How Pretender Class apparently works
Vortigern: So I'm the only member of this super edgy new class. Those who have given false representation, deceiving and misleading others to do great deeds. Not a fake or counterfeit, but someone who deceives even the soul until more power and greater achievements than the real thing remain—
ProtoMerlin: ...
ProtoMerlin: ...
ProtoMerlin: I'm Lady Avalon. Otherwise known as "Not-Merlin". I'm totally and completely Not-Merlin from this world. I'm not actually going to disguise myself or anything. This class is almost as easy to qualify for as Grand Caster.

Part One
The drive's short one.
Steve gets out of his car, opening the passenger door for Chrissy and escorting her up to the house, quietly envisioning what Jason would look like if a real monster got him.
What would he say, staring down the crazy, five-starred head, filled with teeth and drool? Would he turn back? Or run?
(Steve swears he doesn't take great pleasure in imagining Carver getting eaten, but he'll admit to taking a little.)
"Chrissy do you have any idea--oh." Mrs. Cunningham startles, grasping her robe at the front as she spots Steve standing next to her daughter.
"Hi Miss Cunningham." He says.
"Hello." She says suspiciously. "And who are you?"
"I'm Steve Harrington, ma'am." He watches as her mother straightens immediately at his name, and sinks right into the ol' Harrington charm, knowing instantly it will work. "I know you were expecting Jason, but I'm afraid he wasn't able to drive Chrissy home."
"Oh, Steve! It's so late I almost didn't recognize you." She titters, suspicion gone. "Your mother and I are on the same charity board."
Of course they were.
"I thought you were dating that nice Nancy girl." She says with a squint that mimics Chrissy's, because even in the midst of a crisis he can't escape the gossip that is Hawkins upper echelon.
"Nance is waiting in the car." Steve lies smoothly. "I just wanted to make sure Chrissy got home safe."
"What happened?" Chrissy's father appears, ushering them both in while blatantly peering around them, eyes sweeping the street before closing the door.
Steve recognizes the move. He's checking for nosy neighbors.
"Jason and I broke up." Chrissy admits.
"What?"
"We..." She falters in front of her parents.
"What happened to Jason?" Her father asks, tuning back in once they're safely away from peering eyes.
"I'm afraid Jason and some of his friends brought beer to the party." Steve steps in to explain.
"Oh Chrissy, it's a high school party. That's no reason to break up with him." Her mother fusses, face flushing in embarrassment. Her eyes dart from her daughter to Steve and back, and Steve knows he needs to start damage control.
If he plays it right he can burn Jason while he's at it.
"He was horrible, mom. Just awful." Chrissy says, but Steve can tell she's shrinking under her mothers gaze.
"He drank quite a lot, Miss Cunningham." With a theatrical wince, Steve turns to face Chrissy's dad, lowers his voice and says "I'm going to have to talk to Coach about it."
He gets the intended response, which is a raised eyebrow. "That bad, huh?"
Steve nods once, painting a pained smile on his face. "He made a real fool of himself tonight, Sir. The basketball team has a reputation to uphold."
"Oh." Mrs. Cunningham says, hand fluttering in front of her face. "I never would have thought…"
"He's normally a good guy. I don't know what got into him." Steve has them both eating out of the palm of his hand, attention neatly off Chrissy and onto the story he's feeding them.
Its worth it to see her shoulders relax.
"I couldn't let him take Chrissy home in the state he was in Sir, and he got very…"
Steve pauses.
Fills his voice with tempered disappointment, channeling his dad. "Belligerent. Said some nasty things."
"Really?" Mr. Cunningham says, with a low whistle, and Steve knows by his tone alone that he's bought in.
Hook, line, sinker.
Steve nods once. "I have to get back to my girlfriend, but Chrissy'" He turns earnestly here, to let her know he's not faking this next bit. "Let me know if Jason bothers you at school. I'll set him straight again if I have to."
"Thank you Steve." Mr. Cunningham says, as Chrissy's mom hustles her daughter towards the kitchen.
Steve shakes his hand, then waves at Crissy as she calls her own thank you over her shoulder, before disappearing out the door and back to his car.
The same one where Nancy very much isn't.
That's a problem for tomorrow Steve.
xXx
Tomorrow Steve gets into an argument with Nancy.
She can't recall that Jonathan took her home, or that he's bullshit, their whole relationship, bullshit--
But she also can't tell him she loves him.
So Steve snaps at her. Storms off.
 Play’s more basketball.
It takes less than two hours for him to get mopey and another three for him to spiral into deciding he was wrong somehow.
That's what his mom said all the time anyway, wasn't it? The man's always wrong Steven, and he's the man here so…
He gets flowers, chocolates, and fucking waylaid (by Dustin Henderson with his Grow a Monster) and things go sideways from there.
Train tracks and a junkyard and demodogs make time speed up. An encounter with Billy and a dinner plate causes Steve's recollection of the evening to be fuzzy.
He just knows that in the middle of dodging death, he has the realization that Nance wants to break up with him.
That he should let her.
Even if it hurts, even if he doesn't want to.
She wants to be let go.
So Steve does. He respects her, and when he has a moment after its all over, he tells her to go with Jonathan.
(At least he permanently gets the squirts out if this. Or at least everyone but Mike.
Even if most of them are shitheads and one of them's Hargrove's step sister.
It's--something.
But when Dustin keeps pestering him, demanding Steve drive him all over Hawkins and then drags him to the movies, well.
It might be the best something Steve's had in his life so far. )
xXx
"Oh shit. Is that from Caver?" Eddie asks, popping up near Steve's car like the clown in a jack in the box.
"Carver can't hit for shit. This was Hargrove." Steve replies, attempting an eyeroll before remembering that his entire face is a bruise.
One, giant, never ending bruise.
"I guess his step sister gave him the slip to come hang out with these kids I watch sometimes. I didn't know she wasn't supposed to be there." Steve shrugs, because it's the technical truth.
If you turn it sideways and squint anyway.
"Asshole tried to threaten the kid Max is into by slamming him into a wall and screaming shit, so I stepped in, and--" He waves at his face.
The same one he's already getting looks for.
"I was winning." Steve sighs theatrically. "He broke a plate over my head."
The story seemed to freeze Eddie but he recovers with a quick shake of his head.
"You poor thing." He tuts. "Let me guess--you were more worried about the hair than the wound?"
Eddie's hands flutter like he's going to touch Steve's head but he seems to contain himself at the last minute.
The hospital threatened to buzz it for stitches." Steve says darkly, playing into the bit.
(He had not gone to a hospital.
None of them had.)
"What would our King be without his crown of hair?" Eddie laments, in a falsetto that was half insult half oddly sincere. It was jarring in that it was hard to get a read on, but the more Steve was around the guy the less it seemed malicious and the more it came off  as just….goofy.
Eddie Munson, Steve decided, was not a freak.
He was a dorky little weirdo, just like all the other kids Steve now hung out with.
Just older, and with slightly better hair.
"Hey Eddie." Another boy calls out, approaching cautiously.
He's got a leather jacket on, and if Steve thinks hard enough he can sort of conjure up a memory of the guy at Eddie's lunch table, throwing a piece of bread at a pale sophomore decked out in plaid. "You good man?"
"Yeah Jeff, just checkin' in on the Hair here." Eddie sticks a thumb towards Steve, who raises his hand and waves.
The falsetto comes back, somehow higher as the older boy swoons over Steves arm. "Soothing his poor soul after that brute Hargrove almost killed him."
"Has anyone ever told you you're a lot like Bugs Bunny?" Steve asks, the thought leaving his mouth the instant he had it.
(He doesn't care, it's a legitimate question.)
It has the effect of making Munson look downright chuffed. "I have actually, but only by my Uncle."
"Why are you checking in?" Jeff interrupts, before seeming to realize he said it out loud. " Ah, I mean--"
"Oh he didn't tell you?" Steve says, as casually as he can muster. "Eddie claimed me and Chrissy at a party last weekend."
See Munson? Two people could play the weird bit game.
They've attracted more of Eddie's friends now, two more boys in leather jackets edging closer like frightened deer.
(One of which is the aforementioned younger man Jeff threw bread at, and Steve vaguely thinks the guy's name starts with a g.)
"Apparently we're his minions now." Steve tells Jeff in a rather put upon manner.
"It was just you, the fair maiden chose otherwise." Eddie counters dismissively, voice dropping down low.
Steve snorts. Hums a sarcastic; "Like you'd let us choose."
Eddie finally abandons whatever voice that was supposed to be (a villain, Steve thinks, and wonders if it hurts Eddies throat to drop from a false high to a deep low that quickly.)  to say:
"Mock me all you like, Harrington, but you can't deny the bit worked."
Steve automatically went for another eye roll, and gets a flash of pain for it. "Who said I was mocking you, you dork? Just stating facts."
Yet again, Eddie reacts weird to the comment. He looks almost bashful for a second, before he recovers, tugging his hair in front of his face as he plays with it.
The bell rings once in warning, and Steve makes a face towards the doors.
"I gotta go, Mrs Clicks out to fail me. See you around, Eddie. Jeff." The way his eyes are bruised up he can't quite make out the face Jeff makes at that, but Steve's pretty sure the guys mouth was open.
"She's a nasty one, my minion, best stay on your toes around her." Eddie calls, and Steve waves a hand in the air to show he heard.
"What just happened?" Jeff asks, far too loudly for how close Steve still is.
It makes him chuckle a bit, even as one of the other guys says something in a far quieter voice that has Munson squawking and flapping his arms like a bird.
The winding little feelings in his chest squeeze his heart, and Steve shakes his head, refusing to be fond of Eddie Munson.
xXx
College rejection letters come in, one after the another.
Steve could have made it into a few schools he's certain, except he hadn't really applied to any.
Not that any college other than Penn Hurst mattered. His dad wanted him to be a legacy, come hell or high water.
Steve's punishment was hand picked by his parents, and he gets the sailor outfit his new minimum wage job requires is supposed to be a part of it--that his dad made him apply because it was the most embarrassing thing he could think to subject Steve too-- but honestly?
It's not that bad.
Not even with Robin, the manager he met yesterday, and who positively, completely and totally, hates Steve’s guts.
He figures he has time to win her over.
All the time in the world, now that demons aren't trying to eat his, or any of the kid's, faces. He can focus on the small things. Build himself back up.
Figure out the person he wants to be, now that he's no longer King Steve.
It’s the thought that kept him from attending any graduation parties. To go felt like backsliding into old habits.
‘If the kids--if it comes back again--’
Getting drunk at night in a random house seemed almost irresponsible.
Particularly not with people Steve has history with, without anyone he really cares about being present. Certainly not Nance and Jonathan, who he wishes he didn’t know are at some end-of-year game night one of Nancy’s friends is hosting.
(Steve can’t think about that for a number of reasons.
When he does--because of course he does-- he makes sure to focus on the weirdness that is Jonathan Byers being someone he cares about, instead of the fact he can’t seem to kill his love for Nancy.
Or that he's horrifically jealous of their relationship.
That the best sleep he had ever had was between them, two nights after the lab, when they crammed themselves into Jonathan's bed because they all couldn't quite believe it was over.
That night had been so incredibly weird, but grouping together felt safer. Smarter.
Better.
Not in a way Steve wants to put into words.
Not in a way he wants to confront at all.)
His parents hadn’t been able to make it home to watch him walk at his graduation--his father landing a last minute meeting with some important person or other.
Faked apologies were given, money transferred, and Steve, not wanting to sit in his too-huge house, had meandered to Family Video.
Tried to forget his father’s cold voice in the background of his mother’s call, loudly announcing he’d have made it a priority to see Steve graduate-- if he’d gotten into Penn Hurst.
Steve just shakes his head. Pushes those thoughts into the back of his head, into the same place all his other weird thoughts live.
The glare he gets from the tall, pimple-ridden guy working the rental counter was expected.
Chrissy Cunningham, was not.
"I thought you’d be at one of the parties.” He tells her, when he turns down the romance aisle and finds her staring blankly at a shelf.
She startles, before recognition flits over her face and a warm smile is directed his way.
“I'm honestly not a fan of parties." She confides in him, hand clutching a tape in her hands."Not those kinds, anyway.”
"More slumber parties, less keg stands your speed?" Steve guessed, blatantly turning his head sideways in order to read the title.
She awards him with a wider smile. "Exactly."
"Chrissy Cunningham. Are you renting Jaws?" He teases, leaning in just a touch.
She flushes, but turns and squares up to him. Steve's delighted to see it.
"Why yes I am. I'll do you one better and even admit it's one of my favorite movies."
Steve grins at her, and sees the way she lights up on response, eyes bright.
This is the Chrissy that Carver had tried to kill. The strength and pure fun that radiates off her enhances the beauty she has to something almost otherworldly.
Steve has seen enough beauty in his life to recognize when it will stay. That Chrissy wil one day be 80 years old, with gray hair and knit sweaters, and she'll still be able to light up a room.
"Like sharks killing people that much huh?” He teases. And it’s easy, slipping into this part of himself around her. The part he’s been trying to get back.
The confidence that he walked with, before monsters crawled out of the ground, and Nancy put a hole in his heart.
"I'll let you in on a secret. ." Chrissy leans in, dropping her voice low enough that Steve has to lean in a bit too to hear. "My favorite character is the shark."
Steve playfully gapes at her, and for the first  time in a long time, feels like things will be okay.
He’ll be okay.
He won’t be King Steve. He’s not Nancy's Boyfriend Steve either--but someone else. Himself.
A Steve who exists outside of Hawkins High, outside his family name.
He likes it.
"I told you that was his car. Steve!" A too familiar voice calls and Steve can't mask the despair that hits him as he turns to his (now least) favorite shithead, whose storming through Family Video’s doors.
"Dustin." He identifies, with an edge to his voice he can only pray Chrissy doesn't pick up on. "Other brats. What are you doing?"
Mike stands stubbornly at Dustin's right, Lucas nervous at his left.
Will Byers is situated next to Mike but Steve's not as familiar with him, and has no idea how to interpret the kid.
If he had to guess based on the face he’s being sent, Will’s more nervous then the rest--but equally determined.
(This does not make Steve feel better. It in fact, somewhat convinces them they’ve run headfirst back into trouble.)
"Well we were going to go to Lucas’s, but now, we're bumming a ride from you!"
"I'm busy." He says flatly.
"Ste~eeeve!"
"I didn't know you had a brother." Chrissy says, hand covering her mouth.
Looking back at her, Steve's pretty sure she's trying to physically hold back laughter.
If one could shoot lasers with their eyes, Steve would be nailing Dustin for ruining--whatever it was that was happening here.
"He's a rescue" Steve says flatly. "It’s not working out though. We're planning on returning him to the shelter.”
"Wow Steve." Dustin returns, offended. "First of all, if anyone's rescuing anyone I rescued you, or did you suddenly forget that you show up to family dinner every Thursday at my house like a sad orpha--mmpphh!"
‘Mmpphh’ because Steve had taken several long strides across the store to smack his hand over Dustin's mouth.
"Sorry Chrissy, it would appear the asshole children I am paid to babysit escaped whoever is supposed to be watching them." He shakes Dustins head, in lue of strangling him. “Hit me up later we’ll discuss the shark’s best kills.”
“Will do.” Chrissy says, as Steve begins the process of shoving his four smaller friends out the door. “Drive safe!”
“No you don’t, and you’re gonna prove it by swinging through McDonalds for us.” Dustin sing-songs, swinging himself into the passenger side of the Beemer.
“You assholes owe me, big time.” Steve hisses, as Lucas and Mike instantly begin making kissy faces the second they’re out into the parking lot. "I had plans tonight!"
“Do you have McDonalds money?” Steve asks, only to immediately wince at himself because fuck did he just sound like a soccer mom.
“I have money I took out of my mom’s wallet.” Mike says as he settles into the car with his friends.
“Fine.” Steve sighs in defeat, starting the car.
He determinedly does not ask if the idiots walked here, because there is a suspicious lack of bicycles, if only because he hit his mom quota for the day and Steve refuses to say anything else that might edge out his cool persona.
The one he swears he still has.
Supposedly.
("Does my mom really pay you to watch me?" Dustin asks a while later, when the other brats are distracted. His voice is painfully honest, and softer than it normally is.
"In food, yes." Steve says, because he’s not that much of an asshole--and maybe, because Dustin is truly his only friend right now.
Steve honestly looks forward to those Thursday dinners, helping Ma Henderson and having her fuss over him in a way his parents never had.
In a way no one ever had.
Dustin lands a solid kick to his ankle, making Steve curse. "That's not payment you ass!"
"Ow, God Dustin--"
"Just admit you're my actual friend, you dick!"
"Language! I swear your mom stole you from wolves, you animal--" Steve swatted at him.
Maybe, possibly later, he will go on to admit that yes, Dustin is his friend.
He will even agree to making up a stupid handshake for it.
It involves lightsabers and gore at least, which Steve insists is very cool.)

╰➤ MASTERLIST pt1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
An abrasive feminist who does nothing but hate on men, that's what you were known for. Silena, a beautiful and kind girl who was adored through out school, that's what she was known for.
No one would've guess you two were sisters.
As you walked out of class, music ripping through your headphones, you found your sister out by the parking lot talking with a guy. Luke Castellan to be exact. You couldn't help but roll your eyes as you approached her.
"Yo Silena, time to head home," you crossed your arms as she turned. She knew of your opinion on the single brain-celled men of the town, but she seemed to think the opposite.
"Um, you can go home without me. I have-" she looked back at Luke, flashing a quick smile-, "a ride already."
You rolled your eyes once more, fake gagging as you headed down to your red car. "Whatever."
As you walked off, Charles Beckendorf couldn't keep his eyes off Silena. "She's beautiful."
"Not a chance," Leo said from behind him. "Her dad has a strict rule with no dating. Don't even bother."
"No I need to try. I know I have this."
"Yeah okay, I mean unless you know French your not getting anywhere near her."
"Im a fast learner," Leo couldn't help but laugh at the response.
﹒º. ౨ৎ
As you sat in your car, making your way toward the exit of the parking lot, you saw the most infuriating sight possible. It was your sister riding in that douches convertible. 'Oh what dad would say,' you laughed to yourself.
When you got home, you were sitting in your living room reading a book when your dad walked in with the mail. He saw one with your name on it as your sister walked in late.
"Sarah Lawrence? That's across the country, what happened to staying local?"
"Dad, that's what you decided, this is my dream," your dad turned around, noticing your sisters presence. "Would a certain someone like to announce who drove them home?"
You had a smug smile on your face, though Silena didn't find this so amusing. "Excuse me, what is your sister talking about?"
"Nothing," Silena exclaimed. Your dad gave her the look, the look saying I know you're lying so don't try it. "Luke drove me home."
She groaned and stomped around as your dad continued to drill into your brains how he refused to let you both date till college, absolutely wanting to avoid teen pregnancy.
"The boys here are massive incels who lack the knowledge of a shower, I like being single," you mused.
"God what planet are you even from?"
"Enough, both of you. Sit," your father instructed. "I know you hate the rule so fine, I'll change it. You can date."
Silena started squealing until your dad pointed at you. "When she does."
You snorted as Silena started yelling, "Oh my god, have you met her? She's probably gonna die alone!!"
"Then you'll never date," your dad smiled as he walked off toward his room.
"Can't you just take some tooth-gapped loser on a date so I can go out??"
"Nope," you sang out, popping the p as you walked off toward your room.
﹒º. ౨ৎ
Silena ran into the library where she and Charles met up for their French lesson. "Oh hey, um, Silena."
"Yeah hi. Any chance we can make this quick?"
"Uh yeah, we can just start with some pronunciations, or we can just get some French food and call it a day," Charles chucked, Silena stared narrowed eyed.
"Are you asking me out," Charles started stammering, "It's not like I could even go anyways."
"I thought maybe if you called it French tutoring then-"
"At least not til my sister finds a date, so yeah. Never. Going. Out," she rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"I'm sure it can't be that hard to find her a date."
Silena laughed, "Yeah right. Have you met her? She's impossible."
"I mean there's someone there for everyone, can't be impossible to find her one."
"Are you saying you would?"
"Would what? Find her a date," Silena shook her head aggressively. "I mean, if it means your let out of your prison... I'll do it.. for you."
As she squealed, Charles sat back wondering what the fuck he just agreed to do.
"Dude you're fucked," Leo said as he drank from his juice box. They were sitting in biology together as Charles was starting to freak out. "Why would you promise the impossible??"
"You don't understand. Silena is everything I've ever dreamed of."
"You spoken to her twice."
"Whats your point?"
"My point is we've asked nearly every guy in school, and they all wanna steer clear. You're cooked," Leo went on but Charles wasn't listening. Behind Leo, was a rugged raven-haired boy ripping the frog they were directing in half like it was a rotisserie chicken. He was laughing with his friends, two burly dudes. One looking like the perfect American boy, and the other with a cute baby face.
"I've found our guy," Charles pointed toward him. Leo just raised his brows.
"Dude, that kid literally went missing for like 8 months. Are you sure?"
"Whats his name?"
"Percy Jackson."
"I'm sure. I'm telling you. Got any ideas to convince him?"
"Your not gonna like where I'm going with this."
Leo wouldn't say the plan, so Charles knew it was ridiculous, but it's not like he had another plan. In the cafeteria, Charles watched from a distance as Luke Castellan drew a dick on Leo's face. When he came back, dick still on his face, he said the plans in motion.
"Okay, now will you please explain," Charles asked.
"We're gonna double agent. I convinced Luke to pay Percy into taking your crazy sister-in-law out on dates. While he's busy coughing up payments, you make your move."
"Lets just hope this doesn't backfire."
﹒º. ౨ৎ
The next day Leo made his way over toward Percy and his two other friends. "Hey guys!"
Leo greeted the three as 'baby face' patted his shoulder. "You guys know each other?"
"You know, I'm the one who got my boy here Frank with his girlfriend Hazel," Leo gloated.
"So you are a matchmaker?"
"A matchmaker, not a miracle worker," Leo rolled his eyes.
"Whats up bro?"
"I assumed Luke spoke to you," Percy nodded, clearly confused. "Perfect, we have an idea for you."
"Go on."
"You see my boy here," Leo pointed to Charles. "He'd be a much better option for the 'amazing' Silena. So we need you to make sure Luke can't get his hands on her."
"Dude, I'm getting paid one way or the other, no offense but I can only do so much."
"I'm telling you, stop stressing," the blonde one said. Leo whispered in Charles ear, saying 'thats Jason by the way.'
"Yeah, if you like her, then make it happen," Percy said as he walked off.
"God this is stressful," Charles groaned.

