#sorry i just want to complain here i shouldn't be doing that my bad
Note
Hi sweet angel, I have to admit that I'm new to your profile, but my obsession with your writing is almost as great as my obsession with snow, I have a request that changes the story a little bit.
Coryo is completely obsessed with the reader, but she thinks he is just an affectionate friend, both become mentors and instead of snow falling in love with lucy, it is the reader who falls in love with her tribute, and begins to move away from Snow, he can not accept this and manipulates the games, Not for lucy to win, but rather, to get rid of the reader's tribute. (Sorry for any mistake, English is not my mother tongue, so I use Google translator)

"Can I see you tomorrow morning?" Coriolanus looks down at you with hope in his eyes, you open your mouth but close it before sighing. "I can't, sorry. My parents want me to be home when my grandparents are there," You lie through your teeth as he hums, nodding.
"That's fine, tomorrow afternoon then?" His hand touches your waist as you smile up at the boy. "Of course Coryo, I'll see you then?" You touch his hand that was at your waist as he nods. You give him one final smile before disappearing around the corner.
You felt bad for lying to him but you didn't know how he would take it if he found out that you were actually going to meet your tribute first thing when his train from the districts arrived in Panem. Your tribute, Dean, from district 8 intrigued you. You couldn't keep your eyes of the screen when he appeared. He caught your eye immediately.
Coryo couldn’t stop complaining all day about his tribute from district 12, Lucy Gray. Saying that she would not last a second in the game. Unlike him, you had faith in your tribute.
So here you were, standing on the platform waiting for the train to come to a halt as you tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. A smile on your face, dimples on display as the doors open revealing Dean. He was taller than you imagined, but nonetheless, he looked surreal. There was no denying that Dean was good looking, incredibly good looking which you would imagine would play a role in the amount of donations he would have.
"Dean. Y/n Y/l/n. I'll be your mentor." You extend your hand out in front of him as he looks you up and down before shaking your hand. His shake was firm, his fingers calloused. An indication that he was a hard worker.
"Are you supposed to be here? I don't see other people like you around here," He says as he looks around the train station. You notice Coriolanus' tribute, Lucy Gray walking by and staring at the two of you questioningly. You make eye contact with her before clearing your throat and looking back at Dean who hadn't kept his eyes off of you.
"No. I'm not supposed to be here." You confess, your hands fidgeting with the ends of your skirt as Dean raises an eyebrow at you. "Then.... what are you doing here?" You pause. What were you doing here? You could have waited like the others for tomorrow to meet him.
"I uh- I wanted to welcome you to the Capitol." You offer him a smile. Silence. "Can I be blunt with you Dean?" Your head slightly tilts, a habit of yours when you ask questions. "Sure," He shrugs. "I see potential in you," You hold his hands in between yours as he glances down at your intertwined hands with an expression you couldn't quite figure out.
"You can win this hunger games. And I will do everything in my power to make sure that you do. Such potential like you for a bright future shouldn't be wasted," You solemnly smile at him. Dean stays quiet for awhile, his hand still in yours before a peacekeeper roughly pulls him away from you.
"Hey!" You shout as you follow the two. "It's time for them to go Miss." The peacekeeper says as he throws Dean into the back of a van. Just as he walks away from your view to close the door, you jump into the van along with the rest of the tributes. "What are you doing!" Dean whispers yells at you as you stay hidden behind him.
You let out a sigh of relief once the doors close. "What's this? Is this your mentor, Dean?" A girl you recognised to be Carol asks with a sinister smile. You push past Dean and extend your hand out for her to shake. She looks at your face then your hand and lets out a laugh.
"Why would I shake hands with someone like you." She spat as a few others laugh alongside her. You notice Lucy Gray once more, sitting there silently. "Why do you get special treatment Dean, huh?" Carol pushes you backwards catching you off balance as Dean catches you.
"I could kill her right now," Carol chuckles like a maniac. Dean moves you behind him, "Leave her alone," He voices out, his tone screaming authority. Before Carol could respond, the van shook violently as you all lose your balance. You let out a groan as you felt your body slam against the van door before it flies open, causing you all to roll out onto hard rocks.
You let out a groan as you slowly lift up your head, squinting your eyes at your surrounding before you hear Dean's voice. "Y/n! Are you alright?" He asks worriedly as his grips your bicep, aiding you to stand up as you realise where you were. You were at the zoo cage.
You place a hand on your head as you let out a low groan. "Excuse me! Hello! Over there! Can they not hear me in there?" You hear a familiar voice belonging to Lucretius Flickerman. Dean takes a hold of your forearm, helping you keep balance as he whispers to you, "Own it." You look up at him with a small smile. He offers his arm to you as you link arms and walk towards the iron bars.
"Y/n Y/l/n, one of the mentors for the 10th hunger games." Lucretius says to the camera as he then directs his gaze towards you. "The game makers did tell you to jump into the cage with them," His tone was skeptical. Dean looks down at you as you glance at him before looking at Lucky.
"They didn't tell me not to. They just said it was a mentor's job to introduce our tributes to the citizens of Panem, and I thought well if Dean is brave enough to be here, then why shouldn't I be too?" You say with confidence, "For the record, I didn't have a choice," Dean butts in.
"What is Y/n doing there?" Arachne gasps as she ctaches the attention of Snow and the others as they look to the screen. There you were, linked arms with a tribute, looking awfully comfortable with him to add. Snow furrows his eyebrows at disbelief that you were there.
You told him that you were to be at home, but clearly not. Coriolanus watches with intent as you look at Dean when he spoke. His fists bawl up as Clemensia makes a comment. "You alright Coryo? You look.... bothered," Her hands rest on Snow's upper arm as he pries her touch off of him.
"I'm fine," He snaps as he leans forward on his seat. He was bothered. Very bothered seeing you so close with a tribute. "He's obviously not fine, he's bothered seeing Y/n so touchy with her tribute, isn't that right Snow?" Arachne teases as he slams his hand on the table causing her to shut up. "Shut it, Crane." Coriolanus says through gritted teeth as Arachne puts her hands up in surrender.
"They look really close. Can't blame Y/n honestly, she got a good looking one," He hears Clemensia quietly say before he had enough and stood up, storming off.
~
"Coryo," You call out as you catch up to him, adjusting your bag on your shoulder as you offer him a smile. He says nothing, his face stern as he continues to walk, not bothering to look at you. "Hey listen, I'm sorry I stood you yesterday, I just got super busy-" "Yeah I saw, busy with your tribute right?" He gives you a sarcastic smile as you scrunch your eyebrows.
You were all making your way to the enclosed cage to talk to your tributes. "What?" Snow rolls his eyes at you, finally stopping. "I saw your interview with Flickerman. Looked awfully close to your tribute," You let out small chuckle as his face shows no sign of amusement.
"Coryo, I was just introducing myself to him and getting to know him that's all. I have faith in him that he will win and I wanted him to know that. Wouldn't you do the same with your tribute if you had faith in her?" You touch his arm as he looks at your hand.
"Right?" You try and get a response from him as he sighs, "I guess," Is all he says before intertwining his hands with yours. You look down at your hands, a sweet gesture from him. When you both get closer to the tributes, you unclasp your hands with Snow and walk towards Dean who has already seen you and was making his way closer to you.
"Hey," You greet Dean as you look through your bag and find the half of your sandwich and cookie which you put away for him. You hand it to him as he thanks you, immediately taking bites as you watch him. He could feel your stares as you look away. Your eyes land on Coriolanus and Lucy.
He was talking to her about something as Lucy looks towards you and Dean. Snow finally looks at you, his expression cold as you gulp and look at Dean who was already looking at you. "He your boyfriend or something?" He asks as he takes another bite of the cookie. Your eyes widen. "Who? Coryo? No." You laugh as Dean stares at you.
"He's just a close friend of mine." You say as he nods, unbothered. "Do you? Do you- uh- have a-" "No." He deadpans as you slowly nod. From afar, Snow was watching the two of you interact the entire time. "Do you want to win Lucy Gray?" He turns his attention from you to his tribute.
"Do you think I can win?" She asks him as he thinks. "Honestly? no." He admits as Lucy scoffs. "But if you listen to what I say and do what I tell you to do, you will." His tone was stern as Lucy nods, her eyes following his eyeline which led to you and Dean. "That your girlfriend? That girl who was with us yesterday in the van."
"Her and Dean seem to be close, don't you think?" Lucy watches Coriolanus' face, his jaw clenching at the mention of the two. "They're not close, she just knows how to play the game," Coriolanus snaps before standing up and backing away from Lucy Gray.
~
You hadn't spoken much to Coriolanus the past couple of days. You were with Dean quite a lot, making up strategies and scenarios for when the games started. "I care about you, Dean. A lot." You take his hands in yours, the sound of his iron shackles making you cringe as you look him the eyes. Dean looks around the room before caressing your hand.
You and Dean have gotten very close over the past days. You both had faith in each other, trusted one another. Coriolanus narrows his eyes at the two of you, 2 desks away from him before his gaze settles on your touching hands.
He lets out a quiet scoff as Lucy Gray looks over to you and Dean. "Do you know him?" Snow asks her as he cocks his head towards Dean. Lucy shakes her head. "You want to win, don't you?" He leans in close to her.
Lucy hesitantly nods her head, "Yes. Yes you do Lucy." He answered for her, his gaze hard on her as she squirmed under his stare. "You need to kill Dean first. You need to before he kills you. He's a strong competitor, I can tell, that's why you need him out first. Then, it will be a piece of cake." He smirks as he leans back on his chair. "What do I need to do?"
~
“Y/n,” Coriolanus calls out as you turn your head to his direction, a small smile on his face as you beam at him. You run to him, throwing your arms around him as you hug him tightly. Coryo was caught off guard but eventually hugs you back.
“Good luck,” You say, although it was slightly muffled against his shirt. “You too,” He says back, his hand rubbing your back as you pull back, giving him your pearly white grin that only a few were able to see. Coriolanus felt a pull at his heart for he knew what was going to happen would break you.
Your other classmates arrive as you get settled for the 10th hunger games to start. Your eyes were trained on the screen as you watch Dean kill 2 people. You bite your fingernails as you continue to watch it play out infront of your eyes. Coriolanus offers his hand as you take it, squeezing it as you watch Dean.
A couple hours pass by and everyone sits up when they watch Coryo's tribute, Lucy Gray being corned by a few of the others, Dean included. In the corner of your eye, you watch Coryo come up to his screen and rapidly click.
Your eyes flicker back to the screen as drones of water come flying at the tributes, knocking them out as the room erupts in gasps. "These drones are not very good," Flickerman comments. "Hey! What are you doing?" Vipsania shouts as she stands up.
"You can't attack the tributes Coryo!" You snap at him. "I'm just sending water," He coolly says as you shake your head and scoff. Dean managed to dodge them luckily. You watch as Lucy Gray runs, Dean chasing after her as your leg bounces.
She manages to hide in one of the vent holes as you notice Snow let out a sigh of relief. Dean punches the vent in anger as he eventually leaves her. A few more hours pass by as you fell asleep, the sound of banging wakes you up. Coryo was nowhere to be found.
Your eyes focus on the screen as Dean and Coral stand underneath a vent pipe. Coral's pitchfork was reportingly stabbing at the vents above. Dean follows the noises, his gaze on the vent. "Coral. Coral she's right here," He whispers to her as she continues stabbing at the vent. Coriolanus then runs in, "Lucy Gray, is she okay?" He says out of breath.
"She wont be for long," Festus comments as everyone's eyes are trained on the screen. All of a sudden, Dean touches his nose as he looks confused. You immediately stand up on your feet, "Wait, what's wrong with Dean?" You move closer as he falls on his knee making your heart race.
"Did Coral do something to Dean?" You panic as Dean starts spazzing out on the floor. Coryo glances at you. Lucy Gray did what he told her to do. He had snuck her rat poison to use, if a small amount was to be inhaled, it would be deadly.
You cover your mouth as your eyes widen. Dean was laying on the ground, not moving at all. You flinch at the sound of a buzzer going off, indicating that he was in fact dead. Dean was dead. And you didn't even know how it happened. You storm out but before you could, Coryo grips your arm, "I'm sorry," He says as you furrow your eyebrows at what he meant before snatching your arm from his grip. "Dean is down. Good afternoon Miss Y/l/n," Flickerman calls out.
You storm out with rage. Dean was supposed to win. He was supposed to make it out alive. You even promised him he would come out alive and go back to his family. One moment he was perfectly fine, and then the next, he's on the floor spazzing out and then dead. Your mind drifts back to Coriolanus' words, I'm sorry. What did that even mean? You assumed he was just apologising that your tribute was dead.
~
Lucy Gray had managed to win. You were happy for Coryo of course. But Dean’s recent death still plagued your mind. “Y/n,” Coryo breathed out the moment you opened your door to him; he reached out for you, pulling you against his chest.
It caught you by slight surprise before you hugged him back. The pent up emotions finally releasing the moment he rubs your back affectionately. “Shh” He softly shushed you as waterfalls fall down your cheeks. Everything was chasing up to you.
“I-I don’t even know what happened to him,” You sob in his embrace as he traces shapes on your arm. You continued to rant to him as he brought you to your living room.
You rested your head against his chest as he listened, sometimes he would bite his tongue at the things you were saying about Dean. "He was just a tribute y/n-" "He was not just a tribute." You snapped, lifting your head up as you stared at his blue irises.
Coriolanus rolls his eyes the minute you turn your head back around. "He's human, just like you and I. He had dreams, he had a family to go back to Coryo, do not just sit there and tell me he was just a tribute. He's more than a tribute," Coriolanus listened to every single word that came out of your mouth.
He did not agree with most of the things you said but for the sake of it, he said nothing. When you spoke about Dean, it grew on Coriolanus that you infact liked him, alot. Perhaps even more than like. And that was why he felt the need to kill him. You were his, only his. And after all, he couldn't have some lowly district boy taking over your body and soul.

