I can't stop thinking about the MHA Spider-Verse AU so I'm just gonna make mini points about it:

- okay I don't have all the details but Izuku meets All Might the same time as the canon and AM dies from AFO and his quirk/invention that brings other OFA users to Izuku's dimension

- Perhaps AFO wants to take back OFA not only in his dimension but in every other one as well

- And ofc the whole world finds out that the great All Might is dead along with his true identity Toshinori Yagi, the world's only OFA user was killed and now Izuku is left with a quirk he can't control

- So Izuku's hoplessly left without his teacher before he bumps into old grumpy sweatpants All Might!! Izuku realizes with joy that he's not the only one

- This version of All Might was going through it for a long time, his back story is similar to canon AM but he's more hopeless he doesn't see the point in passing on OFA he's accepted his fate that he'll die gruesomely in a battle but he still powers through

- But ofc!! He bumps into Izuku who pleads with All Might to be his teacher so he can be his universe's OFA user, chaos ensues from there ✨

- Other OFA users will be brought from other dimensions and I'm thinking one could be Mirio from a dimension where AM ends up giving OFA to him, another is Nana from a universe where she doesn't pass it down to AM, and then possibly Bakugo and Uraraka where AM never knew Izuku

- Basically all the other universes where OFA could've been passed down in many different ways

- Throughout the journey Izuku learns how to better handle OFA but he's doubting himself desperately asking All Might when he knows he'll be ready and ofc All Might says he won't, it's a leap of faith

- Then ofc Izuku has his own 'What's Up Danger' scene ✨ and joins the other OFA users in defeating AFO, cementing that in every universe no matter what AFO will always lose

- All Might is so proud of Izuku having grown a lot closer to the boy and thinks that maybe having a successor wouldn't be so bad, before he goes back to his own dimension Izuku tells AM to see if he has his own Deku in his universe

- Just as a little bonus cuz I love Toshinko 🫶 I wanna add to All Might's stress and give him relationship problems, back in his universe he was with Inko but ofc hero work got too dangerous plus she wanted kids and that scared him a bit, so they thought it best to separate

- He ends up bumping into her anyway although it's not in his own dimension, it shocked the hell out of him finding out that she's Izuku's mother but seeing her again just brought all the emotions back

- It further cemented his feelings for her and after growing close to Izuku and feeling better about raising a successor he thinks maybe kids aren't so bad after all, he decides to give his relationship another chance once he's back home 🫶

AU WHERE Deku gets sent to Miles' home dimension and Miles 'Fanboy' Morales loses his mind over meeting his favorite anime character of all-time because, apparently, word-of-mouth is that the extremely rare collectible in Miles’ room is modeled after a Deku figure.

Deku: "Hi! I don't know I got here but I'm here and you look like you need help."

Miles: "HI I’M A HUGE SPIDER-FAN, ahem, I mean, Spider-Man!"

personally speaking i think one of the issues MHA has is, ironically, that it emulates its inspiration well; MHA runs heavily in the direction of classic superhero comics with massive casts of characters from decades of stories creating very last universes of characters, and it's a particular problem of MHA being its own story that it kind of has too many characters to do justice with

personally if I did an AU rewrite of things, I'd probably trim down Class-A to a smaller group as Izuku's group of friends, and among other things would give Tsuyu and Shoji a lot more focus. Part of it is that I just plain like them, and also that them being mutant-types/heteromorphs who explicitly have been ostracized and rejected for their inhumans appearances gives them a sort of commonality with Deku's own issues with having been non-powered for most of his life, which gives them a kind of connection in knowing what its like to not belong, or being fundamentally different from everyone around you which in turn influences their approach to being heroes

additionally, Shoji is clearly running on the X-Men inspired theme of 'protecting a world that hates and fears you, in hope of making a better tomorrow without a cycle of hatred', and that parallels very nicely to Deku's Spider-Man aesthetics. The X-Men have traditionally been a bit distant from the rest of the Marvel universe, but Spider-Man is one of those that they associate with more often than not, so its an appropriate fit

also I just plain like Shoji and honestly prefer him and his vibe to the more human-looking characters that get a lot more screen time; I like them fine, just not as much as the sheer overwhelming nobility and heroism of a guy who nearly lost his lower jaw to hatred of the other and all it did was redouble his determination to be a hero

sometimes I mix up MH (Monster High) with MHA (My Hero Academia) so I decided to make a crossover AU between them

Alrighg, so I’ll just start with some very basic info, all of the MHA kids go to Monster High, although I think the ghouls and monsters going to UA would also be cool and I guess that could be some other AU, also don't ask me if I'll be using the G1 or G3 Monster High lore, because not even I know. Also, as for the character designs, monster high doesn't have a uniform so I’ll put the characters in their casual clothes but add elements of their hero costumes to give it a more monster high energy

• it was a little hard to think of what kind of Monster Aoyama would be since I wanted to maintain some variation of their quirks, and there aren't really any monsters that shoot lasers out of their stomach, so I decided to make him a cyborg, plus I think it would be cool if the armour and giant shades of his hero costume were part of his body

• Mina is just a straight-up alien, I mean she originally wanted her hero name to be Alien Queen, so it makes sense.

