i’ve been meaning to request this for awhile because i love the idea, what if poly!marauders x animagus!reader and reader’s animal counter part is a raccoon so they call reader bandit as their nickname for the group. and maybe reader naturally has dark circles under their eyes and they prefer to be awake at night? maybe they steal little tokens from their partners like rings and shirts all the time too lol. idk if this interests you but if so i’d love to read it babes! -🌶️
Hi Pepper! This was my first attempt at writing animagus!reader and it felt a bit clumsy but I hope you like it! Thanks for requesting my love <3
poly!marauders x animagus!reader ♡ 742 words
“Where are they?” Sirius asks, stalking into the common room.
Remus doesn’t look up from his book, not needing to wonder who Sirius is asking about. “They crashed right after class.” He glances out the window. “But it’s almost dark, they should be up soon. Missing something?”
“My rings.” Sirius holds up ten bare fingers. “Took them off to shower after class, and now they’re gone.”
“Ew,” James says, coming in with two cups of tea. He passes one to Remus, handle first. “It’s like you’re naked.”
Sirius harrumphs. “You wish, Prongs.”
“Have you tried checking their stash?” Remus asks, flipping his page.
Both James and Sirius look at him quizzically. “You know where it is?”
Remus sighs. His bones creak and pop as he stands. “Come on,” he says. “I’ll show you.”
Your boyfriends mostly stay out of their dorm during the day because it’s so quiet and dreary. You’ve got all the curtains drawn shut, not even the tiniest ray of sunlight allowed to permeate your den, and you’ve burrowed underneath the covers of your bed for good measure. Remus leads the boys to the top corner of your bed, pointing to what appears to be a pile of shirts you’ve stowed behind the bedpost.
James crouches bemusedly, but at Remus’ nod, he pulls the top shirt aside. Sirius sees the glint of metal and drops to his haunches beside James, looking at the treasures you’ve nestled within the pile of shirts. He curses quietly, gathering the rings he’d been wearing that morning along with some he hadn’t seen for months. They clink together in his palm, and not a second later, he and James look up at the sound of rustling sheets.
Your face emerges from beneath the covers, and Sirius thinks amusedly that it’s almost like you’re peering out from the mouth of a very plush cave. “What’re you doing?” you ask, words slurred together with sleep. Less so when your eyes narrow on the rings in Sirius’ hand. “Those are mine.”
Sirius can’t help it; he laughs, and you glare at him (you’re really not as intimidating as you’d like to think, even with the darkness that rings your eyes and makes you look like a cartoon villain). “Oh, are they?” he asks you. “I seem to recall purchasing them some time ago.”
“Since when did you purchase them?” James asks, rising from his crouch to sit next to you on the bed. He pets your hair, and you relax as if you might go back to sleep, though you’re still tracking Sirius’ hand with watchful eyes. “You told me you stole them from your mum.”
“Well,” Sirius huffs. “Finders keepers.”
“Exactly,” you say grouchily. “So put them back.”
“Sorry, Bandit.” Sirius drops a conciliatory kiss on your temple as he slides a few of the rings on and stows the others in his pocket. “I found ‘em this time. Anyway, at least when I steal things, I actually use them. Keeping them stashed under your bed is criminal.”
You grumble, but you can’t rally much resentment with James’ fingernails scratching at your scalp so pleasantly.
“I think they do it to feel close to us,” Remus muses, giving you an appraising look. You won’t meet his eyes. “I mean, they’ve got your rings under there, Pads, and one of Prongs’ old necklaces, and some of my sweaters.” James coos as you sink further back into your burrow, and Remus smiles. “Did I get that right, sweetheart?”
Sirius knows that tone. Remus is laying it on thick and extra sweet, trying to get you to squirm. And it’s working; you won’t look up from where you’re toying with the hem of the sheets, but your face takes on a pinkish hue. You start tearing the edge of your sheet into little strips between your fingers.
“Oi.” James takes your hand prisoner in his. “Don’t start on that, we’ve already had to replace all the curtains.”
“Is that true, baby?” Sirius wheedles, giving you his most saccharine smile. “Do you take our things because you love us?”
You huff, your embarrassment revealed by the way you begin playing with James’ fingers. “Obviously I love you. You know that already. And you have nice things, so think whatever you want.”
Remus chuckles. “Alright, we will.”
“I can’t believe it.” Sirius looks down at you, raising an eyebrow when you glare. “Our Bandit’s a thief with a heart of gold.”

A/N: I wanted a cute bunny animagus!reader so here you go... here you go children hope you enjoy your dinner.
"Well, aren't you just the cutest little bunny?" Mattheo teased, his hand raking through your soft fur. His other hand reached up and playfully tugged at one of your floppy ears. "Look at that little tail."
He cooed, his index finger rubbing under your chin. He yelped as you bit his finger, and he hissed, retracting his hand instantly. "Hey, that is no way to treat your boyfriend!"
He frowned as he watched you jump from his lap onto the hardwood floor of his dorm room. He heard the sound of your hind legs hitting the floor, and he gasped. "Don't you dare thump at me, princess!" he warned, and his eyes narrowed as he watched you thump at him again. Though, how could he be mad at you when you looked so adorable?
You thumped again, and he rolled his eyes, chuckling. "You're a brat," he stated, leaning back in his chair.
You thumped at him one last time and then turned around and hopped away, your cute little button tail twitching.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going, princess?" He sighed, getting up to follow you.  He was seriously considering getting you a leash and collar next Hogsmeade visit.

completely fine if not!! just wanted to ask if in the end you were going to write the Mattheo x animagus!reader thingy i sent in some time back, but absolutely just out of curiosity!! i hope i don't come across as pressuring or similar, because i'm also very excited for your other projects and i can't wait to read them!!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Omggggg I’m trash I’m trash I’m trash! I swear I did have this done. It’s right here. I’m so sorry I had this in my Google docs and lately I’ve been working straight from my inbox so I forgot I even completed it. Please don’t hate me I’m so sorry love :((
One of your favorite things about being in your cat form was basking in the sun. It really helped whenever you were stressed, or anxious, or tired, or whenever you really just needed to get away from other people. Today's basking came from just needing to clear your head.
You stretched your little black paws out, letting out a soft meow like yawn before turning on your side right in a sun spot. You were nearly drifted off into a light sleep when you hear someone slump against the other side of the tree.
Curiosity getting the best of you, you slowly stalked around the trunk to see none other than Mattheo Riddle. He didn’t notice you at first, his head sitting in his hands and breathing deeply.
You nuzzled your head against his thigh, his head snapping up at the motion. “Well hello there, beautiful,” he get your head an affection pet, looking around the courtyard for another person, “Are you out here by yourself? Where is your owner?”
You nudged his hand with the top of your head. He laughed lightly, “Okay, okay, I get the picture.” He started to lightly scratch the space between your ears, earning an affection purr from you.
You stayed cuddling with Mattheo like that for a good hour before he had to go. He said his apologies to you, saying he hoped he ran in to you again soon. You rubbed yourself against his legs before he left, then you went and sat in the sun again.
Later that day at lunch, you were talking with Susan Bones when Mattheo came and sat down next to you, a rather large smile on his face. You rested your head in your hand as you turned to look at him, an inquisitive look on your face.
Mattheo caught you staring, “What? Something on my face, Princess?” You laughed, dipping your finger in the pudding bowl next to you before tapping his nose, “You’ve got some pudding right about…there.”
Mattheo’s mouth dropped open in shock, “Oh you’re gonna pay for that later, Y/l/n. You’re lucky I’m in a good mood.” This sentence caught your attention, “Oh? And what has put Mattheo in a good mood today?”
His smile was smug, “I made a new friend. Well, she’s a cat. But she’s beautiful and cuddly and…you know what I should just show you. She seems to hang out in the courtyard.”
Mattheo grabbed your hand, dragging you out of the Great Hall. You gave Susan an apologetic look, but see only seemed to be smirking. When you reached the courtyard, Mattheo was disappointed to see the cat was not there. You tried to give him a sympathetic look, without giving away that you knew why the cat was no longer there.
The next morning Mattheo found you again, in cat form. Giving you cuddles and ear stretches and belly rubs. It was the most physical affection Mattheo had shown you, even if he didn’t really know it was you. But you couldn’t give it up, not with the crush you’ve had on him for the last two years.
At lunch the same day Mattheo tried to show you the car, again. But again, it wasn’t there. For obvious reason. It went on like this about every other day for two weeks. Mattheo would find cat you in the morning, he started talking to you, telling you why he was upset, or about his day, his worries.
You started to feel a little bad every time he tried to show you the cat and it not being there. But nothing could prepare you for what Mattheo was essentially confessing one morning.
You were laying in his lap, stretched out while he made gentle circles on your belly. “Have you ever had feelings for someone that you weren’t sure if they liked you back?” You looked up at him from his lap, your little black ears perking up at his question.
He huffed to himself, “What am I saying, you’re a cat. You just look for rubs and cuddles. Ugh, gorgeous I really like this one girl. But we’re such good friends I don’t know if I should tell her. I keep trying to show her you. I really want to have something just between us, think maybe it’ll bring us closer,” Mattheo picked you up, holding you so your body stretched down but your little cat nose and his were nearly touching, his tone turning to baby voice, “but you always seem to be gone when I bring her, don’t you beautiful?”
He sighed, setting you down. You felt so guilty. You had to tell him the truth, you started running towards a set of trees on the other side of the courtyard. Your mad dash away startled Mattheo, him getting up and trying to chase after you.
Once behind the pair of trees, you transformed back to your regular self. Mattheo peaked around the trees, jumping back slightly when he saw you, his face quickly turning in to a smile, “Y/n/n, did you see her? The cat. She came right this way.”
You looked at him with an expression he couldn’t quite read. “Teo…I, I am the cat.” Mattheo let out a chuckle, “What do you mean, love?”
You took a deep breath, looking down at the ground, “I, erm, I’m an animagus. A black cat more specifically. It’s why…why, erm, you could never show me her. Well, I was her.”
There was silence. You waited a beat, expecting him to be upset for keeping a secret or get upset for allowing him to be so vulnerable and essentially lying to him for the last three weeks.
What you didn’t expect was his arms to wrap around you, for him to pull you close and squeeze you tight before pulling back, “That is so bad ass.”
Your face broke out into a smile, “Really? You’re not, like, made or anything? I know I should’ve told you sooner but I just…liked being close to you. Even if it had to be that way.”
You met his eyes shyly, only to be met by his shining, “Y/n/n, this is seriously so cool. Merlin, I thought I loved you before but this is so amazing. You’re so amazing, beautiful, gorgeous. Human form and cat.”
Mattheo’s eyes widen at the realization of his confession. “I, erm, I’m sorry I-”
“I love you too, Teo,” you cut him off. He flashed you a dimpled smile, “Yeah?” You nodded your head, lifting up on your tip toes to press a light kiss to his cheek, which instantly flamed.
He looked at you with shy eyes, scratching the back of his neck nervously, “Now that you’re secrets out, don’t think we could maybe…erm, use your animagus to prank the other boys one day?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, nodding, “Under one condition.”
Mattheo placed his hands on your waist, “What’s that, love?”
You couldn’t resist the urge to be cheesy in the moment, “You call me officially yours, both human and cat form.” Mattheo’s smile widen impossibly larger. “That I can do, Princess,” he leaned in, stealing another sweet kiss from your lips.

Late Night Zoomies
Summary: You get the zoomies while Severus is grading. Word Count: 500 Tags: Fluff, Drabble, Animagus!Reader

Tumblr media
The quill in Severus’s hand had been scratching away at potion papers now for the past couple of hours, a recent delay in his schedule costing him what could’ve been a relaxing evening. His gaze was fixed on a line when he heard the sounds of something scraping stone and a blur of orange run by his peripheral. The writing tool ceased, his eyes flicking up to the couch where he swore he saw the shape disappear behind. No sounds, no movement. He returned his attention down to the paper.
The shape entered his sights once again, retreating back to the bedroom. He turned his gaze up again, this time looking at the clock on the wall. Ah. 1AM. He cast a quick protective spell on his legs before turning his eyes towards the bedroom.
You came sprinting out of his room again in your animagus form, an orange cat. This time you had opted to use the coffee table as a platform to leap onto the couch, your claws gripping into the upholstery as if prey as your gaze darted around the ceiling like you were seeing ghosts. He should’ve known the second he heard the scratching of your claws against the stone. You were having what you had told him were called “zoomies.” They usually struck around or past midnight. Even in sleep you’d awake restless and go to the living room to shift into your animagus form to burn off energy before returning to the potion master’s side in bed. One too many drive-by swipes at his legs were enough to make the professor cast a spell on himself when they occurred.
“Are you having fun tearing up my couch?” he drawled teasingly.
You snapped your blown out eyes to him, raising from your pounced position so that you were crab-walking along the top of the couch, your back arched like a croissant, ears splayed back and tail poofed up and flailing around wildly as you angled your head downwards while your pupils made direct eye contact with him; like he was a mere mortal who dared to challenge you.
While you were very smart as a human, he suspected you lacked a few brain cells when in such a form. Out of nowhere, as if someone snuck up behind you and scared you, you jumped a foot or so in the air, limbs flailing about as you fell down the front of the couch onto cushions, the stimulation riling you up more and prompting you to attack the corner of the rug and batter it with your hind legs.
After a good five minutes of chewing on it, you suddenly stopped and shifted back into your human form, cheeks blushed with embarrassment as you got up from the floor and made your way back to the bedroom.
“Shut up,” you huffed, having caught the amused expression on his face. The potion master simply chuckled to himself under his breath and returned to the papers at hand.

