POPPY! the happiest troll of all, and they used to be so inseparable, and even if they werent "official" poppy at LEAST had a crush on him and he KNEW ABOUT IT! but now its nothing! he has no one. he was willing to kill everyone he ever knew and loved, and as a result, he is dead to all of them.

did the previous happen, BUT he somehow got away from chef? whether he escaped, or she died, or maybe she gave up and let him go but i dont think that ones likely. he would, again, have to wander the woods before returning to civilisation. he no longer has the trauma of being eaten by a monster 500x his size, but he DOES have the trauma of being tortured by a monster 20x his size, on top of being almost eaten by a monster 10x his size. hes been through a lot, and he deserves every last bit of it

did any of the others happen, except instead of being allowed back into the village (whether they actually wanted him back, or they tolerated him because hes no longer dangerous) hes still banished? they dont let him back into the village, into his old pod. maybe they give him a tent, theyre not heartless, but they send him back on his way. maybe branch gives him an old book of safe forageables, not out of the goodness of his heart but to gloat, that now CREEK is the lonely ostracised hermit and BRANCH is beloved by the community and the queen. Ok so ik ive been inactive for a *WHILE* and im srry for that but like i have a buncha things that happened these past 3 months that I NEED To share SOOOO....

First things first, the one im most excited abt: I DID MY FIRST PERFORMANCE!!! My school was doing little mermaid jr and I got Scuttle! I was really happy to get my first role and getting at least one solo, and Im just happy overall on how it went! I think I did really good on my first try! Only bad thing was that now im kinda going through my lil mermaid hyperfixation and have been looking up fics where Sebastian and Ariel kinda have a Father/Parental Figure-Daughter or Older Brother-Younger (stupid but ultimately well meaning) Sister dynamic and have started to write a fic on that bc no ones done it before apparently😒(im going cray cray, bonkers mayhaps)

Might've gotten my eye infected(I live in the east of the us, new york to be more specific and woke up the day after the "live vintage (BLAME CANADA/j) filter" with my right eyes nerves slightly more irritated and haven't gotten that checked out so thats fun)

FINALLY finished that one drawing ive been making for 3 MONTHS.(well, technically....)

Almost done writing my passion project, AKA the one I originally wanted to make into an animated series but have settled for a book just in case that can't happen! I still need to work out some kinks, design more outfits, get all their personalities in check, make sure the world and magic is fully fleshed out, ect.

I also do band, and while I originally thought that I would have a problem bc of both band and theatres close scheduling(i originally had dress rehearsal on june 2nd, AND my band concert on June 2nd) but it all worked out in the end! My band concert went great, and while the dress rehearsal was a mess, we at least got through it! :)

Unintentionally quit SH! I was originally only meant to stop until AFTER performances, but ive been bettering myself and learned that if I ever want to forgive myself or at least move on I gotta stop feeling sorry for myself and not forget nor forgive, but remember, i just can't let it haunt me. I know I'll relapse, I always do eventually, but I want to enjoy these few moments of mental "clarity" while I can. I've also learned that for some reason i tend to become a more terrible person and despicable person the more time I spend at home with my mother, so that's fun. God, I hate America's education system, its messed me up BAD. AND the foster care system. I just tried to kms 2 times today, and she didn't even notice, or care. How sad is that?

On a lighter note, yes, as the rest of yt and TikTok, I got a minor lil hyperfixation on the Lorax and really think ppl should make more [PLATONIC] Lorax and Onceler dynamics, mainly the type where they're like some really annoying pair of bickering siblings or a father whos sick of his adopted child's shit, like there is so much on the table for platonic fluff and angst and most of what I've seen is romantic smut and fluff like CHANGE IT UP A LIL

Also, Ive been going to karaoke centers on Tuesdays and have become a lot more confident to performing in front of ppl! So far, I've performed "All You Wanna Do", "The Ballad of Jane Doe", "Heart of Stone", and am gonna do "What the World Needs" the next upcoming Tuesday, where I'm gonna try interacting with the audience while singing!!

