i know that the discourse is primarily about whether or not joel made the right call. and that's, of course, a very compelling question. the horror and uncertainty and love in that question make it such a beautiful and profound example of negative capability (at least when you don't immediately jump to and defend and answer).
however, there's another question that only asking the above overlooks. were the fireflies right? i'm going to argue that the answer is no. clearly, this was a group of people who wanted to save the world in anyway they could. but they are also largely a group of people who grew up before the world ended, and so they could only conceive of solutions that they thought could recreate what they lost. marleen says that ellie will still be in danger because the world is still broken; she says it like making a cure will somehow unbreak the world. but the whole series we've seen that the uninfected people were far more frightening than the infected ones. a cure wouldn't suddenly turn the raiders and the slavers and the people like david into good people. it wouldn't give you a fighting edge over them.
ellie was born after the end; the world as it is in the series is her world. for better or worse, it isn't right to sacrifice her in the hopes that you can regain what can never really be gotten back. what the fireflies should have been trying to work out was how to build something better in the world that existed; how to create solutions that look forward and not backward. the people in jackson built something good, even with the issues they still face. bill and frank built something good by opting out of all the miserable systems of power and control around them. if the only change you ever try to make is to return things to some status quo, then you won't really accomplish change.

Yandere Class 1A x reader
yeah, uh, i hate this, but you get what you get
Tumblr media
mbe masterlist
Tumblr media
Izuku was at a loss.
He'd tried everything - absolutely everything - to get you to open up. To talk. To partake in group activities outside of class
But no matter what he did, no matter how he tried to sell the idea, no matter how manipulative he was, you declined.
Every. Single. Time.
What made it worse was that he knew several other people in your class were trying to achieve the same thing.
Mina had invited you out more times than he could keep count of, and each time she was met with a short, harsh rejection.
Sero and Kaminari had joked with you, trying to get you to at least crack a hint of a smile.
No success.
Momo constantly offered to help you study, and when you inevitably said no, she would insist on tea parties and lunch dates and shopping trips with the rest of the girls in the class. You had stared at her with a blank gaze until she felt uncomfortable enough to leave.
Even Uraraka, as sweet as she was, was unable to crack your tough exterior.
Izuku realised that they were quickly running out of options. They'd run through the list of class members they could turn to for a solution, and sooner or later they'd have to accept the worst-case scenario.
They'd have to ask Bakugo for help.
****
You hated your classmates.
They were annoying. They were insistent.
When they were around, you never got so much as two minutes of peace and quiet.
It was bearable during the first few months of your first year, when you could go home and have a break from their never-ending questions.
But then the school had decided that it was in the best interest of the students to have you all move into dorms.
You hadn't known a single moment of peace since.
There always seemed to be someone attached to your hip, or trailing a few steps behind you, or eyeing you from across the room.
It was annoying, and you thought you’d made that clear.
In the beginning, you thought they had all been so insistent because they were curious about your quirk.
That in itself was understandable - no one knew one another, so it was natural for everyone to want to get to know their classmates quirks.
You knew of everyone else’s quirks - of course you did, you knew everything about them - and for the most part, they knew about yours, or as much as you’d told them.
Teleportation.
You thought that would be enough to satiate them, but evidently, you were wrong.
At first, your classmates, Izuku specifically, wanted to know about all the intricacies of your quirk - the parameters, drawbacks, limits, range, all of it. That had been the first warning sign. You were taught growing up to never tell anyone more about your quirk than they needed to know. That was enough for you to avoid Izuku.
All of your classmates seemed to be in awe of your power, which was strange.  You weren’t particularly fond of your quirk. It was just so boring.
Teleportation, especially at your current level, wasn’t very useful to a hero. You weren’t much good when you were only able to teleport yourself.
Regardless, you were working on improving your quirk as best you could.
A small part of your mind whispered to you that they knew about things they shouldn’t, but that was just the usual bout of paranoia getting to you. You’d know whatever they knew straight away.
****
You teleportation quirk had developed at four years old, which was slightly younger than your father had been banking on. He’d gone to great lengths to teach you how to control your ability - at four years old, you had a tendency to just disappear. Not because you wanted to, or because you were actively thinking about leaving. No, it was more because you had absolutely zero control over yourself or your quirk.
By the time you turned six, you’d mastered the control your father so desperately wanted you to learn. You found that keeping your emotions in check helped more than consciously thinking about not using your quirk.
That degree of control couldn’t have developed at a better time, because eight months later, right before your seventh birthday, you developed your second quirk.
Telepathy.
That’s what became the real bane of your existence.
Sure, you were blessed to have two quirks. In fact, you loved it as a child. But controlling this quirk proved to be significantly more difficult than your first.
You managed to get it under control, for the most part. You made sure that you weren’t blaring your thoughts out loud constantly, and you learnt how to talk to people one on one pretty quickly.
What you couldn’t control, even close to ten years after discovering your second quirk, was how to shut other people’s thoughts out.
It was a never-ending battle, trying not to up and leave whenever you got too overwhelmed.
You’re sure someone could have helped you. The adults in your life - middle school teachers, your friends, their parents, maybe even Mr Aizawa and your classmates could have helped you, but you would never breathe so much as a word to them about your quirk - not when you saw how people reacted to the idea of someone being able to read their every thought.
So you kept it to yourself, occasionally making use of your teleportation quirk to get a moment of silence, leaping far, far away from civilisation, from people’s thoughts.
In those moments alone, it wasn’t so bad. You thought about how incredible your quirks actually were, about how fortunate you were to have a quirk at all, never mind two.
Then you’d return back to your dorm, and the cycle would repeat.
****
You would admit, it was pretty funny.
Hearing how strangely obsessed your classmates were with you was actually hilarious, especially considering they thought you had no idea. Not to mention, constantly ruining their supposedly brilliant plans.
Some of their ideas truly were brilliant, and they may have worked, had you not known about them in advance.
There were times that you almost felt bad for them. Almost. But playing along with them, seeing just how far you could push them without raising suspicion - it was fun.
Like right now, for example.
“-but I’m sure the weather will be clear enough for a picnic next weekend, since you don’t seem to like the idea of a tea party. What do you think?”
Yaoyorozu and Mina, who stood in front of your desk as you stared out the window, were still talking. Of course, what they were saying sounded nice enough, but their thoughts betrayed their true intentions.
Come oooonnnnnn, say yes, say yes! Just one bit of personal information, that’s all I need. I absolutely have to win this bet with Kaminari, so just give me something to work with!
Mina was someone who remained loud and talkative both within her mind, and when talking to people aloud.
The bet she was thinking about had been a running gag for a while now, something you had almost grown bored of.
Mina, Denki and Sero had made a bet; whoever was first to learn a tidbit of personal information about you, from you, got free reign of the communal gaming system in the dorm lounge for a month.
At least, that's what it started out as in the beginning.
It quickly reached the ears of the other students in your class, and everyone wanted in on the bet.
The promise of dibs on the game system long forgotten, their focus quickly moved on to bragging rights - after all, getting you to reveal any amount of personal information was seen as a great feat, one worthy of praise.
It had been funny at first, seeing how they scrambled to talk to you first, or the awkward ways they interacted with you to get even the slightest sliver of information.
Now, their thoughts gave you a headache whenever they were near.
You could probably have gone to Mr Aizawa if you had to - you were sure you could fabricate some evidence of their weird behaviour and have him intervene.
But the problem was, he was just as bad.
He had this weird, protective mindset.
It had creeped you out at first, but with time, you'd almost grown fond of his concern. It was... endearing. Kind of. Like a father. Or a puppy.
Regardless, he knew about their antics, and he hadn't bothered with them so far, so you decided it would be best if you kept your knowledge of the situation to yourself.
“No. Thank you though,” you reply smoothly, turning away from them to signal the end of the conversation.
But of course, they never really took no as an answer.
“Why? If it’s because you don’t want to be around a ton of people, then don’t worry about it - it’ll be like, eight of us. Please,” they ask, eyes wide and hopeful.
You’re saved, literally, by All Might entering the classroom with a silent shuffle.
“To your seats everyone, get to your seats please.”
****
Even without the use of your quirk, you can feel your class glowering from across the room.
You aren’t sure how your purple haired companion doesn’t realise that they’re glaring daggers at him - he really doesn’t even register that they’re looking at him at all.
But he doesn’t mention it, and no thoughts of them cross his mind, so you pay them no mind.
You liked Shinso. He was good company - quiet, polite, and his thoughts were the kind that barely skirted the edge of your consciousness. Being around him was like a breath of fresh air, so you clung to him.
It wasn’t often that you found someone who didn’t induce a migraine as soon as they entered the room. In fact, you could count on one hand the number of people you’d met that you could tolerate for longer than ten minutes.
Shinso was one, and Aizawa, surprisingly, was another.
Even more surprising than that though, had to be that Bakugo of all people had a quiet mind.
If anyone had known about your quirk and you told them, you were sure they’d call you a liar.
But it was the truth. The angry blond had such a tranquil mind that, if he allowed it, you’d befriend him. But you’d grown an aversion to being near him, as wherever Bakugo was, a crowd of classmates was sure to follow.
You’re brought back to the present moment as Shinso shakes his hand in front of your face, throwing you a quizzical look.
“Ah, sorry, I zoned out.”
He nods in understanding, before glancing behind you.
“Just thought I’d let you know; your classmates look like they want my head on a stick,” he says in a bored tone, eyes sliding back to you a moment later.
You make a noise at the back of your throat.
“Yeah,” you wince, “I noticed that. I didn’t want to mention it.”
He shrugs, standing up and offering you his hand.
“Well, then let’s find somewhere else to sit, huh?”
You smile. Your classmates are outraged, seething as you accept his hand and sweep out of the cafeteria.
Thank goodness, you think, there were so many voices.
You only went to the cafeteria because Shinso liked the soba they served.
Honestly, braving the bustling centre felt like someone was hitting between your eyes with an ice-pick - pure torture.
The flood of thoughts fades as the two of you walk further from the main building, and your shoulders slump with relief.
If he notices, Shinso doesn’t comment. You’d thought originally that he was just extremely unobservant, but he really just didn’t think about or mention anything unless it raised any actual concern.
You’d realised that when you had accompanied him to a private training session with Aizawa, and you’d had a migraine from a long day of dealing with your classmates.
He only brought it up, openly thought about it when he saw how you grabbed at your head out of the corner of his eye.
Being with him was peaceful, you’d realised in that moment, because he had incredible control over his thoughts. That must have been because of his own predominantly mental quirk.
The thought made you happy, for some reason.
****
You liked when Mr Aizawa used his quirk on you.
The rest of your classmates hated it, and it really seemed to throw them off, but to you, it felt like sweet relief. It made everything quiet. Peaceful.
There were times where it threw you off, suddenly hearing nothing but radio silence, but after some adjustment, it was as if someone had released the pressure on your skull. Not that he, or anyone else knew.
Though, on some occasions, when he looked at you before you had time to mask the relief on your face, you saw the slight glimmer of something akin to realisation in his eyes. If he knew, he never brought it up.