Tumblr media
You were their victim, all throughout highschool and now as a teacher. Still their victim, even though you three had grown up that didn't stop them, Satoru. Suguru.
Fucken assholes, calling you names, making fun of how you look, talked, anuthin' they could.
It was miserable, you couldn't do anything against them either way so it was pointless, the only reasonable person in your life was Shoko
"I swear I'm gonna kill them." You mutter to her dramatically falling back onto her bed, "I know they're annoying " she replies glam in over at you, she was the only person you could TALK to. At least she was always there as a buffer between you and the bastards, always let you rant and scream with her.
They never fucked around with Shoko though, no idea why they won't respect you but they will her.
Tumblr media
"I'm so tireddd" you groan leaning back in the empty classroom, your students were currently out on a mission, probobly not dead. Shoko was off doing god knows what and, well there was Gojo and Geto. Honestly it was a pretty good day, they weren't around you; they were doing their own thing. Meaning you get peace and quiet. Which is rare.
"Hey y/n! What's up" the way too familiar voice echos, sound of the creaking door opening. Standing in the doorway the men.
"The hell do you want" you murmmer looking over at them, eyes halflided looking both grosed out and annoyed. Typical reaction to seeing those dicks.
"You looked lonely, thought we'd stop by" suguru said causally, shrugging his shoulders.
"Whatever bullshit your up to, I don't care" you say plainly, to your dismay they don't leave though. Coming up closer to you, Satoru talking about random shit, suguru just looking over at you. You were leaning on one of the old desks, too tired to be bothered to get rid of the pests
Satoru coming up beside you pulling on your hair harshly, slightly whimper comes from your lips
"Oh fuck sugu~ hear that" the white haired one says smirking like a cunt
Pulling away from him, standing a few feet away from them. "Fucken' whore" he whispers small laugh coming from him
" 'toru aren't you being a bit mean to the poor thing?" Geto hums, hands in his pockets. Eyes lingering on the display infront of him
"Nah shes not crying it's fine!! Sugu don't be such a downer " Satoru says fake frown on his dumb little face. Looking back over at you his hand going to grab your face, only to be stopped by you slapping it away
"Don't touch me." You say short, teeth gritting
"Bitch oh you're gonna regret that" he glaring at you, roughly grabbing onto your shoulders pushing you firmly against the wall, his grip tight, nails digging into your soft skin though the fabric of your uniform
Before briefly releasing you, shoving you down. Honestly you're kinda shocked, shocked that he thinks he can just get away with this. But of course it doesn't even MATTTER suguru's standing beside the cunt. They both have a devilsh look on their eyes which made you shudder, brows furrowed at them
"Yknow I've- fuck always been more a dog person"
Tumblr media
Fucking humiliation is all you felt, they had you on your knees. Hands held behind your back, gagging on Satoru, even worse was your soaked panties, the fact you were getting off on this
Suguru sat on a chair behind you, holding your wrists firmly, while you were buried between satorus legs, his hand held on your hair gripping it and fucking your sore throat. Only sloppy moans came from you, tears in your eyes
"Shit you crying? What happened to tellin us to fuck off ?" Suguru laughs, using his free hand to rub the tears off your face.
"Mmf- don't even have a gag reflex you really are - fuck a slut huh?" Satoru says, forcing you to take his whole length, feeling his seed seep into your throat.
He pulls out, still semi hard dick in his hand "swallow." He said, watching you, a teary pretty little mess choke it down, face all red.
"Better listen hunny" suguru mutters patting the side of your cheek, you would almost think it was endearing if it wasn't for your situation.
No matter how much you tried you just couldn't make a coherent sentence, just babbles of cuss words.
"F-fuck y- you-"'
"Use your words" suguru says again in that sickly sweet tone
Satoru still up in front of you, looking down at you as if you're a bug.
"I h- hiccup hate- you. " Only words to come out of your mouth, wasn't really what they wanted to hear but it was something !
Suguru letting go of your wrists , releasing you, thighs were pressed together , dribbles of cum coming down from your chin with still teary eyes, awe it made satorus heart melt. For a moment he almost wanted to take away all the pain you were in, but then you wouldn't be crying so what's the fun in that?
"I'll take care of you hm? Alright hunny?" Suguru says, picking you up, bending your down, stomach down and ass up on the cold desk you were sitting on, you still had all your clothes on. Well despite your shirt being ever so slightly unbuttoned. Suguru with ease pulled down your sweats, your white lacey panties soaked, small giggle comes from Satoru after seein' that
"I was just jokin' damn, slutty one aren't ya?"
Suguru gently pulling them off, handing them to Satoru who proceeds to jam them in your mouth, making you taste your own filth, hearing suguru unbutton his pants, running his dick on your slit making muffled moans escape from you
Bullying his dick into your right hole, soft groans is all that's heard in the room, suguru has your legs resting on his hips while he digs into you.
Hands digging into your ass, earning small whines from you
His pace wasn't as bad at Satorus, still sore though. Till eventual you can feel him slowdown chasing his high, pulling close into you and cumming inside, hands still gripped onto your ass making small red marks.
"Cries too much" Satoru says pushing you over onto suguru
"Satoru, be nice they've been through enough ~"
"Mfm-sore- hurt" you whine snuggling closer to them
Huh, maybe they aren't so bad.

you begrudgingly pulled your blanket off you and went to the bathroom to brush your teeth. you were fighting so hard to not crawl back in your bed and sob into your pillow. it was the anniversary of your mom's death and all you wanted to do was cry.
you got in your uniform and put sunscreen and lotion on your face, not bothering to do anything else. you grabbed your bag and your phone and went out your door. your dad was standing there making coffee when he turned around to walk over to you and embrace you in a hug. "good morning baby" he pulled you back to see your quivering lip.
"i know, i miss her too. say what how about i make her special pasta that she always made. or at least attempt to." he joked. "yeah sure whatever" you fanned your tears and went out the door. safiya was standing outside your building waiting to walk with you. "hey bebe how you doing?" she rubbed your back. " i'm fine" you faked a smile. she knew you were lying but she didn't say anything and you two just walked to school.
your classes went by quickly, probably because you spent 90% of them staring out the window. currently you were in physics class doing the exact same thing, it's been a month since your schedule switched and you and miles grew a little closer, as close as he'd let you. you'd exchanged numbers and followed each other on social media. and he would join you and safiya on the walk home, silently walking at your side while you chat with your best friend.
miles looked through the side of his eye and noticed you hadn't even picked up your pencil since class started and were just staring into space, dejected expression on your face. he nudged your shoulder and whispered "what's up with you today, chiquita?"
"mm? oh, nothing." you mumbled looking back down on your desk. "you ain't even write your name, ms bennett's gonna get on your ass" he snickered. you just snorted a bit before going back to stare out the window. it was a rainy day out, how ironic.
he could tell something was off with you so he decided to help you out. "here, i'm done" he moved his paper to your desk. "just copy it" he told you.
you smiled at him before writing down everything he had on his paper, on yours. "you look different today" referring to your bare face "in a good way" he added when he saw your eyebrows furrow. "um thanks" you finished your paper just in time for the bell to ring.
you were in the bathroom washing your hands when the melanie came in. "oh..hi y/n, we miss you in math" she said with a condescending smile on her face. you rolled your eyes and dried your hands before getting ready to leave. "oh by the way since your fine daddy's single, do you think you could give him my number." you face twisted in disgust and you turned around and shoved her up against the wall. "fucking say shit bout my parents again and i'll fucking kill you." you snapped, pushing her head back against the wall.
"bitch is that a fucking threat?!" she pushed you off her. "yes bitch! i'll fucking gut-" "girls, where are we supposed to be??" a hall monitor interrupted coming into the bathroom. you grumbled an insult before pushing pass her and heading to the roof.
miles looked over from his conversation and saw you storming off from the bathroom, melanie following shorty after with the monitor trailing behind her. "yo i'll see you later aight" he dapped his friend up and followed behind you.
his eyebrows furrowed when he saw you sneak through the rooftop door. he followed through the door and snuck up the stairs. he saw you hunched over on the ground and he could hear your sniffles from here. he didn't mean to slam the door but he did and it startled you. you darted your head over your shoulders, quickly wiping your tears when you saw him. "what are you doing here?" you put your head back on your knees. "saw you when you stormed outta the bathroom, you looked upset. then i saw you come up here and i wanted to make sure you ain't kill yourself" he joked, making you giggle.
"why you up here anyway? and why you crying?" he asked, sitting down next to you. "i told mr brown i'd water the garden." your voice was breaking. "doesn't explain why you're crying ma" he looked at you. you didn't say anything for a moment, taking a deep breath before you opened your mouth. "today was the day my mom died, like a year ago today" you told explained. "i promised myself i wasn't gonna cry today but that fucking cunt melanie loves to piss me off"
"that why you said you fought her?" he asked. "mhm" you mumbled. "well she's a fucking bitch. don't take that shit from her." he told you, you nodding your head. "but...i get it. my dad's dead and when he died, niggas thought something was funny? so that's why i had beat lincoln's ass" he said. "god the people here suck so bad. m'sorry about your dad." you told him. "it's aight, i'm sorry about your mom" you smiled and nodded your head, holding back the tears that dared to slip down your face. "it's alright to cry ma. don't hold back i'm not gonna judge you"
you blinked and your tears came flowing down your face, you leaned your head on his shoulder and he didn't move it he just let you cry. "i just wanna go see her grave, but it's all the way in westchester" you wiped your tears. he stayed silent for a moment "then let's go see it. i have my license and i know where my dad's old car is" he told you, rising to his feet. "what? we can't do that. we have school and you can't just take your dad's car." you rose to yours too.
"what, is he gonna stop me?" he said making you giggle. "that's crazy. you don't have to do this really it's fine" "it's alright, if it'll make you feel better i don't mind. come on let's go through the door in the green hallway" he said going through the roof door, you following behind. you opened your phone to tell safiya you were skipping with miles.
'miles is taking me to my mom's grave??😭
we're ditching come with us' you sent the text.
'girl WHAT 💀' she sent.
'that emoji feels familiar 🤔' you sent back.
'stop. anyways i cant come, bout to start a test. just be safe baby. i love you' she sent back.
miles scoped out the hallway making sure no teachers or monitors were around. he pushed through the door and you two made a break for it down the street. "wait, i wanna get something" you pointed to the grocery store down the street.
you both went in and you picked up a bouquet of pink roses, her favorite flowers, from the front. you went to another aisle and picked up a pack of ferrero rocher chocolates "these were her favorite. one time my dad stood her up with work on valentine's day so she and i watched her favorite movie and ate a whole big pack of these. we were so sick afterwards. after i threw up she gave me medicine and sang me to sleep" you lightly laughed, biting your lips to hold back your tears. "she sounds great" he said giving you a comforting smile. "she really was"
you checked out and miles took you to an old garage, tugging open the door, a black buick sat on the other side. "does this even still work?" you asked opening the door. "should. if not i'll just make it" he turned the key in the ignition, engine sputtering in response. he groaned, opening the electrical system. he pulled out two wires, hitting them together until a spark emerged and the engine started. he looked at you with a cocky smile "there, all we need is some gas" "how do you know how to do that?" you asked putting on your seatbelt. "don't worry bout it" he drove off.
after stopping at a gas station and filling up the tank, you two drove the hour and a half drive to westchester graveyard. he let you control the music and would occasionally glance over at you while you just stared out the window. he watched you put your legs up in criss cross apple sauce and doze off, smiling at the way your mouth fell open and he could hear your soft snoring.
he pulled into a nearby parking lot and tapped your thigh "we're here" he told you. you stretched and rubbed your eyes, looking around to make sure it was the right place. "you were snoring mad hard" he teased you. "i was not!" you gasped. "yes you were" "nuh uh, i do not snore" you retorted. "yes you do, could barely hear the music" he lied. you rolled your eyes fondly and opened the car door, grabbing the chocolates and the flowers.
he followed your lead to her headstone and you let yourself plop down next to it, resting the flowers down gently. "hey mom" you leaned your head back. "miss you, god even after a year it still doesn't feel real" your voice was breaking and miles figured he'd back off a little, sitting back on a bench nearby.
"i'm a junior now, me and safiya are still as close as ever but i've been making new friends. dad and i have been weird but if feels like it's getting back to normal now?? his cooking still sucks ass tho" you giggled "oh i got a job now, i'm a barista at mel's. i've been letting my hair grow longer and i redecorated my room. i started reading those poetry books that you had always wanted me to and brandy's been in my playlists on repeat, maybe it's silly to do this because i like to think that you know all this already cause you're watching over me."
"i miss you so much mommy. god i wish you would just come back, how is this not some stupid joke" you wiped your tears, but they wouldn't stop streaming down your face. you turned around and kneeled, knees sinking into the soil beneath you, hands resting on top. you couldn't control it anymore you let out a broken cry and shoved your face in your hands.
you felt miles tap your shoulder and pulled you to your feet. you looked at him, face scrunched up with bloodshot teary eyes. he moved a hand up to your cheek wiping away the tears that rolled down your face. "ugh this is embarrassing" you grumbled, shoving your face in his chest, and he put his arms around your shoulders. "it really isn't. i get it y/n, trust me it'll be okay. i'm not saying it's gon stop hurting but it'll hurt a little less with time." he told you.
he reached in his book bag and took out a small pack of tissues. he handed them to you so you could wipe your tears off. "put your leg up" he told you putting his hand on the underneath of your knee. you put your hands on his shoulders to support yourself and he used the tissues to clean your knees. you let out a small laugh "thanks. really thank you so much for this, you genuinely did not have to do this at all." "it's alright ma"
you checked your phone seeing a missed call and  texts rom your dad. 'where you at? school call me tell me you not there??' 'answer me before i call the police' they read. you giggled a little before telling him you were in westchester, which he did not take lightly and told you you were in trouble but right now you didn't care.
you went to the bench miles was sitting on and grabbed the chocolates. "you wanna eat some with me?" you asked him, holding out one to his hand. "you not gonna eat till you throw up right. i don't fuck with vomit." he put out his hand. "no!" you laughed which made him smile.
the two of you sat there on the bench for about another half an hour talking about whatever. your parents, your lives outside of school and knowing each other, etc. while eating the chocolates. you stopped yourself before you got too into them. "ah we should probably start driving back" you told him. "you sure?" he looked at you. "yeah, dad said i'm in trouble when i get home anyways" you got up and closed the container.
"well. since you're already out can i take you somewhere?" he asked. you twisted your mouth in thought "but my dad-" "well if you're already in trouble when you get back why not stay out a little longer" you let him convince you and got in the car for the drive back to brooklyn.
when you got to brooklyn he drove straight past your buildings and to a nearby unused subway station. you went down and he walked you all the way to the end of the platform going onto the side of the tracks. "alright are you trying to fucking kill me" you hesitated in following him. he chuckled "relax ma, no trains run here anymore it's an old track" he put his hand out to you and you took it and you both walked down the tracks. "alright we gotta hop the fence" he told you.
"are you crazy" you furrowed your eyebrows at him. "it's not even that high up, i'll go first" he climbed the fence and jumped down, swiftly landing on his feet. you followed behind and lost your balance when you were on top causing you to fall over but not before he caught you and put you down. "will you chill out" he laughed at your annoyed expression.
you kept walking for about a minute until you saw a wall full of graffiti. "my uncle takes me down here sometimes and we just paint" he told you, tossing a can at you. "you wanna do a mural for her?" he asked you. you smiled and nod your head "what does she look like?" he asked you. you pulled out your phone and opened the photo album you had dedicated to her, picked a photo and gave him the phone.
"wow she's beautiful. you guys look like twins" he said holding up the phone to a blank part of the wall. "she should fit right in there." "you think i know how to spray paint?" you said shaking the can. "i can help you."
and so he did, he found a color to match her skin tone and her facial features. he did most of the artwork, putting you on his shoulders to do the hair and the top of the rose. you stepped back and admired the finished product. it was your mom with a big smile on her face with her signature red lip, you added details such as your matching necklace, the beauty mark on her cheek, her smile lines and a hand that held a single pink rose.
you smiled and tears stung your eyes, mix of happy and sad but mostly happy. you looked at the time and saw it was almost 9 o'clock. "ohh my dad is gonna kill me" you groaned. "do you think you could take me home now?" you asked him. "yeah it's mad late" he picked up his bookbag and you guys walked back out of the track.
he drove the car back to the garage and you grabbed your book bag before you guys  got out, walking to your block getting to the front of your building. "thank you for today, like seriously. i don't know anybody who would've drove me out for two hours just to sit at a grave." you giggled. "you were sad and i didn't like that, wanted to make you feel better." he nudged your shoulder. "you did make me feel better, thank you" you threw your arm around him, pulling him into a tight hug wrapping around his waist.
you threw your arms up to his face, pinching his cheeks "who knew you were such a big softy morales" you said in a playful baby voice. he rolled his eyes before looking into yours, face softening. your hands were still on his face and his were still around your torso.
your eyes flickered down to his lips before going back to his eyes, you leaned in and pressed your lips to his. you quickly pulled back "oh sorry! don't know what came over me" you frantically apologized. "don't apologize" he whispered before pulling you back in. you threw your arms around his neck, hand rubbing against his fade. his hands were on your waist pulling you closer to him.
you were interrupted by your dad poking through the window five stories up. "y/n! you had me going crazy wondering what the hell you were doing and you out here kissing boys?!" he shouted, baffled expression on his face. "girl get inside" he told you through gritted teeth. "goodnight miles" you giggled pulling away from him. "g'night" he said back to you. "and boy who your parents is? cause i will be giving them a call! got my damn daughter out at night kissing all up on her" he pointed at miles, grumbling the last part. "dad relax!" you shouted up at him. "get inside!" "what does it look like i'm doing?!" you shouted back, opening the building door.