Nature Or Nurture? Pt.1
Tw: Discussion of Dead Relatives. A *almost* smut scene.
Tumblr media
Out of my way." you said as you brushed past a Gryfindor couple. They made offended noises as you kept walking.
"Oi mate, no need to be rude." one of them called. You rolled your eyes.
You were feared to say the least, amongst other houses and slightly within your own. 'Don't get in his way.' 'He is crazy' and other flattering things were constantly said about you.
You were the "Ideal Slytherin" the type that fulfilled the stereotype and retained said stereotype. Cold-Hearted. You didn't care about anyone and no one was worth your time but that didn't stop several people from being drawn in by you, you were strong and they wanted to stand next to you, not in front of you.
A natural-born leader. You were fine with it of course until they disturbed you. Like that annoying Malfoy boy did with his annoying 'Potter' this and 'Potter' that.
A loud smack caught your attention and made you wince in pain at whatever hit your face. You scowled.
"What's your damn problem?" you snapped. You opened your eyes to see a frantic but familiar Hufflepuff.
"I am so so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." You scoffed.
"Obviously." you said, looking at the boy who was now picking up his books. You put your shoe on one of his papers.
"Excuse me, can you hand me that?" he asked. You reached down and picked it up.
"Cedric Diggory?" you read, he looked up with an open hand, waiting for you to hand him the paper. You merely looked him up and down before walking off with the paper.
"Hey! that's my report."
You grinned, "Alatre Ascendare!" you shouted back at the boy, wand in hand. It made all his papers spray out of his books and into the air.
With that, he'd become... intrigued by you.
Several other people came up to him, picking up papers.
"Who's he?" He asked one of the Ravenclaw girls.
"Everyone calls him by his last name. Professor McGonagall forgot to call his first name when he was sorted"
"What is his last name?" Cedric asked, standing up.
"Shouldn't you know? He's in your year."
Cedric was slightly embarrassed. He always tried to know everyone in his year, even if it was only their house and name.
"Sorry, I've forgotten it," he said laughing slightly.
"He's Booker." The girl said walking away from him.
He smiled while scooping up the rest of his papers and began walking in the direction he thought he saw you going. He was looking for you when he was caught off guard by movement in the window sill high above the ground. He looked up and he saw you, simply reading a book like it was the most casual place to read the latest paper.
"Hey!" he called, catching your attention.
You looked down at him and rolled your eyes, "Hello Cedi-Didi." Cedric cringed at the nickname.
"How did you get up there?" he asked.
You grinned. "Wouldn't you like to know, Huff Puff?"
He was getting fed up a lil bit at your childish way of teasing him. "I want to talk to you, can you come down?"
You rolled your eyes, "Incarcerous." you said with a flip of your wand, making a long rope come out the end. "Are you climbing up?" you asked.
He got to the top and sat beside you, letting his legs dangle off the ledge. "So.. You're a fifth year? How come I didn't know your name?"
You glared at him, "That's the big question you had to hunt me down and ask me?"
Cedric had no idea why you were so pissed, "Are you this mad all the time?"
"Only when someone disturbs my read and also the remaining three hundred and sixty-five days. Twenty-four seven. " You said with a mean grin.
"Why though, isn't it much easier to be happy?" he asked. Fair question.
"Oh I am exceptionally happy"
You were just rude.
He smiled though, " I think you and I are going to be really good friends."
He never left you alone. Every time you were heading to class it was "Hey, can we eat together outside today?" or "Let's play some Wizard's chess." or "Can we study together.”
Your housemates had begun to pick on you, not to your face though. They called him your lost and sometimes kicked puppy, probably from how sad he looked when you turned him down.
They started to ask you why you didn't like him at all and you had a simple response; He is trying too hard. You were growing used to it but it was very annoying on your off days. Today was an off day.
"Hey! I was wonde-"
You stopped and turned around to look him in the eyes. He felt a chill. They were colder than the dead of winter. He just closed his mouth and sighed. Your heart felt a twang of guilt. What an off day.
"What were you wondering, Cedric?" you asked, trying to sound soft. He turned and looked at you with a smile.
"I was wondering if you'd want to sit on the window sill together again?"
You shook your head yes. He grabbed your sleeve and dragged you to the window sill. You looked up to it.
"So do you do the rope spell to get up?" he asked. You laughed at him.
"No, I took a few classes with Professor McGonagall. Watch this," you said.
You took a deep breath in and Cedric stared as you changed into a bird. You had taken her Animagus class! You had gotten onto the window sill. It took you a little longer to change back into yourself, a few feathers sticking to the side of your face and refusing to go back in properly. You brushed your hair of them and looked down at him.
"Impressed?" you asked.
"Holy- Dude, you just turned into a bird and just flew on your merry way? How long did it take you to do that?" he said.
"I started in her class when I was fourteen and I've practiced every day at this window sill. And it's not any bird, it's a Merlin," you said, letting down the rope and pulling him up this time. He sat facing you this time. It was just before dinner and the sun had started to dip under the mountains. He looked out the window.
"You picked a great place for your hangout."
"Thanks."
He looked at you and how the golden light shone on your features. You looked at him and thought the same but you looked down.
No. Not again. Not your heart getting ahead of you.
You were walking into the great hall for the Opening and Sorting Ceremony. You were excited to see who would join your house and finally eat the delicious food. You sat there welcoming new Slytherins and even clapping for the house of your best friend when they received a new member, which got you a few weird looks from your housemates but they knew not to mess with you and even then most of them knew about your friendship with Cedric.
After the Sorting, you wanted to eat but no food appeared because of the announcement Dumbledore was going to make. You stared down but your attention was brought back when a kid tapped you on the shoulder ad pointed at something you only heard stories about: The Goblet of Fire. The Goblet meant one thing was going to happen, the Tri-Wizard Tournament. You looked at Cedric to joke about it but you noticed a flame-like the one burning from the Goblet in his eyes.
"Oh god.. No." you barely whispered. Cedric was just old enough, seventeen, to compete and you knew he would.
You just knew. You knew what you had to do. Put your name in and pray it was you, not him. He looked at you and saw your expression and gave you a reassuring smile.
After the entire Feast and Ceremonies, you tracked him down and asked to talk.
"Hey! How was your summer?"
"Great, went camping. Do not put your name in that goblet."
"Woah, topic changed rather quickly, didn't it?" He said, pearly whites lashing with a slight laugh.
You sighed, "Do not put your name in the goblet."
Cedric noticed your genuine concern about him and he softened his charismatic eye-blinding smile into a comforting smirk, "I will be alright. I am strong." he said.
You just shook your head, "If you put your name in, I will put mine in too."
His mood changed, "You shouldn't."
"Why? Think I can't do it?"
"No! No I don't!" he snapped. You were shocked and you felt like someone had slapped you even though his hands were still in his pockets. You felt tears prick at your eyes and thus you turned and walked away, leaving the Hufflepuff regretting his words.
You didn't know what was wrong with you, you don't cry over stuff like this but he just didn't understand.
You were unpacking your stuff and everyone in the commons could feel the tense aura radiating off you with the energy of ten suns. You slammed your sock drawer shut and yelled.
"Bloody Hell! I can do what I want He can just- Ugh!" You slumped down beside your bed. Your friend, Daniel, raised from his bed and shook his head at you.
"Sad, innit? Simple, to fix it. Become his dream guy."
You flung your head up at him, "I do not like Cedric Diggory like that."
Your other friend, Rich, who was reading a comic book, spoke up "No, you don't at all. Except for the fact for most of last year and even over the summer you were like all 'Will Cedric like this?' 'Do you think Cedric is busy? Is that why he didn't write back?' and my personal favorite, 'I should write to Cedric but he hasn't answered my last letter, should I?' like no, you don't have the hugest crush. Totally not."
You threw a pillow at him, "Watch your mouth." You thought for a minute though. They did have a point.
You felt your face turn red and you heard Daniel chuckle at your reaction. "You like him."
"Yes," you started, "What is his dream guy anyway? What if he isn't even... "
"He literally wears rainbow socks." Rich, who recovered from the pillow said, going back to his reading.
"Maybe he just likes colors," you said. "I like colors."
"We are not going to go over all the less than hetero tendencies he has."
They did have a point; He was either too comfortable, to the point it was almost disturbing, with himself or a little fruity.
"So what is his dream... Lover?" you decided to word it.
Rich and Daniel looked at each other and got up. They walked to you and grabbed you by either arm.
"We got a lot of work to do."
"Wha?-Wait- Whoa! What do you mean?"
"Cut your hair, fix your dark circles and make it look like you've seen the outside world at least once. Seriously, dude, you look like you live by a lamp. NAd we got to teach you how to tie a tie properly." Rich rattled off. This... This was going to be either a disaster or the best thing you ever did in your life.
"Why so blue, mate?" Cedric's friend, Melissa asked. He was moping by the common room bookshelf and overall looking like someone popped his balloon and drank all the milk for his cereal.
"Oh.. Sorry. I just... I feel bad.”
"About what?" she asked, flipping through a witch fashion magazine.
"Well... I yelled at my crus- my friend." he corrected himself. Melissa looked up from her magazine and nudged the guy sitting beside her who was making his teacup float, Carter.
"Crush?" he asked, teacup slightly spinning.
Cedric knew he was busted. "Well... Yes. I... I have a crush on someone."
"And you yelled at them?"
"On accident. I didn't mean to raise my voice at him."
"Who is it?"
Cedric caved and told them the whole story.
"How are you not dead? If that'd been anybody else, they'll have to be hauled to the infirmary." Melissa said.
"He actually is really nice. He really likes birds. He feeds them every morning." Cedric said, smiling at the thought of you and him feeding the birds. He got to hold one as it ate some of the seeds you offered the birds. Little swallows and a few sparrows.
"Yeah, but he once punched a guy in the face and broke his nose so bad the bloke had to have surgery."
Cedric rolled his eyes, "Moving on. How do I make it up and well, tell him?"
"First off," Melissa stated, "We need to fix all that." she said.
"You literally gestured to all of me." Cedric said, frowning.
"Yeah... We got some work. Ok, what is his type?"
"I don't know."
"Useless Cedric, completely useless." Melissa said, grabbing his shoulder and shaking him till he laughed at her silly way o letting him know he is no help.
"Well, obviously, he is a Slytherin so he likes dark, brooding, and... I don't know, snake-y?"
Melissa groaned at this, "That is so biased it is causing my physical pain."
Cedric just shook his head at his friend's antics and looked out the window to see the stars. He thought about you.
He felt so sure about everything in his life but you came and now, he wasn't sure if you loved him, hated him, or were indifferent. A wild card in his moderately even and sorted deck.
"Cedric, you really like him, don't you?" Carter asked.
"Yeah."
"Why?"
That was a fair but deep question, "He listens to me. All of me. The part of me that are not that good, the parts that fall short, and the parts that get over emotional. He keeps me in sync and makes sure that I am okay. I know it seems like he doesn't care but deep down he cares a little too much. He is such a good person and you can see it if you just really look for it."
The duo were silent. Cedric never got deep but that was the depth of the Atlantic compared to his usual banter and jokes. Cedric just stood up and walked to the door.
"I think I will go for a short walk.”
"But Fil-"
"It'll be a short one."
Cedric walked out from behind the painting of the pear and took a left. He shoved his hands into his pockets and thought about you and he smiled to himself. Before he knew it, he had reached the window sill you loved. He just stared up into the light that was pouring into the stone corridors from similar high windows. He noticed a bird on the window sill and he whistled at it and he heard the tune played back in almost perfect harmony. He saw you slowly shift into you, you had gotten better at it over break, you no longer had to manually shove feathers into your head. A rope fell and he began to climb. Once he got to the top he noticed something different about you. You looked cleaner, not that you were dirty. More put together would be a better term. He stared at you and how the moon and stars lit up your features. You were made for moonlight.
He was made for sunlight, you thought. Bright richly colored hair, warm smile, and features. He was the sun and everyone knew it. People revolved around him in a happy social solar system and you were happy to join their orbit after being pulled in by his gravity. He stared into your eyes, melting down your serious demeanor, and you stared back before you or he knew, you both were leaning in close and gently pressed your lips together. He barely opened his eyes to see you up close. He gently ran his hand up to the nape of our neck. The kiss and following ones lasted for a while and then it hit you both what had just happened.
"Uh... I.. Did you, ya know, enjoy that?" he asked shyly. You smiled.
"Yea... Did you?" you asked, an equal level of awkwardness.
You reached for his hand and he gently slid his into yours. He leaned in for another kiss but you brought up your finger to block him.
"We need to talk about the Goblet ordeal."
He pulled away and shook his head. "I am really sorry about what I said. You could do it, I am just scared for you to get hurt."
"Then you understand why I don't want you to put your name in."
Cedric smiled and squeezed your hand, "I know I know but baby... I want to try. Dumbledore said it'd be safer than the earlier ones. Please.”
The sweet name made your heart melt. You thought about it. What were his chances of being chosen out of all the people who put their names in? Pretty low statistically. That eased your consciousness.
You smiled at Cedric and he smiled back. He went in for a hug and you hugged back. He gently pulled you to his chest.
"I don't sleep very well," he admitted.
You were surprised to hear his heartbeat thumping like a bass, it was oddly soothing. "Go to sleep, I won't let you fall." he said.
And he didn't.
It was a beautiful day compared to most when the other school arrived. You were chosen by your Prefect to help the ladies from Beauxbatons carry in their items. You had no complaints except that one Durmstrang who accidentally bumped into and nearly knocked you silly. He apologized as you started to cast a spell to make all the suitcases float.
"Wingardium Leviosa." you said and you began to visualize rooms that had been set aside for the students of Beauxbatons. You were done by the time Durmstrang was done with their introduction choreography. You walked in and took your seat.
Dumbledore rattled on about the number of tasks, the rules, and how happy they were to have the two schools arrived for such a big occasion. You weren't listening, you were thinking about how Cedric put in name in the cup the other day and you smiled and acted like your heart wasn't hurting. You clapped after he finished his spill and watched the tables grow to allow room for the two schools to sit and eat. You got up and offered your seat to a Beauxbatons girl whose friend had sat down in the empty seat beside you. You walked to the Hufflepuff table and found Cedric, who smiled brightly at you as he told you to sit down. A few of the Hufflepuffs were off-put by this but they came around after you started talking and not attacking them like they thought you would.
You looked at Cedric, "Do you think you will get chosen?" you asked honestly.
"Well, I think I've got a chance just as good as anybody."
Secretly he held your hand under the table where no one could see. He would rather grab your hand and shout to the world how he felt about you but you had said you wanted to wait a little while to announce your relationship.
"So, Booker, What is your favorite spell?" one of Cedric's friends asked, sensing your unease.
"Oh, I'd say it would be one of the first ones I learned. It's called Ferula, it heals things and wraps bandages around the target. I got hurt a lot and my Mom would use it instead of buying band-aids."
"Your mother is a witch? I thought it was your father."
"Well, My Dad is a half-blood and my Mom is a pureblood. He never really got to learn magic because his non-magical mother was scared for him."
They looked at each other and shook their heads in understanding, "Well, does he know magic now?"
"He knows a little bit. He knows about five spells well enough to cast them."
The topic had slowly changed as the feast progressed to favorite candy, wands, and so on. It was nice. You liked sitting there. They were funny and they didn't seem to have it in them to be critical or mean.
Today was the day. The Goblet would choose the champions. You sat there about to faint as everyone gathered into the Great Hall, waiting with a little more cheer than you had.
You saw Dumbledore walk up to the Goblet and gently raised his hand. Out flew a strip of parchment and he flipped it over to see a name. You held your breath.
"Viktor Krum." You exhaled so quickly it made your nose hurt. You joined in on the clapping for the Durmstrang man who walked to shake Dumbledore's hand and then on to a room.
Dumbledore raised his hand once again, you felt your palms sweat as he tuned to read the name.
"Fleur Delacour." You clapped for the Veela as she followed Krum's path: handshakes and to the room.
One last name. One last school. You were going to faint. He raised his hand and he looked at the name. You watched him as if he was in slow motion.
"Cedric Diggory" You burst into tears. Oh god no... He stood up and walked to shake Dumbledore's hand.
He nearly made it to the door when the Goblet lit again and another name flew out. everyone was confused, especially Dumbledore after he read the name. He barely whispered it but you could tell it was not good.
"Harry Potter," he said, voice full of unease and a mild tone of rage. "Harry Potter!"
After the whole fiasco, you found Cedric, he was leaving the room and he had a smile on his face but there was a thread of worry behind it.
You walked up to him and he grinned.
"Can you believe it?"
"Cedric... You can't."
He looked confused, "Why can't I?"
"What if..." you started but were interrupted by Professor McGonagall.
"Mr. Booker, We need you. We have a favor to ask." She said with a gesture to follow her. You looked at Cedric and tried to smile, he was happy and well, he was smart enough to not die.
You sat in McGonagall's office and waited. She came backing with Dumbledore, Lady Maxime, The head of Beauxbatons, and Professor Karkaroff, Head of Durmstrang.
"So, Professor McGonagall tells me you are one of her best Animagious students and you have mastered your form. Can you please show us?" Dumbledore asked.
You looked at McGonagall who smiled and shook her head. You stood up and you breathed in and as you breathed out, you shifted into a Merlin. After the shift was done, you flew up to the iron chandelier and sat up there.
"This Wonderful!" Professor Karakoff said, "He can observe Tournament." now you knew what they wanted to ask. You gently flew back to the ground and changed back into a human.
"Mr. Booker, do you think you would consider? We considered Broomsticks but.. they upset one of the tasks." You looked at the four professors.
'Help where you can.' You heard
Cedric's voice in the back of your head.
"Of course. It's an honor," you said.
You sat up on the window sill, watching the stars, waiting for Cedric. You heard his footsteps and you changed. You smiled down at him as you sent down a rope, he climbed up and sat right next to you. He opened a bag and handed you a small box.
"I am sorry I didn't write. I never got them because I wasn't home for most of the summer." That explained it.
"So to make up for it, I got you something.”
"You didn't have to do that, It couldn't be helped." you looked at the box that was wrapped in brown paper and tied with a gold rope.
"C'mon, open it!" he said. You undid the rope and tore the paper. You opened the small box and saw a small gold chain bracelet. Two charms dangling from it caught your eye. One was a gold miniature copy of your wand: Ten-inch, Willow and it had a handle that was carved to look like feathers. The other was a flowering Rosemary.
"Well, the wand is self-explanatory. What about the Rosemary?"
Cedric blushed a little bit, "Well, we actually took Herbology together in our first year. I never said hi though. You seemed scary and despondent."
You chuckled, "I guess I was."
You put on the bracelet and turned to your bag, you had gotten him a little something. You handed him a box that was decorated in silver and tied with a black ribbon. He smiled as he opened it like a child on Christmas. It was a mirror.
He looked at you and you smiled.
"Um, I think it's pretty."
"It's not just a Mirror. It's a memory Mirror. If the mirror can reflect something, it will be stored in the mirror. You then can put it in the moonlight and it will these memories like a movie."
He looked more intrigued now. He looked at the mirror and then slid it into the moonlight. Slowly a replica of his face appeared above the mirror. "How did you get this?"
"Oh... It was a very old gift. I used to make copies of myself.”
"Then you should keep it."
"No... I don't like it anymore," you said, sadness seeping into your voice.
He looked at you, concern on his face, "Why?"
"It was a gift from my Mother. I miss her and I used to spend hours staring at her image from the mirror but all I accomplished was more grief every time the moonlight went away." You looked out the window.
"She loved us. Me and my sisters. She'd point us out to her friends and talk about us. 'Grace, oh well, she is doing fabulous! She recently got married.' 'Tiffany? She started working at the Ministry' and 'Him? He is going to Hogwarts next year. I am so excited! My wand left me and chose him, Ha! Can you believe that!' She was so proud of us all."
Cedric wrapped his arms around you. "What happened to her?"
"She got very sick. Her wand knew, that's why it chose me. She got to the point where she couldn't walk. A few days after that, I went to wake her up and she barely opened her eyes and asked me to get everyone. She said goodbye."
Cedric felt your tears dampen his t-shirt as he held you. "I am sure she is still proud of you. You're talented, beautiful and no matter what you saw, you've got a good heart."
"I miss her so much."
"Tell me about her."
You smiled, "She would have loved you. She was very firey and aggressive when it came to her friends and family. She would sing us lullabies and rock us. I remember the last time she rocked me was when I was four. I had tripped and cut my knee. She showed me magic that day. She let me hold her wand. Willow and Veela hair."
"Is that why you offered to help the Beauxbatons students? Cause some of them are Veela's like your Mom?"
"No, she wasn't a Veela but her best friend is. She offered her hair when they were making wands. She did attend Beauxbatons though."
You told Cedric about her and in the end, it felt like, in a way, he had met her." She would have stayed and become a professor if she hadn't fallen in love with my Dad. They were very happy."
"Like us?”
You paused, "Yeah. Like us."
Cedric smiled. You let your thought leave your mouth.
"Cedric. You are my home."
"How so?"
"Home is where your heart is."
The clock tower chimed for four in the morning. He looked at you, you had fallen asleep. He smiled as gently nudged you awake so you could sneak back to your commons. Cedric was quietly but hurriedly walking to his when he met someone: Dumbledore.
"Ah, Young Cedric. Early aren't we?" he said, smiling. "Why so early young man?"
"I- Um I was..."
"In the window sill," Dumbledore said, "Follow me, let's talk about this."
Cedric walked with DUmbledore, slightly slower than he'd normally walk. "So, am I in trouble?"
"No. You were just being a teenager. The Muggle equivalent of sneaking out of the house."
Cedric smiled, measured you weren't in trouble. "I guess."
"Mr. Booker forgot to tell you though. He will be watching from above."
"Oh? How- Oh wait."
"He has a knack for it, hm?"
"Yeah. It's so cool. He just goes and flies away."
Dumbledore shook his head, "I've seen a change in the both of you. So has the other professors. They say you seem to care a little bit more about the details and they tell me that he helps people, especially the underclassmen Slytherins. He must know it's rough."
"Yeah... I guess we've both changed."
"Love finds a way to change things," Dumbledore said.
"Love will find a way." Cedric repeated.
"Dragons." Cedric said to you as he looked at you. You were in the library reading up on some potions books since you had nothing else to do.
"Good morning to you," you said, looking up.
"How do I fight a dragon?" he asked, sitting down in the chair across from you.
"Why?”
"Cause... Harry Potter told me that the challenge would be dragons."
You picked up your cup of tea and sipped from it, "He could have lied."
"But what if he didn't?"
He had a point."Ok well, Cedric what do dragons do? Breathe fire. Put out the fire, beat the dragon."
"Ok, but that seems like... too easy." he said.
"Too easy? Well... Maybe if the dragon is focused on something else, it won't have time to deal with you."
He leaned over the table, "What can I distract it with?"
You began sharpening his skill in Transfiguration and now it was time to shine.
You walked in behind the Champions. You were followed by McGonagall, who would let you shift and then send you out to fly around and observe the champions. You shook Viktor's hand and kissed Fluer's hand before you got to Harry Potter.
"I am there to make sure you don't die." The boy looked stunned, but you recovered with a laugh. "No, no. You probably are safe. With or without me."
Lastly, you saw Cedric, he looked nervous but he smiled at you. You hugged him and whispered in his ear.
"Do your best."
You walked to McGonagall, who opened the curtain enough for your bird form to go through. You slowly shifted, which caught the other three champions off guard. You flew out and went up to the clouds. You loved flying. It was just you, the clouds, and the rush of the wind. Your wings could take you anywhere and be strong enough to make sure you got there. You began to dive back down as a cymbal sounded, time to do your job.
First was Cedric. You watched from above. 'Make sure no one cheats.' You watched him intently.
He dodged some of the fire before finding the perfect rock. You heard him shout out the spell and you flew down closer to caw in approval but the rock didn't turn into another dragon and he didn't call out the enlarging charm. It instead was a dog! You mildly panicked but you noticed the dragon was interested in the dog and that Cedric was sprinting for the egg.
He made it into the nest area when the dragon turned and noticed him. The dragon erupted a huge wave of fire on top of him.
'In case of potential death, help the champion." you flew down but that's when you noticed something. It seemed something was pushing back the fire but struggling to do so quickly.
A line from a poem came into mind, "Eating fire is your ambition."
Cedric had ambition.
He pushed up with the shield he was making. He had the egg, all he had to do was get out of the nest. "Dragons can breathe fire for twenty minutes." He just had to outlast the last fifteen. He counted down and made sure he had a good grip on the egg.
Now!
He pushed up with such force the shield hit the dragon in the face and knocked loose a few fangs. He was sweaty and very tired. He noticed you land and change to make sure he had brought the egg. He smiled as he stumbled to you, he lifted his wand.
"Orchideous." he said. A bouquet spilled out of the end of his wand. And like that he hit the ground out of exhaustion.
Cedric coughed himself awake. He was in the infirmary. He looked and saw you reading a book.
"Morning," he said, not knowing how long he'd been out.
"You inhaled enough smoke to kill a large dog."
"Four-twenty. Blaze it." he chuckled as he did a peace sign.
You laughed but you also rolled your eyes. "I wish I could stay mad at you."
You looked to his bedside t table. "A couple of people dropped you off some gifts. And don't forget," you raised a golden egg, "Mr. Second place, we need to figure this out."
He smiled, "Well, open the egg first." you reached to the top of it and undid it. The scream the egg let out hurt your ears and you could not have shut it fast enough.
"Yeah... That isn't good." You said sitting beside him. He groaned at the dismay of it not being easy.
After opening a few gifts, you spoke up.
"While you were sleeping. Dumbledore announced the date for the second task and another thing."
"What?" he asked, eating some of his Every Flavor Jelly Beans.
"The Yule Ball," you said.
He looked at you and smiled. "So are we going together?" he asked.
"Cedric... I don't think-"
"Please. I want to go with you."
You sighed, "Ok ok... But if anyone who isn't our friend asks. We are friends."
"Embarrassed of me?" he asked, half-joking, half-serious.
"No. It's just what if they-" Cedric sat up and leaned to press his head against yours.
"The people who love us will understand and the ones that don't will either get over it or have to fight me," he said, smiling.
You sighed, he was right. "Say, you are allowed to leave. Want to go get dinner?"
"Yes, I am starving," he said. He stood up and went to get dressed.
You waited outside the door for him as you thought about what you were going to do. He walked out of the door and you instantly grabbed his hand. he was a little surprised but you just held on as you both walked to go get food. You walked into the Great hall and headed for the Hufflepuff Table. They looked at you and a lot of them smiled and a few even raised a glass to Cedric.
"Congrats! On both." Melissa said. You and Melissa had become friends because of your life subscription to a fashion magazine and she would help you with other things.
"Thanks," Cedric said, squeezing your hand tighter.
"So Booker, I need your opinion."
"On?"
"Dresses. Sprout said we could all go one day and get suits and dresses and I am sure she'd let you come along!" she said. "Now, what color? I feel like a blue or maybe a pink"
You and Melissa rattled on about dresses, colors, and styles. Cedric got to thinking about the egg. He had time but he needed to figure it out or else it bother him for days. Suddenly, an idea hit him. The first trial was fire so it was maybe water.
"Hey, I think I am going to go get a bath and go to bed."
"Okay, see you later," you said to him.
You went back to chatting when a pair of Ravenclaw girls walked behind you, they were just chatting but your ears caught what the dark-haired one said.
"I like Cedric, Do you think he'll ask me to go?"
You felt your heart drop as you looked to see who exactly it was and saw Cho Chang. She was stunning, beautiful, and kind. You felt a twinge of envy.
Everyone had heard it too and they just stared at you. "Well... I guess I will be leaving now," you said. You stood up and almost ran out of the Great Hall. You ran til you slammed right into someone.
"I am so sorry, I just-"
"Boy, you shouldn't be running in the halls, and what is wrong with you?" It was Snape.
"Oh Professor Snape, I was just... I just am not doing too well. Apologies." You started to walk away.
"Wait a moment," he said walking to you. "What has you distraught?"
"It's nothing... You probably won't get it."
"Try me."
You sighed and sniffed, "Well, I liked someone and I thought they liked me too. But... I guess they don't." you said, trying to keep it as vague as possible.
Snape crossed his arms, "First of all, why should you be the one in tears. Second, never let someone make you cry."
"But I..."
"Loves hurts young man. Know when your beat but go on with your life. You only hurt yourself if you try to stay with the memories." He turned and walked away.
He had a point.
Cedric had just got into the water with the egg. He slowly opened the egg and heard a very beautiful voice come out of it. He listened to it several times and made mental notes about it all. He then thought about you and how you helped him with the Transfiguration. He smiled as he sat in the water. He also needed to tell Harry about the eggs. He had to because Harry told him about the dragons.
He heard a door open and he looked to see you. He waved.
"How did you get in?"
"Quidditch Captain."
He remembered that you had replaced the last one. You were a great Keeper and were very competitive. You once had thrown your shoe at the snitch to scare it away from him.
"Well, I figured ou-"
"Cho Chang. Who is she to you? In one minute or less. I will walk out of here Cedric."
"Uh, I... I know her, yeah, We have some of the same classes and she's smart. Why?"
You huffed "Well obliviously she thinks there's more to you two?"
Cedric turned to fully face you, "What are you on about?"
"She wants you to ask her to the Yule Ball and-" Cedric grabbed your hand.
"Baby. Listen, she might want me to, but I would never. I already have the best date."
You sighed, "You need to start letting me finish my sentences."
It was the day You all went to go grab your suits and such. The previous week, you all had gone and gotten measured and ordered which suits and dresses you wanted.
You had received a letter that your order was in so you and Cedric walked hand in hand, falling a little behind the group, to go grab the outfits. You all also talked about going to Honeydukes which Cedric responded with the worst thing you ever heard.
"I would but he's already sweet enough." Cringe radiated along with laughter through the group. You had also dragged Rich and Daniel along.
"We aren't even attending the ball, why do we need to come along?" Rich complained.
"You need the sun."
"It is literally snowing."
Despite their complaining, they were having a good time and even reconsidered not going when they met Melissa and her friend, Emma.
You had made it to the shop and began to look at the suits that had come in for you. You grabbed yours and made your way to go change. You took off your clothes and looked at the suit and noticed how finely it had been made.
You started with the button shirt and noticed something. The neckline went down further than you planned. This is what you got for refusing to wear the typical ones. Dammit. You put on the rest of the suit and turned to the mirror and it spoke.
"Looking good handsome!"
You shook your head and pulled back the curtain to see Cedric and Daniel, waiting for a dressing room to open. Daniel nudged Cedric to look at you and when he did, he turned red in the cheeks and his jaw dropped.
"Cedric. Flies."
He shut his mouth, "You look great." he mumbled out. You laughed as you turned back, shut the curtain, and rushed to change back into your normal clothes.
Cedric looked amazing, not surprised but he could help but make it look like he walked fresh off the runway.
"He could go into modeling in case the writing thing doesn't work." You said, watching him spin and make sure his outfit looked perfect. You smiled at him and checked himself out in the mirror.
"Stay Humble." Cedric's friend, Carter said.
"I am. Do you think I should get a haircut?"
Groans erupted. There was nothing wrong with wanting to look good, especially for a special occasion.
You walked in next to Cedric. He put his arm out for you to loop yours around. You walked at an okay pace and felt eye glue to the two of you. You felt so nervous and like you were sweaty. You looked at Cedric, who looked like it was nothing but a thing.
You heard whispers and you felt like you were going to vomit if Cedric didn't walk faster. You looked at the people and, despite your feelings a lot of them had genuine smiles, not joking or malicious ones. You felt the nerves wash off a little bit.
You eventually separated, he went to get drinks and you went to claim a table. You saw Melissa and her date, your friend, Daniel so you flagged them over.
"So, Where's Cedric?" Daniel asked.
"He went to go grab a drink." you felt a tap on your shoulder.
You looked to see Cho Chang and one of her friends.
"Booker. I am really really sorry. I didn't think you would have heard me cause I thought you were sitting at the Slytherin table and I didn't know you and Cedric were a thing.”
You looked at her and smiled, "It's alright. I typically do sit at the Slytherin table and you didn't know. I am sure you weren't the only one with a crush on him. I really appreciate your apology."
"Oh, that's a relief. Thank you and have fun!" she said as her friend pulled her onto the dancefloor.
"Alright. Which one of you told her?"
"Actually I did." you heard Cedric say as he returned.
"Oh my god.."
"I knew it upset you. Don't worry I was really nice about it and she actually said we look cute together."
"That's sweet of her," you said, sipping the drink.
"Yeah," he said, drinking some of his own, "Do you want to dance?"
"I suck at it but yes."
You took Cedric's hand as he led you to the dance floor. He slowly placed his hand on your waist, "One of us has to lead." he said, smiling at you. He then began to swirl and spin you around the dancefloor. You laughed as he tried to spin you as fast as he could and he attempt to dip you.
After the slow dances were the more enjoyable dances in your opinion. You had to take off your suit jacket to keep up with him and his dance moves. You grew to love the feeling of his hands on your hips and the sight of him looking at you like you were the most beautiful person he'd ever seen.
You and him were growing very tired and had gone to sit down at the table. He sat right beside you and leaned into your ear to whisper.
"You looked beautiful." Now, wait a minute. There was something else besides love in that. You felt your face flush as his hand came up to sit on your upper thigh.
"Uuh, Cedric.. We are-"
"Shh. Let's go. it's almost midnight anyway." He said, "Only if you want to though?" he said with a smirk. No matter what smile he had, you loved them.
You and him walked out into the hallway, he gently pulled you along.
"You aren't the only one with a hideout." he said as he came to a very old-looking door. It was a smaller room but you couldn't get a good look because Cedric shut the door and pressed you up against it.
He gently pressed his lips against yours. He was always gentle at the start. Slowly he started to get a little more forceful, you pressed back and looped your arms around his neck. He lifted you off the door and pulled his lips away.
"We know where this is going to go, right?"
"Yeah," you said, slightly out of breath.
"Do you want it to?"
You thought for a moment. "Yes."
He smiled. He sat you down on top of an old desk and he slowly went to kiss your neck. You sat there, skin heating up as he kissed and sucked places on your skin.
"You are so tense. Relax. I will take care of you, baby." he muttered.
"It feels good..." you breathed out. You breathed in Cedric. He always smelled like parchment, honey, and warmth.
He slowly peppered more kisses to your jawline.
You felt you should tell him.
"Cedric." you managed to strangle out.
"Hm?" he made a noise to let you know he was listening.
"This is the first time."
He pulled back and looked at you, "You mean?"
You shook your head. He smiled and pulled you into a hug.
"Uh... okay."
"What?"
"It just wasn't the reaction I was expecting is all."
"What? Expected me to go 'What a loser.' ?"
"Kind of." he frowned at that as he went to kiss you again.
"I would never say that or even think that of you," he said before reaching to undo his bowtie. You started to undo the buttons on your shirt.
"Wait," he said. You stopped.
"What? Is someone coming?"
"No, I just... if this is your first time, we are not going to do it on a desk."
"Cedric- It's.."
"It's important to me."
You both decided to wait. Wait til after he won the tournament.
You weren't asked to observe but you were asked to aid. You didn't exactly know what they wanted but they gave you a potion and slowly you fell asleep. Before you took your trip to dreamland you heard 'They'll recuse th-' and you were out.
Cedric wondered where you were until they explained what the task was: Find a loved one in the lake. One problem he saw right away was that the lake was so huge. He remembered what the egg had said but he figured the 'something dear' would be an item or something besides a person.
He planned on using the bubblehead charm and when the signal was fired he jumped into the water. He slowly began to swim. The water was frigid and he was frozen in shock for a moment but he began swimming.
'Why in February?' he thought as he felt even colder as he swam downward. He pulled out his wand.
"Lumos" he mumbled. A light began to shine from the tip of his wand. He looked for the other champions but didn't see one but he heard a whoosh and a pop behind him. He looked down at the grassy forest and realized what was down there.
"Lumos Maxima!" he shouted, still muffled by the bubble. A huge blast of light illuminated the surrounding area. Grindylows hated light and he figured this would be the best way to stun and distract them. He kept swimming.
He thought about you and that's when he remembered something: You can't swim. He immediately picked up the pace.
He saw what appeared to be four floating figures and one free, swimming one. Harry Potter. Cedric swam to him and saw that the boy had grown gills! Gilly weed, of course! He nodded at Harry and looked to point a half transfigured Viktor. Cedric cut you loose and swiftly swam upwards.
You breathed in as soon as your head reached above the water.
"Oh shit! Holy Jesus, what the- Cedric? Why am I in the lake?" you spat, clinging to him.
"Shh, I got you. Calm down," he said as he swam towards the ladder. He lifted you to McGonagall and you grabbed her arm to pull yourself up.
You took a towel and wrapped yourself in it. You felt like half drownded cat as you hook your hair and head in the towel and then you remembered: Cedric. You turned and saw him climbing out of the lake.
You grabbed his towel and started lecturing him.
"Honestly! You could've froze to death! What in the world are you wearing? They make wetsuits!" you fussed at him as you dried his hair and whipped his face.
He began to chuckle, "Ok ok, Mom, chill! It wasn't that cold. Give me the towel, It is colder up here than down there." he said.
You handed him the towel and he smiled at you. He noticed your face was still a little wet and he gently patted it dry, "You worry so much."
You shook your head at him and just smiled.
You were wrapped up in two blankets and your head was wrapped in a warm towel. You already had a start of a head cold before they shoved you into the frigid lake. Bad sinuses ran in your family: A strong wind could give a near-death experience; Whining and overreactions also ran in your family. You could have sworn there were mini icebergs floating in the water.
You pulled one of your arms out of the blanket wads and reached for your tea. You had insisted that you didn't need to go to the infirmary but now it sounded pretty nice. You looked out the small window and cursed the climate.
A February snow.
You closed your eyes as you imagined yourself at the lake house your parents owned where the temperature was also a good fifteen degrees warmer than anywhere else.
Along with your terrible blight of physical sickness, you felt a little homesick; Your mother always took care of you when you were sick. She could have easily cured you with a potion but she said it would be better for your immune system if you fought off the illness naturally.
You raised up a little bit when you heard the door of the commons open. You sighed as you saw Cedric.
The man with a strong immune system who hadn't succumbed to your germs but he was pressing his luck. "Are you feeling any better?" he whispered into the mostly dark room.
He obviously couldn't see your blanket hive, towel, and shaking hands holding a cup of a nasty, healing tea.
"I'm Fine." your hoarse creeky voice huffed.
Even though you knew you weren't fine you still rolled your eyes when he sighed out.
"Obviously not."
You laid back on the sofa with a huff and a groan. He slowly walked around and sat on the arm of the sofa.
He smiled down at you. "You get grumpy when you are sick. Why aren't you in bed?"
"We all know the first years can't wash their damn hands and if I go up there like Sickie McGee, they will die." you mildly joked.
"They have yet to master the magic of soap but this cannot be comfy." He said.
You scoffed, "The arms aren't, idiot but the actual sitting part is quite nice."
"Still and wouldn't it make more sense for you to not be in the commons where everyone is well... comming if you are worried about the spread of whatever you have?"
He was right, "They are called Common rooms because the community is supposed to communicate in them. But you have a point," you looked at his face that dripped with accomplishment, "It isn't a big one but it's a point."
"Can you let me have one win? Pretty please?"
You rolled your eyes, "Nope."
He slammed his hand to his chest, "Oh! Right in the heart!" he fell to the carpeted ground.
You smiled softly. "If you wake them up, we're going to be in trouble." You smiled as he stood up and walked to sit on the sofa. He was really pushing it.
"Trouble? My middle name!"
You rolled your eyes, "No, it's Daryl. And how have you been getting away with all this sneaking out anyway?"
He raised his eyebrow, "Did Juliet ask Romeo all these questions?"
You stared at him, "Who?"
"It's a play written by a muggle poet, William Shakespeare. It's a story about two-star crossed lovers whose families hate each other. Romeo sneaks to see Juliet out on a balcony or something like that."
You closed your eyes as you sat your tea back down, "Well, I guess our balcony would be the windowsill. I don't think our families would hate each other."
"One day, we'll all get together and have breakfast."
You smiled as you laid your head back, "You wouldn't like my father, though."
"Why?"
"He said if I ever date anyone who can't cook, he'll die on the spot."
"I guess I better practice."
Roger Booker was smoking his cigarette, grey smoke lingering around him. Under his bushy black eyebrows, his icy blue eyes glanced from the clock to his book and back.
He swept his greying hair back and his free hand went to fix a hair on his mustache, twisting it to shape.
He looked at the pot of tea his son had made and reached to pour himself a cup but your voice stopped him.
“Dad! That’s for when Cedric gets here.” He had agreed to let you invite Cedric over on the winter holiday before you both were due to return before the Yule Ball. And he was slowly regretting it.
“When is he going to get ‘ere then?”
“Dad, most wizards have issues with our kind of money and he may be confused in a cab or something like that.”
Your Dad scoffed, “You’d think they’d have a class on it.” Despite Roger being magical, he didn’t call himself a wizard since he barely knew anything about it and had no formal magical education.
However, his wife, a talented witch, insisted in him learning some magic since their kids may be magical.
“We have muggle studies.”
Your Dad looked at you just as the door rang, you stood up and walked to it and smiled when you saw a familiar face. You invited him in and your Dad stood up to see if the boy was as interesting and amazing as you had made him out to be.
He was surprised to see just a teenager: Average height, brown eyes and brown hair with natural highlights. Just average and mildly underwhelming from how much you talked about Cedric.
He didn’t know what he was expecting but he wasn’t it.
He knew that witches and wizards didn’t always fly around on broomsticks and walk around in pointed hats and wild colored robes but he was wondering if this was actually the guy.
Still, he walked up to him and extended a hand to the boy, “Roger Booker.”
Cedric took his hand and shook it, “Cedric. Cedric Diggory.”
“This is good,” you thought, “He hasn’t star-“
“So, you are a wizard. Are you any good?”
Shit. You knew Cedric, he was going to try to impress your Dad and it was going to end terribly.
Just like you predicted, Cedric pulled out his wand but instead of firing off sparks, he simply went, “Lumos Maxima!” Making the room light up.
You looked at your Dad’s face, seeing very little change. You sighed, your Dad wasn’t trying to be mean, he just didn’t get it.
Cedric put out the light and looked at you, you smiled back. You all had walked to the lounge and sat down.
“So, Mr. Booker, what do you do?”
“I am a professional photographer. I take photos for events and special occasions.”
Suddenly an idea popped into Cedric’s head, he reached for his wallet, “Then I think you’ll like this.” He pulled out a photo of him and his family.
He handed it to your Dad and you watched as a pleasant soft smile formed on his face.
“I haven’t seen one of these in years. I took a lot of photos and we didn’t put up the moving ones because we often hosted parties and other people might… You know, ask a few questions.”
You grinned, “I vividly remember the parties.”
Your Dad laughed, “I remember you serving ‘drinks’”
“Drinks?” Cedric asked.
“He walked around with cups of chocolate milk. People, nit wanting to be rude, took them and drank from them. Turns out, the milk had gone bad. “
Cedric chuckled as you shook your head. “Well, in my defense, the milk was on the counter and it was easy to reach.”
“We all learned a valuable lesson that day.”After a few more embarrassing stories and happy memories, it was time to cook. You stood up and walked to the kitchen, leaving Cedric and your Dad to talk.
You brushed back your hair, washed your hands and put in your apron. For the first course, you were going to prepare a garden soup.
You grabbed a knife as you looked for the the yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes and bell peppers. You reached for a large pot and set it in the stove, lighting it gas with a flick of your wand.
You walked to the pantry and pulled out some chicken stock, garlic, rosemary and thyme.
You swished your wand and watched as the knife slowly began to chop the vegetables.
You added the chopped garlic to the pot with a little butter to turn the garlic golden, you followed with the stock and aromatics. It was boiling when you added the vegetables and you turned it to a rolling simmer before putting on the lid.
You began preparing the sides for the main course: fondant potatoes and a mixed salad. You chopped the lettuce for the salad, you diced up some carrots and sliced some cucumbers.
You went to the fridge to grab some cheese to shred when you heard a loud thud and a shatter. You shut the door and ran to the living room.
You looked in horror when you saw it: your mother’s urn and ashes were on the ground. You looked at your Dad who looked as if he was about to explode with anger.
You pointed at the web with your wand, “Repairo.” The urn slowly came back together, your Dad opened it and pulled out his own wand, “Wingardium Leviosa.” The ashes began floating and he moved them to the urn and gently put them back.
“What happened?” You asked.
Your Dad was just hugging the urn so Cedric spoke. “The cat jumped up and she bumped the urn and it fell and I tried to catch it and I… I hit into the wall.” You walked to your Dad, who just turned and walked upstairs
You looked at Cedric with a sad but understanding look, “Thank you for trying to catch it. It wasn’t your fault.”
“Is he mad?”
“No. Just really sad. It hasn’t been easy for him. He… he misses her more than anything. He’ll sit down here and hold it when it gets really rough. He doesn’t handle change well.”
Cedric walked to you and took your hand. “I think it’s brave.”
“Him? Oh he really is.”
“No, you.”
You looked at him with confusion.
“Besides when you first told me about her, you never seem to grieve. Your Dad seems to do it a lot and you have every right to do it but you don’t.”
You sighed as you pulled him back to the kitchen, you shut the door. “It isn’t bravery. It’s just trying not to… lose myself in it.”
You were slowly starting to choke on tears you held back, “There are nights I cry so hard I can barely breathe and I give myself a headache. If I cried every time the urge and feeling hit me, I wouldn’t stop.”
Cedric pulled you into a hug and your tears began to fall. He held you tighter as the sniffles turned into sobs you muffled on his shoulder. He felt a few tears fall down his face as he silently listened to your sounds of pains and a few spoken words about fairness and how it hurt. After your breathing returned to normal with a few hitches, he let you go. You held a hand up to his face and wiped his tears, which made a few more fall from his beautiful brown eyes.
Suddenly the record player began to play, leaving the two of you confused, you turned to the door which you saw closing again. You smiled as you heard the song slowly fill the kitchen. Cedric and you decided to practice for the ball.
Roger Booker walked back upstairs, leaving his wife’s urn on the mantle. He walked to his room and grabbed a few picture frames including a small oval picture frame before walking back down stairs. He placed it beside the urn.
He watched for a minute as he saw the blonde woman smiling and laughing as she swung her son around in the garden. He watched as she swooped you back up into her arms.
He smiled as a tears dripped down his face and got caught in his mustache when the ran down the side of his nose.
He put up a wedding photo of her throwing the bouquet and him looping his arm around her waist, proceeding to spin her before kissing her.
He placed a picture of two little girls who were holding a baby on the wall beside a award he won for his photos.
He then put one final photo up. It was in the center of the mantle. You were seven and were forced to wear a bow tie.
Your older sister who was 12, was holding the cat and smiling with her braces shining and eyes glittering. The oldest who had just turned sixteen was standing beside your mother, looking like a spitting image of the older and taller woman.
The woman, your mother, the tallest, stood roughly in the middle. She was willowy and had a soft smile as her image turned to look at her husband.
Roger looked back at her before looking to the camera, he used to have chocolate brown hair and a full beard instead of just a mustache. He smiled as he evened up the photo, he took a few steps back and watched as the pictures of the wonders in his life moved.
He heard laughter coming from the kitchen as he walked back upstairs. Cedric was anything but average and he thought his son could do worse but it would be kind of hard to do better.
Cedric woke up because of a strong ray of winter sun. He rubbed his eyes before slowly opening them. He sat up with a light yawn and groan. He got up off his bed and he turned around to begin making it. As he straightened his pillow, he remembered something. He flung around and ran to his calendar, he then picked up a letter you had written.
Today was the day! You were going to come over this Thursday and on Monday you and him would side aparate with his Dad to Hogsmede and walk to Hogwarts.
Cedric ran to the bathroom to grab a shower and get ready. Due to his running, Amos looked up to make sure his son wasn’t about to fall through the floor or come down the stairs missing an arm. He sighed as he stirred his and his wife’s morning tea, she came to grab her cup before looking at him and grinning.
“Amos, do you remember what today is?”
He didn’t, “Well it isn’t our wedding anniversary. It isn’t February so it isn’t Valentine’s Day… No dear, I think I have forgotten.”
She huffed, “Today is the day we meet Cedric’s boyfriend!”
Amos sighed, “We’ll at least I was on the topic of love.”
She smiled and lightly laughed before walking to the window. “Do you think he’ll like us?”
“We’re great! The real question is if we will like him.” Amos said, lightly burning his tongue on the tea.
“Amos… This is serious! Cedric is absolutely crazy about him.” She said.
He sat down his cup and walked to her,“Carla, he’ll love us.”
Cedric had just got out of the shower and was looking at himself in the mirror, he ran a comb through his hair before drying and fluffing it out with his wand. He then brushed his teeth when he realized that you said you’d be there at ten.
He stuck his head out the door and yelled “Mum! What time is it?”
“Half past eight, sweetheart!”
He sighed in relief, spit out the foamed toothpaste, put on his bathrobe, and walked to his room where he right for his closet. He pulled on a pair of jeans and an off-white sweater, dug around, and found an old pair of brown boots. He got dressed and laced up his boots before walking downstairs. He looked at the clock to see only two minutes had passed.
He huffed, sad that it would still be a while til you arrived. Carla and Amos looked at each other, Amos sighed and Carla smiled. "Cedric, come to have a spot of breakfast, sweetheart," she said.
Cedric turned and walked into the kitchen. Amos looked at his son, whose sadness was on his face as he looked at the clock in the kitchen. "Ced, a watched pot never boils."