(Also, before I end this....I may have ADHD??? my teacher who has ADHD says some of my behavior is "similar to hers"(i feel like thats just her way of saying i reek of neurodivergency) and I also did some research and I display similar/exact behaviors listed, have taken online tests from doctorate confirmed sites and basically all of them said to go get a diagnosis. I also found I do a few behaviors similar to stimming! Also also, I kinda suspect a lil more bc my mom has Autism and apparently sometimes neurodivergency is biological (i forgor the word) but my mom is kinda in denial abt my Depression diagnosis and thinks I got anxiety "biologically", so if I tell her I wanna get tested for ADHD shes just kinda gonna gaslight me into not believing that and i already told the school therapist and basically she just told me that I'm probably just imagining things or copying behaviors from my mother and that "kids like to give themselves all these titles nowadays" so I just did what I always do which is to keep it shut and act until they think you fell in line)

funny story about this line, it used to drive me insane before chapter 33 explained it. before chapter 33, joyce's origin was very vague, there were implications that he just. didnt exist prior to the first eruption but we never got a proper confirmation until recently!

in bronya's words, "the consciousness known as Welt Joyce did not exist in this world prior to the first eruption." hes sort of similar to elysia and the herrscher of sentience (you could argue somewhere in between?), where he was a being born from honkai itself, rather than a human corrupted by the honkai. still, there are some vague connections between him and karl gustav, einstein's former teacher and psychologist, but honestly i dont feel like explaining all of that rn. curse you honkai moon arc and your unnecessarily confusing writing.

Despite that, he always smiled at the world, picking up broken fragments of souls from raging fires and abandoned ruins again and again.

this is just a first eruption description. he collected the fragmented souls and thoughts of the 300k victims of the berlin eruption, again and again, knowing that it was all in vain. he wanted to be a hero but he couldn't. he wanted to bring them salvation but he was not a savior. the "he always smiled at the world" line is also something id want to point out, brings another parallel to elysia. there may be some significance in how he was the first herrscher to choose humanity after elysia, making him the first recipient of her blessing. i hate this game frfr

oh boy! i think there's a double meaning!

the obvious first meaning is the connection to the first eruption. "the butterfly fell on your fingertips. you repaired its wings." the butterfly escaped death thanks to joyce, yada yada

second meaning makes you look deeper. i could argue that the butterfly here could represent joyce himself, the "courageous butterfly" who escaped his destined path as a herrscher to fight for humanity. butterflies also represent rebirth (possibly going back to his connection with karl but again thats very vague) and new beginnings (joyce "starting anew" after meeting ein and tesla)

i think it wouldn't be too far fetched to say joyce could be represented by this butterfly, bronya did compare joyce to seele back in chapter 28 so maybe im not completely insane

heres another line that dealt high emotional damage to me. you know i was going crazy trying to figure out what that quote meant only to reread the ae vn randomly one day and. and its just a quote from ein. its just from ein.

this is a fan translation, so its not consistent, but i actually went to check the chinese version of the lore description and visual novel, and its actually word for word! this line also calls back to the line "he always smiled at the world" from earlier, in a way. as for "The world told him," this could have multiple meanings

ein was welt's "world" - the most obvious explanation. makes sense considering ein was the one who gave him his name and his first "real" friend

ein represented welt's "world" - similar to number 1 except less direct, imo this is more likely. ein, a human from "the world" said this to welt, a herrscher and outcast of the world

this is a mistranslation, the correct translation is "The one who called him the world told him," - also one of the most likely ones, according to a japanese user on twitter, this should be the correct translation, but im not sure if this is how its actually translated in jp. this one's a lot more direct and obvious, ein literally called him the world

now onto the skill names

first skill: Freedom Trail

ein, tesla, and joyce first found the star of eden after following the freedom trail and listening to HA. pretty straightforward

second skill: Ulysses

it may be pretty well known that welt got his name from ein, but tesla was actually the one who gave joyce his last name! she based it off of James Joyce, author of Ulysses. fitting for a bookworm like joyce, haha

third skill: Danny Boy

ohhhh this one hurt. oh i got so caught off guard by this one. i had to process it for multiple minutes when i saw it. it seems humorous out of context but i swear its sad

in the visual novel, an old folk song called "oh danny boy" pops up a lot. its a song sung by karl and emma to ein and one of the last memories ein has of her old friend karl. joyce himself also knew the song, likely bc of his connection to karl, and he and ein sung it together in this very nice scene between them. wow it really hurt when they called back to that moment,,,,

okay ngl with the pics you posted it does give young teacher vibes BUT there's nothing wrong with that at all! DISCLAIMER CHAPTER 299-300

This is a vent against Endeavor not to Endeavor stans!!!