It should’ve had you on edge - the fact that he might’ve known, but never said anything. But it didn’t. You didn’t know why.
If anyone were to discover your second quirk, you’d be in a world of trouble. Having an unregistered quirk, especially at your age, in UA of all places - it was unheard of.
It was criminal.
So you should’ve been terrified at the thought of someone finding out, knowing about your quirk.
But surely if he knew, he’d have brought it up by now?
“Quiet down class,” Aizawa demands flatly.
They don’t listen. Of course they don’t.
Their incessant chatter matches their constant barrage of thoughts, and it seems particularly noisy today. All their thoughts are focused on you, and it leaves a sharp throb in your temples.
Aizawa glares at them, eyes flashing crimson for a moment, and you feel all the tension melt away. You prepare yourself for the inevitable rush of returning voices, but it doesn’t come. Aizawa, for some reason, keeps his quirk activated, gaze roaming the class, lingering on you for a second too long before he looks away, brows furrowing as he blinks.
You mask your wince with an awkward cough, shifting in your seat. Now, most thoughts were centred around Aizawa and how scary he was.
The thought makes you laugh. They were so far off the mark, it was comical. Aizawa was like an overly concerned parent, thoughts constantly circling his students, how he could push them to be better. Honestly, it was quite heart warming, and the fact that his actions were so glaringly different to his thoughts made it ten times funnier.
Aizawa calls your name, drawing you out of your thoughts.
“Sensei?”
“See me after class.”
Before you have a chance to delve into his mind to see what he was thinking, a barrage of thoughts hit you from all angles, your classmates wondering, like you, what this was all about.
You don’t give much thought to his request, too overwhelmed to try and sift through the turbulent sea of thoughts.
****
Aizawa schools his expression, staring down at you blankly.
“Well?”
You looked so young like this – wide eyed, trembling hands, pale, blanched face. You were panicked. He knew you were, but he made no move to ease your worries, waiting instead for confirmation.
“I– Sensei…”
He feels his brow twitch.
Not in annoyance. Not with you. Never you. You tended to tug at his heart strings, for reasons he didn’t fully understand.
Maybe because you were so young? You appeared younger still with that gleam of innocence in your eyes. Hero society was no place for someone like you - you were someone heroes should be protecting, rather than welcoming into their ranks.
“Answer the question.”
Your throat bobs as you swallow and turn your head to look out the window.
Were you thinking of a way to talk yourself out the situation? Were you trying to find a way to play off his discovery as nothing more than a funny happenstance? He didn’t doubt it.
“…yes.”
The word weighs heavily on you, shoulders sagging as you stand before him, curling in on yourself. His heart aches at the sight.
How overwhelming was it, to keep something like this to yourself? To live in fear of someone discovering your secret and hating you for it?
“And you’ve kept this to yourself for the past ten years? You’ve had no training or help whatsoever?”
You seem surprised at the shock colouring his tone, as if you’d expected him to be angry or fearful, rather than sympathetic. Again, he wondered how you’d dealt with this all alone for so long.
He sighs.
“You’re not in trouble. I’m not mad.”
He sees the tension melt from your posture in real time, as if someone had lifted an anvil off your shoulders.
“If you’d like, I can help you. We could do some training after classes; help you learn control? I can’t promise anything, but it might help.”
Of all the things Aizawa had expected to happen, you bursting into tears wasn’t one of them. Some long buried protective instinct rears it’s head at the sight of your red rimmed eyes as you try desperately to mop away the tears on your cheeks.
He awkwardly shifts from one foot to another, patting your shoulder in a pathetic attempt to comfort you.
“I’m really not in trouble? Y-You don’t hate me for listening in on your thoughts without permission?”
Again, that same painful clench in his heart.
“No, I don’t. Why would I hate you for something you can’t control? None of your classmates would either, I can promise you that.”
Aizawa spends the next twenty minutes clumsily comforting you, dismissing you as soon as your tears have stopped and he makes his way to the principal’s office a few minutes later. When he arrives, he’s immediately greeted by a very tense looking All Might and an oblivious, chattering Nezu.
He seats himself in the armchair next to Toshinori, posture sagging.
“You were right.”
Nezu cackles at that, hardly able to get a word in through his triumphant laughter. His reaction is in stark contrast to the other two men and their responses. The two share a tense, understanding look, glancing back at Nezu as he calms his laughter.
“Oh, this is most wonderful! I can’t wait to see what happens!”
Guilt eats away at Aizawa. He could only hope you wouldn’t hate him and Toshinori, or even your classmates for what they planned on doing.

Kafka + Bondage and Teasing
Pairing: Kafka x Fem!Reader
Tags: nsfw, smut, bondage, teasing, orders, clit stimulation, restraints, fingering
A/N: Dommie mommy time!
Tumblr media
Kafka is never cruel to you, she will discipline you but never with pain, unless you beg for the pain
More then pain she enjoys watching you squirm, tied up, your wrists behind your back, your legs spread, bent ad the knees and tied to your body, the trope going under and over your breasts, rendering you immobile, unable to take matters into your own hands
Because really, it's only at her hands that you should get pleasure, if you get any at all
She could leave you like this for hours, pussy wet and aching, no toy, not stimulating of any kind, just a painful emptiness
You don't want that of course, you want to be her good girl so you can feel that pleasure that only she has the power to grant, want to be still for as she leaves her lipstick marks all over your body, as she slowly takes off her gloves and teases your clit, daring you to move
Kafka knows you wouldn't disobey and try to get out of your restrains but she always leaves them a tiny bit more loose then needed so she could be sure you really know your place
The real challenge is keeping still when she starts fingerfucking you
If you can't manage that she has a solution for it, but for that you'll have to get down on your hands and knees, let her tie your hands behind your back and let her control how much you can and cannot move
When you can take her fingers without bucking backwards you're ready for her strap, but no sooner
Really weather you get fucked hard or teased to no end depends on how much of your disobedience, if any, she's willing to tolerate that day

"He should (not) allow it." FUTURE!LEONARDO X FUTURE!HUMAN!READER
Relationship status: Romantic
Reader prounouns: She/Her
Words: 1566
TW: Some grammatical errors because english is not my first language, angst, toxic thinking, future setting
A/N: The idea for this story I had for a couple of months, and only now managed to bring it to life. It didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, but it's pretty close. Also, today is my birthday. Yay...
Enjoy
Tumblr media
"What do you think, huh?!"
[Y.N] expelled a breath as she was pushed with rough gentleness into the center of a small private bedroom. Her brows remained unmoved, teeth clenched in anger.
"What's your problem, Leo?!" she responded with a question, straightening up to face the mutated turtle who forcefully closed the door, seemingly hurting it more than her.
Not sure what was going on, but not an idiot, she had her suspicions.
"Another base got attacked," Draxum said in a tone of indifference, but his old face betrayed considerable pain. "They're all gone."
The group gathered in the main room of the base under New York, or rather its rubble, expressed a collective murmur of additional words of disbelief or mourning; even if they didn't know these people, they were in the same position, knowing what they felt.
"What do we do now, Leonardo?" April asked, only showing furrowed brows. "It's only a matter of time before the Kraang and others attack us." Her words were logical, especially knowing how cruel and ruthless the aliens were, even to their own. Her chocolate eyes often noticed exhausted brains, dying from exhaustion, in their torturous work.
The turtle's eyes twitched slightly, probably not having slept all night, contemplating all of this since Donatello left. He had not only the planning on his mind but also the entire base's technology. He felt he was slowly losing control, but he couldn't show weakness, not now, not ever. "We'll have to boost the security and fuses; we can't afford them burning out during a potential attack," he said, adjusting his blue scarf. When was the last time he washed it? With a low water supply, laundry had become the worst option.
"Forgive me, leader," the dark eyes of the redearslicer rested on the slightly taller figure who raised his hand to stand out from the crowd. Ah, one of those geniuses who worked with his twin brother. You could see red eyes on the mutant—was it from fatigue or tears shed for a lost person? "But we'll need to conduct further reconnaissance to gather new materials for such an upgrade. Currently, we're lacking many things."
"Right..." Leonardo mumbled quietly, uncomfortably shifting his gaze. "So, we'll do it tonight."
"Yeah! Another round of taking down those damn meatbags!" Cassandra exclaimed joyfully, raising her hands with her wild gaze. Numerous deep scars adorned her bare shoulders, complementing simple childish drawings made by her son.
"However, many of ours were severely beaten last time; they're still in the infirmary wing," the African American woman pointed out sharply, crossing her arms. "We need to wait at least a week to carry out such an action safely!"
Leo had a strong urge to respond sarcastically to these objections but bit his tongue, not wanting to get into another argument.
"Well, then...!"
"I have an idea for a potential solution." All eyes turned again to the older goat when he spoke.
"What is it?" Leonardo's voice resonated lightly. He felt relieved that someone as intelligent as Draxum had an idea, but also uneasy, knowing his past.
"We'll use my mutagen to strengthen our power."
The turtle's pupils narrowed at the sound of his second 'father's' words. It was... unimaginable! "W-what?" he stammered, taking a step forward to stabilize his posture. "Use the mutagen? That damn slime?" He didn't want to use such strong words, but his shock exceeded his manners.
Baron Draxum cleared his throat, ignoring the term for his experiment. "I believe it's the best course of action in this situation. Analyzing past events and the likelihood of future ones, we need a survival factor."
Leonardo took in stale air, waiting for further elaboration on this idea. Why did he still feel uneasy hearing this?
"So, people would have to take the right dose of this green liquid to transform into the appropriate Yokai."
"That sounds absurd," the red-faced one acknowledged, placing a hand on his hip. "It's dangerous, especially in these conditions."
"I don't deny it, but I think it could eliminate most diseases for which we no longer have a cure." "And after failed attacks, people could have a better chance of defense and faster regeneration depending on the mutants they transform into. You know that well, Leonardo." The turtle automatically felt a tingling on his shell in places where previous wounds had faded over time.
"... Still, it sounds wrong." But why? Why do you think that way? Is it your current mindset, or is it from years ago?
"But... Draxum is right," April admitted, walking to stand beside the goat. "Without it, our chance of survival is low."
"Wait...!"
"We can test it today; I need at least one volunteer."
Everyone glanced at the person next to them, waiting for any reaction. Well, no one is deciding; it will be fine...!
"I... I volunteer." Leonardo's eyes widened as he noticed his partner, who, despite holding a box, raised her hand. There was determination on her face.
"You're being unreasonable!" Although Leo's voice usually had a light tone, at this moment, it was deep and aggressive. The fact that he strongly gestured with his only arm didn't help. "Agreeing to something like this? Are you insane?"
"Leon, listen!"
"No 'listen'!" The man snarled, approaching his beloved, causing an odd dominance. "What you've decided is utterly idiotic!"
"No, it's not. I'm just considering the well-being of the rest!" The woman held her ground, taking a step forward and delicately touching her chest to her fiancé's. Her eyes were sharp, causing a slight embarrassment in Leonardo's mind. He didn't usually behave this way, but he let his emotions take over.
"All that will result from this is total chaos and pain!"
