taeil
the members sit around in the practice room debating on where to eat
“ yo let’s just order food” doyoung says as the group continues to discuss their food options
taeil then looks at his phone immediately getting up and getting his things ready to leave
“ hyung you’re not eating with us?” haechan asks
“ n-no i have somewhere to be” taeil stutters
“ where are you going?” doyoung asks but before he could finish his sentence taeil is out the door
quickly washing up and putting on a nice outfit he heads over to your place as you two go to the restaurant that you and him had planned on going
“ hello, do you have a reservation with us?” the host asked as jazz music played softly in the background
“ yeah it should be under moon taeil”
the host types his name into the computer as she furrows her brows
“ um sir, i have a reservation for the same time next week but nothing is coming up for today” the host says
you look at taeil as he stands there confused
“ what? i swear i made a reservation for tonight” he pulls out his phone to verify
“ oh my god i accidentally scheduled it for next week” he sighs as his shoulders slump
“ i’m sorry sir but we are all booked out for right now, if you give me your phone number i can call you if any reservations get cancelled but there’s a waiting list on that as well” the host explains
taeil felt defeated, he knew how much you wanted to eat at this restaurant, you had been talking about it for weeks
he looks to you as if he’s asking what you want to do
“ that’s alright, it’s no problem we’ll go somewhere else, you can cancel the reservation for next week too please, have a good night ” you say politely
taeil follows you out of the restaurant moping
“ babe i’m so sorry, i made that reservation after practice last week, i so tired i was out of it” taeil tries to apologize
“ awe taeil don’t feel bad it’s okay, honestly that place looked too fancy for me. what would you like to eat? i don’t mind at this point anything sounds good to me” you laugh
you’re always such a good sport in every situation, that’s one thing taeil loves so much about you, he can see right through you though, the restaurant wasn’t “too fancy” for you, you said that just to make him feel better.
“ let’s keep walking and see what else is around here” he suggests
and that’s how you ended up at a family owned korean barbecue place
sitting down at the table both of you already knowing what you want since you’ve been there more times than you can count
“ i’m sorry babe really”
“ taeil sweetheart it’s okay i swear ”
“ i’ll make it up to you tonight” he winks
“ oh come on don’t be all suggestive in the middle of a k- barbecue place please” you laugh
the food quickly arrives as you both start eating, conversations quickly become silent due to the both of you focusing so heavily on the food in front of you
hearing the front door chime neither of you notice that a mark, haechan, johnny, taeyong and doyoung walk through the door
“ holy shit is that taeil and y/n” mark says
“ dude shut up” johnny smacks his arm
spying on the two of you they see you laughing at him as you use your napkin to wipe sauce off his face before quickly kissing his lips
“ no way” the members gasp before shuffling one by one out the door
“ dude they’re on a date” mark says
“ yeah no shit” johnny replies
haechan laughs as he seems to be typing something on this phone and then putting in his back pocket walking away from the restaurant window
everyone’s phone buzzes moments later as they open the message sent to the group chat
a picture capturing you and taeils kiss that had just happened in the restaurant was sent with a message underneath stating “ you two have something to tell us?”
you and taeil pick up your phones at the same time before you eyes widen at the message
“ how did he even-” you begin to say
“ man i get any privacy around here” taeil laughs slightly
“ we have stalkers and their name is lee donghyuck” you roll your eyes laughing
johnny:
the last time you had talked to johnny was moments ago ending with him saying he was on his way home from practice, quickly you drove over to his place, putting on the lingerie set he bought you last week, setting up your sex playlist to the bluetooth speaker and dimming the lights while some candles around the room burn
you wanted to do something nice for johnny due to how hard he has been working with comeback and promotions, you’ve noticed his mood was more drained than usual this week , so you being the amazing girlfriend you are, you decided to do something special for him tonight
as you hear the door open you situate yourself on his bed, laying in a very revealing position there wasn’t much left to the imagination with the lingerie set you had on
swinging the door open a sweaty jaehyun appeared in the doorway
both taking a second to realize what’s happening you quickly scream pulling a blanket over yourself
“ holy shit..fuck, i’m so sorry” jaehyun yells covering his eyes trying to find the doorknob before practically running out of the room
it doesn’t take long for johnny to come into the room after hearing the commotion
“ y/n what is goi-” johnny stops mid sentence putting two into together
“ oh my god” he can’t help but laugh at your mortified state
“ john stop laughing, my pussy was quite literally in jaehyuns face” you shove your face into the pillow
he catches his breath before opening his mouth again
“ at least it wasn’t mark, he would’ve cum in his pants right then and there”
you shove him off of you as he tries to pull you into a hug
“ i’m never surprising you again” you say as your face remains red
after putting on decent clothes you go out to the living room meeting face to face with jaehyun who is sitting at the kitchen table
“ i’m so sorry” you say
“ no i’m sorry” he laughs it off
“ ouuu your eyes are so red” johnny laughs pointing to jaehyuns ears
“ dude can you blame me, i just saw a naked woman right in front of me”
“ my naked woman” johnny kisses your lips
“ when the fuck did you two get together and why was i not informed?” jaehyun asks
“ i mean technically we’re not together” you say
“ yet” johnny adds
jaehyun rests his head in his arms before looking up at the two of you
“ im sorry i ruined your sex plans, never would i think to be the one cockblocking” jaehyun gets up as he heads to the front door
“ no one speaks a word of what happened” he says as you and johnny agree
“ wait what happened?” johnny says trying to be funny
jaehyun scoffs before walking out of the door leaving you and johnny alone at last
“ well that was fun” johnny lightens the mood
by the look on your face he can tell you were genuinely upset
“ hey it’s okay, i’m sorry this happened baby but i had no idea you would be here especially basically naked” he coos
you look to the ground
“ i just wanted to do something special for you since you’ve been working really hard”
“ let’s do a redo okay?” he says before letting you scurry back to the bedroom as he walks out of his apartment waiting to walk right back through the door on your command
taeyong:
you haven’t heard much from taeyong today, he must have been super busy with work, that was until a “ you up?” text message popped up on your screen
you knew exactly what that meant
and as much as you wanted to deny it, you wanted it too
answering him quickly he tells you to join him in the studio
getting ready didn’t take long considering the clothes you wore to his studio were going to get stripped off of you in the matter of seconds once you got there.
and you were right
walking through the door you saw taeyong his headphones on nodding his head to the beat of the music
walking behind him you placed your hands on his shoulders causing him to slightly jump
“ geez you scared me, at least text me letting me know you’re here” he says
“ sorry i didn’t think about it” you pout
“ oh don’t pout sweet girl i was only joking” he stands up giving you a big hug
he sits down in his hair again but this time pulling you into his lap along with him
it doesn’t take long for you both to become touchy with each other, you kissed his neck as he moves his hands up and down your back
slightly grinding into his clothed cock he begins to whine
taeyong pulls your face up to look at him before he smashes his lips onto yours
“ tae i need you” you plead
he stands up placing you onto the desk before taking your shirt off while sucking on your tits
“ oh my god” you moan as he flips your skirt up moving your underwear to the side and entering his fingers into your pussy
through your loud moans you couldn’t hear anything else around you
not even the door opening as johnny stands there in the doorway
“ jesus christ where’s the decorum” johnny says gaining both of your attention
you quickly scramble off of eachother pulling your shirt and skirt down
“ since when were you two fucking” johnny asks
“ for a while man, what do you need?” taeyong
johnny stands there a second before answering
“ honestly i dont remember, continue whatever your doing i guess but next time for the love of god.. lock the door” he says before leaving
yuta:
the night was getting later and later as the music played and the members all drunkenly sang along to it
you were hanging out with the members as you usually do, perks of being johnnys best friend
but tonight everyone had way too much to drink and no one’s thoughts were clear
“ let’s play a game” jungwoo suggests
everyone agreed on two truths and a lie
everyone expect yuta.
at first the topics were lame, things such as blacking out before and smoking weed were mentioned but as the game progressed things became a lot more interesting
“ okay umm, i once threw up in johnnys shoe because i was so drunk, i almost accidentally posted a video of me jerking off on bubble and i hooked up with y/n before” haechan says
you immediately looked to haechan and then to yuta
“ oh come on man that’s so easy, we all know you didn’t fuck y/n” mark says
everyone agrees with mark
“ okay fine you’re right that didn’t happen but shit i wish it would’ve” haechan says slurring his words
you can tell that yuta wants nothing more than to bash haechans head in right now
you look to yuta giving him “ it’s okay calm down” look
“ dude i know like she’s so fine” taeyong agrees with haechan
“ i bet her pussy is just as pretty as she is” jaehyun says as he palms the boner in his pants that had occurred due to the topic of you
yutas face is red with anger as he tries his best not to say anything but as he notices all of their hungry eyes on you and jaehyun nearly stroking his clothed dick at the thought of fucking you made yuta snap
“ you guys realize she’s right here, she can hear everything you guys saying, you don’t think that’s completely disgusting” yuta stands up
“ yuta stop” you say trying to calm him down
“ no” he pulls his arm away from you
“the fact that you all can sit here and say those things about my girlfriend when i’m right here is fucking disrespectful, you’re lucky if i don’t beat the shit out of you”
the room goes silent
“ girlfriend?” haechan says completely out of it
“ bro we didn’t know you were dating” jaehyun defends
“ it doesn’t fucking matter whether we are or not it’s so wrong in so many ways to sit here and sexualize her like that” yuta gets up and walks out the front door
you run chasing after him
finally catching up with him you pull his arm so he is facing you
wrapping your arms around him you give him a hug before kissing his lips
“ thank you for doing that babe, really i love you so much” you say
“ you shouldn’t thank me, i didn’t do that just because im your boyfriend you know, i would’ve done it either way”
“ i know, but im grateful for you sticking up for me, i know they’re just drunk and horny but you’re right it doesn’t feel good to be talked about like an object” you place your head into his chest
“ don’t worry about me exposing our relationship, none of them will remember anything from tonight” he says raking his hands through your hair”
“ i don’t care anymore i want everyone to know that we’re together” you say looking up to him
he kisses your lips once more “ lets go back inside im sure they’re all passed out by now” he says leading you back into the dorm
doyoung:
“ does anyone know where my game controller went” haechan shouts as he looks all over the dorms
“ i dont know the last time you had it was when we played with doyoung in his room” marks says
haechan makes his way to doyoungs room, he knew it was wrong to look through doyoung stuff but he really needed his game controller
looking through some of the drawers he still hasn’t found it
pulling out another drawer haechan notices something, amongst the boxers taking up space in the drawer there was a pink lace thong sitting in it as well
“ what the fuck” haechan says closing the drawer
opening up the next one which he had to pull extra hard on for it to open sits a bunch of polaroid pictures, haechan can’t help but pick the pictures up
the imagines showed you sprawled out on his bed naked
haechans eyes widen as he realize that it is you in the photos
“ he’s fucking y/n?”
haechan closes the drawer before leaving the room
as he exits doyoung room he meets face to face with you
“ y/n um hi, what are you doing here” haechan turns bright red
“ i’m here to return this” you say handing him his controller “ i accidentally grabbed yours instead of mine” you laugh
“ oh thanks i was just looking for it in doyoungs room” he says
looking down at the obvious tent in his pants
his eyes widen looking back to you as you can’t help but laugh at the poor boys state
“ im guessing you opened a certain one of doyoungs drawers” you say
his face becomes red as he scratches the back of his neck
“ i was just looking for the controller” he stutters
“ it’s okay hyuck don’t be embarrassed, i told him to put a lock on it or something, how about we don’t tell anyone about this though huh? it’s our little secret” you say
“ yeah um of course” he replies
before haechan could go back to his room doyoung walks through the door
“ hey y/n” he says leaving soft lingering touches on your body
usually this would go unnoticed by haechan but after what he found out today he was picking up on all the little signs
“ what’s wrong with you, you look like you saw a ghost” doyoung asks haechan as they stand in the hallway
“ oh um. nothing..” haechan says pushing past you both to return to his room
“ he looked nervous” doyoung says looking to you
“ i don’t know maybe he saw something he shouldn’t have” you mumble
“ huh” doyoung furrows his eyebrows not hearing what you said
“ oh i said it’s probably nothing, let’s go lay down” you say smirking as you pull him into his room
jaehyun:
jaehyun had just come back from tour but with the members constantly being home there was no way for you two to have any alone time, it was torture for the both of you to be in a room together and not be able to fuck.. let alone look at each other for too long but today the members all had solo schedules so jaehyun took that as his time to spend alone with you
“ where is everyone” you ask as you walk into dorm
“ they’re still out doing schedules, mine ended earlier than everyone else’s” he said
you walk past him putting your belongings in his room before he follows you like a lost puppy
“ baby you’re really not going to give me a kiss” he pouts
you and jaehyun never used to get along, although being close with most of the members you and jaehyun seemed to clash heads more than anyone else
you both fought a lot and would act very petty towards each other often times whispering things under your breath to each other but loud enough for everyone to hear
as time went on you both realized that you didn’t hate each other in fact it was the complete opposite, maybe it was the immense sexual tension between you two that made you act bratty towards one another but you soon realized that instead your so called hate turned into lust and that lust eventually turned into love
as you both got deeper into your “ situationship” you realized there were real feelings involved and so did he
you love jaehyun and jaehyun loves you
it was something that you both weren’t shy to open up about with each other
that’s how you two ended up confessing to each other one night a few months ago which led to a relationship that was kept a secret from everyone, for now just enjoying each other company with no one involved in your business
“ oh my poor boy” you walk up to him giving him a big hug and kiss
you spent most of evening watching movies together and simply enjoying being in eachothers arms
“i’m getting something to drink” you declare walking into the kitchen as jaehyun follows you
grabbing a cup from the cabinet you fill it water before chugging it
“ damn babe you were thirsty” he smerks
you give him a weird look as you place your cup into the sink
“ im thirsty too but not for water” he whispers kissing on your neck
turning you around he smashes his lips onto yours
feeling yourself getting wet at his actions you moan into the kiss
jaehyun picks you up placing you on the edge of the kitchen counter
standing in between your legs he flips your shirt up and pulling your bra down latching his lips onto your tits
trailing kisses down your body, leaving marks where no one else would see them he stops at your heat
kissing you clothed pussy he takes your shorts off along with your underwear
spreading your legs he kneels down pulling you closer to his face so that your pussy is eye level to him
leaving soft kisses and marks on the inside of your thighs before licking a stripe down your heat
completely diving into your pussy causing you to let out a loud moan
he chuckles in between your legs sending vibrations throughout your entire body
sucking on your clit you grab onto his hair arching your back
“ fuck jaehyun it feels so good” you moan
being caught up in the moment you didn’t hear the key turning in the door, as the door opens a loud voice echoed the wall
“ yo what the fuck” mark says turning around
you and jaehyun separate immediately gathering your clothes before putting them on once you are decent mark turns back around staring at the two of you, his face is bright red
“ really man on the kitchen counter, i made my breakfast there this morning” mark groans in annoyance
jaehyun can’t help but laugh
“ im so confused dude, i thought you hated eachother why did i just walk in on you devouring her” mark asks
“ i dont know man i was hungry” jaehyun cracks a joke, mark stares at him straight faced
jaehyun lets out a sigh
“ we’re dating” you spit out
jaehyun give you a quick glance before backing you up
“ wait a minute, dating in like?” mark tries to wrap his head around what you’re telling him
“ dating as in im his girlfriend and he’s my boyfriend” you explain like you’re talking to a child
“ so you don’t hate each other?”
“ no mark obviously we don’t”
“ so it was just an act?”
“ partly, we didn’t get along the best in the beginning but it was really just us having mad sexual tension, as the two of us closer we realized we just needed to have really good sex with each other and then boom we fell in love”
mark looks to for verification
“ yeah i guess you can say that’s what happened” you chuckle
“ could you not tell anyone about us yet, we don’t exactly want anyone to know we’re a couple at least for right now” you ask mark
“ yeah of course your secret is safe with me, im too tired for this, im glad yall are together now or whatever but if you don’t want anyone else finding out about you two i suggest not eating her out on the kitchen counter, im never touching that damn thing again” mark says walking into his room
“ dont worry ill clean it” jaehyun yells to him
“ come on babe let’s take this too the room” jaehyun picks you up kissing your face all over
jungwoo:
jungwoo had been on tour for a few weeks now, finally getting back to the hotel from their show that they had just preformed
after washing up and ordering food with mark whom he is sharing the room with, jungwoo got ready for bed and eventually fell fast asleep
“y/n” jungwoo moans in his sleep causing mark to stir awake
mark looks to jungwoo confused as he sees his passive state laying his head pack onto the pillow only to lift it up again when jungwoo begins whimpering
at first mark thought jungwoo was having a nightmare until he turned on a dim light seeing jungwoo erection in his pants and strings of moans leaving his mouth along with your name
“ fuck y/n your pussy feels so good baby” he whimpers subconsciously
“ oh you’ve got to be joking, why me” mark sighs debating on if he should wake him or not
mark turned off the light and placed a pillow over his head to drown out the noise
jungwoo began to trust his hips into a pillow he was once innocently holding
jungwoo sprung awake as soon as he felt himself releasing into his boxers
it took a few seconds to realize what was going on
“ oh fuck” jungwoo curses at the mess he made in his pants
getting up he grabs new boxers and shorts out of his suitcase before heading to the bathroom to wash up
mark sits up as jungwoo comes back from the bathroom
“ had a good dream huh” mark smerks
jungwoo just sighs as he lays back down in bed
“ so you and y/n, are fucking” mark asks
junwoo shot up looking at mark
“ huh? what? what makes you say that” jungwoo says frantically
“ oh i don’t know man, maybe because you were moaning her name and saying how good her pussy feels while humping into a pillow” mark laughs
“ shit”
“ hey dude it’s cool, we’ve all had wet dreams before i sure as hell had my fair share of them” mark says
jungwoo takes a deep breath
“ yeah we’re fucking around with eachother, but she doesn’t want anyone to know, she’d kill me if she knew that you found out”
“ don’t worry about i won’t say anything, i’m glad your getting some finally” mark jokes
“ shut up bro” jungwoo throws a pillow at mark
“ oh he’ll nah that’s the pillow you were thrusting” mark shrieks kicking it off the bed
“ goodnight jungwoo, don’t wake me up again with your obnoxious moaning and shit”