• Tsuyu is a Loveland Frogperson, of you don't know what that is, it's an American cryptid that's basically just a human-sized frog that walks on it's hind legs, so it's perfect for Tsu

• I decided to make Uraraka a ghost because not only would gravity perpetually not apply to her, but she would also have telekinesis and so, she could make gravity not apply to other things/people, which fits with both uses of her quirk

• Ojiro would basically not change at all, but I haven't really decided what specific kind of monster he would be, considering his quirk is literally just that he has a tail, IDK I'll have to get back to him

• Iida would be a steam-powered robot like Robbecca Steam, I thought of this because of the engines on his calves lol

• Kirishima would be a rock elemental, that feels really obvious

• Kaminari would be a Frankenstein's Monster like Frankie, because electricity

• I'm not really sure what species Koda would be, but then I remembered Jane Boolittle who can also talk to animals and whose species is ALSO unknown, so I thought "Eh, it's fine if I don't know because neither does Koji"

• I have no clue what Sato's species would be lol, I might have to get back to him too

• Mezo Shouji is pretty obvious, anthro octopus, maybe also like, part shapeshifter to explain how he can grow extra eyes and mouths at the ends of his limbs, maybe he's even related to Tamaki in this AU

• Jirou is a vampire, but I'm specifically more focused on the bat part than the undead part or the blood drinking part, my reason being that bats have really great hearing and can use ecolocation, plus I just want her to have really big bat ears with dangly chain earrings to stand in for her earphone jacks

• Since Sero's tape power is already supposed to be based on Spiderman's web-slinging, I've decided to make him an anthropomorphic spider like Wydonna

• Tokoyami is a bird man, not much about that changes, but as for how Dark Shadow exists, he's actually Tokoyami's twin who he absorbed in the womb (egg?) And now is sort of a ghost but was also never really alive to begin with? IDK I've seen this premise used in some Danny Phantom AUs and I couldn’t really think of any other way for Dark Shadow to exist

• Todoroki will be an anthropomorphic salamander because not only are there myths of Salamanders being birthed from flames, but there is also a real world salamander species that can turn its own blood into an antifreeze substance so that it can safely hibernate in the winter, IT’S JUST TOO PERFECT!!!

•literally nothing changes about Hagakure

• Bakugou is an anthropomorphic dragon, I know that doesn't really relate to explosions specifically but I wasn’t sure what else to do and breathing fire seemed close enough

• for Deku I was originally gonna make him human, but I thought of something infinitely funnier; he's half merman half centaur and inherited the human half from both of his parents

• I had a hard time coming up with something for Momo, but my friend suggested to make her a Demon because demons can create stuff out of thin air sometimes (and NO, her creations will not be coming out of her boobs in this AU, I am well aware of how often both demons and Momo Yaoyorozu are sexualized and I don't want to do that here, she'll just use her horns to make stuff)

• Shinsou as a siren feels like the most natural creature for him to be, especially since not only is he using a power that comes from his voice to make people do things they normally wouldn't, but sirens are typically seen as the evil counterpart to mermaids, much like how everyone perceives Shinsou's quirk as inherently villainous, so it fits really perfectly

Honestly? I'll never write this, so here are some details for your mind to connect in whatever great story your imagination provides:

In this story there are really not heroes per se but time traveling agents (yet their work has the same basics as the pro-heroes in bnha).

The only reason the hero society is called so it's because it came from the HERE/ZERO reference: the name of the main timeline, the "real" world. Since they didn't want people from other timelines / worlds to bridge theirs, the people from the HERE/ZERO world uses hero as code to let others know where they're from— in a very subtly way.

That being said, the first heroes changed the other timelines a lot. The same fashion as in Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse, okay? It was not a big deal since 1) the first heroes realized no one who was not at their level of timetraveling would really notice and 2) some of them bowed to fix those mistakes. That's how the agents came to be.