Now I understand why some would like Endeavor because of his character development and I agree! He has changed alot compared to the beginning of the manga/anime. However, he may have changed now but that does not mean that disregards his past consequences and that he is a totally good person now.

What I mean is that he realizes that his past actions (physical,mental, and emotional abuse) were wrong was when he finally got what wanted and that was to be better than All Might and be the Number 1 hero.

I believe that Endeavor fully comprehends the extent of his torture and abuse on his victims (his family). From what I know so far, and correct me if I'm wrong, the only two people Endeavor apologizes to about his abuse was Shoto which was about 3 sentences and Natsuo which was a couple of pages. He never apologized to Fuyumi and as an "apology" to Rei he sends her favorite flowers to the mental institute where she resides in thanks to his abuse. (Sarcasm inserted: Hey sorry for making you go mentally insane and almost burning Shotos eye off, flower?)

Whats worse was that he disregarded and complete forgot all about the abuse he put Touya threw until he wakes up from his coma in the hospital. And even then he doesn't fully remember what he did to him.

He may have changed now but this chapter shows Endeavors ignorance to the situation and how he is undeserving of the luck he was bestowed (which is now biting him in the butt tbh).

And I agree with Natsuo when asks Endeavor "Why are you crying?" Why is Endeavor crying? Is it that he regrets what he did to Touya? To his family? But what is it for Endeavor to regret? What happened now are the consequences of his abuse. His family is torn and now he lost all trust from the public along with his family happiness. Rei even confronts him on the fact and tells him that he does not and cannot compare and feel the same pain they feel when hearing that Touya was a villain. And that's sadly true. Endeavor may regret his actions, bit its not enough for him to know how his own family members are feeling. They were close to Touya, they were his family with little connection. Hence why Dabi was kinder to his mother and sent her a separate video unlike the one showcasing his mad dance skills. As a mother, Rei deeply cared for Touya and was hurt that he became a villain, but his reveal was what also made her strong enough to stand up against the man who made her feel weak and thats amazing.

Endeavor is still learning how to be a better person and I believe that he can become a better person. But, this does not mean he gets to wallow in his lonely hospital room anf complain about current events that could have been avoided if he chose to be a better father to them in the first place. (Also don't say its better late than never bc Endeavor had multiple times tk become a better person i.e. after Shotos face got burn, Touyas death, Rei sent to a mental institute, Natsuo going to college, Fuyumi becoming a teacher, Shoto first day at U.A., before Kamino Ward where Dabi isn't a major villain yet. So no, Endeavor doesn't get away with his abuse for "late" timing he's 20 years too late.)

Like I said, this is not me hating on Endeavor stans you guys have your own reasons to like Endeavor and I have my own reasons to dislike him. And I will admit, Endeavor is a good hero and if we would look at him only for his hero work then yes he deserves to be the Number 1 hero. But, he does not represent what a hero should be outside of the uniform. Being a hero does not mean you have to be perfect, heros can have flaws. But, being a hero means you represent safety and protection, and look at what he has done for the past 20 years to the people he's suppose to protect just for a goal which was to prove his worth and show that he is better than his rival.