Author note: got horny and accidentally vomit out 4k words of leon fucking you. sorry, it's just the girl tendencies in me. read the tags to know what to expect!!! 🤍
mature contents below the cut. mdni.
Tumblr media
Leon needed some sort of a quick stress reliever.
His knuckles gradually turned white as he tightly gripped his steering wheel. His chin leaning on his other hand, the faint buzzing noise from the radio accompanied by his soft breathing was the only company he had. Leon had debated with himself, a part of him missed his bed like crazy, all he wanted to do was bury his body between the soft cushions and dozed off into a long, serene slumber. But a part of him itches for something. He needed a drink, anything to get that surge of dopamine in his body. Need the familiar bile taste to settle in his mouth as he chugs it down his throat, letting it burn his chest.
Leon Scott Kennedy needs some alcohol in his system. Desperately.
Running his gloved fingers thru his damp hair, Leon let out a soft chuckle upon seeing a bar from afar, almost as if his desperate plea was answered by God himself. Its neon sign flashing OPEN 24/7 in bright red LED lights, he could see a few drunkards already passing out on the sidewalk, holding onto their beer bottles before he parked his car around the corner. Putting his car keys in his pocket, Leon budged open the door of the bar, greeted by the sound of the bell atop the door chimes. The heavy scent of tobacco, hard liquor and sweat was evident as it clings to the air— not to mention the odour of sex grows stronger and pungent as he goes even deeper into the crowds to reach the counter.
Leon finds himself a seat on one of the stools, an exasperated sigh leaving his lips before the feeling of someone standing over him crept onto him. He lifted his face, sparing a small, tired smile at you as you returned with a polite one.
‘Cute,’ He thought.
“You look tired, want me to fix you up with something?” You raised your voice a little, making sure he can hear you amid the blasting music as you leaned closer to him, Leon got a slight whiff of your refreshing, floral perfume. It was pleasant, a stark contrast from the stench that the bar seemed to be festering with. You were pretty, clad in a black blouse with your sleeves rolled to your elbow, a beige apron wrapping around your waist as you pressed your hands on the counter with a bright smile on your face.
“Just a shot of Vodka, please,” Leon replied, his eyes remaining trained on your face. You give his request a firm nod, turning your back to Leon as he watches you step on a stool before reaching for the bottle of Vodka on the top shelf.
“Need some help there?” Leon teased, a soft chuckle emitted from him as you rolled your eyes teasingly. “Thanks, but no thanks.” You replied to him, getting off the stool before you turned to face him again.
Putting the shot glass in front of him before you pour the Vodka in, making sure not to overflow the shot glass. “Thank you, pretty girl.” He whispered, his voice dropping an octave lower before you flash him a grin, your cheeks heating up before you remain your composure.
“Anytime, handsome.”
Sure, you’ve been flirted by your customers before. Mostly by married older men who're too drunk to even form a proper sentence, easing you into coming back home with them and they’ll show you a great time. You wouldn’t be too phased with it, assuming it was just the liquor talking— but this? This was different.
Somehow hearing this attractive man you have never seen before calling you a pretty girl sent heat coursing up your cheeks. Maybe it’s his looks or his voice, or the fact that you hadn’t been able to fuck for weeks since you were too busy with bartending and college classes hence you being fairly sexually frustrated but you paid extra attention to him.
Not that he’s complaining, Leon’s not the type to turn a lady’s attention away from him.
“You’re new here?” You strike up a conversation with him which is something you would normally avoid to do so. Leon smirked at you, chugging down the Vodka shot in one go before he let out a sharp breath. His eyes met back to yours before he cocked his head to the side, “Yeah, just wanted to find somewhere to rest, past weeks have been crazy.” He replied, his eyes shifted to the empty shot. “I might be here for a while, mind keeping a tab for me?” Leon poured himself another shot, his finger grazing around the rim of the shot glass before looking up into your eyes.
“Aren’t you too young to be bartending?"
“What are you a cop or something?” You raised your eyebrow with a teasing smile on your lips, jotting down his tab before pushing it to the side. A chuckle left his lips before Leon speaks again, “Eh, kind of. So how old are you?"
“21. No breaking laws here, officer.” Slightly raising both of your hands in the air jokingly, Leon grinned at your antics, chugging his second shot of Vodka.
“No worries, pretty girl. But why here, though? Why work in a bar?”
“It pays me well plus I needed some quick cash. My dad isn’t too keen on giving me some money so here I am.” You said, pouring him his third shot of Vodka as he smiled at you.
“How come?”
“Let’s just say he's not the nicest.” You shrugged, watching as his adam apple's bobs every time he chugged the Vodka shot down his throat. His pale cheeks already began to redden up a little, adoring his porcelain skin with a pink tint. Leon extended his hand to you and you happily accepted it, giving him a firm handshake before you exchanged introductions with each other.
“Leon Kennedy. And you are?”
“[Y/N] [L/N].”
The two of you converse for hours, pouring him shot after shot and with every shot he takes, Leon would flirt with you. He’s still pretty sober despite the high intake of Vodka shots, he seems pretty calm in his seat— occasionally winking at you when you’re serving other customers and throwing cheesy pick-up lines between the conversation.
Leon can’t lie but finds himself attracted to you, ordering more and more drinks in hopes of keeping your attention on him. He loves the way you blushed at the slightest contact of his hands or the way you would look at him back with a twinge of desire circling behind those eyes of yours. Fuck, you’re too hot for him to be this tipsy.
Once in a while when you were talking, his eyes would shift down to your lips, cock straining against his pants as you licked your lips and looked up to him with that evident obliviousness plastered all over your pretty face to his impure thoughts.
“Your total is 200 dollars. Cash or card?” You smiled at him, handing him the tab you had for him with a card reader in your other hand. Leon ran his card swiftly on the card reader before he put them back into his wallet and stuffed them back into his pocket. Shifting your eyes to the clock, a hint of disappointment could be seen on your face before you quickly muster a small smile for Leon.
“It’s already twelve? Well, it’s been nice talking to you, Leon." Untying the beige apron around your waist, you placed it on the lower counter. Leon was quick to wrap his fingers around your wrist to stop you in your tracks.
“I can give you a ride back home if you want.”
Tumblr media
You can definitely say this was a different type of a ride back home.
“Your lips taste so fucking sweet."
Straddling his hips with your thighs wrapped around his waist at the backseat, Leon has his arm around your waist. His other hand cupped the right side of your face, circling his thumb on your cheek as you intertwined your lips with him. His tongue goes past your slick lips as his hand guides your head to tilt a little to deepen the heated kiss. Leon breaks away from the kiss, leaning his head back on the car seat as you look at him with a dazed smile.
“Shit, this is insane.” He muttered, his fingers running thru his dirty blonde hair. “What’s so insane about this?” You softly replied, your lips finding their way back to him as he happily reciprocated, kissing you back with his tongue swirling with yours. His hand on your cheek moved to the back of your head, keeping your lips locked with his as you moaned into the kiss. Pulling away from the kiss for air, Leon strokes your hair as he runs his fingers thru your locks.
“Never really made out with a girl prior after knowing her for a couple of hours." Leon chuckled, his head slightly tilted as he looked back into your eyes with a half-lidded stare. He can feel the heat radiating from your cunt and God knows how much of the effect you had on him. “Well, I don’t usually accept a ride back home from a stranger but here we are.”
“It’s a first for the two of us then.” He grinned, a devilish smirk playing on his lips before his hand removed his hand from the back of your head. Unwrapping his arm around your waist, Leon moved both of his hands and settled them on your hips. His thumb makes a circular motion on the surface of your stomach as hummed with satisfaction. “You can do more than that, can you, officer?"
Right. You don't even know what he actually works as. That’s how little you two know of each other and yet his bodies and yours slotted perfectly like two pieces of puzzles. As if the two of you had known each other forever. Leon preferred the anonymity between the two of them.
“You’re going to make me lose control if you keep calling me that," Leon chuckled, the sound of his husky voice ringing in your ears. You noticed how your lipgloss was all over his lips, the beautiful pink sheen smeared on his lips down to his chin. “What should I call you then? Daddy?”
Leon let out a groan, his smile widening at the way your voice sounded when you rolled the word daddy off the tip of your tongue smoothly— you’re can’t be teasing him when he’s this horny and tipsy. He can't even think properly, too fixated on the positions he can put you in at the back seat of his car, clouding his mind with endless indecent imagination. He swallowed thickly, looking back at your eyes as you bit your lower lip back at him and flashed him a playful smile. “Say it again.”
“Daddy.” You breathed out, eyes shooting wide when his fingers brushed against your collarbone as he pried your blouse open, sending the buttons of your blouse to fly everywhere. Your body tensed up from the sudden action, his warm breath hitting against your skin as he kissed your collarbone and stopped between your chest. “Yeah, call me that.”
“Gladly.” Pulling away from your chest, he leaned in closer to your face, pulling your face into his as he smashed his lips on yours— engaging you into a messy, sloppy kiss. His tongue forcefully parted your pursed lips, exploring every corner of your mouth as you let out a pathetic whine when he pulled away. “God, you’re so needy. My needy little girl,” You can feel the ache between your thighs building up when he called you a little girl. Your cunt throbbed against the thin fabric of your cotton panties as he slipped his hand down your pencil skirt, his index finger teasing the pulsing little clit thru the fabric of your panties in a circular motion as he softly chuckled when you began to squirm in his grasp.
“You're already so wet. You’re excited for daddy to fuck you stupid?” He whispered into your ear, shooting shivers down your spine as you nodded at his question. “Let me hear your voice, pretty girl.” Leon landed a firm spank on your ass, sending your back straight as your fingers cling to his black T-Shirt. “I-I am excited...”
“There's my good girl. Open your mouth for me.” You obeyed him, parting your lips before he stuck the same index and middle finger he teased your clit earlier. “Get it nice and wet for your pussy, baby.” Leon smiled, occasionally letting out a grunt as the warmth of your mouth and your hot tongue wrapped around his digits.
All Leon could do is wish it was his cock you were sucking, taking every inch of his shaft down your throat. He wanted to see the outline of his cock on your throat, fucking your mouth while his balls slapped against your chin as he leaves you breathless. But for now, he’d settle with fingering your pretty pussy open.
“You’re so cute sucking my fingers like that,” He breathed out, pulling his fingers out from your mouth as it let out a small pop. “Thank you, daddy.” You shyly muttered, cheeks heating up upon feeling his cock twitching in his pants and grazing against your clothed sex.
“Spread your legs up a little for daddy, baby.” Your knees dug into the cushion of his car seat as you leaned your body on his front seat. His hands helped you roll your skirt up to your pelvis. Your fingers reach down to push your panties aside, spreading the lips apart as his breath hitches. Leon mumbled a curse, his pants getting tighter and tighter by each time as he salivates over the sight of your sopping cunt.
“All this pretty pussy just for me?” You nodded at his question in which he slipped back his hand between your thighs. Leon removed the gloves from his hands before throwing them to the front seat.
“S’all for you,” Your words were slurred from fixating on the ache between your legs so much. He grinned upon hearing your answer, inserting two digits past the tight muscles as your body shuddered in pleasure. His thumb makes its way to your clit, rubbing them at a slow pace and in a circular motion. Arching your body into his touch, Leon let out a chuckle— his other hand pushing your bra up your breast before the rough surface of his palm quickly fondled your tits.
“F-Fuck... Just like that...” You moaned out, throwing your head back from pure ecstasy as his hand massaged your tit while his fingers were pumping in and out of your pussy. Apart from the sound of your wanton moans, the squelches of your cunt sucking in his fingers and the low buzz coming from the radio filled the limited space of his car. “You like that? You like getting fingered by a stranger? God, I bet you did this to all of your customers, don’t you?”
You should’ve found that disrespectful, should’ve snapped back at him for thinking that way but somehow it made you wetter. His voice was soothing and had the right amount of hoarseness that you can’t help but get off from him shaming you. Either way, you shook your head in the heat of your bliss, looking back at him with misty eyes. “No, just you, Leon... You’re the only one that I-I let you do this...”
“Good. That's what I wanted to hear from you.” He smiled before he picked up the pace of his fingers, rubbing your clit in a rougher and sloppier manner. Lips parting slightly, you gasped for air, seemingly taken aback by the sudden change of pace as your nails dug deep into his shoulder blades, gripping him tightly with the familiar knot in your lower stomach threatened to break. He loves the feeling of your spongy walls wrapped around his digits, pulsing and sucking his fingers deeper and deeper until his fingers brushed against your sweet spot.
“Oh, you love that, don’t you? Filthy whore.” The name-calling made your pussy clings onto his digits tighter as a sly smirk painted all over his lips. “Such a slut for getting off to me calling you a filthy whore, huh?” You weakly nodded, feeling yourself nearer to your limit as a whine left your lips when his fingers were pumping deep inside of you, abusing your sweet spot to its limits. Your teeth bite back your lower lip when he spits on your clit, smearing his saliva all over the bundle of nerves with his thumb.
“You’re so fucking hot, I can’t wait to have you crying on my cock.” He said in a whisper, making sure you heard him despite the overwhelming pleasure you were feeling at the moment. “L-Leon, I'm... Fuck!... C-Cummin’” You cried, not caring if anyone that walked past his car would notice how your bare body is played by Leon like a piece of instrument. God, being seen nude by people now was the least concern you had, the only thing you could think about now is finishing on his fingers.
But what’s the fun in letting his little girl have everything her way?
“No, no, I’m not letting you cum, yet.” Leon pulled out his fingers out of your sensitive cunt, wrapping his tongue around his digits as he cleaned your juices off his pruney fingers. You pouted at his words, a frustrated sigh left your lips as you leaned your head on the window. “Why not?” You asked with your eyebrows furrowed into a small frown, it was clear you weren’t happy with him suddenly edging you. His eyes on you softened before he wrapped his arms around your body, his lips pressed on your bruised lips before he gave it a little lick.
“You don’t want to cum all over daddy’s dick?” Leon asked, once again, his thumb rubbing the bone of your hip in a circular motion. His eyes looked back at yours as he put his finger under your chin, lifting your face up to make you look up at him.
“It's going to feel nicer, princess. Don't you want that?”
He was right. God, why does he always know what to say to you? He arranged words in a way that weakened your knees and sent the same aching mess rushing back between your legs.
“I do, I do want it...” You weakly replied to him. Leon doesn't think you know how pretty you are now, looking up at him with those dew eyes, the clear desperation painted across your face and the way you already began to rub your thighs together. Getting you off his lap, he opened the right door of his car. You couldn’t help but stared at his erection, straining against his black jeans as Leon unbuckled his brown, leather belt. “Come here, princess.” He gestured for you to be closer as you listened to him, inching closer to him as the cold air from the outside hits your skin. His hand reached down to tease your hardened nipples, letting a glob of his spit fall down to your chest as he lathered your nipples with his saliva and pre cum using the tip of his cock.
“It's cold, isn’t it? Don’t worry, I’d heat you up just in a sec. Ass up, face down, pretty girl.” You nodded, turning your back to him before bringing your hips higher as the leather of his car seat sticks to the sweat on your face. His cold fingers removed your panties, letting them hang just above your knees as his eyes stared at your dripping cunt with hungry eyes. A small gasp emits out of you when he tapped his cock on your slit several times, teasing your swollen clit with the head of his dick as you bite your lips back.
“Keep quiet, okay? I need you to take every inch of me like a good girl. Just let me know if it hurts.” A grunt left his lips when he pushed the tip past your lips, his other hand holding onto the doorframe of his car while the other settled around your waist. Leon wanted nothing but to push his cock and filled every corner of your tight cunt but he controlled himself from doing so. After all, the last thing he wanted to do is to hurt you after how sweet you are for him this whole night. “The head’s in... I’m going to start pushing more and more, okay?”
“O-Okay...” You whine, breathing heavily as your chest heaves up and down in an erratic pattern.
“Fuck, [Y/N], you need to stop sounding like that before...” Leon cut himself short, by now he was already halfway in you, the feeling of your velvet walls throbbing around his cock made his mouth dry before a shaky breath left his lips. A low whimper guttered out of his throat as you trembled under him, allowing him to bury his cock deeper and deeper into your pussy until your ass met his pelvis. “Feel that, princess?”
You moaned out a high-pitched yes to his question, throwing a glance at him over your shoulder as you looked at him through blurry vision. Salty tears clinging to your lashes with your bruised lips parted slightly, your eyes looking back at him with nothing but sheer desire. Leon spared you a smirk, pushing back his hair from his face before his hand landed yet another spank on your ass— seemingly turned on by the way you yelped and squeezed around him.
“Keep your eyes on me while I fucked you like the filthy whore you are.”
Leon begins to rock his hips at a slow pace, making sure you’re still adjusting to his size, his eyes shifting back and forth from your face to the way your cunt wraps snugly around his cock. Leaning closer to you until his chest pressed against your back, Leon planted a kiss on your earlobe. “You’re making me drunk from how good your pussy is, baby.” He said, kissing down the nape of your neck before he stood up back straight and began to move his hips faster.
This might just be the relief Leon needed after all of the fighting he had to endure.
“Hey, no looking away.” Every so often, he’d spanked you for not looking him in the eyes. He needs to see every contortion of expression on your face while you locked eyes with him. Leon knows you struggled to keep your eyes open, losing yourself in the pleasure as his throbbing cock goes in and out of you at a steady pace. And Leon loves it. He loves making sure your eyes are still on him, whether by spanking your already sore rear or suddenly thrusting deep inside of you to hear the small little scream you make when you’re surprised.
“Sorry, daddy.” And every time he does that, you never fail to apologize to him between your choked sobs and broken moans. It was endearing to watch, seeing you try your best to not disappoint him while he’s fucking your pussy raw in the back seat of his car. The shape of his fingers is already bruising into the skin of your flesh, the mixture of both pain and pleasure sending you over the edge as you curl your toes every time the tip of his cock grazes against your cervix. The prominent vein on the side of his cock rubbed against your walls with every thrust, fishing muffled moans out of you.
“Touch your clit for me, baby.” You’re so pathetic like this, being fucked in the backseat of a guy you just knew a few hours ago. But you knew what would happen the second you agreed to a ride back home from him. Not that you regretted it, being dicked down by Leon has been nothing but heaven for you. Obeying to his order, your hand travelled down between your thighs, putting your index finger on your swollen clit before easing it in a circular motion. “Good girl.” He growled, picking up the pace of his thrusts before he stopped in his tracks. Sweat hanging at the tip of his hair as he looked down to the ground, the pleasure was too much for him.
He can just cum any second now if he moves. Taking notice of his sudden pause, you grind your cunt into his dick, pushing him back into the warmth of your pussy as his eyes shoot wide. “F-Fuck, baby, you can’t…” He stuttered, the feeling of your tight cunt pulsing around his cock and the way your ass bouncing on him was too much for him to handled. Gritting his teeth, Leon pushed your head back down onto the leather seat, his other hand keeping a firm grip around your hips as he started to snap his hips at a rougher pace.
“Fucking slut, can’t even give daddy a rest.” He cursed under his breath, his cock ramming into your pussy deeper as if he were moulding the shape of his dick into your sweet cunt. Every last of self-control left his body the second you started bouncing on his cock. Leon couldn’t care less at the fact that you had already cummed on his cock once or how he rendered you into nothing but a crying mess— all he cared about is the high he was chasing.
Leon needed that sweet release. He needed to cum deep inside of your pussy despite having no rubber on. “I'm going to cum inside, baby, fuck, fuck, fuck….” You probably can’t hear it but Leon finds it adorable how you’re nodding your head to whatever he said. Throwing his head in pure bliss, Leon finally comes undone inside of you, shooting sticky webs of his seed deep into your cunt before he stays inside of you for a couple of minutes as he catches his breath. His cum overflows out from your pussy the seconds he pulls out, dripping down between your thighs and dirtying his leather seat with his cum and your juices.
“You're so pretty like this, [Y/N].” He groaned, putting his pants back up. Leon fished out his cell phone from his pocket, pressing the camera icon as he started recording.
“You’re recording…?” You asked, instinctively hiding your face from the camera as he laughed. “Yeah, I wouldn't want to forget a moment like this.” Leon calmly said, his fingers running between the lips as he scooped up his cum and started writing his initials on your lower back. He dragged the white, translucent liquid as he formed the L. S. K. alphabets on your skin.
“Perfect.”

housemate!kyle x gender neutral reader let's goooooo.
rating: PG-13 (for now) pairing: eventual kyle "gaz" garrick x gender neutral reader word count: 1.5k TW: bit of swearing, fluff, mentions of original characters AN: i fully plan on writing more of this, but i wanted to get the first part out before i start the next part. as always, barely edited so funky grammar and typos are still likely. this is completely self indulgent. please send love to @391780 for cheerleading me with this one!
your housemate sucks since meeting her new boyfriend.
your normally sociable, polite and reasonable housemate has turned into some kind of lust-crazed succubus since meeting dale, spending hours upon hours of her time shut in her bedroom with him. and if she doesn’t shut the fuck up in the next five minutes you’re going to kick her door in. or castrate him. or possibly burst into sleep deprived tears.
“oh! oh god! fuck! dale, baby, oh my god!”
jesus fucking christ. it’s 4.30am and ruby is wailing like a cat in heat at the top of her fucking voice. she’s so loud you could swear she and her soon to be castrated boyfriend were fucking in your bedroom instead of the room next to yours. briefly you debate yelling at the top of your lungs but you don’t want to disturb the neighbours any further, so with a muttered curse you snatch your pillow and duvet off your bed and stomp downstairs to the living room so you can sleep on the sofa.
you get settled onto the sofa and glare at the ceiling in the living room, the sound of rhythmic thumping and moaning still audible even with the increased distance between you and the nymphomaniac formerly known as ruby. you mutter and grumble to yourself as you shut your eyes trying to get at least a little bit of sleep before needing to get up for your job interview in the morning.
at midday you kick the front door shut behind you and shrug your coat off your shoulders as you step further into the hallway.
“hey i’m home!” you call up the stairs, “my job interview was an utter shit show so i’m thinking we get a chinese and a bottle of wine to commiserate, yeah?” you pause waiting to hear ruby’s usual reply reminding you not to order from the golden palace but silence greets you instead.
“huh. weird.” you mutter to yourself as you pass through the living room, dropping your bag and coat on the sofa as you beeline towards the kitchen. ruby’s probably making something for lunch while listening to one of her creepy true crime podcasts.
“hey ruby - oh.” you cut yourself off as you walk into the kitchen, no sign of ruby except for the used butter knife leaving a greasy smear on the counter and a pink post-it note stuck on the front of the fridge. you step forward to pluck the note off the fridge and squint at ruby’s loopy handwriting.
gone 2 stay w/ dale 4 a few days! look after widget for me - r xxxx
you huff a breath out of your nose and crumple the note into a ball so you can pop it in the kitchen bin with the crumbs you sweep off the side into your palm. ugh. it’s such a little thing but you feel frustrated tears well up in your eyes in response to having to clean up after ruby once again on minimal sleep.
a tiny high pitched mrr! interrupts your internal grumbling and you turn around to face the little tabby that is waiting patiently by an empty food bowl.
“hiya widge, have you been a good girl while i’ve been out?” you ask softly as you crouch so widget can bonk her head onto your outstretched hand. typically widget doesn’t answer but she chirps again before padding back to her bowl, politely requesting that you get with the programme and make with the biscuits before cleaning up the rest of the kitchen.
you sigh and push yourself up from the floor, just another half finished job left for you. great.
a week later, with no sign of ruby and your texts unanswered, your laptop chimes on the coffee table with a new email. you hope briefly that it’s one of the companies you’ve applied to responding to your application with an offer for a job interview, but your heart sinks as you realise it's an email from your landlord, john.
you skim over the email and you feel your eyes sting as select phrases leap out at you. “i’m sorry to inform you that ruby has decided to end the tenancy agreement at 141 hereford way early” ... “you can choose to remain in the property as a sole tenant after an additional credit check to ensure your affordability” … “alternatively, please let me know when ruby has collected her belongings so i can advertise the room to other prospective tenants”.
fuck. that utter bitch. she’s left you unemployed and now potentially living with a total stranger. fuck.
your hands shake slightly as you reach for your laptop so you can start composing your reply to john.
“hi john, thanks for letting me know. i haven’t heard from ruby in a week now, so i’m unsure when she’ll be able to collect her belongings but i think it’s probably for the best if you look at advertising her room as available to rent. i’ll start bagging up her belongings today. kind regards….”
it’s official. your soon to be ex-housemate really fucking sucks.
several days pass with a flurry of emails to john and even more unanswered texts to ruby, when a solid jaunty knock startles you out of the doze you’d dropped into on the sofa. you hiss as widget launches herself off your stomach using her claws for purchase so she can bolt up the stairs away from the noise. you swear under your breath as you kick one of the six black bin bags that line the hallway filled with ruby’s crap as you edge your way to the front door. the silhouette you can see through the frosted glass in the door knocks again just as you reach for the handle and pull the door open.
“yeah yeah i’m here -” you cut yourself off with an embarrassed sound as you get a good look at the man standing at the threshold.  oh no, he’s fit as fuck is your first thought and you’re not wrong.
the first thing you notice, as you flick your eyes over him quickly, is that he’s in incredible shape. the stranger has broad shoulders and a muscular chest that tapers off into a narrow waist. the second thing you notice when you raise your gaze back up to his face is that he has a jaw dropping smile when he flashes you a friendly grin.
“hey, i’m kyle. your new housemate.” he says confidently, “john should’ve mentioned me.”
you shake yourself out of the slight daze you’ve found yourself in - seriously no man should have skin that perfect - and you offer your own tentative smile back.
“uh, yeah. sure. sorry i was -” you glance back into the hallway and cringe at the sight of the black bin bags “- um. in the middle of something.” you finish weakly, hoping you don’t look too obviously like you’ve been napping in the middle of the day.
your housemate - kyle - rumbles out a slightly bashful chuckle.
“no, no it’s fine. i would’ve been here earlier but i had to give a witness statement for the accident on the high street.” kyle reaches up and tugs at the brim of the scuffed blue baseball cap on his head awkwardly.
“oh shit, really? what happened?” you query him eagerly, your love of gossip overriding your mild embarrassment in a flash. kyle’s eyes crinkle happily at your tone and he leans in conspiratorially, letting his hand drop away from his face.
“some guy walked into an open manhole cover.” he says with a completely straight face.
you burst out a startled laugh. “no fucking way!”
kyle nods, his lips twitching in a poorly concealed grin. “yeah, stuck like winnie the pooh, i swear to god.”
you have to hold onto the edge of the open door to stop yourself from collapsing into fits of laughter. “how -” another gleeful cackle escapes you before you can compose yourself, “how the fuck did he manage to do that?”
kyle shrugs. “he just walked straight through the barrier, surprised the lanky fucker missed it really.”
you collapse into laughter again, feeling your cheeks ache from the width of your grin. holy shit, that’s the best thing you’ve heard all day. eventually your slightly hysterical laughter peeters out and you wipe at your eyes as you look at kyle who is grinning back at you.
“so, fancy letting me in then?” he nudges at the frankly massive khaki rucksack at his feet after a moment of silence as if to remind you that he isn’t just here to charm you with silly stories and his offensively handsome good looks. your embarrassment flares once again as you realise you’ve just been looking at him instead of asking him to come inside like a normal person.
“sorry, yeah of course.” you step back from the door and turn around so he can’t see the way your cheeks are now flushed from embarrassment instead of laughter. “sorry about the mess.” you say apologetically over your shoulder as kyle follows you into the hallway.
“oh i dunno, it doesn’t look too bad to me.”
you hear kyle kick the door shut behind him and you laugh again to cover up the way your stomach flutters at his tone. if you didn’t know better you’d say he was flirting with you, but you discount that as wishful thinking on your part as you lead him towards the stairs.
it is wishful thinking, right?

I’m just very confused on why you guys think Jk Rowling is denying the holocaust. She isn’t denying the holocaust itself.
She said that Trans people weren’t the first ones to be persecuted, and that’s true. The Nazis primarily were against the Jews. She didn’t say that the trans people weren’t targeted at all as far as I know. Im very confused.
Alright. Since you wrote this from what I'm assuming is good faith, I will reply as politely as I can. Sorry if anything comes off as rude, I just have a somewhat blunt way of speaking and talking.
Despite being a best selling author of books with a political message, all of which smack you over the head with it, JKR isn't particularly good at making arguments for her beliefs. So, any confusion is alright, and forgiven, because she herself is a confusing debater.
So, *I* did not say she's denying the entire holocaust. I don't know what other folks are saying, but *I* never said she's denying the entire Holocaust-she was denying the very specific act, an atrocity really, of nazis burning books about trans people. However, denying any atrocity of the Holocaust is still, y'know, bad. To me, denying one aspect of it is just as gross and harmful as denying the whole thing. But that's me and my view.
Second, nowhere in the original tweet is the person in the screenshot that she's replying to saying that trans people were the first victims of the nazis. (see below). They aren't saying that at all, what they're saying is that trans books/research were burned by the nazis (Which. Uh. They were!). In her original post, JKR denied book burnings done by Nazis, specifically books about trans people. Which is verifiable and correct. The nazis did in fact do that. So yes, she's denying an aspect of the holocaust. That is objectively what she's doing.
Tumblr media
Then, later (see below), likely because she was mad at this other girl for pointing out that her tweet is spreading false information (and again, is specifically denying an atrocity of the holocaust), Rowling herself is the one who switches it up from "Uh, nu uh never happened!" to "Well no no I'm just saying they didn't burn all of the books in Germany and that they weren't the first victims!"
Tumblr media
The poster, Alejandra here, calls her out again (see below). Because she never said that! The person there in the original screenshot that she's posting also doesn't say that anywhere in their original tweet!
Then, instead of just apologizing, she decided to move the goalposts and accuse Alejandra of lying, specifically of lying about a point that JKR was the one to switch to, and then used an entirely different tweet to accuse this girl of lying about something she and the screenshotted person never even said. She's doing this because she's embarrassed that someone called her out for denying an atrocity of the holocaust, that's whats going on here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again: the person she was originally responding to didn't say that trans people were the first victims or that every last book on them in Germany was destroyed, and this Alejandra person certainly didn't say that either, so now JKR is quite literally accusing this girl (who she wasn't even originally arguing with!) of lying over a third separate person's tweet, and over a point that JKR herself was the one to switch over to in the first place. Because she's embarrassed and mad that she was called out as a denier of part of the holocaust over her first tweet.
And please don't give me the argument of "oh well technically Alejandra asked where anyone said that, though 🥺". JKR moved the goalposts and accused this girl of lying because she got embarrassed, and then pulled out a third separate person's tweet out, because she's simply embarrassed for being called out as a holocaust atrocity denier. She was so embarrassed and flustered over being a holocaust atrocity denier that she quite literally moved the goalposts of her argument instead of just apologizing for denying part of the holocaust. Like a normal person hopefully would.
If Rowling originally just wanted to argue that trans people weren't the first victims, then she should have posted a response to that second screenshot she had in the first place, instead of the one she originally posted. But we all have eyes here, and can see that what she originally did was deny an atrocity of the holocaust entirely through her original tweet. Everything after came through sheer embarrassment at being called out, and "no I'm just saying trans people weren't the first victims!" is deflection on her end, because she is embarrassed that she was called out and corrected.
TL;DR: JK Rowling is a holocaust atrocity denying bigot. That's it. That's what she's revealed herself as, and when corrected, she simply moved the goalposts instead of apologizing. That's a solid and morally sound reason for anyone to no longer consume her work if transphobia by itself wasn't enough.

