Dabi getting deaged but its into his teenage self. I want the League(and also Hawks) to deal with this bratty, very explosive teenager who's so different from the aloofness of Dabi they have gotten used to. Oh shit he's crying now? Anyways, Touya and Toga spend the rest of the day trying to find ways to attract the pretty hero, Toga finding it sooo romantic and cute. Keigo just wants to be freed from the torment of having his crush's teenage self be a total cutie pie - is he doing a mating dance?? - when it is very much illegal to event think about anything nsfw relating to the teen. Hawks is trying to be a villain, but there are some lines you don't cross.

Or on a more angstier note, this happened post reveal and everyone is aware that Dabi is Touya, but it never really registered how bad a 13 year old burning alive really is. 16 year old Dabi is scared and feral from living on the streets, not trusting anyone at all and always carrying a knife around. He startles easily at fires and big forests, memories of pain and more pain coming back to haunt him. I want Hawks to make the mistake of mentioning Endeavor, because in his mind the no. 1 hero would always be a safe space for young kids and the like - forgetting that the person in front of him literally burned alive due to the hero. Just Hawks and the League dealing with a very skittish Touya that is ready to run or shank somebody in the thigh if they get too close, being slapped in the face of what years of abuse and trauma by the no. 1 hero does to a person. Dabi hides it well, but Touya isn't really Dabi yet, is he?

Bakugou and Midoriya's Relationship Pre-main-cannon Analysis

Ok so I keep reading posts where people seem to think Bakugou has hard-core bullied Izuku for 10 straight years and Im here to squash that. So a kinda analysis of their relationship though the years based off what we know and all major shifts that I think happen based off cannon. As well as some inferred just based off how kids act at certain ages.

Relationship Timeline Guestimation:

This is my best guess on a timeline towards each other.

I would say the biggest guess in this is when the passive bullying actually started. Im guessing end of elementary and start of junior high just based off how kids usually are at that age (friendships shift, preteens try to be cool, purberty starts, ect.)

The biggest theme to their whole relationship is miscommunication so I labeled the timeline based off what an outside POV might label their relationship.

Preschool

Activity regular friends without Katsuki being a massive jerk. Before quirks and then Katsuki gets a big head ect. Most of that is covered extensively in flashbacks in the manga so Im gona gloss over this era.

Elementary

There's not a lot thats been shown directly at this time beyond what we've been shown in the manga (ie Izuku being nicknamed deku). So slightly inferred just based off their personalities and overall age.

Theyre actively friends but Katsuki gets worst and worst through the years and more distant. Though they actually have interations. Plus both these boys are so stubborn that I think theyed stay friendsish through elementary.

So we know they interacted and were around each other:

They were both friends at this point or at least like playmates and I think would continue through a lot of elementary especially early elementary.

Cause its not like Katsuki was popular with most people unsurprisingly:

Even if Katsuki really didnt want it, I think Izuku was one of the only friends that actively showed he cared about him. Even if he really didn't want it.

But with Katsukis insecurities and his kinda warped view of Izuku their friendship was pretty off and on again. Basically at this point in their relationship they both think the other is a slightly jerky friend but still actively care for each other. They get on each others nerves but still consider the other a friend. Also cause theyre in elementary, kids usually just play with whoever is closest and available. Since they lived in the same neiborhood and both have no sibling they would probably be first available for each other, inspite of feelings or insecurities.

Eventually though Katsukis insecurities would win out. (Which to note those really only ever come up when comparisons can come into play or when Katsuki could be precieved as needing help). And Katsuki has the same self awareness emotionally as a cat whos head is stuck in a bag. So he projects those insecurities hard onto Izuku, instead of actual self reflection.

To sum up elementary:

Early Middle School

Turning point from my guess is when Izuku tries to stand up to Katsuki and I think this is where they officially end any friendship and the bullying towards Izuku officially starts. I interpret this scene as either later elementary school or early middle school based off the lankyness of everybody:

So middle of middle school and note that Izuku isnt as actively freaked out by Katsuki approaching. So Katsuki after whenever he beat-up Izuku essentially reaffirm to himself that Izuku cant be a threat, and that he is still the best. Thus calm Katsuki at the start of Middle School. Still a jerk whenever he sees Izuku but doesnt seem to feel the need to actually seek him out. Mostly just dismissive belittling.

Plus no full on Baku-rage directed at Izuku:

Of course as anything hero related starts to come up and Izuku ends up doing his normal thing. Katsuki, like always, gets triggered cause Izuku hits every insecuritie he has.

Turning point happens when Katsuki feels threatened by Izuku again:

I was rereading your story "Of Capture Weapons and Lightning Bolts".

And I was thinking that Harry and all his magical family would spell the hell of UA. To prevent any invasion or harm to the students and teachers!

Imagine Shigaraki trying to destroy the gate only to be thrown off.

After all they didn't survive Hogwarts battle ( if it happens in your story) and didn't learn something.

Also during USJ attack where would Harry be ? And what would he do if he is at UA and hear about the attack?

The thing about Heroics and Healing Harry post Hogwarts is that he is intensely traumatized (rightfully so tbh the battle of Hogwarts is A Lot when you think about it) and working through that in the only way he can. He is technically a third year hero student, a retired hero, and the ghost that haunts Shouta and Hizashi’s classrooms all at the same time.

That being said he is very very protective of the family he has left and that stretches to UA at large and 1-A specifically.