"As if there isn't chaos and pain right now!" She emphasized, gesturing as well. She felt the pressure in her head increasing, and the hope for calming down diminishing. "You need to take a breath and think about it rationally, Leo."
"Ohohoho! Sure!" His tone became more mocking, and he started to pace, adding drama. "I've known that lunatic much longer than you. I know the messed-up things he's done! And you want that green crap to flow through your veins? You should have higher standards!"
"Apparently, I don't, since I chose you, someone who has the same thing in their body!"
A sharp intake of air escaped the turtle as he stood still. His face showed wounded pride, not from his fiancée's words but from his logical error. Fool.
After a moment, [Y.N] took a breath, wanting to calm down. "Leonardo, listen." Her smaller hands moved gracefully, as if she were trying to tame a wild animal that no longer existed in these times. "Draxum is right. Thanks to this slime, most of us will have a better chance of survival."
"That doesn't change the fact that it's total nonsense," the man muttered quietly, burying his chin further into the blue fabric. "Something like this is incredibly painful for an ordinary person, especially in circumstances where there's hunger, filth, death..." His voice slowly broke. Before, he didn't care much about humans; their rescue was just an addition to victory when he fought. But now? Especially since his dearest person is one of them?
"Leon, tell me directly what's going on."
"I feel awful," Leonardo began, letting his crystalline tears flow. "My brothers, Raph and Donnie... I couldn't save them...!" Before he realized it, he tightly embraced the woman, who motherly patted his shoulder or shell. "And even earlier, Dad..." pain "You don't even know how much I wish this invasion didn't happen, that everything was normal." "Or not to get used to every current situation; it hurts so much when everything 'falls into place,' and suddenly something crumbles or someone dies!"
"I understand you, that's why this mutation is needed."
"No, you don't understand..." his whisper pierced [Y.N]'s ears. He pulled away slightly from her silhouette to look into her [COLOR] eyes. "I don't want any changes because it's all I have when it comes to a connection with a normal past." His hand gently caressed the cheek of the person in front of him. "The fact that you're human reminds me of good times, of safety. If that disappears..."
A sense of guilt lingered in both of their hearts. For more or less rational reasons.
The woman averted her gaze, placing her hand on a larger counterpart of the turtle. She sighed softly and smiled reassuringly. "A-alright, you're right."
Another embrace, this time stronger than the previous one. "Thank you... I love you, and I don't want to lose you..."
"Same here..."
"But you know, I would look interesting as a mutated turtle!"
"You'd be bald as a knee."
"You say it as if it were a flaw, egghead."
Laughter echoed in Leonardo's mind as he looked in disbelief at the torn body beneath his feet, covered in red ash.
"This... can't be!" He immediately fell to the ground, brushing the sand off the face of the corpse before him. The man wasn't a believer, but with each passing second, he prayed for it to be a simple dream, a regular nightmare in his brain. Unfortunately... "[Y.N]!"
Amidst the distant sounds of battle, his roar and sobbing resonated among the rubble as he cradled the lifeless body of his fiancée in his plastron.
He should allow it.

Some guy, and all his friends!
I wanted to do that relationship chart that went around forever ago, BUT I wanted to try my best to draw the gang. So I'm getting on this bandwagon late BUT I DID IT (minus Minthara, he's never gotten to really meet her)
And then I got carried away and wrote out little blurbs for the gang (I am n o t a writer) so that's below the cut. "Enemies" is also way too strong a word for all his companions he just "had beef" with.
Astarion: Their relationship is surprisingly complex. Gideon was already wary of Astarion upon first meeting him because he claimed to be a magistrate from Baldur's Gate. Gid is heavily suspicious of everyone he encounters with any ties to nobility or the Upper City. He is hiding a huge part of his life from the entire party afterall, meeting someone too close to his old life could prove to be a problem, should they have ever crossed paths with him or his family. However upon finding out Astarion was a vampire he feels a bit more at ease, selfishly he sees this as his advantage over the elf. If he knew too much, or even just more than he was letting on, Gid could have a response. Thankfully nothing ever really came of his worries. He honestly wasn't all that threatened by Astarion. Whether true or not, he believed whole heartedly that he could deal with a vampire should the need arise, and it almost did, they got in a rather intense scuffle the first time Astarion tried to bite him, that was a bit of a bad look, Gideon didn't appreciate it. But, after a couple of rough patches they do end up becoming genuine friends. Astarion saw him as a means to an end, a meat shield who could protect him if it came down theough it: and Gideon willingly did just that, minus the "meat shield" part, he didn't know Astarion called him that… But multiple times throughout their travels the barbarian assured Astarion he wouldn't let anything happen to him, and over time Astarion realized he believed him.
Gale: Gale is... the first subject of Gideon’s... bullying? Gideon has some pretty intense feelings about spellcasters. Traditional spellcasters mind you, he displays very obvious distrust of sorcerers, wizards, and warlocks. So he isn't always very nice to Gale, who tends to go out of his way to be courteous to him despite the way he's treated. Gideon harshly rejects his offers to show him magic, he doesn't humor his musings about the weave, the only kindness he gets from Gideon is that the barbarian is at least sympathetic to his condition. Gideon actually knows Gale from the city, on a surface level. Gid's mother was an enchantress, she had her finger on the pulse of everything related to magic. So of course she heard of Mystra's Chosen and by extension the tiefling did as well. Gale was something Gideon studied years to never become, a prodigy, a powerful master of arcana. Gideon resents him, for these things that are out of his control. Upon finding out more about Gale's situation, and the revelation of Mystra's coldness and true intentions, Gideon becomes kinder to him. Even apologizing for any of his actions. They do become friends, and Gid values him as such. Hoping he'll understand that he's so much more than his magic and his goddess.
Halsin: Gideon doesn't have many thoughts on Halsin. He sees him as well spoken and wise but beyond that the tiefling doesn't have much of a relationship with the druid. It's in part because he frequently finds himself embarrassed by Halsin's flattery and he just doesn't quiet know how to talk to him. But also because Gideon’s “solutions” to problems, aren't usually the way Halsin would solve problems. Where Halsin believes There could be a more peaceful resolution, the odds of Gideon using brute force and intimidation before peace is even considered is always higher than not. They have a mutual respect for one another, but not much else beyond that.
Jaheria: It's hard to tell if she actually enjoys him, or if it’s some sort of pity that shapes their relationship, but Jaheria does like Gid, and the feelings are mutual. Gideon greatly admires her. It's that he clearly just admires her as a person, and finds her presence comforting, since he actually admitted to not really knowing much of her story, given his sheltered life there are lots of things he isn't quiet aware of. She seems to understand that and treats him kindly after their rocky first meeting. He is often able to convince her to share some stories with them under the guise that he and Karlach want to listen, when in reality he wants to know more about her, and she knows that, but humors him anyway. His cautious optimism and steadfast bravery remind her of friends who've come and gone, and she hopes he finds the life he deserves at the end of everything.
Karlach: They knew eachother once. Though neither recalls because time has been cruel. But they did. They met as kids, and only knew eachother by informal names. She just called him Evervale, and he only knew her as K. They weren't in each other's lives long, so when they met again some decade later they were none the wiser. She is easily the companion to become the closest to him, the quickest. They have a lot in common despite living two very different lives. It's not hard to see why they had little crushes on one another for a pretty long time. But it never really develops into any besides that: a crush, puppy love. They're platonic soulmates in every right, or maybe 'right person, wrong time'? There is a certain tragedy to their relationship but it becomes clear to everyone (except him... for awhile atleast) that he clearly loves someone else and they aren't meant for eachother like that. She's actually the one who points it out to him, insisting he should go with his heart. This actually hurts him a little as he doesn't see the truth in her words, and for awhile they stop speaking as Gideon isolates himself. But that doesn't last long at all, when the part encounters Dammon again at Last Light Inn. With Karlach's second upgrade Gideon can't stop himself from pulling her in to a hug, which he returns instantly. With the moment quickly turning somber at the news they receive about her engine. The two spend that night together as friends, though he tries to ask her about her engine he stops when she asks him to, and they just spend the night sharing some drinks and stories under the stars.
By the time they reach Baldur's Gate they're pretty much inseparable, attached at the hip wherever they go having one pretty significant squabble about Raphael but in the end there's not many people he trusts as much as her. And he holds her trust in him as an incredibly high honor he doesn't take lightly and would do anything for her.
Lae'zel: Gideon greatly respects Lae'zel. Lae'zel… acknowledges he exists. The way he looks at Shadowheart disgusts her, the way he empathizes with strangers disgusts her- she sees him as soft and weak, perhaps rightfully so. When meeting strangers sometimes Gideon will withhold some of the truth about his class, if not outright lie. As a noble he has preconceived notions about how someone claiming to be a "barbarian" may be perceived. So upon meeting the party, he told them he was simply a fighter, something he tried to use as common ground with Lae'zel. If anything this just made it worse, as she would often comment on how tender he tended to be, and how it was a miracle he hadn’t be brutally gutted yet, as he lacked discipline and principle. This charade couldn't last forever though, as in one particular fight, when their tiefling 'fighter' friend flew off the handle and brutally pummeled some goblins with a rock after one caught the Bard he befriended with a stray arrow, the party had more than a few questions; it was obvious their blood soaked fighter wasn't entirely honest with them. While everyone else briefly felt a little more tense around him, Lae'zel actually softened toward him. They reached some form of understanding. He was simply a different kind of warrior than she was, and a fearsome one at that, she grew to respect him and he returned it in kind. They become genuine friends after everything, and eventually he even gets the 'Thank you' he asked for all that time ago.
Shadowheart: I'm not immune to the "A fell first, B fell harder" trope, and that is them in a nutshell. Gideon liked her pretty early on in a platonic way, he found her company enjoyable enough. Though by his own standards of "enjoyable", a lot of their time spent together then, was him irritating her. He saved her life once and that was really the only thing they had between them. She was secretive and guarded, he was somewhat honest and eager to help. She felt he was an idiot with a bleeding heart, who shared far too much with strangers, and he felt she was just kind of mean. That didn't stop him from developing feelings toward her, however they weren't so obvious, as if he didn't even realize it himself. He was the only member of the party to seem unrattled by her revelation of Shar worship, which is what perhaps made her see him as a real ally. She confided in him, and without fail he listened. Now whether or not he would throw in a joke in response was up in the air, but it was never malicious, and he always knew there was a time and a place. His goal was never to actively hurt or upset her, though he did tend to pry when she would make vague comments about her mission or getting back to the city. It was to be expected, that was their dynamic. It would actually be Shadowheart who confronted his feelings toward her. They spend the night of the Grove Party together and the next morning she muses about how for some reason she thought he wanted to kiss her, and that he would but didn't... He's an idiot, he plays it off, they have a laugh, but this is a turning point for the both of them.
The Shadowcursed Lands are particularly hard on him, even though he isn't a religious man, uncovering the story of Moonrise and what befell the town of Reithwin because of Shar, really shakes him. He and Shadowheart drift apart during this time as the way he sees her actually shifts. After she choses to spare the Nightsong, when they escape the Shadowfell, Gideon is the first person to rush to her. It is in this moment the barbarian finally confesses how he feels and she returns those feelings.