you are in love
Tumblr media
pairing: anakin skywalker x fem!jedi!reader
summary: after getting back from a mission that has you injured, you find your best friend, anakin, waiting up for you. you notice he is acting odd and you are determined to figure out why.
warnings: none
a/n: first anakin imagine. please leave requests for anakin, he is my new hyper fixation. as always, i love you so much, please enjoy!
-—————————⋆。‧˚ʚɞ˚‧。⋆—————————-
And last time that happened you didn't get any help, and he was pissed because of it, so now he has decided to wait for you after every mission.
The moment he saw you walking, or.. limping down the hall of the temple, he crossed his arms and leaned further against the wall.
"What happened? You're limping."
"Ani? What are you doing outside of my dorm so late?" You asked ignoring his question.
His face was scrunched in a concerned expression.
"Are you okay, did you get hurt?" He asked back in a worried tone. "I was out here because when.. you know, when you take a while to get back I'm worried."
"I told you, you don't have to worry about me." Y/N responded. "Really, I'm fine. I just rolled my ankle."
You knew it was much worse than just rolling your ankle, but you would never let Anakin know that.
"I'm going to check up on that."
His expression was still concerned and he pushed off of the wall and looked you up and down.
"Let me come to your room, let me see it."
"I promise I'm fine. You need your sleep as much as I do, I know training younglings is a lot harder than it seems." You slightly laugh as you try and cover your wince.
His brow furrowed.
"I'm not taking no for an answer." He said, crossing his arms again.
"Come on."
"Fine. Okay." You replied.
He sighed and shook his head.
Once you arrived in your room he gently guided your over to the bed, and began to inspect your ankle.
"I knew it, you really hurt yourself." He said under his breath, almost to himself.
"Are you sure? It feels fine." You lie one last time.
You hate being the center of attention, you planned to just sneak to the med-bay in the morning.
"You're limping." He replied back. "Your ankle is swollen."
He sat on the edge of the bed, his hands at his sides, and began taking out some small packets of medicines and whatnot.
"Hold out your ankle." He spoke.
You sigh and shift your leg so Anakin can access your ankle better.
Anakin hums as he takes out some kind of antiseptic, and begins to apply it to the wound.
His face is stern but.. there's something else.. there too... what.. what is that emotion?
"Something on your mind Ani?" You ask out of curiosity.
He paused in silence for a moment and raised his gaze to you without moving his head.
Finally he whispered.
"It's nothing."
His voice was strained, quiet, almost a growl almost.
"Okay." You replied. You were completely unconvinced.
He quickly changed the subject.
"How severe is your pain?" He spoke as he began moving bandages onto your ankle.
"On a scale of 1 to 10."
"I don't know like a 4." You huff.
"Here." He said as he placed the finishing touches on his work.
"Take these" handing you some green pills. "They're pain killers. They'll help." He said as he began wrapping the final band-age around your ankle.
"Thanks." You smile politely at your best friend.
He nodded, though it was a stiff nod.
"I'm.. I'm going to stay here for a bit. If your pain worsens, if it becomes unbearable, tell me, okay?"
"Anakin I promise I'm fine! You need your rest, there is no need to babysit me." You hoped you didn't come off as rude but you hated to be a burden.
"I insist." He spoke sternly.
His gaze was still locked on you when he said that, he was worried, it was quite clear.
He sighed heavily.
"What wrong, really?" You could tell something going on deeper. He wasn't usually this protective.
There's a moment of silence, and his gaze shifts to the floor in front of him, you can practically hear him debating something in his head.
"..Can I ask you a question?" He asked in a whisper, his gaze staying downward.
"You're my best friend, you can ask me anything." You waited for Anakin to continue.
"Would you promise to tell me the truth?" He asked softly, still looking at the floor. It was almost painful to see him like this. His face was almost pale in the dimly lit room.
"Always."
"..Do you love me?" He asked, raising his gaze to you.
Now that was a surprise question. You could see the hesitation in his eyes, he looked almost anxious, like he might break-down right there if you told him the wrong answer.
"Of course I love you Anakin, as I said, you are my best friend." You replied with a safe answer not knowing if he meant romantically.
You always thought Anakin had seen you as his younger sister who needed protection.
His body relaxed a bit.
"..That's what I meant." He spoke, but it sounded almost.. like he was lying?
He quickly snapped out of it though, and spoke again.
"Good, good." He said almost dismissively.
"..Just take the pills if your in too much pain, okay?" He looked genuinely relieved after saying that.
"Yeah, okay, thanks." Your body sunk with disappointment. You really hoped he had meant that question in another way. Unfortunately, you would always be a burden to Anakin.
You could see a smile grow on his face at that.
He sat down beside you on the bed, and after a moment he leaned against you, and put his arm around you.
He was warm, comforting, but also oddly tense.
He seemed to be.. waiting for something... or maybe.. looking for a sign?
"Anakin, why are you acting so weird?" You were tired of ignoring it and you just wanted to know.
Anakin turned his head to look at you.
But even then he didn't say anything and for a moment he just looked.. blank. Lost in your eyes.
"Just take your meds, okay? I have to get some rest."
That didn't answer the question.
Your brows furrowed. "What?" You mumbled, barely loud enough to hear.
Anakin turned back toward the floor.
He stayed silent for a moment, the only sound being the wind outside, and then.. he spoke, quietly, quietly enough that you almost don't hear him at all.
"..I love you." He said in a whisper.
Your heartbeat immediately picked up. Your mouth was dry. Your breathing was heavy.
Anakin seemed to know what effect he'd had on you.
He leaned a bit closer to you now, though his eyes were still on the floor.
"..Do you...." he whispered, taking his time to get his words right.
He seemed nervous now.
"Do you love me back?"
"I... " You breathed out. "I do. I love you. I'm in love with you."
Anakin seemed to not believe you.
"Really?" He whispered, he raised his gaze at you now, his eyes locked on yours.
You gently brought you hand up to cup the side of his face. You forced him to look you in the eyes. "You're my best friend and I am in love with you."
You gently brought you hand up to cup the side of his face. You forced him to look you in the eyes. "You're my best friend and I am in love with you."
Anakin smiled for a moment.
"You are." He said almost quietly to himself.
"You really are."
A tear fell from his eye and he looked away, embarrassed, he put his face in his hands.
"Oh my." He said in a murmur.
But still he couldn't wipe the smile off his face, and his eyes were gleaming in the moonlight.
"I always thought you saw me a younger sister figure." You stated.
"..I-I did at first." Anakin admitted quietly
"I.. I just realized how much I... liked you." Anakin was having a hard time speaking.
"I'm sorry." He whispered.
"There's nothing to be sorry for." You released a breath you had been holding.
Anakin nodded, but there was still a small smile on his face.
He turned to you fully now, and you could see the joy shining in his sky blue eyes.
"Do you think... maybe we could... be together?" He asked, with a small chuckle.
"I would love that." You smiled.
He smiled even more, and he looked like he could burst from joy at any moment.
He wrapped his arms around you and held you close.
"Oh my god, I can't believe it."
You could feel him trembling, the feeling that he was about to explode from happiness.
"Oh my god." He whispered in a voice full of emotion.
"Oh my god, you love me back."
You stared at him with adoration of his joyous state. You were entranced by him. Before you even knew what you were doing, you grabbed his face and smashed his lips on your own.
Anakin didn't hesitate when you kissed him, he wrapped his arms around you tighter, and pulled you even closer.
His mind seemed to be racing as your lips connected and your tongues entangle, he seemed ecstatic, but also nervous..?
"My god..." He whispered as his lips broke away from yours.
For a few seconds neither of you said anything, you were both breathing heavily, looking into each other's eyes. The only sound being the quiet wind from outside.
"I love you. So much." You whispered.
"I love you more than anything in the world." He said back after a moment of contemplation.
"I think...." He took a moment to choose his words carefully.
"..I think I love you more than I even love Obi-Wan." He let out a nervous chuckle.
"And that means a lot." You know just how important that Obi-Wan is to him, if he's saying that he loves you more than him... that has to mean a heck of a lot.

The fluorescent lights of the grocery store cast a bright glow over the aisles, illuminating the colorful array of products lining the shelves. Theo strolled through the store, while you sat in the cart, snacks and essentials piled high around you.
The grocery store aisles became their battleground as they playfully bantered over the best candy for their movie night. With each turn down a new aisle, the debate intensified. Theo's arguments for the tangy delight of sour candies clashed with your unwavering devotion to the sweet satisfaction of chocolate.
Your banter echoed through the grocery store aisles, drawing amused glances from other shoppers. You grinned mischievously from your perch in the cart, throwing playful jabs at Theo's taste in candy while he retaliated with mock indignation.
As you rounded the corner into the snack aisle, a familiar voice called out, interrupting your lively debate. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Y/n!"
You turned to see a young man standing before you, a wide smile spread across his face. He was tall and lanky, with tousled red hair that seemed to defy gravity, and a pair of bright blue eyes that sparkled with warmth and familiarity. It took you a moment to recognise who was talking to you. He was someone you used to go to school with, a friendly face from your hometown that you hadn't seen in years. You remembered his mother used to be friends with yours and wondered if they still talked.
"Jake! Wow, it's been forever," you exclaimed, genuinely pleased to see him.
Theo's expression shifted imperceptibly, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features as he observed the exchange between you and Jake. He remained silent, pushing the cart forward as you engaged in conversation with your old friend.
"Hey, yeah, it really has," Jake replied with a grin, his eyes scanning over Theo before returning to you. "Looks like you've got some company."
You nodded, gesturing toward the tall boy behind you. "Yeah, this is Theo. He's a friend from college. We’re visiting for the holidays."
"Nice to meet you, Theo," Jake said, extending a hand.
Theo shook it with a polite smile, though you couldn't help but notice the slight tensing of his jaw. "Likewise."
"So, what brings you guys to the grocery store?" Jake asked, falling into step beside the cart as you continued down the aisle.
"We're stocking up for a movie night," you explained, reaching for a bag of popcorn on the shelf. "Trying to decide on the best snacks."
Jake chuckled. "Ah, the eternal struggle. Sweet or savory?"
"Exactly," you agreed. "We've been debating it all afternoon."
"Well, if you ask me, you can't go wrong with a good mix of both," Jake suggested, grabbing a bag of chips from the shelf. "Cover all your bases, you know?"
You laughed, nodding in agreement as you took the bag from his hands, stashing down at your feet. "That's true."
As you caught up with Jake, sharing stories and reminiscing about the past, Theo's demeanor became increasingly guarded. He made casual remarks, joining in the conversation, but there was a subtle tension in his voice that betrayed his unease.
You couldn't help but notice the shift in Theo's demeanor, sensing the underlying tension beneath his attempts to appear unaffected. Despite his efforts to hide it, his jealousy simmered just beneath the surface, evident in the way he subtly tightened his grip on the cart handle. You assumed he was growing tired of being in the store and wanted to go home.
"So, Y/n, it's been ages since we hung out," Jake said, his tone filled with enthusiasm as he glanced between you and Theo. "Mind if I crash your movie night?"
You hesitated, exchanging a quick glance with Theo before responding. "Uh, well, my mom wouldn't really be a fan of that...Danny hasn’t been feeling well and she doesn’t really want the house to be even fuller, you know."
Theo's grip on the cart tightened slightly, a subtle indication of his discomfort with the idea. You could sense his unease, and while you didn't want to upset him, you also didn't want to leave Jake hanging. "But we should definitely catch up sometime this week," you continued, offering Jake a friendly smile. "How about we grab coffee or something?"
Jake's expression brightened at the suggestion, seemingly unfazed by the rejection of the movie night invitation. "That sounds great! I'll shoot you a text and we'll figure out a time."
"Sounds like a plan," you agreed, relieved that Jake was understanding.
Jake bid you farewell with a friendly wave before heading off to finish his own shopping. As he disappeared around the corner, you turned your attention back to Theo, who had fallen unusually quiet. "Hey, you okay?" you asked, noticing the tension in his shoulders.
Theo shrugged, his gaze fixed on the items lining the shelves. "Yeah, just tired, I guess."
You frowned, not entirely convinced by his response. "Are you sure? You seemed a little... off back there."
He forced a smile, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I'm fine, really. Let's just finish up here and head home."
Deciding not to press the issue further for now, you nodded, though a sense of unease lingered in the back of your mind. Theo's sudden change in demeanor had caught you off guard, and while you wanted to believe his explanation, you couldn't shake the feeling that something was bothering him.
●・○・●・○・●
Later that night, as you settled in for movie night, the tension between you and Theo remained palpable. He had taken a seat next to Danny, much to your little brother's excitement, leaving you to occupy the spot on the other side of the couch. You tried to brush off the unease gnawing at you, attributing it to Theo's earlier mood and hoping that he would warm up as the evening progressed.
Throughout the movie, Theo seemed distant, his attention focused solely on the screen. You caught glimpses of his profile in the dim glow of the television, his features drawn and unreadable. Despite your attempts to engage him in conversation or share a joke, he remained reserved, his responses curt and unenthusiastic.
As the movie played on, the atmosphere in the room grew increasingly strained. You stole glances at Theo, hoping for some sign that he was feeling better, but he remained aloof, his gaze fixed on the screen.
"That girl reminds me so much of Pansy," you reached around Danny and nudged him gently, trying to draw him into the moment.
He offered a half-hearted chuckle in response, but his eyes never left the television. Your heart sank further at his lack of engagement, the distance between you feeling more pronounced than ever.
When your mom suggested playing a game after the movie, you saw an opportunity to break the tension. "That sounds like fun, doesn't it?" you glanced over at Theo, hoping for a spark of enthusiasm.
But he shook his head, his expression apologetic. "I think I'm gonna call it a night, actually. I'm feeling pretty tired."
Disappointment washed over you as you watched him stand up and make his way towards the stairs. "Oh, okay. Well, goodnight, then," you forced a smile, trying to hide the hurt in your voice.
"Night," Theo replied softly, his tone devoid of its usual warmth as he disappeared upstairs.
After the game ended, you made your way upstairs, feeling a heavy weight in your chest. The events of the evening lingered in your mind, leaving you with a sense of unease that refused to dissipate.
Entering your room, you found Theo already lying in bed, his back turned towards you. You hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. Quietly, you slipped under the covers, careful not to disturb him. Tentatively, you reached out to him, your fingers lightly brushing against his back as they had the night before.
To your surprise, he recoiled at your touch, pushing your hand away before shifting further away from you. The rejection stung, a sharp pang of hurt piercing through your chest as you withdrew your hand, feeling the distance between you grow even wider.
Heart heavy with disappointment and confusion, you lay there in silence. Eventually, exhaustion overtook you, and you drifted off to sleep, the ache of unspoken words weighing heavily on your mind.
●・○・●・○・●
The next morning, you awoke to find Theo's side of the bed empty, a cold reminder of the distance that had grown between you overnight. Pushing aside the covers, you reluctantly dragged yourself out of bed, a sense of foreboding settling in the pit of your stomach.
Descending the stairs, you followed the sound of soft conversation to the living room, where you found Theo seated beside your mother, a smile gracing his features as they engaged in lively conversation. Your mother sat in her favorite armchair, her knitting needles in her hands, while Theo held the yarn for her, his expression one of genuine warmth.
You stood there for a moment, watching the scene unfold before you, a wave of conflicting emotions washing over you. Confusion battled with longing, and you couldn't help but feel a pang of envy at the easy camaraderie between Theo and your mother. You couldn’t figure out why he was suddenly acting so cold towards you, all of it reminding you of those last weeks you shared with Grady.
As you observed them, a sudden realization dawned upon you, crystal clear and undeniable. It hit you with the force of a revelation, leaving you breathless and reeling. In that moment, you understood the depth of your feelings for Theo, the profound connection that had blossomed between you, unnoticed and unspoken.
You had fallen for him, deeply and irrevocably, in a way you had never imagined possible. The realization was both exhilarating and terrifying, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within you as you grappled with the newfound truth.
Caught in the whirlwind of emotions, you barely noticed your mother's gaze turning toward you, her warm smile inviting you to join them. You hesitated for a moment, uncertain whether you were ready to face Theo right now.
"Good morning, sweetheart," she greeted you, her voice soft and comforting. "Come join us."
With a small nod, you crossed the room to take a seat beside Theo, trying to ignore the chasm of distance that seemed to have grown between you overnight. His smile faltered slightly as you approached, and the view felt like a kick to your stomach.
"Morning," you murmured, your voice barely above a whisper as you glanced at the boy beside you, searching for any sign of the warmth that had usually filled his gaze when looking at you.
He met your eyes briefly before turning his attention back to your mother, his smile returning, albeit slightly forced. "Morning, trouble."
Despite the tension lingering in the air, your mother seemed oblivious to it. She continued to chat animatedly, her happy voice filling the room.
As the conversation lulled, you seized the opportunity to broach the subject of spending the day together. "Hey, do you want to do anything today?" you asked tentatively, nudging the side of his leg with yours.
He hesitated for a moment before he spoke. "Actually, I'll be pretty busy today," he replied, his tone carefully neutral. "Your mom and I have been talking about some things she's been procrastinating on fixing around the house, and I promised her I'd do some of it today."
You couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at his response, though you tried to mask it with a supportive smile. "That's sweet of you," you said softly. "Do you need any help?"
He shook his head, his gaze flickering briefly to meet yours. "Thanks, but I think I'd rather do it alone," he said, his tone gentle but firm.
You swallowed back the hurt that threatened to rise in your throat, forcing a smile as you nodded in understanding. "Okay, just let me know if you change your mind," you replied, though the words felt hollow on your tongue.
Sitting there, the realization of your feelings for him weighing heavily on your mind, you found yourself contemplating your next move. Your mind drifted back to Jake and the casual invitation you had extended to catch up over coffee.
With Theo occupied for the day, the prospect of spending time with an old friend seemed more appealing than ever.Fishing your phone out of your pocket, you scrolled through your contacts until you found Jake's number. With a hesitant finger hovering over the screen, you debated whether to send the text.
"Since you're going to be busy today, I might text Jake and see if he wants to hang out. Is that okay?"
Theo's expression shifted slightly, a hint of surprise flickering in his eyes before he shook his head. "Yeah, that sounds fine.”
You sighed inwardly, feeling a twinge of disappointment at Theo's response, but you nodded, trying to hide any trace of your feelings. "Alright, I'll let you get to it then," you said, forcing a smile.
Walking back upstairs and entering your room, you sank onto the edge of the bed, the familiar comfort of the space offering little solace. Resting your head in your hands, you allowed yourself a moment of vulnerability, the realization of your feelings for Theo crashing over you like a tidal wave.
●・○・●・○・●
As you stepped into the quiet house, the familiar creak of the front door seemed to echo in the silence. The subdued atmosphere enveloped you like a heavy blanket, casting a pall over your spirits as you made your way to the kitchen.
There, you found Theo sitting alone at the table, a steaming mug of hot chocolate cradled in his hands. The soft glow of the overhead light illuminated his features, casting shadows across his face that seemed to deepen the lines of tension etched there.
"Hey," you greeted him softly, your voice breaking the stillness of the room.
He looked up, his gaze meeting yours briefly before flicking away. "Hey," he replied, his tone guarded.
Sensing the tension in the air, you hesitated for a moment before taking a seat opposite him at the table. The silence stretched between you, thick and heavy.
Finally, unable to bear the weight of the silence any longer, you spoke up. "I just got back from hanging out with Jake," you said, trying to keep your tone light despite the undercurrent of unease.
Theo's grip on his mug tightened slightly, though he maintained his composure. "Oh, did you have fun?" he asked, his words laced with a hint of passive-aggression.
You bristled at the tone of his question, sensing the underlying tension beneath his seemingly casual inquiry. "Yeah, it was nice," you replied carefully, not wanting to escalate the situation.
Theo's lips twitched into a tight smile, though his eyes betrayed the turmoil swirling within him. "Good to know," he muttered, taking a sip of his hot chocolate.
The atmosphere in the kitchen grew increasingly strained. You wanted to reach out to him, to bridge the gap between you, but you didn't know where to begin. As you tried to come up with something else to say, your body froze when you heard him scoff.
The noise cut through the tense silence like a knife, leaving you feeling like you'd been slapped. The suddenness of it startled you, and you couldn't help but recoil slightly, a mixture of confusion and hurt flashing across your features.
"What?" you demanded, your voice sharper than intended as you searched his face for any hint of an explanation.
Theo hesitated, his gaze darting away from yours as if seeking refuge in the shadows of the room. "Nothing," he muttered, his tone defensive. "Forget it."
But you couldn't forget it, couldn't shake the feeling that something was deeply wrong between you. "No, I won't forget it," you insisted, your voice rising with each word as you stood up from your chair to round the table. "You've been acting weird since yesterday, and I don’t know what happened. Tell me what's going on, Theo."
His jaw tightened, and for a moment, it seemed like he might refuse to answer. But then, with a heavy sigh, he relented, his words dripping with frustration. "Fine, you want to know what's going on? I'll tell you. I'm tired of this."
Theo's words hung in the air like a heavy cloud. You stood there, staring at him, waiting for him to continue, your heart pounding in your chest.
"Tired of what?" you prompted, your voice barely above a whisper, though it carried the weight of a thousand unanswered questions.
His gaze met yours, and for a moment, you saw the storm raging behind his eyes. "Tired of pretending," he replied, his voice low and filled with bitterness. "Tired of pretending that you're mine when you're not."
His words hit you like a punch to the gut, leaving you reeling with disbelief. "What do you mean?" you demanded, your voice rising in pitch as you struggled to comprehend his words.
Theo stood up from his chair, his movements tense and controlled. "You know exactly what I mean," he shot back, his frustration boiling over into anger. "You keep stringing me along, making me think that there's something between us when there's not."
His accusations cut deep, slicing through the fragile facade of your relationship and leaving you exposed and vulnerable. "That's not fair," you protested, your voice trembling. "I've never tried to lead you on, Theo. I care about you more than anything."
"Then why do you keep pushing me away? Why do you keep going from being all over me when we’re alone to introducing me as your ‘friend’" he countered, his voice rising with each word as he took a step closer to you, his eyes burning with intensity. "Why do you keep pretending like there's nothing between us when we both know that's not true?"
"I'm not pretending," you insisted, your voice cracking as you met his gaze head-on. "I'm just... scared."
Theo's expression softened slightly at your words, a flicker of understanding crossing his features. "Scared of what?" he asked, his voice softer now, almost pleading.
"Scared of losing you," you admitted, the words spilling out before you could stop them. "Scared of ruining what we have because I'm too afraid to admit how much you mean to me."
Theo's anger seemed to evaporate in an instant, replaced by a raw vulnerability that mirrored your own. "I'm scared too," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper as he reached out to take your hand in his. "Scared of letting you go because I'm too afraid to admit that I love you."
In that moment, time seemed to stand still as you and Theo stood there, locked in each other's gaze, the weight of your words hanging heavy in the air between you. The tension that had once divided you now seemed to dissolve, leaving only the raw vulnerability of your shared emotions.
Without a word, you closed the distance between you, wrapping your arms around Theo in a tight embrace. He responded eagerly, pulling you close as if he never wanted to let you go.
"I love you," you whispered against his chest, the words spilling forth from your heart without hesitation.
Theo pulled back slightly, his eyes searching yours with an intensity that took your breath away. "I love you too," he replied, his voice filled with a mixture of relief and longing.
Without another word, Theo cupped your face gently in his hands, his touch tender and reassuring. His thumbs brushed lightly against your cheeks, tracing the curve of your jawline as if committing every detail of your face to memory. You leaned into his touch, savoring the warmth of his hands against your skin.
Drawing you closer, Theo's arms enveloped you, pulling you flush against his chest. You could feel the steady rhythm of his heartbeat echoing in the space between you.
With a gentle tilt of his head, Theo closed the remaining distance between you, his lips meeting yours in a soft, tender kiss. It was a kiss filled with all the pent-up emotions, all the longing, and all the unspoken words that had lingered between you.
As the kiss deepened, you melted into Theo's embrace, your hands finding their way to the back of his neck, fingers tangling in the soft strands of his hair. His arms tightened around you, holding you close as if he never wanted to let you go.
Lost in the sweetness of the moment, you felt as if the rest of the world had faded away, leaving only the two of you suspended in time. Every brush of Theo's lips against yours sent shivers down your spine, igniting a fire within you that burned with an intensity you had never known.
When you finally pulled away, breathless and flushed, you found yourselves lost in each other's gaze once more, jumping at the sound of a voice clearing behind you, bringing you back out of your stupor.
Turning around, you found your mother standing in the doorway, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. Her eyes twinkled with amusement as she observed the scene before her, the tension that had filled the room moments ago now replaced with an air of affection.
"I've been wondering when you two would finally make it official," she teased, her voice filled with amusement.
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but you couldn't help but smile at her playful tone. "Alright, let me do this right this time," you said, gesturing to the boy beside you. "Mom, this is Theo. My boyfriend."
Your mother's smirk widened into a knowing grin as she glanced between you and Theo. "Well, it's about time," she chuckled. With a final wink in your direction, she turned and retreated from the kitchen, leaving the two of you alone again.
You turned back to Theo, a sense of warmth spreading through your chest. "Well, was that better?" you joked, a hint of relief in your voice.
Theo chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners as his hands found your waist again. "Perfect.” With a playful grin, he pulled you into another sweet kiss.

