“why do people call endeavor a misogynist??? there are so many valid reasons why he didn’t train fuyumi, it’s not for her gender!”
umm idk how to tell you this, but men who abuse their wives and revoke their sexual consent and throw them to the ground and lock them away in a mental hospital…are in fact misogynists

The Wrong Way to Put Out Fire
Tumblr media
I wanna talk about some details about Touya, Todoroki family and the different situtions Touya and Shouto had.
Tumblr media
Touya is introduced us as innocent, nice kid who just wants to enjoy his father.
Tumblr media
Thats actually first difference we saw between Touya and Shouto. Sometimes children fond of one of their parents more than other one. For Touya, he was daddy’s boy. Shouto is more like mommmy’s boy. (Even their clothes are parallels. Fire, ice. Daddy, mommy.)
And let me say this;
This marriage was wrong to begin with. Quirk marriage, the fact that Endeavour decided to put his ambitions on his children is wrong.
But as a first born, for Touya, his family was normal. Children dont magically understand what is right or wrong.
Tumblr media
He simply saw that he got his father’s attention and it made him really really happy. Training was the bond he had with his father. Touya’s thoughts probably like; I am daddy’s son, my father is really happy when i become more strong etc etc.
Even he realize his family is different from other people, he probably simply thought that it might be different but its their thing. This is why we saw Touya as happy. Touya felt special when he got his father’s all attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Touya saw his mother is okay with it. He probably saw that many times even when father being disrespectfull, mom doesnt seem to mind that much. This is probably why he starts to looks down on his mother too. Its just children dont respect adults who dont respect theirselves. If child think he can get away with it, they would simply do it. Mommy allows daddy to be the boss of the house, mommy allows daddy’s to be disrespectfull to herself so its ok to disrespectfull to mommy too. Thats how children think in those situtions.
What was Shouto’s difference then?
Tumblr media
Shouto as last born, he never think his family is normal or this sitution is okay cause when Shouto is born, everyone in family already starts to break down. Mommy wasnt okay at all.
Tumblr media
Endeavour put his own ambitions on Touya’s shoulders, he gave him impossible expectations which is literally name of the chapter. Wrong way to put out the fire. Those impossible expectations is abuse, btw.
Tumblr media
Everything started cause Endeavour put out fire on wrong place, his family.
And after Touya failed, he was thrown away. Touya probably felt like; his father took him to the highest hill of the building, made him feel special but then threw him down.
Tumblr media
Touya started to get the attention he had at first place to the point he started to burn himself over and over again. Look at how terryfying he looks when his brothers were born...
Tumblr media
At this point, he understand he is replacable which made him question why was he born at first place.
Tumblr media
Of course, Touya wouldnt listen Endeavour when he said ‘there is a life outside of being a hero’ cause Endeavour himself doesnt live his life like that. Children arent stupid, they observe adults’s actions too. Endeavour’s words condract with his actions thats why his words didnt reach out to Touya.
Tumblr media
Touya was in a lot of pain to the point his heigh stopped growing (Look how he is shorter than his siblings), burns himself, his hair starts to change probably cause he used his quirk too much, he even starts to pull his hair which is sign of suicide. He was literally small kid who was mentally breaking down and he expressed his pain every way he can do but he was ignored.
Tumblr media
Fuyumi-chan didnt understand him. Natsuo-kun doesnt listen him either. (Touya thought Fuyumi-chan didnt understand her cause she is girl but the reason she and Natsuo doesnt understand is they didnt have the same expectation at first place.)
Tumblr media
And mommy is at fault too cause she is the one who allowed daddy to raised him like this at first place. She is the one the accepted this marriage, she is responsible too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For a child, to be understood is very important thing but they didnt get it. He realized his siblings dont understand him. Even though, Touya was so mentally unstable to the point he attack his baby brother, his parents still didnt get him help or didnt specifically take care of him, instead they constantly ignore him. They kept telling him to forget what happenned and look other way.
Tumblr media
This is exactly why Touya couldnt hold on something else cause in deep, he knows only way to be seen is prove himself.
Tumblr media
For Touya, his mother didnt there for him. His mother allowed this to happen too. This is why his situtions are opposite of Shouto’s.
Touya thought family is normal, his daddy loves him, this is why training was fun.
Tumblr media
This is why he end believing everything Endeavour taught him. Even he uses same words, literally in same chapter.
Tumblr media
‘I live in different world from others.’
Tumblr media
Shouto realized family isnt normal and father is the one who make everyone unhappy. This is why he hated training cause he realized father is forcing him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For Touya, mother wasnt there for him and ignored his pain.
Tumblr media
For Shouto, his mother was there for him, this is why she became his emotional support.
This is also why Shouto tried to protect mom cause Rei at this point was really in pain and she was reaching her breaking point. Mommy is there for me, i love mommy but dad make mommy upset, dad is the bad guy here.
Meanwhile for Touya, he didnt really see his mom as sad, he saw her being okay with sitution, thats why he probably think that the way Endeavour treat her as normal cause she accepted this sitution.
Tumblr media
All those opposite situitons made them think opposite way. Not because one is good or bad, its just they had different kind of abuse. (Also hair symbolism is nice parallel too).
Though despite opposite situtions, they were also similar too. They were so cold child soldiers who only think about getting revenge from father, just opposite way cause Shouto has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Touya waited his father to come forest to watch him but Endeavıur didnt come until Touya was burn to death.
Tumblr media
Touya’s death wasnt just an accident but its both also suicide and murder. Touya was suicidal, he kept burning himself but parents didnt look at him and Endeavour is the one who push him this mental state. Even Touya says himsef;
 ‘After all, the only  thing he taught me was how to turn up the heat’
Tumblr media
Touya had to burn and reborn to get daddy’s attention again but even after his death, he was hardly mentioned by his family. I mean if Dabi never become a villain, they wouldnt even discuss this case as family.
And i honestly dislike how Todoroki handle this sitution.
Tumblr media
Rei says everyone is responsible but Shouto, Fuyumi and Natsuo were children, its not their fault. Rei is at fault for not being there for Touya and Endeavour is the most at fault for making Touya mentally unstable. I hate how children carry the mistakes of Endeavour, it wasn their fault.
Tumblr media
And with their talk, they made it sound like Shouto is better than Touya cause look, he became a hero and he forgave them!
Tumblr media
I mean, Shouto didnt have much choice cause Endeavour forced him to be a hero. Even Endeavour wasnt there, Shouto had emotional support (mom) and inspiration (allmight) to be hero, he also has strong qurik so no wonder he can be hero, you know. But Touya didnt have any of it. He didnt have emotional support, inspiration to be better or strong quirk.
Tumblr media
Not even need to mention how both Early-Shouto and Dabi obsess with revenge, cold child soldiers who dont pay attention to people around them. Just Shouto was in better environment and then he met Deku and he started to heal.
Tumblr media
Even Shouto saw himself in Dabi, how he could be like him but he was lucky to be saved. Even their wound smbolically shows their pain. For Shouto, it was boiling water but for Touya, it was very strong fire that will burn him to dush.
Tumblr media
Yeah, Dabi is villain but even so. To Deku, Shigaraki is completely stranger but he still thoguht that he needs to be saved. Meanwhile, Todoroki family knew what happenned to Touya. They are personally involved with him but i found it weird it how they didnt mention about ‘saving him’.
Tumblr media
I mean maybe thats what they will try eventually but still....i think heroes are good, villains are bad sitution contnues even in this sitution cause they say Dabi is the one who needs to be stopped and Endeavour is the one who take a hand.
Shouto needs to offer that hand to Dabi, not Endeavour cause the one who needs to be saved is Dabi/Touya, not Endeavour.
Not to mention how Best Jeanist and Hawks coldy listen sitution.
Tumblr media
I guess, even after this, they still dont really look at Dabi’s pain cause if they saw it, at least they would talk about helping him more than stopping him...what a tragedy.
Tumblr media
Touya, after everything he had been through is still ignored, even by his own family, remind me of Tenko’s sitution :’))).

Reading Bnha 302
Ok, let’s try to dig and find gold.
So here I was, wondering for a whole week who’s gonna be the one to kick little Toyua’s ass. Rei??? Enji? Miraculously summoning his quirk Shouto? I’m putting off my clown wig bc no such scene. Is it a burned sleeve, Enji? Is it the answer I’m seeking? 👀
Um, kids are banned from the privilege to laugh at little Shou-Shou snot bubbles. Sorry, Natsu, Fuyumi, blame your big bro over there.
What caught my eye immediately was that the chapter has a very dark vibe. Enji’s face are hidden in the shadows almost everywhere. Man, it gives you chills, just look at this. Yikes.
Tumblr media
Sorry, but let’s stare at this some more
Tumblr media
Couldn’t resist. Sleeping with no care in the world, imitating Kageyama Tobio cute scowl. What? Someone tried to kill me? Nah.
Is this ice? Todo had his quirk this early? *Proud mama sobbing*
Anyhow, moving on.
Tumblr media
Right in you face! Hero? You? Pfffffft, yeah, k.
Rei is a queen, and her expression here!!!she’s mad and has every right to be mad.
Rei “maybe just pay attention to your son? Pls? Bc ya know, he just attacked our other son and if you run away now, it’ll end bad”. Enji “woman, I have more important stuff to do, I’m a hero. do it yourself”. Again his face is lurking in the dark. Scary.
And we are at the beginning of the circle again. Same scene but now we have two perspectives. Touya’s eyes are so sad... “I want to be on his place, if only I could...” after all this years he still hasn’t given up here. Playing with his siblings is never gonna be enough. If only they could switch places. Again- shadoooooows.
Tumblr media
Poor Natsu, he just wants his sleep back. Ugh, go bother Fuyumi, damn it.
The last person Toyua believed would stay by his side, would understand him, would be there for him currently doesn’t give a fuck, bc sleep is important, duh. He’s utterly alone. Can we start crying already? Yeah? Ok.
it’s time for Mom to try too. “Touya, go play with your friends?please?” “No!”
Well he didn’t listen to his father, and he had a great amount of respect for the man. So kinda an obvious outcome. The thing that got me is that from the early age Touya knows the whole shit ton of dirt. A kid. Thinks that he’s just a flawed experiment, and his mom went along with that. Producing kids. For money. I’d go crazy too.
Ok, this is the reason Rei blames herself too. But what she could have done at this point?
Tumblr media
Ok. Fuck. After all these years. After being clearly thrown aside. After watching Enji spending all his time with Shouto. HE IS STILL TRYING TO IMPRESS HIM!!! Smiling at him. “Dad pls, just look at me. I’m here too!”