HEART
Warnings: Swearing, Frankie, bad writing and a taser?
A/N: Currently writing the next chapter for The Party & The After Party, also this could be read as GN! , there's a few mentions that you're a female tho
Words: 2.7k
Tara Carpenter x Female! Reader
Tumblr media
Being Chad Meek's best friend had a lot of benefits. Including, knowing when a party was happening. This is exactly how you found yourself at this house party, dressed up as Spider-Man.
You knew Chad from your football team, he was your quarterback and you were the first female wide receiver to ever play in Blackmore University or the NCAA division in general.
Due to that everyone knew who you were, but you didn't care about the fame or the popularity, you just wanted to enjoy college and get to play football alongside your best friend.
There had been times when people would try to befriend or even date you for your name instead of your actual personality, and it made it hard for you to truly make friends or fall for someone.
Your trust issues began when your ex-girlfriend cheated on you with Frankie. She was the first person (other than Chad) to introduce herself to you and show you around campus.
The two of you started dating about three months after your friendship, and something always felt a little off. It felt as if you were on the same page but on different levels. You wanted to stay out and watch stupid thriller movies and cuddle on the couch while she wanted to go out to parties and show you off anytime she could.
You and Kayla did have a couple of things in common, you got along well, but if anything it was intuitively that you were more like friends or whatever. Sure, you guys were intimate but it still didn't feel right, you were never in love.
And you surely knew she didn't love you.
Especially, after seeing her under Frankie in your own dorm room.
Yeah, that was very disrespectful.
She then proceeded to tell you that she never liked you and only used you for Instagram followers and more friends. Yes, it hurt. But it was better to have her out of your life than to be living with a lie.
After your breakup with Kayla, you thought you'd be sad, but in reality, it just opened up your eyes a bit more. You felt more at ease.
"What's wrong with my sweatpants?" You ask, your voice slightly muffled through the Spider-Man masking over your face.
"I'm telling you I've never seen Spider-Man wear sweatpants," Chad tells you, taking a sip of his drink. You playfully roll your eyes looking over to Ethan for his help, noticing he speaks up.
"Actually, he does in the Miles Morales Spider-Man and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man did behind the scenes."
"But none of that is live action," Chad argues his case causing you to let out a sigh.
"Regardless of how uncanon my Spider-sweats are." Chad furrows his eyebrows shaking his head as you continue, "I still have the best costume here."
"I think Ethan's outfit is pretty cute," Chad says, motioning to Ethan who smiles in response. You jokingly pinch the curly-haired boys' cheeks, "Yeah, but Ethan's just cute in general."
Ethan slaps away your hand while Chad shrugs nodding in agreement. "I'm going to go bother the lovebirds!" You quickly announce, patting Chad's shoulder before leaving.
You make your way through drunk college students and sweaty bodies before noticing Mindy and Anika cuddled up on the couch, walking over you softly push them apart, sitting right between them.
Mindy sends you a playfully fake smile leaning in close to whisper, "I'm going to fucking beat your ass after this party." She fake laughs afterwards noticing that Anika is watching. You fake laugh as well, but side-eye Mindy in slight fear which she can't see due to the Spider-Man covering your face.
Anika is about to say something but her eyes wander off, worry filling her face. Both you and Mindy follow her view, and you notice a female pirate walking alongside Frankie.
You clench your jaw as Anika voices her worries, "Ohhh, I don't love that." Mindy hums in agreement, Anika quickly gets up, softly grabbing the pirate's arm. She turns around with a smile listening to her friend. "Hey, wanna call it a night?"
The smile is still prominent on her face she looks around before answering, "No, uh. I actually think that I'm still going to hang, but you guys don't have to wait for me."
Frankie speaks up with a smirk on his face, "Don't worry. I'll take care of her, I'm Frankie."
Anika shakes her head, "And I'm spectacularly uninterested in knowing anything about you." Frankie scoffs in response while the female Captain Hook laughs, leaning in as she lowers her voice. "No, dude. Anika, I'm not that bad."
She takes a few steps back, slightly walking away. "But I appreciate you looking out for me." Frankie sends Anika a cocky smile before following the dark-haired girl.
You decide now is the time to step in, "I'm going to go help her." Mindy nods her head, sitting up on the couch as you walk over to Anika.
"I'll follow her. You get Chad." You instruct, Anika mumbles, "Okay." And you both walk off in different directions.
"Aren't you that girl involved in that 'Stab' shit in California last year?" You hear Frankie as, she lets out a chuckle, "No. That's a different pirate."
Standing at the end of the steps you speak up, "Frankie! Hey, why don't we keep the party down here? I'd hate to miss out."
Frankie and the pirate turn around at your voice, and you feel Chad beside you. "I think we're good Y/L/N." He replies, recognizing your voice through the mask.
"Well, Tara's good down here." Chad joins in, and immediately Frankie responds. "I'm sorry. I didn't catch that."
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, you did." Chad remarks, trying his best to stay calm. Tara walks down a couple of steps, standing in front of you and Chad. "No, Chad it's fine. I want to."
Frankie walks down too, getting close to Chad's face. "Yeah, see Chad? It's fine she wants to." He turns back around but not before roughly grabbing Tara by her arm, she lets out an, "Ow." and you swiftly grab Frankie by his shirt, pulling him down the stairs.
"Don't fucking grab her like that." You push him away into the wall and a crowd suddenly appears, you don't notice Chad checking on Tara as you're focused on the Frat boy in front of you.
He pushes you back, "Get the fuck off me!" Tara removes herself from Chad's grip walking behind you and gripping your Spider-suit as much as she can, using all of her drunken strength to pull you away from Frankie. "Guys! Guys stop."
Chad angrily steps in, grabbing Frankie by his shirt, and pushing him onto the ground. And as you're being pulled away by Tara, Mindy walks in waving a hand basically telling you to go help Chad.
You glance at Chad then Tara who's shocked at the sight going on in front of you, then at Mindy. You knew Chad could handle himself for a couple of seconds until you got the drunk pirate out of the situation before she hurt herself trying to split up another fight.
"Excuse me!" You shout at the crowd, nearly everyone steps out of your way as you slightly and as softly as you can pull Tara away. Your heart drops when someone suddenly appears in front of you, "Hi! Sorry to interrupt, I'm just going to tase you really quick." Before you could plead your case, you feel a sharp pain in your stomach causing you to drop to your knees.
"Fuck!" You yell out, slapping your hand against the wooden floor. It felt like every muscle in your stomach had a Charlie horse, and you couldn't help but stay curled up on the ground even while Mindy rushed to your side, alongside Tara asking you if you were okay.
Chad was also there too, with a bloody nose. He takes off your mask, showing everyone your squinted eyes, furrowed eyebrows, and your parted lips.
Sam stands there, confused and guilty. Did she tase the wrong person?
"Sam! You tased the wrong person!" Mindy shouts at her. Oh. She did tase the wrong person.
You roll over onto your back, your hands on top of your stomach and you sit up. The group is silent, waiting for your reaction. "Fuck... that really hurt." You mumble, letting out a small laugh after.
Chad smiles, confused but begins laughing with you and everyone soon joins in, helping you up from the ground. As Chad and Mindy both have your arm making sure you were okay Sam walks up, and her face is filled with guilt.
"Holy shit! It's that psycho girl!" Someone yells out from the crowd. Sam sends a slight glare before turning her head back toward you.
"Shit. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to—" You cut her off with a wave, "It's okay." You then tell the twins you're okay, and they reluctantly let you go.
You look around looking for Frankie who definitely deserved the thirty seconds of pain you went through. Noticing he's gone you now focus on Chad, who whips his nose with a smirk on his face.
"I won the fight." He informs you with a jolly smile on his face.
-
Tara storms in front of the group, in embarrassment and anger at her sister.
"Tara! Will you stop!" Tara doesn't stop but only slightly turns her head to speak to her sister. "I cannot believe you did that, you embarrassed me!" Tara faces the front again, continuing her struts.
"I was trying to help you!" Tara turns around, upset if it wasn't obvious before. "And look what happened!" She raises her voice, motioning to you. Your face heats up in embarrassment, as you scratch your nose.
"You're out of my life for five years then you can't even leave me alone for five seconds!" She shouts, throwing her arms up.
"Because you're not dealing with what happened to us. Have you ever gone to see the counsellor at least once?" You look around the group, seeing Mindy let out a sigh watching the scene unfold in front of her.
"No, and I'm not going to." Sam shakes her head, "Why not!"
"Because I'm uninterested in living in the past like you are." Sam furrows her eyebrows, "What's that supposed to mean?"
Chad then takes in a deep breath, tired of the back and forth between the two siblings. "Hey, guys, come on—" He's unheard or ignored as Tara continues. "It means I'm not gonna let what happen to us for three days define the rest of my life!"
"So you're just going to pretend it never happened?" Tara closes her eyes, trying to calm down, and when she reopens them her tone is softer than before.
"What are you doing here Sam? In New York." Sam scoffs, as Tara continues. "I mean y-you're working two shitty jobs to help with.. rent, whatever, but what's your plan?" She stumbles a bit on her words, and you think it's due to the alcohol in her system.
Sam slightly shakes her head, not knowing what to say as Tara proceeds with her point. "I know what I'm going to do. Okay? Because I'm going to keep going to college, I'm going to get my degree, and I'm gonna live my life."
You twist your lips and shift your weight from one foot to another.
"My life," Tara says, slapping her hand against her chest. "That I know." Sam eyes her sister with a slight furrow in her eyebrows. "You just follow me here and you won't let me out of your sight."
"Just trying to look out for you." Tara speaks up, "I—" but cuts herself off, letting out a sigh as she runs her hands down her face. "I know. I know you are."
"You can't do it for the rest of my life though, you have to let me go." There are footsteps heard coming up, Tara turns her head and before anyone could react or say something, Sam is getting a drink splashed onto her.
The girl yells out, "Murderer!" as her one of friends records. Sam gives the girl a shove causing her to slightly stumble back, quickly Chad and you hold Sam back not wanting her to do anything rash. "Fuck is wrong with you, bitch!"
The girl points at Sam, "You guys should stay away from her. She knows what she did!" Sam pushes Chad away, and Tara joins in with you trying to hold back her surprisingly strong sister. "I didn't fucking do anything!"
"Sure, bitch." The girl says, walking away backwards with her friends.
As the group walks away you stand back waiting for Sam as she rings out her shirt, Ethan takes notice of this, walking back and offering her tissues. She eyes the boy before taking the tissues out of his hand. Ethan walks off once Sam looks at him.
You walk to Sam, offering her your Spider-Man mask, "Uh, it's not a tissue but I'm sure it'll help?" She shakes her head waving it off.
"Also, um. I'm Y/N, and for what it's worth I think you're a good sister for trying." She stares at you a bit before nodding, and you begin walking away following the group.
Before you know it you're standing in the middle of the Carpenter-Bailey's living room, awkwardly. Chad is settling down, taking off his jacket and hat and putting on a t-shirt.
Sam, Tara, and Quinn were all in their selected rooms as the rest of you were in the living room.
"Chad?" He hums in response turning around to face you, "I think I'm going to leave."
"Oh, okay. Need me to walk you home?" He genuinely asks, you shake your head. "Nah, it's fine. Tell Tara and Sam it was nice to meet them."
You wave goodbye to Mindy and Anika who are sitting on the couch in front of you before exiting the apartment.
Moments pass and Tara's back in the living room, looking around. "What are you looking for?" Mindy laughs confused, Tara looked like a lost puppy as she searched around the small apartment.
"Where'd she go?" The two girls and Chad furrow their eyebrows. "Who?" Anika asks.
"Uh, Chad's friend." She utters, embarrassed. Mindy immediately noticed how pink Tara's cheeks were and the paper in her hand. Mindy shoots up from the couch, "What's that?"
Tara's eyes move to Mindy's view, she quickly pockets the folded note. "Nothing! I just felt bad that Sam tased the fuck out of them when they wanted to help me."
Mindy turns her head at Anika and Chad, raising her eyebrows and they instantly get the message. Tara thinks you're cute, and that note would confirm it. "Oh!" Chad says, standing up from his chair. "I could always give it to her."
Tara's eyes leave Mindy and go to Chad, "Really?" She says hopefully, "You wouldn't read it right?"
Quickly he shakes his head, "No. No. No! Of, course not!" He holds out his hand so Tara can give him the note, and she does. Anika watches this from the couch, but her jaw drops when she sees Mindy's hand snatch the note and runs to her with it.
"Mindy!" Tara shouts, trying to run after her but Chad grabs her, and all Tara can do is watch Mindy open her note in, reading it out loud.
"hi! this is tara, the pirate from the party. sorry that we had to meet on such terms, please let me make it up to you, from tara. HEART!" Mindy reads, shouting the last bit.
Chad lets Tara go with a shocked face, and Tara covers her own face in embarrassment.
Everyone's head turns to the door, noticing you standing there. "Hi..." You awkwardly, mumble out. "I forgot my mask." You tell them, pointing at it beside Anika on the couch.
Mindy looks at the mask, then at you. "How long have you been here?"
"Um.." You scratch your eyebrow. "Long enough to accept Tara's proposal." You laugh, with a cheeky smile.
Tara smiles widely, her face nearly as red as a tomato.

But imagine that she refuses to drive home with him.
Like she is insisiting on walking home ,because of what he pulled in the bathroom. And he is just driving slowly, next to her walking , telling her to drop the act and get into the f*cking car.
listen. listen. i absolutely ADORE this idea, especially because her little attitude would be like "fuck off," and i thought of it BUT i already wrote the fourth part (and ur gonna enjoy what happens there), so what i'm about to do isn't canon nor an official part (in the series) but i wanted to write this out.
this is purely self-indulgence and a little treat 🥰
!! ❗️NON-OFFICIAL PART TO THE PLAY FAKE SERIES ❗️ !!
You stayed in the bathroom longer than intended.
After cleaning yourself up to the best of your abilities—which was rough, considering your makeup was ruined and your dress is practically wrinkled around your hips—you step out of the small space. You bid a decent farewell to the waitstaff before heading out of the exit, spotting Rafe leaning against his car, hands in his pockets.
"What took you so long?" He says when he sees you; the boyfriend act has since dropped since whatever happened in the bathroom. You can tell he's a bit calmer now; his rage channelled into fucking you. Yet, you still feel the ache between your legs—and a little bit of his cum.
You don't want to talk to him.
You say nothing in response, making a mental to-do list of all the things you need to do when you get home. It's the only thing keeping you sane right now. Your brain is fuzzy, trying to maul through the details of what happened just moments ago, and you are sure if you are touched wrong right now, you're going to explode and ruin whatever relationship credentials you spent the evening forming.
But, for a bitter, vengeful impulse, you considered saying fuck it all and chew him out right then and there. To let the entire Island Club know what type of selfish and entitled prick Rafe Cameron is, but you remember what's at stakes. Your goals. You weighed them, in cost-benefit, and discovered that it wasn't worth it.
You moved beyond the passenger seat, heading straight for the road.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm walking." You declare, keeping your voice as neutral as possible. You don't know where you are right now, or how you're going to make it back home, but you know this is a direct road to Tannyhill—and from then on, you'll figure out the rest.
Rafe calls out your name but you ignore it, making decent progress down the trek. Your feet are hurting you. It doesn't help that you're wearing heels, walking across uneven sidewalks. Not to mention, you're still a little sore from how Rafe was being back there.
Fucking asshole, you swear in your head, clenching your hands by your side as you hear a car engine roaring from behind. It doesn't take long before the familiar vehicle pulls up by your side, slowing down enough to match your pace.
He rolls down the driver window, watching you stubbornly make your way down the street.
"Get in the car."
"No." Your voice has an edge but is overall monotonic. You won't let him know how pissed off you truly are; how you're fuming underneath, trying to navigate the mixed emotions buried inside. You don't even bother to look at him. "I'm walking home."
"You're going to walk to the other side of the island?" He taunts, in that condescending voice, as if he thought you were dumb. You weren't stupid. "Yeah, fucking right."
"Unlike you, Rafe, I'm pretty fucking able." You snap, glancing over to watch as his face sneers at the insult. You don't care. You let that first string of restraint snap, and you're unwinding slowly but surely. You try to fall back to your neutral tone. "I'm walking home. If I need help, I'll be sure to call someone else. Maybe JJ or Pope."
You knew the blond didn't like either of them; he made his opinions clear in the car ride to Tannyhill earlier. You only said it to rile him up, which, apparently, works as his expression hardens and he parks the car and unlocks the door.
"Get in the car." He commands, his voice commanding the same authority as he did in the bathroom. However, this time, it feels more forged—like a front to keep up. You look away, deciding to speed up. "Jesus Christ."
Your feet are hurting badly now. While deciding to do a short sprint in three-inch heels, you bend down and unclasp them, ready to go bare-feet for the rest of your journey if need be.
You feel his hand grab your arm.
"Drop the fucking act, sweetheart. You're not going to walk all the way back to The Cut. You won't even make it before dawn."
You pull enough strength within you to rip your arm out of his grasp, just like you should've done in the bathroom, and face him.
"You think you have so much power, don't you? That because you're some Kook prince you can tell people what to do? Well, fuck you, Rafe," you announce, each word punctuated with more sharpness than the last. "If I want to walk till dawn, I'll do it. As long as I won't have to get into your stupid car."
Rafe looks at you, not understanding why you are so adamant on walking back. Was it something during the dinner? Was it the bathroom? Is this you trying to gain back whatever control you lost?
He scoffs. "Your little tantrum isn't going to work, Pogue."
It's the name. The nickname of Pogue that rolls off his tongue that just triggers you.
You're pissed.
Having nothing else, you chuck your heels at his chest. It doesn't do much damage, because of your close proximity, but it was enough for him to see your fury. To see that your refusal isn't just a spur of the moment thing, to gain back control, but was an accumulation of everything—enough to comfort you for the rest of the walk.
Rafe's irritation flares. You knew how to push all of his buttons and now, it's pissing him the fuck off. He thought he calmed down a bit, after the bathroom, but you're just trying to rile him up. For some fucking reason. He doesn't doubt that you're going to walk the rest of the path back to The Cut, even if it kills you. You were that stubborn. It took him a whole two hours to convince you to shut down Sailor for half an evening. Imagine you now, at the height of your anger, with nothing but spite for him.
He should just let you. Show you how your stubbornness can lead to stupid decisions. Dire consequences. But you're still in your stupid, fucking short dress. It practically exposed your ass when you bent over to take off your shoes. There's no way in hell he's letting you walk home, in the dark, in that.
So, he did the next best thing.
He comes forward, and with one hand on your waist, he throws you over his shoulders. You barely register it as he man-handles you, grabbing your heels off the ground and marching straight to the passenger side.
"Fucking brat," he mumbles under his breath as he rips opens the door.
"Let go of me!"
He drops you into the leather seat, quickly grabbing the seatbelt and securing you in. You went for the buckle, ready to click the release, only for him to grab your wrists into one hand.
Your heated eyes meet his angry gaze. "Drop the fucking attitude and let me drive you home." He warns in a low voice. "You're not dying under my watch. Not when you still have your half of the bargain to keep up."
You glare at him, saying nothing as he finishes securing you in. When he feels sure that you aren't going to unlock and run off, repeating this cat-and-mouse game, he slams the door closed and walks over to the driver side.
You say nothing for the duration of the ride. You refuse to. Rafe doesn't try to talk to you either, assuming you'll shake off whatever tantrum you're throwing by the next morning. He just needed to get your ass back home to make it there.
When he stops in front of your house, or as close to it as you would allow him, you silently get out of the car and head for the door. You don't bother saying thank you because to you, the waitstaff at the country club deserves more gratitude more than whatever Rafe fucking Cameron thinks he is.
He doesn't care. He pulls out the street the moment your ass leaves his car. You'll be fine, he thought, you always are.

| Enemies to lovers⋆.ೃ࿔*:・|| N.RK (니키)
Tumblr media
Pairing✧.* non idol!niki x reader
Contains✧.* swearing, drinking (for this fic reader and niki are 19)
Context: enemies to lovers ✧.*
Niki got under your skin in a way no one else could. it was like everything he did annoyed you.
Sometimes you just wish If he could shut to be a mute boy rather than been a boy bitch-
That's what you call him.
whenever you went out, there he was, literary a glue on your side-
every time he greeted you, there was some sarcastic remark, or an insult mixed with it. you couldn't stand him.
Tonight was no different than other nights.
you met your friends at the club, instantly greeting them when you walked inside.
you shot niki a glance, not bothering to say hello to him.
The sea of teenagers with imbalanced hormones was everywhere.
You could go like this all night long, feet moving to the crazy beat as they belong to the music.
You moved in your dress like your hips were made to sway, the sequins catching the disco ball light that twirls above - launching
every shade of the rainbow.
the night carried on, you and your friends had a blast, taking shots and dancing most of the night.
that was until you finally needed a break, your feet were killing you.
you stumbled over to the bar, taking a seat on one of the stools, ordering a drink when someone slid into the stool next to you.
you turned your head slightly to see who it was and there was the boy- bitch, also ordering a drink.
you decided to ignore and not engage in conversation with him, not really craving a headache at that moment.
"surprised you came here today."
Niki started up a conversation, something you wanted to prevent.
"fuck off niki." you shot back which only made him chuckle.
"didn't know you hated me that much, y/n.
"Gald you know that now"
"ouch, that one hurt. you could've denied it, save me the heartache?"
"aww, poor baby. i prefer honesty, sorry if you don't."
Niki stayed silent after your comment, his eyes scanning over you. it made you shift, wanting to get up and leave.
you were about to speak up about the way he was obviously looking at you until you heard someone call your name.
You turned your head towards the source of the sound- just to find your friends for a few months, flirting was something you did regularly.
you weren't sure if he liked you or if he was just extremely friendly.
"jungwon! what a nice surprise." you greeted, immediately giving him a smile.
Niki raised a brow at your immediate enthusiasm when you saw jungwon.
he would've rolled his eyes if he was sure no one would've saw him.
"it's nice to see you! you look great."
Niki wasn't sure if he cringed, gagged, or both at Jungwon’s attempt at flirting with you.
it, however, looked like you were enjoying it by the way your smile widened.
"i could say the same fo-" you didn't even get to finish your sentence when a blonde came up and wrapped her arms around jungwon.
"there you are, baby! I was looking for you." she said. baby?
"y/n, right, this is my girlfriend." jungwon introduced you. you had to stop your mouth from dropping at the word girlfriend.
he has a girlfriend.
"oh. oh! it's, uh, great to meet you. you two look adorable together." you complimented,
trying your best not to seem upset.
"don't we?" the blonde said, giving you what seemed to be a fake smile.
"and…and there's someone i want you to meet!" you made up, making jungwon’s head tilt.
"yeah, who?" he asked.
you turned around, eyes meeting Niki's. "this is my boyfriend, Niki!"
Niki stared at you, almost not catching on at first. "Oh! yeah, that's me."
he looked up towards jungwon and his girlfriend, sending them a smile. they shook hands and the blonde just seemed to be relieved.
after introductions, Jungwon was pulled away by his girlfriend which you weren't complaining about.
you felt like an idiot and now, you felt like an even bigger one for bringing him into your lie.
letting out a breath you didn't even know you were holding in, you chugged down the rest of your drink, cringing at the bitter taste.
when you looked back at niki, a smirk painted his lips-
"so, boyfriend huh?"
you signed while passing hand through your hair, you appeared stressed to Niki, which made himself say the next words-
"hey, you did a great job." he said while walking up to you, before he realized what he had just said- was he comforting you?
"in my defense, that was not supposed to come out."
"Eh, it's fine, pretty boy."
"pretty boy?" he raised a brow at the nickname.
"well. it's only fair that i make you flustered after you did it to me."
"go out with me."
you looked up at him in shock, almost not believing that he really said that to you.
"excuse me?" you blurted, almost giggling at how straight forward that was.
"go out with me"
"to think i thought you were such shy, adorable man-child”
"man-child?" Niki ultimately ignored the shy & adorable part because to some degree, you were correct.
"you heard me."
"you know what I heard first though? shy and adorable so i'm gonna guess that's a yes on that date."
"you sure you deserve it?" tilting your head, you crossed your arms with a slightly challenging tone.
"positive, pretty lady"
Ty for reading,I hope you enjoyed <3

This Way — Nicky Nichols
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: You and Nicky kissed a few months ago, yet Nicky still would not admit what happened.
Word Count: 556
Warnings: sad one, longing for a relationship, swearing, kissing, physical affection
Tumblr media
You and Nicky were tigther than a knot. You immeditaley fell under her trap when you were sent to Litchfield. A few months ago, after a solid year together, you and Nicky exchanged a kiss in the chapel.
Ever since that day, Nicky didn't want to talk about it. For the first few weeks after, she even ignored you. She was scared of your reaction, and yet you somehow convinced her to talk to you if only you avoid that subject matter.
It was now yours and Nicky's day off from electrical. And Nicky Nichols was bored. So she invited you to her bunk.
Straddling the Nichols, you applied eyeliner to her, holding Nicky's chin in her hand, making sure that Nicky's movements didn't ruin you trying to emulate her style.
"Why are you letting me do this?" You asked.
Looking at Nicky's smirk on her face, you decided to tease her. Leaning down to her ear, you whispered, "Is it because I help fix the sink today? Did my unpaid heroism turn you on?"
"Sure." Nicky sarcastically said as she teasingly bit her lip. "It's not that I just can't be bothered today."
Faking gasping, you placed a hand onto your heart. "You're using me!"
"Have you met me?" Nicky asked with laugh.
Joining in with the laugh, you sarcastically joked, "Oh no. Sorry random woman who I am literally sitting on top of, what's your name?"
"My name's Nichols Nicky, you?" Nicky played along, holding out her hand to shake which you took, introducing herself, "Y/n Y/l/n."
"Well then, Y/n Y/ln, what's your opinion on the Red situation?" Nicky asked, her tone shifting. Red had stopped sitting or talking regularly to the family, and yes it was concerning, but you didn't want to talk about it.
"My opinion is that you should just shut up and let me finish this eye." You said as tried to finish the eyeliner on the left side of Nicky's face.
"No seriously, okay? Someone needs to help her." Nicky stressed. "It's like Red doesn't want to talk about it."
Hearing this, you sighed and decided to ask a question that had taken over your thoughts for months. "When are we gonna talk about it?"
"About what?" Nicky questioned, raising her eyebrows. "Red leaving the kitchen? We are."
"Nick, don't be stupid." You said, her tone changing from the previous teasing.
Laughing, Nicky shook her head, making you grab her chin so she wouldn't move her head too much. "No, I'm serious. I don't know what you're talking about."
"The kiss." You responded.
Rolling her eyes, Nicky sighed, "Y/n, that was 3 months ago."
"I know, but we never properly talked about it, just ignored it." You justified the question.
"Well it didn't mean anything, it was my fault. I was lonely." Nicky shrugged. It was partly the truth but Nicky didn't want to outright say that she did because she's hopelessly in love with her best friend who didn't think even loved her back. And so she resorted to, "Plus I like us this way."
"Me too." You admitted, half-heartedly. It was better off you staying friends than never talking to each other again. And so you placed a hand on the side of her face, you smiled. "Now then, let me do your makeup, you lazy asshole."

warnings: some level of chae-young attempting infidelity, swearing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
wonwoo came home to find yn passed out on the couch.
"you okay?" - wonwoo
"i need sleep. i've been stuck at school finishing my final project and i just finished. now i have to worry about the stupid reunion in two days. i have no dress and i look like a zombie. life is great." - yn
"go take a shower. i'll get the guys to help you. jeonghan has connections." - wonwoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the word shock wasn't enough to describe the look on everyone's faces when yn and wonwoo walked in through the door.
some background information: in the one week before this gathering, yn had completed her pieces for the museum, her final project for university and all her outstanding commissions. her exhibit had been very successful and she had earned quite a significant amount of money.
"yn. is that your boyfriend?" - aunt
"yes. this is jeon wonwoo, my boyfriend." - yn
"nice to meet you, my name is jeon wonwoo." - wonwoo
"yn-noona... isn't that the streamer gameboi? you're dating Korea's number 1 [game name] player?" - younger cousin
"no way..."
the whispers in the event room got louder and louder until the people she hated finally came towards her. it was evident that chae-young was gawking at wonwoo. she didn't even bother to hide her lovestruck expression from her husband.
"so this is the new guy you have, huh yn." - mother
"good morning, i'm jeon wonwoo." - wonwoo
it seemed like he had to repeat himself often today.
"what's your net worth?" a disrespectful question right off the bat was expected and both yn and wonwoo had prepared for it.
without missing a beat, wonwoo simply smiled and said, "14 million. I am sure that I have enough to take care of yn for the rest of our lives."
the jealousy that clouded chae-young's face was the best thing that yn had ever seen.
sitting at the table was very awkward because they were surrounded by whispers and glances.
“so wonwoo. what do you work as?” chae-young’s husband was actually a very nice man. he was always kind to yn and her brother and was the complete opposite of his distasteful wife.
“i’m a gamer. i’m currently in talks of joining [fictional korea no.1 pro gamer team]. that deal closes before june,” - wonwoo
“ah i see. what about you, yn? what are you working as now?” this question was on everyone’s mind. some with ulterior motives.
“up until thursday, i was a museum part-timer and finishing university. but i recently managed to sell many of my art pieces and have made quite a name for myself in the past three days. in case you all didn’t know, almost every artwork in this building was made by me over the last 4 years.” - yn
the room was silent. you could hear a pin drop and wonwoo couldn’t help but smile to himself.
let’s walk through the real train of events.
after the “fake-dating” agreement, wonwoo, minghao, mingyu and dokyeom had helped yn move every piece of her artworks over the years to minghao’s studio to sort through them. it took them almost 30 hours to categorise. by monday, they had organised the auction within the museum, an exhibition for her other works and an online bidding website for exclusive works. from tuesday to thursday, the auctions and exhibitions opened.
every one of yn’s artworks sold for incredibly high prices. this particular hotel that the family reunion was, had purchased a significant amount of said artworks.
“you mean you painted that painting of a phoenix?” - uncle
“i did that 2 years ago.” - yn
“and that ceramic heart? that was you?” - aunt
“yes.” - yn
wonwoo could not help but smile at yn’s nonchalent bragging. just then, a hand reached across to tap his.
“so~ wonwoo-oppa~ how did you and yn meet?" chae-young began to blatantly flirt with wonwoo while her HUSBAND sat helplessly beside her.
“i commissioned an art piece from her and fell in love at first sight.” wonwoo forcefully took back his hand before leaning closer to yn, earning a scowl from chae-young.
yn was’t exaggerating when she described all of chae-young’s antics.
here’s a list of the things she tried but failed to do. seduce wonwoo, yn’s “boyfriend”, spill water on yn, pretend that yn stepped on her foot on purpose, claim yn slapped her.
how embarrassing.