OLDER
Bsf's dad!Bang Chan x reader
You knew you had a thing for older men but you didn't expect to be in this situation.
Contains: Unprotected car sex, masturbation (f), fingering, there's an age gap, but the reader is legal AND they didn't know each other when she was a minor, just a little heads up.
Word count: 3.1k.
Tumblr media
Sleepovers at your best friend's house were always the best. You'd watch plenty of movies (or videos on YouTube) and cook together when her dad wasn't home. You had done all of that tonight and even had a photoshoot for new profile pictures and posts for Instagram. You really went all out for it, too.
Though, there was always one thing that bothered you at those sleepovers and it was the sleep part. Yuna snored a lot and it lead to insomnia for you. You'd usually be okay with it, because you never failed to bring your headphones, but this time, you had let them at your house.
You grunted for the fifth time in a whole minute before letting go of the pillow you'd been using against your ears to try and muffle the sounds, but to no avail. You decided it could be good to take a little walk in her house. You guys were alone anyway, so it wouldn't bother anyone.
You slowly opened the door of her bedroom, walked out and made sure to close it behind you. You looked around to make sure her dad wasn't here and went to the kitchen silently.
You poured yourself some water in the glass you used tonight and took a big sip of it. You could finally relax once you were away from Yuna. You didn't even know exactly why snoring irritated you so much. It made you feel bad to complain about it so much, but you just had to.
"Y/n? It's late, why aren't you sleeping?"
You jumped and put a hand over your mouth to stop yourself from yelping. You had never heard him coming in the house, even less walking in the room and leaning against the doorframe. He didn't look annoyed or bored. He was, in fact, smiling at you with a raised brow. It made you blush - as usual - and you looked down.
"Sorry, I couldn't sleep. I just came here to get some water.
- You know it's alright, you should still get some rest though," he placed his coat on the kitchen island as he walked to the fridge, which was right beside you.
His sleeves were rolled up and you couldn't help but to take a look at his arms and hands as he took a plate Yuna and you had prepared for him earlier. He placed it in the microwave for one minute and thirty seconds and then he looked back at you.
"She's snoring again, right?
- Yeah."
He laughed and suddenly, your heart started beating faster. This wasn't right. You shouldn't feel like this around him. He's your best friend's dad, for God's sake!
"I'll be awake for a while more, wanna come to my office? I could use some company.
- Oh, but I don't want to bother you…
- You won't. I really would appreciate your company. But if you wanna go back to sleep, then it's good too!" His dimples are so hot. His office outfit is so hot. You felt hot.
"No, I'm not going to sleep," you smiled at him before following his lead to his office that was on the second floor. It was the first time you steeped into it and it somehow felt intimate; Yuna had always told you her dad did not let anyone in there while he was gone and now he invited you to sit on the small couch that was settled next to a bookshelf.
"Don't tell Yuna about this, she'll start coming here without my permission," the man sighed as he sat on his chair behind his desk. He turned his computer on and looked back at you while it loaded. "You can do whatever you want, I have books there and other stuff… Just don't touch what's on my desk, not that I think you would anyway," he gave you a wink and a smile as he laid back on his chair, turning his attention back to the screen.
Some time passed since your last interaction with Christopher. You had picked a book from his shelf, but quite honestly, it was just to make yourself look busy. You surely couldn't concentrate on it when you could see him shift on his seat and hear him sigh from time to time, clicking his tongue and grunting. You didn't know what he was working on, but it surely made him frustrated.
You looked at the cover of the book since you didn't even know which one you had picked. That's how uninterested you were about it, but maybe that you should start being, because Christopher's noises made you think some stuff that you shouldn't think about.
"100 Cocktail Recipes; Spice your Drinks Up!"  What the fuck?
"Is everything alright?" You opted on asking, coming to the conclusion that you wouldn't read anything tonight.
"Yeah, yeah. Just work stuff, you know?" He looked rather enthusiastic about you finally talking to him. You guessed he needed a little break from work.
"Yeah, I know," you looked around the room, suddenly feeling really awkward and regretting having talked to him.
"I guess I could take a small break," he sighed and leaned back on his chair, his hands behind his head as he looked back at his screen. "Wanna go on a little drive?
- I'd actually like that, yes," you smiled and you both got up to walk out of the office.
"Wait just a bit, I'm gonna go change into something else," you nodded and he came back a few minutes later with a t-shirt and simple jeans. The shirt was tight. You didn't even know how it didn't tear because the man is muscular. You shook your head a little to let go of your thoughts and followed Christopher to the entry door.
Once your shoes were on, he let you get out first and he locked the door behind him.
"Let's hope Yuna doesn't wake up," he chuckled and unlocked his car. You smiled and mentally prayed that she wouldn't notice you were out too, walking to the car and getting in the passenger seat as Christopher sat at the driver's seat.
"So, where are we going?
- Anywhere, it's up to you.
- I know a pretty spot somewhere. Let's get snacks and then go there. Yeah?
- Sounds good," you smiled at him and he returned it, starting the engine and driving to a small convenience store Yuna and you went to often. It was the only one that was open the whole night, so when you ever craved something late, you walked there and took whatever you needed. You even became friends with the cashier.
"Hey, Y/n!" Jeongin waved at you and nodded at Christopher. You walked to him as Christopher picked some snacks in the store.
"Is that your dad?
- No, that's Yuna's dad," you looked behind to make sure he wasn't near you and you leaned forward. "He's fucking hot."
Jeongin laughed and shook his head.
"Do you even know how old he is? Not that he looks 60, but that's still her dad.
- He's like in his half 40's, it's alright.
- What are you guys talking about?"
You jumped as Christopher put food and drinks on the counter. Jeongin stayed silent as he scanned the items and you cleared your throat.
"Are you two dating?
- What? No, no!" Jeongin finally spoke.
"That's Yuna's boyfriend," you added, side eyeing Jeongin whose cheeks reddened significantly.
"Am not.
- Not yet," you teased and Christopher laughed.
"I'll be looking forward to our first family dinner with you, then," he paid for the stuff and took the plastic bag after Jeongin put the receipt in it. You said your goodbyes and walked out with a smile still sitting on your face, thinking back to Jeongin's shyness at the mention of your best friend.
"They'd look cute together," Christopher said as you both got back in the car.
"I know, right? But they're both so oblivious that it hurts me sometimes.
- Give them time and eventually, they'll confess."
It was a ten minute drive until Christopher parked his car in an empty parking lot, which was right in front of a small river. There were benches along it and lampposts beside each one of them. It was a pretty spot indeed, but you wished you'd brought a jacket with you if you were to get out of the car.
"We can stay in the car if you want, you're not wearing something adequate to the weather," he remarked and you agreed.
He took out two bottles of water and handed one to you. You opened it and immediately took a sip. You hadn't noticed how thirsty you were, and the water felt refreshing in your throat.
"And what about you? Do you have a boyfriend?
- No, guys at school aren't for me.
- Ah, I see," it was silent for a little moment until you heard him unbuckle his seat so he could turn to you the way he wanted to. "What about older guys? You know, you're old enough to have a little age gap in relationships now."
You played with the cap of your bottle nervously, your heart pounded hard in your chest and you could hear it. "Yeah, I like older men.
- Men, huh?" He smirked and turned your head towards him with a hand placed on your cheek. "Have you tried talking to them?"
You shook your head and hardly swallowed, suddenly needing another sip of water. But, you couldn't move. Christopher looked too beautiful in the dark of the night, with only a small amount of light that hit the side of his face. His lips looked extra kissable and they were still a little wet due to his drink and you felt yourself getting needy.
"No, I haven't.
- Then talk to me," he leaned close to your ear, you could feel his hot breath on your neck and you closed your eyes, "Am I old enough for you?
- Yeah," you whispered, and you swore you could hear his smirk. He looked back at you, and it was hard for you not to look away. He was way too intimidating for you to hold eye contact.
"I knew you'd be a good girl for me," he kissed you shortly once, and then the second one was deep. His lips- God, his lips felt so good against yours. They were so soft and fit perfectly with yours, driving you insane and you undid your seatbelt to get closer to him. Christopher groaned lowly as his tongue entered your mouth, and his hand found its way to your thigh, slowly hiking up your shorts. Well, as much as he could.
You shivered at his touch and softly bit on his lower lip, making a moan escape from his lips and that was it: now you were wet for sure and he broke away from the kiss, looking at you with lustful eyes.
"Tell me what you want," he said, his voice deeper than usual.
"I just want you," you admitted, placing a hand on his chest. It trailed down to the end of his shirt.
"Then I'll show you how much I want you too," he reclined his seat a little and gestured for you to come sit on his lap. You obeyed and immediately felt him through his pants. He was already half hard for sure.
"So fucking beautiful," he took a strand of your hair between his fingers, then putting his hand at the back of your head to pull you closer so he could kiss you. He slid his hand down your waist, making its way under your shorts. His other hand cupped one of your boobs through your tank top. You whimpered and put your hands around his biceps, feeling his muscles flexing under them.
His lips were so rough against yours that it added an edge of excitement to the moment. You were completely lost in this touch, his hand was back out of your shorts and was settled on your hip. His other one was sliding down your sides, feeling your curves.
"You're going to drive me insane," you hummed against his lips and rolled your hips a little, making him groan and pull you away from the kiss. "Touch yourself, baby," he commanded, moving one hand to grab your ass and squeezing it.
"What?" You asked with a small voice, unsure of what he meant by this.
"I want to see you touching yourself," he clarified, his voice as rough as his touch. A hand under your top now, he found your nipple and teasingly brushed against it. You reacted to it, pulling yourself closer to him, and you nodded, spreading your thighs a little. You slid a hand under your shorts and panties, reaching your clit immediately.
His hand finally pinched your nipple and it earned him a moan from you. "That's it, baby," he breathed. "You look so fucking hot."
You hummed again, rubbing small circles on your clit as you absorbed everything he told you.
"So obedient. You like being my good girl? Like touching yourself for me?
- Yeah," you moaned as your hips bucked up, looking down at him.
"Tell me more," he demanded. He wanted you to beg for him, to show him just how much power he held over you.
"I like being your good girl, only yours," you said, pulling the fabric of your panties and shorts to the side so he could have a glimpse at what was going on under your clothes.
"You're such a tease," he teasingly traced a finger along your wet folds. "Look at how wet you are for me."
You whimpered and stopped touching yourself for him to take over. Your hands went back to his biceps.
"Do you like being teased?" He asked, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He continued teasing your pussy, ignoring how you tried getting away due to how sensitive you had gotten.
"No," you closed your thighs around his hand.
"Yes, you do," he said, leaning in to kiss you like a hungry man. His free hand squeezed your breasts, pinching your hardened nipple as he started rubbing on your clit. You moaned against his lips, spreading your thighs for him to touch you better as you tugged at the sleeves of his shirt.
With a low chuckle, he pushed your panties to the side more and slid a finger into your sloppy hole, immediately finding your g spot. "Want me to make you cum?" He assumed you were already ready for a second finger, so he slid another one inside you.
"Yes, please. Please," you breathed out, getting used to his fingers inside you.
"That's it," he slowly pumped his fingers in and out of you. "Feels good?" He asked, placing hot kisses over your neck as he continued with the right amount of pressure and speed.
"Good," you agreed, lifting his shirt up a little so you could have a look at his toned abs, finally touching the skin. That made him groan again, his fingers digging deeper into you as you touched every inch of his chest. Once your hand reached lower, his hips grinded against it slightly, and you didn't waste another second before unzipping his pants and cupping his dick through his boxers.
He moaned, his hips grinding a little more against your palm. "You're so hot,"
You moaned when his finger brushed against a certain spot inside you and it made you squeeze his cock a little. He lifted himself up a little so you could slide his pants and boxers down a little. Christopher's breath hitched a little and his eyes locked with yours, filled with lust and anticipation. "Fuck."
"Want you inside me, Chris. Please?" You asked, pumping his dick slowly to spread his precum all over his shaft.
"Alright, baby," he hissed a little at your touch. "If that's what you want. But I can't guarantee I'll be gentle," he warned, guiding himself to your entrance once your hand had left him. You nodded and pushed yourself down on his dick a little so his tip was already inside you. You moaned and put a hand on the back of the seat for support as you sunk down painfully slowly.
Christopher lost some of his patience and grabbed your hips harshly, thrusting into you sharply without warning. You gasped and threw your head back, feeling the stretch of his dick clearly. It hurt for sure, but you didn't say anything. He knew to give you some time to get used to him. He brought you closer and started kissing your neck. "Told you I can't be gentle," he mumbled as he softly nibbled at your skin.
"Can move," you said, rolling your hips against him. He moaned and guided you, giving a small slap at your ass as you rode him. It was your first time, but by Christopher's moans, you guessed you did good, and you found the hem of his shirt to tug at it.
He got the hint and quickly got it off, throwing it at the back of the car, completely forgetting about it and giving his complete attention to you. Your hands quickly found their way to his upper chest, pawing at the skin. "Fuck, Chris," you moaned against his ear.
His eyes rolled back as you touched him and moaned in his ear that way, picking up the pace of your movements as he guided you on him. "Yeah, feel good, baby? Like having sex with older men? They're better at it, right? They have more experience… I know what's good for you," his lips trailed down your collarbones, and you moved so he could mouth your boob through your top. He softly bit, making your back arch and you lost control of yourself, becoming unstable on top of him.
He cursed and held your hips up, now he was the one pounding up into you at a rapid and rough pace. Everytime his pelvis met your clit, it sent waves of pleasures throughout your whole body and you felt yourself coming closer to your orgasm.
"Shit, gonna cum," he said in a whisper almost and you moaned in response. "Gonna cum soon too, baby?
- Yeah," you agreed and rubbed your clit as he continued thrusting into you. Both of your movements became sloppy and right when he was about to release, he pulled out of you and fucked his own fist until he came all over his stomach. With that vise in front of you, your orgasm hit you fast and your hips stuttered above him as he was still riding his own orgasm out.
"Fuck," you whimpered and collapsed on him. You were both panting heavily and he was now stroking your hair softly.
"Y/n, you're fucking crazy," he said and you laughed.

how r our kbd babies doing today?
kisses before dinner —the harrington's recuperate at the end of a long week. 2k, mom!reader
“It's not so bad,” you murmur. “Just a little sting.”
Avery looks up at you with eyes widened. She couldn't look more like Steve. “How little?”
Bethie snores on your chest. You're laying in bed, Avery sitting on the floor in your room with a teddy in her lap. You'd pull her up into your bed if there were any room, but with Beth's leg hanging off of your hip and Steve curled toward you like a question mark, there isn't space to spare.
“They call it a sharp scratch.”
Avery came in with big questions this morning. Mom, what does a needle feel like?
“Does it leave a hole?” she asks.
“No, just a tiny dot,” you say, rubbing Beth's back. She's very warm, worryingly so. “Can you pass me Bethie's thermometer?”
“Will you ask me nicely?” she asks.
“Please could you pass Bethie's thermometer, my love?” you say. She smiles, indulged by your sweetend tone, and crawls forward to rifle through the mass of things you've accrued during Beth's flu and subsequent, semi-permanent stay in your bed after her last few days in hospital. Vitamins and mapap, melted cool packs and Dove's rainbow bear. She doesn't really know what's happening, but she knows her sister needs support right now, and so she's parted with her favourite bear.
Nobody ever mentioned how many plush animals you acquire when you have children. They're everywhere. At least two in each room.
“Can I put it on her head?”
“Sure,” you say, brushing Bethie's hair back to give Avery an uninterrupted landing pad. “Be nice, baby, please.”
“I'll be so nice,” Avery promises. She reaches up, tall on her knees, and smooths the thermometer patch over Beth's forehead.
“Thank you. Kiss?”
Avery gives you a kiss. Together, you watch the thermometer respond to Bethie's skin, and when the gauge hits the red that demonstrates much too hot, you bite back a spike of panic.
“Is she okay?”
“Yeah, she's okay.” You put your arm firmly behind Bethie's back and sit up with a wince. Steve stirs beside you. “Steve? She's getting hot again.”
He grunts in his dozing. You nudge him. You'll say sorry afterwards; this is not a nice way to wake up.
“Steve,” you say. Though it certainly isn't nice, you know he'd prefer to be woken up. You shake him by the shoulders.
He coughs as he wakes, “What? What?” he asks.
“She's at 101 again.”
Steve takes your wrist into his hand. He snaps into dad mode quickly. “That's fine, honey. 101 is fine. She's not a baby anymore, just take her blanket off and I’ll go get another cool pack.”
“Are you sure?”
His voice is gravel. “I promise she's just fine. We don't have to take her back to Urgent Care unless she's at 102 for two days in a row.”
And you already knew that, but you needed him to tell you. You lean down and rub your nose into Bethie's crown. “Okay,” you say shyly. Shouldn't have woken him. Shouldn't have panicked.
“You okay, mom?”
Steve peeks over your body to see Avery sitting on the floor. “Avery! My favourite toast maker, do you want breakfast? Let's make toast and get Beth some ice.”
Steve leans in to kiss you, then Beth. “Stay here.”
“No, it's okay, let's go downstairs.” You don't meet his eyes as you say it. You just don't want to be away from him lately.
“...Okay, no worries.” He yawns and puts out his arms for a transfer of the sleeping child. “Did you brush your teeth, Avey-bear?”
“No,” she says happily.
He heaves Beth into his arms, her head falling into the curve of his neck. It would've been nicer if he had a minute to come to, but he hasn't had time to himself in days, and he doesn't complain. Steve just holds Bethie close and gets to starting the day. “After breakfast, then. Come on, sweetheart.”
It takes you a few seconds to realise he's talking to you. Your face feels hot. “Coming.”
You make sure Wren's baby monitor is on and leave her sleeping in her crib though she's destined to wake up any time now, putting the twin in your pocket. Steve ushers Avery down the stairs first, following her with Beth cemented to his front as you check on Dove. She's awake but laying down still, blanket tucked to her chin and one of her small feet sticking out of the side.
“Hello,” you say, feeling the aches and pains of the last week echoing through your back as you lean against her door. “Good morning, beautiful.”
“Good morning,” she says back. Then, with a squint. “Yo'r leaving?”
You giggle at her funny pronunciation. “Not today. You want to come have breakfast?”
“Carry me,” she says, kicking off the blankets.
“Where's your sock?” You cross the room to pick her up. You don't want to carry her, it seems that the majority of your life is spent carrying these kids with legs of their own, but then you pick her up and feel her weight against your chest and don't mind so much. “Say? Where's your sock?” you ask, tilting your head to her.
“I had hot toes when I was– when I was sleeping.”
“Yeah? How are they now?”
“They're fine.”
You hook your index finger into her sock and pull it off.
“Can I have,” —she drags her nose against your shoulder— “waffles with syrup?”
“I think daddy's making toast.”
“...with syrup?”
“Whatever you want,” you say, dropping her sock on the floor for later laundry and carrying her down to the bottom of the stairs. She lounges in your arms.
From the stairs, you turn right into the hallway, which branches into both the living room and a small hallway to the kitchen. You go into the living room (which also, conveniently, connects to the kitchen), and find Bethie deposited on the big bean bag where she likes to nap, Steve kneeling by her side, a cool patch in hand as Avery fiddles with the TV.
“Are you feeling okay?” he's asking her, putting the patch on her forehead.
She smiles at him with a gaze clear enough to take some of the worry off your shoulders. “Yeah, daddy, just cold.”
“I know. You try and keep this on for me a little while so we can keep your temperature down, and I'm gonna go make you some breakfast. What sounds nice? You want jam and toast like Ave?”
“Can I have a… a peanut butter sandwich?”
He smiles at her like she's given him the secrets of the universe. “Yes. Absolutely you can.”
“Breakfast on the couch?”
Perfect. You put Dove on the couch next to Avery and turn the TV down to a quieter volume than usual. Bethie shivers at the cool pack but doesn't complain again, her attention drawn to the morning cartoons.
Steve's multi-tasking already as you prop open the kitchen door. Toast down in the toaster, elbow deep in a sink full of dishes. “Don't do those, I'll do them,” you say, “just make Beth her sandwich.”
“I got it. You make the sandwich, babe.”
“You make it.”
Steve turns around. He dries his hands. “Who the fuck are you talking to?” he asks, eyes wide and lips parted in a dramatised shock. “Me? Are you taking that tone with me?”
“Shut up,” you say.
He grabs you by the waist to pull you in. “You used to be such a nice girl, you'd make me cookies and ask me over for dinner, and when I'd take you out you'd try to hold both of my hands–”
“What does that have to do with anything?” you ask, startled and flush with remembering. You're still young, but you'd been so young. You love him more now than you ever did back then, but it's hard to forget the young love feeling of needing both his hands in yours, in wanting people to know you were together, but mostly of hoping he'd not want to let go of them.
“It means you used to be nice and now you suck,” he says, using the height he has over you to glare down at you. It doesn't last, five seconds at most. “Sorry, I didn't mean that.”
You laugh and put your hands around his waist. None of you look put together. His shirt is one of yours, your pyjama pants are about eight years old and don't fit right. Dove is in one of Bethie's nightgowns and Avery's trousers are a yard too short. Beth fares better in new pyjamas from her favourite uncle Eddie (please get well soon, baby Harrington), but they're ready for a wash. They all need baths.
“Today is gonna be a long day,” you say, blowing a breath against his throat just to see what he'll do.
Steve puts his arms over your shoulders. “I don't want a short one if it's with you.” He smiles, knowing it's a good line. “Can we still kiss?”
You used to have a ‘I haven't brushed my teeth’ rule, but more and more life together erases the embarrassment. “One. Close-lipped.”
“Yes sir,” he says, kissing you chastely. He makes it a good one, very loving, very can't-believe-I-get-to-be-loved-by-you.
You figure you might as well tell him so, in a way. “Steve?”
He steps back. You have the same idea at the same time, arms bashing into one another as you try to smooth his hair and he attempts to stroke your forehead.
“Yeah?”
“I'm sorry if I've been a lot. I know I haven't been as, you know, strong as you have. With Beth being sick.”
“You don't have to be,” he says. He talks gently, but there's more emotion in his eyes, a softness. “I can take care of all of you, I can. I wouldn't keep having kids if I didn't know I could take care of them and you.”
“But we're a team.”
“Yeah, we are, and I couldn't do any of this without you, but you don't have to worry about being strong. I can be enough for both of us while you're not feeling so sure.” He grabs your hand where it brushes his hair down. “Don't mess with my volume.”
“Steve, you couldn't have less volume right now.”
“I love you, and it's not just… comfortable. It's not just because you're the mom of my kids, or because it's been years. That stuff's obviously true, but I still love the girl who wants to hold both of my hands at the same time. I'd do this for you even if they weren't my girls, but they are, and you are, and it's not something you need to be sorry for.” He goes a little red at being so open. He doesn't know how endearing it is.
The toaster pops and makes you both jump. “Shit,” he says, turning around and sadly out of your arms.
“Are you burning the toast?” Avery shouts.
“Daddy's making a campfire in the kitchen,” you say cheerily.
Steve laughs infectiously, pulling the toast out with a knife. “I guess we get breakfast first today.”
You creep up behind him. “I love you so much,” you say, punctuating with a kiss to his warm cheek.
He abandons the toast as quickly as he'd tended to it to grab you for a squeeze. You groan as everything clicks and he leans into you, pressing love you's with every breath into the side of your head. “Things have been the worst but they're the best ‘cos we're together!” he insists. “You freak me out sometimes being sorry for stuff, why are you sorry? You could totally clock out and I wouldn't get mad, I worry about you. I've always worried about you and I'm gonna worry ‘till I die, I want to.”
“Don't wind yourself.”
“You're gonna make me crazy,” he says, kissing your jaw. “You really are.”
He hugs you for ages. Long enough that you end up eating chewy toast, but the girls get fresh toast and peanut butter sandwiches alike, so everything works out in the end.