Hiiii! I have a request, poly!marauders x animagus!fem reader (you decide what type of animal) and everytime it’s full moon she turn into an animagus and watches hboyfriends (kinda lurks around secretly) as they take care of Remus. The thing is they don’t know that she’s an animagus, and what would their reaction be when they found out?
(You’re an amazing writer and your fics makes my day🫶🏻)
this was so sweet - thanks for your request and for your patience in me getting this to you!
please note: my requests are currently closed as I finish exams and work through the requests that I currently have.
poly!marauders x fem!reader who's a secret animagus
Prongs was very confused.
This was the third moon in a row that he, Padfoot, Wormtail, and Moony had been romping through the woods when Moony seemed to get caught up on something.
He wasn’t sure what had changed; they always followed the same routine: transform in the shack, let Moony out, follow their trail where they can run (and roll, in Moony & Padfoots case) down a large hill, chase each other along the river bank, drink from the edge of the Black Lake, and slowly make their way back to the shack for Moony’s transformation.
Except, once again, they seemed to be caught up under this unassuming tree.
Prongs looked to his canine companion who offered what he could only assume as a doggy shoulder shrug as Moony yipped and stood on his hind legs in an attempt to see through the lowest bows of the tree.
The first time this happened, Moony almost took one of Padfoot’s legs off for trying to encourage him to leave the tree.
The second time, Moony could only be convinced to leave as his bones actually started stretching and reorganising themselves as the transformation started.
What was even stranger, though? After both of those moons, Remus woke up in a panic asking where you were and if you were ‘okay’.
It took Sirius shifting back into Padfoot and laying across Remus’ chest in order to provide grounding pressure to his chest before they could get him to calm back down and convince him that you were safe.
James hated seeing this side of Remus; the side of him that none of them had seen since before the Marauders told him that they knew his secret. He felt horribly paranoid, reclusive, and entirely too guilty.
Guilty for daring to love you even though he felt you deserved better. Guilty for allowing you to love a werewolf. Guilty for not telling you that you were in love with a werewolf. And guilty for lying to you about it every month.
Sirius and James hated the secrecy too - but it wasn’t their secret to tell. They loved you, but they couldn’t take away Remus’ autonomy when it came to his infliction.
But, tonight - the third moon in a row of this nonsense from Moony - and Prongs had had it.
Prongs bowed his head and scooped Wormtail up into his antlers, hoisting him up to the lowest branch of this damned tree Moony was fucking obsessed with and encouraged him to investigate.
Moony let out a little whine and a huff as he sat and watched the little rat disappear through the bows of the grand pine.
A squeak alerted the two animagi and one werewolf to trouble when the top branches began to move and out flew a large black crow with a rat trapped in its talons.
The crow gently glided to the ground about ten feet away from the trio and let go of the rat who quickly ran up Prong’s leg and situated himself in the safety of his antlers.
Padfoot - ever protective of his pack of misfit toys animals - began stalking toward the offending bird, sure that Moony was just as excited as he was about this impromptu hunt. It wasn’t their favourite - it was not a rabbit - but it would do.
However, much to both Padfoot and Prongs’ surprise, Moony quickly leapt in front of the crow and grumbled warningly at Padfoot, going so far as to bare his teeth at his pack member.
Padfoot tilted his head in confusion at Moony as if perhaps the situation would make more sense at a 45 degree angle, but it appeared that it made no difference when Pads ultimately huffed and turned back towards Prongs.
Prongs wanted to laugh - but deer stags couldn’t do that - so he let out a ‘bleat’ as the crow flew above Padfoot and teasingly landed on his head.
Padfoot, ready for a fight, turned to nip at the bird who simply jumped back up and hovered just out of reach of the dog.
Prongs was suddenly even more confused.
What crow willingly releases a plump, likely juicy, rat from its talons instead of enjoying it as their meal? And what crow willingly teases a large werewolf sized dog in front of his werewolf friend?
This one, apparently.
And Moony - usually very possessive and exclusionary when it came to the other creatures they came across in the Forbidden Forest - seemed not only accepting of this new addition, but really quite pleased with it.
But it was time to go if Moony’s flinches and groaning was any indication; the transformation would happen soon.
Padfoot moved towards Moony and affectionately nudged him with his shoulder, hoping to encourage him towards the Shrieking Shack.
Moony seemed to understand that he ought to go, but couldn’t bring himself to leave without his newest friend.
Somehow - to Prongs’ absolute astonishment - the crow seemed to understand what the hold up was and flew over to situate itself on Prongs’ antler.
Prongs - far too tired after a night full of romping with a werewolf directly after a full day of classes - acquiesced to being a glorified chauffeur for his smaller friends and led the way to the shack.
The crow sat quietly on the top of the old fireplace as the Marauders went about business as usual.
Padfoot convinced Moony to curl up on the bed so he would wake up at least semi-comfortably, whilst Prongs used his antlers to encourage a blanket up around Moony so he wouldn’t wake up completely nude, and Peter ran back towards the castle to give the lovers some privacy.
Once Moony returned fully to Remus, Prongs and Padfoot took a moment to shift back to their own human forms and started up on the healing process, completely forgetting about their interloper.
With a groan, Remus came to after James encouraged healing potion down his throat.
“I’m sorry, Moons.” He apologised in a whisper as he handed the empty vial to Sirius’ waiting hand.
“Where is she?” Remus croaked.
“Where’s who, babe?” Sirius asked, sharing a concerned glance with James.
Remus choked in his attempt to respond and both boys began shushing him. “Dovey.” He finally got out.
“She’s at the castle, Moons…she’s safe.” James placated.
“No.” Remus argued. “She was there.”
James turned to see if Sirius had any idea how to handle their boyfriend’s insanity when he spotted it behind Sirius.
The crow.
“You.” He whispered in awe, causing Sirius to whip his head around.
The crow hopped down from the mantle of the fireplace and landed gracefully on the floor before it spun and grew back into you.
“Dovey.” Remus groaned. James turned to see there were tears in Remus’ eyes, though he knew not what for.
“Hiya Moons.” You answered shyly, shooting guilty glances at Sirius who was still staring at you in shock and to James who was looking frantically between you and Remus.
“It’s been you?” James asked incredulously.
“How long have you known?” Remus asked at the same time.
You smiled sadly at Remus and knelt down beside him. “Long enough to become an animagi?”
“You sneaky little witch.” Sirius finally let out with a breath, sitting down unceremoniously at the foot of the bed to look at you.
“I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad.” You begged quickly; eyes darting nervously between your three boyfriends.
“You’re worried about us being mad?” Sirius asked disbelievingly.
“Angel, you’ve caught us sneaking around and lying to you.” James teased with a certain level of sincerity, nudging you with his shoulder.
“Do you hate me?” Remus whispered, eyes still trained steadfast on you.
You looked at him like he had grown three heads.
“Remus, I love you. That’s why I’m here.” You pressed severely.
Remus laughed out a sob and covered his face with his hands.
“I’m sorry, but what the fuck were you thinking?” Sirius asked suddenly.
“What?” You responded warily.
“Casually inserting yourself into a werewolf pack! What would you have done if Moony hated you?” He barked, flinging a hand towards Remus’ general direction.
You scoffed derisively and shot Remus a look like ‘can you believe this guy?’ “I’m impossible not to love, Sirius. Do keep up.”
Your cheek earned you a scoff before Sirius was launching himself at you and the two of you fell to the floor, disturbing layers of dust and causing the particles to dance through the air.
“You’re so lucky you're cute.” Sirius said in faux contempt as he peppered your jaw and neck with kisses.
James sighed in relief as he looked back over at Remus who was watching the two of you with a look so full of fondness, James was surprised he couldn’t see hearts pouring out of his eyes.
“You okay, Rem?” James asked him quietly, pulling one of his hands to his mouth and pressing a kiss to his palm.
“Perfect, Jamie. Just perfect.” Remus said with a content smile and a single happy tear trailing down his cheek.
James was more than inclined to agree.