SOCCER!ELLIE WILLIAMS X CHEERLEADER!READER
PART 4FOUR
part 5five
part 3three
mdni please<3
Tumblr media
summary: the news broke you and left you confused. eventually, everything started to clear up and you managed to choose - decide who is trustworthy, and who is bad for you. but did you pick the right person? who was the villain all along?
warnings: language, mentions of cheating, trust issues and manipulating, but i think its minors safe overally!!
writers note: a longer chapter finally and well, things got a little complicated..🫣
Tumblr media
you stayed in your room for the rest of the day. ellie didn't call nor text you, she just let you think, just like you asked her to. the last thing you needed now were interactions with her.
vi, on the other hand, seemed to be curious about how things are now. for the past months you hated her, but now, since she turned out to be innocent, she deserved your reply. you patiently answered her questions, before you received a notification from her with a question that made you freeze.
vi: so are you going to forgive her?
you just stared at the text for a few minutes. that was it, the moment to pick - the person you loved, but probably already moved on with, or the person that loved you to the point she was ready to ruin your relationship to get with you. perfect.
after a long moment, you typed out a 'safe' answer, to avoid choosing any of them; 'what should i do in your opinion?'
you didn't wait long for a response, which didn't help, but also didn't surprise you.
vi: you think im going to tell you to forgive the girl whos responsible for spreading rumors about me cheating? because, honestly, i will, if thats what you want
you sighed, and set your phone down on the table, feeling conflicted. everything you thought you knew was now turned upside down.
ellie, who you had always thought of as a teammate (maybe you weren't on her football team, but you cheered for it, so it counts), had actually been the one to spread the rumors about vi's supposed cheating.
but you couldn't hate ellie, because she had been doing this out of love, not malice. she had loved you so much that she had been willing to go to extreme lengths to get your attention.
was it really fair to blame her for this?
you managed to ignore every notification sound for some time, but eventually you had to turn on do not disturb mode. you fell back on the bed, hoping to get some sleep, despite the early time. that was probably the only option to escape the negative thoughts.
you didn't know how many hours passed, but you were finally on the edge of consciousness when someone knocking fully woke you up. you stood up and brushed your hair with your fingers, walking towards the door. there were many options, maybe it's the postman, maybe your best friend.. right, your best friend! you didn't talk with her for a few days now, the poor girl probably thinks you're mad at her. you wanted to believe it was her, but deep down you knew it wasn't.
there's only two possibilities.
your teeth clenched around your bottom lip to the point you felt a metalic taste of blood on your tongue. you opened the door.
there was vi standing on your doorstep, her arms crossed, as usually, but not in an intimidating gesture this time.
"can i?" she asked, pointing with her chin to the entrance. her voice was soft, softer than you were used to hear from her, as she probably understood how you feel.
you nodded, and opened the door for her. your mind was still in debate, but your body was doing its best to be polite. that could be a good reason why vi had showed up to speak with you.
"sure." you mumbled.
you stood aside as she walked in. she took off her jacket and folded it over her arms, her mouth opened as if ready to speak.
"thanks." she smiled. "are you busy?"
you shook your head, taking a seat on the couch and waiting for vi to start speaking. you knew she wants something, and there was no point in delaying it.
she sat down next to you, her movements were slow and cautious. "i know you're shocked but.. we're worried. me and ellie. i don't talk with her, but it's obvious. we can't wait for your move forever, and everytime we talk, you just.. disappear."
she was right. you did that today, too. you just couldn't stand talking, especially not with them. you didn't know who to believe and, at some point, you didn't believe anything anymore. that's why you missed classes. that was the easiest way to avoid all of the lies.
you snapped out of your thoughts and looked at vi. she looked serious, and even though her voice was soft, her naturally tough appearance ruined the delicate facade.
"sorry." your mind was still in a fog. you didn't know what to do. you couldn't believe that ellie would do such a thing behind your back, but you couldn't be mad at her. "i don't know what to say." you sighed. "ellie told me everything. about how she had been the one to spread those rumors and... it caught me by surprise. i don't know how to feel about it."
vi's expression became serious, but she still tried to remain calm and speak softly.
"do you love ellie?" she asked, staring at you intensely.
you froze, again. the word 'love' seemed too strong, too serious. you were scared of it. plus, vi was your ex girlfriend, and talking about your love life with her seemed inappropriate.
you thought for a few good minutes about the answer. you considered what'll happen if you'd say yes, and what if you'd say no. you also considered saying 'i don't know' or changing the topic.
but you realized you can't answer this question. not because you aren't sure of the answer, but because you aren't sure what does it even mean.
you didn't know what is love. you thought you loved vi, but then again, you got hurt by her. then it turned out it wasn't her fault, but ellie's - a girl you started falling for.
you sighed. "what do you consider 'love' ?"
she frowned for a short second, before looking down. "it's not something we have. i couldn't move on the whole time because- you had to know the truth. now that you know it... i don't think i'm needed in your life anymore. so i won't blame you if you'll forgive ellie. unlike her, i won't slander her just to ruin your potential relationship."
you felt like you need to give vi a proper answer.
"you're right. i don't know what love is. i don't even think ellie knows either. but..." you let out a deep sigh, and looked her in the eyes. "i want to try and find out."
"then you should talk with her." she stood up and slowly walked towards the door, with you following her. "i'm glad we're ending this.. like that."
you nodded. "no hard feelings."
she walked off your house after putting her jacket back on. she stopped at the doorstep, quietly repeated; "no hard feelings", in a pensive tone, before shrugging it off and walking away.
you ran up to your room and picked up your phone. it was something about 4 p.m., you'll make it for ellie's football practice.
────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────────
vi's words had stuck with you, and you felt that you couldn't just ignore ellie and continue your life. you had to talk with her. you had to hear her side of the story, and then you'd make a decision. if you truly liked ellie, you had to give her a chance. and you weren't sure if you do truly like her, but you hoped you'll be closer to finding out after this meeting.
you made your way over to the football field, where you saw ellie with her team. she was chatting up with a few of her friends, all of them seeming relaxed and happy.
you didn't see her since that day, you didn't know how will the conversation go. the rest of the team, also responsible for spreading the gossip, probably figured out why aren't you coming to their practices.
you took a deep breath, slowly making your way to her. she wasn't as happy as the rest of her team, but you were glad to see she didn't completely break, unlike you.
she saw you after a few seconds and quickly walked up to you with a concerned expression. before you could say anything, she wrapped her arms around you, burying her face in your neck. that was a brave move, since you could as well come here to tell her you don't forgive her. luckily for her, the situation was different.
"i'm glad you're here." she whispered, her thumbs softly stroking your back.
you didn't know what to say. you just leaned against her, slowly realising you made the right choice.
"i'm sorry." she added in a barely audible voice.
"don't be." you finally spoke up. "i know you regret that."
she let go of you but her hands stayed on your shoulders, as she looked at you to make sure you really mean what you're saying.
ellie seemed genuinely sorry for what she had done, and you couldn't blame her for that. you knew she was wrong, but you also knew that she only did it because she had liked you.
"well, actually, i think you have all the right reasons to be sorry." you said with a soft laugh, hoping to get rid of the tension. "you know exactly how you made me feel."
you both stood there for a few seconds, as if both of you were trying to process what had just happened.
then, as if breaking a spell, ellie spoke up again. "well, did you at least get to talk with vi?"
"i did." you sighed, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"and...?" she waited for details.
ellie didn't seem to let the words bother her, and she simply waited to hear what you had to say. she seemed to trust you, and she wasn't worried about the outcome of your conversation with vi.
"we're good. she cleared her name and that's all she needed. she won't bother me- i mean, us anymore." you explained with a small shrug, hoping to leave it in the past already.
but suddenly, one of ellie's teammates came closer to you.
"vi cleared her name?" the girl asked with a frown. you nodded, but before you could elaborate, she continued. "since when can cheaters clear their name?" she scoffed, adding a quiet; 'disgusting.'
your gaze hopefully shifted between her and ellie. "i know the whole cheating story was made up, there's no need to play along anymore."
"made up?" another girl, way shorter than her friend, joined the conversation. "i saw her at that party, making out with a girl that.. didn't really look like you."
ellie seemed as surprised as you.
"i thought-" she started but her voice slowly drifted off. you knew what she meant - she thought her teammates made that up, so they could help her, their leader, get you. that's what you thought too.
you felt like you were back at the start of this whole mess, not knowing who or what to believe anymore.
ellie was shocked by this revelation, and her teammates' reactions. she seemed to be just as confused and conflicted as you were now.
"what are you two talking about?" you asked calmly, before turning to look at ellie. "you said you made up the whole fake cheating story. and now you're telling me that it was true?"
you hoped there was an explanation. you hoped that all the drama could end here, but your hopes were low at this point.
"so, you didn't make that up to help me?" ellie asked her teammates.
everyone was confused, making finding out what's the truth even harder.
"no, we really saw vi with another girl. and, well, they weren't just talking." one of them explained, probably as clearly as possible. she had no reason to lie, and the way she spoke made her look honest, so you started seriously considering believing it.
you were at a loss for words. everything you thought was true had slowly crumbled away. you didn't know who was telling the truth, and who was lying.
"so, it's true?" you stared at ellie, who was still trying to figure out the situation. her teammates didn't look like they were lying, but you didn't want to believe it either. "it's all true?" you repeated, but your voice was softer this time.
"all? i don't know." the first girl spoke up again. "but what i know, is that vi's a fucking cheater."
the disgust was obvious in faces and voices of both girls, making everything even more believable.
so breaking up with her months ago was a good decision, even though the last days made you doubt it? why was she so nice to you earlier today, then?
she wasn't. she wanted you to 'forgive' ellie, not because she was so sympathetic, but because there was nothing to forgive. ellie didn't lie, though even she thought so. plus, vi hoped you'll focus on your new girlfriend, and forget about the past. she hoped you won't find out the truth, especially not when she finally made you believe the true rumour was fake. you started to understand everything. vi was the villain the whole time. and the worst part is that you knew that, yet she still managed to change your mind and clear her name.
you catched ellie's gaze, making an eye contact with her. you could hear her mumbling her usual 'jesus''s. she really thought she's a liar for talking about vi cheating, and she was right the entire time.
or.. was she, really? what just happened?
you rubbed your eyes and pinched your skin, but nothing happened. this wasn't a dream.
i think this was actually a little obvious so probably no ones shocked;( but still !! should we just ignore it and live our life with ellie?? or should we get revenge?? im open to yalls ideas<3<3

Sooo I was thinking…what about Rick X Daryl’s little sister reader! Like Rick def knows it’s wrong and he tries so so hard not to give in but…maybe he does??
(i’m sorry this took so long! <3)

Rick knew he was wrong. Messed up in the head. Sick. Perverted.
I mean you were at least ten years younger than him and you were his best friend's little sister.
He was wrong for thinking of you in such an intimate and sexual way.
You didn’t think much of it. The desire to protect you, put your life before his— you thought he was just a gentleman and because you were Daryl’s little sister, he should take care of you.
In all honesty, you thought he saw you as a little girl. Someone who needed protection and help. A burden almost. The only reason he stuck his neck out for you was because if he didn’t . . . your brother would never forgive him, right?
You didn’t think at all it was because he was attracted to you. After all, he couldn’t stop his cock stirring in his jeans when he saw you, when you bent over for something, when your sweet smile played at your lips (completely opposite from your brother), when those doe eyes looked up to him, ready to follow any order he gave you. Hell, when you made eye contact with him he became weak. You made him weak.
He did his best to divert his thoughts from you. He didn’t want to think of you in such a sexual way, especially as you were so innocent and naive.
But that was it. He wanted to corrupt you, he wanted to ruin your innocence, he wanted it to be him and not some sleazy asshole who couldn’t please you the way he could.
So when he saw you flirting with a guy your age at the welcoming party at Alexandria, he was mad, to say the least.
That should be him. You should’ve been laughing at his jokes, looking up at him, pressing your tits in his direction. But you weren’t.
And Rick was going to do something about that.
So when you left that boy to grab another drink he took that as his opportunity. Almost hesitating when he looked in Daryl’s direction, but he was already too busy surrounding himself with beer.
You were on your own, a cup in your hand filled with whatever liquid you’d picked up— something strong.
“Hey, sweetheart.” Rick approached, standing in front of you.
You smile politely, “Oh, hey, Rick.” Looking up to meet his eyes, he was a couple of inches taller than you.
“Having fun?”
You nod your head, lips wrapping around the edge of the cup and taking a sip. “Yeah, you?”
His eyes turned dark, a subtle smirk pulling at his lips. “Not fun watching you with that asshole.”
Confused, you reply, “Who, Louis? He’s nice.”
The man scoffs, “I’m sure he’s nice.” His grip on the beer bottle tightened. “He just wants to fuck you.”
You almost spit out your drink at his vulgar words, smacking his bicep. “Rick!”
“It’s true.” His hand pressed over yours which was gripping the counter. “He can’t treat you the way I can. He can’t take care of you like I can.” His hand moves further, rubbing up and down your forearm. Rick leant in closer, so he could whisper in your ear. “Haven’t I taken care of you?”
“Yeah, you have.” You nod.
It seemed like he was debating his next words, you missed the subtle glances cast to your older brother and twitch of his lips.
“. . . So he can’t fuck you the way I can.”
Heat rose to your face, cheeks turning tomato-red as your knees became weak. You were stunned, not expecting that from the older man.
Your words came out all jumbled and stuttering.
His hands moved to your hips, pulling you in closer. “C’mon, baby. You wanna go somewhere private.”
This felt wrong. His was much older, he was your brother's best friend yet you found yourself nodding at his words. Feet moving on their own accord as he led you out of the house and towards his own, up his stairs and into his bedroom.
He practically threw you down on the bed. Climbing on top of you and holding your face in his calloused palms. “Do you want this?”
Your nod couldn’t have been any more eager, you felt a bit pathetic.
“Use your words, sweetheart.”
“Y-yes, yes I want this.”
That was all the conformation he needed to strip you of your clothes, leaving you laying there in just your pink panties.
You felt a little shy, the way he was eyeing your body. He was fully clothed and you were almost bare.
“So, so pretty, baby.” He peppered kisses to your neck, sucking in places that had you moaning, trailing down to your collarbone and licking a strip in between the valley of your breasts. Taking a nipple in between his teeth. Just to tease and watch your face screw up in pleasure.
His hand roamed between your thighs, two fingers tracing over the small wet spot that was seeping through your panties. He rubbed circles over your clit through the cotton, legs subconsciously clamping shut around his hand.
However, his free hand came up to push them open, this time pulling the panties down your legs and stuffing them into the back pocket of his jeans.
Your fist grabbed ahold of his shirt, attempting to pull it over his head.
And when it was off your fingers were immediately working at his belt, struggling to get it undone as Rick laughed at you.
Pressing a kiss to your lips and guiding your hands to your side. So he could do all the work.
Soon his belt was off, along with his jeans and his cock was swiping through your folds.
Fingers tangled in his hair as you moaned into his mouth— you felt like you could cum from just the feeling of his dick barely touching your cunt.
“Rick, p-please.”
“Please, what?” He taunted, his thumb rubbing up and down on your trembling mound.
“Please, just- just fuck me.” You attempted to shove your face into the pillow, though he didn’t let you. Forcing you to look right into his eyes as he entered you. Stretching out your tight little hole whilst your fingernails clawed at his back.
But he payed no mind to that, only focusing on your beautiful face as you took all of him.
“Fuck, baby. You’re so tight.” He groaned, forcefully pulling you into a sloppy kiss.
You moaned into his mouth, taking that as his chance to slip his tongue through your lips.
Tears weighed at your waterline, head lolling back in pleasure.
“‘s like this pussy was made for me, sweetheart.”
Your legs wrapped around his torso, feet connecting at the base of his spine. “I-I’m gonna cum! I’m gonna cum!”
You announced, your juices already spilling out and soaking your thighs along with the sheets. Rick's release soon followed, spurting his cum inside of you. You could feel the warm liquid filling you up.
Your body was trembling as he pulled out, admiring the mess of yours and his cum seep out of you.
He suddenly became eye level with you.
“You think he could make you cum like that?”

Pairing: Vanessa Shelly x Reader
Warnings: None, just no use of y/n
Summary: Vanessa visits you for your first shift.
Word count: 1.4k
Authors note: This is my first fic and post so please don’t expect anything spectacular! This will be a short series. I’m aware this chapter is short, I plan to make future ones longer. Please enjoy :).
As you settle down into your nightly watch, you notice that the eerie silence of the Pizzeria is more pronounced in the late hours of the night. Your mind starts to wander, and you begin to imagine hearing faint, faint noises coming from the nearby arcade machine. But you shake off the unease, attributing it to the late night fatigue.
The rhythmic noise of the rain outside lulled you into a sleep. A part of you knew you shouldn’t be dosing off on job but you couldn’t help it. A buzzing sound suddenly startled you awake. After rubbing your eyes, you glanced over at the monitor checking the cameras, a buzz of confusion washed over you. Sure enough, there was a woman at the door. What could she possibly doing here at this time of night? Once more, you heard the buzz, and decided to investigate.
Upon opening the door, you were greeted by a very attractive uniformed police officer. The blonde looks you up and down and speaks, “About time. Starting to think you were sleeping on the job.”
You pause for a moment, debating whether or not to be truthful with the attractive uniformed police officer. After a brief hesitation, you decide to play it safe. "Sorry, I assure you, I wasn't sleeping on the job officer," you reply.
Vanessa flashes a smile at you. "Vanessa, and you must be?" she asks, cocking her head slightly and she pulls her hood off. You hesitate to give away your name. "The new security guard?" Vanessa probes. You nod nervously. “Yeah that’s me.” Vanessa flashes a playful grin at you after your response.
"Well, don't be too nervous, New Security Guard," she teases gently. Your nervousness grows as Vanessa reaches toward your name tag. "What's your name, anyway?" she asks, her voice full of playful banter. You shift nervously, after a brief hesitation, you finally respond and tell her your name.
Vanessa beams at you, her playful demeanor softening into a more gentle kindness. “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
You pause for a moment, debating whether you should invite her in or play it safe and keep boundaries. However, her playful energy and charming smile slowly wear away your hesitating doubts, and you decide to take a leap of faith.
"Would you like to come inside?" you ask politely. She hesitates for a moment, perhaps surprised and taken aback by your offer. However, she quickly regains her composure and flashes a smile at you. "Sure, why not?" she replies cheerfully.
You step aside and offer a polite gesture for Vanessa to enter, signaling for her to come in. She flashes a grateful smile and enters the building, her footsteps light and gentle as she gracefully steps inside. You close the door behind her.
Vanessa followed your lead, stepping inside the dimly lit pizzeria. The familiar smell of grease and old memories filled her nostrils as she looked around, her hazel eyes scanning the surroundings.
“Wow it’s so quiet in here,” Vanessa remarks looking around curiously. “I can almost hear a pin drop.” She glances at you, a playful smile forming on her lips.
You consider for a moment how best to respond to her teasing and playful nature. Perhaps a bit of banter would help ease the tension. "Of course, I try my best to keep things calm and quiet during my shift," you reply with a subtle flirtatious smirk. "Well, it seems like you're doing a great job," Vanessa teases softly, walking further into the building.
As Vanessa walks further into the building, you can't help but notice her playful smirk. Her cheerful demeanour and flirtatious banter makes your heart skip a beat. You notice that the tension between you has increased, and you find yourself trying your best to maintain composure and professionalism. However, Vanessa's teasing nature makes it difficult to resist her charm.
"So," Vanessa begins, turning to face you again. She leans against a nearby counter, crossing her arms over her chest. "What's the scariest thing that's happened to you during your shift?" She asks, flashing you a playful smirk and raises her eyebrow, expecting an entertaining story.
You pause momentarily before answering Vanessa's question, thinking of the scariest situation you've experienced during your shift. “Well nothing crazy so far, just random noises - that checked out to be nothing.” You say laughing slightly and you sit down in the chair. Your laughter breaks the tense atmosphere between you and Vanessa, eliciting a delighted giggle from her.
“I guess that's good," Vanessa's voice softens as she speaks, her playfulness giving way to a more serious tone. "But don't let your guard down. You never know what might happen in a place like this." You sense that she means what she says, and you can't help but wonder what kind of dangers lurk within the Pizzeria.
You pause for a moment, deciding how you should answer. You playfully respond, "Hey, who said anything about letting my guard down?"
“Just being careful," Vanessa replies, giving you a reassuring smile. Her voice is soft and sincere, and you can't help but feel a warmth spread through your chest.
Despite having only just met Vanessa, you couldn't help but be drawn in by her likeable personality. The longer you talk with her, the more you feel an intense pull towards her. Not only are you attracted to her looks, but you feel a strong desire to get to know her on a deeper level. As you glance across the room, you find your gaze lingering a little longer on Vanessa, your heart racing with butterflies.
As you wondered if Vanessa felt the same way about you and if she was even attracted to women, you felt a rush of uncertainty and anxiety. You questioned whether or not your “feelings” were mutual, and whether or not Vanessa even saw you in that way.
You shook your head out of your thoughts as you heard Vanessa's voice, trying to regain your composure. Instead of dwelling on your feelings towards Vanessa and her orientation, you decided to focus on the conversation at hand. Whether or not Vanessa felt the same way was of little concern to you right now, and you decided it was best not to dwell on these thoughts. Instead, your attention was drawn to Vanessa's voice, which you found oddly soothing.
Vanessa leans forward slightly, her hand gently brushing against her other wrist as she asks, "So, what got you into being a security guard?" Her voice is slightly lower, her tone shifting towards a more serious undertone.
As her tone shifts, you feel a bit shy and self-conscious under her curious gaze. Your mind immediately starts to conjure up possible responses, and you decide to keep your answer brief and simple.
"Well, I've always been interested in security and protecting people. I've also had a passion for technology and surveillance, so being a security guard seemed like the perfect job for me." You try to maintain your composure as you answer Vanessa's question, your heart racing slightly.
Vanessa glances at you for a moment, her curiosity satisfied with your answer. She smiles and looks away, brushing her hair out of her face. "That's nice," she says softly, her tone slightly more flirty than before.
Then, she takes a small step towards you, her flirty expression returning as she whispers, "Well, I hope you're prepared to protect me from any trouble tonight." She giggles lightly, her playful tone breaking the tension that had been building between you. You feel a flush of heat across your face, your heartbeat quickening slightly as you realize that Vanessa's flirtations may not be all just playful banter.
“Ah yes, I promise you protect you from any trouble.” You tease back, as you lean back in your chair.
Vanessa laughs playfully and leans back slightly, placing one hand on her hip and the other on her chin as she considers your response. "Oh, you promise to protect me? Well aren’t you just my hero." She teases gently as she grabs her belt.
You can't help but let out a light laugh as you glance at the monitor and then back at Vanessa. You've grown to enjoy her company. As you smile at her you feel a warm and tingly sensation deep in your stomach, your cheeks flushing with a subtle reddish-pink hue.
As Vanessa watches your light laughter and smile, she lets out a breathy giggle and her heartbeat quickens slightly. She can't help but feel the same way about you, and has also grown to enjoy your company. She admires the warmth and tenderness in your smile, and she can't help but feel a flicker of butterflies stirring in her stomach. As she leans forward slightly in your direction, she's aware of the subtle tension that's building between the two of you, and it's making her heart race with excitement.

Prologue: The Great Debate
Anxiety thrums through your body as you fidget with the knot of his tie. The intrusive thoughts are creeping in, but on the outside, you remain cool, calm, and collected.
"Please tell me why I have to wear a purple tie again?" He asks you with a huff.
You roll your eyes as you begin the same speech you have before every other debate. "Democrats wear blue, Republicans red, you're an Independent, so—"
"You wear purple to show that you're the perfect mix of both," He groans as he finishes your sentence.
You look up to him with hard eyes. You don't miss the flash of a genuine smile across his face before some television assistant comes to remind you that you have five minutes until he needs to be in place.
"Alright. This is the last debate before voting begins. By some miracle of God and my amazing campaign managing, you're ahead in the polls. Don't fuck this up for me." You tell him as you smooth out the arms of his suit.
"Don't fuck it up for you? I'm the one who is going to be in the Oval Office dear." He smirks at you.
"And I'm the one who is getting you there, and who is going to your Chief of Staff,— dear. So, like I said, don't fuck this up for me." You smirk back.
One more debate, you thought. You had to get him through one more debate and a few last-minute campaign stops, and then all your hard work would pay off.
If everything went according to plan, Lieutenant Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw would be the 47th president of the United States, and you, Y/N Wiseman, would be the youngest Chief of Staff to ever serve at just twenty-nine years old.
"Roos, Wise-woman, yall about ready?" His running mate, Lieutenant Jake 'Hangman' Seresin called out. "Or are you two still fighting over a tie?"
"We're good, Jake," you reply as you step back to admire your handy work. You've done a good job.
Bradley is in a dark grey suit with a deep plum colored tie. His silver watch is smart, but not flashy. His dark brown shoes offer a nice contrast to the suit without clashing. His sandy brown locks are styled to appear neat but casual. His mustache is trimmed to give him an edge of maturity.
It was something that most men his age didn't need, but being thirty-five and running for president, it was necessary for him. If elected, he would be the youngest to ever serve.
No, not if. When he is elected, he will be the youngest to ever serve.
"Alright, let's get this show on the road." You clap your hands. Bradley and Jake follow you out of the room. Bradley is directed to his mark while you and Jake find your seats.
You hear the welcoming music as the moderator steps on stage and beings speaking to the cameras. Applause and cheers cry out as the candidates step up to their podiums.
You take a deep breath. This is it. These next two hours are going to make or break over a years worth of work.
If someone had told you a year ago that the two former Navy pilots turned politicians, you met in a D.C. bar who hired you because of a bet were weeks away from winning the White House because of you, you would have laughed in their face.
But one game of pool, several beers, tears, and sleepless nights later, it was happening. It was so close, you could almost taste it.
.........................
"Oh my God you fucking killed it out there man!" Jake smacks Bradley on the back as soon as the three if you make it back stage from the debate.
Jake was right. Bradley did kill it out there. Your phone is already blowing up with Google Alerts from various media posts declaring him the winner of the debate.
His stances on education, heathcare, immigration, and the military blew his competition out of the water.
Frankly, he didn't have any competition because the other two candidates could only seem to focus on how young he was or his military background. Neither of them spoke much on their policies. Instead, they chose to try and poke at Bradley's past. However, that proved to be fatal for them.
America had rallied around Bradley's tragic childhood of losing his father at two, then being raised by a single mother, who died when he was barely nineteen. Bradley hadn't wanted to play the orphan card, and you really tried not to, but when he was lacking the polls, early in the campaign, you did what you had to do. He was mad at you for weeks but changed his tune when he saw the numbers.
One candidate, Reece Johnson, had tried to frame Bradley and Jake as monsters and killers since they were former military. You quickly rewrote the narrative, painting them as heros who received the medal of honor during their last flight mission. Bradley for risking his life while saving his captain and late father's best friend, and Jake for saving them both.
Every time someone tried to tear them down, you would swoop in and save them. All the while, running a clean campaign for them.
You were broken out of your thoughts by Bradley calling your name.
"Y/N. Hello. Earth to Y/N Wiseman." He waves his hand in front of your face.
"What?" You ask him. "How did I do?" He asks you. You can tell that he values your opinion. No matter how much he gets on your nerves or how much he grumbles. He needs to hear what you have to say.
"You didn't fuck it up for us." You tell him. A smile breaks out across his face. "I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me Wise-woman." He grins.
"Don't get used to it." You shoot back. "Alright, we need to head back to the hotel. We have an early flight to North Carolina tomorrow, and then a few more stops on the East Coast before we head to the Southwest." You remind him and Jake.
They nod their head and grab their belongings.
"I'm going to head to the parking garage and put my things in the SUV. Chapman, Davis, please make sure Mr. Bradshaw and Mr. Seresin make it down safely. Could you also alert Taylor to be waiting for us at the car?" You ask the secret service agents assigned to you three.
"Yes, Ma'am. Would you like an escort?" Davis ask you.
"No, I'll be fine. No one goes after the campaign manager." You joke before waving him off.
......................
You'd just gotten to the parking garage to put your things in when Taylor, your driver, informed you that he'd left his coat upstairs. You assured him you would be fine as he went to retrieve it.
You'd just finished putting your things in the trunk when you heard someone call out your name.
"Y/N!" A voice shouted. You turned around just in time to see a masked person standing a few feet away from you, with the barrel of a gun pointed directly at you.
Your breath caught in your throat. You didn't know what to do. You were frozen.
"Y/N! You bitch! You cost me everything!" They screamed at you. You heard them draw back the hammer of the revolver before they took their aim.
"GUN!" You head someone shout.
It all happened in slow motion. You couldn't fully process what was happening until it was all over.
You heard the deafening bang of a gunshot.
You felt a strong pair of arms wrap around you and pull you into them and down on the ground to safety while two men in black suits charged at the figure.
You watched with blank eyes as they tackled the person to the ground and wrestled the smoking weapon out of their hands.
Your ears were ringing, but you were vaguely aware of someone calling your name.
"Y/N! Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Bradley shook you.
Suddenly, you realized he was the one holding you.
"I—I'm alright." You stutter out just as you hear the click of cameras followed blare of police sirens.
"You—you saved me." You stutter, fully trying to process the situation. More cameras clicked as the press was making their way out of the venue and witnessing what happened.
Suddenly, it hit you. You had been shot at. Bradley and broken away from his security to save you. He had ignored protocol to protect you. He'd put his life on the line for you.
By now, the media and police were swarming around the two of you. Snapping picture after picture of the two of you while asking question after question. You knew those photos would be on every major news outlet, and the story of his heroism would go viral within hours.
As he helped you up, two things crossed your mind.
One, you were thankful to be alive.
Two, you'd just won the White House.
Eeeekkkk! Babes! I hope you enjoyed this first part! I'm excited to here your feedback!