need carmy asking reader to move in w him!!! i feel like he'd just blurt it out one day when reader was complaining about her roommate or apartment lol
"Hey, have you seen my shoes?" You ask around your toothbrush, towel still around your damp body from the shower, brows creased looking around the apartment.
"Uh, which ones?" Carmen cranes his neck towards the shoe rack by the door. You had got him that. A little lover gift, you called it, surprising him on a random Tuesday moths ago. Carmen had a bad habit of just kicking his shoes by the door, the pile always stressing him when he couldn't find matching clogs, so you got him that.
"The black, like, slip ones. Kinda looks like Vans but... not?" You muttered, fumbling through the small corner of the closet you kept a few of your things in. Carmen had told you plenty of times to just take it, take as much space as you wanted, but you stuck to your small corner of his closet and bottom dresser drawer.
"No, I don't see them in here." Carmen called back, hearing your muttered curse before you padded back to the bathroom.
"Shit, I knew I forgot something." You sighed, rinsing your mouth out. "I guess I'll wake up early tomorrow and swing by my place before work."
"Or," Carmen leaned against the door, eyes rounding hopefully at you. "You could... You could just keep all your stuff here."
"Yeah," You snorted lightly, rolling your eyes. "And drag that shit back and forth? That would be even worse-"
"-No, I meant, like," Carmen took a breath. "I mean keep all your stuff here all the time."
You paused, looking at him for a moment, blinking and a little unsure. "You want me to... move in?" You asked.
Carmen looked at his feet, blushing, hand running over his face to try to hide his red face. "I-I... Yeah, yeah, ya know? You-You already kinda live here already, and-and.... I dunno. I would like if you lived here with me. If you wanted to."
Your heart skipped. The shake in his voice, flustered and nervous and boyish. It made your heart swell. "I-I mean... You know I would, Carm, but... I have a lease." You sucked in a breath, heart sinking at the fall in his face. "I-I don't have the money to just break it, and I couldn't do that to my roommates."
Carmen nodded slowly. "No, yeah, that... that would be shitty." He ran a hand over his face. "Shit, sorry. I shouldn't have... I'm sorry. I don't know why-"
"-Carmen, it's not that I don't want to live with you." You stopped him gently, stepping towards him. "I just can't right now, but... my lease is out in May. Maybe we could revisit this then?"
"Yeah?" Carmen asked, eyes lighting up hopefully. You wanted to move in with him. You wanted to stay with him long term. Here you were, huddled in his apartment bedroom, talking about your future so casually, so surely. It made his heart hammer in his chest in the best way.
"Yeah." You nodded with a smile. "I'll start slowly moving my stuff in, and when it gets closer to the lease we can... officially move everything in?"
"Yeah, that-that would be cool." Carmen said, biting back his grin, eyes dazzling when they met yours.
"I'll start with those shoes. Tomorrow." You grin, cupping his cheek, pulling him in for a sweet kiss.

Just a bunch of bad guys
A little background below ⬇⬇⬇
HA I TRICKED YOU, it's not little, it's a lot!
Alright, this was just supposed to be an attempt at character design of my own after I read bunch of Superhero AUs, but I got carried away and created some lore :')
-WILBUR-
Full Name: Both him and Techno had been adopted by Philza at young age and took up his last name, but wanted to keep something of their own. Hence, both have their nicknames "Soot" and "Blade" (not last names, they don't know what they were).
Alias: I wanted to base all names of the Syndicate on Greek mythology, however I had hard time finding something for Wilbur. I came close to calling him Apollo, but most of the things attributed to this god, aside being the patron of music, just didn't align with what I had in mind for him. Thus, ta da, "very original" Siren. Even tho, it's not really a name name - "lured sailors to their death with a bewitching song" just fits too well.
Powers: Hypnotic voice was an obvious choice, but I wanted all of them to have two main abilities. Thus, after long search I stumbled upon enhanced hearing, and hear me out. Wilbur wears mask over his eyes (he can see through it) but it gives the illusion that one of his senses is gone, and what they say when one sense is taken away? Another one amplifies >:D And I just think that someone whose powers are based on sound would be more sensitive to it. It's not like he has super hearing for miles away, he can just hear well what someone is whispering like few meters away form him :p
OK THAT'S IT. I think that's the most I've ever written on this site. To anyone who've read the whole thing: ily <333 thank for reading my rambling and sorry for any grammatical errors, English is not my first language and I was too lazy to do a spell check.
-TECHNO-
Full name: Explained before. I'm sorry, but I just can't separate those names from them, there is no Techno without Blade.
Alias: Now I spent a lot of time on this one, bc I just couldn't settle on anything. First I thought about Ares, for being the patron of blood lust and warfare, but just, it didn't work that much for me, I just think there should be more meaning behind the name. Then I searched more, I stumbled on Polemos and some other I can't remember and finally settled on Perses.
PERSES was the Titan god of destruction. He was the father of Hekate, goddess of witchcraft, by the Titanis Asteria ("Starry One"). Perses' name means "the Destroyer" or "the Ravager" from the Greek words persô and perthô. Hesiod inexplicably describes him as "preeminent among all men in wisdom"
And I just think this one's perfect. God of destruction? nice. "The Ravager"? Techno loved mc ravagers and I just can't pass this coincidence. "Preeminent among all men in wisdom"? Man's crazy smart, also as I'll explain more in a moment, Techno knows things he shouldn't really know, and he's almost always ahead of everyone, so, check. Also, my fav goddess aside form Persephone is Hecate so, additional point.
Powers: Enhanced durability is pretty explanatory. Mans could be thrown through a building and only his hair would get messy, maybe a bruise here and there and a lot of complaining, but that's it. You need someone equally powerful to bring him down. NOW, hyper awarness, man oh man, so I NEEDED to include the voices somehow. And I never saw them as something negative in his case. Of course, during combat, they start to demand bloodshed and make him sometimes loose control or result in sensory overload. BUT most of all, thanks to them he knows things - names of people or locations he never seen before, where the punch is coming at him from, answers to weird questions, who stole his food, and why is it always Wilbur, etc etc. So, yeah I thought that writing it down as hyper awarness, might work.
Additional info: His eyes are always red, but his sclera changes color to black when he's out on a mission or fighting, basically when the voices become louder the eyes become more intense in color. As civilian he wears red glasses most of the time to somehow mask the real color.
-PHILZA-
Full Name: You have no idea how much I wanted to write him down as Philza Mine Craft.
Alias: So, I also struggled to find a name for him. I was battling between Thanatos or simply calling him The Angel of Death. But then I was struck and everything became clear. I love fanfics where Phil was a hero before he saw how bad the system is and decides to become the "bad guy" who's actually kinda good, but does bad things sometimes. So, why not use it. In my version, before he became a villain, he was known as Angel, the Hero Committee wasn't as fully developed, so the heros still could stay anonymous, that's why even now they don't know his real identity. After he left he decided to take up new alias and therefore Thanatos was born. Person with black wings associated with Death, also now has a scythe??? Fits perfectly. And that's how people from calling him Angel started calling him The Angel of Death.
Powers: He has the ability to hide his wings and manifest them whenever he wants. I thought about making them just permanent, but I think it's just cooler when suddenly you see a character spring out a pair of big wings out of their back out of nowhere for the shock effect. (no i wasn't just too lazy to draw them, what are you talking about)
Avian telephaty - I also just couldn't not include the Chat. Wherever you see a cloud of crows you know the Angel of Death is nearby. He can communicate with any bird that is a raven, crow or rook. They're his eyes and ears.
Now, I can't leave without giving some credit to the writers that inspired me:
The Oath of Hippocrates by Melatonin_High
tommyinnit's clinic for supervillains by bonesandthebees (bonesandcacti)
Welcome Home Theseus by SoulfirePhoenix
All of them are on Ao3 and are super cool, so give them a read <3
Also, I'm planning on drawing Vigilante Benchtrio but we'll see how much that'll take me xd

Yujin's Wake Up Call
Author: This is a simple short story nothing too special and something that came to my mind that I want to write. If you want to see more of my stories check out my Masterlist.
Tumblr media
Author's POV
It was another busy day at Starship, the IVE girls recently returned from their world tour and they were indeed exhausted after travelling the world for the past several months.
Yujin especially was tired along with the girls but she was disheartened when she heard that they would be visiting a patient with cancer as part of the wish foundation.
"Can you girls go for me? I'm too tired," Yujin asked and Gaeul rolled her eyes.
"Are you serious, Yujin? I get that you're tired from travelling the world but our manager says will be getting a whole month break afterward and we can do whatever we want from there," Gaeul pointed out and Yujin groaned.
"Yeah, and also our fans mean alot to us, and what about you?" Rei asked and Yujin scoffed.
"What are you on about? I'm only being nice because I have to and I hate that I have to be fake!" Yujin complained and Gaeul shook her head in disappointment.
Sadly, Yujin can be lazy at times, she'd be often caught slacking in dance practices when off camera, and you can bet every dollar that she tried every excuse you could think of to get out of her work.
This would annoy her members especially Gaeul and they'd always be fighting and arguing with one another.
"Yujin, do not start this shit again... We've been over this how many God damn times already?! When are you ever going to change?!" Gaeul angrily asked and Yujin rolled her eyes.
"When management doesn't constantly make us work to death," She answered spitefully.
"Well, if you do not behave, Ms. An Yujin, you will be one sorry woman, do you hear me?" Gaeul coldly warned but Yujin shrugged it off.
Because of how she always tends to act, the crew and management, and even her own members don't like nor respect her, but she doesn't seem to care.
Yujin also tends to have bad habits of drinking and smoking too much and Gaeul always catches her vaping when she's not supposed to.
Wonyoung and Yujin's friendship began deteriorating as she was fed up with her antics and was disheartened to see her friend changing for the worse.
One quiet night, Yujin snuck out of the dorm without waking up the girls and sat on a bench to smoke and drink.
It was quite foggy and there were hardly any noises to be heard besides the slight sounds of the breeze which was perfect for her.
"Perfect. No one to bother me," Yujin muttered as she takes a sip of soju.
"Excuse me," She heard a feminine voice asked and she turned to see a unfamiliar woman.
Yujin jumped in surprise as she didn't notice the woman approaching her.
"W-what do you want?" She nervously asked.
"Oh, sorry for startling you, it's quite a foggy night is it?" She kindly asked.
"I guess you can say that..." Yujin muttered to her and took a puff from her pod.
"Shouldn't idols be limiting how much they drink and smoke?" The woman asked as she sat down next to her.
"Why is it your business?" She snarled and the woman frowned.
Seeing Yujin's attitude, the woman just stared at her intently and then gave her a cold demeanor.
"I'll tell you why you're here... It's because you're lazy, useless, and a pathetic excuse of an idol," The woman coldly said and Yujin was taken aback.
"Who the fuck are you to judge me?! I can't help but get overwhelmed sometimes! Maybe if you were an idol then you'd understand!" Yujin retorts and the woman shook her head.
"Tsk. Overwhelmed? Only because you just have to visit a special patient? Is that your only excuse? As someone who has a chronic heart condition, you disgust me," The woman angrily replied and Yujin was now lost for words trying to come up with the words.
"I-" She was about to say but was cut off.
"Shut it! Did you know I was once an idol like you? I couldn't practice or sing on some days but I still give it my all! Unlike you, who has a management who at least cares for you and would get you the help you need... My management never cared for me, if they don't see me as efficient... Poof, they will simply get rid of me like I'm sort of a piece of garbage meant to be disposed of," The woman explained her story and Yujin gulped in fear.
"Every day I have to work through excruciating pain! The only person who ever cared for me was the custodian who works here, and I have to keep working no matter what just to survive, and here I see a spoiled rotten you always coming up with excuses just to get out of work! You leave me speechless... Do you have any idea how lucky you are?" The woman coldly asked with a tear shedding from her eye and Yujin tried to shrug off the feeling of guilt but no matter how hard she tried... It lingered inside of her but she refused to show it.
"There are many other idols left forgotten in the winds of time and talents wasted, they would give anything to be in your position yet you couldn't care less... It's pitiful," She finished and Yujin was boiling deep inside.
"And who the hell are you?!" Yujin asked her and the woman grinned.
"Consider me your wake up call, An Yujin, I hope one day you realize the error of your ways... Goodnight," The woman bid goodbye and got up from the bench.
Yujin watched as the mysterious woman walked into the fog and vanished out of sight.
After that, Yujin was left angry and confused, she wondered who the woman was as she had never met or heard of her. She quickly concludes her drinking and smoking session and goes back inside the building.
When she got into the corridor she finds the janitor Jake sweep mopping the floor.
"Hey, Jake!" Yujin called out and he paused.
"Yes?" Jake replied and Yujin sighs.
"Do you happen to know a woman who was an idol here? She claims to have a heart condition but... I don't know she's making it up or not to trick me into making me feel bad," She asked and Jake frowned before looking down.
Jake goes into his pocket pulling out a picture of the very same woman that Yujin encountered earlier and her eyes widened in surprise.
"Is this the woman you're referring to?" Jake asked as he showed the photo.
"Y-yes, that's her alright, who is she?" She curiously asked and he deeply sighed.
"Her name is Jennifer Jung, she was once a trainee here, she was also the sister of Jessica and Krystal Jung, but she had a severe and chronic heart condition... I tried my best to help her when management wasn't looking but it wasn't enough, she perished five months into her training," He explained the story and sighed once more.
Yujin froze in terror and shivers were sent down her spine as she could hardly believe that she was talking to the spirit of Jennifer this whole time.
She didn't know what to make of it but Jake didn't see her as a crazy person and he already figured she saw Jennifer. Yujin returns to her dorm and Jake continues his janitorial duties.
After that night, Yujin was a changed woman much to everyone's surprise, she eventually quit smoking and stopped drinking as much, although she mostly kept to herself, she stopped complaining and followed their schedules.
Yujin and the girls visited the hospital patient without issues or trouble much to management's delight and they were happy they were able to deliver someone's last dying wish.
Sometimes Yujin felt the urge to return to her old habits but refused and kept going no matter what. Yujin would never forget that encounter that night.
She never saw Jennifer again but on some foggy nights, she felt her presence was near but never again would she take anything for granted.