Gideon doesn't see much in himself, but she sees him as a light in the dark. The irony of it is, that's exactly how he sees her too. They're a balance neither realized they needed.
He and Wyll are also ironically two endings of a similar story, Gideon realizes this, and it drives him mad. Wyll is noble hearted, wants to do what's right, and free himself in the process; Gideon is furious, wants to survive, and is destroying himself in his efforts to do so. Unlike Wyll, Gideon believes he will never be free of his family name, he will never be anyone more than Gideon Evervale. There are no legendary heroics in his future, he is no Blade of Frontiers, he is simply an angry, hurt man, who can't escape the darkness that haunts him.
Wyll: Wyll is so kind, and patient, and good… and Gideon can't stand that about him. While Wyll likes Gid well enough, Gideon is extremely cold and abrasive towards Wyll. Again Gideon doesn't trust magic users, wizards, sorcerers, warlocks. Things like Arcane Tricksters or Paladins or Clerics don't seem to bother him, but he is extremely wary of spellcasters. (He has a big "I told you so" moment after the party meets Lorroakan. He talks about it for days after, he is extremely committed to this bit. “Oh, who would've thought the sorcerer who sent mercs to hunt Aylin was a BAD GUY”)
These feelings are obvious one sided, Wyll is always kind and patient with Gid no matter how the barbarian treats him, because he can see Gideon is hurting, and his anger is misplaced.
As their respective stories unfold Gideon does grow kinder to Wyll, as the Warlock along with the others eventually learn the truth about their barbarian, and he can see Gideon’s rage. And Gideon comes to realize just how much he and Wyll have in common when the party learns about the Duke. Gideon does eventually apologize to Wyll, for everything he ever said or did. He acknowledges the other man had no reason to be so understanding to him, when all he ever was was cruel.
They respect eachother in the end. The warlock helps him see he's more than his past, and life will go on.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THEORY TIME!!!
Reina/Nina/Miguel/ and perhaps Eddy but i am not so sure about him - Mishima Zaibatsu after Reina takes control of it, possibly in the story DLC's that are coming.
And of course when i mention Miguel this is only a theory and speculation of mine if he is DLC, if he is, i see him joining Reina's Mishima Zaibatsu after Reina gives him a good offer to get revenge on Jin for killing his sister.
Now why i said Eddy? it was because when he was announced, he has a special intro with Nina, and according to a non canon book @acequeenking gave to me, there's ship tease between them ( they pretended to be a couple to Heihachi for awhile ) so my guess is Eddy would join the Zaibatsu for Nina, and also because he would never join a company Kazuya's in charge of.
Tumblr media
Kazuya/Anna/Jun/Bruce - G Corp. in Jun's ending, there's a G Corp blanket, that Kazuya gave to Jun according to wiki. Well, one of the theories and interpetations i have is that after Nina deserted Kazuya, and although she was retired, Anna took over a branch of G-corp and went to find Kaz and help her friend in Yakushima. Where she found Jun and a knocked out Kaz. She then and the soldiers she had helped them set up a camp.
Seeing that some of his soldiers and friends were still loyal to him and thanks to Jun, Kazuya found the solution and power to stand up to himself after Reina took over the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Bruce is also there as he is one of Kazuya's best friend along with Anna.
Again, Bruce and Anna are only speculations IF they are DLC!
Perhaps Kazuya will live in the Mishima Estate in Nara ( as Harada stated that their clan originally resided there ) and open a Dojo too to train his second son and his students Jinpachi's style of Mishima Ryu, and how the Mishima clan was always meant to be.
Tumblr media
Lars/Alisa/Lee - Violet Systems, this one is actually more obvious to me because we see Lars here with Alisa and Lee in the end credits.
I see them..well, becoming more accepting of G-corp after Reina takes control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and Kazuya's redeemption/recovery thanks to Jun.
Tumblr media
Now for Jin?, I believe the poor boy would just want to live in peace lol. I see him living in Yakushima, or perhaps, if something happens to somone he deeply cares about thanks to Miguel or Reina, he goes on a Journey and becomes a shadow hero like Luke or Sasuke became in their respective franchises. Or still being that even nothing bad happens to the people he loves. To be honest, although his arc is done, I don't think Bandai will give this boy a break lol and they will continue to give him more trauma. Jin would just want peace to be honest, and nothing to do with any huge companies, considering what happened to him over the years.

BnHA 392: Ochako gets stabbed. No she's not dying.
Tumblr media
Yeah so what if she got stabbed? With stabby pants Toga around this was bound to happen.
Doesn't mean that she is gonna die!
And even if it looks serious, I don't think it will have a serious consequence or anything. She might as well get a cool scar like All Might at most.
And I don't even wanna talk about that grab scene on the next page. I think it's a mistake that will be corrected during the volume publish, remember how inking on Ochako and Toga wasn't on point either in the last chapter.
With Hori's declining health, I think it's a very likely case.
Anyways, we'll have to wait now for two weeks to see if our babygirl is all right or not.
Contrary to popular belief, I think she's fine. Great infact, because now she'll fight more seriously.
Remember how in her battle vs Bakugo during SF, when even her friends underestimated her and thought she needed help?
But she proved to everyone that she's more than capable of handling herself when the time calls for it?
Tumblr media
And this is a battle she cannot afford to lose, we have lives on the line. Not just her fellow heroes but Toga herself is also in danger and Uravity is a hero who wants to see everyone smile.
I think this is bound to come sooner or later. Like what kind of hero Uravity will be?
Like Ingenium is a hero who guides lost children to their home, Uravity will find a way to save Toga and the entire battlefield that is dealing with Sad Man's Death Parade.
Tumblr media
Now, it's more important than ever because we've seen that Pixie Bob is down for the count. She was the main person containing the clones but now that she is down and Toga has created multiple doppelgangers of our beloved heroes, everyone is at a risk of getting stabbed.
Since the last two chapters were about Toga, I think the next chapter will be about Ochako.
Personally I would love an Ochako Uraraka: Origins chapter and then a Rising Chapter following it!
Tumblr media
This will be one of the biggest moments of the series where a character gets an Origin and a rising chapter simultaneously.
A chapter that shows us Ochako's life before she joined UA.
Just like Toga, we only had a glimpse of Ochako's past. Bonus material suggests that she used to sleep to save money and bear the heat in summers because her parents could not afford an AC. But that's not all.
Horikoshi has been hinting at this dynamic for a long time. So I feel like there has been something about Ochako that has been hidden from us, as readers.
It was always hidden in plain sight, just like how those postcards were a foreshadowing for Ochako getting stabbed in the stomach.
The author said that there is a scene between TOGACHAKO that he is itching to draw.
Tumblr media
Personally I don't know what scene it is. It could be Toga stabbing Ochako in the recent chapter, or it could be something entirely different. We won't know for sure until this arc concludes.
As for this arc, I think this fated battle will last for at least 3-4 more chapters.
Everything is in complete chaos and it will take time to wrap this up. Even if a miracle were to happen, I don't see a direct solution to TOGA's Sad Man Parade unlike Dabi where Shouto just reaching on time was everything.
Not only Ochako will need to convince Toga to stop her Parade but also deal with the existing ones that are running rampant around the battlefield.
Also, can I just say how much I loved Ochako just casually flying over the entire parade?
Tumblr media
Also her jet boosters are finally coming in handy!
Also I just loved how much control she has over gravity now. She literally pulled both Toga and Tsu out like it was nothing! Plus the Twice clones surrounding her!!
Tumblr media
Toga using the blood from the battlefield totally caught me off-guard. She really is playing 5D chess now.
Guess, it goes to show you how smart she actually was up until now.
Ochako and Toga are two faces of a coin. Of course, they're both smart.
Plus I think Toga is still not using her full power, as the Curious vestige suggested. She's still hiding her true self.
Tumblr media
And maybe that's the answer to everything. Ochako will try to appeal to whatever goodness is left of her.
Ochako knows that Quirks are nature and just like Toga, she's been hiding her true feelings all along. And I think the feeling that she's been hiding is envy.
She was jealous of how 'normal' everyone else is and how they get to express their love and she doesn't. It is not a form that society will accept.
But in the world of MHA, how do you even decide what is normal and what isn't?
Her parents literally denied her humanity.
Tumblr media
I also loved what Tsuyu said here about Heroes following the rules. If killing was the only way, Ochako and the heroes were more than capable of doing that.
But it's not about killing or arresting her anymore but rather about confronting a little girl who has been rejected her entire life, even by her own parents.
It's about a young girl with a big dream who wants to see everyone smile and yes that includes Toga too.
It was never a story about killing people because violence leads to even more violence, it's about understanding and sympathy, care and compassion and this is how true heroes are born.
Tumblr media
Cheers! Sunshine!
~Thanks for reading

Y/n was the fifth and newest addition in this academy, competing to be supreme. She got sent here a month ago so, it was true that the other four girls had more advantages than her. But just because she was here later than the others doesn’t mean she is weak. Y/n is just as powerful or even more powerful than some of the girls. She already knew what she was capable of when she was 17 which was two years ago, before she even got here. Y/n just didn’t want to tell anyone because she thought she would get judged about or bullied for. She had no one to talk to about this matter and understand her struggle. So she just taught herself how to manipulate and control her own powers. Along the way she of course got more powerful and stronger but that’s how she got caught being a witch, she was too careless.
Y/n was so angry at her mother that she accidentally lit her curtains on fire. The incident shocked both of them and her mother immediately sent her away. Y/n was devastated to move away, she thought she was going to some psych wards or juvenile but she ended up here. Y/n was quite nervous when she arrived but she warmed up with all the witches and now she’s happier here than where she was 2 years ago. She found her people, where it was normal to use her magic.
It wasn’t just the four witches she warmed up too, there was Kyle too. The sweet butler that worked around in the coven. The boy who also always got bossed around, cleaning up other people’s mess, serving them and other terrible things. As much as Y/n loved Madison she was way too cruel to Kyle. So she decided to help him out a little, like playing some games with him and keeping him company. Though he also had this stuttering problem which Y/n soon found out why as he opened up with her. God did it hurt Y/n when hearing about his past, his mother, his death and new life. Everything was terrible in his life but he still had such a big dream to become an engineer.
Y/n tried making his life better by doing everything with him, being there for him. And it did work, Kyle smiled more and looked more cheerful. He just needed a person to accompany him and listen to him at all times. Y/n adored him and Kyle adored her, they are great for each other and they soon indeed became a thing.
-
Staying up late as always to study and strengthen her powers as the days were counting down to the 7 wonders test. Thankfully, she had the privilege of having her own room so she wouldn’t need to bother anyone.
Y/n had to ace this assessment in order to be supreme, so she sacrificed every hour of her time to study and get better.  Even Cordelia is counting on her to be the next supreme and Y/n certainly didn’t want to let her down.
It was about 1.36 am and there was a thunderstorm happening tonight. The wind was so strong that it sucked open her windows and the thunder roared very loud, but she always did enjoy the presence of rain. The smell of it and the comforting feeling it gives off, so she didn’t mind it at all.