" hey emma... " mikey peaked through the kitchen while she's cleaning the dishes they used this afternoon. draken sitting near emma looking at him.
" where can i get, you know that uhm, what's that sanrio character named again? ponyurin? the yellow one? you know that cat looking one? " mikey rambles on flailing his hands describing the character
draken looked at him in confusion while emma who finished her work dries her hand and sits down a seat apart by draken.
" what? " emma says and giggles at the actions her brother is using " do you mean pompompurin? that dog guy with a pudding? " she lets out a giggle again making draken look at her through his peripheral vision secretly admiring her
" yeah yeah! that one! so do you know where i can get some of those? i want to give one to " mikey pauses, smirking and faking a cough in the process " my girlfriend " he says in such a proud tone smirking like an idiot.
" WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GOT TOGETHER WITH MY BESTFRIEND?! " emma stood, palms hitting the table. She couldn't believe that her brother who is usually not one to bother and take interest on teenage love have a girlfriend
" you idiot, you two aren't even dating, Y/n just said hi and waved at you " draken laughs at how his friend is behaving, being delusional in such a simple act you did
" WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! I just know y/n likes me too because she EVEN approached me and asked about my day WHILE BLUSHING "
mikey said with pride while scoffing " i even got to ask her about that ponyurin keychain that dangles on her phone " he scoffed again with his hands on his chin and smiling all widely
" wow what a progress mikey, i mean that sounded like that conversation went well "
emma—who is now sitting beside draken replied with her words laced with sarcasm
" i know right, so this upcoming valentines im going to give her a BIIIIG one of that ponyurin! " mikey smiles dearly at his sister remembering her birthday that draken gave her a stuffed toy and she looked so happy " and i swear that i will ask her to be my girlfriend when i give her that gift " he is practically up in the dreamworld while awake daydreaming about your reaction to his surprise on a special day
" okay! you seem very serious and genuine about your feelings to my bestfriend so i will help you. wait a minute i'll go get changed " emma smiled back and then went away.
Today is valentines day and emma asked me to go to their house so that we can hang out . " i wonder if i can bump into mikey " you thought while skipping on the way to their house
" hi y/n! how are you? " mikey said with enthusiasm to hide his nervousness.
" oh im all fine mikey, how about you, how are you? " telepathically thanking emma for this opportunity while hoping your voice don't give away the nervousness you're feeling.
" oh emma is out with draken at the moment and they'll be home soon. come on lets go to my room while you wait for her " mikey grabbed your hand leading you to his room.
'i hope my hands dont get sweaty now because im so nervous' mikey thought while smiling to himself because he get to hold your hand 'thank you emma, i will treat you to a cafe tomorrow!'
" so what were you going to do with emma anyways? " he asks purposely pausing and facing you so he can see your reaction when he opens the door
" oh i dont even know, maybe watch a movie or just stay inside her room and gossip and do each others makeu— OH WOW SO CUTE!! HI PURIN HI BABY YOU'RE SO CUTE " you sprinted when you saw a big pompompurin sitting on his couch and immediately started squishing his cheeks and fondling with his ears
" i didn't think you even KNOW purin let alone own a big one! " you looked at mikey, mouth agape, rosy hues tinted your cheeks
" no i don't know the guy, i bought that for you y/n " he told you with a grin his signature smile plastered on his face " happy valentines y/n! " he gave you a heart boxed chocolates and a small bouquet of gardenias
still shocked by the gifts your mouth and eyes wide open " w-what are you talking about mikey? do you mean that y— " mikey cut you off, closing the distance between you two and handing you the chocolates and flowers again
" i've always loved the way you care about emma, when you notice your ponyurin keychain and start playing with it, when you talk to her about your day and even recreating the moments in front of her, i also love that no matter how hard your life is, you always find a way to make other people happy. I like you y/n and i want you to be mine. " his eyes staring right at yours make you want to break the staring contest you two have been in for quite some time. Not wanting to break the eye contact you meakly said " isn't it already obvious that i like you too manjiro? " you quickly went and grabbed the big yellow furball so you can hide your face. Your deep red blushing hell of a mess face.