"Ugh I hate Valentine's Day, why must everything be so pink?" Sam can't remember a Valentine's Day where Abigail hasn't complained about its aesthetic. Last year it was how tacky all the hearts were, the year before it was how all of the flower bouquets in her dad's store were setting of her allergies.
But what he doesn't remember, is seeing her physically pause mid rant, and then turn on her heel straight towards him. "Actually why are you here Sam, shouldn't you be doing gross couple things with your partner?"
Sam, thinking she's messing with him, laughs. "Because it's not today." Sebastian, who had been zoning out while Abigail had been complaining, is now exchanging several looks with Abigail. They share one last look before he bursts Sam's bubble.
"I have some bad news for you." In mere seconds relaxation turns into panic, Sam is throwing his head into his hands, realising he had absolutely no plans or anything to give you.
"What am I going to do?"
"I thought you said you already had ideas?"
"I did but I never got around to doing them because I thought I had more time." Sam groans. "Can't believe I'm going to get dumped on a day about love!" Sebastian rolls his eyes.
"Just go and get stuff from Pierre's, problem solved." The idea makes him perk up slightly, until the only girl in the room chimes in.
"Yes go get the slightly wilted flowers, and chocolates nobody wants from my dad's no one will even figure out you forgot." She pauses, sighing at how panicked her friend seems to be. "Just go own up to your mistake, your chances of forgiveness are greater that way."
The only conclusion that any of them really came was that Sam should at least be down at your farm with you. When he arrives you're placing items in the shipping bin unaware that he was even there. "Hey so um." You almost jump upon hearing him speak, but quickly notice the slight panic in his expression.
"What's wrong?"
"About Valentine's Day..."
"What about it, isn't it next week?" His facial features completely change, mouth hanging open as his next words pause of the tip of his tongue. Seeing his surprise you quickly catch on to your mistake, "...it's today isn't it?" You're immediately apologetic. "I'm so sorry I completely forgot!"
"Me too." You both stare at each other before breaking out into laughter.
"Wanna just wait 'till tomorrow to raid Pierre's for half price chocolate?" You suggest after catching your breath, he grins.
"Done!"

An Unexpected Match VI
DILF/DBF Miguel O’Hara x Female Reader
Pt. 1 Pt. 7
Summary: You’ve been living with the O’Hara’s for a month and it’s been the perfect life. But your nerves of your secret relationship begin to worsen when it was Miguel’s turn to host the barbecue which would be the last one before it became too cold, meaning everyone would be there, causing drama to stir…
Hey guys, sorry for another late update. I’ve just had so much writing assignments that it’s caused some writers block. Sadly no smut in this chapter, I had writers block with that and I really wanted to get a chapter to you guys, cause I feel so bad for not updating as much, cause I know what it feels like to be on the reader’s side.
Haven’t looked this over yet so I apologize for any grammatical mistakes.
Wc: 4.1k
————————————————————————
A long sigh escapes from you as you exit the lecture hall of your last class of the day, as you couldn't  wait to enjoy a nice three day weekend. You almost lost your balance as Stephanie side tackled you with a hug.
"Hey! What you doing for the rest of the day?"
"Miguel's going to pick me up for work in a few minutes and we're driving to Gabi's soccer match. Then nothing else." You walk across the street and stop at the pickup spot.
"Cute. You know I totally support and love that you moved in with Miguel almost a month ago. But we haven't gone out clubbing since. I miss dancing with my bestie." Stephanie pouts which makes you roll your eyes and chuckle. You look ahead and see a familiar black Aston Martin drive up which puts a giddy smile on your face.
"Damn girl. You've got it bad." Stephanie chuckled as she lightly elbowed you in the shoulder. The car pulled up right in front of the both of you.
"See you tomorrow Steph." You open the car door.
"For barbecue or clubbing?"
"Both." You say before saying goodbye and getting into the car.
"Hola, mi amor. How was your day?" Miguel smiled as he leaned over and gently took your chin, placing a sweet kiss to your lips.
"Hi Miggy. It was good. Glad the weeks over. How was work?" You happily return the kiss not before hearing a light tap on your car window as you see Stephanie smirking at you and mouthing the word, "love birds," before waving goodbye.
You chuckled from your best friends lack of maturity as Miguel drives off, headings towards the soccer fields.
"It wasn't bad. A bit stressful. Guess I shouldn't complain about it too much since you want to work there. The thought of that sounds like a dream come true." Miguel smirked as he squeezed your thigh that his hand was resting on.
"Get your dirty mind out of the gutter O'Hara." You lightly pinch his face from his comment, knowing exactly the thoughts circling his mind at the moment.
"No promises, hermosa." Miguel chuckled as his hand slipped higher up your thigh. Wearing a skirt today you knew his hand was only going to go further up your leg. Knowing it wasn't the right time you intertwined your hand in his.
After driving in a comfortable silence, saying something every once in a while about each others day, the car pulled into the soccer field parking lot. Miguel found a spot and turned off the car as he checked the time.
"Perfect. Got here a few minutes before it starts."
Before you got out of the car you noticed certain parents from the neighborhood sitting at the bleachers.
"Amor?" Miguel looked at you in concern from your sudden hesitation. His gaze followed the direction of your gaze finding the answer to your hesitation from exiting the car.
"I know the truth has to come out sooner than later. I just don't want to deal with the backlash. I don't care if my parents or the neighborhood might not approve. But I love you and Gabi. It's been so peaceful lately. I just don't want to disrupt it. I don't want this perfect bubble to pop." You look at Miguel as you still hold his hand. He smiles at you lovingly as he gently caresses you face before lifting your hand and placing a kiss on your knuckles.
"I understand. I don't want it to end either. But we both know no matter the reaction we'll both feel better to be public about our relationship. Plus it's better to do it sooner than later. Your parents will be less upset. Hopefully." Miguel sighed as he got out of the car you following right after as you both walk over to the bleachers.
You both find a seat right as the whistle from the ref went off, initiating the the first half of the game. After a few minutes into the game Gabi noticed the two of you in the crowd as she happily waved before paying attention to the game.
As the game continued the entire time both you and Miguel were the biggest fans as you both loudly cheered for Gabi when she had the ball.
"Run Gabi run!! You got this!"
"Vamos Gabriella! ¡Eres mejor que todos los demás jugadores! ¡Esto es fácil para ti!" (Let's go Gabriella! you are better than all the other players! This is easy for you!)
Both you and Miguel cheered louder as Gabi neared the goal and scored the final point in the game before ref blew the final whistle.
"Great job Gabi!" You cheered as you watch Gabi and her teammates jump and run around in excitement. After the team settled down you and Miguel along with other parents left the bleachers to join the kids. The coach had brought cupcakes for the team. When Gabi noticed you and Miguel walking over she ran over, face covered in chocolate frosting from the cupcake she devoured.
"Y/n! Papa! Did you see my goal?!"
"We did princesa. It was amazing. Now come here my little messy soccer player." Miguel kneeled down as he grabbed a small pack of tissues and used one to wipe her face.
"Thank you, Papa!" Gabi gave him a toothy grin, with one tooth missing. You smiled at the sight. She really was the cutest thing on earth.
"Are you ready to go home Gabi?" You extend your hand to her, which she happily took as she skipped while the three of you walked back to the car.
"Yeah! Can I get a Happy Meal?" Gabi looked up at you with her puppy eyes which made your heart melt.
"Only if Papa says it's ok." You smiled down at her to which she turns towards Miguel. Miguel scratches the back of his neck as he smiles back at his daughter.
"Since you scored such an awesome goal and you've been good with eating your vegetables this week, we can get you one."
"Yay!"
After arriving home, preparing for the barbecue tomorrow, and eating dinner it was time for everyone to go to bed.
You sat, in your pj shorts and tank top, on your shared bed in the master bedroom with your textbooks and notes sprawled out on the bed.
"It looks like my work desk in here." Miguel chuckled as he walked in and closed the door. He walked over to the walk in closest to grab a pair of sweats. He then walked back over to the bed as he picked you up and sat you on his lap after he sat on the bed.
"Sorry, I'll clean it up soon. I have a biochem midterm in two weeks and I'm a little nervous about it." You grab some of your notes as you rest your back against Miguel's chest.
"I don't mind, hermosa. I was in the same exact boat when I was in college." Miguel brushed your hair to one side as he gently placed his lips against your neck, leaving small kisses up and down your neck.
"Even though it's been two years since our time in Miami. You still look like you're in your twenties." You chuckle as you switch out your notes for another pile on the bed.
"Keep talking like that and you won't be studying for that chem exam." Miguel chuckled as he continued to place his lips against your neck and shoulder as one of his hands went under your shirt and began to caress your breasts making a small moan escape your lips.
"Miggy nooo....I have to study. Maybe tomorrow night." You lean into his touch as he continues to caress you.
"I thought you were going dancing tomorrow night, hmm?" Miguel's tone showed a hint of annoyance. Not for you going out but the thought of other men seeing you all dressed up and trying to win their luck with you made his blood boil. Hearing the hint of jealousy, you turn your body to face him, now straddling his lap. Most definitely not the smartest idea when it comes to your perverted boyfriend.
"Stephanie really misses going out dancing. And I haven't been spending enough time with her lately. So I definitely owe her this one." You brush some of his curls back before leaving a sweet kiss on his lips. "But I'll give this night to you."
"Well I'll make sure it's worth your while." Miguel smirked as he grabbed you by the waist, lifting you up from his lap and pushing you down on the bed as he hovered over you.
....
The sweet kiss pressed to your forehead happily woke you from your slumber as your eyes met the reddish-brown hues that makes your heart swoon.
"Buenos días, cariño. I made you coffee." Miguel smiled lovingly as he places a cup of coffee on your bedside table.
"Thank you Miggy. What time is it? You're already up and dressed." You sat up as you happily took the coffee as the scent of caffeine was beginning to wake you up.
"It's only 8:30. You slept through your normal alarm but I thought you needed the rest since I kept you up really late last night. I'll be downstairs beginning to prep the food. See you downstairs." Miguel left you with a sweet kiss before heading downstairs to the kitchen.
After taking another sip you decided to get out of bed. You winced from feeling sore. Damn, Miguel really was rough last night. Not that your complaining but it probably wasn't the best day to hide a slight limp. And ugh, you were suppose to go out tonight with Stephanie. You got dressed and ready before heading downstairs to the kitchen where you saw sweet Gabi eating her colorful cereal while Miguel began preparing food for the barbecue
"Good Morning my Baby Bug." You gently comb your fingers through Gabi's hair as she gives you a big hug which you happily return. Moving to the other side of the kitchen with Miguel you give him a side hug and a kiss on the cheek before you begin helping with food preparations.
"Thank you for the help Amor." Miguel returned the kiss to your cheek as he continued to chop up vegetables.
The sound of the doorbell rang followed by a  deep voice yelling out for Miguel. If you didn't physically see Miguel standing right next to you, you almost would have thought it was him at the door.
"Dios mío ¿por qué está aquí a esta hora?"
(My god, why is he here at this hour?) Miguel groaned in frustration as he stopped his task, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Tío Gabi! Papa! Tío Gabi is here!" Gabi jumped in her seat excited before getting down and running to the front door.
"Gabi, no running." Miguel said but his words fell deaf to his daughter's ears as she went to open the door.
"Your brother?" you can't help but smile from your boyfriend's frustration which also annoyed him. He playfully sent you a glare before giving you a sweet kiss to the lips, as a loving warning to not go along with the antics.
You heard Gabi talking away in excitement about her past week to her uncle as they made it in to the kitchen. Following after a happy five year old was a tall man (not as tall as Miguel.) with the iconic O'Hara hair, eyes, and smile.
"So this is the famous Y/n, I've heard so much about. Mig is always talking about you. It's nice to put name to face." Gabriel gave you a hug before trying to give one to his brother which, Miguel only gave him a half-assed one in return.
"It's nice to meet you too Gabriel." You lightly glared at Miguel to give a proper hug to which he rolled his eyes and then gave his younger brother a hug.
"You can call me Gabe, you're family! Wish my brother would pop the question though and make it official." Gabe said happily as he took an apple from the bowl on the island. His comment made you blush, you understand now where Gabi gets her bright personality from.
"It's not even 9am yet. Why are you here so early?" Miguel said as he went back to prepping food, which you continued to help with. In between the two of you came Gabe as he quickly stole an empanada before Miguel could react. However, when he tried to steal another one Miguel snatched his wrist and sent him a glare to which he held his hand up in surrender.
"Can I have one?" You dramatically fluttered your eyes at Miguel to which he happily offered you one. "Thank you, honey." You kissed his cheek before taking a bite out of it.
"Hey, why the warmth for her and not me too?" Gabe whined. His smile returned when you snuck him another empanada. As he happily ate it. "Never mind. Mig she's a keeper."
Miguel looked back at the tray and to Gabe eating what seemed like a second empanada before lightly glaring out you. "Cariño, I thought you were on my side." He pouted to which you caressed his cheek.
"I'm always on your side Miguel. But he gave me the puppy eyes. I couldn't resist not giving him another one."
Gabi walked up and tugged on Miguel's pants to get his attention. "Papa can I have one?"
"Of course princesa. Here." Miguel gave her one and within seconds she handed it to her uncle.
"I can't trust anyone in this household anymore." Miguel huffed as he put tin foil over the food and put it on a shelf only he could reach.
"Aw, we all still love you. Right Gabi?" You wrap your arms around Miguel's waist. Gabi ran back and hugged both your and Miguel's legs before Miguel picked her up in one arm as you both give him a hug, placing a huge smile on his face. His happy family.
"The reason why I came early was to meet Y/n before you two have to pretend you aren't together at the barbecue." Gabe said as he finished is third empanada.
"What does Tío mean papa?" Asked Gabi, confused by his words.
"Do you remember when Papa and I told you to keep a secret about our relationship until we told you it was time?"
"Yeah. I don't like it."
"I know you don't like it princesa. We don't either. But we have to keep the secret at the barbecue too." Said Miguel as he continued to hold her in his arms.
"But why can't we tell people?"
"Well, some people might not be happy about your papa and I being together. And it's been such a happy and peaceful bubble that it's scary to pop that." Your heart started to crack from seeing Gabi's lips pout. You brushed some of her brown curls behind her ear. "Oh sweetie, it breaks my heart to see you sad. But I promise it won't be a secret for long."
Your words made her smile appear again as she lifted her tiny hand and tossed her pinky. "Pinky promise?"
You smiled as you hooked your pinky around hers. "Pinky promise."
After getting the rest of the food prepared and the backyard all set up, with the help of Gabe and a little bit from Gabi it was time from people to arrive for the barbecue. While setting up you and Miguel made sure nothing of yours in the main space was hidden away, you've done it a few times every time your father came over to hangout with Miguel.
As people from the neighborhood began to flood in, the background was filled with local gossip and music. It was hard not to gravitate to Miguel, but luckily you had many neighbors who were eager to catch up with you, most likely trying to hear the gossip about your argument with your parents.
"Hey! This barbecue is great! So many people are here. Best one this season." Stephanie hugged you when she spotted you.
"Hey! Probably because majority of the people here are the single mothers or wives who are flirts trying to get Miguel's attention." You rolled your eyes as your crossed your arms.
"Ooo someone's jealous. But no need to worry, cause that man is heads over heels in love with you." Whispered Stephanie which made your smile widen as you took a quick glance to see where Miguel was, talking to a random dad from Gabi's class. As if noticing your gaze he looked back at you, eyes and smile soften.
"Aww your so in love too. I've never seen you like this. It's so cute." Stephanie gave you another hug in excitement. You then heard a familiar female voice. As you turned in that direction you noticed your parents, walking straight in your direction.
"Hi sweetie." Said your mom. She stood by your father, but you knew she wanted to give you a hug.
"Hi."
"Honey, we've missed you so much these past few months. We feel so guilty for how we needed things. We... I mean I should have been supportive instead of taking Tyler's side and trying to keep you together. I just thought your were so happy together, but I realized I was wrong." Your mother said as she tried not to tear up.
"Its been a few months so I'm over it now. But I'm glad that you realized your mistake. And I'm admit I missed you both too." You hugged both your parents which made them both happy.
"We know you are living with Stephanie these passed few months. We can talk about you moving back later." Said your mom.
"Actually, Stephanie and I decided that we are going to be roommates. She has extra room so." You said, though you were living currently in the house your were in right now you weren't technically lying. You had lived with Stephanie.
"Oh, ok. Well, your mother and I hope to see you for dinner tomorrow?" Said your father. Though you wanted to, you and Miguel made plans with Gabi to go to the beach and spend the night up there since it was a three day weekend.
"I already have plans for the rest of the weekend but how about this coming Thursday for dinner?"
You suggested, which put a smile to your parents' faces.
"That works for us. Now where are those famous empanadas." Your dad said as he made his way to where Miguel was at the barbecue.
As you caught up with your mom and Stephanie, Gabi ran up to you.
"Hi Gabi, is everything alright?"
"Yeah! My friends and I  are playing tag, but my ponytail fell out. Can you braid my hair?" Asked Gabi as she helped up her green pony tail with a plastic flower on it.
"Of course I can. Do you want one or two braids?" You smile happily as you take the hair tie.
"Can I have two please?" Gabi held Theo fingers up as she answered you.
"Perfect. Without running can you go grab another ponytail for me?"
"Yep!" Gabi smiled up at you before speed walking inside the house followed by two of her friends.
"Your going to be a great mom, when the time comes. You're so good with Gabi. She loves you." Said your mom as she watched Gabi go inside the house.
"Yeah. When the time comes." You smile softly as you also watch her go inside. Little did your mom know that you unofficially adopted Gabi. You couldn't bare to have her or Miguel not in your life. It would break your heart.
Two minutes later Gabi came back outside and walked back to you, handing you the same style hair tie but in pink.
"Thank you." You began to braid her hair while talking with Gabi, Stephanie and your mom. After a few minutes you finished the braids. "All done." You smile as Gabi gently lift her braids, looking at them before smiling up at you.
"Thank you! It's perfect!" Gabi gave you a big hug which you happily returned.
"Of course." Your attention was turned towards someone calling out your name, loudly. Your eyes widen when you saw that voice came from Tyler, who was angrily walking towards you. "Gabi please go to your father." Out of instinct you gently move her behind you, to protect her from the angry man walking your way. As if she understood your words she quietly nodded before making her way to her dad.
"What are you doing here Tyler?"
"You're a fucking liar, bitch!" Tyler pointed a finger in your face as he yelled at you, spit flying everywhere his face red.
"Watch your language Tyler. There's children here." You argue back. "And can we please do this not in the middle of a neighborhood backyard?"
"Fuck no! You are a fucking whore and a cheating cunt!" Your eyes widen from his crude words.
"What's going on over here?" Miguel said as he walked over to your side.
"You! You're the asshole whose this slut is fucking!" Accused Tyler which made your eyes widen and a few people in the crowd gasp.
"For the last time Tyler, I'm his daughter's babysitter. He's a full time single father. He needs the help. Coming here and calling me names and false accusations is really low. You cheated on my Tyler. We're done. Let it go."
"You fucking liar." Tyler was about to hit you when Miguel stepped in front of you as he grabbed Tyler and went to throw him out of the house.
"The audacity of that man."
"He must have been drunk."
"How dare he make such accusations."
Whispers from the crowd echoed through the backyard until Miguel walked back in the backyard. "Sorry about that everyone. Go back to enjoying the food and drinks." After his words everyone listened, as the music came back on quieting the gossipy neighbors.
Your eyes widen you noticed Miguel's lip was split. Both your gazed made contact as you direct him to meet you inside in a few minutes. You leave to go inside, upstairs to the master bathroom as you get the first aid kit.
A few minutes later, Miguel walked in as he wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you against him as he leans down to kiss your neck. A hiss came from him, obviously from his split lip. You turn around, still in his arms.
"I've been dying to hold you all day, amor. It's so hard not to be near you."
"I know. It's been hard for me too. But I need to fix that up. I can’t believe that asshole hit you. If I ever see him again, I will-“ You were interrupted by another sweet kiss to your lips. You pulled away as you lightly hit his chest. “Miguel…”
“I know I know. But I just can’t keep my self off of you.” He was about to kiss you again but instead you put your hand in-front of his lips before gesturing for him to sit on the bed. As he sat on the bed he grabbed you by surprise and had you straddle his lap.
“Miguel…”
“What? It will help you fix me up.” Miguel smirked as he kept you in a strong hold as you took some ointment and gently spread it on his lower lip before it dissolved. You kissed the top of his nose. “There all done. But I don’t think you should use those lips for a day, maybe two.”
“Amor, that’s torture. I’ll wait till everyone leaves. But not before I do this.”
Miguel was about to kiss you again but you easily blocked him with your finger, earning a frown from him. You then got off his lap.
“I’ll see you downstairs.” You wink at him before making your way down.
After sometime the barbecue began to die down and practically everyone was gone except for your older brother and Stephanie who helped clean up.
“You know what y/n. I’m going to have to reschedule our clubbing night, I’m exhausted from this evening. But I’ll snatch you away next Saturday.” Said Stephanie as she hugged you goodbye before walking out. Your older brother came up to you and gave you a hug which he rarely does.
“I think you two are great together. I’ll be there for you when you tell mom and dad.” He whispered with a smile before leaving and closing the door. Miguel walked up to you as he warped his arms around you in a loving embrace.
“What’s on your mind?”
“I think I’m getting closer to telling my parents about us.”