Honestly the way I see it, it doesn’t matter if you’re a very calm person or outgoing person. No matter what this relationship is gonna end up being considerably chaotic

He ropes you into everything he does. Doesn’t matter if u r a design student or an architecture student or if ur on the opposite side of the school from him, u r practically in his class. Dating him is like signing a contract sealing away ur own life bc he makes it a point to be ALWAYS w u

In class he doesn’t gaf if the teacher has ur seat on the other end of class, he is somehow finding a way to sit next to u against ur will or not. And when the teacher moves u two away from eachother INTENTIONALLY bc of this, he is threatening whoever happened to sit next to u to trade seats w him. He will go as far as to dress up as them to make it look like they’re them to be next to u and he’s so dramatic ab it.... being away from u felt like u were star crossed lovers whom the world was fiercely against

And if UR against this cuz ur tired of getting in trouble in class, or if you reject any of his advances, he’s gonna be really, really, really offended. He will at first sputter and be kinda shy and embarrassed about it, before he goes “fine! Have fun on your own without me, the greatest thing in your fucking life!”

He move seats back and will glare at you periodically every five minutes to pavlov dog you so that every five minutes every day, even when he’s not there, you feel the burning stare of vin jin

If you’re his s/o, he’ll buy you a matching pair of sunglasses so ur the freshest looking couple around Seoul (they’re hideous and thick but he thinks u look fly)

The glasses don’t have nearly as many layers as his does for himself so u can see, and u wonder how he managed to make them just as bulky and if he did it on purpose to sabotage u. Like “did u make my glasses purposefully ugly so no one else will want me?”

U have to dodge a punch after saying anything like that ab his fashion decisions LMAOAO

He’s rlly proud of u two matching. With the glasses and anything in general. He’ll make you wear a jacket matching his, or the same shoes and he will stop people in the hall and be like “wait. Notice anything cool ab us today?? Cooler than normal??”

danny phantom episode 4-7 Thoughts: (under a readmore because, these got kinda long!)

-the outfit danny had to buy for dash's party. CLASSIC 2000S i cannot stop laughing. And also showing up to the party and everyone is dressed like the trio is hilarious. and further proof that everyone looks good dressed goth.

-dash has a closet full of cute lil bear plushies?? LOVE that. adorable. also his response to danny trashing his room fighting a ghost was SO valid if somone BROKE MY BED IN HALF ID BE PISSED TOO.

-technus being like 'oh smart, u should be a tutor!' then later being like 'forget tutor, be a teacher!' :) supportive king <3 I also really like his upgraded suit/design. AND SPOCK CAMEO??? HELLO??

-the music in this show is super. its so funky. I looked it up and the guy who does it, guy moon (awesome name) also did music for other cartoons like fairly odd parents, barnyard, chalkzone, billy & mandy, AND some actual movies like FIGHT CLUB??? the whiplash I got from reading that)

-sam being rich explains a lot about her, actually.

I feel like ever since elementary, all our teachers liked to talk about how the opposite of love isn't hate (there was even a text during 6th? grade about this whole thing.)

Tbh I haven't looked much into lore so I only know the gist of it(I'm such shit, but I know I will have literally no time to study if I get invested in the dsmp) so there may be wild guesses here and there down below.

The way Quackity's expressions ranged from stoic to a weirdly kind smile to aggressively scary and ruthless, it's all just so.. *gestures wildly with hands because I have no words* ..angsty. The grip on Dream's hair like he wants him to listen carefully but he is losing all patience and sanity and sympathy for Dream. The crazed look from Quackity(his last block) is just so cold and bitter and kind of filled with self-pity, like he's been there before (I actually don't know if that's the case lmao) it's the look from textbook villians(I know he's not one) when they become insane and starts spilling all that they know in the most poisonous way possible.

Also, again, last block giving me chills. Sapnap's glare and George just walking away with absolutely no care and no desire to turn around sums it up beautifully. Good work, really really beautiful.

dream from the start had a plan: make everyone on the server hate him and build a prison for someone so strong it'll be needed. for me there is no way he was talking about tommy or techno then. no way.

he definitely had a fall to corruption. what he did with tommy during exile, that one is inexcusable ofc but the other things??? destroying the community house, siding with techno during his arrest, even destroying a whole ass country (this one might just be him reaching his limit against lmanberg, being the first and basically only country to defy him sm and stuff)

its weird and interesting in a way. what he did, the destruction, telling everyone he has no more attachments, not even sapnap and george, putting george on the throne then dethroning him not long after-- all these things just seems like it's part of his plan you know???