Inspired by this post by @kedreeva (I’m not sure I quite did the original prompt justice, but hopefully some of the emotion comes across.)
***
It’s been a while since Steve attended a high school party. It feels weird to go to one now, a year out from his own graduation, but Robin was insistent.
“Please Steve? Vickie invited me to come, but I don’t want to show up on my own – what if she’s busy and I end up standing in the corner by myself like some kind of loser?”
She knows that she doesn’t actually have to work so hard to convince him, but that’s part of the routine. Robin begs and pleads, and Steve agrees after making a big show of complaining about it (as if he wouldn’t walk through fire for her).
“Fine, fine! But you owe me one.”
“Yesssss, thank you!”
Now, as he surveys the crowded interior of Robbie Ferguson’s house, he thinks she owes him more than one. This isn’t just a high school party – it’s a band party. He doesn’t see a single familiar face in the crowd of high school students and recent graduates, although odds are most of the people here will recognize him. And the memories probably aren’t fond ones.
“Robin!” he hisses through his teeth.
She rolls her eyes at him. “They’re band geeks Steve, they don’t bite.”
He gives her one of his most annoyed looks, and she backpedals.
“I know, I know,” she says sheepishly, “but look! Eddie is here!” She points toward the corner of the room. Sure enough, Eddie is standing near the punch bowl with Gareth, Jeff, and Dave. He’s abandoned his usual layers in the summer heat, wearing just a red flannel shirt over a black tank top.
Steve is surprised to see him. Even though Eddie was cleared of all charges, there have still been some rough moments; a few holdouts causing trouble (mostly friends of Jason Carver). It’s made him understandably hesitant to go out much.
So to see him here, enjoying a party with his friends – it’s good. Really good.
“I take it that dopey grin means I’m forgiven?” Robin asks slyly. She knows all about his crush, teasing him whenever she gets the chance.
“Nice try,” he grumbles. “You’re covering all my shifts with Keith for the next two weeks.”
Before she can protest this outrageous demand, Vickie finds them.
 “Robin, you made it!”
It’s Robin’s turn to be distracted, melting like chocolate under a summer sun as Vickie links an arm through hers – which is Steve’s cue to step aside.
“I’ll be over there with Eddie.”
Robin nods without looking, still gazing lovingly at Vickie. Steve snorts and heads for the punch bowl.
He grabs a solo cup and ladles in some of the vibrant red punch, wincing when he takes a sip – that shit is strong. Someone laced it a little too generously with vodka.
“Steve!” Eddie chirps when he joins the group, raising a cup in salute. “Look who it is gentlemen – our illustrious majesty, the former King of Hawkins High himself!”
Steve tries to hide his wince. He hates being called that, even if Eddie’s bright grin does take some of the sting out of the teasing. He taps the rim of his cup against the one in Eddie’s hand and says, “How many of those have you had already?”
“Too many and not enough milord,” Eddie says, slinging a friendly arm around his shoulders. Steve leans into the touch, just a little, and nods in greeting to the rest of the Hellfire club members. Jeff and Dave smile back politely, but Gareth just scowls - nose wrinkling like he’s smelling something foul. Even after all the time Steve’s spent hanging around lately, Gareth still hasn’t warmed up to him.
As usual, Eddie ignores the tension between them, launching into a discussion about how the newly released Aliens movie compares to the original. Since they recently watched both movies together, this is a conversation Steve can actually participate in.
It’s devolved into a heated debate on the merits of sequels in general by the time Robin and Vickie join them.
“Are we interrupting?” Robin asks drily.
“Not at all,” Eddie replies smoothly. “I know you’ve got some strong opinions on the art of cinema Buckley, what do you think of…”
“Annnnd that’s enough of that,” Steve interrupts. If the two of them start arguing about movies, they’ll be at it for the rest of the night (as Steve knows from unfortunate experience). “Who’s your friend?”
A vaguely familiar blond followed the girls over, watching the boys with wide eyes.
“Oh, this is Claire! She’s a flute player – she’ll be taking over as first chair next year.”
That means absolutely nothing to Steve, although he nods like it makes total sense (ignoring Robin’s knowing snort of laughter).
Claire seems happy to meet Steve, but she clams up when the rest of the gang is introduced – which leads to everyone standing around in a moment of awkward silence.
Surprisingly, Dave is the one to come to the rescue. “We should play a game. Truth or Dare maybe?”
The girls glance at each other and nod, and Steve shrugs. It’s certainly not the worst party game they could choose.
With a stop to refresh everyone’s punch, they migrate to the screened porch at the back of the house and settle into a circle on the floor.
It ends up being a lot of fun. The last time Steve played was with Tommy and Carol, and they were brutal about it – daring people to streak through the house or take hot sauce shooters until they puked. This game is much more lighthearted.
Although that’s not to say Steve doesn’t still have a bit of mean streak.
“Eddie, I dare you to sing Careless Whisper by Wham.”
“Ugh, critical hit!” Eddie yelps and falls to the floor, writhing like he’s been fatally wounded. Steve laughs and nudges his hip with one foot.
“Come on, you have to sing – or else you forfeit.”
“Have you no mercy? I thought we were friends.”
Steve just grins and starts humming the melody. Robin, Vickie, and Claire all join in until Eddie concedes; standing up to belt out the hated song with gusto. He makes it to the first rendition of the chorus before he collapses into helpless giggles.
“I don’t know, does it count if he didn’t sing the whole song?”
“It counts, it counts!” Eddie gasps.
The game continues in that vein - until Claire chooses ‘truth’. “Hmmm,” Vickie says thoughtfully. “Have you ever had a crush on anyone at this party?”
It’s the sort of question that could easily be answered with a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ – no need for any revealing details. But Claire stares straight at Steve, fluttering her eyelashes flirtatiously as she says, “I think every girl at Hawkins had a crush on King Steve. I heard girls talk all the time about what an amazing kisser he is.”
Robin rolls her eyes and turns her head, pretending to gag. A year ago, Steve would have jumped at the chance to flirt right back. Now, it just makes him uncomfortable. Claire is like most of the girls he’s been with before - curious about his reputation, attracted by his looks or his popularity or his parents’ money. Completely uninterested in him as a person.
He wants to glance at Eddie, get a read on what the other boy might be thinking; but he’s afraid of what he’ll see. Or maybe afraid of what he won’t see – that Eddie will be totally unaffected by the fact that some girl is blatantly flirting with Steve right in front of him.
He doesn’t have long to worry about it, because Gareth is up next. He clears his throat loudly and points at Steve. “Truth or Dare Harrington.”
There’s no right answer here – Gareth is clearly eager to fuck with him, whatever he picks.
“Dare.”
The look of unholy glee in Gareth’s eyes should have been Steve’s warning.
“Well now that we’ve heard all about King Steve’s magic mouth, I think we need a demonstration. I dare you to kiss…” he draws it out, moving his finger around the circle like he’s taking his time deciding.
Claire looks eager, Vickie looks slightly uncomfortable, and Robin looks like she’s staring down the gullet of a slobbering demogorgon.
Don’t pick Vickie or Robin, he thinks fiercely. Don’t you do it. If Gareth picks either Vickie or Robin, his ass is toast. He doesn’t particularly want Claire all over him, but it would be the better option by far.
He never even considered the possibility that Gareth would choose… “Eddie!”
Steve must have had more to drink than he thought, because his head is suddenly spinning. He hasn’t felt his stomach drop like this since he was locked in a Russian elevator, plummeting to an uncertain fate.
The group erupts with shouts and laughter. Eddie jumps to his feet, waving his arms around grandly. “I see I’m collateral damage here! Guess I’ll have to take one for the team!” He bows and laughs, the same way he did when dared to sing Careless Whisper.
He’s so… casual about it. Totally unphased.
This is all a joke to Eddie. It doesn’t mean anything – not like it does for Steve. Everyone in the group just laughs and laughs, as if they wouldn’t look at him in disgust if they knew he wanted to kiss Eddie for real.
He meets Robin’s eyes briefly across the circle - the only one here that knows what’s going on in his head. She looks like she’s in pain.
Steve swallows hard and reaches for the cool, casual mask he used to wear so well. This is a game – just a party game. Exactly like the time he kissed Tommy on a dare at Jimmy Allen’s birthday party. He can do this.
He smirks and stands up, keeping his shoulders loose, subtly wiping his clammy palms against the rough denim of his jeans. He and Eddie face each other in the center of the circle.
The older boy has a faint smattering of freckles over the bridge of his nose, and a tiny shaving nick by the corner of his mouth, near the scar that traces his jaw. His lips are so full, the prettiest mouth Steve’s ever seen. He doesn’t dare even look into those dark eyes.
Just a quick kiss and done, easy – no big deal. Steve licks his lips reflexively, wishing he’d put on some Chapstick or something, before he starts to lean forward. But then Eddie pretends to swoon, pressing the back of his hand to his forehead like some southern belle in a movie.
Would he be this dramatic if they were kissing for real? Steve’s imagined it so often, a different way each time – sometimes soft and tender, sometimes silly and fun; just like Eddie.
He certainly never imagined the laughter in the background, or Dave shouting, “Come on man, do it already!”
Steve freezes. At the urging of his friends, Eddie takes the initiative and steps closer – until he’s stopped by a hand pressed flat against his chest.
“Stop. Please stop.” Is that Steve’s voice? He didn’t mean to say anything - but with that crack in composure the whole mask starts to fall apart, like a dam splitting open.
“I can’t do this. Not… not like this.”
Eddie frowns in confusion.
Of course he’s confused – it’s just a game. Everyone was having fun until Steve had to go and ruin it. He choked on the dare, and now he’s even tearing up - like an idiot, right in front of everyone.
There’s no salvaging this. He ducks away with a mumbled excuse about needing some air, practically running from the house. Hopefully everyone is tipsy enough that they’ll all just forget about it in the morning.
He doesn’t make it very far before he hears Robin behind him.
“Steve! Hey… wait up!”
He stops at the edge of the yard, where the house lights fall away into shadow, and waits for her to catch up.
“Are you okay?”
“Sure.” Even he can hear the choked waver in his voice.
“Steve…”
“It’s okay Rob, really.” It’s far from okay, and they both know it. “I think the punch just went to my head.”
They stare at each other, sharing one of those silent moments of communication that Dustin always points to as proof that they share a telepathic bond.
“You should go home then,” she says softly. “I’ll catch a ride with Vickie.”
He’s sure she’ll want to talk about it later, but for now… she’s giving him an out. “Thanks Rob.”
He watches until she’s back inside, just breathing in the smells of fresh-cut grass and a nearby cigarette – deep breaths in and out. Then he finds his car (thankfully not blocked in) and hightails it home.

aemond x stark reader. trip back to winterfell, aemond is possessive of the reader. one bed
Tumblr media
A/n: this was kinda shit plus I think Aemond would be possessive even towards readers family cuz to me he comes off like the type.
When word was sent that you were requested to return to Winterfell, you knew Aemond wouldn’t be too pleased. So when you retired to your chambers for the night, only to be greeted by the prince sat upon the edge of your bed, his face blank of any and all forms of expression. You figured it would be best to be done with it before he found out on the day of your departure and make it everyone’s problem.
“Aemond, my heart.” You began as you made your way to his side, reaching for his hand to not only ground him but to also prepare yourself for what’s to come. “I received word from my father this morning,” you paused briefly to gauge his reaction, secretly relieved in seeing that his face remained neutral. That was up until you spoke about your father, and all in the of a single breath, that Aemond almost couldn’t quite catch it. “I’m coming with you.” He said in a way that implied that there would be no further debate.
“He asked for me and me alone.” You rebutted but Aemond didn’t seem to care as his single eye stared challengingly into your own, “then he shall have to make due with me accompanying you. After all, he’ll have no choice but to get use to me sooner or later.” He gripped your chin within his hand, thumb rubbing back and forth against your jaw, as he skimmed over your features that were highlighted by the fireplace almost possessively. “For I do not plan on letting my betrothed to go where I can not follow. Understood?” You sighed defeatedly, knowing that once Aemond’s mind was made up it was near enough impossible to change it.“Understood.” You replied. “Good, now get some sleep, we’ve got a long journey ahead tomorrow.” Aemond finalised, pressing a kiss against your forehead and pulling away, letting go of your chin as he began to undress himself for bed.
As the snow embedded landscapes of Winterfell came into view, you suddenly felt distraught at the fact that you wouldn’t be able to recognise your own home, after being away from it for so long. Despite being buried under the copious amount of furs you never felt more rigid in that moment; KingsLanding was a sauna in comparison to Winterfell, which felt like how you imagined hell freezing over would feel like. Glancing over at Aemond, you noted that despite proudly proclaiming to house the fire of a dragon in his veins; it seemed that even the mightiest of dragons were forced to bow to the harsh winters of the North. “What happened to all that tall talk my dear Aemond? Scared of a little cold?” You teased as a means in giving your overworked mind some ease.
“Dragons aren’t built for the cold.” Aemond replied, looking out of one of the carriage windows and over the vast expanse of glimmering white that seemed to stretch endlessly far and wide. “Wolves, however, are.” He adds with a smile directed your way that warmed you up from the inside. Aemond reached a hand over to grasp yours reassuringly, “it is also believed that wolves can smell fear,” he adds, “so don’t allow yourself to get so intimidated by the what ifs and focus on the present.” It always seemed to elude you that the brazen and bold prince before you could uphold a conversation that didn’t dissolve into ceaseless violence and bloodshed. It also seemed to elude you that he was just as well versed in the political and philosophical as he was well versed in the art of swordsmanship.
Though before you could voice your thanks, you were already in the courtyard where your family was waiting in their regal furs. Their smiles only widened when they saw you step out of the carriage. “Y/n!” They cried when you got close enough for them to draw you into a warm hug before pulling away, “by the gods you’ve grown.” Your father said as he compared his height to yours, a habit he developed when you were just a growing child, “hope your claws haven’t dulled during your stay in KingsLanding.” He adds. You scoffed, falling back into old habits, “oh they’ve tried, soon enough they discovered I wasn’t so willing to being a bed warmer.” Your father gaufed, clasping you on the shoulder as you smiled back at him as the worries you had slipped away quietly from your mind.
“That’s my child.” Your father’s eyes then shifted back to the carriage when he noticed someone else exiting, his smile filling dropping from his face when he noticed the platinum blonde hair of Aemond Targaryen. “I thought I told you to come alone, Why’d you bring Aemond one eye.” Your father asked, his eyes never leaving Aemond as he approached you both and tucked his hand comfortable to your waist, drawing you to his side. “It’s an honour to meet you Lord Stark, when my y/n told me of your letter. They’ve spoke of you in nothing but the highest of regards. I merely wished to accompany them on this joyous reunion.” Aemond said as he smiled at you before returning his gaze to your father, who despite his distain, smiled tightly as he clasped the prince a little too harshly on the shoulder. “Had I known before hand that you were also coming we would’ve rectified some accommodations a bit that would…besuited the needs fit for a prince.” Aemond merely waved his hand dismissively while he chuckled as though your father told him a funny joke.
“There will be no need for that Lord Stark. I assure you, me and your child are more then accustomed to sharing during their stay with me in KingsLanding.” Aemon states with pride as your fathers eyes merely darken at every word that left his mouth. His fists tightened at his side and he jaw would clench periodically the longer he was forced to listen to the pompous Targaryen. Had he knew that this was the man he has sent you away to one day marry, he would’ve reconsidered and kept you within Winterfell in search of a worthier man such as your childhood friend, Sebastian. You didn’t know whether you wanted to die out of embarrassment right then and there or hide out of fear of what your father would do should Aemond continue. However seeing as neither option would give you much reprieve, you instead gripped Aemond’s arm whistle flashing him a tight smile.
“Aemond my heart, why don’t we get settled in for the night. My father must be exhausted from all the preparations he put into our arrival.” You said, drawing their attention away from one another and on to you instead, relinquishing the tension between the two of them, if only by a little. Aemond seemed to ponder on this a little bit before squeezing your waist, “of course my love, besides you must be tired from the journey here yourself if I’m not mistaken.” “Oh yes, absolutely flabbergasted.” You immediately took advantage of Aemond’s suggestion, finally having an excuse to not be left standing in the courtyard longer then you wanted on your first night back home. All the testosterone was giving your a headache. “Go on ahead child, I’m sure you know where your room is after all this time?” Your father asked as he began to internally dread this week and all it will entitle.
“Of course I do,” you replied, leaving Aemond’s side to hug your father once more before bidding him farewell as you returned to Aemond to drag him by the arm all the up to your room; Shutting the door cautiously behind you before looking over at the smirking male as he sat upon the edge of your bed. “Aemond, my heart, what the fuck was that all about.” He shrugs his shoulders, “I have no idea what your talking about y/n.” You scoffed, walking towards him so that you were in front of him, “so your not going to tell me why you were having a dick measuring contest with my father. Not even mere seconds after arriving.” Aemond grip your waist, bringing you even closer to him. “I don’t plan on wasting our stay here by sharing you with your father. If he wanted to see you, he could’ve visited us, not the other way around.” You put your hands on his shoulders, pulling away from him slightly so you could look him in his eye. “Why am I less to believe that there is more then your letting on.”
Aemond smiled, knowing he couldn’t have anything slide pass you without having you catching on, “your right to think that because had I let you go alone, your father would’ve called off our annulment and have you married to Sebastian Arryn instead despite already having a well known alliance with them for awhile.” He lifted himself off the single bed to rest his forehead against yours, “but don’t you think that we’re more better suited as a couple? As proud children of our respective houses and the children of ice and fire. It as though fate had decided to conjoin the opposing forces through us.” His voice narrows down to a whisper as he held your hand against his own to look adoringly at the size difference between the two of you.
“It doesn’t matter who I have to cut through to prove my love for you, the fact still stands that I will denounce everything to be with you. If your family, friends or even old lovers wish to get between that then…” he trails off to look into your eyes before pulling away entirely, “I shouldn’t have to tell you what will happen to them, you are more then aware of the consequences to befall those who try to take you away from me.” You remained still whilst he buried himself beneath the covers of your old bed, knowing fully well to never question Aemond’s loyalty like you would’ve in the past. Back then you were terrified to have a man borderline obsessed with you to the point he would gift you an ex-lovers head in a box. Now however you’ve grown to find solace in knowing the extent Aemond was willing to go to prove his love. The power that this granted you was almost infinite if you were to include Vhagar to the picture.
It was dangerous but after some time you’ve learnt to love living dangerously quite quickly. You began to undress yourself before making yourself comfortable, shuffling closer to Aemond until your head was resting on his chest and your hand was splashed out against his chest. His warmth was enough alone to bring you to a sleepy state. “Do you promise to love me like this until we die?” You asked him, causing the hand he had on your back to stop tracing shapes into your skin, “such a sill thing to make me promise to,” Aemond says, pressing a kiss to your head where he lingered there for a little longer, “I have always loved you like this ever since we met at the tourney for your hand, despite my hatred for them I knew I couldn’t let you be with anyone other then me.”

// MINORS DNI // DO NOT STEAL OR REPOST MY WORK

You felt your heart drop in your chest. The conversation was not going to be free of hostility. Unsure of how to answer, you locked eyes with him, letting your expression soften into one of remorse.
“I like it. The blonde.”
He gave a small nod. “Thank you.”
You looked around nervously, debating whether you should just get up and leave. He wasn’t going to give up without a confrontation or an apology, both of which were off the table for you.
“I’m gonna go order,” he said, smoothing down his top as he stood up. “Americano?”
You nodded, studying the pattern of the table below you. “Yeah, thanks.”
As he walked down the stairs to the counter, you replayed your thoughts in your head. This was going to be a colossal waste of time if you didn’t drop the cool girl act and just communicate with him like a normal human being. Not even your arguments with Mark were like this, so why were you so averse to doing the right thing? After all, it’s not like you were going to stay at your parents’ place for longer than a week. All of this would be out of sight and out of mind in due time, and you were determined to make it end on a positive note.
When Felix returned, he held two iced americanos in either hand, clutching a small paper bag of croissants in the crook of his elbow.
“Thank you,” you said as he carefully set yours in front of you. The rich, warm scent of both calmed your nerves a little as you took a sip of your coffee and nibbled a bite of the pastry.
Felix sat back in his chair and rested a slender hand on his cheek as he looked at you.
“What?” you asked, worried you’d gotten something on your face.
He shook his head. “Just looking.”
“You’re staring,” you replied, a bashful smile growing on your face for the first time all morning.
“I can’t stare?” He inquired.
“I guess you can if you want to. It’s just a little odd, is all.”
He cocked his head slightly. “I’m catching up on five years of changes. I promise I’m almost done.”
“Okay, okay. I digress.” you said, taking another sip of coffee and staring back at him.
Felix’s hair was much longer than it was all those years ago, reaching just below the nape of his neck. His face was also much slimmer, and he looked rather intimidating with his carved-out jawline and hollowed cheeks. But his eyes were still soft, his button nose still a focal point of his beauty, and his lips even plumper and more pink than you’d remembered.
“You look good,” Felix said in a voice barely above a whisper.
You felt the heat rushing to your cheeks, suddenly more aware of your own appearance, and smiled politely in response.
“Thanks. You look good, too.”
Felix took a sip of his coffee, and then his face turned serious again.
“You… never called.”
You furrowed your brows at him, surprised at how quickly the conversation had changed pace.
“I tried you a couple times. Never heard back.”
You did your best to remain calm, feeling angry at the audacity he had to accuse you of being the one to cut him off. He’d been the one with a time change, phone restrictions, and a whole new life to adjust to. As far as you were concerned, he’d transformed into a completely different person- whether he wanted you to remain in his life was up to him entirely.
“You did? When?”
You shook your head with a dismissive smile.
“When? I don’t know- some time and date five years ago?”
“You didn’t try again after that?”
At this point, you could feel yourself getting pissed off.
“Why would I? I’m not even one to double text- what makes you think I should’ve tried for five years straight? I have a life too, you know.”
He ran a hand through his hair, smoothing down the longer bits and tucking them behind his ears once again.
“I guess… I just thought we ended on a different note than we actually did.”
You cocked your head. “And what note was that?”
He exhaled sharply through his nose. “I don’t know, every day for a whole summer it’s like you can’t get enough of me and now you want to pretend I don’t exist?”
You scoffed at the absurdity of his words, although he had a point.
“So I was supposed to keep trying your cell for five years straight because of some fleeting thing that happened half a decade ago? And where were you in all of this? You had a phone, too.”
“I told you it’d be some time after my trainee period. When I didn’t hear from you, I figured you just didn’t care to talk.”
You rolled your eyes, scoffing again. “Jesus Christ. Was I supposed to be sending an owl every week? Sorry I didn’t get the memo.”
“I didn’t know you needed a memo to remember who I was.”
“I know who you are!”
“Then why are you acting like it never happened?”
You sat back in your chair, angry thoughts racing around your mind.
“Because!” You exclaimed, trying to compose yourself as you finally let your thoughts out.
“Because what we had wasn’t supposed to ruin our friendship!  You left to be some mega-rich celebrity and I had to work my ass off to make a life for myself, only to never hear from you again. And now you’re back and I don’t know what it is that you want from me, but if it’s the same thing you wanted all those years ago then you can forget this little meeting ever happened. I’m not some side piece you have when you’re not filming commercials or singing on stage. Believe it or not, I have a life outside of whatever the hell this is.”
He shook his head in disbelief, and a silence washed over both of you. You glanced around the floor, hoping nobody heard any of that. The other diners seemed to be wrapped up in their own conversations, and you felt a minuscule sense of relief.
“I can’t believe you think that’s why I came back. Even back then.”
You stayed quiet, feeling defensive and irate.
“We never should’ve done it in the first place,” you said, lowering your head.
He swallowed a lump in his throat.
“You really feel like that?” Felix asked.
You gave a small nod, holding back frustrated tears.
“Yeah, I do. I wouldn’t have to spend my adult life running from such a stupid mistake.”
Felix’s lips pulled into that same thin-lipped expression of hurt, and he raised his eyebrows.
“Okay. If that’s how you feel.”
Without another word, he pushed out his chair behind him, and gathered the mostly-full drink and crumbs of his unfinished croissant.
You remained seated at the table as he gave you a small bow and made his way to the stairs. And then he was out of sight, for the fourth time that week.