My Fuzzy little Problem
summery : Somehow your boyfriend roped you into becoming an animagi alongside the marauders. And now you can't get enough of your Animagus form. You find it extremely comforting So you often like to hangout in your Animagus form.
James Potter x Reader
Warnings: Pure fluff.
Tumblr media
You love roaming around in your animagus form, honestly a bit too much. And usually James is incharge while you turn into the furry little cuteness. And it's become so normal that the students at Hogwarts has started to believe that James has a little furry cat as his pet.
You're always sitting on his shoulder or sometimes even on the top of his head, apparently you find his unruly hair fluffy and comfortable. A lot of time you make him wear his hoodie backwards and just hang around in the hood and rub your little nose against his chin.
James also finds it extremely comforting when all you want to do is snuggle with him. He loves to cuddle up to you after his quidditch matches in your normal human body but sometimes when he wakes up he finds that you had shifted into your animagus form and had curled up on his chest emitting loud purrs in your sleep.
He would simply smile down at your cute kitten face and just hold you close to his chest, his extremely soft hoodie cuddling you closer as you wake up with a big yawn because of the little shift in his body.
Even when James is roaming around the black forest in his animagus form, you love to sit on the back of the elegant stag and explore the forest with your curious eyes, meowing when you see something interesting. And after a while Prongs would sit you both down under a large tree on top of a cliff that you both found one day, while strutting around the forest lands, as you played with his giant magnificent antlers. Climbing up on them or finding a perfect curve to hang between or just tap them with your fuzzy little paw. Prongs would bring his head down to lay on the ground and you'd gently walk up to him and boop or lick his snoot in affection as he looked unimaginably adorable with that innocent deer-like face and big brown doe eyes.
Today, was just another day for you. Though for James, it wasn't. It was Friday, meaning his quidditch practice. And as the year was nearing its end, the quidditch cup stood in the schedules of all students. Your finals had been completed, it was the last week before the summer holidays. James was working his arse off as the captain of the gryffindor quidditch team. He wanted to make sure that this year he will be the one bearing the quidditch cup in his hands. He wanted needed to feel that pride as he held the quidditch cup in the air, while looking at the beaming smile on your face as you sported a prideful glint in your eyes and gazed up at him.
But today maybe he had pushed his limits. He was exhausted and could barely move. All he wanted was to go back to his dorm and cuddle up to you.
While James was contemplating his life choices in his quidditch locker room. You were in need of a warm cozy Friday evening. After all you had worked very hard for last whole month preparing for your finals.
You entered James' dorm, knowing you won't find him there. So, you changed into your animagus form and entered his dorm.
At first you thought there was no one in the dorm present. But then you looked over at Rem's bed and saw him snuggled up against fuzzy blanket in his big sweater, his head tucked soundlessly in the fluffy pillow. You were best friends with marauders before you and James became a thing. So, it was normal for you to cuddle up to one of them. You decided that Remus' bed looked way much more cozy than James' as for now. So you made your way towards it.
You jumped up and landed right next to the sleeping Wolf's hand. You wiggled your way between his arms and he woke up slightly by the feeling of something shifting against him.
"Oh hi there." He mumbled sleepily as he shifted you in a more comfortable position and scratched lightly behind your ears and soon you were lulled to sleep.
An hour or so later you were woken up by a loud slam of door. Your body jerked in fear as you had been woken up very rudely by your boyfriend.
"Sorry, didn't know you were sleeping. But my hands are full..." James offered a sheepish smile as he set his broom and quidditch kit down.
You immediately hopped off Remus' bed and jumped on James as he sat down on his own bed for a while. He smiled down at you tiredly.
"Hey there, my fuzzy little problem." You meowed disapprovingly at that name. James chuckled, seeing the little scowl on your face.
"Alright. I won't call you that." He put his hands up in surrender as you showed off your claws.
James patted your head for a while and chatted with Remus about his new book. After a while he sat you down on his bed and giggled as you let out another disapproving meow.
"Sorry, bub. But I really have to take a shower and then we can cuddle, Kay?" As James went inside as you heard clomping of paws running towards you. Looked at the door and saw an overly excited black dog run up to you.
He looked up at you and you booped his snoot with your paw. He tried his fake attempts to clamp at your little paw and in return you smacked him on his head. It was yours and Sirius' way to say hello. James and Remus often found it weird but thought it was adorable none the less.
Padfoot soon went away and settled himself on Remus' bed as Remus scratched his belly and gave him patts.
By the time James returned you were curled up on his bed and Remus was cuddling with Padfoot and both had already fallen asleep.
James gently picked you up in his arms like a baby and you rested your head on his shoulder as he pulled out some blankets and pillows. After he was done, he laid you both down on the bed and you nuzzled your head in his biceps.
"Darling, can you turn back. I really need you to hold me. I'm tired." He mumbled. His lips pouted and his eyes were barely staying open. You turned back into your human form without missing a beat.
You quickly took James in your arms and laid his head on your chest as you gently ran your fingers through his curly hair, peppering kisses on his forehead.
As you gently rubbed your hand from the nape of his neck down to his shoulders you felt his breathing slow down and you looked down at him to see he was fast asleep with his head buried in your breasts wearing the most adorable look on his face as he exhaled slowly out of the curve of his pink lips.
And just looking at his sleeping form, you knew you were in complete love with this man. He was everything you ever wanted, everything you ever needed.
"I love you." You couldn't help but whisper to him. And what you didn't expect was the lazy smile gracing his lips as he nuzzled further unconsciously in your chest.