But a little someone was the opposite, he was terrified of the rain. The booming of the thunder and the striking brightness of the lighting were all scary to Kyle. He could never sleep when it rains in the middle of the night. He always thinks some monster is going to come up and eat him alive so he puts a pillow over his head and huddles himself in blankets to hide whatever was coming for him. Hoping to sleep it off and forget about it, but tonight wasn’t the case. No matter how much he tossed and turned, he couldn’t fall asleep. So he had only one other solution.
-
Y/n stared and stared at the pages, trying to understand what the words meant. Her mind was so clouded with finding out the meaning she didn’t even notice that someone had entered her room. “ Y/n? ” A soft spoken Kyle called out, shaking up the distracted Y/n. “ Kyle, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be sleeping? ” Kyle made a guilty face and pointed to her window, indicating the storm brewing bigger outside. Y/n quickly understood where he was coming from and shifted herself to the side of the window so he could have space to join her, not needing to be beside his fear as well.
She patted the soft cushion and smiled at Kyle as he ran towards her. Tucking his feet into the mountain of blankets in her bed. He pulled the blanket up to his face and cuddled with it, digging his head into Y/n’s chest as he closed his eyes, whispering a thank you. “ You need the candles to be blown out? ” Kyle quickly opened his eyes and shook his head, making an angry pout. “ I know h-how important… t-this test is, y-you n-need to s-study. ” Such a sweet soul, potentially sacrificing his sleep so she could continue her revision. Y/n softly smiled and pecked his lips before going back to her spell book.
-
2.23 am, Y/n eyes were starting to droop and the words on the pages were starting to blur. She was about to fall asleep soon but had to jot down a few more notes. Gathering the last bits of her energy, she wrote down some helpful notes for her to not make the same mistakes. As tired as she was, her guard was never down and she felt a pair of eyes staring at her. Turning to her left, she caught a dazed out Kyle still awake, admiring her. “ Mr Spencer, why aren’t you asleep? It’s almost 3 am ” Y/n sternly whispered. Though getting caught, he didn’t stop looking, his eyes glistening with love as he gazed at every inch of her face. “ P-pretty ” He mumbled softly.
Y/n’s eyes widened subtly, crimson red coating her cheeks. She could never get used to compliments or the fact that she is in a relationship. Never knew she was that kind to commit to one, being top is all that got her attention, not boys.
Kyle kept on drooling all over her, studying the beauty of her face. Y/n on the other hand stared into his brown eyes as they trailed all over her face. The moment was beautiful, looking like it came out of a movie from a third person’s view. Their eyes filled with fondness and adoration for each other. God this is true love right here, just like the olden days, true old love that is rare these days. But like every romantic moment in movies, it gets interrupted.
A huge blinding lighting shot through the sky, followed by a loud booming thunder. Kyle scurried under the blankets and pressed his head against her belly. Afraid of what’s out there trying to catch him and take him away. Poor Kyle was all shaken up, Y/n could hear how fast his breathing was and see how fast his chest was rising. To be completely honest, the loud thunder also kinda scared Y/n a bit. But she has to be the bigger person in the situation now, Kyle is more in need of comfort.
“ Kyle it’s alright, it was just a little thunder. I’m here, no one is going to capture you because they’ll have to go through me to get to you and I’m very strong! ” Y/n assured him in a light-hearted tone. After hearing her promise, Kyle slowly lifted the blanket off of his head, peeking to see if there were any monsters. Y/n helped him to get out of the puddle of blankets and hugged him close. Y/n realised he was shaking and rocked him back and forth while she played with his hair.
Y/n cupped Kyle’s face and frowned when she saw his unsettled expression. She used the pads of both her thumbs and swiped it over his cheeks, giving him a kiss on the tip of his nose. Kyle still didn’t seem fine so Y/n needed an idea. Her eyes wandered around to find something to lighten up his mood.
A light bulb lit up in her head and she broke the embrace to grab something from under her bed. She had a collection of stuffed toys in a box and they were all so special to her, they were all her childhood toys and she kept them for nostalgia. They each had a meaning, a lion which represented bravery and loyalty. Y/n used to talk to the lion when she was upset, sharing all her problems with him. Then there was also a dinosaur, it’s job was to protect. When she was scared, she would cuddle up with her dino and it would wash away her fears. Lastly there was a cat, whenever Y/n was angry she would take her anger out on it. Punch it, shout at it everything, yea a little violent but it worked without hurting anyone.
Thinking she would share her little trio with Kyle, she picked out the dinosaur for him. Kyle looked at her, confused. Y/n handed him the cute dino and explained how it could help him and how he could use it. By the end of the explanation, Kyle had a sweet smile on his face, grinning cheekily at his new friend.
“ So, what are you gonna name your new buddy? ” Y/n smiled while sweeping a piece of his hair out of the way, glad that her plan worked. “ Bo-b ” Y/n chuckled at his cuteness and checked the time, ‘ oh no it’s 3.46 am '. She looked back at Kyle who was still in a daze with his new gift, while he was distracted, she fluffed up her pillows and spreaded out all her messed up blankets. After everything was perfect, she pulled Kyle into her arms and adjusted their position so they were laying down now, ready to sleep.
With a flick of her wrist, all the candles were blown out, leaving them in a room of darkness. The thunderstorm has also settled down into a drizzle, making it more relaxing than scary. “ Goodnight Kyle, also remember you’ll have to protect Bob from getting dirty as well alright? ” Y/n mumbled in a sleepy tone and felt his head nod in her neck, making her hum in response. Y/n made sure Kyle felt safe and pushed his head deeper into her neck as she cuddled him up. She kissed his mop of hair and whispered, “ I love you Kyle ” “ I lo-ove you Y/n ” Kyle replied back in a half-asleep tone. Falling asleep sweetly in each other's arms and comfort.

Who created the disassembly drones?
Tumblr media
We’re told in the first episode by Uzi that the murder drones were sent by JCJensen, and presumably made by the company as well. However, this is thrown out in the next episode when we learn through flashbacks that they started out as worker drones. Yes, they were originally manufactured by JCJensen, but what I’m interested in learning is who modified them into killing machines, when this happened on the timeline, and why it was done?
Of course I have a theory, but this one makes a lot of inferences between the shows past and present to try to piece together the middle part.
It all began with Tessa and Cyn. While some distinguish between Cyn and the absolute solver, I don’t and won’t in this post. Cyn is not the absolute solver; but I believe she has fully embraced it and the powers it entails. I don’t see her as a victim or a helpless host; rather as, at best, an accomplice partnered with the entity which is the absolute solver, or, at worst, the ultimate mastermind, with the solver being a tool at her disposal.
Tumblr media
After Tessa brought Cyn into her home, Cyn began the work of recruitment. She began spreading the absolute solver among the drones working in the Elliot household, infecting them and bringing them under her control. A YouTube video helped me understand what was happening in this episode, because initially, I was very confused 🫠 It’s a great channel and if you have questions about what is happening in this show, I highly recommend their videos.
After infecting all the drones and biding her time, Cyn made her move, using the drones under her control to massacre the gala.
Tumblr media
At first I thought the extra points of yellow light in this scene were Cyns eldritch cameras spreading out… but those are x signs. The points of light are infected worker drones under Cyns control. Here’s a shot from just a few frames forward, which confirms this.
Tumblr media
Cyn even had J under her control.
Tumblr media
So Cyn not only infected all the background drones with the absolute solver, but Tessa’s salvaged drones as well.
After the gala massacre, there’s a long blackout of information. We only have hints as to what happened next, but I think I’ve worked it out.
Tumblr media
After the massacre, JCJensen arrived at the Elliot’s mansion and immediately started running damage control, likely confiscating all their technology and taking measures to hush Tessa. We see federal penalties mentioned throughout the episode, giving the company a compelling incentive to cover up what happened, aside from potential damage to consumer perception and tanked stock prices.
Tumblr media
This is how Tessa ended up employed at JCJensen; I think she agreed to keep quiet about what happened at the gala in exchange for technician training and an inside track on unfolding events. Maybe she didn’t want to be separated from N, J and V, who at this point would have been reduced to evidence by the company. To Tessa, however, friendless and newly orphaned, they were all she had left of her old life. A job at the company which was treating them like secret bastard children would have kept her close to them, or at least given her occasional access. Or, maybe she wanted revenge on the rogue AI that killed her family, or maybe she just wanted to understand it. Lots of possible motives for this potential scenario.
I think Cyn either escaped the initial roundup, or escaped from JCJensen sometime down the line. Then she began a genocidal campaign against humanity, infecting more and more drones, and using them to kill.
This created huge problems for humanity on earth, but also the company, who would have found themselves in the hot seat, with governments and citizenry alike pointing the finger at them and their tech.
The company’s solution? Fight fire with fire. They created the first disassembly drone models, designed to exterminate Cyn and her army. And so began a war.
I don’t think the first murder drone models were based off N, J and V. I think they were an original line of units, who did their job fine for a while. But eventually, I think Cyn managed to infect them with the solver, and this made matters even worse for the humans. Eldritch-enhanced worker drones were bad enough, but drones armed to the teeth and now turned against their creators? This must have seemed like humanity’s 11th hour.
I believe it was at this point N, V and J were retrofitted into disassembly drones, as a desperate Hail Mary project, lead by none other than Tessa, their original savior. This was her final bid to turn the tide and destroy the monster she felt responsible for unleashing upon the world. Perhaps she hoped to use the absolute solver against itself, modifying its coding just enough that it would be immune to reintegration into Cyns network. Maybe she hoped her “dumpster pets” indentured gratitude to her would be enough to keep them loyal to her, the company, and humanity.
I think this desperate final play worked, and Cyn and her forces were actually beaten back as the company ran with Tessa’s idea, cloning her original three drones and their Cyn-immune software to create the army they needed to save the world.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the war raging on earth caught the attention of other colonies and exoplanets, who at some point went ahead and uploaded Cyn to study her. Cyn may have helped this process along, posing as a human and communicating virtually with the exoplanets to foster the idea and facilitate the transfer.
Once uploaded, Cyn was unable to assimilate enough drones to launch a full scale offensive on these exoplanets(notably, places Tessa and dogs weren’t), possibly due to time constraints, cybersecurity obstacles or a lack of resources. Rather than play the long game, Cyn opted for a nuclear solution.
Tumblr media
On earth, JCJensen saw what was happening in the colonies and assumed Cyn had infected all the worker drones on any exoplanet she infiltrated. They sent their disassembly drones to eliminate the threat they assumed the worker drones posed.
Tumblr media
And it’s at this point that things start to get complicated and speculative(lol, jk, this entire post is obvs totes complicated and speculative).
In episode 6, we are directly told by Tessa and J that the batch of murder drones we’ve been watching were actually sent to copper 9 by Cyn, not JCJensen…
… Unless Tessa is lying about this to manipulate them. My distrust of Tessa is well documented, though I don’t know what her ends are at this point. Clearly something complicated happened with Cyn, Tessa, N, J and V(the originals?) toward the end of the war. Maybe Cyn managed to find a way to control the murder drones by taking over their administration?