You probably cried for hours that night. It was getting old fast, this torturous act of hurting Felix and then feeling guilty for hours on end. But you couldn’t help the way you felt about the whole situation.
You’d seen the interviews, watched the way he filmed alongside beautiful Korean women and traveled the world to perform in front of thousands of pretty girls. He had the world at his fingertips, and yet he used the brief moment of time you slept with him as a weapon against you- as if he hadn't moved on several times before all this. Moved on to a new place, a new life- probably even several other women.
When you’d finally begun to doze off to sleep, after hours of battling a pounding headache, a startling noise woke you up again.
Three brisk knocks on your window- just like they’d always occurred.
Your heartbeat quickened, and you looked at the clock while still adjusting to the atmosphere around you. It was just past midnight. You crawled out of the comfort of your bed, fixing your hair briefly and pulling up the blinds to get a good look.
Felix stood against the dark night sky, casually dressed in a light gray hoodie and track pants. His hands were shoved in his pockets, head hung in deep remorse.
When you opened the window and looked at him, his glossy eyes suggested he’d been crying too.
“Hi,” Felix said quietly. “Can I come in?”
You complied, stepping aside as he hoisted a leg over the sill and climbed into the small space of your room. It felt like old times, only this time it was tainted by tension and your caution so as to not overstep boundaries.
You sat on the edge of your bed, and Felix found a seat on the desk chair across from you.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I was angry. And I let my emotions get the best of me.”
You chewed on the inside of your lip, an anxious habit that made itself known whenever you had to tear your own walls down.
“I reached out because I cared about you,” he continued. “Five years ago. And I still do. I had zero intention of sleeping with you. It just happened. And it’s not going to happen again. I never would’ve just used you for sex. Part of me wants to think that you know that, too.”
You began to cry even again, wiping tears with the back of your hand. You knew he was right, and you didn’t actually believe that. His intentions had just gotten blurry with him being so far away.
“Hey…” he said, finding his way next to you and wrapping you in a warm hug. “I’m really sorry I hurt you. I was just being selfish.”
You gasped through tears at his words. “I could never forget you,” you blurted out, almost pleading for him to unlearn whatever you’d made him think before. “And I don’t think you used me for sex. It’s just… overwhelming having you back. I don’t think you realize how fucking hard it was for me when you left.”
Felix wiped a tear from your cheek with his thumb. “You don’t think it was hard for me, either? I wanted to tell you so much. I wanted to call you up every chance that I got, but I couldn’t. And then when I didn’t hear from you I thought… I thought maybe I just cared more than you did.”
You shook your head. “I cared, too. Don’t ever think I didn’t care.”
Felix nodded, a kind of light in his eyes at your admittance.
“Can I stay for a bit?” Felix asked, hoping he wasn’t overstepping his boundaries by inquiring. “Nothing weird, I’ll even stay on the floor. I just want to catch up. As friends.”
It was your turn to nod, sitting back against the headboard and pulling your blanket up to your waist. He sat cross legged facing you, both of your gazes meeting each other with curious smiles. And for a small moment in time, you were those careless kids all over again.
*
You don’t remember Felix leaving, but he did. You also weren’t sure when you’d fallen asleep. Beams of sunlight shining over your eyelids woke you up, and your room was quiet and vacant except for a small note on the desk.
Y/n,
Had to leave for a family thing. See you later tonight?
PS- you still snore
-Felix
You chuckled lightly at the note, remembering the way he’d teased you about that back then.
You’d thought it to be a dream for a second, gripping the note firmly in your hands to remind you it was in fact, real. Felix had been here last night, and you finally didn’t want to cry at the thought of seeing him again. In fact, it excited you.
At breakfast, you thought over the conversations you had last night. Felix told you about his trainee days, long ones spent studying Korean and practicing dances in small, crowded rooms. He recounted the shows he was on, expressing the premature grief he’d felt at almost getting  completely eliminated. He told you about the members, eyes filling with joy as he described them in great detail and summarized their seven starkly different personalities.
He told you about how much he’d missed his sisters, how long plane rides finally didn’t make him nauseous anymore, and how he felt much more natural being blonde.
And about how he thought of you every time he stopped at a McDonald’s. He also still used his raspberry chapstick, on his third tube now. And he missed you.
“I never forgot about you. Not once,” he said honestly. “I stopped getting Oreo mcflurries because they tasted so much like you. It was a flavor I wanted to preserve in that little time and space. I feared I’d… lose it.”
You bit back a smile from across the bed. He always had a way with his words, but hearing the details of your relationship with him so eloquently relayed back to you made your head spin.
“We’ll I’m sorry for ruining your favorite McDonald’s order,” you’d said back to him in a joking tone. You didn’t want to give him the wrong idea by entertaining the narrative too much. You kept it platonic.
After all, you still had Mark waiting for you back at home. As your mind snapped back to Mark, your eyes shifted around the room in a panic. It’d been days since you heard from him, and he never answered your last text. In a sudden panic, you reached for your phone and began to dial him, before hanging up and thinking it over. You desperately needed a new set of clothes, and it wouldn’t hurt to check on the apartment.
So after a quick shower and some breakfast, you grabbed your keys and started off toward the apartment again. Not quite ready to return to the place of tedious routine.
*
As you unlocked the door, an overpowering scent filled the room, making you scrunch your nose in displeasure.
“Mark?” you called out, scanning the room for him.
The kitchen was a mess, dishes piled high in the sink with remnants of previous meals all over them. The table was sprawled with unopened mail and- beer bottles. You knew instantly.
“Mark?” you called again, growing angry at the state of the apartment.
As you made your way into the living room, you finally saw him. Sprawled on the couch, a beer bottle clutched in his hand as a loud game of baseball echoed from the tv.
“Mark? Why is the place so messy?”
He said nothing in response, fixated on the screen in front of him, bringing the bottle to his lips to take another swig of beer.
“Mark?” you said again.
“Jesus- stop saying my name like that, I have a headache.”
Your heart dropped at his tone.
“Yeah, because it’s not even noon yet and you’re already piss drunk. What’s going on?”
He waved a hand to dismiss the conversation.
“No, none of that,” you said. “Tell me what’s going on with you.”
He kept his eyes glued to the game, the commentator’s words drowning out his slurred reply.
“I dunno. Have the place to myself considering my girlfriend left me. Just wanted a beer.”
“Left you?” you said in sheer disbelief. “I’m staying with my parents for a weekend and you think I left you?”
He shrugged. “You left me a while ago. You never want to sleep together anymore. We’re hardly even in the same bed, and when we are, you don’t tell me anything. You don’t visit me at work anymore. We haven’t gone on a proper date in forever. You’re always… gone. Even when you’re here, it’s like you’re not really here.”
It was the first time he sounded sober so far. Your heartbeat quickened with anxiety, as you weren’t prepared to be put on the spot like this.
You took a seat beside him timidly, folding your hands in your lap.
“Is that what this is about?”
“That’s what this has always been about!” he shouted, and you jumped in your seat. “Just say you don’t want this! Any of this,” he said, gesturing to the environment around you.
You shook your head. “I’m just stressed. I still want this, I want you.”
“Then why don’t you fucking act like it?” he questioned. You felt your eyes welling up with tears.
“When have I not acted like it?”
“When you decided your work was more important than us.”
“I have never once put more value into my job than our relationship. You know that. Just because we haven’t had sex or cuddled in a little while doesn’t mean I’m not still here.”
Mark threw his arms up and let out an exasperated sigh, beginning to cry.
“I lost my fucking job,” he said suddenly, hot tears streaming down his face
“You- What?” you said, mouth slightly parted in shock.
He buried his face in the palms of his hands, letting the beer bottle rest on his knee.
“They let me go.”
“When?” you asked, turning your body to face him more.
“Couple weeks ago.”
“Weeks?” you repeated. “Mark, why didn’t you tell me?”
He slouched further back into the couch. “I’m a fucking loser.”
“You’re not a loser,” you said. “You’re going through a tough time.”
You scooted closer to him, enveloping him in a hug and rubbing his knee soothingly.
“Where have you been if not the lab?” You asked suddenly, remembering he’d been gone for hours each night consistently.
He rolled his eyes, pulling away from you. “Does it matter?”
You squinted. “I’m just wondering.”
Mark shut his eyes, taking another swig of beer and ignoring your question. “I need a nap.”
You got up from the couch, gathering the garbage that surrounded him and making your way back to the kitchen.
“I’m gonna clean a little and grab my things. I just came here for a change of clothes.”
Soft snores emitted from the living room.
You spent the better part of your day cleaning the apartment and organizing Mark’s stuff. You probably threw away dozens of takeout boxes and empty beer bottles, pinching your nose at the stench they left behind.
When things seemed habitable again, you grabbed a fresh set of clothes and left the apartment, careful not to wake a sleeping Mark on the sofa.
*
“You don’t know how long I could stare into your picture, and wish that it was me”
After stopping by your favorite ramen place for dinner and running a few errands, you returned to your parents’ amidst the rush of traffic, looking up at the vast navy sky. It was already nearing nighttime, and you knew Felix was visiting tonight. You’d be lying if you said it wasn’t the only part of your day you were looking forward to.
You showered again, washing the smell of beer and old takeout off your skin. And you dressed up in a cuter set of pajamas this time, matching your tank top to your shorts and completing it with a silky French braid.
You were glad you had remembered to grab a few books from your nightstand at the apartment, settling down under your dimly-lit lamp to continue one you had already started.
And just past midnight, three knocks came from your window.
Felix climbed in with ease, setting a bag down on your desk and slipping off his sneakers. He looked fancier than you’d ever seen him before, light wash jeans accompanying a fitted black shirt and a leather jacket. You bit back a smile at the sight, wishing he’d owned it back when you were allowed to rip it off him.
“Hey,” he said with a smile, sounding out of breath.
“Hi,” you replied gently. “What’s with the fancy outfit?”
He chuckled. “We went to this dinner thing. I dunno, I think I just overdress wherever I go these days.”
You smiled up at him. “It looks good. Maybe overdressing is a good thing.”
“Yeah?” he said. “Maybe.”
You took your seat on the bed, resting against the headboard and crossing your legs.
“How was your day?” he asked. It reminded you of when he’d catch up on your day between hungry kisses before you got intimate. Part of you wished it was still that way.
You shrugged. “Not the best.”
“Why?” he said, furrowing his brows and sitting across from you, also cross-legged.
 “Just… a lot. Back home.”
He cocked his head. “Back home? Wait so you don’t… you don’t live here anymore?”
You audibly laughed. “You thought I stayed in this dingy part of town? In this empty room? Of course not!”
“Where do you live then?”
“I’m on the south side, a little drive out from here. I just came to say hi to my parents for a bit. And to get a break from…” your voice trailed off.
“From?” he said, urging you to finish.
“From… my boyfriend.”
Felix felt his heart sink.
He knew you agreed to remain friends. He knew he had an obligation to keep things platonic. He knew how you felt about what happened before. But he still held on to a sliver of hope that you’d be single by the time he came back to visit. Wishful thinking indeed.
“Ah, boyfriend,” he said awkwardly. “That’s cool.”
You nodded. Sensing the awkward tension in the air, you changed the subject.
“What’s in the bag?”
He glanced over at it, shrugging casually. “Baked you a few things. There’s some brownies, lemon tarts and salted caramel cookies. Though I think I needed more caramel on those.”
You grinned at him, shaking your head. “You’re exactly the same. Still got a thing for baking. And spoiling people.”
He smiled back at you, a glint of sadness in his expression. “I never stopped.”
The night was spent catching up once again, you getting more glimpses into his life as an idol, and him learning all about your job and its attributes. Felix was careful not to bring up any topics that might lead back to your boyfriend, still feeling overwhelmed at the mention of one in the first place. Call it immature, but he was undeniably jealous.
Yet every time the room fell silent, his mind wandered back to that minute detail. What did he look like? What did he do for work? How often did the two of you have sex? Were you in love?
Questions he wished he could pry and get an answer to, but ones he knew would push you away. So he kept silent, engaging in surface-level conversation that hardly satisfied his need to understand you.
At half past two, you let out a yawn, feeling your eyelids getting heavy.
“Tired?” he asked, licking a cookie crumb off the tip of his thumb.
You nodded, stretching out your legs and pulling the blankets over you. You fluffed your pillow before resting a hand below your cheek and laying on it, staring up at Felix who still sat across from you.
He swallowed nervously, admiring the way your long lashes blinked up at him so innocently. He remembered that from years ago, a little move that always drove him crazy.
“You want to stay?” you asked quietly.
He swallowed again, feeling his ears get hot.
“I… don’t want to make it weird. Especially with…” his voice trailed off. He couldn’t bring himself to circle back to the boyfriend topic.
“It’s not weird. We’re friends,” you explained. “You can just take the other side and we won’t cuddle or anything.”
Felix’s heart raced at the suggestion. Though he would have preferred cuddling, even as friends, he couldn’t bring himself to decline your offer. He wanted nothing more than to hear your snores as you drifted off to sleep beside him.
“Okay,” he finally replied, removing his jacket and running a hand through his hair.
“You still have a change of clothes in the left drawer,” you said in a sleepy voice. “And your toothbrush is still in the bathroom.”
Felix successfully found the change of clothes, comfortably slipping into them and brushing his teeth with the familiar blue toothbrush you always kept for him.
When he returned, your lashes fluttered open, smiling up at the sight of him. “Cute,” you said quietly.
He felt his heartbeat quicken. There it was again- that feeling he got in the pit of his stomach when he had to remind himself to keep it platonic. Not to smother you with kisses, not to hold you while you slept. But to behave the way a friend did- one with a friend he was wildly attracted to, who also now happened to have a boyfriend.
“Thanks,” Felix said, trying his best to sound nonchalant.
He slipped into the bed next to you, pulling the blankets up to his torso and staring up at the ceiling. It was a sight he wasn’t used to, locking eyes with the white canvas above him. Normally he’d lay on his side, arms wrapped tightly around you, legs lazily hoisted over yours as he pressed little kisses to your face and whispered sweet nothings in your ear.
The feeling felt strange, unnatural, even. Like lying beside a stranger in a foreign place. Not to mention the new addition of clothes- normally, Felix would get himself cleaned up and change into a clean pair of boxers. Sometimes, he wore nothing at all. The white t-shirt and patterned shorts were among the new developments in your friendship with him.
“Need to charge my phone,” he said suddenly, sitting up and reaching for his phone from beside him.
“Would you plug mine in, too?” you said, eyes still shut as sleep began to wash over you.
He reached for yours, balancing the two phones in one hand as he made his way across the room to a spare outlet. First he plugged in his own, the little chime confirming the outlet worked. And then yours- the glow of your lockscreen making him squint against the brightness. He glanced over his shoulder at your sleeping frame, small breaths emitting from your mouth as you dozed.
A growing curiosity led him to tap the screen as it dimmed again, examining the photo set as your background.
It was a man, presumably your boyfriend, dressed in a black jacket and a snug black beanie, smiling at the camera as one slender hand gripped a spoonful of ice cream.
Felix felt his stomach churn. He carefully observed all of his features- big brown eyes, dark slanted brows and a strong, masculine jawline. He was handsome- hell, he was hot.
Felix painfully imagined the scenario that preceded the photo. First date? Second date? Hundredth date? Did he kiss you before, or after the picture was taken? Had the same spoon been used to feed you ice cream? Did you already live together at the time? What was his reaction at the photo finding a place on your lockscreen?
Felix clenched his jaw. He hoped the guy appreciated you making the photo a permanent part of your routine. The same photo you’d look at when you woke up in the morning, the same photo you’d look at right before going to sleep at night. The photo you’d see before dialing your mom or dad. The photo you’d see if Felix were to call.
As he sat observing the photo, refreshing the dimming light for a third time, a small buzz caught his attention. There on your phone, a text banner covered the guy’s face. Felix scanned it briefly, knowing he really shouldn’t be prying in your text messages like this.
Mark: Sorry about today
Felix raised an eyebrow. It must’ve been the guy on the lockscreen. A little heart emoji next to his name confirmed his suspicion. Another text came through as he finished reading.
Mark: I should’ve told u
He frowned. Told you what? What had happened before he came over tonight? Is that why you seemed upset?
Mark: Sorry for yelling. Thanks for fixing the place
Mark: I’ll explain when you get back
Mark: I don’t deserve you
Felix scoffed silently. At least he knew that much.
Mark: I still love you
And then he froze. The four words made his heart stop briefly.
He knew you’d been seeing someone new. He knew you weren’t single, and that you and him were not going to hook up. Let alone be in any form of an intimate relationship.
But he hadn’t considered that the two of you were on “I love you” terms. The thought of it made his throat dry. You were entirely in love with someone, and it wasn’t him. It was never going to be him. For a fleeting second, Felix considered leaving. There was no reason to be here- in bed, asleep next to someone he’d felt so complicated about. He’d just grab his things and disappear out the window, probably never coming to visit you again. The presence of Mark in your life would likely fill the microscopic hole that was the absence of Felix’s.
“Felix?” you said in a whisper. “Are you coming to bed?”
And he melted at the sound of your voice all over again. Giddy at the thought of being close to you again, of smelling your familiar scent and waking up next to you when Mark surely wouldn’t.
“Coming,” Felix replied. “Just letting my mom know I’ll be late tomorrow.”
And before he could think it over any further, he slipped back into bed beside you. Hands folded over his chest, staring up at the ceiling that now seemed much more inviting than the thought of leaving you to sleep alone. The picture of Mark was etched in his mind like a painful tattoo, and he winced when he remembered the texts you would wake up to.
But not before you slept beside him first, gracing his presence with your light snores and sweet scent. Something Mark wouldn’t get for at least tonight- and for that reason alone, he was satisfied.
*
“I dreamt I was standing in your doorstep, licking sweat off of your forehead, with your finger in my mouth, and the sound when leather jackets hit the ground”
Labored breaths escaped your parted lips as you slept, turning over in discomfort.
You’d fallen asleep hours ago, Felix following shortly after. And quickly, he found his way into your dreams.
Maybe it was the absence of intimacy between you and Mark, or maybe it was that stupid leather jacket Felix had worn tonight. Either way, your mind was clouded with images of it, painting vivid pictures of it on the floor between you.
Felix towered over you, blonde hair falling into his face as he tilted your chin up to meet his, pressing wet kisses to your lips and neck. Your hands remained at your sides, waiting for him to take the lead.
An eager hand snaked up your frame, finding its way to your mouth, where he interrupted the kiss by sliding a slender finger into your lips. You sucked obediently, never letting your eyes lose sight of his.
When you’d soaked him in your spit, he guided you backward to the bed, desperately parting your legs and inserting two fingers into your aching sex. You gripped his forearms with pleasure, moaning against his lanky figure and begging for more.
He hummed at your noises, pressing the hardness in his boxers against your core. When you gasped in response, he stood up again, running a hand through his hair as you watched him pull the waistband down lower, lower…
Your own gasps woke you up, pausing at the realization of how much you’d sweated onto your sheets. Felix was sound asleep on the pillow next to you, his chest rising and falling gently with his snores.
You glanced at the time. It was just past 3. Felix had not even been asleep for a full hour, and yet here you were having lewd visions of him fingering you in the very spot you slept. You quietly slipped out from the covers, strolling to the bathroom and shutting the door behind you.
You didn’t bother turning on the light, afraid you would wake Felix and cause him concern so late at night. Instead, you pushed aside the curtain in the bathroom window, allowing silver-blue moonlight to illuminate the room around you, observing your disheveled appearance in the mirror above the sink. Beads of sweat glued curly strands of hair to your forehead.
Still aware of the heat in your core, you pulled down your shorts, and then your panties, quietly gasping at the sight. They almost peeled away from your wetness, stringy white lines of desperation disappearing on to the soaked spot where your longing for him made itself known.
All it took was that stupid leather jacket, and here you were, almost cumming at the sight of him in dream.
You couldn’t help yourself, letting one finger circle the pool that had accumulated between your thighs. The panting began gradually, as your mind wandered back to where you’d been so rudely interrupted in your dream.
You continued the fantasy of his boxers being pulled fully down, eyebrows arched in pleasure at the thought of his cock springing out, all hard and leaky and ready for you. In consciousness you’d probably tease him, a gentle hand caressing his length as you’d coo little compliments up at him, admiring the way he could barely contain himself.
You’d bend yourself over the side of the bed, instructing him to use you, to fuck you hard, until he was satisfied. And he would, his length finding its way to your aching pussy, rubbing his wet head over your clit until you were begging to have him inside you.
You could feel yourself getting close as you fantasized when he’d slide into you, his erection stretching you out the way it did all those years ago. You’d promise with pleading in your voice that you’d let him use you whenever he wanted, however he pleased, so that you’d get used to his familiar size and shape again.
And he would smile between hard thrusts, picking up the pace as his hand would find its way to the small of your back, rubbing a thumb along your skin soothingly before leaning over and pressing a wet kiss on your shoulders.
Your moans would fill the room, saying his name like a prayer you’d repeat again and again, the four walls around you teeming with echoes of wet skin and filthy words.
And that same gentle hand would caress your throat as he found his release, this time inside of you. He’d shower you with praise the way he always did, his deep voice making your skin tingle as he pressed little kisses to your neck and ear. And you’d kiss away his tears, staying close to him until sleep called your name.
As your mind drifted back into reality, you brought a finger up, observing the way you’d made a mess of yourself right in front of the sink. You parted two fingers curiously, white cum glistening under the moonlight.
How pathetic. You’d been the one to establish boundaries again. You’d been the one who specified this was a platonic occurrence.
Yet here you were, masturbating to filthy thoughts of him while he slept in the room next door, knowing very well you had a boyfriend waiting for you back home.
After getting cleaned up, you found your way back to the bed, crawling in next to him like a guilty sinner. He turned to face you in his sleep with small breaths escaping his parted lips.
Felix looked like an angel at this time of night. But the thoughts he gave you were anything except saint-like.
*
Felix had to leave again in the morning, waking you up as he sat up in bed and stretched beside you.
“Felix?” you said, memories of last night flooding your head all over again. You hoped he didn’t hear you in the bathroom.
“Didn’t mean to wake you,” he replied, his raspy morning voice sending shivers down your spine. “Have to go get some stuff done today.”
You turned over so that you were facing him and stared up at him through groggy eyes.
He tucked his hair behind his ears, looking down at you and giving you a small smile. The sunlight kissed his blonde hair, setting it aglow and making it appear almost white. His eyes were puffy with exhaustion, but his smile exuded that of a restful night.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked.
You thought back to a few hours ago.
“Yeah. Better than I have in a while. You?”
He rubbed an eye, nodding. “I feel less tense.”
“Good,” you said. Maybe his dream self relieving some tension had carried over into his consciousness.
“Do you want to do something tonight?” Felix asked suddenly. “I mean, like, go somewhere? I feel bad that we’ve only been catching up at ungodly hours of the night and then I have to leave.”
You reached a hand out, playing with a loose hem on his shirt. “Yeah. That sounds nice.”
He smiled again. “Cool. I’ll pick you up at around 6? We’ll go somewhere fancy.”
You nodded, shutting your eyes again.
Without another word, he was out of the bed, pulling on his clothes from yesterday and neatly folding the pajamas before storing them back in the dresser.
“Don’t forget your jacket,” you said, giving him an amused smile as he pulled it off your desk chair and draped it over one arm.
“Oh yeah, thanks,” Felix replied.
And with a small wave he disappeared out the window again, leaving you to the vacant room with thoughts running rampant.
*
“I guess it’s different ‘cause you love him, but I’ve got an interactive sick and twisted imagination”
It was no use. Felix couldn’t behave like a normal functioning human when he wasn’t around you. Nor when he was around you. His mind wandered back to that photo set as your lockscreen- of Mark holding a spoonful of ice cream, looking handsome and intimate.
As he sat in the backseat of the van, his mom talking the family’s ear off about plans for his sister’s upcoming graduation, he gritted his teeth remembering the texts.
He wondered if you read them yet, and how you felt about them. Maybe you were elated to hear from Mark, traveling back to the apartment to make love to him and accept his half-assed apology. Maybe you had already broken up with him, finally realizing your true feelings for Felix and waiting up for him in bed like you used to, only this time madly in love.
Felix felt like such a loser. He could no longer deny the way he felt about you, constantly wondering what you were doing when he wasn’t around, who you were interacting with, and how often you thought of him. He’d give anything to crawl around in your mind and find out how you felt about him now that things were this different. He probably would’ve snooped through your phone last night if it wasn’t locked, to find a trace of him, and come to the absurd conclusion that you wanted him just as badly as he wanted you.
Felix glanced down at his phone, opening Instagram for the millionth time today and clicking on your user. You didn’t use it much, but the 18 little squares did provide a window into your life without Felix, and he hated it.
He hated to see you in a short dress at a club he wasn’t aware of. Hated to see your graduation photos, ones he wished he would’ve received when they were taken.
Hated to see the pictures you had with Mark. One whole carousel dedicated to him, ten random photos you selected for a birthday post. A selfie of the two of you in bed, a funny picture of him wearing a face mask, a photo from when he let you make little braids in his hair and posed for you. And another photo from that same ice cream date, a different angle, but just as handsome and intimate as the first time.
Felix clicked on all the same photos, reading the captions over again, stalking users from the comment sections and piecing together who they were in relation to you. But it was no use. No amount of obsessive stalking was going to make you like him. You had a life without him, beyond what you had five years ago. You’d been right about that.
Felix sighed, locking his phone again and thinking back to last night. He’d been so ecstatic to spend the night by your side again. It felt like home. He felt safe.
He hoped you didn’t notice the erection that troubled him early into the night. He’d been forced to focus on his breathing patterns, moving as far away from you as possible to not get aroused by your sleeping figure. He remembered you getting up at some point, a brief interval of time which he felt empty and exposed without you in your bed. When you’d returned, he felt his heart could burst, suddenly overjoyed at the reminder that you were here beside him in your bed. And that it would remain that way until morning broke. Each passing minute worried him, and he so badly wished he could freeze time and stay with you in your bed forever.
“Felix?” a voice interrupted. He snapped his head up to the mirror, humming in response to his mom.
“Should we coordinate so you can stay at the cabin with us? Or do you want your own room?”
His sister’s graduation. She’d planned a few days with her friends to stay by the lake, and most of Felix’s family would be at the neighboring cabin.
“Oh, uh… I dunno, I was planning something with a few friends.”
“That’s okay,” she responded. “I know you have a lot you wanted to do.”
Her voice trailed back to the topic of their plans, and Felix’s mind wandered back to you. His family being away meant he had you to himself for a few days, and he wouldn’t have to leave you in the mornings. He bit back a smile at the thought of staying in bed with you all day. Even just as friends.
But the change of plans meant he had to organize something special tonight. Dinner? A movie? The two of you seldom saw movies together back then, always leaving 20 minutes in to go get busy in his car. He wasn’t even sure if you still liked all the same restaurants.
But he did have one thing in mind, and he hoped it would help you forget all about Mark.

