Got called "Mentally Ill", my life reduced to an "ideology" like my situation is a matter of belief not fact, and diagnosed with a condition I don't have by someone who's not a medical professional and I've never had a therapy session with, all in the same ask. Really paints a clear picture what being transphobic is about at it's core.
I don't go around telling people to go kill themselves for being cisgender. I don't call them "mentally ill" for not being transgender. I don't ignore medical science and unbiased study to diagnose them with conditions they don't have. I don't target what I perceive as their insecurities to try and make them feel bad or upset and make the mental conditions they do suffer from get worse. I don't tell them the world is better off without them. I don't wish them to be murdered to their face.
Me being transgender is no more an ideology than anyone in the world being cisgender. It's just a fact about my life that I live with and deal with on my path to become a happier, kinder, compassionate, empathetic, and more helpful person. What -is- an ideology, is going around telling people like me, with a past history of suicide, to go die because you believe we're not natural, that we're somehow a threat to the world for being born the way we are, denying any aspect of our experiences and lives that give us credibility in the face of your hatred, harm, and cruelty; and thinking we don't deserve equal rights, respect, and access to healthcare.
I'm transgender. I'm human. I'm not the asshole trying to make people suffer. I fight for equality, a kinder world, a more accepting world of people who are harmless and weird. None of us are free until all of us are. All of us deserve to be equal.
You've been reported, but I know you'll just make a new account to harass me. But that's okay, because every time one of you comes to attack me, the world sees who the true villain is. I can weather the pain you try to cause me, because after 26 almost 27 years now of it, I've learned to get back up and fight harder. It's all I know how to do. Because at the end of the day, if I can't fight for myself, I can fight for those next to me, I can fight for their equality.

A friendly reminder that disabled/high risk people are still unable to attend LGBTQ Pride events due to not wearing masks. LGBTQ community cannot claim to be inclusive until we can safely exist in those spaces.

I need to run this poll to test a theory to see if I’m right or it’s just a coincidence (insert airplane survivorship image)
please read all options before answering + reblog for larger sample size. I assume results may be slightly biased because of the website we’re on though.

Shout out to the trans people whose transition won’t be straight forward. To those whose dysphoria can’t be fixed by transitioning one direction or the other. To the ones who have been debating going on hormones for months, or even years. To trans people whose genders make it hard for them to imagine ever feeling 100% satisfied with their appearance, or even 100% comfortable in their body. Never let anyone tell you that your transition, or lack thereof, is wrong.

Hey friends! Since I am actually going to be using it more regularly, it's a great time for a reintroduction here on Tumblr! ✨
I’m Vix (they/them), a professional concept artist and character designer living in Mi'kma'ki/Nova Scotia. I like working on a combination of in-studio and freelance projects. I’m currently picking away at an indie visual novel in my free time!
I am infatuated with bright colours in both art and life, and my work focuses on unique character designs, queer themes, and fashion. My influences are video games, comics, sci-fi/fantasy, nature, Art Nouveau and fashion.
In my personal life I’m a non-binary ADHDer who dresses like a kid's television host and has fun hair. The enrichment in my enclosure currently includes: holographic/iridescent objects, maximalism, animals, cozy games, visual novels, tabletop gaming, indie horror, my two sweet cats, and the Kalimba.

Went to the Pride parade in London yesterday. Had an amazing time, there were literally thousands of queer people and allies all around me. I felt so safe, and accepted. One of my coworkers came with me to be a supportive buddy. And I got to educate him on the varying Flags and identities that were on display.
I got in a mock fight with somebody dressed in as a medieval spearman. I had complimented them on their look, (which included big fancy facial hair curlicues) and they stopped and, "Went wait wait I had planned to have the biggest hat here!" So I whipped mine off to compare sizes and their friend was like, "There's no contest, you're not even close!" My hat was bigger. Haha I win. They immediately went "Noooo.. I-I'll fight you!" So I whipped my hat off again to use as a shield and their friend goes, "No good! Shield too big!" Haha.
We saw furries, we saw Pupmen (boys?), we saw every flag on the list, we saw families covered in rainbows, we saw so many rainbows! We saw drag queens, we saw friends, we saw Family.
It was a really fun and awesome day and I'm so so grateful that I was able to experience that. Seeing the amount of families there just everybody chilling and having a good time and complimenting each other. There was literally no hate at all, no protesters showed up, it was all just about love. It was absolutely wonderful.

You're not LGBTQIA+ inclusive if you police transgender or intersex bodies, and expressions.
This goes out to transgender and cisgender people everywhere. I don't care if you're gay, bi, lesbian, aro, ace, an ally, etc.
If you think art, literature, or media shouldn't depict men with boobs and a vagina, or flat chested women with penises, because it's "fetishistic", let me be very damn clear: if you don't get the same feelings from seeing cisgender men and women in the same situations, you are the one oversexualizing trans bodies, not the artist, author, animator, or producer. You aren't being an ally, you're promoting bigotry; go check yourself.
I'm quite frankly tired of walking into supposedly LGBTQIA+ friendly spaces only to find out that my presence is unwanted because I don't conform to the cisgender man and woman body expectation. You're not an ally to me or people like me, you're a fucking threat preying on the hope the acronym and flag provide that say you'll be kind and inclusive. And frankly, thats awefully shitty of you, more shitty than just dropping the T or I from the acronym and putting up signs I'm not allowed, because at least you're letting me know in advance to stay away and not telling me I'm disgusting and unacceptable to you to my face.
I exist, and I shouldn't have to conform to cisgender male or female expectations to be recognized for my existence.

I’m scared for the future of the United States… the anti-trans and anti-lgbtqia+ bills being passed and policies being changed is genuinely terrifying and I am thoroughly considering fleeing to Canada