Theo dragged his feet back to his dorm, after trying to find you everywhere in the castle he had given up. The castle was way too big, there was no way he would roam it all in one day.
His front hit his bed and simultaneously, a cat's sound was heard, he looked around and surely your uniform was kept there folded neatly, the yellow tie sitting on top.
He peeked under his bed, and surely there you were, he reached out and plucked you up in his arms and you nuzzled in his lap.
"You were here?" He said with an exasperated sigh, though a smile was hinting at the corner of his lips when he saw you were yawning.
"I was looking all around, and you were here napping." He shook his head slightly at your follish behavior but decided to let it go when you had begun sleeping.
It was hours later when he was woken up, though a soft coat of fur wasn't what woke him up. Instead, it was your cold hands touching his cheek, startling him awake.
He smiled at you fondly, happy to have you back in your human form. You were putting your tie back on and were looking ready to leave.
"Where are you going?" He asked with obvious curiosity while you giggled and told his sleepy self that it was time for dinner.
He sat up in his bed and you brushed past him, but he took your hand and brought you back to him, sitting you on his lap. "Why did you run away after class?"
You looked clearly embarrassed, "I didn't score so well today." You admitted and he hugged you tighter kissing you cheek softly.
"Next time you run away and hide, take me with you." You smiled at this, he didn't give you a lecture nor told you study harder, he just supported you and it was all you needed.