Tumblr media
She “reformatted their memories to soup”, hence Tessa being so excited that N could remember her. But why send them to copper 9? A colony she had already successfully wiped of human life?
I actually think it was a deception.
I think that after Cyn’s huge success with the exoplanets, she decided to do the same thing on earth, end the war once and for all with a final, devastating blow. There was one thing standing in her way; Tessa, the only human she cared for, was on earth. Imploding the planet core there would mean sacrificing Tessa. Unwilling to do this, Cyn tried to lure Tessa off of earth by sending her treasured original trio of drones to copper 9.
This clearly didn’t work for nearly twenty years, because that’s the span of time between the murder drones arriving in copper 9 and the events of the show. We ‘know’ this because Uzi is 18-20, and her mother was killed early enough that she has few to no memories of her(that we know). Something on earth held her up for 20 some odd years, maybe company business, but it’s honestly anyone’s guess as to what it was 🤷🏼‍♀️
Eventually, she did take the bait and follow her drones out to copper 9, and as soon as she was clear of Earth…
Tumblr media
This is why the disassembly drones weren’t aware of earths destruction, why N was so shocked to see this satellite image. Earth was still intact last they saw(which, to be fair, was 20 years ago).
Depressingly, this likely makes Tessa the last human in existence. If not the very last, she’s certainly now a member of an extremely critically endangered species.
And that’s a wrap! Now we’re caught up with the present and just waiting on more episodes. I can’t wait to see if any of my theory is correct 😁

Hello! I have a question about Marinette. It's clear to me that she struggles with control and may sometimes mistreat her partner, in my personal opinion. It appears that she lacks trust in Chat Noir, which is not only upsetting but also confusing.
Marinette seems to have a stable home life, and her school experiences, while not as dramatic as some fans portray, seem relatively normal. Her parents have a loving relationship, so it raises the question of why Marinette behaves this way. Where do her controlling tendencies stem from? It's perplexing to me that she doesn't seem to trust her own partner. It's almost as if she treats him as if he could potentially turn into a villain. Chat Noir goes to great lengths for her, yet we rarely see her reciprocate in kind. Her interactions often seem limited to positive affirmations and superficial gestures. I wonder whether this inability to comfort someone or communicate effectively is a result of her environment influencing her or if it's perhaps a consequence of her newfound powers affecting her ego.
I don't mean to criticize her character, but it seems that Marinette's acquisition of powers and constant praise, coupled with the lack of discipline or guidance from Master Fu and Su-han, has left her without a mentor or anyone to hold her accountable for her actions. Her role as the guardian and leader exacerbates this issue because she struggles with being upfront and truthful, especially with Chat Noir. The morality of the story seems quite protagonist-centered, and I can't help but wonder how things might have been different if Ladybug had a more assertive partner or a mentor to guide her in the right direction.
Marinette like my least favorite at least with Western Magical girl shows because of what she chose in the finale. I don't believe her intentions are necessarily malicious, but her actions in previous seasons have been frustrating to watch.
So, the thing about Marinette is that she sets very high expectations for herself. Just look at her arc about not being able to confess her feelings. She catastrophizes, she plans all these elaborate schemes accounting for every detail, she can't bear to let anything go wrong, because she has such high standards for herself and a fear of failure. She can't confess to Adrien because she's afraid of his rejection, and she spends the series trying to find the perfect plan to ensure that he won't reject her. Once she becomes Guardian, she has all these new responsibilities, these new burdens, and she doesn't want to fail, she doesn't want anything to go wrong. And so, she tries to control everything. Her controlling tendencies stem from her fear of failure and her high expectations of herself.
For the record, I will say that Marinette does trust Chat Noir. She trusts him with her life. But just because she trusts him doesn't mean her fears aren't there, and it doesn't stop her from acting in ways that don't quite convey that trust that she has in him. Marinette can get myopic about her problems, and she often has trouble understanding things from others' perspectives. She has the tendency to, for lack of a better term, make things about herself. Like in Illusion, for instance, when Adrien was being taken out of school by Gabriel because of Nino's plan, Marinette instantly starts talking about how she is a curse for Adrien and how she should stay away from him, instead of about Adrien. Does this mean she doesn't care about Adrien? Of course not. But she still gets so caught up in her own feelings that she fails to consider the feelings of those around her. She spends so much time trying to make sure that nothing goes wrong with her current situation that she fails to notice the bigger picture.
For example, see Hack-san. Marinette is leaving Paris, and so she focuses on the immediate problem that she is facing, that she's leaving Paris without a protector. And she finds a simple solution, give her Miraculous to Alya. Easy, problem solved, right? Except it's not, because she accounts for herself but not for her partner, who is understandably blindsided by a new substitute appearing instead of Ladybug. In the same episode, we see another example. Marinette is stressed and struggling and hurting, and she confesses to Alya that she is Ladybug in Gang of Secrets. Now Marinette has the support of her BFF and her stress is being alleviated, so everything is fine, right? Except, she doesn't consider how Chat Noir might feel about her breaking the rule they set together and that she should tell him (this is not salt on Marinette for telling Alya, she had every right to do so).
Marinette isn't the most empathetic person. She is very kind, very compassionate, very sympathetic, and she is overall a wonderful person. But she has trouble putting herself in other people's shoes and understanding their perspectives unless they tell her herself. She understands that the people around her are struggling and she feels the desire to help them, but she also doesn't quite understand their feelings themselves, and that can lead her to making her own conclusions. See Guilttrip, where Marinette (and the whole class actually) just jumps all over Rose when she learns she's not well without considering how she might feel about it. In Crocoduel, she tries to distance herself from Luka because she doesn't want to hurt him, without considering that, well, she is hurting him.
Marinette has the desire to help others and be there for others, and it is that compassion and kindness that make her so wonderful. But she can also find it difficult to understand others or put herself in their shoes. She doesn't easily understand other people's emotions, and she can't often look beyond her own perspective and her problems to see how she's affecting other people. Oftentimes, when Marinette has hurt someone, her remarks will be more self-deprecating than apologetic. Which is not to say that she isn't sorry, and I am not saying that Marinette doesn't ever consider other people's feelings, but it doesn't come easily to her, and she often requires other people to point it out to her. Alya points out to her that she is hurting Luka by avoiding him, Alya tells her to talk to Chat Noir, Chat Noir tells her to speak to Chloe about not giving her a Miraculous anymore... things like that. And naturally, not considering others' views on things also has the effect of making her feel like she knows best and dismissing others' perspectives, like in Dearest Family, when she dismissed the Kwamis' advice about Tikki's cosmic hunger, because she thinks the only way to handle things is her way.
So, what happens when you have a tendency to want to control things, a myopic outlook on your problems, and a lack of ability to consider other people's perspectives? Why, you get the Ladynoir conflict of Season 4.
Marinette in Season 4 spirals down a web of controlling information and deceiving her partner by keeping secrets and lying to him due to her new role as Guardian and also in part because of her trauma from Chat Blanc. None of this is malicious. Marinette trusts Chat Noir. When she says she'll never abandon him, she means it. When she says she wants him around, she means it. But that's not enough. Marinette wants to control all the information and stay in control so badly that she fails to see how badly it is affecting her partner. She feels like it's the only way to do things and fails to consider her partner's feelings and perspective because she thinks she knows best how to handle it. She gets defensive and irritated when he asks her to let him help. And it shows itself most clearly in episodes like Ephemeral, where in an attempt to stay in control of everything, she is ready to violate Chat Noir's trust in her and reveal his identity to Su-Han without his consent.
It simply doesn't occur to Marinette that she should do more than try to smooth things over with Chat Noir. Despite understanding that he feels left out, she smooths over the situation with assurances that she doesn't even end up keeping. Of course, Chat Noir isn't an open book, but he did make his displeasure clear, and she still didn't do anything to fix their issues. Look at Kuro Neko. Chat Noir gets upset and quits, but Marinette still doesn't introspect and think that maybe she did something wrong and hurt him. She doesn't apologize for her outburst; she doesn't try to think of what went wrong. In the end, Chat Noir apologizes to her for having emotions and she just gives him another "I still want you around," line that quickly loses meaning when Ladybug is bantering with Rena Furtive like she's her favorite in Risk. Even when Marinette says something, her actions prove otherwise.
But I will say, this is all alright. It's a realistic flaw to have, to not be able to consider other people's feelings all the time. Everyone does it to some degree. Marinette isn't doing this because of any malicious intent, she's doing this because she's stressed and tired and traumatized. Her outburst isn't good, but it is understandable. She shouldn't have yelled at Chat Noir, but she isn't a bad person. She's allowed to learn to do better and grow from this.
What does make Marinette seem bad, though, isn't even due to Marinette herself as a person. What makes Marinette hard to like, is when her flaws are met with the protagonist centered morality stick that Miraculous loves so much.
Because Marinette never has to actually confront her mistakes. She yells at Chat Noir in Kuro Neko, and the episode is full of Chat Noir telling her she did nothing wrong and ends with him apologizing to her. In the end of Strikeback, Marinette admits to her mistakes, but Chat Noir sees her distress and swoops in to absolve her of her wrongdoings, and she carries on without fixing anything or changing anything. She admits to her mistakes, but it falls flat because, well, they didn't really result in anything. She was never wrong to do any of it, really. It's not her fault that Felix stole the Miraculous. Chat Noir already accepted that he's just another one of her sidekicks now, and he previously learned the lesson that she didn't do anything wrong and that he is the one is being sensitive about it. Marinette is never truly wrong, and so she doesn't ever have to fix her mistakes or address her flaws. She doesn't have to learn to communicate better with others, she doesn't have to apologize for her mistakes, because she is never truly in the wrong and everyone will go out of their way to excuse and absolve her of everything.
And this protagonist centered morality is the reason for the Season 5 finale. Marinette lying to Adrien about his existence isn't framed as bad because she's the one doing it, and because Marinette is Good™, it's not a bad thing for her to do. She didn't learn anything from Season 4, because the writers don't think she did anything wrong. She's the best leader, she's the most amazing superhero ever, and the story bends over backwards to justify her mistakes and her flaws by having other characters simply forgive her or take on the blame themselves (and by other characters I mean Adrien). And when she does make mistakes that actually have lasting consequences, it isn't actually her fault, like when Felix stole the Miraculous from her. And this protagonist centered morality makes it so that Marinette doesn't really have to grow or change as much as she just has to allow the other characters to prop her up and relinquish their agency to allow her to shine. She never has to try to understand them, she never has to do all that weak emotional support shit, because she's the all-powerful and amazing Marinette, and Adrien is just her prize for when she wins and her emotional support partner.
You mentioned in your ask that she never offers support to Chat Noir like he does for her, and that she is never held accountable for her actions, and this is all the protagonist centered morality at work. The world revolves around Marinette, whatever she does is Good and Right regardless of what it is, even if it is something like gaslighting her boyfriend into loving his abuser. And unfortunately, that isn't something that is out of character for Marinette. She's been established to be someone who will do whatever it takes to protect people, and who's flaw is that she doesn't often consider their feelings on the matter when making choices that affect them, even when it comes from a place of love and care. And because of the protagonist centered morality, the show makes this seem like it's a good thing instead of portraying it as a flaw. That is what ruins her character for me.