Traditionally, heroes are those dedicated to protect the HERE-0 world and their people, while the agents would keep the heroes in check. In other words, people like Hawks and Lady Nagant would do anything to keep the HERE-0 timeline clean, even killing any hero to fix timeline tamperings, mess themselves with other timelines and erase evidence.

There's no hero academy or school in this au. Once teens have hit their 16th birthday, they are free to check in any agency and test their TTC percentage (time traveling compatibility) to see if they are hero material. A percentage lower than 70% has you immediately out for hero job. Yet, teens between the 50% and the 70% can reapply to the test with 21 years old.

The TTC test is basically a rite of passage for this universe. The 10% type are even almost extinct. Which means that anyone between the 30% and the 50% can still apply for the less risky less exciting time traveling jobs, like cleaning the arrival spots of heroes, working on the health/medical sector, being staff for some of the institutions, etc. Those between the 10% and the 30% are common citizens.

And then there's Deku, a rare 5%. Unknown to him, his display at Bakugo's rescue earn him the interest of the hero society board. 10% and lower are rares, yes, but since they can time travel under any circumstances, it makes them the perfect crew for vigilating. Simple explanation: unless you were to alter the 80% of their constitution on an atomical level, not even an outsider could kidnap them to another timeline/universe. Some of them retain only the knowledge of their original world, meaning they can perfectly spot when a hero has fucked up an altered the timeline.

No one tells Deku this.

He is given a one-in-a-million opportunity to join the very first stage of the hero society by training to become a security guard at the time jail facilities. Normally not even heroes with years of experience are allowed there, so the newest hero bunch is crazy jealous (read Bakugo) and curious (read the rest). Aizawa knows there's something wrong cooking with all of it, but he can't override All Might's (who started the same as Deku before the big OFA event) or the hero society board.

Aaaand maybe I'll write a Part II because there are more details about the villains, how they ended up there and how exactly AFO fits in all of these.

I have a little fun-intro thing in the works, and what my idea is, is that perhaps, whether knowingly or not, All Might is the one who bestows the spider & abilities onto Deku. However I want it to be a mix of

A. How OFA was supposed to go to Mirio and was never supposed to be Midoriya’s to hold and B. Referencing how Miles was never supposed to be bit in his universe

Not to mention the dual theme of anyone can be a hero 😳😳😳

Who knows if it’ll stay like that or if I’ll expand on this more but 😋😋, cause the ideas are surely swirling

So I have a question. I am debating on adding another side blog to this account, much like my Chai account.

Recently I been roleplaying on Discord and creating AUs, and one really got me going and curious to write for, but I wasn't sure how good it would be for a public setting.

Watching Across the Spider-verse has really motivated me to write Spider-Man content, but I wasn't just thinking of Spider-Man alone. I was thinking of the concept of Spider-Deku. Basically, if Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia got spider powers. Why him? I honestly don't know. I think the fan art of that concept is really cool, and I feel the world of MHA is limiting with being super heroes hiding identities.

I always thought it would be cool to write that with others. But I am not sure if anyone would be into that. It wouldn't take place in My Hero, at least without plotting. What do you all think?

Only hanahaki I ever read, only one I probs ever will. Love the way suffocatingspring writes but their depiction of deku is still a bit too fragile for my liking but wtvs I'm not complaining when they're doing all the work. Anyways, solid fic and its nice and slow burn but not really and steamy and so so angsty and yeah.

Anyways, I really liked this. I thought it was pretty funny, good banter, top baku, flustered mess deku so ticks pretty much all my boxes. Definitely made one of my miserable nights less miserable.

OOOkay so I have some things to say about this one. I wish I could remember more of it so I could give you more reason to read it but honestly I couldn't even tell myself why I liked it so much. I've got a personal google doc which my only comment for this fic when I read it was "I just creamed" so if thats anything to go by...

I ditched this fic in the middle because bakugou got all pussy and I hate when he pulls that shit so I couldn't read on, but then I picked it back up in the future and bakuno became bakuhoe and fucked the brains out of izuku so I let it slide. All I really remember was them having hot phone sex, maddening sexual tension, funny banter and a good underlying plot too. So read it, maybe?

But Katsuki wasn't expecting Deku to already be living with someone.

Let me just establish one thing: I fucking hate the single dad trope. Now let me re-establish one thing: I fucking hated the single dad trope, until I read this fic. I know its a good one when I genuinely laugh out loud and boy did this fic have me cackling. Bakugou was nice, cocky and confident and knew how to get his sweet little deku flustered like it was his goddamn job. Hot. Ultimately cute fic: pretty good banter and characterisation!