Tears are covering the whole floor now. Damn it, Hori.
But apparently you burning yourself in hopes of getting a spare glance is not enough. Think of the better strategy next time, bro
Tumblr media
MY BABY HERO!!!
Like he’s not even scared? Just determined to stop Enji from bullying his mommy. Did I say “my baby hero”already?
Also we see Endeavor again hidden in the darkness. He looks like a scary fairytale monster, waiting to drag you in hell. He’s too far gone, the light can’t reach him anymore.
Fuyumi and Natsu, hugging and crying? They too knew what was happening, navigating in this neglect and screams...how did they manage to grow up and be normal functioning human being again?
And the saddest frame award goes to...
Tumblr media
It’s just devastating. Touya sitting alone, crying bc his dad doesn’t care. No matter how hard he tries, no matter now much pain he’s endures, nothing works, and he’s alone. Always alone.
Oh wtf Enji. Stop, or I’m gonna have nightmares!
Tumblr media
My favorite frame. Every member of Todoroki family, reflecting, acknowledging where they could face it defferently, how could they save him...
And now they’re finally ready to face it. Together. As a family, standing side by side.
Rei, calling Shouto their family hero? Shouto acting mature, not going solo but sharing his plan, asking advice, considering his family opinions? I’m.. it’s... I’m so proud, I can’t find words to express it, sorry.
MIDORYIA!!!!
Tumblr media
One more completed circle. Shouto’s first step to become a hero was saving his mom. And now she’s here, standing tall, telling him “you’re a hero, son” 🥲 and Todo is thankful to Deku for that. For showing him the way out of his resentment and pain. Deku was there in time, while nobody showed up for Touya...
Tododeku stans, how’re you doing? Seeing their precious friendship?
Ok. I need to say it again. Todoroki Shouto is the kindest, most selfless soul alive. Bite me.
He’s here to give Enji a chance to make it right this time. Give him a hand. He was saving ppl from the age of five. I’ll fight every civilian who’ll dare to say shit about him
Tumblr media
And after my tears’ve filled my entire room, I see the eavesdropping blonde and I lose it.
Bj, Hawks and Bakugou. Trio blondies eavesdropping brigade. It was part of that internship.
Btw where is Bakugou? It’s time for him to show up and scream some profanities to diffuse the tension.
I was thinking it was Natsu who wanted to treat his baby bro with soba, but here it’s says Touya. Anyhow, anyone will do. Just give that boy his comfort food, he deserves it. I deserve it too after all of this emotional whirlwind of never ending pain.
Now we’ve discovered almost everything, the last question is Touya’s death. I wonder, if it was Ujiko, the doc who spoke with Todo parents about Touya and his quirk, could he pass this info to someone? Or could he help the boy himself to escape?

Baby. Where did 14-15yr old Touya find a jaw bone that matched his? How did he know it was a match? That jacket kinda looks like it's the same brand Natsuo wears. Speaking of Natsuo, this chapter is called "Thanks for being alright". This better show the other Todoroki's reactions to this.
Tumblr media
So his hair did go from red to white. Touya looks pretty excited to be training with Endeavour tho I'm pretty sure I already know how it all went wrong. It doesn't look like Touya's hair turned white due to stress. I mean he doesn't look very stressed out in this panel and his hair is already turning white. Is it something to do with his quirk then?
Okay so Enji and Rei decided together to have another kid, Fuyumi, with Enji's reason being he wanted a kid with both quirks and Rei's being she wanted siblings that would encourage each other. Boy did that backfire. Fuyumi only got Rei's ice but at the time Enji was pretty content with what he had cause Touya had a super powerful fire quirk. The Todoroki's seem pretty normal so something must have happened between Fuyumi's birth and Natsuo's. Maybe that's when Enji discovered Touya's limitations.
Tumblr media
Ok so I'm thinking the change in hair colour definitely has something to do with his quirk since it looks like his fire started hurting him after his hair started turning white. There's a question mark by that ouch which leads me to believe this is the first time it's happened. Touya probably pushed himself past his own limitations in an attempt to keep his father's attention but then Shouto's quirks manifested and Touya was pushed aside completely. He probably felt like Shouto was stealing their dad from him and Enji ignoring him probably didn't help. No wonder he hates Shouto.
Enji is in complete and utter denial. Meanwhile Touya is living is best life taunting Endeavour and asking why he was never invited to his fire quirk infested agency.
Compress is wondering why Dabi didn't tell them about this and Spiner is trying to get Shiggy to give Machia an order cause apparently he finally passed out. The Todoroki drama was to much for him to handle. Dabi tells Endeavour to run a DNA test if he doesn't believe him but Dabi already ran his own and is currently showing it to the general public on the latest episode of Keeping up with the Todoroki's.
Tumblr media
Omg they had to call Fuyumi out of her class. And Natsuo's face, poor boy is in shock. The video is already going viral. This is gonna follow them for the rest of their lives. Also Touya and Enji have very different versions of what happened in terms of the siblings being born. I mean maybe that's how it went down with Natsuo and Shouto, but Touya and Fuyumi seemed to have been a mutual decision. Yeah it's Endeavour's flashback but his is the only one we see and Dabi is an unreliable source.
Oh my god the heroes are so fucked. Can't-you-see-kun is yelling about how no one could possibly believe the words of a villain and then the video cuts to HAWKS STABBING TWICE IN THE BACK. When did he record that? Does this mean he let Twice get killed on purpose? It's not like he was in tears after it happened and before y'all come for me in the notes, when Dabi cries he cries blood. We saw it when he was reflecting on what Snatch told him. Yes his tear ducts probably are broken but that doesn't mean he can't cry. Plus he was grinning like a kid on Christmas after Twice's death, guess now we know why.
(Edit: So I forgot about the cameras in Hawks' wings but I still think Dabi wasnt actually hurt by Twice's death. It still worked out in his favour in the end so why should he?)
Tumblr media
I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE CAMERAS IN HIS WINGS!!! Are those things heat proof or some shit? His wings were literally on fire. Lmao Sceptic. Shit I don't know if the heroes are gonna recover from this. Dabi literally said "why stop at Endeavour? Why not air out Hawks' dirty laundry too?~".
Tumblr media
Dabi is on a role today. It would be so funny if Best Jeanest really is alive and decided to use this moment to make his grand appearance. It wouldn't do much against all this damning evidence but it would cause more chaos and that is what I thrive on.
(Edit: Ya love to see it)
Tho this info makes it more believable that Keigo was abused by his father which would not only make Endeavour arresting him coincidental but also extremely ironic.
Video Dabi is going on about how heroes are the scum of the Earth and that the civilians are being lied to.
Irl Dabi is going on about how people will never trust the heroes again and he's absolutely right. I don't know how they're gonna recover from this. Can't-you-see-kun is in tears. Everyone looks so distraught, except for Iida who's wearing a helmet and Bakugou who looks like he's about to straight up die at any given moment. Dabi is all "Thanks for playing, Endeavour" as he jumps down from Machia's back.
Tumblr media
IT'S HAPPENING! THIS IS IT!! Dabi is straight up suicide bombing them. There is no way Dabi is gonna survive this, he's already at his limit. If Endeavour doesn't move, and I seriously doubt he will, he's gonna get caught in the blast and probably die. Poor Shouto is in tears. Man he is gonna be sooo traumatised.
Tumblr media
I'M SO GLAD HE'S ACTUALLY ALIVE AND MAN WHAT A SHOCK THAT MUST BE FOR DABI. "Apologies for being fashionably late." My man I missed you so much. Also roll credits cause I'm so glad he's alright. I can't wait to see the different variations of "this takes away from Hawks' character growth" even tho it really doesn't. Also is it just me or does Best Jeanest have a new hero costume? We'll most likely get an explanation on what happened next chapter.
(Edit: OMG I JUST REALISED BEST JEANIST AND BAKUGOU ARE IN THE SAME PLACE NOW AND BAKUGOU LOOKS LIKE HE'S ABOUT TO DIE DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!?!?!???? MOTHERFUCKING NAME REVEAL THAT'S WHAT!)
Until next time.

The Burn {Child!Shoto x Sister!Reader}
*Reader is 18, 3rd Year at UA, Same quirk as Shoto, Older Twin to Touya*
Mhm... the weekend, it's the beat time of the week. No school at all. Only possible downside is that I could have homework, thankfully I don't though. But there's also the fact that I don't really leave the house, so I'm sorta around him if he's home...
Which he is...
Everyone is home actually, mom, my younger sister and three younger brothers. The gangs all here, woo...
As I laid sprawled across our couch, flicking through the TV channels, little Shoto walks up to me, a sad look on his face. He's twiddling his fingers too, so something is defiantly on his mind.
"Hey..." I whisper, smiling at him. When he didn't smile back my concern grew just a little more. I sat up, "what's wrong?"
Shoto didn't respond at first, just continued to stare at the ground. When he finally did, only now do I notice the tears welling up in his multi-coloured eyes. "I don't wanna train with dad today..." Shoto mumbles, a tear or two escaping his eyes. I frown, no one ever wants to train with that man, understandably so.
Pulling Shoto up onto my lap, I lean back into the couch while resting his head on my chest, stroking his hair.
"Shh, it's alright. I'll talk to him okay? I'll try and get you out of it..." Shoto sniffles, nodding his head as he buried it further into me. It wouldn't be the first time I've talked to our 'father' to stop him from pushing and hurting Shoto, sometimes even taking his place in training so he can take a break.
Continuing to pet the half and half boys red and white hair, a sudden thought pops in my head. One that I know will make my little brother happy, guaranteed.
"Hey, how about I make you your favourite?" I question, gazing down at the little boy in my arms. Shoto's head snaps up, eyes staring at me, seeming to sparkle. Whether it was from the tears, general enthusiasm or both, the emotion he was feeling was clear as day via the bright smile on his face.
"You mean-!" He asked. My smile widens as I nod.
"Yep! Cold soba!!" I cheer. The bright smile that appeared on Shoto's face warmed my heart. I'd do anything to make sure this smile stays for as long as possible.
"Can you go check and see if we have everything we need? If we don't, you wanna come with me to the store and get it?"
"Yes!" He jumped up and down, rushing off into the kitchen. I smile to myself, if there's anything that can make him happy it's cold soba.
Giggling at the thought, I stand to my feet, about to go to the kitchen myself. Something stops me though. When Shoto rounded the corner into the kitchen, he seemed... hesitant...
"Mama?" I hear him whisper. Was mom in there? Why is he so scared to enter then?