When you woke for a second time, it was well past 11. You rubbed your eyes of sleep, surprised at how tired you’d been all week. Last night’s events really relieved your stress- maybe a little too much.
You made your way to your phone, several notifications catching your eye.
Ten total texts from Mark, a few from last night, the last one being just an hour ago.
Mark: Call me when you can
Mark: I want to talk
Mark: Can you come over at all?
Mark: Sorry
You furrowed your brows, the texts ringing several alarms in your head. The constant apologies, the urgency to speak with you. The fight hadn’t been that bad, right? Did you remember it differently?
And one from Felix, who seldom texted you. The two of you were still getting acquainted with speaking through little messages like this- you didn’t have to in the past because you were always together. Phone calls were your preferred method of communicating with him if anything, but his texts were always so innocent, and knowing he was thinking of you made you smile.
Felix: 🐣
The little emoji made you giggle, momentarily forgetting about Mark’s eagerness to speak with you. You shot him back a little emoji in response, settling on the sun, representative of both the day outside and his presence in your life. Sunshine.
You put your phone face down on the bed again, gathering your clothes and toiletries for a shower. You had to go see Mark, and something told you it was going to be a long, long conversation.
After a quick shower and some breakfast, (or lunch, rather), you were off to see Mark again.
*
The apartment was beginning to look messy all over again. There were more takeout boxes sprawled along the counter, random belongings on the dining table and dishes stacked on the coffee table.
“Mark?” you called out.
“In the bedroom,” he shouted back, a somber tone in his voice.
You kicked off your shoes and followed to your shared room, and the state of it confused you.
His clothes, stacked high on the bed, some hung neatly on hangers and some folded. His collection of sneakers, piled in one corner, along with his belts and hats. And miscellaneous paraphernalia that belonged to him- journals, briefcases, mementos.
“Mark?” you said, taking in the sight.
He looked up at you, pulling his lips in a thin line. He looked as though he’d been crying.
“Sit,” he said plainly. You complied.
Before he said anything, he let out a heavy sigh, scratching the back of his head.
“I never meant for you to find out like this,” Mark said.
You waited for him to continue.
“I just… things were hard. And I guess it was hard to come to you about it, because you always have your shit together.”
You twiddled your thumbs together nervously, “You’re leaving, aren’t you?”
He looked behind him at the pile of clothes. “I didn’t think you’d want me around anymore.”
You turned to look at him, a little angry at him for jumping to conclusions like this. “I’ve done nothing but care for you. You’ve been here at some of my lowest points. Why do you discredit me when I’m here for yours?”
He looked at the floor, saying nothing.
“I mean for god’s sake Mark, not telling me about your job is one thing. But you’re going to act like I’m the bad guy for needing a little space when we’re going through a rough patch? I let you have the place for a bit, doesn’t mean I’m not coming back for you. I love you and you know that.”
He swallowed. “I just don’t know how we’re supposed to come back from this.”
“Come back from what, you drinking here and there to cope? A small argument we had last night?”
“Me sleeping with my lab partner,” Mark blurted out.
You fell silent. A wave of shock washed over you, and then distress. Your throat went dry, your eyes trembling with tears prematurely.
“You what?” you asked, your voice coming out in a whisper.
Mark hung his head. “I thought you knew.”
“No I didn’t fucking know! Jesus, Mark! How long has this been going on?” The tears began to fall, staining your face with mascara.
“Four months,” he answered. Mark didn’t cry, nor did he raise his voice. It was a casual confession, like he’d been waiting to tell you all this time.
Mark hadn’t even been out of a job four months ago. The cheating had begun when you two were still on good terms. Or so you’d thought.
You nodded, silent sobs escaping your lips. Mark watched you with a guilt-ridden expression, knowing that this was it.
“Okay,” you said, standing up from the bed and slinging your purse over your shoulder.
He stood up too, observing your face. “I’ll be out by the time you’re back. I already arranged for my stuff to be picked up.”
His nonchalant tone angered you. You wanted to scream, to hit him and try anything to make him stay. But the truth was, you’d already lost Mark a long time ago.
The two of you had been nothing but strangers in a joint bedroom, pretending nothing had gone awry, when in actuality, your feelings were just as convoluted as his. Maybe it was the stress of your job, or the existence of a routine that drove you crazy most days. Either way, you hadn’t been happy with him for a long time. The same rang true for Mark.
“Can I ask you something?” You said before leaving.
He paused with baited breath.
“Why did you act like I was the one who threw this all away?”
He hung his head again. “Like I said before. It was hard to come to you about it. You always have your shit together. You always know what you want. And I think…” his voice trailed off. You raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to finish.
“I think your heart might be elsewhere too.”
It was your turn to shift to an expression of guilt. Had he known all this time? About your complex feelings? About Felix coming back, and your nights with him, albeit nothing intimate?
Though you wanted to defend yourself, you couldn’t. Instead, you pursed your lips together, nodding reluctantly in silence.
“I’ll be back in a few days,” you said. “Can we grab a coffee or something soon?”
Mark’s expression softened. He took a step forward, opening his arms for a hug, which you stepped into. His hugs, always so familiar- the scent of his cedar cologne and the firmness of his arms always felt like home. Or at least they did until this point of your life- maybe your chapter in this apartment with Mark was finally at a close.
“Of course we can,” he said, his voice muffled into your tear-stained shoulder.
And there you stood, basking in the last fragments of the place you’d called home for so long.
*
“Do you like these little sonnets? ‘Cause I wrote them just for you”
In all honesty, the last thing you wanted to do was go out tonight. You’d spent the afternoon crying in your room, grieving the last few days you had with Mark. He’d been a steady part of your adult life for as long as you’d known it, and suddenly, he just… wasn’t anymore.
You wanted to call him and ask if he was still seeing the girl he’d cheated with. A part of you wanted to hate him, but the other part just wanted him to be happy. Maybe this adult life was something you needed to navigate away from each other now. Maybe this routine wasn’t healthy for either of you. Since your freshman year of college, Mark was all you’d ever known. You hadn’t slept with anyone else, hadn’t dated anyone else, and hadn’t really met other men aside from his friends. But the thought of navigating the future without him was petrifying.
On the other hand, you longed for the uncertainty. You wanted to have the freedom to go out and come home late, not having to worry about anyone waiting up for you. You wanted to discover new things about yourself, see the world, and make your own coffee at night when you worked. It’s not that you didn’t appreciate everything Mark did for you in that sense, but when incorporated into the repetitive routine of adulthood, they had lost meaning to both of you. Maybe that’s why Mark sought something else in another woman.
And maybe that’s why you couldn’t push Felix away anymore.
You weren’t sure about any of it. But you did know Mark seemed to have a weight off his shoulders. And you did know sleeping next to Felix felt… right. It felt safe again. It felt like home.
You packed a few of your nicer clothes from the apartment, trying on variations of them in the bathroom mirror back at your parents’ house.
Felix had called briefly to tell you to wear something that would match his black suit, and you were intrigued by the amusement in his voice. But you also faked your excitement on the phone, trying your best to hold back tears and sniffles.
So you settled on a silky maroon dress, the draped neckline accentuating the curve of your breasts and hugging your waist like it was tailored to you. A pair of black heels complemented your dress, and you felt sexy for the first time in a while.
Felix called you when he arrived, almost on the dot.
“I’m here,” he said. “Do you want me to go up? Or- are you parents home? I should probably say hi.”
You giggled at his nervousness. Just about anything made Felix nervous. He was an over thinker at heart.
“I’ll meet you out there,” you said.
As you adjusted your earrings in the mirror, a wave of sadness washed over you again. It had been this very dress that you’d worn when Mark was a guest speaker at your school’s biology department. He loved the color on you- even made sure he snapped a few photos of you in it before tearing it off between kisses.
You shook your head, ridding yourself of the memories, and tried your best to remind yourself that tonight was for fun. You needed a night to get your mind off things, to think of something other than your job and Mark.
You made your way outside, and Felix stepped out from the driver’s seat, hands folded behind his back nervously. You locked up behind you and carefully started toward the car, Felix jogging up to meet you halfway.
“Wow…” he said, staring at you in wonder.
You chuckled, feeling a blush rise in your cheeks.
“You look…” he started, losing track of his words as his eyes locked with yours.
He brought two fingers up to his neck, discreetly checking for a pulse as you smiled at him. It was a habit he’d done since he was young- an even cuter one considering he always thought you’d never noticed.
“You look very pretty,” he finished, a twinkle in his eyes as he spoke.
“Thanks,” you replied. “You look very handsome.”
Felix checked for a pulse again, playing it off as an itch on the crook of his neck.
“Ready?” you asked as he stood in silence.
“Yeah,” Felix replied, trying his best to snap out of the trance he was in.
The two of you made your way to the car, Felix holding the door for you, and sat quietly for a moment while he confirmed the address on his phone.
“Where are we going?” You asked. He only smiled at you.
“It’s a surprise.”
Once he started the GPS, the two of you chatted the whole drive, exchanging stories about your families and friends. Felix told you about his sister’s graduation party, and that he would have the place to himself for a few days. Doing his best to slip in a casual invitation for you to spend the night. (Platonically, of course.)
You told him all about what your own graduation was like- down to the hangover you had after clubbing for 13 hours straight. Felix couldn’t help but wonder where Mark fit into your story.
The drive was much like they used to be. Aside from the steamy moments you used to share, conversations were always the most fun part about being around Felix. He always had something new to tell you, little tales that kept you on your feet and drew you even closer to him. It seemed that after five long years, you could finally reciprocate with your own fascinating anecdotes.
Before you knew it, the two of you had arrived at a hotel, finding a parking spot in the garage below. You stepped out and looked around, wrapping your arms around yourself and inhaling the cool breeze.
“Cold?” Felix asked, and you shook your head.
“Feels nice, actually.”
You linked arms with him as he led you into the building and to the elevator, where another elegant looking man pressed the up button for the two of you. A little bell chime indicated it was at your level, the double doors opening slowly in front of you. Felix ushered you in first, following carefully behind you and pressing the silver circle marked ‘R’.
As the elevator began, it jerked with force, causing you to gasp and grip the bar to the left of you. Felix moved closer to you, placing a gentle hand on your waist as the ride continued. You felt goosebumps form on your skin at his touch, remembering all too well how it had felt back then. It still made your heart race.
When you arrived, the double doors slid open again, and you gasped at the view in front of you. It was a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city, thousands of little buildings below you glowing like stars in the night sky. The tables were neatly lined with white tablecloths and candles. And the best part? The rooftop was empty, aside from a waiter who politely gestured to the table nearest the ledge. You bowed graciously as he led the way and poured you both a glass of champagne, placing two menus on the table before he left.
As you stared awestruck at the skyline, Felix’s gaze remained locked on your gentle expression. His heart raced watching you smile, eyes twinkling with reflections of the city he called home.
“Do you like it?” He asked.
“Like it?” You repeated. “Felix, it’s so beautiful up here... How’d you even find this place?” You turned to look at him and he glanced down nervously at the menu, feeling his heart might burst with affection.
“Heard of it through a friend.”
He wasn’t going to tell you the truth of course- that he spent nearly two hours of his day in the backseat of his parents’ van googling romantic dinner locations in the city. Calling up 14 in total for a last minute reservation, eventually convincing his manager to have them clear the reservation list so you’d have the privacy you deserved. Which he paid extra for- along with the private parking spot, a table closest to the ledge, and the specialty request champagne.
“Raspberries?” You said curiously, taking a sip of the sparkling beverage. A raspberry champagne cocktail on ice- a recipe Felix found online and personally requested.
“Wow, you have to try the champagne,” you told Felix, eyes glimmering at the heavenly flavor. He knew you’d like it.
When the waiter came back to your table, Felix ordered you both a mutual favorite of chicken risotto, handing your menus to the waiter and turning back to you with a shy smile.
“What?” You asked playfully.
He giggled. “Nothing. It’s just nice to be here with you.”
You nodded, taking another sip of champagne. Of course, memories of your day with Mark still plagued your mind. You didn’t want to give Felix the wrong idea considering you were still going through a rough patch, unsure of what the future even held for the two of you. Keep it casual, you reminded yourself.
“It is nice,” you said. “I needed an outing like this with my best friend.”
Felix’s smile faded a little, reaching for his own glass of champagne and taking a big sip. He cleared his throat, his coughing getting louder as he set the glass down.
“Are you okay?” You asked.
He nodded with flushed cheeks and watery eyes. “Raspberry. Got stuck in my throat.”
You slid him a napkin and he wiped his mouth of the pink residue, turning away to not embarrass himself further.
“Do you want me to get you a glass of water?” You asked with concern in your voice.
“I’ll do it,” he said quickly, standing up from the table. I’m doing so, he bumped his knee on the edge, knocking his glass over and staining the white tablecloth.
“Fuck,” Felix said angrily. “Shit.”
You placed the glass upright again. “It’s okay, we can just remove the tablecloth.” You glanced around the rooftop for the waiter who’d been away at the kitchen.
Felix piled the cutlery with shaky hands, dropping a fork with a loud clang as he scrambled to remove the tablecloth. You noticed his shakiness and reached out to place a hand gently over his own. He stopped to look at you with wide eyes.
“Felix,” you said. “Breathe.”
He took a deep breath and blinked a few times at you.
“Sorry,” Felix said, embarrassment evident in his voice. “It’s been a while since…” his voice trailed off, knowing he wasn’t allowed to refer to this as a date.
“It’s okay,” you said. “It’s just me.”
Just you, Felix thought. Just the woman he’d been fawning over for years. Just the woman he hadn’t forgotten once in the span of his new life. The woman he looked for in everyone, in everything. The woman he couldn’t form sentences around or stop stumbling over himself.
“Just you” was the problem.
Felix sat down across from you again, and the waiter returned with your food, placing it on the bare wooden table with a questioning look. Felix sheepishly handed him the strained tablecloth.
Felix’s nervousness had always been charming to you. You couldn’t help but smile at the way he’d display those same mannerisms from years ago, desperate to look “cool”, and being anything but in the process.
“What?” Felix asked you this time, cutting into his chicken.
“Nothing,” you said. “I think it’s better without the tablecloth anyway.”
He huffed out a laugh. “It was a little overkill.”
“Oh, definitely. In fact, they should’ve swapped our table for one of those plastic outdoor ones. Those are peak fine dining. Or maybe those cheeseburger stools from McDonald’s? Now that would’ve been impressive.”
Felix laughed loudly, and you joined him, watching as his shoulders relaxed with every movement.
As the night progressed, Felix seemed a lot more comfortable, finally coming around to the idea of having dinner with his best friend- nothing more. Memories of Mark tainted your mind when the night fell silent, and the images of him were still burned into Felix’s mind. But you both embraced the night with open arms, like you were the only two who existed in this timeline- the way it was when you were just kids.
At the end of the night, you got up to get a better look at the view. Felix followed, snapping a few photos and dragging you into one for a selfie in front of the skyline.
You wrapped your arms around yourself, admiring the way everything looked so small from up here. So insignificant, so fleeting. Like your life was a city, and every building was just a small part of it, no matter how big it seemed from down there.
“See there?” You said, pointing at the south side. “That’s where my apartment is.”
Felix looked out, squinting at the horizon.
“And there,” you said, pointing in another direction. “Is where my university was.”
From the corner of your eye, you could tell Felix wasn’t looking at the skyline anymore. He had his gaze locked on you, carefully observing the way your hair flowed in the gentle night time breeze. Two fingers worked their way up to check his pulse again- still breathing.
You didn’t look back at him. Instead, you studied the way the city seemed to change by the minute. Planes with flashing lights flickering in thick fog, cars that drove by in the blink of an eye. Offices still with their lights on, apartments and houses already asleep for the night. It was all so changing- so uncertain. You could take pictures just seconds apart and it’d be the same place, but never the exact same moment in time.
“Want to get going?” You asked, still aware of his eyes on you.
“Yeah,” Felix said quietly. He wasn’t sure what he’d been hoping for, but he felt briefly disappointed.
You finally turned to him, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear and smiling at him. “Come on then.”
Felix led you down the stairs to the elevator, where you both entered, and he pushed a silver circle marked 17.
You cocked your head in confusion. “Isn’t it the garage level?”
A knowing smile met your confused expression. “I booked us a room for the night.”
It was the last of Felix’s surprises- one he knew you’d be excited about. Similarly, one he hoped wouldn’t overstep his boundaries. Fancy hotel rooms were something the two of you only dreamt of in the past, joking about how you’d order one of everything from room service and sleep in everyday till noon. Along with a list of other things you always wanted to try, but he knew very well that was no longer a part of the plan. He didn’t mind, simply wanting to spend a night by your side in a room that wasn’t your childhood bedroom. Now that he could afford it, he’d make sure you experienced everything you once wanted to.
“Felix…” you began. “This is too much.”
He shook his head nonchalantly. “It’s a little day trip. You don’t work tomorrow and my family’s out for the weekend. Might as well stay while we’re here.”
The elevator stopped at your floor and you got off, following his strut down the hall as he found your room. He pulled a white card out from the pocket of his suit, scanning it and pushing the door open with ease.
“Come on,” he said, gesturing for you to follow him.
The sweet scent of vanilla and sandalwood filled the room all around you in an instant. You gasped at the sight of tall clear windows that overlooked the same skyline view you had at dinner. Two massive beds occupied the middle of the room that connected to a single bathroom.
“What about our stuff?” You said suddenly, unable to imagine sleeping in this gown.
“The staff’s already on their way up with our bags. You don’t have to worry about that.”
Felix sat on the edge of the bed, arms rested behind him. You made your way over to him, sitting opposite him on your own bed, unable to speak.
“I… I don’t even know what to say.”
He chuckled. “You don’t have to say anything. I just wanted to do something fun for my best friend.”
“Thank you,” you said. “Seriously- thank you. This has been the best surprise after such a… shitty week. I really needed this.”
“I’m glad,” Felix replied. “That was my plan.” He laid back on the white duvet, spreading his limbs out along the surface. “Now can we please order some dessert from room service?”
*
“We wanna talk about sex but we’re not allowed”
“Solid 6/10.”
“What?” You replied. “No way.”
“Way,” Felix replied. “The vanilla tastes… bitter.”
“Bitter? Are we eating the same thing?”
“Crème brûlée. Bitter crème brûlée.” He remarked.
You laughed, setting down your fork.
“Okay, last one.” You lifted the silver dome cover off the last plate, revealing a single slice of cheesecake.
“Now this one I’m judging harshly,” Felix said.
“You judged all of them harshly!” You said jokingly.
“Touché.”
“Ready? One, two, three…” you popped a forkful in your mouth, chewing for a moment before nodding. “That’s the single best slice of cheesecake I’ve ever had.”
“No way,” Felix said.
“Way,” you replied.
You handed the fork back to Felix, who took a bite of his own, thinking it over for a second. “8/10.”
“What! You’re just being cocky now.”
“Mine is better! You can’t deny that.”
“Mmm I’m not so sure.”
In a fit of laughter, you laid back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling and shutting your eyes briefly. “I can’t believe we’re here.”
You turned your head to face the view again, speckles of city lights gleaming from beyond the tall glass windows.
“It’s something, huh?” Felix said.
“Mhmm. This was one of our bucket list items from that summer.”
Felix felt his heartbeat quicken, surprised you brought up the topic of that summer at all. He’d wanted to talk about it for so long, not being able to with your new established dynamic.
“Yeah,” he said. “I remember.”
“What’d we plan again? Dessert from the room service menu, steal the amenities? Sleep on silk sheets?”
He looked at you nervously, waiting for you to say it. Something- anything at all to prove you remembered.
Have sex in the jacuzzi, Felix thought to himself. Fuck on the balcony. Do it in the middle of the night and try not to wake the neighboring rooms.
“Yeah,” he settled on replying. “Think you got everything.”
You sat up again, making your way over to your suitcase and digging out your toothbrush out from the pile of clothes. “Gonna brush,” you said.
Felix followed, sharing the sink space with you as you brushed your teeth in front of the large mirror.
He wore a simple white shirt and blue flannel pants, you much more exposed in white cotton shorts and a tank top. Felix’s eyes darted briefly to your body and then back at your reflection in the mirror, and you suddenly felt much more aware of your appearance.
When you finished, you crawled under the duvet again and enveloped yourself in the thick white sheets. You turned to face Felix, who climbed into his own bed across from you.
“Thank you,” you said to him again. “For tonight.”
Felix nodded nervously. “You deserve it.”
And sleep washed over you quickly.
*
“So how should I begin this? I guess it started when you were with him”
Felix hadn’t slept at all- in fact, he spent a good portion of the night facing you and letting the steady sound of your breathing fill the room. Rather he couldn’t sleep, unable to contain the growing bulge in his pants at the sight of your figure.
He felt like such a loser again, his mind going back to summer when you made all those plans for a hotel room. And yet here he was, sleeping a few feet away from you in his own bed, having unholy thoughts about someone with a boyfriend. It was an unprecedented level of pathetic he felt.
Trying his best not to wake you, he slipped out from the covers, tip-toeing his way to the bathroom. At least he could get some relief in there and maybe get some shut-eye.
But his efforts were futile, waking you up as soon as he took the first steps toward you.
“Felix?” You called out.
“Sorry,” he responded quickly, awkwardly bending over to hide his crotch. “I couldn’t sleep. Was gonna get a drink of water.”
You smiled sympathetically, patting the bed next to you. “Get in,” you said politely. He panicked.
You’d surely find out about the ongoing incident if he complied. But selfishly, he wanted to, hoping that being closer to you would help it die down. A dense thought process, that’s for sure.
So he obeyed, pulling his t-shirt down and slipping under the sheets so fast you couldn’t possibly have noticed in this darkness. You turned to face him, finally being able to see his face at this proximity. And for a minute, the two of you said nothing, gazing at each other under the dim glow of the city lights outside.
You can’t remember who initiated it first, thinking it might’ve very well been you, who scooted closer and kissed him.
Felix shut his eyes instinctively, like he knew this was going to happen. But the fact was, he didn’t. His heartbeat raced at a concerning speed now, head dizzy with thoughts. Still, he said nothing. Asked nothing. He just stayed there, kissing you back like his life depended on it.
A tender hand found its way to your cheek, where he brushed a strand of your hair aside to place little kisses along your face. In doing so, he moved even closer, accidentally brushing his waist against your thigh.
“Fuck,” Felix said while pulling away. “I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.”
He was rock hard now, head spinning with the reminder of how you tasted and breathed against him like this.
You hoisted yourself up, looking down at his fearful expression. But you didn’t say anything in response, instead leaning down to kiss him again. His kisses were more desperate this time, little moans escaping into your mouth as you ran your tongue along his bottom lip. You pulled away again for a breath, and Felix panicked thinking you might leave or stop.
This time however, you climbed over his delicate frame, straddling his waist as he sat up and rested his back against the headboard. His crotch pressed against you eagerly, but you stayed there for an excruciating few minutes, running a hand over his chest and into his blonde locks.
“Blonde…” you said in an amused tone.
You traced his freckles with a single finger, sliding down to graze over the slope of his nose and then over his plump, needy lips.
“Please…” Felix whispered as you leaned in to kiss him. “Please,” he said again between soft kisses. “Please, please, please…”
His usually deep voice was much higher in pitch when he was this needy, and you’d never heard it this way before.
“Mmm. Please what?” You said against his wet lips. He hesitated for a moment.
“Please… use me…” he said shyly, a twinge of desperation as his breath hitched in his throat. His hips rocked gently against yours, reluctant hands finding their way down to your waist.
The friction made you moan softly against him, and it was your turn to kiss him with longing. You wasted no more time reaching a hand between the two of you to pull off his pants as he slid your shorts down. You wrapped your legs around his torso in just your panties, clothed cock pressed firmly against your growing wetness, and he groaned in frustration.
“Fuck…” he breathed out. “Don’t move or I might finish.”
You smiled between gentle kisses to his collarbones. Knowing he wasn’t exaggerating about finishing prematurely, you finally pulled his boxers down, wrapping one hand around his length and moving up and down.
“Ah…” Felix struggled against your touch.
“What’s wrong?” You cooed sweetly. “Gonna finish?”
He nodded with his eyes squeezed shut tightly.
“That’s okay,” you said with a smile. “You can cum if you want to.”
“I don’t… ah…”
And with a scrunched nose, he found his release, making a mess all over his stomach between you.
“Fuck,” Felix said. “I didn’t want to finish yet. Sorry.” His eyes were teary and spaced out as he caught his breath.
You circled the strings of liquid with your index finger, dipping into his navel to gather some on the tips of your fingers.
“That’s okay,” you said calmly, bending down to kiss him again. “I didn’t say I was done using you.”
Felix swallowed nervously, trying his best to hold back the inevitable tears.
“You okay to give me one more?” You said, sliding your hand down between your legs to play with yourself. You circled your clit with his cum, gasping in pleasure at the warm sensation.
Tears fell from his face as he nodded and waited for your instruction.
“Good,” you said, kissing away his tears as you continued to touch yourself. “Tell me if you want to stop, okay?”
Felix nodded nervously, watching intently as you finally removed your panties and spread further to take all of him. With gentle movements, you wrapped your arms around his neck, positioning over him and sliding down ever so slowly. His hands gripped your waist as he helped fill you up.
It was a sensation Felix hadn’t been prepared for. He winced at the overstimulation, trying his best to remain semi-hard so you’d have a chance to finish. But the feeling of you gently bouncing on his cock made him cry even more, desperate to help you find your release and to hear you shower him with praise.
“Doing so good,” you told him between breathless movements. “Kiss me.”
He obeyed, planting sloppy tear-stained kisses on your mouth as you used him for your own pleasure. He pulled away again, mouth finding its way to your breasts, where he kissed and sucked your nipples with fondness.
And between his fervent kisses in the valley of your breasts, you found your own release, clutching his shoulders as you trembled and dribbled cum all over his length.
You slid off of him with ease and back onto the bed, where you both took a minute to catch your breath. Felix was unsure of what to say, and you could hardly form a sentence.
Instead you got dressed again and sat up to go to the bathroom. “Gonna get cleaned up,” you said simply.
As you stood, Felix gripped your wrist, pulling you toward him again. “Don’t leave,” he said in a frightened tone.
“I just need tissues,” you explained.
“Don’t leave,” he said again, tears trickling down his face.
“Felix, I’m just-”
“I’m in love with you,” Felix blurted out.
Your heart raced and you took a deep breath. You stood between his legs observing the way he now let out dramatic sobs as he began to speak.
“I’m so fucking in love with you and I can’t help it. I’ve always loved you. Ever since we were kids. You can hold me and comfort me until I stop crying but it’s not gonna change the fact that I’m crying because I love you.”
You reached a hand up, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear. He continued talking as he cried, the stream of consciousness giving him the confidence he’d always yearned to utilize.
“I tried. I tried for so long with other girls, with other people. It was never the same. I thought there was something wrong with me because I’d cry so much whenever I was with you. And it never happened with anyone else. It took me years and some stupid hookups before I realized it was because I was always in love with you.
That’s why I came back. You make me feel so damn safe all the time. I can’t taste Oreo mcflurries or raspberry chapstick without thinking of you first. I would’ve still been in love with you if you kept ignoring me. I’m still in love with you even though you have him. And I don’t know what we’re doing, but I do know that I’m in love with you. Back then, and now, and in five years time.”
He hung his head in shame, crying like a guilty child, and you towered over him in silence. He’d never felt so vulnerable before, crying in front of the girl he loved in complete nudity.
Part of you knew this was coming- there was no denying Felix hadn’t been the most inconspicuous about his romantic feelings toward you since returning. But you couldn’t find the words to say to him, knowing anything you could say right now was only going to hurt him. You and Mark weren’t technically broken up yet, and your heart largely remained there still. You and Felix also led two completely different lives- yours, a monotonous adult routine, and his, riddled with fame and splendor. It was never going to work the way he wanted it to. This was all a fleeting thing like it had been back then- this wasn’t reality.
“Please say something,” Felix pleaded.
“I’m sorry,” you said quietly. “We shouldn’t have done this.”
He looked up at you through tears, hardly making out the expression on your face as the room blurred around him. And with a simple nod, he understood. You were not in love with Felix.
With a gentle release of your wrists, he allowed you to get cleaned up, crying in front of the bathroom mirror as you rid yourself of his traces. When you returned, Felix was back in his own bed, lying on his side away from you.
Not so much as a sniffle was heard as you turned out the light again, falling asleep to his words replaying in your head like a broken record.
*
“Did he ever make you cum? Did he ever make you cry?”
You were up early that morning, quick to shower last night’s mistake off your aching body. Felix stayed in bed facing the window, forcing himself to keep his eyes shut though he wasn’t asleep. His eyes could hardly pry themselves open anyway, now swollen and red from all the crying he’d done.
When you finished getting dressed, you sat on the edge of your bed, staring out at the view in the daytime. The city was completely different at this time of day. People looked like little ants from this high up, and you followed their paths as they navigated the world below. Into stores, apartment buildings, even meeting for coffee. It was so human- so unpredictable where the next little ant would find themselves. So uncertain.
You heard Felix shuffle about in bed, and you decided to go check on him for the first time, holding your breath as you made your way to his side.
“Felix,” you said timidly. “You should eat something.”
He kept his eyes shut, furrowing his brows into a frown as he felt your hand run through his hair.
“Not hungry,” he said in a raspy voice.
“Come on,” you replied. “Checkout’s at 11. We’ve only got two hours to enjoy this view before we have to leave.”
Felix fluttered one eye open, looking at you for the first time since last night. His heart pained him all over again. Your hair was still damp from your shower, face free of makeup and the lingering scent of peaches on your skin.
He exhaled through his nose, eyes wandering past you and zoning out.
And then with some hesitation, you crawled into the unmade bed beside him, slipping under the covers and wrapping an arm around him the way you always used to. You held him like that for a minute, rubbing his arm soothingly and playing with the back of his hair.
Felix couldn’t feel excited about any of it, too heartbroken to feel anything but sorrow in your arms now. Tears brimmed his eyes again as you lulled him into another wave of sleepiness.
“Do you love him?” Felix broke the silence suddenly. You swallowed, finally choosing to be honest with him. It was the least you could do while he grieved.
“Yeah. I do.”
“Does he… satisfy you?” Felix asked. You were taken aback at the question, and Felix was shocked that he brought it up. But he needed closure right now. He needed answers to the questions he’d been overthinking all week.
“Mhm.”
He thought for a second. “Does he ever make you cry?”
It was your turn to think for a minute. “Sometimes. When we fight, I guess. It’s not often, though.”
Felix shut his eyes again, wanting to ask more questions, but feeling too tired and anguished. You continued massaging his arm, feeling his tension loosen in your touch.
“Go back to sleep,” you said finally. “I’ll wake you when it’s time to check out.”
And he did, dozing off properly in your tender embrace.
*
When you parted ways that day, Felix knew very well he might never see you again.
He’d messed things up by confessing how he felt, only to be met with what he’d feared all along- you were indeed in love with Mark. There was never a chance that the two of you would work out. Still, the truth pained him. The dull ache in his chest was made worse by the way you cared for him, giving his hand a little squeeze in the car and rubbing his back when he pulled you in for one last hug. He knew you were just trying to make him feel better. But deep down he was angry- at himself for not staying, at Mark for being able to call you his, even at you for being intimate with him last night. He didn’t regret it, but he did wish it ended the way he’d hoped it to.
On the drive home, Felix had the realization that things were now different. His feelings were out there in the open, and you were free to do whatever you wanted with them. Regardless of how you felt, it meant things between you were going to change.
He was no longer welcome to sneak into your room late at night- even as friends. He couldn’t bake you little surprises or text you at random times throughout the day. And the idea of ever kissing you again was just a distant daydream, so far out of reach it seemed like something that had never occurred in the first place.
He wondered how you felt about the situation. And he wondered if you knew how terribly he regretted it. In an alternate universe, Felix had just let you go get cleaned up and cuddled you to sleep, pushing away the idea that you had cheated on your partner. It would have been a fleeting thing like it had always been. Like it was always supposed to be. A lingering thought made Felix consider calling you up to ask why you’d cheated on Mark if you loved him, but that would involve talking to you.
What he didn’t know, of course, is that you weren’t in love with Mark anymore.
*
“I hope we’re still friends, yeah I hope you don’t mind”
Standing in the living room you two shared, Mark wrapped up the last of his boxes with tape and looked over at you. The room had never felt this empty without his video game consoles or his sneakers lying around carelessly.
“If I forget anything I’ll come by to pick it up later this week,” he said. “But that’s the most of it.”
You wiped a few stray tears. “Where are you going again?”
“I told you,” Mark said, sitting on the couch next to you and resting a hand on your thigh. “Couple friends have a room for rent just an hour from here. It’s safe. I don’t want you to worry.”
He reached up to wipe a tear with his thumb lovingly. You missed these moments- sitting on the couch together like this, only now they were tainted with heartbreak and mourning what once was.
“Is she going to be there?” You asked after a moment.
Mark looked down, and then back up at your face. “Do you remember when I had blue hair?” He asked suddenly.
“What?”
“The blue hair. Arctic fresh, like you used to call it.”
You chuckled a little. That term had slipped your mind after graduation.
“Yeah. I remember.”
“And you used to sit in the library all day.”
“Until you started stalking me.”
“Don’t act like you didn’t love it!” Mark retorted. The two of you laughed for a bit, and you almost forgot you were sad in the first place.
“I didn’t know when you were gonna be there,” Mark continued. “I had no clue how to approach you. Hell, I didn't even know what kind of person you were gonna be.”
You listened to him as gestured with his hands.
“That uncertainty- there was something so fun about it.”
There was that word again- one that had been on your mind lately. A lot of things felt uncertain as of right now.
“Remember when we didn’t have a mattress?”
You shook your head. “God. Don’t remind me.” Mark laughed in response.
“We used jackets as blankets! It was fun though, wasn’t it? We thought we’d never finish furnishing the place. I kinda loved not knowing what it was going to look like yet.”
You pondered his words carefully. There was a lot of truth in them- the months you spent sleeping on the floor and eating microwave pizzas together for dinner were some of your most memorable times. You only got through it because you had hope that the future would make up for those nights.
“You seemed happier too,” Mark said. “And I want you to be that happy all the time. I don’t want you to be scared of the future.”
You began to cry again, trembling as Mark pulled you in for a hug.
“I don’t know how to do this without you,” you said. “This… routine. Being an adult.”
“You’ve always known how,” Mark said. “You just have to go live it. Don’t let yourself get stuck at a computer all day. Don’t let the only time you leave the house be to get coffee creamer at night.”
You smiled at him sheepishly.
“I’m learning too,” Mark said. “I kinda want to get out of this city. Get a new job.”
You nodded.
“And I want you to do some badass things,” he said, poking your knee and making you smile. “I want to hear all about them. But you gotta do them first!”
With a gentle sigh, you nodded again.
Mark twiddled his fingers for a moment.
“It’s him, isn’t it?”
“What?” You said, head snapping up to look at him.
“Dude from the band.”
Your heart sped up, unsure of what to say.
“I tried your parents’ house a few days ago. Two of you were headed out somewhere. Can’t believe I even recognized him, but I pieced it together.”
“Why… I mean-”
“Doesn’t matter,” he said with a reassuring shake of his head. “I want you to be happy. I wasn’t the most honest with you, either.”
After a pause, you took Mark’s hand in yours. “I’m sorry,” you said. “And I love you. And I’ll never stop loving you. Whether we’re together or not.”
He nodded at your words. “I know. And I’m sorry. I’m never out of reach- you know where to find me.”
Mark pulled you in for one last hug, crying softly into your shoulder. “Go find that happiness again,” he said. “I’ll always be here.”
After helping move his boxes to the car and exchanging your final goodbyes, you returned to the apartment, clutching the keys in hand like you did the very first time you got them.
The apartment felt quiet, yet strangely comfortable. You’d never seen so many sunbeams shine through the windows like this before- illuminating the empty corners with a hopeful glow. Despite the vacant areas, the apartment felt eerily beautiful like this. You caressed the drywall with a tender hand, thinking briefly about the potential this place always had. There were so many new spots for paintings and photos. So many opportunities to decorate again. So much to look forward to.
*
“Swear we were only being honest”
Mark’s departure made a lot of things clear for you. You thought about what he said for days after adjusting to the empty apartment- about chasing happiness and learning to embrace the uncertainty you were always so afraid of.
He was right. You had become a shell of the woman you once were, only existing to do work and repeat the routine that tricked you into believing it was the epitome of life itself. But it never had been- it was you who made it that way.
Looking out your window at the empty street late at night, the only noise you could hear was the dull buzz of cicadas that stalked the tall grass.
You returned to your parents’ house for one last night to collect your things and say your goodbyes to your parents. Everything looked the same as it always did on nights like this- cars parked neatly in their spots, houses with their lights off, and neatly trimmed bushes swaying gently in the summer breeze. Your hands trembled as you climbed out the window, dressed for the weather in a light sweater and a pair of shorts.
As you jogged out to the street, you paused to look up at the vast sky above you. The sky had never seen you this late at night like this, out in the middle of the street with such purpose. You were normally curled up with a book at this late hour.  Yet you greeted it with excitement and curiosity, laughing up at the constellations as you planted two feet in the concrete below you.
After admiring the scenery at this time, you were on your way again, racing like a child down the block. You passed the houses you had always known, appreciating the way they were a steady part of your life for this long. You turned the corner with such vigor, you thought you might fall if you didn’t slow down. But you didn’t- you ran and ran, and you didn’t stop.
Felix’s house was a mere three blocks from yours, yet you’d never visited in the middle of the night like this. It has always been him to initiate it. He was the risk-taker, the troublemaker, a fact you forced yourself to challenge after your conversation with Mark.
When you arrived, you looked up at his house, unsure of what to do for a moment. You weren’t entirely sure which room was his anymore.
So you pulled out your phone, dialing him before you could stop to overthink it. Felix answered on the second ring.
“Hi,” you breathed.
He paused for a moment.
“Are you… okay?”
“I’m fine,” you replied. “Could you open the window?”
“What?”
“The window. I can’t remember which one is yours- God your grass is tall. There aren't any spiders here, right?”
Before you could finish, the curtains drew back in front of the window closest to you, and Felix stood there with his cellphone pressed to his ear. He observed the way you scratched at an itch on your ankle, finally looking up to meet his gaze and giving him a little wave.
“Aren’t you cold?” He asked, dropping his phone down at his side as you walked over.
“Not a bit. It’s actually kinda nice out.”
He helped you climb in, and you looked around the room with wonder in your eyes.
“Wow. I haven’t been here since we were kids.”
The walls were lined with old photos of him, neatly arrayed in white picture frames. There was a large desk opposite his bed with old taekwondo medals hanging directly above. And his bed was neatly made, except for one corner from which Felix had untucked himself from.
“What are you doing here?” Felix asked with hesitation. His voice was tinged with sadness still.
You set a paper bag down on the desk, turning to face him. “Little something from me.”
Felix looked at the bag and then at you again. You eyed him for a moment, noticing his unkempt hair and the subtle bags under his eyes. His blonde locks were pushed out of his face, framing his expression of sorrow. He wore a plain black t-shirt and sweatpants, much simpler than you’d seen him dressed on other days, yet he somehow still looked so sophisticated.
With reluctance in his step, he unfolded the bag, reaching inside to pull out a small Oreo McFlurry and a carton of fries. He examined the cup, setting it down again and avoiding eye contact.
“I told you I don’t get these anymore.”
“No,” you said. “You said you couldn’t get them because they brought back memories.”
He shrugged. “Yeah. What’s the difference?”
“The difference is that I’m here now. And you don’t have to stop doing all your favorite things because they bring back memories.”
“You don’t get it,” he said, sighing again. “Please don’t make me say it again.”
You hid your hands in the sleeves of your sweater, eyes trembling with fear as you began to speak. Breaking down your walls around other people was always a difficult feat for you.
“You don’t have to say anything,” you told him. “Just please listen to me and then I’ll get out of here.”
Felix sat on the edge of the bed with his hands on his knees.
“Felix- you and I live completely different lives. You left before my life even started. Most of what I know about you I had to learn through google searches. You wake up in different countries 6 out of 7 days in the week. You know what you want, and every single day is different for you.”
“You googled me?” Felix said. You ignored his question as you continued to speak.
“You have to understand that this never would have worked out between us.”
He hung his head and wiped a few stray tears with the back of his hand. “I kind of figured it wasn’t going to work out. You didn’t have to come here to tell me again.”
“I came here,” you interrupted him. “Because I’m in love with you.”
His head snapped up this time, eyebrows furrowed together in confusion as you continued to speak through tears.
“And it scares the hell out of me. We’re two different people in two completely different worlds, but it doesn’t change the fact that it’s always been you. And it’s always going to be you. There’s no one else I’d rather get McDonald’s with at 3 in the morning. Or stain fancy tablecloths with. I love it when you do that thing where you check your pulse when you get nervous. Or when you bake me little desserts, even though I never ask you to. And I love wiping your tears after we get intimate, because I hate seeing you sad and I’d spend a lifetime wiping your tears if it meant I could be by your side.”
The room fell quiet as you finished. Felix looked up with an expression of sorrow and shock. His eyes welled with tears as he sniffled and gave you one short nod.
“How about Mark?”
You smiled and shrugged. “Sometimes love has other plans.”
And Felix smiled for the first time tonight, stretching out both arms toward you, which you wasted no time running into. He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into his lap and holding you for a moment as you both laughed through sniffles.
As he pulled away to look into your eyes, his thumbs wiped your tears away delicately, caressing your face in a gentle embrace.
“I don’t want to lose you again,” he said suddenly. His expression shifted to that of concern.
“You have me right now,” you said calmly. “And we’ll figure out the rest. I don’t want to get too caught up in worrying about the future.”
He smiled again, moving a strand of hair out of your face as he leaned in to kiss you. His lips tasted like raspberry, moving gently along yours as you smiled against him.
“What happens now?”
You thought about it for a moment. It was a good question- you hadn’t thought about where the night was going to take you after this conversation.
“Let’s go out.”
“Now? It’s almost 2 in the morning.”
“Now. Let’s go anywhere. I just want to be with you.”
Felix ran a hand through your hair as he chuckled.
“You’re full of surprises tonight.”
You climbed off of him as he walked to the closet and picked out a pair of pants. And you sat watching him eagerly, afraid you might lose him if you looked away for even a second.
When he turned around again to button his pants, he locked eyes with your tender gaze and smiled. The moonlight glistened through the window onto your skin, little blue patches painting your frame delicately like an oil painting. Your eyes sparkled with longing for him, and he smiled at the way you blinked up at him with such endearment.
“I love you,” you said suddenly.
“I love you,” he replied, leaning down to kiss you. “I love you. I love you. I really love you.”
When he finished getting dressed, he took your hand in his, helping you out the window and into the cool summer air. The cicadas and birds were quiet, and the only sounds you could hear came from the trees rustling in the nighttime breeze. Felix towered over you in the dim glow of the streetlights, never once looking away from the twinkle in your eyes as you spoke. And you continued, with no destination in mind, down the streets you had explored so many times as kids together. The same picket fences and concrete roads seemed so much more charming this way- hands interlocked as you stopped every now and then to exchange kisses and share spoonfuls of the now melted Oreo McFlurry. At last, you were home again- all was safe.
*
“All by yourself, sitting alone”
The loud chime of the overhead speaker caught your attention as you meticulously worked to buckle your seatbelt. All around you, people took their seats too, children squirming with excitement and couples assisting each other with the overhead bins in the aisles. You sat alone, taking in the atmosphere as you prepared for hours of being sat here.
Thoughts of doubt rushed to your mind as you examined a Korean pamphlet in front of you- was this the right decision? Were you going to be happy? Would you even find work there?
Your throat went dry thinking about the endless possibilities. And then you remembered Mark’s kind words echoing through you- “go chase that happiness”.
You were never going to know if you didn’t get out there first. Maybe this was where you were always meant to be.
In between conversations with yourself, your phone buzzed with a new text. You checked it frantically, smiling at the message.
Felix: 🐣
Your heartbeat slowed again, and you took a deep breath as you pushed your negative thoughts aside. You were finally chasing your happiness- Felix was your happiness. And maybe traveling 5,000 miles for the guy you loved seemed crazy, but it felt right. As long as you were by his side, you would face the future together.
You shot him back a little sunshine emoji before putting your phone away again. And you shut your eyes, grateful for the gentle reminder of why you were doing this. You weren’t certain about much, but you were certain about Lee Felix. And maybe that was enough.