"What the fuck do I do 'Bara?"
(Y/N) couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at the white box. Red and gold confetti was strewn across her work desk but her eyes focused on a gold bordered invitation with the names:
‘Tina Singhania weds Harpreet Singh’
The box was an over the top gesture her cousin did to embarrass her but that was not her main concern. Her main concern was the fact that the invitation was addressed to her and her boyfriend. She didn't even have a boyfriend, not even a casual partner.
(Y/N) rubbed her forehead from the impending headache. Haibara smiled nervously as he patted his friend on the shoulder, looking at the open box. She only had about two weeks to find someone before she would then have to fly out to India for the wedding.
"I mean, you just have to find someone to be your boyfriend. Not an actual one, just pretend."
(Y/N) grimaced as she slumped down right in her chair. To make matters worse came the most annoying human being in the world.
"(Y/N)! What's that on your desk?"
The man with the blue circle rimmed glasses and shaggy silverish hair: Satoru Gojo. He came around and sat on the corner of his co-worker's desk, looking into the box and gasping at the red cupcake inside. He reached in and plucked it out, opening his mouth to take a bite when it was snatched away.
"Suguru, what the hell?"
Suguru rolled his eyes and returned the cupcake back on (Y/N)'s desk.
"Satoru, you don't take things that aren't yours." Suguru turned to his co-worker with a smirk. "You ask: Pretty Woman, can I have the cupcake?"
(Y/N)'s scrunched up with disgust as she brought a hand up to turn Suguru's face away.
"Don't show me your creepy ass face. And don't call me Pretty Woman!"
Right behind Satoru was his best friend, Suguru Geto, the inseparable duo that often liked to fan flames and cause mischief. Suguru had a scary face most of the time but he was calmer and nicer than Satoru. The two of them came over to see this mysterious package that had arrived on (Y/N)'s table.
"So your sister is getting married?"
Third person to arrive was the brown haired and half-tired Shoko Ierie. She had pried out the invitation from (Y/N)'s hand and read all the information. The box was drawing too much unwanted attention as (Y/N) lifted the box and shoved it under her desk.
Everyone seemed to have gathered around her desk as Satoru leaned over and picked the invitation out of Shoko's hands.
"You had a sister? And didn't even think to tell us."
"Only you Satoru."
Satoru stuck his tongue out at Shoko, his hand reaching out to grab the cupcake but Suguru snatched it and held it close to his chest. (Y/N) reached over and snatched the cupcake to give it to Haibara, folding her arms.
"I don't divulge my personal life to you, Satoru."
"And to think I considered you my best friend."
(Y/N) refrained from scoffing before retaining her composure. She may as well tell them the whole story seeing as they will continually bother her.
"She's a cousin and off limits Satoru."
Satoru scrunched up his face and folded his arms like a petulant child that was just refused their favourite candy. (Y/N) pinched at her forehead, her forehead creasing.
"Only there's one problem."
Suguru raised a curious eyebrow as (Y/N) sat at the edge of her desk.
"What is it?"
"I have to take a boyfriend with me."
Suguru and Satoru shared a confused look with one another. They didn't know their work friend had a boyfriend as Satoru exhaled. There went their chance.
"Ah shame. I'm sure you and this boyfriend you-didn't-tell-us-about are gonna have a great time at your cousin's wedding."
(Y/N)'s face scrunched up as she shoved Satoru's shoulder.
"I don't have a boyfriend, you idiot!"
Satoru whistled with relief and sent a secret thumbs up to Suguru who rolled his eyes. Shoko was confused as she asked.
"Well can't you go without a boyfriend?"
"My cousin will kill and embarrass me. She's done it in the past so I'd rather avoid that."
Haibara patted your shoulder with comfort, having known and met your cousin once before. As Shoko scratched her head, understanding how dire the circumstances were, Satoru had a big grin on his face as he brushed his fingers in his white locks.
"You know if you need someone to pretend-"
Suguru smiled smugly whilst cutting in.
"No offence Satoru, you are the last person she should pick as a fake boyfriend."
"What are you talking about? I'd make a great boyfriend."
Shoko piqued in as she snatched Satoru's goggles off his face and put them on her face.
"Hi! I'm Satoru Gojo and I'm a wannabe model! Bet you never met a person with silky grey hair and bright ocean-like blue eyes!"
Suguru snickered while Satoru's face grew red. He took his glasses and returned them to his face whereas (Y/N) patted his shoulder to apologise.
"I'm sorry 'Toru but she would see right through you."
"She's right. That's why I'm the better choice, Satoru. Isn't that right, Pretty Woman?"
Suguru grinned smugly as he took (Y/N)'s hand and kissed the back of it. As if to persuade her that he was the better man to take on the role. (Y/N) awkwardly bared her teeth as she pulled her hand away to wipe off his kiss.
"I'm sorry Sugu but you're not even a better choice. You would scare half my family with those gauges and tattoos."
This made a sad pout appear on Suguru's face as he exhaled.
"That's hurtful. But wouldn't that also be a big fuck you to your cousin? I'd treat you so well."
"It would and you might but let's also not forget last year's party where your quote-unquote girlfriends dropped by to accuse you of being a slut."
This time Satoru and Shoko snickered whereas Suguru raised an unimpressed eyebrow. Haibara had a constipated expression on his face as he listened to this conversation.
"Your point?"
"I don't want to have to run into another set of girls who claim you were the best night of their lives."
"I'm not that big of a slut."
At that moment they all deadpanned at Suguru's words and Satoru flailed his hands to gesture.
"Says the one who was the most popular one in high school."
Suguru glared at Satoru before huffing with reluctant agreement. Then his eyes furrowed and snapped to Haibara, almost accusatory. Even Shoko raised an eyebrow at Haibara.
"Don't tell me that Haibara is your choice!"
(Y/N) rolled her eyes before resting her hands on her hips. Haibara nervously shook his head.
"I've already met her family so they're not gonna believe I'm her boyfriend."
Which leads everyone to think and ask themselves, who? At that moment a weary face and blonde hair walked up to the group, his eyes narrowed and arms crossed tight across his blue buttoned chest. He cleared his throat which made everyone stand up attentively.
"What's going on here and why is it a mess?"
Satoru, Suguru and Shoko quickly scuttled away from (Y/N) leaving her to face their grumpy team leader, Kento Nanami. Only a few months older than her and was brought onto the company as the team leader. She didn't even want to talk to Nanami as she sent a glare to her other co-workers that abandoned her.
"Nothing, Mr. Nanami. Just received a package."
Nanami exhaled as he watched his co-worker clear the rubbish on her table and toss the box underneath her desk. Haibara returned to his cubicle as Nanami took a safe step close to (Y/N), hoping that she would just take a look at him.
"(Y/N)?"
"What Mr. Nanami?"
The glare she gave him was a mixture of hot and cold, both scalding Nanami's heart. He had a pained expression on his face as she glared. Ever since he started working in the company for over a year now, she had been nothing but hostile. He tried to give a soft smile before he quietly spoke.
"What time are you meant to finish today?"
"What's it to you?"
If it were anyone else, Nanami would have taken managerial action and ensured that the person received a disciplinary warning, for their behaviour. His heart was always weak against (Y/N) as he let her talk harshly to him. He didn't know how to say his next words because she was going to flip. He let out a short puff of breath before going ahead with his words.
"Daadi invited me for dinner. Said she had something important to discuss."
At that moment, (Y/N) stopped typing before slowly craning her head to thoroughly examine Nanami's face for a joke. It wasn't and she almost shivered in grief. Why? Her Daadi (Grandma) loved Nanami for many reasons and it irked her whenever Daadi would mention the man. But today seemed to have crossed the limit as she frowned.
Right now she needed to get rid of Nanami so she creased her face into an awkward smile. For now she'll have to engage in a short conversation that will drive him away.
"Ah. Well you can go ahead and have dinner with her. I got a lot of work to finish off -"
"I didn't set any deadlines. You can push that off for tomorrow. She insists that I get you to come on time for dinner."
"As if…"
Her words died in her throat as Nanami pulled out his phone to show the messages that Daadi had sent. It was true. Daadi had invited Nanami and she had stressed the fact that (Y/N) needed to come home on time. She couldn't believe that Daadi had gotten Nanami's phone number and he had hers saved.
At that moment, a loud ring sounded from the cubicle next to them as Haibara answered the phone. Nanami and (Y/N)'s ears perked up as they leaned around the cubicle. The first words that caught their attention was 'Hello Daadi!' They silently watched Haibara have a conversation before hanging up the phone and nervously smiling at the two people in front of him.
"Erm … you heard that huh? Looks like I'm joining you guys for dinner as well."
(Y/N) scoffed as she folded her arms muttering.
"Funny how she didn't call-"
As if the comedic timing wasn't enough, her own phone rang to which her face scrunched up in agony before answering her phone, in Hindi.
"Hi Daadi. How are you?"
"I'm doing good. You're coming home today for dinner?"
She glared at Nanami as she feigned her whining.
"I'm really sorry Daadi but-"
"If you finish that sentence, I will come to your office and drag you by the ear. Are you asking to get smacked?"
"Daadi!"
"I don't want any excuses. You have to come home for dinner. And bring Kento and Haibara with you."
Before (Y/N) could get a word in, Daadi had cut the call. All (Y/N) could do was angrily pout before massaging her forehead and muttering.
"Did she tell you what time we have to get there?"
"By six thirty."
~~~~
After a gruelling two hours, it was time for everyone to go home. (Y/N) was rushing to pack her things which surprised Haibara as he watched her scrambling to get paperwork together.
"Why are you in a rush? I thought you didn't want to go to dinner?"
"I still don't. But I also don't want to get a lift with Nanami."
Haibara's smile was askew as he watched her leaned down to pick up her parcel, before she shoved it in his hands for him to hold. She sat down on her chair to take off her nude heels and switch them for some black trainers.
(Y/N) rushed up and grabbed Haibara's wrist to yank him away from their cubicles and to the lift. It was just about to close but before her hand could cut in to prevent the doors from closing, Nanami's hand cut in. He had reached the doors the same time as them which was unfortunate for (Y/N) as she gritted her teeth before gesturing for Nanami to get in.
The blond man didn't budge and stood firm where he was which irked (Y/N) even more. Decidedly, she stomps into the lift, followed by Haibara and Nanami. There was silence in the lift, the two men didn't say a word out of fear that they might make their co-worker explode.
The lift finally arrived on the ground floor, the lift doors were slowly opening but (Y/N) didn't hesitate in pushing through the doors. Haibara gave Nanami a torn sheepish smile before following after her. She was about to swipe her card to open the gate when a loud thunderstorm echoed before a sudden heavy shower began to downpour.
She screeched rather angrily, unable to believe her rotten luck as she huffed at Haibara.
"We are gonna have to run to the bus stop."
"Or you can just take a lift with me."
Nanami stood there with an unimpressed expression on his face and arms folded. His dark waterproof long coat made him look much more bulky and taller. (Y/N) was about to open her mouth to refuse when Haibara beamed with a happy smile.
"Yep I'm good with that. Let's go!"
Holding her parcel in one hand, Haibara grabbed onto (Y/N)'s wrist, almost dragging her to the car. What should have been a quick five minute walk felt like a ten minute stretch as (Y/N) grumbled utter aggressive nonsense to herself all the way until they got into the car.
~~~~
The table was finally set as Daadi laid out plates for four people. The dishes were still hot in a hotpot, and she finally got to take a look at the clock. They were ten minutes late which made Daadi frown and take her phone out to see if there were any messages. There were none which made Daadi worry, her fingers ready to dial them.
A pair of keys jingled in the lock which made Daadi sigh with relief, rushing to the door to see a slightly soaked (Y/N) carrying a box and a completely dry Haibara and Nanami. She was confused, unsure of whether to greet or comment but (Y/N) simply greeted first.
"Hey Daadi. Sorry we're late."
"Why are you wet?"
"I forgot to take an umbrella and I didn't want to share with Nanami. Also Haibara and your precious Nanami are the reason we're late."
Nanami stepped forward with a warm smile, presenting her with a bouquet of violet dahlias. Daadi's heart swelled with love as she took the flowers to smell, a deep rich scent enveloped her nose as she gave Nanami a hug and a pull on his cheek.
"You didn't have to bring anything, you silly boy."
Nanami grinned as he held Daadi's hand close to his heart, squeezing it to show his adoration.
"I wanted to, Daadi. It's always a delight to come see you and I knew you'd want a new bouquet for your kitchen windowsill."
"Ah you know me very well Kento."
(Y/N) rolled her eyes as she toed off her shoes, dropping her parcel on a small side table. Nanami had taken off his jacket and hung it on the stair pole. Going into the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase for Daadi. Haibara grinned widely as he presented Daadi with a box of her favourite pastries.
"Haibara! You also didn't have to-"
"Nonsense Daadi! This is nothing compared to the amount of times you've given me birthday money and gifts. They're your favourite: almond croissants."
Daadi also pulled Haibara's cheek before Haibara took the pastry box to put in the fridge. (Y/N) wasn't surprised that Daadi walked after them to get their dinner served, specifically Nanami. She hated the fact that Daadi and Nanami had grown closer.
When Nanami first started working in the company, (Y/N) tried her hardest to make sure that Daadi would never find out but the old woman was smart to know something was up. She popped into the office one day and bumped into Nanami. They reconnected instantly and (Y/N) was left watching this friendship bloom.
Taking off her wet clothes, rinsing them and putting them in the washing machine. She started the cycle and went to her room to put on a dark grey long sleeve and light grey tracksuit bottoms. She took a small towel and dried her jet black hair before tossing the towel in a hamper in the bathroom.
She came downstairs to see Nanami, Daadi and Haibara sitting in seats, their plates empty in front of them, waiting for her to sit and eat with them. Daadi smiled before standing up to serve all of them. She lifted the lids to show the three dishes made: potato spinach curry and butter chicken. Nanami and Haibara's respective favourites as their mouths salivate.
Once their plates were made, everyone began to eat, Nanami and Haibara had a naan next to them, breaking off a piece and scooping some of the curry onto the bread. Nanami and Haibara had eaten Daadi's food many times and they knew the proper way to eat.
Opting for a light option, (Y/N) served herself some rice and poured a serving spoon of butter chicken. She grabbed a tablespoon and mixed it together, taking the first bite. There was nothing that Daadi wasn't good at as (Y/N) hummed happily at her meal. Relaxing and glad to be home, until Nanami opened his mouth.
"Daadi, it is incredible as always."
"I took extra special care in the potato and spinach curry, since it's your favourite."
Haibara hummed as well as he licked the sauce with his fingers.
"And this butter chicken is creamier and nuttier than last time?"
"Yes, I'm glad you noticed Haibara."
(Y/N) cleared her throat before taking a large sip of water. Taking advantage of the silence she decided to talk about the first important thing which was her cousin, Tina's wedding.
"So Daadi, I received an interesting package today. A wedding invitation."
"I know. I received the same this morning."
"Did you know that Tina was getting married?"
Daadi hummed mindlessly, continuously eating her food.
"Not really, no. But when I called Payal this morning, she said that the boy's in a rush to get married as he has to return to America. That's why the wedding invite is so sudden."
(Y/N) rolled her eyes as she continued to eat. However her Daadi's next words made her drop her spoon on her plate, her anger bubbling and slowly rising up.
"They want us to come as soon as possible to help out with the wedding prep. Said that she could use your help to negotiate with vendors."
Haibara and Nanami shared an apprehensive expression, feeling a little awkward that they were hearing this conversation. Daadi trusted them whereas (Y/N) was panicking at the sudden change in plans. Mainly how she was going to find a boyfriend this sudden.
"Daadi I'm not going to be able to get my holidays approved so soon."
Daadi rolled her eyes as she gestured to the blonde haired man sitting on her right.
"It's partly the reason why I called Kento." She turned to Nanami with a pleading smile. "Please Kento. I'm sorry but I hope you understand that she needs these days off."
Kento gave a polite nod as he grabbed a napkin to clean his mouth and hands, taking a sip of water and answering.
"Don't worry Daadi, I understand. I'll have someone cover her work for however much time she needs off."
It was no surprise to (Y/N) that Nanami said yes. Whatever Daadi says, he does. Though he might have done the same with (Y/N), he lets her get away with murder. Daadi had a big grin on her face, glad that she was able to sort that out before she snapped her fingers as if remembering something else.
"Ah, also for Haibara and yourself."
(Y/N) felt like she lost all feeling in her body. Did she just say for Haibara and Nanami? What the fuck was going on? An almost fire-like rage burned in her eyes as her words forcefully pushed through her teeth.
"What do you mean Daadi?"
Daadi remained cool, having been used to her granddaughter's tantrums as she turned to Haibara.
"Well, I'm sorry it seems last minute but you are invited to the wedding. You are family and we simply cannot have a wedding without you."
Haibara smiled and bowed graciously before his smile dropped.
"Are you sure that's okay Daadi?"
"Yes, don't worry! Payal won't mind."
(Y/N) flared in anger as she spoke a bit louder, more pissed off at the fact that Daadi was ignoring her.
"Daadi! What do you mean?"
Even Nanami was confused as to why he needed to get holidays as he opened his mouth, also asking the same questions but softly and calmly. Daadi exhaled, knowing her next words will set off (Y/N).
"Before I cut the call, Tina came on and said that she couldn’t wait to meet you and your boyfriend too."
Nanami's eye twitched and furrowed suspiciously as he sat up straighter, which took (Y/N) by surprise because he was often aloof, wearing his heart on a sleeve whenever (Y/N) was around. Haibara was munching on his food, savouring the taste and not putting much input because he would be the next target for (Y/N)'s wrath.
"Now, I know you don't have a boyfriend-"
"You don't know that-"
Daadi scoffed and raised an eyebrow which made (Y/N) be quiet. There was no getting past the old woman.
"I know Tina has put you in a bind but the solution is right opposite you (Y/N)."
Just now she felt an icy chill crawl up her spine and freeze her every single movement. Her brain simply shut down as her eyes narrowed in on the brown eyes and ugly leopard print tie. Haibara finished off his plate and hid behind his naan, not wanting to be caught in the crosshairs.
Daadi's face remained stoically cool, almost alert because the minute her granddaughter was going to act up, she was going to shut the attitude down. But Nanami was shocked the most, by far this was the most eccentric thing that Daadi has ever done.
"Why Nanami?"
"Because you have history. He knows you well and I trust him to look after you."
One minute. Two minutes. Five minutes passed as (Y/N) exhaled, mulling over what Daadi had said. It's true, they had history, but that was almost thirteen years ago, when they both were 14. They only dated for a few months before … that happened. She shuddered at the memory before coming back to the present, unable to comprehend what Daadi had just proposed.
She abruptly stood up and took her plate to the kitchen, having lost the appetite and feeling numb. It was like her life was out of her hands as she scraped off the uneaten rice and curry into the bin.
She felt a hand on her shoulder as she tried so hard to pinch her eyes, preventing her tear ducts from welling up and then came Daadi's soft voice.
"(Y/N), I suggested him because I know he will be there for you in ways I might not be able to."
"If you say you're gonna die, Daadi-"
Her grandmother rolled her eyes and slapped (Y/N)'s shoulder, scolding.
"I'm not dying you silly girl. I just know Kento will help you keep a level head."
Her fists clenched tight as she took shaky breaths before going over to the sink to splash cool water on her face. If they didn't have that awkward past, Nanami was the perfect choice. But the way she treated him, she wouldn't be surprised if he refused.
Her eyes widened in shock and her face twitched at the thought of already accepting Nanami as a choice. As much as she wanted to say she was at a crossroads, the truth was, deep down she felt obliged to follow Daadi's request. If she didn't, she would have had this nagging feeling of regret.
Finally shaking off her depressed disposition, she straightened her back and spun around to face her Daadi.
"Fine. I'll take Nanami. But will he even agree?"
~~~~
"I hope we're not too late."
(Y/N) pushed the bridge of her sunglasses down her nose as Nanami and Haibara reached the two of them. Nanami had a more dressed down look with a navy polo shirt and grey slacks. Haibara had gone with jeans and a print t-shirt which had a dragon on the front.
Daadi waved her hand as if to brush off their excuse before she greeted the two men. They were in the airport arrivals lounge, just getting ready to board the plane. The weather in Japan was slightly warm so they could relax without jackets and coats.
Nanami took a minute to admire (Y/N), the woman was staring down her phone, texting something whilst holding onto her hand carry. Looking pretty in a tweed print quarter length trousers and white t-shirt. He was glad that her sunglasses were on her nose because he could see her eyes that he got lost in for the first time they met.
It was nearly thirteen to fourteen years ago when they first met. She was a new student joining their class, the last year of junior high. Her eyes darted around like an alert panicked deer, nervous to see how everyone else would perceive her.
Her big brown eyes which reminded him of the crackling camp fires, felt like a warm heater heating his face on a cold day. It was just Nanami's luck that the seat next to him was empty as she waddled down the line and sat down next to him.
Since she had just started, he shuffled his desk closer to share his history textbook with her. He looked down to hide his eyes behind his fringe, softly muttering.
"'M Kento Nanami."
"(Y/N) Aggarwal."
The youthful hue in her cheeks made her radiant in the cold day, she felt like a warm cosy fireplace as the two of them shuffled closer to read the textbook. Their fingers brushed and that was the moment they fell for each other.
From then on they spent most of the break times together, getting to know one another and connecting on a basic level. They were 14, the most they could do was hang out. Sometimes they went bowling or to an arcade, even Haibara would join them as well.
(Y/N) had brought Nanami to the house to meet Daadi and her mother. Nanami was instantly welcomed as the two women fed and cared for him as if he were their own child. They surprisingly approved of the relationship, especially seeing how Nanami took care of her. Then again, they were modern thinking women.
What was a lit match, became a spark and now a gentle warming fire as Nanami held (Y/N)'s hand. The two of them were sitting next to a tree in the school courtyard, their faces naturally drew close. Whilst (Y/N)'s eyes fluttered close to feel his kiss, he kept his eyes slightly open, so that he could cherish the memory of sharing their first kiss together.
~~~~
This was only the start to what would be a long nightmare as (Y/N) took a sip of water. Her Bua (Aunt) Payal, held a small dinner party to introduce the boy that was going to marry Tina. Everyone was seated at the dinner table: her Bua Payal, cousins Karan, Tina, Jhanvi, Tina's fiancee Harpreet, Nanami, Haibara and Daadi.
A mixture of curries and chutneys were served on the table as everyone helped themselves. Harpreet was in the middle of conversing in English with Nanami and Haibara.
"So … have you ever been to America?"
Nanami politely shook his head.
"Can't say that I have, no."
"Well if you'd ever like a visit, come to New York City. I have good contacts to get you a job there. They pay six figures and provide accommodation as well. If you want, I can hook you up with someone. I'm sure you'd do way better than where you are now."
Nanami smiled as he took a bite of food.
"I appreciate the offer but will have to kindly decline. I have loved ones close by that I'd like to stay close with."
When saying 'loved ones' his eyes briefly darted over to (Y/N) which made her blink blankly. Daadi smirked behind her glass while Payal and Tina smiled as Tina spoke.
"But seriously like … how did this happen? I thought you would turn up here without a boyfriend. Don't tell me you hired him!"
(Y/N) pursed her lips as her head grew hot in anger. Daadi frowned and put her glass down to scold her other granddaughter.
"Tina. Is this how you talk to your cousin?"
"Daadi, I'm only joking. Right (Y/N)?"
(Y/N) widened her smile but it had no mirth or joy, only bitterness.
"Yes of course. And to answer your question, no I did not hire him. We met at work."
Tina scoffed, almost carelessly waving her glass around. Everyone else was eating and listening to the conversation carefully.
"Met at work? That's such a basic answer."
(Y/N) opened her mouth to rebut but Nanami stepped in, his gaze focused on (Y/N). Like he somehow knew he needed to bring her back.
"Sometimes the most basic things can mean so much. When I first walked into work, I noticed her working in her cubicle. My heart had stopped. Like I had found the person I'd been searching my whole life for.
"But I needed to do whatever I could to be with her the moment I saw her eyes."
(Y/N) felt herself get drawn into Nanami's eyes, a similar shade to her own. She felt like she had travelled back in time as Nanami's face morphed into his younger self. She hadn't realised it but Nanami had grown up in so many years. His face had matured a lot but his eyes were still the same.
His usual cool stoic demeanour had shattered before her and she was seeing the Nanami she knew when she was young. Or had he always been like this but she only noticed now. The side of his hand brushed against hers slightly but she took the leap to interlace her fingers with his.
She heard someone clear their throat which made her snap out of her daydream, snatching her hand away as she straightened her posture. Tina's eyes narrowed as she was unable to believe the chemistry between her cousin and her 'boyfriend'.
Haibara and Daadi shared a knowing, almost scheming look. Payal grinned as she clapped her hands.
"Oh that is romantic. Then maybe we'll have another marriage to plan soon."
(Y/N) almost choked on her food at her aunt's words but Nanami quietly took a sip of his drink, grinning at the joke.
~~~~
The wedding prep was done and now she could finally relax. If she had the energy, she would have throttled her cousin and ran her over with a car. Twice. Everything was down to (Y/N), from organising decorations to outfits and colours, haggling with fat Indian men and negotiating to her wits end.
Even her poor Daadi was put to work as she helped with the venue and catering organisation. (Y/N) would be up at six am in the morning, coming home at two am. With only four, sometimes three and half hours of sleep.
The only highlight of the day was that she'd come home to a steaming cup of spiced tea that would rejuvenate her, making her feel warm and alive. Daadi got home earlier than she did, so she was endeared by the fact that her Grandmother took time to make her tea.
Being busy didn't give her a chance to connect with Nanami. Apparently Tina boasted about the fact that she got to show Nanami around Mumbai, which made her blood boil at the audacity of her cousin. After five days of gruelling work, she was able to come home early, and she completed everything just in time for the Mehndi ceremony tomorrow.
She was desperate for a nice shower and that hot cup of spiced tea. It was about 11pm and surprisingly the house was quiet. Everyone had probably slept early because of the Mehndi. There was some rustling in the kitchen as she crept in, stunned to see the familiar blond shaggy hair.
"Nanami?"
He turned around, a little surprised as he stirred a cup of tea, placing it on a saucer and pushing it in front of (Y/N).
"Hey. Finished early?"
Her eyes dropped down to the cup of tea in front of her, wisps of steam floated in the air and in the direction of her nostrils. It had the strong notes of cinnamon and ginger. She gave a nod and a hum, for once being too tired to even be bitter and angry.
"I did. Everything is set for the next two days."
A smile came on his lips as he came around to lead (Y/N) to the dining table, before placing the saucer in front of her. He took a seat opposite her, speaking softly.
"You did well."
Her lips twitched at the soft praise he was giving her before her eyes zoomed into the cup in front of her. Feeling parched, she brought her palms around the cup, blowing at the top before taking a sip. It was the same tea she had been having for five days, her eyes lifted up to Nanami.
"Did … you make this?" He gave a nod which prompted her to ask another question. "Have you been making tea for me the last few days?"
Once again he gave a nod, almost nervous to see how she would react. But to his surprise, her face cracked to show a smile, her eyes fluttered to connect with him for the first time, softly murmuring. "Thank you."
She was beyond touched by his gesture as she finished her cup of tea. Her hands pushed forward to give him the cup and his fingers brushed with hers when grabbing the cup. For once, she let her anger dissipate as her index finger stroked his.
Maybe she was too tired but she felt soft at this moment, warmed by Nanami. He waited patiently to let her take her time, to come forward and he was rewarded with her holding his hand. Whilst last time was emotionless, just a show in front of the family. This one was intimate and sacred.
Somehow he could feel her genuineness which made this moment all the more special. The years of walls she had built with Nanami in mind, began to crumble slowly. The slightly older man exhaled softly as he decided to go a baby step further to ask.
"If we get a chance, maybe after the wedding, we could go sightseeing around the city."
She flinched slightly as she recalled her cousin's words, incredulous she couldn't help but ask.
"Didn't Tina show you around?"
"No. She was stubborn and tried to force me to go but I stood my ground. I made myself a promise, years ago, that if I were to go to India. I would only go with you. I will always wait for you."
In that moment the walls collapsed as his words echoed, not missing the double meaning in his last sentence she gave a nod promising to take him around the city.
~~~~
"Kento, can you check on (Y/N) and see if she's okay? We need to leave now."
Nanami gave a nod to Daadi before trudging up the stairs to the bedroom that (Y/N) was getting ready in. Daadi fixed the sleeves of her blouse, straightening the pleats of her sari. Haibara raised an eyebrow, his hand up to point in the direction that Nanami went in.
"I just checked on her when I went to the bathroom. She said that she was just putting her outfit on."
Daadi gave a steady grin and Haibara noticed this. His eyes went up the stairs before going back to Daadi, his brain worked a bit before he finally put two and two together. He shook his head in a small laugh, giving an impressed grin but curious what the move is.
"I think I see where you're going with this but what will Nanami help with?"
Daadi shrugs. "Maybe an anklet, an earring or her blouse."
Haibara let out a scandalised gasp which made the older woman throw her head back in laughter before tugging his cheek. Meanwhile Nanami had just reached the bedroom door, knocking and asking.
"Are you ready?"
"Just a minute, just stuck with this blouse."
Nanami scratched his head nervously as he was about to turn to call for Daadi when he heard her yelp. Immediately his eyes widened as he knocked on the door harder. After a few minutes of silence, he heard the lock unclick, the door opened to reveal an embarrassed looking (Y/N).
Last night was a fluke. She had let her walls down in front of Nanami because she was exhausted. This time she put them back up so tightly that he couldn't even try to wiggle his way into her heart. She stepped aside to let Nanami in, taking in the fact that there was a bedspread on the floor and one on a slightly elevated bed.  The room he shared with Haibara was nothing like this as he pointed out to the spread on the floor.
"Who's sleeping there?"
"That's me. Daadi's got a bad back so she's sleeping on the charpai."
After tonight he was going to swap rooms with her so that both she and Daadi could get a better night's rest. For now, he began to examine her for a wound.
"I heard you squeal."
She narrowed her eyes as she corrected Nanami about the fact that she yelped. Her eyes then darted around the floor as she whispered.
"Look, I thought I saw a cockroach."
The man stilled for a minute, looking from the floor to (Y/N) then the floor again. Surprised that she was the kind to get scared by an insect as he almost deadpanned.
"A cockroach."
"Indian cockroaches are different. These are huge dickheads that can fly."
"Right. How long are you gonna take to get dressed?"
"I'm done, just stuck with trying to tie the blouse up tightly."
Nanami's eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he finally took in the fact that she was wearing a traditional Indian dress, a lehenga. The skirt was a lemony yellow with silver sequins and embroidery and it contrasted nicely with her sea blue full sleeve blouse.
She needed to dress more like this as Nanami tried to block out the indecent thoughts. (Y/N) went to her vanity mirror and turned around to see her back in the mirror. He almost lost his mind at the large expanse of her back. Sure enough the back of the blouse undone as he watched her struggle for a few good minutes before he huffed.
Strutting over and ordering her to turn around. She's about to refuse but her mouth zips tight when he pivots her body round, bringing his fingers up to lace up the blouse, pulling and tugging slightly before tying a tight little bow at the bottom.
"There. Now we can -"
"Can you get the cockroach before we go? I don't want to come back and it's still there."
Nanami shook his head as he brought an arm around her shoulder, silently urging her to get a move on as they were now running late for the mehndi ceremony.
"Don't bother. Haibara and I will swap rooms with you and Daadi."
"But-"
"Please. You shouldn't sleep on the floor anyways."
(Y/N) shut her mouth which was a silent indication that she agreed with Nanami's request. He dropped her arm and gave her space to walk forward. She subconsciously brought her hand to her shoulder, already missing the slight warmth that emanated from his hand.
Finally, they got into the car and drove to the venue, where the party was still having a few guests trickle in. It was a huge hall with cream curtains covering the walls, ambient blue and yellow flood lights were dotted across the room giving it a sort of cloudy glow.
The stage was set with ornate gold sofa chaises and embroidered deep lime green cushioning. There was a backdrop arch with vines lopping around it, and lily flowers drooping off. The tables and chairs had matching shades of green. It seemed like everything went well and she was glad that her aunt was happy to take on maintaining the beauty and event.
Nanami's eyes dazzled at the intricate beautiful decorations, leaning into (Y/N)'s ear.
"Your hard work has paid off. Everything looks stunning."
(Y/N)'s lips twitched with a threat of a smile before she cleared her throat, spotting Tina and Harpreet on stage, with her Bua Payal. She turned to Daadi, gently placing a hand on her arm.
"Daadi, should we go on stage?"
"Yes, let's go. Kento, Haibara come with."
The two women walked forward followed by Nanami and Haibara, they went up the three steps before Harpreet and Tina acknowledged Daadi and (Y/N). Tina looked lovely in her bright yellow garara, its stole was draped over her head. Harpreet had on a matching shade sherwani kurta and turban.
Nanami and Haibara shook Harpreet's hand to congratulate him while Daadi and (Y/N) embraced Tina. A photographer approached them and requested they get into position, the to-be-weds took centre stage with Nanami and (Y/N) to their right and Daadi and Haibara to the left.
Nanami's hand wavered, unsure of where to put his hand but a frustrated (Y/N) grabbed his hand and placed it on her hip. His fingers brushed against her bare side and waist of the lehenga. The picture was quick and Nanami was surprised when (Y/N) stomped away, once again confused about what he did to annoy her.
(Y/N) needed to stay away from Nanami as her heart panged with an unknown feeling. Whatever it was, it always happened with him and it was best if she was away from him. But it wasn't the best idea because it made her bump into different relatives, all of whom were shocked by the news that she was dating.
Maasi (Aunty) Khirron and Ganga were two gossips with tightly banaras red and blue saris. Looking more like wedding crashers than actual wedding guests. As if her day wasn't bad enough, she plastered a happy fake grin.
"Maasi! It's so nice to see you."
"It's nice to see you too! How long has it been, nearly thirteen years ago? At your mum's funeral right?"
(Y/N) flinched but bared it because she knew that these women didn't have any well wishes. They just spoke out of their ass most of the time so she gave a simple nod, which encouraged the women to natter away.
"Yes that's it. My dear (Y/N), your mother was a wonderful woman."
"Truly wonderful."
"She was taken too early."
"Too early! And it's such a shame she didn't get to see her daughter grow up."
It was coming, their snide backhanded comments.
"Yes! She didn't get to see her daughter grow up to be beautiful."
"And the biggest thing is that she didn't even get to see (Y/N) get married and have children."
There it was, she exhaled rather loudly, readying to take a step away before Maasi Ganga latched onto her arm like a constrictor snake. The two women were nattering away as they went further with their comments. Oblivious to the fact that (Y/N) was trying to get away quickly.
"But I wonder what she would say if she found out that her daughter was dating?"
"And that a white man?"
They were looking for a reaction, anything just to prod at the slow burning ire but she took a deep exhale and exhale. She knew how best to respond as she smirked whilst staring dead straight at Nanami.
"Well she would be proud of me because I found a man that takes good care of me. Especially in bed."
The aunties dramatically gasped, making their talkative traps open as (Y/N) found a way to move away from them. She rubbed circles at her temple as she stomped away only to bump into a younger boy with an afro and toothy grin.
It was her cousin's ridiculous neighbour's son, Mahesh took in her outfit and catcalled.
"I knew it was you (Y/N). You look beautiful."
"What do you want Mahesh? I got to go."
"Hey please. Can't I admire my future bride?"
(Y/N) scoffed as she dropped her hands to her waist. This boy was asking to be ripped a new one as she quirked an eyebrow.
"I don't date prepubescent boys."
"But I'm 18 now so technically a legal adult now."
Mahesh wiggled his eyebrows which did not impress (Y/N). She rolled her eyes and was about to strut away from him when he grabbed her wrist.
"Where are you going, gorgeous? Dance with me a little."
There was only one way to deal with this and this was being direct. She snapped to him, stepping close and leaning over him like a giant. (There was only a few inches difference in height but (Y/N) was taller).
"Get three things through your thick skull: one, you are not my type, two you are way too young and an idiot and three, I have a boyfriend. Do not approach me again or I'll break your hand."
Yanking her hand out of his grip and shoving him as a way to drill the message in. It didn't take long for her to weave through the crowd and finally approach the bar where most of the uncles had gathered. Big mistake, she rolled her eyes to order a coke when two older men approached her. One was Chacha (Uncle) Satish, her father and Bua Payal’s younger brother, the other was a rather young bearded man with a turban. Chacha Satish raised a glass of whiskey to her.
“(Y/N)! It is good to see you! How goes in China?”
Chacha Satish was an idiot with a lack of cultural awareness and terrible English. That seemed to be a running theme in her family as she bit her bottom lip before widening her smile.
“Chacha Satish! It’s good to see you too! And I don’t know how it’s going in China because I don’t live there.”
Chacha Satish tapped his forehead as if he was being silly.
“Ah yes, I forget. Where you live?”
“Japan.”
Chacha Satish and the turban man gave a nod as Chacha Satish gestured at the man next to him.
“This my good friend's son, Dheeraj Chaddha Singh. He own big business and has degree in engineering."
Chacha Satish leaned into her ear and it was difficult to repress a gag at the stench of his breath. It was onions and whiskey which was a vile combination. "He no married and he will be good husband."
It was like someone had crushed her mind with a heavy weight as Chacha Satish stepped back with a smug grin. His maroon sherwani buttons were struggling to hold on near his stomach which made her want to punch him in the gut. Just so she could embarrass him the way he just did now.
"Chacha. I have a boyfriend."
But Chacha barked a laugh as his head reared back. His drink sloshed and he stumbled slightly which made Dheeraj immediately hold on to his arm to balance him. It was a mistake being here and she might have been better off with Nanami.
"Who? That English man? Tina told me that's your boss and the other one is your friend from college."
"Chacha he is not English. He is mostly Japanese and a little bit Danish. And Tina is wrong."
Chacha frowned in confusion, raising a hand as if to ask what kind of combination this was. Though he then waved his hand to wave away her words as if she sidetracked the conversation.
"Anyways, Dheeraj is best guy. Big family. And What do you call a car dealership in English?”
“A car dealership?”
Chacha Satish blinked before giving a nod and blindly agreeing.
“Yes that. He want to open one in Japan. You two get married and you can open shop in Japan.”
“Chacha, I-”
“You give him money from your job. He open shop then you leave your job. Anyways, you will have to leave your job to raise your kids.”
(Y/N) had an incredulous expression on her face as she scoffed, tilting her head and folding her arms. What exactly did her uncle think she does for work? And how dare he offer up a stranger for her to marry? And further suggest that she leave her job and raise kids? She was gonna approach this tactfully.
“Chacha? What do you think I do for work?”
“You give money to people who want to open a business. Ah now I remember the name: an investor!”
“Chacha, I work for investors. I help manage their customers and their problems. I don’t give money to customers.”
This statement made Dheeraj Chaddha huff angrily as he jabbed an elbow into Chacha Satish’s side. Yanking him and almost loudly whispering into his ear.
"You told me she was rich."
"Forgive me, Dheeraj. I thought she was an investor not an … assistant."
Her nails dug into her palm, refraining from physically reacting.
"I'm not an assistant. I'm a client manager. I look after customers and company clients. And I earn extremely well for myself so even if I were an investor … I wouldn't invest in a disrespectful greedy lowlife."
Chacha Satish and Dheeraj gasped at her cruel words. Her uncle's nose flared up which was an ugly sight because he looked a lot like a pig. Only now she began to notice that whiskey was dribbling from the corner of his lip like a baby. Her uncle was not only mentally disgusting but physically as well.
"(Y/N), is this how you talk to guests? Ask for forgiveness right now."
"For what? I just said the truth. You're lucky I'm not asking you for forgiveness because you disrespected me."
"Me? Disrespect." Suddenly the argument took a turn as something dawned on his face. "You know what. You're right. I should ask for forgiveness."
He slapped his hands together and thrust them in her face, asking for 'forgiveness'.
"It's my fault. I didn't stop your father from giving you to your Daadi. You wouldn't have turned into a disrespectful dishonourable woman like-"
"Like who?"
Their conversation cut off at the sound of a new voice, (Y/N)'s facial expressions stuttered as the tall blonde man had cut in between them. His posture loomed over them, their skin began to ripple with goosebumps. His face drilled holes into Chacha Satish and Dheeraj, eyes narrowed and voice rather hoarse and menacing.
"Who were you going to compare her to?"
Dheeraj's eyes furrowed as he downed his drink and stumbled to shove Nanami at the shoulder.
"You're not involved in this conversation so stay out."
"Exactly my point. Who the fuck do you think you are?"
Chacha Satish frowned as he cleared his throat.
"I'm talking to my niece. I have a right to teach her right from wrong."
"Is that what it was? I heard you clearly admonish and disrespect her. Not only that but you were going to insult Daadi as well? Your own mother? Or … was it her mother? How revolting either way."
(Y/N) tugged Nanami's shoulder to avoid attention but the man barely budged as he raised an eyebrow and stepped closer, leaning into Satish’s ear to further threaten him.
"It is taking every cell in my body to refrain from killing you but I value my girlfriend and her grandmother's familial relationship. Consider yourself lucky."
Her uncle’s jaw dropped, opened and shut before he then scoffed, carelessly tossing his glass onto the bartop before shoving Dheeraj to move away from the blonde tall imposing man. Nanami’s eyes narrowed as he watched (Y/N)’s uncle and the other man walk away from them. His heart pumped vigorously as he glanced over his shoulder to see if (Y/N) was okay. It was the wrong move because he could feel the burn of anger radiating from her.
"Why the fuck did you do that?"
"Damage control."
Her mouth opened to scold him when instead the sudden heat flushed away, eyes widened in shock as her vision narrowed on an older man in the distance. The man with the same nose and face shape, his hair completely grey and dressed in a dark green sherwani and a white stole around his shoulders. Amongst the wedding planning, she had no time to recall the dark part of her past. The man who gave her up.
Her eyes darted around and almost immediately she spotted Daadi, the woman seemed to sense the same thing as she excused herself from the conversation she was having with a guest before immediately darting to where Nanami and (Y/N) were. Daadi grasped (Y/N)’s elbow as (Y/N) hissed.
“Daadi, what is he doing here?”
“It seemed that Tina invited him and neglected to tell us that.”
Nanami frowned in confusion before (Y/N) moved away from them to get Haibara. Daadi tapped her foot nervously which worried Nanami as he held onto her hand.
“Daadi? What happened? What’s going on?”
Daadi exhaled, rubbing her forehead.
“(Y/N)’s father is here. He … and (Y/N) are not on good terms.”
(Y/N) and Haibara reached them, all four of them were about to shift and leave the venue when Tina strutted up to them with (Y/N)’s father in tow. There was a smug expression on her face as she dramatically exclaimed.
“Arjun Maama! I’m so happy you agreed to come. Thank you! Oh, (Y/N)! Did you meet with Maama? How long has it been since you saw each other?”
Daadi, (Y/N) and Arjun blankly blinked, trying to look anywhere but at each other as Tina squealed.
“Ah! I’m so glad you guys get to reunite. Unfortunately I have to go and cut my cake.”
Tina walked off, having succeeded in creating an awkward atmosphere. While all the party guests were enjoying and conversing with one another, the people surrounding (Y/N) were silent. Nanami and Haibara shared apprehensive glances, unsure what to say and do. (Y/N)’s eyes narrowed at Arjun and Daadi was looking anywhere and everywhere..
Arjun rocked back and forth on his heels before swallowing the frog in his throat, pathetically smiling as he turned to Daadi.
"How … are you Mum?"
Daadi looked down, unable to look at anyone in the awkward situation. Arjun switched the conversation to Haibara.
"And Haibara. You … look just like your father."
Haibara frowned and folded his arms, not bothering to answer him. No one was responding to Arjun as he scratched at his head before noticing Nanami. He put a hand out to introduce himself.
"Hello. Tina told me that you're (Y/N)'s boss. I'm Arjun Aggarwal. Her father."
This triggered (Y/N) as she spat through gritted teeth.
"You're not my father. He died thirteen years ago."
Daadi and Arjun flinched from her violent words, he decided to pocket his hands. Nanami exhaled softly, unsure of how to go about this situation. Arjun's face softened as he gave a solemn nod.
"(Y/N), I … am so glad to see you."
"Are you really? Because the minute you were here, you ignored me and went straight to talking to Haibara, Daadi and Nanami."
His ears perked up at the sound of Nanami's name, looking at the tall blond man. Strangely his eyes watered before he returned to (Y/N).
"(Y/N) … I wish I could turn back time and fix my mistake. You don't know how much I regret leaving you."
"No you don't because if you did. You would have approached me a long time ago and taken me back home. Instead you dumped me into Daadi's hands."
People were slowly starting to get intrigued by the conversation that was brewing as Daadi tapped (Y/N) on the shoulder.
"Dear, I feel we should move this somewhere-"
"You don't get to say your regrets! You gave me up the moment when I needed you the most! Daadi was stuck taking care of me like her child when you should have done that."
Daadi dropped her hands and stepped back, deciding maybe it was best if her granddaughter let it all out. Haibara wrapped a comforting arm around her. Meanwhile Nanami cupped her shoulder to take her away from what was a brewing argument.
"(Y/N), this isn't the place-"
Arjun's heart pinched as he confessed.
"You are right but after your mother's death … I lost everything. I … lost half of myself. Seeing you everyday just reminded me of her. I … didn't want to lose you too, that's why I asked Daadi to take care of you."
"You weren't the only one who lost her. I lost my mother!"
(Y/N) was downright close to shouting and she was attracting more attention to herself. Unbeknownst to her, her face flushed with heat and her body trembled with anger. Everything was starting to bubble over as she stepped right into her father's face. Nanami looked around to see people looking over and he knew that it was time to cut off the conversation.
Nanami wrapped his arms around (Y/N) and began to drag her out of the event hall. This pissed her off more as she tried to escape Nanami's grasp to go back and argue with her father. Everyone had stopped what they were doing and stared straight ahead at the commotion.
Arjun was dejected and heartbroken as his eyes began to fill with tears, turning to face Daadi and Haibara.
"Ma. Please."
In that moment, Daadi could see the deep pools of regret and sorrow and soon the man in front of her morphed into her child. As much as she wanted to be angry for her grandchild, she couldn't. Seeing her son so vulnerable made her realise that he genuinely did regret his decision and it took a lot of difficulty to face his daughter. It was a decision he made with great difficulty.
Arjun stepped forward and placed his hands on Daadi's shoulder, sniffling and pleading.
"Ma, please. Please believe me. I truly want to say sorry. I … want to make things right."
Her heart lurched and weakened at her son, as she placed a tentative hand on his cheek. As quickly as she placed it, she pulled it away and went to follow Nanami and (Y/N). It was just Haibara and Arjun left as Arjun tried a one last attempt to get through.
"Haibara, please."
"Please what, Mr. Aggarwal?"
"I had to leave her with Daadi. I wouldn't have been able to take care of her in the state I was in. I would have lost her."
"You lost her the moment you gave her away. And she ended up losing herself because you weren't there to heal her. Who knows? She could have been there to take care of you too, Mr. Aggarwal."
And with that final nail in the coffin, Haibara stalked off to go after his friend. Leaving Arjun to stew in these final words.