Suddenly an ear piercing scream fills the once quiet house. I jump but run into the kitchen, a sight I wished to never see appearing right in front of me. There stood the white haired woman known as my mother, pouring a kettle full of hot water over Shoto's face, pulling on his hair so his head is tilted back.
"MOM STOP!!" I shout, rushing up to her. Grabbing her arm I yank the kettle away from my little brother's face, also getting her to let go of Shoto's hair.
"AH-" I hiss, the boiling water redirecting, some being poured onto my shoulder, down my arm and onto my chest. In a fit of panic I push her away, making her stumble and fall on her butt. The hot kettle ended up sliding off to the other side of the room, leaving a large pile and trail of water.
I clutch my throbbing shoulder, why did I have to wear a tank top today!? Not the point, not the point!! Uh, uh- SHOTO!!
Frantically looking for Shoto I spot him backed up into the wall, sobbing and holding his eye. I stumble over to him, removing my hand from my own injury as I knelt in front of him.
"It hurts!!" He cried, my heart breaking but mind racing, what do I do now!? Finally, something came to mind.
"I know, I know. Listen, you gotta move your hand for me when I say to ok?" I say as calmly as I can, figuring that I should ice his eye. Footsteps sound from beside me before I can do anything. I better not be my damn father, last thing I need is him in the room.
Sparring a glance over to the entrance, my eyes land on my other siblings, horrified expressions painting their faces but I'm thankful it's not him.
"O-oh my god!!" Fuyumi gasps, cupping a hand over her mouth. The boy's eyes are as wide as saucers.
"(Y-Y/N)-chan, your shoulder!!!" Natsuo calls, running over to my side.
"I'M FINE!" I shout, causing every one of my siblings to flinch. Taking a breath I calm down but only slightly, my hands shaking. "I'm fine, I'm fine. But I need your help. Touya, go start my car. Fuyumi, Natsuo, I need you both to clean up the water and get mom onto the couch, keep her calm and keep that man away from her.
Touya's already out the kitchen, Natsuo nods and runs off, probably to get the mop. Fuyumi stays frozen for a second, staring at me.
"W-what about you?" She asks, voice shaking.
"I'm taking Shoto to the hospital. I'll make up some excuse about his injury." I say, picking Shoto up in my arms, hugging his body to mine. I hiss quietly, my arm protesting the action.
"But you're hurt!!" She argued.
"AND SHOTO COULD GO BLIND!!"
Fuyumi stays silent, her eyes still glossy with tears from this whole thing. Finally she nods, going up to mom and guiding her to the living room.
"Okay Shoto, were going to go get you fixed up ok?" I coo, trying to keep a level head. For Shoto.
I feel him nod his head, though it was only a little, a hiss and cry of pain leaving him right after. Hurrying off to the front door, I slip on my pair of flip-flops, exiting the house after.
Touya did as I said, the car started and waiting to be driven. For a brief moment I contemplate whether I should have Shoto sit on my lap as I drive or in the passenger seat. I end up feeling that the passenger seat would be better for safety reasons.
Opening the passenger side door, I set Shoto down, his body facing me. I knell once more so I'm eye level with him.
"Ok, Shoto I need you to move your hand..." I stare up at him. The boy whimpers.
"I-I c-can't (Y/N), it hurts!"
"Shh, it's only for a second. I'm going to ice it, it'll help with the pain and the burn. But you gotta move your hand" I plead. The longer we stay here, the worse the injury will be.
"...Ok (Y/N)-chan..." he whispers. I smile up at him a little, readying the ice half of my quirk.
"Alright. On the count of three, move your hand." Shoto nods. I don't stop smiling at him, hopefully it's calming him down a little.
"1"
"2"
"3!"
~~~~
"Alright Miss, you're all patched up!" The nurse cheers, packing up her equipment. I hum quietly, eyes locked on the bandages around my shoulder area, some on my chest and back too. They take up basically the entire half of my body...
"Can I see my brother now?" I ask, the stress and worry clear in my voice. After getting Shoto to the hospital and taken into an emergency room, some of the other staff had pressured me into getting fixed up myself. I ended up caving, though it took a lot of convincing.
The nurse looked at me, sympathy in her eyes.
"Yes, I can take you to see him. One more thing though... your injury... there will be permanent scarring there. I'm sorry..."
My (e/c) eyes locked with hers, my lips twitching up into a slight smile.
"That's alright, now may I see my brother?" The nurse slowly nodded, gesturing for me to follow her, which I did. While walking, I found that Shoto's room wasn't that far, only two doors down. As we both neared the sound of crying grew, my pace speeding up the slightest.
"Shh, it'll be alright little one..." I hear another nurse coo.
"B-b-but! M-my sister!" Shoto cries. I couldn't take it anymore and rushed into the room, my eyes landing on Shoto curled up in his hospital bed, bandages covering his left eye. Wordlessly I made my way to Shoto's side, gently pushing pass the nurse and pulling him into a gentle embrace. The small boy flinched but soon relaxed, maybe because he figured out who was holding him.
"(Y-Y/N)?" he calls, voice broken and strained. I started to pat his hair soothingly.
"Yeah it's me Shoto, it's alright now.... Why? Because I am here!" Shoto giggled, he always does when I imitate his favourite hero.
"You sound just like All Might..." he whispers, his breathing slowing down and a small yawn escaping him. This whole thing, along with all the crying he's done, must have finally started to weigh down on him. I smile.
"Thanks buddy-" I start but I'm cut off by the sound of sniffling. My shirt became wet and gazing down my suspicions were confirmed, Shoto was crying.
"Hey! What's wrong? Does it hurt?" I ask worried though when he shook his head I became confused.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry..." he muttered, burying his face further into my chest. Worry floods back into me and my confusion doubles.
"What for? You did nothing wrong" Shoto simply shook his head.
"Y-you got hurt because of me! Mama burned you too because of the way I look. Because I look like him!" Shoto cries, more tears streaming down his cheeks. I huff quietly, pushing some of my (h/c) hair out of my face.
"It's in no way your fault Sho. That man has hurt us all, mom just... couldn't take it anymore... Fuyumi, Natsuo, Touya and I, we're all going to help each other and mom get better ok?" A moment passes before Shoto nods slowly.
"Alright then, get some sleep, ok? I'll be right here, I'm not going anywhere." I coo, stroking my fingers through his hair in a calming way.
"Will you... protect me too?" he murmurs. A few incoherent sounds pass through the boys lips before his voice quiets down some more. Before either of us realized, Shoto had fallen asleep in my arms. Moving off the bed, I lay my brother down, tucking him in with the plain white hospital sheets, nothing like the colourful ones he has at home. Taking a seat in the chair beside his bed I lay my own head on the edge, using my undamaged arm as a pillow, feeling tired myself.
"I'll always protect you Shoto, I promise." I mumbled into the still room, sleep consuming me, leaving the two of us in a peaceful and calm silence.
BNHA/Naruto reincarnation au
Ok ok so the trope is that one character is reincarnated into another world, either as another character or as a new insert in the world right?  I had a kind of cracky idea for this one.
It’s a bit long but basically a ton of characters from My Hero die during the War arc and are reincarnated as Naruto characters, which changes canon timeline but not a ton at first because they all think they’re the only one. Like, literally Minato is All Might, Aizawa is Kakashi - Team 7 is Izuku (Naruto - trust me I know it’s weird, but nearly-adult Izuku in a child’s body is here to cause problems on purpose), Bakugou (Sakura - the temper and eventually the ability to smash boulders? Yes. I know Naruto and Sakura could be flipped but I have Reasons), and Todoroki (Sasuke - evil older brother, fire stuff, kinda stoic) - there’s more under the cut because I don’t have the energy to write an actual entire fic but I need to put it down. Maybe at some point I’ll write the rest.
Yagi thought it was a dream for a while.  Thought it was a nightmare, some days - but being Namikaze Minato was oddly satisfying in that he earned every bit of his power along the way.  He was proud of it, the strength and speed and intellect. The only person he ever told about his old world was Kushina - and she believed him.  His heart ached when his team fought and died and fought more - he tried to reach Kakashi in his grief, but the boy wasn’t happy.
Aizawa doesn’t tell a soul that he’s someone else, that he’s a fraud, not a genius.  He doesn’t dare make a friend in Obito or Rin, still aching because all he can think is Mic and Oboro and his fucking class all gone.  Minato’s sunny smiles in the midst of being a deadly destroyer of armies makes him think of All Might and Izuku, the heroes, the best of them.  It hurts when it’s all taken away, and he uses his knowledge of how not to strain eye-related powers to cover his Sharingan when not in use and dives into ANBU to avoid thinking too hard about everything.
Touya aches. He’s a genius of his clan, blew his first fireball so hot that it charred his throat for a week and glowed blue-white instead of red. This world doesn’t leave him burned beyond repair, and killing isn’t what makes a villain - but he still becomes one, for his little brother’s sake, because while Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shouto are gone, he still has Sasuke. (Another suicide mission fueled by revenge - only this time it’s him that has to die in the end, not his father.)  Itachi’s new flames are black, not blue.
Hawks is tired of lies.  So tired of being loyal to a system that’s full of false promises.  He might be a shark instead of a bird now, but he still flies the coop and joins up with a group that comfortably reminds him of the League.
Izuku grieves everyone - of course he does - in the quiet of his little apartment. He’s reminded again and again of the fact that he’s different for whatever reason.  This time, instead of crying, he shouts - he laughs - he pranks the shit out of everyone to just be noticed for something that’s actually under his control.  If he can’t be the #1 hero, then dammit he’ll be Hokage - the strongest leader he can manage to be.
Katsuki doesn’t know what the fuck to do. One, he’s become a girl - gender didn’t really matter all that much to him compared to strength and intelligence before, but it was still weird. What frustrated her more was his lack of quirk - explosions had defined Bakugou for so long that frankly, she was still going to research Iwa’s explosion corps and do something about that to add to her repertoire. Somewhere along the line Ino attached to her like the limpet Kirishima and Mina always had - getting up in her personal space without caring one way or another, understanding when she refused to speak, encouraging her temper every once in a while. The one annoying thing is that Ino interpreted her need to get stronger than the current projected Rookie of the Year as a crush.  Which - no. Sasuke was objectively good looking for a kid, but he was also intellectually a hell of a lot younger than Katsuki-Sakura, and he always uncomfortably reminded her of Todoroki.