Theo Nott x Fem Reader

“What—pray tell—the fuck are you doing in my room?” Theo roared, his back planted firmly against his headboard. You had migrated to standing at the end of the bed, your hands just balancing yourself against the mattress.
“What are you talking about? I fell asleep in the library, I—did you kidnap me?” you shrieked in realization.
“Are you kidding me? No, I didn’t fucking kidnap you. Are you daft?” he asks, his eyebrows furrowing. You scoff.
“Okay, first of all, you don’t need to be an ass about it,” you scolded, pointing a sharp finger at him, “and second of all, how the hell am I supposed to know if you did or not? I fell asleep in the library and woke up in your bed!”
“Look, I have no idea how—hey, where’s Sleepy?” he interrupted himself. He began gently pushing the covers around.
“I’m sorry, who?” you ask. He pulled the comforter back and laid across the bed horizontally to glance under the bed.
“Just my cat, she…,”
He paused and leaned back up. The two of you made direct eye contact and stared for what felt like hours. His eyes were slightly squinted as he looked at you, up and down, and you did the same to him. His mouth opened and closed multiple times as if starting to say something but nothing ever came out. Slowly, the two of you came to a very morbid discovery.
“Nott…how long have you had your cat?” you asked, hoping for an answer you knew you weren’t going to get.
“I found her today…,” both of your eyes slid shut, “in the library.”
You groaned and pinched the bridge of your nose between your thumb and forefinger. Merlin help you. Of course, the amazing luck that you were granted did nothing to prevent you from having the worst day of your life. It turns out that having an incredible, life-changing gift wasn’t always a blessing. You opened your eyes.
Theo’s head snapped up suddenly. His furrowed eyebrows had drawn down to match the line of his eyelid. His jaw clenched and unclenched ferociously. The anger radiating off of him was nearly palpable. It shocked you just a bit because you had never seen him as anything but cool and confident.
“Are you okay?” you asked cautiously. He stood from the bed and marched right past you. He made his way over to the dorm entrance, undid the lock, and ripped it open. As if newly appearing, three bodies fell in and clumsily on top of each other. Mattheo Riddle, Pansy Parkinson, and Lorenzo Berkshire stared up at a fuming Theo. His breaths were moving through him like a charging animal.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” he demands. They all stumble to their feet, struggling over each other. Theo is watching them intently, all but tapping his foot at them.
“Personally, I feel that we hinted at it pretty strongly—” Enzo started.
“Obviously I didn’t fucking get it, why wouldn’t you say something?”
“In our defense, we didn’t think you were going to…you know…take her back to your room,”  Pansy gestured vaguely.
“I thought she was a cat,” he enunciated each word slowly. “She was sweet and laying against me, I brought her in here so I could take a nap.”
“Well, it looks like you got a two-for-one deal!” Mattheo attempted a joke. Theo turned towards him with eyes like swords, begging to slash him into two. The dark boy’s smile dropped and he suddenly became very interested in the material of the drapes around him. You couldn’t stand this.
“Excuse me, I’m right here,” you say. “Would anyone like to tell me what the hell is going on?”
All three of them started to speak, trying to explain what exactly had been going down the last few hours. You could barely understand a single word. You refrained from rolling your eyes. This may be the worst thing that ever happened to you. Your eyes found the floor as the three students continued to try and explain everything over each other. A hand came to your mouth and you began to chew on the shredded skin along the edges of your nails. A bad habit, yes, but calming.
Your eyes glanced up to look at Theo. His eyes watched the other three intently, trying to decipher them as well. Your eyes trailed down his figure. Mind betraying you, you remembered the way he felt pressed up against your back. His long, lean chest was pressed tightly against your spine and his strong, darkened arms had been wrapped tightly—possessively—around your waist. His forearms had been locked so roughly against your hip bone, you’d had to use both hands to push yourself up. His soft breaths had been cooly painting the skin just below your ear, tickling the small hairs there. A shudder ran down your arms as if he had just done it again.
The three students stopped their chattering and looked at you. You stopped biting at your fingers and stared at them, wide-eyed.
“What?”
“You shuddered,” Pansy stated. Theo’s eyes found yours, his head ever so slightly tilting to one side. Fuck. Your eyes traced the line of his jaw down his throat.
“I…just had a chill,” you brushed the thoughts away. “Okay, thank you all for those wonderful…explanations. I have been mortified by this and will never mentally heal from it. I think I am going to go back to my dorm.”
And with that, you clapped your hands together and turned towards the exit. None of them said anything else to you or made any effort to stop you from going, so you figured you all would just awkwardly pretend it never happened. You figured your books and things were still back in the library so you started heading that way, hoping that nobody had tried to turn anything into the lost and found. How long had you been out?
“Okay, I don’t think laying with me is ‘mortifying,’” Theo scoffed.
“I think so,” Mattheo said. Theo responded by giving him a swift punch to the shoulder.
In the back of his mind, Theo heard Pansy make some kind of joke that sent the three of them into a spiral of laughter. But, for whatever reason, his thoughts were traipsing across a vast landscape. His mind's eye was traveling up the expanse of the sheets that were wrapped messily around the two of you. They were tracing the peak of her bare thigh that her tugged skirt had exposed and reminiscing on the way his hands had felt against her soft body. Her hair had just gently tickled the tip of her nose and she had smelled so, so good. Merlin, it had been so long since—
“Theo!” He jumped out of his own thoughts. His eyes found his very concerned friend group as they appeared to be waiting for an answer from him.
“Mate, I said your name, like, eight times,” Mattheo said. Theo shrugged.
“Sorry, I was distracted…” Theo thought he heard the other boy mumble a smart–ass comment but he just ignored him. His damned brain kept flying back to that girl. He didn’t know what it was but something about her waking up next to him like that had him seeing her in a whole new light. She wasn’t unattractive—she was anything but—but she really seemed to hate him. She was always rolling her eyes or scoffing anytime he announced a wrong answer in class. And she never called him by his first name, only his last. He can’t say he knew that much about girls but those particular attributes did not seem like they belonged to one that liked him.
He shrugged those thoughts off the best he could and followed his group of friends out of the dorm and into the common room where more of their acquaintances had begun to gather.
xxx
It had been hours. Hours and you were still thinking about Theo Nott. This was ridiculous. You needed to move on, needed to get to the homework you had been trying to get done this whole evening, but you just couldn’t. Every thought kept realigning itself to the way it felt when he had been holding you. It sent chills down your spine every time you thought about it. You had never been held like that.
Your roommates were all out late, trying to have a good time down at the Three Broomsticks. They had begged you to come but, due to a particularly interesting afternoon, you had incidentally become very behind on your homework. So you declined and promised you would next time.
Yet, you still weren’t done with this stupid assignment and probably could have gone with them anyway. You groaned in frustration and dropped your head against the desk, feeling the cool wood beneath it.
This morning, if you could have guessed what you’d be doing, mulling over the way Theo’s arms looked, would not have even been in the top one million guesses. But here you were, practically drooling over the way his veins wrapped around his muscular arms.
You remembered the way his large hands had been so gently placed over your stomach, the tips of his fingers gently gripping your flesh while he slept. The way his hips were pressed firmly against your ass—
“Aah!” you squealed in utter shame, shaking the thoughts away from your head. What the fuck, what the fuck. You might die. The fact that you couldn’t get him off your mind despite how much you couldn’t stand him was disconcerting. You’d always thought he was extremely handsome, as did practically everyone else, but you never thought you’d even imagine in that…way. Damn it.
Theo rolled over, tugging the comforter back over his shoulders. He shut his eyes once more, trying painfully hard to will himself to sleep. He had Quidditch practice in the morning, he needed to get some rest. He needed to. But he couldn’t. That stupid—you were running through his mind like a record stuck on rotate. It kept going and going, scratching against him. He’d never, ever thought about you in any way other than annoyance. But he couldn’t get you off his mind.
All he could think about was the way you were arched gracefully against his hips when you were laid out together. The way your skirt was pulled over your hips and he could almost see the line of your underwear beneath the sheets. He wondered what color they were, what they looked like. He kept his eyes closed, clenching them harder. Go to sleep.
Your body was pressed against his just like before. The light outside made your hair and shoulders glow, spotlighting every rise and fall your breathing pushed through you. Your hair was pulled over your shoulder and splayed gracefully over the pillow. He wanted to touch it but he kept his hands firmly where they were.
Suddenly you grunted gently and rolled over, coming face to face with him. This time you didn’t jump back and scream and accuse him of kidnapping you. This time, your eyes were opened and simply watching him. Your gaze was lidded and sultry, your lashes creating a sinister shadow along your cheeks. A small smirk spread over your lips as he watched you. Still, he did not move.
Your hands slowly rose between the two of you. Your soft, nimble fingers found the buttons of your uniform shirt and began working them down. Theo’s breath halted in his chest as more and more of you were revealed. Your hands granted him passage to your chest. You wore a laced black bra that was cinched tightly between your breasts. His eyes flickered down once, twice. He swallowed thickly.
Your hands pulled away from your shirt once the last button was undone and pushed him back so he rested comfortably against the headboard. You pushed a leg across his lap and settled neatly in the empty space. Like a reflex, his hands came to rest against your skirted hips. His fingertips brushed the felted material as you stared down, challenging him.
You split the two sides of your shirt and slid it over and off your smooth shoulders. Without so much as a breath, Theo leaned forward and pressed his lips to the skin there. You gave a light gasp at his action. Your rapid heartbeat danced against his tongue as he ran it along the expanse of your neck.
You pushed him back against the headboard. You pulled your hands up to the clip pressed tightly against your chest. Your fingers curled around it and—
Theo’s eyes opened. The sun was up and Mattheo was squatted beside his bed, watching him with an obnoxious smirk printed on his face. Theo jumped back at the sudden face in front of him. He leaned up and glanced around wildly, trying to gather his bearings, ignoring Mattheo’s annoying cackling beside him.
“Dude, what the hell?” Mattheo laughed.
“What? Shut the fuck up,” he grumbled, pushing him back away from the bed.
“Oh, baby,” Mattheo moaned in a high-pitched voice. “Come here, darling. Let me—”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Theo asked.
“You must have been having one hell of a dream, man,” he laughed, “when I got in here, you were saying all kinds of stuff.”
Theo blushed deeply, his nose and ears burning, as he remembered the subject of his dream. Flashes of your thick hips and chest pressed against him and his hands and lips on you and…fuck.
“Shit, man, who were you dreaming about? You’re as red as an apple,” Mattheo asked, an eyebrow arching. Theo didn’t reply. Mattheo’s eyes widened.
“Oh my god, you weren’t dreaming about—?”
“How about some breakfast?” Theo interrupted, abruptly pulling the covers back and slipping a tee shirt over his head.

Poly!Marauders x Fem!Reader Fluff
Summary; what happens when you catch a cold and can’t stop transforming into your kitten animagus whenever you sneeze, leaving the boys to attempt to nurse you back to health?
Warnings; None! i think there’s one cuss word but other than that it’s good! (; Just crazy fluffy!!
unedited, not proofread
“Does that feel any better, love?” Remus questioned sweetly, removing the cold towel from your forehead. “a little bit..” You mumbled, laying your head onto his shoulder. “I’m sorry you’re sick, baby” He pressed a sweet kiss on your forehead, “Sirius and James should be back soon, okay, bunny?” You nodded, you missed your boys, they were off at Quidditch practice so that left Remus to pick up the pieces. You always hated being sick, it made you feel so helpless and weak every time you were, and to make matters worse, you always felt guilty every time the boys had to get something for you, take your temperature, or even make you some food, but i you knew it was because they loved you and wanted you to get better, except this time, was different.
“I’m gonna go make you some tea, okay, baby?” Remus insisted he make you tea, it always made him feel a little bit better after full moons. “M’kay” You tried your best to keep your eyes open, you knew yourself, if you fell asleep you’d wake up feeling 20x worse than how you felt prior. You sniffed, feeling like you needed to sneeze, so you did, and naturally your sneezes were adorable, like a little kittens, per usual, but except this time.
*Poof!*
you were a kitten, not usual. You looked down at your tiny little paws, as you flopped over to your side, mewing softly in defeat, yet you sneezed again,
*Poof!*
and you were back to your normal self.
a quiet knock on the door, followed by your boyfriends quietly coming in, just incase you had fallen asleep.
“Lovie? you up?” a voice spoke softly, you could only imagine as your james, you poked your head up out of the piles of blankets covering your body,
“Jamie?” You mumbled, “Yeah, baby, it’s me..” He sat down next to you, stroking your arm, “You okay, lovie?” You nodded, even though you felt like shit but that was beyond the point, you were with your boys now. “Here’s your tea,” Remus handed you the cup, you sipped on it slowly. “Thank you..” you looked up from the cup, smiling softly. Merlin did they love that smile, “Would you like anything else, princess?” Sirius spoke up, hugging you from behind, shoving his face into your neck. “No, i’m okay, Siri” You put your chilly hand on the top of his head, patting it gently.
then— oh no.. not another-
“Achoo!” you squeaked
*Poof!*
You were a cat, again.
You flopped to your side again, mewing pitifully up at Sirius, embracing your embarrassment. “Aww.. she’s embarrassed for being the cutest little kitten..” James scooped you up in his hands, scratching the top of your head. “Moony! do you see this??” James squealed, he loved your animagus, he thought it was just adorable, like you. obviously you sneezed again, back to your normal self.
“S..sorry..” you apologized, feeling embarrassed. “Love.. that was the cutest thing I think i’ve ever seen” Sirius brushed his thumb over your cheek, “Don’t be embarrassed for being adorable” Remus spoke up, laying down, offering for you to join him, you laid your head on his chest as the others joined you. Remus stroked your forehead gently, wrapping his arms around you.
“Oi, Pads” James whispered, “M’yeah?”
“Is there some sort of spell that we can put on her that makes her always turn into the kitten when she sneezes?