Daddy Cupid
Modern!Various One Piece Men X Reader
-When your father grows weary of your single life, he takes it upon himself to play matchmaker. With him knowing the entire city, he embarks on a mission to find you the perfect match.
Chapter 2: Cupid's Arrow
As you approach the condo, the guard recognizes you and opens the door with a smile and a nod, familiar with your face.
Having a spare key, you simply let yourself in and crash onto the sofa.
"Y/N," a voice calls from behind you.
With your face planted on the couch, all you can manage is a muffled "Heyy."
The man groans, and hearing his footsteps walking away, you finally turn to face upright.
"Smokeyyyy..."
"What?" he replies from the bathroom, where he's brushing his teeth.
"I fell for Dad's tactics again..."
His head peeks out of the bathroom as he rinses his mouth. "Who is it this time?"
"Edward's son..." you sigh, realizing you've been roped into another matchmaking setup.
"Well, that can't be that bad," Smoker remarks optimistically.
"You say that, but all the dates Dad has set up for me so far are weirdos," you retort, listing off your previous experiences.
"They're not weirdos."
"King tried to rope me into his cult. Kuro is obsessed with cats, and his two cats are hideous. Pretty sure he also had a knife play kink. And Cracker plays with his food like he's 7."
"Marco isn't that bad from what I heard," Smoker offers.
"Who's Marco?" you inquire.
"Edward's son. He just moved here a few weeks ago. He's a doctor," Smoker explains.
"Ugh, you're supposed to talk shit about this, don't list off his good traits. Do you not want me to marry at 40?" you complain, frustrated with Smoker's positive outlook.
"You're hopeless. Come on, I'm on duty," Smoker insists, pulling you up.
"Can't I just stay hereeeee...." you whine.
"No," Smoker says firmly, pushing you out and closing the door behind you both.
You pout as Smoker escorts you out, and you protest, Smoker sighed. "If you want someone who'd shit on people, go visit Buggy or something."
"Fine, maybe I will!" you stomp away, and Smoker follows you silently.
Before you part ways, he ruffles your hair and says, "See ya later. Good luck on your date," with a smirk. Leaving you more upset.
As you mumble under your breath and scrunch your face in frustration, you become distracted and fail to pay attention to where you're walking.
"You're in the way!"
In a moment of carelessness, you accidentally get hit by a bike, causing you to stumble and fall to the ground. As you and the man on the bike fall, you quickly look up to see who it is. Your eyes meet his, and you both take a moment to assess the situation. You find yourself face to face with a tall and imposing figure. The man had a considerable stature, with a strong and well-built frame. He has black, curly hair cut to chin length that fans out at the tips, tanned skin, and an altogether lean, long build.
Your upsetness quickly takes over, and you glare at the man who bumped into you.
"This was a sidewalk, why are you even here!" you snap.
"Bikes are allowed on this sidewalk. Why weren't you paying attention?" he grumbles in response.
"You ruined my clothes!" you exclaim.
"You ruined my bike."
"No, I didn't!" you argue, pointing at the perfectly okay bike that was just on the ground.
"Fine, maybe my bike is fine, but you're still at fault," he concedes, getting up and dusting himself off before picking up his bike.
You hurriedly get up, not wanting him to divert from the issue at hand. However, you wince when a sudden pain shoots through your wrist as you try to push yourself up, causing you to clutch it in discomfort.
The man looks at your wrist and, despite his grumbling, takes your hand to examine it. You wince in pain and pull your hand away from him.
He then pulls out his wallet and hands you a paper. "Calling card. Get that checked, then call me. Sorry for the trouble," he mutters, seeming somewhat remorseful.
"Shouldn't you take me to somewhere I can get checked instead of telling me to go alone?" you glare at him, frustrated by his lack of assistance.
"I'm busy. Anyways, just call me," he says as he starts to leave, showing little interest in staying to help further.
You trudge to the closest hospital or clinic you can find, nursing your injured wrist. The nurse at the front desk helps you fill out the necessary paperwork, and you take a seat in the waiting area.
After a while, the doctor emerges from his room, the doctor was a tall, lean, muscular man with blond hair and a rather sleepy look on his face sporting some stubble around his chin. The doctor briefly speaks with an elderly lady, cautioning her to be careful, before turning his attention to the nurse and inquiring about the next patient to see.
The nurse calls for you, and you make your way to the doctor's room. The doctor, with a sweet smile, welcomes you inside.
"So, Ms. L/N, for a broken wrist?" he reads from your paperwork.
You nod and reply, "Y-Yeah, an asshole bumped into me..."
He chuckles sympathetically and looks at you as you cradle your injured wrist. "May I?"
"O-Oh, right," you say, realizing he needs to examine it. Slowly, you hand your hand over to him, and he gently takes it, carefully inspecting your wrist. He proceeds to move it and perform various examinations.
"Well, I'll just wrap it up and keep it on for two weeks. You can't let this get wet, and I'd suggest you remove it when you sleep," he advises, outlining the treatment plan for your broken wrist.
"Also, from your paperwork, it said you got hit by a bike. You might have bruises or something, would you want me to check those too?" the doctor inquires.
"Uh, sure..." you agree, realizing that it's probably a good idea to make sure you haven't sustained any other injuries from the accident.
The doctor carefully examined you, paying attention to any potential injuries beyond your broken wrist. After a thorough check, he pointed out, "Well, it seems you have an abrasion at the back of your thigh, and there's another one on your ankle."
You blinked in surprise, realizing you hadn't even noticed those injuries. "Oh, I didn't even notice."
The doctor chuckled at your response. "Perhaps its the adrenaline from the accident must have masked the pain. It happens more often than you'd think. I'll clean and dress these wounds for you, so they don't get infected."
After the doctor dressed your wounds and provided you with the necessary care, you paid for the medical services and expressed your gratitude before leaving the clinic.
With your wrist securely wrapped and your minor injuries tended to, you made your way to Buggy's place.
You knock on the door, and it's answered by a slim, well-endowed woman with dark-green eyes and long, wavy black hair. She greets you with a scowl, clearly not pleased with your presence.
"Who are you?" she scoffs, crossing her arms defensively.
"Don't worry, I'm not here for you," you reply dismissively, pushing past her to enter the room. She gasps at your audacity.
She quickly runs to the couch, where you spot a familiar redheaded figure watching TV. She jumps into his arms, and you roll your eyes at the dramatic display before knocking on Buggy's room, eager to get this meeting over with.
As you knock on Buggy's room, the redhead inside turns to see who's entered. His eyes light up with excitement when he sees you, and he quickly pushes away the woman who was in his arms.
"My love! Y/N~ You couldn't help but come for me, hmm~?" Shanks exclaims, trying to pull you closer.
"Is Bug home?" you ask, trying to keep the conversation on track.
"I am~ Do you still need him~?" Shanks sings, pulling you closer once more. Annoyed, you grab his ear, causing him to hiss in pain. "Ow owowowow!!!"
"Yes or no?" you demand.
"He's asleep!!!!" He finally answers, albeit reluctantly.
Pushing Shanks away, you roll your eyes and decide to call Buggy directly. You pick up your phone and dial his number, not wanting to deal with any more unnecessary drama in the room.
In the background, you can hear the woman and Shanks starting to argue, but you pay them no mind as you patiently wait for Buggy to answer your call.
Buggy picks up the phone after a few rings, and you quickly inform him of your presence.
"I'm outside, open your door," you instruct.
You hear some commotion and noises from inside the room, and then the door swings open. "H-Hi!" Buggy stammers.
Without wasting any time, you push him back into the room and close the door behind you, not wanting to deal with Shanks or the woman any longer.
"Bug, Smokey didn't comfort me," you complain, turning your attention to Buggy.
"Comfort you why?" Buggy asks, looking genuinely confused.
"Dad got me another date..." you sigh in exasperation.
"Again?? Didn't he promise not to?" Buggy questions, clearly surprised.
"I know, right?! He never keeps his promise! I told him I'm moving to mom's if he doesn't keep this promise."
Buggy raises an eyebrow. "Who's your date this time?" he inquires, curious about the latest candidate your father has selected.
"Smokey said his name is Marco. I don't know him, though..." you explain.
Buggy chuckles and says, "I bet he's an ass too."
"THANK YOU!!!" you exclaim, rolling your eyes. "Smokey said he's amazing," you mock, emphasizing the word 'amazing' with a sarcastic tone.
"Oh, I bet he also said how this one might be the right one!" Buggy adds, catching onto the pattern of your father's matchmaking attempts.
"EXACTLY OMG!!" you reply, the frustration evident in your voice. It seems both you and Buggy share a similar skepticism about these setups.
"Why not just ask your dad to help you with Hawkeye," Buggy suggests.
You flush and retort, "Shut up, you clown."
"It was just a suggestion. You want him anyway," He insists.
"He has kids," you remind him.
Buggy smirks and teases, "What a dilf, am I right?"
"You're the worst, omg! I have a date tomorrow, hellooooo!" you exclaim, exasperated by his antics.