Shouto thrives at first - glad not to be the only one with expectations, even if he winces at the idea of an older brother shouldering so much responsibility.  He lives for having an older brother to look up to, to get close to.  He’s a little miffed that his clan’s specialty is fire-based, but hey, at least his father doesn’t expect him to be his successor - until he does. Until Itachi starts going on more and more missions, poking his forehead and saying “Another time, little brother,” more and more often. And then the massacre happens, and Sasuke wonders why he ever trusted that things would be so stable and ok.  He’s going to get strong, drag Itachi kicking and screaming back to Konoha, and rip his eyes out so he never does that again.
...
Kakashi is late again. Sasuke was more irritable than usual - after Wave, their sensei had promised to help him learn the Ice Release that Haku had done, and he’d really wanted to have that in his arsenal to have something more familiar. Sakura and Naruto had begun sparring in their boredom, and in the middle of it, Naruto slipped and hit one of Sakura’s sore spots from the mission.  She snarled.
“Fucking deku, what the hell!” she said.
Naruto yelped and fell forward, following through too far on a punch, eyes wide.  Sasuke stared, blinking.
“Interesting,” said Kakashi’s voice behind them.  Sasuke was staring at Sakura in shock, and Naruto looked like he was staring at a ghost.  Sakura’s cheeks were turning pink.
“What are you looking at me like that for?!” she demanded.
“Problem children,” Kakashi said.  All three faces whipped to face him, mouths gaping, eyes wide.
“ . . . Aizawa-sensei?” asked Shouto quietly.
“What?” demanded Bakugou.  “All of us?  Who the fuck are-Icy-hot? Deku?”
“Kacchan!” Izuku’s expression on Naruto’s features was - well.  Kakashi cursed inwardly - had things gone well, fuck, he’d be the kid’s older brother figure.  This wouldn’t have gone this far.  But the elation of not being alone was too much, even with that sting of he was right in front of me and I did nothing.
“If we’re all back here,” Sasuke said quietly, “Who else might be?”
“Well, this changes things for us, but not for anyone else,” Kakashi explained.  “As far as the world knows, we’re the same as we’ve always been.  However, you studying Iwa explosion tactics and you wanting to learn ice release jutsus makes a lot more sense now.”
. . .
Gaara had always had it in him to destroy.  From dust to sand to death - it was all the same.  The Ichibi raging against a jagged seal had only exacerbated an already damaged mind, one that couldn’t handle the empty space where All for One used to be. Instead stood rage.
Yashamaru had helped, for a while. Gaara had almost even considered telling his greatest secret to his siblings - that he was once a terrible monster of a human, Shigaraki - but his uncle’s death shattered that thought quite thoroughly.  That was all it took to turn him once again into a monster, until a kid with another tailed beast inside him raged against his pain hard enough to scrape at his most protected secret: He didn’t want to be a monster or a villain.
Naruto had that blinding smile as he fought he’d only seen a few times before - on Midoriya Izuku.
. . .
When Itachi next faced Sasuke, he had expected pain and rage.
Instead, his little brother created a prison of ice mirrors, Sharingan flashing as he finished the sequence of signs.  His teammates screamed from outside the dome, and Itachi grimaced as he readied a stance - when had Sasuke learned anything about ice?  Why would he -
“You’re going to give me answers, aniki,” he said.  “One of which is this: Touya, what the hell?”
Itachi stared.  And stared.
“You-Shouto?”
“Apologies for not having the hair dye remover and livestream set up, but yes,” he replied.
. . .
Shikamaru was . . . well.  He wasn’t an idiot.  Talking about reincarnation and heroes and another life was a way to get a trip to T&I and never leave.  It didn’t mean he didn’t use his skills - Aizawa would be proud of how lazy his son had gotten in his next life, he bet.
So when he saw Team Seven act a lot differently at the beginning of the chunin exams than he recalled, he was on high alert to find out what was going on. Naruto had learned some level of volume control, Sakura had tempered whatever her issue with Sasuke was, and Sasuke had - not softened, but definitely cooled off.  Seemed more attentive to his teammates.
And Kakashi had certainly become more present, if the way they were presenting themselves with high-quality gear was any indication.
Chunin Exams, Sports Festival - didn’t matter, he was still going to prove himself. No matter the fact he didn’t have his quirk anymore, he still kept asking questions.
“Hey, Sakura.  Naruto. Sasuke. You ready for this?”
“We’re going to pass,” Sakura said. “No other option.”  He raised a brow.
“You sure about that?”
“Sakura-chan said it, so she means it,” said Naruto.  Sasuke nodded.
“What about you and your team?”
“Well, it’d be a drag to take the exam again. Guess I’ve got to get the promotion now,” he sad, sticking his hands in his pockets. “Gotta scope out the competition - I’m not here to make friends.”
All three stiffened, and Naruto’s eyes lit up.
“Shinsou!”
Shikamaru spluttered.
“Wh-what?!”
“You’re not the only one,” said Sakura immediately.  “Shoulda figured, eyebags. Would have thought Aizawa would be a Nara too, but it still fits.” Shikamaru was, of course, reeling.
“Aizawa’s here?!  Wait, who are you three, then, if you know?”
“I’m Deku,” said Naruto, and yeah, that tracked.
“Who the fuck else?” asked Sakura, and yep, her temper and Bakugou’s were just about the same amount of hair-trigger.  Which left -
“And you’re Todoroki,” he said.  Sasuke nodded.
“Kakashi’s Aizawa.  He’s gonna be really glad that you’re here, Shinsou. Talk to him when you get the chance.”
. . .
“You might be a monster, but so am I,” Naruto insisted as Gaara’s wild gaze turned on him.
“No, no, I was born a monster,” Gaara insisted. “I destroyed everything I touched, it all was decay, I ended a world -”
Oh. Oh.
“And All for One’s gone now,” he said.
The Ichibi’s form flickered, and the sand surrounding the boy flailed whiplike and dangerous.
. . .
Naruto entered the seal and frowned.  It - his body, his spirit felt different. Somewhere between Naruto and Izuku. The mindscape shimmered, and a blond figure stepped forward - the First Hokage. But another step forward, and he shifted into someone else equally, no, more familiar. Naruto choked.
“All Might?!” he gasped. “You’re the Fourth?  But - how - how is this?” he was helpless for words. Minato stiffened, staring at how the spirit before him shifted back and forth between a young man with whisker marks and blue eyes and a mop of green fluffy hair.
“Izuku? You’re Naruto?” he asked quietly. His son nodded vigorously.
“It seems I’ve bestowed quite the power and burden on you twice over,” he mused.  “Come here.  It’s not every day a father gets to see his son for the first time in over a decade,” he said, arms open.  Naruto blinked.
“My - my father?”
“Yes,” he said with a sad smile. “I only ever told your mother about my past life. She even believed me!”
Izuku-Naruto stumbled forward and sobbed into Minato-Yagi’s shoulder, clutching him tightly.
“It’s not just us,” he said, “Aizawa and Todoroki and Kacchan and Shinsou and - there’s more out there, I’m sure of it. Not everyone, but more. And I’m going to save them all this time.”
Minato smiled.
________________________________________________________________
People always act like fate is a stone maze from which no man can escape. But the truth is that reality is the maze and fate is a collection of runaway bullets that ricochets off one wall into a person before bouncing off another wall and breaking another one. People can choose to bow to it and await their end or continue on to see what havoc it has wrought until their time is up. In this world full of mysterious and wonderful Quirks, the people living in it are not exempt from this truth. In fact, in this realm, those bullets can split into pieces that can have long lasting consequences.
One of the more fascinating paths is the one involving All For One and his brother.  A man was born in Japan during the most tumultuous time of Quirk manifestation. He had a powerful Quirk that could change the face of Japan or even the world for good or ill. Unfortunately, ill became his mark as he succumbed to the lure of power. The man nearly bent Japan and possibly the world under his foot, but he made a mistake. He split the bullet by forcing a Quirk onto his younger brother. From then on the two pieces raced in parallel to one another bouncing from incident to incident, person to person. The Quirks within his brother being cultivated into One For All, a Quirk that could change fate...
It was again split when the two collided with a heroine named Shimura Nana. The brother’s bullet splits, a piece ended up with the son she abandoned for what she believed was his own good and safety… the other in the hands of a young man named Yagi Toshinori. He later goes on to become All Might, one of Japan’s Greatest Heroes. Meanwhile, her son let his part turn bitter and brittle. He ends up launching it at his family, his son Tenko specifically. It would lead to an incident that would leave Shimura Tenko alone, broken, and vulnerable.
Easy pickings for the embittered All For One.
While the villain was poisoning his possible replacement into Shigaraki Tomura, Yagi was plowing through rankings and villains, barely able to function around the injuries he had sustained in his final clash with the villain. His bullet also split, half ending up in the hands of his bitter rival, Endeavor. When the time finally came that he had to give One For All up, he was drawn to another young Quirkless boy with an impossible dream.
He gave the other to the boy when he passed down All For One.
Midoriya Izuku clung to it like a lifeline. Training to wield it effectively as he could. His journey to UA would put him in the firing range of Endeavor’s pride, his son Todoroki Shouto. The boy was forced to hold the bitter piece of the projectile by his father. Midoriya, by choice, gives him a piece of his to free him from his father’s folly. The two combine in the boy bring the shards back down to 4.
At the moment our story begins, there are 4 shards of fate that are on a collision course for one another and in the middle of them was the fate of Japan. So what will happen? After all, a handful of choices have lead to this point.
Another possible divergence point is brewing on the horizon, All For One, Shigaraki Tomura, Todoroki Shouto, and Midoriya Izuku all holding onto a piece of fate... what will they choose?
It turns out, one decides to listen….
Shouto was panting and sweating. Bakugou was an opponent that was miles above his other opponents, including Midoriya. He was not going to be able to rely on his ice for much longer. He was already starting to flag horribly, but Bakugou was just getting more and more wound up and his explosions were getting more and more powerful. It was the worst match up possible.
As he continued to shield himself using his ice, Shouto thought he could hear someone calling out to him over the noise. Ganbatte Todoroki-kun! It’s yours! You can do it! Shouto blinked. Midoriya. Was he right? Could he really make this fire his own and not become him? Was it right to do so? The uncertainties were singing through his veins making him shiver… or was that his ice slowly freezing him to death?  But he refocused. He was not sure about the fire or anything else but what he was sure of was that his… friend?... had given up his chance to be where he was to help Shouto.
And Shouto was going to be damned if he squandered it.