He works with Bill and Hermione to add wards to UA. He shadows the students during training exercises. He waits for Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire to return from their work studies with shaking hands and wild eyes.

He is basically at UA because he can’t stand to not be there and to get a degree so he can do… something in the future. Hell he might even follow Shouta and Hizashi and become a teacher. Anything that isn’t hero work. That isn’t him being the Chosen One all over again.

(He keeps his provisional license, however… just in case.)

So when the attack comes Harry is there, sitting at Hizashi’s desk when Tenya’s panic alarm (connected to both Hizashi and Shouta just like Harry’s rings through to Tensei and Nemuri) goes off. He disappears before he can even think about it, arriving in the USJ just in time to see the sea of villains and his dad jumping into the fray.

And Harry doesn’t care for that shit at all.

1-A (with the exception of a few of them) was always a bit… wary of Harry (with his too sad too old eyes and the way he flinched when they spoke about becoming heroes) but none of them were prepared to see him in action, carving a path through the villains to mirror Eraserhead’s and facing off with the monster that took out their teacher without hesitation. There are whispers calling him a hero. There are whispers calling him a demon. No one can believe he wants to graduate to go immediately into retirement when he has skills like those.

No one but Tenya who sees him, with his hands wet with Shouta’s blood and shaking like he’s about to fly apart, staring at the ambulance that took his father away.

Harry wanted a quiet life after Hogwarts.

Instead he picks up his title of hero again and throws himself back into the fight to protect the people he loves.

this might be unhinged, but I figured out that at the beginning of that manga (Year Class 1A entered UA/All the events up to and including Deika), Shigaraki Tomura’s Birthday (4/4) likely occurred either on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

In Chapter 7, All Might confronts Aizawa on the first day of classes, and he says that “April Fool’s was a week ago.”

Of course, it doesn’t absolutely mean All Might meant it exactly one week ago, but still. With this information, let’s say the first day was on April 8.

April 8 can either be on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. This is because Chapters 5 to 12 covers three school days consecutively. First day was Aizawa’s test; Second day was Battle Training; Third day was when the media rushed the school.

The first day can’t be earlier than a Monday. The third day can’t be later than a Friday. Thus, those first three days of school, April 8 to 10, can only be Monday-to-Wednesday, Tuesday-to-Thursday, or Wednesday-to-Friday.

This means that Shigaraki’s 20th Birthday on April 4, four days before April 8, could only be on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

The end of Chapter 11 is when we first meet Shigaraki Tomura, who starts plotting ‘What if I kill All Might’, and this was on the evening of the day of the Battle Training (April 9).

Immediately the next day (April 10), on the morning of that third day with the media frenzy, Shigaraki Tomura is there at UA to disintegrate the gates.

The USJ invasion would be the next week, on a Wednesday.

It could not have been on the same first week of school because, as above, the first week’s Wednesday was either occupied by Aizawa’s test, battle training, or media frenzy. USJ invasion must happen in the second week of school, on dates April 15th, 16th or 17th.

BNHA Canon Timeline (Old)

EDIT: I’m working on a newer version. I’ll share it on my bnha resources account @afoisawhore when I’m done ~

Because my mind is full of bees I put together a timeline of BNHA a while ago for my own reference in fics. (I actually have separate timelines for individual fics but I made a canon one to base them off of). In case anyone is interested, here’s the short of it:

Some details & reasoning below the read more.

The actual years are obviously a guess, but the time between events (ex: 1 year, 2 years) is as accurate as I could get.

School dates are based on typical Japanese calendars. I used days of the week if given in canon, as you can see below. The second column is the estimated day of the week, the third column is info we know, and the fourth column is exact day of the week if given:

As for the rest....

Izuku says that humans haven’t gone to the moon as a result of quirks emerging. The moon landing was 1969. The first object sent to touch the moon was 1959. By my est, the Luminescent Baby was born sometime in the 1950s-60s range. This also assumes that the baby was born post-WWII. I assumed AFO wasn’t born immediately after quirks started showing up, so I put his birth somewhere in the 1980s (obv there’s lots of leeway but I would put it 10-20 years after the Luminescent Baby). In my timeline I didn’t specify a year because it’s a guess.

All of that is my basis for “present” time in BNHA. We know quirks appeared ~200 years ago, so based on that it’s been somewhere within 180-230 years since the Luminescent Baby was born. That gives us a “present year” (which we’ll equate with the Sludge Villain Incident) somewhere in 2130 to 2200.

I picked 2190 because of vibes.

For the rest, we know Endeavor’s age and birthdate. Same with Aizawa, etc. We also know Yagi was AM for ~30 years and is 3 years Enji’s senior. Assuming Yagi spends 3 years in America and is ranked #1 before Endeavor gets #2, we can find his Japanese Debut. And then in canon our only reference to ranking is sometime in November. Assuming it’s annual and not quarterly/biannual, etc. I just stayed with November as the time for new ranks.

Endeavor was ranked #2 by age 20. At 18 Hawks entered the top 10.

The timeline doesn’t go past the start of Term 2 on account of I didn’t need it yet, but I’ll update it eventually. And maybe post the updated version.

We’ve been watching Katsuki change for years now but something really shifted after he died. It’s like the last remnants of his pride or whatever else was tying him down vanished when he died and now he’s free to be the hero he always wanted to be but didn’t know if he could. He’s more sure of himself, of Izuku, and of his own role. He’s more sure of their ability to work together to win.