A/N: Aaah okay my first fic on this blog!! I'm so excited to get back into writing, especially with my favorite characters and people. Tumblr media
The way that you met the Cullens was, at best, not ideal. A broken down car here, the offer of a ride there. It wasn't a bad thing - the friendship you had with the family had lasted all through high school up to a local community college.
When they told you the truth about who they were, what they were, you thought it was a joke.
"Yeah, very funny. Halloween isn't for another two months, and you can't all go as vampires, that would be so stupid." You snorted, returning to the homework that was scattered on the dining room table.
"(Y/N)... Think about it." Alice placed her hand on your shoulder, forcing you to listen. How are you just now noticing her hands are so cold? "Have you ever seen any of us eat? Go into the sun?"
You didn't want to think about it, you knew they would never lie to you like this. It's too insane to be a lie. But didn't they lie and pretend like they were human? It was just all too confusing, so naturally, it took you a few days before you starting going around their house again. They answered all your questions, even when you decided to punish them all a bit for not telling you sooner.
"So, have you ever thought about the ecological damage you might be doing with all the hunting?" You had been interrogating them for hours, but honestly? They were grateful. Grateful that you didn't run off and tell the entire town, or worse, flee from Forks and lose you forever.
"Honestly, we all have different preferences." Emmett replied cooly, as if you were chatting about movies. "I prefer some of the bigger stuff: Bears, wildcats. It's mostly deer, though."
"Never people." Carlisle confirms with a smile, and you almost immediately regret giving him a chance to speak. Before their confession, the pounding of your heart was a fun secret, a dream you knew would never come true. The scenarios have run through your head all the time, anytime you looked at him. And those rare moments where you felt brave enough to make eye contact? But now, you knew that it was basically a public confession. You never talked about it. The Cullens never did, either.
"I know one of you has to know something about the Reliquary of Sainte Foy." You sighed, dropping your bag at your feet.
"Please, (y/n), come in." Edward quipped from the living room.
"I mean, this whole thing makes no sense!" You continued, thinking back to every single time you've used Edward to complain. "First, she starts off the semester with the Renaissance, then goes to modern minimalism, then back to freakin' Jesus times?"
"You know," Alice strode in, reading over the same paper, "When I have questions about art history, I usually ask Carlisle." She leaned against the counter. "He's the oldest of us." The look her and Edward shared were lost to you, as you already began to think of excuses as to why you shouldn't be alone in a room with him. The fear of looking and sounding stupid overcame the desire to just do anything with him. The desire to mess up that stupidly perfect hair of his, or his cold hands roughly wrapping around your-.
No. Absolutely not.
"Ah, no! I wouldn't want to bother him. He's probably super busy, with all of his... doctoring stuff-"
"Nonsense." Edward smiled. "He would be overjoyed to help."
"Edward, seriously, don't-" You pleaded, but it was too late. Carlisle's name echoed throughout the house, but it felt like a death bell.
"I hope you find your answers!" Alice quickly took her exit out the front door, with Edward following right behind her, with a polite "Excuse me."
"(Y/N)!" He greeted you fondly, noticing Edward and Alice's backs as they walked deeper into the forest that surrounded the house. "Didn't Edward call for me?" He was watching them, but you were watching how he saw you and immediately smiled, and the way his arms flexed on the table.
Stop.
"Yeah, he did. They insisted that you could help me with art history, but this is old, old crap, and like, yeah, you're old, but you're not that old, so it's not really..." He began to smile again. "Super important." You finished, suddenly very aware of how you were standing. And how your hand rested so close to his. And how hot your face suddenly got.
"Well, what is it you need my help with?" He took your assignment paper. "The Reliquary of Sainte Foy. Around what time was that?" He looked back at you.
"Uh, the- Jesus times. Like upper double digits for the year. Which, I mean, I don't know when you were born, but I don't think you're that old, I mean you're still fun and pretty cool." God, why couldn't you just stop talking!
"Come on." He turned his back, taking your picking up your bag and slinging it over his shoulder. "I think I have something in my office."
His office? He's taking you to his office? You've been inside of it before, but it wasn't just him and you, it was him and his kids. Just keep reminding yourself: You are his children's friend. You're friends with every single one of this man's children. You're probably not even on his radar! A (publicly) mid-30 year old local surgeon, and men that looked like him in this part of Washington was rare. And to be going after a college student? Pull it together.
The steely resolve quickly crumbled as he held the door open for you to walk past him, and if you had any doubts he could hear your heart before, they were absolutely gone. You could hear your pounding heart in your head. The office was gorgeous, a few lamps and some candles gave the dark office a warm glow, and you could see he had been actively working on... something?
"I'm so sorry, did I interrupt something?" You glanced at the papers on his desk.
"Oh, no, I was just going over some old files. You could never interrupt me."
Oh.
"Now." He began scanning a section of his large bookshelves. "I unfortunately was not born in 'Jesus times,' but I was born in 1640, and my father was an Anglican priest, so I might have something about early Christian relics." He finally pulled a large dark blue book from the shelf and handed it to you. "What about The Book of Sainte Foy? Written in 1010 A.D. and translated in 1995."
"Yes, please, that would be amazing." You replied quickly, eager to spend as little time in this room as possible.
"(Y/N), you seem stressed. If college is getting to be too much, you could always take a break." His eyebrows knit together and set the book on his desk. Your eyes followed his hand and you swallowed. This cannot be happening.
"Uh, no, it's not college! College is fine. It's just... other stuff." Your hands clasped together to try and ease some of your nerves.
"Well, (Y/N), if it's something more personal, you know you can always talk to me. I've enjoyed having you around and I hate to see you upset." You knew he was trying to ease information out of you, but his words just made it harder.
"Carlisle, I-" Oh god. No. Stop talking. His hand came to rest on your upper arm, his icy hand almost burning your hot skin. You've imagined this so many times "It's you!"
Wait. No! Keep talking! The look of slight shock and confusion on his face combined with the gentle grip he had on your arm had wiped your brain of whatever you were going to say. His hand relaxed and fell back to his side.
"Me? (Y/N), did I make you uncomfortable?" His voice was soft, but serious. Fix this, now!
"No! Well, sort of. But no! Just... listen." You rubbed the back of your neck, shifting your weight between your legs. He leaned back against his desk and looked at you.
This was going to be hard.
"It's just... You make me nervous because you know, you're like a genetically modified beauty of a human being. I mean, have you seen yourself? Actually seen yourself?"
Carlisle opened his mouth to respond but he couldn't get the words out before you continued.
"You are... gorgeous. And I know, Edward's complained to me about that whole 'Oh, our beauty just lures in innocent prey so we can destroy them,' thing, but you're just a... a genuinely beautiful person. You help people in need, you go to some extreme lengths to help people because why? Because you're a doctor and it's what you do, damn it! It's amazing. You're amazing." You took a breath, filling your lungs with all the words you've kept to yourself. "And I like your hands."
And you like his hands? That's what your confession is ending on? Okay, own it.
"You like my hands?" He questioned, biting back a smile. Of course that's what he focused on. "Tell me about my hands." He stood up off his desk and moved closer to you. You felt like the breath was being sucked out of your lungs as you tried to organize your thoughts.
"Well, they're..." His hand came up to your face, thumb grazing your cheekbone.
"Go on."
"I like the way they're..." In an effort to look anywhere else but his eyes, you glanced down to his chest. His face seemed to inch closer to yours as you searched for words you knew you wouldn't find. The hand on your face traveled to the back of your neck, and his other hand found the small of your back. Your hands rested on his biceps, your last attempt to try to cover up your attraction towards him.
"Tell me you want this." Carlisle whispered, pressing you closer to him, encouraged by your racing heart.
"I want this so bad." You admitted, and those were the words that broke the both of you. He pressed you against a bookshelf as his lips met yours, and the amount of passion coming from Carlisle was shocking. His thumb came around your neck to wrap around the front, and the simple weight of his hand caused you to moan in his mouth. He smiled into the kiss and your hands went to his hair, tugging as gently as you could.
"Jump." He whispered in between kisses. The faint taste of spearmint lingered, and you whined at the loss.
"What?" You pulled back and stared at him.
"Jump."
God, please let his vampire strength come in clutch. You wrapped your legs around his waist and his hands found the bottom of your thighs. He placed you on top of his desk, careful as to not disturb any documents or books, and pulled you in again. this time, there was something different. The kiss was more insistent, more demanding.
"More." He groaned, and slotted his head into the curve of your neck, biting gently, and kissing the same spots.
You had never seen Carlisle like this, never this... out of control.
"So, when is this paper due?" He asked, pulling you out of your thoughts. He walked back to the door of his office, laying his hand on the doorknob. You simply stared at him, still catching your breath. Did he seriously just ask that? Now? "Is it tonight?"
"No?"
"Good." He grinned at you, and turned the lock. "Because it's not getting done."

the beginning - rafe cameron
summary: you didn't expect to finally meet rafe after going to your best friend, sarah's house after school || warnings: alcohol, mentions of a toxic relationship at the end || genre: best friend's brother, fluff?, mention of angst at the end || word count: approximately 780
I walked onto Tannyhill, I was shocked at how big it was. I shouldn't have been though, the Cameron's were probably the richest people on Figure 8, so it's no shock their house was this bag and this nice.
My best friend, Sarah, and I were hanging out again after school, just as we always did. Thing was, usually we'd either go out or hang out at my place but my mom was going to be home early today and she was already in a bad mood lately, so Sarah said we could just go to her place for a change.
We walked inside and she led me up to her bedroom. I put my backpack in there before she led me downstairs to the kitchen to get a snack.
I sat at the kitchen island, scrolling on my phone as Sarah got some chips and put it out in front of us before sitting down next to me. I took a chip and ate it as I put my phone down.
"Sorry that we couldn't just go to my place. My mom has been so annoying lately." I complained.
"Ugh, I get that. But, either way, it's fine. No one's home." Sarah told me and I just nodded, eating another chip.
"Where is everyone?" I asked, I expected her dad to be out working, since he often was, Wheezie was likely still at school, and I didn't expect Rafe to be here either since he was never home when we were, but usually at least Rose was around.
"Dad's at work, Wheezie's at school, Rose is at the country club, and Rafe... I don't know where he is and I'd rather not know." Sarah told me, giggling a little, making me giggle as well.
We continued eating our chips and just talking about the most random stuff, as best friends do, but I couldn't stop thinking about Rafe Cameron. I'd seen him in family photos and maybe from the distance, and of course, I'd heard a lot about him, but I'd never formally met him before. From what Sarah had told me, along with other people as well, he was cool- according to other people, not including Sarah- but he was also kind of an asshole.
One of the French doors that led into the kitchen was suddenly opened and Sarah and I both looked over to see Rafe. Looking past him, I could see Kelce and Topper on the patio, sitting down on the outdoor couch and getting comfortable as Rafe came inside.
Rafe didn't pay much mind to me at first, seemingly not even noticing me and definitely not even acknowledging Sarah as he went straight to the fridge, opening it up and looking through it.
Sarah let out an annoyed groan at the sight of her older brother before she looked over at me, rolling her eyes at him being here. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
Rafe took some beers out of the fridge before closing it. He looked over at her, glancing at me for a moment, before looking back at Sarah. "This is my house too." He told his sister before looking at me again. "Who's this?" He then asked her.
"This is Y/n. Leave her alone." Sarah told him harshly.
"Calm down, Sarah." Rafe groaned. "I don't even know how anyone's friends with you." He then told her.
Sarah scoffed, "You're one to talk!" She defensively said back.
Rafe just looked at me once more before walking off, going outside to his friends and pretty much slamming the door shut behind him.
"Well, that's Rafe." Sarah said once he was outside again.
I looked outside the windows of the French door, seeing Rafe manspreading on the couch with his friends. "He seems..." I trail off, not really knowing what to say.
"Like a dick? I know." Sarah finished my sentence.
I glance at her for a moment, the both of smiling a little at what she said before glancing back outside again, this time, seeing Rafe looking at me. I quickly looked away, looking back at my best friend as she grabbed the bag of chips.
"Let's go up to my room. I don't want to be down here near him." Sarah told me and I just nodded, going along with her as I walked off with her, not knowing that Rafe was watching me leave.
Little did I know, that little interaction between Rafe and I would be the start of something much bigger. A relationship. A relationship that'd change my friendship with Sarah, a relationship that'd change me. A relationship that'd be so toxic and unhealthy, but a relationship that I'd never want to leave.