Yui! Reader dating anyone but a Mukamki brother
Ruki Mukami
One little disagreement, if you can even call it that because you were clearly in the wrong, and this is what you do? Ruki wasn't surprised; he had seen this kind of behavior from humans before. He had watched as they made irrational decisions and acted out of spite, often with little consideration for the consequences.
Ruki had been around long enough to understand your motivations.
He knew you didn't like the guy you agreed to go on the date with, and you only did it to get back at him. But in the end, it was just another example of how you didn't understand your place in the world.
As livestock, you were nothing more than a meal ticket that could be discarded at any time. Ruki had hoped that after spending time with the Mukami family, you would have learned that lesson. But it seemed that you still felt too welcomed and didn't understand the true nature of your existence.
He couldn't completely blame you, though. Ruki knew that he was partly responsible for your behavior. He had grown a soft spot for you, although he couldn't pinpoint when it had happened. He found that you had become more tolerable once he had taught you how to behave properly. The Sakamaki brothers hadn't done a very good job in that regard.
But now, as you approached him with a hurried excuse and missed the heated glare he sent back towards the school, Ruki realized that he needed to remind you of your place once again.
Upon entering the mansion, Ruki wasted no time in barking orders to his brothers and cornering you against the front door by your throat. His eyes burned into yours with a heated glare as he spoke, his voice low and dangerous. "Did you really think I wouldn't hear the rumors? I don't know what I dislike more, the fact that you're a filthy whore or that you thought you wouldn't be punished.”
As Ruki's grip on your throat tightened, you gasped for air, feeling your heart pounding in your chest, “Don’t bother lying. You can use your filthy tongue for something else. On your knees.”
You wanted to protest, to tell him that you couldn't do it, that it was too degrading, but the fear in his eyes made it clear that he wouldn't accept anything less than complete obedience.
Kou Mukami
Kou loved to playfully tease you and watch as you blushed and pouted in response. He found it amusing and endearing how easily flustered you became around him. In his mind, your relationship was something unique and special compared to the bland and superficial interactions you had with others, especially the Sakamaki brothers.
Simply being around you brought him an unexpected sense of joy. However, that pleasant feeling quickly dissipated when he overheard your name being mentioned at a nearby table in the lunchroom.
As far as Kou knew, only two families were close enough to you to speak about you. The fact that this group of guys were discussing something that didn't belong to them left a bitter taste in his mouth. He couldn't help but wonder what they were up to.
Putting on a fake smile, Kou excused himself from the girls and walked over to the table where the guys were sitting. "Hey, I overheard you guys talking about Yui," he casually brought up. "She's cute, isn't she?"
One of the boys, whose name Kou couldn't even be bothered to remember, grinned up at him proudly. "You bet she is, and I scored a date with her," he boasted. The comment earned cheers from around the table, but Kou couldn't believe it.
How could you be dating him when she wasn’t his to begin with? He wasn't even worth looking at. He had nothing on Kou. Nothing. "Really?" Kou asked, trying to sound congratulatory. He quickly left the table after, walked past his fan group, and went to look for you.
It didn’t long to find you, walking around the hall carrying a heavy box. You didn’t notice him until the box is snatched out your hand and Kou is smiling at you innocently, “Let me help with that. Where to?”
"Kou… the supply closet." You told him, holding up the key.
His smile widened, pleased with how the situation was unfolding. Although he hadn't planned on being alone with you right off of meeting, he was determined to make the most of it. The perfect opportunity fell right into his hands. Kou grabbed your wrist and practically dragged you to the closet, where he snatched the key from you to unlock the door.
Once inside, Kou looked around and said, "I can't seem to find where to put it," as he set the box down on the floor.
"I'll help," you offered, walking towards the box. Suddenly, your face was slammed into the wall, causing you to yelp in pain. Kou had a death grip on your hair, his body pressed against your back, and he leaned down towards your neck.
"M Neko-chan, you're so mean," Kou hissed, pressing down harder on your head and tilting it further. "One little fight and you go running to another man. If you wanted to be treated like a slut, all you had to do was ask," he snarled, biting down hard on your neck and tearing the skin, blood gushing on your clothes, the wall and him.
He pulled away, "I'll make you unrecognizable, M Neko-chan. The next time you try to run away, you won't even know who you are," Kou threatened, “but I’m sure you’ll like that, wouldn’t you?” His other hand slipped under your shirt, traveling up your back to the front, “Of course you would.”
Azuma Mukami
Azusa had a penchant for physical pain, more so than the average person, but this time he deeply regretted his actions. Emotional pain was never his intention.
He would have apologized in a heartbeat if you hadn't stormed away. The feeling of guilt crept up on him like a slimy worm, and he punished himself for what he had done.
He knew he was in the wrong and deserved to be punished. You were right; you should be punishing him right now. But no amount of self-punishment could alleviate the feeling of regret that plagued him.
As he sat at the dinner table, Kou brought up a rumor he had heard at school that day. Usually, Azusa paid little attention to rumors, but this one was about you, and he quickly became attentive. His stomach turned uncontrollably as he looked across the table at you, who didn't return his gaze.
“Supposedly, she accepted a date from someone but that can’t be right, hm, M Neko-chan?”
Kou's words stung as he spoke them, his smirk betraying his cruel intentions. Azusa sat at the table, his eyes cast down to his plate, visibly trembling in disbelief. He knew that this was just one fight of many, but he never expected it to drive you away like this. He was hurt, and it was the worst kind of hurt.
Without a word, Azusa got up from the table and retreated to his room. You felt guilty, knowing that you were the cause of his pain. You asked Ruki if you could be excused, and he noticed Azusa's behavior and allowed it. You made your way to Azusa's door and knocked, watching as it opened slightly on its own.
As you entered, you saw Azusa standing in front of his knife display, picking one out. He heard you come in and turned to you with a sad smile.
"I...don't like...that kind of...pain," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He looked down in thought, then raised the knife and sliced his arm. "This is...the best…kind," he continued. "I hurt you...but…you didn't...like that...so you clearly...like mine."
You felt your heart break as you watched watch him walk over to you, smiling innocent, because what he was about to do was something he truly believed you wanted.
To be happy, right?
Yuma Mukami
Yuma knew he had a problem with his temper, but he didn't care. He felt like people were just too sensitive and couldn't handle the truth. And you, you knew this about him, yet you still pushed his buttons. It was almost like you hadn't learned anything from living in the Sakamaki and Mukami mansions. You were still in denial about your worth and the fact that you had no choice in your circumstances.
So when Yuma finally lost it and bit you, it was no surprise to him. But what annoyed him was how you stormed off, looking sad. He had to fight the urge to chase after you and comfort you, even though he knew he had hurt you. The guilt that came with that feeling was infuriating to him.
He couldn't help but think, "Fuck you." He wouldn't be feeling this way if it weren't for you. He would much rather figure out his own life than constantly worry about how you fit into it. You drove him crazy and he wanted you to leave, but he knew that he would hunt you down if you did.
And now, he was seeking you out, not because he missed your dumb face, but because he had heard a rumor that had his blood boiling. There was no way you could be that gullible and stupid to accept a date from some half-assed dude. But then again, it sounded exactly like something you would do.
Yuma couldn't wait to clear the air with you, but his anger was palpable. He saw red at the possibility of the rumor being true. When he finally got his hands on you, he hoped the rumor was just that - a rumor. Otherwise, he might just do something he would regret.
He spotted you talking to someone. His stomach dropped as he realized it could be the same guy he had heard rumors about. What the hell was wrong with you? Did you not understand the severity of your situation?
He waited until the guy had walked away before approaching you, his fists clenched at his sides. Without a word, he grabbed you, throwing you over his shoulders and dragged you into the closest empty classroom. Once inside, he slammed you against the wall, his hand around your throat and the other pressed against the wall beside your head. His eyes blazed with rage as he looked down at you.
"You must be a fucking idiot, sow, to really think that would work," he sneered. "I mean, you only made your situation worse."
You tried to speak, but he silenced you by slamming his hand against the wall beside your head. You whimpered in fear as he tightened his grip around your throat.
"You can't leave, sow," he spat, his voice low and menacing. "The only way you leave is if you're dead." With that, he sank his teeth into your neck, eliciting a scream from your lips. He covered your mouth with his hand to stifle the sound.