I hope this answers your question. Thank you for your ask!

I've just read an article (in Gazeta Wyborcza) about a very popular series of books among young teens in my country, Poland, called "Rodzina Monet" (Family Monet). The author gained popularity while publishing on Wattpad lol. The article basically said that it's problematic because these books are read by young girls, even 10 years old, and it glorifies violence. Plus it just isn't well written - there were some fragments in the article and yeah it's not well written lmao. A woman in the comments said that her daughter is reading this book and asked if she should forbid it. Since no one answered her, I replied that I don't think forbidding the book is a good solution and suggested talking to her daughter about it, showing her the article and asking what she thinks about it. But I don't know anything more about that situation, for example how old the daughter is. I don't think I'd worry if my child were to read this book, I read trashy stuff too. But I started wondering if maybe there should be some control in such a case? The thing with the books from what I gathered (I haven't read them) is that they are about a 14yo girl, who suddenly lost her mother and grandmother, is sent away to US from Britain where she starts living with her 28yo (handsome) stepbrother and his 3 (also handsome) brothers. She lives in a beautiful villa since the stepbrother is super rich. He's also cold and distant and doesn't understand that she has issues with food (she has some kind of eating disorder). Some of the things he and his 3 brothers do can be described as domestic violence but they apologize, buy her expensive stuff and are all adult handsome men. Yeah it's a young adult fiction. The thing is that it's just not well written so none of the bad behaviours is commented upon.
--
Sounds like typical godawful id trash that people eat up. Making a rule against it will just make it more tantalizing.
It would be far more valuable to kick any worthless partners out of one's life and demonstrate not putting up with shit to a tween girl than to ban her from reading trashy books.
One could always try buying her something better, but IME, people who try that always do it wrong: they buy books that are better written, yes, but the vocabulary and sentence structure are a thousand times harder, there's zero iddy wish fulfillment, and the plot is something fucking depressing and supposedly edifying.
Readers can smell a tryhard "your taste is bad" gift a mile away.
I think it's also important when trying to find replacement trash to understand what the kink actually is. Why is it age gap? Well, have you seen 14-year-olds? They're awkward and covered in zits. Of course the protagonist is young like the readers and the hotties are older.
More importantly, why is it abusive? Absolute idiots will be like "Because society taught girls wah wah wah wah wah", but the actual reason is obvious if you've read trash romance for adults:
It's so the love interest(s) can be in the wrong.
The self inserty protagonist of this type of story has very little power. Not only is she usually younger, but she's poorer, a fish out of water in a new situation, etc. The way she gets power is by the love interest doing something absolutely horrible, realizing they have erred, and then groveling forever. Their guilt is an effective way to manipulate them. And yes, retail therapy is usually the next step from this particular trash classic all the way back to The Flame and the Flower.
You can try giving a teen girl a book about a teen girl action hero who is awesome and whose love interest likes her because of that... But if the reader doesn't feel awesome, she's still going to prefer a book about a loser with a destined, fated love or a misunderstood woobie whom other characters have to grovel to after not initially realizing she was special.
You can't fix self esteem by handing someone a book they don't identify with and telling them their id is wrong. And if self esteem does improve, that doesn't mean the lizard brain is going to switch trash fiction tastes anyway.
One can try leaving other fun books around, but that's about the most that could be helpful.

the thing is, jack literally is not a toddler. like i am all for baby jack AUs and headcanons but in canon he is not a baby in an adult body. the narrative does not treat him as a toddler. they settle this debate in jack's second (2nd) episode when jack is mimicking dean (bc he imprinted on him like a baby duck) and he goes to drink a beer and they let him because he's not actually a baby despite being new to the world. it's the same as when amara is born and grows up fast. she is not still a baby when, a very short time later, she is in her fully adult form. jack is a young adult, who yes is a bit naive and learning abt the world, but it's more on par with like angels being new to the world and learning abt humanity, (like cas.)
jack is also an incredibly powerful being! he is literally thee most powerful being on earth, more powerful than any archangel, and only second in power to chuck-amara. and chuck fears him. especially when jack goes soulless. everything that happens in Moriah is because chuck is angling for them to do away with his jack-problem. he's moving the pieces on the board, fueling tfw's (yes all of them) already uneasy feelings about soulless jack and telling them thee Only way to stop jack is to kill him. chuck also establishes that he's a writer and writers lie early on in the episode. then he tells them there's no way to save jack, only kill him. that chuck's hands are tied and restoring souls is beyond his abilities (he literally created souls !! he's GOD !!). he's literally lying to them thee whole time. and it all gets revealed when sam realizes chuck IS scared of jack and that he knows where jack and dean are and that everything is going according to plan and that he's enjoying it. and then dean does something chuck doesn't expect, he doesn't go through with what chuck wants him to do! he disrupts the narrative ! he chooses free will!!! he will not kill his kid. he won't do it. he throws the gun away because he can't do it. jack, very much like dean during the michael arc, is prepared to die if it's for the greater good.
like i said before, jack mimics dean. jack loves dean. jack learned so much from dean's example. (also, an aside but. dean and jack do so much bonding off screen. just from the references to their movie watching alone-- they've watched the lost boys 36 times--it's clear they've spent a lot of time together). anyways, jack learns a lot from dean and he and dean both feel similarly re: sacrifice. jack thinks the same about sacrificing dean during the michael arc, he tells cas it doesn't matter if they can't save dean if it means ridding the world from the danger of michael. similarly, soulless jack IS a threat to the world because he is thee most powerful being in the world after god and right now he is behaving unpredictably. they are right to be afraid of him (and yes they love him, but all of tfw currently fears him.) still, despite dean and jack sharing these similar views, neither of them could follow through with killing the other when it comes down to it.
anyway, all some people want to remember abt 14x20 / jack's soulless arc is dean pointing a gun at jack / putting him in the box but literally dean cannot and does not kill jack and actively goes against god's manipulation. additionally, jack is not a baby who just made a mistake and everyone is overreacting. of course he didn't mean to kill mary, but they are not irrational for being afraid of jack, who is an extremely powerful supernatural being who currently is behaving erratically and where loss of control results in fatal consequences for others. like they are Right to want to take precautions and find a solution to protect the world from jack who at the moment is very much like a bomb that could go off on a whim. also this IS a supernatural fantasy show, like that context matters. they are not putting their literal baby in a box for, like spilling orange juice. they are trying to deal with a supernatural threat on the "dealing with supernatural threats" show. cas even suggests putting jack in the cage / binding jack. they are all afraid of him and looking for a solution until they can figure out a way to save him. and the only reason anyone starts talking about killing jack is when chuck is the one to suggest it as Thee Only Option (because again, it's what chuck wants to happen)

Reverse Robins AU - Outline
Sorry but this is a long one and a sum of my current ideas. A lot has changed from my first post.
Batman = Battinson or Brucie (either way Bruce is a good if not mid dad because I said so and I get to decide)
Damian starts off with the League until the recently formed Justice League makes a move against them. The mission is barely successful and Damian gets hit in the crossfire. The JL is horrified that the League would have a kid there and they take him to be fixed up. DNA tests are run to figure out who this kid’s parents are and they learn he’s Bruce and Talia’s son. Bruce has to step up and be a father for this small, violent, traumatized child and does so by letting him be his sidekick. Damian decides to go by Nighthawk. Eventually Dami wants to become his own hero and he becomes JadeWing. When Batman dies he takes up the cowl as a sense of duty but is seen constantly shirking his responsibilities.
Duke (he does not have meta powers) sees that Riddler has control of the city so he decides to study up on riddles to free them. This is how he meets Bruce for the first time. Duke’s parents have recently been jokerified and Bruce feels bad because he should have defeated Joker ages ago. Bruce decides to foster Duke until he grows close to the boy and adopts him. Bruce lets him be Nighthawk which angers Dami and Dami tries to kill him. Joker kidnaps his parents and Duke dies. He comes back to life to find out he’s been replaced and Joker is still around so he becomes Blue Veil. (I need more suggestions to flesh this out more.)
Cass had recently met Dami when the JL attacked the League base. She had become very protective of the boy and she snuck on Diana’s invisible jet to make sure he was taken care of. Once she realized he was safe, she tried to leave but she had nowhere to go and ended up roaming Gotham’s streets until she was put into the foster system. She ends up running into Nighthawk and sees him perform a move only Damian knew how to do (using katannas of course) and she figures out their secret identities. Damian dies and Duke leaves so Bruce becomes more violent. Cass hates this so she steals the Nighthawk costume and just shows up to a fight that Batman’s losing. Bruce is appalled by this and tries to get rid of her but she just keeps on showing up. Eventually Cass is made Nighthawk and later adopted. Duke shows up and is upset that he was replaced but he’s not angry at Cass so he really just breaks in (I don’t know where he’s breaking into because I have yet to do my superhero team research. I am begging for an assist). They end up having a heart to heart. Bruce dies (gets lost in the time stream???) and Cass tries to convince Damian to search for him but Damian quits being a hero altogether during this time. Cass single handedly brings Bruce back and stays nighthawk until Spoiler starts showing up. Cass feels betrayed by her family since they didn’t believe her about Bruce but she’s also concerned they just didn’t understand her. She decides to seek help to be fluent in more than body language. (It might be unrealistic that she never picked up English since she was only five years old at the time she left the League but I’m struggling. Either cut me some slack or offer me a solution at this point. Also this reason for her abandoning nighthawk doesn’t seem to fit well so please help.) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, she ends up returning as Nightingale (for now because I do want to expand on this. She will end up becoming her own separate hero.)
Tim has been stalking the vigilantes for a while. He figured out their secret identities because he followed them back to the cave and hacked his way into not being picked up by scanners and not setting off the boundary alarm (RIP quadruple flip or whatever it was). A couple years later he finds out his parents run one of the largest child trafficking rings in the world. He tells Batman and Janet and Jake lose all of their work and are supposed to go to jail (they're not insane so not to Arkham) but they pay their way out of it. They trace a call Tim made to the Oracle hotline and he gets beaten near death because of it. Tim realizes Batman will never truly defeat his parents as they were already rebuilding their empire. Tim becomes Spoiler (I am in desperate need of a better name) to spoil his parents’ nefarious plans. Batman only sees Tim as the spoiled kid from next door. A rich kid with a cushy life that’s trying to play at being a hero. Batman tries to tell Tim he’s not allowed to fight. Tim says he’s going to fight anyway so Batman decides to make him Nighthawk and train him while Cass is gone. Tim’s father finds out that Tim is Nighthawk so he kills him. Or did he? Tim is not dead but was recovering far away from his father. When he comes back to Gotham he tries to kill his parents. Steph understands his anger and offers to train him to be batlad. Eventually Tim does kill his parents and he abandons batlad for his own anti-hero persona (currently unnamed).