Flames leapt from his fingertips, just as eager as they were during the match with Midoriya. He hits the pillar with it and the arena is instantly covered in smoky steam. Shouto quickly darts around the pillar. Hitting it with another burst of fire. He strained his ears to try figure out where Bakugou was. He then heard the sound of ice cracking. He turned and noticed he was directly behind Bakugou. The orange glare of Bakugou’s Quirk shining like a beacon on a lighthouse in a sea storm. Shouto slammed his foot down and then suddenly the sky darkened and the explosions stopped. As the wind blew the fog away, a smaller glacier than the one he trapped Sero in, was before him and the crowd. He cautiously worked his way around to the other side. Once again, his opponent was encased in ice unable to move. Bakugou’s heated glare was a far cry from Sero’s defeated one.
The crowd cheered as Shouto moved to free his classmate from his prison. He resolutely ignored his gloating father’s roaring. Once Bakugou was free, he bowed and left. His normally volatile classmate, silent for once. Shouto stumbled on numb legs to the 1A waiting room and collapsed onto a vacant bench.
He did it.
He used that bastard’s fire to win. He broke his promise again. What other promises would he break? His vow not to become mindlessly violent? His vow not to be like his father? How long before he was excusing all of that, too? It’s mine. Said a small voice. It’s mine and I can do with it what I want… Shouto shuddered. He knew what he didn’t want to do with it at least. The rest was still foggy in his head. He sighed miserably. A familiar, tinny sound echoed through the room. Shouto stood up and retrieved his phone from the locker he stashed it in. He looked at the device.
There were several texts, most of them from Fuyumi. All of them were nice and encouraging, although she did scold him about the glacier and Sero (Someone could have lost an eye, Shouto! Be careful!). Then there was a single one from Natsuo. The most Shouto knew about him was that he was going to medical school and that he openly hated their father as much as he did. They did not talk much otherwise.
It had been a simple congratulations text. It was the most recent. He replied with a simple thanks and asked as he was busy. Shouto was not sure why he wanted to know. When he answered that he was not busy. Shouto found himself hitting the call button.
“Hello, Shouto?” Natsuo greeted.
“Hi… I hope I didn’t disturb—”
“You didn’t! So, congratulations on your win!”
“Yeah thanks… I guess,”
“You don’t sound very excited.”
“I honestly… I don’t know how to feel,” Shouto said, surprised to feel the prickle of tears in his eyes.
“Is it about the fire…?”
“How did you know?”
“Fuyumi has mentioned more than once that you refuse to use it.”
“Yeah… I used his— my fire to…”
“To win a school competition, Shouto. It’s not like you burned the arena down and killed people with it.” his brother’s voice a weird mix of amused and exasperated. When Natsuo put it like that, Shouto did feel a bit silly. But there was so much history tied to his Quirk that it was difficult to separate it all.
“I know that in my head, I guess. I am just so used to hearing about how he gave me power and…”
“I know, kid… trust me, I know. He had a fit when mine manifested. He almost… never mind. Shouto your power is your own and your life is your own and you can do with it what you want. Ok?”
“He won’t see it that way. He will make me train with it more…”
“Of course, you need control over it. You have a good handle on your ice, but even that can slip at times,” Natsuo cautioned. Shouto winced as he remembered the first glacier. He was right as much as Shouto hated to admit it. He did need to learn to control it, before he did hurt someone. But he did not want to learn from him… but he may need to.
“You’re right… I just don’t know if I want to learn control from him…” Shouto sighed. “ I don’t think he knows the meaning of it.” Natsuo laughed at that. That made Shouto smile.
“You may not have to, there are plenty of heros that have powerful abilities that require focus and control. Fire Users don’t have to train with fire users… while studying with one could probably lower your learning curve. But that is all, it’s up to you.” he said.
“I guess I have to think about things. I just don’t know what to do or feel?” he said. “Midoriya said the same thing that its my power… that I can choose what to do with it… but it can’t be that easy.” Shouto said, a single tear making its way down his face.
“Yeah, I know the feeling. You question if you can change things that easily. But I can say the first attempt is always the hardest. After that, it gets easier! You made a pretty big one today. Don’t beat yourself up too much! Take your time and do what you can ok?” Natsuo said, he could hear the smile in his voice.  Shouto found himself smiling, too. It had been awhile since he really spoke with any of his siblings, truly talked with them. He should probably do it more often.
“Thanks, nii-san… It was nice talking to you.” he said awkwardly.  There was a soft chuckle from the other end.
“You, too! When I get settled at my internship, I will send you the address! We can hang out sometime. Of course, you can always give me a call and if I don’t pick up, I will call you back as soon as I get a chance. I promise,” Natsuo said. “I love you, little brother. I am sorry I never said it as much as I should have.” Shouto was thrown but touch nonetheless by the sentiment.
“Same. I will talk to you later then?” he asked, slightly affronted at how eager he sounded. Natsuo’s immediate confirmation made him feel happy and warm. The two said their goodbyes and Shouto hung up. He still felt conflicted, but it did not seem so heavy in his mind anymore. The sound of footsteps brought him out of his thoughts. He was tense, expecting to have to deal with his father, but the footsteps sounded far too hesitant. He relaxed completely as Midoriya Izuku opened the door.
“Ah! I thought I might find you here.” he said softly as he shuffled into the room. Shouto winced at the state of his classmate. His arm was still in cast and he was wearing a leg brace.
“Should you be walking?” Shouto asked, concerned. He then winced at how tactless it sounded. Midoriya laughed.
“Probably, not,” he said sheepishly. “But Recovery Girl said I was fine as long as I didn’t over do it.” Shouto gave him a weak smile. The action still felt a little foreign on his face, but the beam he got in answer from Midoriya lit him up from the inside out.
“Did you need something Midoriya?” he asked, wondering why he was looking for him.
“Oh, well not really… I was just worried when you left. You did not look too happy…” he said. Shouto blinked. They were practically strangers and yet Midoriya was asking about his well being. This was definitely different.
“I am still— conflicted about some things. I am still ashamed of the way I treated Sero, and Bakugou was—” he tried to explain.
“Trapped in a glacier, too. Yeah, I could see how that would be a little awkward. But I am glad you did your best, though,” Midoriya said sincerely. Shouto nodded. “And I also wanted to apologize. I know I was being rather pushy during our fight.” The smaller boy scratched at his cheek self-consciously. Midoriya’s nervous disposition was rubbing off on Shouto as he unconsciously shuffled his feet as he stared at the ground.
“I don’t think you should apologize… I needed to hear that. I want to apologize as well. There was no reason for me to come after you the way I did. I took a personal problem out on you and that was not fair.” Shouto said, bowing. He was adamant that he would not become his father, but today had shown him that denying part of himself while still behaving like him was not the way to go. So, it was paramount that he start by humbling himself and apologizing to the classmates that he had been unjustly rude to.
Midoriya’s eyes grew wide and his face turned pink.
“Oh! I— you really don’t need to—” he protested.
“No, I do. I meant what I said. I don’t want any part of the man that my father is. That means accepting who I am and the consequences of my actions. I behaved abysmally towards you and others in our class today. I owe you an apology for that.” said Shouto, slowly. It was not easy but it’s as both Midoriya and Natsuo said, it was his life and he can choose what to do with it.
He was choosing to be better.
BNHA Writer’s Fest Final Mission
A/N: @studiopoprocks surprise!! I’m your awesome secret santa!!! This was so much fun (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧. Hopefully, you’ll like what I’ve come up with. I tried to include as many details from our conversations as possible and look forward to writing something for you again (⌒▽⌒) - Blue
If you don’t like it, please lmk so I can write it again.
pairing: Todoroki x fem!Reader
prompt: free
word count: 1107
Y/n watched as Shouto glided through the ice, gracefully landing jumps and moving in a naturally alluring way. He looked at ease as if it was his innate ability to skate with such elegance. Shouto skated towards y/n’s direction until he reached her and held out a hand.
“Come with me.”
Y/n looked at him hesitantly. Even though she had skated before, she was terrible at it; falling every time she attempted to move. Y/n took his hand, and he pulled her towards him, supporting her as she almost slipped.
“Sorry,” muffled y/n against her boyfriend’s chest. He was wearing a soft, sand-colored sweater Fuyumi had given him.
“It’s ok,” assured Shouto, helping her regain balance; “let’s start slow.”
Once y/n could stand on her own, the fire-and-ice hero started slowly guiding her around the rink, skillfully gliding backwards while holding her hands. Once they had skimmed the perimeter twice, y/n was more relaxed. She looked into Shouto’s stunning azure and silver eyes and blushed, making the taller one adopt a similar shade of scarlet. After getting the hang of moving on the ice skates, y/n and Shouto grazed the ice side by side, enjoying the feeling of the cold gust of air that formed when they went fast.
Just as y/n was getting the hang of things, she tried to do a turn, falling to the ground with a loud thump. The sound of skin hitting the ice sent Shouto directly towards y/n.
“Are you hurt?” asked Shouto with a worried expression.
“I’m fine, nothing’s broken,” assured y/n giggling at herself.
Shouto held out his hand and helped y/n get back to her feet.
“How are you so good?” asked y/n; “I know you have an ice quirk but still…”
“My mother used to take my siblings and me to an ice rink when we were little. Once we moved to the dorms and I didn’t have to train during my free time, I took some figure skating classes,” explained Shouto; “I’m still not good at it, but I like it.”
“Not good? Compared to me, you’re a professional!” remarked y/n, astounded at her boyfriend’s humbleness; “Have you seen how many times I’ve fallen?”
“That’s because you haven’t had practice,” chuckled Shouto, “besides, you’re adorable when you fall.”
The second statement made y/n’s face turn a pretty shade of pink; the two of them kept skating and having fun until it started snowing. Shouto and y/n decided to head back to their apartment as it was getting cold. After they started dating during their third year at U.A., Shouto and y/n had become closer than ever. Moving in together for college, after they graduated U.A.
Once they arrived at their small Tokyo apartment, the two of them decided to watch a movie. It had been a holiday tradition to watch a marathon of cheesy Hallmark movies. The iconic “pretty, young career woman with a big-city media job falls in love with rugged family-man in the middle of a small, snowy town while they discover the true meaning of Christmas together,” trope in these movies was a must for a cozy Christmas night in.
Shouto was on snack duty while y/n took care of the blankets and throw pillows. She settled them on the couch while she chose the movie.
“The Perfect Christmas Present or A Gift to Remember?” asked y/n, unsure of which one to choose.
“Aren’t they all the same?” remarked Shouto, in a teasing tone.
“No!” complained y/n, with a bright smile; “they’re completely different.”
“How about we watch both?” proposed the taller man from the kitchen.
“That was already part of the plan, but which one should we watch first?” explained y/n.
“A Gift to Remember,” settled Shouto as he approached the couch holding two cups of hot cocoa with one hand, and a bucket of white cheddar popcorn and sour patch kids with the other. He placed the cups down on the wooden coffee table in front of the TV and sat down next to y/n, taking her hand.