more than a friend?
Tumblr media
request linked here
pairing: mikey madison x female reader
warnings: none really
a/n: i don’t like this one too much but it’s alr cause i’m coming out of writers block (yay)
I don’t get jealous. Jealousy is for people who are insecure about themselves… right?
“Mikey I swear. Punch me again and I’ll push you out of this car.” I threaten, a wide smile on my face as I lean as far as I can away from the black haired girl.
“I can’t help it if we keep driving past yellow cars.” Mikey shrugs, her smile matching my own. I simply scoff and roll my eyes. “I’m gonna have bruises on my arm for weeks. People are gonna start to think your abusing me.” I fake pout earning my own eye roll from the driver of the car.
“You’ll live.” Mikey chuckles before pulling up to the restaurant car park. I mock her playfully before exiting the car and following her towards the front door.
As we enter a chorus of whisper yells call our names. Mason, Jenna, Melissa and Jasmin all sit around a table. Mason waves us over and points to two seats beside one another.
“Thought you might wanna sit next to each other.” Jasmin wiggles her eyebrows suggestively causing my cheeks to flush red as I sit in between Jenna and Mikey. Jenna’s elbow nudges my waist as she too chuckles silently. I don’t dare to glance at Mikey in fear I could give away my feelings. That would not go down well.
Picking up the menu I pretend to be interested in the food until my cheeks return to their normal colour. “What you gonna order?” Mikey turns to me with a smile as the rest of the group chatter amongst themselves.
I let out a hum as I debate between the carbonara or the ravioli (pasta is my weakness). “Probably the carbonara.” I shrug causing Mikey to chuckle. “So I guessed right.” She smiles before Jasmin calls her name to get her attention.
Minutes fly by as the six of us talk and laugh. That is until the waiter approaches our table with a broad smile. “Hi what can I get for you guys today?” He grins, eyes drifting to Mikey who smiles politely. “What can I get you pretty lady?” He bats his eyelashes at the woman beside me causing an uncomfortable feeling to bubble in my stomach. Mikey chuckles softly, her brown eyes gazing up at the waiter. “I’ll take the Caesar salad with a side of fries please, can’t be too healthy.” She jokes.
I almost jump at the boisterous laugh the waiter lets out at Mikeys joke, my eyes connecting with Jenna’s, to confirm I wasn’t the only one who sees this horrendous interaction. “I can do that.” The waiter replies before hesitantly turning towards me, his broad smile now more of a forced grin. “I’ll have the carbonara.” I send him a fake smile before turning away, an awkward silence encompassing the table before Jenna voices her order.
Once everyone’s orders are written the waiter walks off but not before sending Mikey a flirty wink. My insides twist around themselves as my hands grip the table so hard as to prevent myself from strangling the man on sight.
“God that man was into you.” Melissa laughs from beside Mikey, her fingers poking the black haired woman’s side. “Tell me about it. He wouldn’t stop staring at you even when I was trying to tell him I can’t have chicken or bacon on my caeser salad.” Jenna groans.
I resist the urge to get up and go home. Petty yes but I hate watching the one person I adore being flirted with AND flirting back with some random.
“I think I’m going to go to the bathroom.” I feign a smile as I push out my chair and stand up desperate to get out of this conversation. “You want me to come with you?” Mikey’s quick to ask already half way out her chair. I shake my head almost too quickly. “No stay here, you’ll wanna be here for when the waiter comes back.” I reply maybe a little too harshly as Mikeys mouth opens and closes like a goldfish.
Both Mason and Jasmin send me a look but I ignore them instead walking away to the restroom as fast as I could go.
Resting my hands against the porcelain sink, I gaze at myself in the mirror. Although I look normal, I could feel the green eyed monster clawing at my stomach. Thinking about the waiters lingering gaze and his suggestive looks made me want to throw up in general, but thinking about them aimed at Mikey. That shatters my heart into a million pieces.
Blinking back tears, I run an irritated hand through my hair trying to think of an excuse for when I return to the table.
The restroom door opens and I inhale on instinct, brushing my tears away to make it appear as if I’m just washing up.
“Y/N?” Mikeys voice is shy, timid almost as she makes her way towards me. “Oh.” I breathe half grateful shes here and not at the table with that stupid waiter and half embarrassed she’s here while I cry over her.
“Are you ok?” The simple question is like a trigger sending tears cascading out my eyes. “Fuck, I am actually fine I don’t know why I’m crying.” I let out a chuckle but it falls flat as Mikey reaches for my hand.
“Don’t lie to me. We don’t do that to each other. Your my best friend, if somethings up I wanna help you.” She whispers tucking my hair behind my ear with her free hand.
Best friend
The word hurts to hear causing my eyes to squeeze closed as if that would protect the breaking of my heart. “I’m sorry for what I said before. About the waiter and stuff.” I sigh opening my eyes to look at Mikey who shrugs. “It’s ok, I don’t even want him anyway. I kinda have a crush on someone else.” She gazes at the floor. The words cause my breath to hitch in my chest.
So there is someone else.
“Oh. Yeah.” I manage to let out broken words. Tugging my hand away from Mikeys I let out a breath and wipe my cheeks. “I’m gonna head back.” I can’t look at her as I begin walking towards the door leaving Mikey behind me.
“Wait. Please.” Her voice is pleading almost begging me to not walk out the bathroom. Pausing, I turn on my heel and raise an eyebrow. “If I didn’t know any better it would sound like you were jealous.” She breathes slowly making her way in front of me once again.
My breath hitches for a different reason this time as she stops merely inches in front of my face. “And what if I am?” I reply waiting for the inevitable disgust and rejection to appear in Mikeys face.
“Then I would do this.” Mikeys lips connect with mine. Her hand reaching up for my face as I lean into the rhythm of our kiss.
The green eyed monster disappears leaving euphoria in its place.
I pull away only to better understand the situation, my hands still remaining slotted on Mikeys hips with no intention of letting go.
“So this means I’m the someone you have a crush on?” I frown as Mikeys shoulders shake with laughter. “Yes you idiot.” I don’t waste a second after she confirms my suspicions, my lips chasing hers once again.
Sighing into the kiss I can’t help but feel overjoyed, like I could conquer the world so long as my world remains in my arms.

We’re All Weird Here
“Bones are body horror,” the tentacle alien told me. “Not that I would volunteer such information, mind you, but you did ask.”
“I did,” I agreed, lifting another crate. “That’s really funny, honestly. What about them is disturbing?”
Mur twisted his blue-black tentacles in a way that looked anxious. “Just the idea of something rigid, inside your flesh,” he said with a wiggly shudder. “No matter how you move, it won’t move with you. Like your own body is fighting back.” He wrapped his tentacles around a crate. “I’ve had nightmares about stiffness like that.”
“Wow,” I said as I set my crate on top of the others. “I’m sorry to hear that? All I can tell you is that bones aren’t an enemy to us; they’re something dependable and strong that hold us up and make everything possible.”
Mur shoved his crate into place. “I suppose you’d need a positive relationship with your own disturbing parts,” he said with a twitch of his hind tentacles that was probably the equivalent of shaking his head. Since a Strongarm’s pointy squid-head was the majority of their body, they didn’t seem to go in for human-style nods.
“Well sure, same as you,” I said, checking the hovercart for more crates. “You know most humans find tentacles creepy, right?”
“I have heard,” he said with a smug little smile.
No nods, but yes smiles. With a mouth in the right place, even. I was privately glad that he had a mouth on the front of his head, instead of hidden among his tentacles like an Earth cephalopod. I was debating whether to tell him that when a crewmate of an entirely different body type walked in on clicking feet.
I pointed at him. “What about exoskeletons?” I asked Mur.
Zhee stopped beside the cart. “What about exoskeletons?” he demanded. He struck a pose out of an intergalactic fashion show, letting the ship’s lights play on his vivid purple carapace while he snapped his pincher arms. “Are you squishies jealous?”
“Sure, let’s go with that,” Mur told him before turning to me. “Exoskeletons are different from bones. They’re like an exo-suit: a protective case for the natural softness.”
Zhee held the pose. “A glorious one.”
“Yes, Zhee. You’re very pretty.” Mur sounded more than a little patronizing, but Zhee didn’t seem to mind.
“That is the proper amount of respect,” the bug alien said. He relaxed to grasp the cart handles with his pinchers, and towed it out of the room. “I will return with more freeze-dried foodstuffs. Make sure you tie those crates down.”
“Yeah, we’ve got it,” Mur told him. “Make sure you get the right ones; two of the three shipments look similar.”
“This is obvious to one with such excellent color vision as myself.”
Mur made the little popping noises that pass for laughter, and turned toward the adjustable netting. He threw one end to me.
We spent the next few minutes fastening things down to industry standards, which still seemed a little excessive. I’d never seen the ship’s antigravity fail yet, but I supposed meteor impacts were possible. Some of those buggers were much faster than I’d ever expected before I got into space.
“We’re going to need a replacement for this one,” Mur said, fingering a hole in one net. (Does it count as “fingering” if he used a tentacle-tip? “Tentacling” just doesn’t sound right.) He set it aside near the door.
“Do we have enough for now?” I asked.
“Yeah, probably,” he said. “We just can’t forget on the next restocking trip. Hey Paint!” he called after someone who’d just passed the doorway.
“Paint,” she said, replying with her own name where I would have said “Yes?” or “What?” Her full name was Painted Sunset, but since that sounded way too much like the captain’s name, Piercing Sunlight, she just stuck to Paint. She poked her snout of mottled orange scales around the doorframe, all polite curiosity.
“Can you put another net on the shopping list?” Mur asked.
“Big or small?”
“Big please.”
“Got it. One question for you.”
“What’s that?” Mur asked.
Paint spun to stick her tail out into the doorway. She had something taped to it — a stapler? Whatever it was, it clacked like a tiny crocodile when she moved. “Have you seen any tasty fish around here?” she said in a growly voice. “Rawr!”
With a long-suffering sigh, Mur told her, “No, but there are probably some in the kitchen.”
“Thanks!” Paint spun again and stuck her head out. “Was it scary? I think it needs eyes to be really scary.”
Mur sighed.
“That was good!” I said. “Eyes would be better. Hey, do you have access to googly eyes out here? The little sticky ones?”
“No, what are those?” Paint asked, walking into the room. “They sound fun.”
“They are!” I told her. “I used to like putting two on my hand and making a little face, like this.” I demonstrated, wrapping a forefinger around my thumb and moving both together like a talking mouth. “‘Hello! I don’t have teef.’”
Paint thought this was the best thing ever, and despite Mur’s eye-rolling maturity, he couldn’t take his eyes off the display.
“That is unsettlingly convincing,” he admitted. “Even without eyes. If I saw that sneak around a corner and start talking to me, I’d believe we had a stowaway of a species I’d never seen before.” He pointed three tentacles at my face. “Do NOT do that as a prank, or I’ll throw your shoes out the airlock. I know you treasure those.”
“It’s not that I treasure them,” I said. “The floor is just cold without them, and I could step on something sharp.”
“Yeah, so? That’s life,” the squidlike alien said. “You don’t see me wearing an exo-suit about the ship just because the floor is cold.”
“Hey, do that hand thing one more time,” Paint said. “I think I’ve almost got it.” Her scaly orange fingers were too short to manage the same effect, but she was trying.
“More crates,” announced Zhee from the hallway. “Make some emptiness.”
The three of us moved aside for him to direct the hovercart into place. Paint gushed about the hand thing.
“It looks so convincing! I can’t do it right. Show him!”
I did, feeling a bit silly in front of his unblinking, massive eyes. His antennae held still, making his expression hard to read. “‘Hello,’” I said. “‘I’m a mouth.’”
“That’s not a mouth,” he declared.
Before I could say yeah, that’s the point, he stepped back from the cart. With a flourish, he tucked his head low against his shoulders and bent his pincher arms into a terrifying facsimile of a gaping jaw, lined with teeth.
Paint squeaked. Mur slapped a tentacle against the floor.
“Wow,” I said. “Yeah, googly eyes have nothing on that.”
Mur pointed at him. “I see you also have a potential prank that you should not pull.”
At the same time, Paint exclaimed, “You have to show Sunlight!”
Mur gave her a look. “Do not terrify the captain.”
“No no, she’ll love it.”
“I’m pretty sure she’s busy.”
Paint rubbed her chin as Zhee resumed a normal posture. “It wouldn’t take long, but yeah, she’s busy. Dinnertime? Oh, and you have to show off your thing too!” she said, pointing at me.
Mur started to naysay, but I said, “Oh, like a talent show?”
“I have all of the talent,” Zhee announced.
Paint was delighted. Mur waved his tentacles about and went back to work, while Zhee launched into a story of the time he scared off a predator with the “false jaws” trick.
“Come on, let’s tell everybody else about the talent show!” Paint said. “This’ll be great!” She waved for Zhee to follow her, and he went, still talking.
Mur grumbled. “Dinner is going to be interesting. I hope it doesn’t put anyone off their food.”
“I’ll try not to do anything bone-related,” I said.
“I appreciate the restraint.”
After a moment of handling crates, I asked, “Did you know our blood is made inside our bones?”
“Oh, that is so much worse! I may just get sick ahead of time.”

More fun and games with backstory for the book. Not as much action this time, but some very important conversation.
