking unsurprised by the admission.

➣ “W-what? You...like me?”

➣ “Oi, shouldn’t you be studying? One more F and you’re gonna flunk out of the class, dummy.”

➣ You’re slightly disappointed by the change of subject but when you notice the soft pink on Tsukishima’s cheeks you can’t help but to smile the whole time you finish your homework.

AOBA JOUSAI

↳ Oikawa

➣ Oikawa is a busy guy.

➣ You were well aware of that before the two of you happened to be paired up for an assignment and got to know each other, eventually becoming close friends.

➣ Between volleyball practices, tournaments, magazine interviews, and appeasing a passionate fan club, Oikawa rarely has time for himself, let alone another person.

➣ Despite all of that, you could tell he always made sure to spend time with you, dedicating a few weekends a month to hanging out, just the two of you, and constantly texting you in the times the two of you couldn’t physically be together.

➣ From an outsider’s perspective, it was almost like the two of you were dating.

➣ But alas, you know the sad reality is that Oikawa is most certainly not your boyfriend and you have no idea if he has any interest in your like that…

➣ ...Which is why you decide to try to make him jealous one day to push him towards confessing his feelings, if they exist.

➣ The two of you are at a café, sipping lattes and gossiping about other students when you bring it up.

➣ “Y’know...I’ve been thinking of making an OnlyFans.”

➣ To your surprise, Oikawa’s eyes seem to light up, his lips curving into a smile of excitement.

➣ “Wow, really? Maybe I should make one too!”

➣ Oikawa immediately pulls out his cell phone and the color drains from your face as you realize your plan has completely backfired.

➣ “My fans are going to love this—hey do you think we can do a collab? The two of us in one pic would make us top creators for sure.”

➣ You can only nod numbly with a fake smile at Oikawa’s enthusiasm.

➣ Oh god, you’ve created a monster…

➣ Unless you’re Kuroo, becoming friends with Kenma is a nearly impossible feat. Actually making him want to spend time with you alone, even more so.

➣ But somehow, you managed to work your way into Kenma’s tightly knit social circle more like a two point line segment of him and Kuroo and your evenings after his volleyball practice are usually spent in one of your bedrooms, playing Splatoon and Animal Crossing until your Switches die or your parents force you to come home for dinner—whichever comes first.

➣ You love spending time with Kenma, his quiet presence somehow making you feel comfortable—but over time those feelings of ease have shifted into something more akin to nervousness and excitement as you’ve come to develop a crush on the setter.

➣ Every moment with him, watching the small smiles tug at his lips when he wins a match or his cute, frustrated pout when he can’t figure out how to defeat a boss makes your heart flutter and it’s becoming more and more painful to idly sit by without expressing your feelings.

➣ A direct confession, especially to a boy with nearly 0 social skills, is scary, so you want to be sure your feelings are returned before you even attempt to share them.

➣ Thus, you’ve decided to take Kuroo’s advice.

➣ “Push him into a corner. Kenma will only act when he thinks he has to.”

➣ You take a deep breath to steel your nerves before you speak, eying him sneakily from behind your Switch.

➣ “Gamer girls and boys are kind of trendy these days; I’m thinking about starting an OnlyFans to make money to buy more games.”

➣ The only visible response you receive is a slow blink as Kenma continues to play his game, fingers tapping furiously on the keys.

➣ “Ah...I don’t think that’s a good idea.”

➣ “Why not?”

➣ There are a few moments of silence between you two, the room only filled with the SFX of your games as Kenma seems to finish his round. You recognize the victory music as Kenma pauses to finally raise his gaze to meet your own.

➣ “It's your body so I can’t tell you what to do but...I would feel really jealous of all your subscribers.”

➣ And just like that, Kenma returns his attention to the video game, unpausing and starting a new match, blissfully unaware of you struggling to calm your racing heart and flushed cheeks.

i think house of gotham had a much better take on the concept of "person who feels they were wronged by batman as a child" than robins

YES I 100% AGREE!

The unnamed boy in House of Gotham grew to resent Batman more and more over time, because Batman kept failing him or doing things he didn't understand (like cycling through Robins, from an outsider child's perspective him having that realization when seeing Jason in action that Robin's a different boy than before... would be understandably weird and confusing!) Azbats made this much worse by actively harming him which wasn't so much on Bruce, but still. The unnamed boy's story was so totally not the 'one bad day' concept put in action, it was the build up of many years worth of incidents that were out of his control, and when we watched all these events happen from his POV it was absolutely understandable to see how & why he'd feel the way he did about Batman.