As the movie progressed, y/n snuggled closer to Shouto, laying her head on his shoulder and squeezing his hand whenever a cute moment appeared on screen. Y/n could feel Shouto rest his head on top of hers in a moment that made her heart melt.
The shinning moon greeted y/n as she looked through the window. It was night, and the couple decided they needed a break; they had watched five movies, and their legs had become numb from sitting so long.
“Do you wanna head to bed?” asked Shouto, voice coarse after not speaking for several hours.
“Wait, I have a surprise.”
Y/n reached for a light blue bag. It was filled with white tissue paper and had a reindeer wearing a red and green scarf. She handed the bag to Shouto, who wore a surprised expression. His eyes were bright with anticipation as he opened the bag and took out a book. It was “All Might’s biography” written by Sir Nighteye. Shouto had been looking for a copy, but after not finding it anywhere, he had given up.
“Y/n! Thank you,” exclaimed Shouto with a radiant smile.
Knowing she could make her red-and-white haired partner this happy sent a merry feeling through y/n.
“That reminds me,” added Shouto; “I have something for you as well.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, I- I was planning to give it to you tomorrow but, I guess Christmas eve is close enough to Christmas, right?”
Shouto went to their room and came back with a small box wrapped in kraft paper with golden polka-dots.
“Here,” said Shouto as he handed you the package, looking away while trying to hide his scarlet face.
As y/n teared the wrapping paper, a purple book cover was revealed, as she scanned through the familiar image, she noticed something different on the corner. “For y/n, you have an amazing boyfriend! – Ashley Poston.”
“Geekerella! You got it signed?” asked y/n, amazed at her boyfriend’s thoughtfulness.
“Yeah,” answered Shouto, putting a hand on the back of his blushing neck, “I saw they had a signing and thought it would make a nice gift.”
“Thank you!”
Y/n got closer to Shouto while looking at his heterochromatic eyes. She pushed a few white strands of his hair away from his eyes and stood on her toes, trying to reach up and kiss him. It was short but sweet and they both looked happy. Y/n looked at the clock hung on one of the walls and noticed the time.
“Merry Christmas Shouto.”
Shouto smiled as he noticed the time as well, it was 12:01AM.
“Merry Christmas y/n.”
Tbh I always loved you dabihawks AUs and was wondering if you could do more some time? (*Whisper chanting* Pjo au pjo au pjo au)
..how did u know i liked pjo ??? thats supposed to be a secret
but alright jshsj ok yeah like i havnt been thinking about it for ages
edit: i lost this so so so many fuckin times,,, but here goes. im so sorry its this late anon ive had a fucking shitty few months rip i hope to god you see this
dabi would be a legacy of apollo and vulcan, the roman version of hephaestus, on one side, and khione on the other
and endeavor, his dad, who thinks hes so great cause hes a legacy of apollo and vulcun, married rei, daughter of khione,,so that his legacies have fire and ice
dabi has this weird fuckin blue fire
apollo kids dont have fire but because of his vulcan he has fire, and its even stronger bc of apollo, therefore blue
he and fuyumi are twins
she has ice
genes fucked up and gave him fire despite their bodies being built for wach others quirks
and he can withstand cold temperatures
and constantly wishes he had ice instead so he wouldnt keep destroying his body trying to adjust to his powers especially cause his father made him use them at an early age
shouto is ice and fire, and natsuo is the healer, hes strong, plus a few seer abilities
this also fits in with my hc that natsu is a docter!! so like
thanks vulcan
but mostly apollo, for being so over achieving. your efforts are appreciated
nothing compared to hermes tho i dare u to google what hes the god of
hawks is a fuckinsksjlsksk
a fuckin
ok
ur not ready
half harpy half hermes kid
everyone asks 'duuude why did ur dad fuck a harpy what was he oN'
'uhh, obviously for the wings it'd eventually give me- i dont fUCKIN know man, can yall stop asking'
so hawks has red wings and likes chicken nuggets and considers his dad a huge asshole
'met the guy once, and once was enough'
he was born out of a drunken one night stand (fuck you hermes) and his mom, a harpy who doesnt really care, leaves him soon after she gets bored
hes soon found and picked up by rumi and ruyuuku, half blood duo extraordinare and they eventually find their way to camp
and hes way better at camp, grows up from a hobo chicken to a ray of sunshine
he learns to be good with people and he brushes off any bullying with jokes about himself and gains respect for being such a chill guy
so social skills and diplomacy!!
plus hes good at memorizing things, thanks to the harpy genes
also pretty loud, thanks to the harpy genes
plus, he has wINGS
so,,, wings + hermes kid + all these characteristics = a messenger for the two camps basically sent by the gods
hes the middleman between the two camps as soon as hes old enough to get taxis and can fly well enough travel across longer distances
they meet cause hawks had to go deliver some message to the praetor of the roman camp
and hes stopped by the river where percy met frank and hazel in the books
idk the name its been a while fuck off
by a demigod guard on duty
hes about to fly across
when someone yells
"hey mESSENGER PIDGEON! OVER HERE!"
what the fuck
hawks looks around, flapping his wings in confusion
"yEAH YOU, YA SEE ANYONE ELSE WITH WINGS HERE? DUMBASS"
okay, woW, now hawks is confused out of his mind and pink with annoyance, what the fuck
"dOWN HERE BIRDBRAIN, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING IN THE FUCKIN' SKY FOR"
oh oops right why would there be someone in the air
hawks looks down sheepishly
theres a roman guard, looking to be about his age, 16 or so, completely ignoring his job and apparently tossing pebbles at the river a few feet away, from the piles hawks can vaguely see scattered around him
he sees him cup his hands around his mouth and shout
"HURRY THE FUCK UP"
okay okay calm your tits
hawks flies down to the guy and lands and hes v confused ok
but the guard guy is way more interesting up close than he was from the sky
hes not wearing his helmet, taller than hawks, his hair a messy jet black, his eyes bright blue and his smile lazy but really cute
and sue him or whatever okay but,,
hawks is a sucker for blue eyes
and then hes being teased
"what were you lookin around for?"
hawks' feathers puff up in indignation and he kicks him in the shin
'shut up asshole, i came down didnt i. what do u want'
the guy laughs
"i just wanted to see your wings, your feathers are fuckin dope"
hawks is kind of endeared at this point, is this guy for real
he offers hawks a pebble and goes
"u wanna try?"
hawks stares
then he shrugs internally, cause why the fuck not, hes here all week why not make a friend while hes at it
he takes the pebble and their fingers brush and its all so cliche
hawks tosses the pebble and then hes being laughed at and taught how to throw pebbles
and they hang out getting to know each other for a solid few hours until someone comes to see why the fuck the messenger guy isnt here yet
aka shigaraki
who drags himself down to the river to see dabi fucking around with the pidgeon guy and he sighs
drags a waving, beaming hawks to the camp while dabi grins wide and waves back
then theyre talking all the time and hawks is making up excuses to fly over at least once a month and dabi is using all the drachma endeavor has to call hawks,
"its for a good cause"
and endeavor hates it because hes a greek hating dick
he thinks the camps shouldnt interact
when dabi discovers this hes fuckin delighted
"fuckin lit, a new way to piss him off!!"
*dabi voice* ive been thinking about that exchange program, maybe i should make the switch!
*constipated endeavor noises*
endeavor is old enough to be respected by a small few, and old enough for most people to wonder why the fuck he isnt dead yet
they eventually go on their first quest together
alone
no one wants to go with them because no one is willing to thirdwheel
shigarakis actual answer was "are you kidding me id rather die"
A Broken love: Chapter 1
Paring: Todoroki shouto X Midoriya izuku
Summary: Everyone is born with a soulmate. Your ability to feel your soulmates pain and vice-versa. You're also able to talk to your soulmate through ink on the skin. Izuku had 2 soulmates he never asked for, and was bullied because of it. It's not like he had a choice...
Warnings: Mentions of suicide and self harm.
Everyone is born with a soulmate. You are able to connect with your soulmate through ink on the skin. You're able to feel each others pain. Izuku was often bullied for having multiple soul mates. It's not like he had a choice.
“A quirkless loser like you doesn't deserve a soulmate, let alone two,” Bakugou said as he brought a crackling fist down on Midoriya chest "I can't believe that two people have to deal with a useless person like you!" Bakugou struck Midoriya dead in the face.
"Kacchan stop!!" Midoriya cried as bakugou continued to deliver painful punches to midoriya's already frail body. It seemed like forever before the blond and his goons finally stopped and left. After ten minutes Midoriya eventually got up and started walking home.
When he got home his mother was on the couch watching tv "Oh hello dear" Inko said looking over to Midoriya. While his mother tried her best, she didn't really care about her son. She was never worried about the burns or bruises on his body. Never cared enough to stop the bullies, or to tell him that he would be ok. No, she would just sit there and smile. "Dinner's almost ready, go sit at the table, "Inko said as she got up and walked to the kitchen. Midoriya and Inko sat down at the dinner table as she serves the food
“I'm not sure if you should talk to your soul mates anymore.” Midoriya stared at the woman in front of him. It was his mother, Inko Midoriya, who had just told him not to contact the only people who cared for and loved him.
“What, why?!” Midoriya shouted, rising from his seat.
“Because two is way more than needed," Inko said softly, eyes focusing on her stressed son.
"Mom they're my soulmates! I can't just ignore them!" Midoriya yelled, throwing his hands in the air.
" Now you listen here young man," Inko stood up grabbing her son by the arm " You will not talk to these soul mates from now on. Do you understand?" Midoriya tore his arm away from his mother, tears brimming his eyes.
"Whatever." He mumbled before stomping off to his room, slamming and locking the door. Midoriya stared up at the ceiling as he flopped onto his bed, angry tears flowing freely. 'What am I going to do now?' he thought. Without his soul mate, how would he ever feel happy? They were the only ones in this cruel world that loved him! More tears made their way down his face as he began to silently cry. He looked at his arm to see the words that were written by his soul mates.
'I'm in so much pain, are you guys ok?' Was written in icy blue ink. 'My chest hurts'. Was followed by purple ink. Midoriya's frown deepened as he realized he would never have fun happy life.' Green?' Midoriya wanted so badly to respond, but he knew better than to disobey his mother. Midoriya got up and grabbed some bandages from his closet. He then swiftly wraps his arms up. With a sigh, he flopped down onto his bed. Out of sight out of mind, right? Yeah, if he can't see what they're saying, then he won't have to worry anymore then he has to. Why did he have to be so unlucky, why? He just wanted to be happy and now he can't even be with the loves of his life? This was so unfair, why couldn't he have anything good in his life? No quirk and now no soul mates?