"I give it a five out of ten loaf," Theo stated.
Enzo shook his head. "No, this is definitely at least a seven," he replied while leaning back against the headboard of his bed.
Mattheo scoffed at his two friends. "This is a perfect score, ten out of ten loaf," he said, gesturing to the loafing bunny right next to him on his bed. "Absolutely perfect."
Theo rolled his eyes. "You're just saying that because she is your girlfriend." He pointed out.
"Well, I'm sorry that I have a cute girlfriend who can turn into a bunny and you don't." Mattheo retorted.
Enzo snickered. "Your girl is vicious. She has bitten me more times than I can count." He added, and he narrowed his eyes at you. He held up his hand showing off the small bite mark you had given him earlier when he had tried to pick you up.
"Princess has a bit of a problem, but she's perfect, and I love her."

Mattheo Riddle x Reader
Inspired by @rilakeila's work
Summary: You are an animagus who can turn into a cat. But one morning, you wake up to an unpleasant surprise.
You were majorly screwed.
How were you supposed to go to classes like this?!
Seem like your private lessons with Professor McGonagall didn't pay off as well as you thought.
Now, here you were stuck with a pair of ears and a tail!
You must have tried to turn in your sleep and somehow got halfway stuck. That wouldn't be the issue. The issue was that no matter what you tried, you couldn't make them go away.
And your first class was with Snape... great.
No student knew about your abilities. Some professors knew but that's all.
You wanted to call in sick, pretending you were ill, but you also knew no one would believe you.
One last attempt you turned fully into a feline before turning back but the ears and tail were still there. You knew you had to go to class. You knew you couldn't reveal your secret.
You let out a sigh before grabbing your robe to hide your tail and a hat for your head. You thanked the winter at least it will be passable on the hallways, maybe not inside the class but you will deal with that later...
"Miss Y/L/N... I thought you were aware that it is rude to wear a hat inside my class."
Of course, Snape couldn't just let it pass, but you were a great actress.
"Of course, Professor, I got ill last night and I am shivering as it is, if you could allow me please to keep it on, I learned so much for today's test, I didn't want to miss it." Snape gave you a look but let it pass. Just this once.
After class when everyone left, you stayed behind.
"Professor, I do apologise for the hat."
"You are not sick." his voice was so monotone.
"No. I woke up this morning and..." you took off your hat and showed him your ears. "And I also have a tail..."
"I'll talk with Minerva. See if she can help, for now go to your next class." you smiled and turned to leave.
You always liked Snape. There was something about him, something behind his eyes, he was hiding his kindness and you saw that.
Your day went on quite well, pretending to be sick so you could keep your hat on. Professor McGonagall unfortunately, had no idea how to change you back, she said she will read some books and get back to you as soon as possible.
Later that day, you sat defeated in a hallway. It was rather quiet since no one really used that hallway.
You let out a long sigh before trying to return to your book.
"Here you are. I have been looking for you." came a voice and as you looked up, you saw Mattheo walking over to you. "Here." he handed you a small brown bag and you looked at him confused. "Take it, it's not going to explode!" Mattheo and you barely spoke before. He was a friend of yours, you would say.
You took the bag and opened it, only to find medicine in there.
"The lady at the store said these are the best for a cold." he explained as you looked back up at him. "You said during many classes today that you feel ill."
Was he worried about you?
"Thank you!" you yelled after him as he walked away. He raised one of his hands to wave goodbye.
You felt your heart swell.
You might have just developed a crush on Mattheo Riddle...
---
Two days later and you had the same issue.
The professors had no idea how to help you and every possibility you tried out failed.
Dumbledor decided to officially give you an exemption from classes for the time being. He respected your decision that you didn't want to share your secret with the students.
Everyone was told that you were sick.
You truly didn't like lying to others, especially your friends, but you were also not ready to share that you are an animagus.
There was a sudden knock on your door.
"O-One moment!" you yelled, getting into bed and covering your head with your hoodie. "Come in!"
It was Mattheo, the last person you expected.
"Hi." he said as he closed the door behind himself.
"Hello."
"How are you feeling?"
"Oh, I'm a little better thank you." you smiled as he looked around your room.
He noticed the books scattered around the place. Everything looked and smelled like you.
"What's this?" he said as he walked over to your table, finding the bag he gave you days ago. "Y-You didn't take the meds I gave you?"
"Um..." but you saw him rolling his eyes.
"Are you serious? I thought you were different from the others! You could have told me, I know I am the Dark Lord's son! But I am not like him!"
"What?" you asked, confused.
"For fucks sake! You didn't take these because you hate me just like the others right?!" he yelled before running towards the door but you were also fast. You grabbed his arm and turned him towards you. He was angry.
"I-that's not why. I don't hate you." you said but he rolled his eyes.
"You don't even look sick. Did you lie to the teachers?!" he asked as he looked at your face.
The hatred in his eyes made you scared. Scared that you will lose him.
"I didn't."
"What is going on here?"
"I can't tell you and please stop yelling."
"I yell if I want to Y/N! You made me worry for you that you were sick! I got you medicine and now two days later I find out that you didn't even take them! Is this because I'm a Riddle?! Why did you lie?!"
"I didn't... I can't tell you."
"Can't tell me?! Y/N, I thought you were better than that. I thought you could see beyond a last name, not like the others. Looks I was wrong." he moved to get to the door but you stood in his way, leaning against the door, not letting him out. "Move out of my way." but you shook your head, no. "MOVE!" he yelled louder than before and it really irritated your ears. You covered your face as you slid down against the door, tears running down your face.
"I don't hate you, please don't hate me." is what you said but he yelled again, this time it was your name. And just like that, you were gone.
Mattheo's eyes nearly fell out of his head as he now saw a cat where you were previously. The cat ran under the bed and Mattheo stood there, frozen.
His brain tried to function but he just couldn't move or think.
Took him a good minute before he knelt down on the floor and looked under the bed.
"Come out please." he said with such a soft voice, it even surprised him. He tried to reach under the bed but you moved away, out of his reach. "Come on, Y/N." but you didn't budge. He let out a sigh. "I don't hate you. I really don't. I was just angry, I'm sorry for yelling. I really like you, Y/N. So, my mind went into a spiral when I thought you hated me, but I get it now, please come out." but you didn't move.
Mattheo moved to sit on the bed, deciding to give you time and space.
You moved from under the bed. Getting out and looking at him as he kept on staring at the wall. You didn't turn back, deciding to stay as a feline for now.
You jumped up on the bed and this is when he noticed you. You sat with your tail moving around you, you were thinking as well.
"I didn't know you were an animagus. I guess no one else knows." you shook your head, no. "Do the professors know?" you nodded, yes. "Ah, makes sense. You are a really cute cat you know. You look very fluffy and... sorry." He tried to reach over possibly to pet you but stopped. Still sitting on the bed, you took a deep breath before turning back.
"Please don't tell the others. They would tease and bully me." you begged as you moved closer to him. "I didn't go to classes because I can't make my tail and ears disappear," you said pointing at your head. "I'm sorry for lying. I never expected you to buy me medicine." he nodded.
"I won't tell anyone."
"I really like you too, Mattheo. I felt really bad for lying, but you understand why I couldn't tell you." he nodded before he looked at you, smiling a little.
"Your eyes are also... um... cat-like?" you let out a long sigh.
"Professor McGonagall said it is normal for a young animagus to have certain characteristics like that. Eyes are normal but ears and tail... not so much."
"I think it's cute." he reached up, touching the ears on top of your head. "Would you purr if I scratched here?"
"No, I bite."
"You are not a nice kitty then." he smirked and you smiled.
"I don't plan on being one." you played along with him and it made him smile. "I am a very bad kitty especially when someone who isn't my boyfriend touches me."
"Oh, you have a boyfriend now?"
"I do."
"Lucky fella."
"Yeah, he brings me medicine when I'm sick but he is rather bothered by his last name."
"I'm not! People are." you smiled as you moved even closer to him, and he moved his arm around you. "I'll try and get you some notes from classes." his hand ran up and down your back, it found your tail as he flinched away a little but you moved it back to his hand.
"Next time, please don't yell at me. I hate it when people argue and my hearing is sensitive."
"Sorry, Darling." a comfortable silence filled the room. "I'm glad you are not sick at least. I was rather worried."
"I still have a tail and ears..."
"They are at least cute." you looked at him before moving your head to his neck.
"You are cute." you said as you yawned a little.
"So... should I leave before your boyfriend comes back?"
"He is a big scary Slytherin so... you might want to." you smiled as you moved back to sit.
"As soon as your ears have disappeared, I will take you on a date."
"We don't have to wait! I can wear my hat!" you smiled as he watched your eyes shine. He gave you a nod before you jumped off the bed and ran to the bathroom.
"Kitten, take it slow please, I still have a class."
"Oh... will you skip?"
"I mean it is... of course I will." you smiled and resumed brushing your hair.
You were really excited about this new chapter in your life.
A boyfriend who accepts you and didn't judge you for being an animagus.