Dazai X Odasaku!Sister Ch5
Tumblr media
Chapter 5: "Suddenly,Dying Doesn't Seem That Easy"
Summary: Ango shows up after telling Dazai to stay away Odasaku's little sister. Little does he know, the mafia executive didn't listen.
Warning: Lots of angst in this one, Odasaku death mentions, typical Dazai suicide mention, feels, Ango being protective mom, manipulative behavior from both sides. I gave Oda's sister a name but you can imagine it as y/n.
(This is chapter five of my fanfic "Timeless" which is now on A03. It carries on from the three part intro I posted a couple days ago. I'll link it below to fully understand the story.)
Three Part Intro Here: (just cause the first chapter is so long)
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
A03 Version Here:
Word count: 7k
Asagao felt her brain malfunction at the sight of her worst fear at the door.
And the minute she met Ango’s eyes, the girl could clearly see the frustration and anger that resisted in every one of his features. She didn’t need her glasses off to tell that he was pissed by her little “running away” joke three weeks ago.
In fact, their little interaction had been wiped clean from her mind until this moment, not bothering to think about the consequences of her actions. Well, crap. This wasn’t good.
She then watched the man open his mouth only for Asa to quickly gasp before shutting the door straight in his face comically in order to quickly turn around and hurry back into the living room where Dazai was waiting.
Lifting his head in her direction, he frowned when her hands were empty. “Where’s the food, Asa-chan? I’m hungryyy.”
Asa then ran a nervous hand through her hair before pushing her own glasses up with a rushed reply. “Hey so ummm, hypothetically, on the scale from one to ten, how ruined would our date be if Ango showed up with like..oh I don’t know..fifty government agents…?”
At that, Dazai couldn’t help but pause, his head turning in question. What was she saying? Ango was here? “That’s oddly specific..”
She then gave an over the top laugh in order to turn towards the kitchen and throw open the nearest window before placing her foot halfway outside with a shaky smile. “Ha ha ha, yeah I guess it is. You know what, never mind.. Everything is good, great even! Now if you don’t mind me, I’m gonna jump out this window real quick for no apparent reason. Okay, bye…”
Yet just as soon as she finished that sentence, the front door seemingly flew off its hinges in order for a hoard of government officials and the man himself to step inside the doorway without permission.
And with her foot halfway out the window, Asagao felt herself laugh at the ominous air in order to slip back onto the ground, her arms open with a nervous reply. “A-Ango! Hey buddy, my old pal how you been? We can talk about this, right? No need to be so mad, running away was just a little joke, I swear. You can take a joke right? You’re an understanding guy I’m sure of it.”
Unlucky for her though, the man was not understanding in the slightest, his steps firm in order to stare down at the foolish fifteen year girl. “Oda Asagao, you better explain yourself right now why you purposely have been leading me on a wild goose chase throughout this whole city to find you.”
Asa only fake gasped though, placing a hand to her chest in disbelief. “Whaa? I have no idea what you mean, I’m just an innocent little girl. How could I even do that?”
Deadpanning immediately, the agent then reached into his jacket pocket in order to pull out a stack of candid photos and show her in anger. “So you didn’t pay off over a dozen people with your brother’s money in order for them to dress like you and go to different parts of the city just to show up on security cameras?”
Three weeks, three weeks Ango had been chasing dead ends only for her to be at Oda’s apartment this whole time. He thought it would’ve been too obvious for her to have returned here but apparently not.
It was almost like she knew that hiding in plain sight was the best way to evade him. What a sneaky little girl. Odasaku never said anything about that.
Shifting her eyes away from the man, Asa then resisted the urge to cockily gloat about her successful red herring plot before leaning forward in a hopeful smile. “So let’s just say, if I did do that..would you be impressed by it?”
Ango only glared though, causing Asagao’s face to fall before putting two and two together. “Gonna take that as a no..”
Groaning at her casual tone, the man then stomped over to her in order to point a disappointed finger in her direction. “This ends right now. You’re going to..”
Yet that’s when his eyes couldn’t help but widen at the bandages around her arms and throat, his entire demeanor freezing before melting into pure concern. “Wait, what happened to your neck? Who hurt you?”
Asagao’s fingers then couldn’t help but touch the area before cursing to herself. She couldn’t tell him that she had been fighting, then she’d never hear the end of it.
Snapping her head up, Oda’s sister then gave a carefree chuckle before moving her hands around wildly in order to sweet talk her way out of the conversation.  “Ha ha, you know now that you mention it, it’s a great story, a really funny one actually. When you hear it you’re gonna laugh!”
Ango obviously didn’t believe that though, his lips pushing in with frustration before he roughly reached forward in order to grasp onto her bandaged wrist and pull her towards the agents and him. “Enough of your excuses, we are leaving right now even if I have to drag you all the back.”
Gasping at the contact, Asa whined back. “H-Hey..wait a second..”
No, he couldn’t pull her away like this, she wouldn’t let him. Not after she’d been so close to what she’d been desperately searching for her entire life.
Yet that’s when she felt someone unlatch the hold as her entire body fell backwards only for a strong pair of arms to wrap around her waist and pull her to his chest protectively.
Wait, she knew this bandaged hand anywhere.
Osamu.
And when Dazai spoke, it was full of teasing malice, lacing across his tongue with every word as he hugged her closer to him. “Ango, could you not touch my girlfriend so casually?”
The two then watched as the poor government official tried to put his words together, his lips opening with pure disbelief for what he was saying.
He had to have heard that wrong, right? There was no way that’s what he said.  “D-Dazai? What are you doing here…and what do you mean by that..?”
The boy only smirked though, moving his hand up to Oda’s sister’s shoulders in order to sling his arm over the surface with a carefree manner. “It means exactly what you think it means. This little darling and I have been official for three weeks already.”
And the look of horror on Ango’s face was a sight to behold indeed. So much so that Dazai couldn’t help but revel in it. He couldn’t help it, after betraying their friendship it felt good to see him so distraught by the idea of him “dating” Asagao.
Turning towards the devious mafioso, the agent glared at the depravity. “You..I told you to stay away and this is what you do? Is this some sort of punishment for what I did to the port mafia?”
Although he would’ve liked to be true, Dazai knew it wasn’t. Hell, if Asagao hadn’t approached him all those weeks ago then he would’ve kept his promise to stay away. It was her little bet and agreement that got him to stick around.
Pouting his lips innocently, he then trailed his fingers down to her Asa’s waist before pulling her closer to him. “Aw, don’t look at me like that. Not at all, besides I wasn’t the one that asked. That was all Odasaku’s precious little sister’s doing.”
Then all at once, Ango’s fury seemed to shift, his glare moving to the girl in question. “A-Asagao, what is the meaning of this, is he telling the truth?”
The girl didn’t stutter though, she didn’t make up some kind of excuse, her body still as she allowed Dazai to possessively claim her. “Yeah, I asked him to be my boyfriend.”
She then watched Ango’s lips fall open with disgust as he ran an anxious hand through his hair before groaning. “This is worse than I thought..what were you thinking Asagao? Dazai is the worst person for you to be around. He is a bad influence, you should know that better than anyone.”
Asa only scoffed though, rolling her eyes in the process. “Okay mom..”
Who did he think he was, her brother? This guy may have been Oda’s best friend but she didn’t owe anything to him. He didn’t even know why she was doing all this.
But to Ango, the man only saw an unruly fifteen year old girl, disobeying and acting out with an attitude that made him unexplainably furious. No, this needed to end now. He needed to make her see that Dazai Osamu was the worst possible option for her.
Feeling his voice raise, the agent then turned towards the silent mafioso before lifting his hands out in exasperation. “I’m being serious! He’s incapable of caring, he’s just using you and you are letting him.”
Ango knew Dazai insanely well after all. He had drank with him and heard all of his fucked up stories and viewpoints. The guy was a monster, a demon and though it fit in the port mafia setting perfectly, here it was not warranted.
But the problem was, he couldn’t turn it off. He knew the boy couldn’t. He manipulated everything and everyone in his entire life. He wasn’t the kind boyfriend that he was probably pretending to be for her. She had to see that.
Narrowing her eyes at his words, Asagao replied shortly. “Okay, and?”
Ango couldn’t help but freeze at that. Why did it sound like she already knew about his intentions? What did she mean by that? Did she not care that Dazai was using her for his own selfish whims? He thought she had more self respect than that.
Feeling himself unravel ever so slowly, the agent shouted back in disbelief. “A-And?! Are you even hearing yourself? It's one thing to come to Yokohama uninvited but now you’ve gone so far off the deep end.”
He was speaking like this was the end of the world, like her dating Dazai was armageddon and Asa found it annoying. “You’re overreacting, Ango. It’s really not that serious.”
The bandaged executive then chuckled to himself, before enjoying the pure fury in his eyes as he brushed his fingers up and down Asagao’s side with a hum. “Yeah Ango, lighten up.”
Glaring at the two kids, the man’s eyes then flashed towards Dazai’s fingers before looking back towards the mysterious bandages he had spotted before.
And when he spoke, it was dark and accusatory. “Then tell me what happened to your neck.”
All at once, Asagao felt her eyes widen as Dazai’s hand couldn’t help but pause as well, his fingers turning stationary as memories of the night played in each of their minds. He could still feel his fingers on her throat, whether he wanted to or not.
Placing a nervous hand to her injury, Asa stuttered back. “Uhh well…that is..”
Ango cut her off immediately, seemingly already knowing the truth. “Dazai, did you do it?”
He then turned towards his old friend only for him to visibly allow his hand to fall from Asa’s side in visible guilt. What could he even say to that? He had put those marks there, and for once Dazai wasn’t proud of it.
Although that’s when Asagao frowned in order to place a protective hand over his body, her fingers carefully keeping a distance so he didn’t tense up. “Hey, stop assuming things. It’s not Osu’s fault..I was the one that asked him to fight!”
Dazai couldn’t help but stare in disbelief at that, his throat twisting uncomfortably in reply. She was defending him. Why? He didn’t deserve that. He didn’t deserve her kindness.
Yet that’s when Asagao watched Ango’s face fall, knowing she had fucked up. “..Did you just say fight?
Already feeling the nagging coming, the girl then slapped her hand over her face before groaning. This is what she was trying to avoid. “Oh boy..here we go…”
It was too late to stop the oncoming storm though, the agent bursting at the seams for what he was hearing. “You fought with Dazai? You can’t be serious. Do you know what he could’ve done to you?!”
Dazai couldn’t help but chuckle at the accusation though, knowing that he was underestimating Oda’s sister exponentially. If only his old friend saw the sadistic look she gave him just hours ago. Then he wouldn’t be saying that.
No, even the mafia executive knew they were pretty evenly matched. “Actually Ango, Asa-chan here is a very talented lady. She got a few hits on me as well.”
Although that’s when he watched Asagao pause before shifting her eyes over to him only for a gentle grateful smile to cross her lips at the compliment.
Huh, she must’ve not been given her credit very often for her to have reacted like that.
Ango didn’t seem to share in the moment though, the man replying sharply. “I know she is, I saw her file before Oda asked me to erase it. That’s not the problem.”
Dazai felt his curiosity spike at that. Wait, Odasaku asked Ango to erase his little sister’s file? But he would’ve only done that if she had a list of crimes he wanted to disappear. But then that begged the question, what kinds of illegal things was Asa a part of as a child?
Asagao seemed to know immediately though, her shoulders turning tense as the agent continued roughly. “I know what you did as a child, Asagao. And now you're fighting again? Don’t you realize how bad that is? If you keep this up then you will..”
The girl’s eyes then flashed with realization before her lips curled into a lethal smile. “Oh, I get it. You’re afraid I’m gonna turn dark like Osu by hanging out with him. You’re scared of me and of what I can do. That’s why you brought in all these government idiots. What? Afraid I’m gonna snap? That I’m gonna join the port mafia? You’ve gotta be kidding me..”
And from the look on his face, she guessed completely right, the agent shaking his head in order to shout back with desperation. “I’m trying to help you, I’m trying to keep from being manipulated and turning back into a hellhound pet !”
The air turned silent then as Dazai tried to decipher the meaning. It was obvious that Asagao was professionally trained as an assassin from their fight, so much so that it seemed like her unhinged expressions were a part of that.
He had compared her to a crazed dog before so Ango calling her a “hellhound” wasn’t that far off. Was his theory correct? Did people seek after her for her talent? Did they also want her chained down and owned like he had briefly thought for a moment?
No wonder why Odasaku sent her away and kept her a secret.
Asagao didn’t react though, her eyes simply closing at the silence before she smiled back in a way that Dazai knew wasn’t completely authentic. “Yeah? Well, I didn’t ask for your help. So thanks but no thanks.”
The girl then turned around in order to escape further into the apartment only for Ango to call after her. “You know, Oda would be so disappointed in you for what you’re doing.”
Pausing for a moment, Asa then turned her head before snapping her eyes back to his. “No, Ango. I don’t know that. Thanks for the insight though.”
She then turned back only for Dazai to sense a change within her. Yes, on the outside she seemed calm but the boy could see the timer in each of her steps, like a bomb waiting to explode.
Ango kept pushing through, following after her as the various agents stood in silent wait. “Can’t you take anything seriously? Odasaku wouldn’t want this.”
Asagao only lifted her hand up, dismissing him completely. “Good to know..”
The man was furious though, not letting her escape. How dare she just walk away when Odasaku spent his entire life making sure she had a better one than him. “You know, by doing this you are disobeying his wishes and dishonoring everything he’s ever done..”
She then paused again, her lips turning up into another forced smile before pushing the thought away completely. “And you know what, we are not having this conversation..”
Dazai could tell though, he could tell that she was unraveling. She wore a smile, sure. But he had analyzed her for three weeks straight. He knew her better than she probably knew herself. And right now, Asagao was falling from that positive mask by the second.
If Ango pushed anymore, she’d surely snap.
And push he did, the agent only seeing disrespect in order for him to shout the worst sentence of all. “We will have this conversation until you understand that what you’re doing is disgraceful! You are making everything he did, every single sacrifice worthless. Do you even know what he had to do for you?!”
Just then, every single unpleasant and tortuous memory crashed into her mind in order to feel that same sickening reality that she had been trying to ignore this entire night.
He died because he took your place.
It’s your fault.
Gritting her teeth, Asagao’s smile then fell for a millisecond before she turned back to Ango with so much frustrated pain that it shook the entire room. “Of course I know!”
The two boys then watched as Oda’s sister chuckled to herself in order to run a frazzled hand through her hair, the girl’s smile shaking and snapping back into place, almost like she needed it to be there. “Fuck, Ango seriously? Why do you have to bring up shit I’m trying to forget. I spent all night trying to not think about it and you just had to ruin it.”
Shaking her head, Asa then added with defeat. “Of course I know that Oda sacrificed his entire life for me and I can’t even have the decency to remember his goddamn face.”
She then took in a shaky breath before pushing her arms around herself in order to hold her own misery together. “You think I asked for him to save me, you think I wanted to live my life with the guilt that he was suffering instead? He wouldn’t even tell me what was happening in his letters, he never let me in, not once...”
Her words came out so bitterly, so spiteful, like she blamed her brother for his inability to never let her share in his world. “His work, his life, everything I wanted to know about he kept secret. The only thing he talked about was Dazai, a complete stranger that I had never met before. Do you know how frustrating that is? Do you know how that feels? To not know your own family and yet know everything about a boy who doesn't even know you exist?”
At that, Dazai couldn’t help but widen his eyes. She just called him by his last name. That was the first time she had ever done that. It sounded so distant, so strange. He didn’t like it. He didn’t like being so far away from her comprehension.
But he supposed that’s why she said it. He didn’t know her until recently, she was a stranger to him until she showed up at Oda’s apartment. She must have felt betrayed, having only heard about him and not the family she so desperately wanted to be close to.
Why, why did Odasaku only speak about him? Why was Dazai the only person that Odasaku had let be a part of her life? He didn’t know and he feared he would never find the answer.
Ango only looked stunned though, causing Asagao to scoff before pointing an accusatory finger in his direction. “Of course you don’t, because you had the luxury of actually knowing him. You knew him so well and I still don’t even know if he ever resented me..”
Her voice then fell off then, realizing the weight of her words only for Ango to lift his hand out with sadness.
Did she really think that Odasaku hated her? Didn’t she know how much he loved her? “Asa..”
She only slapped the affection away though, her voice bitter. “You know, maybe he did, maybe he always hated me. Maybe he cursed my name for years after having to go through the torture that was designed for me..”
Placing a hand to her bandaged neck, Asa then frowned in memory. “You may see my actions as reckless decisions but the only things I’ve ever had from him are feelings, fragments of who he was. The nostalgic adrenaline when I fight, the promises of fragile positivity, without that I had nothing, he gave me nothing else to cling to..”
She then paused before turning her sad eyes towards the brown haired boy across from her before speaking softly. “Expect Osamu. He gave me Osamu, and I damn well am not about to let him go just because you say so. Even if his only reason to stay is to use me and throw me away, it doesn’t matter. He can do as he pleases..”
Placing her hand gently to her chest, she then began to smile again, except this time it seemed a tiny bit more genuine than before. “Because he gives me stories, memories that are so cruel and yet so beautiful, just out of reach from what I can comprehend. But I try my best to because anything is better than those broken fragments I was forced to cling to for my entire life..”
And Asagao believed that with her whole entire heart. She was using Osamu to find her brother, that much was already established but just having him stand by her side brought a sense of calm she didn’t know she could feel until three weeks ago.
Just his very presence was enough to make the loneliness in her heart dissipate. He didn’t even have to do anything, he didn’t even have to be kind to her or look at her other than a stranger. As long as he stayed by her side for a little while, then she would be alright.
She would never receive another letter from Oda now that he was dead, which meant that Osamu was the last remaining thing she had to him.
So much so that she was dependent on him. Not by his actions or words but rather by knowledge that he existed, that he wasn’t just some sort of fantasy Oda constructed in his mind. He was tangible and real, and that meant everything to her.
He meant everything to her.
Dazai on the other hand couldn’t help but be stunned by the admiration she spoke so openly. Sure, she wasn’t attached to him as a person, that was certain.
It was more of the concept of him that made her so grateful. She was just happy to have something constant and nostalgic in her life.
Hell, if Odasaku had mentioned Ango instead of him in those letters then he was sure Asagao would’ve been clinging to the agent instead.
But it was the fact that it was him , the fact that out of everyone in the entire world she had put so much devoted feeling into a broken sad suicidal boy like him was unbelievable.
He didn’t deserve that kind of praise or honor. Anyone would've been a better companion when she was a child.
How ironic. All throughout his entire life Dazai felt alone, he always felt suffocatingly insignificant, like nothing would ever change if he disappeared one day.
But it seemed like that wasn’t true. Because somewhere across the world there was a girl that depended on his pathetic little life like a vice.
She didn’t care what he said or did. No. Asagao only cared that he was alive, that he stayed alive and woke up the next morning. It was an insignificant yet hard thing for Dazai to grasp, the realization that he did matter to someone this entire time.
The feeling was overwhelming, so much so that the boy didn’t know how to take it.
And though it didn’t change his desire to leave this world painlessly, he now knew the truth.
Suddenly dying didn’t seem so easy anymore.
Giving a heavy sigh, Asagao then dropped her hand before turning her gaze back towards the stunned agent. “I wouldn’t expect you to understand, Ango. I wouldn’t expect anyone to understand…”
She then sucked in another shaky breath before lifting her hands out in sad defeat. “I know you two would’ve liked it better if he was the one alive right now instead of me but I can’t do a damn thing about it, okay? I’m sorry life didn’t work out the way any of us wanted..”
Closing her eyes in pain, Asa then whispered brokenly. “..I’m sorry I survived and he didn’t.”
It was a reality she didn’t want to face and yet it was so hard to ignore all the same. She wasn’t Odasaku, she was just a discount dollar store version of what both of them wanted. She as a person didn’t matter and the only reason either of them cared was because her big brother's blood ran in her veins.
Oh, how disappointed they must have been to be stuck with her instead.
Then before either of them could blink, she disappeared from their sights before they heard the front door slam as the government agents pulled out their weapons and tense. “Sir..”
Ango only put a hand up though, his voice barely above a whisper. “Let her go.”
The agent’s then relaxed only for Dazai to see his old friend’s shoulders sag with a broken mutter in order to speak out to an invisible force. “Odasaku, what do I do now?”
Closing his eyes at the sound of Oda's name, the mafia executive then sighed before looking towards the front door silently. It seemed like neither of them knew what to say now.
And Ango was at an absolute loss. He was never good with kids and Asagao was no different. He pushed too hard and assumed so many things and it only drove her away. He just wanted to protect her like his best friend did, he wanted to take over that role. Was that so bad? To carry on Odasaku’s legacy?
Although that’s when the man watched as Dazai simply shoved his hands in his pockets before moving back towards the living room only for the agent to frown at his disregard for the situation. “Dazai, where are you going?”
The boy only narrowed his eyes though, his voice distant. “Work.”
Scoffing at his vague tone, Ango then turned towards the kid with disdain. It was just as expected, Dazai didn’t care about any of this. He didn’t care that Asagao was falling apart or that she had just confessed that he had always been her lifeline.
He was just as cruel and inhuman as he remembered.
The agent then balled his fists before speaking out towards the seemingly detached boy. “Do you know where she could be going?”
At that, the boy then paused before turning back to Ango in order to shrug his shoulders absentmindedly, his eyes holding something other than just truth.
“Who knows.”
-----
To say that Dazai went back to the port mafia was a flat out lie, one that he couldn’t show in front of Ango. Maybe on any other day he could’ve dismissed what had happened tonight but for some reason the fifteen year old kid felt his feet move towards somewhere else entirely.
The truth was, the boy knew exactly where Oda’s sister was the moment she left. He could read her after all. In fact, it was fairly obvious to anyone that had been paying attention.
But his reasons for lying to his old friend stemmed from the uncertainty of Ango taking her away from him. He was selfish after all, and though it was better for her to go, Dazai felt himself cling on even so.
Pausing in order to look out towards the familiar rooftop view of Yokohama, he found the spot where Asagao and him had spoken three weeks ago before shoving his hands into his pockets with a sigh.
He could almost picture her foolish goofy face as she placed that bet for him to be her boyfriend. Back then he agreed as a joke and yet here he was, still occupying the title, even if it was just in name only.
Gazing around the area, the bandaged boy then found what he was looking for, her small frame curled up by her knees in order to sadly gaze at the sunrise with that same distant look in her eye.
The one that showed when she wasn’t allowing herself to truly view the world.
And as he approached, it was obvious to tell that she had sensed him appear. Yet even so she still didn’t make a sound, simply staring ahead as her fingers squeezed her knees once more.
He didn’t say a word to her, only moving to her spot before Dazai slumped his body down so that his back was resting against his, his face unseen by the girl in question.
From this distance, the two couldn’t analyze anything about each other, and that’s exactly what Dazai wanted. For you see, he didn’t know how to comfort someone, he didn’t even know how to show the tiniest bit of sympathy.
The mafia had taught him to control, manipulate and exploit. They showed him the most effective way to skin someone alive and make them cry of forgiveness only to give no mercy.
But the one thing they didn’t teach him how to be is human.
Yet that’s when Odasaku’s voice rang through his mind once more, causing the boy to close his eyes in defeat.
Be a good man.
And then, he tried, speaking out into the air.  “He didn’t resent you.”
Asagao didn’t move though, allowing Dazai to continue as he thought about the soft smile he had seen time and time again. “Odasaku wasn’t that kind of man. He was kind, selfless, and even if you asked him not to save you he would’ve done it anyways.”
He then paused before absentmindedly shaking his head in response. This wouldn’t work. It didn’t matter what he felt about the man, she needed proof, she needed facts to believe that what he was saying was true.
Pushing his lips together in silent thought, the boy then smiled to himself, knowing exactly what to say.
She wanted to know about her brother's life, and he could give her that. “He took care of orphans in his free time and I always wondered why he wanted to waste his time with such sniveling brats. But now I can see why..”
Dazai then titled his head up before finishing softly. “They reminded him of you.”
It was obvious now, more so than ever before. Odasaku housed those brats because he was trying to fill some kind of hole.
Back when he was alive, Dazai never understood what caused him to start doing it, but now that Asagao was here it seemed like all the pieces had finally clicked into place.
Feeling himself grow nostalgic at his own words, he continued. “Me too, I think I reminded him of you also. That’s why he helped me, why he liked talking to me. He probably saw it as an extension of you in some way. Both those orphans and I, he took us in to feel closer to you..”
And that was always his greatest mystery, how Odasaku was able to handle such a destructive and detached child like Dazai. The boy always found it strange how he never ran away or looked disgusted by his actions. He always just gave him that same placid calm look, the one that made him feel just a little bit more normal then he actually was.
Perhaps that was because whenever the man looked at Dazai, he saw his sister in some kind of twisted way. He wished Oda told him that, cause now the kid had to go on never knowing if that was the truth.
Feeling his lips curve up into a sad smile, he then chuckled to himself. “And you know, it probably killed him not to talk about you, to brag about his cute little sister. Ango told me that he couldn’t help himself when he was drunk. That means that you were on his mind one way or another.”
He understood why he did it, why his friend kept her a secret for his entire life. It was the most logical way to keep her safe. He didn’t tell her about himself or his life because he was most likely afraid that Asagao would’ve followed after him. Then Oda would’ve had to live with the guilt of her being used and caged again.
And Dazai couldn’t blame him for it, he couldn’t resent him for such a thing. Although, it was obvious that the man probably didn’t know the consequences of his actions. That by pushing her away he had inadvertently damaged her in a way that couldn’t be changed.
Now his own sister was left to pick up the pieces that he had left behind, unable to ever find any definitive proof that he ever loved her.
But Dazai knew better, he knew his old friend better then she ever could. Which meant that the only one that could put her mind at ease was him. “But I knew him, and that man was incapable of hate, so I know he didn’t hate you..”
He then felt Asa lift her head from her knees, her voice shaky and uncertain. “Why are you saying this? You have no obligation to. This wasn’t a part of our deal.”
No, it wasn’t, but even still the boy continued to speak, unsure why he was doing so in the first place. “I don’t know, I just know he wouldn’t have wanted you to think like this. He wouldn’t have wanted to see you sad, to think he didn’t care about you..”
Because he did, he knew he did. Odasaku had to have loved his little sister.
He wouldn’t have done all of this work if he didn’t. He wouldn’t have written her letters or wiped her existence from the mafia or withheld anything to do with her if he didn’t care. Dazai truly believed that, and he wanted her to believe it also.
Reaching into his black suit pocket, the boy then pulled out his most precious possession before placing it on the grassy ground in order to slide it over for her to see.
He then watched Asagao slowly pick up the black at white photograph before gasping quietly at the sight.
It was a picture of her brother.
And not only that, it was a picture of both Dazai and Ango as well, all of them standing side by side with drinks in their hands as they looked towards the camera with expressionless confusion, like the badged boy had forced them into the position for fun.
And almost immediately, Asagao felt her eyes water, placing a finger gently towards her ever stoic brother with a shaky smile. So that’s what he looked like. He had grown taller than the last time she saw him.
But even so, the girl tried to hold in her tears, not wanting to shed such an unpleasant emotion and fail her brother’s last wish. “Just like when I was a kid..you still manage to bring me closer to him..”
At that, Dazai couldn’t help but frown, his chest filling with an unpleasant reminder of the type of faith she had in him. He didn’t deserve it, he wasn’t dependable like that.
Pushing his lips together in conflict, he spoke again, allowing the uncertainty to fill the air. “Odasaku should've picked someone else to talk about in those letters..”
It was a simple fact. Odasaku put so much time and effort into describing Dazai’s life only for him to plan to end it all as quickly as possible. He was a fragile promise, something that could not be trusted to stay in this fucked up world.
Yet that’s when he heard her voice, far too sweet and kind. “I’m glad it was you.”
The boy then felt himself crumble at that, recalling the promise that Oda had given him. How could she say that? Didn’t she know he was a failure? That he was dishonoring his best friend in the worst possible way?
And because his back was turned, Dazai spoke the truth, knowing that she couldn’t see his pathetically weak face from where they were sitting. “But I don’t even know what it means to be a good man..”
She answered then, her head turning up to rest on his shoulder as Dazai couldn’t help but tense at the touch. “Do you want to be?”
Looking away from the girl, Dazai then recalled the lingering feeling of his fingers on her throat before shaking his head sadly.
Of course he wanted to be. He wanted to make Odasaku proud, to have his death mean something. But that was easier said than done.
Perhaps he should just stop trying altogether. It would make things much easier if it was only going to end in failure anyways.  “It doesn’t matter, it’s impossible for someone evil like me.”
The air was silent then as Dazai waited for her to agree with him, to condemn him like he deserved for putting his hands on her, for disappointing her, for being unable to keep her brother's promise.
Yet that’s when she replied, the very words causing his dark thoughts to dissipate. “If there can be a possibility of evil then why can’t there be a possibility of good?”
At that, Dazai felt his eyes fall to his hands. How could she say that? Demons couldn’t be cleansed into angels, he said that before. Yes there was a possibility but it was slim, so incredibly slim.
Shaking his head, he responded automatically, already knowing the truth. “Because I’m…”
A demon, a monster, a killer, a liar, a controller, a manipulator, an exploiter, inhuman, incapable, deflective. There were so many ways to end that sentence and yet Dazai didn’t have the heart to use any of them.
Although that’s when Asagao finished his sentence. ”You’re Osamu, my boyfriend.”
Feeling himself pause, he then heard her smile through her words, looking up at the sunrise with knowing thought. “Maybe you just need someone to believe in the things you can’t see just yet..”
The things he couldn’t see yet? What was that supposed to mean? Was she suggesting that he needed someone to believe that he could be good? But no one would believe that, no sane person anyways.
So much so, Dazai smirked at the idea, knowing it was a fool's dream. “And what kinds of things are that, love?”
Yet that’s when he felt the pressure on his shoulder get heavy in order to hear the soft intake of breath from Asagao only for him to snort in reply. What an idiot, falling asleep on him so shamelessly.
Well, they did keep each other all night after all.
Debating moving so that she would wake up, Dazai then froze as Asagao’s sleepy voice coursed through his ears, causing his heart to strain without permission.
“Osamu..I think you’re a good man.”
Widening his eyes at her words, the boy then sharply turned only to find her completely passed out, like she had said them in her dream filled decision.
But even so, Dazai heard every word.
And though the boy was incapable of a lot of things, he wasn’t incapable of the overwhelming feeling of emotion that coursed through every single vein and muscle without permission.
She believed in him, she believed that he could be a good man.
Even when no one else believed, even when he himself couldn’t believe, she did.
It was a foolish statement, she was foolish for saying it but even so Dazai couldn’t help but lift his head up in reply, staring towards the blinding sunrise before shifting his gaze towards Asagao.
How dare she encourage him, how dare she give him the very thing he wanted to hear since Oda’s death. How dare she say such a foolish thing so casually.
And how dare she make him feel this way, so human.
So fragile.