Midoriya soon fell into depression. Midoriya was constantly bullied by Bakugou, who had become angrier if that was possible. It was always painful. He had no one to help him through it. He would often go home and cry himself to sleep. He wouldn't eat for days on end, becoming even more frail and thin. It didn't help that neither his teachers nor his mothers ever cared about his well being, and the kids at school seemed to feed off his sadness.
It was agonizing. He had no way to stop the pain, that was until he discovered cutting. To him, it was the most amazing thing. He caused the hurt, he controlled it. It made him feel powerful and happier. It didn't stop the horrible thoughts or the self-hatred, but he felt lighter and fuller.
One day midoriya decided to check his arm, just to see how his soulmates were fairing. 'Hitsohi, I'm scared. I miss green, I want them to be okay, it hurts' ' I know, don't worry, we'll find them soon' He looked away as he immediately wrapped his arms. Hope. He didn't need hope. It only got him hurt in the end. He sighed, laying down and going to sleep.
One day bakugou had found out Midoriya was going to enroll in ua. To say he was angry was an understatement, he was furious. Midoriya was trying to pack his things when Bakugou grabbed his book out of his hands. "Hey, that's mine, give it back" Midoriya tried to get his hero notebook.
"No fucking way you useless shit." Bakugou then took the book in between his hands and exploded it.
"Noo!" Midoriya screamed in despair as his book was destroyed. Bakugou proceeded to throw the book out the window behind him, electing another strangled scream from the greenett. Bakugou grabbed Midoriya and threw him to the ground.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing thinking you could ever go to ua, useless deku" Bakugou half yelled, small explosions spewing from his hands.
"Kacchan wait! Please!" Midoriya whined, scampering backwards until his back hit the wall.
" You listen here you little shit, I'm going to be the first and only one to go to ua from this school, and you're not going to get in my way. Not that you could since your just a quirkless deku." Bakugou grabs him by the shirt "Now why do you do both of us a favor and not apply?" Bakugou said as he put a hand on Midoriya's shoulder, smoke coming out as he burned his shoulder. Bakugou took his hands away and made his way to the door. Midoriya stayed Facing the window
"Ya know, there's a quick way to get a quirk" Midoriya turned around to stare at him with confusion "Take a swan dive off the roof and pray you'll have a quirk in your next life" Bakugou waves as he leaves the classroom. Midoriya stares at the empty space the blond was standing.' Jump of the roof?' He thought as he slowly grabbed his bag and made his way out of the classroom. His feet led him on autopilot until he reached the roof…...
'I'm sorry' he thought as he grabbed a green pen from his bag
Todoroki sat in the kitchen with his sister, idly watching her prepare food. It'd been a calm day, just normal school things. That was until he felt a burning on his shoulder. He hissed, rubbing his shoulder in an attempt to relieve the pain. Fuyumi stopped what she was doing and quickly got an ice pack, already knowing what to do. Shouto accepted it and gingerly placed it on his shoulder. He felt scratching on his arms, follower by 'I'm sorry if I hurt you, cat issues' in purple ink on his skin.
A different colored ink appeared on his skin, one he hadn't seen in years. It read two simple words. 'I'm sorry' Shouto didn't understand. Was he sorry for ignoring them for years? He stood to grab his pen, but immediately collapsed, pain shooting through his entire body. He screamed out in agony, writhing on the ground. He opened his eyes, and through the tears, he saw his mangled limbs, bent at odd angles.
He sobbed, vision swimming with pain as blood soaked his clothes. He heard his sister's screams and felt her touch on his skin. Frost coated his limbs as they slowly began to heal. He felt his vision blackout, then back in as he tried to calm himself. But the only thing on his mind besides the pain was his soulmate whom he hadn't heard from in years. Had he finally done it? Had he finally ended his life? That thought alone hurt more than the blood running down his face from hisplitit skull. He passed out soon, the pain becoming too much for him.
 -
When he woke again, he was in his room, a warm cloth draped over his forehead. He blinked, bleary. He looked down to his bandaged arms. They were tented a red color. He was unable to see His arms, meaning he couldn't talk to his soulmates. He sat up quickly, moving to grab a pen on his bedside. But before he could more pain radiated through his skull and he couldn't help but cry out again. Fuyumi came in quickly, gasping and pushing him to lay back down. "Shouto! You need to stay down" Shouto shook his head, making the pain worse.
"N-no!" he groaned, weakly fighting against her hold. "I need to talk to them." Fuyumi stopped, just staring at him with a somber look in her eyes, before shaking her head.
"You can't," said sadly, her grip tightening. "Please just lay down"
"W-why? I need to know their okay, if not green, At lease Hitoshi. I have to Fuyumi. p-please." tears filled his eyes. He needed to know they were okay, they were alive and breathing. His voice was weak and heavy. "The first time in years he says anything to me and now this. Fuyumi-"
"Shouto!" Fuyumi had tears running down her face as she fought to keep her voice level. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Your skull, it was cracked," She held her stare, letting him guess. His eyes searched her face, begging that she wasn't implying what he thought she was. " Shouto it's still there. I think- i... Shouto they're gone......"
Shouto was unable to speak. He couldn't make a single noise. He couldn't believe it. Why? Why did it have to end like this? His goals were because of him. He wanted he become a hero so he could save him. " H-how do you know?"
"Sho....." Fuyumi breathed, resting a hand on his face. "If you get a scar from your soulmate and it doesn't fade, it means they've died and you're stuck with the scare. Shouto i-"
"What they just flatlined, what if they were dead, and are okay. What then?" He blurted out. Hope, he had to hope. Even if he had Hitoshi still, he couldn't live with the death of his soulmate. Fuyumi paused, furrowed her brow, then sighed.
"I don't know... but from what I've heard, it'll last for a few days, then disappear." Shouto's lip quivered.
"C-can I see it? please?" Fuyumi nodded slowly moving off of him. He sat back up, Slowly, and stood. He slowly walked into the bathroom. A thick, choking, silence fell over the house as Shouto stared into the mirror.
Shouto's god-awful scream ripped through the silence. He screamed and screamed as he dropped to his knees, still looking at his reflection. A bloody bandage covered his head, blood still soaking the bandage. His trembling hands moved to remove it. He sobbed harder as his hands made contact with the warm, sticky bandages. When they finally came off and spooled around his broken frame, he was quiet. He couldn't scream, there was bile in his throat.
Shouto couldn't tear his eyes from the mirror. He weakly crawled over to the toilet as he wreaked, letting out what little food he ate. When there was no more food to puke he just dry heaved, blood trickling past his lips. Fuyumi gripped his shoulders as he shook. When he was finally done he leaned back, falling into her arms. He was losing blood again, and his vision began to swim. The last thing he heard was his sister's sad voice.
"I'm sorry
made headcanons about shouto. literally. he’d like to guess what shouto liked to eat and how he spent his days. he and fuyumi would talk for hours,, “fuyumi, i bet shouto likes strawberries. he seems like he would, right?” “natsuo, he’s our kid brother.” “dad won’t let us see him though….” “yeah i think shouto likes strawberries too, natsuuu~”
a huge sports fan.. seems like a given, but he likes american football. and he Loves hockey. his ice quirk predisposed him to extreme winter sports
`30 years too early
todomomo week day 3: Future. What happens when Aizawa introduces a random boy named Kazu to them, asking for them to help him get back home?
genre: comedy/fluff -On a seemingly normal day, todoroki and momo went to school prepared for their weekly math quiz. Math wasn’t todoroki’s best subject, but after Momo’s help the day before, he was slightly more reassured that he’d be able to get an A on this, perhaps even an A+. But right before their first class started, Todoroki over hears Momo and Jirou discussing about some ‘stalker’
-”Who’s stalking you, Yaoyorozu.” Todoroki didn’t even hide the fact that he was eavesdropping. “Is it …” He nodded his head towards Mineta with a glare, and Momo shook her head. She then told him some boy, around their age, had been following her to the dorms.
-That’s really strange seeing how UA’s security system should be top notch? Unless this kid was also a student?
-So after school, Todoroki, Momo and Jirou walk back to the dorms together. He needed to confront whoever this creepo was. Oddly enough, the stalker didn’t show up that day, and Todoroki was left a little disappointed.
-Aizawa called Todoroki and Momo to the office the next day during lunch and Momo had an eerie feeling that something was up. She had sensed sensei eyeing the two of them once in awhile during class AND he would be randomly chuckling too sometimes. What the heck was going on?
-”Maybe I failed the math quiz,” Todoroki suggested, hands in his pockets while walking down the hall beside Momo, “I can’t think of anything else.”
“But why would Aizawa sensei call me too? And no way would Todoroki-san fail that quiz! I have faith!”
Momo raised her arm enthusiastically to illustrate her point and Todo grinned.
-The big reveal sat in his office when the two had arrived…
“That’s the person who’s been following me…” Momo said and Todoroki scrutinized the kid who sat beside Aizawa stiffly.
Aizawa was attempting to stay loyal to keeping the secret but his comical expression betrayed him. Then the teacher broke into full on laughter. Todoroki raised a brow.
“Sorry, just that I’m so happy for you two,” Their teacher said.
Even more confusion.
The boy shuffled in his seat and opened his mouth to speak, eyeing Todoroki and Momo like they had something he wanted.
“Gramps please.”
“God, I’m still not used to you calling me that,” Aizawa said, “Guys, this is Kazu. And no, before you ask, this is not my grandson. Not really anyway.”
Todoroki and Momo nodded to him and mumbled a greeting.
“Well? Fully introduce yourself.”
Aizawa had that damn smirk again and Kazu seemed less uncomfortable now, standing to approach them. Todoroki was getting extremely impatient.
“If this isn’t important, I want to get back to having lunch.” Todoroki shifted closer to the door and Aizawa stopped him.
“Hey, don’t you want to talk to your son?”
Todoroki exchanged glances with Momo. Is this some early April Fools prank?
“What son?” Momo darted her gaze from Todoroki back to Aizawa and then to Kazu.
“Your son. Both of you,” Kazu finally spoke, his voice was deep, “My full name is Todoroki Kazu. My father is the hero Shouto, and well, my mom is Creati.”
-BTW Kazu has full short, black hair, blue eyes, and a perky nose like Momo
-”What? What the hell?!” Momo said and she mumbled an apology to her mother because Yaoyorozus don’t swear.