PAIRING. na jaemin x reader SUMMARY.how's jaemin gonna give back for all of y/n's efforts now that he finally can? it's been years—just how much has everything changed? GENRE. angst, fluff, she fell first 🤭 W/C. 3.5k NOTE. hello, part two is here! so sorry i couldn't make a taglist. i didn't have time to make one. nevertheless, i hope this fic make its way back to you. love u all and thankies sm !!!! also, my requests are open !!!
(☉。☉)!→ my other works !!!!!! part one here!!
i find it hard to picture myself ever being as dedicated to something or someone again, just like how i dedicated my entire college life to na jaemin.
lately, i've been feeling like i forgot what it's like to actually have a dream. back then, na jaemin was my dream, he was my driving force. i would force myself to wake up so early in the morning just so i could see him (or his car) enter the gates of the university. i would go to school even though i am sick and feel a lot better when i get home because i saw na jaemin. but now two years after graduating, i still haven't found a decent job that i actually enjoy.
it's a common experience that many people go through, and i suppose i shouldn't complain about it. maybe i need to put in more effort and push myself harder. part of me wonders if having na jaemin back in my life would rekindle that same sense of dedication that i once had. but as i say these thoughts out loud, they sound absurd, even to myself. why would i wish for my first love to return just so i could find a decent job? why would i long for na jaemin to come back merely to feel that spark in my life again? it's puzzling why i'm even dwelling on thoughts of him and wondering if he holds the key to my happiness and success.
oh, to dream.
oh, for that old dedication to still burn within you.
if only you hadn't acted so dumb that day. could life have taken a different path? are you even happy now? if you hadn't let fear hold you back back then, if you'd actually been brave enough to listen and follow through, would you be happier today?
but no matter how much you keep bothering yourself with that memory, if people come up to you and ask if you feel bad about everything that happened that day, you'd say no. you don't feel bad at all.
deciding to let him go was one of the best things you did. he seemed happy when you left, and after that, you never heard anything about him. he's like a touchy subject in your group of friends, which can be tough sometimes since you share friends. but does it really matter now? him not being in your life probably means he's happier and more peaceful, right?
are you feeling peaceful? is being stuck in a 9-5 job that hardly brought you joy a happy situation? scratch that. did being in that job make you happy? clearly not, as you've just mustered the bravery to quit. and in doing so, you've never felt more joyful.
did you really make the right decision?
just as you were pondering your own question, your phone buzzed on the bedside table. you grabbed it and saw that the caller was renjun, your incredibly patient best friend.
"y/n," he said, his tone becoming unusually serious. "what's up?" you asked. "do you need money?" "yeah?" "here's the deal: our college is putting together a documentary film, and they've chosen your department. but guess what? your old classmates are bombarding me with messages because it looks like you're ignoring them all. frankly, i can't believe you even answered my call," he griped. "wait, hold on. what film? and why would they pick me? are they searching for someone with a post-college life so sad that it belongs in a documentary?" "well, you were practically a legend back in college, so… and apparently, the director specifically wants you, which leads to… well, another issue…" "what's the problem now?" "it's going to be directed by jaemin."
and just like that, you ended the call. but a few seconds later, renjun's call came in again.
"i'm not going to do it." "you stubborn brat." "why him?" "i have no idea!" "why is he even directing? wasn't he studying architecture or something?" "i don't know, y/n. i haven't heard a single thing about him since your graduation." "what do you mean?" "that's not important now, y/n. you're in need of money, right? seize the opportunity. do it for the cash." “so will you do it or will you do it?” “for the cash.”
...
"y/n, you've moved on, haven't you? what's done is done. i'm pretty sure jaemin has forgotten all about it. this chance is coming your way, so just accept it." "i guess i will."
you're drawn in by the idea of making some extra money and the possibility of catching the eye of potential agents or employers. right now, you're at a crossroads, thinking about how this documentary could be a stepping stone to more job opportunities down the line. this situation is different from what usually drives you – this time, it's not about others, it's about focusing on your own goals and aspirations.
you're deliberately avoiding dwelling on your past. just as renjun mentioned, you've moved beyond it. what's done is done. right now, your focus is firmly on the present and the potential that lies ahead in the future.
what's in the past is behind us, including whatever existed between jaemin and you.
from renjun
tomorrow at lunchtime, they'll be going over the schedules and discussing what to film. if you want, you can chat with the director now. his number is 0825 813 2000.
in response, you simply replied with a "okay."
the night before the lunch meeting, a jumble of emotions has you in its grip. the idea of reconnecting with jaemin, who used to be your best friend and is now someone distant, fills you with a sense of awkwardness. you tell yourself that this is about working together and the chance to grow professionally.
after taking a deep breath, you decide to shoot jaemin a text. your fingers hesitate as you type, and the uncertainty you're feeling seems to seep into your message. you finally press send, and your text reads, "hey, it's y/n. heard we're meeting tomorrow for the documentary. just wanted to check in before that."
in almost no time, your phone buzzes with a response: "hey y/n, good to hear from you. yeah, looking forward to our meeting. let's catch up and chat about the project."
the conversation is polite, but beneath the surface, there's an unspoken layer of complexity. you can feel the hesitation in your exchange, a silent recognition of the shared history that's now a distant memory. as you talk about the meeting and the documentary, the easy flow you once had is noticeably absent.
as the texts go back and forth, a sense of tension seems to hang in the air. it's as though the years of friendship you once had are casting a shadow over your conversation. the effortless connection you once shared now requires effort, and both of you can sense the change.
as the conversation wraps up with a simple "see you tomorrow," you're left with a mix of excitement and anxiety. the idea of seeing jaemin again, especially in a professional context, stirs up a range of emotions. this situation is a stark reminder of just how much things have changed – and maybe how some things can't go back to the way they were.
you believed the conversation had concluded, only for your phone to ring once more, bearing yet another message from him. as you read the words on the screen, "i missed you, y/n," a rush of emotions floods over you.
"what's going on with him?" you mutter to yourself, your eyebrows knitting together in confusion. your gaze remains fixed on the message for a moment, your attention drawn to the three blinking dots in the corner – a sign that he's in the process of typing a response. several more seconds tick by, the dots eventually vanishing, and in response, you shut your phone off. you make an attempt to settle into bed and get some rest, but truth be told, it's hard to claim you managed to sleep soundly that night. an undercurrent of thoughts and emotions keeps your mind restless.
the day of lunch lunch finally arrived. you sat across from jaemin, his words forming a distant hum as your thoughts remained clouded and preoccupied. the lingering impact of his recent message kept you in a state of unease, making it difficult to fully engage in the conversation he was leading.
then, something inside you snapped, and you found yourself abruptly interrupting him with a question that had been gnawing at you, "why me?"
he looked at you, his gaze steady, and his response was quick, "why not you?"
your frustration simmered as his words hit you. he was choosing to be cryptic, and it was only adding to your confusion. pushing past your exasperation, you pressed on, "listen, i know we didn't part on the best terms, but why come back now and act like everything's fine? i mean, sure, it's better than hostility, but why choose me? i'm the one who's no longer part of your life."
his expression remained neutral, void of any emotions as he replied, "that's not true."
you raised an eyebrow, challenging him to elaborate. "what's not true?"
"that you have nothing to do with my life, y/n," he stated firmly.
the weight of his words settled heavily between you two, the gravity of the situation growing more apparent. the lunch table had transformed into an arena for confronting unresolved issues.
you scoffed, unable to hold back your disbelief. "jaemin, i made one mistake, and now you're trying to imply that my actions shaped your entire life?"
his eyes held yours, unwavering. "y/n, it's not just about that one mistake. everything that followed, everything that shaped who i am today… it's all connected to you."
your mind reeled, trying to grasp the enormity of what he was suggesting. the complexities of your shared history seemed to crash over you, leaving you grappling with a whirlwind of emotions and a tangled web of unspoken feelings.
the weight of his words left you momentarily speechless, and in an attempt to shift away from the intensity, you sought to change the subject. "where are the other producers? why is it just you here?"
"y/n…" he began, his tone suggesting he wanted to continue the previous conversation.
however, you opted to sidestep the discussion entirely. you pretended as if the profound exchange hadn't just occurred. "i notice you're taking on the role of a director now. quite the career shift, huh?" you inquired, masking your internal turmoil with a casual demeanor. you acted as if there hadn't been a two-year gap in your connection, as though things between you were perfectly ordinary.
he met your gaze, a faint hint of something unreadable in his eyes. "i pursued another dream when i felt i'd lost the chance for my first one."
"your first dream… not architecture, then?" you prodded, curious about the direction he had taken.
he shook his head, a soft chuckle escaping him, leaving you puzzled yet again. "no, not architecture. well, i suppose that just wasn't meant for me back then, but maybe it is now."
the cryptic nature of his response only added to the layers of confusion and intrigue that surrounded him. there was something about the way he spoke that hinted at deeper currents beneath the surface, emotions and experiences that he hadn't fully revealed. you found yourself torn between the desire to push for answers and the instinct to allow him his privacy. the lunch meeting had transformed into a stage for untangling not just the complexities of the documentary but also the intricate web of emotions and history between you and jaemin.
leaving the restaurant, a whirlwind of unanswered questions dances in your mind. yet, for now, you choose to tuck those thoughts away, focusing instead on the looming filming date just a few days away – next saturday.
in the span of time between that lunch and the upcoming shoot, jaemin proves consistent in his attempts to bridge the gap between you two. he regularly reaches out, updating you about his day and proposing get-togethers, which you consistently decline.
the days pass, marked by a series of messages and missed opportunities. despite the undeniable tension, there's an undeniable persistence on jaemin's part, a determined effort to reconnect and reestablish a sense of familiarity. however, your apprehensions and the memories of your past dynamics hold you back, keeping you from embracing his overtures.
as the countdown to the filming day continues, you find yourself in a delicate dance – balancing the unresolved history between you and the prospects of the future. the lines between your personal and professional lives are blurred, and the documentary project becomes a backdrop against which the intricacies of your relationship with jaemin play out.
you find yourself constantly pondering what his intentions could be. his actions leave you wondering, and you can't help but question what he's aiming for. in your perspective, you're merely a negative aspect of his life – a streak of misfortune. you would have expected him to have learned from the past, but his determination remains unshakeable.
as you contemplate these thoughts, your phone lights up once more, bearing yet another message from him. his name on the screen triggers a whirlwind of emotions – a mixture of uncertainty, annoyance, and a hint of curiosity. opening the message, you brace yourself for whatever he might convey this time. the consistency in his attempts at communication only serves to deepen the intricate web of emotions you hold for him, leaving you caught between your shared history and the unpredictability of the present.
"the offer's still there, y/n. :)" "jaemin, let's be real. just because i'm on board with your documentary idea doesn't mean we're suddenly best buds again. a lot has changed." "i want to reconnect, though." "actually, scratch that. i want to get to know you all over again." "jaemin, i appreciate the effort, but let's keep things professional, okay?" “i’m sorry, y/n. goodnight.”
after your straightforward message, his responses ceased. a silence settled in, stretching on until saturday – the day you were set to see him again. the anticipation and uncertainty had been building, and now the moment was finally at hand.
you stepped into the studio and immediately noticed that you and jaemin were the only ones present. your confusion must have been evident on your face, prompting him to address the situation promptly.
"um, the team thought having fewer people in the room would create a more personal atmosphere," he began, his voice carrying a hint of unease. "and, well, they decided to keep me here, you know, being the director and all, and also because we have a history…"
his words trailed off, and there was a subtle vulnerability in his tone. it was as if he was acknowledging the intricacies of your past connection, while simultaneously recognizing the complexities it introduced into your current dynamic. the studio, usually a place of creativity and collaboration, had transformed into a space laden with the weight of your shared history.
"it's okay," you responded, your words carrying a touch of reassurance. as your reply registered, a faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips – a detail you couldn't help but notice. after all, it was that very smile that had ignited four years of your life, a smile that held memories and emotions you had both shared.
"um, i'll just ask you a few questions, and then you're free to go," he stated, his voice carrying a hint of nervousness that didn't escape your notice. this new facet of his demeanor felt unfamiliar to you, a departure from the confident jaemin you had known.
you found yourself disliking this uneasiness, and a thought occurred to you – maybe it was time to rekindle something within him. as he began asking you questions, you decided to respond in a way that would evoke a certain familiarity between you two. it was a subtle attempt to bridge the gap, to draw out the person you once knew.
you had believed that his silence was what you wanted. you had convinced yourself that distancing yourself from him would protect you from the past mistakes. but now, facing the reality of the situation, you realized that perhaps a certain selfishness was ingrained within you. maybe, just maybe, you yearned to erase the distance, to defy your own rationalizations.
in this moment, you found yourself yearning to rekindle what had been lost, to bring back a connection that once meant so much. the conflicting emotions within you painted a complex picture of your desires – a battle between self-preservation and the longing for something more.
however, as you locked eyes with him and saw the lack of any discernible emotion in his gaze, a haunting wave of fear resurfaced within you. in that moment, it was as if time rewound, taking you back to the day of your graduation when your heart and spirit had felt shattered. the memory of that painful experience rushed back, accompanied by the doubts and uncertainties that had plagued you.
if you were to truly confront your own feelings, you'd admit that what you witnessed that night had left you questioning your own worth. the events had stirred up doubts about whether you had ever been deserving of taking risks for, whether you had ever been someone worth fighting for.
"hey, good morning, y/n."
"morning, director."
"how's today treating you?"
"pretty good, thanks."
"hmm, and what's life been like after college?"
"…"
"take your time."
"at first, i felt okay. my friends were all getting closer to their dreams, and i was genuinely happy for them. especially…"
"especially who?"
"especially the person i left behind."
"…"
"i was content being happy for someone else. then another year went by, and i wasn't feeling so great anymore."
"do you really think they're happy?"
"hmm?"
"the person you left behind."
"yeah. and my other friends seem happy too. they've got jobs they love, they're with people they care about, and i only had… renjun *laughs* … but sometimes, i can't help but feel like i'm the one who got left behind, you know? even though i was the one who walked away."
"let's talk about your person."
"oh *laughs* he's not my person."
pausing for a moment, you glanced at jaemin behind the camera. the question lingered in your mind: what was he trying to do? his actions and intentions remained a puzzle.
his expression grew serious, his gaze fixed intently on you. it was as if he had something to convey, something he was holding back.
"the last time i actually saw him was in an instagram post. he was with some girl. it happened on my graduation day. i waited the whole day, hoping he'd appear in the midst of the crowd. when he didn't, i held onto the possibility of seeing him by the gates. but that didn't happen either. my last hope was maybe he'd send me a single message, but by the end of the day, nothing came. then i went on instagram and saw a photo – a warning, i guess. a warning that i should just stop hoping. that… happened a few weeks later, i think. or maybe it was just a few days after our argument, the one where he told me he couldn't love… yeah."
you met his gaze and once again, his face was serious. his eyes were furrowed and his mouth was slightly open. a few moments passed, and he let out a shaky breath. screw it, you thought, it's out there now and i don't care anymore.
your silent exchange was interrupted as he shifted the camera away. confusion clouded your thoughts as you watched him move. he turned back to you, his expression still serious, and then he grabbed a chair from the nearby table. he sat down with his back facing you.
the room felt charged with unspoken emotions, leaving you to question his intentions and actions. it was as if he was peeling away layers, searching for something beneath the surface.
"did you know that…" he began, his voice breaking the silence. "she was his sister?"
"i never told you about her, that's on me," he admitted with a chuckle. "that was her last day, y/n. so i decided to spend the entire day with her. i'm sorry."
you were taken aback. "i'm sorry–"
"it's okay, y/n."
"i know i left you with so many questions that night, but let me tell you… every effort you made, every cookie you baked, i cherished all of it. i loved you. i'm sorry if my actions made you doubt yourself."
another pause filled the air.
"i left when you left."
"you were my dream. architecture wasn't really my passion, you know? i was struggling a lot, but luckily, you were there with me. i decided to chase after what i truly loved when you left, because i realized if i wanted you back in my life, it should be when i'm at my best, right? i wasn't lying when i said i couldn't love. i didn't want to love you when i was broken. i wanted to be the best version of myself for you. i thought that if i wanted you to be with the best person, then that should be me. so i became that person, a director, and then i planned all of this." his eyes finally met yours.
"i was always looking at you."
tears welled up in your eyes, and he seemed to notice. he took a step towards you and enveloped you in his arms.
"i'm sorry for not holding onto you back then, baby. but i promise, i won't let go of you now," he whispered.
"i'm sorry for leaving, jaemin," you sobbed.
"shh, you did what you thought was right."
"do you want to have lunch with me now?" he asked.
a mixture of emotions flooded your heart, and with a nod, you replied, "yes, jaemin."

"One Too Many"
-----------------------------------------------
I never really had an eventful life. Not because I haven't lived it, it's just that there is a certain comfort to being at home. I'd love to go to a party with friends, but I'm not the best at talking to randoms. But one random night, just like any other night, I got a call from one of my friends asking me to pick them up. It so happens that my friend wasn't doing so good at this party. I quickly rushed over to pick her up. She smelled of booze; carrying herself in a drunken stupor. My other friend managed to open her phone and call me up. They continued to party while I was tasked to bring her home. Not quite how I wanted to spend my evening but what are friends for? I guess.
"Hey... Dude... We're here... Get out... What do you mean you can't walk? Fuck... Of course, you can't walk... Do you know how shitty your tolerance is with alcohol? I mean... Why the fuck are you drinking? What do you mean don't be mad at you?!? Don't you dare start crying... Ughhh... Okay... Okay... fuck... I'm sorry for shouting at you... Tomorrow I am lecturing you till your ears bleed... Get up... I'll drop you off... Careful... careful... Where are your keys? Uhuh... Alright... If you need to vomit... I left your garbage can next to your bed... Call me in the morning..."
After settling her in, I quickly made my way to the door only to be stopped by a quiet voice. Something that I would usually ignore but quickly followed a barrage of tears and sniffles. How could I leave her alone?
"Nooo, I wasn't leaving... I was just going to grab you some water... What's wrong? Do you need to vomit? No? Thennnn.... why are you crying? You don't wanna be alone... Did something happen at the party that I should know of? There was a guy... and he was hot? And you wanted to bring him home... but you said what? Oh my fucking god... You didn't... No shit that would scare him off... Okay okay... I'm sorry I'm sorry... So you're upset that you screwed it up... It's okay we all fuck up sometimes... What? Dude you're plenty pretty... You'll get another chance... Maybe next time don't drink too many drinks before trying to flirt with someone... Especially if you plan on bringing them home..."
I was jealous. I shouldn't be complaining seeing as how I never made an effort to put myself out there. Plus I wasn't exactly ugly or bad-looking. It's more like a hidden treasure type of deal. Under the scowl and heavy clothing, I had a good smile and I was pretty hot. I just never really had the confidence to show myself off or flirt. What's more, is that I always wanted someone to come up to me and shoot their shot. Hearing her talk about some random guy, irked me. But, I hid away the jealousy and wiped away her tears. Searching through her drawers for some tissue to clean her snot-filled nose. She's such a baby when she's drunk.
"Here... Blow your nose for me... Thank you, good girl... I'm going to grab you some water and I'll be back... Promise... What do you mean you don't want me to leave? You really need to sober up... Yes, I'm not going anywhere... What? C'mon, use your words... What do you need? It's hot? Uhm... then go get changed... Help you? No way... I am not going to help you... Do you even understand what you're asking me right now? Hi hello... It's me... Your friend... That'd be weird... Okay okay... stop crying jeez... I'm going to pick out your pajamas...Alright... I'll just be right there... You can see me still... Ugh, dude... I'm literally a few steps away... Fine okay... You can hold my hand and follow me... Better? Good... Yes yes... the fluffy pajamas I know..."
There was a certain appeal to her vulnerability. Funny enough, it's like seeing Batman cry. A rare event. Seeing her cling on to me was nice. Despite that, I had to steel my resolve to get through what came next. Undressing her. I had her sit down on the bed. Unbuttoning her blouse. Lifting her shirt. And finally, finding myself shaking while unhooking her bra. A little difficult considering my eyes were shut. But it was my weak attempt at keeping my morals in check.
"C'mon put your arm through... There we go... Good... Alright wriggle outta that skirt... It looks uncomfortable... You're making me feel hot... Now... Im going to turn around while you put these on... Help you? You're joking right... You're probably just sober and teasing me now... Why would do I have to help you put on panties? I know you're wobbling but... Fine, let's just get this over with..."
Little whimpers escape her lips; each leg is fitted through her panties. Doing my best to stare at the floor than to look at her bare pussy. My thumb grazing along her thighs. A slight tremble feeds back into me. A glance reveals a newly formed wet spot. Upon release, I found my hands around her soft hips. I look back at her; only to find her breathing heavily unsure of what to do with herself. She quickly places herself atop me without a word.
"H-hey... Uhm... We still have to put your pajama bottoms on... Are you-... Wait... Woah woah... S-slow down... You're just a little drunk... Let's slow down before you regret something... I really don't wanna- Mmmph... Mmm...."
Lips interlocked. Time passes both slowly and quickly. Hips picking up speed to ease the tension. My morality slowly crumbled with each and every kiss. Each and every grasp of her body leading us deeper and deeper into sin. Even if she did initiate, I found myself slowly gaining dominance. My entire body leaning into her; needing more. Wanting more. Even her kisses began to stifle at my relentless assault. She gave off a look of complete submission as if to say anything to ease that burning sensation. But enough with pretty words, all I really wanted to do right now was to fill this room with her pretty little moans. My hands finding their way south; rubbing along the newly formed wet spot. Teasing her. An incoherent and feeble attempt at communication was made. Her protests were brought to a halt with every little slide of my thumb. She soon realized the more she put up a fight, the more I would tease her. No amount of bratting would have gotten her out of that situation.
"You're squirming an awful lot... What's wrong? Oh, is that it? Such a needy baby... You want more? What a greedy little girl... Not enough stimulation? What? Unsatisfied? Because I don't fuck you like how the other guys do? Shove my cock into your pretty little holes until completion? Yeah... We don't do that here... You've never been teased properly before, have you? Well, that's no fun... Why don't we fix that? Listen you can fuck whoever you want... however you want... But you're with me right now... And if you want my attention... you're going to have to listen... Let's see... I'll give you what you want... But on the condition that I get to freely do as I please... And all you have to do is sit there and take it... If you can last three minutes without whining or cumming... You can use me however you want... Do we have a deal?"
Not that she was in any position to decline. It was just amusing seeing her struggle to behave. I don't blame her. Kind of hard to resist when the one thing you've been waiting your whole night to have is just right there in front of you. And you can't do a thing about it. It's like placing a treat on a dog's nose. Lesson being, good pups that wait will get their reward. Her hands cover her mouth. Eyes rolling back with every flick of my thumb. Her pussy dripping wet from all the attention.
"Look at you... Doing such a good job... Why so quiet, love? Does it not feel good? Maybe I should rub a little faster then... There we go... Now I can hear you... What was that? Use your words, girl... Slow down..? Now why would I do that? When you're such a drippy little mess... you're basically forming a puddle under us... Aren't you ashamed? Making such a filthy mess... Almost there, sweetheart... Two more minutes..."
Two hellish minutes which seemed like forever. I can only imagine what's going on in her head. To make things worse, my touch slowly lost its vigor. Strokes of my thumb dwindle to a tiny tap on her needy clit driving her restless. An incoherent babble of words. A slight buck in her hips to rub herself against me. It would seem she wasn't aware of what she was doing at this point. All she knew is that she needed to cum. Ten seconds remain. I'll tell you now that I am a pretty sore loser when it comes to these sorts of deals. Without a thought, I was also nearing my limit. Sliding myself into her. I could quickly feel her warmth envelop me. It was nearly impossible to stop thrusting into her. It felt as if she was cumming with each and every thrust.
"Cumming again? How many times was that? Oh? It hurts? You can take it, sweetie... I'm almost there... Just a little longer, alright? I promise... and while you take a break... I'll use you're pretty little mouth... and we'll go for another round or two, yeah? I know you're shaking... but this is what you wanted, right? To be fucked senseless? Now just stay there and... take it... Be a good girl... and take it... F-fuck... "
I lost count of the number of times I came in her that night. Bent over the desk. All around the bed. The living room. The shower. On the couch. Even in the hallway of her apartment. I wouldn't be surprised if someone saw us. But we didn't care. Or well, I didn't care. By the end of the night, I had her mindlessly moving her hips on my cock. Up and down. Unattentive to how much time has passed. A cock drunk little slut waiting on every little word that escaped my lips. I knew then that life was going to be a little less boring.