Meanwhile A.J./Jenny Wren... well this anon articulated some of the logic problems well:

Like, I get that her shooting Cormac Dodge is this thing she did out of panic- and that Bruce freaked out at her about it. But she still shot someone (and it wasn't that he was even like, physically attacking her and it was in self defense that way, it was in defense of information about herself), that's something you do have to face consequences for! Bruce absolutely still would have tried to do what he thought would help her after that, it's just that... the ways he'd try to help definitely wouldn't be the life she wanted where he took her in. She destroyed the chance of that when she shot the guy, which was her decision. And yeah, faking her death literally did just make it impossible for him to even try to help her. She was angry at Bruce for a situation that she in large part caused for herself.

In House of Gotham when the unnamed boy has his final confrontation with Bruce, Bruce knows how he'd specifically let this boy down and how he could have maybe done things differently... and everything feels understood. We're watching this interaction and knowing each of their points of view, there's logic to each of their ways of thinking, even as they rehash the age old debate of 'fucking hell Batman can't we please just kill the Joker?'

But with A.J., it feels like she's supposed to be sympathetic but we're just left going "Wait what??" trying to understand how Bruce could have done anything all that differently, to try to understand what her perspective is here. Bruce acting remorseful about it after she yells all her "Why couldn't you fix me too?!" stuff at him... the "I was afraid. That you were too much like me. That I couldn't help you. That I couldn't break the cycle. You didn't fail Gauntlet Zero, A.J. I did." just makes NO fucking sense to me the more I think about it.

Like, she shot someone, in the words of Bruce in this very comic "She'd used the weapon of the enemy. She'd killed in cold blood. I couldn't accept someone like her." How is that being 'too much like' him?? If it had been Bruce feeling like he'd let her down by letting her stay involved in things (while taking down Cormac Dodge) to begin with? Totally. That could make sense. But the way it plays out here just does not add up. If the comic had the characters call her out on how irrational her entire premise was, then it could have worked! Villains don't need to be rational! But it's presented as if her whole thing makes sense, so it's just very ???

But anyways, yeah. I think House of Gotham definitely pulled off this sort of concept in a far more successful way.

Hawkeye episode 1 & 2

My sister in all of her cruelty picked this specific day (Nov 24) to finish her applications. She made me wait a entire day to watch Hawkeye!!!!!!!!

Generally, I loved it.

Is Clint a bit sidelined IN HIS OWN SHOW?! Yes, but they’re trying to introduce a whole new character. So, as long as the next episodes are more Clint-centric, or at least have the same screen time, I’ll be ok with that. They’re gonna work together from now on, so it should get better.

I feel like the intro was more like a short way to tell Kate’s backstory using the art from the comics, not as an actual intro to the whole show. It’s not there in episode 2.

It does feel slow, but that’s kind of how I felt about FATWS. So again, I’ll wait for more episodes.

Regardless, I think the bits we got about Clint were really good:

Watching his iconic scene from Avengers 2012 from Kate’s perspective was awesome!

Overall, I love Kate. But Clint is still my main focus.

So even if (some of ) the following tend to be canon (only) in the comics, I see them working really well with the DCEU as well as all other incarnations!

Lois, possibly - coz Clark would've been in and out- saving the day (doesn't mean he wasn't stressed though!)

Who decorated the house?

While moving in? Both. Taking the time to find the perfect spot for everything Otherwise- I'm betting Clark. (I picture him to be picky about indoor decor (also- he's the one who puts in an effort to keep everything neat and tidy and properly in place,)

Who does the cooking?

Again, CLARK! 😂. And he's an exceptional chef- Lois is absolutely appreciative of that, and Clark simply spoils her with heavenly meals and desserts.

Who is more organized?

Clark (Wow- Kent you've outdone yourself!)...we all have seen the state of Lois' desk at the planet(and outside)!

IMO- Lois. (As surprising as it may appear to be! And I'm pretty sure it wasn't an intentional conversation- it came up and they had a long enlightening talk).

I think they're both pros in that field (which is saying something, as Lois is pretty foreign to that sort of thing)

Who’s the big spoon/little spoon?

Clark's the big spoon, definitely. It works the other way too, sometimes! (That is-when she isn't purposefully sprawling herself over him)

My head canons literally suck but.. they love slow dancing (Lois is terrible at it and was initially mortified by that idea but, still...)- may it be on Valentine's day, their anniversary or any other festive/non festive occasion- it just comes naturally.

Do they have any “rituals”?