Nina Zenik x gn! Reader - Getting lucky
A/n: originally this was going to be longer and have a whole other plot to it, I might still do that tbf, but I've decided just to do this, then maybe add more on later!
Request (by the lovely @bandshirts-andbooks ) : Can you please write some Nina fluff? Maybe reader is a waitress/waiter at her favorite waffle place? Watching the show is making me re-enter my Nina obsession lol
warnings: alluded death, depression (kind of), swearing, I think that's it? You have been warned!
The 3 P's:
[Pronouns used: you/your] [Pov: 2nd person] [Pairings: (romantic!) nina x reader, (past romantic!) helnik, (platonic) crows x nina]
Tumblr media
Perhaps Nina wasn't just in a bad mood, as she was trying to convince the others, maybe it was something more. That didn't mean she wanted to talk about it.
The click of the door when she opened it sung in her ears as she seemingly floated down the isles trying to find a spot. This was one of the reasons she this waffle house was one of her favorites, she could just sit if there were any room and they would serve her.
She's a regular here, she loves waffles, and here she can ignore her sorrows with food. What could be a better deal than that?
"Hello Miss! I'm Y/n and I am going to be your server this evening."
You smiled brightly at her and her breath stuttered, it was as if you pulled all the light onto you and emitted it just by giving her a smile you probably gave to every customer. She didn't care much though, she just wanted to see it again.
It didn't even bother her that you weren't her regular server, she could care less about whatever their name was, she had forgotten it the moment she could even catch a glance at you.
"Are you ready to order?"
Nina blinked, remembering what she had come here for the first place and a cloud had come over her head once again. How could she ever forget?
"Usually I am, I do come here quite often as waffles are my favorite food!" She laughed.
It was as if her laughter was contagious, and a small giggle escaped your lips. "Mine too! And I've heard that you're quite the regular, perhaps I'll get the chance to be your server again if tonight doesn't go terrible." You rambled a bit as if you hadn't talked to a person about what you liked for in a while.
Quickly you realized that you were talking about yourself for too long and went back into your customer service role at the switch of a hat. "Would you like some recommendations?"
Nina was sadden, she had found your ramble to be quite cute if she was being honest with herself. She wondered why it seemed as if you hadn't been properly taken care to, anyone who jumped at the chance to have human interaction that wasn't fake was obviously not well taken care of. Maybe she hoped she could be that person for you.
Saints Zenik, at least ask them out to dinner first!
"When do you get off." She blurted out.
"What?"
"When do you get off work, I would like to take you… to this waffle house."
A small smile slipped on your face. "Unfortunately I can't take up your offer today."
Nina visibly deflated, as if now all her hopes are gone and her body had to compensate for it.
"But if you can catch me at tomorrow at three, then you might just get lucky."
Nina grinned and thought, perhaps you had just made this terrible day so much better than she had planned.

"In vain I have struggled, it will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you." — Jane Austen, pride and prejudice
x
Rebecca Bryant's case closed — it was her own father with mental problems, you guessed right yet not even knowing his name yet.
P911 case closed - you guessed it right again, it was the supposed father's boy, you thought to yourself, how could a "dad" sell his baby? After this case, you went to the gym and punched uncountable times.
The perfect storm - oh honey! You're the one that couldn't stop cross-looking at the blonde girl, she was BAU unsub, they've let her alone, you talked with Spencer and for less than minutes he linked the dots and told the others who were their dominant, you went for the loo but in a blink of an eye, she ran away this was the same time everyone went crazy. You guessed it right, again.
"So how did you do it? Right about our unsub?"-Hotch questioned and you were all smiley.
"She didn't even was bothered by the victim's pictures behind her and was always looking at her husband, a demanding staring if she was afraid of him after he beat her ass up, she would be trembling and she wasn't."
"That's my child.-Morgan hugged you by the side shoulders making you laugh.
"Doctor Reid will be jealous, that you called me child while it's you who calls him kid".
"Nah, I have now a couple of nerds prodigious kids"
...
When you were left alone with Reid in a room, he seemed stressed as usual as he was thinking about something due to his stressing thoughts.
"What's up to your mind, jealous of me becoming also Morgan's kid? Don't be, I'm a girl and I'll never be the wandering Wikipedia"
"What? No no! Ain't about any of it, but about just one thing, you got the answer before me and nobody agreed on that, even though I should have, sorry."-he awkwardly says.
"No need of any of this mate, but I know you have another doubt, go on."
"It was your paranoia again saying to not believe the supposed victim because of the bruise on her face?"-You chuckle agreeing with his statement.
"Woah, you know me well, yes, we can't just believe in someone just because appears to us as a lost little lamb, but she knew damn well what she was doing, so what's the answer to our riddle today?"
"Beware of a wolf in sheep's clothing – Aesop and Matthew 7:15"-you playfully blinked at him.
"Right, and...?"
"Believe in y/n paranoia, she's 99% right, 1% just in case of minimum doubt"
"That's what friends are for."-you give him a sheepishly grin hugging him givi around his chest, getting him in shock, he didn't hugged ye back, you didn't care at all, the hug sustained for les than 1min.-"Betta go".
And you left him in the room with an astonished state.
Psychodrama case closed – and you nailed it again, although they took time to believe in you, people were killed but now case solved and others survived.
The aftermath – You hates this with all of your heart, you saw agent Elle suffering and you couldn't do anything, you even talked with Morgan and Garcia "She's not right, there's something inside her mind..", yet they told you she would be okay.
Your paranoia disagreed, then you talked alone with Spencer about Elle and he confessed he spoke alone with Elle and he agrees with ye, she wasn't in her right mind, however his statement you told him "No, she's not only at her good mental state Spence, she's hurt, she has a recent wound that hasn't been healed yet, she's traumatised and within this case, she'll have a burnout, she's... Please, I know that everybody doubt and she fake it right, but she can't trick me, I find hard to stare through people's eye, but Elle, I saw something, an anger misty filled with thunderous fear".
No sooner said than done, Elle left without saying goodbye, well, she sent to you a letter explained everything and even apologise for not being able to come, hug you and say goodbye, it would be harder for her if she saw the team.
The Boogeyman case closed – After finding the dairy products inside the refrigerator, the magic lamp above your head popped up like magic. It isn't an adult due to the EpPen found on the table, that person also didn't eat its spinach which you thought to yourself:"only a child would ignore its vegetables, I'd do the same", plus with a clue what you guys found inside the refrigerator, someone else is lactose intolerant and must be..A child, a boy It's a checkmate, you ran to warn the others, Spencer, Gideon and Morgan, but when you walked in Gideon left to attend a call with Hotchner and Spencer was talking with Morgan about Elle, their talk back in Ohio, you knew it.
Now you four were talking about your fears, you laughed when Spencer answers came and you also didn't even flinched with JJ story, you did not believed making her roll her eyes. Then it was your time to tell, what are you fears? What are you afraid about? You answered unbothered:- Dying alone, without no one caring about your death, simple and honest.
Morgan hugged you by your side denying it:-"Oh poor kid! Don't ever think about it."
Spencer says:-"I wouldn't let you, we, we wouldn't let you die alone I-I mean, we care, then it will never happen."— JJ grins sneaky towards Morgan:-"Oh yeah, don't ever think about this, if you died, I think someone would have an heart attack."-Morgan understood her leave, Garcia called so the subject was substituted for another. JJ left the room, so you quickly sat next to Spencer and muttered while Morgan was on his call:–"What do you think? Who's our unsub?"-He look at your face, making you hold off averting his gaze.–"Do you have one already?"-he smiles.—"Yeah, I think...It's a kid, not a grown up man".
Spencer seems so chill about it:-I don't doubt you, but let's Morgan finish his call and tell him what you think.
–Do you really think he will.. Believe me? When I always say my guess, the team always tell me to hold on until we've got all the right clues and answers.
– I do, I do believe in you, your guesses lead my way of thinking, you let the knots freely flying on the air and then I...-Morgan interrupts Spencer.
–Call Gideon, we just found our unsub.-Morgan glares is darker.
So you all take your leave, you're the one calling Gideon, Spencer asks who's the unsub.
– The school counselor, right above my nose, were heading to his house.
Then Spencer realised, when Morgan arrest the unSub, he might not be the one, his son, easy to way to win the other children trust.
The following step you guys catched the school counselor, he had the red cap in his hold, yet you stood with your mindset, checkmate baby, it isn't the father, its his son and you guys would waste time with his interrogation.
You were around a corner thinking about your team next move, when you tried to alert 'em they were already wasting their time with the father, you didn't wanted to bother Gideon's call, Morgan was in the interrogation room, when JJ appeared all worried followed by Spencer, okay, a hint of jealousy.
– The boy never went to school.
Ok, now you'll leave, you'll bring your dog, Nala and in this case you begged Hotch to bring it with you, right decision girl.
Before your leave, Spencer holds your wrist.
–Where are you going??-he quickly says with a curious and worried countenance.
–Find them, you can they the others, I heard about the school bus route, I'll just bring something or..-you widen your smile.- Someone, I'll catch you up.
– Can I go with...-Gideon call you two, Spencer grunts letting go of your wrist gently.–Go on, I'll tell him.
– You deserve another hug.-you leave him without thinking twice, you did not saw his face but his cheeks were reddening.
So as you thought you all were at the playground, Nala was with you and after finding a girl's backpack, Nala smelled it you guys waste no time running after your girl, from a distance with wide eyes the ginger boy was ready to whack the girl with a baseball bat!
Thanks god your dog jumped right at the boy's hand that holds the bat.
–Nala!-your dog is unwilling to let go of the boy arm,
if wasn't for Gideon's hold, for godforsaken, the boy wouldn't have his right hand anymore.
The little girl hops on your arms, gripping hands tightening around your shoulders and neck, she was scared to death. You gently pat her backs.
Nala right next to ye leg, sitting as a well behaved princess.
The Boogeyman case is closed. Unfortunately Spencer and all your teammates seems sad, its about Elle, and you heard Morgan giving Spence a advice also heard Gideon's call with Hotchner, Elle did mot admitted anything and you mentally agreed with Elle actions, might be wrong? According to this country laws, yes, according with your humans being guts? No.
After all this mess, you're with your dog at home when you hear a knock-knock.
You did not open, until Reid voice came out.
– It's me, It's Spencer Reid, Doctor Spencer Reid and I work at BAU with you, you told me we're best friends.- he means "best-friends" with a strange tone, hm. You open the door.
– Come in please, you know, if you weren't Spencer, Nala would jump on you and destroy your pretty face, is momma wrong sweetie?-you say the last part with a baby talk tone, making Spencer smile, Nala barked as a reply.-Told ya.-you close the door.– So, why such illustrious presence is doing at my house, to whom do I owe the honour? Did Gideon or Hotchner send you to warn me to not bring Nala into anymore cases?
– Oh no, otherwise, they're okay with Nala and she did a great work, besides the bite, a win is a win,but hm, you know, I'm not here for this.-he wags his hands that were carrying supermarket bags, he bought and brought things, but for what reason?
Straight to the epidural point, he's here because he wanted to see you again, since the last visit he wasn't able to come any longer thanks to BAU's cases, an alert and all of you need to leave your houses and fly away to wherever you need.
Howbeit he wouldn't tell the truth reason of his visit.
– What are those?
– Food?-he says with a confused look, which makes you grin.
– Okay, but for what? It's past dinnertime and I see that you're, how can I tell..-you stare with no shame at his figure.-You don't seem to eat much, mainly at night.
He scoffs at your statement, seriously, are you profiling him right now?
– Aren't you profiling me, are you?-He puts the bags on your isle kitchen table with only two seats, he notices that you ain't a huge fan of inviting people in, he can't really judge your.
– Sorry not sorry.-you follow him standing by his side with curious eyes.– What have you bought?
– Hm, coffee bags, noodles, two sodas, chips and yogurt, I didn't bought any ice cream because the distance from the supermarket until your house would melt it
–Thanks, but you will eat all these snacks with me? Right?
– Sure, if I weren't I wouldn't brought a pair and...- be says naturally, you snoop inside the bag and see a good dog brand of treats.- Sorry if it sounded rude.-you wave your hand denying with a smile.
– Nah, it's okay, nothing against the literal obviousness.-he doesn't know where else to look, besides your face, people in his university class would ignore him as soon as he open his mouth, he's not used to it, kindliness.-Go on mate, we've been in a hurry all these days with sleep deprivation and lack of basic nourishment, I can't even believe all of us don't eat what is sustainable, so when I'm back home I make sure to cook my dinner and packed lunch for the next day if we don't get a call for the next case outside town, obviously.-woah, while you were speaking out your mind he's amazed, so you know how to cook and care for everybody health, that's the reason why you leave on everybody's table a coffee or tea plus a treat, before the Boogeyman case you left on his table a brownie.
His forearm was bolstering on the table in front of you while his eyes were upon focusing on you, yo unlike you, you couldn't stand eye contact from more than seconds, but the entire talking his eyes landed on you.
– So... That's why you put on our tables coffee and treats? Even on Gideon's and Hotchner's.-you feel your cheeks warm-up, you thought coming 30min early before everyone arrivals, so they didn't knew that was you doing it.
– How do you know it?
– We're profilers, everybody knows but they made me promise I wouldn't tell so you could still surprising us.
– Wow, when you say like this, make me feel ashamed of meself.-you laugh uncomfortably, but not in a bad way.
But he doesn't know it.
– No no, we like it, I mean.. -he panics shaking negatively his hands.-I like, don't stop with it, but I'd like you to show up, I know when you come earlier than us, even over me, you don't sleep well.-you finally breath soon opening a smile.
– Okay, I'll make sure to take your advice, then let's stop talking and let's eat.
He awkwardly agrees while rubbing his scruff.
[Break time]
00h21a.m
You were laughing all giggly while he was explaining you with all of his patient about scientific facts even when you were making dumb designed question just to make him talk more and more about stuff that makes him comfortable around you and happy.
– Okay okay, now you understood how the suppose fire we see coming from the sun is not really fire.
– Yeah, because in space there's no oxygen and within it, fire cannot be produced, sun is made up of hydrogen arpund 70% and 28% of helium. Carbon, nitrogen and oxygen make up 1.5% and the other 0.5% iiisss..-much information, too much and with a pout on your face he continues.
–Is made up of small amounts of many other elements like neon, iron, silicon, magnesium and sulfur.-he proudly smiles.
– You know I might forget it soon, don't you?-he eat his yogurt while shaking positively his head.
–And I'll remind you of it.
One o'clock a.m
You didn't let Spencer get out of your house at this hour, it's not even a possibility.
– You stay here tonight till we left to go to work and don't make up any excuses.
– I wasn't going to though.-he leaves his guard down while having a wide smile, which makes you giggle awkwardly.
– Okey dokey, I wasn't waiting for it... I'll bring you a pillow, a soft blanket and when you wake up, you don't need to leave as soon as you wake up, there's an extra toothbrush and after this you can go.
– Is this an order?-He stands up with his hands on his hips.
– Yes and no! No because I can't control you and yes because I'm just saying because isn't safe to walk past home at this hour, as far as I can reckon, you're a FBI agent, then yup, you can't leave, not now.
– though I wasn't going anyway but you gave me more reasons to stay.-he shows off a smirk
This silly danny boy.
[On the next morning]
08h11 a.m
Nala sniffs Reid's face waking him up, in a huff he complains while getting up, when he headed to the loo he sees you getting out with loosen hair but all already brushed, yet his eyes automatically landed on your chest, you weren't wearing a bra, what is wrong with him, why does his stomach churns when you're around? Not in a bad way, but in a good...
–Spencer? Spencer Reid??? Reeid? Earth calling Spencer Reid!?-you snap him out of his mind.
– What, What happened?
– Nothing, you just stared at me, do I have something on my face?-you suggest and he quickly denies.
– No no, I just, I'm just sleppy, sorry, can I use the bathroom?
– Sure, I'll make us breakfast before you go to your house and change clothes.
He agrees only moving his head getting inside, Jesus Christ, "did she noticed, that I wasn't staring at her pretty face yet her other beautiful pair of eyes?" Spencer needed to wash his face so he could fully wakes up.
You're not dumb, you noticed, however you wouldn't say a thing, you changed clothes and tied your hair.
Acouple of minutes after the coffee and the rest of the breakfast fast is set on the table, Spencer come out wearing his clothes, opening a shy smile.
– I could smell everything from the loo and you didn't burnt anything.
– So you thought I would burn everything?
– Not exactly, I mean...
– To tell you the truth, my first period living alone I did burnt things without mom or grandma tutoring me, but now I'm a good chief.
– Sure you do, the smell is hella good.-you ended laughing.
– Hella good? I think me and Morgan are an awful influence on you,
– Don't think I'm all saint, I reas a lot of books.-you give him a cocky smirk.
– Oh fine, I can't forget that ma boy isn't naive, he kissed an actress months ago and I still waiting my Prince on a dark horse will come.
Idiot, why did you said that? What you meant with it? When he told you this and what he said Morgan told him right after, you kind not liked it, yet you hide this feeling pretty well. Spencer seemed surprised by your statement, he notices your body language change.
– Hmm, yeah, you know, I thought my "first" kiss would be special, but it wasn't, but when I kiss someone else in the future again, I hope that time will be with a special, smart, kind and funny person.
Well, you're all this, but too naive to understand he LITERALLY dropped a straight hint towards you, heaven help the fool who falls in love but can't show it properly.
–But why the Prince on a dark horse and not a white one, as usual?
– Because of it, I want something unusual, different yet magical, the life we are living is not simple, it's tough and dangerous, so I'd like to someone, somehow, become my only special place, when I feel fear, happy, sad and even angry so I'd run to his arm's and when he holds me I can..-he complete your sentence.
– Feel safe.-he says with a tender-hearted tone, as his heart and mind spoke by itselves and you shyly open a wide grin.
– Yeah, now you understood why, what do you think about it?
– I just can think that your mind is unbelievable as your skill while we're working.- what he really wanted to say is: "I'd like someone like that too, so when I have nightmares, this person would be my refuge, you amazes me."
[Break time]
North mammon case closed - since Elle left BAU, Hotchner started putting you to work with him and Morgan, you didn't complained, but you wanted to be set with Spencer as you used to be with, however when Aaron Hotchner say it's an order.
Nevertheless Spencer was not pleased, sometimes he'd ask to Gideon:-"Will agent y/n come with us?" then when a no is following by, he's not happy and it didn't go unoticed by neither Morgan, JJ and Garcia. Morgan would slip sometimes to Garcia "The boy does a funny face when Hotch says y/n will work in camp with me, babygirl, I'm starting to think he might be fond of her, what do you think?" And she would say:-" I dunno, you know, he sees like a person that don't enjoy abruptly changes, they're the same age and intelligent as well, he found someone like him". Morgan:–"That what I'm saying, doll, she's the other half of his orange, they match!". Garcia would laugh:–"Do you wanna bet?"–"Woman, my money's is on them."
Empty planet – Yeah, Spencer is different(than his usually difference)the atmosphere when you're near each other when coming forth and back cases is juat like chalk and cheese. He either calm or super spirited while solving profiles, then when you're paired withour each other company he is all centred and reticent, not mentioning when he's worried when you have to run alongside Morgan chasing mad killers, offenders and suspects.
The last word – when the killer of women came inside the BAU department aiming at a police colleague everybody draw out their guns, however you were pulled behind Spencer by himself, not even managing to draw your gun, he pulled you behind him as if it was possible to protect both of you, since you were next to a pillar, you were taken by surprise and your face stupefied was, you were ready to say something about this action but his hand in front of your body almost touching your arm to stay behind him shush ye.
Glad that Morgan were able to stop the unsub and save the police officer.
Spencer is relieved that nobody got hurt, he now turns his feet to you.
–Are you okay?-and you just confirm with a head wave.
– Thanks for being my "wall" protector, but I'd be the one protecting your arse, since I'm with a gun and you don't have one.-you laugh at his petty defensive face.
– Someone has been told to me to just believe sometimes in your guts even if they sound unbelievable.-you scoff giving him a tap on his arm.
– I was there when it was spoken.-he got the reference (obs: The lion, the witch and the wardrobe).
– What do you think, after we put these men behind bars, do you mind going with me to grab a coffee and brownies?
– Without hesitation, payment is on you.
Would it be funny if you were the one that fell first but he fell harder?
The first time you saw and listened to what Dr.Spencer Reid had to say, you already fell for him, but what about him? Should he feel the same?