Respectfully,
Honey

3 steps for a love confession — DCA x Y/N
First step, analyze their feelings for you. Done.
Second step, accept them. Done. Hardly.
Third step…
Confess.
There you were, sitting behind the desk. The kids had recently left, the Pizzaplex hadn't closed yet.
Good, great, wonderful. They have time.
Sun had excused himself to you, saying that he had to tidy up some things in his room. Of course… walking around the site, accustomed to nimbly dodging the pile of things lying on the floor, was the complete opposite of that.
Thank the stars that he and Moon can communicate internally, or his incessant nervous chatter would have been noticed by you a long time ago.
"How is someone supposed to confess their feelings? What are we supposed to do? You know how bad I am at telling the truth, I'll just say something stupid to avoid it and ruin it, I'm sure. Very sure!" Sun paced back and forth, his beams spinning as he tried to think. Poor thing, anyone who saw him from the outside could tell that he had gone crazy. He even moved his hands in expressive gestures as he communicated with Moon.
"Staying up here, not talking to them, probably not much will happen if we keep doing this."
"Moon! I'm serious! I'm not good at this, and you- neither are you!"
"Rude."
"You know what I mean."
"So cruel."
"Moon."
"I know, I'm just playing."
Sun sighs, stopping his pacing. "Maybe a letter? They're nice, and personal, and… oh, no, no, I'm going to get carried away and probably make them feel uncomfortable, plus I don't have self-control with details, and drawings, and glitter glue-" Sun he lets out an exasperated groan in his mind space, causing Moon to growl. "Why is this so difficult?!"
"Noisy."
"Please be of more help, you also want them to know how we feel." Sun says, with a tired expression.
"Flirt until they find out?"
"Oh, please…" Sun says annoyed, placing a hand on his forehead in disappointment.
"Hey, it's not even that terrible." Moon defends himself against his reaction. "You don't have to be too obvious… just play around."
"It's easy for you to say, you always do…"
"Not like this…"
Sun is silent for a few seconds, and then groans softly knowing that he is accepting his proposal.
"I guess we can try." He crosses his arms, looking down at the Daycare through his balcony.
"I have an idea."
"You do?"
"Yes."
"… Should I trust you?"
"Maybe you should, maybe you shouldn't." Moon responds, with a very soft laugh.
Sun has a feeling that he's going to regret it.
———
When the crepe paper rose is ready, Sun holds it in one hand, while the other one holds a piece of sticky tape.
"… This is goofy… even for me."
"If you don't try, you'll never know."
"Don't apply my sayings to me!"
"Just do it."
Sun complains silently, and begins with the last step of Moon's idea. Best scenario, it really works. Worst scenario… he'll resign himself to letting you see him and will stay in his room forever.
"… I'll blame you if anything happens."
———
There's at least an hour left before the Pizzaplex closes its doors. You are reviewing some messages that you forgot to reply to. Yep… it was definitely a good idea to have disabled the option to show when you read a message. It saves you from the idea that they will hate you for losing social energy mid-conversation and leaving them on seen.
You're in the middle of drinking some coffee you ordered, when you feel Sun approaching. You usually let him talk or do something, so you don't turn to look at him. But he doesn't do anything, so oddly enough, you look away from the screen to where you know he is.
And you're immediately greeted by the sight of Sun, with a paper rose taped to his smile. His eyes narrow with excitement as he leans across the desk. "Hello, Sunshine~"
A wink from him, and- Oop.
You just choked on your coffee from how badly that caught you off guard, coughing and covering your mouth as you look away in panic.
"Oh no, no, no! Sunshine! Sorry! Sorry! Bad timing for that! I'm really sorry!" Sun tries to get his hands closer to you but he doesn't know how to help, and seeing him with the rose still stuck to his mouth doesn't help your coughing stop.
———
"I knew it was a bad idea! I knew it! I knew it! And you knew it! You wanted to make fun of me!" Sun yells into his headspace, pressing a Freddy stuffed plushie against his face.
"But the flirting worked, they were blushing and embarrassed."
"They weren't blushing nor embarrassed! They were choking!"
"… Isn't that how embarrassed people react to something like that?"
"Moon!"
… The third step will have to be postponed.

Hi Yuri! I hope you are doing well<333 I really enjoy reading your writing and I am always more fond of reading the little octatrio fish gang! I dont really know how this usually works because I never send in any asks at all nor do I see your rules list or anything but if you dont mind I would like to make a request<3
A mc who finds an out of tune and old piano and fondly remembers that they used to play piano back in their world. And perhaps Azul hears in on this and despite the piano being old and out of tune, it is rather beautiful how you play it because of how imperfect the notes are being played out. (SORRY I WAS LISTENING TO FALLEN DOWN AND THE FEELINGS WERE JUST SURGING AND THE BRAINROT WAS TOO MUCH)
You dont have to force yourself or anything! Please take care and dont feel too pressured! <3

Hello dear friend and I am doing quite well thank you! I'm pleased you like my writing; the octotrio is what finally cracked my resolve to check out Twisted Wonderland and put FGO on the back burner so I suppose I shouldn't beat myself up too much for writing about them so much. I am sorry I caused you stress with my lack of rules, I don't usually send requests or asks myself, so I felt really bad to have frightened you. Not too sure if this will end up being what you had in mind, it got away from me a bit.
Also when you say Fallen Down, you do mean the Undertale soundtrack piece right? It's a soothing song I listened to it while I was plotting this to try and get into a similar headspace.
notes: they/them used for Yuu, header taken from the painting Spirit by George Roux (1885) which I found on this wordpres blog article I took the title from, it's a neat painting, Azul learning to find beauty and love in imperfections is important to me ok? Other works can be found on my masterlist here.

Sometimes you wonder if Ramshakle is sentient. The old building has more rooms than you know what to do with, and lovely as the ghosts are they don't fully remember what they were used for, if they remembered in the first place. But still there was something about those rooms that seemed to love you; he guest room almost built itself up around you, the kitchen had only needed some basic repairs before it was ready to help play host again, and no matter where a fire place was found it was always eager to burst to life and warm you and Grim.
It does not have the same love for Azul, he'd complained as much when you talked about just what it was he wanted with the building after the events of his overblot had cooled between you.
"It's got a graveyard in front of it, though?" That really had been the crux of your whole argument. It was hard to be annoyed with his laugh when it sounded so nice, the genuine amusement a refreshing difference to his previous performitive indifference.
"Yes," he muses, sipping at his real before he continues, "I'm not bothered by that much, ghosts and grave ships aren't uncommon sights under the sea, but I always forget how unusual humans think they are."
"There's a lot of superstitions about places where people are buried." You mean it as an explanation, but it brings an odd look to Azul's face, like there's an emotion bubbling beneath his surface he doesn't want to acknowledge but is too strong to suppress. It settles over you both, as you try to focus on drinking your tea while your host seems content to let his grow cold.
"Well, I suppose it's a good thing that ruin isn't really sentient." He sounds almost bitter, disappointed in how long he has let his drink cool you decide as he reaches for the pot and warms it with some fresh tea. "Otherwise, I'd accuse it of trying to keep you."
It's a silly thought, but the sight of this latest discovery really does have you wondering. You are supposed to be in that wonderfully accommodating kitchen making snacks for when Azul decides to "coincidentally drop by" later this evening to "go over the Lounge's expenses" in your guest room. On a Tuesday. When it was almost guaranteed business would be slow enough to keep anyone from wondering too hard about where he'd gone or the twins from being too upset about running things. But instead of "just wanting to try" a new recipe, you are here, tucked in a room just a bit further down the hall from the guest room watching Grim give his best impression of Ace after completing a magic trick. Because stars know he has never seen any other magicians.
"TA-DA!" He puts both of his paws out to really sell the piano at the window. "See, I told you I had a great surprise!"
"I'm sorry for not believing you." You say and try not to laugh with just how much more proud that seems to make him. "But where did you find this? Or how I guess, unless you moved it?"
"Nah." He shakes his head before remembering he's supposed to be the "great" Grim. "I mean I could have! But I'm just so cool I managed to find a piano here already, so all I had to do was clean it up instead! You're welcome henchuman." You scratch just behind his ears and politely ignore his purrs as you examine the piano and its bench. They're old, likely just as ancient as everything else in the dormitory and likely extremely, achingly out of tune. But the mere sight of it makes your fingers itch, and Grim barely has to whine "Well ain't you gonna play somethin'?" Before you're at the bench, experimentally pressing the keys to try and sound out something.
Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are-
You hum it rather than sing, irrationally worried Grim will somehow figure out it's a lullaby and complain that you're babying him instead of cutely dancing along with the music like it's one of the cassettes Deuce let you borrow. He cheers for another, and you oblige, letting your muscle memory carry you as far as it can as you try searching your brain for just what it was you wanted most to hear from yourself after all this time being unable to play.
And missing the click of a heavy door down the hall in the effort.
Azul hears nothing at first, and though it does disappoint, it does not bother him. He's had a long day, one about to be made longer still by the grey zone already draping itself around his thoughts as he shrugs his blazer off to his shoulders while en route to the Ramshackle guest room. He pauses, for what he tells himself is only going to be second, at the kitchen door and is left unrewarded for his detour.
You aren't there: and that does bother him somewhat, even if it should not if his pretext is to be believed. These visits were too commonplace to be random, but maybe you'd made plans, deciding not to look past his excuses for the evening. Maybe you were asleep, tired of the day or just plain tired of him. But there is a kettle sat on it's base, mercifully not on just yet, but two mugs and the pour over cone set next to as if it was expecting company. The nerves remain knotted in his stomach, though the cause shifts towards something more welcome.
So you do have a mug purposefully set aside and designated just for him, and is that a little recpie card with notes on coffee taped to that tin? These things should worry him, the picture he snaps and immediately hides in a folder should be for a purpose. But it's separate from those ones, labeled something inane and barely full with how careful he is to have his longing remain unseen. He wonders, briefly if it would be an intrusion to make the drinks himself. If it would reveal to much to show outright he knows the way you take yours instead of just saying it in time with your order, but knows that would not be the exact issue here. He is a guest, and guests limit themselves to the halls and that room he forces himself, with haste that would be noticeable if you were there to see it, back down the hall and back towards the guest room. Azul has work to do, he can content himself with the warmth the mental image the cups on the counter produces until something forces him to pause at a door once more. The piano is old, droning out a tune that is unpolished and rusty from the player's lack of practice but filled with such a specific sort of joy it has him actually running towards it.
You sit at the bench, a serious look of determination on your face so unlike the usual Yuu it can't help but be cute. Grim sleeps contentedly on your lap as you continue searching for the threads of melody still trapped inside your head from years of only occasionally reluctant practice. It's an unfamiliar tune in composition, but not in feel. There's words to this song, maybe not in the form of lyrics, but there all the same for him to stumble even closer to as he comes to a halting stop just behind you and the music ends in a surprised crash as you whip your head around to see him.
"Azul!"
"Very sorry to interrupt." He holds up both hands in surrender, composure only just maintained as you check to see Grim still asleep and laugh nervously. "I didn't know you could play."
"Can't really." You say somewhat bitterly and more confidence comes to Azul as a slight plan froms in his mind. "I'm really out of practice ugh. I know it shouldn't annoy me! But with how everything's been since I showed up, it's just not been on my mi- Oh hello?"
Azul fully removes his jacket and sets it on a side table close to where he had been satanding, moving to sit on the bench next to you. He has enough mercy not to loosen his tie or do anything else scandalous, but the close examination he gives to the keys could have fooled you. "Pity it's so out of tune, this is a nice piano."
"I know right! I'm really happy Grim found it." You resist the urge to poke his cheeks some and Azul lightly, trying not to too openly relish in your surprise reaches one arm around your back to place his hands into a similar position as you had been earlier, tucking you close to his side.
"May I?" He's smug. Too smug it's robbing you of sanity.
"What's it going to cost?" You try too hard not to sound like you're flailing as you look to see your question hasn't even phased him at all.
"Oh normally I wouldn't dream of charging for a performance," he clearly lies "but it's been such a long day I wouldn't say no to a cup of coffee." And he's off, music only marred by the off key of the piano in a clearly purposeful display of talent meant to sear itself into your mind enough that you don't think about his request too long. You and he are from two different worlds, but he knows that music has a way of gapping that if the stories of the mermaid princess told him anything at all. So when he purposefully slows the song at its end, he knows you know, that tricky smile he swore once he'd always hate kicking his heartbeat up again as you lean fully against his shoulder.
"Beautiful." You say, not bothering to give the compliment direction as he can't help but agree. "We should play together next time."
"I-" You pick yourself up and what he wants to say slows when you pick up his jacket for him and hold out a hand. Later, he all to easily decides. Later, without Grim and with specific time set purposefully aside so you know just how much it matters. "I would like that. You'll have to show me the songs that you can remember from your world." And he takes your hand just to soothe some of the ache, trying and failing not to show just how happy he is when you keep it.

ETA: i have since learned that my interpretation of kuro was slightly wrong, as in this post i refer to sebastian as "the villain" when that is,,, completely incorrect. my posts in the future will not have this error.
rant/vent post because i'm tired of everything.
about a week ago i was sharing my excitement for the new kuro anime in a discord server im in (that has nothing to do with kuro), and i come back to find that one of the members had expressed their discomfort for the anime because it "sexualizes children" and "romanticizes grooming". this felt like a fucking punch to the gut because not only is it such an anti take, it genuinely made me feel so shitty because kuro is my main hyperfixation and people talking shit about it made me feel like garbage.
first of all, yes, kuro does sexualize ciel. a lot, actually. and i'm sorry you were uncomfortable about that, but sexualizing ciel is actually the main point of the story. kuro is mainly told through the eyes of sebastian, who wants nothing but a meal. it is told from the eyes of a fucked up demon who wants to further traumatize and groom his master to make his soul taste better in the end. sebastian is ugly. he is disgusting. he's fucked up, he's a groomer, he's not the good guy. a lot of people don't realize that sebastian is the villain of the entire story.
kuro does not "romanticize" anything. just because you did not like, or were personally uncomfortable by a depiction of something does not mean it was "romanticized". just like how a show depicting murder and cannibalism does not romanticize murder and cannibalism. you cannot pick and choose here, and you have to consume media critically. it's surprising how many people think a piece of media has to hold their hand and explicitly tell the viewer that "hey these things are bad!" in order for them to enjoy it, because only children's cartoons do that.
i've said it before and i'll say it again: you shouldn't have been a part of the Super Fucked Up and Dark Series fandom if you are only going to whine and complain about how super fucked up and dark it is.
it's just sad how there's so many people in this fandom who can't look into the deeper meaning of kuro only because they see the content as "romanticizing bad things".