Steph (I know that canonically she is the C-list villain Cluemasters child but that’s not going to work here partially because it’s not angsty enough) is the Joker and Harley’s child but Harley put her up for adoption. Somehow (please give me ideas for how) the Joker finds out that Steph is his kid so he, in a stroke of genius rather unlike him (possibly someone else's idea???), he hires some thugs to kidnap her and make it look like a random kidnapping gone wrong (as in fake her death). He sends her off to learn how to fight as well as Batman but also to keep Harley from knowing about her. She grew up with villains but the Joker only visited occasionally. Joker thought Batman was too concerned with the Penguin and thought that Bruce ought to be paying him more attention so he decided to test out Steph by sending her to kill Penguin. Steph succeeds but she is so disgusted by what she did that she runs away and Joker isn’t able to find her (again I could really use reasons why). Joker decides to draw her out by threatening to kill Commissioner Gordon. Joker decides to kill two birds with one stone by having Batman bring Steph to him. Steph saves Gordon’s life so Oracle and Batman decide to make her Batgirl.(I need ideas for a big reveal where Steph realizes Bruce is Batman.) After Batman dies Steph slowly distances herself from being Batgirl and focuses more on trying to meet her bio mom and getting back with the Browns (her adoptive family). Steph decided to pass the title on to Tim (as batboy or batlad) so he’d be taken more seriously by the bats. She finds out her adoptive father, Arthur Brown, is Cluemaster so she runs away and decides to become Black Bat. She uses this name until Joker is killed (by Duke or a joint effort. She finally settles on the name Orphan.
Jason discovers he’s a meta at age 10. He decides to hide this information because his dad is desperate to save Catherine from cancer but he can’t afford chemo. (I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me more about Jason’s parents.) Jason’s worried his dad would use him to aid his goon life. Catherine dies and Willis becomes a raging drunk to cope with the loss. Willis neglects his work for two-face so he’s killed. Cue tiny tire thief Jason. Batman finds out Jason is an orphan and he means to adopt him but he dies before that can happen. Jason joins We Are Nighthawk to help the city and escape Sheila. Sheila wants the Joker to leave her alone so she tells him about her meta son (I don’t know how she knows). The Joker wants to make Jason his Joker Junior. We Are Nighthawk offers both family and protection for Jason. When Bruce comes back he doesn’t want to be Batman anymore but a talk with Jason convinced him otherwise. Bruce then adopts Jason who decides he doesn’t want to be Nighthawk. He becomes Daybreak (unless someone gives me a different idea for his meta powers).
Dick’s parents’ die and he decides to go after Tony Zucco. Bruce was not there the night of their death. Instead he runs into Dick while he’s on the hunt for Zucco. Bruce decides to adopt Dick and help him move on from his revenge. (I can’t decide if I want Dick to kill Zucco anyway or not.) Dick ends up becoming Nighthawk.
Also if you can't tell I am desperate for help so please answer my many questions in the comments.

okay, so i just finished re-reading Any Way the Wind Blows and this feels so blatant as to be smacking me in the face: simon is disabled.
now, the reason why that makes itself even clearer in this book than in wayward son (where he, of course, also has the wings + tail) is because simon is once again in the world of mages - despite doing his best to leave it behind. compared to wayward son, where hes basically and literally in the wild west. where theres magical beings everywhere, where simon practically fits in because he is one.
but ill get back to that.
ive seen a lot of really interesting points about what simon's wings represent and mean, and i'm not disagreeing with those. but in a very literal sense, they are a disability.
think about it like this: the world of mages (and Normals) is not built for humanoids who have giant webbed wings and a tail. simon constantly struggles with controlling these limbs, and their size makes it ten times harder. spaces are too small, furniture and objects are broken when he spreads them, and many a shirt or jacket are ruined.
he struggles to find a good way to deal with this - spell them away? wear them out by cutting holes in things? fold them extremely painfully into his shirt? even though this last one is treated like a solution for a little while, its far from ideal. who is simon doing this for? himself, or everyone around him? yes, of course Normals cant see them. and yeah, hes expressed discomfort about baz and penny spelling them hidden. but thats not the point. even with this botch job of a way to "wear" his wings, which succeeds at hiding them from Normals, simon still states a couple times that he knows people stare at him and his seeming hunchback. i mean, thats blatant.
(he eventually, with shepard's help, realizes a good way to work around this - zippers or buckles on shirtbacks - which very much feels like an aha! disability aid moment)
im not saying disability is based in how people look at you, or it only being a societal thing. (as in, when he wasnt in the world of mages, he wasnt suddenly 'not disabled at all') disability is a huge spectrum. but those things absolutely can be a part of the disabled experience.
but all of that doesnt even get to my main point: simon has no magic anymore. and in the world of mages, thats a huge deal. magic is like living and breathing, especially for baz and penny. its not something they question or have to worry about not being able to call upon. hell, even before simon lost his magic he was disabled, just to a different extent.
before awtwb, we dont hear much about mages whose magic is weak. but they come to the forefront now - which just solidifies that solid magical ability = able bodiedness.
smith is promising a miracle cure. a cure. think of it like bullshit orgs such as aut!sm spe@ks, wanting to "cure" autism - he wants to cure people. (and hes just as full of shit) why? because weak magic is seen as a disease, a problem, even subhuman.
take daphne, baz's stepmom. her quality of life is fine, great. her weaker magic doesnt seem to put her at a disadvantage. she manages her disability well. but in comparison to the norm, to what is expected of the average mage, shes got nothing. less than nothing. she feels shame over what she cant do.
smith's case becomes even more blatant when we see, at the end of awtwb, that he wants to essentially cull weak magicians. that they're holding back society. that theyre better off as powerless as Normals - who are blatantly seen as subhuman - than as weak mages. much like how ableist rhetoric puts forward that disability is a fate worse than death.
which brings us back to simon. he insists hes a Normal, now or always has been. baz insists hes the most powerful magician to exist. both of them are wrong.
and right. and right and wrong.
simon is some third thing - not a mage, not a Normal. akin to how disability is its own minority aside from race or ethnicity he has a foot in each world, and he always has. but now he cant achieve blending into either.
this is why the increasing presence and humanization of other magical beings beside mages is so important (thank you shephard!) how mages tend to seem magical beings is very ableist. theyre subhuman, theyre not to be trusted, theyre freaks, theyre dirty, etc. except oops, how can you keep thinking that penny, when this very nice one works at a cafe and helped you translate shephard's engagement terms?
even baz and the events of wayward son play into this - yeah, some vampires are horrible people. but plenty, like baz, are just people. with a range of experiences and morals and ways of living life. (take nicodemus) (i could make a point about how simon's stalwart acceptance of baz's vampirism helps baz comes to terms with it and how this is also super disability coded, but thats another essay)
in the beginning of awtwb, he decides to go to the extreme opposite of his chosen one powered life - to live as a Normal, and the second step (after cutting himself off from baz and penny) is getting his wings removed.
except he cant do it. and even having his wings touched is horribly uncomfortable. now, this partly has to do with how much theyre sensual parts of his body - same as his tail. but its also, separately, very intimate. theyre treated very clinically, like a fascinating specimen to pore over. im not trying to give niamh shit here, just saying what i saw.
but theyre part of him. people with disabilities often deal with being stared at and poked and prodded by the medical field (if theyre not ignored or waved off. maybe both.). even every day folks feel the right to touch disabled folks, or their mobility aids.
for a lot of people, mobility aids are a part of them - its like a stranger touching your face and thinking theyre doing you a favor. when instead theyre being weird as fuck.
simon's status as previous chosen one even plays into this sort of thing - people see him more as a figurehead, for what he can and cant do (including his wings!) than a person. hes a tragedy, hes a hero. hes inspirational, hes to be pitied. sound familiar?
the end of awtwb doesnt spell out whether simon ends up deciding to keep his wings (frustratingly). but they spell out that he would absolutely would, in my opinion.
simon increasingly treats them as a natural extension of his body. think of the scene where he flies about the watford goats. how he expresses his feelings with his wings and tail. and of course, how he learns to let baz loves each and every part of him: including his dragon limbs.
baz loves him, and loves them, not in a fetishistic way, but because its simon, and he loves everything simon is. not just what he represents or can or cant do.

TMNT The Other Haft AU, Lou vs The Hidden City
Last time on TMNT,
Yoshi (2012 Splinter) convinces Saki (2012 Shredder) to not go look for Lou (Rise Splinter) after he gets kicked out of the Hamato clan.
Action Hero Lou Jitsu got dragged down to the battle Nexus by Big Mama to become the new champion.
So I am kind of stealing someone else's AU, so thanks to the wonderful @camthecatchameleon for the Battle Nexus AU.
Draxum owes a debt to Big Mama and gets tossed into the Nexus. Of Course, big Mama puts Draxum and Lou against each other. Draxum has more rights than most participants but not by much.
Tumblr media
Draxum is 'if you can beat me in a fight' Sexual. When they meet Draxum only as a few more weeks left in the Nexus before he is free, in those weeks he in Lou fall in love. It takes a while, them debating over humanity, sharing tragic backstories and Draxum giving exposition on the hidden City but yeah they are hella gay.
Draxum refuses to levea Lou behind in the hell known as the Battle Nexus. After he is released he instantly goes to the library to look for legal loopholes to make Lou a citizen. The solution: Marrgie. Now he just needs to get Lou alone for long enough for them to swear the oaths.
So he voluntary re-enters the Nexus. Big Mama is over joyed since 'The Baron' had been one of her biggest money makers and his fights with Lou had always drawn the most attention. So she markets this fight to hell and back.
Lou is concerned when he hears that he will be fighting Draxum again because yes the goat did promise to break him out but Lou didn't think he would follow through in any capacity.
During the figth Draxum tells Lou the plan and Lou agrees because he would do anything to get out of here and Draxum is pretty chill once you get past the whole 'I will murder humanity' bit. (Plus, Lou finds him very attractive).
See this is a magic marriage the it dose kinda Magically Bond them which is visible.
The crowd goes silent before some yells
"NEW POWER COUPLE"
Cheers, applause and demands for a proper wedding. Big Mama is pissed but #BaronJitsu is trending the Hidden Internet so there isn't much she can do.
*Insert Massive Celebrity Wedding*
Years go by and Draxum and Lou relise that they actually are in Love, so that's fun.
"I would like Children" Says Draxum in the middle of a movie.
Lou is supirsed but on bored so bip bap bop
TURTLES
Tumblr media
The 'series' would take place in the hidden city and their main goal is taking down Big Mama. The dads didn't want the kids to be involved but they couldn't stop them.
Tumblr media
Big Mama is killed in the climactic battle for the nexus by Lou who takes over the Battle Nexus. It's now a massive tournament and much safer. It still illegal but more moral. People win money, they can opt into death matches and they can choose their opponent.
Tumblr media
Notes:
Draxum and Lou are good dads, they are all very close with there boys and will protect them.
Big Mama is dead, got killed by Lou in the final show down.
Meat Sweats, Repo Mantis, Hypno and the rest exist but are just Big Mama's yokai goons.
During the Series the turtles befriend the extremely angry foot recruit and have a few encounters with the foot clan.
The Turtles are aware that they have human family top side and Apriel did look into the Hamatos for them but when she read that they all died, well the boys were better off dreaming.
The boys don't have the best control over their mystic abilities, but they all unlocked them.