can I request an animagus!reader x platonic!Newt Scamander where the reader has just become an animagus, and Newt finds them in their animagus form (maybe a lynx or kneazle) and takes them in? He doesn’t know it’s the reader and the reader stays in animagus form to see what happens and mess with Newt
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Platonic! Newt Sacamander  x Animagus! Reader
Words: 2350
Google docs pages: 4
Warnings: None, I believe
Opening: The reader is a new kneazle animagus who gets found by Newt on accident. The reader recognizes Newt from some time ago, but decides against changing forms to see how far they could go before Newt would realise who the creature truly was.
AN// Any pronouns for reader! Haha, I didn’t even realise how much I missed writing for this man. Thank you for the request, I hope it's to your liking. (Oh, and thank you for the other requests I’ve also gotten, I’ll get to those as soon as I can! ^^)
                                  “Are you lost?”
You hadn't meant to change forms now, but after completing some…unofficial work as some might call it, you had to make sure no one was after you and it just kind of happened. Not that you hadn’t been trying to turn for the first time, you had been but without any success. There wasn’t much time to get used to the form, but you knew enough about magical creatures to pinpoint what your form might have been. It also turned out your new form was a great getaway, especially from places where there were kneazles roaming around anyway. No one would pay no mind to your escape.
Only, while checking that no one was after you, a man passing by noticed you. You being too busy frantically looking around caused you to not notice him though. This allowed him to get rather close, but far enough to not be able to touch you. The surprise of a wizard staring at you caught you off guard, and as much as you’d hate to admit it, a hiss left your muzzle. Your movements, as far as you knew, weren't too graceful either, most likely resembling an injured animal rather than a kneazle used for guarding. The man took a respectful step back, kneeling down to your level. You stared back at him with a fierce expression, trying your best to scare him away. Surely, like most people, he knew that the kneazles around here were used as guardians. For all he knew, he could have gotten attacked by you, not that you’d do that to him of course. Your speckled fur rose up, big ears pinning back as you showed your sharp teeth to him. The man didn’t seem afraid, even more oddly…he seemed to try and relax even more. At this point, you knew that even a real kneazle would have come to the conclusion that this man was to be trusted, but you were no house pet. You didn’t need to be taken back to your home, you didn’t even live here. No matter how kind this man was. But he did seem insistent on trying to get your trust, for whatever reason that may have been for.
Newt offered out his hand. The kneazle seemed more scared to him rather than trying to chase him away. This kept him persistent on trying again, thinking that the creature might have been hurt for the way it was moving. “Did you get lost? You’re quite far from home, if you did.” He smiled, keeping his hand out before his eyes lit up. “Would you like a treat?” He kept speaking in a calm tone, not wishing to scare you.
It was when he had begun to speak that the realisation had hit you. The wizard trying to get you to come to him was someone who you had met briefly before. Newt Scamander, you remember his name being. That must have been why he seemed so calm around you, ignoring any warning signs that you had given him. It now felt like he knew how to handle your form better than you yourself. Embarrassing, but thankfully you’d never have to admit that to him…
The realisation must have calmed the way you looked, and the wizard had taken that as a ‘yes’ to his offer. You watched as Newt opened the briefcase he always carried with him, putting it against a corner of a house. The place was so far on the edge of the living area, no one ever came there. Except for you and him it seemed.
Keeping your eyes on the man, you saw him climb into the briefcase, soon a hand poking out as if the wizard was inviting you to join him. Reluctantly you took a couple of steps closer, looking down into the briefcase. It seemed like a house, not even a small one that was. At the bottom of the ladder you saw Newt again, he was holding a piece of meat in his hand which he showed to you and then placed down on a table, coming back to the end of the ladder. He held out his arms, asking for you to come down. He did still believe you had just gotten lost, but perhaps you could have some fun before ultimately you’d have to reveal yourself to him. Before that though, you’d have to figure out how to turn back…
With that, you stepped down and allowed Newt to catch you. You looked around the briefcase as the wizard set you down and held out the treat yet again, lowering it to you. The thought of eating in your animagus form almost made you recoil but if that was what had to be done in order for your plan to work, you’d do it. You took the rather small piece of meat from him, munching it away while he leaned on a table. When your eyes travelled back to him, he seemed to be thinking.
Thinking of what to do with you now. It was getting quite late, and he didn’t want to bother the residents at night by knocking on their doors, asking if someone had lost their kneazle. Which meant he’d either have to let you wander the night alone or keep you in the briefcase until the sun rose up again. Which of he chose the latter, of course. “Right, I suppose you’re going to have to stay with me. It’s okay, we’ll find your home tomorrow.” He smiled with the same gentle smile you had seen before and reached down to you. Newt waited for you to sniff his hand, as if letting you recheck if you trusted him before he allowed himself to pet your head briefly.
A gush of air hit your face as Newt pushed himself away from the table, and walked to the kitchen, continuing on to a place in the ‘house’ that you had heard animalistic noises from, your heightened senses allowing you to smell other creatures in that area. With cautious steps you followed along, watching as he fed the other creatures. You knew he was well informed on magical creatures, and it showed. All the creatures had their own assigned habitats, and Newt seemed to know exactly how much and what to feed them. Heck, as far as you knew he was treating you like you had read all kneazles should be treated. It rather warmed your heart to see him care for the creatures so deeply, even if some may have claimed them as dangerous and as something to never go near.
Though, the feeding meant that you had time to explore without his attention being on you. Your paws turned, trotting back to the kitchen area where after some thinking you decided to jump on the counter. It wasn’t a graceful jump, and as much as you’d hate to admit it, you did have to drag yourself up to be able to fully stand up. While walking to the other side of it, you made note of what had been on it. As you were about to jump down the sound of footsteps on the wooden floor almost echoed in your ears before you could cast a look towards the man. He seemed almost just as surprised to see you on the counter, a playful smile on his face as he got closer. “Be careful, I haven’t yet checked you for injuries!” You jumped down, running away but not far enough to not hear him. “Hm, were you looking for food as well?” Newt’s voice spoke again as he made sure that nothing on the counter was broken. “Come on then, you’ll get some too.” He hummed, seemingly happy to have a visitor.
You had made your way to where the habitats were, eyes wide as your much smaller form marched past huge creatures, some you had never even seen before. While in your thoughts something had managed to sneak up on you, tugging your tail for a few times. A rather rough hiss came from you while turning around, finding a small, almost blue-ish creature sitting behind you. As soon as it saw the opportunity, which was the clear confusion on your face, it scattered away. Your gaze followed it run and get picked up by Newt. The expression on his face looked as if even without seeing he knew the creature must have met you. “You met Teddy, then?” The creature named ‘Teddy’ climbed onto his shoulder, not keeping it safe for much longer as Newt picked you up as well, carrying you as he walked.
You didn’t look, but you felt his eyes on you every now and then. As if he was thinking about something, making notes of your behaviour.
The wizard had heard the rather odd hiss coming from you earlier. He had his doubts about you, thinking that maybe you lacked some of the high intelligence the kneazle usually had or perhaps it was something else making him suspicious of you…or perhaps you were just injured. Either way, he set you down, you only now noticing he had brought you back into the kitchen. “Be careful around the habitats, better not get too close when they’re eating you see.” He spoke to your animagus form, as if you’d understand. Of course you did, but he didn’t know that.
A bowl was placed on the ground, slightly under the table so he wouldn’t accidentally step on it or kick it while walking by. “There you go.” Another smile. While sniffing the food, you could feel his eyes examine your form, but he couldn’t find any signs of bruises or injuries.  With that he retreated himself to his room, and as if no time had passed the sounds of writing began to chime from behind the curtain he seemed to use as a door.
You were not eating again. Not in this form at least. Though, you were getting thirsty but there was absolutely no way you’d be able to turn on the faucet without him noticing. So it became a waiting game. Waiting until he’d fall asleep and you could figure out how to turn back to your human form.
Eventually the waiting paid off. The noises of writing and pages being turned stopped and you could have sworn you heard the bed sheets move as he settled down. Some of the creatures had calmed down as well it seemed, even better for you.
With a couple of careful glances to your sides and a long sigh, you sat down and closed your eyes. What felt like hours of concentrating worked, you were back to your human form. It felt oddly nice to be standing on two legs, to be able to reach the countertop without having to jump on top of it. Though, the first couple of steps you took were clumsy.
You opened some of the cabinets and soon found a glass which you filled with water a couple of times and drank. To your fortune and maybe to Newt's misfortune he had left some bread on the counter as well, a night snack for you.
While working on preparing some food for yourself, someone had woken up. He was staring at you from the corner of his bedroom and it didn’t take long until you could feel eyes on your back. Assuming it was either the ‘Teddy’ creature or one of the free roaming bird-like ones, you turned around calmly only to find Newt staring at you. You froze and it almost felt like time had done the same, but the environment soon warmed up as Newt laughed gently. “I thought there was something odd about the kneazle I rescued.” He walked closer, leaning on the kitchen table. He seemed calm enough on the outside, but you still felt the need to apologise. “I- I’m sorry, Newt. I should probably leave, I know you don’t like-” The stutter mixed ramble was interrupted by Newt putting his hand up. “It’s quite alright. Only a surprise to meet you again like this.” He spoke, a hint of awkwardness in his voice but he seemed to hide it well. “You never told me you were an animagus?” He asked, Newt's voice now filled with interest as he got to bring up the topic of magical creatures once more. “Not necessarily a registered one, so I don’t tend to bring it up…” You grinned a little awkwardly, scratching the back of your neck as you retreated from the countertops and seated yourself around the kitchen table. “Ah, I see. I’m assuming you don’t use the form often then either?” Newt hummed, taking your earlier spot. “ He reached into the cabinets. “O-oh, no. I- This was actually the first time it worked.” You said, knowing your clumsy movements in the form must have seemed odd to Newt. The wizard’s eyes moved back to you, slight worry mixed with interest in his eyes. “Are you feeling alright?” The question slipped from him so suddenly. You blinked a couple of times. “Oh yes, I suppose. Got some getting used to, I suppose.” You tried to smile, only now feeling the exhaustion from the changes. Newt took a moment to say anything. “Would you like some tea? I was coming to make some for myself earlier but..” He smiled. You bit your inner lip in embarrassment, not letting it show. “Sure.”

WELL HELLO THERE
Pairings: Animagus!George Weasley x fem! Summary: George is too nervous to talk to you, so he finds another way to be with you Warnings: Mention of a cut. Notes: I might do another one where he's a different animal. or I'll do Fred. i just wanted to write him as a doggy Animagus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
George wanted nothing more than to talk to you.
you were on his mind every minute of the day.
from staring at the back of your head in transfiguration, looking at you in the great hall at meals and searching for you in the halls.
he was infatuated with you, and he wanted to be able to talk to you, but when he tried yesterday, it didn't go so well..
you were both in potions, brewing up something George doesn't even remember
-
you were both at the same table, reading from the book, measuring and cutting the ingredients for the potion.
"excuse me? hi, can I borrow that?" he looked up from his book and looked at you, his mouth slightly open
"me?" he muttered nervously
"yeah, I just need to-" you said, holding your hand out as you pointed to the knife
"-yeah here you go" he cut you off, picking the knife up and handing it to you. accidentally cutting your hand as he held it out from the handle
you winced in pain "shit" you whispered
"merlin, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I'm really sorry-" he panicked before his potion exploded in his face
he stirred to many times.
he wiped his eyes with his sleeve, his eyes landing on you, your hand closed in a fist to stop the bleeding and Snape beside you, glaring at him
"50 points from Gryffindor" he announced "detention Mister Weasley"
George sighed as Snape walked away. he looked back at you
"I'm really sorry" he repeated himself to you.
"it's fine" he heard you mumbled
-
after that class, George knew he wouldn't be able to talk to you, he'd be too embarrassed and scared that you'd walk away from him, angry or upset at him
he didn't mean to hurt you. he was just shocked and excited to talk to you.
but he didn't want to give up.
-
George was in Hogsmeade, going to buy some sweets and go to the joke shop when he saw you, walking towards the woods.
it was clear as day so he didn't think anything would be in there to hurt you, but he insisted on following you in.
the snow covered the trees and fell onto his sweater, decorating it with little white dots as he followed you.
he watched as you turned around abruptly, hearing something behind you.
he hid behind the massive tree and held him breath, waiting a moment before looking back.
you could hardly see the roofs of the small town anymore, but you didn't go too far in.
he stayed a good distance away from you as you walked, finding a tree and sitting down, leaning against it as you fished a book out of your bag.
he admired you as you started reading it.
he wanted to go to you, but he couldn't. and if he went back, you would probably find him and call him out for stalking you. he didn't want to make a fool out of himself again, but he would hate to be made out as a creep for following you.
but then he remembered what he was able to do and smiled.
-
you smiled as you read your book, it was pretty good so far, and the quiet was nice. you couldn't get it anywhere else.
then you heard a shuffle. you looked up, not expecting anything, it was probably snow falling from a branch.
but there it was. a big ball of brown and white fluff.
it barked at you
you tilted your head. and it tilted it's head back, making you smile.
it barked again, coming closer, it's ears flopping as it trotted its way over to you. you put your book down and held your hand out for it
"well hello there" you beamed as it sniffed your hand before leaning into it
"where's your owner?" you asked, looking around. it barked again, sitting up proudly.
you noticed there wasn't a collar on it's neck
"you're a stray" you frowned
you shifted in your place and patted your lap
"c'mere"
it hurried onto your lap. licking your hand as you held your hand out to pat it's head
you loved dogs. especially fluffy ones. Hermione once got you a book on dogs and you leaned a lot about them.
so you recognised the breed as a newfoundland. and you realised it was a boy
"aren't you a cutie?" you giggled and he snuggled up to your lap.
he barked again. his paw grabbing your hand. you flipped it over and held it out to him, he whimpered, looking at the bandage covering your palm.
he looked up at you, his brown eyes were gentle
"what's wrong buddy?" you furrowed your eyebrows
he looked back to your hand and resting his head in the warmth of your palm.
he was quite small for his breed, so you knew he was a pup. he was still big for a pup but that breeds sizes are really big.
he got up and shook it's body, the snow flying of his fur. making you giggle as he panted.
he sat beside you again and barked
"what do you want buddy?" you asked it
he only barked again. you looked around you and noticed a stick underneath you bag.
"here, go fetch" you picked it up and threw it away.
he ran after it and came back to give it back, the drool coating the stick
you grimaced as you picked it up again and threw it away again.
you stood up as he ran after it again.
he came back and dropped at at your feet, smiling up at you. his tail wagging vigorously
you both played for a while until you realised it was getting dark.
"I gotta go buddy" you said, picking up your bag as looking down at him, you leaned down and pat his head.
"see ya buddy" you smiled before he whimpered
you shivered as you began to walk away, hearing his bark sadly
but you had to get back.
so did he
as you were out of sight, George trotted over to the big tree and hid behind it. putting his clothes back on quickly to avoid the cold.
-
the next week at Hogsmeade you found him again and you played with him the whole time.
you found a liking to the dog, and you wished you could keep him, but you can't keep a stray.
especially with the size he'll go to.
you were sitting by the black lake, looking out at the frozen water when you heard a bark. you looked over and saw buddy. which is what you decided to call him.
"hi buddy" you smiled at him, letting him drop his head to your lap
you pat his head, letting his fur tickle your fingers.
"where do you go when you're without me?" you ask him rhetorically.
"do you have a family? Friends or maybe a mate?" you questioned.
he whimpered, his tail slightly wagging
"I hear ya." you felt kind of silly talking to a dog so casually, but he was like a friend to you
"I mean, there is this one guy" you mentions and his head perked up, it was little things like that that made you believe he was really listening to you
"I tried talking to him a few weeks ago, it didn't go so well though" you sighed, looking at the small scar on your palm.
"he stabbed me, but it's fine, I forgive him, he didn't mean to- I hope" you continued, his tail stopping wagging like he was alert of something
you suddenly remembered you had to help McGonagall with something so you stood up suddenly, grabbing your things
"merlin, McGonagall is gonna be so mad" you cursed to yourself.
you quickly started running up to the castle, leaving him there by the lake, shocked.
you turned to look back to see him a little far behind you, walking behind a tree, you tilted your head and walked closer as you noticed he didn't come out the other side
your mind was probably playing tricks on you, but you wanted to make sure he was ok
when you were about to turn to the other side of the tree you bump into a tall, lanky figure. you back up and look at him weirdly
"where the hell did you come from?" you asked, shaken up by surprise
"i was sitting here, decided it was getting late" he responded quickly, seeming tense
you raised an eyebrow curiously "did you see a dog-"
"-no" he cut you off to reply shortly
you observed his figure carfully.
his hair was messy and his clothes were crinkled lightly sprinkled by brown fur, his pants looking a bit damp from the snow. you met his eyes. his gentle brown eyes.
you furrowed your eyebrows at the familiarity of them before stepping back from him.
he looked nervous and sort of weak. he looked away from you
"you should probably hurry, don't want McGonagall to be mad at you" he said.
"yeah, right, shit" you mumbled, turning away to go and run off before your feet stopped in it's tracks
"wait a minute" you said, turning around only for him to be gone.
you rolled your eyes and rushed up to the castle, deciding to bring it up next time you see him.
-
the next couple weeks you didn't see the dog or George anywhere
until you went to Hogsmeade again. you hadn't visited the town in a few weeks due to studying. so now you can see what new fills the shelves of the sweet shop and what new books there are.
you walked around the town, and sat down by a bench, pulling out a sweet from Honeydukes and re-read the blurb of your new book.
you heard a bark from behind you.
after your last encounter with the dog and George, you had a few suspicions. which is why the book you just bought was about animagi.
you put the book in your bag and looked down at the dog
"well hello there, long time no see" you smiled, patting his head
you got up and starting heading towards to woods, where you first met the dog
"wanna play fetch?" you asked him, making him wag his tail
you picked up a stick and threw it as far as you could.
it came back and looked up at you. his brown eyes begging for you to pick up and throw the stick again
but you didn't. you stood still looking at the dog with a frown on your face
and you decided to reach into your hair and take out the ribbon, taking his paw and wrapping it around his wrist. smiling at him.
"I'll see you next week bud" you said, scratching his ear, making his head lean towards your hand
you got your bag and walked away from him, going back to the castle where you waited for George to come into the common room.
-
he eventually did. he was wearing his Weasley sweater with the letter G knitted on it with brown pants on. but you noticed the bright red ribbon wrapped on his wrist
"that's a nice ribbon" you complimented him suddenly, his body froze as he looked at you
"where'd you get it?" you asked him, your lips turned up to a slight smile
"Ginny" he replied softly
you stood up and raised your eyebrows at him "really?"
he avoided your eyes. he knew you were clueing onto him.
and when he noticed the book on the arm of the couch. the word Animagi on the cover he knew you had caught him
he stood there, silent as you smiled
"how'd you figure it out?" he whispered
"Your eyes" you answered him. he went quiet again, shying away from you
"why didn't you just talk to me, you didn't have to- you know" you chuckled
"I was nervous. you wouldn't've pushed me away this way" he frowned
"you're not registered, are you?" you questioned him lowly
he shook his head
"you know what they'll do to you if people find out, right?" you blinked, worry laced in your tone
"I know. please-"
"-I won't" you cut him off. shaking your head, he let out a sigh and looked at his wrist.
"you should be careful. and am i wrong to assume Fred is one too?" you told him
he only nodded his head
"so do you wanna actually talk, not just throw a stick around and chase it?" you asked "and maybe you could actually take me to Hogsmeade, not just follow me into the woods"
"yeah, yeah that sounds good to me" he nodded vigorously
you smiled
"would you like a sweet?" you looked at the handful of candy from Honeydukes
"sure, gimme a butterscotch, Please"