Aizawa’s rolling over seeing Todoroki’s jaw slack. It’s rare to see the great Todoroki acting ‘uncool’
-Kazu began to explain that ‘apparently’ some friend of his sent him back in time? With his quirk? And the only way for him to return to his own time is if he fulfills his purpose of coming back…which was…?
Ah screw this. This was friggin’ crazy. Nothing was entering Todoroki and Momo’s brain in coherent sentences. How can they believe this. Heck for all they know, this could be some random kid making this stuff up.
But if it’s true then Kazu’s friend needs to be friggin’ locked up for being so OP.
After Aizawa stood back up from lying on the floor in his worm suit (and he finally stopped laughing) Kazu took out his phone and showed them a family picture of them. Todoroki, appearing way taller than now, with his 5-o-clock shadow, an arm slung around an older (and even more beautiful) Momo. The latter had both of her arms around Kazu, who was holding a giant wrapped present, and she had shoulder length hair as well. The bright grin that graced her lips was shiny with lipgloss. This family picture looked really natural, and the background seemed to be at someone’s house, presumably their own.
-Okay so during this Phase of Awkwardness, Todoroki and Momo went from standing next to each other to standing FAR from each other. Momo gulped for the third time. The only thing in her mind was:
Their SON flew back from the FUTURE. THEIR son. THEIR SON. SON. THEIR. TODOROKI-SAN AND I. US. SON. WHAT. DOES…DOES THAT MEAN TODOROKI-SAN AND I GET MARRIED? I CAN’T…I CAN’T TAKE THIS
-Todoroki of course was crossing his arms, still in complete denial, super weirded out but trying not to show that on his face, and just studied Kazu with eyes that could drill a hold through his head.
Kazu returned a gaze just as stern.
Perhaps this WAS his son.
-Aizawa then explained that he caught Kazu snooping around and given the anomaly that their security system was picking up, he had to confront him. Aizawa suggested Kazu stay here in one of the guest houses with little to no contact with the outside world in case it changes things in the future (ok don’t think too much about details ‘cas time skipping crap is annoying and I’m not a physicist).
“So how do we help you get back home,” Todoroki started, “Assuming you’re speaking the truth.”
“Dad you’ve never changed. I wonder why Mom loves you so much sometimes given your emotionless facade.”
Todoroki grunted. Seeing Momo’s look of disapproval, Kazu quickly straightened and cleared his throat.
“So I would like you to help me take a picture of Uncle Izuku’s room? Just the posters. My friend needs it. That’s my purpose here since my friend can’t send herself back to the past.”
Aizawa nodded his head a few times interested at the turn of events.
“Is your friend…related to Midoriya-san?” Momo asked but Kazu pinches his fingers together and does a zipping motion across his mouth.
“I shouldn’t say more than I have to. As Gramps said, it’d change things.”
- After knowing how to help Kazu, their teacher ordered Todoroki and Momo to head back to class now that lunch break was almost over. How was their homeroom teacher expecting them to act after knowing this? Momo avoided Todoroki’s gaze and ran up the hallway herself.
Like her, Todoroki had so many questions. For example, when did Yaoyorozu and him get married? How did they even reach that stage? Does Kazu have siblings…meaning did they have more children? Is he the top hero or is Midoriya or is someone else? Do they have contact with Bakugou or Mineta? Where’s his mother? Where’s Endeavor? Does Fuyumi have a family of her own too? And how about Midoriya…does he marry Uraraka like most people predicted?
So many questions.
But the biggest question really was …what the heck is Kazu’s quirk?
-Of course that night Todoroki and Momo didn’t sleep well. Momo found Todoroki sitting on the couch at the lobby and she reluctantly joined him. He scooched over and let Momo sit beside him with her mug of hot tea (decaf) in hand. They discuss all the things that were swirling in their heads and figured tomorrow would be a good time to ask Midoriya about his posters.
“What do you think our-” Todoroki paused and continued, sensing Momo’s heated gaze, “son’s quirk is?”
“I don’t know, maybe fire like yours? He did seem to have a fiery look in his eyes.”
“I actually think it might be forging things, like you.”
“Huh. Really?”
“Yeah, its a great quirk, I’d hope Kazu has that.”
They both stop to laugh and yes this was totally ludicrous, and seeing how Kazu’s around their age, calling him their son seemed to be awfully funny. Heck, getting used to the idea of both of them being parents together was already absurd enough.
-Midoriya allowed them to take pics of his merchandise with Momo making the excuse of “Todoroki-san and I both want to study All Might’s history and his rise to fame so thank you for letting us take pics of your collection!”
‘Course Kazu only wanted the posters so they gonna forward only those pics to him. Just didn’t seem as suspicious if they took pics of everything.
Midoriya assured them that there was no way they could find some of the limited edition merch anymore and both of them just nodded wearily.
-Okay so after Momo sent Kazu the pics. Momo’s like “Well, I think you need to at least give us a reason why your friend needs these?” And then Kazu sighed.
“Fine, she wanted to find a replica or something of one of these posters ‘cas her dad lost it. That’s all.”
Momo smiled. Her dad must be Midoriya then.
(The three of them are in an alley somewhere btw. Looking suspicious LOL)
Todoroki then goes “And…one more thing. What’s your quirk?”
“Oh, that’s simple, its ice creation.”
“Isn’t that just making ice like me then?”
“Nope, its a fusion of you and mom’s quirks. Why don’t I demonstrate since no one’s around anyway.”
Kazu opened his palm.
Todoroki and Momo focused on it. They blink.
All of a sudden, a dog figure made completely of ice appeared out of his skin and the dog started to move and sit and play dead and all that.
“That’s beautiful.” Todoroki said. He’s very proud. “It’s a very impressive quirk, just like yours, Yaoyorozu.”
Momo blushed at the compliment and Kazu smirked after melting the dog within his finger tips.
“I guess you’re pretty cool too when you’re young, Dad. And of course Mom is as patient as she always will be. Any time now,” Kazu said, “I’ll go poof and be gone back to my own time. year 2048.”
Momo patted his head affectionately. It’s sorta sad how she met him for such a short amount of time (but Kazu reassured her that there are many years to come where they will spend lots of time together).
 There’s a connection between them, there really is no doubt about it. She sent Todoroki a knowing smile and he took a deep breath.
30 years later, they’ll have a son named Kazu. Who knew.
Bonus:
thanks for reading my weird fanfic/headcanon thing!
- so the friend of Kazu is actually the child of Midoriya, the mom…I don’t know :P
 -Kazu was able to get through UA security despite it showing an anomaly is ‘cas Kazu is gonna be a UA student 30 years later and they use a security system with the same foundation just updated of course
-Kazu’s stats are pretty much like Momo’s
What is your dabi theory?
ok so this is a bit complicated, but bear with me.
endeavor isn’t the only character we know who has a fire quirk. midoriya hisashi has one too. but dabi clearly has a connection to the todoroki family, and later chapters have made it clear that the relationship between enji and rei is more complicated than shouto realized (which makes perfect sense, when you think about it, since when he told midoriya his story he hadn’t seen his mother for nearly a decade and honestly who’d tell a six-year-old child about quirk marriage/marital rape????)
i personally believe that endeavor was raised similarly to the way he raised shouto, mainly because endeavor is forty-five and he and rei had fuyumi when enji was 23-ish. if dabi was his kid (and is older than fuyumi/not a twin), endeavor would’ve been somewhere between 18 and 20 when he was born, meaning he would’ve been 17-19 when he knocked her up. so either he’s just graduated high school or he’s still in his third year, which is… pretty damn early to give up on beating all might. not that it makes endeavor’s treatment of his family okay, but i would be astounded if he didn’t have shitty parents as well.
the point is, endeavor would’ve been really, really young when he married rei, and if it was an arranged marriage, then i’m guessing enji’s parents were involved in the decision.
rei’s parents want her to marry a todoroki, and enji’s parents want their son to marry rei. but if endeavor is like his parents, isn’t it likely that he too would have a sibling?
assuming rei’s quirk is the ability to create and manipulate ice, how would that pair with enji’s, which is basically the same but with fire? i assume natsuo and fuyumi inherited quirks similar to their mother’s, while shouto got a mix of both.
but if your quirk is a combination of “create and manipulate” and a fire quirk, who’s to say that it’s not a different one? hisashi’s quirk is breathing fire. rei can create and manipulate ice. dabi can create and manipulate blue flames.
theory: midoriya hisashi was born todoroki hisashi, enji’s brother. hisashi and rei were in love, so when their families decided on an arranged marriage, they were thrilled– right until they realized that rei was to marry enji. hisashi got into a huge fight with his family and ended up having to leave, eventually marrying midoriya inko and taking her surname. but rei was already pregnant with his kid.
now here’s where it gets a bit more complicated. was dabi born with black hair, or did he dye it? we have no clue. if he was born with it, that likely means hisashi’s hair is black. now i’m not a geneticist but i think if enji could pass on a black-haired gene, he’d need to have black hair himself, since i’m pretty sure black is dominant over red. but even if dabi’s hair is dyed, there’s still plenty of physical features hisashi could have that enji doesn’t. endeavor’s kids seem to take after their mother in terms of body type - they’re all rather slender. but if the eyes were the only similarity to enji that dabi had, it’d be unlikely that people would believe they were father and son.
so enji, knowing that his family will not be pleased about this (and having a very warped idea of what it means to be a “family man”) and having no idea where the hell his brother is, takes the kid to an orphanage and swears them to secrecy. but he’s freaking endeavor, so maybe thy take it a little too seriously.
long, long story slightly shorter: dabi is the son of rei and hisashi, making him shouto’s half-brother and also izuku’s half-brother. this theory would, of course, make izuku and shouto cousins, hence why i doubt the todo//deku fans will be particularly in favor of it.
this also makes sense of where the narrative is right now. dabi’s had a very interesting role to play, but i think what a lot of people forget is that we know almost nothing about him. we know he might have a grudge against shouto (assuming that he wasn’t just screwing with him), we know he isn’t fazed by murder, and we know he claims to support stain’s ideals. but that’s about it. and the only one of those things we can be reasonably sure of is the murder bit.
lastly, horikoshi claims that hisashi is just working overseas. and yeah, that’s possible, but this is a shounen. when’s the last time the main character’s dad wasn’t hugely important? naruto’s was the fourth hokage, ichigo’s was a former captain, natsu’s was a fucking dragon, etc. We know nothing at all about Hisashi except that he’s Midoriya’s dad and he can breathe fire. And Izuku very clearly takes after his mom more because the biggest difference is curly vs straight hair.
do i think my theory will be canon? nah, probably not. but it’s plausible and would make for a really good twist, so… i’m keeping my fingers crossed XD