but like, what for? why? what does he want? earlier in the smp, he just wanted to build a home for them, one that will grow and be beautiful (theres a certain tiktok edit of this one, i am going to cry) he was such a good guy in the earlier days, he just wanted to take care of the server and take on the responsibilities expected of him but it just all... fell?

but even then, from the start, i cant help but think that he was already alone. sure, he had sapnap and george and the others but after everything: after sapnap was so quick to jump on tommy's side after ONE thing that dream said in the heat of the moment to threaten tommy (the 'i dont care about anything' bit), not trying to clear it up with dream and with george being so quick to side with other people's statement (dream dethroned him bc he hates him, etc) than dream's own (to protect george), its just so sad. not to mention even before everything, those two formed new nations without dream before; while dream was fighting for his own alone, they didn't really care enough. they did this again, with kinoko kingdom but tbf, the destruction of the community house felt like the end of the greater dream smp.

its just... sad and tragic, his whole character. his life is like the joker, baby. BAHAHAHA

fic writer who asked for advice on writing bruce: the angle im taking is "more than anything, bruce is meant to be a father". hes a father figure in everything he does and i want that to be a focal point in my fic. yeah hes undoubtedly badass and accomplished but children are never afraid of him. more than anything, batman was birthed bc of compassion. thats what i want to write.

I started writing out a whole thing about parenthood but honestly it might be better than my computer ate it. But basically, instead of defining Bruce’s personality, you’ll be better off defining ‘fatherhood’.

I think that most people can agree that parenthood has a few necessary traits:

Attempt to protect children

Attempt to provide food and shelter for children

Place children in priority above the self (most of the time)

Teach everyday needs (usually manners and customs than algebra, but some parents ARE algebra teachers)

if All those traits aren’t in place, it’s probably not a parent. (but if you add in compassion and love, you get parenthood, which is maybe the difference between fatherhood and sperm donerhood)

I think what’s standing out in your ask is “ hes a father figure in everything he does” and “children are never afraid of him”

The thing I’m posing is this: not all abused kids hate their parents. sometimes, when someone takes away their abusive parent, that person is the villain in the scenario. Especially if the removal is violent and the child is right there to see it. If both parents are removed, the most likely paths will be foster care or homelessness. It’s easy and it makes sense to hate and fear someone putting you in that situation. So maybe the kid runs.

How do you chase a child and not scare them?

How do you turn that situation around into trust?

Bruce can’t adopt literally everyone in a bad situation (monetarily he can, but realistically he cannot parent that many people in a day), and Jason got adopted and was head over heels for a new pop, but how do you parent someone you may not ever see again? What about someone in juvy who’s in no place to trust anyone? Someone who’s been let down too many times? When he sees young adults with addiction knowing it’s a downward spiral but figuring it’d at least be nice to cushion the blow, knowing it will be even harder to turn it around-- and a process that takes years sometimes and you really need consistent support.

He doesn’t have to have a perfect, concrete answer to these situations, but I’m sure he’s encountered them on patrol in Gotham. Family (the ones you like) are meant to be the first line of defense when things come crashing down, and for someone like him who grew up with barely a thread to hold onto, I’m sure he wants to protect them. But either he pulls out a miracle cure, or he has to deal with the guilt of not parenting people who need it, right? Or does he just clamp down tighter over his own little family and try to separate them from the rest of the world and ensure they don’t endure what he’s seen out there? Does he project things he’s seen on the kids and miss their actual issues, or does he care so much sometimes people trust him, but they still don’t know if they want to tell him things?

I guess I’m thinking of when you’re driving down the road and you see a kitten on the side and have the instinct to pull over and pick them up, and then you have to ask if this new thing will end up hurting your current kids just by having one too many. parenthood feels like a series of very hard choices, and Bruce is admittedly very good at either making hard choices, or at finding a third option. So maybe he does strive for that miracle cure.

...I hope any of this was helpful, instead of just depression. I do however have a request that Bruce explains periods to one of his kids because I do very much want to see adult men (father figure is a bonus) who know about periods and are just chill about it.
